Twilight Sparkle's adopted daughters Blue Sky and Silver Star are kidnapped.
Twilight Sparkle found them on her doorstep one night and takes them into her library home. She later learns that her daughter, Red Sun, has secret wishes and secret fears. When Red was a newborn filly her father, Starburst, was taken away from her and her mother by the royal guard. They don't know where he is, but they do know that he can never come back to Ponyville according to Princess Celestia. When she sees the Twin Fillies she is taken back to the memories that she hadn't thought of in years. And Red discovers that her mother's secret past and her destiny. When Twilight Sparkle's adopted daughters Blue Sky and Silver Star are kidnapped she is taken into deep tragic trance that can only be cured by true loves kiss. Red Sun must travel to Saddle Arabia to find her father and save her sisters and mother.
"Can I hold one!! Pleeeeeeease!!" begged Red Sun Twilight's only daughter.
"No,not yet at least. But you can help me with carrying them. Grab the saddle bags please," said Twilight.
When Red Sun went to go get the saddle bags Twilight stared into the babies eyes and cried. She was remembering the night Starburst was taken away by the royal guard because it was his turn to serve for them. He never came back. She didn't know why and Princess Celestia would not tell her. Red Sun was a newborn old enough to walk, she remembered that night. Twilight wished she didn't.
"Mother? Mom! Whats wrong? Why are you crying? Mom!" said Red Sun rather worriedly.
Twilight was in a flashback she could not hear anything outside of her pleads to the guards, Starburst telling her that everything would be alright, and Red Suns wailing for her father to come and hold her. Then she saw herself and Red reading the letter that Princess Celestia had sent reporting that Starburst would not be coming home - ever. Red running out of the library to Rarity's shop and telling Rarity's daughter Sapphire that her father was never coming back. All of her friends Pinkie Pie, Rarity, Apple Jack, Rainbow Dash, Flutter Shy, and Spike all running to the library to try to comfort them but not succeeding at all. Her never finding love again.
" Ow! Red! Why did you do that?" she said while wiping her eyes
"You were crying so i woke you up. You were thinking about Daddy weren't you?" Red Sun choked out. "Now can we please get them off the stoop and into the house where it's not raining,"
"Sure, you grab one and put it in the right bag and then the other in the left I'll crouch down... to make it easier," but really she was crouched down so she could see their eyes the blue one had her eyes and the silver one had Starburst's eyes. This isn't possible, she thought. This has to be what triggered the flash back! she and Starburst had known each other since they were old enough to talk. When the babes were tied into the bags Twilight got up and trotted to the old nursery and layed them in the cribs. Then she placed the delicate basket on the balloon shaped carpet and picked up the note that was stuck to the bottom of the basket and started to read it. My dearest Twilight I am writing to you from Saddle Arabia. I miss you and little Red very much I wish I could be there with you. These two baby fillies I found lying in the sand I took them with on my travels but soon realized that my work is to dangerous for babies. So I sent them on a train to Ponyville I told the conductor to deliver them to the library. If you or Red are reading this do not tell Celestia I have contacted you. If you do all of us will be in grave danger. Please take care of them I have been calling the blue one Sky and the silver one Star. Twilight they have Shining's coloring they may be his please look into this. I protected them with my life please do the same for them. I love you.

"Starburst," Twilight whispered a tear rolling her cheek.
"There is something I need to tell you. The fillies you found this morning your father found them in Saddle Arabia."
"WHAT!!!! You know where Daddy is!!" Red shouted
"Well not exactly but in the note he said that he is hoping we can take care of them. He said he calls the blue one Sky and the Silver one Star. They have Uncle Shining's coloring so Starburst seems to think they may be his but I know other wise. 1 year ago they were born, Princess Celestia took them away. I told you that they had been born dead,"
"And I believed you. All you ever did was lying. You lied to me! " yelled Red
"I know I cast an age spell on them so if they ever got back to me they would still be the way they were that night. And you might want to sit down for this. Red Sun, my daughter, I am Princess Twilight Sparkle. I am also and Alicorn," she spread her wings to show her daughter prove.
"Wohhhhhhhhhhhhhhh! I'm the daughter of a... a PRINCESS!" said Red Sun excitedly
"But Princess Celestia countered the spells so they are full grown Fillies now supposedly if the counter spell worked. Even if they are not my own I will treat them as mine." replied the young Princess.
"Mom why aren't living in Canterlot then. You are the Princess,"
"Because when Starburst was taken away and I had you I decided I should just return to the library for little while I was recovering from the shock of him not coming home."
"Oh. But when are we going back you have duties you know," Red sarcastically said.
"I know, when I leave for weeks at a time I am fulfilling those duties. But I am ready to return to those duties full time even with three children. Red we are leaving Ponyville tomorrow and going to the Palace. We will still return and spend time at the library every time there are duties to preform in Ponyville I will request to do them."\
"I am going to live in the Canterlot Palace!! That's amazing." Shouted Red.
"What! Mom we can't leave Ponyville this is our home!" Red Sun begged her mother.
"It wasn't always your home, remember we lived in the castle when your were little you were born there. Don't worry we will be able to visit Ponyville now and then."
"But Mom all my friends live here Sapphire, Apple Crisp, Sunset, Sprinkle, and Clouded Skies!"begged Red
"You will make new friends and its not like it will be forever,"
