Luna sat on a cloud, staring at her moon. It was beautiful night, but all the ponies were sleeping. It made her upset that she worked hard on raising the moon and everypony would shun it. She sighed. To Luna, her elder sister was more special then her. Everypony loved her sun and played in it every day. What couldn't it be switched around? Why couldn't ponies see how beautiful her night was? Why couldn't-

"Luna?" an elegant voice called. Luna turned, seeing a light gray alicorn mare with a white mane.

"Hey, mom..." Luna said, looking back at her moon. The gray mare flew over to Luna, joining her on the cloud.

"What's wrong Luna? You seem troubled, sweetie." Luna's mom said, nuzzling her. Luna sighed and pointed at her moon.

"The moon looks fine, Luna. I mean, you may sometimes put the moon in the wrong angle. But that was only-"

"It's not that." Luna said, interrupting her mother. Her mother tilted her head to the side.

"Then what's wrong?" she asked.

Luna sighed once more before saying, "Celestia is much more special then me." Luna's mother was shocked.

"Luna-" she began, before getting interrupted once again.

"Mom, everyone plays in Celestia's sunlight and shun my beautiful night," Luna said, a few tears falling. "It makes me feel like I'm not special for anyone!" Luna's mother held her close, nuzzling her.

"Shh..." Her mom said gently as Luna sobbed. She comforted her daughter for ten minutes before Luna's sobs turned into sniffles.

"Do you love Celestia more then me?" Luna managed ask. Her mother smiled at Luna.

"Luna, I love you and your sister equally," She said. "You both mean the world to me." Luna smiled at that.

"And Luna, just because no one plays in your night doesn't make you special. A lot of little mares look up to you."

"R-really?" Luna asked, looking at her mother hopefully.

"Yes, my little moon."

They both sat in silence, cuddling. But one final question lingered in Luna's mind.

"Mommy...?" She asked, looking up.

"Yes, Luna?"

"Is my night worthless?" Luna asked, looking up at the moon.

"Luna, your night is more than you think." Her mother said.

"Huh?" Luna asked, confused.

"A lot of ponies enjoy your night. They go camping, catch fireflies, and more," Her mother said. "Your night is more than wonderful."

"Is there such thing?" Luna asked, giggling.

Her mother laughed and said, "It must exist, because it's your night." Luna smiled, and looked at her moon.

More than you think... Luna thought. She liked that.

Luna's mother was dead.

She didn't how or when, but she was gone.

"N-no...y-you're lying!" Luna screamed at her sister. Celestia looked at her sister, tears fell down her cheeks.

"I'm sorry, Luna...but she's gone..." Celestia said. She got up, walking to her sister.

"Luna..." Clestia said, trying to nuzzle her.

"No..." Luna said, backing away from her sister. She didn't want Celestia's nuzzle, she wanted her mothers.

"She's not dead!" Luna screamed, running past her sister, out of the room. She ran outside, opened her wings and flew away from the castle. She wanted to get away from everything. She wanted to find her mother.

"Luna!" She heard someone call her name, but didn't turn to see who it was.

She's not dead...she can't be... Luna thought. Tears began to fall down her cheeks. Celestia's just lying... she tried to convince herself. The tears began to blur her vision, she couldn't see. She tried to blink then away, but the more she blinked the more the tears came. She felt her body falling toward the Earth. She closed her eyes, accepting her fate.

If mommy is dead, I can be with her... Luna thought. Her possible last tears fell. She felt her back come in contact to a rock-hard floor. She felt like her back was on fire. She closed her eyes, hoping to fall asleep forever.

She didn't ever want to wake up.

Luna opened her eyes.

"Am..am I dead?" She asked herself. She blinked a few times to find herself at an old castle. She sat up slowly, her legs felt like jello and her back was in pain. She looked around her surroundings. She saw her moon sitting right in front of an old, large window. She crawled over over to the window. Her moon reminded her so much of her mother.

"Oh, mother. You were the only one who truly understood my night..." Luna said to herself, hoping her mother could hear her. She looked at her moon. She always wanted it to always be there, never the sun. She wanted to remember when her mom told her that her night was more than she thought.

"Mom...I hope you're happy with dad now. You two are together in heaven now. I...I hope you will always remember me." Luna said. She knew her mother was gone. It was just her and Celestia.

Celestia... Luna thought, angrily. Her stupid sun won't remind me of mom...there must be no more sun. Luna smiled at the thought. She looked at her moon. An idea struck her. Eternal night...I can always remember mom by night. After all, she said that she loved it.

"I can always remember you now, mom." She got up walking right up to the window.

"From now on, you will be the symbol for eternal night." Luna said, grinning evilly.

Because I'm more than I think.
