> A Normal Day > by CrimsonEquine > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- > Chaos > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- It was a normal and boring day in Ponyville. The sun was shining as usual, it's bright light glistening over the average, yet happy town. But, lets get to what matters in the story. I, Discord, the magnificent and all-powerful, was lounging around on top of some random brownish tree in The Everfree Forest bored out of my mind. I stared at the sun with my epic and super-cool sunglasses, the sun's dominance glaring over me at the top of the sky. I felt such a inferiority to the sun and felt that it had to be put down. With my incredibly powerful and sexy magic, I pulled down the sun as the entire planet went onto darkness. This slight change in the norm pleased me for a good while. Until I inevitably heard the sound of that wretched hag that kept me under her damn leash. 1... 2... 3... "DISCORD!" shouted Celestia as she plummeted from the heavens glistening in terrifying fire. "HOW DARE YOU CHANGE THE ALIGNMENT OF THE SUN AND COVER THE PLANET WITH DARKNESS!" Celestia landed into the Everfree Forest burning a vicious aura of light and fire singeing trees that were close to her. She made a burning circle around her as she landed her hoofs on the ground. "Well hello Princess, it's a nice night isn't it? I see that you are positively glowing from your sheer beauty," said Discord politely. "PUT IT BACK!" roared Celestia making Discord's Tree fly off. Discord cringed at the sudden change of gravity while on top of his tree until he teleported it back to it's original position. "Why don't we play a game? If you can catch me, Then I will return your precious sun to it's boring place, so what do you say?" said Discord slyly. "NO! RETURN IT NOW!" Screamed Celestia. "Pssst, please, I dictate the terms! Now catch me if you can!" said Discord before he teleported away from the princess's vision. "NUARGH!" screamed Celestia in frustration. The Princess flew up into deep space over the planet and used her powerful magic to locate where Discord was. Her horn blinked yellow on the tip and she dived down all the way to Prance. There she found Discord sipping tea right next to a Prance cafe relaxing. She dive-bombed right at him and pinned him down on the ground after making a deep burnt hole. "Took you long enough to find me," said Discord. The Chaos God smiled at the distraught Princess's angered expression. "And you ruined my tea time." "ENOUGH GAMES! PUT IT BACK!" screamed Celestia ferociously. Her eyes flaring with rage and impatience. "Only if you say please," said Discord. His smile rising at the expense of The Princess's rage. Princess Celestia stood from the ground to unpin Discord. She took a deep breath and relinquished the flames from her body. She returned to her normal form and sighed. "Please, put back the sun to its original position," said Princess Celestia defeated. "Ah! I thought you would never ask. I am so glad you came to your senses!" said Discord jubilantly. With a snap of a finger, Discord instantly returned the sun to its original location. He picked himself up to find a sad pony-goddess looking down at the ground. "Whats wrong with you? Wasn't this game we played fun?," said Discord questionably. "What do you want?" asked Celestia. A heavy tone accompanied her voice. "What do I want? Well there is a lot of things I want like, Oh I don't know Chaos? Has it occurred to you that I am a being of Disorder and what? You expect me to do nothing but, lounge around in normalcy?" said Discord. His voice quivering in emotional stress. "I did not realize you were so unhappy. Why didn't you say something before?" said Princess Celestia. Her eyes filled with worry over her beloved dracon-equis. "Oh... I don't know... I never got around to it," said Discord. His face saddened by the realization of his own incompetence. ""sigh", I am sorry for plummeting the entire planet under darkness and I will make sure it never happens again okay?." Discord flew out of the hole to notice a circle of ponies around the crater. They were surprised and scared of the creature that flew out. Noticing the fear of the foals and colts cowering under their parent's bodies, he realized the damage he had caused. Discord teleported away to his home in another dimension. The dimension was colorful and had an endless emptiness of every color of the rainbow. Centered around the endless expanse of area, there was a floating seat aimlessly floating counterclockwise in the dimension. The seat was golden and had Discord's molded head on each side of the arm. Discord sat on his golden chair and stared into the empty rainbow dimension while the chair turned. Why do I exist if I only cause pain? Why in the world can't I have fun for a change? Why doesn't anyone want to do chaos with me? I am all alone in this vast universe. And, there is nothing I can do about it. "Eh, might as well just do nothing then," said Discord to himself. The Dracon-equis continued to stare blankly into the rainbow stream of his dimension. Out of nowhere, a hole in the dimension opened up. The hole continued to expand until it grew enough for a pony to fit through. Out of the magical portal appeared Princess Celestia. She glided through the dimension to catch up to Discord. "What is it now Princess? Can't you see that I am enjoying this hypnotic rainbow?" said Discord. His demeanor that of depression. "I can understand what you are going through and I have come up with a solution," said Princess Celestia. "And what could that possibly be?" said Discord. His eyes sparked with the fires of interest. Discord slightly opened his sunglasses to look into her eyes in anticipation to her answer. "Why don't we have a Discord Day?," said Celestia. "A Discord Day?" said Discord. His confusion grew at the idea of it. "Yes, a day about chaos and well... you get a free day to do almost whatever you want," said Princess Celestia. The princess watched as Discord's excitement rose through his face. Discord literally exploded energy causing Celestia's hair to be blown back. He started zipping around the dimension bouncing out of reality while yelling "Wooh!" enthusiastically. Then he returned to his seat realizing there had to be a catch. "Alright Princess, what does this "almost" mean?" questioned Discord. His eyes facing The princess judgementally. His arms crossed and his expression that of questionability. "Well there has to be some ground rules. Like, you can not raise the dead. You can't kill any pony or any being of Equestria..." droned on Princess Celestia. "Alright, alright, you can run it by me later," said Discord. He raised his hand and snapped the both of them back to Equestria right into the main chamber of the Royal Castle. Princess Celestia was in her chair while Discord was right in front of her. "Do we have a deal Discord?" said Princess Celestia. Her eyes that of worry of his decision. "Hmm, I would say..... yes!" agreed Discord. He shook The Princess's hoof and was exiting off before he turned around to say one last thing. "This will be a day you will never forget!". With those words ushered, Discord disappeared instantaneously back to his home dimension. Princess Celestia breathed an air of relief. I hope this satisfies' him or else more of his shenanigans might return Princess Celestia returned to doing her godly duties until the appointed date of Discord Day. End of Part 1: Chaos. "
