The story of Aj and her new life as LyraHeartstrings
Aj is a girl who's plane crashes and when she awakes she is in this weird world and begins a new life as a foal named Lyra Heartstrings. a terrible tragedy happens that leaves Lyra on her own with nothing left to remember her family by except the family harp The Harp Of Heartstrings. She is forced with no where to go except the Everfree Forest she fights her way through the forest. Catching many illnesses along the way making a exotic new Zebra friend named Zecora. Zecora helps heal Lyra of her illnesses and teaches all she knows of healing, Potions and spells, she even tells Lyra a few mare tales. After a while she sends Lyra out of the Ever free Forest into her new home Pony Ville where she makes some friends she will keep with her for eternity.
AJ lives a normal life And was on her way to Miami for spring break, that is until her plane crashes. When she awakens she finds herself at a cabin campgrounds and sees a big banner that says 'Heartstrings Family Reunion' on it, wondering what she is doing at someone elses family reunion and then she hears someone "Lyra! come inside its late" "Who is Lyra?" "You you silly filly!" "Oh Okay" "Now come inside before you get in trouble with Grandpappy" "Okay I'll be right in" Wonders what happened and when her name became Lyra Heartstrings. Goes inside to see a room full of ponies then looks in a mirror to see she is one as well and screams "AAAHHH!! What happened to me?!?!?!?" "Lyra! What's wrong?" "I'M A PONY!" "Well I would hope so You are my little granddaughter" She calms herself down and looks up on her forehead and sees a bone "?!?!Whats on my forehead?!?!?!" "that's your horn silly filly haha" "Oh well what does it do?" "Well nothing for yet after all you are only 5 years old but when you get older you can use it for magic" "Ooh" "Now get on up to bed we have a big day tomorrow the rest of the Heartstrings family will arrive for the reunion" "Okie dokie grandpappy" She heads upstairs and gets ready for bed realizing its not so bad and she could really get used to it.
The next morning Lyra is wakes up to see the sun isn't even up yet and thinks about going back to sleep until she sees her older sister Daisy next to her bed "What are you doing up this early Daisy?" "Early? ha ha! that's funny momma decided to let you sleep in" "How could before daylight be early?" "its only 6:30am we usually wake up at 6 goodness I would think you would know that" "HEY! I have been brain fogged lately its not my fault"Lyra says angrily as she crosses her hooves. "okay squirt stop your fussing you need to eat breakfast so we can go ahead and get the cabins ready for when the rest of the family gets here." The two head for the dining room and chow down and after doing their morning chores they head outside with their sister Lily and their friend Cherrie to clean the canoes and docs off then head to the other cabins to prepare them for the rest of the family. They finish right as their family starts to arrive. They play in the lake with their cousins and go canoeing by time they take a break it is time for the reunion to start. As the family gathers around for the reunion Lyra looks off into the woods and notices a shadow like figure moving around shes rubs her eyes assuming shes just imagining it but when she removes her hooves from her eyes she sees it running away so she just ignores it and takes a seat. After the reunion is finished for the day as she helps clean up she looks out on the lake to see the moonlight hit the water and admires it for a moment and sees the shadow figure again across the lake, She becomes a bit worried but she tries to ignore it. After cleaning up when its time to head in for the night. She heads in and goes to bed trying not to think of the shadow like figure but when she looks out the window of the log cabin she sees it holding a torch of rainbow like fire she stares at it in amazement but then the shadow disappeared leaving the torch on the dead grass she screams in horror as it catches the house on fire but as shes running out it seems her whole family has froze but the fire continues, She tries moving them but they won't budge but when she sees the shadow like figure for one of which she would assume her last times she holds a stare with it and after it breaks the stare her family unfroze she grabs her family harp looks behind her to see her family grabbing their things packing them up as if they didn't realize the fire had reached the roof she screams "COME ON! WE HAVE TO GET OUT BEFORE IT BURNS US TO ASHES!" Her family practically ignores her so she runs for the door in tears gripping onto her nearest possessions one of which is her family's magical harp said to have healing powers. She jumps for the door as the house comes crashing down behind her as she barely makes it to the lake shore fast enough she turns around to see her house burning and none of her family outside of the house, She begins crying as she watches her house burn to ashes along with her family she takes a moment and starts to use her satchel to try to hold the water from the lake and pour it on the fire to put it out, after multiple attempts she realizes its no use and goes back to the lake shore falls to her knees in tears shouting "How could this happen to me every pony I love die right in front of me when I am so young, WHY ME?!?" She gathers her belongings and runs for the ever free forest crying and not looking back.
She stops running and faints from exhaustion. When she awakens she finds herself in the middle of the ever free forest wondering how she hasn't been devoured by now by the creatures of the ever free suddenly notices a small brown frog staring at her as if she has something it wants, she holds the stare and all of the sudden it starts talking to her "What do you suppose you are staring at you young filly?" Alarmed by the talking frog she launches backwards landing on her back left leg "Ouch!" "That must have hurt" "It did!" "tell me young filly, What is your name and age?" "I'm Lyra Heartstrings and I am 5 years old" "Oh my miss Lyra aren't you a bit young to be in the Ever Free alone?" "Yeah I guess but I mean I don't really have a choice" "Of course you have a choice! what makes you say you don't? Oh never mind that lets get you-" the frog is cut off by Lyra "I'm hungry, I wonder what there is to eat...." she looks around the area and sees no berries or veggies or anything in sight so she looks over at the frog licking her lips "Oh no no-" by the time he said the second no she had already wrapped him in some leaves and ate him, Of course she felt guilty so she made him a little grave noticed her hoof tracks of hers from when she came to this place and headed in the direction she was heading towards originally. She travels for weeks when finally she come to a house, she looks in the windows and sees a black and white striped pony right as she gets a good look at the pony they turn around she hops down from the window and hides behind a bush as the striped pony opens the door and says "No worry little filly I am not big mean and scary I am just a little silly" that makes Lyra giggle and come out from behind the bush still not sure about this striped pony "Hello I am Zecora the zebra" "Hi my name is Lyra" "please come in Lyra for some key lime pie and tea" "Okay" Lyra smiles wondering what a 'Zebra' is but accepts miss Zecora's offer. weeks go by as Lyra becomes closer with zecora as the weeks go by, She continues to learn amazing spells she never thought would exist. after she has learned all the spells potions and tricks zecora knows zecora decides to send the now 6 year old filly into pony ville to live amongst her own kind she gives the young filly a map and compass and sends her on her way. Lyra travels through the ever free to find the end of it is a bright and color full place she reads a sign saying "Welcome! to PonyVille!" as she walks through the town very carefully on the side of the road and out of no where a red colt with a light blue mane and tail comes up to her and asks "Are you lost or something?" "Uh...yeah I guess" she notices his wings and horn wondering how he could have both "I guess? whats that supposed to mean?" "oh it means I'm new to town..." "I'm Lyra Heartstrings and you are?" "I'm Red Star"
"Red Star,cool name!" "So , what are you doing here?It's weird to see a lost pony around here" "A pony friend of mine sent me here , are there any materials around here to build a hut with, if possible I want to start on my house before night falls." "Well we can go into the forest Lyra but it might take some time to finish the hut so you can borrow a tent for now." "Thanks! Shall we go?" "Sure, follow me."
Lyra and Red venture into the forest in search of materials.Suddenly Lyra spots a figured shadow.
"Who's there?"She shouts "Lyra who are you shouting at?Your gonna wake up the forest if you keep shouting." "But-."
By the time she looks back at the spot where the cloak figure was , its gone.
"Red , I'm guessing you didn't see it then..." "What are you on about?Your probably just seeing things,lets continue searching for materials."
Lyra wonders about the figure but decides to agree with Red, Its probably not worth getting worked up over.
"So what do you want to make your hut out of?" "Erm...I guess wood would be easiest for now." "Okay,lets get some twigs and branches to stack up for now." "Sure."
They venture around collecting the necessary materials.Gatherings wood,branches,twigs and thick leaves. By the time they are done they have enough to start the house so they start walking back to Ponyville before dawn.Soon they arrive at Red's house.
"Wait here, I'll get the tent."Says Red "Okay."
A few minutes later Red comes out with a green tent
"Here, if you want I'll help you put it up." "Okay thanks."
They soon finish putting up the tent,Lyra and Red say their goodbyes and she goes to sleep.
Lyra goes to sleep as the cloaked figure watches her from the shadows, Unknowing that her story was just beginning.
Right as soon as Red starts showing Lyra around Lyra is hit with a young magenta maned orange coated filly and her scooter
"Oh my gosh! I'm so sorry! are you ok?"
a bit dizzy Lyra stands up and shakes it off
"yeah I'm fine"
"Hey Scoots"
"Oh hey Red"
"this is Lyra shes new to town so I'm showing her around"
"Oh that's cool oh and Lyra my name is Scootaloo nice to meet ya"
"nice to meet you too scootaloo"
"well anyways I'll see you later red cya"
"Cya"
the filly bolts off on her scooter and red shows Lyra around ponyville when they bump into a black coated and silver maned colt
"Hey Aero!"
the colt looks at Lyra
"W-Wha?"
The colt bolts off and the two chase after him
"Aero! why are you running?!?!" shouts red
the colt continues running until red flies up and dives and tackles Aero
"Why were you running??"says Lyra out of breath
"I-I know who you are"
"Yeah of course you do Aero she's the new filly in town ponies are talking about"
"No I knew her before that or atleast have seen her before that"
"How could you have seen me before I didn't meet any pony in the ever free"
"I-I was the shadow like figure..."
"Wh-what?!?!"
Lyra jumps up and tackles Aero punching him right then Red pulls her off
"What is wrong with the shadow like figure?!"
"The shadow like pony burnt my family to ashes when he dropped his torch and disappeared, You could have at the least stuck around and try to stop the fire!" Shocked
Red turns to Aero and with a shacking voice he asks Aero
"Aero I thought you said you had to go on some trip through the Ever Free to some hockey pockey town to investigate some magical object said to have some mystical property or something"
Lyra looks at Aero shocked and realizes what the object must've been
"Aero is this what you were after?"
Lyra says while pulling her family's harp out of her satchel. Aero gazes at the harp like it was a chocolate bar and he'd been starving for weeks, he starts moving closer to Lyra as if he were to take it. She swiftly swipes it back into her satchel and glares at Aero, he breaks the gaze and shakes his head.
"Yes. Yes that's what I was there for, I was meant to find it and analyze it to figure out how an object could have such magical properties."
"Then why didn't you take it while you had the chance? You know when no one could've been hurt in the process? You know when every pony was outside enjoying the reunion and eachother's company."
Lyra says angrily. Aero begins to say something but stops himself
"What is it? You owe me atleast some explanation for why you set fire to my family's cabins and then froze every pony except me."
Aero looks at Lyra shocked
"I didn't freeze anypony and on the off chance I for some reason I did I would've unfroze every pony the second I got the harp"
"Okay so if you didn't freeze my entire family then who did? what was there ANOTHER shadowy figure with magic hiding around the camp site?"
"I wouldn't be surprised if there was, the harp was widely known and only around the time of the reunion was the location discovered. Before then every pony who knew about it just assumed it was in some chest buried deep underground"
"Okay fine, so you didn't freeze my entire family, but you still dropped the torch. Why did you drop it anyways? were you not meant to be spotted or something?"
