> My Little Gears: Steampunk is Magic > by SteampunkTrix > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- > Prologue - The Doctor > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- The Tardis teleported once more. I stepped out once more, for about the 7th time, and felt a wave of heat hit my face. "Goodness... This isn't where we're supposed to be going." The Tardis disappeared behind him. "Derpy!" I shouted. I flipped over into the sand. "All I can do is Wait." I sighed. The Heat rushed down onto my back, the Radiation exhausting. A Blue Surface appeared above me. "DERPY!" I felt a shocking pain. The Tardis's bottom smashed into my jaw bone. "Whoops." The Grey Pegasus helped me out from under the Tardis. "We should probably get this fixed..?" Derpy nervously smiled. "Yes. We shall. Or rather, I shall." I stepped through the Tardis, my assistant following me behind sheepishly. "Let's make some muffins first!" Derpy insisted, nagging me constantly. "Fine.." I muttered and headed towards the Tardis Kitchen. Better not have any pears though. MUST not have Pears. Pears are such evil creatures. Derpy got out a see-through mixing bowl. "First Flour..." I read the recipe. Derpy cut open a bag of flour and poured it all into the bowl, fluffing up flour clouds. The Clouds of Flour fluffed the air. I began to have a Coughing Attack. "Derpy-" I coughed. "I'm not cut out for cooking, you know." I coughed once more and headed into the Engine Room. "Time to Fix the Tardis." I nodded. "Derpy! Are those Muffins ready?" I said, my voice muffled by my Sonic Screwdriver. "Yup!" Derpy cheered. I could hear her hoofclops getting closer to the Room's Door. "I'll put them by your door." A clang could be heard on the floor. "They aren't pear muffins are they?" I cowered. "I despise Pears.." I murmured. "Nope, No Pears!" Derpy trotted back and forth. "Thank Goodness." I got up off of the floor and opened the door. "They're Blueberry! And I added Butter." She smiled. "Yes, Thank you Derpy." Before I could pick the tray, Derpy stole a muffin and quickly trotted away. I picked up the tray of muffins. I nibbled on one and sat back on the floor to work. "Let's see, How to get the Tardis working again..." I stuck two wires together and an electric shock jolted my hair. I heard giggling. "Derpy....." I growled. "Your mane looks so funny!" She cried. "More Delays.." I groaned. I smoothed my hair down with my hooves. "Finally, I can get back to work." I let out a sigh of relief. I connected four more wires, and suddenly the power went out. I got up and went to the door, only to hear Derpy call once again. "Doctor!" "I know!" I yelled. I blindly moved around in the dark, out of the room, and put on the Replacement Generator. The Lights flashed back on quickly. "Thanks." Derpy smiled. "Hey Doctor!" Derpy called. "What now Derpy!?" I stuck my head out of a room, my Sonic Screwdriver in my Mouth, clearly looking annoyed.. "Look, This button is glowing!" She shouted. I rolled my eyes Seriously?. "Derpy?" "Huh?" "There's a lot of lights in the Tardis that glow." I noted. "Oh. I know, but look! This one's blinking!" I gasped. "Blinking you say?" I galloped over to the Control Pad. Sure enough, it was blinking green. "Derpy, Go get us a few muffins." I ordered. The Grey Pegasus trotted off towards the Control Room. "The Tardis is working again!" I exclaimed excitedly. Derpy came back with a bag of Muffins "Thank you." I let out a stifled cheer. I raised my hoof, about to press the button. "Doctor?" "Yes?" "Can I push the Button?" Her eyes sparkled. "Fine." I took the bag of muffins. "Three... Two... One!" The Lights went out, and Derpy gave a sick groan. "Derpy!" I shouted and rushed over to her. She was turning green. I grabbed a trash can, and she vomited into it. "Yeah, You need to get used to it." I sighed. "Look!" I pointed to the Windows, showing that we were experiencing a different type of Interstellar Traveling. "Can I have a muffin?" She asked innocently. "Sure." I handed her a muffin and we waited. As she munched on the muffin, she fell asleep. I closed my eyes for a moment and smiled. Derpy should get some sleep. She's tired out, I must assume, from helping me so much. I dozed off. Derpy and I were flying through space, Her strong wings pushing us forward with the force of Inertia. Suddenly, Derpy's grip on my shoulders was gone. I gasped as I saw her flying away. She screamed and reached out her hoof. I swiped for it, but she drew farther away. "Derpy!" I shouted, The Grey Mare falling farther and farther away, until she was out of sight. I jolted awake. "It was just a dream." I let out a sigh of relief. I went to go get a hot cup of tea, and waited as it brewed. "Just a Dream? More of a Nightmare." I corrected myself and took up the cup of tea. I sipped it, and watched Derpy lying on the floor sleeping, with a classic sarcastic smile on her face. I grabbed a blanket and put it over Derpy, as I watched the lights fly by peacefully. Sweet Space. I thought, amazing everytime by Space's Beauty. Derpy yawned "Doctor?" I turned around, she noticed the Blanket, and smiled.
