Fluttershy's Last Lullaby
Rainbow Dash and Fluttershy were walking around town. They were on a play date together to catch up for lost time. Rainbow Dash had went to see go see her friend Spitfire, the commander of the Wonder Bolts. They had became friends when Rainbow Dash had went to try out for the Wonder Bolts a few weeks back, and had just got back from staying at the academy for the weekend. Rainbow Dash had decided to check up on how the academy was doing since she had left.
"Hey Fluttershy, what did you do this weekend while I was away?" Rainbow Dash asked.
"Oh well, Angel and I had a nice long talk about the food I've been making for him. He's getting out of control again so I had to talk to him about how assertive I can be" Fluttershy laughed as she finished telling Rainbow Dash.
"Hah, that little bunny is still giving you problems even after you took that jerks training?" Rainbow Dash asked in a somewhat jokingly manner.
"Oh look, it's Twilight and Applejack. I wonder what they're up to." Fluttershy said while nudging Rainbow Dash's side.
"Hey Twilight and Applejack, what's up?" Rainbow Dash asked trying to sound bold for Fluttershy.
"Hey ya’ll, we were just out to go look for Spike, he's gone missing again over a ridiculous chore Twilight needed him to do. Shucks, I could easily do it if I tried." Applejack replied to Rainbow Dash. The small group joined together in laughter.
"Yeah, I only asked him if he could go get some more quills so I can have him write to Celestia for me, he got mad and stomped out the door." Twilight told Rainbow Dash and Fluttershy.
Rainbow Dash laughed and thought to herself of how baby-like that was of Spike. But didn’t forget he’s still is just a baby dragon.
“So Rainbow Dash, how was the Academy doing since you were there for your training?” Twilight asked. She had a looking of curiosity and excitement.
“It was awesome! Spitfire learned a new trick where you do a spin and a flip and then high tail a right curve!” Rainbow Dash was explaining as if she was talking to two other pegasus ponies.
“haha Rainbow I hate to break it to you but we have no idea what you’re talking about” Twilight replied to Rainbow Dash making her looking like a goof ball.
“Oh yeah, I forgot you guy didn’t have wings. I’m sorry” Rainbow Dash said and laughed, making the other three join in.
Applejack turned to Fluttershy “So Fluttershy, how’ve ya’ll been? We haven’t really all been together in a few days since Rainbow left.”
“Well, I’ve been good. Angel’s been ok though. He’s been giving me a hard time about the food I’ve been making so I had to show him how assertive I can be” Fluttershy said, she tilted her head slightly, closed her eyes and smiled.
“Well I hate to go our separate ways, but I really need to find Spike. So I’ll catch up with you two later ok? See you Rainbow, bye Fluttershy” Twilight said to the two.
“Take care ya’ll, we’ll see you again real soon. We should get together first thing tomorrow.” Applejack said.
Twilight and Applejack turned away and both walked off. Rainbow Dash could still hear the two calling Spike’s name off in the distance. She turned to Fluttershy.
“Fluttershy are you ok?” Rainbow Dash asked, noticing Fluttershy seemed a little weak.
“I’m fine, I’m just a little tired that’s all” Fluttershy replied.
“Oh ok, we can go to your place and relax if you want. No biggie” Rainbow Dash said as she started to hover.
“Ok, sounds great.” Fluttershy replied to Rainbow Dash with a smile.
The two went on to Fluttershy’s. Angel was not happy when Fluttershy had showed up and brought Rainbow Dash, he jumped up on Fluttershy and pulled on her mane.
“Ow Angel, that’s not nice to pull on pony’s manes. It hurts” Fluttershy scolded Angel for his actions.
Rainbow Dash started to giggle as Angel was picking on Fluttershy “Wow Fluttershy you can’t shake off a little bunny?” she asked.
“I can, but I choose not to. I don’t want to hurt the poor thing.” Fluttershy replied to Rainbow Dash and cringed as Angel pulled on her mane again.
“Poor thing?” Rainbow Dash questioned. “Fluttershy, you’re the poor thing here. You need to show him how assertive you can be!” Rainbow Dash held up her hoof for a symbol of power.
Fluttershy giggled at Rainbow Dash. “Ok Angel you need to get down and get ready for dinner.”
“Ugh, how can you take living with such a stubborn bunny Fluttershy?” Rainbow Dash picked on Fluttershy in a jokingly manner.
Fluttershy didn’t pay attention to what Rainbow Dash said, she knew it was a joke but she was a little more worried about making dinner for Angel, Rainbow Dash and herself. She pulled out a few things and got to making dinner.
A few moments later Rainbow Dash walked in and saw Fluttershy making dinner.
"So what'cha makin Fluttershy?" she asked as she made her way to see what Fluttershy was making.
Fluttershy turned to her friend who was now beside her "I'm making a special salad that we can all enjoy. It's called Rainbow Salad"
"Rainbow Salad?" Rainbow Dash asked looking a little confused.
"Mhm, it's a recipe I found in a recipe book at Twilight's" Fluttershy smiled as she finished up the salad.
Fluttershy had just finished adding the cauliflower when Angel hopped in and on to the table. He didn't look happy for he was begging to run out of patients.
Fluttershy turned and looked at Angel "It's almost done Angel, just a few more minutes ok?" She told him.
Rainbow Dash looked at Fluttershy then at Angel. "Man Fluttershy, I really don't see how you put up with such a stubborn bunny."
Fluttershy giggled and looked at Rainbow Dash "Yes, he is stubborn, but I can handle it. He doesn't really hurt me that much." She said while picking up the bowl and putting it in the center of the table.
Angel jumped up and almost dived right in the bowl when Rainbow Dash grabbed him by his tail at the last minute.
"Listen here Angel, I don't want to eat rabbit fur with my salad. I'm on a strick no animal diet if you catch my drift bucko." Rainbow Dash told Angel after she put him down on the table.
Fluttershy grabbed three plates and turned towards the table, placing each plate at a chair. They all sat down and thanked Fluttershy, who also thanked herself. A few plates of salad and Rainbow Dash and the other two were stuffed.
Rainbow dash turned to Fluttershy as she got up and grabbed her plate. "Wow fluttershy, that was delicious" she said while putting plate in the sink.
Fluttershy followed Rainbow Dash and thanked her friend for the compliment.
"Why thank you Rainbow, but it was nothing really" She said sounding a little soft, even for her.
"Boy it sounds like someone's tired" Rainbow Dash teased Fluttershy, causing them both to giggle.
Angel watched the two and grew bored fairly quick and hopped off to head to bed. Fluttershy looked over to ask if he was finnished but noticed he left, and even left his plate there.
Rainbow Dash yawned and looked at the empty plate on the table. "Well, I guess I should get going, we can hang out more tomorrow kay?" She said to Fluttershy who was going to get Angel's plate.
"Otay, shoundsh like bun" Fluttershy said with the plate in her mouth.
She walked over and put it in the sink, then turned to Rainbow Dash. "Sounds good" She said followed by giggles.
"Ok, well I'll see you tomorrow Fluttershy" Rainbow Dashed yawned and headed out the door and went straight home.
The next day, Rainbow Dash went to Fluttershy's house and knocked on the door. Fluttershy didn't answer, which seemed a little strange to Rainbow Dash.
"Fluttershy!?" Rainbow Dash called out and tapped her hoof on the door.
The door opened a little and this surprised Rainbow Dash. She knew Fluttershy wouldn't keep her door open if she was gone.
"Fluttershy!" Rainbow Dash called out again. She knew she shouldn't but she opened the door and slowly went inside.
"Fluttershy are you home? Your door was open so I..." Rainbow Dash stopped and walked into Fluttershy's room.
"She's really not here..." Rainbow Dash said to herself.
She looked around a little more then decided to go check out back. Fluttershy had a pen full of animals she loved and Rainbow Dash thought she could be outside feeding her little animal friends.
As she went around the house, she noticed the animals were standing around in corner and were acting a little strange. She had to see what was going on, so she trotted over towards the pen and saw something with yellow fur laying down on ground.
"Oh there you are Fluttershy, you had me worried for a second there" Rainbow Dash said. She giggled and trotted to towards the gate and went in to meet up with Fluttershy.
"Hey Fluttersh... Fluttershy? Are you... sleeping?" Rainbow Dash looked at Fluttershy confused. She walked up to her and saw Angel was shaking Fluttershy's hoof.
"Hey what's going on?" Rainbow Dash looked at Angel.
He looked back at Rainbow Dash with a worried look on his face and then hopped over to Rainbow Dash, grabbed her hoof, and brought her to Fluttershy.
"What are you doing?" She asked as Angel put her hoof on FLuttershy's head.
"Whoa Fluttershy, you're burning up!" Rainbow Dash picked up fluttershy and brought her inside. She grabbed a bowl of cold water and a rag. She soaked the rag and put it on Fluttershy's head to cool her off.
After a few minutes, Fluttershy had woken up and looked over at Rainbow Dash who was taking a nap on the floor beside her bed.
"Hey... Rainbow Dash...?" Fluttershy softly said Rainbow Dash's name. She remained in bed for a few moments to regain her strength.
Fluttershy sat up and looked down at Rainbow Dash who was kicking in the air and slowly flapping her wings.
"Rainbow Dash" Fluttershy called out, waking up Rainbow Dash.
"What? Wha-What's going on?" Rainbow Dash looked around startled, then looked at Fluttershy.
"Fluttershy, are you ok?" She asked. She remembered not too long ago she brought her inside after finding her passed out in her animal pen.
Fluttershy smiled at Rainbow Dash "I'm fine, why?" She asked.
"I found you in your animal pen and you had a high fever, are you sure you're fine?" Rainbow Dash asked with worry.
"Yes, I'm fine Dash" She smiled her Rainbow Dash and started to get out of bed.
"I was just a little tired from staying up later than usual, thats all" Fluttershy said as she stood up.
Rainbow Dash smiled. "Wanna go hang out with the others?" She asked.
"Sure, that sounds fun" Fluttershy said while returning a smile to Rainbow Dash.
They both walked out and went into town where they found Twilight, Applejack, Rarity, and Pinkie all together by Twilight's library. They were all conversating about what they wanted to do.
"Hey guys!" Rainbow Dash called as her and Fluttershy walked up to the group.
Twilight looked over and smiled. "Hey Rainbow Dash, Fluttershy. How are you two doing?"
Rainbow Dash and Fluttershy looked at Twilight.
"Fine" Rainbow Dash said.
"Good" Fluttershy said.
They both replied over each other which caused everypony to laugh including themselves.
Rarity broke the laughter as she said "I think it would be marvelous if we all went to Diamond Ridge, I hear they have the most marvelous and spectacular gems there."
"We can't, we have to stay in Ponyville" Twilight said shooting down Rarity's idea.
"Well sorry for trying to bring a little beauty into our lifes. Gorgeous gems filling my home would be oh so very beautiful. I would have gems for everything!" Rarity went on about gems, fashion, and beauty.
"Ok, we get it Rarity" Twilight said to her making her stop and puff her lip out trying to look sad.
"I'm sorry, I don't know what got over me" Rarity apologized.
"Hey ya'll, Ah know what we could do!" Applejack smiled with an idea.
Twilight looked at her with question. "Ok, what do you think we could do?"
Applejack smiled. "Let's have a get cook out! I can get Big Macintosh to make us some apple fritters, I can provide the apple cider, and Applebloom can help me set it up at the farm"
Everypony agreed and went their own seperate ways to get ready. Rainbow Dash, however, went with Fluttershy. They didn't bother going back to Fluttershy's place. Instead, they decided to walk around and talk about the past.
Rainbow dash looked at Fluttershy with a smile. "Hey do you remember flight academy?" She asked
"Yeah, it was boring and hard" Fluttershy replied.
"I never got to finish though and I don't plan on going back" She added.
They both giggled as Rainbow Dash looked up at the clear blue sky. She thought of a few things Fluttershy and herself had been through. She didn't really know what to bring up next, so she thought of the easiest thing to ask.
"So, how come you let Angel be so stubborn?" She asked.
Fluttershy stopped for a second to think. "Well, now that I think about it. I don't really let him continue being stubborn, but at the same time I don't really dicipline him either... I don't know what to do really."
Rainbow Dash smiled and continued walked, Fluttershy followed her. They had just came up to Applejack's place. The sight of everypony together made them rush over and join in on the fun.
"Yeehaw!" Applejack yelled out as she was demonstrating her rope techniques to her friends. She even showed them a few she was working on.
"Wow Aj, you sure are good when it comes to ropes" Pinkie said as she bounced up in excitement.
Pinkie Pie looked over to see Rainbow Dash and Fluttershy. "Now it's a party!" She jumped up and greeted the two.
"Howdy ya'll, glad you guys can make it." Applejack said while jumping through a loop she made in her rope.
Applejack finished her little show for her friends. Big Mac was just about to finish making apple fritters when Granny Smith yelled out.
"Who wants some apple cider?" Granny Smith called out.
The whole group shouted "We do!"
Everypony dashed towards the tables that Applejack had set up for her and her friends so they could all enjoy the apple cider and fritters together.
Rainbow Dash took a bite from an apple fritter and guzzled down her apple cider, immediately asking for more. "Can I have more apple cider please? Wow Aj, your family is amazing! I wish I knew how to make apple cider like you guys, its so delicious!"
"Why thank you Rainbow, but ya'll know I can't tell you that. It's a family secret" Applejack said back to Rainbow Dash smiling.
"Aw come on Aj, I won't tell anyone" Rainbow Dash sounded upset but was faking it to get Applejack to tell her.
"Sorry there Rj, but Ah just can't. Ya'll know that" She replied to Rainbow Dash while taking a bite off of her apple fritter.
Everything seemed to be fine until everypony heard a faint cough. They looked around and asked each other who it was. Fluttershy started to blush with a raising fever and tried to hide it from her friends. She didn't want her friends to know she was sick. She didn't want them to get sick either, but she also didn't want to be alone.
Rainbow Dash looked at Fluttershy "Hey, Fluttershy? Did you hear that cough too?"
Fluttershy looked at everypony at the table and then back at Rainbow Dash.
"Fluttershy what's wrong?" Rainbow Dash asked.
Fluttershy couldn't hide it anymore, she was feeling sick. She got up and tried to excuse herself, but only gasped as she fell over.
"Fluttershy!?" The group called out as they all gathered around her and tried to figure out what was wrong.
Fluttershy's eyes closed. The last pony she had seen was Rainbow Dash who looked back at her with shock and worry. The group brought Fluttershy home and had Zecora come over to take a look at her.
Zecora turned and looked at the group. "I see it is not good, for I have done whatever I could. She needs to rest. For her, it may be best."
Pinkie looked at Zecora, then at Fluttershy as she lay in bed fast asleep. Her eyes formed a glassy look as tears were building up in her eyes.
"Is she going to be ok?" Pinkie asked Zecora.
"I don't really know little one..." Zecora spoke without a rhyme. Which made the others worry even more.
A few days passed as Fluttershy was sleeping. Rainbow Dash had stayed by her every day, not bothering to head home.
"I won't leave your side Fluttershy." She thought to herself. She looked at Fluttershy with worry and hope that she would wake up any minute now.
Fluttershy just laid there, forehead still burning. A few hours later, she woke up. Rainbow Dash was fast asleep on the floor beside Fluttershy's bed. It was almost midnight when Fluttershy got up and went into her kitchen and had a small cup of water. She went back into her room and stumbled onto Rainbow Dash, waking her up.
"Fluttershy! Are you ok!?" Rainbow Dash yelled out in worry.
"I'll be fine, I promise" Fluttershy said as she was trying to get up and maintain a smile at the same time.
Rainbow Dash got up and helped up Fluttershy, laying her back down in her bed.
"Fluttershy you need to rest, please. I don't want to see you getting hurt." Rainbow Dash looked at Fluttershy with worry.
"I-I'm fine Rainbow Dash... I'm just tired that's all..." Fluttershy said softly with a smile.
"I know you're tired, you need to sleep Fluttershy. Please." Rainbow Dash was trying to get Fluttershy to continue sleeping.
"No... you don't get it... I'm tired... of..." Fluttershy fell asleep again.
Rainbow Dash looked at her confused as thoughts of what she was trying to say was racing through her head. She didn't want to think of the worst, but couldn't help it. It was her best friend after all. She knew Fluttershy since Flight Academy, even helped her get her cutie mark.
A day or two had passed once more. Rainbow Dash was still by Fluttershy's side as Fluttershy woke up once more.
"Hey sleepy head" Rainbow Dash said softly with a smile.
"Feeling any better?" She added.
Fluttershy looked over at Rainbow Dash and slowly pushed her up to sit up against the pillows. She looked over and was slightly frightened to see all of her friends there.
"Yeep... I only remember Rainbow being here... where did you guys come from?" Fluttershy asked in confusion.
Twilight took a step forward. "We came here because Rainbow Dash had came to all of us and told us you woke up the other night. We all wanted to make sure you were ok. She's the only one of us that stayed by your side Fluttershy. We would have too, but we had some things to keep an eye on. Like with me, I had to keep an eye out for letters from Celestia."
Rainbow Dash stood up and looked at everypony, then at Fluttershy. "They would all come and visit every now and then, but they didn't stay the entire time like I did."
"It's ok Rainbow, I thank you all for helping me and looking after me" Fluttershy said with a soft tone.
Pinkie, who surprisingly didn't say a single word yet, couldn't keep her silence.
"Fluttershy, are you going to be ok? When you're all better, we'll make cupcakes!" Pinkie shouted with joy and excitement.
"Thank you Pinkie, but I won't be out of bed for a while." Fluttershy replied, putting Pinkie in a saddened state.
Applejack walked up to the side of Fluttershy's bed. "Ah sure hope you're gonna be fine Fluttershy, Ah could use yah at the farm real soon. Winona's gonna have puppies!"
Fluttershy smiled at the thought of new little animals to play with. Everypony stopped as there was a knock on Fluttershy's door. It was Big Mac.
"Come in" The group said.
Big Mac walked, following behind him was Applebloom. They walked up and said hi to everypony and then turned to Applejack.
Big Mac caught his breath. "Applejack, we need you at the farm. Winona's gonna have her pups soon and Granny wants you to be there the moment she has them."
"Weehoo!" Applejack said.
"Sorry Fluttershy, but Winona needs me right now." She said.
"It's ok, I wish I was able to go see, but I have to stay here and rest..." Fluttershy said
The group all watched as Applejack, Big Mac, and Applebloom all trotted out the door.
Twilight looked turned to Fluttershy. "We all should be going home actually, it's a little past noon and I got some things I need to do at the library."
Pinkie looked at Fluttershy with a smile. "I'll head home, and start baking those cupcakes I promised! Sorry, I know I said you can bake them with me, but I just can't wait!"
Pinkie stopped and added. "Pinkie Swear you'll make cupcakes with me when you're better?"
Fluttershy giggled as she said "Cross my heart and hope to fly, stick a cupcake in my eye"
Pinkie bounced out the door and straight home. She was super excited and was going to make enough cupcakes for her and all her friends.
Rarity walked up to Fluttershy and stroked her mane. She felt bad for leaving, they all did, but Fluttershy knew they all had things to do.
"Darling I hope you feel better, I have to get home and check up on Sweetiebelle, and finish a few dresses for tomorrow. I've got to send them off to PhotoFinish" Rarity said before turning around and heading out the door.
Fluttershy looked at Rainbow Dash.
"Are you leaving too? I understand if you have to" Fluttershy said softly.
"No, I'm staying here. I'm not gonna miss watching you get out of bed in full health. If you think I'm gonna miss that, you're crazy!" Rainbow Dash said moving her hooves around her head to when she said crazy.
Fluttershy softly coughed and fell back into bed. Rainbow dash sat down next to Fluttershy's bed and put her hoof on the bed.
"Are you ok Fluttershy?" She asked.
Fluttershy looked at Rainbow Dash. "Now that everypony is gone, I can finally tell you the truth..."
Rainbow Dash looked at Fluttershy confused.
"What do you mean "the truth"? What have you been hiding Fluttershy?" Rainbow Dash asked confused and slightly aggrivated. Not sure why Fluttershy would hold something back.
Fluttershy coughed again before she could say anything else. She cleared her throat and continued speaking.
"Dash, I've been sick for a while... A few hours after you left to see SpitFire at the Academy, I fainted and I don't know what's causing my illness... not even Zecora knows..." Fluttershy admitted to Rainbow Dash.
Rainbow Dash had a disbelief look on her face.
"Why didn't you tell me? I would have wrote a letter to Celestia to see if she knew of a cure..." Rainbow Dash said, her eyes started to build a glassy look to them.
"It's fine Dash, I promise... I'll be fine..." Fluttershy tried to reassure Rainbow Dash.
"Dash... remember the race at the Flight Academy?" Fluttershy asked as she looked at Rainbow Dash with a smile.
"Yeah, do you?" She asked in a goofy manner.
"Of course, how could I ever forget that day? You got your cutie mark and you even helped me get mine... If it wasn't for you Dash... I would have never found out I could communicate with animals..." Fluttershy's voice seemed a little weaker.
"I'm still sorry for accidentally knocking you off that cloud though..." Rainbow Dash said in a sad tone.
"It's ok Dash, the animals helped me land safely..." Fluttershy giggled and looked at Rainbow Dash.
"I'm getting tired Dash... um... have you ever heard me sing my lullaby...?" Fluttershy asked with a weeker voice.
Her voice was noticably week now. Rainbow Dash remembered her saying she was getting tired the other night which made her wonder what she really meant.
"Yeah.. I've heard it before. I'll sing it along with you but... what do you mean you're getting tired?" Rainbow Dash said looking at Fluttershy. Her eyes seemed to shine more.
"I'm getting too tired to fight Dash... whatever is making me sick... is winning..." Fluttershy answered Rainbow Dash.
Rainbow Dash's eyes started to build up with tears. She didn't want to think it, but she knew Fluttershy meant she was going to die.
Fluttershy turned to Rainbow Dash. "Can you sing my lullaby with me?"
"Sure" Rainbow Dash answered.
A tear ran down Rainbow Dash's cheek and fell on to Fluttershy's bed.
"Ready?" Fluttershy asked.
They both closed their eyes and began to sing.
"Hush now, quiet now it's time to lay your sleepy head. Hush now, quiet now it's time to go to bed" They both sang together.
Pinkie Pie walked in with a plate up cupcakes and heard soft singing and recognized it to be Fluttershy's lullaby. As they were singing. Rainbow Dash's eyes filled with tears as she was softly singing along with Fluttershy. Pinkie slowly walked towards the room.
Rainbow Dash stopped singing, the tears were streaming off her cheeks and on to the bed. She looked out the window into the night sky as Fluttershy continued singing.
"Hush now, queit now it's time to lay your sleepy head. Hush now, queit now it's time... to go... to... bed..." Fluttershy's voice slipped into a silence.
"Fluttershy? Fluttershy wake up! Please Fluttershy wake up!" Rainbow Dash stood up and started shaking Fluttershy.
Pinkie stood in the doorway and watched as Rainbow Dash tried to shake Fluttershy awake. She dropped the plate of cupcakes and ran over to help Rainbow Dash shake Fluttershy awake, but it was no use.
Pinkie's eyes started to tear up and her hair didn't bother puffing up. It just started to fall straight as tears streamed down her cheeks just like Rainbow dash.
"Fluttershy! You promised you'd make cupcakes with me! You Pinkie Promised!" Pinkie Pie started to cry and fell to the floor beside Fluttershy's bed.
Rainbow Dash wasn't going to give up. She started to cry but kept shaking Fluttershy.
"Please Fluttershy wake up! Please!" Rainbow Dash pleaded Fluttershy to wake up.
She couldn't take it anymore, she flew out the door and into the sky. She flew to the nearest cloud she could find and buried her face in it. The cloud turned into a rain cloud as she kept crying and beating on the cloud in sorrow and frustration.
"Why Fluttershy!? Why did you have to leave me!" Rainbow Dash yelled out, lifting her head.
She loved lover and noticed the Flight Academy. It was after hours so nopony was there. She flew over and looked at the course. She started running the course, bumping into the clouds because of her blurred vision. She was crying too hard to fly, but she didn't stop. The day of the race was replaying in her head. The moment she knocked Fluttershy off the cloud and performing the Sonic Rainboom to beat the ones that were picking on her. How happy she was for Fluttershy when she got her cutie mark.
"I can't do this without you Fluttershy! I need you to come back!" Rainbow Dash said while crashing into another cloud that was near by.
She looked down and saw a yellow figure with some pink in it walking ont he ground. Rainbow Dash sped down to the ground and landed. She looked around and noticed there wasn't anything, or anypony there. She flew back to Fluttershy's and seen Pinkie had left.
"Good... I'm glad Pinkies gone..." Rainbow Dash sat next to Fluttershy's bed.
"I want to finish the song..." She said, holding back her tears.
She began softly singing from the begging. Singing the same verse twice, like they did only moments ago.
"Hush now, queit now it's time to lay your sleepy head" She looked down at Fluttershy, tears streaming down her cheek.
"Hugh now, queit now it's time to go to bed" She let out some of her sorrow before continuing.
She took a deep breath and began once more.
"Hush now, quiet now" She heard a familiar voice, causing her to stop and look at Fluttershy.
Fluttershy still remained still, as if she was only asleep. Rainbow Dash started to cry when she heard the same familiar voice.
"Don't stop now" Said the voice with a slight giggle.
Rainbow Dash looked up and saw Fluttershy on the other side of the bed smiling at her. She started to cry as they both started to sing together, starting the second verse over.
"Hush now, queit now its time to lay your sleepy head. Hush now queit now it's time to go to bed".
Rainbow Dash watched as Fluttershy smiled.
"Thank you Dash, for everything" She said as she faded away.
Rainbow Dash couldn't say anything. She started crying harder and harder till the other ponies arrived. She helped Fluttershy sing her last lullaby.
