A series of poems I wrote for the characters of MLP:FIM. Criticism accepted.
What if the world of Equestria was real? How would you want to hear about the inhabitants? Well, let the world of poetry take you on an adventure through the world of Equestria. This is a series of poems I wrote inspired by the show. Also, I kind of written in a way of like taking others on a tour before immediatly posting the poem. Let me know what I need to work on, because this is my very first fanfic.

In the world of Equestria, there is a day and there is a night just like Earth. The day is ruled by the Goddess of the sun, Princess Celestia, and the night is ruled by the Goddess of the moon, Princess Luna. Together, these royal sisters rule over Equestria with honor, loyalty, and truth. They live and rule from their castle in the city of Canterlot. Yet, these two sibling haven't always lived in peace and harmony.
Of Day and Night One rules during the day as the other rules the night for both are royal sisters who rule all across the land. When both are united they create the power of light as it is against the forces of chaos they forever stand.
However, these two princesses didn’t always live in peace for the younger sister wanted the moon to reign over the sun. When her request was denied, a true nightmare she did release vowing that the night will last for eternity when it is said and done.
Without choice the eldest banished her sister for one thousand years casting her to the moon to spend the rest of her life cold and alone. Heartbroken was the goddess of the sun for she shed many sad tears while the pain of sending her sister far away weighed heavy like a stone.
In time the bond that once was broken would be carefully reformed through the power of harmony a cold lonely heart was kindly warmed.
As make your journey through Canterlot, you will descend upon the town of Ponyville. A friendly atmosphere can be felt as you arrive in this vibrant area of Equestria. Watching over the ponies of Ponyville, and making sure that everyday acitvities run smoothly is Mayor Mare. She is dedicated in serving her fellow ponies by making sure they have homes that are safe to live in, an evironment that is free of polution, and that peace can be spread.
Making your way through Ponyville, you will meet a wide array of ponies that would always have the time to say "hello" and "how are you". With all the faces you will meet, there is a distinguished and renowned group of six mares that you definitely will want to meet. Renowned throughout Equestria, they are known as the Mane Six or The Elements of Harmony. When Equestria is in danger they are the ones to always answer the call, and are never afraid of a challenge. They are the Elements of Honesty, Magic, Laughter, Kindness, Loyalty, and Generosity.
Twilight’s Journey
Studying the art of magic since she was a young filly Twilight Sparkle dedicates herself in being a great unicorn. Once she thought spending time with others like herself was silly and focused on conjuring spells with the power of her horn.
As a loyal student she spent all of her time carefully reading without taking a moment to enjoy the life that existed outside. Time simply passed by while at her lessons she was succeeding until one day her mentor thought of a new lesson needed to be applied.
Princess Celestia asked of Twilight to start some special research of a special bond she could share with others known as friendship. Without hesitation she went out with her trusted assistant on her search for fellow ponies who could become her friends on her life’s trip.
Arriving in Ponyville she found five wonderful and loyal friends who she would form bonds with that will last until the end.
Honest and True
As a hardworking mare that was raised on the farm she thrives on harvesting the finest and freshest of produce. However she specializes in growing delicious apples creating dishes from homemade apple pie to freshly made juice.
The love she has for her family is unconditional and true she knows she can always count on them when times become rough. Always there to lend a discerning ear if you are feeling blue but if you cross her she will show you that can she be very tough.
Her bond she shares with her friends is faithful and strong that the strongest of storms could never tear them apart. She has ability to tell if you are doing something right or wrong and will speak to you with all honesty from her heart.
When you come across a challenge in life she will always have your back for no one will be true to you and be honest with you better than Applejack.
The Most Loyal of Ponies
As she soars above the clouds at the speed of the light her multi-colored mane flows freely among the breeze. Her coat is cyan a shade of blue that is bold and bright and she uses her wings to glide in the sky with great ease.
She has six wonderful friends and a pet tortoise named Tank who she would give a helping hoof to in the time of need. At times during the day she doesn’t mind pulling off a prank in the name of good fun and most of the time she does succeed.
Since she was a filly she had a burning passion to achieve a dream of becoming the greatest flier in all the land of her fellow ponies. Her desire has always been to join the elite Wonder bolts team with the support of true friends that care for her and her loyal bronies.
On the outside she may appear to be oozing with cockiness and brash but when it comes down to it no pony is as loyal as the awesome Rainbow Dash.
Gentle yet Timid
She is a beautiful Pegasus with a heart of pure love for she watches after all creatures both great and small. Her character resembles that of an angel from above as she will always be there to help lift you up if you fall.
A cottage sits atop of a hilltop which she calls home that she shares with all her animals she calls her family. She has a sanctuary outside where they can freely roam yet her heart holds a special place for her precious bunny.
Her heart is strong with unconditional love, but can be fragile because she becomes terribly nervous if she stands center stage. Bring harm to any animal or her friends she will lose her smile and you will fall victim to her wrath for she will be filled with rage.
She is a very caring and loving mare so be careful not to make her cry for she will always treat you kindly as the gentle yet timid Flutter Shy.
A Rare Beauty
A smooth mane of royal purple flows freely like a river down her tender coat of fur as white as that of a pearl. The beauty she possesses as a mare will make you shiver yet she also dedicates herself in being a hard working girl.
She goes in search of rare gems to create elegant dresses for she works as the town’s number one designer of fashion. Dreaming of a wealthy life enjoying the finest of successes and designing cream of the crop gowns for others is her passion.
However, she knows she won’t succeed without her dear friends who are always there to support her through the most stressful times. She shares a bond with her fellow mares that will last until the end and together she knows their friendship will help her in her life’s climb.
Her name is rare for it personifies beauty of the highest quality and how hard you may try you will never tear her away from her family.
Lovably Pink
If you are in search of something sweet to eat she is the pink lovable mare you would want to meet. Working as a passionate baker for Mr. and Mrs. Cake she always gives you more than your tummy can take.
As a filly, she was raised one a desolate dull rock farm waking up early with the sound of a rooster as her alarm. One day she witnessed a rainbow and suddenly became hearty for she discovered the fun activity of having an awesome party.
A heart filled with glee she enjoys sharing a heartwarming laugh and she would be honored to throw a party anytime on your behalf. Sometimes though her mane of soft fluffiness will deflate if she is sad but if you dare break her patented promise she will become very mad.
A pony possessing a bubbly and lovable personality that leaves you with a smile her name is Pinkie Pie, and if you give her a chance she can make life worthwhile.
Among all the ponies of Ponyville exists a creature that is the only one of his species that makes his home with Twilight Sparkle at the Golden Oaks Library. Spike the baby dragon is Twilight Sparkle's loyal assistant, and unlike other dragons of mythical legend he is small in stature. Short and stout, Spike has a big heart for all of the ponies. Rarely, he will suffer from the illness of dragon's greed which will cause him to excessively grow into a monstrous rampaging beast.
His favorite food is different colored gems, and he will eat them in any type of sweet treat or by themselves. Not only is he Twilight's number one assistant, but also little brother or son in a way. When Twilight was a filly she hatched him from a mystical egg as an entrance exam in to the school of gifted unicorns. Given permission from her teacher Princess Celestia, Twilight took Spike under her care and taught him all that a baby should learn in their early years. As Twilight's assistant he helps clean up the library when books are scattered about, cook the meals for Twilight or their friends if they have a picnic, and send friendship reports which Twilight writes to Princess Celestia through the way of a magical green flame.
Spike has developed a strong friendship with not only Twilight, but also the rest of the Mane Six since arriving in Ponyville. A friendship that shall never be broken.
A Noble Creature
Emerald green spikes trace from top of his skull to the base of his tail as his short and stout form is bestowed with the beauty of rich purple scales. He is only a baby dragon whose heart is strong and noble yet can be frail for he shows the gift of friendship toward others unlike dragons of olden tales.
As a noble creature he is also a loyal friend always there in the time of need obeying the obligations as an assistant on his personally written dragon creed. Devoting himself to become a noble dragon he will complete any given deed and no matter how long the task may take he makes sure he always succeed.
His heart beats passionately when he lays his eyes on a certain pearl white mare who he dreams of constantly and who he dreams of one day his life he can share. Yet the reality that he is only but a baby dragon and she is a pony he is very aware but just as long as she acknowledges him it is for her friendship he ultimately cares.
Although he is not a pony, his friends treat him like family just alike knowing that they will never have a friend like the baby dragon Spike.
While you are walking around Ponyville saying hello to all the ponies, watch out or you will might get hit with a trio of fillies coming full speed with one riding a scooter hooked to a wagon with two riding in the back. Once you get your head straight and shake the cobwebs out you will come face to face with the town's notorious group known as The Cutie Mark Crusaders.
Making up this rag tag trio are the sweet southern bell AppleBloom, but mess with her family such as her older sister Applejack she wouldn't mind giving you a good bucking or two. Next is the oh sweet and lovable unicorn filly Sweetie Bell whose beauty is as awe inspiring as her older sister Rarity's. With super charm, she will warm up your heart during the coldest of weather. Finally, finishing out the CMC is the awesome dare devil pegasus Scootaloo. She is always enjoys the rush that comes in blazing through Ponyville on her cherished scooter. Unfortunately, unlike the other two, she doesn't have an older sister to look up to and share life's moments with. However, her heart beams when she is around her idol Rainbow Dash, because she dreams of being taken under her wing and become her big sister.
Together all three of them have made it a mission in life to achieve their cutie marks. They try everything from deep sea diving to animal handling, but they end up with the short end of the stick with each attempt. However, they refuse to give up, because they are determined to not only earn their cutie marks, but find out what their talents are.
A Cutie Mark Quest
As a new day dawns, upon a new journey they embark; three fillies on a quest to hopefully earn their cutie mark. Determined to discover their talents and who they truly are they are willing to travel across the land no matter how far.
Try after try they end up failing, but they never learn to quit for they think of strategies with their determination and whit. At times they go to their loved ones and ask for their advice or at other times listening to their cutie mark stories would suffice.
If you need something repaired you can always call on Applebloom; this country filly is always willing to help and apples she loves to consume. Looking for a sweet tune to listen to, ask Sweetie Bell to lend her voice because she loves to sing and her sweet tone will make you want to rejoice.
Lastly you have Scootaloo who enjoys the thrill of life’s adventures together these three make the Cutie Mark Crusaders in search of an ultimate treasure.
After meeting all of the wonderful residents of Ponyville, the Mane Six, and the Cutie Mark Crusaders you will depart from the town and come across the dark isolated wooded area of Equestria known as the Everfree Forest. Most ponies fear this forest, because it is inhabited by ferocious beasts, creepy critters, and terrifying looking trees.
If you feel you are up to the challenge of venturing into these forbidden woods, be prepared to come face to face with vicious timberwolves. Made from the branches and leaves of trees, these wolf-like creatures will not hesitate to attack you and shred you to pieces. Yet, these dangerous animals can easily be handled by burning them with fire or making them hit a hard surface causing them shatter into splinters. Beware not to stick around, because they have the ability to reform with they own spcial healing magic.
If you survive a timberwolf attack, do not begin to think you are out of the clear just yet. As you venture deeper into the forest, another beast waiting within the shadows of the trees is the manticore. With the head and body of a lion, and the wings of a dragon the manticore appears to be deadly, but deep down it is a gentle creature. Like the bear of mother Earth, a manticore's only request is you don't bother it and it will not bother you. However, if this creature may have a thorn stuck in it's paw, show it kindness by taking it out, and the manticore will shower you with licks of affection.
Should you dare to continue on in the Everfree Forest, you will come across a tree that is also the home of the couldron brewing zebra known as Zecora. Living alone in her hut, Zecora is the local witch doctor when it comes to concoction home made remedies for the other ponies of Ponyville if they fall ill. If you are looking for something to cure a common cold or something to just make you feel warm inside Zecora is the zebra you would want to meet.
A Zebra’s Mystique
Within a deep dark forbidden forest lives a solitary mare of zebra descent who speaks in the language of poetic rhyme. Her hut with other ponies she is always willing to share for she can be a loyal friend in need if given the patience and time.
Once she was feared because she was different on the outside as myths were told about her about being an evil enchantress. No ponies took the time to look at what she was like on the inside and she became more distant from others as time would progress.
Venturing out in search of herbal ingredients for her special brew she uses them to concoct remedies to cure a severe illness or curse. After consuming her homemade medicine you will feel like new as she will be honored to help you for free as your temporary nurse.
Take the time to acquaint with this zebra and witness her mystique for she will always be willing to give an answer to a question you seek.
In the land of Equestria you will come across a vast array of good-hearted, fun-loving, and down to earth ponies that you can always count on in the time of need. Yet, when there is good, there always has to be evil that follows. Although there are plenty of good ponies for you to meet, there are those who have blackened hearts who are hell bent on gaining power.
One such monarch is King Sombra, the once dark ruler of one of Equestria's most esteemed kingdoms simply known as The Crystal Empire. Ruling with an iron hoof he would take over the throne turning all who shimmered with crystal beauty into his obedient slaves. Casting dark crystals all over the empire and taking possession of the powerful crystal heart, King Sombra fed off the suffering of the crystal ponies and his thirst for power was ever growing. Feeling he had total control, he was overthrown by the Goddesses of Equestria Princess Celestia and her young sister Princess Luna. With their united power they was able to banish him and turn him into nothing but shadow.
However, King Sombra hid the crystal heart away from the crystal ponies leaving them in a depressed manner for one thousand years. When he returned one thousand years later, he attempted to once again take control of the throne he once held. He was close in doing so, but he met his match in the royal family of the Crystal Empire, Princess Cadence and Prince Shining Armor. With the help of Twilight Sparkle and her friends, the royal family and the rest of the crystal ponies was able to succumb King Sombra to the power of light forcing him into oblivion for eternity. The Crystal Empire would enjoy the rest of existence in peace and harmony.
Now the royal family of Princess Cadence and Prince Shining Armor almost didn't come to be due to the meddling of another wicked monarch known as Queen Chrysalis. Empress of the changeling army, Chrysalis has the ability to change into the form of any mare she chose. With this power to her disposal she changed into the form of Princess Cadence and locked her away in the deep dark caves under the kingdom of Canterlot. Also, she used the technique of mind control to mesmerize Prince Shining Armor making him fall in love with her. She fed off that love to gain power in order to allow her loyal subjects to reign supreme over Equestria.
True love would not be denied though as Princess Cadence was released by her soon to be sister-in-law Twilight Sparkle. Finally freed, Cadence was able to use her magic of true love to break the spell of Queen Chrysalis over Shining Armor. Once brought back to reality, Shining Armor joined together with Cadence to finally blow Queen Chrysalis away into irrelevancy.
If one day you are staying in Equestria and feel rain pouring down, but it is rain of chocolate coming from clouds made of cotton candy, then you are the victim of the chaotic hijinks of the one and only Discord. A hybrid of many other creatures, he is the master of chaos who enjoys watching the land turned upside down and nothing but confusion happening. With the snap of his fingers he can make cute cuddly animals turn into big ferocious beasts. He has the ability to defy the laws of nature to boggle the mind of all come into his presence.
He was once casted into stone by the Elements of Harmony after he tried to rule Equestria with his reign of chaos. After time, Princess Celestia felt Discord needed to be reformed so she could try to convince him to use his powers for good instead of bad. She left this great task to the bearer of the element of kindness, the shy and timid Fluttershy. The rest of the Mane Six didn't trust Discord at all, but Fluttershy was determined to succeed at his reformation. Giving him the gift of friendship, Fluttershy was able to turn Discord over to the side of good.
A King and Queen’s Chaos
A ruthless monarch hungry for power of a crystal empire he focused on enslaving the innocent of both young and old. Ruling with a blackened heart that seemed to never expire he was finally brought down by those who had hearts of gold.
With the ability to change into the form of another at will she would ruin a royal wedding to try and seize the throne. Ultimate control and power was just within her grasp until two hearts united in true love and she was greatly overthrown.
Chaos seemed to spread across the land in time without end by the mind of a draconic creature that lacked a caring heart. Yet with great patience he earned the trust of a loyal friend who helped reform him so his life could have a fresh start.
Even in a harmonious land of ponies good and evil still fight and the inner battle within the heart between the dark and light.
After a fun-filled, thrilling, and adventurous trek through the wonderful land of Equestria, be sure to make one final stop at Canterlot. As you make your way to Canterlot Castle, be sure to admire the beauty that surrounds you and experience just a taste of the lifestyle which the ponies of Canterlot live. However, thought they may possess great wealthy, they would be honored to have you as a guest in their home.
When you arrive at the castle, inform the guards that will stand watch that you would like to bid farewell to the princesses before you depart from Equestria. Skeptical the guards will be of you, but trusting that your actions are sincere they will allow you passage through the great doors into the towering structure. As you enter into the great hall, you will see carefully crafted stain-glassed murals of Equestria, the Elements of Harmony, and the many provinces.
Then you shall be summoned to the chambers of the Goddess of the Sun Princess Celestia and the Goddess of the Moon Princess Luna. Awaiting to greet you will stand the two royal siblings surrounded by their loyal subjects, the bearers of the Elements of Harmony, the Mane Six along with a certain baby dragon, and the rest of the great ponies you have come in close bonds with while touring in Ponyville.
A celebration of not only your arrive but your departure would all be orchestrated by the lovable pink and hyper party pony herself Pinkie Pie. She would have the entire room filled with streamers, confetti pouring down, games to play, great music, and all with the help of her trusted party cannon. She might be sad to see you leave, but she would leave you with a breathtaking (literally) hug that you can remember forever. Be sure to assure her that you would return someday so her fluffy mane won't deflate, and she would be honored to gift you with a care package filled with a wide assortment of all her favorite sweet treats.
Not only will you leave with treats that are sweet, but maybe the faithful and strong country mare Applejack will give you a bushel of her prized apples from her farm of Sweet Apple Acres. Then you could tell your family and friends that you have tasted some of the best darn tasting apples you have ever tasted, but they do not come from the produce section of a supermarket. It is hard to get Applejack to shed a tear, so she would just tip her brown cowboy hat to you and give you a good firm hoofshake.
With food to take back home there is always the issue of some fashion ware to take with you. Surely, you wouldn't want to travel back to your home town without a fine assortment of clothes. That honor would be more than taken by the fashionista of Ponyville Rarity. She would be proud to create a fabulous suit or dress for you to take with you free of charge. Just be sure to tell your family and friends about her, so if they ever want something elegant or debonair to wear they know Rarity is the one to go to. Also, she might just give you a small bag of precious gems in which she uses in her designs.
With a delicate heart, the one you would see shed more tears than the others is the kind yet timid pegasus Fluttershy. She might speak to you very quietly, but her tenderness will show in a warm and comforting hug in which she will gift you with. If you are careful with her she would give you a sweet nuzzle along your cheek. Always good with animals, if you need a caretaker for your pet if you go on vacation or business trip, she would always be pleased to watch after your pet.
Then next will be the duo of Twilight Sparkle and her number one assistant and best friend Spike the dragon. Twilight would also gift you with a hug, and also probably one of her most treasured books from the Golden Oaks Library for you to read. If you are willing, she might even cast a spell on you that could allow you the ability to walk on the clouds of Equestria next time you visit. Give Spike a little ruffle of his green spikes and tell him that he could have the bag of gems that Rarity gave you if you feel you don't need the gems, because he would love them to eat and knowing that they came from the mare of his dreams.
Princess Celestia and her younger sister Princess Luna will give you a respectful bow as they have been touched by your presence in their land. Together they could give you a pendant or some sort of magical charm that could transport you easily back to your home, and also bring you back to Equestria if you decide to return.
At last, and certainly not least there is the coolest and fastest flier of all Equestria, the one and only Rainbow Dash. Not the one to become sappy, Rainbow will simply give you a hoof bump and tell you that she will catch you on the flip side. Yet she would be more than honored to gift you with the chance tp witness her stunning maneuver known as the Sonic Rainboom.
The rest of the Mane Six and the princesses will guide you onto the balcony of the highest tower of Canterlot Castle to watch Rainbow Dash prepare for her awesome air show. Gaining speed as she smashes through clouds, she will sky rocket straight up into the sky flapping her cyan wings and pose for dramatic effect. Making sure she is high enough from the ground she will shoot down towards Canterlot like a torpedo creating a field of momentum around her. Then when the time is right she will blast herself through the pocket of air surrounding her creating a fisure of a spectacular rainbow to wash over the land of Equestria leaving you in awe.
After preparing to leave, just say one more goodbye to all of those who you have come to meet and form strong friendships with. Visiting the land of Equestria would be an experience you would never forget, and you will believe that there can be harmony spread across the land where you live, just as long as you believe and never give up on your family and friends.
