Dungeons and Dragons

Twilight Sparkle clapped her hooves together in delight as she sat in the small gray room. Soon her friends would be coming and they could play. This had been Twilight's best idea yet.

For years she had been a fan of roleplaying games, ESPECIALLY Dungeons and Dragons. But she always played alone. Which is very hard to do. Today, however, she would not be playing alone. Today she had her friends. 

The first to walk in the room was Fluttershy. "Oh dear. I hope I'm not late, am I?" She said with that adorable little face of hers. 

"Of course not, Fluttershy." Twilight said smiling. "In fact, you're ten minutes early!"

Fluttershy gave a tiny smile and sat down across from Twilight. "So, if you don't mind I was wondering if you could tell me what game we're playing? Unless it's a surprise. Then you can wait." 

Twilight slid a character sheet over to Fluttershy. "Dungeons and Dragons!" Twilight said proudly. 

Fluttershy smiled. "Oh goody! I just love roleplaying games. Can I be a bunny?"

Twilight stared at her. "Seriously? You want to be a bunny?" 

Fluttershy nodded. "Yes. If that's ok with you?"

Twilight sighed. "Whatever you want, Fluttershy."

Just then Rarity and Applejack came walking in laughing loudly. After they had both sat down next to each other Applejack finished her joke. "...and then I said 'Apples? yah'll gots to be kiddin me. Ah BUCK apples." After she finished Rarity burst into laughter and fell over in her chair. 

Before Twilight could welcome them Pinkie Pie burst through the door throwing confetti on all the ponies. After glancing at Fluttershy's character card she squealed. "We get to play DnD!" She screamed happily before doing a backflip into her chair. 

Twilight nodded. "Yes. We're all going to play Dungeons and Dragons." 

A loud sigh sounded from the doorway and she turned to see Rainbow Dash flying in. "Come on, Twilight. You aren't seriously going to make me play your nerd games are you?"

Twilight smiled at the blue pegasus. "Come on Dash. It's fun!" 

Rainbow Dash sighed and sat down in the seat next to Fluttershy. 

"Now," Twilight began. "We can start. First off we need to make a character. So tell me what race you want, what name you want, and what class you want to be." 

Pinkie Pie giggled. "I want to be a thief monkey named Bananas!"

Applejack slammed her hoof on the table. "Ah want ta be a pony warrior named Apple Seed."

Rainbow Dash sighed. "Fine Twilie I'll play your game. Make me a wizard dragon named Squidward."

"Now it's my turn." Rarity said with a smile. "I want to be an alicorn princess named Beauty."

"Rarity, princess isn't a class." Twilight said giggling. 

"But they have class." Rarity sighed. "Fine. Make me a healer."

Twilight nodded. "You're a cleric. Fluttershy?" 

Fluttershy looked around. "Oh. My turn already? Well if it isn't too much trouble I'd like to be a ninja bunny named Cutie."

Twilight nodded. "Ok. I'm going to be the dungeon master so I describe everything that's going on while you girls play."

Pinkie Pie bounced in her seat. "Then what are you waiting for? Let's play!"

Twilight nodded. "Each of you wakes up in six different beds in an unfurnished log cabin. There is one door, no windows, and a man crouched in a corner holding a potted plant. Bananas you go first."

Pinkie Pie giggled. "I run around the room dancing!"

Twilight rolled a die. "You complete your dance successfully. Apple Seed, your turn."

"Ah walk up to te man and ask em wher we are." Applejack said. 

Twilight rolled two dice. "Oh. Sorry Apple Seed, but the man is dead."

Rainbow Dash sighed. "I search his dead body for loot."

The purple unicorn smiled. "You find a key and a bag full of 13 bits."

"I, Beauty, walk up to Cutie and begin to make conversation." Rarity turned to Fluttershy. "How do you do? I'm Beauty. And you are...?"

Fluttershy waited patiently before responding. "I'm Cutie. The bunny. Do you know where we are? This cabin's scary."

"You're right, dear. This place is so ugly it scares even the bravest of... Twilight what am I again?" 

Twilight sighed. "You're an alicorn."

Rarity brightened up. "Oh right. However could I have forgotten. It can scare the bravest of alicorns."

Fluttershy nodded sheepishly and looked down at her character sheet. 

Twilight turned to Pinkie Pie. "You're turn."

Pinkie Pie giggled. "I want to dance again!"

Twilight didn't even roll the dice. "You slip and break your ankle."

Pinkie Pie let out a desperate wail and sunk into her chair. 

Applejack put her hoof around Pinkie's shoulder. "Ah run ovah ta Banana's side ta see if thars anythang ah can dew."

"I use the key to open the door." Rainbow Dash said lazily. 

Twilight nodded. "Correct. How are you so good at this, Squidward?" 

Rainbow Dash shrugs. "No reason."

A loud clock rings and all the ponies look up to see the time. 

"I have to go." Rainbow Dash said standing up. 

Twilight sighed. "Can we play more tomorrow?"

"Sure thang, sugar cube." 

"I wouldn't miss it for the world."

"YES!!!!"

"If that's what you want."

"Fine. We can play again tomorrow." 

Twilight smiled. "Tomorrow it is then."
