> Disharmorny's Wrath Part I > by LGD > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- > Prologue > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- The year is 1004; since the day Luna/Nightmare Moon was banished to the moon and our tale begins: In a village, too small to be on the map of Equestria, the night hung heavy, as rain pelted the ground and a thin fog covered the village like a blanket. The town itself looks like a medival era style village, with grey/black stone and brick houses with straw rooves covering them. There were also broken down and old, deserted carts. Many were rusted, others had broken wheels and axels, the cart themselves were rotting away. Then, out of the darkness and fog came a hooded, mysterious pony, wearing a dark grey hood and cape, while some creature rested on his left shoulder. The hood over his head was so dark, that nopony could see his face, other than the front of his snout and his chin. On the bottom of his chin, there were two long, crooked sperated braids of hairs, as if to say that a large goatee had been cut into two. The figure continued to walk down the deserted, empty, stone street until he came to a stop at the door of a blacksmith's shop. The building looked like a medival style blacksmith's shop, which was made out of old timber wood logs, a hay roof, though no water manged to soak through it and get into the shop itself, and the windows were very dirty and old, almost as if somepony had thrown soot and grim on to them. However, there was wiped circle shapes on different parts of the window, in order to see. And it is with that did the mystery pony manged to see inside, where he saw the blacksmith, who was a middle-aged, grey, earth pony, hard at work. The blacksmith was dressed in what any blacksmith would be in: a brown blacksmith apron, although most of it was covered in soot and ashes from his work. He wore a set of goggles, which sheilded his eyes from the flames and sparks. And around his waist there was a belt with different tools for working; a wooden hammer, nine different steel, hard headed hammers, and iron pliers. He has a black mane, (not from the soot), and his cutie mark was that of a iron hammer beating a anvil. After starring at him for a while, the mystery pony open the door, rather quickley as it seemed to startlie the timid, yet headstrong blacksmith pony, and spoke to him in a voice that sounded very eleganted and sophisticated, yet creepy with slight tone of evil, that it would make even the most hate-filled pony shutter; "Is it finished yet." asked the mystery pony, almosted sounding impatient. "Almost finshed," repiled the blacksmith in a slightly scared tone, in his rather deep, but not very deep, masculen voice. "It takes a little more than three days to make this..." "Bah," said the mystery colt, cutting him off. "You sould consider yourself lucky, I gave you three days and not less!" He said in a slighty louder and angryer tone than before. "Well anyways," continued the blacksmith, as he used the pliers to move the item from the working anvil to the table, " it is done. And I added that special size adjusting dial like you requested but why..." Before the blacksmith could finish, the item flew off the table, slowly towards the mystery pony. The pony was now revealed to be a unicorn, as he was using magic to leveted the item. Although his magic created light around his head, you still could not see his face under that dark hood. When the item was close to the unicorn's neck, the creature sitting on him, what was now to be revealed as a black bat, flew off of the shoulder of his master, and set himself on the edge of a window sill. The bat itself looked old and worn out. His wings had two small holes each, his claws and yellowish teeth were very sharp, there was a tear on his right ear and his eyes were compleatly red and squinty. The unicorn then put the item around his neck and it's shown what it really is. It is a collar like neacklace, with a hole in the center which had a metal outline around it, compleat with that dial, the blacksmith had spoken of earlyer, to adjust the size (with his magic of course). When the collar was on tight, the unicorn used his magic to pull a small, white, circle stone out of his dark cape, turned the dial left, (to make the hole smaller), and put the stone in the center. "Perfect fit." the unicorn said, with a satisfied tone. " Well then, if your happy," started the blacksmith, again sounding scared and imtimidated by the pony who was much more powerful than himself, "that will be twenty bits for the..." "Not just yet." interrupted the unicorn. "I want to see if my little friend here still works." Before the poor blacksmith could say anything, a white blast of magic came out of the stone and struck him. When the white brightness was gone, the unicorn powered down the stone and spoke, once again, in his satisfied tone. "Now I'm happy." he said, then called to his bat; "Come Flip." And with that, the bat called Flip, flew off the window sill and re-perced himself back on his master's shoulder. Before they left, the unicorn turned and spoke to the blacksmith who was standing perfectly and eerily still; " Oh yes, have a nice evening." he spoke, in a voice which sounded like he had accually enjoyed blasting him. As the unicorn closed, or rather slammed the door behind him as he cackled maniacally, it is shown what happened to the blacksmith after he was blasted; he had been turned into a hollow shell, or statue, drain of everthing inside of him.
