> Changes of Magic > by SeraphDarkfire > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- > The Arrival > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- There was a soft whisper of wind as it passed through the leaves of trees. A dark haired young man was lying on the grass under a fairly large apple tree. He was tanned and looked to be pretty lean. He was wearing a green shirt along with a black pair of pants. Oddly enough, he had no shoes on. The rustling of the leaves slowly stirred him awake. His eyes started to openbefore he flinched as a shaft of sunlight struck his face. With a soft annoyed groan, he scooted to the side a little, moving out of the light so he could see properly before laying his head back in disbelief. It looked like he was in a forest of Apple Trees. With a small crack, an apple fell from the tree and struck him on the forehead. "Oww!" he shouted as he rubbed the spot, feeling like he was going to grow a huge bump from that apple that rolled next to him. He growled and picked it up "Geez, Isaac Newton eat your heart out" he then began to laugh, just at the absurdity of the situation. Then he heard a female voice speaking in a happy and loud tone "It came from over here" the girl said said sounding excited. The young man blinked "Why does that voice sound familiar?" he asked himself, mumbling just under his breath. The second female voice that followed only furthered his confusion. "Yer just hearin' things" the second girl said with a southern drawl. It wasn't so thick that you couldn't under stand what she was saying, but thick enough that she sounded cute when she talked "Who'd be out here in the middle of the farm?" "I'm telling you, I heard someone shout ow, and then a lot of laughter, and then I thought to myself: What if someone is throwing a party? How can I not be part of any party? And who can't benefit from my party cannon" the first voice said happily. He stood up "That can't be them, they aren't real" he chuckled nervously. Sure, he had wanted to meet them when he watched them on tv, but he had never thought it would have happened. That would just be silly. His thoughts were confirmed when the two people...er ponies...walked around a tree and stopped, staring at him with wide eyes. Of course, he was sure his face mirrored their expressions. "What in tarnation is that?" the pony on the left asked. She was a blond haired, orange colored pony with a cowboy's hat on, and she looked like she could deal some pain if the muscles in her sides were any indication. Her companion, a pink pony with a darker pink hair color, was jumping up and down in excitement, her eyes wide "I don't know, but wowee look at it! It is a weird creature alright" she had quickly surrounded him and was bouncing up and down, looking him, using her hooves to lift his arms. That was it for him, suddenly, everything went black and just before he lost consciousness, he felt himself hit the ground. When he came to, he didn't know how much time had passed, but he knew enough had passed since he was now laying in a surprisingly soft bed. His forehead was also cold, though he quickly found out the cause was an ice pack that had been placed on his head 'Oh great, I just hit my head, it was all a..dream?' he thought to himself as he looked around, not recognizing the room he was in. "Oh, you are awake" a soft voice came from the stairs as a light yellow pony appeared, her bright pink hair falling in front of her eyes "You are such a strange animal, I am glad you weren't seriously hurt, I had no idea how to help you when Apple Jack and Pinkie brought you in so I just did my best" she walked up next to the bed to examine him. He brought his hand to his head, rubbing it gently 'Apple Jack? Pinkie?' he thought 'If I am right and if this isn't a dream, then she must be' his eyes turned toward the soft eyed female next to the bed "Fluttershy" he whispered. She made a soft eep and hopped back, her wings fluttering "Y-y-you c-can t-talk?" she asked, slipping into the shy pegasus that he had come to know every time the show came on "a-and how...do you know my n-name?" He gave her a small smile and ran a hand through his hair "Ah...sorry to startle you" he said softly "I...I don't know how I know your name" he gave a little chuckle. He didn't know what made him lie to her, but he didn't think it was best if she knew that she was part of a cartoon. "Amnesia?" she asked, all business again. "Selective I think" he answered in the same tone before he grinned and held out his hand to her "I am very sorry, I have forgotten my manners, it is a pleasure to meet you" She looked at his fingers curiously "No hooves, claws, or paws" she said softly as she raised a hoof to his hand. He gently curled his fingers around it and shook once, watching her as she watched his hand. Her cheeks turned red before she smiled "It is nice to meet you too...um Mr..?" she wondered. "Jason" he said smiling "Just call me Jason" "What a weird name" a happy voice came from the foot of the bed, causing the both of them to jump, and look towards the source of the voice, seeing a familiar pink pony. She smiled brightly "Hi Jason, I'm.." "Pinkie Pie" he said automatically, seeing her face flash confusion for a second before she giggled. "Right, that is so cool, how did you know what I was going to say?" she asked curiously. He shook his head "I didn't, I just knew your name" "Then how did you know my name?" she asked, placing her hooves on the edge of the bed, looking excited "Do you have some superfantabulous mind reading ability?!" He laughed "No, I am not completely sure how I know it" he shrugged as he sat up, leaning back against the head board. He rubbed his face "I don't even know how I ended up in that forest" at least that part was true. The last thing he remembered was kicking off his shoes and flopping down onto his couch to watch some tv. It'd been a long day and he was a little tired. Not even ten minutes had passed before he was out. What had happened after that? Was this some sort of elaborate prank? But who would do this to him? He didn't even know anyone who could do something this big. Jason suddenly realized that Pinkie Pie had vanished and looked at Fluttershy "Um..where did Pinkie go?" he asked before the aforementioned pony appeared above him, seeming to be stuck to the ceiling. "So you don't know where you came from or where you are going? That is alright! You can stay here in Ponyville with us until you can get your memory back! Ohmygosh, then we could help you get back to where you belong" she suddenly gave a gasp "I have a party to plan!" then she was gone, zipping out of the house before either he or Fluttershy could say something. He chuckled "Well, she is easily excited isn't she" he said. He'd always imagined what it would be like to meet Pinkie Pie. Now that he had...he wasn't completely sure he could deal with her on a regular basis. She was pretty hyper active. Fluttershy gave him a small smile and nodded "She is, but she..um..means well" she looked a little uncomfortable. Of course, she always looked uncomfortable about something "Um...if you need help..I know a pony who can help, she's really smart" "I'd love to meet her, thank you Fluttershy" he said smiling. He chuckled when he saw her blush a little. "P-please get some rest, I'll get her to come by tomorrow" she said as she headed for the stairs "Call if you need anything" and then she too was gone. He sighed and sunk back against the pillow, thoughts running through his head. He knew where he was. He was in Equestria, Ponyville to be exact. How he got here was a mystery, but he supposed that it could be worse. He could have ended up in a far darker fictional world. Pretty much every creature in this world was nice, aside from a few unmentionables. He rubbed his eyes. A human in the My Little Pony universe. He'd read plenty of stories about this, but this was unreal. How was he supposed to deal with this situation? He flopped around for a couple of seconds and sighed, relaxing again "I hope I can figure this all out" he said softly and closed his eyes, soon drifting off. His last thought was that it'd been a long day, but that was no reason for him to be so tired. At the same time, in another place, two figures were sitting int he dark, staring at a crystal ball that showed Jason sleeping. The first shadowy figure to speak had green eyes and a light female voice "What is that foul looking creature?" she asked examining the boy. The second figure was yellow and red eyes "That, my fine little dear, is called a human and he was brought into this world because you tried to use my magic without waking me first, now I am about as powerful as a Unicorn, and not a well trained one either" "If your magic had done what it was intended to do, this wouldn't be a problem" the woman said "What I want to know, is why it didn't work and instead brought this...human here?" The red eyes rolled "My magic is one of destruction, meant to unravel the balance of magic and recreate it in interesting and comedic ways, you disregarded the recreate it part and so the world had to find a different way to balance everything, hence the human" he chuckled "But I suppose this could be fun to watch, and he could prove to be useful" The woman scoffed and shook her head "You better be right" with a flash of magic, she was gone. "I will be right" he said softly "And once I have my magic returned, you and every little pony in this world will be under my control" > New Life > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- Jason was sitting on a small hill that over looked an empty grassy field. The field stretched on for miles and there was nothing to see in any direction. Several thoughts passed through his head, most along the lines of 'What am I doing here? It bothered him, there were no landmarks other than the hill he was sitting on. There wasn't even a single cloud in the bright blue sky. Another thing that bothered him was that it was very quiet, no wind, not even the rustle of small animals in the grass. So it was all the more startling when he heard footsteps behind him, accompanied by the gentle voice of a woman "I've been to many dreams" she said softly "But this is by far the most interesting" Upon turning around, he found an Alicorn standing over him. She was dark colored, nearly black and had a deep blue mane that rolled as if it was in the breeze. Jason could swear he could see stars within her mane. He could see the black tiara on her head behind her horn and as he stood up, he saw her cutie mark, a crescent moon against a black background. At his full five foot nine height, he found that he was only slightly taller than her without the horn. It made him wonder what the size ration was between him and normal ponies. He assumed that a normal pony would come up to his waist, maybe a little higher. That would put the younger ponies at maybe the height of his knees or thighs. "Ahem" she said, giving a slight cough to catch his attention "I do hope you are done staring at me" He felt his face heat up "Ah..sorry Princess Luna" he said softly "This is all just new to me and I need to think about things to keep my sanity" Jason saw the confusion cross her face "You know my name? How do you know that when I do not know yours?" she stared at him warily "Who are you boy? Where did you come from?" "That..is difficult to explain..mostly because I am not sure how you will react" he didn't know why, but with her, he didn't want to lie. It was something about her "My name is Jason and I am from a place called Earth. I can't tell you how I know your name..at least not right now anyway" he scratched the back of his head "And for how I got here in Equestria, I really don't know" Luna slowly walked around him examining him "I feel as though I've seen a creature like you before..but I cannot place it" she said softly "I will have to speak with my sister about you" she turned and began to walk away "I will return tomorrow night, please try to be on time" And then she was gone, vanishing without a trace. There was no transition when he awoke. One minute he was left standing on the hill, the next his eyes were opening to the sight of six ponies and a small dragon standing around the bed. Slowly sitting up and rubbing the sleep from his eyes "Well...this is an interesting way to wake up" he said chuckling a little. "Oh my" Rarity said softly "He really can talk" Rainbow Dash rolled her eyes "So what? I can talk too and no pony makes a big deal about that" she said earning a glare from Rarity. "It is fascinating, he is a creature we've never seen before and he speaks as we do" the white unicorn said, starting an argument over what was interesting or not. This caused Applejack to get between them, trying to break them up. Jason was able to tune this out, spotting Twilight Sparkle just staring at him curiously "Am I that interesting?" he asked her. She blinked and looked embarrassed "Well, I admit I was skeptical at first when Fluttershy told me about you, but then I did some research and...I found nothing" she shook her head "No two legged creatures fitting your description. Just what are you Mr. Jason?" He smiled "Just Jason please" he said "I am a human, but I can't remember where I am from or how I got here, but for some reason, I know the names of every pony here" he started from the left "Fluttershy, Twilight Sparkle, Pinkie Pie, Applejack, Rarity, Pinkie Pie" he paused, looking back and forth at the two Pinkie Pies "Um.." "Oh sorry!" the first Pinkie Pie giggled as she moved over to the second one and put it on a small trolly "I forgot I left my dummy here" she pushed the trolly against the wall and smiled wide. The raven haired boy chuckled "it is fine" he looked at the last pony "And Rainbow Dash" he turned his eyes to the little purple dragon "And of course, I can't forget Spike" They all looked at him in surprise and awe. He chuckled "It really isn't that impressive, not compared to what I know you six can do" he smiled "I can tell you stuff about yourselves, but I can't do anything that you all can do" He shrugged "I'm not strong, or fast, or super smart, and I certainly can't fly or use magic" "Aw shucks" Applejack said smiling "Everyone's got somethin' special they can do" "Yes" Rarity said "No matter how small it may seem to you, it could be useful later on" Jason blinked, a little surprised at this. Though he supposed that he shouldn't have been, this was Equestria after all. He chuckled "Alright, you have a point" at this time his stomach chose to growl with hunger, causing everyone to laugh. Rainbow Dash grinned "Come on, lets get you downstairs and get you something to eat, you must be starving after all of that sleep, I know I am. We can talk about all of this serious stuff later" He nodded and slipped out of the bed and stood up, stretching a bit, hearing pops come from his body as he loosened up. Then he followed them downstairs, jumping a little when there was a loud "Surprise!" as he entered the living area. He chuckled and rubbed his face. Of course Pinkie Pie would throw a party for him. He set out to mingle and get some of that delicious looking cake. If he was going to be here for a while, he might as well get used to his new life. > Things Get Interesting > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- A few days after the party, Jason was sitting in the center of the library floor, waiting patiently for Twilight to return. She'd said that she wanted to run a few tests on him, mostly to learn how different he was from the other creatures on Equestria. Normally, he would have been wary, but this wasn't some bad horror story and he was sure that Twilight wasn't going to hurt him...at least not intentionally. He wasn't sure what this world's magic would do to him. Now he was worried. He trusted the purple pony, but magic? Not so much. On earth, the idea of magic was just fantasy. He sighed and laid back onto his back "I suppose Friendship is Magic doesn't mean that magic is friendly" he said softly before rolling over and looking towards the door. He wondered briefly if he'd been forgotten before shrugging and standing up, walking over to one of the shelves and picking out a book and flipping through the pages "Wow, detailed" he said chuckling and put the book back, blinking at the hollow sound it made as it hit the back of the shelf. He slowly pulled the books away and set them down on the floor before reaching into the shelf and pressing against the back wall. It popped open with a soft sound. Inside was a small chest "Twlight, you sly girl, hiding something like this in here" he pulled the chest out and set it down on a nearby table. Jason wondered what was in it. It couldn't be something of monetary worth, he'd never seen much put into gaining more money. Everyone had a specific thing they could do and did it better than any other pony. He wondered how much nicer earth would be if everyone had a cutie mark to tell exactly what they could do. Now he was getting distracted by his thoughts again. He shook his head and touched the chest, examining it before touching the clasps on the front. With an easy flip of his thumbs, they popped open. Inside of the chest was something he hadn't expected to see. "The Elements of Harmony" he said softly, staring at the five necklaces that surrounded the single tiara. He gently touched the purple star on the tiara. Then it got a bit painful. The star began to glow and blasted him with magical energy, tossing him back into the air. He froze in mid air, held there by the other five elements as they slowly circled around him. He slowly opened his eyes, wincing a little in pain "Last time I touch super powerful magical artifacts" he said softly before looking around "Well..this isn't turning out to be a good day...not at all" This incident brought back his conversation with Luna the night after the party. He was sitting on the hill again, this time it was night. The beautiful mare was standing next to him "My sister is being secretive about this situation, but she did tell me something interesting. Your being here could have a large effect on magic and magical items" He looked up to her "Why's that?" he asked. It seemed silly that he'd have any effect on anything. "If knew that I would tell you" she said shaking her head "Maybe it has something to do with the fact that you are not a resident of our world?" Jason shrugged "I don't know, but I'll be sure to tell you if anything strange happens to me" He was brought out of his thoughts by a loud shout and turned his head, spotting Twilight and smiling "Oh, hey" he said "I seem to be in a predicament" "I'll say" she said walking forward towards the chest, where the Element of Magic was sitting up in the chest, as if it was watching them. She focused and pointed her horn at it. He saw it began to glow before her horn fired a blast of magic toward the tiara. But before it ever reached the head wear, the magic changed direction, loosing it's straightforward shape and returning to the magic it was made from. The magic flowed towards Jason, seeping into his forehead. It wasn't as painful as it would seem. It was cold, like drinking a glass of ice water after eating a peppermint candy. Fortunately, the second the magic finished passing into him, the elements fell to the floor. Unfortunately, since they were no longer holding him up, he too fell to the floor. He rubbed his lower back, grimacing before looking at Twilight as she walked over to him "Are you alright Jason?" she asked "That was incredible, I've never seen anything happen like that" Jason nodded "Yeah, I am fine, sorry for messing with the Elements, I found the chest and got curious" he slowly stood up. "That's alright, I was actually hiding them from Spike" she said smiling "I don't think he'd eat the gems, but he gets attracted to them if I leave the chest out" she began to focus, her horn glowing. He braced himself for the magic to come at him, but it never did. He wondered why? Maybe it had something to do with the magic the Elements had been creating as they circled around him. When the elements began to float toward the chest, he was a little startled and stumbled a little, his hand landing on Twilight's back. The cold feeling that had been in his head was suddenly in his arm, traveling down through his hand into her. She gasped and her horn began to glow brighter. The Elements vanished, appearing inside of the chest before it closed and vanished, reappearing back in it's place behind the shelf. The shelf's back slid back into place before all of the books he'd moved vanished and appeared in the shelf. Jason let go of her back and stepped away from her "Wow" he said softly. She giggled looking a little dazed "I should be saying that, whatever you did, it felt like I was overflowing with magic" she looked at him and held out her hoof "Do it again, I want to try something" He raised an eyebrow and reached out, touching her hoof with his finger. Then the cold feeling was back, flowing into her, causing her to gasp again. Then she looked at the bookshelves, her horn glowing as all the books in the library lifted from the shelves, spinning around the room before they all returned to their proper places. Running a hand through his black hair, Jason laughed 'It is like I am some sort of..I don't know, magic battery' he thought looking at Twilight. "I don't even feel tired, and that was a large spell" she looked at him "I felt you giving me magic..hmm" she turned and walked in a little circle "I wonder if it is possible for you to remove magic from something as well" she smiled "Lets try it" He watched her warily "Are you sure that it is safe? What if I can drain magic and I take too much from you?" She looked at him, showing off her big eyes "I am sure, I feel amazing after the magic you gave me and I'll tell you to stop if I start feeling tired" He scratched his chin and, against his better judgement, nodded. This time, he reached out to touch her horn, the focal point of her magic. He closed his eyes and focused on pulling the magic into him instead of giving it to her. Slowly, the cold feeling in his arm receded, replaced by a warmth that flowed up his arm and to his head. They stood like this for almost a minute before he opened his eyes and saw her staring back "When are you going to start?" she asked. "I've been doing it from the beginning" he moved away from her and began to walk in a small circle, nearly identical to the way she'd been walking "Maybe it is only a one way thing, from me to you, the way certain magical items only bestow magic, or store it" He walked over to a shelf and pulled out a book on magical artifacts, opening it to a specific page "Magic can be stored for later you and even amplified by the proper artifacts" he snapped the book closed and placed it back onto the shelf "For some reason, I both amplify and store magical energy...maybe the Elements had something to do with it, they could have increased whatever magic that was in me and...and.." he blinked "What was I talking about?" Twilight was watching him, an odd look on her face "You..you seemed to know everything I did on magical artifacts, even acted similar to me" she walked over to him "I think you give magic and borrow knowledge and personality traits?" "Cool, for a moment, I was really smart" he said grinning "It was a strange feeling...something one has to get used to" The purple pony nodded "I wonder if you can copy physical traits as well" there was a knock at the front door before Raibow Dash came in. "Hey you two, what's going on? I saw flashes of light when I was flying by?" the Pegasus asked looking at the two of them. "An experiment...and you are just in time to help us with another" Twilight said smiling at her "We've figured out that Jason has an interesting ability" Rainbow Dash blinked, looking a little nervous "Yeah? What is that?" Twilight chuckled a little "First, let Jason touch you, then we will see if the experiment is a success" against her better judgement Dash nodded and stepped up to Jason. He slowly placed his hand on her head, a little surprised at how...well, feathery her hair felt. He closed his eyes and focused, drawing the warmth through his arm and up his body to his brain. After a minute, he opened his eyes and looked at Dash, grinning "Hey, we should have a race, from here to the Apple farm" "What? Why?" the mare asked him, her wings fluttering at the idea of a challenge. "Well, I think I can beat you, me on foot and you flying...unless you are scared.." he was thinking like her. He knew she couldn't resist. "I'm not scared of anything" she said grinning "Prepare to eat dust" she headed outside with him and Twilight following. Twilight was happy to start them off. Jason didn't know why, but he felt fast. He didn't have wings and couldn't grow them, but all of the energy that Rainbow Dash had, all of her well trained skills were in him. It was a great feeling. He bent down next to Dash in a running position. When the unicorn shouted at them to go, they took off, Dash to the sky and him through Ponyville. He felt fast and it surprised him. He slipped past other ponies on the street, thankful when he was out of Ponyville. A quick glance up showed that Dash was keeping up with him. Of course she was, it was her speed he was using. He could be as fast as her, but never faster. Of course, this little power of his decided to cut out around the time he and Dash reached the farm. He was thankful that he'd slowed down enough and that the ground was soft, especially since the quick stop caused him to start rolling across the ground. He found himself sitting up and feeling a bit dazed as Rainbow Dash landed next to him "Whoa, are you alright?" she asked. Applejack showed up as well "Yeah, that was one heck of a tumble you took" He blinked and slowly stood up, dusting him self off "I feel fine" he chuckled "Guess I am pretty tough" he waved at Twilight as she came running after them. He could already imagine her thoughts. Now that Applejack was here, he guessed that he would have to show off his ability to her as well. And this was how Jason spent the entire day preforming interesting feats for the group. Luckily for him, Pinkie Pie was off doing something else at the time. He didn't want to image what would happen if he borrowed from her. The power of doing what she could do was appealing, but...he was afraid of what was in her head. > Attraction? > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- "I said no Pinkie Pie" Jason said shaking his head, looking at the pink colored pony "Your Pinkie Sense nearly drove me nuts the first time, I really don't want to experience that again" he chuckled nervously. Said pony hopped up and down in front of him "Come on, it was amazing! I've never seen anypony do something like that" she laughed "You were all over the place" Jason shook his head again "Yeah, because I could feel so many bad things, even though they didn't happen" he shivered a bit "It clouded over everything I could feel" he said softly. She blinked and nodded "Alright Jason" she said, giving up after seeing how he was reacting. She didn't feel anything strange from her Pinkie Sense. It must've had something to do with the fact that he wasn't a pony. He wasn't able to fly when he borrowed the skills of Fluttershy and Rainbow Dash. He also couldn't suddenly use magic like Rarity or Twilight. Maybe her Pinkie Sense didn't work well with him because he couldn't handle it? Jason poked her forehead "Hey, what is up?" he asked "You kinda zoned out for a little while" he smiled "Everything alright?" She smiled and laughed "Yep, just fine" she said "I got a little lost in my head is all" she pushed him with her hoof "So what are you going to do now?" He ran his fingers through his hair "I am going to go get some sleep" he said softly and yawned "I've been playing with this ability a little too much" he said "I need to rest" Jason had learned a few things, specifically the fact that he couldn't borrow the abilities of any other ponies other than the Mane Six. Using Twilight's mind, he'd been able to figure out that it was somehow tied to the Elements of Harmony. He'd figured out that while he couldn't absorb magic from something, he could absorb magic used against him. He'd also been able to work with Rarity and create some new clothing for himself. It had been nearly a week since he first found the Elements and he'd been adjusting a little bit more every day. He didn't have a cutie mark and no specific skill set, so he occupied himself by doing odd jobs for ponies around town. It was mostly for fun and no pony seemed to mind the extra help. The Cutie Mark Crusaders really liked him because of the fact that he didn't have a Cutie Mark and the fact that he was pretty much the strangest thing they'd ever seen. He smiled and left Pinkie Pie to her own and headed back to Twilight's to get some much needed sleep. He'd started staying there as it was a more open space. He sighed as he laid down rubbing his face. He wondered if Luna was going to appear in his dreams again. He wanted to see her. Jason then blushed at the thought. Sure, he was attracted to Luna. The fact that she was of another species wasn't much of a problem, you really couldn't help who you were attracted to, you could just hope that they felt the same way. But she was a Princess. How could he ever hope to measure up to that? Not to mention the fact that she might not be interested in another species than her own. He groaned and rolled over, shutting his eyes. Of course the idea that he shouldn't be thinking romantic thoughts about Luna right before he went to sleep didn't cross his mind until the last second, right before he fell asleep. This obviously colored his dream-scape. It was night and the moon was full and in the shape of a heart and cast a beautiful silvery light across the grass land that ranged out from the hill. Mixed in with the grass, there were many pure black Lilies with white insides. Jason shook his head and sighed, amazed at what his mind could come up with in the time he fell asleep. He already knew that Luna was on her way as he only knew he was dreaming when she arrived. He even heard her as she stepped up behind him, the wind blowing around them "Good evening Luna" he said turning his head and looking at her. She smiled and stood next to him "Good evening Jason, it is nice to see you again" she looked around "Interesting choice of scenery" she grinned "Very romantic" He blushed "Luna, I didn't mean to have it look like this, it just happened" he said shaking his head. She chuckled softly "It is quite alright, I've been aware of your feelings for me for a while" she looked at him seriously "Jason...to be honest, I do find you very attractive, both intellectually and physically.." Jason blinked and heard something in her voice "But...?" he asked. She sighed "As quick as usual" she said "But, I don't think my sister would approve of you" she said. "Celestia? Why?" he asked. He couldn't see Celestia being disapproving of any being without due cause. She shook her head, her beautiful mane flowing around her head "I am at a loss as to why" she said "She's been so secretive about everything concerning you or where you are from" she frowned "It is frustrating to deal with as she just keeps her mouth shut every single time I bring the subject up" This was interesting news. He hadn't expected that Celestia would be keeping secrets from anyone. It wasn't like her. At least not like the image of her that he had formed of her. Celestia knew something and he was going to find out "Luna...I'd like to talk to your sister, is there some way I could get in touch with her" he scratched his head "I mean, I suppose I could travel to Canterlot, but I'd hate to show up unannounced, that would be rude" She laughed and gave him a small kiss on the cheek "I can arrange everything for you to travel here" she said "You can announce your arrival through Spike" she grinned "I am sure that will surprise her" He was a little stunned from her kiss, even if it had just been on his cheek "Ah...uh..I suppose that can work" he said "I am sure Spike will help me send a letter" he shook his head and chuckled "You sure know how to fluster a guy Luna" She smirked "I spent a lot of time in the moon, trapped within Nightmare's mind" she said "I had plenty of time to imagine romantic scenarios" she turned starting to walk away "Though only recently have they begun to involve a certain bipedal creature" He blushed before he remembered what had happened to him "Oh Luna, I never asked but why don't I absorb the magic you use to enter my dreams when you use it?" he'd already had a long talk with her about his abilities, though he couldn't copy her personality as the dream version of her wasn't her real body. She smiled at him "I've thought about that actually, I think it is because I am not using the magic on you" she giggled a little "I use a spell on myself that allows me to place my image in a pony's dreams, connecting my mind with theirs" Jason looked thoughtful "That is pretty amazing" he smiled "Well thanks for enlightening me, I guess I'll be seeing you face to face soon" Luna nodded and opened her wings, taking flight "I await your arrival Jason" she said before vanishing. He ran a hand through his hair and frowned "What is Celestia hiding from us?" he wondered. He was sure she had some good reason, but he still didn't want things hidden from him. If Celestia had any information on how he'd gotten to this world, he wanted to know. He sighed and sat down, laying back starting to think up the letter he would write to send to the Princess. He wanted information from her but didn't want to come right out and say it for fear that she would turn him down. It was possible that he could use visiting Luna as an excuse. Jason was sure that Celestia already knew about Luna's visits to his dreams, so it wouldn't come as a surprise that he wanted to visit her and he did, it just wasn't the only reason. He groaned and figured that he would come up with a good plan eventually. He shut his eyes, slowly falling deeper into his dream, into a part where he wasn't aware.
