> Raining Chaos > by Demi Pegasi > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- > Prologue > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- Twilight slowly walks away from me, her head held down in defeat. Her body has now become gray, just like her friends, making me the victor of this game I had so cleverly set up. “Yyyyeeesss! Hahahaha!” I yelled with the perfect melody playing behind me. I had finally defeated the Elements of Harmony. It was simple to manipulate the hearts of the element bearers. The only pony that would be difficult was Twilight Sparkle. Being the protégé of Princess Celestia, I knew she wouldn’t quit without a fight; which is why I got to her friends first and kept her until the end. I teleport myself into the sky to give myself a better vantage point of my creation. It was spectacular! A work of art that no artist could ever live up to. Everything up is down and everything down is up. Left has become right and vice versa; Big Macintosh burying bones everywhere. Isn’t he the cutest pony-dog you've ever seen? Ah yes it was good to be Discord, the draconequus of chaos; and don’t lie readers, you too would like to be me. I am awesome. I slowly regain my composure as I realize that I need to prepare. Indeed, I had defeated the E.o.H, but Celestia herself still remained. Her mind is too strong for me to manipulate. Her sister Luna is of no interest to me. She poses no threat to me since Nightmare Moon was defeated. It was Celestia and Celestia alone that poses the only threat to me now that I control this land. She’s smart and knows how to turn any situation into her favour. If it wasn't for her clever idea of gaining the E.o.H, I would have defeated her the first time. She had been sly about her plan; she pretended to be defeated and while I was laughing to my victory, Celestia, along with her sister, used the elements at my weakest moment. Trapped for over 2000 years in that position was certainly aggravating… but it did give me time to think. Unknowing to Celestia, she didn't trap me completely. My conscious was able to roam free while my body stayed… grounded. This trick of mine didn't emit any power so nopony felt my presence, not even Celestia. Celestia is growing weaker every year since she used the E.o.H on me. She already knows this. However, the elements do have the opposite effects on some Alicorns. Take Luna for example. Her power was growing at an exponential rate after she used the E.o.H. Unfortunately for her, but fortunate for me, her mind couldn't control the power. She became corrupted and used her power for chaos. There was only one way to stop Nightmare Moon, and it involved using the elements once more. Celestia had to banish her own sister to the moon. It was unquestionably priceless to see Celestia’s face when she had to banish her own sister. Even though it was humorous, I had learned that Celestia cannot use the elements anymore for it will drain too much of her power. She had to cut her connection with them. Throughout history, ponies with connections to these elements would appear; but never at the same time. The only moment in time when five ponies with connections to each element came into existence was Twilight’s five friends. Of course if it wasn’t for Twilight’s connection to the sixth element, the other five elements would be powerless for regular ponies. Twilight with her magic abilities wakened the sixth element, something Celestia was unable to do when she got the elements for the first time. The element of magic is a safeguard for the other elements; it takes away the side effects of using the elements. This safeguard even allows regular ponies to activate the powers of the elements. Only Celestia and I know about this. Twilight is the one pony in existence that connects all the E.o.H. together. She is the key for stopping the elements completely. Once she loses her connection, Twilight can never reconnect with it again. Once Twilight loses her faith entirely, the E.o.H. will never be a treat to me again. But… Celestia will intervene with my plan; I know she will. Of course being trap for over two centuries helps you come up with more than one plan. While reminiscing about my past and current events, I’ve made my way to the middle of Ponyville. It is time for my second plan to commence. I snap my fingers and my throne appears before me. As I make my way to it, one by one, seven small blasts occur making a semicircle around me. I seat myself and wait for the smoke to disappear. As the wind blows away the last of the smoke, seven cradles lay before me. I observe each and every cradle. Three fillies and four colts, all seven of them are mine. They were only born just a couple of hours ago; yet they are the size of one year old child. Ah, they grow up so fast, where did all the time go? Of course, it’s because of the power of chaos that they are growing so fast. In one year’s time, they will all be an adult. If my original plan does not work, these seven ponies will bring down Celestia and destroy the elements forever. I must have the element of surprise with this plan. With one final look at my children, I give them a gift. A message to understand who they are and what their mission in life is implanted into their minds. With one last smile I send my children to the corners of Equestria knowing one day I will see them again. It was now time to relax and enjoy the chaos that was happening around me. Long legged rabbits stampeded by while dancing buffaloes travel the opposite direction. “Hahahahahahahaha!” A cotton candy cloud came by and proceeded to make chocolate rain. I summon a glass and filled it up with chocolate milk. “Chaos is a wonderful, wonderful thing!” I say as I lift the glass to my mouth. I was stopped though before I even took a sip. “Not as wonderful as friendship!” I turn quickly and see Twilight Sparkle and her group of friends; looking more colourful than before. Blast! Will they ever stop annoying me? Twilight’s connection should be severed so there should be no worries. “Augh… This again?” I say with disgust heard in my voice. I proceed to drink my chocolate milk only to drink the glass itself. Ah the wonders of chaos, how it ceases to amaze me. It is time to put an end to these little ponies foolishness in opposing me. ~ Blast it! Why wasn’t Twilight’s connection detached from the element of magic? None of them should have been able to use the E.o.H. I’m trapped again in this blasted stone prison! There was only one answer to my question; Celestia! She must have gotten to Twilight somehow before the connection was lost. I’m boiling with anger towards Celestia. She’s foiled my plans not once but twice. Take a deep breath Discord. Releasing your anger in your stone prison will only hurt you more. Besides, I only have to wait one year before I’m released again. The powers from my children will release enough chaos to help me break free from this prison. All I have to do is lay back and observe the magic unfold.
