As night time started to settle in the land of Equestria, all animals were getting ready to go to sleep and the sound of owls were starting to be heard in the trees and Everfree forest. Being a peaceful night the only thing that seemed out of place was three little fillies in the dark and gloomy forest, they were standing in a small area that was covered by trees and bushes shielding them from any danger that could pop up on them. One was a unicorn, the other an earth pony and the last one a Pegasus. They were lost in the forest and didn't know what to do; they were worried if they were going to be stuck there forever. "Maybe our special ability is not exploring... I mean the hay where are we! We should have tried exploring somewhere else! Not this forest" The orange Pegasus cried out to the others, the other two shrugged and tried to think of a way out before it gets too dark for them to see where they were going.
Unfortunately they started to panic and started to argue with each other on whose fault was it on how they got lost, but stopped when they started to hear the distance clicking of hooves and a cart being pulled, a sound of someone humming was heard in a short distance where some tree covered an area. "Hey there's someone here let's see if they will help us!" cried of the earth pony as they all looked at each other, the three fillies ran towards the small clearing that were covered by a cluster of trees and that's where they found a tall figure. With its head down and eyes closed nipping at the grass in front of it, with a cart resting next to it and a small stream running pass it. As the trio carefully inched themselves closer towards, the strange pony-like creature in front of them, they wonder what could it be never have they seen anything like it before. They saw the creature had a head of a horse, a body of a deer but it was covered in iridescent dragon scales it's hooves were of a deer's it has a long mane from the top of it head down to the nape of it neck the colour was a beautiful white with whisks of blue and purple mixed in, its tail was like an ox tail the hair the same colour of the mane. Its legs had hair at the bottom like a shire horse but in a beautiful ocean blue that only covered the back of the leg, on its head a long thin horn was seen placed in the middle of its forehead it curled upward and looked sharp to touch.
The mystery creature's ears twitched and flickered towards the fillies and lifted its head to look up at the awe struck fillies as they could see its eye colour which was a deep purple colour that seem to have glitters of red but also the hidden whiskers that were on its upper mouth, a blue colour to match its mane. It gave a gentle smile to the girls and seems to glide closer to them with each step not trampling any blades of grass. "Are you lost little ones? Do you want help out of this forest?" It asked tilling its head to look at them properly and scanned them, it was then the trio could tell that this creature was a female her voice was gentle and soothing but husky at the same time. She easily towered over them with her size as they had to crane their necks up to look at her even if her head was bending down. But she seemed like a gentle giant, the fillies couldn't speak but nodded their head, as they felt that they were being picked up one by one via the creature's mouth and placed into the cart. "Everypony comfy? I have some snacks in the cart in case you are hungry feel free to eat some it's going to be a long ride I believe. Next stop Ponyville" she spoke as she replaced the hooks on her saddle and gently pulled her cart along.
Main while in Ponyville
"Oh where could Sweetie Belle have gone? She should have been home by now Twilight darling; I’m worried what if something happened to her?" Rarity spoke to the purple unicorn as the two looked for the said filly in town walking side by side, shaking her head Twilight looked at Rarity. "I don't know Rarity but I'm sure she will turn up soon, she and the other cutie mark crusaders most likely too busy thinking of ways to find their cutie mark and forgot the time" she tried to cheer up her friend as they walked through the town, asking ponies as they went by. "Hey guys wait up!" they saw Applejack run towards them, so they halted and waited for their friend. "Hav' ya guys seen Applebloom? It's late and I can't find her anywhere!" the two unicorns shook their heads, at their friend. "Sorry Applejack we haven't seen her" the three ponies sighed and continued on their search for the young fillies.
They paused as they saw Pinkie pie and Rainbow dash talking to each other; they approached their friends and asked if they have seen the two fillies. In return Rainbow asked if they seen Scootaloo unnoticed Pinkie pie and one of her twitches "Oooh twitchy!" she shouted out alerting the other ponies, as the other ponies gathered around her they were worried it was a bad twitch which could endanger the fillies "Pinkie! What is it a good twitch or a bad one?" Pinkie looked at the others the twitch felt different from the other so she didn't know, but she could sense that it was good and it would turn up tomorrow morning. "I don't know what it was but something big is going to happen tomorrow! I know its good" with that she trotted off, the others looked at her and sighed Pinkie's senses are something to trust so the others when to their homes but still worrying about the fillies that had gone missing.
Next morning
The sun was up early in the morning, as all the ponies were just waking up and the sound of hooves could be heard along the road leading to Ponyville. The three young fillies woke up as they remembered what had happened, till later where the silence was unbearable "So miss what are you?" Scootaloo asked bluntly to break the silence but partly to know what was the pony in front of her unfortunately she got punched in the arm by Applebloom."Don't be so rude." she whispered, as the creature let out a chime like laugh and turned around to the fillies as she continued to pull the cart. "No it's ok young one. One that is curious is good, helps with the mind. To answer your question I'm what you ponies may call a Kirin or Qulin... my name is Tranquillitatis but please call me Tranquility." she continued to pull the cart passing the apple family farm and saw the apples around the place, taking in the smell. "Wait! This is where I live, please can you pull into here Miss Tranquility" she nodded and turned the cart in through the gate, the girls got a glance at her cutie mark it looked like an eight on its side with two symbols they didn't knew. "Here we are little one, be careful ok?" she nuzzled Applebloom on the cheek as she put her down and turn to leave. "Wait could you stay I want to explain to my family what happened and I think it’s best if you stayed... Please"
Tranquility thought for a moment, she was not in a real rush to get to her new home in Ponyville so she nodded. "Alright little one I will stay but I don't think I will fit through your door call your family out I will be waiting here for you." she gave her a smile as she sat down, with her cart still attached to her and watched the grass around her started to grow flowers through and the grass turned greener, the other two fillies watched in awe. "Applejack I'm home!" Applebloom shouted through the door and a thunder of hooves was heard and the orange pony, came flying out towards her sister. Closing her eyes thinking that she would take the full impact of Applejack slamming into her, but it never came opening her eyes she saw her sister being held in place by some kind of force just in front of her, looking to her side she saw Tranquility's eyes trained on Applejack glowing slightly and then she turned her head to eat some grass, which caused her sister to trot up to her. "Hey Sis..." she smiled sheepishly; she knew she was in for a yelling but she didn't know what else to say.
"Don't ya hey sis me yung' lady! Where in hay have ya been? I had been lookin' for ya!"Applejack yelled at her sister, worried all night not able to sleep well "I'm sorry, me and the girls went to everfree forest to see if we can get our cutie mark...”Applejack sighed at her sister, trying to stay calm she just hugged her knowing that she was safe."Don't ever do that again! Ya hear me!" Applebloom nodded and pulled back "But miss Tranquility helped us! She pulled us all the way through the forest all night and day!" she point to the Kirin that was staring at a butterfly that landed on her muzzle, giggling she shooed the butterfly before standing up to greet Applejack, pulling her cart along. "Hello, I'm guessing your Applebloom's sister please don't be too harsh on her. She's young and fillies at that age are always curious on how they can get their cutie mark." Applejack gapped at the pony in front of her as she stared up, she couldn't think of what to say "Err ok, but thanks for returning her home I don't know what I would of done if ya didn't, please have some apples for ya trouble." she nodded towards the field, smiling Tranquility walked up to some trees and gently tapped her horn on them and a few apples fell down "I will take these thank you very much." she blessed the trees without the apple family knowing, she made sure that the trees she touched were going to bare the best apples they can.
Tranquility placed the apples away on her cart, smiling she bowed to the sisters and started to pull towards town to drop off the other two girls to where they want."Applebloom get ready for school ya goin' to be late!" pausing Tranquility turned round and looked at Applejack "I can take her to school if you want, I'm heading towards town anyway to drop of these two little ones." she smiled and Applebloom looked at her sister silently begging her to let her get taken. "Fine but I'm comin' with ya I need to talk to Twilight anyways" Tranquility smiled and beckoned the two sister to hop on her cart and she pulled at a faster pace towards town not wanting the fillies to be late for school.
Nearly in Ponyville
"So Miss Tranquility..." Tranquility smiled and looked at the pony and fillies in her cart, "Yes dear? You can call me Quil or Ran my name is a bit long to keep saying." she giggled, the other smiled at the pony in front of them. "Well I was wondering what your cutie mark is? And the grounds you walk every time you step off grass and flowers grow in place also when you walk on grass you don't trample it? And why are you so big?" the long list of questions came out of Scootaloo mouth but she quickly went quiet again, being embarrassed. Tranquility smiled at them and pulled through the gates of Ponyville. "My... you seem to notice a lot young one. To answer you, my cutie mark is the infinity symbol in the left circle is the yin symbol and in the right is the yang symbol, the infinity represent that I have what seems limitless abilities to use and the yin and yang is about harmony that everyone contains both yin and yang. Whenever there is less of one there is more of the other. We need to strive to keep them both in balance, my infinity sign runs in the family all the female Kirin have it. As for the grass it’s a skill my species have, we do not kill or damage any living thing when we walk, we give them nourishment causing them to grow healthy it’s a skill we can turn off if we wish to most of us turn the growing one off. As for size my kind grow to about this size some are bigger some are smaller. The males tend to be a big bigger than us females. But we can change our size if we really need to... but from what I know I am one of the largest females. “She pulled to a stop to the school as the fillies went off to class, she gave them each a nuzzle against their cheek before going to the library as Applejack requested.
As Ran entered the library as she left her cart outside, Applejack said she had to grab a friend and she will be back soon. The tree house she walked in while ducking her head as she went through the door and took a closer look at the books, then walked about the place and taking in each smell that the place had to offer. Till she spotted a baby purple dragon walking about with books in its hands, she walked up to it and sniffed it. "Whoa! Who are you?" Spike shouted being startled by the giant behind him, causing him to fall over getting the attention of Twilight Sparkle." So that what you western dragons look and smell like, you are sure different from the ones I know back home. “She sat down and studied Spike in front of her then pulled out a book from the shelves and started to read it the book was called 'How to grow your own gems and metal' "Spike what's going on you were shouting... Who is this?" Twilight shouted as she saw Ran, Applejack and Rarity came in near the same time talking to each other. "Applejack my darling tells me who this Tranquility pony is? You say she saved her, I must thank her for it and lecture Belle on where she can and can't go!" "Hold ya horses she right there alright" Rarity paused in front of what she thought was the most beautiful pony she ever seen the scales, the mane and tail was so well kept, not to mention the colours. "Spike writes to the Princess! A strange type of pony has turned up in Ponyville tell her that we as in the elements of harmony are keeping the pony guarded till you are here please be here as soon as possible!" Spike quickly wrote and flew flames on it sending it away, as Ran watch the smoke go out the window. "Oh my I haven't done anything why would I need an audience with a princess?" Ran wondered out loud tilting her head to the side, as she stopped read for that moment. As Applejack sighed "Twilight your over reacted again Tranquility is not dangerous!" Twilight blushed and said she was sorry to Ran just as Spike coughed up a reply. Shaking her head in forgiveness "The princess says she be here in a few minutes Twilight." she stayed seated waiting for the Princess to come....
3rd pov Tranquility sat there in the middle of the library as she watched the three ponies argue with each other. She wondered what was happening, all she could tell was either one a princess is coming or that she was in trouble. Shaking her head she couldn't understand why for either reason, she did her paperwork correctly, paid for the land she brought and anything else that was important. Having an audience with a princess was not on that check list, but could she do? So she just sat there reading a book. "Look Twi, I know that you worry but asking the princess to come when it's not needed is a bit too much even for you dare" Rarity spoke to the purple unicorn, Applejack nodded in agreement but what was done is done all they could do was wait and see what will happen next.
"I'm really sorry Tranquility" Twilight spoke to the towering Kirin, Tranq just shook her head at her and smiled "Nothing to worry hun you were worried a bit extreme to do but you had your best thoughts. But I don't see anything wrong with me moving here, maybe because I come from a foreign land." They sat in down just before there was some knocking at the door, as Spike opened it they saw the princess. "Twilight my student what was so urgent that I needed to come here?" The princess looked at her pupil and then spotted the large figure near Twilight, and took a startled step back then looked at Twilight for some reasoning "I'm sorry Princess, I was a bit careless and send the letter when I didn't hear Tranquility's story" Twilight bowed her head in embarrassment.
Tranquility's pov I sat there as I watched the younger unicorn talk to the Alicorn, I seem to have of startled her when she saw me. I guess my kind is rarely seen around here last time I heard someone moved out was over 100 years ago, standing up I seem to be taller then the Princess, I could guess this as even sitting down. "Hello Princess, it's a honour to meet you" I dipped my head down as I bowed to her, she seem to come out of shock and greeted me back. " Pleasure to meet you Tranquility, I haven't seen your kind here before can you tell me what you are" I smiled and nodded, but before I could of opened my mouth a cyan blue blur crashes through the roof of the library into a pile of books. Blinking I uses my magic to pull the mess out from the books to reveal a pegasus with a rainbow mane and tail, "Rainbow dash! What are you doing crashing through my roof again" I lightly placed the mare down next to Twilight and watched as the scene unfolded in front of us. "Sorry Twilight I was trying a new trick to impress the Wonderbolts" She said rubbing the back of her head as she smiled.
"As I was saying Princess I am a Quilin or Kirin, I come from Asia which is half way across the world I am here since I wanted to see the world and now I'm settling in Ponyville. I have my deeds for my shop and house. Which I should be set up by now. By the way it's strange to see an alicorn as a leader though but forget it" The ponies looked at me strangely and I sighed "You see back home no animal ruled over another race, like you rule over the three main races here, back home each species had an alpha, which was the leader and that's it we live in peace with other species, there is a system ranking with us as well the stronger species you are the more respect you get. Dragons are the highest in our place more importantly the lunar and solar dragon, who rules over the sun and moon" Before I could continue, Rainbow spoke up.
"Whooa! wait the Princesses are the one who raise the sun and moon how can a dragon raise them?" she questioned me, I smiled at her, as the other ponies looked at her, with a sigh “Well living on the other side of the world the moon raises then when the sun raises here, so the lunar and solar dragon does that job in making the sun and moon raise and fall. She is very old more then two thousand years old.” I explained to the mare, Spike seem to be excited that I was talking about a dragon “ Oooh is the dragon like me? Does she look like me?” Shaking my head, the other urged me to go on. “The lunar and solar dragon is completely different from your kind, the ones back home are bigger even as a child... a child would be the size of your Princess, a lot longer they walk on their four claws and don't have wings but can fly using their powers. The queen dragon is split into two colours all the way down to centre one half midnight blue the other gold. She is huge as big as a mountain she is said that she can fit her whole clan on her back and still fly with ease”
They all looked at me in awe as I told them about the queen, I tilted my head in question and hoped that they would answer soon. “So are you saying that there's a dragon that big!? And we have not heard of it?” Shouted Rainbow, I pressed my ears against my head and nodded. “The queen doesn't see nor does any of the species in Asia see why we should tell others about us, ponies and animals back in Asia are not bothered by politics and anything else, as long as your not a threat to us you won't get wrath of the clan you insulted or anyone that they are allied to.”
3rd pov As the others thought this over the Princess walked up to Tranquility and welcomed her to the country that she would be living in. Tranquility thanked her and stood up to walk outside “I have to get going to set up my house and shop you can come to if you want” She smiled at the group as she trotted to her wagon and strapped it on and walked off pulling it with her “I think I might join her what about you guys?” Twilight said interested in the new pony here, the others repiled that they had to do things like, to sell apples or to manage the country. So Twilight ran after the fast Kirin and talked to her by her side.
“So Tranquility, why did you move here if I can ask?” Tranquility smiled at the unicorn next to her and spoke out “I move here since I want something different I travelled about the world so much and met so many ponies and creatures over a thousand years, I think it's time to settle down” she smiled at Twilight as she stopped in front of an empty slot near where Rarity's shop was. “There's nothing here” Twilight questioned, Tranquility didn't answer and pulled out a small figure of a house and placed it in the middle of the plot, then she closed her eyes and her horn glowed brightly and the house started to grow. Twilight gapped at the magic that she felt and watched the house and shop grow to a stop. “Welcome to my home, I took this from back home this is my shop “
She moved her horn to the sign above one of the doors it had a symbol of a hammer and a screwdriver crossing each other. The other door didn't have a sign over it but a large window, it seem to be two stories. “Come in I will make some tea for us” Tranquility said as she pushed open the door, the shop seem to be filled tinkles from around the place, watches, machines, toys anything you can name. “Wow what is this place?” Twilight looked at some old books that were in some cases “I repair and make items that anypony brings to me. There are also creations that I made myself, through the other door that you saw is a seasonal shop it will sell different items like clothes, tinkles and other bits in the theme I choose, it could last a couple of weeks till a month.” She nodded to the other side of the wall with a door.
She got out an old pot and placed it on the stove behind her and place some tea leaves in it as it boiled, they talked with each other exchanging stories as they waited for the tea to boil. Suddenly the door burst open and a pink pony bounced in “Oh Twilight! I found you, found you found you the feeling I had has finally gone! Wait who is this? A new pony or arrive since I don't know what you are in town we need to celebrate! Pattarry!” she was about to bounce out when she was frozen in mid bounce “As much as I am delighted that you are throwing me a party please don't throw one in my home as you can see it's full of important items” Tranquility stared at the pony as she brought her closer “understood?” she tilted her head and the pony nodded quickly as she was let go “Well Ok come to the bakery then we have plenty room and you get to meet all of the ponies in town” With that she bounced off, as Tranquility poured the tea for her and Twilight. “Here you go please enjoy” as Tranquility sipped her tea and relaxed “That was Pinky pie I can take you to the bakery later, but for now I need to go and check on Spike” She waved her goodbye and Tranquility looked around her shop “This place need cleaning it been a long time since I opened”
That evening The shop was spotless as Tranquility dusted the last part with her dusters that was in her mouth and tail, she smiled and moved outside to shake of any dust that was on her and she watched the dust fly off into the night sky. “What a beautiful night” she looked up at the star filled sky and then spotted a pegasus flying in an odd pattern and seem to have fallen down, she quickly stood up and ran towards the falling pony using her magic to hopefully save her. As the grey pegasus was about to crush into a tree she was stopped. “ Are you alright miss?” Tranquility asked as she settled her on the floor. “Thank you I just don't know what when wrong my wings just stiffen up and didn't want to move anymore” Tranquility looked at the pegasus's wing and saw that it was stuck stiff with gum and bits of muffin. “Well I see your problem your wing is stuck full of food you need to clean it before you start flying again” The Kirin nudged the grey pegasus with her snout.
She smiled at her “I can fix that for you, just wait a second” Tranquility focused her power to her breath and she slowly breathed on the feathers freezing them, then shattering them with the gum and crumbs she smiled as her wings were clean “Hope that is better, now don't get them messed up again” she smiled as she trotted away, without knowing that the pegasus was following her. As she arrived at home she saw Twilight standing in front of her door, waiting for her. “There you are Tranquility, and it seems like you have Derpy hooves with you” Tranquility looked back and saw the grey pegasus called Derpy bump into her “We best get going to the party lets get going” Twilight trotted ahead of the two with spike on her, Tranquility shrugged and picked up Derpy and followed her to the house made out of cake and sweets.
The place was filled with cake and sweets as well as all the town ponies they all were happy talking to each other and enjoying themselves. Just as Tranquility entered everyone stopped doing what they was doing. And stared at Kirin. “She is so big!” “who Is she?” “Wow look at the mane on that pony” “why is Derpy being carried by her” the talk and gossip when on as Tranquility walked passed everypony towards Pinky pie,placing Derpy down and smiled at her. “Thank you for the party Pinky pie this is very enjoyable for me” she petted the pink pony and when to eat some cake and talk to some other ponies. She stopped and saw that the three little fillies that she looked after before was being bugged by two other fillies. “Hey blank flanks what are you guys doing here, shouldn't you blank flanks be somewhere else?” The Cutie Mark Crusaders tried to ignore the bullies.
But it was really hard to, when they were in their face. “What are you doing bothering and calling them names young fillies” Tranquility questioned Diamond Tiara and Sliver Spoon, they just huffed at her “And who just are you and what are you?” Tiara snouted at her, Tranquility looked at the two fillies and frowned at them “I think the party that Pinkie threw it for me, to welcome me you don't seem to that welcoming” She snorted at her and then suddenly heard someone behind her “Tiara is this weird creature bothering you?”
Tranquility's pov I turned around to see a unicorn that had a diamond necklace, with a blue mane. “What do you think you are doing to my Tiara? Whatever you are” she stomped her hoof, I simply just looked at her but she seem to pushed herself in front of her “Well answer me! I am the wife of Filthy Rich, Magic flower!” She shouted at me, I backed up and hid the three fillies behind me just in case that something would happen, but the name Filthy Rich sounds familiar. “I don't care who you are I was told by Pinkie Pie that she wanted me to be the guest of honour, since this party is meant to be for me” the unicorn snorted and started to use her magic against the punch bowl and floated it up “Like I care! I bet your a changeling! I am going to show ponies the truth” A changeling? Those ponies that feed of love I know there was a problem with them a few weeks ago but really? Then suddenly I felt my scales and mane get soaked and sticky from the berry punch that was thrown at me.
I was completely displeased with the treatment of this unicorn and her cronies as I stood there soaking wet, the music has stopped and every pony was looking this way “Magic flower! How dare you treat a guest like that!” I looked a head and saw Twilight staring a hole into the unicorn, the pony in question froze “B-but she was g-going to hu-hurt Tiara” she whined. I reared back I hurt a child? Never! I would never do that I mean how can I do that to any pony, unless I have to defeat myself but never the less. Then Applebloom popped out from behind me “No she wasn't she was telling her off from being mean to use because we don't have our cutie marks yet!” I nudged her back behind me “Shh little one” I whispered to her as she backed up into the others. Magic flower backed away and ran out the bakery with her cronies and daughter following her. “I'm so sorry Tranquility” I simply shook my head though doing that made some punch fly about hitting some ponies, I was about to speak when the door open to reveal the princess. “Princess!” every pony bowed to her as I stood there, not to be disrespect but I was never told I need to bow to her every time she entered the same room, it would be tiring to me and a bit boring to her. “I thought this was a party? Why is there no music playing and why it Tranquility all wet” I smiled and walked up to her “Nothing much Princess and please call me Ran calling Tranquility is too long all of you too please call me Ran” I called out to everyone.
She smiled back at me and Twilight trotted next to me and started talking to the Princess, I simply stepped back and trotted outside to A get some fresh air and B to clean myself up. “You okay Ran?” I turned around and saw Derpy flying towards me, I nodded my head “I just need to clean myself up down want to be sticky all night or smell like berry punch do I?” I smiled at her, she shook her head “Nah you don't not around berry she might actually try and eat you since you smell like that” I looked at her strangely as I closed my eyes and I felt my horn glow and I moved a cloud above me, willing my magic into it I felt a calm rain shower hit me as it got rid of any punch that I had. After sitting there for about 5 minutes I stopped the cloud and let it drift out while I shook my my mane and tail dry but doing this makes my hair go all puffy. “Whoa Ran you look like a puffed up lion” I looked up and saw Rainbow dash laughing, smiling I felt like scaring her, I winked at Derpy for her to be quite and I floated myself up behind Rainbow.
“Hey where she go? Did she go back inside?” she looked on the ground for me, floating closer “Boo can you guess who” I spoke in a deep creepy voice and I watch Rainbow crash into the ground in fright “Hahahaha! That was classic, always watch out for Kirins Rainbow we love playing tricks on others” I looked at her upside down as I floated in the air. The other ponies started to look at what was all the noise and saw me floating lazily above the ground unfortunately, with my puffed out mane and my eyes glowed when the light hit me caused some of the ponies to scream “GHOST PONY” They scattered themselves and ran for it as I floated myself onto the ground “What was that about?” my eyes dimmed down from the glow and Rarity seem to of took it as her job to fix my man and tail. “You seem to of scared some of the ponies with you floating and that your eyes glowed” Rarity spoke to me I looked at her and sighed, and stopped that not all ponies ran “Well at less not every pony ran away” I bend down and looked at a pegasus the was a yellow pastel colour and with a pink mane and tail, she yiped in suprise and hid behind the Princess and the others “That's Fluttershy, she's just shy don't mind her” I nodded at them and walked back inside the bakery “Well what you guys waiting for we have a party to finish”
Ran's pov I woke up from where I found myself laying on the floor, slowly lifting my head up I looked around and blinked a couple of times, to help me see where I was. As I smacked my dry lips I thought 'How did my lips get this dry?' I shifted myself to stand up, but I stopped when I heard somepony grumble next to me looking down I saw Rarity laying her head on my tail, which was curled up next to me. Blushing lightly I used my magic to gently shift her to a pillow that was near the table full of half eaten sweets and a purple pony in the punch bowl, snoring away in it... shaking my head I figured that I was still in the bakery and a few ponies was still here. So why can't I remember much on what happened? Maybe I had too much to drank last nigh, sighing I stood up and sluggish trotted out the door avoiding any pony that I might step on and leaving a note for the Cakes and some bits to help pay for any damages that could of happened.
As I walked outside I saw that it was early morning the sun hardly being up more or less a couple of hours ago, so to help me wake up I kicked back and reared on my hind legs then galloped off to my shop for a quick exercise and I skidded into a stop in front of my home. Panting evenly I walked into my shop and trotted upstairs to take a quick shower to help me wake up more and make my head clear up. As I trotted down the stairs sighing in relief with my mane and tail wet, I walked up to the door that linked to my seasonal shop, with a tray full of my breakfast and shut myself inside there.
3rd pov As the ponies got busy with their daily business setting up their stores or going to work, the few that walked passed Ran's shop wondered what the shop was and the noises that was happening to the other side. They heard banging and clanking but also a few painful ouches from the shop owner, but they couldn't see anything inside since the large window was covered by a large blind. Causing the ponies to wonder what was going on with the new resident in ponyville.
30 minutes later.
Twilight walked pass Ran's shop, after helping the Cakes clean up from the party and looked the small space of the window to try and spot her new friend. Failing to see her, Twilight knocked on the door instead. She waited for a couple of minutes when she heard some crashes and colourful words, the door next to the window opened. “Oh hello Twilight, how can I help you. I mean my shop is not opened yet but I am happy to help” Ran smiled at her peeping out from the door, she had a couple of scratches on her but Twilight could see that they were already healing.
“I just wanted to pop by to see how is your first day” Twilight smiled at her. Ran gestured her to come in, as she walked in she saw the previously bare was full of beautiful objects, clothes, books, toys and many other items. The interior of the room was decorated with a beautiful evening. The walls was painted with a background of hills and silhouettes of trees surrounding, but on one of the walls Twilight could see a silhouette of a pony looking through a telescope at a shooting star. “Oh my this place is so beautiful and wonderful, look at all the books!” Twilight cried out and started to look at all the books, but started to see a theme.
“Thank you Twilight, but you haven't seen the outside window, nor the ceiling” Smiled Ran and her horn glowed then shoot magic into the ceiling with that they ceiling started to glow and faded out to star-filled sky that moved! Twilight stared at the ceiling looking at all the different constellations, that she could see. “Let's get some of your friends over I want to know what they think of the window display I created. Ran smiled and nudged Twilight out the door “Come on let's go” They trotted out. They knocked on Rarity's door, to find the white unicorn placing some of her clothes on a rack “Hey Rarity” Twilight trotted in the fashion pony's home as Ran ducked her head down to enter, not before cleaning her hooves on the mat outside. “Oh Hello Twilight, Ran how can I help you two I just finished checking my orders and I need to buy some new material” Rarity turned around to speak to her friends. She saw Twilight standing in front of her while, Ran was nuzzling a surprisingly calm Opal. “We were just wondering if you want to come and see Ran's grand opening of her shop, she says she finished organising it” Twilight smiled at her. Ran picked up her head and looked at Rarity smiling “If you are looking for material I sell some in my shop you could always look at some if you want to” with that settled they trotted off looking for the others.
Next they found Rainbow, sleeping in a tree dreaming that she was part of the wonderbolts and it seems like she was in a deeper sleep then usual since none of the shouts from her friends woke her up. “I think I can wake her up girls just stand back a bit I don't want anything hitting you if something falls from the tree” Ran warned the girls, they didn't have enough time to question her when she slammed her back legs into the tree, shaking it wildly and the ground causing Rainbow and the two others to fall to the ground with shock. “Oops I put in too much strength into that, really need to work on that” she rubbed her hoof behind her head. “What the buck was that! Was that an earthquake!” Rainbow picked herself from the ground but was lifted off the floor by Ran “Sorry about that Rainbow but you didn't wake up when we called you.” Ran placed Rainbow on her back and trotted off with the others explaining to her what was going on.
Pinky was easy to find she was at sugar cube corner cleaning what was remaining of the party “Hey guys are you all here to eat cupcakes, I baked a new type its Hot sauce flavour!” she held up a bright red cupcake, the others held their noses as their eyes watered from the powerful smell, while Ran looked at the cupcake with stary eyes and licked her lips. “May I try one Pinkie?” she questioned her “Oooo your the first one that wanted to try this I thought this was going to be a failure, here you can have it” Ran shook her head and took a bite out of the cupcake and felt the heat burn her throat and increase even more when she swallowed it, she grinned in delight of the spicy flavour and gulped the rest down, as the others looked at her in shock since they know not to try most of Pinkie's crazy recipes. “That was tasty Pinkie, if you make some more place let me know the spicier the better” and walked out to find the last two ponies.
“Are you sure that you are ok? I never seen somepony eat something that spicy and not turn in to spike” Twilight questioned Ran as they walked to Fluttershy's house “Yeah I mean last time I ate one of Pinkie's new recipes I couldn't look at a cupcake for a couple of weeks without remembering that taste” Rainbow said flying above them, Ran shook her head “I am fine, I enjoy spicy food its one of my favourite flavours that I like, next to some other.” They spotted a the animal loving pony in her front yard feeding animals of many sizes. “Oh hello everyone I was just finishing giving everyone their breakfast” she placed some bird seeds in a bowl but was surprised to see most of the hunting type birds landing on Ran. Ran looked at the birds on her and shook them gently off, making them scatter feathers and some landed in her mouth and in front of her eyes. Trying to shake them off she spat out the feathers and bumped into something, falling over she finally got the feathers out of her eyes she saw that she bumped into a bear. The bear roared at her and leaped at her shocking the others, and making Rarity faint, Ran and the bear started to wrestle. The others was about to help when they saw her laughing.
After playing with the bear, Ran waved good bye to it as they started to go to applejack's Rarity was using her magic to pull out twigs from Ran's mane and tail. “Weren't you scared that, bear jumped at you Ran?” Twilight asked her friend, Ran shook her head “The bear was on Fluttershy's place you told me that any animal that she looks after is not dangerous, sure I was a bit scared that it jumped me. But I saw that Fluttershy was not that much in a panic so I really didn't need to worry” she shook herself from the dirt causing that others to sneeze. As they walked into the farm they saw Applejack bucking a tree “Hey Applejack”, the others trotted up to her as Ran looked at some of the trees that had buckets under them, and spotted Applebloom. “Hello little one are you helping your sister?” she looked at her, Applebloom saw the mare and hugged her “Sure am Ran, its just..” Ran looked at the filly, “I aint strong enough to buck all them apples down at once, I gots to buck the tree a couple of times before all of them fall” Ran nuzzled the filly gently and smiled “You are young, bucking apples or really anything to get it all down that's quite a bit of strength, strength that your sister and brother have built over the years. But I can teach you a trick now watch carefully”
Ran looked at a tree that was full of apples and firmly planted her hooves down, taking a deep breath she bucked the tree. With a loud and soundly thud all the apples fell down into the buckets, and with the shockwave from the kick it made some of the apples from the tree behind fall as well. “Wow that was a mighty buck Ran, but I aint going to be as strong as you.” the filly sadly said, Ran comforted her as spoke “Strength this not everything young on, you just have to plant your hooves down firmly and contract all your energy into your back legs and kick. But there is always another way. Just talk to the tree first then give them a gently tap and they will like you have the best apples they make.” “Talk to the trees? Now that's just stupid” Ran smiled and patted Applebloom's head “You can always try where is your curiosity that I saw before” Ran said as she galloped back to the others leaving Applebloom to think.
Back to Ran's shop
“Great everyone is here” Ran smiled at the group and then pulled the curtain back to show the display. Everyone in the group was staring in awe, with their mouths gaping opening. The display before them was awestruck they saw a two joint moveable pony mannequins, with one of their front legs rose and the head bow down, both placed facing each other. One was clearly dressed as a female, with a gold and onyx crown, she was dressed in a long grown that was shining different blue hues when the light hit it, the torso was paired off with an amazing light purple coat that matched with the grown, with a golden necklace shaped as a star sitting against her chest to top it off a pair of delicate black shoes with sliver decorations on it.
The other one was dress as a male a black top hat with a crimson band going around the hat held a black rose, he was dressed in a black tuxedo with a fish tail that was gemmed off with rubies and trimmed off with gold tucked under that was a white shirt that had a deep blue tie on that had a sliver clip that kept it from moving on his front hoof he had white cuffs that was gemmed with rubies as well. What was odd about the the mannequin was it was rough fur stuck out from places giving it an animal feature. The surrounding was created to be like a ballroom with small table on the side, that had a music box playing, a cup and a teapot on the side that looked like they had faces.
“Well what do you think? I chosen a good theme for this, can you guess what it is? ” Ran turned around and saw the group have grown larger with filly's staring at the dress. The girls looked at her and smiled “This display this amazing I have never seen, there is so much detail going into this... it's just wow” Ran smiled as a shy unicorn came up to her “Erm... excuse me miss?” Ran looked down at the unicorn and bent down to her level, smiling at the mare. The mare back off a bit and looked up shyly at her “Can I buy the same necklace on that pony?” she smiled at Ran. Ran smiled back and used her magic to open the door and spoke loudly. “ My shop is open for business please come in” with that she walked into her shop as other ponies followed her in looking at the wonders in her shop.
As she saw ponies in her shop looking about she felt a small tap on her shoulder “Darling this place is beautiful! I can't believe the mannequins outside the window display did you make the clothes yourself?” Rarity as her, Ran shook her had “I get clothing donated to me on my travels or I buy them I have not that much talent in making clothes, the best I can do is repair them and add extra bits on them.” she smiled and walked up to a pony that needed help.
The whole group was browsing through the sections in the store, Rarity when to look at the clothes so many that she has never seen the material was amazing as well as she spotted the fabric section she was stuck in there staring at the quality and colours in the shop. Pinkie was staring at the sweets that looked like stars, she picked up one and ate it liking the flavour she dived for more, till Ran stopped her with her magic lecturing her that the sweets were for everyone and she couldn't eat all of them. While Fluttershy looked at the rather large raven, that was sitting still on a perch next to the till she thought it was stuffed till it flew off and landed on Ran's flank, pulling on her mane and squawking at her. Spike stared at the flawless gems in the a glass case, he saw his favourite a fire ruby he was drooling on the floor, that was till the raven flew down with a broom and hit him over the head with it. Twilight was looking at star related books wondering why some of them weren't in her own collection. Applejack looked at some of the different seeds and potions that were said to help plant grow she was thinking of buying some but wanted to know more about it. Lastly Rainbow was looking at a poster saying something about an event was happening later tonight.
“Hey Ran what this is event about?” she pointed to the poster that had a telescope on it. Ran looked back at her “Oh that event is happening in the evening tonight and throughout this week, its for ponies that want to learn about the stars, it cost 1 bit to enter this event, you just sign the paper next to the till” she pointed with her head. She walked off and saw the puddle of drool on the floor, then mopped it away when her raven picked her head again. “Ouch! That hurt Midnight.” she swatted at the raven gently with her tail.
Midnight pecked her again and squawked at her again, gesturing that she was forgetting something “Ah yes I almost forgot if anypony can guess what the display is they win a prize” she smiled as she walked over to another customer talking to them, while having Midnight nestled on her flank.
Late that afternoon
As the last pony left the shop, Ran sat down to have a nice rest she looked around the shop and saw that her friends were left in her store “Well its getting a bit late do you guys want to eat some lunch, you guys have stayed for most of the day.” she smiled at the group and moved behind the counter through a door and started to make lunch for everyone. “Ran do you need any help?” Ran shouted back that she was fine, then brought out some tea and flower sandwiches. She placed them down as she moved everything out the way from the centre and placed cushions around the room. “Sit down every pony let's eat.” she smiled and picked up rose sandwich and started to eat it, as the others asked questions to Ran and she happily answered them.
