> A Pretty Little Dime > by Plumage > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- > One > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- Discord. My dearest Discord. I remember watching you kiss Celestia. I was about to offer up Celestia's gifts. And I saw.... You. Her. Together. I could see what she was doing. It was so obvious. But you smiled that beautiful smile so awkwardly...ran your paw through your hair....said something to her.... And she kissed you. I don't know. What I did after that. I think... Something died inside of me, and I "Queen? Queen Dime?" I look up from the letter. Firemane, my Guard, stands in the doorway. "Are you alright, my Queen?" "Fine, Firemane..." "Well...there is one who needs judgement...but that can wait till tomorrow." "What for?" "He was getting high on Equin. He was dealing in it. Some of the substances he had could have sold for more than two hundred Bronzes." "I will...judge him as I deem fit in the morn," I reply. "Yes, Queen Dime." I turn to the scroll. Something died inside of me, and I just, sort of, went into shock. You don't know this but that was the last time I ever saw you. Kissing your special somepony. Ironically, Celestia is the only one of our school friends I keep up with. Are you there with her? She has not mentioned you. You have a right to kiss your special somepony. And I really can't complain. Because it leaves me....open. Besides, Celestia is better for you. She is so much better than me. She is smarter, prettier, she is much more popular and she is the kindest pony I know. Ever. I wish I looked like her. But I'm stuck being gold. And this mane is so distracting. I know it is supposed to symbolize gold and all the gems there are, but the multicoloured sparkles distract me when I am supposed to be talking to my "Dime?" "Who is there?" "It is me. Your student, Emmy." "Emmy, my student. Have you completed your essay on your chosen event of the past?" "Yes!" "What event did you choose?" "Read," said the smaller Pegicorn, "and find out," It was an essay on how the world was formed. The world was never formed, it was truly gifted to me as I left the School of Worthy Kings and Queens. Along with my "Destiny Scroll Results" and a couple of gifts from my friends, I came to this world. I live alone here. Well, not alone alone, but there are no others who truly understand a god's sadness. Apart from another god, but there aren't any of those around here. These small creatures, I shaped them as they evolved. I made them into smaller versions of the powerful Alicorn. Unfortunately, the power of each was greatly weakened compared to mine, because I could not use all of my powers to make them equal to me. So they have weak magic which consists of mainly levitation skills, weak flying skills and not too much strength. There are many races of Pegicorn, based on the many creatures I knew. For example; the black ones with green eyes and turquoise manes have named themselves the Children of Change, the ones that are the ones that mainly live closer to me are the Elite Semi-Royals, and there are many other smaller towns and many forests where more species that I have forgotten about may lie. "That is great." I say, and smile at the pony in front of me. "An accurate description of Fërulia." "Thankyou!" She walks out, carrying the scroll as she leaves. talking to my subjects, because it sparkles in the corner of my eye. Discord, I loved you my whole life. I don't know if you knew, so I guess that's why I wrote so many songs and poems and undelivered letters to you. And Celestia doesn't know either. Which is good. I hope. Even though that would probably be better, because she could probably help me with getting over you. You are probably married with children and a happy life. You don't need me. I read through my letter and sigh. It is too silly. He won't reply to that. I scrunch it up and throw it in the bin. Time to write another rant on to Celestia... (QUIZ) Guess correctly what solar system Fërulia is in, and your OC pony will receive an appearance in this story, because I can't be bothered making up OCs anymore. > Two > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- Dearest Celestia, How are you? I heard you have been unwell since I last contacted you. Did your situation with the many Pink of Pies go as planned? I would use the Reflection Spell but I am truly not really too sure it would work. The unicorn Sombra was defeated by your student, correct? How is your Sparkling Twilight? Is she progressing well with her studies? Moving to the "Next Level"? My dragon egg you have gifted me with has in fact hatched; I raise it as I speak. Can you think of a possible name? I was considering Bleach. Yes, I think I will use that name. Also, I have need for assistance. I have been told recently Hearthus 9 has been re-named "The Dead Planet". Wasn't that Chrysalis's planet? Do you know where she is? If she is alright? I am hoping your sister is well too; you said to me that Sparkling Twilight also broke through the evil walls of jealousy to reveal the vulnerable pony underneath. Emerald is coming along well with her studies and I believe soon she may be prepared for her first test. Sparkling Twilight is obviously extremely far ahead of Emerald in this area. Do you have any recommendations for a first test? Yours, Queen Dime of Fërulia Putting down my quill, I call for my Messenger. "BLEACH! "What?!" A small platinum silver dragon comes into the room. He walks on two legs and it has tiny wings. It looks up at me with ice blue eyes. "Come on, Dime! It's only been, like; two minutes since you sent the last one." "Please, Bleach, I'm not in the mood." He blows red fire onto the scroll and it disappears. (QUIZ) Guess correctly what solar system Fërulia is in, and your OC pony will receive an appearance in this story, because I can't be bothered making up OCs anymore. > Three > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- There was silence, absolute nothing in the forest. It was what made her queasy. She couldn't take it. "WHO ARE YOU!?" she screamed into the night. "WHAT DO YOU WANT?!" No awnser. She was afraid. Not just that. She was scared out of her wits. "Hello?" she called weakly. hellohellohellohello? said the echoes. She heard something. A breath. Whipping around, she saw nothing. She must have been imagining things. She huffed a sigh of relief. She bit her lip. It must have been a joke after all. Just an urban legend....just a legend.... She turned around in the direction of home, and saw a white something that looked like a face. But there was nothing on it. She screamed, turned to run. But it was too late. "Miss..." I close the book slowly, knowing I'm finished with it anyway. "Yes?" It's my Maiden of the Hoof, Golden Sparkles. At least that is what it sounds like in this language. She's a light bluish violet with a purple and violet tail in need of a brush. Her eyes are yellowy. She looks up at me. She's shy, so I do my best to be gentle with her when I do see her. "I...I have been told by your personal Pony of the Jesting he would prefer to have his Jesting session next Sunday," "That's fine," I say gently. "O-okay," she stammers. "I...I guess I'll go..." She turns to leave, but I call back to her. "Hey-wait-!" She turns back, but she looks afraid. "Wanna come help me shape some metal? I can show you how?" I knew ponies didn't like spending time with the Queen but I was sick to death of just sitting here reading. "Uhh....okay," She still looks cautious, so I stand and walk towards the door. "Are you coming with me?" "Oh...yes?" I smile, open the door with magic. She trots outside, and I close the door behind me. "Let's go. The metalworking room is just down the hall." There is a door at the end of the hall. It's made of a rare and sturdy metal from this planet: Sāmerîum. Named for the Pegicorn who discovered most of the elements on the planet, Sāmerîus. I open the door and Golden Sparkles gasps. I can see why. The metalworking room is my pride and joy. Because I spend most of my non-regal time in here it has to be perfect for me. So that's what I did. First of all I used the beautiful crystal Qurëlîum. It shines and sparkles, it changes colours when the light refracts off it, and is the hardest substance on the planet. I used Geïlå for the tables; it's strong but it has a reaction to the rain here that causes it to crumble into red dust. And the metals, the metals! All the rarest, most beautiful, most powerful, most expensive metals are sent to the Queen. I send them back to the finders, but I make them into art before I do. Like the child who'd found a portion of Qurëlîum. I made her a tiny, unbreakable Crystal Pony. It sparkled, it was wonderful. But I had to send it away. "What do you think?" I say. Golden Sparkles is still speechless. "I-Is this-?" "Golden Sparkles, please. Can we not just start?" She smiles. "Sure..." I use my magic to take a small chunk of spare Geïlå (one of the easiest metals to shape) off one of the shelves. "Here." She takes it with surprisingly strong magic. I take some Yvõrūm (an orange gem with healing powers) and put that on the table next to hers. "Alright, let's start. Put your horn on the metal." I never had to do that, but I found ponies trying to replicate my magic did better having the point their magic was channeled through put in contact with the object. I put my horn close enough to the Yvõrūm to make it seem like it's touching, then say, "Now, concentrate as hard as you can on the metal. Feel it. Feel the molten inside of the metal trying to get out and move." Golden Sparkle closes her eyes. The Geïlå looks slightly warmer. "Now, let it get out! Let it break through and move to your will." The Yvõrūm is flying around my head in circles, my eyes following it lazily. "I...can't!" "You can," I reply, knowing shouting would be a bad idea for this Pegicorn. The Yvõrūm is pooling at my feet. It jumps up onto the table and forms a tiny pony. The little Yvõrūm pony spreads its wings and flies around the room, doing tricks and spinning around. Golden Sparkle's Geïlå looks on the verge of melting...but then she gasps and looks up. "I can't do it," she says. "I'm sure you can." "I...can't. I need to leave for flying lessons." She trots out the door. The orange Yvõrūm pony lands on the table as the Geïlå takes shape to form a little greyish pony that takes off and lands on Golden Sparkle's back. The little orange pony sits down, obviously sad. She forms that pose now as my magic loses effect. I sigh. I levitate the pony towards me. "I know that feeling," I say to it. Maybe its healing powers can fix my heart. A/N Another quiz: who is Celestia's other sister? > Four > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- Today is Discord's birthday. I'm.....not sure how to act today. Celestia still hasn't sent a reply letter. Maybe something is happening. I wouldn't know. I never, ever told anypony, but I actually have an alright voice. I can hold all the notes, sing in key and things. Nopony knows. Not even Celestia. Not Crysalis. Not Golden Sparkle. Well, I should hope she doesn't know. I do sing in the Shower of Warm Rain sometimes. But Bleach knows. He heard me. Yesterday I was making a gauntlet. I was singing to myself, quietly. "You'd know how the time flies. Only yesterday was the time of our lives....we were born and raised in a summer haze...." And the door opened. Instantly the melody died. "Wow, you are good!" the little dragon exclaimed. "Bleach? What are you doing here?" He blushed. "I, uh, sometimes I sleep in here because the metals are welcoming...." I smile at him. "Tonight you sleep in my bed." He looked horrified. "Where will you sleep?!" "I'll craft a bed." "Oh....can you make one for me?" I smiled at him. "Sure. What metal?" He looked around, touched a few chunks of minerals. "This one." He'd lifted it up off the bench, using both claws, and pulled it close to his heart. "It feels...right." That metal was from Equestria. It would make sense he wanted a metal from his own planet. "Okay, then." So I made him a bed. He said it was perfect. I believe the metal was called ruby. Celestia gifted it to me in one of her first letters. She said the longer you leave it, the stronger and more beautiful it is. That particular ruby has been on my shelf years. I didn't know how to use something so perfect. Here comes Bleach now. "Queen! Dime! Hello-o?" I look down at him. "Yes, Bleach?" "Celestia sent a letter, and something else too!" He passes me a scroll with a silver ribbon tied around it. And a brown parcel. I open the letter. Dime, I have many suggestions for Emerald's teaching. I am sorry to say I cannot speak of them now, as a threat has been made against Canterlot by a certain Trixie. I do in fact know what has happened to Chrysalis. She attempted to take over Canterlot little over a month ago. She has advanced much since I last saw her. I chose not to acknowledge her; she was making a threat against my subjects. I tried to defeat her, but she had grown powerful, and Twilight Sparkle and her friends were overpowered by her army before they could use the Elements of Harmony. I am proud to say my niece Princess Mi Amore Cadenza and her husband Shining Armor used the power of Love to defeat her. She now resides in the Badlands past the Solar Empire. I know that it is Discord's birthday today. I know we made a pact not to speak of him, whether he did or didn't know I was speaking to you, but I thought you would appreciate the enclosed gift. Yours, Princess Celestia of Equestria I open the package. It's stone, but it's harder than anything I've ever seen before. I pick it up. Tap it with my hoof. It smells of Discord. (A/N) Sorry for the long wait. Another one's ahead, I'm going on camp for a week. > Five > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- I don't want to get out of bed today. I pull the bed covers up over my head and curl up. I just...I'm not in the mood for anything. I don't want to be a queen. I just want to be me. Unfortunately, being me means I have to be a queen. Shivering, even though it's warm this morning, I reach for the hard-marble that Celestia sent me and pull it close. I wonder if I'd be able to craft with it? It'd probably lose its smell. "M-miss Dime?" "Yes?" I call from underneath my covers. "May I enter?" Oh, great. Just who I need right now. "Yes, Golden Sparkles," I sigh. She pushes the door open slowly and I hear muted hoofsteps on carpet. "Miss Dime? I, uhm, I...." "Yes, Golden Sparkles?" "I, I have good news and bad news," she begins hesitantly. "Bad news first." "Well, I...Emerald has been killed," No. Not Emerald. My own student. I do not need this right now. "G-good news?" "Bleach has received a letter from Princess Celestia." She lays something on the quilt covering my wings. "I..." She sounds like she wants to say something else. "What?" I try to make myself sound caring. "N-nothing, your Highness," And I hear the door close. I pull the covers up and discover a scroll. Opening it, I read, Princesses Celestia and Luna Cordially Invite Queen Dime For a Stay on their Wonderful Planet Equestria Underneath was a hoof-written note in a handwriting I hadn't seen for almost a thousand years saying, Do hope you can come. RSVP. Princess Luna? Princess Luna? Why in the world would Celestia make her crazy sister a princess? Was she nutty as a Cake of Many Dried Fruit? And Emerald.... Emmy... I don't remember much else of that week, really. I have bits and pieces, like the memory of a crafted metal table, the signing of a document, the reply and organization of the visit to Equestria, which will be next week, and Emmy's funeral. No more Emmy. No more essays, no more frantic panic sessions because she hadn't been given homework, no more anything because the closest thing I have to a friend on this damned planet is DEAD. I'm so lonely. > Six > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- Bleach, me and Golden Sparkles are waiting for our escort, who is supposed to be here by now. I'm trying my best to look very important, but it must not be working, because Bleach is looking at me weird, like I'm making a strange face or something. And now there's a pony in front of us. She's a light violet, with blue eyes and an orangy-yellow mane tied up loosely at the end so that it forms a little bobble. "Well, good..." She glances around. "Morning?" "Why haven't you got a horn?" Bleach bursts out. The pony flaps her wings. "Why would I?" "Because you-" "Bleach," I interrupt. "Ponies on Equestria have either wings, a horn or neither." "That's weird," Bleach says. I shake my head. "It means they're more powerful in their fields." "Yeah!" The pony grins and flaps her wings again. "I betcha none of you can break the light barrier!" "The-?" It's the first time Golden Sparkles has spoken. "Yep. I'm even faster than Rainbow Dash." She grins again. "Alright. One of you, get on my back and hold on tight." Golden Sparkles bites her lip anxiously and climbs onto the pony's back. "I'm Plumage, by the way." She spreads her wings and....she's gone. "Who's next?" Her voice shocks me, how can she be back that fast?! "You. Little silver dragon thing. Hop on." Bleach does. His claws are shaking. "You need to hold on tight." He hugs Plumage's neck. "Hold on." She's gone. Plumage comes back in just over ten seconds, and she says, "Okay, last one. Hop on, miss." "I...." She looks at me. "Oh, right." My size in comparison to hers doesn't make too much sense. "You...could....fly alongside me?" I spread my wings. I was never very good at PE. I was the second lowest in the class above Discord, whose ganglyness sort of didn't help with his coordination. "Come on. It's easy. Just... Flap your wings...." Uncertainly I flap my wings a couple of times. "That's it! Real fast though." She demonstrates. I follow, shakily but still managing to keep up. I laugh. Plumage grins. "Wanna race, your Royal Klutziness?" I take off, not waiting for the winged pony, grinning, laughing. This is the most fun I've had in months. I wouldn't mind a student like this! Plumage is easily keeping up. She nods for me to go faster. She's pulling ahead. Trying to speed up, I notice I'm getting tired, but obviously I can't take a breath. I'm in space. Faster. Somehow I manage to speed up. Plumage is pointing to a very bright planet. She bows her head and pours on the speed. I'm trying to keep up. But I can't go any faster! We hit the atmosphere and I realise how hot I'm getting. Plumage pulls up and I follow suit. It would be best to copy her since I don't know this planet. She finds a cloud and lands. "Wow, miss." She's panting. I tired her out. "Well...it was a pleasure meeting you, Plumage." I realise I'm puffed too. "You...too. Go to...the big castle. That's...Canterlot. Shining...Armor will...let you in." I nod. I take a deep breath and head in the direction of the castle. The two guards that stand at the entrance to Canterlot nod at me and let me in. Flying up to a small balcony with a telescope, I spot a little dragon tottering into a very fancy looking apartment. Upon closer inspection I realise the dragon is purple. "Greetings, Dime." Spinning around, I see Luna. "I can imagine your surprise. Last time I spoke to you I was a different mare." "Why are you here?" I snarl. "Peace. I have served my thousand-year stay on the moon." A thousand years? Isn't that a bit harsh? "Hey, Luna....You free for a - " A figure has appeared in the doorway. A draqonecian figure. "Discord?" I ask eagerly. "Discord?" the figure imitates. "Who is that guy? I keep hearing about him." He walks into the light and I see it isn't Discord. His black mane has streaks of blue, green, purple and pink in it. The normally curved over blue horn has been straightened out, and he has a pinkish-white wing and leg. Most of all, his eyes are different. "What?" he says. He sounds JUST LIKE DISCORD. "Dime, this is Celestia's son Dionysus." "Hi...Dime." Dionysus says. "Hello," I reply. "Your dragon and servant are waiting." Luna says. She trots out of the room, and I follow, feeling yellowish-pink eyes watching me as I go out the door. "Dime!" "Bleach," I say, wanting to look regal. "Dime," says a voice. "How long has it been since I have last seen you?" Oh my God. Celestia's much bigger than I remembered, with a mane that twists and turns like mine. She still wears that crown and neck piece that I crafted for her. "Celestia!" I exclaim. "Wow, you look..." "Different?" She smiles. "So do you." Blushing, I look down. "Is he here?" I ask. "No. He's....away," Celestia says vaguely. Looking around at the small Uppercrust audience who have gathered, I stand up tall and say very formally to Celestia, "Take me, my personal dragon and my hoofmaiden to our rooms, if you would." She nods, also formally, and makes a small motion for us to follow her. > Seven > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- I enter the small apartment room and fall on the bed; I'm too tired to do anything else. * "Wow! Another baby dragon!" Bleach turned at the sound. He'd been hoping to get straight up so that he could join Dime. He had some poetry to finish. A little purple dragon with green spines and eyes was toddling towards him. He seemed fatter than Bleach, but then again, Bleach ran around the castle every day with Golden Sparkles to see if he could beat a pegicorn with flying difficulties. "Who are you?" Bleach asked, narrowing his eyes. "I'm Spike!" The little dragon grinned. "I'm here with Rarity" - the dragon's eyes clouded over dreamily for a second - "to find some Canterlot-exclusive dress materials." Bleach nodded carefully. "Okay." He turned to walk up the stairs to Dime's room, but the purple dragon, Spike wasn't it? called, "So who are you?" "Bleach." Bleach didn't turn. Instead he kept walking up the stairs. "Wait!" Spike called. "Whatcha doing in Canterlot?" "I'm here with my queen." Climb the stairs and he'll probably get bored and go away. He's not exactly fit. "Your queen?" Spike puffed behind him. "Yes, my queen. Her name is Dimerius Molocti." "Wow," panted Spike. "Can I meet her?" "If she wishes you to." "How'd you get here?" Spike asked. "We came via a purple-winged escort, who seemed very arrogant. She did not have a horn." Bleach was trying to be as formal as possible so that the dragon wouldn't think Bleach was interesting. "Plumage," Spike replied. "She's okay once you get to know her. Kid of the weather pony. Feather." "No Rainbow Dash?" "She's busy right now. Training to be a Wonderbolt. She can't do weather as well." "A...wonder what?" Bleach asked blankly. "Wonderbolt." "Sorry?" "Most Talented Flyers in All of Equestria? Where've you been? Under a rock or something?" "You could say that," Bleach muttered. "What?" "Well, actually," Bleach replied, "Dime, Golden Sparkles and I have come from my home planet. Fërulia." "Wow! But you don't look like you're from Fërulia." He pronounced it Feooliah. "You look like you're from here." "Here? No. I serve my noble queen as well-ly as I can and-" "Well-ly isn't a word." Bleach narrowed his eyes and climbed faster. "How do you know?" "I live with a librarian." They'd reached the top of the stairs. "This is where I am staying." Bleach said to the purple dragon. "Can I see your queen?" Bleach nodded. "But be careful. If she believes you have to go, then you have to go." Spike nodded seriously. Peeking inside, he almost fell over. "What are you doing?! She is asleep! Do not disturb her!" Spike nodded furiously. He tiptoed into the room. Bleach looked inside. Dime was sprawled across the bed, her loose mane and tail moving as if in an invisible wind. She breathed heavily; there would be no waking her. Bleach sighed in relief. "Spike..." Bleach warned. "If Golden Sparkles sees you in here she'll kill you." "My queen's Maiden Of The Hoof," he explained at Spike's blank look. When his blank look persisted Bleach said, "Oh, never mind, you just have to go!" Spike let Bleach usher him out of the door. He sighed again and shook his head, curling up on his comfortable sparkly red bed. * Yawning, I open my eyes to see that surprisingly Bleach is still in bed. He's usually up and running about by now. I open the door and smile into the sunshine. It's a beautiful day, just ready to be spent. I look down at the Gardens. I will visit them today. Not today. Now. Wings spread, I land lightly in an alcove holding a big statue. Its label reads, 'Victory'. The statue on the pedestal in the middle seems very real... I keep avoiding it subconsciously, as if it's something I shouldn't see. I force myself to look at it. And gasp. Fall backwards. Shock. No. No. No. It's Discord. > Eight > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- "Dime!" "Hey, is she okay?" "DIME!" I opened my eyes, not wanting to see anypony (or any draconequus) but the statue is gone. "Where'd the statue-" "Celestia took one to Ponyville for some reason, maybe that's the one you're talking about." "Oh," I smile. "It was probably nothing...lack of sleep," I'm making weak excuses, and Luna, Bleach and Golden Sparkles know it. "We need to get you to the infirmary, maybe we can-" But I interrupt Bleach. "No!" Luna looks at me, confused. "I mean, no, I'm fine. Really!" I say quickly. "Well, at least let me come with you back to your room." Golden Sparkles says reasonably. I nod and she helps me up. She leads me back up to my room. "Thankyou, Golden Sparkles." I say, once I'm safely in my bed. I try not to be too hearty with her, since that might scare her off, but I want her to know that I am grateful. "Um, miss Dime?" "Yes?" "Please, call me Golden," This is the first time in her ten years of employment that she has asked this. "Oh," I say, surprised. "Oh, alright," "And...miss Dime?" "Yes?" "C-could you...I-I mean, could I...what I'm trying to say is... Could I..." But she loses her voice and the sentence trails off into nothing. I can see she feels anxious, apprehensive, but what for? Surely she has got to know me by now? I'm not sure what to do. "Golden, you can ask me anything. Don't worry about what I'll think of you for it." She bites her lip. "Oh, okay...Iwannabeurfathfilsudent." She says it way too fast, and then she blushes crimson and looks down. "Uh....sorry?" I ask hesitantly. "I want to be your faithful student," The question surprises me. Why in the world would she want to do that? I mean, after what happened to Emmy? "I've been thinking about it for a while now, and I want to know everything, everything and anything that you can tell me," She's still speaking fast, but I can understand her now. "Well....are you sure? After Emmy?" "Yes, I'm sure." She looks determined, but there is still a little blush on her face. "Then the answer is yes. Golden Sparkles, you are bound by this oath to study all that is magical and earthbound; all that lives in the sky, the water and the earth; you will study branches and beginnings, each and every day a new lesson. Do you swear to be loyal to Fërulia for evermore?" I ask, repeating the traditional oath I had recited to Emmy. Golden nods. "I swear by my heart and soul, my living body and my waking mind," She completes the oath. I smile. "Welcome to scholardom," I say. She laughs. And so I begin. "In the beginning, you were told there was one almighty god, borne of itself, as it created itself. He was Dûntr, the never ending dragon. Dûntr was lonely, as he was alone in the universe. He created a child, a golden alicorn. This alicorn was but a small fragment of his power. He created a world for this child to rule; and named it 'the beautiful place'. The alicorn was struggling, as she also suffered from loneliness. She viewed Dûntr as a god, one to look up to and worship, rather than a father. Dûntr created more of the ponies; but they were weaker, so that it would be easier for his child to rule without rebellion. Then, Dûntr sealed off the small world from the rest of his multiverse. The child nurtured its subjects as they grew from hunters to gatherers to farmers. It protected its subjects from harm. And as they grew into a sentient race, she took up the position as ruler. The child of Dûntr still rules over us today, and I am that child. That is a lie. Dûntr may exist in some form, in some other multiverse, but the truth is I did not create this world. As far as it is known, nopony did. It was found directly before the Worldgiving. The first thing you must know is that there is a section of the multiverse, completely invisible to all but gods, is a colossal high school. Gods and children of gods are sent there once they turn 14 to be taught the ways of a god. They are then sent to create their own worlds. The World Scroll tells you who you are and where you will be. It tells you your Fate. My own Fate consisted of Laughter. I do not know what this means as of yet. This School was where I attended and received my education. I do not remember any of the teacher's names; any of the classes; and I was only ever invited to one party. The last year of school was one to remember; although that story shall wait. Another thing you must understand is that ponies are not alone in this multiverse. There are bipeds known as humans, dragons, gryphons, and a peculiar species by the name of the draconequui. Draconequui are long-bodied, usually with the head of a horse or cow; occasionally you can get a donkey-headed specimen. They are mismatched creatures with a peculiar brand of magic. Since I only knew one personally, I cannot tell you what others of the species look like. The multiverse is peculiar; I once knew of a boy called Jesus who was extremely cocky and believed that all things should be modeled in his image. I also knew a ...pony who was kind and strong-willed. She, too, was peculiar: she had the ability to take on the shape of any other. Stopping, I cock my head to listen. There is a lot of noise coming from down below. Golden Sparkles has noticed too. "Maybe Celestia is back?" She seems curious. "Mm," I say, and open the door. Walking out to the balcony, I see she has in fact arrived back. And there's some...pony with her. It must be Dionysus; Celestia said that Discord had gone away somewhere. But would a son sit stiffly away from his mother? Almost as if he was trying not to touch her? Seems ungrateful for a son. We're talking about the pony who gave birth to this kid. I'm about to turn back in, my thoughts still on Dionysus when a voice I haven't heard for centuries shouts, "Dime?!"
