Are you absolutely sure you didn't take them?'' ''I-- I'm sure, Octavia,'' Derpy replied. ''I didn't. Honest. I'm not even hungry.'' She burped. ''You're positive.'' Derpy nodded. ''Fine. Then I'll ask your husband the same thing.'' Octavia trotted up the stairs to talk to Docter Hooves in his office. ''You don't suppose you know where those muffins on the plate went, do you?'' Octavia asked him. The Doctor smiled sheepishly. ''I suppose I have to admit I couldn't resist the smell of those muffins you made,'' he said. ''So I took just one before I remembered that lab rat Algamenon needs some work.'' ''But what about the rest of them?'' ''I have no clue. I saw a shadow run across the room, though. It looked an awful lot like Derpy.'' Octavia stared at him. ''And that was probably Derpy, wasn't it?'' ''You know Derpy.'' Octavia fished something out of her saddlebag. ''And speaking of her muffin obsessions, she left this Super Muffino Lulo comic at my shop. You should return this to her.'' ''On it.'' Octavia looked at the Docter's computer screen and asked, '' 'Concert tickets in stock'? Concert tickets for what?'' ''Oh, uh...'' Whooves looked at the ground. ''That concert in Canterlot? It's selling tickets already.'' ''Waaaaaaaiiiit a minute. My favorite concert of the year's selling tickets and you didn't tell me?'' ''Well...'' The Doctor clicked ''Buy One Now''. The computer screen flashed. ''Concert tickets are out of stock!'' said a voice on the screen. ''What?!'' shouted Octavia. ''That's right. But luckily you can talk to Princess Mi Amore Cadenza, and she may give one to you! Now! Limited time only,'' the screen said. ''Where is Cadance, anyway?'' asked Octavia. ''I think Lyra might know,'' Whooves said. ''She's pretty close to the Princess herself. She could tell us. It's more likely Cadance's in Canterlot.'' ''I can imagine if she knows Cadance's sister, Skylie, by heart. Lyra knows pretty much every Princess of Equestria by heart.'' ''I CAN'T imagine if she knew every villain.'' ''I've got to get that ticket. I promised I'd go with Vinyl.'' Octavia threw Derpy's Super Muffino Lulo comic on Whooves' desk and ran out of the building. ''Come on, Tavi... You'll get that ticket!'' She ran to the train station a few blocks away. ''When's the next train to Canterlot?'' she asked the train manager. The train manager checked his watch. ''Maybe in... No, about... Hmm... Two hours.'' Octavia groaned and ran to Lyra's cottage. ''Have any idea, even the slightest clue where Cadance is?'' Octavia asked. ''Nope,'' Lyra said, weeding her front yard. ''Sorry.'' ''That's okay,'' Tavi said. ''I guess I'll eventually find her. And sorry, Lyra. Derpy ate all the muffins for your picnic.'' ''That's fine anyway. Pinkie said she'll bake some for us.'' Lyra looked around. ''Octavia? Where'd you go?'' ''Those tickets might run out any minute!'' Octavia said as she ran from block to block, looking for Bon-Bon. She eventually came to Bon-Bon's cottage and rang the doorbell. Bon-Bon came to the door. ''Hey, Octa--'' the butter-hued pony said but was cut off. ''Bon-Bon! Thank goodness you're home!'' Octavia said. ''I've got nothing planned today.'' ''Anyway...'' Octavia twisted her black hair with her forehoof. ''Have any idea where Princess Cadance is?'' ''Who's Princess Cadance?'' ''You know, that Princess in Canterlot with the wedding. That Princess?'' ''Oh yeah...'' Bon-Bon grinned. ''Nope, I haven't heard about her lately. Sorry.'' ''Oh, uh...'' Octavia tried keeping a straight face. ''That's okay, I guess.'' ''What did you need the information for?'' ''Oh, I, uh... I needed a ticket to the concert in the Canterlot Symphony, but they sold out. The only way I can get one now is to find Princess Cadance, but nopony knows where she is.'' ''Well, I'd be happy to come along with yo--'' Bon-Bon scratched her head. ''Uh, Octavia? Where are you?'' Octavia ran across the streets of Ponyville. She tripped but immediately pulled her self up and kept running. ''I can't believe nopony knows where she is!'' she said. ''And now I'm gonna have to just find her myself!'' The clock reached 3:00 P.M. Octavia ran faster than she ever did before. She said, ''Well, I've got an hour before the train ride. I should be able to reach a few ponies.'' The grey mare ran to Colgate's house and knocked on the wooden door. ''I'm in the backyard!'' Colgate shouted from the back. Octavia ran to the blue unicorn's backyard. ''Oh, it's you, Octavia.'' ''Colgate,'' said Octavia, ''I need your help!'' ''Yes?'' ''I need to know where Princess Cadance is. Do you have any idea at all where she might be?'' ''Hmm...'' Colgate stared at the sky. She than looked back at Octavia. ''Nope. But Lyra might know.'' ''I tried Lyra already, but even she didn't know.'' ''Did you try your roommate yet?'' ''No. But I doubt Vinyl knows.'' ''You should see if she knows.'' Octavia ran off and called out, ''Bye!'' She ran back to her own house and whammed into the door. ''What the--?'' she murmured. ''VINYL!!! Unlock this door!'' Vinyl Scratch opened the door. ''It wasn't locked,'' the white unicorn said. ''I think the knob's gotta be replaced soon. Sorry about that, Tavi.'' ''It didn't hurt TOO much,'' said Octavia. Vinyl stared at her blankly. ''Anyway, how was your day at Derp-- I mean, Ditzy Do's house?'' ''Vinyl, do have ANY. IDEA. AT. ALL. Where Princess Cadance is?'' ''Wait, who's Princess Cadance?'' ''Then you obviously don't know. See you later, Scratch.'' Octavia bolted out of the house. ''Something's up with that mare,'' said Vinyl before sipping a soda. Octavia ran across the streets. ''Berry Punch should be home from the factory by now,'' Octavia said and glanced at the clock. It read 3:34 P.M. ''I still have about a half hour before the train ride.'' She arrived at Berry Punch's cottage. She knocked at the door. A magenta-hued mare opened the door. ''Hi, Tavi,'' said Berry Punch. ''What's u--'' "Berry, do you know where Princess Cadance is?'' ''Uh, no. I haven't seen her since the we--'' "Just a simple no is fine.'' ''Why do you need to know wher--'' "I need a concert ticket from Cadance.'' ''Uh, oka--'' "See you later!!!'' Berry Punch watched as Octavia ran into the distance. ''She's real serious about getting that ticket.'' *** The Ponyville clock read 3:42. Octavia groaned. ''I should be able to stop at Carrot Top's and be back to the train station by 3:57.'' Octavia ran and tripped again, and pulled herself back up. She noticed a cut on her leg, but ignored it and kept running. She eventually skidded to a stop at Carrot Top's cottage and knocked on the door. A butter-coated pony, similar color to Bon-Bon, opened the door. ''Hi, Tav--'' Carrot started but frowned. ''Whoa, what happened to you? You're all scratched up.'' ''Well, I...'' Octavia started, but broke out speaking fast. ''ThisconcertinCanterlotitsoldoutofticketsbeforeIcouldgetoneandnowIhavetofindPrincessCadancesoshecangivemeoneandI'vebeenlookingallovertheplaceforinformationwheresheisandI'vebeenrunningeverywhereandIkeeptrippingand--'' ''Whoa, whoa, WHOA, girl... Take it easy. What exactly are you talking about?'' ''The Canterlot Symphony Concert tickets sold out, before I could even get one! The only place I can get one now is from Princess Cadance, but nopony knows where she is. I've been running around everywhere so I can ask if anypony has seen her before the train ride to Canterlot. I keep tripping, and I'm afraid I'll never get that ticket!'' Carrot Top laughed. ''Really, Octavia? All this stress for you over a TICKET? Really?'' ''But this concert only plays once every 4 years! And it's my favorite band ever!'' ''If you really need it, here. I'll let you have my ticket.'' Carrot Top fished a silver ticket from her saddlebag. Octavia stared at it with big eyes. ''Really?'' she squeaked. ''You're willing to give your ticket away just for... Me?'' ''Mm-hmm.'' Silence. ''No.'' Octavia frowned. ''I'm not letting you give your only ticket away to some random pony like me.'' ''Don't make a big deal about it or I'll tell Cadance to never give you one again if her life depended on it.'' Octavia hugged Carrot. You could hear Tavi's shouting, ''Yes! Yes! YEEEEEEEEEESS!!!'' from all across Ponyville. > Season 1 Episode 2 > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- My Little Cronies: Season 1 Episode 2 The Dream About the Sister of Dawn After a long day, Lyra flopped down on her bed. She'd worked all day on a construction site with Applejack and Dawn Glittershine. She'd accidentally dropped a heavy piece of wood on her horn, so her horn was sore and the doctor said, ''No magic for 3 days.'' It wasn't like she used the magic anyway. Lyra decided to go to Dawn Glittershine's for dinner. She rubbed her horn before hastily getting off the bed and walking out the door. She tried using her door-opener spell. ''Oops,'' she said. Her horn hurt while the turquoise aura that had formed on the door's outline gradually disappeared. ''I'm not supposed to use my magic for a few days. Remember that, Lyra.'' She pushed the door open with her hoof and walked out the door. She closed the door behind her. ''Where is everypony?'' said Lyra. In the distance, she saw a familiar unicorn... Dawn! And a... Another unicorn. A purple and blue unicorn. With wings. ''Dawn!'' ''Lyra?'' said Dawn, baffled while turning to Lyra. ''What are you doing out this late in the evening?'' ''It's only 6:00 PM. That's not too late for me to be out in the evening.'' ''Mm-hmm.'' Dawn turned to the Alicorn beside her. ''Gusty, this is Lyra.'' Dawn turned back to Lyra. ''Lyra, this is Gusty Glittershine, my sister.'' Lyra considered asking, ''But why is she an Alicorn when you're a unicorn?'' but she didn't have to. Dawn answered already. ''If you're wondering why we're different races of ponies, we're half-sisters.'' That explains it, Lyra thought. I wonder if they have an Earth Pony and a Pegasus as parents. ''As a matter of fact, we do have mixed parents,'' said Gusty. ''How did you know I was gonna ask that?'' asked Lyra. ''A magical Alicorn never reveals her secrets,'' Gusty said. ''Uh, okay.'' Lyra looked at Dawn. ''Do you mind if I eat dinner with you for the night? Maybe tell me more about this 'Gusty'?'' ''Sure,'' said Dawn. ''We're not eating till 6:30.'' They got to Dawn's house. ''Our parents live in Manehatten,'' said Gusty while the three sat in chairs. ''We haven't told Lyra those spells you can do, have we, Gusty?'' Dawn asked her sister. ''Nope,'' Gusty said and looked at Lyra. ''I have a ton of spells I know by heart. Such as this one that I can use to change a pony to an Alicorn, one that can let you change your Cutie Mark for an hour, even one where you can turn something into anything you want, just by visualizing what you want it to be.'' ''Wait, wait, wait,'' Lyra said. ''You mentioned something about a shape-shifting Alicorn spell.'' ''Oh, that? Well, it can let a pony turn into an Alicorn for a week.'' ''That's so cool! You're lucky you know all those spells. I only know a few, but my horn is sprained. I can't use my magic for a few days.'' ''Check this out.'' Gusty's horn glowed a bright yellow aura. Lyra's horn glowed the same color. Both horns flashed. After a good five seconds, the light died down. ''Try to use your magic now, Lyra.'' ''But--'' "DO IT!'' Lyra tried levitating a lava lamp. It worked! And Lyra's horn no longer hurt. ''Whoa!'' Lyra exclaimed. ''That is way cool. I mean it.'' Lyra grinned wide. ''Say... Could you use that shape-shifting Alicorn spell you mentioned? On me?'' ''And also me?'' said Dawn. ''Wellllll...'' Gusty hesitated. ''Please?'' both Lyra and Dawn pleaded. ''You know... Okay, fine. Just this once.'' ''Yesss!'' Lyra whispered. (The next day...) ''Where'd Gusty go?'' Lyra asked Dawn in the park. They sat on a bench. ''Heck if I know,'' said Dawn. ''She said she had some minor issues with her magic. She probably went to the magic clinic.'' ''I hope she's okay. I hope we didn't throw her magic away with that one Alicorn spell we forced her to use.'' ''I don't think so. At least, I'm not positive she did. She's used that spell before a couple of times and it never affected her magic. Only...'' ''You don't think her magic was messed up before she used her spell, do you?'' ''No. Why do you ask?'' ''Well, maybe she messed up those spells last night.'' ''I don't know.'' ''Those wings still haven't developed.'' Silence. ''You think that's normal or abnormal?'' ''Uh oh.'' More silence. ''What?'' Dawn looked at the ground. ''She must've used the wrong spell. Those wings would have developed last night.'' ''But then... What spell did she use, you know, if she used the wrong spell?'' ''Why would I know?'' Dawn looked into Lyra's eyes. ''She said that her magic was pretty weird now, this morning. I'm 85% sure she messed up last night. I'm 15% sure she must've just glitched up last night and the spell didn't work at all and nothing happened.'' ''Hey, guys,'' said a familiar voice in the distance. It sounded slightly derpressed. ''Gusty?'' Dawn asked. ''Yup,'' said Gusty as she walked into view. Her horn was wrapped in gauze. ''W-what happened to your horn?'' Lyra asked. ''It's wrapped in gauze, like it's broken or something.'' ''It's fine,'' said Gusty. ''My horn's just kinda messed up. I can't do magic for a while. Anyway, you know that spell I used on you last night?'' ''Yes?'' both Dawn and Lyra said. ''It's messed up. Something happened.'' Dawn and Lyra stared at her, shocked as could be. ''Something's wrong with all three of us. We don't know what happened. At all. But I know something bad's happened to us.'' ''I learned a spell that might show us what happened,'' said Dawn, ''But I'm afraid to try it. What if our magic is cursed?'' ''Try,'' said Lyra. ''The only way we'll be able to know for sure is to try it.'' ''Well, okay,'' Dawn said. She and Lyra hopped off the bench. Lyra and Gusty stood right next to each other. ''You know,'' Lyra told Gusty, ''I never realized that we look exactly the same size!'' ''Shh!'' Gusty said. Dawn backed away from the two. Her horn glowed so bright, Lyra was lucky not to be blinded! The three glowed with purple aura. ''Πείτε μας τι είμαστε καταραμένοι κάτω!'' Dawn shouted. The whole background, whole distance of Ponyville, turned black and white. The aura from Dawn's horn died down, but not the aura from the three ponies' outlines. Ponyville disappeared in a ripple, and a new background. The background was of Canterlot gardens, where a fire, no-- A white fire, was surrounding the three. Just as Lyra stepped away... ''Lyra?'' asked an echoing voice. ''Lyra!'' Lyra's eyes shot open. ''Dewdrop? Dawn?'' ''Lyra, you've been twisting and turning and mumbling the whole night. Are you okay?'' Dewdrop Dazzle asked. ''Dawn, your sister... Was she real?'' Lyra asked. ''What sister?'' Dawn replied. ''Gusty Glittershine. Your sister.'' ''Oh, Gusty? She moved away a long time ago.'' Dawn's smile faltered a little as she said it. ''Strange that she was born as an Alicorn, though.'' ''Well, if she does come back soon...'' Lyra said. ''Yes?'' Dawn and Dewdropboth said. ''Tell her not to use any spells on us.'' ''Huh?'' ''It's a long story. Or dream.'' The three laughed while out there in the skyline, a certain purple and blue Alicorn looked down at them and laughed too. > Season 1 Episode 3 > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- My Little Cronies: Season 1 Episode 3 Lyra's First Visit to the Crystal Empire PART ONE After Lyra was done with her day's work, she sat back to admire it. She let out a big, grateful sigh. It was a realistic model of Star Swirl the Bearded, life size. It's for the Summer Sun Celebration, she reminded herself. So don't ruin it. The paint on it needs to dry in the meantime. Lyra took a stroll through town while she waited for her model to dry. She peeked through the windows to look at the pony dress forms with fashionable hats and necalices. But there was one that caught her eye... One that looked crystalline. It looked... Perfect for the Celebration in this year's location, the Crystal Empire. It was ruby red, with a fire ruby necalice. She saw Spike looking at it too. Oh, Spike, thought Lyra, You do realize you'd have to buy the dress to get the fire ruby necalice, don't you? She chuckled to herself. She walked in with 50 bits to buy the dress. She saw Spike also heading for the counter to pay. "Hello, may I get- Whaaaaa!" Spike was sent flying back into a shelf of soaps by the shove of Lyra's hoof. "Hello, may I buy this fire ruby dress please?" she said eagerly. In the corner of her eye, she was still fixed on the perfect dress she wanted. "Sure, that'll be 45 bits." Lyra threw 45 coins on the counter. The employee of the store went into a small room to get a dress just like it, and then put it in a bag. The pony then gave the bag to Lyra. Lyra thanked the employee and trotted out of the store. Spike started walking back up to the counter to buy the fire ruby dress. He'd just give the dress to Rarity and take the necalice. Of course, the necalice was the best part... Lyra then ran back to her house and touched her model. It was almost dry! She put her dress on and admired herself in the mirror. She looked like a princess unicorn. If only she had a hairdo to go with it... She decided to go to Rarity's to get a special hairdo from her. She walked up to Rarity's Carousel Boutique about a block away. She opened the door to find Rarity sewing a silk dress to add to her fashion line. "Please do come in, darling," said Rarity. "My my my, that's quite a fancy dress you got there." "Hello Rarity," Lyra said. "I got this dress from a store downtown to wear to the Summer Sun Celebration in the Crystal Empire, and I thought a good hairstyle would go perfectly with it. The Celebration's tonight, Rarity-- Tonight. I really need a good hairstyle, and I heard that you make perfect hairdos. Could you... Could you do that for me?" "Why, of course I can Lyra!" "Good. Can you make my hairstyle really match my dress, please?" Rarity first washed and rinsed Lyra's hair till it shone in the light. She braided, twisted, and curled her hair until Lyra looked like a unicorn princess. One last thing, Rarity thought to herself. Just one more. Don't louse this up. She placed a fire ruby tiara on Lyra's head to complete the style. Rarity's eyes twinkled at the sight at what Lyra's hair looked like. It looked almost like Princess Cadence's hairdo for the Equestria Games, but almost better. "Done, Lyra!" Rarity gave Lyra a hoofmirror to see how beautiful she looked. "...Rarity..." "Yes?" "This isn't the hairdo I had in mind..." "It isn't?" Rarity gulped. "No." Lyra felt herself grin wide. "It's EVEN BETTER! Better than I've ever seen you do!" "Why, thank you." "Here's your pay." Lyra levitated 15 bit's into Rarity's aura. "You shouldn't have. What I just did for you is just what friends do for each other." "Oh my gosh!!!!!" Lyra stared in horror at her hoofwatch. "The train ride leaves in 6 minutes!! See ya!" Before she knew it, Lyra was running around the block back to her cottage. Rarity flipped the OPEN sign on her window to CLOSED and trotted to the train station. Lyra quickly levitated her model into the air and ran to the train station. Right before the conductor shouted, "All aboard who's coming aboard!", Lyra made it through the doors. Just. In. Time. Lyra found herself sitting next to Pinkie Pie. "HI LYRA!!!" Pinkie shouted. "Um, Pinkie... Turn it down a notch? At least don't start yelling until we've taken off." The train then took off. Lyra groaned. "Can I--" Pinkie said, then was muffled by Lyra's hoof. Lyra then took her hoof off of Pinkie's mouth. "Yes, Pinkie, you can start talking now." Lyra rolled her eyes. As Pinkie was yapping something about oatmeal, Lyra asked a nearby pony, "How long is the train ride?" "1 and a half hours," was the pony's reply. 1 and a half hours isn't so bad, Lyra told herself. It's just... Ninety... Minutes... Lyra slapped herself in the face. Pinkie was still yapping, now talking gibberish about a pie. Lyra waited until Pinkie's back was turned, which was only a few seconds later fortunately to Lyra, and slowly crept away to move to a different seat, levitating her model with her and all. She fell asleep eventually after about five minutes. She woke up when the train was already in the Crystal Empire, and the train stopped. She was there...
