The night's dark embrace swept over the world as Princess Celestia's duty was finished, allowing Princess Luna to take over the moon touched earth. One by one the star arose from the dark shroud of the night sky, bursting with their magical light.
The moon casted high in the slumbering sky, its glow cascadng over the land. As the moon rose higher and higher, the air seemed to become misty and sparked with magic; It was truly awe-inspiring.
The residents of Eternia began to hustle about their kingdom, beginning their lives once again.

Unlike most ponies in the world, Eternia's residents were nocturnal at heart, only waking through out the moon's light. As the residents readied themselves for their lives, the kingdom's guards filled the streets with their presence, hanging posters and banners about the entire districts of Eternia.

They were the Lunar Guard and were a force to be reckoned with. Unlike the normal citizens, to be a Lunar Guard you had to be a rare kind of pony species called a Shadow Stalker to join.
They bore glowing red eyes and black coats, having tendrils on their shoulders which formed into web like wings. Their hooves were cloven to the point of sharp spikes and their overall body structure was long and slender like overgrown shadows.
One by one they placed the banners of the Queen up, clearly showing that an event was arising in the kingdom. Everypony started to talk, spreading rumors of the Queen's resignment or the King's death.

The preparations took several nights until finally they were finished. The guards stood post at every exit and door, almost as if they were expecting something to happen or someone to try and run.
As the events unfolded, I gave a low sigh as I levitated my crown off of my head and unto the bedside table. I was the Princess of this kingdom and yet I didn't even know what was going on.

It frustrated me to such an extent that I wanted to scream out in anger. I breathed in and out, gaining my composure once again.
"Whatever mother has up her sleeve, it doesn't feel right. The air is not as inviting as most would feel.... I must get to the bottom of this."
With that said, a small rounded pebble rocketed off my window, my attention now focused on the window.

"Who's there? Answer me." I asked, puzzled by why a pebble would hit my window.
No answer. Angrily I pushed open my window, peeking out. In shock I backed up, shocked to see the pony.
There down below was Abyss Armor with flowers in his hooves. He was smiling, beaming with joy as he flew up to meet me.

"Greetings Princess, I thought you would enjoy these glow lanterns. I know their your favorite."

"Um....I, well, thank you. Um, do you know what's going on with my mother and father? I haven't heard from either of them. I'm starting to worry."
He was such a kind stallion, with the purest of hearts. Despite his lineage, he was a very kind pony. He had been blamed for so many things but he still remained strong. As my eyes took in all his features, light blush hinted my cheeks. His locks were long and almost ooze like, their color silver like well woven spiders web. His eyes were crimson like rubies, glowing with a faint gleam of power and his coat was obsidian with red tipped hooves.

His wings were very long, stretching out beyond my wing span, their form fluid just like he mane and tail. Finally, his cutie mark. It was a skull like helmet upon his flank, finishing off his dashing look. The only other perk he had was his over sized canines that resembled sabers in a way.
The more I took him in, the more I blushed. He didn't give me an answer for a few moments until he gave a sigh and embraced me tightly, frowning.

"I'm so sorry Hallow, but your father....Hes passed from this world."

I welled up with tears almost instantly, my sadness overwhelming me. He was my only father and now he was gone. Why didn't anypony tell me? WHY!

He held me close to his chest, stroking my pink mane smooth, now cupping my cheek with his hoof. "Hallow...Please don't cry, he was ill and even you knew it. It was only a matter of time. Think about what will happen now.. I could be the king and you my queen!" His statement sent chills down my spine and I backed up, scowling at him.
"Is that all you care about Abyss? How disgusting! Get out of my sight!"

I was angry but soon my anger turned into fear and his face went from happiness to a sinister scowl. He was furious and soon he had me pinned to the ground. I gasped and began to cry as he nibbled on my ear. "Come now Hallow, think about it. We could rule Eternia and then the world! Just you and me!" I couldn't fight him back and I couldn't stop crying

His long saber fangs forced themselves into my tender neck, causing my body to become numb. I could feel everything yet I could not move.
I didn't want this, not now. I tried to struggle but he pressed on, forcing his seed deep inside of me. In horror I screamed but, hoping the guards would hear.

Nopony came to my rescue as he took my body for his own, unable to fight him off anymore. The last moments I remember was him whispering sweet nothings into my ear as I drifted from this world.
I was unconscious but yet I could hear him. He was laughing, throwing a blanket on my limp body. He sounded so happy, so happy that he tainted my pure body with his ill intent.

"Ah such a relief. The King is dead, the Queen is subdued and now I have my Queen. What a day this is! Guards, take her to her new chambers while I deal with her brother and sister."

The sound of hoofsteps circled around me as I felt them dragging me away, my body unable to move in the slightest. What had he done to me? Did he kill my father and mother? What was he going to be to Dark Seer and Shimmer Wing? This can't be real. I had to be dreaming. A terrible, terrible nightmare. Yes that's right, a nightmare.

As my fate was soon sealed, the guards met up with my brother, attacking him on sight. He tried his best to struggle but he was subdued as soon as the chains touched him that the guards wielded. The same fate lingered over my sister's head if they found her. More and more calamity happened in the wall of Eternia, the outbreak of riots surging through the streets of Eternia.

My mother, Queen Nocturna, had fought back with all her might while my father's funeral took place, purging most of the city of the traitorious guards. However, as I slumbered, Abyss attacked from the flank, chaining her to the ground and knocking her out. I couldn't help at all. I was out like a light. Time seemed irrelevant as I dreamed.

I shot up what seemed to be moments later, dazed with confusion and fatique. My neck throbbed as I held it with my hoof, grimacing from the pain. As I gathered my thoughts and regained my vision, I let out a gasp, seeing the remnents of my mother's chambers. The bedsheets were soaked in blood as well as the wall infront of me and the floor.

I let out a cry, trying my best to get up. Tight chains secured my body as I struggled. They were made of magic sealing metal, making my magic useless. I sobbed and continued to struggle, wanting this to be all over. Abyss entered the room, holding something in his hooves. It was my father's crown! Angrily I lunged within the confides of my chains, only choking myself to the point of gagging.

"Come down Hallow Skye, look on the bright side of things. this kingdom is mine now and you can be my beautiful Queen! Isn't that just lovely? I think it is."

He paused, placing the crown on his head while he stared at the blood on the walls. What did he say? Me Queen? How dare he! I was so angry I didn't even notice the bulge growing from my stomach. gasping I gripped my stomach and stared at him in horror.

"Oh that? Yes, that's our offspring my dear. You've been out for about two weeks now. I know, it feel like minutes right? Ha. Well don't worry, this is only the beginning. A few more months and will have our own little prince or princess."

I couldn't even comprehend what was unfolding. I was a hopeless wreck and now his baby making thing. He chuckled and whistled for the guards to arrive. They were carrying my little sister Shimmer with them, her mangled body limp and lifeless. I shot up and began to buck out of the chains, tearing into my flesh as I stretched the chains more and more until they snapped.

I hurled my body towards the guards and knocked them into the wall, impaling their shoulders with my horn. Panting I focused my attention on Shimmer, more tears falling to the ground. I fell next to her and held her close, sobbing over her body. A faint heartbeat erupted from her as she opened her eyes, dazed just as I was.

"Si....Sis..ter...He..Help..bro..ther.." She choked out, blood seeping from her mouth.

I screamed as she fainted once more, lunging myself now at Abyss with all of my rage, my body glowing with power. He just moved out of the way, sending his fangs into my throat once more. I let out a disgruntled moan and became limp once more within his grasp.

"Oh Hallow....Why must you be so rash? Enjoy this, you finally got what you wanted. You wanted me right? Be grateful then hehehe."

He placed me in the bed, replacing the sheets with silken ones. He was being so nice to me about all of this, and all it did was fuel my hatred. I soon regained movement once again and noticed he was gone as well as the guards. The window was sealed shut as well as the door. I clenched my teeth and flew out of the bed, my vision still blurry like last time.

The window was sealed with nails and wood to the point I couldn't pry it open. I took a breath in and out, focusing my magic. I was the Princess of the kingdom and I would prove my worth right here and now. The bricks of the wall began to seperate, moving into a floating pathway to the ground. I closed my eyes and made my way down the path.

At this point I couldn't fly for I was too shocked. I was pregnant with his seed and my family was dead. My only hope was the Land known as Equestria. As I made it to the ground, the guards failed to notice my appearance, carrying on with their duties. I gulped and forced my wings to stretch and span out, taking flight dew north to the land of magic.

The sun was rising over our land, everypony beginning to go to sleep. I had to stay awake, it was my only chance for freedom and salvation. As I reached the edge of the kingdom and into Bog Mist Forest, the shadows around me began to stir. Creatures known as Dark Dwellers soon erupted from the darkness, their hollow eyes gleaming with hunger.

"Feed....Feeeeeeeed.." They all echoed, closing in on me.

Huffing, I sent out a blast of magical light, causing them all to vanish back into the darkness. I would have to keep my horn lit if I wanted to survive this journey. It seemed like hours as I dashed through the forest, the sun now beginning to set. I looked up and caught a glimpse of the Princess of the sun, but only for a brief moment.

I had to be close. As I finally reached the end of the forest, my legs finally gave out, my magic depleting my strength. I had to be atleast a couple hours away from the kingdom, or atleast far enough away he couldn't find me. Taking a moment to breath, I noticed the ocean and my heart sank. I was trapped on Eternia unless I managed a way to fly to the country of Equestria. If I was going to fly there, I would need some rest. I sat up and levitated some tree limps and brush in the form of a hut with the last bits of my strength, sinking into the hut for the day.

Hours passed and soon it became night. However, I was still asleep. At the kingdom, Dark Seer had been placed into confinement, his magic being sucked out of him to fuel a strange device. He gasped as his last bits of magic seeped from his body, his face growing pale.

"Sister.....Get help..please.....I beseech you..." He choked out, his eyes dull and listless. The machine was a complex system of tubes and cogs, forcivally placed into his body, sucking his powers from him. As he screamed out, a bolt of light hit him, causing the tubes and bogs to snap and break apart. A small filly resembling Shimmer walked into the room, her eyes hollow just as the dark dwellers. She was white as snow though, her mane and coat the colors of a ghost.

"Brother.....She's getting help. Big brother, please stay alive and strong." She whispered, smiling with glee.

He struggled to stand up on all four hooves, weak from the draining process. She only smiled and floated next to him, glowing with a white glow. His strength soon came back, the ghost like filly vanishing from the room.

"I must fight....I have to fight. Abyss Armor you shall pay for what you have done!" He spat out in anger, dashing out of the chamber and into the armory. Within the walls of the armory were dusty shields and swords, showing how old they were. Cracks were in most of the actual armor and rats scuried from place to place. He nodded and breathed in, charging a spell.

His eyes lit up like the sun and soon the shields transformed into a hidden door, bearing the symbol of their family upon it's front. Opening it, he made his way into the secret halls, trotting down the stairs into the sewer lines. This is where he would escape from.

As he ventured further, I awoke from my slumber and stretched my wings and legs, determined to save my kingdom. The land looked the same, nothing had changed overnight and with that a smile pasted on my face. I would be able to move on soon. Casting my gaze on te ocean, I noticed a slight rock formation that would help me get down into the ocean's beach line.

I quickly made my way down, only tripping a few times. I was doing good. As I reached the ocean I began to notice ponies within the waves, their bodies resembling the water's currents. Their bodies moved and waved about, looking like pony shaped water waves. Puzzled I cleared my throat and fixed my hair, trotting up to them.

They hissed and snarled, steam flooding from their mouths and eyes. What were they? I gulped and straightened up, my head held high. "I am Princess Hallow Skye, and I wish to know a way to cross this ocean quickly." They continued to snarl, sinking into the depths below. My heart sank, was this it? No help from anypony? This is hopeless. As I sulked, a shadowed pony arose from the distance, a spunky little dragon standing next to them. Who was it? Were they my hope?
