Princess Celestia warns the Mane 6 of a mysterious creature lurking in the Everfree Forest. It's up to them to stop them, however this creature is very powerful and dangerous. Can the Mane 6 conquer this overwhelming power? It was a bright and sunny day at the Canterlot Castle; however a familiar, distressed Princess Celestia was roaming around her throne room. Something was indeed wrong, and the Princess was chomping at the bit awaiting her prized pupil. This was no mere picnic she invited her to, Equestria's life was hanging in the balance.
"Princess Celestia!!" Shouted her faithful student: Twilight Sparkle as she galloped in. "We came as soon as we read your letter." Following her were her friends, Pinkie Pie, Rainbow Dash, Rarity, Fluttershy, and Applejack. "What's going on?"
"Thank you my little ponies." Replied Princess Celestia, "This is of upmost importance."
"What is it Your Highness?" Questioned Rainbow Dash.
"I have heard reports of some strange disappearances in Ponyville. I've had some of my guards question some of the locals and they all say that their friends had treaded near The Everfree Forest before they were snatched by the creature that dwelled there. It is also more ominous that a majority of the disappearances are little fillies. I want you and your friends to search the forest and banish whatever mysterious phenomenon lurks there."
` Fluttershy was already trembling behind Rainbow Dash at the mere mention of The Everfree Forest. Rainbow Dash nuzzled Fluttershy closely to comfort her. Pinkie Pie and Rarity had looks of concern on there faces while the remaining two ponies and Rainbow Dash stood bravely for the Princess.
"Princess Celestia, you can count on us." Beamed Twilight Sparkle. "Together, we're unstoppable."
"I reckon this'll be a might dangerous fer us," Stated Applejack, "but I do 'ppretiate a good challenge."
"Yea lemme at that beast and I'll show 'im what for!" Declared Rainbow Dash.
"YOUR HIGHNESS!"
At that moment one of the guards flew in and whispered something into the princess's ear. The princess responded with a shocked expression and a slight pale look on her face.
"Oh my... it seems this monster abducted another. My guard here said he actually caught a glimpse of this monstrocity before it escaped into The Everfree Forest, and it seems to have the figure of a really tall pony in a suit. Hurry my little ponies, we have no time to lose!"
Without another word the ponies bolted their way to the door (with the exception of Pinkie Pie whom bounced to the door, and Fluttershy who was holding onto Rainbow Dash tightly, refusing to let go upon hearing their mission to search for a filly abducting pony).
Once all the ponies were on the train, Rainbow Dash interrupted the panting and wheezing with a curious question.
"Why in the hay does Princess Celestia never help us when there's a threat outside her castle?"
"I dunno, maybe she just has pressing matters to attend to." Stated Twilight Sparkle. Rainbow Dash had raised a valid point though and the six friends kept that thought in mind during the trip back to Ponyville and to The Everfree Forest.
The six friends had finally made their way to The Everfree Forest, where Fluttershy still refused to let go of Rainbow Dash, The six friends got shivers of anticipation and nervousness upon catching a glimpse of The Everfree Forest now knowing of the creature that dwelled there.
"Alright come on girls, we've been in this forest many times before, so it shouldn't scare us too much that there's a strange pony... er whatever it is waiting in this forest. We'll be able to take it down if we just stick together." Twilight Sparkle stated in a matter-of-fact tone.
The destined friends took not but two steps before Pinkie Pie had the biggest Pinkie Sense doozy that she had ever had before. The friends could only stare at Pinkie with wide eyes and a sense of doom and dread.
"Oh sweet, merciful Celestia..." Applejack managed to squeak, "that cayn't be a good sign."
"Come on girls, this may look grim, but I know we can do this if we just stick together." Stated Twilight Sparkle shuddering as she spoke.
The friends set aside their fears as much as they could, and set off into the forest.
The six friends could only hear the sound of their own hoofsteps, the sound of the wind blowing with the leaves rustling, and the sound of their own beating hearts. The warmth of the light emanating from Rarity's and Twilight Sparkle's horns only slightly comforted the rest of their friends. Rainbow Dash couldn't help but break the silence after wandering the forest from what seemed like forever to her, but in reality was only about fifteen minutes.
"Ugh, I wish this monster would just show up already so I could just kick his sorry flank already! SHOW YOURSELF YOU COWARD!!"
"P...P...P...Please don't yell so loud Rainbow Dash, you'll upset the pony in the suit." Squeaked Fluttershy.
"How do you know if he's actually a pony!? Maybe he's some some new race of tall monster ponies or something, and if this monster really just makes a living just by abducting little fillies, THEN IT DOESN'T DESERVE TO LIVE!!!" Replied Rainbow Dash.
"M...M...Maybe it just wants to m...m...make some f...f...f...friends?"
"Come on Fluttershy, that is such bullsh..."
Just then a nearby bush rustled moderately loud, and enough to make the ponies jump slightly.
"WHAZZAT, Whozzere!? GiiiiIIIRLS! What was that!?" Fluttershy said in a panic.
"Um, mah, maybe it was um... j..j..just a squirrel?" Replied Twilight Sparkle nervous as well.
"COME ON YOU BIG MEANIE GHOSTIE! I GOT A PARTY CANNON, AND I. AM. NOT. AFRAID. TO USE IT!!!" Pinkie boasted loudly.
"WHOA! I just saw im'!" Applejack claimed, "in that're direction!"
"Maybe you're just imagining things darling." Rarity stated strangely calm. "After all, this forest is quite dreadful and dark, not to mention quite damp and disgusting, bluugh." She was apparantly too obsessed with cleanliness that she was not too concerned with the situation.
"Ya know Rarity, sometimes you can be a big pain in the flank you stuck-up little bi..."
"eAgEr To DiE i SeE?..."
The mere sound of this creature's voice sent shivers up everypony's spines. The sound of the voice was a low tremor and sounded as if the creature's voice had been butchered open. A tall and slender figure appeared from the darkness, of which it had no facial features by the looks of it and was a pure white color. It wore a black suit with a red tie and an undershirt, the creature also seemed to not have a mane or a tail.
"Who, er, what are ya?" Applejack shakily asked.
"hMpH, sO tHiS iS wHaT tHe PrInCeSs DeCiDeS tO sEnD tO aTtEmPt ApPrEhEnD mE hMm? pAtHeTiC..." said the bright yet dark figure.
"Hey! Don't you underestimate us you monster!" Huffed Rainbow Dash.
"wHaT dO yOu EsPeCt tO dO yOu mIsErAbLe eXcUsE fOr a pEgAsUs?"
Rainbow Dash charged at the monster with a loud battle cry at near sonic rainboom speed. Just then the monster sprouted what seemed to be a black tentacle out of it's back. It dodged Rainbow Dash's charge with a simple sidestep and grabbed by her throat with it's tentacle, then lifted her up and smashed her down on the ground on her back. An occasional cough and hack could be heard from the struggling pegasus, tears streaming down her face.
"RAINBOW!!" Shouted the remainder of the group.
Rarity then took a leap forward. "Unhand her you BRUTE!!"
Rarity summoned a medium sized gem from the ground and hurled it at the beast with her magic. The slender figure hurled Rainbow Dash into a nearby tree head first and disappeared into the shadow before the gem could reach him. The slender figure then reappeared out of the shadow behind Rarity and, at lightning speed, grabbed the back of Rarity's head and smashed it into a nearby tree repeatedly. Applejack dashed at the beast and successfully bucked it in the face, causing the beast to let go of Rarity and stumble backwards slightly. Rarity landed with a thump in front of the tree face first. Applejack rushed to go help her friend until Rarity raised her right foreleg and stomped it hard on the ground. She forced herself to stand up and when she got up she stumbled slightly. Her hair was now fully down and slightly dirty, her left eye was now partially open and right eye closed. Her nostrils streamed blood slightly and Rarity was breathing heavily, not from exhaustion, but from anger boiling up in her being.
"You. Are. Dirt. You know that you incompetent brute?" Rarity's eyes shot open and her left eye then became enshrounded in darkness with a yellow catseye in the center. "It. Is. ON!"
A burst of energy and a slight violet aura could be seen emanating from the white unicorn. She rushed at the monster and let out a flurry of lightning fast foreleg blows.
"Rarity! Wait!" Applejack cried.
The slender figure blocked one of her high foreleg blows and countered with a foreleg punch to the gut causing Rarity to spurt some blood from her mouth. It then struck Rarity in the jaw with it's knee and sent her flying upwards. It then disappeared into the shadow and appeared above the flying Rarity and sent her like a rocket back down to Earth with a double foreleg strike to her head. The slender figure dropped to Rarity and picked her up by her neck with a tentacle and displayed the squirming unicorn to her friends.
The monster impaled Rarity directly through her heart with a large, sharp branch from a nearby tree, heart still beating and blood splattering everywhere. Rarity could only stare at her chest, she bled profusely from her chest and only slightly struggled to get free from the creature's grasp. Her friends were too frozen with fear to raise a hoof to help their dying friend. The creature then decided to force the sharpened branch through Rarity's body, attempting to carve something into her.
"Twi- wi- i- li- ght- help m- ee- e-" Rarity mustered to say as the monster ripped through her flesh with some difficulty.
"TWILIGHT DO SOMETHING!!" Screamed Pinkie in a panic.
Twilight snapped out of the shocked trance she was in and mustered the strength to summon a fireball from her horn and hurl it at the beast, landing in the beast's face, burning it's "flesh". The slender creature then stumbled backwards and screamed as it's "face" melted. Applejack rushed at the foul creature, blinded by tears and gave a hard foreleg punch to it's gut sending it flying towards a tree. It broke through a tree and slammed into the tree behind it.
Twilight and her friends rushed to their dying friend through tears and sobs. Twilight could only watch in horror as one her best friends was twitching and bleeding uncontrollably to death. The monster had carved an "S" into Rarity's body.
"Rarity... oh Celestia no..." Twilight knew how to heal wounds, but with Rarity's heart impaled and her body carved there was little Twilight could do at this point.
"Twilight...... am.... am I... going to die?" Rarity struggled to speak at this point. "I... I didn't even get... *cough* to show that I could be a real sister for Sweetie Belle truly. The poor darling, I'm so sorry darling, I wanted to take you on... a picnic... really..."
"Rarity hold on maybe I can..." Twilight began to sew Rarity back up after stuffing Rarity's heart back into her body and sewing the heart closed, but it was too late, she had sewn Rarity's body halfway until she could no longer feel her beating heart and could sense no life in Rarity.
"No... NO... no no no no NO NO NO!! I'm gonna kill you! YOU FIEND! WHAT IN TARTARUS'S NAME ARE YOU!?!?"
The slender figure slowly turned his head slowly towards the remaining five friends and exhaled.
"i aSsUmE sHe wAs iMpOrTaNt tO yOu hm? wELL yOu mAy cALL mE bY wHaT tHe lOcAlS cALL mE wHeN tHeY bEaR wItNeSs to my eXiStEnCe. yOu mAy cALL me, sLeNdErMaNe..."
Slendermane Vs. The Mane 6 Ch. 2: Super Rainbow "Danger" Dash
My mind was a jumbled mess at this point. I just watched one of my best friends get mutilated by this fucking monster and I didn't do a damn thing! What in Tartarus's name was wrong with me? Why was I frozen in fear like that? I should have been able to use that fireball spell to save Rarity sooner as soon as Slendermane grabbed her so why didn't I? Ooooh if Princess Celestia heard about this she would think I were a failure and banish me from Ponyville to the moon for sure...
Meanwhile, Rainbow Dash seemed okay after Applejack retrieved her from the tree she bashed her head into thanks to that monster, and she was ready to give this monster what for. It unnerved me, however, that this monster didn't even seem phased by the fact he was outnumbered by five ponies now. And what's this pony's deal? Why does he want to kidnap fillies? All I know is he's going to pay for murdering my friend, he will pay dearly.
"That was good catch, for an amateur" boast Rainbow Dash, "but a slowpoke move like that isn't going to stop this pegasus. I'm Rainbow Danger Dash, and this fight just became personal pal'. You and me, we're going to settle this now".
Slendermane just stood there staring blankly at the gloating pegasus before him who dare challenge him. He wasn't even taken aback by her statement at all, he just stood there with that same faceless expression.
"Too scared to take on THIS?" As she pointed what would be her biceps and flexed. "I'd be scared too if I were to take on this awesomeness."
Ugh, would she ever shut up?
"fOoL."
The two of them just stood there, standing each other down, trying to anticipate what move they were going to make next. I felt my heart drop after what felt like forever as the two stared each other down.
Rainbow Dash decided to make the first move, with a forehoof charge, Slendermane easily sidestepped the attack and jabbed Rainbow Dash in the gut with his tentacle causing her to hack up some blood, then followed up with a tentacle slap to the back of her head. She then flew to the ground face first and ate dirt. Rainbow Dash was getting irritated, so she charged at Slendermane with a fierce battle cry and a swift flying spinkick. Due to the attack being too slow though, Slendermane easily blocked it with his foreleg and countered with a swift foreleg punch to the face, then grabbed her hind leg with a tentacle and proceeded to slam her onto the ground repeatedly and threw her into a nearby tree, she slammed into it underbelly first. Visible gashes and blood could be seen covering Rainbow Dash, and was seemingly motionless when she suddenly lifted a foreleg that was fused with the tree. She pushed herself off the tree and was breathing heavily and her teeth were showing, almost as if she were snarling at Slendermane. I could tell she was pissed at this point.
"Hell no, you are not going to take ME DOWN. NOT THIS EASILY!!" Rainbow Dash let out a rainbow shockwave of aura, quoting an increase in power. She stood on her hind legs, forelegs limp and eyes closed. Her aura burst off of her at such an incredible velocity it caused us to flinch and really need to stand our ground, Fluttershy on the other hand had to grab hold of the ground and hold on for dear life as she was lifted off the ground.
Rainbow Dash's wounds had healed from her transformation where now scratches were visible. Her rainbow mane now flowed in the wind like a campfire and her body was a pure white, and her aura was now a rainbow spectrum of energy emanating from her being. She slowly opened her eyes and stared down Slendermane with a death defying gaze that could sort of compete with Fluttershy's stare.
"You may now call me, 'Super' Rainbow Danger Dash hehe."
Oh brother.
"Come ow-n Rainbow! Buck the hell out of that no good mother bucker!" Applejack cheered.
"Oh yea, I'm gonna beat the hell out of you, and I am going to kill you."
Rainbow Dash then teleported behind Slendermane with intense speed, and went for a roundhouse buck, but Slendermane countered with a shockwave of pure black aura. Rainbow Dash quickly recovered and teleported directly in front of Slendermane this time and gave a swift roundhouse buck to Slendermane's face. She continually kicked him in the face at lightning speed and finished off with a hind leg kick to the jaw and did a backflip afterwards. I suppose she wanted to do that move in style or something.
"HA! TAKE. THAT!" Rainbow Dash boasted hoofpumping in joy.
Rainbow Dash was too busy celebrating that she did not notice that Slendermane was getting back on his hooves and was prepping for another assault. He teleported in a cloud of shadow in front of Rainbow Dash which took her by surprise as she stared dumbfounded.
"mIsS mE?"
Slendermane launched Rainbow Dash into the air with a knee to the chest and blasted Rainbow Dash every which way with a flurry of attacks. Rainbow Dash regained her composure after a few blows and kicked Slendermane away. She decided to launch a huge wave of rainbow aura at Slendermane. It was seemingly engulfed in the aura, to Rainbow Dash's relief. Fatigued from releasing such a burst of energy, Rainbow Dash was panting in exhaust.
"Phew, hah... yea I guess that's that. That's why you don't mess with me!" Rainbow Dash.
Her celebration ended quickly when she felt a chill up her spine, she could sense it there.
"hAvE yOu eVeR bEeN aFrAiD bEfOrE?"
It hit Rainbow Dash with an overhead tentacle spike to the ground from the air causing her to land face first with an explosion of dirt on impact. She slowly tried to get back up, but not before her head was forcefully shoved back in the dirt. It held it's hoof firmly on her rainbow head. It was going to crush her head!
"NO!! RAINBOW!!" Applejack yelled in despair. "COME ON LET US HELP YOU!"
"NO!! THIS IS BETWEEN ME. AND HIM!" Rainbow Dash said struggling to get out of it's grasp.
It let out an ominous laugh. "i wIlL cRuSh yOuR hEaD lIkE a gRaPe."
"Screw it, I'M TAKIN' YOU DOWN!" Applejack screamed as she rushed at Slendermane.
It was noticable though that there were tears streaming from Rainbow Dash's face as Slendermane was crushing her head. Her head finally made a small rip and part of her skull cracked as she uttered her last word.
"help..."
Her head exploded with a mix of brain and skull and eyeballs. Applejack still charging at a very fast pace could only stare in horror as her friend's head was crushed.
"NOOOO! BUCK YOU! I'M GOING TO BUCKING KILL YOU!
Applejack rushed at Slendermane with a flurry of bucks and forehoof blows at which most were blocked and dodged. Applejack had let a pure hatred take over and her fury took over her better judgement at actually using any strategy. Her final blow seemed to hit air as Slendermane teleported behind her, and kicked her backside sending her flying. Slendermane followed up with a flurry of teleported kicks sending Applejack every which way. He finished it with a kick sending her high upwards. She slowly floated up there for a few seconds before Slendermane reappeared above her with a branch and put to her head. He then drove her down to the ground like a falling meteor. As they landed, the branch was impaled through her head causing bits and pieces of skull to fly from her head.
I put a forehoof to my muzzle and stared in complete horror as I looked at both Applejack and Rainbow Dash. They used to be the best of rivals and friends, and now their heads were both practically smashed by this thing and as they lay next to each other in a bloody mess. I could only imagine Applejack's anger as she was too slow to save Rainbow Dash, since I felt completely helpless to stop my friends from acting on impulse.
I looked at my two remaining friends, in which, no surprise, Fluttershy was cowering in fear behind Pinkie, and Pinkie was, um she was... oh wow she has the blankest stare on her face right now. That really took me by surprise how soul penetrating her stare was. It's like I've seen that stare before, but I can't put my hoof on it. My thought was cut short however as I noticed Slendermane was closing in on us. He raised his faceless head and uttered:
I shifted nervously as Slendermane approached us. There were now only three remaining: Pinkie Pie, Fluttershy and I; however it did not mean we were going to give up here and now. The situation was certainly grim, but I couldn't lose faith now, so I'm going to keep strong.
I sensed a sort of impending doom from seeing Slendermane get closer and closer. My heart dropped when I realized that he was not but ten feet away from us. I wanted to kill him, but when I looked at him, I froze in fear every time I tried to make a move. I was too frightened to do anything against him. At this point, I was hoping that Pinkie would make the first move. I felt terrible for hoping that my friends would protect me so I wouldn't have to do anything, but I really didn't want to get killed. Is this what I've brought myself to? Hoping my friends would protect me so that they would get killed first so I wouldn't have to fight a major threat right away? Not even lend a hoof to help? Abandoning all things friendship? I'm such a DAMN DISGRACE!
"ENOUGH."
That voice... it sounded so familiar yet not familiar at all. It was as if somepony very close just instantly changed into somepony that was completely different. A very different, dark, murderous spirit, bent on killing anypony that got in her way. This soul was filled with hatred and sadness, and only came out at the most grim of times (or at least was grim to her).
"Picking on somepony weaker than you? And you don't even try to face the pony that's a bigger threat than anypony here? Shame. I'll just have to end you myself. Know my name, because it's about the last thing you'll hear before you die. For it is..."
We could only call her:
"Pinkamena Diane Pie."
Pinkie stood on her hind legs and reached into her bouncy pink mane and pulled out two big butcher knives already stained with blood from Celestia knows what. When she did, her mane just all fell to the ground. She struck a stance to which I could only guess she learned from some member of the Pie Clan, and gave a death stare, still couldn't top Fluttershy, but still struck the soul.
"Let's dance fuckface."
Pinkamena dashed at Slendermane like a pink bullet. She gave a few swings at Slendermane before Slendermane started blocking with the same branch she killed Applejack with. There were a flurry of swings and a series of loud clangs following. Pinkamena seemed like she was trying to toy with Slendermane, and she seemed to be getting a little cocky. A dark smile slowly was growing on her face as Slendermane was bombarded with more knife swings. Pinkamena made some distance between them by delivering a quick reverse side hoof kick to his neck, causing it to fly and land on it's back. Pinkamena took a high leap and readied another attack.
"It's over asshole."
Pinkamena shot at Slendermane so fast a high pitched screech could be heard from her. 'SHIIIIIIIIIINNNNGG!!' Her knives seemed to echo through the whole forest for an eternity as she sliced the air in two. When Pinkamena looked back at the damage, she saw that it disappeared. She calmly took a stance and waited for any sound to be heard. Slendermane seemed to pop out of thin air directly in front of her. She sneered at him as she swung at him before he disappeared again in a cloud of shadow. It hit the side of her stomach with the branch from behind sending her flying. She got up to face him again when Slendermane appeared in front of her and again and prepared a quick branch swing to the face when he was interrupted by Fluttershy who tackled it out of the way. She looked furious as she breathed heavily, her pink mane now flowed and glowed like an pink ember and emanated a pink aura.
"Nobody, NOBODY hurts my friends you big, dumb, MEANIE!" She shouted as it echoed to the heavens above.
The two of them charged with perfect synchronization forming a horseshoe shape as they charged it's sides. They proceeded to exchange blow after slice after blow at the monster, making it fly back and forth like a game of tennis. Pinkamena finished it off by slicing off his head as it flew at her. It spewed black blood everywhere and now lay on the floor motionless. Pinkamena turned around to see her finished product and formed an enormous smile on her face as her mane exploded back to it's bouncy bright pink state. She crossed her forelegs across her chest, knives still in each hoof.
"Easy peasy." She meerly said.
"Yay." Fluttershy cheered.
Pinkie and Fluttershy, satisfied, trotted halfway to me before I realized Pinkie's knives were missing. I didn't see her place them back in her mane. I shrugged it off and figured it was just Pinkie being Pinkie again where she can just summon knives and make them disappear whenever. Oh well, I was just glad we finally slayed the thing. Well, them not me sadly, but at least it was dead at the cost of three friends.
"Dammit, who am I kidding I'm a buckin' failure." I said as I buried by snout into my hooves.
'SSHHHHIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIINNNNNNNGGGGGGG!!!!'
That impossibly loud sound echoed through the forest by what seemed like forever. I looked up, frantically scanning the source of the noise. We all searched franctically for the source. That's when I noticed Pinkie's neck start to split.
No.
Pinkie's head slid off her body and impacted the ground. Her lifeless body went limp and toppled over.
No no no no no no no.
I looked again as her body now lay in a pool of blood.
"NO NO NO NO DAMMIT NO!"
Fluttershy looked at the now decapitated Pinkie Pie with a face drained of color.
"FLUTTERSHY RUN TO ME!"
I rushed over to hopefully prevent whatever danger may still be lurking. It was then a dark figure snatched her up and she disappeared into the forest with her screams echoing throughout the forest.
My blood boiled, I was at my breaking point now, I couldn't save any of them, not a single buckin' one of them. I looked to see Slendermane standing in front of me with Pinkie's very knives covered and dripping with blood. AN ILLUSION, A BUCKING ILLUSION HOW COULD I LET SOMETHING LIKE THAT SLIDE, I SHOULD OF KNOWN SOMETHING AS BUCKING STUPID AS THAT WOULD BE BUCKING FAKE, BUCK THIS SHIT!!
"YOU KNOW WHAT, BUCK YOU, BUCK THE FOREST YOU LIVE IN, BUCK YOU THAT YOU HAVE NO FACE, BUCK YOUR SUIT, BUCK YOU PERIOD!!"
That was when I burst into flames the same time Pinkie admitted that the Hydra wasn't the doozy. I could barely see what I was doing but it was something along the lines of me burning the whole forest with supernovas. I was so furious I just wanted to destroy everything and hopefully burn the damn thing with me. I felt a sharp sting in my side as I felt the thing tackle me. I air recovered and I blasted fire in the direction it hit me from through tears and screams of sorrow. It felt like everything we did was useless, now matter how much friendship or power we possessed together, it was never enough. It smacked me upside the head with a tentacle and I flew to ground. I just lay there with my face in the ground, humiliated and shameful. I looked up to see it standing right in front of me as the forest burned to the ground. I flipped over and crawled backward slowly as it approached me slowly. My hoof slipped and my head impacted the ground. It now loomed over me with Pinkie's knives and held them to my face.
"dO yOu kNoW wHy lItTlE fIlLiEs aRe aFrAiD oF tHe dArK?"
My tears streamed down my face as I already knew the answer to it.
"iT'S bEcAuSe I cAn FiNd tHeM iN tHe dArK." It swung at my chest and I felt the sharp pain and the blood spurting out it like a fountain as my eyes rolled back into my head...
It was then I noticed I was on the floor of my own room. My chest was still in severe pain, and I noticed it bled a little from some cuts. I then looked over Spike who was jeered awake from something.
"Owwww Twilight, was that you who just landed on me?" Spike drowsily said to me.
"Oh Spike, thank Celestia! It was all just a horrible, horrible nightmare!"
"Geez Twilight, I'm always here you know. Let me take a minute to stretch, talk about a rude awakening."
"I gotta go gather all my friends right away, this is urgent!"
"What, something got you bugged Twilight? It's 4am." I dashed off in a scurry. "Hey wait for me Twilight!"
I gathered everypony in front my treehouse library. It was the break of dawn and everypony was swaying a bit and drowsy.
"What the hay Twilight, I'm usually just going to sleep by this time!" Rainbow Dash whined.
"Well ah reckon ah usually get up around this time, but if you can pardon my drowsiness, ahm kinda gettin' over ah hangover from last night's cider party."
"Listen everypony, I had a nightmare last night that made me realize that I really don't want you lose you, you are the best friends that a pony can ask for.'
"Twilight, did you play another horror game on the EquestriNET?" Rainbow Dash stated sourly. "I told you those games are crazy."
"Look, if we face another threat like the Black Sombra again but worse, I don't think we can handle it. We need to start training, and I want to spar with each of you every once in a while to see how you're progressing. That means you too Fluttershy!"
Fluttershy hid behind her hooves and squealed.
"Sounds like fun." Rainbow Dash pronounced. "But is this really all necessary?"
"I believe so, and I think I should have a talk with Princess Celestia too."
"Well alright darling, just stay calm then I'm sure the Princess will understand." Rarity stated.
"Yeah, and don't be a crazy pony like you are sometimes. Cause sometimes you can get really wacko." Pinkie stated.
I rolled my eyes. "Alright well so long everypony!"
Princess Celestia was chilling in her throne room eating a big chocolate cake when I found her. I explained the whole situation and my concern for everypony's safety.
"Ok." She flatly answered.
"So maybe, if it's not too much to ask, next time there's a major crisis happening across Equestria you or Princess Luna can come with us?"
She simply raised an eyebrow.
"I mean maybe Princess Luna can watch the castle for a day and it wouldn't be too much trouble?"
"My faithful student, I appreciate you're concern for the safety for Equestria and your friends. But you don't need to worry so much, and I'm sure whatever threat that is thrown at you isn't too much for you and your friends to handle."
"But will you at least consider my offer?"
"Hmmmm... sure."
"Thanks Princess, that means a lot to me. Well I'm off to get an early start so see you around Princess!"
"Farewell Twilight Sparkle."
I left her to her succulent looking chocolate cake to train with my friends. I was determined to make us the greatest defenders that Equestria had ever seen. Applebloom, Sweetie Belle, and Scootaloo were also really starting to show potential in their now teenage years. No cutie marks but they were still very skilled individuals. Together we would have the power to stop any threat coming our way.
