It was Princess Cadance that requested that she came. When she trotted through the doors, she found the pink alicorn waiting for her. “Hey Cadance! What did you want me for?” Pinkie smiled wide. “I need help preparing for the big ball, and I know you’re good at parties...” the young princess hinted. “That sounds like fun! I’d love to help!” Pinkie answered, excitement eminent in her voice. Cadance smiled at the pink mare. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ The changelings watched the the ponies, waiting to strike. “I’ll take Twilight Sparkle!” yelled one. “I’ll take Twilight Sparkle,” screeched Queen Chrysalis. The others announced the ponies they would take, and then they got to Pinkie Pie. “Where’s Pinkie Pie?” gasped the angry queen. “She was here earlier,” explained one of the changelings. “She went to see Princess Cadance!” blurted out another. The queen looked at the changeling with an enraged expression on her face. “Why didn’t you tell me earlier?” The changeling began to cower. “Now go attack!” The small army buzzed off, and in a few minutes had all of the ponies in captivity. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Spike bursted through the large doors of the castle. “Hi Spike!” Pinkie ran towards the small dragon and squeezed him. His green eyes became very large and his cheeks became a bright red, “Oh! Sorry Spike! Why’d you come all the way here?” “Queen...Chrysalis... took...everypony...” Pinkie’s eyes widened. “Everypony?!” “Just Twilight, Applejack, Rainbow, Rarity, and Fluttershy.” Pinkie’s jaw dropped. “I need the Cutie Mark Crusaders right now!” screeched Pinkie. She turned to the Princess. “Sorry Cadance! I’ll help you as soon as I get everypony back. Then they can help, too!” Pinkie ran out the doors with Spike, leaving Cadance by herself. The young princess sighed and walked off. She might as well get started. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ “Tell me more!” demanded the pink mare, “I need to know more!” She glared at Spike like she did on her last birthday, making him extremely uncomfortable “Um... well. Queen Chrysalis and a few other changelings grabbed them in their sleep and stuffed them in a bag. Then they flew that way.” Pinkie’s eyes followed the direction of Spike’s extended claw. It led to a giant mountain, far off in the distance. Pinkie gulped. She didn’t want to venture deep into the Everfree Forest and climb the most dangerous mountain in all of Equestria, but she had to save her friends. “Let’s go Spike!” she started running, but abruptly stopped “We should probably get the Cutie Mark Crusaders first. We’re going to need their help.” She got two tickets for the train and waited a few moments to come into the station. Then, with haste, she boarded, the purple dragon close behind her. > Pinkie Pie the Hero Chapter 2 > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- As soon as the train stopped in Ponyville, Pinkie practically flew out of the train car. She sprinted all the way across town and into Sweet Apple Acres, where their clubhouse was located. Shoving the door open, she found the Crusaders on the floor, huddled together over a piece of paper and discussing things. “Girls!” The young ponies jumped at Pinkie’s sudden appearance. “I’m going to need your help!” “What’s the problem?” Sweetie Belle asked, expecting to be asked to help her make cupcakes. But that wasn’t her reply. “Queen Chrysalis is back!” The fillies’ eyes widened, but let Pinkie continue. “She took Applejack, Rarity, Rainbow, Twilight, and Fluttershy. We need to venture deep into the Everfree Forest and climb the most dangerous mountain in all of Equestria to save them! Please help me, I can’t do it alone!” Pinkie wasn’t using her normal energetic voice, which confused the fillies. They agreed, Sweetie Belle and Apple Bloom rather hesitantly, and started packing for their long adventure. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ “Um...Chrysalis? Why did you... um... take us away from home? I need to feed Angel,” stuttered Fluttershy in a scared tone. “Who cares about your dumb little rabbit?” screamed the changeling queen at the frail pegasus. Fluttershy cowered at the monstrosity of the queen’s voice. “Hey! Be nice to her! How would you like it if--” The queen smacked her hoof over Rainbow Dash’s mouth. “How would I like it if what? What could a little pegasus like you do to me? Throw a pebble?” The queen laughed at her incredibly lame joke. Rainbow Dash rolled her magenta eyes. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ The four ponies walked towards the entrance of the Everfree Forest. Sweetie Belle stopped just before the entrance. “What’s wrong Sweetie Belle?” Apple Bloom inquired with concern. “It’s just, it’s dangerous in there,” Sweetie Belle responded, shivering. “It’s not as bad as it seems. It’s just... um... dark?” Apple Bloom comforted, blurting out the first thing that popped in her mind. Sweetie Belle didn’t move an inch. “Ugh! It’s just dark? How is that supposed to make her feel better?” Scootaloo grimaced, questioning Apple Bloom’s poor attempt at comforting the unicorn filly. “It’s just the first thing I thought of, okay? I didn’t know what to say!” Apple Bloom pouted. Scootaloo rolled her eyes. Pinkie walked up to Sweetie Belle and sat down next to her. As she consoled the filly, Apple Bloom and Scootaloo continued to argue. “Come on. Please?” Pinkie begged. Sweetie Belle finally stood up and followed the others. After walking for what seemed like hours, they came to a tall mountain. “Is this where we need to be?” asked Sweetie Belle, feeling a tad better than she did earlier. Pinkie nodded her head and began to walk forward. The others followed slowly. Halfway up the mountain, it began to rain. At first it was just a few small drops, but then it rained so hard you couldn’t see two inches in front of you. Sweetie Belle looked to her left and saw an opening. “Let’s go in here!” she called. The others spotted her and followed. The opening belonged to a large cave. The group trotted a bit deeper in. It was rather dank, and completely empty. Pinkie looked around and saw an unusual rock. When she picked it up, the wall on her left came up. “Woah!” she shouted. The now open wall lead to a long hallway. On the walls of the hall, there were large crystals. The three fillies stared in awe. Pinkie began to run down the hall, not thinking about what may be waiting for her on the other side. “Pinkie! Wait up!” Scootaloo yelled towards the mare. There was no response. The fillies had no choice but to follow her. Pinkie finally stopped and waited for them at a wooden door. When they finally caught up to her, she attempted to open the door. No such luck. “Uh.. Pinkie?” Apple Bloom was pointing to a button on the wall. ”There’s a button.” Pinkie pushed the button, not thinking of any consequences, and stepped back. The wide doors opened and Pinkie saw Twilight standing on the far side of the room. Twilight was beckoning for Pinkie and the fillies to come forward. They ran forward. As they stood in front of Twilight, green flames surrounded them. Pinkie immediately knew what was going on. This isn’t Twilight, it’s Queen Chrysalis! Pinkie thought. Pinkie closed her eyes, scared of what was going to happen and began to scream with the Crusaders. When she opened her eyes again, she wasn’t where she was earlier. She didn’t even know where she was. “Pinkie! Where are you?” Sweetie Belle asked frantically, searching for a sign of her pink friend. "Oh no," Apple Bloom gasped, "We lost Pinkie Pie!" > Pinkie Pie the Hero Chapter 3 > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- Pinkie opened her eyes and looked around the dim cave she found herself in. Water was dripping from the walls and there was a musty smell hanging in the air. “Pinkie? Pinkie?” Apple Bloom called. Pinkie couldn’t move. Her legs were numb from being asleep for as long as she was. “There you are!” the yellow filly cried. The crusaders ran towards the mare and tackled her in a tight hug. Pinkie attempted to stand again, but with no luck. The fillies had to help her. “What’s wrong, Pinkie?” Scootaloo asked after the mare was to her feet. Pinkie explained briefly the cause of her numbness. The fillies nodded their heads, tossing the matter aside. “Where are we supposed to go?” Sweetie Belle inquired worriedly. “Where are we?” “I have no idea,” Pinkie sighed. “Considering Chrysalis’s abilities, we could be anywhere.” Pinkie kicked a rock in her distress, and it hit the wall in front of her. The wall shattered into thousands of fragments, making an audible crashing noise. Pinkie’s eyes widened in surprise. “RAINBOW DASH!” Scootaloo cried. She sprinted towards Rainbow, squeezing her like there was no tomorrow. Pinkie smiled and trotted towards the blue pony. “Where are the others?” she asked, deciding to immediately get to the point. She was hoping that they were somewhere close by. Dash just shrugged. “I have no idea. I made it farther than they did. We split up after escaping,” she informed. The others nodded solemnly. “We should probably get out of here. I think I know the way.” Everypony followed her through the dim tunnels of the large cavern. Finally they arrived to an opening high up on the wall. “How are we supposed to get up there?” Sweetie Belle frowned. “We can’t fly.” Rainbow bit her lip in thought. “I could fly you guys up,” she offered. The other ponies seemed a bit wary, but agreed. First she flew up the fillies, followed by Pinkie Pie. “Of course! More caves!” Sweetie Belle screamed, causing rocks to fall everywhere. The other crusaders glared at her. “Uh, oops?” They trudged on aimlessly. Apple Bloom sighed. “These caves just keep going on and on! We have no idea where we’re heading!” Apple Bloom plopped on the ground. Tears were streaming down her pale yellow face. Rainbow searched the cave. “Hey guys!” Rainbow called. Apple Bloom’s head flew up. “I found a way out! I see trees off in the distance!” She started to run towards the entrance. The others followed closely behind. Rainbow stopped suddenly, and Pinkie smashed right into her. “What’d you stop for?” Pinkie looked in front of them. “Ohhh.” Right before them lay a chasm too wide to cross. “How are we supposed to cross this? Rainbow seems far too tired to fly us across,” Pinkie reasoned. Rainbow nodded. Everypony shifted their gaze to Sweetie Belle. “What am I supposed to do?” she asked after a few moments of the others awkwardly staring at her. “I don’t have wings!” Pinkie nodded. “But you do have a horn. Maybe you can use your magic to form a path with the fallen rocks.” Pinkie smiled. “I can try,” Sweetie Belle admitted. She focused on the rocks around her. Eventually, a green aura formed around her horn. The rocks slowly formed a path. She smiled. “I can’t believe I did it!”. They ran across and stepped out of the opening. They saw a bright light before them and squinted to see the form of the pony in front of them. “Oh my gosh!” squeaked Sweetie Belle. “Is that who I think it is?”
