Twilight was going through some tapes at Pinkie's house, it was a mess and she needed the evidence Pinkie was claiming. She found some tapes and brought them back. she stuck one in the VCR and started watching and then it began.


"Is this recording?" Pinkie Pie asked into the camera. "Oh it is. Hi, I am Pinkie Pie if you don't know, I have been seeing unusual activity around my house, yesterday, I went downstairs to get to work and there was a HUGE mess in the kitchen, at first, I assumed, that somepony broke in and created a mess, but then the register was still full and nothing was stolen. The window was broken, and I went out and saw hoof prints that stopped after a few steps in the mud. The owners nearly killed me, they were really steamed that I didn't stop the pony who came to rob the place, even though the register was still full. This morning, my room was a mess, and it seemed some things were missing. Again, my window was broken and there were muddy hoof prints on the roof that stopped after about three steps. I tried to tell my friends this, but all of them except for one didn't believe me. Dashie believed me and even made a promise to stay with me to see this activity." The video stopped there, then played again, this time, it was nighttime, a wood board covered the broke window and Rainbow Dash was with Pinkie. Pinkie got up and showed some traps she set up, like a mousetrap at the step of the door, along with powdered sugar at the foot of the door. "I set up this door trap, Dashie is setting up window traps, and we are going to record the night. Dash set up a place to sleep on the floor, looks like she's asleep now." Pinkie set up the camera in the corner of the room pointing at the door, looking at Pinkie's bed and dash, sleeping on the ground. For a few hours nothing happened, the only noise heard was Dash snoring happily on the floor, and the occasional wing flapping. Twilight fast forwarded through the tape until 2:17 A.M.

At 2:17, banging could be heard, and then the door opened, and the mousetrap started floating, four hoof prints were imprinted in the powdered sugar and walked to the sleeping Dash, some powdered sugar got on the hoofs, making a trail and the mouse trap was placed next to Dash, it walked to a window, took all the mousetraps, put them all next to Dash  and it broke a window and everything stopped, neither Pinkie or Dash heard any of the activity. Then the tape went black for about an hour, Twilight fast forwarded it again, then at 3:31 A.M. Screaming was heard and the camera was back on. Pinkie turned a light on and Dash was grabbing her back and wings, she flopped on the mousetraps. "Dashie, are you okay?" Pinkie asked. Dash, looked at Pinkie and said, "If I had mousetraps all over me, no!" Pinkie went to the camera and said, "We Got it all on Camera! We got!" She took the camera and followed Dash to the bathroom, removing the mousetraps from her wings, back, and tail. She was bleeding a little bit at the right wing and she bandaged it right up. They went back to the doorstep and looked at the hoof prints in the sugar and the broken window. "When will that ghost stop bugging me? Pinkie then sat and said, "Well me and Dashie watched the footage on the camera, we saw the mousetraps floating and the prints, trail, and the broken window. "This is getting WAY TOO REAL FOR ME!" Dash added in, nursing her wing that landed on the mousetrap. "This is just the first day, and you want to QUIT?" Pinkie asked. Dash said, "If it endangers me, YES!" Pinkie produced a frown of disappointment. "If you insist Dashie." Dash, feeling saddened by Pinkie's answer, said, "Oh, alright, I'll stay. But let's try to get some sleep, we need it." The camera stopped recording. Twilight took the tape out of the VCR and put it back on the box. She went to the door and a newspaper was sitting there. She used her magic and picked up and threw it on a table, It was a Canterlot Daily Tribune, one of the articles on the front page said:


Pinkie Pie pleas insanity for murder of Rainbow Dash
 

Twilight read the article, shocked about the case and continued reading, "How can the lawyers, even Canterlot's finest, not believe her? I have the evidence right here!" She thought, "I know, I'll bring it in court and prove her innocence!" She thought again. The article said:

Pinkie Pie wants to plea insanity for the murder of Rainbow Dash. Dash, of Cloudsdale was found dead in Sugarcube corner in Ponyville, her neck was broken and a knife was in her throat.  Pinkie is the main suspect Dash's death. She keeps claiming a violent spirit killed Dash and has video evidence, but the judge doesn't want to hear it, even though the DA says they should review the tapes for their authenticity. Pinkie Pie today, chose to plea insanity, if found guilty, she would be sent to a mental asylum. If she pleas guilty, she would probably face life in prison without parole, at the Equestrian Mare's correctional facility, south of Ponyville. "She is guilty, but doesn't want to show it." The lawyer representing Dash's family said. Pinkie's lawyer did't have any better to say. "She is innocent, but we need those tapes." He said. Judge Haywen, the judge covering the case refuses to see the tapes because they might be just another prank, "Trying to waste our time." He said to the Tribune outside the Canterlot courthouse. 


Twilight grabbed another tape to continue the evidence, and the plot out how to prove her innocence, she just saw one video, but it was possibly enough to prove innocence.
