> Rage of Broly > by chaos2012 > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- > Coming of the monster > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- It was a bright and peaceful day in the land of Equestria. The rolling green fields and beautiful blue sky shined under the large sun that overlooked the vast world. While most of the realm was open and undeveloped land, multiple towns and cities were set throughout. Some towns were small and simple, and then some were large cities. The largest and most elegant of all of the communities in Equestria was the city of Canterlot. The clean and colorful streets were bustling with ponies as they trotted to their destinations of shopping or simply engaging in casual talk with their peers. Set above the city was the great castle that stood as the home for the royal princess's that ruled over Equestria. The massive white palace gleamed under the rays of light, causing it to give off a magnificent glow to all that saw it. It was a place of tranquil peace and organization, but today was a rare exception. Standing outside of the large doors to the royal courtroom stood several guards draped in their standard golden armor. On normal occasions, the soldiers were always out on their standard, usually useless scouting patrols, but for the last six hours, the four soldiers had been waiting there after what they had seen earlier. Small talk broke out between the confused ponies. "What do you think they have been doing in there?" "They have not come out once since then, not to mention they haven't asked for anything." "I don't understand; she just froze in the middle of talking, and then suddenly took off and locked herself in there." Earlier that morning, the elder of the two royal sisters, Princess Celestia, was outside with the royal guards as she gave them a speech on upcoming events that were to take place in the city. In the middle of talking, however, she tensed up for some reason. Her eyes went wide to many of the guards surprise, and then the princess suddenly turned and ran back towards the palace. Expecting that something wrong had happened, the platoon of soldiers followed after her, only to be ordered away by the younger sibling to the sun goddess, Princess Luna. The two alicorns then walked into the courtroom and shut the door behind them. After six hours, neither princess had exited the room. From below, a white unicorn covered in purple armor trotted up the steps to where the four ponies were standing. The moment they saw him, they all immediately snapped out of their talks and stood at attention, "C-captain. I... Didn't know you were coming back." one of them stammered out. Shining Armor casually approached the four ponies. On normal days he would have taken action for seeing the soldiers standing around, but he chose to allow it to slide due to the circumstances, "At ease." With that order, the four loosened up from their locked position. Shining walked up to them and looked up to the towering doors behind them. He was also curious to what the royal sisters were doing, for he saw the very peculiar behavior as well. Never once in all of the years of serving under Celestia had he seen her with such a look in her eyes; not even the return of Discord or the Changeling invasion invoked what he saw. Fear. He took his eyes off the oak doors and gazed back to the guards, "They haven't come out once?" "No sir." they all said in unison. Turning back, he glared toward the palace, 'Thats it, I'm gonna find out what they are doing.' he thought to himself. Walking up to the large wooden obstacles in his way, he used his magic to unlatch the bolts that kept the dual doors together. Slowly opening them, he took quiet steps into the great hall. The royal courtrooms bright stained windows cast its colorful glows to the long red carpet that led down to the two thrones at the end of the golden room. To the left was an alicorn with a deep blue coat and flowing blue mane and tail. Shining immediately recognized her as Princess Luna. The figure to the right was of a larger stature due to older age. The alicorns white coat glistened like freshly fallen snow. Her long mane of pink, green and blue hues sparkled as it gently flowed out from her. Princess Celestia and Her younger sister Princess Luna were just as beautiful as they always were, but something strange surrounding them caught the captains eye; a strange, rotating green orb of magic encircled the princesses, the color due to their blending magic flowing from their horns. Both of them were unaware that he had entered the room, their eyes clenched shut from concentration. Shining Armor slowly took a deep breath, now unsure if he wanted to disturb them from whatever they were doing. After contemplating it for a few moments, he made his decision, "Uhh, ahem... Princess?" No response. "Me and some of the other guards were a little concerned if there was something wrong. Is there anything we can do that can assist you?" Celestia's eyelids crept open, revealing her bloodshot eyes, "Leave us." The tone in the command she gave was enough to Send a cold chill down the captain's spine. Not wanting to bother them anymore, he dropped into a low bow, then quickly left and shut the doors behind him, leaving the two alicorns alone once again. Celestia did not want to reenter the vision spell that they had been engaged within for the day, but she knew she had to see what was happening. For the past several days, there had been powerful readings of energy that had surged through the depths of space. It was of a power not native to Equestria, for it belonged to a bipedal alien who seeked destruction to all those around himself. But the reading the princess sensed today was different, it was much more powerful than than any energy she had ever felt. Closing her eyes once again, she returned to the battle across the galaxy that she and her sister had been watching the whole time. The disintegrating planet was the spot where two aliens of the same race battled to the death; one was the being that the sisters had sensed, and the other was one who was pure of heart, trying to stop the destruction caused by the evil one. The two sisters winced as they witnessed the cold hearted monster continue to pummel the smaller warrior to the ground. Luna opened her eyes momentarily to turn to her sister, "Tia, I don't think he can last much longer." Celestia grimaced at hearing those words, but she knew it was true, "He can't give up, Luna, he is the only one there that can stop him." "His body will give out at this rate." Luna Sadly stated. Celestia didn't answer back; she concentrated on the golden haired warrior that was covered in bruises all over his body as he struggled to stand on the destroyed battlefield. If possible, she would have funneled her own energy to him to help defeat the other alien, whose towering body was seemingly unscratched. 'Please don't give up...' she thought to herself, '...you’re the only one that stands between him and the rest of the universe. If you fail, he will destroy every planet in his wake... Including ours.' Despite her hopes, it seemed impossible for the one she supported to come out victorious. 'Don't give up Goku.' ------------ Across the galaxy, a small planet was the battlefield for two powerful warriors. Down within an enormous rock valley, a bipedal being pulled himself out of the rock wall that he had just been crushed into. A glowing yellow aura surrounded him as he stood back up. His golden hair stuck up due to the energy level he possessed; the level of super saiyan. Goku struggled to keep his balance as he took a step forward. His top half to his orange gi had been completely torn off from the many attacks he had taken. Blood slowly trickled out of the many cuts all over his battered body. It felt as he was going to drop dead at that very moment from everything he had been hit with, but there were others helping him. Miles away within a destroyed city, four other beings Laid beaten on the ground. Three of them were funneling what energy they had across the landscape to Goku to give him more power. These included Piccolo, a green alien known as a namekian, and two half Saiyan and half human beings, Trunks and then the teenage son of Goku, Gohan. The final one, however, was too shaken and stubborn to give away his power. He was the prince of the dwindling race of Saiyan beings, Vegeta. His exhausted body laid in the mix of broken rubble. He telepathically talked across the landscape to Goku, "it's no use Kakarot..." he said, still calling him by his birth given name, "... This is a fight we just can't win." Back at the battle, a gigantic super Saiyan glared down to Goku from the cliff he stood on. At eight feet tall, Broly didn't even seem like a physically possible being his body was engorged with muscles that stuck out to unreal lengths. His biceps alone were forty inches around. His strange appearance was due to the unstable power that he harbored inside of his body ever since he was born. After all the attacks that he had dealt to Goku, he was frustrated that he just didn't quit. "Your persistence is annoying!" Broly grunted as he flew off from his spot and crushed Goku back into the rocks before he had time to dodge. Laughing menacingly, the titanic Saiyan hopped back several steps and shot a large green ki blast at his dazed opponent. Vegeta could sense everything that was happening between the two fighting miles away, then he heard the scream of Goku echo through the air. Despite knowing that his ally was dying, he was too arrogant to help, "Why should I, a prince, give a subordinate my power!" he said through gasps of pain from his body. Goku's voice appeared inside of his head through energy communication, "Just give me all of your power Vegeta and I'll defeat him!" Using pure power of will, Vegeta slowly stood up from the ground and stared in the direction of where Goku was. Then, he heard the voices of the others pleading him to help. "Father." Trunks begged. "Vegeta!" Piccolo yelled. "Please, just do it." Gohan groaned. "No!" Vegeta screamed out. Goku could not believe how not even Vegeta's own son couldn’t get through to him, "Vegeta, I need your power. VEGETA, MORE POWER...RIGHT NOW!" he bellowed out into the air. Vegeta just stared into the sky, his arrogance too big to want to help, "I am a prince, the prince of all Saiyans, why should I give my power to a Saiyan that ranks below me. Tell me, tell me WHY!" ---- Luna and Celestia felt as if something cold had seized both of their hearts; they could not believe that this single Saiyan was jeopardizing the very existence of the entire universe. If something didn't happen quick, their world would end up as Broly’s target sooner or later. ---- Goku was being rocked by a barrage of blows to his stomach by Broly's enormous fists. His screams of pain were ear splitting, but were still overshadowed by the cracking and crumbling mountain behind him. The rock was being split from the sheer force of his body being forced against it as Broly continued to attack the battered warrior. Once his body broke through the other side of the mountain, Goku felt himself fly backward and crash into another mountain face. Being too tired to move, he couldn't evade as Broly rushed forward and knocked him farther into the stone. Broly smirked and floated several feet back in the air, "You've lasted longer than I expected, but your final hour has arrived." Goku gasped for air as he sat up from his wedged position, "Vegeta, what are you waiting for, your our last hope. Give me your POWER!!!" he screamed at the top of his lungs out into the sky. Vegeta grimaced, but knew it was the only way, "Fine, take it, but Kakarot, finish him now!" he lifted his arm and felt the rush of energy leave his body. Goku immediately felt the rush of power enter his body, seemingly eliminating the pain over him. Lifting his arm, he blocked the incoming punch of Broly. He then charged up all of the power he had inside of his body, destroying a large portion of the mountain behind him. "What?" Broly said, backing away from the mountain, "Where is he getting all this energy?" "Your hour has arrived." Goku stated as he lifted himself into the air. Back in the city, the four warriors felt the last of their energy flow to Goku. Vegeta grimaced as he fell backward, "Don't think this changes anything." "Get him Goku." Trunks said before he passed out. "Take him out... Father." Gohan said before his mind went blank. Broly then realized what was happening, causing him to laugh, "Ha ha ha, no matter how much energy you get from those idiots, it won't be enough to kill me!" he yelled out as he charged his power once again. "He, we'll see about that. You'll never know until I try." The ground around them was breaking apart not from the energy they were putting off, but from the approaching comet that dwarfed the planet. The giant blue rocks intense gravity was ripping the small world apart as it crept through space. Despite the fact that death was approaching them, neither warrior would dare flee, for they were set on ending the life of the other. In a split second, both of them rushed through the air at each other, both drawing their fists back to strike. Broly went first, his gargantuan arm heading straight for Goku's face. Goku simply ducked under the arm, continuing forward, "Now the real fight begins." Broly’s eyes went wide as he felt a fist drive into his stomach. He gasped as he felt pain for the first time in the entire day. His mind was screaming at what was happening, 'Impossible. I can't be beaten!' Goku glared as he pushed his fist deeper into Broly’s stomach; he thought back to all of the innocent lives Broly killed on this planet, how he tried to kill his friends and his son. He couldn't forgive the monster that crazy Saiyan was. "I'm not gonna let, YOU GET AWAY WITH THIS!" Goku pushed forward and ripped a chunk out of his targets stomach. Broly screamed out as he felt his blood pouring out of the open wound. Then, he felt something inside of him growing; his energy was becoming too unstable inside of his body to control, and now had a place to escape. He felt as if his body suddenly exploded as his energy was released. ---- Celestia and Luna cast large grins at what they just saw; the destructive monster Broly had been defeated. Their hearts fluttered with excitement knowing that their world was now safe. They continued to watch as Goku quickly gathered his comrades and teleported off of the planet before the comet could destroy them. Seeing there was nothing more to see, they deactivated the spell that they had been using, allowing a wave of relief to wash over their exhausted bodies. Luna turned to Celestia with an enormous smile across her face, "Tia, he did it." "Yes, he did it." Celestia responded. she slowly got up from her throne and looked out of the window toward the sky. It seemed all of the fear that had enveloped her had fallen away. "Thank you Goku." And with that, the two alicorns left the throne room and entered the warm sun of their peaceful world. ---------- Across the galaxy, Comet Camori had almost completely destroyed the small planet entirely. Monstrous craters formed across the surface of the planet from the gravity that was being emitted by the comet that dwarfed the small world. All life had either escaped or been killed; except for one. Crawling across the ground, Broly gasped for air as the rocks crumbled around him. His super Saiyan form had been deactivated, causing his body to shrink back to its original six foot height. His muscles dwindled from their gorged size back to smaller but still defined state. His hair had also lost its spike gold look, for it was now black and fell against his back. He used every bit of strength he had left to pull his battered body across the dirt. "K-Kakarot..." he growled through his gasps, "...you will not kill me." he pulled himself up and staggered between steps. He knew he was too weak to fly, and he only had a few minutes to escape before the comet destroyed the planet. Struggling on, he found the hidden space pod that was stored behind a cliff. Approaching the round, gray ship, he hit the button on the side, causing the oval shape door to slide open with a small hiss. He collapsed onto the small seat which barely fit him and hit the automatic takeoff button. The door closed behind him, leaving the small round red window as the only view outside. The rockets in the back of the pod erupted in bright flames as it lifted the ship of the crumbling ground. Flying through the air, the small aircraft pushed through the atmosphere and out of the pull of gravity just as the comet began to crash into the surface of the planet. Broly struggled to stay awake as he turned to the computer navigation, "So, *huff* Kakarot, your world is Earth. He he, how about I visit and- Ahh!" The pain inside of him caused him to cripple over. A stream of blood came up his throat and exited his mouth. His mind went blank and fell back into the seat, his body slipping into a coma. Without a directional input to follow, the ship simply flew into the darkness of space in a straight line. There was a chance that it could go on forever through the cold vacuum. It could have collided with a stray asteroid floating abound. There was also the slim chance that it could land on a certain planet lying in its path. > Three Weeks Later > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- Princess Celestia quietly sat inside of her throne room before Several other nobles from the High Council; they had been discussing many of the problems that were spread throughout the kingdom. Her mind was becoming mentally exhausted from the constant arguing between the four unicorns before her. A light green unicorn stood up to clarify his point, "Look, I am just saying that Cloudsdale should not be given any more funding until they are able to meet the cloud quota." "What kind of accusation is that to make, Baseline?" a black unicorn said, her silver mane shimmering in the dim room. "It's not an accusation, Storm Runner. I have the proof." Baseline's horn began to glow, levitating his file he had by his side, "This is the cloud report from the factory itself; according to this, the production of cumulous clouds is down by twenty two percent." Celestia frowned; Baseline was always the one of the four to bring up something that was not going perfect, whether it be the clouds were giving off too much rain or if the train engines had been malfunctioning at improper times. One time he even tried to make it a point when she was two minutes late to lifting the sun. 'The audacity of him...' she thought to herself, 'I had my reasons for that morning. What does he know of raising a sun up into the sky?' "Just forget about the stupid clouds. We have much more important problems to deal with than that." Storm yelled out. "Oh, like what?" Baseline asked with a sarcastic tone. "Perhaps the dragon located near Los Pegasus is something of a big deal." answered a bright magenta mare. Baseline's eyes went wide at hearing that, "A dragon? When did this happen?" "About two days ago. Citizens began reporting smoke pouring out of the top of a local mountain." Celestia sat up, causing the four around the small table to go quiet, "This dragon isn't planning on resting from what they have seen. It seems to want to make this a nest. Do you have an idea of how to remove the dragon?" Storm glanced around to the others, waiting to see if any of them wanted to speak up. When none of them began, she cleared her throat and looked up to Celestia, "We can always try to coax it out by offering it a small amount of rubies." Baseline rolled his eyes at hearing that, "Rubies? You shouldn't have to bribe the stupid beast to leave land that doesn't belong to it." Storm glared over at him, "Ok then, what would be your genius approach to making it leave the mountain top?" "Force, that is how you get it out." Celestia frowned at the idea, "You suggest that we threaten the dragon to get out of our land?" "Princess, with all do respect, it is what should be done. You yourself could fly out there and talk to it. If it refuses, you could just blow it up." Celestia felt an icy chill run through her body at those last words; they were too recently used by a being who still haunted her thoughts and-. "Princess?" Snapping out of her trance, Celestia noticed the four others in the room staring at her with concern. She took a moment to shake her head clear, "I-I'm sorry, but I am not feeling too well. This meeting is dismissed." Confused looks we're given between the four unicorns in the room. Not wanting to question the orders of the princess, they gathered up their belongings and gave a slight bow before they trotted off towards the large door at the end of the room. After all four were gone, a yellow aura enveloped the doors, forcing them to shut together. After the council left, Celestia sat quietly for several minutes in the room alone, her body still shaking from the sudden remembrance of the one who could have come and destroyed her home. She closed her eyes, doing away for the image of the tall bipedal figure, his solid white eyes staring with an intent to kill. His name rang inside of her head over and over. Broly. Her thoughts went back to the vision that she and her sister watched; Broly stood before a large group of trembling alien slaves below a large cliff. He chuckled as he looked up into the sky at their small planet, before charging up a powerful ki blast and throwing at the group. She watched as the blast swerved up at the last moment and travelled up into the sky, destroying the former home of the slaves. "Oops, did I just blow it up?" That was all Broly said before laughing at the despair of the poor creatures. Celestia opened her eyes once again, bringing her back to the empty throne room. Taking several deep breaths, she stood up and walked over to the windows overlooking the city of Canterlot. Broly's defeat was three weeks ago, but the princess couldn't help but feel that something was still wrong; not one week after they saw him killed, Celestia felt another powerful energy reading in another portion of the galaxy. She was alone at the time, and wasn't able to visually see what was happening, but she could tell that it was a clashing force, and it wasn't Broly. Whatever that strange power she sensed was, it had disappeared. That did nothing however to take her mind off what was troubling her. She walked away from the window and started towards her personal chambers. She did want to rest her head. "Broly is dead. He has to be." --------- Miles away from Canterlot, a small town sat at the edge of the Everfree forest. Rows of small, colorful buildings were spread throughout the community of Ponyville. Ponies walked around the market, trying to complete whatever errands they had to do before the shops closed in the fading light of the evening. Towards the center of the town, a large tree stood out among the many buildings; installed throughout the trunk were multiple windows and porches, leading to the interior of the Ponyville library. Inside the usually organized library, piles of novels and different encyclopedias were strewn across the floor. Scuffling through the piles, a purple unicorn searched for the one thing that she needed for the spectacle tonight. Her purple mane with a magenta streak was a mess from scrambling for the last forty minutes. After the most recent pile she had sifted through was unsuccessful, she turned her attention up the stairs to the second floor, "Spike, I need you to find me that book!" The door at the top of the stairs cracked open, revealing the frowning face of a small purple dragon, "Twilight, I told you already, it's on the second bookcase, third shelf up and ninth book to the right." Twilight looked up to the shelf where he told her, and sure enough, it was right there. Levitating it off the shelf with her magic, she brought it down to face level, "Guide to local comets and meteors of Equestria. Perfect." she smiled for the first time in a while that night, "thanks Spike." Spike just gave out frown before turning to walk back in the room he was just in. Twilight was curious what was up with him, "Spike, you alright?" "I'm just a little tired tonight. I had quite the WORKLOAD TODAY!" he greatly exaggerated the last words with a frustrated yell. Twilight then remembered she had spike Constantly running errands back and forth between the library and the local supply store to gather different things that they needed. After he was finished with that, he had to reorganize the basement after she had made a mess unpacking the telescope that was down there. She blushed out of embarrassment for not remembering how hard he worked. Before she could apologize, the door to the top of the stairs closed. "Maybe I should just wait until tomorrow to talk." she said to herself. Turning back to her new mess, she decided to quickly put the books into a more organized fashion until she could get to them later. Now, she had a more important event to watch. Gathering her book and notes, she lifted her head and disappeared in a bright flash. On the top deck of the library, Twilight reappeared from the teleportation spell. Set out by the railing was her telescope, pointed up towards the sky. Looking up, she saw the light had nearly left the horizon, giving room to the stars and now Luna's rising moon. She smiled up, "It's almost time." "Almost time for what?" Twilight was surprised to hear a voice. Glancing to the right, she saw a cyan Pegasus floating in the air. A smile spread across the unicorns face when she recognized the cyan coat and multi colored mane, "Hey Rainbow Dash! What are you doing out here so late?" Rainbow flew over and landed quietly on the wooden balcony next to the telescope, "I was just heading home. Had a late day training." Twilight gave a chuckle, "Always training for the Wonderbolts, huh?" "Heck yeah I am!" Rainbow answered, sticking her chest out and flaring her wings up, "Once they see what I can really do, they will definitely put me on the team. After that, every pony in Equestria will see how fast I am!" "Well, I do hope you achieve your dreams soon." "Thanks." Rainbow turned to leave, but then remembered why she stopped, "So... What are you doing out here? And, what is it almost time for?" "I'm getting ready for a small meteor shower. There are multiple small meteors and comets coming into orbit with us soon." Rainbow have a curious look, "Really?" "Yeah, Hey! you want to watch? It should be starting any minute." "Uh, I don't know if..." Twilight took a few steps closer, her eyes wide with excitement, "Come on, it will be fun." Rainbow pondered over the idea of going home and sleeping or staying up to watch rocks in the sky. "Hmm. Alright, I'll stay for a little bit." "Ok then. Hopefully it doesn't take long to... Oh look! Its already happening!" Rainbow glanced up to the sky to see a streak of light blue shoot across the sky. Before she could say anything, she felt Twilight grab her with a hoof and pull her over to the telescope. Rainbow watched as the librarian looked into the eyepiece, swiveling it on the stand to different spots in the sky. "What are you doing?" "I'm trying to get that small comet in the sight." Twilight never took her eye off the telescope as she mumbled, "Aha! Got it. Here, come look at this." she moved out of the way to allow her friend a chance. Rainbow was hesitant, but after a moment walked over and placed her left eye onto the silver eye piece. Looking through, she saw a bright blue rock smoldering in the sky, the blue flames rushing behind it. The trail of energy left in its wake was truly a dazzling sight, even for the daredevil athlete, "That is pretty cool I gotta say." "I know right!?" Twilight giggled in delight. Opening the book, her magic rapidly flipped through the pages, looking for the right image that she wanted. After several seconds, she came to a stop, "Here we are; Star swirl's comet, the first comet ever classified. discovered over three thousand years ago by Star swirl himself." Rainbow turned away from the sight she was watching to frown down to the chattering librarian, "Twilight, you really are an egghead." Twilight glared up to Rainbow, "I'm not an egghead. I just find these kind of facts very interesting." Rainbow gave a cocky smirk, "Yeah, interesting for eggheads." chuckling, she turned back to look through the telescope. Twilight felt her cheeks burn up from frustration, "At least I like to learn important facts." Rainbow just continued to grin, not even taking her eye off the telescope, "At least I'm not an egghead." Twilight felt more anger coming up, "You sport jock." "Egghead." "Smelly athlete!" "Eeegheaaad." "You... You... Unsmart pony!" Rainbow buckled over in laughs at Twilights frustration, "Ha ha ha! Oh Twilight, I wish you could see your face, ha ha!" Twilight just grunted and went back to looking through her book, writing down an array of notes. Rainbow continued to look through the telescope up into the sky, shifting the position of it to see what else there was up in space outside of their world. She gazed at other comets that passed by, on some occasions even seeing some break up in the atmosphere. She also took some time to look at he moon, admiring just how different it looked up close. She didn't want to admit it to Twilight, but she was truly enjoying the time she was having. Turning the telescope, Rainbow watched another small comet go by, but stopped when something in front of it caught her eye, "what the..." she stuttered. Focusing her eye, she saw what looked like a small metal ball. "Hey Twi, come check this out." Twilight glanced up from her book at her friend, "What is it?" "It... Looks like something metal." Twilight gave a skeptical look at the confused Pegasus, "Come on Rainbow, don't go crazy on me." Standing up, she trotted over to the telescope, and leaned down to look into it, "I could understand an imagination does change what you see sometimes, but you can't let that-" she stopped as she saw the object as well. The item did seem to be made out of some sort of silver like metal, and it was shaped like a sphere. Another thing she noticed was that there was bright red fire forming around the front of it, signifying that it was entering the atmosphere. Before she could get a perfect look at it, the object disappeared over the horizon. Rainbow was able to see it with her own eyes at the very last moment, the bright fire illuminating its position, "What was that thing?" Twilight looked up from the eyepiece, staring off into the direction the object flew, "I don't know. it.. was probably just a new type of meteor. It will most likely burn up in the atmosphere. anyway.” Walking away, she sat back down and returned to her notes. > Crashing Down > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- Screaming through the air, the small metal ship lit up a small spot in the dark sky as it pushed through the atmosphere of the incoming planet. While it seemed as if it was coming in at too steep of an angle , the computers automatic safety activated, steering the ship slightly up to not come in too hot. The fires around the ship soon diminished once the pod passed into the lower, oxygen filled air.  Passing quickly over wide open fields and rivers, the pod was starting to descend toward the approaching ground. The thrusters located at the back of the sphere began to push backward in reverse to slow down is speed. Suddenly, a spark inside of the ship ignites inside of the computer, frying the control system. The engines lose power in the air, causing the ship to lose power and began to spiral out of control towards the ground.  Racing down, the ship smashed into the ground, bouncing across the ground like a rock skipping across a pond. Each time it struck the ground,  the exterior of the ship began to dent more and more, cracking the small red window in the front in a spider web pattern. After crashing and tumbling for nearly half a mile, the pod careened into a large lake. Striking with tremendous force, the pod created a large wave that rushed across the surface of the body of water. After floating for a minute, the sphere dropped under the surface, slowly descending into the deep blue abyss. Floating down, the ship soon touched the lakebed floor, sticking into the muddy bottom. Suddenly, the door of the pod was kicked outward, followed by a blast of air bubbles. As the water began to clear, a being began to push himself out of the small pod, his arms swinging as fast as he could. After what seemed like an eternity, his head burst through the surface, his lungs gasping for air. Floating to the edge of the lake, Broly clawed at the bank, his fingers digging into the mud as he pulled himself out of the water. Slick yet sticky mud bundled up around the golden bracelets he had on his wrists. He gasped in pain when his stomach dragged across the mud. Rolling on to his back, he saw the large hole in his stomach filled with cold brown mud. Cupping water in his hands, he tried to wash out the dirt from the still open wound, "Ahh, Damn it!" he screamed out. Still dazed from being forced awake from the sudden impact, he tried to focus his eyes as he gazed around himself, "Where *huff* the hell am I?" Leaning up from the mud, he struggled to get up to his knees, his body trembling with every movement. Looking around, he saw that he was in some sort of large grass field set between a tall mountain range. "What is this planet?" he said to himself. Putting his hands on the ground, he tried to push himself up, but his arms lacked the strength to even lift his body. Waking up from a three week coma meant that he lacked movement, causing his body to burn with every movement that he made, "agh! Kakarot... I will kill you!" Giving himself a few minutes to rest, he looked down at his battered body; his red and white pants were torn in several places. Bruises and cuts were covering most of his upper torso, but nothing was as bad as the large hole in his abdomen. The only thing that saved him from dying already was his physical strength and Saiyan blood inside of him, giving him incredible healing abilities beyond other beings.  Grimicing that he saw himself in such a weak state, he forced himself off the ground and began walking under the dark sky. ---- "Alright, now that was Aligon's comet." Twilight said to herself as she stopped at the picture matching the small comet she just saw pass by. Levitating her pen, she jotted down her sighting in her notes. Twilight had been watching the meteor shower for an hour now, most of it being alone. Rainbow had enjoyed the sight, but after fifteen minutes of watching, she was tired of staring at rocks fall through the sky. Taking off quickly, she left the unicorn on the roof to continue her 'sky spying' as she called it. "Hm Hm, oh Rainbow." Releasing a long yawn, Twilight was beginning to feel the late night creep into her tired mind. Looking up to the sky, she noticed the comets and other meteors had ceased to pass by anymore, "Mabye it's time to call it quits for now." Standing up from her kneeling position, she stretched her legs out before walking over to the telescope. She enveloped it in her magic and lifted it up, folding it into its storage position and laid it against the side of the tree. She then gathered up her notes and book in a stack and brought them up to her. Before she headed inside, however, she looked back into the sky in the direction the mystery item had went. "I probably just don't remember a meteor like that. It should be inside of here." Twilight said. Wanting to make sure she didn't just make a mistake, she opened up her guide book again, scanning through the mass of pages and pictures looking for anything that looked like the object she saw, "Its got to be here somewhere."  After shuffling through every page, she found to her surprise that not a single form of outer Equestrian asteroid or comet was like the mysterious Thing that she saw in the sky. Now she was really confused at what she saw earlier, "What could it be? I have just seen something that I have no idea what it is and apparently has never been discovered before. Should I tell the princess?" Twilight continued to think about her options as she carried her books if rough the door to her her room. Being careful not to wake Spike, she quietly set the books on her desk. Her eyes then went to her stack of blank letter sitting on the side next to her light. Thinking back, she did remember that it had entered the atmosphere when it passed by. "What if it didn't break apart when it fell? Some pony could be hurt if it landed near a town." Sitting down, she levitated a single sheet and a quill over in front of her, "I'll just send a precautionary report." A big grin suddenly spread across Twilights face, "Look at me, watching over Equestria. The princess will be so proud of me!" she squealed out, a little louder than she expected. She quickly covered her mouth with a hoof and turned to look if she woke Spike, smiling when she saw him still out cold. Finishing up her letter, she rolled it up and set it down on the desk. "I shouldn't wake Spike for this. This letter can wait until the morning." Walking over to her bed, she hopped up into it and pulled the covers back. Once inside of the warmth of her thick blanket, she let her eyes close and her mind wander into the realm of dreams. ---- Broly staggered with every step that he took. His legs felt as if they were going to buckle at any given moment as he walked. The lack move movement for three weeks did not help the fact that his injuries were not healed, still leaking out at a slow rate. He had been slowly walking for the last twenty minutes away from the lake that he crashed into. Seeing that his ship was gone, he had to find something to be of use for himself.  "*huff* *huff* I got to find some place to rest." he gasped as more blood came up his throat and out of his mouth, making him drop to his knees. Walking was too hard for him, so he-. "He he, I'm an idiot." he chuckled to himself. Doing his best to focus, he concentrated the the ki pulsing through his body. After a moment, his body floated off the ground and into the air, causing him to chuckle, "Why walk?" Leaning forward, he flew through the sky, trying to look for some place that he could rest for the night. Unfortunately for him, all he could see below him was open fields. Continuing for several miles, his mind began to blur as he flew. "What the hell?" he said in a daze. His vision was beginning to go hazy as he started to fall towards the ground. Trying to fly back up, he felt as if he was losing all control over himself. Before he could stop himself, he crashed back into the dirt. Screaming out, he felt his body pulsing as if the pain radiated with his own heartbeat. He was too exhausted to use his ki anymore, and the amount of blood that he lost was beginning to affect his internal functions.  His lungs were hardly able to get very deep breaths, only able to give small gulps of air as they struggled to expand and contract. His mind was also beginning to go in and out of darkness, his thoughts jumping around in and out of past memories. Forcing his eyes open, he looked forward and saw the waves of grass suddenly part, and he saw a single bipedal being in an orange gee standing there staring at him, his body enveloped in a glowing, golden aura that Matched his hair. Brolys mind seemed to snap awake temporarily as he sat in shock to who it was in front of him, "K-Kakarot?" Goku stared at Broly with his blue eyes, his gaze as cold as ice, "Broly, you have created the hell that you are in for yourself." he said, his voice echoing through the night. Broly glared at the super saiyan before him, "You, you and your planet will pay!" "Your fate had already been sealed. You did not die on that planet, but your time is coming. No matter how strong you are, you will perish soon." "Kakarot!" Broly yelled out as he watched the vision of Goku slowly fade away, leaving nothing in that spot. Lifting his head as high as he could, he screamed out into the night with everything that he had left inside of him. "KAKAROT!" He then collapsed back onto the dirt, his eyes losing all focus and then fading to black. "Am I to die in this spot?" he said to himself, "No, I am the strongest. I am the legendary super Saiyan!" Before he completely blacked out, Broly thought that he heard the sound of footsteps approaching mixed with faint voices.  --- What is it?" a husky voice said as he stared at the strange creature below him. "I don't know. I've never seen anything like it." a soft female voice answered, "Whatever it is, we should take it back to our home." What!? Why would we bring it with us?" "It's bleeding. I can stitch it up and help it out. Perhaps we can find out what it is." "I'm not bringing this... Thing back to our farm! We don't know if it's dangerous or not." Honey, look at it; it's almost dead. It needs help. Besides, it talked, so it isn't some savage beast." "What did it say? Crackerot? What the hay is that?" The female just rolled her eyes, "Just help me put it in the wagon." "Fine, fine. But it sleeps outside in the barn." > Awakening > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- Celestia paced back and forth in front of her throne in the early morning light. Her tired eyes stared at the floor as she walked, not focusing on anything in particular. The sound of the chamber doors opening snapped her out of her trance. Turning around, she saw the white pegasus guard enter the throne room. Standing up straight, she composed herself for the guard, "What is the status report?" she asked. The guard stood up to speak, "We have found other ponies in towns across the region who say they noticed a low fireball in the sky the other night during the meteor shower, but that was all." Celestia frowned and shut her eyes, "Nothing reported of something colliding with the ground?" "No, we haven't heard anypony with that claim. And the search parties have come up with nothing." the guard stared at the princess curiously as she didn't open her eyes, "Princess?" Celestia opened her eyes and looked down to the guard, "Continue with the search then. Notify me if something is found." The guard opened his mouth to say something, but decided to hold his tongue. Bowing low, he turned turned around and exited the main doors out of the large room. As soon as he was gone, Celestia used her magic and close the doors behind him. Sighing, she walked over to her throne and sat down. her mind was spinning from stress and nerves from the message she had received. Two days before, Twilight had sent a letter to her regarding a meteor she was unfamiliar with, that appeared very close to the ground. As soon as she got the letter, Celestia and her sister immediately sent out patrols to search the lands for anything that had crashed into the ground from the sky. Luna was even searching with the guards, but still nothing could be found. Summoning the parchment, Celestia unrolled it and read it for what seemed like the hundredth time, 'Dear Princess Celestia, While observing the meteor shower that occurred last night, I noticed one meteor that I did not recognize. It was not in the guide to the normal comets or meteors that pass by Equestria, and it seemed to be made of metal. It also was entering the atmosphere when I was watching it, which brought to my concern that it could have caused damage if it landed. I may be overreacting, but it would make me feel better by sending this. I will also send a drawing of what I saw. Hopefully it is nothing to worry about. Your faithful student, Twilight Sparkle' The message itself wasn't what made the princess worried, it was the image that Twilight sent with it. flipping the page revealed a small sheet attached to the back. Thanks to Twilight's keen eye, the drawing was filled with loads of detail. The Image showed a trail of fire behind a round metal ball with a small dark opening in the front. While most would have no idea what it was, the princess recognized it immediately, for she had seen it before; it was a single person space pod used by the Saiyans. It was just like the one Broly's father was in before his own son crushed him to death. --- Broly's felt his mind slowly starting to reawaken. Conscious thought crept back to him as he laid prone in something soft. Forcing his eyes open, it took several seconds for his vision to focus enough for him to see where he was. "What the?" he mumbled. He was inside of what appeared to be a small, yellow bedroom. The walls were littered with dozens of small pictures inside of brown frames. From his position he couldn't see what the pictures were of. His thoughts then went to his location, "What is this place? How did I get here?" Lifting up the wool blanket that covered him, he hopped up off the bed he had been previously resting upon. When he looked down to his body, his face changed into a confused expression; across his stomach layers of wrapped bandages that arched around his back and up over his shoulder, ending in another wrapped area over his chest. Putting his hand to his head out of confusion, he felt more thin wrap around his forehead. Mind racing, he began to think back to what happened to him; his mind was still in a daze as he tried to put together what he experienced. He recalled falling out of the sky and into the lake. He then remembered passing out when he heard- " Wait a minute!" he shouted at himself, "Those voices. Those weren't just my imagination. Someone found me, but who?" He pushed his legs over the side of the bed and stepped down. His muscles were locked and tired all over, but to his surprise he did not feel much pain coming from the massive wound that he had when he had landed. Standing up, he wobbled for a few steps, but eventually got his balance and walked fine. On the small dresser to his side, rested his golden plated necklace that he always wore spread across the top. Picking it up, he reattached it around his neck and turned around. Seeing his shoes on the ground by the door, he walked over to grab them, but stopped himself when he noticed the beings in the pictures. In some of them there was a yellow creature with green hair that walked on all four of its legs. It had a horn sitting on top of its forehead, but what was strange was towards its back end it had several small red spots on itself. "What manner of creatures are these?" he muttered aloud to himself. Ignoring the rest of the pictures, he slipped his boots on and opened the wooden door in front of him. hunching to fit through it, he found himself inside of a narrow hallway that was lined with more pictures. Trying to be quiet, he walked through the small place, but then his stomach began to growl uncontrollably, causing his hands to grip his midsection. Food immediately came into his mind as his stomach continued to turn on itself. Facing down the hallway, he came upon a small kitchen and smiled, "Since they helped me, I guess they won't mind me enjoying some of their spoils." Walking to the cupboards, he flipped them open and searched for anything that he could eat. Most of the food was in forms of cardboard wrapping with plastic on the inside. Not taking the time to read any of it, he ripped them open and began scarfing down handful after handful of food into his mouth. He was swallowing the food too fast to even allow his body to taste the stuff he was eating, but he didn't care. It was food and that's all he wanted. " Hey!" Broly flipped around at the voice, prepared to engage anything that came at him. To his surprise, all that he saw were two creatures standing before him, one of them was the yellow one that he saw in the picture from earlier. The frightened creature took a step forward and spoke, "You're awake? What are you doing in here?" Hearing that it could talk, Broly just stared at the animal. Hearing the voice he could tell that it was a female. After a moment, he just grinned at the creature, "What does it look like I'm doing? I'm starving." he gave a small chuckle before shoving another handful of food into his mouth. The other animal, a light brown version of the other one except that it lacked the horn on the forehead, glared at him with burning eyes. The male turned to the female, "I told you I wanted this thing in the barn." Broly stopped eating at stared at the two, "Wait. You two are the things that found me?" The yellow female looked up at him, "y-yes. We found you in the dirt bleeding. My name is cherry Seed. This is my husband Dirt Shover. This is our home on our Cherry Farm." Broly just continued to stare at the two of them. He lifted an eyebrow as his thoughts went around his head. "So, what race are you aliens supposed to be?" Both of their eyes went wide at hearing that question. Cherry stepped forward again, "we aren't aliens. We are ponies. If anyone is the alien, it would be you. Well...no offense." "Ponies? Never heard of your kind before. What is this place?" Dirt's look changed from anger to confusion, "You are in Equestria. You... You don't know where you are?" "I'm not from this planet. Why would I know your race?" Broly sneered before opening more food and attacking that as well. Dirt's mouth hung open as the tall figure in front of him wolfed down food, "Hey! Stop that, that's our food!" Cherry was too shocked to say anything as she watched the being assault her pantry. Bag after bag of food disappeared down its throat as it kept going back for more and more. It seemed as if there was no end to its appetite. 'what is this thing? Where could it have come from?' she thought to herself. After emptying the last box of food, Broly felt himself satisfied from his hunger. Placing a hand on his stomach, he patted it out of satisfaction, but as he did, his eyes went down to the bandages over that part of him. Slipping his fingers under the wrapping, he tore at the thin layers and peeled it off. He was shocked at what he saw. His wound had healed up, leaving only a red scar in that spot. Cherry smiled at seeing the creatures reaction, "You are lucky you were there at that time next to our farm. Me and my husband were coming back from a festival that night, and we are thirty miles from the nearest town. You are also lucky that I am one of the few unicorn farmers around. Took me all night to patch you up. I am surprised that you have healed so quickly. I've never seen any pony up after only two days from-" "Wait a second..." Broly cut her off, "Two days?" "Yeah, you were out the whole time. I'm shocked even with my magic that your stomach closed up this fast. You must be really strong." Broly grinned; being a Saiyan meant that his body could withstand damage that would instantly kill most others. His blood had that special ability, as did the blood of the rest of his race, to heal very quickly. That was the basis of the Saiyan race; fight, heal fast to fight more and to get stronger than before. "You have no idea." he smirked. To his side, Broly noticed the light coming from outside of the window. Curious, he walked right through the two ponies in front of him towards the door behind them. Dirt stepped out of the way as he glared at the tall creature, "This is one rude animal. I knew we shouldn't have brought it here " Cherry didn't answer as she galloped outside after the tall figure. When she reached outside, she saw it standing by the fence that surrounded her home, "Wait, you're leaving?" Broly stood there as he began to take off all of the bandages on his body. Looking out past the trees that surrounded the home, he stared at the sky as he thought to himself, 'I wonder if I can find a ship to get off this planet.' he then looked down to his fist as he clenched it shut, 'I can feel my power returning. Heh heh, this great.' charging his ki, his aura rushed out around him, enveloping him. His hair lifted up and shifted to a purple tone. Dirt and Cherry gasped as they saw Broly suddenly change in front of them. A rush of air forced their manes back from the force of energy radiating from him. Dirt took a step to get between his wife and the glowing being, "What are you?" Broly didn't turn around to look at the two behind him, "I'm Broly, the most powerful warrior in the universe." He chuckled to himself as he extended his right arm out and opened his palm, "Perhaps I should thank you for saving me..." he paused as a green glow began to glow from his palm, "Here is my gratitude!" Cherry Seed and Dirt Shover's eyes went wide as Broly spun around and threw a large ki blast at them. Cherry screamed as the ball rushed towards her, but was quickly silenced in the large explosion that enveloped her home. -- Celestia's hair stood up on end from the intensity of energy that she had suddenly sensed. Terrified, she stood up and ran over to the large window that overlooked Canterlot. Her heart raced inside of her chest. She knew exactly whose power it was. "It can't be." --- Broly smiled at the smoldering pile of wood and brick that was left of the small home, "Ha ha ha! These pathetic creatures are so weak." He looked up into the sky above him. "They don't deserve to even exist. I should cleanse this world of their infestation." He continued to laugh as he flew up into the air and rushed through the clouds above him, "I might as well have some fun before I find a way to get to Earth. I will find a way off this place and exterminate every last one of these ponies on this pathetic rock!" > Panic in Hoovesdale > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- Broly soared through the air high above the forest below him. He had no idea where he was going, but he didn't care; he was alive. He had stared death in the face and overcame it. "Heh heh, those ponies were quite useful. I can't wait to enjoy the pleasures of meeting more of those things." Though there were a few things he was curious about. First was how long had he been floating through the vacuum of space. He remembered that he was never able to input a destination into the computer system, which meant that the ship had no directional guidance to follow. If the Sayain ship does not have an input in the system, it will just coast through space, meaning that the time to reach a destination will be much slower than if he had put in a location to reach. Another thing was if these creatures even had the capability of creating ships to enter the depths of space. If they did not have a ship, he knew that he would be stuck on this miserable planet. Immediately, his blood began to boil as he thought back to the one who caused him the reason for nearly dying. "Kakarot, I will kill you!" Rushing through the sky, he passed over forests and mountains in rapid pace. The cool air helped to somewhat calm his heated nerves as he continued forward. Looking around, he could not see anything that seemed of any use for him. Then, in the distance, he saw what looked like a city. Wanting to let out his frustration, he turned and headed straight for the unsuspecting town. --- "Come on! I want to head back to Ponyville soon!" "Just a second, I'm just waiting for my book alright?" Bon Bon rolled her eyes as she sat outside of the book store for her friend Lyra to come out. Walking over to a bench, the cream colored pony laid down to relax while she waited. Turning her head, she saw her mint green unicorn friend at the counter putting up a few bits to buy the new story which was released. 'Why does she take this stuff so seriously? Humans aren't real.' she groaned to herself. When Lyra said she wanted to get out of town for a few days to relax, Bon Bon had agreed to come with her for the trip. While she really did enjoy the small vacation, Bon Bon was ready to head home to get back to work. When heading to the train station, however, Lyra noticed a sign that was advertising a new story by her favorite author. Filled with excitement, Lyra had to find the local bookstore to find the book she wanted. Trotting outside, the unicorn had an enormous grin spread across her face as she came down the steps and approached her sulking friend, "Can you believe it? A new story on humans!" Bon Bon rolled her eyes as she hopped off the bench to the ground. "Oh yeah, it is Sooooo amazing it is out." she said with complete sarcasm. Lyra glared at her friends attitude, "Why can't you ever try and read these books? These are all based off actual events that happened in the past." she used her magic to levitate the book out of the plastic bag it came in and brought it up to the frowning pony, "Just read the description. It is so interesting." Bon bon put her hoof out to grab the book to look at the back. Scanning the summary, she began to read aloud, "Dropping from the sky, four burning rocks crashed into the land surrounding the town of Canterlot. Coming out of the fire covered field, four beings came toward the peaceful castle, threatening to destroy the home of our righteous leader." she gave a blank stare up to her smiling friend, "Really? A story on humans wanting to attack Equestria?" "I know, isn't it crazy!? It is so much different than the other ones about how the group of humans come peacefully to our home after they came here." Lyra excitingly said. Bon Bon looked at the cover to see the picture drawn on front; it showed four round, burning objects falling down in a row towards the ground which was already on fire. Out of the fire, it had four bipedal figures coming through the flames. 'Sorry, but I'm judging this book by its cover' she thought to herself. "Lyra, you really shouldn't take these stories seriously. They are all made up." "They are not made up! These are all based off things that happened before!" Lyra exclaimed. "Come on. Like a human, IF they were real, would ever attack Equestria." A loud boom echoed through sky above the town that instant. Every pony walking outside stopped what they were doing to look up above them to try to see what was the cause of the disruption. Then, a figure suddenly dropped through the clouds and crashed down into the middle of the street, cracking the ground beneath its feet. All the ponies gasped at the sight of the strange creature that appeared. Standing up on its back two legs, it stood at least two feet taller than all the citizens in the town. Its purple hair slowly floated up and down in the current of seemingly yellow magic that radiated out from its body. It slowly turned its head back and forth, looking at the frightened faces all around him. All frightened except for one. Lyra could not believe what she was seeing; a real human in front of her! She was surprised about the fact it had some kind of magic ability, but she didn't worry about that. All that she cared about was the fact that it was a human. She had seen so many descriptions about them from all the stories she had read; wearing clothes, walking on their back two legs, arms with things called hands instead of claws like a dragon. 'I cannot believe I get to actually meet a human!' she screamed inside of her head. Shaking off her immediate shock, she slowly approached the figure Standing before her. Bon Bon eyes went wide when she saw her friend walking forward, "Lyra! What are you doing!?" Lyra ignored her friend as she came closer to the muscular being. She stopped only a few feet in front of it as it looked down at her. They stared at each other for what seemed like several minutes before Lyra chose to breaks the awkward moment for her, "H-Hi there. My names Lyra. Wh-What's yours?" Before she could react, one of the beings powerful hands shot out and grabbed her by the throat. She then felt her body be hoisted off the ground as the powerful arm lifted up. She tried to scream, but the pressure around her neck was restricting any movement for her. Bon Bon screamed out when she saw her friend in danger, "Lyra! You put her down!" Lyra continued to thrash in the grasp of the “human”, who was now grinning at her. It slowly brought her closer so it could stare directly into her terrified eyes. "I am Broly." Broly then flung his arm to the right, throwing the unicorn into the side of a nearby building. Lyra yelped out in pain from the impact with the wall, her body dropping to the flower bed beneath her. Bon Bon rushed over to her side and helped hoist her out of the dirt, "Lyra, are you alright?" Lyra didn't respond. Her eyes were locked on Broly as he slowly levitated into the air. Her heart was pounding inside of her chest, making her fur stand on edge. From all the stories she had read on humans, she felt like he was something more like a monster. Just the look in his eyes alone sent chills down her trembling body. Broly looked around to all of the frightful faces of the ponies throughout the street. He smirked at how some of them tried to hide behind anything that was there, thinking that it Would somehow protect them from him. "Look at all of you pathetic creatures..." he chuckled, "None of you even look like you would ever put up a challenge to me." Many ponies shuttered at the cold tone in his voice. They tried to hunker down even lower to try to avoid his gaze as he continued speaking, "Now, perhaps I won't kill all of you if you tell me what I want." "What do you want?" A brown unicorn shakingly asked. "Where does your kind keep all of your space pods?" The stallions face shifted from fear to confusion at the question, "W-what are you talking about?" Broly's furrowed his brow at the pony, "I want to know where do you keep your space ships for travel!" "But... What is a space ship?" Broly's jaw hung open for a moment after hearing that. "You... Don't even have space transport?" he could not believe that the one planet in which he crashes on doesn't have a form of space travel. He was stuck here. Broly felt his nerves about to snap at that instant. 'No. I am not going to be stuck on this wretched planet!' his ki began to grow out away from him, causing nearby windows to start cracking from the force growing out from him. Ponies watched in terror as his muscles seemed to actually grow more defined than they previously were, giving him an even larger stature than he had before. Then, his hair changed from its purple tone to a golden color. Broly glared back down at the stallion as he lifted an open palm towards it, "Then die along with this miserable planet." he said as he created a bright Ki blast in his hand and let it loose. The unicorn screamed out in terror as the ball came at him, enveloping him in an enormous explosion. Bon Bon and lyra felt their blood run cold as they watched Broly shoot the blast of energy from his hand and kill the helpless unicorn. Picking Lyra off the ground, Bon Bon began to pull her away down the road, "Come on, let's get out of here!" Both of them pumped their legs as fast as they could move to escape the city. Broly watched as the smoke disappeared from the small crater he made from his attack. To his amusement, he saw nothing left of the pony that was there before. Seeing this caused him to chuckle, "Heh heh, if I am going to be stuck here, I might as well enjoy killing every single one of these pathetic ponies."opening both palms, he began shooting Ki blasts at everything around him. The spinning green blasts rushed through the air, obliterating large portions of any structure that got in their way. The screams of ponies echoed in the air as they tried to evade the mix of blasts and falling debris from above. Cries of agony and pain came from any that had been caught inside the mix of destruction. Yet despite all of the horror that was happening, the sinister laugh of Broly was heard continuously as he destroyed more and more. "Muhahaha! I haven't been able to do this since my father put that device on my head to control me. But no more... I am in control now!" he looked around and saw the one pony he threw earlier running far down the road with her friend. "Where do you two think you are going?" he created another Ki blast and pulled his arm back, "I didn't say you could live!" he yelled as he threw it after them. Bon bon heard the whistling noise behind them as she and Lyra sprinted as fast as they could away from the city. Flipping her head around, she panicked as the green ball came closer and closer. 'No, I can't die like this.' she cried inside of her head. A single tear of fear dripped down her cheek as the glow from the orb seem to envelop them. Suddenly, a bright magenta blast out of nowhere collided with the side of the ball, sending it off course and into the side of a building. Lyra tried to look from where the beam came from, but didn't dare stop running. 'Thank you.' she whispered as she continued to run. "What?" Broly stated. He was upset that someone had ruined his fun that he was having. Looking forward, he watched as group of at least a dozen ponies came around the other side of the building towards him. All of them were wearing bright golden armor that covered most of their bodies. Seeing this made him snicker, "So, some warriors from this planet have come to try and stop me. Which one of you decided to block my blast." "That would be me." From the center of the soldiers, another pony came forward, his white coat mostly hidden by his purple armor. Walking forward, he stopped in front of his battalion. "By order of captain of the royal guard, you are under arrest for the assault on Hoovesdale and for the murder of innocent ponies." Broly burst out laughing at the order, "Hahaha! I don't think so. I don't take orders from pests." --- Celestia snapped her eyes open, releasing her from the sight in Hoovesdale. Her heart raced as she quickly got up and ran towards the main doors. Bursting them open, she nearly knocked over the guard standing there. The startled soldier recomposed himself as quickly as possible for the princess, "Ehh, your highness. Is something the-" "Go to Ponyville immediately and find Twilight. Bring her and the other elements of harmony to Canterlot at once!" Celestia yelled out. The sheer panic in her voice was causing the guard to forget the code of conduct and gave up standing in position. "What's the matter? What has happened?" "Go now! I must travel to Hoovesdale at once." The guard was hesitant, but nodded and ran out of the castle. Celestia followed quickly after and came out onto the steps outside the main doors. Opening her massive wings, she took to the skies at breathtaking speed. Flying high and hard, she banked and headed towards the city in the distance. She knew Luna had also sensed the destruction that was happening, and that she would be heading there as well. 'Luna, why did you separate from Shining Armor?' she thought to herself, 'He won't stand a chance against Broly.' Flying high in the clouds, Celestia came over a small collection of four small lakes in the fields outside of the Everfree forest. While many would think they were just lakes, Celestia knew that they were in fact craters from four separate impacts over thirty years ago. Her mind suddenly pictured the four different beings coming towards her city, all covered in sets of matching armor. She shook her head clear of the images, trying to focus on the task now. Her mind now thought of Broly, causing her skin to crawl. "Your kind has come before you and I stopped them. I will not let you take my home." Now it was a race against time to reach the city for her guards sake. And it was a race she felt she was going to lose. > Power of a Saiyan > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- Broly glanced back and forth between the ponies that were standing in front of him. From what he saw, there was five normal ponies, four Pegasi and five unicorns including the purple one in front of them all. Grinning, he took several steps in their direction, "So, who are you supposed to be? The warriors of this planet?" Shining Armor glared at the strange being in front of him. "I am Shining Armor, and we are the royal guard to Princess Celestia and Princess Luna. We are here to place you under arrest for the crimes committed against the citizens of this town." Broly threw his head back in a fit of laughter, "Oh my, you think you have what it takes to face me? I will crush you like the pathetic worms that you are!" Shining’s blood boiled with anger at the audacity of this being. He wanted to make this... Thing suffer for what it did to the ponies in this town, but he was unsure whether  they did have a chance or not. Seeing how easily those strange balls of energy were formed from its hands and the amount of damage the wreaked meant this thing must have be extremely powerful. Not only that, but Shining had no idea how much more energy this thing had. Looking to the guards behind him, he saw that they were all nervous about trying to confront this strange alien. The Many destroyed sections of buildings and stores behind Broly only made the perspective of him all that more menacing to all of them. One of the Pegasi in the group turned to his captain, eyes filled with fear, "Sir, I don't think we should try and fight this thing without the princesses." Shining stared at the guard for a moment, unsure how he should respond; tell him to straighten up and act like a soldier? Tell him that they could easily face this threat? Wait for aid, which may not come soon? So many thoughts were spinning inside of his head that he barely felt an energy blast rushing towards him. "Scatter!" he screamed out. In an instant, every guard shot from their rooted spot and jumped to the side, causing the blast to pass by them. The green swirling ball collided with another building down the street, obliterating most of it in a large explosion. The soldiers stared in shock at the sight, but we're quickly caught off by the sound of laughing. Turning around, they saw Broly flying through the air straight at them. One of the unicorns in the group overcame his fear, charged up his horn and shot a blast of paralysing magic at the incoming Saiyan. Broly brought his right arm forward and shot another Ki blast at it, causing a small explosion when the two collided. Barreling through the smoke, he came up on the startled unicorn before it could react and swung his arm around, hitting the pony with a powerful back fist and sending him careening through the wall of the building to the left. Frightened by his speed and power, the other guards turned and tried to flee, but not before Broly shot his arm out and grabbed the leg of a flying Pegasus. Swinging the pony over his head like a doll, and slamming down, bashing the Pegasus into the road so hard it created a small crater below his feet. The guard gasped as he felt something crack in his back, numbing up the lower half of his body. Glancing up, he was met with the sight of Broly's other hand, opened up and charging another blast. The last thing he heard before the flash hit him was the sound of laughing. --- Celestia continued to fly as hard as she could towards Hoovesdale. She continued to sense the energy readings coming from that direction, but was unable to focus on it due to placing all her concentration in speed. She had no idea if Shining and the other guards were alright, which made her all that more worried for when she would arrive. "Tia!" Celestia looked around at the sound of her nickname, seeing her sister pass through a cloud towards her. Once near each other, Luna gave a worried look to her older sibling, "You felt the power as well, I see." "I saw him, Luna..." Celestia answered, "He has already attacked Hoovesdale. Shining Armor and the other guards are already being attacked by him." Luna's eyes widened even further than before, "Shining!?" Celestia cast a glare to her sister, "Why did you send him off on his own? You knew they had no chance if they did come across him?" "I honestly had doubts we would find him, Tia! We searched everywhere and couldn't find anything that showed he ever was here until the energy reading this morning. I sent him to the town to just check on the citizens and see if they saw anything or heard of something unusual." Celestia turned away and looked ahead as they continued to fly. "Where are the rest of your guards?" "I sent them back towards Canterlot. I ordered them to prepare every other guard for a possible threat." Celestia shook her head as she thought of the monster they had to face. 'That won't make a difference. Even if everypony in Equestria came together, they wouldn't be able to stop him. The only ones strong enough are the two of us and the elements of Harmony.' --- Shining Armor crawled up out from the rubble on top of his back. He had barely dodged an incoming blast as it obliterated the building above him, causing a shower of rocks to crash down on him. His body ached all over, making him nearly stumble over before one of his unicorn companions caught him by the side. "Captain, are you alright?" the pony quickly asked. Shining shook his head clear and stood up on his own. "I'm fine. Where are the others?" "That alien has already killed eight of us. We- "What!?" Shining screamed out, "Eight?" "All earth ponies are gone. Two Pegasi and one unicorn are dead. Nothing we do is phasing this thing. It's too strong." Shining stared in a daze to what he was hearing; eight guards killed in a matter of minutes. Even hearing it from a companion he found it hard to even think this could happen. After a moment, he was able to snap himself out of the trance and look to the pony beside him,"Order the retreat. Fall back." The guard nodded, but before he could react, a green ki blast struck him in the stomach and blasted him through the brick wall behind him. Shining stared in shock before turning to see the incoming form of Broly. Panicking, he focused his magic and teleported himself behind the hovering being. Broly stopped mid flight in confusion, then noticed the bright flash from behind him. Flipping around, he saw Shining Armor standing in the street. 'That is an interesting power...' he thought to himself, "Heh heh heh, these ponies are more fun than I thought they would be.' Shining ran as fast as he could down the road, trying to put as much distance as he could between himself and the insane creature behind him. As he ran, he saw two of the Pegasi guards flying above him. "All of you, retreat back to Canterlot!" Shining yelled out. One of the guards gave a look of confusion, "But what about Hoovesdale?" "We have no choice. We can't fight this thing and- The side of the tall building next to the Pegasi suddenly shattered as Broly burst through the rubble. The flying ponies froze in their spots as the tall warrior flew straight at them, arms stretched out. They gasped out in pain as they were clotheslined and slammed into the face of another building. Their bodies simultaneously went numb from shock as they were crashed through the outer wall and thrown through the other side of the building. Smashing through the wall, they both fell downward and bashed into the ground below. Broly flew through the opening made by his victims, looking down to the dirt. He laughed when he saw their mangled bodies half buried in the ground, not moving a single inch. Turning his gaze, he saw the final three guards, all unicorns, running for their lives. Grinning, he charged his Ki up around his body and flew after them. "Why don't you just accept your fate!?" Flying past them, he crashed onto the ground and kicked off, launching himself at the helpless ponies. Shining froze out of fear, unable to move his body as Broly closed in on him. Suddenly, he felt one of his soldiers shove from the left, knocking him out of the way. Falling into the ground, he flipped around in horror as both of his remaining guards were grabbed by their heads inside of Broly's hands. "No! Let them go, you monster!" Broly chuckled as he felt the guard in his left hand thrashing it's front hooves around his arm, trying to pry it off. Laughing, he lifted his arm high above his head and released his grip, allowing the pony to fall down... Just in range for his powerful leg to kick it right in the stomach. Gasping out in pain, the unicorn dropped to the ground and clutched its gut with his hooves, but was then kicked in the face and sent careening through the air and through the wall of yet another building. The other guard saw through the openings of the fingers over his face his friend being rocketed through the air. Enraged, he wrapped his forehooves over Broly's arm. Lifting his weight, he brought his back leg up and kicked out, landing square on the tall warrior's jaw. To his surprise, though, Broly didn't flinch in the least from the hit. Instead, he turned his eyes to look at the frightened pony. Behind the hoof in his cheek, he grinned, "You got some nerve trying to hit me like that. Now it's my turn." Clenching his free hand, Broly slammed a powerful left hook into the unicorns stomach, causing it to buckle over. Laughing at its pain, Broly slammed three more punches to its abdomen before letting it drop to the ground. The pony wailed in agony on the dirt, clutching its many broken ribs. before he could do anything again, he was picked up by Broly once again and slammed down in the same spot, splitting the ground. Broly lifted his arm off of the limp pony below him, turning his gaze to the frozen form of Shining Armor to the side. Seeing the terrified look on his face made Broly laugh yet again, "Look at you, sitting there doing nothing while your friends die right in front of you. Some kind of captain you are." Hearing those words caused something to snap inside of Shining; he was sitting there, doing nothing while his comrades, the ones who save his life moments ago, were pummeled and he just sat there like a filly. Hatred now began to flow through his veins as his horn charged up, illuminating the area around him. "You are going to pay for what you did to them!" "Then why don't you come over here and make me apologize to you." Broly smirked. Shining Armor shot out a large blast of magic from his horn at Broly, who simply swung his arm around and struck the beam with his hand, reflecting it off to the side. Seeing a straight on attack was useless, Shining teleported behind Broly to try to catch him off guard, but was met with the spinning heel of Broly's right leg connecting with his chin. "Gah!" shining yelled as he was sent soaring towards a nearby tree. Focusing his magic, he teleported himself a few feet to the left, allowing him to pass the tree and land in the dirt. Scrambling up as fast as he could, he levitated a large boulder off the ground and threw it at Broly, who lifted his arms up and caught the rock like it was a ball! Just to show off, he blasted the rock in his hands into a thousand pieces. As the gravel pieces fell, he suddenly felt himself surrounded by magenta magic shield. "what the... What is this?" Shining Armor smiled as his horn glowed brightly, "You’re caught in my Force field. You aren't going anywhere now." Broly grinned at seeing this challenge. "lets see that test. RAHHH!"he screamed out as he focused the Ki in his body. A bright glow enveloped his body, expanding outwards and pushing against the inside of the shield. Shining eyes went wide as he felt the shield begin to stretch from the power being emitted. Sweat began dripping down the captains forehead as the force began to overpower the shield he created. "No, this is impossible!" Several seconds later, the shield shattered like a bowl of glass, sending the captain backwards onto his side. Before he could get up, a powerful foot came down and stomped his shoulder, causing a loud yell to come from Shining's throat as he felt his front right leg pop out of its socket. to make matters worse, Broly continued to add pressed to the leg, sending waves of pain to overwhelm the captains mind to the point he felt like blacking out any moment. Broly laughed hysterically as he watched the ponies movements become less frequent from exhaustion and pain. Lifting his leg off, he bent down and placed a hand around the unicorns throat and offer him to eye level. "Is that it? Finished already? This planet truly is pathetic if this is the level of power that these beings possess." Shining gasped as the grip around his neck increased, cutting off his windpipe. He tried to hold himself up with his one good foreleg, "W-why are you *gag* doing this to us?" he muttered through his raspy and painful breaths. "Isn't it obvious?" Broly responded, "A piece of trash race like yourselves doesn't deserve to exist. I am the most powerful warrior in the universe, and I will clean this wretched planet of every last one of your kind." "What? Wh-why? We never did anything to you- agh!" Shining was cut off by Broly's knee crushing his chest plate, indenting it against his ribs. The pain was now causing his body to shudder in small convulsions. "I do this because I can. I will kill everything that stands in my way, and you will be next!" opening his free hand near Shining's face, he charges up a small Ki ball and smiles, "Now join your soldiers in the afterlife." Before he fires however, he sees out of the corner of his eye two more ponies flying his direction in the sky. Turning, he sees these ones are larger than the ones he fought before, causing a tremor of excitement in his gut. "Well well, looks like more want to die today. Perhaps these ones will be more of a challenge." > Rising against > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- Music is optional in the chapter later. not necessary if you don't want it Celestia and Luna stared in shock to the sight that beheld them; Hoovesdale had been turned into a mass of destroyed and crumbling buildings, smoke billowing up from the many fires that were burning throughout. From what they could tell, over half of all the buildings were ready to crumble down into a pile of rubble at any moment, and at least a quarter of the city was already completely obliterated. The worst sight however was directly below them. Several guard ponies lay skewed across the ground, their bodies limp and still. Celestia felt her heart cringe seeing her guards dead beneath her while she did nothing to help them. Her eyes flew across the battlefield, until she found the cause of all of the horror. Broly was standing there looking directly at the incoming princesses, his one hand clutching Shining Armor by the throat. Seeing that he was still alive, the two alicorns dropped down to the ground in front of them, their horns glowing bright. "Broly, put him down now." Celestia's eyes were filled with anger and hatred as she stared at the cold hearted warrior. Broly lifted an eyebrow when he heard the new pony call him by his name. "So, you know who I am? That's a first on this planet. Who are you supposed to be?" "I am princess Celestia..." Celestia opened a wing and let it spread out behind her sister, "And this is my sister, Princess Luna. We are the guardians of this world." Broly just laughed after hearing their introduction, "My my, two princesses? What a thrill. That gives me double the challenge now. I hope that you two will be more fun than this pathetic life form." Lifting his arm up, he hoisted Shining armor higher above himself as the captain thrashed around helplessly. Luna's horn sparked as her magic charged higher. "My sister gave you an order. Release the pony at once." "Hmph. You want him so bad, then take him!" Broly swung his arm forward and threw Shining like a doll through the air towards the princesses. Celestia immediately used her magic and enshrouded Shining Armor in it to catch him. Once he was safe, the princess levitated him to the side and laid him down against a rock. Turning back, she flared her wings out in anger towards the Saiyan, which in turn only made him laugh. "So you do wish to challenge me then. I like that. The question is do you even know the power that I posses?" "I know exactly who you are Broly, and I know that you are a Saiyan." Celestia flapped her wings to lift herself off the ground and prepared her horn for anything. "I wish for you to stop this act of terror on our land or we will be forced to make you stop." Broly put his right hand out and charged up a Ki blast. "I don't even take orders from the prince of my own race. I will never listen to a pathetic race of ponies!" He threw his arm forward and launched the blast towards the two princesses. Pumping their wings, both alicorns separated from each other, leaving an open space for the energy attack to pass through harmlessly. Banking upwards to the sky, Luna shot a blast of blue magic at Broly, who reacted by shooting his own Ki upwards. The two attacks collided and created a bright explosion in the air. Luna had to block the bright light with her hoof to see. As the light dissipated, Broly burst through the smoke coming directly at the lunar princess. Panicking, Luna teleported back to the ground to get out of the line of danger. Celestia flew directly up at Broly and shot several blasts up in rapid succession. The Saiyan flew upwards above the incoming attacks before flying head on towards the white alicorn. He watched as her horn glowed the moment he was about to collide with her, having a good guess at what she was about to do. "Alright, let's see if I'm right." He said to himself as he charged another small Ki blast in his palm. At the last second before they connected in the air, Celestia teleported herself out of the path... Just as Broly predicted. Spinning around, the Saiyan shot his blast behind him just as the white flash appeared in the air. Celestia felt the blast strike her in the side, causing her to yelp out in pain from the burn. Before she could recover fully, Broly was above her with his fists clenched together above his head. Bringing both hands down, he hammered Celestia on the head and sent her careening to the ground below. Dazed from the hit, Celestia shook her head to clear her mind as she fell from the sky. Opening her wings, she caught herself and glided down to the ground. Her alicorn body was much stronger than any standard pony, allowing her to recover from physical attacks much easier than others. She looked back up to the sky where her opponent hovered looking down at her. Broly was surprised by the fact his hit didn't end the pony right there. The guards he was fighting earlier took only a hit or two and they were done. This princess before him took a direct hit to her head and seemingly overcame it easily. The sight brought a grin to his face. "She rivals a super Saiyan in strength. This will be interesting." --- Twilight and her friends watched as the ground passed below them in the chariot. They were all confused on what was going on for the guards to come and demand that they all come to Canterlot immediately. Rarity whined most of the time as her mane was being blown in the wind. "Why in the world would the princess always ride in these things? It is dreadful to my hair!" "Just pipe down Rarity, y'all worry too much 'bout that hair of yers." Applejack snapped. She was becoming annoyed by the constant nagging of her stylist friend. Rarity gasped when she heard that response. "Applejack, how could you ever say that! Do you know how long it took me do my hair like this?" "Ah have no idea cuz it always looks the same." Applejack rolled her eyes as she leaned over the edge by Twilight to speak. "So Celestia mentioned nothin' bout a test er somethin'?" "No, she never mentioned anything that was happening today." Twilight put a hoof up to her chin as she thought, "Actually, I haven't gotten any letters back from the princess in the last few days." "Oh, well I hope nothing has been troubling her." Fluttershy whispered from the side. "The thing is she stopped responding after I sent her that one three days ago." "Ha! I knew it. I knew that rock was really weird!" Rainbow suddenly boasted out. All of the others turned to her in confusion. "Beg your pardon?" Rarity questioned. Rainbow flew up along side the chariot and began explaining how she was with Twilight the other night during the meteor shower. She told them how the one comet she saw looked really strange and seemed to land on the ground in the distance. Pinkie Pie hopped up and down excitedly as she listened to the story. "Ohh that sounded like fun! I wanna watch a meteor shower sometime! I'll throw a meteor party next time!" Rainbow playfully rolled her eyes at her friend and smiled. "Pinkie, you are really crazy." "Why would somethin' like a meteor make the princess worry so much?" Applejack asked. "I have no idea. We can ask her once we arrive to... What in the world?" Twilight stared in amazement as the chariot pulled down to the main castle of Canterlot. Over a hundred guards were lined up in formation around the city perimeter, weapons drawn to their sides. Dozens marched through the streets signaling all ponies to head back to their homes and lock themselves indoors. In the castle courtyard, another platoon of guards numbering over a hundred were organizing themselves and strapping on the remainder of their armor on. The sight was as if they were preparing to go to war. Landing on the ground, Twilight hopped out quickly and ran up towards the main castle doors. As she pushed them open, she nearly knocked over the guard that was coming out at the same time. "Oh sorry about that..." She quickly apologized, "What's going on here?" The guard regained his composure as he stood at attention, "We have been ordered to prepare for a major threat. The princesses said that all soldiers were to be stationed out." "A threat!?" Twilight exclaimed, "What in Equestria has all the guards out? Are the changelings back?" "No. I'm not exactly sure what is the danger. From what I have heard the other guards saying by the way the princesses have been, it's much worse." Music Link Twilight stared forward as she contemplated what she was just told. Even as the guard walked by she looked down the chamber room to the empty throne at the far side of the room. "What is so dangerous as to make you afraid?" --- Broly burst through the side of the building and barreled towards Luna. Crawling out from under the debris on her back, Luna levitated several large boulders and threw them at the oncoming Saiyan. Broly shot the fire rock, spun around to kick the second one away, and brought his fist back and punched through the final boulder. As it split, he was caught off guard by the blue alicorn following right after. Luna brought her front hoof forward and struck Broly in the chin, drawing blood. Before he could hit her back, she dropped down to the ground and spun around on her front hooves. Bucking outwards, her back legs landed directly in his chest and sent him stumbling backwards. Catching his footing, Broly wiped away the blood on his lip and glared at the alicorn. "You'll pay for that." Kicking off the ground, Broly burst through the air and caught Luna by surprise with a right hook to her chest. As she stumbled over, he kicked up into her stomach and lifted her off the ground. Reaching out and grabbing her by her front legs, he spun around and through her through the nearby wall. Celestia rushed down from above and shot a beam straight for Broly's head. Ducking to the side as it clipped his hair, the angered warrior began shooting out a barrage of Ki blasts in her direction. Charging her horn up, Celestia created a shield in front of her, crashing through the small blasts as she continued downward towards him. "I won't let you take our world, Broly!" She yelled out over the blasts as they struck her shield. Broly sneered as he jumped back out of the way of the shield that crashed into the ground. He was becoming frustrated at these two ponies. "They may not look it, but they are some of the strongest opponents I have ever faced. They are as strong as Kakarot and his pathetic friends." He said to himself as Celestia flew at him again shooting a thick beam his direction. Flying up to dodge the blast, Broly prepared to strike back until he noticed the shadow above him. Looking up, Luna dive bombed him and shot a blast of lightning from her horn. Bracing his elbows in front of his face, Broly felt himself knocked several feet back by the powerful blast. As he took his arms away, his face was met with Luna's hard hoof connecting with his cheek. Spitting out more blood, Broly reacted by swinging his arm in a quick uppercut to Luna's jaw, causing her to black out and go limp for a moment. Using his quick chance, Broly landed several more fast punches to her body before doing a mid-air somersault and heel kicking her in the head sending her crashing to the ground below. Celestia watched in fear as her sister plummeted out of the sky and crashed into the ground. "Luna!" Before Celestia could fly down to help her sister, she was slammed in the side by Broly's form. They both tumbled through the air, punching and bucking as they tried to overcome the other. As they came closer to the ground, Broly brought a powerful knee up and connected with the sun princess's chest, knocking the wind out of her. Flipping around so he was at her back, he grabbed her wings and pinned them to her side as she watched helplessly as the ground rushed towards her. Luna shook her body as she crawled up out of the rock and dirt. Looking up, she felt her heart rush as her sister dropped down out of the clouds, the Saiyan clamped on her back. Quickly taking off the ground, she rushed towards her trapped sibling. Her horn began to pulse bright blue as she blasted out a wave of energy that raced across the sky, striking both falling bodies. Broly felt his body being shocked all over as the magic continued to assault him. The power of it itself wasn't actually hurting him, but it was enough of a distraction to give Celestia, who was intact and immune to this special technique, to escape his grasp and shoot a blast of magic into his chest and sending him backwards. Now free, Celestia flew over to her younger sister. "Thanks for that, Luna." "Don't mention it. Lets do this." Luna boasted. Broly glared at the two alicorns before him. He had no idea that there would have been beings this powerful in this world. Lowering himself to the ground, he stood there and stared up as they also flew down to the ground. "This is becoming a nuisance for me." After thinking for a moment, he began to chuckle to himself. "Perhaps I've been taking it too easy on them. I should show them my true power." > Behold the Power > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- Celestia and Luna stared at Broly for what seemed like minutes before the silence was broken by the echo of laughter. They were confused at why Broly suddenly threw his head back and had begun laughing like a maniac. Frowning, Luna took a step forward. "Do you find something amusing in us fighting?" "Actually, I do." Broly chuckled, "You two are quite powerful, and are perhaps some of the strongest fighters in the universe. Since you knew who I was shows that you were able to sense me before this." "We did sense you, your power was detected several weeks ago..." Celestia answered, "In fact, we watched your fight against the warrior Goku and his allies." Hearing that name made Broly's blood boil. Gritting his teeth and clenching his fists together, he glared at the princesses. "You watched me fight with Kakarot?" Luna cast a cocky grin, "yes. We also saw that you were defeated by him and left on that planet. I believe you should have stayed there and died." Growling, Broly wanted to fly over there and snap that ponies neck for the comment. Instead, he held himself back and laughed again. "So, if you say that you watched the battle, then I assume you realize that I haven't even reached my full power level." Both alicorns eyes went wide when they heard that. They had known his final form was not activated, but when they saw him like this they believe he just couldn't reach it due to his injuries that he sustained. Luna swallowed the small lump in her throat before she tried to speak again. "Y-you are just saying that to try and intimidate us. I doubt you can defeat us." “Are you saying that you two have not been using your full power against me this whole time?” Luna hesitated for a second before speaking. “We have much more strength than you can realize. ” A grin spread across the Saiyan's face. "Then let us find that out." Broly shut his eyes, then began focusing the Ki stored deep inside of his body, allowing it to be released. "Rrraaaaaaaarr!" He screamed out as he threw his head back in the air. A bright green glow suddenly enveloped his entire body, lighting the entire area up as his loud voice carried across the sky. The sky above the city began to suddenly shift, the clouds pulling tighter around the center. The immense pressure of Ki was actually changing the composition of the clouds, the energy inside of them growing and causing them to turn dark. Soon, the area was covered in a dark shadow, illuminated by the glow from the Saiyan and the flashes of lightning that began to burst out of the clouds all over the entire area.. Celestia and Luna stared in horror as they felt the energy being emitted from Broly continue to grow stronger around them. Hearts ramming inside their chests, they were frozen in place as the ground beneath them they watched the Saiyan scream out into the sky as his power increased beyond anything they had ever experienced in such a dark being. --- Miles away, Canterlot became a massive place of panic in an instant. Out of nowhere, an enormous force began shaking the entire city, rumbling the streets and buildings all throughout. The sheer intensity of the force that rocked the once still area was enough to shatter many of the windows and cause the tall structures to sway to dangerous lengths of near breaking. Guard ponies tried to keep their nerves intact as they helped guide the citizens out of the crowded areas and into the open away from the structurally unsound edifices. Despite what they tried to do, however, every soldier was terrified inside of their hearts as they attempted to understand just what was happening. Twilight hobbled back and forth as she tried to catch her footing against the shaking. “What in Equestria is happening here!?” “Ah have no clue what is happenin’!” Applejack yelled out as she tried to keep her hat on her head. Fluttershy was whimpering on the ground as she curled into a tight ball and jumped under a bench nearby. “Wh-wh-what is this?” she whispered. While all of her friends were freaking out, Pinkie Pie just happened to be enjoying the new sensation as she bounced across the ground. “I dOn’T kNoW WhY yOu DoN’t LiKe ThIs!” she said as she vibrated. “ThIS fEeLs AmAzInG!” “Pinkie, how does this not frighten you!?” Twilight screamed out, “Something terrible is happening right now!” “You think it is Discord? I bet he would do something crazy like this!” Rainbow angrily yelled as she flew in the air. Even though she wasn’t touching the ground, she could feel the air itself seem to vibrate as the city trembled under the great force. “No, I don’t think this is Discord. He was into just making things weird. He never did anything like this.” Twilight explained. Despite wanting to prepare themselves for anything with the elements of harmony, she knew it was impossible to reach them. The room in which the princesses sealed the elements inside could only be opened by the two of them, leaving Twilight and the other bearers helpless to do anything except wait. ‘This isn’t good. This isn’t good. Where are you, Princess?’ She said to herself. “What in the world is that?” Rarity shouted out over the rumbling of the ground. When all the others turned her direction, they were equally shocked. Massive storm clouds were gathered in the far distance. The bright bolts of lightning flashing constantly were heard even from their position. The strangest part about it was the storm itself; the clouds were visibly moving and shifting on their own, completely against the way clouds worked in all of Equestria. Another extremely odd feature was that the storm seemed to be growing out from its position, another impossible feat for clouds. Twilight had no explanation for what she was witnessing. “Girls, I feel like something bad is going to happen.” All of them were so distracted by the storm, that none of them noticed the object coming towards the ground behind them in the distance. --- “Rrraaaaaaahhhh! RRRR! Rahhh!”The ki around him was now splitting the ground outward, creating fissures twenty feet deep. The many crippled buildings scattered in the once great and regal city of Hoovesdale began splintering and collapsing to the ground from the earthquake rocking the equestrian landscape. Rocks floated up in the air, being carried by the sheer force shifting through the area. Celestia had to brace her legs tight as she stumbled backwards. She noticed that her sister was having the same problem that she was. Her concern however wasn’t with her uneven balance; her mind focused entirely on the figure that was causing the calamity to her world. While she wanted to try and do something, she was too terrified to even move as the saiyan continued to charge his unbelievable power. “This can’t be happening.” She whispered to herself. “RrraaaaaaAAAAAAAAAHHHHH! Raahahahahahaaahha! Muahahahahahhaha!” Broly’s cold laugh rang through the sky, overpowering the loud crashes of thunder of the lightning bursting all around. Then, he felt him reach the level. The level of power that he needed. ‘Now, this world shall tremble under my power.’ Music link The glow and sounds around Broly subsided, almost seeming to freeze time as an eerie calm fell to the area. The two alicorns stared as the saiyan simply stood in his spot unmoving, until he screamed out louder than ever before as his eyes glowed green. “RRAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!” his scream rang inside of their ears, and then- BOOOOM! A massive green explosion enveloped the warrior, obliterating the ground around him as it spread outward. The flash was so bright it caused both princesses to hide their eyes behind their wings, shielding them from the blinding light. After it cleared, they opened their eyes, but the sight they saw was much worse than before. Broly's body appeared to have nearly tripled in size as he floated inches off of the ground. His muscles were engorged beyond the normal proportions that his body should have had. Shoulders bulged up to near the top of his head, looking almost uncomfortable. Even his height had grown, making him taller than even Celestia by two feet. The true power that he had inside of him was awakened. The two sisters stared in terror as Broly ended his grunting and grinned at them. His now white eyes stared through their souls, causing a shiver to run down their spines. The nightmare that had been tormenting them for weeks had now come true. Even as he stood before them, it seemed too incredible to believe. Broly lifted a finger and pointed at his trembling opponents. "Now Celestia, I choose you to be the next of my victims!" His cold voice said. The next instant, he launched out from his spot and barreled down towards the princesses much faster than he had moved before. The two alicorns barely had enough time to jump out of the way as the monstrous Saiyan crashed into the spot had been moments before. As Celestia flew up into the air, only to have a massive hand reach out and grab her by her back leg. Yelping out as she was yanked back down, she was quickly silenced by another fist connecting with her stomach. Buckling over as she lost all air, she then felt herself being spun like a frisbee and chucked outward. Luna kicked off of a small rock outcropping and flew towards Broly. Blasting a bolt of lightning from her horn, she watched in shock as he simply flew towards her, the attack striking his chest with no apparent effect. As he tried to punch her in her face, Luna ducked under it as the gigantic arm brushed past her mane. Bringing her own hoof foreword, she punched him right in the chin. As she connected however, she gasped when she saw he didn't even blink. "Hehehe, how pathetic." Broly chuckled as he buried his fist into Luna's abdomen, lifting her four feet off the ground. She coughed as a small stream of blood came out of her mouth, but was immediately grabbed by the neck and thrown outward through a tree that was standing nearby. As he watched the blue alicorn bounce across the dirt, Broly turned to see Celestia flying towards him. "Ah, I like that you want some more!" Celestia conjured several spheres of condensed magic and shot them forward. The yellow balls spun through the air in a tight formation before colliding with each other inches from where Broly was standing. The explosion from the magic blasted rock and dirt high in the air, raining back down on the area. Celestia smiled at her attack... Only to have it fall off her face as Broly flew through the cloud of smoke without a single mark on him. Broly brought his right hand up to his left shoulder and swung out to smack Celestia with a backhanded blow. She quickly ducked under it, but was met with Broly's left hand following quickly after with a Ki blast charged up. She screamed out as his open fist and ki smacked into the side of her body and blasted her across the area. When she skidded to a stop in the dirt, she cringed at the burn mark on her side. Her concern with her pain faded as she heard Broly charging at her like a mad buffalo. The charging Saiyan laughed as he saw the fear in the ponies face before him. His mind relished the images that were being created as he pictured unleashing his strength upon her weak form. He was in such a trance of thrill and pleasure that he did not notice the ball of blue magic coming from the side and striking him in his face. Digging his heels into the ground, Broly turned to see Luna flying through the sky towards the center of the wrecked city. Grunting, he turned and flew after her. "Looks like she wants to die first." (Music ends) --- In the wreckage of Hoovesdale, Shining Armor struggled as he hobbled down the street on his three good legs. His injured limb hung limp on his side, still out of its socket. He had felt the massive change of pressure in the atmosphere after the immediate fight the princesses had with the strange being. Now that the explosions had continued, he knew he had to get out of the city. He grimaced as he continued to hobble down the obliterated street between the crumbling buildings of the once peaceful and quaint town. His mind was racing as he recounted what had happened to him. 'Who in the world was that monster? How is he so powerful? And... How does the princess know who and what he is?' That last question he asked himself was perhaps the most troubling to him. Princess Celestia claimed that she knew what kind of creature he was despite the fact that he had never even heard of anything like it. Not only that, she knew him by name! Unless it was something that he missed, the princess had been keeping a secret from himself and the other guards. His thoughts were broken when he saw Luna flying towards him. "Princess!" He called out. Luna looked down to him, but before she could speak, Broly burst through the side of the building and clasped a fist around her face. Flying across the street, he slammed her face into the side of the other building and drug her through the stone facing of the wall, crumbling the structure as they passed it. Once through the entire building, he let go of her andwatched as she flopped down onto the ground. He laughed at the cuts and bruises all across her body, steadily sapping her strength. Shining gazed in horror at the transformation Broly had undertaken. The sheer size of the hulking behemoth towered high above his own head, overshadowing his own seemingly petite form. His heart skipped several beats as Broly turned his head towards him, his cold eyes piercing his own gaze. “So, I see that you are still alive. I’m impressed.” The tall warrior commented. Shining felt his blood run cold as Broly rushed forward and grabbed him by his one good foreleg and lifted him off the ground. He tried to focus his horn to teleport, but his exhausted body was too worn out to conjure another spell. As he attempted to thrash out of the strong hand, the sudden tightening of the grip and the feeling of his leg bone cracking sent overloading waves of pain to his mind, pushing out all other feelings as he screamed out in agony. “Broly!” The smiling saiyan turned to the sound of his name to see Celestia landing on the ground next to her semi conscious sister. Broly laughed as he shook the screaming stallion in his hand. “Would you like to have your pet back, Celestia?” Tossing the crippled Shining Armor through the air, he laughed hysterically as the pony landed with a hard thud into the dirt and skidded towards the two alicorns. Celestia had so many emotions coursing through her body as she bent down to her injured sister that she was having a hard time deciphering which one was the strongest. Fear, anger, concern, hatred, adrenaline. All were spinning inside in a swirling mass at the same time. After spacing out for a few seconds, she finally swallowed and spoke. “Why do you do this? What purpose does causing this destruction serve you?” Broly stared at her for a moment before chuckling to himself. “Why do I do this? Answer me this, Celestia, have you felt free before?” Celestia lifted an eyebrow to what he said. “What do you mean? You are pointlessly taking innocent lives.” “There is always a point to things that I do. The countless peoples, villages, cities, nations kingdoms… planets I have ravaged mean everything to me despite what you believe. If it were not for them, I would not be able to feel the freedom of complete annihilation…” Broly paused as he took a deep breath, his body in bliss as he spoke. “For my joy is immense when I hear the cries of anguish, and my heart feels content when I watch the hellfire rising over a once peaceful and untainted land.” Celestia felt sweat drip down her fur as the warrior continued his speech. “Not one fiend or demon lord has ever created this much widespread damage and enjoyed every waking second of it in the process! No god of war or army of thousands has tasted the fruits of carnage as much as I have, and kept wanting more, and more!” Broly grinned as he watched the white princess trembling under his gaze. “Now Celestia, you must be wondering why I am even telling you this.” “This is simply to let you know that I am no cold hearted monster. I am never more happy than when I see someone like you in despair as you stand over your injured and crippled sister! Hahahaha!” Broly’s cold voice echoed across the destroyed city as the three ponies lay in terror under his gaze. the tall warrior lifted an arm up and turned his open palm towards them as his green ki built up. “I thoroughly enjoyed the small challenge that you gave me today. Now die, like the rest of this world will.” Before he fired, however, he stopped himself and stared past the ponies and gave a perplexed look. Confused, Celestia turned around to view the sight. As like Broly, she was also dumbfounded by what she saw...or in better terms, who. > coming aid > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- Celestia sat open mouthed, stunned by figure standing on the top of the crumbled building behind her. From her position, she couldn't see the face of the being since it was so far away, but she could tell what he appeared to be. The being stood bipedal on his hind legs with his arms hanging down his sides. He wore a bright orange gi that covered his upper lower half with a blue belt wrapped around his waist. The top of his head sported a mess of black hair that stuck out in several different directions. It was a look that Celestia immediately recognized the moment she saw it as the one she witnessed just weeks before. "G-Goku?" Broly's gaze was focused up to the new figure as well, his face twisted in anger. "K-Kakarot!?" He growled as he clenched his fists. He could not believe that he was looking at the one that had nearly killed him before he crashed on this planet. As he stared for a few more moments however, he noticed a different face than before. a small grin spread across his mouth as he chuckled. "Oh, now this is amusing." Goku suddenly levitated off of the building before flying down towards all of them down below. He rushed through the air and landed on the ground between Broly and the ponies. Now that he was on the ground so close to them, Celestia realized several things about him that were different from what she remembered; here he appeared to only be a little over four feet tall, shorter than she was. Not only that, his body seemed much more petite than it was before, along with his hair shorter than she saw he had normally, Then It hit her. This wasn't Goku. The new being turned his head to look at the confused alicorn, allowing her to see his young face. The moment she saw it, her mind immediately recognized him as another one of the ones that had fought Broly alongside all of the others on that planet. Goku's own son, Gohan. Luna focused her eyes as she laid up to the new arrival as she laid on the ground. She couldn't even fathom how this was even plausible to be happening; one of the warriors she had seen fight the monster before her was now on her own home world. Before she could think anymore however, her head fell to the ground as she momentarily lost the strength to hold it aloft. Gohan turned back at the monster Broly that stood in front of him. being only half of Broly's height, his body showed no fear as he stood straight and poised. "Broly, you are truly evil to be doing such things to these gentle creatures." Broly simply chuckled at the weak insult that came his way from the petite being. "What do you expect from the greatest warrior ever to have existed? I do what amuses me." Gohan turned to the ponies behind him, his eyes filled with concern. "Are you alright?" He asked them. Celestia swallowed the small lump in her throat and nodded. "Y-yes. We are alright, Gohan." The young half saiyan's eyes went wide in confusion at what she said. "Wait, how do you know my name?" Before she could respond, Celestia's eyes saw the movement behind Gohan as it came up on him. Turning back forward, Gohan watched as Broly rushed at him, fist clenched. Quickly jumping, Gohan flipped backwards and landed on his hands and pushed him up into the air above Broly's massive swinging hand. Flying up into the sky, he put himself away from the gargantuan Saiyan and landed back onto the ground. Glaring, Gohan stood back up and put his clenched fists up in front of his face. Yelling out, he threw his hands down by his sides and was enveloped in a flash of golden aura. His hair turned into a bright and shining gold tone as it pulsed up and down in the current from his body. Opening his eyelids, his normally dark brown eyes were now a bright blue hue. He turned into a super sayian. Chuckling to himself, Broly opened up his palm and charged up a Ki blast. "Do you honestly believe that you have the power to defeat me? You should wait for your father and your pathetic friends to come here and die alongside yo- "Special Beam Cannon!" Broly was cut off as he looked to his right to see a rushing beam surrounded by spiraling energy coming right at him. Grunting out of frustration, he swung his arm out and struck the blast away from it, redirecting it up into the sky. His eyes went up to the position where the attack came from, locking onto the familiar white cape draped over the green namekian in a purple gi he had fought back on his dying world. Grunting, Broly cracked the knuckles in his fists one by one as he stretched them out and retightened them. "You again, hmm? What was your name again? Piccolo?" Smirking, Piccolo took off the white cap he wore on his head and tossed it to the side. "We sensed several days ago that you were still alive. We knew that you would try and make your way to our world, so we chose to come and finish you off before you ever arrived." "Heh heh, you want to get crushed alongside this piece of trash?" Music Link "I believe that you are the one who is going to die today." Another voice said from behind. Turning around, Broly watched another saiyan float down onto the street. Wearing yellow and white armor over a tight blue suit, the warrior touched down on the ground. His arms were crossed in front of his chest, forcing his ripped biceps to stick out through the thin material covering his arms. His tall hair was also a golden color like Gohan's, the rare trait of a super sayian. Grinning, Broly turned around and faced the newcomer. "So, the saiyan prince has come along as well." Vegeta kept his glare directed at the Titan in front of him. "I am surprised that you are even alive after your planet was annihilated. Hmm., no matter. I am going to send you to the oblivion myself this time!" "Ha ha ha! You honestly believe that you have what it takes to kill me?" Broly chuckled before stopping and looking around once again for any other newcomers. To his surprise, no others came down. "Hmm? Where is Kakarot?" Celestia's and Luna's heart jumped at the sound of that name. Their happiness however was stripped away when they looked over to Gohan, his face stricken with pain and guilt. His silence was enough for the two princesses to deduce what his answer would be. "No..." Celestia whispered. Broly also caught on to the response as well. "Kakarot is dead?" He couldn't believe what he had just found out. The one being he wanted his revenge on had somehow perished when he himself couldn't finish him off. His mind began racing on who or what besides himself could have been strong enough to have accomplished that task in such a short time since they had just last fought. He gritted his teeth in anger knowing that he was not the one to finish off the warrior Goku. His anger was then replaced with amusement as he began chuckling again. "No matter then. If Kakarot is dead, then he shall have the privilege of watching his son die while he sits In the afterlife." Vegeta grunted at hearing that statement. "You believe that Kakarot is the only one that you should be worrying about? My power has grown since the last time we have fought. You should learn your place and be kneeling at my feet, you giant freak." Music link "Oh? Then why don't you show me your new power!" Broly yelled as he charged up a Ki blast and launched it at the prince. Vegeta quickly flew up into the sky as the blast destroyed the ground where he was standing. Putting his palms together, he began rapidly shooting a volley of Ki blasts towards Broly. The bright yellow balls erupted in Bright flashes as they connected onto their target. As the smoke cleared, Broly stood unaffected with a grin on his face. "I thought you had said your power has increased in this time? Please tell me you have more." Piccolo threw the cape off of his back and rushed in towards Broly, Gohan flew through the air after him. Both warriors began unleashing a barrage of punches onto the tall sayian. Their powerful strikes struck his body over and over, yet Broly didn't even flinch as they hit him every time. After several seconds of taking their hits, He reached out and gripped each one of them around their heads and threw them across the clearing, Gohan crashed through a wall across the street. Vegeta came rushing through the sky and shot more Ki blasts at Broly. As the blasts struck his back, Vegeta continued forward and brought a knee into his targets back. Flipping forward and over, he kicked downward and brought his leg down onto Broly's shoulder. Attempting to swing back around and kick him in the face, Broly's large hand reached up and grabbed his ankle and yanked him down into the ground. Vegeta yelled out as he felt his body crash through the stone street and become buried into the dirt below. Broly prepared to to shoot a blast down the hole he formed, but was distracted as another Ki blast collided with his side. Looking over, he watched Gohan flying at him again. The teenage warrior brought his right leg forward and collided with Broly's chest, quickly followed by his body spinning around and his left heel connecting with the side of Broly's head. After these hits, like all the other ones, Broly sat unfazed to the trouble of the half saiyan. A second later, Broly's large fist crashed into Gohan's stomach. Lifting him off the ground, Broly brought his other hand up, and attempted to strike Gohan again, but the young warrior reacted quickly and Kicked away the Incoming punch. As he tried to fly back, Gohan shot out several Ki blasts as Broly ran right at him. Charging through the energy coming at him, Broly laughed as he gripped Gohan around the throat, causing him to gasp out for air. Not giving his victim a chance to escape, Broly brought his other fist and connected several hits into the teenagers midsection. Coughing up blood, his eyes lost focus as his body went limp for a moment. Piccolo crawled up from the ground, his eyes wide with panic at what he saw. "No, Gohan!" Rushing forward, Piccolo focused and shot out a large blast right at Broly's face. Dropping Gohan, the large saiyan kicked off the ground and brought his arm out and slammed it into Piccolo's chest. Swinging him around, Broly slammed him into the ground and brought his leg down hard onto the namekian's left arm, crushing all of the bones above his elbow like they were nothing. Piccolo's scream echoed across the entire area, piercing Celestia's eardrums as she sat by her sister. While she was still confused and dumbfounded on what was happening, her anger began to take over her body. fueled by the carnage she was being forced to witness; these people came to help them and she was sitting there doing nothing. She had to at least try to help. Charging up her horn, she conjured a bright ball of fire and shot it through the air. Broly turned his attention away from the crippled being beneath him and fired a Ki blast into the incoming attack, both exploding in a bright flash. Grunting, Broly stepped off of Piccolo and faced the princess. "Hm, I had forgotten about you, Celestia. You wish to lessen the small amount of time you have to live?" "If they want to help us, then I will fight as well." She sneered at him, "I don't care how powerful you are, you will not destroy our home." Chuckling, Broly lifted his palm at her with a grin. "Perhaps you should just stay out of my way." her horn glowed bright as a Ki ball came at her. Creating a shield around herself and the now passed out Luna and Shining Armor, she braced herself as the blast struck her barrier, nearly cracking it to pieces. Broly chuckled as he charged up another blast and shot it at her, breaking the shield this time. Broly let out a cold laugh as Celestia fell to her knees. "You actually think you have a chance to stop my power? Do you really believe that you can defeat me!?" Celestia closed her eyes as another blast came at her. As she awaited the inevitable though, nothing came. Raising her head up, she saw Gohan standing their with his arms crossed in front of his face, his body covered in scorch marks from blocking the attack. The sun princess couldn't explain the feeling inside of her heart from seeing this complete stranger risking his life by throwing himself in the way. Broly laughed at display oh heroics. "It is so cute that you would do that for a pathetic life form like them, Gohan. It is useless, they are all going to perish alongside you." His grin suddenly disappeared when he looked up into the sky behind his opponents. Confused, they all turned around to see what was happening. When hey did, their heart rates increased dramatically. Vegeta was hovering above the city, his palms together in front of him as he yelled. Ki pulsed out from him with such force that several structures below him crumbled from the pressure. Between his hands, a flash of bright yellow pulsed out every few seconds, along with trails of electricity bursting out. His grunts and yells were hardly being drowned out from the lightning striking out of the sky constantly. The ground itself began rocking from the massive power rushing outwards. He screamed out as the energy emitting from him grew larger. "Broly!" He screamed out, "prepare to face the true power of the prince of saiyan's!" Piccolo crawled out of his spot on the ground and flew out as fast as he could. "Gohan! We have to get out of here now! He is going to do it!" Celestia sat confused at the entire situation. "What's happening, what is he going to do!?" Flipping around, Gohan faced the confused alicorn with a stern look in his eyes. "No time to explain! Can you fly?" "W-What?" "Can you fly!?" He screamed! "I- yes!" She stuttered. "Then get out of here now!" He yelled as he bent down and picked up Shining Armor and flew up into the sky after Piccolo. Celestia had no idea what was going on, but from what Gohan's reaction, she couldn’t iamgine it wasn't anything good. Using her magic, she picked up her sister and laid her across her back and flew up after the retreating Gohan. Broly sat staring at the spectacle in the air. He could feel the energy coming from Vegeta, but chuckled to himself. "Let's see; you are going to try and take me out in a single blow. I hate to disappoint you, but it will take more than to kill me and- "FINAL FLASH!" Music Link A beam of yellow Ki over two hundred feet blasted out from Vegeta and shot through the sky. Every building left standing in Hoovesdale was ripped to pieces as the energy screamed towards the shocked Broly. "What the hell!?" He screamed out. Charging his own Ki, Broly enveloped his body with a shield. The energy beam crashed into his own, and to his surprise began pushing him backwards. He felt his shield break through several buildings before his shield shattered completely. He yelled out as his body was then caught in the powerful beam and launched away from the city, carrying him for miles. Trying to fly out against it, he found himself helplessly stuck inside the enormous wall of power. Celestia flipped around, her body suddenly trembling from the gargantuan stream of energy seemingly ripping through the atmosphere itself and distorting every cloud within a mile radius. After another moment, the blast dissipated, leaving a tear in the ground over three hundred feet across and stretching for as far as she could see. Every building in Hoovesdale had been obliterated, left as chunks of rocks scattered across the land. Her heart skipped several beats at the sight of destruction. She hadn’t seen destructive power of that level since before Discord’s first entrapment. Piccolo grunted at the entire sight. “Vegeta you fool. He shouldn’t have done that. It didn’t even make a difference.” Hearing that made Celestia flip her head to the tall green warrior. “What!? How can Broly be alive after that? He has to be dead!” No…” Gohan commented, “He is still alive. I can sense it. He will be back soon.” Heart racing, the princess could not believe how any being could survive after a blast like that. Her thoughts then went to the very presence of the ones before her. “How did you know where to find us?” “We sensed Broly’s power back on Earth three days ago…” Piccolo answered, “Realizing he was alive, we knew we had to come and stop him before he could cause any more destruction.” “Thank you for this. If you did not show up, we would’ve…” Celestia paused when she saw the look on Gohan’s face. “What is it?” “How did you know who I was? I never mentioned my name.” Gohan questioned. Taking a deep breath, Celestia realized she had a lot to explain to them. Still carrying Luna, she knew she had to get her sister help. She looked back to the two in front of her and nodded. “Follow me back to my city. I will explain everything I know.” > Past secret > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- The entire flight back to Canterlot was silent as Celestia flew ahead of the following warriors. Neither her or the others had said a single word after they had left what was left of Hoovesdale. Laying across her back was her sister, her exhausted body limp as she was carried back. Glancing behind, Celestia noticed how Vegeta was staring right at her, his cold gaze piercing her own. While he had exited his super sayian form, the princess did not feel anymore comfortable. She felt herself shiver at the amount of hatred that was flowing from his eyes as he glared forward. She knew that Vegeta didn't trust her since she knew who they were despite never meeting. 'He may not be as sadistic as Broly is, but he is not much further behind.' She whispered to herself. To the rear of the group followed Piccolo, his one arm dangling to his side from being broken. While Celestia insisted that she offer to help him, he declined and said that he would take care of it his own way, which she had no idea what he meant. Deciding not to push it, she chose not to pester him anymore and left him to his own choice. Finally, Gohan flew ahead of the other two as he carried the unconscious Shining Armor over his back. He too had also returned to his normal form after the battle in the city. Of the three warriors, he seemed to be the only one who was not upset in anyway or form. Celestia saw something else inside of him, unlike the other two. Whatever it was, it made her feel easier. Coming up to the great capital, Celestia lowered her altitude until she came to the street lined with her royal guards. The moment she touched her hooves to the ground, over a dozen soldiers sprinted up to her side and gasped at what they beheld. "Princess, what happened!?" "Are you alright?" "What happened to Princess Luna!?" The bombardment of questions ended when the several z warriors dropped onto the ground behind the tall alicorn. Several guards stepped back as they gazed upon the strange beings that stood before them. Some however saw the injured Shining Armor in the arms of one of them and became fueled with anger at the sight. "Are these the ones that did this to you, Princess?" One of the guards shot out. Vegeta simply chuckled at the assumption. "If I was the one who had attacked your princess, I would have make sure there was nothing left of her in the end." Many of the royal guards crouched down as they prepared to face the arrogant prince, but stopped when their regal princess stood in front of them. "Stand down. These are not the ones who attacked me." Celestia ordered. All of the soldiers gave bewildered looks to their ruler, confused why she was protecting these oddities. Their eyes then turned back to Gohan as he carried Shining Armor towards them. "We aren't here for any trouble. We came to help you." The young half sayian stated. Celestia nodded his direction and turned back to the guards. He is right. They saved both my sister and myself from being killed." "Wh-what!?" All of the guards gasped at the same time. "I will explain everything that I know in due time. Right now, I need you guards to take Shining Armor to the emergency room of the castle and have work done on him immediately." Celestia stated. While still confused, the guards nodded and took Shining Armor from Gohan and sprinted up to the castle ahead of them. Several of the remaining soldiers trotted up to Celestia and bowed to her. "Do you want us to take Princess Luna as well?" "No, I will give her my own treatment. Thank you." Celestia turned back around to the trio of warriors. "Come, I will lead you to the castle as well." --- "Oh my gosh! What happened!?" Twilight screamed as she ran forward to her crippled brother. She cringed at The sight of his broken limbs as he hung over the back of two incoming guards. "What happened!?" "I'm not sure..." One of the guards answered, "He came like this and- "You don't know!? What do you mean you don't know!? Look at him!" She yelled at the top of her lungs. Applejack and Rainbow came up and help Twilight back. "Easy Twi, it wasn't their fault." Applejack said. "He was brought to the castle like this." The other guard stated, "Princess Celestia brought him along with several other strange creatures." "Wh-what?" Twilight stuttered. "Ooh! New are they nice? Do they like cake? How about a party!?" Pinkie shouted happily as she bounced up and down. Rarity shook her head at the party ponies idea. "Pinkie, I don't think that would be the best idea." The guards trotted past the group and made their way into the castle, leaving the element bearers still confused. Twilight took several deep breaths as she tried to calm herself after seeing her brother in that condition. "What in Equestria is going on here?" Fluttershy suddenly started shaking as she looked past all the others. "Wh-who are they?" She trembled. All of her friends turned around to see Princess Celestia walking up towards them... Closely followed by three bipedal beings behind her. All of them stared in shock as the strange creatures made their way up the steps towards the base of the castle, simply looking down at the six ponies before them. Vegeta simply grunted as he glared at the new set of creatures before him. "Hmph, more of these pathetic life forms. This is rediculous." All of the mane six gasped when they heard the sayian speak, only to be more surprised when the tall green one started talking. "That's enough Vegeta. We aren't causing problems here." Piccolo sneered at the prince, who in turn just grunted. Gohan frowned back at the before turning forward and walking up towards the group of silent ponies. "Hello, we aren't here to cause any problems to you. My name is Gohan." Seeing him smiling at her, Twilight felt herself relax. "Eh, Hi. I'm Twilight Sparkle. Nice to meet you." "Thank you. Sorry if we look scary to you all." "No, it's just..." Twilight shrugged her shoulders, "I've never seen a creature like you before." She noticed how he had no hint of shock at all when she spoke. "You... Aren't startled to see us?" Gohan lifted and eyebrow hearing that. "Why would I be confused? There are talking animals on our world everywhere." "Oh, alright then." Twilight nodded before looking at the two others behind Gohan. The one that really caught her eye was the tall green being, standing at least a head taller than Celestia. Being friendly and curious, she walked forward towards him. "And what's your name?" "I'm piccolo." The tall namekian answered. His blunt answer showed he didn't want to talk much, so Twilight didn't push it. The final one of the three sat with his arms crossed as he leaned against the railing of the stairs. Twilight shivered under his seemingly angry glare as he stared down at her. "And... Wh-what's yours?" She shakingly asked. "I am Prince Vegeta of the sayian race." Vegeta boldly stated out. Twilight eyes went wide hearing that. "A... A prince?" The sudden pink rush by her side nearly knocked her over as she tried to recatch her step. "What in the hay!?" Pinkie Pie skidded to a halt right in front of Vegeta and began bouncing up and down. "Hi, I'm Pinkie Pie! You are a prince? That means I should throw you a prince visiting party!" Vegeta stood up and gritted his teeth at the newcomer in front of him kept talking and talking. "Get away from me you annoying little pest!" Pinkie pie giggled before sprinting over towards Piccolo and Gohan. "Ooh, you're big and green! You look like a big green bean! Are you tasty!?" Piccolo grunted at the hyper pony, although Gohan chuckled at her antics. "Nice to meet you too, Pinkie." He responded with a smile. Before anyone else could talk and introduce themselves, Celestia spoke up, making all those their turn to her. "Now that we have all met, I want all of you to come with me. There is something I must explain." --- Walking through the corridors of the palace, the group of ponies and z warriors followed Celestia until they came to the royal library. Confused, Twilight quickly trotted up to her mentors side. "Princess, why are we going here?" Celestia kept her eyes locked forward as she made her way into the massive library. "There is something I must show to you Twilight, something I have kept secret for over thirty years." Piccolo heard what was said and grew confused as well. "Wait a minute, I thought you said you were going to tell us how you knew who we were?" Taking a deep breath, Celestia came up to a small bookcase that sat towards the back of the library. "I believe that this is connected to you as well." Levitating several books off the top shelf, a small lever came into view. Using her magic, Celestia pulled down on it,causing the entire bookcase to slide open, revealing a hallway behind it. Twilight raised a hoof to her mouth in astonishment at the trick. "What is that, Princess?" "This is a private study that only Luna and myself know of." Celestia answered, "And this is where I have kept the secret." Still confused, Twilight looked back to her friends. All of them had the same look of cluelessness as they followed their princess into the hallway. Trailing right behind was the trio of foreign warriors who remained silent. Walking along for a few minutes, the group came to a small room approximately thirty feet across, lined with several book cases and a couple of desks against the back wall. To the other side a small purple couch sat on the ground, where Celestia carried Luna over to and laid her down. The white alicorn charged up her horn, preparing to use her healing magic until Gohan walked up and knelt by her. Confused, she deactivated her magic and turn toward him. "What is it?" Gohan however was looking down at Luna, almost as if he was inspecting her body. After a moment, he gave a small smile. "She isn't too bad. She will be fine soon." Celestia stared wide eyed at him for saying that. "She is seriously injured. It will take a large amount of my magic to heal her." She then noticed him reach into his belt loop and pull out a small brown bag. "What are you doing?" Reaching inside of it, Gohan pulled out what appeared to be a small green bean and held it out for her. "Here, let her eat this. She will be better in no time." "Gohan, I don't think you should just be giving those away." Piccolo warned as eyed the bag. "Those are all we have." "She needs it Piccolo." Gohan retorted, "Since she is as strong as we felt, we could use her help." He turned back and lifted the bean to Celestia, "let her eat this. Trust me." Despite doubting what a bean could do, Celestia noticed how protective Piccolo was over them, she figured they must have been valuable. Enshrouding it in her magic, she lifted it out of the teenagers hand and turned back to her sister. Nudging her with a hoof, she tried to gently wake her up. "Luna. Luna." Luna slowly opened her eyes as she looked up to her sibling. "T-Tia?" Yes, it is me Luna." Celestia whispered. Levitating the small bean over, she took a deep breath and brought it close to her sisters muzzle. "Here, eat this. It will make you feel better." Being half awake, Luna simply opened her mouth and made room for the small item to enter her mouth. Chewing on it, she quickly swallowed the seemingly tasteless food. She sat still for a moment before her eyes shot wide open. "Woah!" To every pony's shock, Luna sat up immediately, completely alert and seemingly fully awake now. Stretching out her wings, Luna couldn't feel anymore pain from her injuries. In fact, it felt like all of her strength had returned as well. "This... This is incredible." She quietly stated. Celestia sat opened mouth at the sight. Judging by how hard her sister was injured, she was sure she would have stayed down for several days at minimum, yet in just seconds from eating the small piece of food, she miraculously recovered. "What in the world are those things?" Gohan gave a warm smile as he held the bag up. "These are senzu beans. They have great healing properties for anyone who eats them. Just one of them will return your body to full strength." "Remarkable!" Rarity exclaimed as she watched Luna stand up and move around effortlessly. "I have never heard of anything working like that." "That. Is. Awesome!" Rainbow Dash yelled out as she flew up above to the ceiling. "Could I have some of those things!? I would totally make the wonderbolts now if I could eat that during tryouts!" "No, you can't have them for fun." Piccolo grunted, "These are meant for saving your life when you are in combat to give yourself a quick recovery. They are too rare for just using for pointless activities." Rainbow glared and crossed her hooves in front of her chest. "Oh come on! You got a whole bag of those things!" "Actually, we only have about eight more in here." Gohan answered as he felt inside the small bag. "Then, why did you offer one to me then?" Luna asked. "You really needed it, and we could sense the power that you have. We can use all the help we can get against Broly." Luna gave a slight nod and a smile. "Thank you." Applejack sat quiet for a second before speaking up. "Hold on there. What in the hay is a Broly? Ah have never heard of anythin' like that before." "Before you go on blabbering to your subjects, you should tell us what you agreed to first." Vegeta grunted from the back of the room against the wall. "How did you know who we were before we gave our names to you?" Twilight tilted her head as she processed what she heard. "What? Princess, you knew them before they came here?" She sat still as her mentor didn't respond. "Princess?" Luna and Celestia stared at each other for several moments before nodding. Celestia focused her magic, enshrouding a small chest on the top of the book case down. "I may as well start from the very beginning. There is something that I have tried to keep hidden for over thirty years." Putting the box onto the ground, she opened up the lid, revealing the small item inside. Celestia looked back up to Vegeta. "You are not the first of your kind to come here." All of the ponies just tilted their heads in confusion at what it was. The three warriors however, including Vegeta, sat open mouthed at the small red glass piece attached to a silver box like frame. It was something they had all seen numerous times, and Vegeta had used many times himself. A scouter. > History > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- "Where did you get that?" Vegeta sternly asked as he stared down at the Scouter in the small chest. Twilight lifted her eyebrow curiously at the small item. It was unusual and made of metal, and it's shape was odd too. Whatever it was, she had never seen anything like it before. She looked up to see Gohan and his companions staring wide eyed at the item before them, and the princess sat with a look of spite. "Ummm, excuse me. What is going on here? What is this thing?" Celestia took a breath as she thought back to the secret that she had made all those years ago. Everything that she had tried to do to keep that day hidden from her subjects was now pointless with what has been happening. And with the arrival of Gohan and the others now, they would want to know how she had known about their kind as well. 'It is time I reveal everything to them.' "Everything started over thirty years ago." Celestia started, "Back when I was ruling Equestria while Luna was gone, everything was peaceful for years. No threat was eminent in our land, and ponies had been able to live without worry of threat from anything. In fact, many didn't even think there was a notable danger for them to have to worry about while living their lives. That however, was changed when they arrived from the sky." "They?" Piccolo questioned, now very curious though expertly not showing it. "Four large metal pods came out of the sky and crashed into the land outside of the Everfree Forest. I went myself to go and see what had happened. When I had arrived, four warriors had exited the pods and were standing there. All of them were wearing matching armor just like his." She pointed over to Vegeta, who grimaced at the story he was hearing. "When I had landed in front of them, they simply laughed at my presence and ordered the surrender of my homeland and threatened the destruction of everything if we did not give in to their demands." "Woah woah hold up!" Rainbow interjected and pointed at Vegeta, "Things like this thing right here came and tried to take over in the past? Why haven't we ever heard of this before!?" "Yes Rainbow Dash... They said that if I refused to surrender, they would destroy this world." "Their power was far superior to that of the strongest creatures in Equestria. Able to fly without wings, and could shoot out large magic like attacks that could destroy vast areas with ease. Seeing how dangerous they were, I knew that attempting to convince them to stop was pointless, so I had to do it." "Had to do what?" Gohan asked. "They attempted to fight me, so I had to do what was necessary to protect my home." Celestia looked around to the mane six as they gasped, realizing what she meant in saying that. The others however just sat silently, sitting still while the princess continued to tell her tale. "After I defeated them, I destroyed their ships and other things to hide the evidence of their coming. Hoping to hide that horrible time from my ponies and praying that more wouldn’t come after." You attempted to had everything that had happened under the radar to keep the truth hidden..." Piccolo grunted, "That never works... We can assure you." "I wanted to try and keep whatever things related to them a secret to try and protect the ponies. If they knew there was a race of aliens attempting to destroy them, panic would spread everywhere in an instant. But even when I had saved my home, I was cautious because of the warning that I had received from the saiyans before they passed on." Celestia looked around to the others, "their master Frieza would come and kill me." "Frieza!?" Gohan and Piccolo yelled in unison and startling the ponies. Vegeta grinded his teeth at the sound of that name. "That damn freak!" The Saiyan prince growled. Celestia raised an eyebrow curiously at their reactions. "You knew him?" That alien took over the Saiyan race and used us for his own personal goals..." Vegeta aggressively explained, "and when he saw that our powers were growing and could become a threat to him, he blew up our home world and obliterated our race to near extinction." What!? That's horrible!" Twilight exclaimed, "how could any creature be that heartless and cruel?" "Ya mean he just didn't want y'all anymore and just killed all of ya? That is terrible!" Applejack added. Celestia began piecing together the connection. "When did he destroy your home?" "Thirty years ago." The prince sternly answered. The solar princess sat for a moment as she thought to herself. 'That must have been around the same time when they attacked my home. No wonder no more of them came. They had all died.' She looked back up to Vegeta. "I am sorry for your loss. Losing every other member of your race must be painful." "Hmph... My anger for that event is still powerful, but I don't let that distract me my goals for power." The two princesses both felt the arrogance coming from the Saiyan prince. Deciding to ignore it, Celestia continued her explanation. "After I tried covering up their arrival, I waited for the horrible chance that more would come soon. At the same time, I had to deal with a number of ponies who did in fact know of what happened. Soon something else happened... Another large ship crashed into The mountains, this one from Earth." "A ship from earth?" Gohan yelled, "When was this?" Ten years ago. When it had crashed, I prepared to go and protect my home again, but when I arrived I was surprised. The creatures inside looked like saiyans, but were called humans. They did not threaten my home, but in fact pleaded for my help from their crash landing. Feeling pity for them, I carried the three that survived back to the castle and hid them in this very room. I tried to help them as fast as I could, but two were far too injured to save." "The third one was able to last through the immediate struggle. As he began recovering, I had learned they were on a deep space mission but has lost all control in theirs ship and just coincidentally crashed here. He explained different things about his world, and how I learned they were different than the harsh ways of the saiyans. Unfortunately, he developed a horrible infection internally from his wounds. By the time I realized it, it was too late. He and the others I had buried out of respect, and like the other ships, I destroyed to keep the other worlds secret." "I once again had the problem of keeping everything a secret. More ponies began questioning the strange thing that had crashed down. Some had even claimed that they had seen the human craft before i could get rid of it. Then I had an idea to convince all the ponies it was all make believe..." Celestia let out a light sigh, "I wrote stories of humans coming to Equestria." "WHAT!?" All the ponies besides Luna screamed. "Wait a second..." Twilight demanded, "You mean that series of stories that I that talk about... Humans? One of which YOU gave me!?" "Yes... I believed creating a make believe fiction of creatures from another world coming here... Ponies would think the few rumors going around were all just false." "But... How could any pony just push aside what was said by stories?" Celestia cast a small grin, "Did you ever believe those stories were real?" Before she said anything, Twilight thought to herself, "N-no, I thought they were just make believe. They seemed too fake to be real." "Then my idea did work. I saw a little and harmless lie was better than a horrible truth to what almost happened to our home. And after a short time, all the rumors turned into myth, and no pony ever thought to think twice. And after Luna had returned, I explained to her everything that had happened in her absence. Being my own sister, I couldn't keep something this important from her. After another year however, we figured the threat was all behind us. But then we felt his power." We began feeling powerful surges coming from outside of our world..." Luna stated, "whatever it was, it was something unlike anything we felt before. And then three weeks ago, the true surge of power hit us." Gohan nodded his head. "That was the same time we fought him." His strange awakening was felt all the way from here. Having to see this ourselves, my sister and I combined our magic and observed the fight you all had with Broly." The room sat silent for a few minutes, all of the figures in the room as they exchanged glances with each other as they contemplated what to say next, to which Pinkie Pie did. "Soooo... You guys still have to worry about that meanie face alien Frieza now? He sounds super strong if he blew up a world." Vegeta chuckled to himself. "Hmph, he no longer even compares to the power that we possess now. Besides, Frieza was nearly killed several years ago on this green ones planet..." Pointing a finger at Piccolo, "He then tried to come to Earth for revenge, but was killed by my son Trunks." Both Luna and Celestia locked eyes with each other upont hearing the name. In all the commotion that had happened, they never noticed how Trunks was not at the battle back in Hoovesdale. "Wait... Where is your son?" Vegeta crossed his arms again and leaned back against the wall. "Well, since you seem to know who he is I will explain. The trunks you saw was in fact my son from the future, who had travelled back in time to warn us of another threat approaching." Rainbow dash started rubbing her head with her hoof in confusion. "Ok I am seriously lost now. What in the hay are all of you talking about now? First you start with stuff about the princess fighting evil aliens, now you add in time travel. What next; you gonna say robot things created by an evil scientist were coming to kill you? Piccolo couldn't help but chuckle at the coincidence. "Well, if you wanted to know, they were androids, not normal robots." Rainbow blankly stared at the namekian for several seconds before slumping onto the ground. "My brain hurts." Both Gohan and Piccolo began explaining how Trunks had travelled to their time to warn them of the coming of Dr. Gero, a scientist who was creating the perfect weapons: androids. Cybernetic warriors that appeared to look like people, but were extremely powerful. He also warned them of the arrival of Cell, a being of unbelievable power and was bent on destroying Earth. The ponies all listened intently to the story of their struggle to protect their home against this thing that seemed unreal in power. "Excuse me..." Luna interjected, "If you were dealing with this creature named Cell, when did you ever have the chance to fight Broly?" "When Cell had reached his full power, he gave us nine days to train and then challenge him in a final battle for our world.During those nine days, we had the unfortunate chance of being tricked to go to another world, to which we met Broly." Piccolo answered. "After the fight with him, we had returned home and then prepared to fight Cell." The two princesses were then beginning to understand everything. "And... During this fight... Goku died?" Celestia asked. Gohan immediately clenched his fists at the name of his father. He lowered his head and stared at the floor as the others looked at him with sorrow. "Yes... He did die then." Gohan quietly responded. "I had a chance to end Cell. But... When I should have finished him off as soon as I could have, I tried to make Cell suffer for all the pain he had caused. Because I was stupid, he gained the chance to blow up our home, but my father gave his life and transmitted himself and Cell off our world." Rarity, Pinkie Pie and Fluttershy felt tears beginning to fall from their eyes when they imagined the pain this seeming Gohan must have gone throguh. He had seen his father sacrifice himself right in front of him, and despite being as strong as he was, he was still only a child witnessing something so powerful. "I-I-I am so sorry." Fluttershy stuttered out. Taking several deep breaths, the teenage Saiyan looked up. "It's alright. He did what he saw as the best thing to do and saved our world. We defeated Cell, bringing safety to our home. After he saw the threat was gone, Trunks returned to his own time. So... We now know each others past. Now is what we should focus on. Broly is back, and he may destroy every world in the entire universe unless we stop him here... Together." > Manehatten's Fate > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- Floating gently on the surface of the ocean, Broly stared up into the sky as the water splashed around him. The blast of the attack had carried him over five hundred miles away from the decimated town of Hoovesdale. While his own shield of KI had broken with the initial attack, his body itself was not too damaged. Only several burn patches were seen across his chest and the pants he wore. That wasn't what was on his mind at the moment though. At first when he had been sent off in the distance, he felt a large amount of hatred boiling through his veins. Initially, he was furious at learning he was going to be stuck on this world with no way to get off since the local life was far behind in technology. Then, when Gohan and the others had arrived, he felt more anger seeing the ones that had caused him to crash onto this world coming to fight him again. He also felt hatred at being launched into the distance by that pathetic excuse for the prince of saiyans. As he laid in the water now, however, all of those feelings were gone from his mind as he realized what he had now. The most troublesome of the ones from before, Goku, was gone and out of his way. Even Trunks not being here made it that much easier for him to just do as he pleased. With only the few warriors that came along with the weak powers of the princesses, he had nothing to worry about now. But seeing his victory I. Sight wasn't what made him happy. It was something much better than that. Since Gohan and the others were here, that meant one important thing. Like him, it would have been impossible for them to have crossed the galaxy through the vacuum of space and not perish in their attempt. They had to come here in the one thing that he needed to get off of this miserable planet. A ship. "Hmahaha! Those fools..." Broly chucked to himself. "They have just sealed the fate of their world by coming here." Lifting his head up, he suddenly burst up and out of the lake, displacing all the water within a seventy foot radius of himself from the sheer force of his Ki. Flying up in the air, he grinned as he looked to the direction from where the blast sent him from, using his own force to locate where they had all gone. After a moment, he sensed their Ki miles passed the city, all congregated in another area. Like a lion ready to pounce, he popped his knuckles several times as he thought about how much fun he was going to have when he destroyed this world that he was sitting on. "Finally, I can get off this disgusting excuse for a world. Once I reach them and take that ship, I will slaughter every last one of those pathetic ponies before I blow up Kakarot’s home!" Shooting through the air, he flew straight towards the Ki he sensed in the distance as he laughed to himself. "I will show them all I am the true saiyan of legend!" --- Inside of the small hidden chamber, Gohan sat against the wall next to piccolo. Along with Celestia, they were the only ones still in the room since Luna and the others had gone to help prepare for anything that could happen. And Vegeta, was off on his own somewhere that they didn't know. Celestia continued to eye the featured limb of the green namekian. "Just let me have a chance to heal it real fast." She asked him again. Piccolo grunted as the alicorn continued to offer her treatment on his broken arm. "I told you I will be fine. I can fix it myself." "Your arm is broken in two places. Give me a moment and I will be able to mend it back to normal." The namekian frowned. If he could have, he would just tear off his broken limb and allow his body to regenerate it back. The problem though is doing something like that in front of these ponies would have caused a panic say the least. And having to leave to go and do it alone would have been a hassle. He looked over to Gohan, who simply just shrugged his shoulders. Grunting again, Piccolo just sat down in the seat behind him and lifted his broken arm up. "Here." Trotting up to him, Celestia lowered her horn up to his arm and placed it against his skin. A moment later, a flow of golden energy began to travel from her onto him, passing into his cells and giving off a warm sensation. Piccolo was now actually amazed by the act. He could feel the bones inside of his body actually begin to shift and mend themselves back into the original places. After another few moments of mending, the princess lifted her head up from him and smiled. "I believe that is fine now." Shifting his arm around, Piccolo could feel it was still sore, but that it was no longer broken anymore. He was amazed at how quickly she was able to heal it, even faster than Dende back on his own world. Squeezing his fists a few times, turned towards her before smiling. "Hmm, thanks." "That's pretty cool. What else can you do?" Gohan asked with a big smile. "Well, magic can do quite a few things actually. It can be used to simply lift things for convenience..." Celestia levitated a small book off of a table to demonstrate, "or as I just did, can be used for healing injuries." "And I saw that you were able to use it for attacks like earlier too." The teenage Saiyan added. The smile disappeared off the princesses face. "Yes, but I am never too fond of ever having to use it for that reason." "Sometimes you have to resort to that for what is best though." Piccolo remarked. "Still, if I could possibly ever avoid the threat of violence, I would." Celestia turned and began to make her way towards the stairs. "I have worked so hard to keep our world at peace, and now this creature comes and threatens to destroy everything I love." "And that's why we are here to help you." Gohan said as he followed her out. "I will not sit by while another innocent race is hurt by him." Celestia smiled again. "Thank you Gohan. Now, let us see what the others are doing now." --- "You want us to just sit here!?" Twilight shouted out. Princess Luna was standing outside of the door to the elements of harmony, with Twilight and the others directly behind her. "Twilight, I can't risk having you and your friends get into danger like this. I- "So you want me to just sit back while the one that hurt my brother is coming!?" "Easy Twi, ya can't act like this." Applejack insisted, trying to calm her friend down. "But I just... I..." Twilight stopped and clenched her eyes shut, holding back the few tears that threatened to fall down her face. Her emotions were all clashing against each other ever since she saw Shining Armor like that when he arrived to the palace. She didn't want to just sit back and wait while others were going to risk their lives. "I don't want to just sit here. I want to help you." "And you can. I need you all to have the elements of Harmony ready for when we have the chance." Using her magic, Luna opened up the large doors, revealing the small chest containing the elements. Levitating it over, she opened it up and set it down onto the ground in front of them. "When we have the chance, you can use the opportunity to use the elements in hope to stop Broly." "Uh, beg your pardon?" Rarity questioned with a hint of fear in her voice. "What do you mean by 'in hope'? Do you not think the elements will work?" "Come on Rarity, you really gonna think like that?" Rainbow said as she put a hoof to her chest, "the elements can stop anything. There is no way that they won't save the day." "That's the spirit Dashie!" Pinkie happily cheered as she hopped, "after we save the day, I say we throw a super big party for two things!" "Um, two?" Fluttershy whispered. "Yep! One for saving the day, and another for Gohan being new here!" Pinkie then stopped and tilted her head, "well, actually, we should have three more parties after that too. One for saving the day, another for Gohan coming here..." She emphasized by raising a hoof for each party, before two somehow appeared out of nowhere along with her first two, "and another for Piccolo and then Vegeta too. Even though he is grumpy, Vegeta should have a party to cheer him up!" Luna sat open mouthed at the seemingly impossible feat of sprouting hoofs, but shook her head and just nodded. "Y-yes, we can have parties for them." Trotting past them, she made her way towards the exit before stopping and turning back to them. "I must go and see how the others are doing. I want you to wait here for now. I will notify you of where to be when the time comes." Going out of the room, she saw over two dozen guards trotting down halls of the castle coming her direction. One of the ponies in front stopped in front of her and stood at attention. "Princess, the guards have all been stationed through the city and are awaiting your command now." Luna nodded. "Good. We have to make sure that all the citizens have help . Begin the evacuation as soon as possible." "Yes princess." The guard responded and quickly caught up with the others. Luna then noticed Vegeta leaning against the side wall of the hallway, his eyes glaring at every pony that passed his way. Knowing he had been the one that seemed most distant from the others, she decided that having a talk with him could perhaps shed some light on why he was so different than the others. From his position, Vegeta noticed the blue alicorn trotting his direction. Sneering, he simply shifted his body up a few inches. "What do you want, creature?" Trying to ignore the arrogance of his statement, Luna simply nodded. "I actually came to see how you were doing." "And why would you even care about my well being?" "Because you and your friends came and helped us when we needed it most... And saved our lives." "Hmph, I didn't come here to save you. I came to rid the universe of that pathetic excuse for a Saiyan. I could care less about what would happen to your race." That single statement sent a shot of anger through the alicorns veins. Her wings flared out to her sides as she walked right up to the arrogant prince. "You do not care what happens to our kind!? Do you not have any form of compassion in your soul?" "Why should I care about your kind? I don't have any reason to even affiliate myself with you... Ponies." Luna glared at him, her horn unconsciously releasing small streams of electricity. After moment, she shut her eyes and took a deep breath to calm her nerves. "You are so much different than the others. Why? Why do you act like this to others just because you think you are better?" Vegeta chuckled. "Because I am the prince of the Saiyans. I am the ruler of the greatest warriors to have ever existed in the universe. I am the pride of every member of my race to have ever have lived, and I will ensure I keep that until the day I die." "That is a stupid way to live." "What!?" Vegeta snapped in response to the blue alicorn. "You dare insult the pride of the saiyans!?" "In a way... Yes." Luna kept her stone gaze on the angered prince. "You pretend that releasing your anger and frustration upon others is pride for your people, but in fact it is more insulting to your ancestors. If you are the prideful warriors you boast that you are, you should act with that and[a] show respect for the ones before you, to honor your people." "And what gives you the right to tell me how to live? If I wanted to right now, I would blast you into the afterlife and- Vegeta stopped talking and turned his head to the right, sensing a powerful surge in the distance. Luna immediately turned also, having sensed it as well. It was that unmistakable feeling that had tormented the lunar princess for these past weeks. After another second, her eyes shot open in horror when she realized where he was.She turned back to Vegeta, her face now terrified. "He is in Manehattan." --- Manehattan was rocked by a powerful shockwave as something crashed into the Main Street of the town. Chunks of rubble and stone were sent in all directions from the unknown force striking the ground and sending a cloud of dust into the sky. In the crowd of ponies in shock, a young orange filly with a dark pink streaked mane grasped on to her mothers leg. "Mom, what was that!?" "I don't know Babs." The yellow mare replied as she held her daughter close. She stared at the large dust cloud that hovered only forty feet away from them. Then, through the brown haze, she saw a large figure hovering in the air. It's outlined body showed off its gigantic size as it towered above every pony in the street. A cold chill crawled down the mares spine as she saw the shape lift one of its large limbs up. "Babs, lets get out of here." Suddenly, a green Ki blast shot through the cloud and collided into a building behind the crowd of ponies. The whole structure went up in a massive explosion that lit up the entire section of the city. Ponies everywhere screamed in terror as the chunks of the building launched into the air and began crashing down around them. Babs Seed just stared in disbelief at the sight before she turned her head back towards the now dissipating cloud. Floating above the ground, Broly looked around to all of the horrified faces that stared up at him. His pure white eyes took in all of the fear that showed amongst the ponies as he chuckled to himself. He knew the warriors he desired were not here, but he didn't care; he wanted to enjoy himself before killing all of them. In fact, he was planning on killing every last pony on this planet before he left to reach Earth, he released another cold laugh as he imagined the level of destruction about to come. "You pathetic creatures, all trying to survive on a miserable planet. You all believe that your world is something to cherish, but it is not. you are all wastes of flesh that don't even deserve to breath the air around you. Hahahahahaha!" Broly dropped down to the ground and lifted his right arm towards a group of ponies to his left. "It is all for nothing I tell you, for you are not going to live to see the light of day tomorrow." Before any of them could react, a Ki blast shot out from his open palm and crashed into the ground, igniting the whole group of ponies up in a bright explosion. The ponies that wtnessed the destruction screamed out and ran in all directions, so frightened they didn't even watch where they were going. Some crashed into carts that lined the streets, or into another pony that crossed their path as they tried to get escape the monster behind them. "Hahahaa! Ha hahaha!" Broly's cold laugh echoed across the sky as he began firing his blasts at random, shooting anything that happened to be in his line of sight whether it be building or fleeing pony. One pegasus in particular tried to fly up into the sky, but Broly just grinned wider as he shot a ball up into the sky, striking down the unfortunate soul. His blood rushed in excitement through his veins as he made the once peaceful place turn into ruins right before him. Babs sat in horror as she watched the entire city go up in flames around her. The screams of the others rang inside her ears like the. Never in her life had she seen such a terrible scene told out right in front of her. Not even her worst nightmares even came close to the terrible things that she saw as this monster laughed as he began killing anything that came close to him. Unable to move, she dropped onto the ground, freezing like a statue. Her mom turned to run, but stopped when she saw her sitting like a rock. "Babs, come on!" Her mother tried to pull her along, but she was too traumatized to move from her position. Desperate, she picked her daughter onto her back and sprinted away. The psychotic super Saiyan continued to laugh as several buildings around him crumbled down into rubble. He then noticed a small platoon of guards running down the street towards him, which made his excitement grow even more. "Ah, a few more seemingly brave soldiers coming to stop me. Ha!" Not giving them the time to react, he burst off the ground towards them and grabbed hold of the leader before throwing him to the side and completely through a nearby building. The entire remaining squad of nine ponies froze mid step. Their comrade had been picked up like a ball and was just launched into the structure like nothing. Then before any of them realized it, Broly was upon them again, bringing his clenched fist forward and striking two guards simultaneously back down the street they came from. Next, he spun around and connected his right heel into the jaw of another guard and careening him into the same building of the other guard. One of the Pegasi tried to charge forward and swing his sword down at Broly, but he simply swung his hand out and shattered the steel like nothing was there. As the pony froze out of shock, the Saiyan responded by opening his hand and blasting the pony right in the chest with a Ki blast. "You worthless pests aren't even a challenge for me!" He shouted out in glee. Before one of the ponies could run backward, Broly reached out and grabbed him by the throat. Standing up, he threw him down so hard into the ground that the guards body went so far into the ground that it disappeared from sight. Using his arm, he then lifted himself off the ground and spun around to kick two more guards into the far buildings across the street. Jumping back up, he kicked off the ground and barreled down onto a unicorn guard who tried to put up a shield to protect himself. The Saiyan simply brought his fist back and smashed through the barrier with ease, knowing it was nothing compared to that of the princesses. Bringing his foot up, he brought down onto the ponies head and crushed it and the rest of him down into the ground. A blast of magic struck Broly's back, causing him to turn around to see the final unicorn guard trembling. Laughing at its bravery, he slowly made his way towards the pony as it shot off several more attacks. Like the first one however, the gargantuan Saiyan was unfazed by its damage as he casually marched forward until he stood directly in front of it. Using one of his massive hands, he grasped the pony around its head and lifted it off the ground. "Heh heh heh. Your entire race is so weak compared to me. Even standing on this world you live on makes me disgusted." Using his other hand, he charged up a large ball of Ki and placed it onto the guards chest. Letting it go, the blast enveloped the guard in a flash, before dissipating and leaving nothing in Broly's hand. Music link Once again, the pleasure of slaughtering everything brought amusement to the Saiyan, but he wanted even more than this. Having had enough fun, Broly flew high up into the sky above the burning city. He grinned as he heard the cries of terror echoing through the air as he relished at what he had caused. "This is what a true warrior does to prove he is the most powerful thing in the universe." He opened up his palm, creating a Ki ball that seemed to condense itself into the size of a small baseball, then growing bigger every moment. "And when one tries to oppose the strongest, you make them experience what happens when they challenge the greatest. You make an example, THROUGH THEIR PEOPLE!" Launching the blast down, the ball suddenly expanded into a massive blast over a hundred feet across. The gigantic green sphere crashed through the buildings below before striking the ground, blowing up in a bright shockwave that ripped through everything in its path. Every building was turned into dust as the explosion travelled out and passed right through them and every pony caught inside of it. Sprinting as fast as she could, Babs and her mother stopped when they heard the huge blast behind them, turning around and staring at the tall wave that was rushing right at them. "No..." The older mare shuttered as she dropped to the ground and pulled her daughter close. Babs couldn't take her eyes of the incoming force as she cried and latched onto her mother’s chest. "Mom!!!!!" She screamed out. Her mother didn't say anything. She instead wrapped her hooves around the young filly and pulled her close. She shut her eyes and tried to imagine a peaceful moment the two shared together, trying to keep hold of her soul as the wave neared, and overtook them. > The Final Stand > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- Luna's heart felt like it was going to burst through her chest as she watched the city of Manehatten become a wasteland. Thousands of lives vanished in a bright flash of power while the monster floating above simply laughed in exhiliration from the destruction that he had caused. 'No, this can't be happening to us.' She whispered to herself. Bursting into the hallway, Celestia sprinted down towards Luna with Gohan and Piccolo quick behind her. All three of them shared a look of shock, showing the fact they had seen the same thing as well. "Manehatten... It's gone." Celestia stuttered in shock. "He killed them all... And he enjoyed it." Luna bared her teeth as her magic began to radiate from her horn. "How can he be so cruel!" "He doesn't have a soul, that's why..." Piccolo looked on expressionless, "only a monster can do something like that." "Manehatten is only fifteen miles away. He will reach here any minute now." Celestia said in a worried tone. "We don't have enough time." "What do you mean, sister?" Luna asked, "we can still fight him when he gets here and- "That is the problem. We can't fight him in Canterlot. We haven't evacuated everypony yet. The damage to the population will be catastrophic if we do." Celestia shook her head in disgust. "Broly would want to fight here. He knows more would die if he kept it in the city." "Well, then it looks like you don't have a choice then..." Vegeta grunted as he glared up, looking to the direction he sensed the incoming power from. "I am going to send that piece of trash to hell to cleanse the saiyan blood of a disgrace like that thing." Piccolo sighed at the princes words. "You really think you can just beat him like that? You don't have the strength to fight him alone." "I wasn't asking you, Piccolo. I will be the one to kill him this time since Kakarot failed to do it right last time." Celestia cast a cold glare his direction. "You really think your friend meant for this to happen? If I recall, you gave him a large amount of your power to him so to deliver the final blow." Vegeta ground his teeth in frustration thinking back to that incident. He was the prince, the prince to the great saiyan race, and he had done something so disgraceful. He had given his power to a lower class being, a mere soldier compared to his rank. That act was offensive to the name of him and his father. Now he wanted to earn that honor back by being the one to defeat Broly. "Just stay out of my way and none of you will get hurt." He shouted at them. Luna rolled her eyes at his arrogance. "Come on, we can't talk anymore. We have to get out and try to stop him before he gets here." While he agreed with her words, Piccolo knew that wasn't an option. "At his rate, he's going to reach the city before we can get to the outer wall." "We have to try! Let's-" Luna was cut off as Gohan brushed by her, not even turning her direction as he passed. She watched him as he walked to the large doors leading outside and shoving them open, almost hard enough to rip them off the hinges. As soon as he stopped walking at the top of the stairs, her curiosity made her walk by his side. "Gohan?" His eyes didn't even turn to her, his eyes locked onto the distance past the city. His face was devoid of any emotion besides a cold glare across his brow. The young teenager’s face was covered by a look of anger as he thought of the monster coming his direction. He thought back to when Broly stood above the group of slaves, laughing maniacally as he destroyed their home and laughed at their despair. He clenched his fists in anger and growled. "No, I won't let him hurt any more!" He yelled out in the sky. In a flash, his body became engulfed in golden aura as he transformed into a super sayian. Luna had to back up several steps from the sudden gush of wind pushed out from his transformation. Crouching down, Gohan then burst off the ground with so much force the concrete beneath him split out in multiple directions. "Gohan wait!" Piccolo yelled out, but his call went on deaf ears as the half saiyan took off through the sky. "Lets go, we have to work together to stop him." Luna stated as she spread her wings and took off after Gohan. Piccolo turned to Celestia, both nodding to each other in agreement as they flew up and towards the incoming threat. Vegeta sat still for a moment, clenching his as he could just see the shape of Broly coming in the distance. "That beast thinks he can stop me again? I AM PRINCE VEGETA!" Throwing his arms down at his sides, Vegeta yelled out as he transformed to a super sayian and flew after the others. --- Rushing through the sky, Broly saw the large castle in sight now. His blood rushed in excitement as he saw how close he was now to reaching his way off of this planet. Not only that, he relished in the thought of slaughtering all of those pathetic lives that stood in his way, to feel their bones break under his fists. "Finally, this planet will see who is the most powerful being in the universe. They will cower and tremble at my wrath while I turn this world to dust!" Laughing out loud, he flew even faster as the city prepared for its fate against him. --- "Move it! Move it! Let's go!" One of the guards yelled out as he led the citizens down the street. Ponies were in a panic, not knowing what was happening as the soldiers came to their homes and began to order them out to the street and out of the city. Even when they asked, the guards didn't give them an answer, instead they pushed them along with the others. While they may have seemed to be ignoring their questions, the guards weren't. They didn't have an answer to give. The princesses had simply told the guards that the city had to be evacuated as soon as possible, but they refused to tell them why. All they were warned with was it was for the safety of everypony. What confused them more was the strange arrival of the new creatures that were with the alicorns. Never before had they seen anything like them before, but the princesses seemed to know them quite well. Whispers began to spread through the ranks on who and what these things were doing here, and for what purpose they were here. One major concern was whether they could be trusted or not. It didn't help positive feelings that it just so happened the battalion of soldiers that was with Shining Armor was completely wiped out, along with the near death of their captain. All of this just so happened to occur where these beings met the princesses, causing suspicion making the guards here in Canterlot believe they had something to do with it but were playing it off as allies to the ponies. But no matter how much they thought, they were soldiers for royalty and would carry out the orders of their princesses. Continuing on , the few dozen guards here kept pushing the ponies along, filing them out like a Column of ants . Suddenly, a massive explosion rocked the city, causing all of the ponies to stumble slightly before catching their balance again. Looking behind them, the guards gasped at the sight; an entire section of the city wall had been obliterated. "Wh-what was that?" One of them stuttered. "I'm not sure... I've never seen anything able to destroy the wall itself." Another one answered. From the smoke of the broken wall, a bright blast of energy rushed out and struck a building to their front, obliterating it instantly. The guards shook in fear to what exactly was the one doing this, but their answer revealed itself, flying through the air directly at them. "We have to go now!" One of them in front yelled out . Turning tail, most of the guards retreated back towards the castle while several stayed back to hold Broly off. Shooting beams of magic at him, the three unicorns hoped it would work, but Broly simply swatted them with his hand as they got close, shattering the beams like nothing. The front guard was about to scream out in fear, but Broly's hand latched down over his face before he was picked up and thrown through the building to the right. Smiling, the massive saiyan turned to the two other guards. "Your screams of anguish bring joy to me. You should let some out before I kill you." Laughing, Broly lifted his hand and charged up another Ki blast aimed towards the trembling ponies, but before he released it another Ki shot collided with his chest , catching him off guard. Confused at what happened but happy to be alive, the two unicorns ran as fast as they could down the street and away from the saiyan. Grunting, Broly looked up to see the source of the attack and smiled. "So you came to me, this makes it so much more simple." Landing on the ground, Gohan faced the gargantuan before him. "You are going to stop this Broly..." He demanded, "I won't let you hurt them anymore!" "Oh? A boost of anger from you? I like that." Broly said with laugh. "It gives you strength, but no matter how much you try, you will fail against me." Charging up both palms, Broly's laughter echoed through the air above the city. "Now, you can die and see your father again!" > Decimation > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- Broly grinned while he charged a Ki blast in each of his hands. "So how would you like to perish? Slowly and painfully, or perhaps I could make it quick for you... Although it will still be painful." He laughed menacingly as he raised his arms to his side. "How about you tell me what you want then." Gritting his teeth in anger, Gohan braced his feet beneath him as he raised his fists up. "You're a sick monster Broly for trying to hurt these ponies, they have done nothing to you." "Why would I even waste my breath explaining to a half bred saiyan trash. All that you need to know is that you will be buried with these pathetic creatures!" Broly yelled as a Ki blast rushed out from his hand at the young teenager. Gohan kicked off the ground just before the blast connected with him. The young saiyan flew up into the air, leaving a golden trail of aura behind him as he went to the roof of a nearby building. As soon as he landed on the top, Broly burst off the street after him and shot another blast towards him. Gohan quickly shot his own blast down at it, the two attacks colliding midway and detonating in a bright flash. Knowing what was coming, Gohan jumped up just as Broly barreled through the smoke and crashed into the building side. Busting through the concrete like cardboard, Broly laughed as he came level to Gohan in the air. The gargantuan saiyan brought one of his fists forward and swung it down at his target, yet Gohan quickly ducked under it and flew back while shooting off several blasts at Broly's chest. Like before though the attempt simply exploded on the titan’s chest in a harmless patch of smoke. Laughing at the attempt, Broly charged and slammed his fist into Gohan's chest sending him flying into the building behind him. Watching the structure crumble from the teenager plowing through it, Broly chuckled as he charged a blast in his palm. "You are just as pathetic as your father. Now go and join him in death." Before he could release his attack, a blast of magic struck Broly's back and shoved him forward a few feet. Grunting in frustration, he turned around to see Celestia, Luna and Piccolo flying towards him. "Hmm, so you all want to come and die as well." Reducing her speed, Celestia positioned herself facing Broly. Luna moved to his left, while Piccolo hovered until he was to the right. Nodding to the latter two, Celestia turned back towards her foe, her blood boiling in anger from the deaths he had caused. "Broly, you are going to stop this now! You're crimes against Equestria are beyond forgivable, but I will give you one more chance to stop this madness and leave." "Ha ha ha! You really think you can make any demands of me?" Broly sarcastically asked, "A pathetic race like yourself doesn't even deserve to breathe the same air that I do." Breaking through the crumbled building, Gohan floated up into the air behind Broly. His face and outfit sported several cuts and tears from his impact earlier, but he ignored it as he prepared for what fight was coming next. "A monster like you has no place in this world. Just leave now and stop this sick game." Gohan stated angrily. "Oh? You think I was playing a game? I was just warming up. The real fun starts now!" Broly yelled out. Done listening to him talk, Gohan and Piccolo flew through the air towards Broly, both of them unleashing a barrage of punches. As they did, Broly just smiled as the attacks collided with his chest and back over and over, their strength not affecting him enough to worry. Throwing his fists out, Broly slammed his one hand into Piccolos head and the other into Gohan's stomach and sent them flying back. Out of the corner of his eye he noticed a bright glowing that seemed to come out of nowhere. He then saw it was Luna and Celestia charging up their magic. "Luna, now!" Celestia shouted as she released her attack, Luna following suit. The two magical beams raced downward and blew up around Broly, yet coming through the smoke was the Saiyan again unhurt by their attempt. Grunting in anger, Celestia dive bombed him and released another energy blast towards his face. Broly simply laughed as he swatted the beam away with his hand, flying up and reaching both stunned alicorns before they could react. Clotheslining both of them, Broly flew across the street and slammed them into the wall of a building, the structure shattered to pieces as their bodies smashed through the exterior. Luna screamed out in pain as she broke through a solid concrete column in the center of the building, her form falling down and becoming covered in a large pile of rubble. Continuing on through the rest of the building, Broly threw a Celestia through the air, her body crashing into the street below. The legendary super Saiyan laughed as he watched the street burst open from her impact. "You pathetic pests don't even- "Broly!" Broly turned around to the call of his name, seeing Vegeta flying through the sky towards him. "Oh, so the prince wants to join as well?" He said with a grin. Putting his hands together, Vegeta released three large Ki blasts outward, the balls racing towards their target. Laughing out loud, Broly flew right through them, casually breaking through the spheres like they were nothing but sparks. Grunting in frustration, Vegeta pushed himself through the sky away from Broly. Shooting off a volley of blasts backwards, Vegeta flew towards the center of the city in an attempt to escape his pursuer, but his speed couldn't compare to the power of his opponent as the titan came up in an instant. Bringing his fists over his head, Broly swung down and hammered Vegeta into the street below. The Saiyan prince hit the ground so hard that several buildings around the impact shattered instantly, collapsing down into large piles of rubble. Broly grinned at the destruction beneath him, laughing menacingly into the sky knowing that they didn't have the power to stop him. "You fools should just give up now! I'm even stronger than I was last time we fought..." Broly yelled below, "why don't you just roll over and die like the scum you are!" From behind him, the broken building where he carried the princesses through exploded in a blue flash of magic. Rising out of the shattered concrete came Luna, her eyes glowing a bright white aura. Her face was twisted with anger as she stared at the monster before her. "BROLY! A FOUL BEAST AS YOURSELF DOES NOT DESERVE TO WALK OUR WORLD!" She boomed out with her Canterlot voice. "NOW PERISH FOR THE CRIMES YOU HAVE COMMITTED!" The lunar princess conjured a dark ball of blue magic, it's exterior emitting pulsing streams of electricity. Instead of shooting forward like previous attacks, the sphere began pulsing as it grew more powerful. Suddenly, a massive beam of magic erupted out from the ball and rushed towards Broly. Smiling, Broly charged up a large Ki ball in his hand and threw it at the incoming blast. The green Ki ball whipped through the sky and collided with Luna's, the two attacks coming to a standstill. After a moment however, Luna's attack began losing ground, breaking apart as Broly's ripped through hers. Panicking, she released her grip on her attack and tried to drop beneath it, but Broly had already rushed below to wait for her. Before she could scream out in fear, Broly's fist slammed into her face and sent her careening down to through the entire building beneath her and crashing into the street below. Luna gasped out in pain as she tried to stand, feeling one of her legs buckle underneath herself. "M-my knee!" She screamed to herself. "Luna!" Luna turned to see Gohan flying towards her, quickly landing and running over to her side. "Luna, are you alright?" "I... I'm fine. We just have to-" her words froze in her mouth when she looked past him into the sky. "Look out!" Spinning his body around, Gohan looked up to see Broly rushing down towards them. "Get behind me!" Gohan yelled out as he crouched his body down. Putting both of his hands to his right side, he focused his Ki until a pulsing blue ball grew in his palms. "Kamehame... Ha!" Thrusting his arms forward, Gohan unleashed his kamehameha up towards Broly, the bright blue stream of Ki lighting up the entire area. As it did however, he was frozen in shock as Broly was flying through his attack unfazed before bursting out above. "No... No way..." Gohan stuttered fear as Broly clenched his fist above him. Luna watched in horror as Gohan was sent flying through the street and crashing through several buildings behind her. "No..." She whispered out as she turned back to face the monster Broly. The next moment his hand reached out and gripped her face, pulling her towards him as one of his knees came smashing into her side. She screamed out in pain as several of her ribs cracked under his powerful strike. As she tried to pull out of his grasp still, Broly jumped forward and slammed her down into the street and forced her body to shatter the thick concrete. At that moment, Luna's body finally reached its physical limit, pain overwhelming every sense until her mind went black, darkness overtaking everything. Stepping away from the limp alicorn, Broly chuckled in amusement as he lifted his body a few feet into the air. He loved having the power not having to worry about these worthless beings as a threat to him. Even Piccolo charging through the sky at him only brought a deep laugh from his throat. "Why must you all keep limping along like this. You should just let it all end for you!" Kicking off the ground, Broly burst towards the namekian with his fist ready to strike. Piccolo began unleashing a mass of Ki blasts at the incoming saiyan, the energy attacks detonating but not leaving a mark on his chest. Grunting in frustration, piccolo flew backwards through the air and put his palms together. "Try this on for size. Masenko!" A bright yellow flash erupted from his hands and shot towards Broly, who simply swung his hand and smacked the attack away. The green alien couldn't move fast enough to evade as Broly crashed his fist into his face, immediately knocking him out cold and sending him careening through a nearby building. In a bright flash to Broly's right, Celestia appeared from her teleportation. As the light faded, the white alicorn felt her blood run cold when she saw the broken body of her sister. "Luna!" Celestia sprinted over to Luna's body, scooping her up in her hooves. "Luna, Luna! Please get up!" Celestia shook her sisters form, but it still wasn't moving. "Oh please be alright sister..." "Your sister is done for..." Broly laughed as he floated down towards the two princesses. "Even if she is barely alive at this moment, a few more moments won't count for anything." The blood under Celestia's skin boiled like a pot of water from the fury growing inside her chest. She bared her teeth as she stood up from the ground and faced the monstrous warrior before her. "I warned you many times to leave my home and you refused to listen to my words. Now I have no choice but to make you pay for the acts against my world!" "Ha ha ha! You are going to make me pay? You don't even have the power to hurt me." The princess took a deep breath as she turned back to the area where she teleported to, a large dust cloud still lingering in the center. "Perhaps I don't have the power, but they do." "Hmm?" Broly sighed as he turned his gaze up to the slowly dissipating cloud. His eyes caught sight of six different mares standing there , each of them wearing a different jeweled pendant. "Now what is this? You have little friends here to help you now?" In the center of the girls, twilight stared in shock at the behemoth that was Broly. "This... This is the person that has been hurting everypony?" Then, her eyes became a pool of burning fury as she glared at him. “He’s the one who hurt my brother!” "He is certainly something quite hideous looking." Rarity chimed in, "look at this place! He has ruined everything!" Rainbow dash flapped her wings and lifted herself off the ground, glaring at the giant Broly. "This guy thinks he can do whatever he wants to our home? Let's show him what happens when he messes with us!" "Darn tootin Rainbow! Let's get this jerk!" Applejack cheered on, stomping her hoof on the street in anger. Seeing the sight before him made Broly laughed out loud. "Oh this is great! You brought these tiny little ponies to try and fight me? You must be truly desperate for help now." "You won't be laughing when we use this. Now girls!" Twilight yelled as they all gathered up in a circle together. Shutting their eyes , their elements began glowing bright together as they lifted off the ground. "Hmm? What's this now?" Broly said with a lifted brow. Suddenly, a burst of rainbow colored light erupted from the girls and shot up into the sky. The saiyan watched in confusion as the rainbow lifted high into the sky and began arching down towards him. "You think Something like that is going to stop me?" He chuckled as he opened up his palm and charged a large Ki blast. "You can't compare to my power!" The Ki ball shot through the air to and expanded to over a hundred feet across, nearly blocking out the sky for all the ponies in the street. Rising up into the sky, the giant blast collided with the incoming element stream and forcing it to a standstill. "What!?" Twilight gasped out at the sight. "How did he stop the elements!?" The two attacks pushed back and forth against each other, fighting for the advantage of dominance. After a few moments however, the giant green sphere began pushing the rainbow back up into the sky, until it shattered in a colorful explosion above the city and Illuminated the clouds in the air. Celestia felt her body tremble as she watched the sparkling magic from the elements dissipating in the sky above her. "H-how is this possible? The elements are our most powerful magic..." Before she could say anything else, she saw Broly raise his hand up towards Twilight and her friends. "No, leave them alone!" Broly however ignored the princesses words and laughed to himself. "It really is pathetic you even had hopes at beating me. How about you just let me end your fear for you." Twilight and the others could only sit in fear as they watched Broly charge up another ball of Ki in his palm, the sphere glowing brighter until they couldn't see anything else. Fluttershy whimpered behind her friends As she heard the cold laugh of Broly echoing through the street. "What... What do we do?" She hesitantly mumbled. "I can tell you what to do..." Broly answered for her, "you can die now." "NO!" Celestia tried to run towards them, But Broly let his attack loose, detonating amongst Twilight and the rest of the element bearers. The princesses heart skipped several beats as she watched the entire section of the street explode, the several buildings behind them crumbling to pieces of gravel. "No... Twilight." She could not believe it as the dust slowly cleared away from where Twilight and the others were. All that was left in the spot was a shattered street and a massive burn mark staining the rock. Celestia felt her throat choke up as she realized she just watched her student and her friends die right in front of her, and she didn't do a thing to stop him from taking them away from her. She felt a tear falling down her cheek, slowly crawling across her fur and dropping to the street. "Twilight, I'm so sorry." Turning back towards Broly, she was met by his hand grasping her throat and lifting her off the ground. Gasping for air, she tried to pull herself out of his grip, but his strength was far to great for her to break. "Why.. Why are you doing this to us?" She wheezed through small gasps, "we haven't done anything to you." "Your very existence makes my actions justified, princess." Broly coldly answered as he tightened his grip. "You still haven't accepted the fact there is nothing you can do to stop me. Your sister, your little pathetic ponies, and not even your friends from Earth can stop me.” “Let her go!” Celestia shifted her eyes to the side as she tried to follow the sound of the voice. As she did however, her throat was constricted even tighter, causing her entire body to buckle. Then all of a sudden, she felt herself thrown across the street, skidding to a stop on the hard concrete. The princess began coughing vigorously in an attempt to refill her empty lungs. Then, a pair of hooves came up from behind and lifted her head off the ground, “Who… whos there? she wheezed out between pants. As she gazed up to her helper, her eyes shot open to the size of dinner plates at who it was. “T-Twilight!?” Sure enough, Twilight and the rest of her friends were all standing there, not a single scratch on her body. “Princess Celestia, are you alright?” “How… how are you alive? I saw you die…” “Right before he hit us, I was able to teleport us away.” Twilight answered, “Now come on, get up, lets get out of here!” Chuckling at the sight, Broly slowly walked towards the group of ponies. “You’re quite stubborn aren’t you? I thought you all died right there. How about I test that out again?” “You aren't going to hurt them!” Music All of them, including Broly turned to see Gohan land on the ground, his body cut up and mouth lined with several trails of blood. Broly grunted in frustration at the half saiyan’s tenacity. “Why can’t you just roll over and die already like your father!" Wiping away some of the blood from his lip, Gohan looked back and forth between the ponies as they huddled amongst one another. While they stood together, he could see the fear in their eyes. He turned his head to See Luna beaten near to her death, slumped into the street and not moving. He then saw the destruction throughout the city, the ponies home left in ruins just because Broly thought his was all amusing for himself. That is what made him the most furious; This monster was simply killing to kill. No true motive to his actions. Gohan could feel his blood boiling with anger, his fists clenching so hard his knuckles turned white. He bared his teeth in fury and stomped back to face Broly. “I said you aren’t going to hurt them anymore!” Throwing his arms down at his sides, Gohan began charging his ki once again, the golden aura pulsing out from his body. “You are going to STOP!” a massive shockwave of aura burst out from Gohans position, pushing back all of the ponies a few feet from the force. “What’s going on!?” Twilight yelled out in confusion. “I don’t know, I didn’t see this earlier!” Celestia responded, using her wing to shield the blinding light coming from Gohan. Broly watched in amazement as Gohan’s energy began skyrocketing above what it was before, the very ground beneath him beginning to crack from the pressure. Instead of worry however, it only brought a smirk to his face. “So, he has a little trick up his sleeve as well.” “RAAHHHHH!” Gohan's voice echoed through the sky as he screamed out, his energy grew higher and higher every moment. His feet began breaking through the ground from the force emitted from his body. His muscles were growing more defined, along with his hair beginning to stand straight up into the air. With one final yell, his energy erupted out, shattering the windows all across the entire street and splitting the ground in all directions. Then almost as fast as it came, the bright light disappeared. Standing there was Gohan, his aura flowing around him in a constant dance. Lines of static electricity pulsed constantly, the blue lightning flickering all around his form. Even his hair now stood straight up from his head except for one part in front of his face. Celestia could only gaze in amazement to the transformation he had undergone. “Amazing… his power is nothing like it was before.” Gohan looked back at Broly, his fists ready to fight once again. “I said I wasn’t going to let you hurt them anymore. Now I am going to make sure of it!”
