Original Characters belongs to me. Prologue: The Coming of Two Ponies. The warm afternoon sun caressed his face, causing him to groan softly. How long he had slept was unknown to him as he rolled to his side, trying to hide his face from the sun’s glare. However, he was unable to roll any further as his stiff legs prevented him so. The sleeping figure finally decided to wake up, opening his eyes warily to get accustom to the daylight and take stock of the surroundings. His mind soon clicked, realizing he wasn’t in the comfort of his home. Rather, he was laying on his side on something white and fluffy, which was rather high up from the ground. “What the hay is going on?” He muttered, quickly realizing he was replying in a weird way, “Oh Luna, someone please tell me this is some sort of a nightmare…” He edged close to the ‘bed-side’, confirming his present location as the wide expense of land appeared below him. “Ok, calm down… You have this type of weird dream before…” His whole body felt strange as he pushed himself up to his side, not able get up to a ‘sitting’ position he used to have. Then his eyes trailed to his ‘fingers’, lifting one forehoof at a time… “Whoa… this is freaky cool...” Looking at his forehooves with an annoyed look, then crossed-eyed to his muzzle, he dreaded for the worst as he looked back to the rest of himself, noting the dark brown wings, the strange broken hour-glass mark on his ginger flank, as well as his hind hooves. He could not see his mane, but his dark brown tail with strips of grey definitely concluded his condition. “I’m a winged horse….” “A pegasus pony actually…” He literally jumped at the voice, front hoofs hitting the cloud holding him, which collapsed and dispersed. Next thing he knew, he found himself falling, “Time to freak out I suppose?!” He screamed, only to see another pegasus falling beside him, calmly eating a muffin. “Hay! Open your wings silly! Don’t tell me you forgot how to fly!” The grey pegasus with bubbles as her cutie mark shook her head, finishing her muffin, and spread out her wings, catching the current and began to glide above the falling pony. “If that is easy I would have… whoa!” He gasped as his wings spread out at the thought of them, still falling and tumbling about in the air, not sure what to do next. “Feel the wind, let it glide across your wings…” He followed the instructions given and managed to get into glide-mode just a few meters off the ground. “And flap hard before you…” The grey pegasus cringed as the gliding pony crashed headfirst into the tree, “…crash…” “Oww…” He groaned, feeling a throbbing sensation on his head as he looked at the other 'ponies' that landed, “And to think this dream is so real... Just how many of you are there?” “Just one…” She trotted to him, “I do crash every now and then, but the way you ‘landed’ tells me I’m not that bad after all.” The grey pegasus leaned in closer to examine his bruised forehead, “You are one weird pony, you know that?” The crash-landed pegasus gradually cleared his vision, finally seeing the grey Pegasus on front of him, which he noticed, was ember walled-eyed and wearing a saddlebag full of letters and scrolls. “Crashing constantly caused your eyes to be… weird?” He regretted that question immediately, not sure whether she would feel unhappy about it. “Hmm… no… I was born this way… my vision is slightly out, but it’s not so bad.” She flicked her blond mane to the side of her head, “However, if my look makes you feel uncomfortable…” The grey pegasus started twirling her eyes, which rolled about for a bit before settling the right way like every other normal ponies. “How’s this?” She panted from the intense concentration, only to lose it, eyes went walled up again, “Aww…” “It’s alright… I do know a friend, who has the same condition as you.” He lied, trying to cheer her up, “He’s one smart pony though, even though he is clumsy at times!” The ginger pegasus was surprised and amused at the same time on how she could twirl her eyeballs that easily. “Ohh, I would love to meet him!” Her eyes twirled around with excitement, which then suddenly stopped, “This reminds me, you got mail!” She tried to imitate a familiar tone, turned and dug into the saddlebag, finally fishing out a sealed envelop with her mouth. “I got mail?” He gave a puzzled look before accepting it with his mouth and placed it on the ground, seeing the name ‘Chrono Breaker’ on the front. “How do you know where to find me?” Somehow, he recognize the name to be his. “It’s a trait of mine… I think…” She grinned in a goofy way, “As long you are within the area of Cloudsdale, Canterlot, and Ponyville, I’m certain to be able to find you, just try to stay in open areas…” She sheepishly commented as he opened the envelope and read its contents. Att: Chrono Breaker You have been invited for an event in Ponyville planned by me, Prezzie Luv. Hope to see you here soon~! Prezzie Luv “So who is this Prezzie…” Chrono stopped and facehoofed, “I’m sorry… I should have asked for your name before enquiring on others.” “I’m Derpy Hooves, the mail Pegasus.” Derpy replied with much enthusiasm, “Some claimed I’m the fastest mailpony around the region, but I do admit I tend to lose some mails here and there…” The grey Pegasus muttered softly at the end of the sentence, “If you are looking for Prezzie Luv, she can be found at the town square where the water fountain is. You should be able to recognize her from her attire.” Her eyes twirled, “I’d better be going, have much mails to deliver.” Derpy turned away, “… And thank you for your words of encouragement, Chrono.” With that, she took off to her next mail recipient. “I was just about to ask her for directions…” Chrono groaned to himself as Derpy flew to the horizon. “Then again, I need to get use to my new hooves… and my wings as well if I want to get to Ponyville...” ~~~~~~~~~~ Clops, followed by trots, quickly increasing to a canter, then finally galloping at the speed she could not even imagined. The pony ran across the colourful grassy plain, feeling the breeze against her flowing mane. She felt so alive, as if being released from some confined space for a very long time. A moment ago, she had woken up from her slumber and had adjusted well to her legs rather quickly. The pony finally stopped for a break, taking in the fresh air and the scenery around her. “Hi!” ??? The pony looked around in surprise on hearing that voice. “Up here!” The voice chuckled. The pony looked up, eyes widened at the sight of a flying grey pegasus carrying a saddlebag filled with letters and scrolls. “You can talk?!” “Derp... so can you!” causing the grounded pony to blushed on realising her silliness. “I’m sorry... I didn’t know flying horses can talk...” “I’m a pegsus pony, not a horse.” The flying pony replied with a puzzled look on her walled eyed face, “And you are a unicorn pony...” The grounded pony now took stock of herself; Creamy white coat with long emerald green mane and tail, which seemed to flutter in the light breeze around her. She also noticed a patch of brown coat running from each of her hind hooves, reaching up to her thighs, where her cutie mark was displayed, consisting of four wisps of wind. “This is weird... I don’t remember being a unicorn pony before...” She held up a hoof to touch her horn, confirming her pony status, “So... where am I?” “Gee, I don’t know either...” The walled eyed pegasus replied, “Hold on, I’m gonna fly up and see.” She started flying straight instead of up, returning a few seconds with a sheepish look on her face, “Err... sorry. Let me get this right.” Her eyes twirled, finally settling the right way like every other normal ponies. With the determined look, she flew upwards reaching a suitable height for her to view the horizons, only to stop flapping her wings... The white unicorn gasped when she saw the pegasus falling, her mind started racing for the best possible method to ensure the falling pony’s safety. She soon panicked however, and closed her eyes, her thoughts all about saving the pegasus. It was then she felt an energy naturally welled up and flowed into her horn, which glowed brightly. Before the pegasus hit the ground, a small twister appeared right under the latter, cushioning her fall. “Derp... sorry... again. Somehow I forgot to flap my wings when I took in the awesome sights before me.” Her eyes were twirling in confusion, finally stopping at their usual, un-usual positions, “You can put me down now? This spinning thingy is tickling me.” “Wow... I know magic!” The unicorn giggled at the discovery and breath a sigh of relief, “Okay, how can I get this twister off...” At the thought, the mini tornado quickly dissipated, promptly dropping the pegasus on the ground. She was amazed that the saddlebag’s contents were still intact as she helped the latter up. “Maybe I was not clear enough... I’m asking ‘where am I’, as in... you know, country, region thingy?” “Ohh right!” The grey pegasus got up from the ground, shook her head to get her blond mane off her face, “We are in Equestria. And err...” She looked around as if getting a bearing, “That’s the North so... if you go in this direction, you should reach Ponyville by evening, unless Princess Celestia decides to call the sun off early.” She pointed to the North East. “Speaking of North East,” She fished out a mail from her saddlebag with her mouth, “I ghot a mail forh youh.” “A mail?” The unicorn replied with a puzzled look as she sub-consciously accepted it with her magic, noting it addressed to ‘Windie Breeze’. It seems so natural, yet un-natural at the same time, as her thoughts willed her magic to open the letter and unfold its content. Att: Windie Breeze You have been invited for an event in Ponyville planned by me, Prezzie Luv. Hope to see you here soon~! Prezzie Luv “Thanks for the mail... err...” “Derpy, Derpy Hooves, mail mare for Cloudsdale, Canterlot, and Ponyville.” Derpy saluted, “Come to think of it, a very wierd, but nice pegasus received the same mail as you. If you are fast enough, you should be able to meet him at Ponyville.” “Thanks again Derpy.” Windie nodded, looking at the direction of Ponyville, “I’ll make my way there, you should finish your mailing. I’m sorry for taking your time helping me.” “Its okay. I should be able to finish my mailings in ten seconds flat...” Derpy chimed, the paused for a bit to process what she had said, “... not really... probably in a few hours...” She chuckled, “Anyways see you later Windie.” The pegasus flew off speedily away. At this moment, a sealed scroll fell out of the saddlebag, landing in front of Windie. “Derpy, wait!” Windie called out and sighed, knowing Derpy will not be able to hear her at this distance. “To Twilight Sparkle, Library, Ponyville.... Since I’m already heading to Ponyville, I’ll help Derpy with this.” Author's Note: A quick intro of the two OCs as well as the appearance of our favorite pony Derpy Hooves. I got this as well as Chapter 1 done during the holidays. Proof-reading took up even more time as English can be quite challenging when I'm not proficient in it. > Chapter 1: The Gathering of Two Ponies, plus an Event Maker. > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- My Little Ponies: Friendship is Magic belongs to Hasbro and Lauren Faust. Original Characters belongs to me. Chapter 1: The Gathering of Two Ponies, plus an Event Maker. After a few trips and several crashes later, Chrono Breaker was galloping towards the direction of Ponyville. Earlier on, he had taken flight to get his bearings, naturally finding the True North. It was also then and there he spotted signs of buildings to the west, tempting him to actually fly there. Still not confident in flying, he decided to take the hike across the grassland instead. Cresting the final hill, the pegasus jumped in joy on seeing civilisation. With renewed energy, he galloped toward the park, assuming there would be some ponies there who may be able to offer directions to the town hall. The evening had just begun and several ponies were at the park chatting and lazing about after a day’s work. The scene caught the ginger pelt pegasus off guard, for he never knew ponies had such bright coats of colours. “Hay there. You seemed pretty lost.” A mint coated unicorn with the cutie mark of a Lyre slouched on a bench waved to him. Another pony was sitting beside the unicorn waved as well. “Hello...” Chrono came up to the unicorn with an awkward look, “I didn’t know ponies could sit like that...” “That’s Lyra for you.” The cream coated earth pony with the cutie mark of three wrapped sweets replied, shaking her head, “She’s the only pony in Ponyville that sits like this.” “Aww, come on Bon Bon, there is nothing wrong sitting like this, you should try it.” Lyra leaned back grinning. “Anyways,” Bon Bon coughed, “This is my best friend Lyra Heartstrings, who likes to sit in weird positions. I’m Bon Bon...” “...who has a sweet-tooth for tasty sweets and confectioneries.” Lyra finished, receiving several prods by her blushing mare friend. “Chrono Breaker, please to meet you ladies,” The pegasus nodded to both of them with a chuckle, “I was given an invitation to come to Ponyville. Hope both of you are kind enough to direct me to the town hall.” So far, everypony he had met were open and friendly. “That’ll be easy.” Lyra replied, “Did you happen to see a largest, roundest building before coming here?” Chrono nodded, “That is the town hall. Flying there will be faster. However, if you wanna explore the town a bit, you can walk down the path,” the unicorn pointed a hoof to the west, “cross the bridge, turn left after hitting the street. You can’t miss it.” Lyra took another look at the pegasus, “You seemed rather beaten up. What did you do? Crash through Everfree forest?” “Got it! Thanks!” Chrono took mental note, “I’ll be fine, these bruises will go away sooner or later,” He checked himself, then back to Lyra, “Just wondering, are you really okay sitting like that?” “Feels natural to me.” Lyra replied with a mischievous look, “Wanna see other poses I can do?” She was promptly bucked off the bench by an annoyed Bon Bon. “Excuse us while I get her mind straight...” Bon Bon shook her head and proceed to ‘lecture’ the unicorn. “Alright then... I guess I’ll take my leave...” He muttered, silently left as the two mares ‘quarrelled’ on. Decided to enjoy the sights, he continued his walk down the park toward the town hall... Windie could not believe she had done it! Galloping was fun, but what made it exciting was the way her magic reacted to her thoughts as she whisked across the plains on her hooves, with the wind acting as a boost to her speed. Things around her sort of flew pass her as if she was on a high speed train... or whatever that was, which she shrugged off the thought. “Phew! That was exciting!” The unicorn giggled as she arrived at the dirt road just outskirts of Ponyville. In front of her was a huge plantation full of trees, and over at the right, along the road, a large barn. Currently the barn seemed to look empty, until a cow wandered out of it. “Mooo~ I mean, hello my dear.” The cow called out when it noticed her. “Evening Madam.” Windie returned the gesture as she trotted over, “I just came from the south, was wondering whether this is Ponyville.” She was mentally prepared this time. Since there were talking ponies, then there should not be any surprise with talking cows. “What a polite mare, especially from the far south. Yes this is Ponyville alright.” The cow nodded, “Just follow this dirt road and you will see the town hall soon enough.” “Thank you madam for your assistance,” The unicorn smiled, “I was also wondering, what a large barn you have. Do you stay alone?” “Neigh, my sisters are out grazing at the moment. I came back early as there was a last minute request for a jug of milk.’ “Uhh... ok... I see...” Windie gave an awkward smile, “I suppose take my leave now Madam. Nice chatting with you.” “Not a problem sweetie... Ohh, just a caution for you. There is a pegasus flying haphazardly around here lately. Careful not to let her crash into you.” “Will do. I’ll keep my eyes out for her.” Thanking the cow, the unicorn made her way up the dirt road. It did not take long for her to made contact with the certain pegasus as the dirt road branched to the left, where at the end of it, a large farm was situated. The unicorn’s eyes went back to the main road, Windie could actually see the large round building mentioned by the cow in the distance. Suddenly from her blind spot, a streak of rainbow dashed toward her at an incredible speed. “Incoming!” A voice shouted from her rear, startling her for just that two seconds before she shut her eyes tight, horn glowed brightly, hoping what ever was going to crash into her would be knocked back. PAAFFT! Windie heard a groan and turned around, seeing a blue pegasus mare with a messy rainbow cropped name and tail, had smacked face first against the wall of wind she had created out of instinct. The amusing thing was that the pegasus was literally sliding down the ‘wall’, landing on the ground with a soft ‘splat’, eyes spinning in a daze. “Are... are you alright?” The unicorn snickered, trying not to laugh out loud as she removed her wall of wind and helped the pegasus up to a sitting position with her magic. She was amazed, yet now concerned whether the crash had affected the latter mentally since there were no physical injuries seen. “Ugh... just let me sit here for a while...” The blue pegasus groaned, meganta eyes still spinning, “That was... guh... some wall...” “I’m sorry about that... I had to protect myself...” Windie replied with a slight guilt in her voice, “It wasn’t that painful... right?” The pegasus, with the cutie mark of a cloud with rainbow lightning bolt, shook her head, somewhat cleared her dizziness, “It was the rush that hurts... other than that... WHOA!” The pegasus seemed to have realised something from the experience, “That was awesome! A wall that could not hurt! Lets try it again!” A moment of silence followed, “Err... hehe...sorry... sorta had a Pinkie Pie moment.” She looked away, not wanting to let the unicorn see her blushing cheeks. “Are you sure you are okay? It looks like you are burning up in the cheeks...” “Nope! I’m definitely OKAY, FINE, HEALTHY!” The pegasus got up, recovering quickly and flapped her wings, “I’m not called Rainbow Dash for my quick recovery skills, as well as the fastest flier in Equestria!” “Okay... I’m Windie Breeze, just being curious on why are you crashing at other ponies?” “Err... well... YES! I was doing my stunt routines, and decided to try out something new. There wasn’t suppose to be anyone walking along the road during this time...” Rainbow clopped her front hooves nervously, “Anyways I could have pulled it off perfectly, if its not for this meddlesome unicorn...” She muttered. Unfortunately, the unicorn heard it. “Right... blame me for being here at the wrong time!” Windie huffed in annoyance, “I could have placed up a ‘harder’ wall so you can sleep off it for days!” “Ladies! Calm down! Ah could hear yah hollering from the farm!” A new voice was heard. Both ponies turned to see an orange pony approached them. Before Rainbow could reply, the orange earth pony with the cutie mark of three red apples promptly stuffed an apple into the pegasus’ mouth, “Now don’t start it Rainbow Dash, Ah told yah before to do yah crazy stunts at a higher altitude. Yah endangering ponies, especially yahself!” Her comment was clear cut, and true, making Rainbow feel guilty about it, admitting her mistake as she silently munched on the apple and nodded, “Now go apologise to her... HAY!” The orange pony caught the escaping pony’s rainbow tail with her mouth before the latter could take off. Sighing in defeat, the blue pegasus dropped back down. “I... I’m sorry...” Rainbow reluctantly apologised. Releasing Rainbow’s tail, “See, it ain’t so hard to...” Before the earth pony could finish, the blue pegasus took flight, turn around, and stuck her tongue out at Windie before flying off, “...apologise..” The former sighed, “Sorry about that sugercube, Rainbow can be rather stuck up at times. She’ll come around sooner or later. Name’s Applejack by the way, and mah family owns Sweet Apple Acres as yah can see here.” She tipped her cowboy hat, greeting the unicorn. “Windie Breeze. Came from the south, is going to meet up with another pony for an event in Ponyville.” The unicorn raised a hoof for a hoofshake. “Yah are from Fillydelphia? tTat’s mighty fine of you travelling here on yah own.” Applejack cheerfully returned with a hoof of her own, clopping against Windie’s and shaking hers, “If yah talking about events, that would be Prezzie Luv. She’s one fantastic pony by the way.” The orange pony nodded, “When Pinkie Pie suggested a party for her, she just waved her hoof over Pinkie. Guess what? Pinkie totally forgot about the party soon after that...” “You will bring me to Prezzie Luv...” The unicorn waved her hoof at the earth pony, her horn glowing dimly. Somehow, WIndie had to try it. “Yes Ah will... Hay!” Applejack exclaimed in surprise. It was followed by both of them laughing out for quite a bit. “That’s a good one Wind! Ah almost fell for that!” She chuckled as they finally calmed down. “I tried, but it seems like this unicorn mind tricks won’t work on you.” Windie giggled, “Anyways, I should be going now, thank you for the timely assistance Applejack.” She gave the earth pony a nod. “AJ will be fine. Yah sure you don’t need mah help to bring you to Prezzie Luv?” Applejack grinned, causing both of the to giggle out again. “No, I can manage. The town hall is just right ahead, and its pretty straight forward.” “Gotcha! Ah’ll probably see yah around town tomorrow then.” Both nodded with smiles on their faces before heading different paths... “Is this the town hall?” Chrono muttered to himself as he looked up at the large round building. A sign outside the closed door informed ponies that operation hours from 9am to 5pm. On seeing the closed door, he assumed that the building was closed for the day. There were still some ponies mulling around the building, however, one cream pelt unicorn pony caught his eyes; her long emerald green mane and tail fluttered about as if there was an aura of wind surrounding her. Somehow this peculiar unicorn noticed him as well, and started to approach him. “Hi! I hope I did not mistaken you for someone else, but...” The unicorn paused with light tint of pink on her cheeks, “...are you the very weird but nice pegasus Derpy was talking about?” Chrono absent-minded scratched the side of his head with a hoof, “I’m nice, but its weird to be called very weird.” He chuckled, “And yes I did met the mail mare before coming over here.” Nodding to the unicorn, “Please to meet your acquaintance. I’m Chrono Breaker.” He held out a hoof. “Windie... Windie Breeze...” The unicorn shyly held up her hoof and clopped with the ginger pegasus’ hoof, giving it a light shake, “For a moment, I thought I’ve got the wrong pony... you are the only pony in the area that looked like he had travelled quite a bit.” She indicated by pointing at his bruises. “We will find out soon enough.” Chrono replied as he reached under his wings and pulled out the letter, “Have a look at this letter, and no worries about these bruises, I got them uneventfully...” Windie nodded and accepted the letter with her magic, “You seemed to trust me fully... Why is that?” She began to open the letter and unfold the contents. At the same time, her own letter magically appeared and was being unfolded. “All the ponies I’ve met are friendly enough. They don’t have that sense of insecurity around them.” He shrugged noting how proficient Windie weld her magic. “Fair enough...” She giggled and held the letters for Chrono to see, “Same letter, same content.” “Awesome! So are we a team?” He asked, only to receive a blush from the unicorn, The both of them were silent, feeling each others uneasiness. It was then Chrono decide to break the ice, “Okay how about this, lets meet up with this Prezzie Luv, then we decide on our next course of action?” “That... that would be a better option...” She acknowledged, still struggling with the awkwardness. With the mutual agreement made, the ponies approached the fountain where a peach coated unicorn in a red beret and cloak was busily writing stuff on her large notepad. “Hello and welcome to Ponyville!” The unicorn cheerfully announced to the duo as they approached, “You must be the two ponies I’ve been expecting!” She put aside her notepad and quill in the large saddlebag under her cloak, revealing a wrapped present as her cutie mark, “There be others coming soon, but since both of you are our early birds... or rather ponies, here is an incentive!” She magically held out two small bags filled with coins. “Thanks?” Both ponies replied with a puzzled look as they accepted the bags of coins. “Each bag has one hundred bits exactly. So it should last both of you a few days worth of food and lodgings.” The peach unicorn paused a moment the gasped out, “Seems l’ve forgotten to introduce myself... Name’s Prezzie Luv, Event Maker from Canterlot.” “Thanks for the bits Miss Luv.” Chrono nodded, “Perhaps you can tell us what the event is about before we can officially accept these bits.” “A good question!” Prezzie smiled, “As you know, ponies tend to be satisfied with their everyday routine. I’m here to research on how ponies react when they are tasked to do things not in their daily scope.” Her notepad flew right out of her saddlebag, which she started browsing through, “I’ve tried talking to the ponies in Canterlot, and then Ponyville, but it seems they are not in the mood to do so, thus I had to find other ponies from other places.” Her quill came out and she jotted some notes down, “As of right now, both of you fit the requirements.” “And the requirements are?” Windie enquired as the bag of bits floated above her head. “Both of you are not from here, and you do need some bits at the moment.” The peach unicorn look up from her notepad, “Also, you ponies sort of think differently from others.” These pointers did hit the spot on their situation; They are ‘lost’, bit-less, and having some strange outer-worldly thoughts they could not understand. “For the event, I’ve already planned out the tasks to be done. Each task you complete I’ll dole out more incentives, so no worries, it’ll be fun!” Prezzie seemed to had a eureka moment and began furiously jotted something down. Once she was done, she happily look up from what she had written, “Right now, it seemed to be pretty late to start anything proper...” Both participants agree with Prezzie. The sun was already setting into the horizon, and ponies around them were now making their way home, “Shall we meet you here tomorrow then?” Chrono suggested. “No hurry. Like I said there are still other ponies whom I’m waiting to join in the event, you know, the more the merrier. However, if both of you are eager to start, we can start tomorrow,” Prezzie grinned, “I’m a flexible pony, thus if you two want to have some pony time exploring the town, go right ahead. I’ll be here daily from sunrise and dusk.” Satisfied with her notes, she began to pack up for the night. “That’s pretty hardworking of you.” Windie praised the event maker, “We hope this event you have made will be a great success.” “Thanks!” The peach coated unicorn beamed at the comment, “I’m beginning to like you both, Windie Breeze, Chrono Breaker. I’ll check back with you two when you are ready. See ya!” Having finished packing, Prezzie’s horn glowed and in a blink of magic, she was gone. She knows teleportation!” Chrono turned to Windie with an excited look, “Can you teleport as well?” Windie shook her head slowly, “Uhh… okay… sorry I asked…” “… I can somehow control the wind… if that is what you want to know.” The unicorn replied, not much confidence on her magic. “That’s cool as well! Can you like, create a tornado?” Chrono exaggerated his inquiry, which Windie caught on and replied with a mischievous, yet evil look, “I can try, but if Ponyville is destroyed, will you take responsibility?” Chonro sweatdropped and shook his head in return, “Hehe... ahh… Let’s find a place to rest for the night. I do recall seeing an inn while I was walking pass the street...” He changed the subject, hoping she will not pursue the matter, fortunately. “We could, but I would like to settle something first…” “Hohoo, first day in Ponyville and you’ve hooked up with a mare. You are pretty good!” Chrono recognized the voice, turned to Windie, then back to the two ponies that had approached them. “She’s just somepony I’ve just acquainted with. We have not gone that far yet!” He exclaimed with a slight blush, seeing the grins from Lyra and Bon Bon. “Wow… somepony is popular…” Windie replied nonchalantly, “Instead of one mare, he snagged total of three!” The two ponies did look familiar to her as if she had seen them before. “Et tu Windie?!” Chrono groaned, facehoofing, his cheeks now turning red, causing the cream pelt unicorn to giggle. The giggle was contagious, and soon the other two girls were giggling as well, even though they did not understand what Chrono had uttered. “So, how do you meet this stud? Did he just gloomped on both of you while asking for directions?” Windie winked at Lyra and Bon Bon, hoping they catch her drift. “Nah, he’s just caught our attention, and tried his best to look very lost when he stepped into the park.” Lyra replied with a laugh, catching the Windie's intentions, while Bon Bon facehoofed, knowing this might not end well if played wrongly. “If I have hands with fingers right now, I would have tickled you silly…” Chrono growled with annoyance, holding up a hoof and tried to prod the cream pelt unicorn, who sidestepped with a giggle. Some choice words had come into mind, but somehow he was unable to say it, "Just to sidetrack, have both of you settled your disagreements?" “Ohh, I have those once, thanks to the Poison Joke Plant.” Lyra held up a hoof, “Now that you mentioned it, I kinda missed them appendages…” She whirled her hoof about, as if trying to prove they were once there, "We are always disagreeing on things, but we always compromise." Lyra chuckled, nudging her earth pony partner. “They were ugly Lyra… hooves are much better.” Bon Bon rolled her cyan eyes and sighed, ignoring the nudging, “You are lucky Twilight knew Zecora well, or you would be stuck with them... fingers.” “Ohh, you girls know Twilight Sparkle?” Wind cut in on the mention of the lavender unicorn's name, “Do you know where she stays?” “Duh… everyone in Ponyville know Twilight. She’s Princess Celestia’s student as well as the town’s resident librarian.” Lyra pointed west, where they could see a large tree house, “That’s the library as well as her home.” “Well, Derpy dropped a letter addressed to Twilight while delivering mine, so I decided to help her out since I’m coming here.” Windie pulled out a sealed scroll with her magic, “Thank you again Lyra, Bon Bon…” Their name just popped into her mind as she spoke, which surprised her mentally. “Ponies helped one another!” Lyra smiled, not really concerned how Windie had known her name, as Bon Bon decided to leave her mare friend behind, “Anyways, I’ll be going now. Somepony is getting impatient.” The mint coated unicorn gave a quick nod before running off to catch up with her partner. “They are rather cute together.” Chrono shrugged with a grin as the ponies left, “Do you want to head there now? Or wait until tomorrow?” He turned to Windie as she waved them good bye. “Better be today than tomorrow. Who knows what important contents this letter holds…” “It’s not that far anyways… I’ll accompany you there, but I’ll not step inside…” The dark brown maned pegasus gave her a heads up. “Thanks, Chrono…” The cream coated unicorn nodded as they head to the tree house. The library was literally a house built into a large tree. The magical thing was the tree itself was still very much alive with healthy thick foliage of leaves on every sturdy branches. Windie went up to the door and rapped it with her hoof. “Coming,” A voice was heard. As the door opened, it was not a pony that poked its head out. Rather, a small purple-green dragon as he looked at the two ponies standing at the door, “Can I help you with something? “I have a letter from Twilight Sparkles.” “Strange… Twilight seldom gets mail by hoof,” The little dragon accepted the letter, “Thanks!” He examined the seal on the scroll, “This is rather familiar… where had I seen this…” His eyes widened and ran in. Soon a purple pelt unicorn with a streak of violet and pink on her mane appeared at the doorway, “Evening, I never expect a message from a Princess by hoof.” “The mail mare was supposed to deliver this to you today, but it fell out of her saddlebag… wait… this letter was from a Princess?” Windie looked surprised at Twilight, noting the cutie mark of a purple star surrounded by a group of smaller white stars. “That’s weird… why did Princess Luna ask Derpy to deliver this mail?” She pondered aloud, then looking back at the duo, “Erm… maybe you two should come inside. It’s not nice for me to leave you two stranded outside… Ohh yes, I’m Twilight Sparkles by the way and the little dragon is Spike.” “It’s actually okay Twilight, we were heading back to the inn to rest for the night, and my friend here d0 not like libraries. Unless you really insisted...” Windie grinned as Chrono turned around to prod her with a ‘what are you trying to do’ face. “Its fine, I know a friend who cannot stay long cooped up in here either.” Twilight chuckled, “How about I treat you both a drink? I believe you must be thirsty from the long trip.” “Invitation accepted!” Windie smiled as she nudged the pegasus to follow, “I’m Windie Breeze, and this is…” She nudges him further, “… Chrono Breaker.” At first he refused to enter, but after some coaxes and more nudging, he reluctantly crossed the doorway into the library. “I can’t believe I got coaxed into coming into the library…” Chrono winced as he was being nudged in by the emerald maned unicorn by the horn. “Relax Chrono… There’s nothing to be afraid of!” Windie finally got him in and closed the door behind them. Twilight was clearing the books off the table, stacking them against the wall, her magic pulsing as books were dispatched from the floor to be piled neatly with the rest. “Sorry about the mess, been busy reorganizing the library.” Twilight ushered them to the stools. Soon the dragon re-entered from the kitchen, carrying a tray of drinks, placing them on the table, “Thanks Spike.” She levitated a cup to Chrono, accepting it easily with his hooves, “So Chrono, why are you afraid coming to the library? “No offence Twilight, I like books, it just that I had an accident when I was a colt in a library way bigger than this.” He took a sip of the warm drink, “This is not bad!” He praised, his fears forgotten. “Made from the best apples grown in Sweet Apple Acres,” Twilight took a sip, enjoying the tingling sensation as it flowed down her throat. “That’s AJ’s farm! Is she a friend of yours as well?” Windie asked cheerfully as she took a sip from her cup, “Mmm… this is great!” “Ohh, so you’ve meet Applejack.” The lavender unicorn coughed and tried to imitate the orange earth pony’s accent, “Ah friend of Applejack is ah friend of mine.” Chrono almost choked on his drink while Windie giggled, “Almost there Twilight, but her southern accent was much more pronounced.” “I know!” The purple unicorn grinned as she floated the sealed letter towards her, “Now to see why Princess Luna had to be so… ‘discreet’…” Luna's Letter “At least her cancellations were lesser this time.” Twilight snickered as she passed the now opened letter to Chrono and Windie to read, “What do you think?” Chrono pondered, “I came from the south, but I don’t feel that I have any special abilities… other than having some weird conversations with Lyra and Bon Bon earlier about fingers. Windie read it as well, shaking her head, agreeing with Chrono. “Let’s continue with them tomorrow. I believe you two are tired from the journey, how about staying a night here?” Twilight suggested. “We don’t wish to impose on you…” The ginger pelt pegasus looked at the books around them, “But if it saves us bits, I do not mind.” “We can help you to sort out the books as returning the favor.” Windie finished her drink and headed over to a pile of books, “Just tell us what to do.” “Thank you, both of you! I’m glad to get some extra help. Spike had been grumbling non-stop that we won’t be able to finish it by tonight.” “Shall we begin then? I’m sure with proper supervisions, this can be done by tonight.” Chrono got up and looked at the shelves, hoping they would not fall after filled with books… Author's Note: This chapter took me a while since I got to juggle my job as well as putting aside time to write. I also proof-read several times, correcting my language as well as fleshing out parts of the content which I felt were weak. Hope you enjoy this chapter. Lyra and Bon Bon interrupted! Meeting of Twilight and Spike. What Twilight was up to? Check out in the next chapter! > Chapter 3: Experiments with a Visit from Kindess. > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- My Little Ponies: Friendship is Magic belongs to Hasbro and Lauren Faust. Original Characters belongs to me. Chapter 4: Experiments with a Visit from Kindness. Chrono groaned as he woke up with a yawn, stretching his aching wings. With proper directions yesterday, the books were neatly organized according to the librarian’s preferences just before midnight struck. As the ponies and dragon settled down for the night, Chrono slept on the spare mattress down at the library while Windie shared the bed with Twilight, after much persuasion from the latter that the bed in the bedroom was big enough for both of them. “Morning sleepy head,” Twilight greeted Chrono with a smile as she browsed through the organized shelves, “Breakfast is ready, go ahead and grab a bowl.” Chrono just silently nodded and headed to the kitchen, where Windie was helping Spike in cleaning dishes, “I see you are not a morning pony,” She addressed the pegasus, while nodded to Spike, who muttered a thanks for her help. “Well, we did a lot of work yesterday. I would like to call it a well deserved rest.” He yawned again, settling down at a small table, “So… what’s for breakfast that comes in a bowl? Cereal? Soup?” “You got it right on your second try.” Windie beamed as she levitated the warm bowl of soup she left aside for him onto the table. Chrono looked at the corn cob floating in a mass of small greenish vegetables, “Corn cob with broccoli soup.” “Can I skip this?” He squirmed, prodding the corn cob with the spoon. Even though the soup did smell pretty good, he was not in the mood to have greens at the moment. “If you are looking forward to bacon and eggs, I’m sorry that’s not possible right now, especially the bacon part. Ponies are herbivores for your info.” The emerald maned unicorn pondered with a shrug, “Yes, bacon does sound delicious right now, but I’m getting the intense ‘eww’ vibe saying that…” “What’s bacon?” The curious dragon asked. “Uhh… something you might like, but ponies don’t?” Chrono gave the corn cob a few more pokes before he gave in to his hungry stomach, hoofing the contents of the bowl into his awaiting mouth, “As much as I hate broccoli, this soup actually taste good! Compliments to the chef.” “Thanks!” Spike replied, happy that somepony had praised his work, “I didn’t know corn cobs help to bring out the flavor better. So I do pass on your thanks to Windie.” “Aww… its no biggie…” Windie gave the little dragon a hug, “I do have some knowledge for vegetarian dishes, if you want further assistance in the future, let me know.” Spike nodded smiling. “I’m still kinda hungry though… probably because we work hard yesterday and totally forgot about dinner…” The pegasus sighed, “I could still probably eat a hor… I mean… a crate of apples right now.” “No worries!” Twilight poked her head into the kitchen, “I’ve asked a friend to bring some snacks over while I test out on your abilities, if you have any that is…” Before Chrono could reply, the librarian continued, “Our venue will be the field behind the library, enough space for us to do all sorts of stunts and ‘magic experiments’. This will be fantastic!” “Sounds like somepony is in the mood,” Windie chuckled, “Shall we start then? I seriously hope we get something positive out of this.” The small group soon left the tree house and gathered at the field behind it; Spike had a quill and some scrolls, preparing to write down what he would see or hear. Windie volunteered to go first as she stood a distance in front of Twilight. Chrono was gliding lazily in circles above them. The lavender unicorn seemed to have confirmed on a query she had in her mind regarding the green mane unicorn. “Are you able to tone that down, Windie? You know… that breezy aura you have?” The cream pelt unicorn looked at Twilight with a puzzled look, “What do you mean?” Windie looked at the grass around her, which were waving lightly as if a soft breeze was blowing across them. Her sight went over to Twilight, noting that the grass around the latter’s hooves were not moving at all, “And I thought Equestria is always a breezy region… guess its not huh…” “I actually felt it the moment you stepped into the library yesterday.” Twilight nodded, “And I’ve confirmed it myself… seriously… why was there a breeze in the bedroom when the windows are all closed…” The librarian started to trot back and forth, “Just earlier, I went through some of the books, and narrowed down to a possibility…” She stopped and started at Windie with a serious look, “…you are possessed…” “Uhh… WHAT?!” Windie exclaimed with a worried look, “You mean some pony spirit had possession of my body?!” The breeze around her started to pick up speed on detecting her change in mood, which she was oblivious of. “Actually no…” Twilight giggled with a satisfied look as Windie sighed out in relief, bringing the breeze down as the latter’s mood returned to normal, “I’m just clarifying my findings, and is now happy to inform you that you are not possessed. Its more like… something you possess.” She looked back at Spike, who is furiously writing stuff down on the scroll. Chrono’s ears perked up as he looked over from a cloud he was laying on, wondering what the duo below had discovered. “Equestria lies on the crossroads of elemental leylines, also known as magic energies that helped to create this world.” Twilight started her ‘lecture’, “It is due to the strong magical energies that allows us ponies, who are attuned to the leylines to thrive. To elaborate further, these magical energies live among us as elementals, which are invisible to the naked eye.” She paused for a moment, giving Windie time to digest, “To actually see them, we can cast this spell…” The purple pelt unicorn levitated a book in front of the Windie and flipped to a page, “This spell, though simple, can be dangerous. Some unicorns had actually been blinded permanently by the sheer energies released by the elements.” “It really sounds dangerous…” Windie replied with uneasiness as she read up on the spell shown on the opened book, “So you are saying an elemental was attached to me without my knowledge?” She closed the book and returned it to Twilight, “Have you ever casted this spell before?” The breeze around her started to increase in speed.     “I assumed it could be possible, or maybe the elemental took an interest on you.” Twilight shrugged, “It’s a very rare and unique experience to have a binding contract with them.” She paused, recalling her past experience with the spell, “Once, of course under Princess Celestia’s supervision,” the purple unicorn nodded, “It was really breath-taking to see so… many… of them.” She then shuddered, “Princess Celestia broke the spell as I had gone way beyond the time limit… I had to be blindfolded for several days after that…” Windie was still unsure whether she wanted to go through with this as Chrono got off the cloud he was on and landed beside the unicorn, just a shy away from the wind aura around her. He experimentally prodded with his hoof, and was received by a faint barrier. “Spike, take note. Always give this pony some private space. Any pony getting too close to her will be bucked by her aura.” He joked on purpose, causing the unicorn to glare at him. On cue, the pegasus got ‘bucked’ as her aura suddenly expanded, knocking him ‘harmlessly’ into the air. Chrono let out a laugh, managing to stabilize himself in mid-air with his wings and landed, only to hear a loud squeak of surprise behind him. Everypony turned their attention to the new arrival, whom had landed on her flank in surprise. Her light pink mane covering one of her teal eyes as she looked up at Chrono, who was returning her a concerned look. One of her saddlebag had opened during the fall, allowing several apples rolled out from it.   “Fluttershy!” Twilight galloped over to the fallen yellow pelt pegasus, “Are you alright?” “I… I think so Twilight…” The timid pegasus got up and checked her saddlebags, sighing in relief that contents within the other bag was not damaged, “At least the sandwiches aren’t crushed…” Her teal eyes moved to the ginger pegasus, “I’m sorry I startled you…” “Kawaii*…” Chrono replied as if in a trance.  (*Kawaii = Cute in Japanese) “I’m sorry… but what does… kar..why…yi means?” Fluttershy softly asked, wondering whether her cry of surprise had shocked him so badly that he started sprouting un-intelligible words. “Huh? Ohh…” The ginger pegasus shook his head, “No, its alright. I didn’t know you are right behind me when I landed… and ermm… no worries… I’m just being random just then…” He sheepishly chuckled, seeing the blush of relief shown on Fluttershy’s face, “Shall I help you with the apples?” “I got them.” Twilight replied as she levitated the scattered apples and placed them back into the saddlebag. Meanwhile Spike had already set up a large red-white checkered mat over the ground. “Everypony, this is a friend of mine, Fluttershy. Fluttershy, this is Chrono Breaker and Windie Breeze.” The purple coated unicorn introduced, where everypony acknowledged with nods and smiles, “Shall we settle down for a break?” Minutes later after settling down, “Smooth move, stud…” Windie nipped on a sandwich, “That makes her the fourth on your list of conquest.” She glared evilly at Chrono. The cream pelt unicorn had calmed down; wind barrier lifted and her aura was soft and relaxed. “Uhh… you really like to poke fun of me… don’t you?” Chrono grumbled as he munched on the sandwich given to him, taking glances at Fluttershy, who was having an animated discussion with Twilight. “Your eyes tell me otherwise.” Windie giggled as the little dragon came over and offered them a drink, “Thanks Spike.” She looked at Chrono, who was now munching down on his second sandwich, “I never knew you like sandwiches filled with flowers.” “A hungry pony is an angry pony!” The hungry pegasus chowed down the second and started on the third, “Sanvich ish thasty!” He paused on his meal, noting that Windie had not even finished her sandwich, “Try not to ponder too much about it. Twilight has already shown you the spell, it’s now up to you to decide whether to proceed or not. Take your time though.” The duo continued their meal in silence, which was soon interrupted by the eager librarian. “Time really flies when you had fun. Ready for more experiments, ponies?” “I’m ready…” Chrono looked around, “Where’s Fluttershy?” “She had to go pick up some groceries in town. Apparently she had adopted some animals recently and her new ravenous residents had eaten more than usual.” The ginger pelt pegasus nodded, “Anyways back to you Chrono…” Twilight started trotting slowly around him, her eyes were almost everywhere over his body as she examined him, stopping for longer length of time at his flank where his cutie marks were. His cheeks were red with embarrassment, and his eyes glared at Windie when she started giggling. “From my observation, I can unofficially certify you are a healthy pegasus pony. Your cutie mark is unique however…” She pondered, “I know Colgate has an hourglass cutie mark as well as The Doctor… I wonder whether you are able to manipulate time as well…” “Time manipulation! Awesome!” Chrono grinned, “But I thought only unicorns can use magic…” “True… maybe yours is a passive ability, which only activates when in danger or during the heat of a brawl…” “Or his interest is to break things related to time, like clocks and timepieces.” Windie chipped in with a snicker, “So do keep him away from those, especially large ones. He will probably throw a wrench into the gears.” “You are one evil pony, even when you are in the midst on making an important decision…” Chrono sighed and looked at the lavender unicorn, “If there’s a possibility that this is a passive ability, there is only one way to find out…” He looked around, noting a stream close by, “Maybe we can use some resources from the stream? Like water, or mud?” “Interesting idea…” Twilight nodded, “Yes, we can do that.” “I’m in!” Windie gleefully waved a hoof, “This may be my only chance in giving somepony mud IN THE FACE!” She laughed, only to get a ball of mud on her muzzle, “Eww…Hey! You cheated!” “Spike, take another note. Unless this pony was aware of her surroundings, she will not be able to defend her… opps!” Chrono chuckled as he dodged a ball of mud thrown from his victim. Being a pegasus has its advantages on its dexterity and agility, “You can do better than that… uhh…Twilight?” He looked at Twilight, who had levitated hundreds of mud balls of different sizes behind her, “That’s rather overkill, don’t you think?” Turning to the river bank, he saw the river bad been slightly widened from all the magic diggings. “Being under pressure helps to manifest passive abilities quicker,” Twilight smiled with a grin as she gave Windie a wink, who was now gaping wide at the librarian’s magic ability, “Ready to be slugged?” She giggled, somewhat enjoyed what she was about to do. That did the trick as Chrono felt the tension rising within his body. Mud balls, if thrown playfully, were harmless and only create a huge mess, but the way Twilight was smiling and grinning, it looked like it would hurt... and it did. The first ball came at him was extremely fast and it smacked against his forehead, causing him to jerk upward, eyes scrunching in pain from the impact. Several others followed and pelted his side, causing him to almost topple to his side as he struggled to maintain his balance. “Are you alright Chrono, should I stop?” He heard the concern voice of the librarian and shook his head to clear the mud off his head. “No, you are doing fine Twilight...” The pegasus steadied himself, “I wasn’t prepared to face fast moving mud balls... keep them coming.” With Chrono’s acknowledgement, Twilight started slow, sending a few at a time. The pegasus was ready this time, as he evaded some, getting one or two hits per round. His difficulty increased when Windie had recovered from the gawking and started creating her own mud balls. Her ‘throws’ were slower, but they were enough to distract him enough for the librarian to get in more painful hits. Twilight upped the difficulty progressively, throwing more and more at him. At some points of time, he took the full blunt of a round, which felt like somepony had bucked him in several places. That increased the stress he was taking, causing a strange sensation bubbling up from within. “I can feel something... oww... ok...” Chrono made a flip, “Send everything... at me... “He dodged the next few. “You sure about that?” Twilight continued to pelt at the pegasus with a worried look. “Throw everything... Go!” The purple pelt unicorn paused her attacks as she concentrated, her horns glowing brighter as the remaining mud balls around her start to gain momentum. Windie, too had stopped throwing, feeling the strong magic flowing through Twilight as she shifted to where Spike was for safety. “This is gonna be awesome!” Chrono grinned as he prepared himself for the ‘onslaught’. If his so-called ability did not manifest in time, he would be ‘riddled’ with mud balls until nopony will be able to recognise him. It would also be too painful to the point he may get knocked out from all the pelting received. With a shout from Twilight, she let loose all the ammunition at her disposal at her target... Windie could not look... Chrono felt the sudden rush of adrenaline as the mass of projectiles came at him, his mind screaming at him to evade. However, his hooves were rooted at the spot, and he cursed himself, wondering where the accumulated energy had gone to... then he pounced backwards... Everything around him slowed down; Chrono could see the wisps of wind around Windie as she gasped and tried to cover her eyes slowly with her hooves, a stunned Spike holding the quill and scroll as the latter watched, the multitude of mud balls coming at the pegasus at a extremely slow pace right in front of him... and his cutie mark glowed... “Time! Lend me your power!” Twilight was totally caught off guard when Chrono started moving in a blur, evading her frontal mud balls with cruel efficiency. Quickly, she amended her tactic, sending her projectiles from different directions at her target; her magic flared brightly from her horn as she poured more magic outwards, increasing their speed. Chrono dodged the mud balls easily enough as his passive ability came online. However, now with the librarian changing her approach in her ‘attacks’, the mud balls were practically buzzing around him like slow-moving angry bees as he evaded them. Once he tried smacking away a ball that got too close to his face with a hoof, the sensation from the impact felt like he was trapped in a bell tower when it chimed, almost causing him to lose concentration. Chrono was tiring out and he knew once he exhausted the ability, he would be mud slugged, BIG TIME. His eyes went to Windie, who had her wind barrier upped for safety... a grin appeared on his face... “Spike... you think we should stop Twilight?!” Windie cried out as a stray mud ball struck her erected wind barrier, protecting both unicorn and dragon. “Once she start, its impossible to stop her!” Spike winced as another brown splat mark appeared on the barrier. “Spike... is it me or Twilight is turning towards our direction.” True enough, Twilight was tracking the ginger blur, barely noticing that the protected duo was almost within her line of fire. Windie had to come up with something fast or they be splattered as well, “I’m sorry Twilight!” “How is he doing this?!” Twilight growled under her breath as her projectiles flew around the blurry pegasus, not even striking home one bit, already forgotten why she started this ‘experiment’ in the first place. Her frustration overtook her priority, now wanting to make sure she slugged that pegasus, oblivious that her mud swarm had contacted Windie’s barrier until the cream pelt unicorn shouted out.... A huge popping sound was heard as two magical energies struck one another, cancelling each other out, but not before hurling the mud balls everywhere. When it was over, the section of the field they were in was covered with scattered mud, except for the area around Windie where she had set up the barrier. “Is everypony alright?” Windie and Spike looked around, spotting Chrono first as he got up to shake the mud off. “I’m good...” He panted, “Aww, this is going to take a while to clean...” The pegasus moaned as he tried to shake off the mud from his tail with no avail. The duo found Twilight next, who had taken the blunt of the mud shower. The purple unicorn was totally buried in mud, groaning and coughing from the onslaught as they cleared the mud off her, “Ugh... what... happened...” “You got counter-slugged Twilight...” Spike replied as Windie helped the fallen unicorn up, “Let’s get you clean up first before we continue with anything else.” “I got her!” Chrono came over and lifted her over his back, “she’s my responsibility since I got her into this ‘mess’...” He nodded to Spike, “You should go back and prepare a warm tub for her...” The purple unicorn felt very warm on his back, “Scratch that, a cold tub would be better.” Turning to Windie, “You be alright over here Windie?” “I think so...” The cream coated unicorn looked at the mud scattered field, then at the soiled picnic mat and saddlebag, “I’ll pack up and join you all shortly.” Chrono nodded as he headed back to the tree house with a semi-conscious Twilight on his back. Author's Note: A large chapter. Fluttershy was in for a brief period of time as Twilight tried to find out the other two ponies abilities. Had a lot of grammar mistakes when I got this done, thus the slight delay in getting this up. Enjoy. > Chapter 4: Treehouse Discovery, along with Generosity. > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- My Little Ponies: Friendship is Magic belongs to Hasbro and Lauren Faust. Original Characters belongs to me. Chapter 4: Treehouse Discovery, along with Generosity. As the semi-conscious Twilight was brought back to the tree house by Chrono with Spike behind him, Windie made her way to where the picnic mat and saddlebag, which were splatted in several places by the mud-plosion. She wanted to clean off the mud but restrained herself knowing that it would get messier with her current magic ability. Sighing out, she began to think back on what Twilight had deduced earlier that an elemental was bounded to her. “... can.... hear...” A dull voice, close, but somewhat distant could be heard in her mind, “... believe... hear... clearer...” “I... I don’t understand...” Windie shook her head, hoping the voice will either go away or elaborate further, “Are you... it?” “... spell... help... believe... aero...” “The spell!” The cream unicorn gasped and easily recalled the spell Twilight showed her earlier. “Lets see... aqua, aero, terra, pyro... these are the terms used to signify the elements in fantasy books I’ve read before...” “... remove... except... aero...” “I think I understand...” Windie closed her eyes and reformulate the spell in her mind. Her horn started to glow as magic poured into it. Mentally, she casted the spell, feeling a warm sensation in her eyes as she completed it, the glow on her horn went off with a soft ‘pop’. A short silence followed before the unicorn opened her eyes only to see a peculiar sight... A small green sprite, half unicorn pony, half eagle, floated in front of her. It was trying to get Windie’s attention by waving booth hooves in front of her eyes. “Uhh... Hi?” The unicorn uttered, causing the sprite to squeak in surprise and tumbled backwards. However, it quickly recovered and stood its ‘ground’, literally in the air. “You certainly took your time you silly mare!” The sprite tried to look annoyed, “This One been trying to contact you since yesterday morning!”  Windie could see its mouth moved, but its voice was projected into her mind. “Well duhh... I never knew I got something attached to me.” The unicorn is not letting a small sprite to climb over her head, “Anyways, what are you anyways? Some dead pony ghost?” For a moment, the green sprite went into shock, Windie could actually see its cheek going deep green and felt its embarrassment, “Uncouth!” and anger, “Dis-Respectful!” The unicorn then felt a strong magical surge through the sprite, whipping up the surrounding air around the duo, “In-Tolerable!” It squeaked loudly at the former mentally, preparing to bring its ‘wrath’ down on her. It was then the sprite’s magic energy suddenly fizzled out, after which it plopped on the ground in a daze. Windie initially wanted to leave the dazed sprite where it had fallen, however she noticed that the wet mud on the picnic mat and saddlebag had been dried by the buffet of wind, which made cleaning up easily and less messy. Sighing out, she reluctantly levitated the sprite and placed it on her head, before heading back to the tree house with the two picnic items floating behind her. About half an hour later after Chrono, Twilight and Spike returned from their outing. “How is Twilight?” Chrono enquired as Spike came down from the stairs. The pegasus’ stomach had been growling since he entered the tree house. “Over-exertion of magic... she’ll be alright.” The baby dragon replied with a relief. Earlier on Chrono had helped the semi-conscious unicorn back to her home and placed her in the cold tub of water prepared by Spike. The way Twilight sighed as she was lowered into the cool water gave the duo the assurance she was feeling better, “Where’s Windie by the way? And that sound tells me you are hungry.” As if on cue, the door opened and the cream pelt unicorn came in with the folded up soiled mat, and saddlebag. ** “Sorry all, had to clear off the mud as much as possible before coming back in with them. The good news though...” Placing the mat at a corner, Windie brought the saddlebag over and opened them, revealing some sandwiches and apples, “The left-overs are safe.” The pegasus pounced over and swiped two apples before the others could react, immediately chowed down on them. He quickly finished his apples, “You don’t mind?” He looked at Windie, who was nipping on an apple at a corner, somewhat in a trance as she bobbed her head, her horn glowing softly. Chrono then turn to Spike who shook his head, “Alright, I shall chow down without remorse!” A sneeze was heard from above, prompting the little dragon to head back up to the bathroom. Moments later, Twilight came down the stairs unsteadily with Spike beside her. She was wrapped up in a robe, her mane and tail still damp even after drying with towels. The sight in front of her was amusing, yet weird at the same time as she settled down beside Chrono, who had finished the contents in the saddlebag. “Feeling better?” The pegasus enquired, smiled seeing the purple unicorn nodded as Spike went off to the kitchen to prepare some warm soup for her. “No hurry about post-experiments reports. Both of us are still coming to terms with what we have discovered...” He turned to Windie, who was still in a trance-like state, “Yeap! We still need some time...” Chrono got up, went over to pick up the bundle of scrolls Spike had jotted down during the course of the experiments, and placed it on the table in front of Twilight, “No magic, anything you need, just call me.” He quickly cut the purple coated unicorn off before she could say anything, “No buts, as much as I’m your guest, but I got you to this state, so I’m responsible for your well-being...” Both found themselves almost nose to nose, causing Chrono to blush and quickly turned away, “...until you are better...” Fortunately for him, Twilight was still groggy on noticing their close proximity. “Twilight darling,” A very polite rapping against the wooden door was heard, “Are you in?” Before the time bending pegasus could get up to open the door, Spike zipped over and opened it, “Ahh, thank you Spike...” A porcelain pelt unicorn, her violet mane and tail brushed with an exquisite style, entered the library and gasped on seeing the enfeebled librarian, “Ohh goodness! Twilight, what happen to you?!” She dashed over, left Spike spinning while running past him, “I felt a magic surge a while back, and I wondered whether you might been trying out some complicated spell...” Twilight waved a hoof weakly as she looked at her concerned friend, "I'm fine Rarity, a day or two of rest and I'll recover." She next looked over to her other two guests, "They can fill you in on what happened, while I quietly sit here and read.” Spike had somewhat recovered from his spinning and heading back to the kitchen dizzily. “Hello there...” Chrono got up, and offered his hoof as gentlecolt as possible, making sure it was cleaned, “Chrono Breaker at your service. And that unicorn over there is Windie Breeze, who is currently ‘busy’ at the moment.” “Rarity... charmed...” Rarity hesitated at first, then realising she did not really clean hers that well when she came in, “Though I find it awkward returning a greeting to a gentlecolt who looked... unkempt.” She kept an air of sophistication as she returned a hoof and shook his. “Apologies about the ‘mess’... we had a rough day, and I don’t have the luxury of time in making myself presentable.” Chrono chuckled as they settled back down, “Let me give you a run down on what happened...” After retelling the events that led to the incident, “Miss Rarity, I’m sure you are wondering why Twilight was exhausted but Windie was not?” The unicorn, sporting the cutie mark of three blue gems nodded, “I’m trying to get her attention as well... she had been like this since she came back into the library.” Chrono sighed and went over to the en-tranced Windie, prodding her shoulder, “See what I mean...” “Hmm... I see...” Rarity joined the pegasus as she prodded the cream unicorn gently with no avail, “You mentioned about a spell that Twilight showed her. Could you show me that as well?” Chrono went over to the librarian, who had the book, with paged bookmarked at the ready and handed him, which he brought it to the fashionista, “Interesting... Elemental Sight.” She closed the book and started to draw magical energy, her horn started glowing, “Every unicorn will have to cast this once in their lifetime to determine their compatibility with the basic elements.” Twilight’s ears perked up on hearing her friend’s explanation, “The spell in this book my dear friend has is the original spell...” “You mean there are other versions of the spell?” The librarian interrupted as she looked at Rarity with awe, “I’ve gone through all my spell books in the library...” “Darling... now I kind of understand why one of our friend called you an ‘egghead’...” Rarity remained composed, while Chrono snickered, causing Twilight to blush in embarrassment, “If you read between the lines of the spell, you should notice the terms for each element. All you have to do is to omit the terms to filter the elements you do not want to see.” She grinned, noticing the librarian’s very red cheeks, “Alright Mr Breaker, what element should I be looking at?” Rarity asked, her horn finally powered up. “Windie did tell me she was familiar with wind magic. I suppose wind element is our best bet right now Miss Rarity.” Chrono shifted himself to the table in case Windie should recover and start hitting him with a ‘wind hammer’ or something because of being too close. Rarity acknowledged with a nod as she closed her eye to complete the spell, her horn having the smiliar glow as Windie’s as the former opened her eyes and gasped out, “Ohh Celestia... this is not... possible... This is the BEST... POSSIBLE... THING!” Chrono and Twilight stared at the stuttering unicorn, her legs started to look shaky, only bow down as if in respect for her fellow unicorn. “This is not what I’m suppose to expect...” The time pegasus stared at the two unicorns with surprise, while Twilight gasped, her mind already processing what may had happened while Rarity had casted the spell. Spike too, had gasped out as he poked his head out to see the commotion. Time seemed to have stood still as everypony, plus a dragon, watch the two unicorns staring at one another as if some epic magic battle was happening in their minds. Finally, Rarity broke off from the trance, staggering a bit before steadying herself, “I think I really need a place to sit down...” She was tempted to ‘summon’ her favourite lounge chair over but restrained herself as she carefully trotted over to Twilight and settled down, not before a blur of purple and green placed a cushion below the fashionista, which quickly disappeared back into the kitchen. “What did you find out?” Her friend enquired, curiosity danced in the purple unicorn’s eyes. Rarity held up a hoof, indicating her need to organize and process what she had experienced mentally, “You don’t want to go there Twilight... unless you are ready...” She took a deep breath, letting her lungs release the air steadily, “I feel better... now my dear...” Turning to Twilight, “Miss Breeze has an wind elemental attached to her...” “I suspected that much,” Twilight nodded, “I just don’t understand how she was not exhausted from the magic cancellation. Any ordinary elemental still needs magical energy from the unicorn it was bound to to sustain itself.” “Not some ordinary elemental... with due respect, a Wind Elemental Lord.” “Huh? Wait... WHAT?!” Twilight’s eyes widened as she exclaimed. Chrono too, was surprised at the new discovery. “You heard me Twilight, a Wind, Elemental, Lord.” Rarity replied in a clear, concise manner. “There’s no way an elemental lord will attach to a pony! Star Swirl the Bearded only managed to communicate with them at most. A contract with one of them is SIMPLY IMPOSSIBLE!” Twilight exclaimed even louder as the little dragon came back in, placing the bowls of hot soups and glasses of apple juice before settling down beside Rarity. ** “Well... Mission: Impossible, Possibled.” A voice was heard beside them, almost making Rarity jump in fright. All turned to the cream coated unicorn, who had shifted herself to the vacant spot at the table, calmly drinking the apple juice, “She wasn’t that bad, just demanding at times... oww... okay... I get you...” Windie winced as if somepony hit her on the head, and looked at them sheepishly, “And its alright not to bow to her now, since you all can’t see her.” Both Rarity and Twilight sighed in relief as they started on the quick meal offered to them. Chrono shifted a bit to Windie’s side, “So... nothing bad happened?” Her head shook as she started drinking the soup, “Looks like you managed to control the wind aura...” She nodded, “Is she still around? Just out of respect, what’s her name?” Windie sighed, placing the half finished soup on the table, “Yes Chrono, Lady Sefarina is sitting on my head... and if you don’t sit there quietly and finish your meal, she’ll ‘boop’ you with a Wind Hammer.” That definitely silenced the pegasus as he started drinking his soup. With the meal over, Rarity and Twilight huddled together and discussed over the events that had happened, occasionally looking at Windie, who was back at the corner ‘chatting’ with Sefarina, while Chrono went over to help Spike with the dishes. “I noticed you are always looking at Rarity...” Chrono leaned closed to Spike as he was wiping up the bowls, “You had a crush on her?” “Yea...” The little dragon sighed softly, “I do like her... but she doesn’t think that way...” “Well, you are a dragon... and she’s a pony...” The pegasus knew he was blunt in this, “Still, you can try your best and hope things get better. Who knows...” Chrono paused, “How about this, once Rarity leaves... , we can setup a sleepover.” “That be great! Every time Twilight’s friends come over, I always felt left out. This time its just us guys!” Spike replied excitedly. “You got it partner! And the girls can have upstairs for themselves while we occupy the vast expense of the library!” Chrono chuckled, “However, I do need a shower to get the mud off first..” As the duo exited the kitchen, Rarity had just wrapped up the conversation with Twilight. “Thank you for your time, and concern Rarity.” Twilight hugged her friend as they got up. “Not a problem my dear. Remember to rest well.” Rarity smiled and returned the hug. “Its been a pleasure to meet you Mr Breaker.” “Not a all Miss Rarity. We would probably be meeting much more often since I’ll be staying in Ponyville for a while, also do call me Chrono... Mr Breaker sounds so... destructive.” Chrono nodded politely. “I do agree on that,” Rarity giggled as she headed to the door, which was opened by Spike, “I’ll be taking my leave Miss Breeze... and Lady Sefarina.” “Windie would be fine... and Sefarina says ‘Your welcome’.” Windie replied as she looked up at the porcelain unicorn. “If you happen to pass by the Carousel Boutique, do come in to visit. I might some dresses you might be interested in.” “Sure thing Miss Rarity. It will be a pleasure.” “Call me Rarity instead. The ‘Miss’ makes me feel... old somehow. The same goes for you Chrono.” With that, she thanked Spike and left the library, heading back to her home-cum-boutique. ** Indicated above where the below scenario was happening in the background.** “Sorry all, had to clear off the mud as much as possible before coming back in with them. The good news though...” Placing the mat at a corner, Windie brought the saddlebag over and opened them, revealing some sandwiches and apples, “The left-overs are safe.” The cream pelt unicorn allowed Chrono to ‘strike’ at the food first before she took an apple for herself. A movement was felt on her head, somewhat indicating that the sprite had recovered from the daze as she went to a corner of the library. Settling down, she gently plucked the sprite with magic and levitated it in front of her, causing the latter to giggle. “Laugh all you want...” The sprite pouted cutely as it sat in the air, not even resisting the spell which held it, “This One regretted protecting you from the mud storm that crazy purple mare casted earlier...”  “Mud storm? Ohh...” Windie replied mentally as she start nibbling on the apple, not wanting others to think she’s crazy as she released the sprite, placing it on the wooden floor, “You are an elemental...” The air elemental’s ears perked up and looked at the cream unicorn, it floated up in front of the latter and give a cough, “Why yes! I am The One!”  It held its head high, reminding Windie somepony she knew, “Now This One shall excused itself, do release the bindings.” “Um... how do I do that?” Windie asked, then gasped, “Wait a minute... so its true... but... I don’t have a binding contract with you... how could you be bound?” The elemental sprite facehoofed, “You are kidding, aren’t you?” it asked the unicorn, who shook her head sadly, “This One is an Elemental Lord! How could This One be bound to a silly mare?!”  It began to ‘trot’ around Windie’s head in deep thoughts for a bit before slumping its shoulders in defeat, “This One can’t remember...” “Seems like this Elemental Lord is having memory issues as well...” Windie sighed, “Maybe for now, we should work together until an opening is available to us.” The unicorn mentally created a mini version of herself, “Windie Breeze... How should I address you?” “I had many names... and no specific gender...” It examined itself, “From the form given... I’m half unicorn and ohh... half eagle...”  It tried to lift its hind talons, but was stopped by the cream unicorn. “Umm... from your voice, I can tell you are feminine... so you don’t really need to check ‘there’ to find out...” Windie flustered on her reply, “Now maybe a name...” “Yes, a name fitting for This One!” It smiled, already forgotten about what it had tried to do earlier, “Let’s see... Aura... nah, too common... Anemon... too fishy... Zephyr... very one directional...” It pondered further, finally getting a breakthrough, “Sefarina! This One likes this name very much!” It squealed in delight as it bounced around Windie. “Ok...” The unicorn chuckled, “So lets try again. I’m Windie Breeze... and you are...” “Sefarina!” She declared, “Hmm... This One is an Elemental Lord... so...” Sefarina pointed a hoof at Windie with a smug, “You, my first loyal subject, have to call This One Lady Sefarina!” Windie rolled her eyes, “Let me remind you we are suppose to be working together, not you claiming Lordship...” “Ohh Celestia... this is not... possible... This is the BEST... POSSIBLE... THING!” “Lady Sefarina knows Princess Celestia!” Sefarina chimed and turned to the new voice, “But... Lady Sefarina does not know this new unicorn...” “Ahh... forgive me... Milady...” The porcelain pelt unicorn with an exquisite combed mane and tail stammered as she gave a bow, “I... Rarity... came here to request Windie’s... presence back in the physical world...” “Hello Miss Rarity,” Windie stepped up, “I suppose you are one of Twilight’s friends? I’m so sorry for not being physically available when you came in, as well as causing some inconvenience for you to come pick me up.” “Don’t mentioned it Miss Breeze,” Rarity tried not to glance at the elemental, “You had been in a trance for quite a while, and I’m the only able unicorn available to contact you...” “Lady Sefarina here...” “Its my first time one of her kind being bound to me... and I do need to set some rules due to the special circumstances...” “Don’t ignore Lady Sefarina.......” “Verily! We are talking about an Elemental Lord...” Rarity had to take a quick glance, “Is she easy to handle?” “This One heard that......” “She acts like a filly on the first day of school...” “This One has been here since the creation of Equestria......” “So you aren’t worried she’ll bring her wrath down on you?” “Lady Sefarina will bring her wrath down on this wretched mare!! This One will....!!!” A hoof came down hard on the elemental’s head, causing her to squeal out in pain, “This One is gonna tell...!!!” Another time the same hoof came down, “You.... you... Uncouth! Dis-respectful! Bully!!!!” The hoof came down the third time on Safarina, which finally broke her down as she cried. “Told you she’s a filly...” Windie huffed and stared down at the crying sprite, “Third time is always a charm...” “Ha... haha...” Rarity chuckled with a concerned tone, “Well,  I’ll go back out and update Twilight and Mr. Breaker on your situation... Looks like everything here is under control...” The porcelain pelt unicorn left with a popping sound as the spell broke from her side. Windie dissipated her mental form and levitated the now sobbing elemental onto her head, “I don’t care what you are, as long we have not establish our roles in this matter, you are just a bounded filly spirit... Understood?” Not waiting for Sefarina’s reply, the cream pelt unicorn returned to the physical world. Author's Note: This chapter took me a while due to work issues and Writer's Block. I'm also currently writing up another fanfic while tackling this. Thus bear with me if there's any delays. After-actions report and discoveries between ponies. > Chapter 5: Night-Time Reflections. > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- My Little Ponies: Friendship is Magic belongs to Hasbro and Lauren Faust. Original Characters belongs to me. Chapter 5: Night-Time Reflections. The sun was beginning to set when Rarity left. Windie resumed her ‘talk’ with Sefarina, while Chrono continued to wait on Twilight as she went through the reports and processed her findings. Soon, the lavender unicorn let out a soft yawn, prompting Chrono to get up and persuade Twilight rest up for the night. As much as the lavender unicorn insisted that she’s not tired, the additional pressure placed by Windie and Spike made her gave up her insistance, thus Twilight wearily stomped up the stairs to the bedroom, with her two guests behind her. The ginger pegasus took the chance to get cleaned up in the bathroom, with much censored cursing and swearing at his unfamiliarity in cleaning up without having fingers. Fortunately Windie was at hoof to help him in ‘air-drying’ his soaking wet body, much to Sefarina’s annoyance. Twilight, even though she could not see or hear the conversation, from Windie's muzzle expressions showed the emerald maned unicorn was pretty much in control...   "How are the boys holding up downstairs?" Windie asked as she exited the bathroom, feeling refreshed after the shower. Twilight broke off from her trance and looked down where Chrono and Spike was, "Have a look yourself," Twilight giggled weakly. Indeed, the ginger pegasus and little dragon was chatting animatedly as Windie looked down from bedroom section, “Looks like they are having a good time.” Windie giggled and settled down on the soft floor mat beside her. The lavender unicorn had discarded the robe and exchanged for a blanket, which she bundled herself with to keep warm. Twilight enjoyed the extra company, but slightly uncomfortable with the presence of a higher being around her. "Windie, is Lady Sefarina unhappy that she is being bound to you?" Twilight asked while levitating a bowl of warm soup to Windie. Apparently Spike had left them a tray with two bowls of soup and six apples, so that the duo should not need to venture to the lower floor for food anytime soon. “Initially she was upset, however we decided to call a truce until we meet up with one of the Princesses for a solution.” Windie accepted the bowl, “Right now, she’s pretty much curious in everything we are doing right now.” She began to take small sips with the spoon provided. “Even the way we eat?” Twilight continued her question, getting a nod from the emerald maned unicorn, “I suppose she should be, since an Elemental Lord could not be bound and they only hear stories and experiences from other elementals.” She too began to take sips of soup from her bowl, “I wonder whether its possible for me to actually talk to her without casting the spell?” Windie pondered as she mentally conversed with the Elemental Lord. Soon, a mischevious grin was forming on the her muzzle as the plan was being worked out. She glanced at Twilight, noted that the lavender unicorn had went into another trance, probably in deep thought. Windie edged close, carefully not to startle her unicorn friend, and subtlety tapped her blunt horn tip at the side of Twilight’s horn, sharing her Elemental Sight spell with the latter. The slight surge of magic energy broke Twilight from her trance. Shaking her head to clear her mind, she had her suspicions and turned to look at Windie, who was ‘innocently’ enjoying her soup. Mentally sweeping away her suspicions, she turned back to finish up her soup when she noticed a little green half pony, half eagle spirit swimming in it. “Do you know you are my very best.... err... royal subject?” It commented, looking up at Twilight with beady eyes. The lavender unicorn went blank for a second or so before squealing out in surprise and magically tossed the bowl out of the open window, not before Windie recovered it, togther with the soup contents. Sefarina was writhing in laughter as Twilight stared at the little green sprite in shocked and confusion. The lavender unicorn stiffly turned to Windie, muttering, “She... how... what?” Windie shrugged as she put aside the bowls, trying to hold back a giggle, and replied, “The Lady Sefarina insisted that you should meet her, even though you are the crazy purple mare who tried to ‘attack’ her first ‘royal subject’... ohh Celestia...” The cream pelt unicorn felt foalish saying it, thus face-hoofing herself before falling to her side laughting softly.   Realising she had been pranked upon, Twilight rolled her eyes and sighed, then staring at the still gigging elemental, who did not look intimidating at all, “Lady Sefarina, it is an honour to meet an Elemental Lord like yourself among us ponies...” Sefarina hurriedly composed herself and positioned herself in a regal manner, “Lady Sefarina is glad that the crazy purple mare wishes an audience... what does the crazy purple mare wish to know?”   Twilight eyelid was twitching with annoyance at Sefarina, but she kept her cool, “My name is Twilight Sparkles, Personal Student of Princess Celestia, one of the Elements of Harmony, and Librarian for Ponyville Library.” She paused, eyeing the elemental, “If Princess Celestia was to appear before you, how do you react?" The reply came quick from Sefarina, "Mutual. We don't bow to anyone unless they are the creators of the world." "You mean the Princesses were not involved in the creation?" "They only manage the sun and the moon, nothing else. And from my recollection, I believe Equestria was founded by the three species of ponies, not them." The elemental smirked on seeing Twilight being outplayed, "And technically, Lady Sefarina was around even before Equestria was founded. Those Windigoes were a handful! Them rogue wind spirits fed on fighting and hatred, creating eternal snow and cold in regions of conflicts. Even when Lady Serfarina and her brothers and sisters chased them away, they would come back again and again." "So... there will be times an elemental lord will be weak and useless..." Twilight quipped back. "We may grow weak, but not useless," Sefarina snorted in the most possible regal manner, "The creators made sure that all four elements had to be present everywhere, or the world will end." She glared at the large lavender pony before her, "So what are you trying to ascertain Twilight Sparkler, the crazy purple mare?" Twilight's eyelid twitched again, "Trying to confirm I'm talking to the real deal here, not some elemental lord wannabe. And my name is Twilight Sparkles, not crazy purple mare." She could hear a snicker coming from the emerald mane unicorn beside her. "You should be glad my number one royal subject persuaded me not to bring my wrath down, or your tree house gets uprooted by my tornado, causing much unhappiness to my earthern brother, or sister, Twilight Sparkley, the crazy lavender mare." Sefarina nodded with a grin, only to be caught by the now annoyed librarian's telekinesis. She tried to pry herself free, but the magical grab became tighter, "Meep! Lady Sefarina requests aid from her royal subject... please?!" "Meh... you have just annoyed the most powerful unicorn in Equestria... I can't help you on this..." Windie replied without a care, munching on an apple she had taken up from the tray. "Uhh..." The elemental was now muttering as she looked up at the very annoyed and crossed face of her captor, "Nice purple mare? Twilight Sparklie... err Sparkie? wait hold on... All-Sparks? Meep!" Meanwhile, the boys had set up their little get together corner, with both Chrono’s mattress and Spike’s basket placed side by side within close by safe proximity of the fireplace. The little dragon had also brought down his stacks of graphic novels, also known as comics to be shared with his sleepover buddy, who was flipping over the pages of the first book he could place his hooves on. “Whoever drew these must be a genius!” Chrono squealed almost in a fan boy manner, “And I thought there are only books filled with text in Equestria.” “Twilight never like them, thus you never see these babies on the shelves,” Spike replied with a laugh, “Anyways these are my private collection. So far I’ve only shared them with Rainbow Dash during one of the girls’ sleepover.” “Apparently, some mare didn’t like doing girly stuff,” Chrono chuckled, “She sounds like an interesting pony to meet.” He picked up a comic titled ‘Bat-mane’, “What is she like?” “Brash and loud, who can’t sit still without anything to do.” The purple dragon shrugged, “Has a large ego to boot and loves challenges...” Spike glared at the ginger pegasus, “Windie was right! She knew you would ask me about Twilight’s friends.” “It’s something to talk about, right?” Chrono glared back with a grin as he put down the comic, “And I was about to touch on Rarity next, are you interested or not?” Spike’s glare changed from a slight wary to immediate interest, quickly sitting beside the pegasus. “Talk about quick turn around.” Chrono chuckled and continued, “What’s your crush level on that sophisticated unicorn?" Spike cheeks went red from the question, "To get her attention and acknowledgement... and maybe more?" "I believe you got her attention and acknowledgement all right, still, I did say earlier that you are a dragon, she's a pony..." The ginger pegasus brought a hoof over the little dragon's shoulder, "Be appreciative on what she gave you, and not ask for more." "Gee, you sound like a professional love relationship consultant. Are you sure your talent is only on time manipulation?" Chrono paused and pondered abit, "Hmm, it's weird how these ideas came popping into my head every now and then..." He scratched his head with a sheepish grin, "Because I'm the Mystery Pony!" He hailed, chuckling out, "So we have covered Rarity and Rainbow Dash, who shall we discuss about next?" Spike wondered just for a moment, "How about Mystery Pony Number Two?" Both pony and dragon looked up at the emerald mane unicorn, who was giggling at Twilight's frustrated antics, who possibly had made contact with something invisible. "She's a Mystery Pony all right, just like me... except that she's an unicorn." The ginger pegasus chuckled with a nod, "Nosey, loves to make fun of other ponies..." "Touché Chrono, Touché..." Windie's voice echoed in his head, causing him to look back up, noting the smirk on the cream pelted unicorn's face. "Anyways," He coughed, resuming his analysis, "She's easy going, very observant, too helpful at times." Chrono took a glance up, noting that Windie's ears are perked, trying to listen in what's being conversed below. "So... do you have a crush on her... like what you had with Fluttershy?" Spike, causing the ginger pegasus to sputter in surprise, Fortunately the latter was not having a drink at the moment. "I'm... not sure... so far we have been mutual with one another due to the common situation we are in, and I'm not complaining... though she can be rather cute when embarrassed." Chrono grinned, managed to catch a glimpse of a blushing unicorn before being smacked in the face by a magically thrown pillow, falling sideways onto the mattress, "Gah! And thanks for the extra pillow." He waved a hoof, with Spike joining him in laughter. Author's Note: Writer's Block got me again for this chapter, causing delays. Finally finished this though. Will be alternating this with another story I am doing. Before bed discussions and discoveries.
