> Siblings > by thelunarmoon > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- > I. > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- I. A princess should never have to banish her own flesh and blood. No matter the circumstances. But this is what Celestia has held inside her head, ever since that fateful day. Swaddled in regret, she asks herself. What could she have done differently? She never wanted to hurt her little sister. Luna gave her no choice. Luna was putting herself, her sister and above all else Equestria in danger. Celestia never fully understood the reasons until it was far too late. Her sister, miles away from her home. A home she believed that should have loved her as much as her older sibling.  Celestia sighed as she sat at a royal red adorned table. The table was plastered in food for the evening meal of the royal palace. A cup levitating in her golden aura of magic, her eyes vacant as she stared into it. A dark earthen abyss of tea that had long gone lukewarm from her not nursing her thirst. Celestia gently touched the lip of the cup as she swallowed a good gulp of the liquid. Her dry tongue thanking her for the refreshing tea, even if it had lost its warmth over an hour ago. Muffled voices began to tickle at her ears as someone was speaking to her. "C-celestia...? Are you ok?" Celestia's ears flicked as she recognized the voice and turned her head towards it. A midnight royal blue alicorn just below her chest height was leaning close to her from the adjacent seat. Her light blue eyes looked at her with a hint of worry in them. Celestia's younger sister Luna was trying to talk to her. Celestia gives herself a firm blink to center her thoughts back in the present moment. "...L-luna. Sorry I was lost in thought." Luna gave a small frown, knowing that Celestia tends to not daydream during a meal. "Well knowing you, that's rare for my sister to be lost in her ever present brain." Luna attempts to help bring her sister a bit of joy in her coy wording. Her elder sister being the forever workaholic she always has been. Celestia decides to give a soft smile in return. "Well I do have to agree, I have been kinda distracted as of late." Celestia gives her feathers a gentle stretch as she speaks. Flexing her wings and letting them rest against her sides. Celestia returns her vision to the meal in front of her. A plate of noodles in a soft red sauce and a refreshing salad setting to its side. A slice of fresh bread, coated in melted cheese sat in the bowl of noodles. Not a single bite has been taken out of the meal . Luna looks at the food in front of Celestia then to her sister.  "You've not touched your dinner either sister. Are you sure you're ok?" Celestia gave her sister a small smile. "Of course I am, I'm probably not as hungry as I thought I was. But it still looks delicious." She smiled and looked at her sister.  "Did you have enough Luna? Would you like any of my  food?"  Luna shakes her head, her own mind worrying at that question.  "N-no I'm good, you should really have it Sister."  "I will be fine until the morning Luna, I promise to eat seconds for breakfast if it will help ease your worries."  Celestia smiles with that ever glowing smile of hers. Luna returns it meekly but comes close to gently prod Celestia's side with a hoof.  "You better. I want my Sis to be healthy. Especially with how much you work yourself to the bone..." Luna said, giving her eyebrows a furrow. Knowing well that her elder sister seems to bury herself in work. Maybe on purpose. But for what...is still a mystery.  Luna has been frustrated for a long time since her return. Not because of her trying to fit back into Equestrian Society, but because of how her sister has been acting since that time. No matter how hard she tries, Luna could not dreamwalk in her sister's dreams. A magical barrier,  ancient magic woven in many different layers of locks and wards has been keeping her out. Luna wants to make amends to her sister. Protect her against the nightmares that haunt her. Luna could only hear cries of terror and muffled whimpers from Celestia's dream door. The sounds echoing inside the younger alicorn's mind. Celestia stood up from her seat and gently waved her hair from bobbing her head gently to and fro. She turned and began to walk away from the dinner table. Luna got up to follow her but was stopped from seeing Celestia's gaze. A very short, but brief empty pair of magenta eyes looked at her before she closed them in a soft smile again. Celestia adorning her princess mask. "I'm retiring for the evening, sister, I hope your night court goes well."  The elder sister said before continuing through a pair of ornate double doors leading towards the castle's halls. Luna could only watch her leave.  "Alright Sister. Celly?" Celestia stopped before she fully left the frame of the doors. An ear turning towards Luna. "Please...let me know if you need me. For anything. And I mean that. Pleasant dreams sister, I-i hope whatever they are. They bring you rest." Celestia's ear twitched very softly as she heard that. The golden shoes clinked as she began her way through the doors again.  "Don't worry Luna, I will be fine. I always have. Goodnight Sister." Luna watched her sister disappear through the doorway. Her magical tail disappearing around the corner. Luna sighed deeply to herself, knowing full well that wasn't true. Luna gently levitated a fork of her own pasta dish and placed it in her mouth. Luna chewed her food in thought. Hoping to break through those doors tonight in her dream walk. She has to help her sister. No matter what lies behind those doors of her siblings mind.  > II. > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- II. Luna ruffled her feathers as she headed towards her chambers. The night court held that night in the throne room was as argumentative as ever. Many of the night citizens wanting to try and implement Thestrals into Equestrian life, without losing trust of a new species. Lunas captain of the night guard, Midnight Blossom, would sigh and nod her head to each of the citizens' concerns with her princess. Luna kept a stoic face through them all.  All that was on the princesses mind was checking on her sister tonight and to make it through that barrier. Luna blinked as she realized she had made it to her chambers. Two thestrals stood near her doorway and standing tall as  she neared. Luna nodded to them.  "Thank you Nightshade, Jade." The guards nodded at her. "Your highness."  They both said in unison. Luna used her magic on her chamber door handle. "I'm retiring for my dream walking session. But I must ask you two of something." The guards ears would swivel toward her then their yellow slitted eyes as they gazed at her. Awaiting her order. "Do not, under any circumstances, attempt to enter my room. No matter what you hear tonight. I have a serious private matter to attend to in the dream realm. Understood?" The thestral guards clipped their front hooves together in attention.  "As you wish, your highness."  They say in unison once again.  Luna cracked open her door with a magical push of the handle. The princess disappeared inside as the door behind her closed and locked. Luna's eyes would meet her personal bedchambers, softly lit in a glowing seafoam white light from the windows. Blue ethereal candles in candelabras give the room an otherworldly glow to the room. A giant moon encased sleeping bed with long misty veils sat at the edge of the room. The princess walked along a giant rug in the chamber. Her eyes drifted along her personal bookshelves, old ancient tomes she's used to pass many a night and trial.  Luna began to think to herself. "First...let's freshen ourselves up from the evening. Gonna need to be as focused as I can be for this to work." Luna took a soft turn on her hooves towards her personal washroom. She walked in and used her magic to turn on a heated waterfall inside a small pool. Luna stepped in and began to sigh in contentment. The soft warm water released her tight muscles while dealing with the night court citizens.  She floated in the water as she let her wings rest out into the water. Luna let her head slightly submerged as her magic began to lather and clean her body. Luna's thoughts drifted to her sister as she relaxed in her bathing pool. "Sister...I worry. For thee." Luna opened her eyes gently as she let her hooves steady her on the bottom of the pool. She stood up, rung out her mane and tail while drying herself with a heat spell.  Luna quickly began to brush her mane in her magic and tie it off into a loose side braid. The stars twinkled in her mane as she headed back to the bedroom. "Alright, now let's commence the night's duties."  Luna stood in the middle of her bedroom as she closed her eyes. A white snaking line of magic traveled around her horn and off into a web of light. Luna began floating up in her room as her eyes began to softly glow. Her mind's eye  is now forming from darkness into a blue and white fog. A sudden crack of air was heard before a massive line of doors came racing towards the princess. The doors split into two even lines as they pass her. The sounds of ponies laughing, explosions, food eating and the like were heard as some of the doors passed. "Ok...focus. Find Celie's door." Luna said to herself as she concentrated. With the sound of gears and cards being flipped. doors vanished and realigned beside her. With a crank and a slight cock to her head. There it appeared. A modest oak door with an ivory white door handle stood before her. A symbol of the sun etched into the wood on the upper door panel. As Luna stood before the door, she gently pushed a hoof forward. The sounds of chains would lash out from the door and click into locks with a hefty iron clang. Sigils of magic began to appear in ethereal circles going around the door and chains. A warding spell to protect any entrance to the door. "I wonder. My sister must have put this up when I was banished. Maybe she feared that Nightmare would enter her mind and attempt to harm her while she rested." Luna looked somberly down to her platinum shoes. Her sister must have been overwhelmed with everything. So it must be true. Celestia has to be feeling some sort of guilt. Luna's eyes return looking at the door. She closed her eyes as she used her magic to feel through the door's realm. ...Sobbing. Soft cries and whimpers coming from the door's passage. Muffled from it being closed but still heard the same to Luna's keen dream walking form.  "...I have to get in there. I must. For my sister's sake. She's done so much for me. I need to help my big sister before any damage she can inflict on herself. Even though I fear...she might already have." Luna shook her head to steel her resolve. She must be strong for her elder sister. This is the only way to understand why Celestia has been acting so strangely. From the sounds, Luna already has a strong suspicion of what the cause might be.  The night princess closed her eyes, her magic beating in her chest with her heart as she focused on the locks. Like a tight knot of rope pulling and stretching against the chains. Her magic snaking over the locks and cracking into the magical metal. With a sudden hoof slam, The locks crack like glass and fall to the ethereal floor. The metal sparking into orbs and dissipating.  Luna sweated as it took alot of strength to break those locks, but finally. Her sister's door was open. Unlike all the other dreams in the realm, this door was dark. The sobs are now more clear and filling Luna's ears.  Luna flared her wings and dived headlong into the doorway. Her blue tail sinking into the void beyond the door. > III. > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- III. Darkness....surrounded the night princess. Her eyes were completely surrounded by the void. A soft low howling wind could be heard coming from the darkness. Luna tried to conjure her horn to glow, but nothing happened. A shiver ran up her spine as she almost felt a tinge of panic in her head. She fluffed her feathers to return her mind to the forefront.  "Seems like Celestia's dream is affecting my dream form. Hopefully the more I stay the easier it will be to use my magic."  Luna was always thrown aback when she met another dream void. Reminding her of how she was, day in and day out as the Nightmare had her in her grasp. The darkness was more of a prison for her in those days. No one to reach out to her. Only the Nightmare filled her head every time she spoke. Luna reached forward with a hoof to see if anything was in front of her. Her shoes clinked suddenly against something metal.  "Wait...what is."  A sudden soft yellow light would meet her gaze from above. Luna's eyes go skyward and see a lamp. A tall slender black street lamp. A small fire burning inside the glass top.  "A lamp..."  Luna pondered but as she looked back down to the darkness, she could see something. A soft faded glow. Possibly from another light source. The darkness trying its best to obscure it. Luna sets her gaze on the distant lamp. She began to slowly walk forward. Making sure to keep her wings flared for any sudden changes in her sister's dream. A sudden cold tingle would hit her snout. "Snow?" Luna's eyes would see the passing shadows of drifting snow silhouetted by the far away glow. Luna is still stepping toward it. Her hooves now suddenly crunching through a soft powdery layer of snow.  Luna's coat felt a soft wind blowing against her side. The wind whistling through the void.  Luna was trying her best to not call out to her sister. She needs to see what is happening first. To know what this..place was. Hooves running through the snow could be heard from off in the darkness. Two shadows passed near the lamp she was approaching. Luna stopped suddenly as she heard the hooves.  A soft giggling could be heard as the shadows passed. Luna picked up her pace and began to trot through the snow and pass the next lamp. A new lamp glows off to the side. Luna follows the lamps like a trail through the dark. "...Come on Lulu you're so slow!" Wait. Lulu? That voice. It was Celestia! But...something was different. Luna quickly began to gallop through the snow, chasing towards the lamp and seeing the shadows near its base.  The shadows began to take form. One taller than the other. Pink...pink hair would be lit by the soft yellow of the street lamp. It was...no. Celestia as a young filly. The soft pastel green and blue colors of her mane started to show in that pink head of wavy strands. Her tail is the same as well. Her hips bore no sun mark. Just a bare alabaster flank. The other shadow...never took shape. Just a small void outline of a winged and horned pony.  "Must be me..."  Luna commented in her head as she didn't fully expose herself from the dark. Standing outside the rim of the light the lamp gave.  "Your legs are much longer than mine Celie! It's not fair!" The void would say to Celestia.  "Not my fault you were born small~ Might be this big forever my little Lulu~. Seems like I'm always gonna be the bigger sister. But c'mon! Starswirl will start to wonder where we are. " Celestia would kick up a small puff of snow at the void as she turned and galloped away from the lamp and the void of her sister. "H-hey no fair! Celie! W-wait!"  The void would dissipate as it followed her. A sudden whisper would echo from the void behind the lamp.  "...i..i'm so sorry." Luna's ears perked up as she heard the whisper, but it disappeared through the howl of the snowy wind coming from the darkness.  "S-sister?"  Luna heard the hooves from the younger Celestia disappear off in the dark. The night princess voted to head towards the whisper. The dark filled her vision once again. Luna attempted to spark her horn to glow. A soft blue light would crackle as she did. "There we go. A lumination spell is much needed here." Snow would reflect the light given off to Luna's horn as she walked through the darkness. Soft sobs would be heard ahead of her.  Something...was laying in the show ahead of her. A form laying on its side in the snow. "Sister? Is that you?"  She would say to try and see if the form would react. No avail as the sobs continued.  "Please, Sister, answer me. It's me. Luna." As Luna mentioned her name, the sobs suddenly stopped. The howling wind was the only thing heard from around her. The form ahead of her sat up with snow falling off its form. A pair of thin wings and a frozen mane would be seen through the soft blue glow of Luna's horn.  The form sat still in the snow. Luna slowly stepped closer. The mane shows the familiar pastel colors of her sister's mane. Her body...was thin and almost sickly. Ice was hanging off her wings and parts of her legs. She sat facing away from Luna staring off into the darkness. The snow stayed on her as she sat. "Why...why are you here."  Celestia said weakly, Not turning around to meet her sister's gaze. "Celestia. A-are you alright? You look-" "Why must you torment me again? I told you, I'm done speaking to you, Nightmare Moon. Stop using my sister to trick me."  Luna's mouth opened, to finish her question. Her sister's words hit her heart with a tinge of pain. She felt a sudden wave of emotion washing over her like freezing water. Was Celestia using Nightmare as a form in her dream to torment her? The cold snowy void thought was something she's seen before in other ponies dreams.  Luna attempted to get closer, Celestia arched her wings as ice cracked and snow fell off them.  "DO NOT COME CLOSER" She said forcefully, Luna only a hoof length away from her sister.  "P-please Celie, it's really me, your little Lulu. I'm not here to hurt-" Celestia grunted and pushed an ice serrated wing towards Luna's face. The ice shone in Luna's light as it glinted at her, Her own eyes reflected in its surface.  "Leave me alone Demon. My sister would never be here. Only my memories remain. I must atone for what I've done to her. Equestria deserves better." The ice covered, skeletal princess was looking at Luna. her sunken Magenta eye that faced her was peering at her over her shoulder. Once Celestia's eye focused on the glow and could see past it. Her pupil dilated. "W-wha...what. No, this still has to be a trick!"  She said forcibly through a groggy tiredness. A tiredness that Luna could feel washing over her. Celestia turned more to face her sister. Celestia...looked gaunt and thin. Her eyes staring daggers into her smaller sister's eyes. They looked her over, trying to observe what was in front of her. "I don't..understand. Why are you here? Can't I be at peace with my memories?" Luna looked somber at her sister, her form. She's never seen her sister like this before. Like a sick ward patient on their last legs. Luna wanted to come and embrace her sister but she could tell her sister would react harshly to any sudden movement right now. She was on edge.  "Sister...you look so sickly. What's happened to you here?" Celestia's hard glare softened a little. The Nightmare never asked about her body or well being. Her brain is screaming at her to not listen to this shadow of her sister. But,,,maybe. Just maybe it wasn't a shadow this time. "I...um. Whatever you are...sister or not. I just want to be alone. For my own sake. I deserve what I've done." Luna's eyes looked shocked at her sister. Luna had a suspicion, but she's finally stumbled upon what's been happening, for every night since her return.  Celestia has been punishing herself just like she had for her own guilt. Being Nightmare Moon was the most horrifying experience anypony should ever have to experience. Luna being held against her will inside the mind of a dark spirit that held her rage for her sister. The sister who she believed was demeaning her and making her feel invalidated by her subjects, her own flesh and blood as well. "I...wanted to come see you in your dreams. You kept me out with that ward. But I'm here now sister. What sister would I be if I left her to suffer?"  Those words. Those damned words. They rang true inside Celestia as she stared at her sister. Celestia's mind whispered to her. How dare she feel the same way I feel. How could she know? Is she mocking me? Payback for all those years being together? Luna being the brunt of her jokes as an immature young princess. Luna was being sincere as she was reaching for her sister. A hoof gently reaching forward touched those cold frozen feathers on Celestia's wing.  "Please sister, I promise it's me. I'm here to help. Not to Mock or make fun of you in this state. I know how much you're afraid of cracking your mask in public. I've told you before, you don't have to be perfect to me. I love you Celie, my big sister was always my inspiration in times of need. Because I knew you would always be there for me." As Luna began to reach further for her sister, Celestia's Frame began to crack, like glass being fractured. She solemnly closed her eyes and collapsed in a pile of snow and ice. Celestia's form is no longer being seen.  "C-CELESTIA!?"  Luna said in a sharp gasp, reaching forward to catch the ice and snow. The frozen ice just empty shards as it crumbled to the snow. Luna almost panicked but took a second to remember where she was. Celestia is still fine. Celestia's mental state is very sensitive in this realm. Luna just has to find her again. Luna was suddenly blinded by light that came through the darkness, She gasped as she covered her face with her wings. After peering through a gap in her feathers she saw she was in a study. Not just any study, it was her sister's private one.  A soft crackling fire was heard in the fireplace to the side. The light flickering off the books that lined the shelves of the study. Celestia was on the desk, her head hidden behind her mane. Her hooves crossed around her head on the desk inside the study. Soft sobs could be heard from her as she sat at the desk.  Luna stepped softly closer to the desk. Stopping just short of  the desks edge. Celestia's mane flowing from the unseen wind it is normally captivated in. Strands of it curled over the desk edge as she continued to sob between her front legs.  Luna could see a second light source coming from a window inside Celestia's study. The soft veiled curtains open and gently waving in the outside wind. The moon, her moon high in the dark sky. The sigil of Luna's presence on the moon plastered on its surface.  "P-please...come back to me. I'm so sorry Luna...please..I didn't mean for this to happen" Celestia says muffled from between her legs,  The moon would soon disappear to the glowing light of the sun. The celestial bodies move faster and faster outside the window. Time passes by in a flash of a moment. Celestia's form changed slowly and more gaunt as she stayed in that same position. A flash in the past to what Celestia was dealing with while Luna was gone. "Sister...my little sister...I WANT HER BACK!"  Celestia yells as she jumps up and slams her left hoof down into the desk, completely cracking it in half. The desk bending in on itself from her hoof slamming.  Luna shielded herself from any splinters coming her way, but they would pass right through her. Luna being emotionally tied to her sister was making this dream feel all too real.  "Sister! I'm right here! it's ok!"  Luna said in desperation to reach her sister. The elder alicorn panting hard and crying aloud.  "PLEASE, I CAN STILL HEAR YOUR VOICE. COME BACK TO ME LUNA! I'M SORRY!" Luna felt heartbroken hearing her sister's rage and grief right in front of her. The dream also hinting this was how it was for her, every day for when she was gone. Luna bites her lip, she was going to do something drastic. She's never touched anyone in their dreams, because the shock of her mind connecting with another could cause them to wake up, or go into actual shock. Luna closed her eyes, sighed and muttered to herself.  "For my Celie." Luna launches herself into Celestia, clasping her hooves around her neck and her wings wrapping her elder sister into a tight tackle. Luna's body pressed into her sister's chest Celestia and Luna both hitting the ground of the study as it disappeared in a puff of smoke. Luna clenched firm to her sister. "I-i've always forgiven you Sister...You weren't the only one missing her sibling for all those years." Luna said, tearing up in her sister's chest. The panting from Celestia had stopped, The elder Alicorn looking down and seeing her sister against her.  "Luna...Lulu. It is you..it's really you!" Celestia said, returning the hug around her, the giant white wings of Celestia embracing her sister.  "I'm...where am i? Is this...wait. You got past my mental barrier?" Luna looked up to her sister with wet eyes.  "Yes big sis, I was so worried about you. I knew something was going on. You weren't acting yourself and I need to help you!" Celestia could only smile mournfully at her younger sibling. Celestia's eyes were also wet and tired from sobbing.  "I...was not a good sister to you Luna. I always considered you less powerful...less able bodied. I...took you for granted for so long. I thought I had lost you forever. Because of my choice to use the elements on you. I blamed everything on myself. I wanted to trade Equestria...my crown. My duty. To get you back safe and sound. I promised mother and father I would." She sighed in sorrow as she nuzzled against her sister. Luna only hugged her sister and looked into her elder sister's eyes. "And...you never let them down. Or even me. You had a plan to get me back. To save me from my Nightmare that controlled me. And here I am Saving you."  Luna teased giving her sister a gentle poke with her hoof.  Celestia could only stifle a soft giggle. Nuzzling against her sister's cheek.  "My little sister, saving the one that's supposed to protect her. Ironic isn't it?"  She said, smirking. "It is...but i wouldn't trade my big sister for anything in the world either." The sisters quietly embraced each other. The dream becomes more softly lit by the moon. Flowers growing around the alicorn siblings as they stayed in each other's embrace. Celestia's form felt like it was getting less corporeal.  "Yuah..."  Luna yawned as she ruffled her feathers. Her body felt the energy she had completely spent.  "I have to go see her. No matter how tired I feel." The night princess stretched as she opened the doors of her chambers and headed out into the hall of canterlot castle. > IV. > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- IV. Luna yawned again as she trotted down the hallway towards the second tower of Canterlot castle. The tallest tower is home to celestia's quarters. The Younger sibling rising the steps towards the bed chamber. Her muscles ached and screamed at her to stop moving so much. But she needed to see this through. The night princess would rise the final step and see the two solar guards standing attentively beside a large oaken door. The guards see the princess and click their hooves together in attention. "Good morning guards, has my sister left her chambers yet?"  The guard on the left side, Golden Light, would answer Luna. "No, your highness, she’s still inside." Luna nods and stifles another yawn as she flexes her wings. Luna approaches the door. "Thank you, Golden. I'm gonna head inside. Greet her for the dawn." The guards nodding in sync and returning to their natural stances beside the door. Luna ever so gently prodded the door with her magic. The door opened to reveal the dark room of the solar princess. The room gives a soft chill in the air. Luna stepped in as she kept her eyes towards the Veiled bed at the other end of the room. Luna wasn't sure if her embracing her sister had woken her from her sleep. But Luna didn't want to chance it.  The blue alicorn's hooves would gently glide across the carpet of the bedroom. Passing over the rug at the entrance, the soft lounging cushion near the giant fireplace and then the foot of the wooden framed bed.  Luna closed her eyes and flicked her ears around towards the bed, Listening for anything. She would hear soft breaths through the veil. The moon from outside was still shining through the glass doors towards Celestia's balcony. Giving a silhouette of the alicorn sleeping behind the beds curtains as Luna opened her eyes again. Luna's silver slipper would gently slide the curtain aside to look inside the beds center. The older sister was curled up under a thick blanket, facing away from Luna, her mane spiraled out all over her pillows and the sheets in a colorful waterfall. The soft rise and fall of her shoulders would give the impression she was still slumbering.  Luna wanted to climb into her sister’s bed and press herself against her. The emotional relief of seeing her sister finally resting, truly letting the weight that was lifted from her during the night was magnetizing.  The younger alicorn hesitated as her hoof gently touched the bed and thought better of it. She smiled to herself and gently backed away from the veil. Luna wanted to let her sister keep sleeping, if anything. She could raise the sun for her if need be. Luna ever so quietly began to float through her sisters chambers on her hooves. But just before she crossed the midway point of the room.  "...Lulu." Luna halted in mid trot. Her heart almost skipped a beat as she heard the voice coming from behind her. Luna gently craned her head to look behind her. The silhouette of her sister has not changed.  "Come back. I heard you come in." Luna would quickly hoof, turn and return to the veiled bed, pushing her face back into the curtain. Luna would see her sister now rolled on her other side, her magenta eyes softly lit from the surrounding light staring right at her. The elder alicorn had a soft smile on her lips and her eyes gently curving from her cheeks.  "S-sorry if i woke you sister. I wanted to-" Celestia would gently grasp her sister in her golden magic and gently pull her into bed. The blue alicorn curled her legs so her sister wouldn't struggle to put her in bed beside her. Luna couldn't contain it anymore and pressed herself into her sister’s chest. The fluffy fur filled her vision. "I'm so happy to see you sister." The younger sibling burying herself into her older sister. Feeling the warmth of her body and feathers surrounding her. "...Thank you, Luna. So so much" Celestia would be doing her best to not start shedding tears over her sister’s mane. The Alicorn kept her muzzle pressed into her sister’s star-filled mane.  Luna would peer up at her sister as their hooves wrapped around each other.  "Just paying back for all those years of protection my sister~" Luna coyly smiles up at Celestia. The room was not feeling so cold as the sisters' warmth was being shared together in the ornate bed.  Celestia would only softly hum in love to her little sister. "You didn't owe me anything Lulu. It was my duty to protect you and love you. Even now.." Celestia’s wings would flex around Luna's shoulders.  "...I plan to do that until the end of time. I did promise after all~"  The elder alicorn gave a soft chuckle from her chest.  "I guess we are both blessed to be together again. You have your student to thank for that I'm sure. Twilight brought me back with your plan." Luna smiled and eagerly gave her sister a nuzzle in the crook of her neck.  "You sure know how to pick them Tia~"  The sisters craned their necks to touch their muzzles together. Both siblings breathed a deep sigh as they enjoyed the presence of one another. The banishment is now a distant memory leaving their minds. Only a small bump in the road now that both sister's guilt was confronted.  "We...owe her everything for this Luna. She brought you back to me. And she helped you realize your own guilt was also hurting you."  Luna smiled somberly as she remembered the night the tantabus left her dreams. A secret that was meant to be secret forever. But now, the demon she made now a part of her as much as she liked to admit. Her shadow was still her and an important part she needed to nurse back to health. "She did. Our little Twilight. I hope she will be alright without us. I hate to leave such a weight of a nation on her so soon." Celestia smiled. "She has her friends, just like we had each other during our time. Everything will be just fine i think. She's a strong little mare." Luna scoffs "She's not so little any more sister~" The sisters share a love filled laugh together, reminiscing about how after all these years. Everything turned out alright in the end. Thanks to a little sheltered lavender mare who brought the celestial sisters together again. Celestia would suddenly gasp. "L-luna? wait...what time is it? Luna would smirk "Waaaay passed your rising time~"  Celestia would sit up and snort from her muzzle. "T-the sun! i have to-" Luna would grasp her sister "Calm Tia~ We can use our magic from bed. Our bond to our respective celestial bodies doesn't have to be seen to move them." The midnight blue alicorn comforting her elder sister in her wings, to keep her from freaking out about being off schedule.  "I...You're right Luna. Sorry, you know how I am about my schedule." Celestia showing a soft pink hue on her cheeks. Luna smirking "Oh we know~ Gotta to be pretty and punctual all year round~ But when it’s after an important night, I'd expect you to take a little time for yourself. ~" The sisters smiled and embraced each other again. Their horns lighting up as the moon light would slowly soften and change to an orange golden glow. The morning sun rises to replace the light entering the bedroom.  "I suppose we could have a quick sisterly nap together. Like the old days~"  Celestia smiled as she pressed her sister against her chest again.
