Discord, after his attempt to protect the unity crystals, gets sent to another universe by accident.
After Twilight recorded a message in The Unity Crystals, Opaline tried to take them and their power. In an attempt to save the crystals, Discord swipes them and flies away. As he tries to run away Opaline is able to catch up with him and tries to take the crystals. In the process, Discord falls through a mysterious portal and wakes up in a different human realm.
The story starts in canterlot castle’s throne room; we see Twilight, Celestia, Luna and Discord surrounding The Unity Crystals.
“-I’m with you…” Twilight just got done recording a message for The Unity Crystals. “There. Now whoever has The Unity Crystals in the future will know about Opaline and the growing magic. Now we must separate and hide them before Opa-” She didn’t get a chance to finish her sentence cause the door flew open and in came Opaline Arcana, The fire Alicorn.
“Well... well… well… If it isn’t Twilight Sparkle and my old fillyhood “friends”, Celestia and Luna.” Opaline spots Discord, who is just standing there awkwardly. “And who are you?” Opaline asks. Discord dramatically gasps in disgust
“I’m Discord, The lord of Chaos! What? Have you been living under a rock or something?” Discord then snaps his fingers making a giant bolder appear over Opaline’s head. It lands on her, crushing her.
“Huh… That was easy-” Luna starts to say before Opaline bursts the bolder into a million pieces with her magic.
Opaline laughs and says “You really think it’d be THAT easy!?”.
They all look at each other, Discord breaks the silence by saying: “To be honest… Yes.”
Opaline growls and charges up her magic “I am NOT to be UNDERESTIMATED!” She screamed. Blasting a beam of magic at Discord, who snaps his fingers turning the beam of magic into ice cream.
“Oh please” he chuckles “You’ll need to try harder than that!”
Opaline is about to charge at Discord but notices Twilight holding the crystals. Discord notices that she’s spotted the crystals and swipes them out of Twilight hooves, puts them in his bag, and flies out the window.
“I’ll keep the crystals safe! You take care of Opaline!” He shouts as he flies away. Opaline, filled with rage, tries to go after Discord but Twilight stops her.
“I won’t let you have Equestria’s magic, Opaline!” Twilight yelled.
“Neither will we!” Celestia and Luna chime in.
As Discord is flying away with the crystals, an army of dragons start to chase him. Meanwhile: Celestia, Luna, and Twilight are fighting Opaline in the throne room.
“I will obtain the power from the crystals! AND YOU CAN’T STOP ME!” Opaline screams as she blasts Celestia in the chest with magic. “CELESTIA!!” Both Luna and Twilight exclaim.
Opaline laughs “This is what you get for never looking my way! For never realizing how powerful I am!”
Luna holds Celestia in her arms, Celestia scoffs “What are you talking about?” Opaline tries to blast Celestia while she’s down but Twilight steps in, blocking her magic beam with her own. Twilight’s beam gets shorter and shorter as Opaline’s beam gets closer to destroying Twilight's horn.
“TWILIGHT!” Celestia & Luna screams.
Opaline laughs “Ha! You thought that could defeat me?!”
“No… I was just stalling for time. Discord has probably already made it outside of Canterlot by now. I will ensure you don’t get your hooves on the crystals AND SO WILL HE!” Twilight exclaimed.
Opaline grinds her teeth in anger. How could she have let that stupid draconequus escape with the crystals “DRAGONS, FIND THAT STUPID DRACONEQUUS AND BRING HIM TO ME NOW!”
All of Opaline’s dragon army starts searching for Discord. Meanwhile: Discord is still being chased by a group of dragons despite having left Canterlot. Suddenly he notices the group of dragons getting bigger, he starts to panic as it seems the whole army is now after him.
Discord snaps his fingers summoning a large swarm of bees to see if that’ll distract them. It only leaves some of them caught trying to fight off the swarm but most of them are still following him
“I guess bees weren’t strong enough.” suddenly a lightbulb lights up over Discord’s head (literally).
He snaps his fingers once again and a large butterfly net appears, he turns around and scoops up the dragons in the net.
“Taakee… THIS!” he then swings the net and throws them back to Canterlot.
Discord flies away but as he’s flying he hears something coming closer to him, specifically a voice, screaming in anger. He turns around to see Opaline charging right towards him.
Opaline bucks Discord into the side of a mountain, revealing a secret cave, he loses grip of his bag. The crystals fall out of his bag and onto the floor of the cave. Discord crashes into the cave and lands under an archway, that looks like it could’ve been a portal of some sort.
“Finally… The Unity Crystals, and the Prisbeam power… Is MIN-” Suddenly, Opaline gets cut off as Twilight, Luna and Celestia have finally caught up to her.
“This stops now, Opaline!” Celestia yells as she charges forward to try and keep the crystals away from Opaline.
The three princesses and the evil queen are fighting over the crystals, as Discord gets up, he looks up to see 4 squares aligned to make one diamond. The squares start to glow a green color, and Discord tries to get away from the mysteriously glowing archway. Suddenly a portal opens, and everypony notices. Discord is trying to get away from the portal but it starts to suck him in.
“DISCORD!” Twilight yells. “Don’t worry! I’ve got you!” She runs to Discord and grabs his paw, trying her best to keep her grip on him strong.
“Twilight, don’t worry about me! The fate of Equestria is way more important!” he yells, shifting his eyes to The Unity Crystals.
“But-” Twilight starts to speak but suddenly “DISCORD! NO!” Twilight yells as Discord gets sucked through this portal.
Suddenly… everything is… quiet. Too quiet. Discord wakes up to find himself resting on a bed, with his head wrapped in bandages.
“What… in Celestia’s name is…” he starts to question why he’s here but starts to look around the room.
He then looks down at his body and realizes: “I’m not a draconequus anymore?!”
He snaps his fingers to try and change back. Nothing happens.
"Huh? That's odd." He snaps his fingers again... and nothing happens.
Discord starts to panic a little, but suddenly, a girl with long light pink hair walks in.
Picking up from where we left off: A girl with long light pink hair walks into the room, she’s carrying a first aid kit. “Fluttershy…?” Discord whispers under his breath.
“Hello, Sir. I’m Fiona Smith, I’m gonna help you get better! How are you feeling right now?” Discord was too stunned to speak. He sat there awkwardly looking around
“Sir? Can you not speak? Are you alright?” Fiona asks, looking very confused.
“Er… Where am I exactly?” Discord asks as he scratches his head.
“Oh! Uhm… you're in one of the Harmony bunkers. Specifically in our sick bay.” She pauses “But- I would like you to answer some questions for me, is that okay?” She sits on the side of the bed to get a better look at him. “What’s the last thing you remember?” She asks.
“I…” It takes a minute for him to remember everything “I remember… I was trying to help get The Unity Crystals away from Opaline-” Discord gets cut off
“OPALINE?!” Fiona shouts, making Discord freeze. “Woops! I’m so sorry, please continue.” Discord sits there frozen for two more seconds.
“Suddenly, I was sucked into a portal and I woke up here.” He scratches his head again “This is so odd, and usually I like things when they’re odd but, not this…” He groans, sitting up.
“Oh, sir, please don’t scratch your head too much, I don’t want you causing any more damage to your head.” She grabs his hand and gently places it on the bed.
“Wha- Damage?” Discord asks.
“Oh! We found you on the outskirts of Canterlot city, you seemed to have fallen from somewhere. You had a small gash on the top of your head.”
After she says that, Discord sits there confused, trying to make sense of the situation.
“Oh! I’m in another dimension! That makes way more sense. That also could explain why my powers are gone… Hmmm..”
He sits there thinking to himself, not realizing everything he said was out loud. It left Fiona very confused.
“Other dimension?! Sir, who are you? Where are you from exactly?” After she asks that, Discord gets all excited and jumps off the bed, and proudly stands in front of her.
“I am Discord! The Lord of Chaos!” He puffs out his chest proudly “I’m from my own chaos dimension but I frequent Equestria” He then flips his long white hair like a diva.
Fiona sits there with a concerned look on her face. “Maybe he does have brain damage…” she says quietly but Discord could still hear her.
Discord pouts. “EXCUSE YOU! I don’t have brain damage, I’m a perfectly healthy draconequus.”
Suddenly Discord remembers he’s no longer a draconequus as he looks down at his body and then looks back up at Fiona
“Uhh… I mean… erm…” as he stumbles on his words, his face starts to turn a little red. Discord notices Fiona writing something in a notebook, she then stands up and puts her hand on Discord's shoulder
“You- uh… Lay back down. Take it easy” She starts to run away “I’ll be back!” she says as she leaves the room.
Discord stands there stunned and confused. He sits back down on the bed, fidgeting with his fingers waiting for her to come back.
He realized he’s wearing an outfit that isn’t exactly his taste. He’s wearing a blue T-Shirt, with a brown cropped jacket. Along with mismatched colored pants and boots.
“What the-” he starts to say until he looks up to see Fiona came back but brought a girl with short blue hair that has purple and pink highlights.
She pulls out a wand and what seems to be a spell book, she starts flipping through the pages. Discord tries to take a peek at the book but the girl notices and shifts her body so now he’s just staring at her back. He crosses his arms and pouts until she turns back around and starts waving her wand towards his head.
Discord sits there, looking extremely confused. She then moves her wand away from his head
“Hmmm…” the blue-haired girl then turns to Fiona and whispers to her.
Discord tries to lean in closer to hear.
“It’s gonna take a while for me to be able to see the memories.” She whispers.
“Oh! It’s like taking a photograph. I see… You have to wait for the photo to develop” Fiona whispers back to her.
Discord is tapping his foot in annoyance, he then starts to speak
“Can somepony PLEASE tell me what’s going on here?” The girls both look at him confused.
“Somepony?” Fiona questions.
He looks a little embarrassed.
“Uhhh… I’m guessing that's a custom from where you're from?” She asks, looking at Discord with an awkward smile.
“Yeah, it is.” Discord says in a very frustrated, yet soft tone of voice.
Fiona whispers something to the other girl, the girl then rolls her eyes and starts to speak “I’m Tessa Spark, I apologize for not introducing myself when I first came in.”
Discord’s eyes widen.
“Like Twilight!” He says with a smile.
The girls look at him with confusion. Discord stands up and starts looking at Tessa and starts seeing the resemblance.
“Yes! Of course you’d be Twilight! How did I not realize this sooner!” Discord is completely lost in the fact that this is Twilights other worldly counterpart.
“You look like Twilight, you sound like Twilight, and-“ Discord gets cut off
Tessa points the wand in his face with an annoyed expression. Discord backs away, falling back onto the bed.
“What- WHAT ARE YOU TALKING ABOUT!?” She yells, clearly upset.
Discord sits there in shock, keeping his hands closed to his chest. Tessa calms herself, waving her wand again. She’s able to see Discord’s memories. Looking at Fiona’s notes and back at the memories. Discord can’t help but feel like this is a breach of privacy.
“Ya know, if you wanted to look inside my head you could’ve just asked.” He says playfully but clearly uncomfortable.
He snaps his fingers but, of course, nothing happens. He looks at his hand, annoyed. He keeps forgetting he has no power here. He looks up to see the spell displaying an embarrassing memory, he proceeds to wave his hand through the memory and it turns into mist.
“Whoops! My hand slipped!” He says while smiling nervously.
Tessa rolls her eyes “Well at least we know he isn’t lying.” She turns to him
Fiona taps Tessa on the shoulder and whispers to her “Don’t you think that a ‘lord of chaos’ could be useful to our team?”
Tessa whispers back “Not when he’s powerless.” They both look back at him. Fiona whispers to Tessa again
“But maybe he could have information on how to defeat Opaline.” She then looks at Discord and gave him a genuine smile.
Discord feels a shiver go down his spine seeing her smile at him so genuinely. He hadn’t seen fluttershy for a while, so it was nice to see even another version of her, show him the same kindness that his fluttershy does. Even if it is just something simple as a smile. He awkwardly smiles back.
“What information could he provide us with?” Tessa asks.
Fiona looks at Tessa than back at Discord. She thinks to herself for a minute, then she sits next to discord.
“So, Discord. Could you tell us a bit about your Opaline, as in, the Opaline from your world?” She asks, smiling at him.
“Well…” Discord pauses thinking to himself “I personally don’t know much about her, you’d have to ask Celestia or Luna if you want anything more personal.” Discord pauses again but then he smirks saying:
“But in my humble opinion, she’s a pathetic waste of space Alicorn who uses her power for completely ridiculous reasons. ‘I’m nOt tO Be UnDereStImAted!’ I feel like I’ve heard that every time we’ve had an encounter. Somepony has problems” He says as he playfully nudges Fiona with his elbow.
Discord has no shame in making fun of Opaline. Especially considering she’s the reason he’s been separated from Fluttershy. Fiona kinda looks at him awkwardly and then looks at Tessa, maybe she’ll have something to say about that?
“‘I’m not to be underestimated’? I wonder why she’d say that?” Tessa ponders.
“Look, I don’t know and I personally don’t care. She has some tie to Celestia and Luna or something. Being ‘fillyhood friends’” Discord groans and then stands up “Look, I have to get back to Equestria or Opaline is gonna take over and I would like to see my friends again. Especially Fluttershy!” Discord snaps his fingers.
“UGH! Right… I keep forgetting… no magic” Discord’s eyes widen “wait… no magic means…”
Discord starts to panic “No magic means I can’t get home! What am I supposed to do?!”
He starts hyperventilating. Fiona tries to get him to calm down, she puts her hand on his shoulder, reassuring him.
“Discord, Sir, It’s okay… Everything will be okay… we can help you find a way home, I promise!”
Tessa then looks at Fiona surprised. She gently grabs her and pulls her aside. She whispers to her: “Fiona, we don’t know this guy-” She starts to say before Fiona interrupts
“Tessa, we just saw his memories not long ago! We know he’s not lying and he doesn’t know how to get home… The poor thing… Pleaaasee??” Fiona gives Tessa puppy eyes
Tessa sighs, simply nodding her head ‘yes’ to Fiona. Fiona smiles and gives Tessa a big hug. She happily walks back to Discord.
“Hey! How would you like to stay with us for the time being?” Fiona says with a big smile
Discord smiles awkwardly, he’s happy they want to help but he doesn’t want to grow attached, also with the fact that he needs to get back and help protect The Unity Crystals. But… at the same time… He doesn’t exactly have anywhere to go. Maybe staying with them is the best thing to do right now. He sighs
“That’d be… nice. Thank you, Fl-” He almost says Fluttershy, he stops himself “Fiona…” He smiles
Fiona takes Discord by the hand leading him out of the sick bay, he jumps a little, surprised she grabbed his hand. He looks around, the middle of the room has a giant glowing pillar. Looking around the rest of the bunker and sees multiple doors, specifically 5 on each side of the large room. Fiona leads him to a specific door, it has the names: Tessa Spark, Fiona Smith, Raine Dashing, Alexis Jackson, Regina Gem and, Penelope Pie written on a sign on the door.
She opens the door revealing a hallway, she leads him down the hallway and the first batch of doors all have names on them. Names of the people listed on the front door.
“Could those be their bedrooms?” He thinks to himself.
They stop at a doorway labeled: Library. As Fiona opens the door, Discord peeks in and sees a large library. Along with other girls, one with bright pink curly hair, a girl with deep purple hair, a blonde girl with braids and a brown hat, and a girl with rainbow hair. All the girls turn to see who walked into the room.
“Hey! Look! It’s the injured guy! HELLO!” The pink girl yelled, she’s seems very hyper… kinda like…
“Pinkie?” Discord says
He immediately covers his mouth, realizing how stupid he probably sounds to everyone in the room, especially with the lack of context.
The pink girl looks at him confused but brushes it off. “HI! I’m Penelope! Penelope Pie!” She then holds out her hand to shake his.
Discord hesitantly goes to shake her hand. She shakes his hand rather violently, only because she’s excited. But it leaves Discord in a daze. If he still had his chaos magic there’d be birds flying around his head, he’s so dizzy.
“Penelope be gentle with him! He has a head injury remember?!” Fiona yells, walking discord towards a chair to sit him down so he can recover.
“Whoopsies!” She happily says. “Sorry about that, Mr….?” She’s asking for his name.
Discord snaps out of his daze and looks at her “My name is…” he tries to say but he still needs a minute.
“There ya go, Penelope! You made it worse!” The girl with rainbow hair yelled.
“I SAID SORRY :( “ Penelope starts to frown.
“Ugh…” Discord recovers from his daze and stands up.
“I’m Discord, The Lord of Chaos.” He says dramatically
The girls all look at him and burst into laughter, except for Fiona and Tessa.
“Hah! You sure this guy doesn’t have brain damage or something?” The rainbow haired girl laughs.
“Raine! Be nice! And-” Fiona gets cut off, Tessa chimes in
“He’s serious, girls and… he isn’t lying either. I’ve checked his memories.” She said with a serious face.
The girls stop laughing and the room falls silent. They look at Tessa then look back at Discord, stunned.
“Which I felt was a breach of privacy, I mean… you could’ve just asked to look inside my head. I would’ve allowed it.” He says crossing his arms
The girls all look like they saw a ghost, the rainbow hair girl runs up to him.
“YOU’RE FUCKING GOD?!?!” The rainbow hair girls screams in Discord’s face
Discord sits the frozen. His eyes are wide and he’s leaning back cause she’s in his face. “Yeesss…” He says hesitantly but then, all of the sudden, he gets really confident. A smug smile appears on his face
“Why, yes, I am a God. Thank you for noticing.” He says
Tessa rolls her eyes, and says “Yeah, but you’re powerless at the moment.”
Discord turns his head to look at Tessa “Do you mind?” Discord says, looking at her annoyed.
Tessa rolls her eyes. The rainbow-haired girls excitement turns to disappointment, she sighs, crossing her arms. The blonde girl walks up to Discord
“Powerless? What do you mean powerless, sugarcube?” She questions.
“After I woke up from my unconsciousness, i tried using my magic, to find out it’s gone.” Discord shrugs
“That sounds awful, I’m sorry sugarcube… OH! I never introduced myself.” She goes to shake discords hand “I’m Alexis Jackson, it’s nice meetin’ you” she says with a smile.
Discord shakes her hand. He notices her resemblance to Applejack with her speech and appearance. He doesn’t say anything though, he’d rather not look stupid. Suddenly the purple-haired girls walks up to him as well
“Hello, Darling. I’m Regina Gem” she shakes his hand, noticing his clothes.
“Oh what a- uhm flattering.. ahem outfit…” she says hesitantly.
Fiona is about to tell Regina that was rude but Discord chimes in before she can even say anything
“Don’t worry, I wouldn't have chosen this outfit either. I don’t exactly know where it came from.” He says with confusion.
“Guess I should introduce myself too” the rainbow-haired girl said, putting her hands behind her head “Sup, I’m Raine Dashing. But I like to be called Dash. It just sounds cooler!” She says proudly
Discord looks around the room at all the girls. Seeing the resemblance of all his friends in them, his face starts to look sad. He’s been separated from his friends for so long. Well… except for Twilight, he’s stayed by her side since Opaline started attacking Equestria. He shakes his head, what luck, he ends up with other worldly counterparts of his friends.
Fiona gets all the girls attention: "Everyone, Discord is gonna be staying with us for awhile. Also, we're going to help him find a way home, since he's powerless"
"Yeah I think we got that last part, Fiona." Raine says, annoyed. "No offense, dude. But being a God with no power, doesn't exactly make you a God anymore, does it? Like- ISN'T THAT THE WHOLE POINT? For the cooolll powers..."
Discord looks annoyed, he's been constantly reminded about the fact that he's now powerless and can't take it anymore. Fiona notices Discord's sour expression and taps him on the shoulder:
"Are you okay?" She asks in a soft tone of voice.
Discord's expression softens. She sounds just like Fluttershy... He turns to her, but unsure of what to say. If anything, he feels overwhelmed.
"I'd like to be alone..." he says softly He looks down, he's mind is swarming with so many different thoughts. It's overstimulating.
"Oh... Okay..." Fiona gently grabs his arm and leads him to a guest room. It's the last door in the hallway right before the ilbrary. No name on the door. "If you need anything, just.. uhm... come and get me." She starts to leave but before she does, she turns back around looks at Discord, who had just sat down on the bed. "Are you okay, Sir?"
Discord cringes, hearing her call him 'Sir' again. It makes him feel normal... he doesn't like that. As he slowly lays down on the bed, he opens his mouth to speak but nothing comes out. So he just sits there instead. Fiona leaves the room and shuts the door behind her.
All these thoughts are swarming in his head, Twilight's horn was broken when she tried to save him from getting sucked into the portal.... What could've happened? Is she gonna be okay? Is Equestria going to be okay? What about Celestia and Luna... and... Fluttershy... And the others of course. But he can't get his mind off of Fluttershy. He just hopes that he's able to get back home soon and defeat Opaline... Suddenly his eyes start to feel heavy, they slowly close shut. Discord falls asleep
Discord is sound asleep, he's exhausted from everything that's happened. The fight with Opaline, getting sucked into another dimension, meeting alternate versions of his friends, and even though he hadn't mentioned it, His injury has been causing him some stress. All of a sudden Discord wakes up to-
"MR. DISCORD!!!!!" Penelope busts the door open screaming for him. "WAKE UP!!"
Discord jumps out of his bed and lands face-first onto the floor, getting up from the floor, he feels dizzy. The world is spinning from his point of view.
"Finally some good old-fashioned chaos" He shakes his head, and he realizes the world isn't actually spinning "Oh poo..."
He rubs the sleepy out of his eyes, Penelope runs up to him, really close to his face.
"Grab a pillow and a blanket, Mr. Discord! We're havin' a slumber party in the Library!" She yells with a big smile across her face.
Discord froze. It hits him: "A Slumber party?" he questions. Why are they having a Slumber Party?
"Yeah! Whenever we have nothing to do, we like having Slumber Parties in the Library! It's a good way for us to spend some quality time together!" She said in a warm tone. "Annnnd- Since we don't know much about you yet, we thought it'd be a fun and good idea to have a Slumber Party wiithhhhh YOU!" She boops him on the nose.
The idea of a slumber party, especially with Pinkie sounds like fun, but this is another version of Pinkie Pie, this could be completely different than anything that Pinkie from Equestria would do... then again... It could be fun and especially refreshing, considering everything that's happened with Opaline. Having a party with an otherworldly Pinkie Pie almost sounds a bit chaotic. If this Pinkie is anything like Pinkie from Equestria then Discord knows there's probably gonna be pranks involved. Especially since Rainbow is gonna be there too. A big smile spreads across his face.
"Of course, Pink- I mean... Penelope, I'd love to have a slumber party with you and the others. As long as I get to cause some chaos that is?" He asks with a smirk.
Penelope gets an evil grin on her face "If by that you mean pranks then, I give you my permission, sir."
Discord smiles big, happy stimming, and then grabs the pillow and blanket from his bed excitedly. They both happily walk to the library, Discord peaks in to see Fiona who just laid out her sleeping bag on the floor. Fiona looks over to the doorway and sees Penelope with Discord by her side
"Oh, yay! You came!" Fiona says happily.
It feels almost like Discord got shot in the heart, seeing Fiona be so happy to see him, it made him really happy. Discord shakes it off, trying to remind himself not to get attached. He has HIS Fluttershy to get back to.
Discord lays his pillow and blanket a space away from Fiona. Tessa comes into the library putting her sleeping bag between Fiona and Discord. All the others have already placed their sleeping bags, they all laid them out in a circle. Penelope plops down onto her sleeping bag. Everyone is talking amongst themselves, some even shifting their eyes towards Discord. Suddenly it's silent and there's this sort of awkward tension in the air.
Alexis decides to break the silence "So uh, What's your world like?"
Discord looks at Alexis and then looks around at everyone else. "Well... Equestria, just to be more specific, is all cupcakes and, rainbows and, 'harmony', blah blah blah. Every creature there lives in harmony-"
It seems Discord got Fiona's attention "Creatures? Like what kinds? I mean... me and Tessa saw a little bit because of your memories but..." She looks into Discord's eyes with curiosity.
"There's dragons, who live in the dragonland. There's also kirin, changlings, hippogriffs, griffins, sea ponies, and of course Draconequui, like me" He gestures to himself proudly.
"Oh yeah! You looked like you were made up of all sorts of different animals! Could you tell me which ones? What's it like to be a draconequus?-" Fiona asks, then Tessa chimes in.
"Does being a draconequus mean that you just automatically have chaos magic?"
Penelope also chimes in "Does having chaos magic mean you can just make ANYTHING? OH! LIKE, CHOCOLATE RAIN??"
Discord is getting a little overwhelmed, but he does want to answer their questions. "Well, Fl- I mean... Fiona, I had a pony head, deer antler, goat horn, I had the arm of a lion, an eagle claw, leg of a lizard, leg of a goat, a dragons tail, a bat wing, and a pegasus wing." He pauses to take a breath, gasping for air.
"I'd say it's rather enjoyable being a draconequus." He says. "Certainly better then this... whatever I am?" he whispers
"And yes, being a draconequus does mean you will have chaos magic, considering a draconequus are beings of chaos, again, such as myself" He agains gestures towards himself. "Also yes, chocolate rain is a thing I do very often." He laughs.
Penelope jumps in excitement "OMG CHOCOLATE RAIN IS REAL!!! YESSS!!!"
The girls all laugh at Penelope's excitement, Discord kinda joins in, giggling to himself. He's missed this. He starts reminiscing about good times with his friends back in Equestria in his head. A genuine smile spreads across his face.
The laughter dies down and Fiona notices Discord, he looks so happy. Fiona smiles at him, glad to see he's doing better.
"Discord, I do have another question if that's alright" She asks.
"Ask away, my friend." Discord says with a big smile.
"What are your friends like, I mean, you did mention someone named Twilight earlier. Who's she?" Fiona asks, tilting her head.
Discord freezes for a moment. He then thinks for a moment and smiles "Twilight is just one of the many friends from Equestria, but I will say, as cheesy as it is, she's made a big impact on my life. I mean we've had some rough spots in our friendship from time to time but, who hasn't?" He chuckles "But... Fluttershy... she's the one who's made the BIGGEST and I'd say the best impact on my life." Discord looks down, and he starts to think more and more about Fluttershy "She's the sweetest pony I'd ever met. She gave me a chance when no other pony would." He says as he looks up at Fiona with a somber expression.
Fiona sees Discord's expression and realizes- "Oh." she says quietly. She tucks a bit of her hair behind her ear, she has an awkward expression on her face. "You... uhm... I remember you said her name when I first walked into the room, back in the sick bay."
Discord blushes a little. "Woops, that's embarrassing... You heard that?" his voices has gotten a little soft, he seems genuinely embarrassed.
"Sorry for mentioning it-" Fiona says softly
"No!" Discord realizes how loud that was and quickly covers his mouth. "I mean... It's fine. I only said it because you just reminded me of her. You seem very kind, and caring, you both have the same long pink hair, and I assume you also have a love of animals considering your pajamas." He gestures to Fiona's pajama pants which have sloths all over them
"I do! How'd you- Oh wait.." She giggles "We sound like we could almost be the same person" She says half jokingly
"I think you just might be." He says, he catches Fiona off guard. It would make sense though
"In fact, Tessa would most definitely be Twilight, which I've obviously mentioned before. Raine is Rainbow Dash, Alexis is AppleJack, Regina is Rarity, and Penelope just MUST be Pinkie Pie!" He says with excitement in his voice.
"That's why you called me Pinkie earlier!" Penelope yells.
"Whhhaat?? Rainbow Dash is a WAYYYY cooler name! CALL ME THAT!" Raine says excitedly
"If Twilight is anything like me, considering you were comparing me to her earlier. I'd assume she has a love of books, magic and knowledge, am I correct?" Tessa questions.
"Ding Ding Ding! You are correct!" He says while pretending to hold a microphone
They all giggle to each other at Discords joke. Discord chuckles to himself, it's been a while since he's had this much fun, and he's definitely enjoying it. Tessa pauses for a moment and then gets up to find a book on one of the shelves.
While Tessa is finding a book, Regina pulls out a box of nail polish from behind her.
"Discord, darling, how do you feel about painting your nails? I have tons of different colors you might like" She says while picking up bottles of nail polish from the box.
"Oooh! I love painting my nails! I did it quite often back in Equestria with Fluttershy and Rarity." He said, happily. "well... for me, nails, for them, hooves." He chuckles
Penelope jumps up "Oh! Oh! How do you feel about stickers and hair charms? I HAVE A BUNCH!"
"Absolutely!" Discord smiles big
Penelope scooches over to Discord and starts putting charms in his hair, along with stickers on his jacket and shirt. Tessa was able to find the book she was looking for and sits next to Discord. She holds up the book
"I thought I'd ask you about this book, it talks about chaos magic-" Tessa mentions but Discord quickly recognizes the symbol on the cover.
"That's the symbol that I saw on the archway of the portal!" Discord snatches the book from Tessa
The book cover had 4 squares on the cover, aligned to shape a diamond. Instead of all the diamonds being green like on the archway, it has one green square on the top, a blue square on the left, a red square on the bottom, and a yellow square on the right. Discord seems a little confused, but he opens the book and starts flipping through it.
"Not only does the book mention chaos magic but it also talks about other dimensions. When I heard about what you said, I almost couldn't believe it. So, of course, I checked your memories and sure enough, you were from another dimension." Tessa than sits there for a moment.
"Oh! The book also talks about these crystals! Apparently, they can only be activated using chaos magic. I wonder why...?" She ponders to herself
While Discord is looking through the book, everything Tessa has said is being confirmed the more he looks through this, crystals, chaos magic, and other dimensions. It's all there. He sits there in shock for a little while.
Tessa looks at him with a concerned expression, she worries that she may have done the wrong thing showing him this. Discord closes the book and thinks for a moment. Regina looks at Discord and then looks at Discord, there's now nothing but silence in the room. Meanwhile, Penelope is still happily putting stickers on Discord. She hasn't noticed the vibe of the room has changed.
Fiona puts her hand on Discord shoulder.
"You said that you saw the symbol before, do you know what it means? What it's for? If not, that's okay." She asks, also trying to reassure Discord.
"No, I don't..." he's silent again "but... I'm more so curious about what this symbol, or these crystals, have to do with chaos magic. I've never heard of them before!" He says, looking back to the book.
He opens the book again "Chaos crystals..." he reads from the book.
Tessa reaches out her hand for the book, Discord gives it to her.
"I'll look more into it. I'll also see if Celestia knows anything." Tessa said
Discord's eyes widen for a moment. Did he hear her correctly? Did she say... Celestia?
"Celestia? As in... Princess Celestia?" Discord questions.
