Only Chapter: Jingle Bells & Wedding Tolls - Reboot
It was currently Hearth's Warming Eve, and both Ponies and Changelings both were in attendance at the Castle of Friendship owned by Twilight Sparkle. This is because in addition to the usual festivities, this year there's a ceremony where Starlight, Trixie, Discord, and King Thorax will be given Pink Hearts of Courage; a medal awarded to those that show immense bravery.
Additionally, the Changeling High Council is in the castle as well, and they had asked to talk with Princess Celestia prior to the medals being awarded. King Thorax was also asked to be talked with.
"The High Council has this to say about Thorax's hive: It is allowed to exist without issue and will be spared." A Changeling Queen that was purple colored said.
"We have to admit that we had only expected a pony to try and stop Wildson from fulfilling his task. We were quite insistant on there being no pony interruptions on Wildson's task. We most certainly did not say anything about a dragon." A Changeling King that was blue colored said.
"We really had no idea that any dragons were residents of Equestria's borders. We thought they stuck to the dragon lands." A Changeling Queen that was Cyan said.
"Spike and Smolder are admittedly a bit unique in that sense. Smolder was discovered by Rarity shortly after the dragoness's egg was hatched by Rainbow Dash's first Sonic Rainboom and at the same time, Spike was born by my pupil turned princess of friendship Twilight Sparkle." Celestia said. "Spike has always had a penchant for protecting others. From what I understand, he wanted to try and save Wildson from his inner bloodlust. The result though, was not what any of us wanted."
"We will not hold the fact that the elements of harmony were used once Wildson's inner bloodlust took over his mind. We are aware of how much Wildson gets reduced to a wild animal once his inner bloodlust takes control." The Purple Queen said.
"By the way, I thought there were four members of the high council. Where's number four?" Thorax asked.
"Oh apparently, someone spiked the punch with hot sauce and our current forth member has a wierd allergy to hot sauce where instead of having their mouth on fire, they will become completly intoxicated." The Blue King said.
Suddenly an orange changeling queen was sent flying into the wall due to trying to flirt with Applejack who the changeling queen had thought was male. "...And it causes their entire judgement to essentially leave the building as they say." The Cyan Queen said.
"You two spiked the punch?" Twilight asked, talking with both Rainbow Dash and Pinkie Pie.
"We thought it'd be a great prank everyone could laugh at because it's the holidays, it's hot sauce, and it's a celebration." Rainbow Dash said.
"We didn't think THAT would happen." Pinkie Pie said.
Twilight sighed. "Well I can't blame you for trying to kick the party up a notch, but I doubt anyone expected that a changeling of all creatures could have such a bizare allergy. I mean, who becomes intoxicated off of hot sauce?!" She exclaimed.
"Appereantly, that changeling queen does." Rainbow Dash said, pointing to a nearby cage where the changeling queen who drank the punch which now had to be swapped out was being held so they didn't go hitting on Applejack again.
"Seriously, that was NOT something to laugh about. Poor girl. I hope she recovers soon." Pinkie Pie said.
"Trust me when I say this: This is not the first time that changeling queen has gotten bucked into a wall because they accidently hit on a female when they thought they were hitting on a male due to their intoxicated state." The Purple Queen said.
"Though there was more damage done this time then in the past. Exactly what kind of exercise does Applejack even do?" The Blue King asked.
"She doesn't do any exercise; Applejack bucks trees to harvest apples from them for a living." Twilight said.
"...That's it?" The Cyan Queen was confused.
"Did you see that farm nearby Ponyville on your way here? That's Sweet Apple Acres. Applejack's family both owns and lives there." Rainbow Dash pointed out.
A look of dread suddenly went over the entire high council. "...And suddenly the damage our fourth member received is crystal clear." The Purple Queen asked.
"I would like to take this time to congratulate Starlight Glimmer, Trixie Lunamoon, Discord, and King Thorax for their bravery in rescuing pony kind from the cluches of the usurper queen Chryaslis, a rogue changeling. Congradulations go out to all four of you." Celestia said.
"Those four really did a great job huh?" Soarin asked.
"Yep. I doubt I could do anything they did twenty percent cooler. Because I don't see something like that." Rainbow Dash said.
"Your already one of the coolest and one of the more awesome ponies I know, Rainbow." Soarin said.
"Heh. Tell me something I don't know." Rainbow Dash said.
"Well...I do have one question for you." Soarin asked.
"If this is in regards to my mother moving into ponyville more permanently, we can talk about this--"
Rainbow Dash was interrupted when Soarin got out an engagement ring. "Would you marry me, Rainbow Dash?" Soarin asked.
Rainbow Dash suddenly blushed. "...Geez, do you even need to ask Soarin? Of course the answer to that question is a resounding yes."
"...Even when she's being engaged too, Rainbow has to find someway to make it different." Applejack noted.
"Yay! Now I can finally get to work on the 'congrates on your engagement' party!" Pinkie Pie said.
"...Wait, where's Smolder and Spike?" Rairty asked.
"...For once, I don't know..." Twilight said.
Just then, the sound track changed. "...Oh, you have got to be kidding me..." Rainbow Dash said as she recognized the music.
"YOU MEAN SPIKE PLANNED A WEDDING WITHOUT ME KNOWING ABOUT IT?!" Shining Armor exclaimed as Spike took the top of the stairs in his tuxedo from the gala.
"Oh hi pot; name's kettle; have we met?" Twilight asked, giggling at her other brother's expanse at this.
"...Okay ha ha ha. I get it, karma's a cruel mistress, yadda yadda yadda..." Shining Armor said.
"I'm more surprised that I didn't even see this coming." Pinkie Pie said as Smolder began walking up to where Spike is in a wedding dress.
"I think this is the first time Smolder's ever warn that wedding dress I made for her on a whim a couple of months ago. I've never seen her wear it until now." Rarity said.
"Back up, Pinkie Pie didn't see this coming? But...but it's Pinkie Pie! How could she not see this coming?!" Rainbow Dash exclaimed as Smolder and Spike began exchanging vows.
"I guess that just goes to show how well hidden both Spike & Smolder kept this wedding hidden from everyone if Pinkie Pie was surprised by it." Twilight said.
"Yeah...this was two months overdue if you ask me." Rarity said.
Meanwhile on the sidelines, Dragon Lord Ember was watching the new dragon couple kiss each other passionately. I was originally planning on telling Spike the truth today, but...considering he just got married, I think I'll save the truth for a couple more weeks. She thought to herself.
But elsewhere, Zanth was in a room on the Storm King's private vessel. "Once I've obtained the Heart of Desire, I'll have no more need for The Storm King." Zanth said.
