Pain.

It is something Pinkamena Diane Pie knew all too well, and as she sat across the table from her mother and father she knew that pain was going fo become a factor once again.

"explain yourself".

The pink pony huffed. She could and very well should but that wouldn't change the outcome of the situation. No, for you see the pink pony was smart, and because of that she knew that no matter what answer she gave it would still be her fault.

Her fault.

"Well?! father Barked. His tone was cold and demanding as he stared into the eyes of his second-youngest foal. His steel gaze sent a spark of fear down her spine.

"It wasn't our fault! The colt offered to bring a friend and they were being too rough and then they pushed down Mar-"

The sound of hoof against flesh echoes in the room as Pinkamena's World spins.

She falls.

Her back connected with the hard floor as pain exploded on her right cheek. Fighting back tears the mare waits for her vision to clear before looking up.

father looks back down at her hoof raised.

'You had one job, Dian, now even more ponies will begin to suspect!

Snorting the filly looks away. Tears flow down her cheeks no matter how hard she wipes them away. It wasn't her fault! Why does she have to take the blame despite being the second youngest? It wasn't fair.

It. Wasn't. Fair.

"Get up" her mother orders her voice soft but it was no mistaking the disappointment andcruelty behind two simple words.

Rolling to her stomach the filly starts to stand. Only to receive another blow, this time to the back of the head with enough force to surely cause am conscious. Once again the filly drops her vision swarming with ity bity black dots.

For a moment she lays there. Unable to move or process the reality of it all, as quickly as the moment came it vanished, and instead of continued silence the silly discovers two distinct voices.

Familiar voices.

Her sisters.

"stop!" Limestone barked as she and Marble stood in front of their pink kin. Shielding her from their parents. Limestone despite it all was a very brave outspoken pony and wasn't afraid to voice her opinions to the world. Marble on the other hoof was more reversed and silent. By herself, she took everything head-on without flinching or complaint. However, when the time came for them to stand together the sisters didn't hesitate for a second.

"It was just some stupi-'!

A hoof struck and in an instant, the grey mare was on the floor nearly colliding with Pinkamena.

"DON'T YOU DARE RAISE YOUR VOICE IN THIS HOUSE!"

father's voice booms. The look in his eyes was something Pinkamena would never forget for in that instant she felt true fear.

Frozen to the spot and unable to move as her sister lay in an unconscious heap next to her she watches helplessly as Marble took a stance to protect them. Her head lowers and her eyes lock on the floor.

It was mother who spoke next.

"Move Marble".

She doesn't.

A hoof strikes.

Marble stumbles nose beginning to bleed but she holds her ground.

Another hoof.

She falls back eye beginning to swell but she stands up again.

Father's eyes were getting darker now as Mother stood idly by watching the events unfold. If they want to play games and do not realize that actions have consequences then it is up to the two of them to do as they please.

A third hoof.

This time Marble felt something inside her physically break as her ribs roared with pain.

Yet she does not move.

"YOU WILL LEARN!" Father roars raising another hoof.

Seeing this something inside breaks within Pinkamena and the filly lets out a scream as she stands lunging forward intending to take the blow.

It was then at that moment that something inside the house screamed back.

Silence.

Slowly Father and Mother turn locking eyes with each other as a silent message passes between them.

Then they heard it.

A voice.

Raspsy, small, weak.

"insects are eating at my insides spiders whisper in my sleep, in the darkness the hanged mare speaks.

Slowly ever so slowly the ponies turn their heads toward the locked and barricaded cellar door.

Something slams against it.

Hard.

The door shook as cracks appeared causing both parents to back away slightly. However, Father scowls after a moment. He refuses to be afraid this is his house! His ho-'!

"LET ME IN!"

The voice screamed as the door shook once more as if it was desperately trying to contain a wild animal.

Fear took hold of his soul once more as he backed away. Mother thinking quickly on her hooves went over and tried to calm the thing on the other side of the door. Her voice held a sweet tone that was replied with roars of rage as the shaking intensified before it broke into laughter sickly sweet as if mocking her tone.

Pinkamena Dian Pie watched her parents. The very same ponies who hurt her and her sisters just for having fun are now just ponies scrambling around like ants.

It was funny.

So very funny.

Pinkamena made a sound.

She blinked and realized she couldn't stop.

She blinked twice before noticing Marble grabbed a knife from the counter.

She blinked a third time before seeing Limestone regain consciousness.

She turns her head back to see the cellar door break apart as a scarred hoof bursts through grabbing Mother by the neck.

She gasps as her father screams only to be silenced by a chair to the skull, blood mixed with brain matter scattering across the floor.

Pinkamena sees all of this and in this moment she realizes that she isn't sobbing or anything like that.

No, she was laughing.

Laughing because even though no cutie mark appears she has just found her purpose.

Their purpose,

And something told her that cupcakes are somehow gonna get involved.

Lights of a flock.

The night was cold and chilly as a lone Mare walked through the empty streets of Philadelphia. She presumably spends her night earning bits unfortunately the methods in which to do so aren't exactly something that's supported by Society, but then again the risk of losing a home and or starving to death isn't exactly a desirable outcome. With this in mind, societal standards are the least of her worries.

Then again there is a higher risk of losing her life than normal. Rumor has it that there has been a string of murders happening around Philadelphia primarily at night. The police are keeping on the down low but there have been instances of bodies being found with multiple stab wounds suggesting that more than one pony is doing the killing. That's the rumor anyway and it isn't exactly confirmed to be true but then again there's always that chance in her line of work.

The man turns heading toward a shortcut one she would have taken many times before, but unfortunately, she is blocked by two figures.

Both were stallions. One young and the other old both looked harmless enough, but their eyes held a different story. Their eyes had a look of hunger about them and not the kind that the mare was more than a custom with.

No, this was different and it unsettled her.

"hey, little mare wanna help us out?"

No, she didn't she was already sore enough as it was, and something told her to get as far away from these two as possible.

"No thanks, perhaps another time but I need to get home now stallions."

She pushes the two aside and continues on her walk. Only to be stopped by two mares in her way.

Okay....now she was starting to freak out.

"Now you listen here" the younger stallion who was green starts smoothly. His voice was deep with an air of charm that clued her in that he was probably the leader.

"Me and the lovely ponies you see before you here have been itching to have a little fun and well, unfortunately for you it's gonna be tough".

The stallion laughs softly causing the others to grin as they watch her every move. Their eyes weren't just regular ponies anymore but full-blown apex predators. One's who's morals are no longer a factor even against their kind.

The mare narrowed her eyes as adrenaline gripped her heart. She was outnumbered that munch she knew, then again it wasn't like she didn't plan for this.

"tell me limp dick, have you ever realized that you fucked up so badly you wish you could take it all back?"

The stallion stops and looks at her in confusion.

What was this mare on about? Oh well not like it matters all that much. Besides she will be dead and he will have two very turned-on mares and a jealous partner to deal with.

"To answer your question no and I don't plan on having any anytime soon".

The marre would smile in response.

"That's the thing compared to me you are already dead".

"Oh, will you shut up! The other stallion snaps his eyes wide with anticipation as he steps forward. A knife was held in his mouth.

"I just wanna spill your little whore guts!"

The other two mares behind her laughed in agreement cheering him on as he got closer.

Said cheering turns into dead silence as a voice breaks through the air. Feminine, dark, with a hint of an edge near insanity.

"The itys bitys spider climbed up the water spout".

The voice caused one of the mare's eyes to go wide with fearful recognition.

"Down came to the rain and washed the spider out".

The green stallion gritted his teeth in confusion and looked around unable to see anything through the darkness. Only to hear a pair of hooves coming towards them as figures began to emerge from the darkness.

"I-it them" the mare whispers backing away and causing her friends to look at her.

"Who?! The stallion snapped keeping his eyes locked on the figures as they began to fully emerge.

"Along came the sun and dried up all the rain".

It was two mares walking side by side. One was a light grey Earth pony. Her lavender eye stared into any pony who dared look into hers. The eye itself held a twisted sense of wonder that seemed childlike and incredibly disturbing. Her mane and tail were long and covered a good half of her face. Unlike her counterpart who stood tall, the mare hung her body low to the ground a knife held tightly in her mouth.

The second mare was a light pink pony with light blue eyes that just oozed malice intent as she locked eyes with the leader. She walked with an air of authority and self-confidence that most mares can only dream of. Her dark pink mane was flat and much longer than the pony's standing next to her. With each step, it nearly touched the ground by inches. However, what disturbed ponies the most was her enormous smile that stretched across her features should frankly be outright impossible.

the itty-bitty spider climbed up the spout again" she finished as the trio stopped.

"I-it t-the smi-smiley face killers!" the mare shouted before instincts took over and she turned running as fast as her legs could carry her.

Only for a large black hoof to reach out among the darkness and firmly plant itself against the mare's cheek forcing her body against the wall.

The mare muffles out a scream as a pair of sickly yellow orbs appear and stare almost blankly into the mare's own.

Then it spoke.

He spoke.

"insects are eating my insides' the voice whispers in a deep raspy tone. His eyes suddenly sparked to life as he dug his hoof further into the mare's cheek causing her to scream louder as her skull began to crack under the weight of his hoof.

"SHE SPEAKS OF THE TRUTH WITHOUT A HINT OF A LIE!" he throws his head back and laughs before crushing the mare's skull completely.

The green stallion immediately pissed himself in fear upon seeing this monstrous version of what is supposed to be a pony.

"Don't get too riled up now Jasper" the pink mare cooed in a soft almost motherly voice.

"the second mare was frozen in a near-petrified state but upon seeing her friend get slaughtered the mare snapped and screened bloody Vengeance as she grabbed her knife and charged. Only to be intercepted by the mare from before who lunges, pulling her back by the mane before shoving a blade into the mare's neck.

"Stupid bitch!" she snapped before pulling off her wing revealing to have a short grey mane.

The green stallion's eyes widen upon seeing this it is at this moment that he also realizes there are only two of them left and about four of them. He looks over at his partner and sees the same look of fear and realization as he too also came to that conclusion.

Which meant they were both going to die.

The pink mare who was undoubtedly the leader clapped her hooves.

"Alright everybody we have only two left which means that one of them will be added on tonight".

"I say take the leader he should be mild enough," says the grey-mane mare.

The dark stallion eyed the two of them while rocking back and forth his gaze blank and never leaving.

The mare beside the pink one leaned forward and whispered something into her ear.

They watched in stunned horror as her freakish wide grin grew.

Oh, I think Marble has a better idea in mind.

::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::

The air was thick with a sinister aura as Marble, her eyes gleaming with sadistic pleasure, held the flame thrower in her hoof. The two helpless ponies, their bodies trembling with fear, were bound tightly, unable to escape their impending doom. Their muffled screams of agony pierced through the eerie silence, drowned out only by the crackling of the flames.

Marble's twisted amusement manifested in a hauntingly melodic hum that echoed through the desolate room. Each note seemed to dance with the flickering flames, as if celebrating the suffering before her. The others, lurking in the shadows behind her, reveled in the macabre spectacle,

As the flames engulfed the ponies, their once vibrant coats turned to charred remnants, their skin blistering and peeling away. The stench of burning flesh filled the air, mingling with the sickening scent of victory. Marble's eyes remained fixated on the horrifying scene, her lips curling into a sadistic smile.

The onlookers, consumed by a perverse ecstasy, erupted into a chorus of cheers and howls of laughter. Their voices, distorted by their own darkness, blended into a cacophony of madness.

Marble grinned.

Oh, what a day to be alive.
