> Dog Of The North Star: Dazzling Drama > by Mariotron > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- > The New Kid In Canterlot High > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- The bell rang, signaling the end of another class at Canterlot High. Students poured out of classrooms, chattering and laughing as they made their way to their next destination. Among them was Sunset Shimmer, who was still getting used to her new role as a reformed villain. She was deep in thought when she bumped into someone. "Ouch! Oh, I'm so sorry," Sunset apologized, looking up to see a young man with black hair and a beige blazer. He had a unique necklace and dark-brown pants. "It's alright, miss. No harm done. Oh my swirls, this place is so big!" the young man replied, his eyes wide with wonder. Sunset couldn't help but smile. "You must be new here. I'm Sunset Shimmer." "I'm Komasan Komaishi. Nice to meet ya," he said, extending a hand. Meanwhile, in the cafeteria, the Dazzlings were sitting at their usual table. Adagio Dazzle, the leader, was visibly frustrated. "Our spell isn't working as effectively as I'd hoped. We need more negative energy to regain our full powers." Aria Blaze sighed, "Well, maybe if Sonata didn't mess up the lyrics all the time..." "Hey! It's not my fault they're so complicated," Sonata Dusk retorted. Just then, Komasan walked into the cafeteria, looking lost. Adagio's eyes narrowed as she sensed something different about him. "Girls, do you feel that? He's...immune to our spell." Intrigued, Adagio decided to approach Komasan. "Hello there, you seem lost. Can we help you?" "Oh my swirls, that would be mighty kind of ya. I'm lookin' for the music room. My little bro got me into DJing a while back, and I thought I'd give it another try." Adagio smirked. "Well, you're in luck. We're performers too. Why don't you join us for practice later?" That evening, Komasan found himself behind a DJ set in the school's music room. The Dazzlings were practicing their latest song, and he couldn't help but feel the energy in the room. "Wow, y'all are really good," Komasan said, genuinely impressed. Adagio couldn't help but feel a warmth she hadn't felt in a long time. "Thank you, Komasan. You're not so bad yourself." As they wrapped up, Komasan felt his phone buzz. It was a message from Sunset Shimmer. "Hey, Komasan. Can we talk? I've heard you've been spending time with the Dazzlings." Komasan looked up to see Adagio packing her things. For some reason, he felt like he was at a crossroads, one that could change the course of his life at Canterlot High. > A Heart-to-Heart with Sunset Shimmer > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- Komasan found himself sitting on a bench in the school courtyard, waiting for Sunset Shimmer. The sun was setting, casting a warm glow over the school grounds. He fiddled with his Transformation Leaf necklace, deep in thought. Sunset arrived, her expression serious but not unfriendly. "Hey, Komasan. Thanks for meeting me." "No problem, Sunset Shimmer. What did ya wanna talk about?" Sunset took a deep breath. "It's about the Dazzlings. They're not what they seem. They're actually sirens from Equestria, and they feed off negative energy. They're dangerous, Komasan." Komasan looked at her, his eyes widening. "Oh my swirls, that sounds serious. But, ya know, they've been nothin' but nice to me." Sunset sighed. "That's how they lure you in. I should know; I was once like them. I manipulated people, used them for my own gain. It took a magical battle and the friendship of others to make me see the error of my ways." Komasan felt a connection with Sunset's words. "Ya know, where I come from, there are beings who can be mischievous or even harmful. They're called Yo-kai." Sunset looked intrigued. "Yo-kai?" "Yeah, I'm actually one of 'em," Komasan admitted, touching his Transformation Leaf necklace. "This leaf turns me human, but I can still use my Yo-kai powers. Maybe that's why their spell didn't work on me." Sunset looked amazed but also relieved. "That explains a lot. But it also means you have a unique perspective, Komasan. You can see the good in others, even those who have lost their way." Komasan nodded. "I reckon everyone deserves a chance to change, just like you did, Sunset Shimmer." Sunset smiled, her eyes softening. "Thank you, Komasan. But be careful. The Dazzlings are more dangerous than you think. If you're going to be around them, you should know what you're getting into." Komasan looked towards the setting sun, then back at Sunset. "I appreciate the warnin', but I can't help but feel like there's some good in them, especially Adagio. Maybe all they need is a friend to help 'em find it." Sunset couldn't help but admire Komasan's optimism. "Well, if anyone can get through to them, it's you. Just promise me you'll be careful." Komasan grinned. "Promise." As they parted ways, both felt a newfound respect for each other. Komasan couldn't shake the feeling that he was on the cusp of something big, something that could change not just his life but the lives of those around him. > Bad little girl (Songfic chapter) > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- Adagio Dazzle had a plan. She wanted to throw a party before the Battle of the Bands, a perfect opportunity to gather more negative energy. But this time, she had a different motive as well—she wanted to get to know Komasan better. “Girls, we’re throwing a party. And I want Komasan to be there,” Adagio announced to Aria and Sonata. Aria raised an eyebrow. “A party? With Komasan? Are you going soft on us, Adagio?” Adagio smirked. “Let’s just say I’m curious. Besides, it’s a great way to gather more energy.” Komasan received the invitation and felt a mix of excitement and nervousness. He decided to bring along Jibanyan, who had also acquired a human form, as his siblings were out of town. “Jibanyan, ya ready for the party?” Komasan asked, adjusting his blazer. Jibanyan grinned, “You bet, nyan! This is gonna be pawsome!” The party was in full swing when Komasan and Jibanyan arrived. Adagio spotted them and made her way over. “Komasan, you made it! And you brought a friend,” she said, eyeing Jibanyan. “This is Jibanyan. He’s also a Yo-kai,” Komasan introduced. Adagio’s eyes widened but she quickly masked her surprise. “Well, the more the merrier. Would you like to sing a song with me?” Komasan looked at Jibanyan, who gave him a thumbs-up. “Sure, let’s do it.” [Adagio] Follow my lead [Adagio] Good little boy Always picking a fight with me You know that I’m bad But you’re spending the night with me What do you want from my world? You’re a good little boy [Komasan] Bad little girl That’s what you’re acting like I really don’t buy That you’re that kind of girl And if you are Why do you want to hang out with me? [Adagio] Don’t you know I’m a siren? Every night, I’m out schemin’, sendin’ everyone runnin’ like children I know why you’re here with me, I’ve got siren eyes And they’re looking right through your Yo-kai vibes Into your deepest dreams, boy, I’m not from here I’m from Equestria there To me, you’re clear, transparent You got a thing for me, boy, it’s apparent [Jibanyan, Komasan & Adagio] Oh, oh I got a hot fish and I got two hot chocobars Well, they’ll make a good meal, (Meanwhile whilst Jibanyan was doing his solo Komasan and Adagio had a small chat) Maybe You’re not so bad, you know Not so bad? I’m the daughter of a siren And the Queen bee of the Dazzlings It’s not something I have to try at You on the other hand I’m not trying to be bad I’m hanging out with you because you’re my friend [Adagio] What? Like her? [Komasan & Adagio] Pfft, pfft, no, different! Ugh, hey! Komasan said a tad bit annoyed Hee-yah! Komasan play hit Adagio (Oh no!) Adagio playfully looked like to stumble on her feet before propping herself back up Hee-yah! (Oh! Hahaha) Komasan play hit Adagio again just laughing at his attempts Woah, woah break it up you two! JIbanyan interrupted being a bit peeved As the song ended, the room erupted in applause. Adagio looked at Komasan, her eyes softer than they had ever been. Komasan felt it too—a connection, a spark, something that told him that maybe, just maybe, Adagio could change. And for the first time, Adagio felt a glimmer of hope that maybe she could find something she had never thought she needed: a true friend...Or perhaps a lover? > Twilight's Return and the Looming Battle > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- Twilight Sparkle stepped through the portal, her eyes adjusting to the familiar surroundings of Canterlot High. She had received an urgent message from Sunset Shimmer about the Dazzlings and their nefarious plans, but what intrigued her the most was the mention of a Yo-kai named Komasan. "Twilight, you're back!" Sunset exclaimed, rushing to greet her. "I got your message, Sunset. This situation with the Dazzlings sounds serious. And you mentioned a Yo-kai?" Sunset nodded. "His name is Komasan. He's different, Twilight. He's immune to the Dazzlings' spell, and he's actually befriended them." Meanwhile, Komasan was in the music room with the Dazzlings and Jibanyan, who was now inadvertently involved in the whole situation. "So, the Battle of the Bands is tomorrow," Adagio began, her eyes meeting Komasan's. "Are you ready?" Komasan hesitated. "I reckon I am, but are y'all sure about this plan? It's causin' a lot of strife among the students." Adagio looked conflicted for a moment but quickly masked it. "It's necessary, Komasan. We need to regain our full powers." Jibanyan chimed in, "Dude, are you sure we should be doing this? It doesn't feel right, nyan." Komasan sighed. "I know, Jibanyan. But I can't help but feel there's some good in them. Maybe this is the way to bring it out." Adagio overheard this and felt a pang of guilt. She was torn between her desire for power and the genuine friendship she was starting to feel for Komasan. Twilight and Sunset were in the library, researching Yo-kai and trying to come up with a plan to counter the Dazzlings' magic. "According to this, Yo-kai are supernatural beings with various abilities. Some are good, some are bad, and some are neutral," Twilight said, reading from a book. Sunset looked thoughtful. "Komasan is definitely one of the good ones. But can he help us stop the Dazzlings?" Just then, the door burst open, and the Rainbooms entered, looking frazzled. "Twilight, you're back!" Rainbow Dash exclaimed. "We could really use your help," Fluttershy added. "The whole school is turning against each other." Twilight closed the book and stood up. "Then we don't have much time. The Battle of the Bands is tomorrow, and that's when the Dazzlings will be at their strongest." Sunset looked at her friends, then at Twilight. "We need to talk to Komasan. If he's as good as I think he is, he might be the key to stopping the Dazzlings." As the sun set over Canterlot High, the tension was palpable. Friendships were at stake, and the Battle of the Bands loomed like a dark cloud over the school. But amidst the chaos, there were glimmers of hope, and the possibility of redemption for those who didn't even think of seeking it. > The price of loyalty > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- The atmosphere at Canterlot High was electric. The Battle of the Bands had finally arrived, and the tension was palpable. The Dazzlings, with Komasan as their DJ and Jibanyan as a backup dancer, were ready to take the stage. "Are you sure about this, Komasan?" Jibanyan asked, his eyes filled with concern. Komasan looked at Adagio, who was nervously adjusting her pendant. "I have to see this through, Jibanyan. Maybe this is the way to help them change." Aria rolled her eyes. "Fine, the cat can stay. But if you mess this up, you're on your own." The Rainbooms, now joined by Twilight and Sunset, were backstage, going over their plan one last time. "Remember, our friendship is more powerful than any magic they have," Twilight said, looking at each of her friends. Sunset nodded. "And we have to reach Komasan. He's the key to all of this." The Dazzlings took the stage, the crowd instantly falling under their spell. Komasan started the beat, his hands moving skillfully over the DJ set. Adagio began to sing, her voice filled with a mix of confidence and vulnerability that only Komasan could detect. As the Rainbooms began to play, the magic of friendship started to manifest. Twilight and Sunset's eyes met, and they knew it was time. A magical alicorn astral projection formed around them, its power growing with each note. Adagio felt the surge of magic and looked at Komasan, who nodded. This was it—the final showdown. The Rainbooms unleashed their magic, a blast of pure friendship aimed directly at the Dazzlings. But just as it was about to hit, Komasan stepped in front of them, his eyes filled with determination. The blast hit him full force, mitigating some of the damage but still destroying the Dazzlings' astral projections and jewel pendants. The crowd snapped out of their trance, the spell finally broken. Komasan collapsed, his body battered and bruised from the magical onslaught. Adagio rushed to his side, tears in her eyes. "You idiot! Why did you do that?" she cried. "Because...everyone deserves a chance to change," Komasan whispered, his voice weak. Just then, Trixie appeared, a screwdriver in her hand. "This is for ruining everything!" she yelled, stabbing Komasan seven times in the chest, forming the shape of the Big Dipper, before being apprehended and taken away. Adagio screamed, cradling Komasan in her arms. "Someone call an ambulance!" Komasan was rushed to the hospital, his condition critical. The doctors managed to stabilize him, but the scars on his chest would remain forever—a constant reminder of the price he paid for his loyalty. As he lay in the hospital bed, Adagio sat beside him, her eyes red from crying. "You saved us, Komasan. And I don't know how to thank you," she said softly. Komasan looked at her, his eyes filled with a mix of pain and love. "You can start by being a better person, Adagio. That's all the thanks I need." And as he drifted off to sleep, Adagio couldn't help but feel that maybe, just maybe, they both had found something worth fighting for > Epilogue: A new chapter > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- Three Months Later In the Yokai World Komajiro and their mother were watching a news update about the events at Canterlot High. The Yokai World was abuzz with the story of Komasan's bravery. "Big bro is a hero, mama," Komajiro said, his eyes shining with pride. Their mother nodded, wiping away a tear. "Yes, he is. But more importantly, he's a good soul." Canterlot High Komasan had returned to school, his scars hidden but his spirit stronger than ever. He had become something of a legend, the Yo-kai who stood up to the Dazzlings and lived to tell the tale. Sunset Shimmer approached him one day, a smile on her face. "You're officially part of the group, Komasan. How does it feel to be a hero?" Komasan chuckled. "I ain't no hero, Sunset. I just did what I thought was right." The Dazzlings Adagio, Aria, and Sonata were going through a period of adjustment. Without their pendants, they had lost their powers, but in the process, they had gained something far more valuable—a chance at redemption. Adagio found herself spending more time with Komasan, the two forming a bond that neither had expected. "Life without magic is...different," Adagio admitted to him one day. "But not necessarily bad, right?" Komasan replied, his eyes meeting hers. Adagio smiled. "Right." Jibanyan Jibanyan had returned to the Yokai World, his brief stint as a backup dancer making him a minor celebrity. But he missed his time with Komasan and the others. "Hey, Komasan, when are we going back to Canterlot High? I kinda miss it, nyan," Jibanyan texted him one day. "Soon, Jibanyan. Very soon," Komasan replied, a smile forming on his lips. As the days turned into weeks and the weeks into months, the lives of Komasan, his family, Jibanyan, and the Dazzlings had changed in ways they had never imagined. But through it all, one thing remained constant—their ability to change, to grow, and to find goodness in the most unexpected of places. And so, as the sun set over Canterlot High, a new chapter began—a chapter filled with hope, friendship, and the promise of a better tomorrow.
