Our story begins in grogars lair. A place ex royal Guard Raptor Glow never thougt he would find himself, especially with his newborn baby, yet here he was surrounded by the four most dangerous villains in all of equestria.
"You told us you wanted to make a deal with us?" Grogar sat in the middle of the big dimly lit room, in front of him something that looked like an eye. On his left Tirek, the magic stealing centaur, stood his arms crossed he clearly didn't get his needed sleep. Eventough the centaur wasn't even close to his former size, Raptor still felt uneasy, after all he experienced first hoof what Tirek was capable of, back then he stood on the front lines of the battle against him, trying his best to keep him away from the princesses, to no avail. Next Raptor noticed the former king of the Crystal Empire, Sombra, who was sleeping on a big throne made of black rocks. from Time to Time he quickly woke up before resuming napping. The last member was chrysalis, ex queen of the changelings. She was barely noticeable in the dark, the only thing that signaled her excistence were th two glowing green eyes that followed Raptor everywhere, observing his every move very carefully. He felt like Chrysalis was just awaiting the perfect moment to strike.
"Yes." His years of working as a guard taught him how to keep his cool in every possible situation.
"Well then Speak"
"I am ready to give you all of my magic" Tirek suddenly didn't look so tired anymore "all my love" sharp fangs appeared under the vibrant green eyes "and everything i know about the princesses and the Elements" Sombra immediatly woke up and grogar looked at him pleasantly surprised.
"What can i do for you?" Raptors heart started to speed up and his mind was considering leaving. Was he really going to betray everything he ever believed in, everything he ever hold dear to his heart? Then he looked back at the newborn foal he had on his back.
"All that will be yours if" Everycreatures attention was on him "if you raise my daugther" the room erupted into awkward silence. Tireks mind was full of questions, he didn't knew how to ask, Sombra blinked rapidly, Chrysalis felt incredibly offended, she was a queen not a foalsitter and grogar was absolutely flabergasted.
"That is the weirdest thing anyone has ever asked me in my long, long life, so i would like you to elabroate some more" The father of Monsters slowly collected himself.
"There is not much to really tell. I will give you everything i have, take my life if you will, aslong as you will give this foal everything she needs to be a healthy and responsible mare, no price is too high" Chrysalis suddenly jumped out of the dark in front of him. she charged her horn with magic and threw him on the ground.
"Who do you think you're talking to! If you honestly think we would even consider something so idotic you are gravely mis-"
"Let him go Chrysalis" Grogar looked into his eye.
"By all due respect Grogar. We are not particularly good at being parents. i would cause chaos whenever my parents put me in charge of my treaturous brother, chrysalis children willingly abandoned her" A hiss warned tirek to be more carefull of his words "And Sombra hates Children!" The Kings Face changed in utter disgust.
"Raptor i want you to listen to me now, because i am going to say something very important. We will take your child on as our own, but for that we will take all of your memories, your love and your magic. Do you agree to these conditions?" Just as is minions wanted to argue with grogars decision, he taped their mothes shut.
"Yes. I do"
"Then give me the child and chrysalis you can start taking his love" Raptor looked at his daughter for the very last Time, then he let Grogars Magic levitate her into the goats arms. More time to think about his decision he didn't have, because chrysalis was already having a feast on his love. He slowly felt all his love fading, then his magic and finally he forgot everything that just occured. The unicorn, who at this point was basically just an empty husk was teleported back into his house in Manehatten.
"What is your plan with this!" All her thankfullness for getting delicious love, dissapeared the moment she realized the foal in Grogars arms.
"Calm down Chrysalis, that fool has just given us important wisdom, that could prove extremly useful in getting our revenge, all for us playing parents for a few years. how hard can that be?"
"Please don't jinx it" tireks tiredness, which flew away at gaining extra powers, appeared again
"i have a better question how do you plan on raising this... thing" Sombra pointed at the fast asleep foal
"I'm sure chrysalis can help you"
"Altough i was an amazing Mother Lord Tirek!" the centaur rolled his eyes "I don't think ponies are supposed to be raised the same as changelings"
"Well you will figure it out, but first she needs a name"
"Can't we just call her the foal? Names create attachment"
"This foal is going to be living wth us for at least eighteen years! You are not going to call her the foal Tirek! Now think of something, i need to watch these memories" Before anycreature could say anything grogar was gone leaving them alone with the foal placed next to the eye. For a while all three just stared at it, all of them questioning their live choices.
"Let's just call her 001" Chrysalis observed the foal carefully she had a light pink coat and a white mane with blue stripes that looked terrible.
"Please just because she looks horrendous, doesn't mean we have to give her a horrendous name, how about crystal?"
"No Sombra definetly not, Tirek?" The centaur was looking at it all curled up. She looked very cozy, suddenly inspiration hit him.
"Cozy Glow"
"That name sounds absolutely terrible, but somehow very fitting for a pony"
"It seems we have done the impossible Chrysalis come to an agreement." They all continued to stare at Cozy. Just as they were about to think that just maybe this wasn't going to be so bad afterall, cozy started to cry louder than a train.
Sombra put his hooves on his ears "THIS IS WHY I HATE CHILDREN!"
"CHRYSALIS DO SOMETHING!" Tirek couldn't even hear his own voice over the fillies cries.
"WHY ME?"
"YOU'RE THE ONLY ONE WHO HAS EXPERIENCE WITH THESE SORT OF THINGS!"
"MY CHANGELINGS ALWAYS COMFORTED EACH OTHER WHEN THEY WERE SAD!"
"AND YOU STILL WONDER WHY THEY LEFT YOU!"
"IF MY EARS WEREN'T ABOUT TO FALL OFF I WOULD RIP YOU TO SHREDS KING SOMBRA!" If his teammates weren't going to do anything about that awful noise, Tirek needed to take one for the Team and try to do the unthinkable comfort the child. His first instinct was to throw her against the wall like he would do to his brother Scorpan back in their childhood days, but after thinking how Scorpan would just cry more whenever Tirek did that, he knew he needed a better solution.
"TIREK WOULD YOU PLEASE STOP AWKWARDLY HOLDING THAT THING AND DO SOMETHING!"
"I'M TRYING!"
Meanwhile Grogar was absolutely befuddled at the incompetence of his minions. Even his many monsters would be better at handling children then them. Sometimes he played with the thought of just going out on his own and take on the mane six all alone, yet even a creature as powerful as him was no match against the dreaded Power of friendship. However those memories looked promising too bad he couldn't understand a word.
"OH FOR CELESTIAS SAKE THE FOALS PROBABLY JUST HUNGRY GIVE IT SOMETHING TO EAT!"
"AND WHAT SHOULD WE GIVE IT"
"BUGS?"
"ROCKS?"
"YEAH GREAT IDEA SOMBRA LET'S GIVE THIS CHILD A ROCK!"
"YOU ARE THE ONE WHO WANTED TO GIVE IT A BUG CHRYSALIS" Tirek slowly started to rethink if throwing the thing in his arms at the wall with as much Power as he had was really such a bad idea.
"OH FOR CRYING OUT LOUD! HERE" Chrysalises face was met with a baby bottle. Behind her she could hear her two teammates laughing. As a response she hissed and threw the bottle towards Sombra. He looked not impressed.
"OH YOU WILL REGRET THIS" the crying got louder.
"SOMBRA THE BOTTLE QUICK!" The bottle landed in tireks palm. "GREAT NOW HOW AM I SUPPOSED TO FEED HER THIS?"
"JUST HOLD IT SO THAT THE WEIRD WOBBLY THING GETS INTO HER MOUTH" After he did that the crying immediatly stopped. All three villains relaxed.
"Ugh finally some Peace and quiet.... so what are we going to do with... cozy glow now?" Chrysalis closely observed the filly that almost destroyed her hearing forever.
"What do you exactly mean by that?"
"I mean raising a whole child to adulthood has many Lasers to it. Where is she going to sleep? How do we feed her? Where is she going to go to school? I am not going to play a teacher, this whole thing already caused me a lot of pride. Ponies are very social creatures for her to have a healthy upbringing she will need to have contacts outside of us three and may i remind you that we are still wanted criminals?"
"You are right for once chrysalis" Tirek was highly interested in how fast the filly drank up the White substance inside of the bottle "i have another question why in all of tartarus was that pony under the impression this is a good place to leave his child?"
"Maybe he didn't want to deal with her screaming?" Sombra was massaging his beautiful ears.
"Maybe but couldn't he have just left the child by her mother or maybe an orphanage, instead of giving up everything he had for a few villains to play foalsitter?"
Grogar was also highly curious about the circumstances that lead raptor glow to him. Fortunately he now cozy watch the memories of that pony, so natuarlly his first watch was a memory that looked pretty recent. Raptor was looking terrified he cowered to the side his ears hanging down and a little foal sitting in his arms. Something was coming towards him, but the memory didn't Show what it was. Grogar could make out a feminine voice that constantly whispered.
"you can not hide forever" Perhaps raptor thought by giving his child of to a few villains whatever was coming after him would be intimidated by them? Anyway there were more important memories to be watched. There was one with the princesses that looked useful, but first he needed complete silence.
"I suggest you three don't worry about all the Material needs of our new neighbor, for i will take care of them" his horns glowed for a second and Tirek felt the cave getting bigger "next to your room chrysalis is now a baby room."
"Why mine?"
"Because your hearing is the best out of all of us. Moving on, all you need to do is provide the child with help at handling it's feelings, broken trust, betrayal and all that"
"Do you know who you're talking to? We are Equestrias greatest villains, that evoke fear and distress in everycreature that dares cross our paths, not twisted emotional supporters for children!" Chrysalis was still bitter about the audacity of that pony to even ask them.
"Would you rather go back to your exile in the everfree forest?" She got very silent all of a sudden. "Good now it seems like hhe childs asleep anyways and the moon has begun to rise you better head off to bed and just for today i'll carry it to bed" Tirek felt like two massive stones where just lifted of his back.
"Good i am so tired"
"Didn't you basically sleep trough the entire meeting we had earlier?"
"Shut up Tirek" the trio marched down the hallway, grogar closely behind them. Their ways parted at a three way crossroad each path leading into a different room. Chrysalis frowned at seeing her path now having a smaller second path leading towards a tiny room with a baby bed in the middle. Grogar didn't even try with the room. It looked depressing, blond and utterly uncomfortable.
The night continued not so peacful, because cozy would scream every half hour. Either because she was hungry or just because she wanted to be held. Sometimes she wanted a specific person, sometimes she couldn't care less. Nocreature got any of their needed beauty sleep.
The restless nights soon transformed into tiring days. They all expected this task to be difficult, but they weren't prepared. Cozy screamed, she somehow always managed to get out of her crib, she sometimes refused to drink her milk, that Grogar teleprted there with his magic a.k.a stealing it from some store in ponyville.
