> Chapter 1: A Mysterious Book Gift

Taking place a couple of years before Princess Celestia had sent Twilight to Ponyville to make friends, it was another beautiful day in Canterlot, but today, was no ordinary day, cause today was a certain Unicorn's special day, of course, it was Twilight Sparkle's Graduation from Celestia's Magic School, and Twilight was absolutely ecstatic that she had aced her final year in the school, she was absolutely committed and determined to do well, ever since Princess Celestia made her a student at her own school, Twilight had been determined to make her teacher and the rest of her family proud, she had been working her tail off studying and learning in Celestia's School for gifted Unicorns, and she had always delivered on her expectations, and today was Twilight's Graduation along with a few other Unicorns, and Twilight was getting nervous about the graduation party, but her parents, Spike, her Brother and Celestia herself assured to her that as long as she manages to hold her nerves, everything was going to be okay, and sure enough, after all the Unicorns who graduated got their graduation hats and outfits and received them, the pressure and nerves seem to have disappeared and faded from Twilight.

After a few hours from when the graduation party was over, Twilight met up with her parents, Shining Armor, a young Spike and of course Princess Celestia herself.

"Oh my gosh, I still can't believe that I am graduated"

"Well, we're very proud of you Twily, we know how much this means to you"

"I always knew that there was something special about you Twilight Sparkle, and everytime I set you up for another challenge, you have always delivered.

"Well, I do try my best when it comes to studying and perfecting magic"

Princess Celestia then had remembered why she stook around with Twilight's Family throughout the Graduation party.

"Oh, and Twilight, i also wanted to give you this"

Princess Celestia then gave to Twilight on what seemed to be on old and slightly dusty book that looks like it hadn't been touched for ages, and Twilight was pretty confused on why Princess Celestia would give her that, but she then explained to Twilight what it was.

"This is an old book that I found in my library shelf not too long ago, I haven't tried using it for quite a while but when I was younger, I used to try and investigate and practice any kind of ancient spell that I could try and see if I could replicate them or make them work, there are a few that I haven't touched for years, but, considering that you are my prized Pupil and that you have both reached and exceeded my expectations with your abilities and hard work along with dedication, I wanted to give you this special ancient book about old spells to you, cause I think you could maybe find somethings in it that may help you out later down the road"

Twilight was speechless, she didn't know what to say, to her, this was the greatest gift that anypony could have given to her, and she was now bursting with excitement and happiness for it, she then hugged the Princess and thanked her.

"Thank you so much Princess Celestia, this is literally the best gift I could ask for, thank you for this wonderful gift"

Princess Celestia just smiled at her star Pupil.

"Anytime Twilight, and if you discover something that I haven't even discovered myself, please let me know, there are a couple of spells that I've somehow never been able to pull off successfully, maybe you'll have better luck with it"

"Well, thanks again"

After a little more of chatting, it was now time for Princess Celestia to leave and go back to her Castle.

"Well, i've got to go now, I have a lot of duties that I need to take care of back at the Castle"

Twilight and her family then waved at Princess Celestia as she flew away, and they then headed back to their home, and for the rest of the remaining hours of the day, Twilight opened the book Celestia gave her, and began to read and study on what these Mysterious text and spells, and what they could possibly do, Twilight was really heavily invested into it, and was really fascinated by what it could do, Twilight even skipped dinner with the rest of her family, and when all the other ponies were now asleep, she was still awake, trying to find out and explore what all these different spells could do.

And while throughout her time that she was experimenting, she found a few useful spells for her to use, for example, she figured out how create some Illusions around her house, and she also discovered a mini teleportation spell that could teleport her from one side of the room to another side, although she didn't experiment with it too much because it did take up a lot of energy from her to try and perform that specific spell despite how fun it was to move from one place to another, so, she decided to go on and see if she could try any other different spells, and after a little while of searching in the book, she found and came across one that seemed a bit odd to her, it had no description whatsoever on what it might do, or how much energy it would require, the only thing mentioned was the ancient text with steps, Twilight became very curious on what this mysterious spell could do, however, it was getting pretty late and Twilight was beginning to get tired.

"I probably should try out this spell tomorrow morning"

However, as Twilight tried to close the book and walk away, she began to have 2nd thoughts, her curiosity was now really beginning to get to her, and she really wanted to test it out.

"Well, on the other hand, I guess a little test on this mysterious spell won't harm, let's test this"

Twilight then began charging up her magic, read the text, and then began to perform whatever mysterious spell this was, however as Twilight began to perform it, she soon realized that this was no ordinary spell, and the ground of her room started to shake, some paintings and pictures were falling off of her ceilings, and it really almost seemed like an Earthquake was about to happen.

"Oh no, what have I done?"

Twilight then tried to use her magic to stop whatever spell she was trying to perform, but it was too late to stop it now, and it was in full force, and before even Twilight could move somewhere else where it shook less, she got knocked Unconscious by the velocity, but before she went out cold, she saw a small portal that was opening up.

Twilight Sparkle was now beginning to wake up from her unconsciousness with a few groans, but when she opened her eyes and looked around she realized something, she was not in her home, or in any place that she remembers of, the only thing that she could see was the pot of fire that was near her, everything else beyond was just pure darkness, Twilight was very confused about where she was and she had no idea how long she had been out for.

"Huh?"

Twilight then started to get up and look around.

"Where am I? How... how did I get here?"

Twilight then realized that as she ventured further on, this seemed like an undiscovered or abandoned dungeon, but as she walked on, she now couldn't see a thing in front of her.

"This is too dark now, I have to use my light spell"

Twilight then activated her light spell using her magic, and it did help her see what's in front of her a little bit, but it still wasn't too much help, nothertheless, Twilight knew she had to find a way to get out of whatever this place was, and after a little while of checking, she found a door, and she opened it with her magic and went inside, she then found another door just ahead of it, but this time, this one was locked.

"This door is locked! Is, is there a key around here somewhere?"

After a little while of searching, Twilight found a rock bolder in the corner of the room, and on top of it laid the key, Twilight then gave a sigh of relief.

"Phew, I thought I was going to be stuck in here"

Twilight then levitated and picked up the key using her magic, and then used it to unlock the door in front of her and open it.

"It's so.... dark, what IS this place?"

Twilight then walked for a bit until she found another door and opened it, and this time, it lead to a much bigger room, Twilight was at this point hoping that she might bump into somepony that could potentially help her out.

"Hello? Is anypony there?"

After a little while of searching again, Twilight ended up finding a note on one of the walls, and she decided to read it.

"Dear Diary,

I don't know what that spell did, but whatever it did, I passed out and woke up here! It's scary and dark, but I have my light spell, and i'm not going to get anywhere just sitting here. I think I hear something further inside, I hope it's friendly...

-Sunny Spiral"

Twilight then realized that there were other ponies who had performed the same spell that she did and ended up in her situation too.

"Looks like I wasn't the only one"

But she then wondered, how long ago were these letters written? And did any of them manage to escape from this place? However Twilight thought that she could think of these questions a little later, for now, she had to keep continuing on her journey, she then opened the next door, but this one seemed like it lead to a dead end, cause there were some metal bars in her way, however, as Twilight looked a bit deeper, she noticed that there was another door just at the opposite side of the bars.

"How can I get to there?"

Twilight then realized, one of the spells she learned from the ancient book she was given was a mini teleportation spell and realized she could just use it.

"Silly me, I studied a teleportation spell just not long ago, I can use it to get to the other side"

Twilight then charged up her magic, and then used her mini teleportation spell, and teleported to the other side of the room without any issues, she then tried to open the door with her magic, but realized that this one was locked too, she then started searching for a key again, and she found another one just on top of another boulder, she then used the key to open the door, and she then saw in front of her what seemed to be a long and endless hallway, Twilight sighed and groaned, and she then just decided to gallop until she reached a dead end, but, that didn't turn out to be the wisest of decisions, cause she ended up hitting her head against a door pretty hard.

"Ouch! That hurts! Okay, maybe I should just try to walk normally from now on instead of running"

Twilight then took a moment to catch her breath, and then used her magic to open the door, but when she got into the next room, she saw another door ahead of her, but this time, there was a hole and pit in front of her, and some kind of mysterious red crystal right on the opposite side, but whatever it was, Twilight then began to realize that it was cancelling out her magic, and now she couldn't teleport to the other side.

"What's that.....Crystal? I... I can't teleport across!"

Twilight then began to freak out a bit, but after a little while, she then realized that if she was going to make it to the other side of where the door was, she was going to have to jump for this one, Twilight was dreading this, cause she never once practiced her jumps, as a Unicorn, she never really took the importance of trying to be a bit Athletic and thought that her magic and abilities were going to be enough to help her out, but this situation proved her otherwise, and now, she had to jump.

"Okay, here goes nothing!"

Twilight then gave her all for her jump, and she JUST managed to make it across to the other side, much to the Unicorn's relief.

"Phew! That was not easy even if it was a small jump, I guess there is some importance when it comes to athletic abilities after all"

She then went ahead to the door and her Magic was beginning to return back to her, and she then opened the door, and this time, there were stairs that seemed like they would lead to another floor above, Twilight then began to feel a bit encouraged.

"Okay, at least I'm making progress here"
> Chapter 3: Where is Twilight?

It was now the next morning in Canterlot, and it was a sunny and beautiful day out, and Spike, Shining Armor and The two parents have begun to wake up, and all of them got up a bit early cause they were planning to surprise Twilight and give her breakfast in bed.

"Aw, Twilight is going to be so happy when she finds out we're giving her favorite meal to her in bed"

"Let's not get ahead of ourselves Spike, Twilight might still be a bit tired, I believe she was still up when it was time for all of us to go to bed, seemed like she was really invested into that book"

After they had made Twilight's favorite meal, they all then went into her room to go in slowly and surprise her, however, when they opened the room, they then immediately realized something, Twilight was not there, and she was nowhere to be seen in the entire room, this of course started to send panic waves to her parents, but Shining Armor was not ready to freak out yet.

"Okay guys, let's not panic at the moment, it's possible she could still be somewhere else around this house, it is pretty big after all"

Spike nodded as he and Shining then began to search around the other rooms as Twilight's parents waited for their answers. 

After a little while of searching and turning the house upside down, Shining and Spike were now beginning to freak out and realize that this was serious.

"Twilight is missing! She's gone!"

But all of the ponies were so confused, how and where could have Twilight gone, cause the doors to the main entrance of their home was locked, and it wasn't like there were any escape routes for Twilight, it was almost as if she had just simply vanished, without a trace, and gone like the wind, however, Shining then looked at what was on Twilight's desk and saw that her book was left wide open, and it was left open at a particular page with a particular spell, Flash couldn't understand what it was or what it meant, but he had a feeling that maybe this particular spell could be the reason for Twilight's vanishing.

"Hmm, Spike, can you send a letter to Princess Celestia asking her to come here as quickly as she can?"

"Sure thing Shining Armor!"

Spike then quickly wrote a letter with a paper and quill explaining the vanishing of Twilight and her disappearance, and sent it to Princess Celestia, and after 5 minutes, to everypony's surprise, Princess Celestia immediately came to their house.

"I came here as quickly as I could, and I got your letter Spike, what do you think could have happened to her?"

Shining Armor then replied back to Princess Celestia with his idea.

"I'm not sure, but I have a feeling that the particular page left open from her book with a particular spell might have something to do with it"

Shining Armor then showed Princess Celestia what the page of the book was, and she then started reading the ancient text that was on the book, but when she finished reading, that's when she realizes that she had made a big mistake and that Twilight could be in grave danger.

"Oh no! No, no, no! I don't think she can survive that!"

"W-what do you mean by that your highness?"

"I mean, I know where Twilight is now"

"You do? Well, let's then go get her!"

"We can't find that location however"

"What do you mean by that?"

"I mean, this particular spell that Twilight Sparkle had casted is a dangerous spell that teleports her into a mysterious dungeon that no pony has discovered from above, and no pony before had ever gotten out of"

Twilight's parents then felt like they were going to faint, and Twilight Velvet looked like she was about to have a panic attack, and Night Light tried his best to keep his wife calm.

"I had no idea that the description page for this spell had been ripped off, if I had known I would have warned her! God Damn it!"

"It's okay Princess Celestia, it's not really your fault"

"But this is a fault of mine that could end up costing her life!"

Spike then tried to cheer and lighten things up to give the other ponies in her family hope

"But Twilight is a smart pony, she knows how to get herself out of difficult situations, if there is a way out of that dungeon, I'm sure Twilight can find a way, plus, if she's only going to be lost or trapped in a dungeon, there is hope she can make it out"

Princess Celestia then just sighed at Spike's hopeful comments trying to cheer everypony up, but she then lifted Spike's chin up and told him and the others.

"The dungeon is not the only thing Twilight has to be afraid or careful of"

The others in the family were pretty confused by Celestia's comments, and were really beginning to get worried for their purple Unicorn.

"What do you mean by that? What's in there for our daughter?"

Princess Celestia just shivered of the thought and tried her best not to think about it, but it was impossible not to, and she decided that she didn't want to give the rest of Twilight's family any more worry than they need to.

"Now's probably not the best time to tell you all, I don't want to put any more stress on you that you don't need, all I can say is now, that I can see Twilight's cutie mark next to this spell book, and as long as that Cutie mark still remains on this page, then I know for sure that she is alive, however, if that mark ever happens or so to disappear, it could either mean she found a way to escape the dungeon, or...."

"Or what Princess Celestia?"

Princess Celestia really didn't want to scare and tell the others this, but she knew they were eager and wanted to know and she then decided to tell them.

"Or she ends up getting succumbed by a Black misted creature known as the Miasma"


> Chapter 4: A Near Fall

Meanwhile, Twilight Sparkle had now found herself in a room upstairs where there were two torches.

"Oh good, at least I can see a bit more clearly now"

She then opened the next door in front of her however, and this one was now completely dark, which meant that Twilight had to activate her light spell again as she continued to gallop on, however, she didn't really pay attention to where she was looking, and she nearly fell down from a pit, but she just managed to realize quick enough to plant her front two hooves on the ground, however, she was now in big trouble,  cause she was now hanging over an edge of a pit, she started to panic and Twilight knew that with most of her bodyweight being inclined downwards, her grip with her hooves was not going to last long, and sure enough after a few seconds, she was starting to lose her grip, and she tried climbing back up, but that just made her hooves slip even more, and now she had only one hoof hanging on for dear life, as Twilight looked below, she didn't want to think or imagine how deep it was.

"No, no, no, come on!"

Twilight knew she had to think of something different fast, cause she was going to drop any moment now, and then, what she thought of next was a little bit unorthodox, but there was nothing really else she could have done in this particular situation, she decided to use her magic to lift her one hoof up across to the other side, and it took Twilight a lot of energy to try to pull it off, but she somehow JUST managed to pull it off, and she was now back to safety, Twilight gave a sigh of relief and then took a few moments to catch her breath, after that, Twilight then decided to look and be more cautious the next time she was walking or running, and then, she saw a gap in between her and the next stone that she had to jump to.

"Oh, I think I can manage that!"

Twilight then did manage to jump across safely this time and continue on, she then opened the next door, and she saw another torch in a large room.

"Alright, stay calm. There HAS to be a way out of here"

Twilight then found another note or letter on top of a boulder, and she decided to read it.

"Dusty Tome's Log Entry 1

I have no idea where I am. After casting that spell I found under chapter 3, I found myself here. It is a dark and dismal place, and I hope to find my way out of here soon. It would be too cold were it not for the Ocassional Torch that light these decrepit ruins. I believe I will explore and see what turns up"

"Okay, another pony was here it seems"

Twilight then was about to head over to the next door, but then noticed that it had a lock on it, she knew what that meant, and she started looking for a key around the room, checking from the rocks to the boulders, she finally found it under a pile of rocks and she then used the key to open the door, as she looked at what was inside, she saw that there was a door that was blocked off by some metal bars, but when she looked at her right, she saw a lever, she then decided to pull it and the metal bars were removed, she then opened the door, but then saw that there was a massive Gap between her and the next door ahead of her.

"That's too big! Nopony can make a jump like that!"

Twilight then tried to think what else could she do, but then she came up with an idea.

"Can I teleport myself that far?"

Twilight then charged up her magic, and then she tried teleporting to the opposite side, and, to her surprise, she was able to do it successfully, and she then opened the next door, which led to another staircase upstairs.

"Okay, I have to be going somewhere with this!"

Twilight Sparkle had now then found herself in another room where there were multiple torches lighting the way, Twilight then followed them carefully as they led her to another door, she then opened it, and saw another red crystal in the center, which basically meant that she couldn't teleport or use her magic around that specific area, Twilight then looked around, and she eventually found a door on the far top right side of the room, however, it had a lock on it, which meant that she had to find a key, she carefully moved around the area as well, seeing that there was another big ditch in front of her, she then however found another door in the far top left side of the room, and that one was unlocked, she then opened the door, and it led her to another room, and she saw what seemed like a jail, that was locked by some metal bars, however, when she looked a bit closer inside, she noticed that there was a note inside of it.

"That note can maybe help me find a way out of here! But how can I unlock these metal bar- Woah!"

Twilight then immediately caught herself from falling into another ditch that was right in front of her.

"Gosh, I need to be extremely careful when I'm walking around here!"

Twilight then continued on her path in that room, and saw a few boulders, and then when she turned to the other corner,  she saw another gap, but there was something on the other side, so, Twilight decided to charge up her magic, and then used it to teleport herself to the other stone, and sure enough, Twilight was right, there was a lever hidden there, Twilight then flipped the lever, and then charged her magic back up, and then teleported herself back to the other side of the room that she was on, however, as Twilight was about to continue in her way, she saw a black misted orb or creature of somewhat appear just a few meters ahead of her, and it looked menacing and terrifying, Twilight then gasped, and then immediately hid herself behind the boulder with a few deep breaths, hoping that whatever that thing was, it did not spot her or see her, after a little while, Twilight slowly peeked out of the bolder, and then noticed that it was no longer around, Twilight then slowly came out of hiding and looked around.

"Wha... what WAS that?!"

Twilight then noticed that the bars were unlocked as she expected, and then saw the note and began to read it.

"There's something here! I can't even describe it, the thing has no real shape. We barely got away from it. Silver Eclipse, as always, is being the confident one and is helping me keep in good spirits. It's hard to believe she's younger than me, but less afraid than I am. I have to be brave too. I have to be brave as Silver.

Crescent Aurora" 

That note had now given Twilight the chills and really began to make her stressed out and worried, not only was she now trying to escape this mysterious dungeon, she was now also trying to escape and survive from some kind of monster too, Twilight at least finally then found the key on a boulder, and took it with her by her magic, but on her way to go and use it on the door, she then found another note on one of the walls of the large room, and began to read it.

"Dear Diary,

I still can't find a way out of here. Worse, I keep hearing sounds in the distance... movement, and growls. Is somepony else here? I've got to keep moving forward, but I'm so scared. It sounds as if it is right nearby. Whatever the sound is, I have to keep moving...

Sunny Spiral"

"How many ponies ended up here?"

Twilight was beginning to realize that the notes started to become more and more frequent as she continued, so it turns out there were a group of ponies that ended up in this place before her, now, the only question she had remaining was, did any of them manage to escape or are still around that could maybe help her? Cause that was the only bit of hope that Twilight was running on at this point, Twilight then used the key to open up the locked door, and it then led to another staircase above as Twilight began to walk on them.

"I hope I'm getting closer and not just going deeper into this dungeon"
> Chapter 6: Some Tricky Tasks

Twilight Sparkle had now reached another door and she opened it, she then saw a very long hallway it seemed, with a square ditch in the center, Twilight then looked around, and very quickly found another door next to her, she then opened it and saw a red crystal in the center, with what seemed to be some kind of parkour and balance challenge, only difference was, if she messed up a single step and fell down, it would surely be her doom, Twilight was a bit nervous, but then took a deep breath, and then attempted to complete it and see what was across the other side, and Twilight then jumped to one boulder, and then tried to move to the other side which was very narrow slowly, but she then almost lost her balance on one of them before she just managed to save herself and reach the other boulder.

"Careful.... careful..."

Twilight then jumped on to the next one, and then, she saw a lever that was on the wall, and she decided to flip the lever, not really knowing yet what it would do, Twilight then carefully went all the way back to the hallway with a sigh of relief, she then noticed that there were some metal bars that were blocking a specific door, and realized that there were three layers, one of them was removed.

"Hmmm, so, that means there has to be two other levers somewhere around this place, but, where could they be?"

Twilight then saw another door that was nearby her, and she decided to open it, but, she instantly regretted that she did, cause the moment she did, she saw that Monster creature again from the distance, she gasped, and immediately went back to the hallway, hoping that it has once again not spotted her, after fifteen seconds, Twilight then knew she was in the clear.

"Well, I now know that whatever that thing is, is in that room, I'm going to come back to that later"

Twilight then decided to continue looking around, and she then eventually found another door that was near where the metal bars were, she opened it, and she saw some rocks that were laid in between ditches, but knew she couldn't make either of those jumps, and she saw some kind of purple crystal that was making some kind of screeching or screaming noise, it was not a really a pleasant sound for Twilight to hear, but she knew she had to shrug it off, she then tested if she could teleport without the interference of the purple crystal, and it turned out she could, but not only that, it almost seemed like it had some kind of "Magic Replenishing" effect, cause now she was able to teleport from side to another side pretty easily.

"This crystal... I can feel my magic returning!"

Then, once Twilight did her final teleport to the other side, she found another lever, and then flipped it, and she then teleported all the way back to the hallway with pretty much no problems or energy required.

"Huh, that one was pretty easy"

Twilight then checked at the bars, and realized now that there was only one layer of metal bars remaining on keeping that door blocked, and unfortunately for Twilight, she knew exactly where she had to go to flip it, and she knew that if her last task was easy, this one wasn't going to be that, and she then knew she would probably have to come face to face with it at some point, which made her terrified, cause she had pretty much no defenses to her name, or any kind of spell that could help her against a Creature or Monster like this, Twilight gulped, but then headed back to that room that she left a while ago, and then from the distance while peeking, she checked to see if that thing was still lurking around the area, and unfortunately for her, it still was, however, she noticed then that it only came around that area at a specific certain point of time, and she studied it's movement, she then knew that as soon as that monster was not around the center of that hallway of that area in the room, she had to make a break for it inside and try to find that lever that would unlock the final layer of the metal bars of her door, she then realized the gap from the ditch to make it to the center was too big, which  meant that she had to teleport to that side, so as soon as the Monster had left, Twilight then began recharging her magic, and then she teleported across to the center of that hallway in the room, but she heard some kind of growling noises coming from around that area, so she knew that the creature was still not far away from her and could have come back at any moment, so she had to move at a fast pace, Twilight however then realized that it was now a maze, and she had to look for each side to find the lever that she was looking for.

"Oh, you have got to be kidding me"

Twilight then carefully searched through each of the sides, one at a time, while also carefully watching her back and around the area, to make sure to hide in case the monster got near her location, she could still hear it's faint growls from a little distance, she then found a door in one of the sides, but then realized that it was locked, which meant that she had to find a key.

"Are you SERIOUS!?"

Twilight's Frustrating yell though got the attention of the monster, and it started heading towards Twilight's direction, Twilight gasped as she tried hiding behind a boulder, luckily, she realized the monster hadn't spotted her, which gave her a sigh of relief as she continued her search, finally, at the final corner, she found a room with a lot of torches, and then found the key on top of a boulder.

"Oh thank God, now I can use this to unlock that door I saw earlier from the other side!"

She then immediately sprinted to the other side before the monster could notice, and she then used the key to unlock the door, and sure enough, there was the lever on one of it's walls, Twilight then flipped the lever, and she knew that had to be the last one to help her move on, but she then hid behind the door, and then recharged her magic cause she knew that she still had to teleport back to the hallway cause of the Large gap in between the rooms, and she also took a moment to catch her breath, and after that, she finally decided to move on and go, and she then saw the monster was nowhere in her sight, and she then teleported back across, and now she was back at the original hallway that she was at earlier, and sure enough, she found that all of the metal bars that were locking up that particular door, where all now removed, and she was about to open it and continue on, when she found another note that was stuck on the wall just before the door.

"Well, I might as well read this before I continue on, I don't want to take any unnecessary risks"

She then began to read the note.

"Dusty Tome's Log Entry 2

A malevolent entity roams the halls of this cursed place. It is unlike anything I have ever seen, like a concentration of pure evil. It is enough to drive one mad, knowing it could be lurking around any particular corner, and I fear what would happen to me if it were to find me. Escape is now a matter of survival."

Twilight was a bit unamused by the note though.

"Well, I have already known that for a while, but thanks anyway"

Twilight then had opened the door, and it led to another Staircase upstairs.

"Geez, how many floors are there? And am I even getting closer to getting out of here?

Twilight Sparkle had now been in a room where there was another torch lighting the way, and immediately as she looked around, she found another note, and began to read it.

"Dear Diary,

It's here... I can hear it nearby. It's after me. I don't know what to do. I can only hide and run for so long. No spell I've tried has had any effect. I have to hide, and I have to run. There's nothing else I can do. If I don't, it'll catch me. Somepony save me, please...

Sunny Spiral"

Twilight then felt pity for whoever that Unicorn was, and she began to feel quite frightened herself too, cause with each passing note she has found, it seemed like each one where leading to something that was not very hopeful or promising, nothertheless, she then found a key next to the boulder.

"Okay, so I assume there is a locked door around here somewhere"

Twilight then after a little while of searching, found the door and then used the key to unlock it and open it, when Twilight went inside, she saw a gap between her platform and the next platform, and the gap was too big for her to jump, which meant she had to teleport again.

"Gosh, all this teleporting is making me more and more tired, hope I don't have to do too much of that from now on"

Twilight then teleported across to the other platform, and saw that there was a room she could walk into, and noticed that there was another door, that had a red crystal near it, along with it being locked up by iron bars, which meant that she had to find a lever to unlock the metal bars so she could go through the door, Twilight then looked at the right side of the room, but only managed to find a dead end there with a ditch so deep that she couldn't even see what was below down there, but she felt like she might have seen a glimpse of a few skeletons, but she wasn't a hundred percent sure, and it was probably best to not think about what possibly could have happened down there, Twilight then went to the far left side of the room, and she found the lever there, Twilight then flipped the lever which opened the metal bars, but also, the EXACT moment she did that, the black monster showed up just in the opposite side of the hallway, Twilight gasped as it started heading towards her.

"No, no, no, no, noo!"

Twilight didn't know what to do, cause it seemed like the only choice she had to try to escape from it, was to make a beeline for the door, so, that was exactly what she did, and she tried to run as fast as she could away from it.

"Gotta hide, gotta hide!"

Twilight then opened the next door that was in front of her very quickly, and continued running, but at this point, she was close to being out of breath, and her running was beginning to become slower, Twilight however then found a boulder, and immediately hid behind that, hoping that the monster didn't see her go behind it, Twilight then was breathing in a panicking way, and couldn't even catch her breath, she was too afraid to, she honestly thought at that point, it was only going to be a matter of time before she fainted or passed out from fear, especially considering she could STILL hear the monster nearby, however, after a little while, the monster's noises seem to have stopped, and the coast then finally seemed clear, Twilight then gave a massive sigh of relief, and laid her whole body against the boulder now trying to catch her breath, she knew that this wasn't good for her mental or physical health, and Twilight still felt shivers and shook from that experience, she thought when she was spotted by the monster, that she would be a goner for sure, after a couple of minutes, Twilight finally got up and continued on her search.

"I-i don't want to be here anymore, please tell me I'm near the exit"

Twilight then noticed that there was a door that was locked behind metal bars, however this time, unlike the others, there was no red crystal, which meant that she could teleport in there, which she did, and then she opened the door in front of her, which it lead to a fiery hallway that had a lot of torches, and next to a boulder, she saw a key, which she grabbed and levitated, but she then saw that she also had to jump across to the other platform from the gap while doing it, Twilight didn't give any complaints however, and she jumped across with the key in her possession, and then used the key to unlock the door that was in front of her, when she opened it, she found another small room, and after a little bit of searching, she found another note on the wall, and decided to read it.

"We had another close encounter with the creature. I can't tell if Silver's actually being brave about this, or is just acting that way so that I won't worry. I told her that together we can make it out. We can overcome anything the two of us. When her life is at stake, I will always do whatever I can to ensure her safety.

Crescent Aurora"

Twilight was really relieved to finally have found something positive that was said from the note.

"Thank goodness, finally a somewhat positive note"

Twilight then opened the next door in front of her that she saw, and saw that it lead to another staircase upstairs, and she continued on walking up.

"I hope I don't have to do anymore running, cause that was a traumatic experience"

Twilight Sparkle had now then entered a room where there was another door in front of her with a red crystal near it, and she saw there were also metal bars blocking the entrance, however, she then saw levers from her left and right.

"Do... do all I have to do is flip the levers?"

Twilight then went ahead and flipped both of the levers, and sure enough, both layers of metal bars were now removed and she could open the next door.

"Well that one was pretty easy"

As Twilight headed on to the next door,a very dark room laid ahead, and Twilight knew she had to use her light spell again to see a bit ahead of her, she didn't want another experience where she almost slipped and fell to her doom, Twilight then saw that there were two paths that she could take.

"Hmm, which one should I go to first? I guess I can try the one that is currently closest to me"

Twilight then went to the left path and saw that there was a gap to another platform, in which she had to jump across to, which she did manage to pull off, and when she looked around, she saw another lever, and decided to flip it, although not quite certain what that specific lever would do yet.

"I hope whatever that lever was doesn't release or trigger a monster, at least my jumping skills are beginning to improve"

Twilight Sparkle then jumped back across, and came back to the room with two paths.

"Okay, now I'll try the right one"

Twilight then looked at the right path and saw that there was another gap she had to jump across from to another platform, which she did, and when she looked around, she saw a boulder that had a key on top of it, Twilight then picked up and levitated the key as she jumped back.

"Okay, so that means there has to be a locked door around here somewhere"

As Twilight started searching around the room, she eventually found a secret passage that led to what something looked like a red crystal in the distance, as Twilight got closer, she saw another gap distance that she had to jump to get to that side, she then did that too, and sure enough, she then saw the locked door right in front of her, and unlocked it with the key and then opened it.

"Hmm, that one was also pretty easy"

Twilight then opened the door, and found another room which had a lot of torches lighting the place, Twilight then looked around to see if she could find anything that maybe could potentially help her against whatever that monster or creature was, she knew she had to find it's weakness, but the problem was, she couldn't think or figure out anything that could potentially be its weakness, Twilight then found another note on a boulder, and began to read it.

"Dusty Tome's Log Entry 3

I broke my leg jumping over some debris earlier. I've made a splint for it, but I can no longer get up to a full gallop anymore. This of course means I can't run from the Miasma searching for me, should it find me. I'm so close to figuring out something to do against it, but I need more time. I just need more time, and I haven't got it"

Twilight then thought about the note he had said.

"So, that monster is called a Miasma?"

Twilight then continued looking around the room, and she then found another note on another boulder, and decided to read it, however this one, was a lot more distressing.

"Dear Diary

There's no way out, there's no way out, there's no way out, there's no way out.

Celestia help me please!

Sunny Spiral"

"Oh my goodness!"

Twilight was now really beginning to worry and get terrified now, this note seemed like it was an act of a desperate measure from somepony who was losing hope, and at the moment, it seemed like Twilight was beginning to lose hope herself too, cause if there REALLY wasn't anyway out of this place, then, what is the point of her even trying to get out of the place, and she should just let the monster take her and finish her off, but Twilight still continued on searching, she then found another key on the third boulder and picked up and levitated it, then used it unlock the door she saw in front of her, and head into the next room, and when she did, she saw a large gap in the center, but with lots of platforms that had the screaming purple Crystals in front of it and saw that there was a lever on each one of them.

"So, do all I have to do is teleport to all of these platforms and flip all the levers?"

Twilight then flipped all the levers that were on all the platforms as she teleported quickly from one platform to the next, and after she did all of that, she then teleported to the center where she saw a door there that was now unlocked from it's metal bars, Twilight then teleported to the door, and opened it, and  she then saw another staircase that was leading upstairs, as she decided to take it.

"Well, at least the challenges that I just did here on this floor was quite easy, and I haven't spotted the monster again yet"

Twilight had now entered into a room with a torch in the center, along with MULTIPLE doors around the area, and Twilight now had to make a choice on which one she wanted to go through first.

"Hmm, there are five doors, which one should I go into?"

So, she decided to look around for all of the doors, and she noticed that the first three doors were all unlocked and she could open without any problem, but the other two were locked, which meant that, she probably had to find two different keys around the three unlocked doors, Twilight then decided to look and peek through each unlocked door to see what they would hold, and the first one had a ditch in the center with a platform that had a red crystal above it, and was covered by iron bars, which basically meant she couldn't access whatever was past that, and that she would need to find a lever somewhere elsewhere, so, she then decided to go into the 2nd door, but it was probably the darkest room that she had encountered so far.

"So... dark in here..."

Twilight then at this point was only hoping that this room wouldn't lead her straight to the Miasma, but as Twilight got deeper into the room, she then saw a crack above her, which was leaking a bit of sunlight into the dungeon, Twilight gasped at the sight.

"Is that.... sunlight?"

Twilight knew then exactly what that meant... she was actually close, she wasn't that far away from the surface anymore, Twilight began to feel a little excited, but made sure to calm herself down cause she still had to find a way out of this place, Twilight then noticed that there was a Jail that was blocked off by metal bars, but there was no red crystal, which meant she could teleport in and see what was in there, so she then charged up her magic, and then teleported inside of it, and as Twilight got inside, she immediately found a note on a boulder, and she then read it out loud, however, this one, was a much more tragic one.

"She's gone

Silver Eclipse is gone.

That horrible thing got to her. It surrounded her, and she then vanished into thin air, like she never existed.

I promised I would get her out of here. I promised her, and failed.

Crescent Aurora"

"Oh no..."

Twilight felt quite saddened to hear and read a note like this, and she only hoped that the other ponies that she found notes from, managed to get out of here and Silver Eclipse was the only lost soul, Twilight then looked around, and she then found the lever that she was looking for and flipped it, and she then also found a key on another boulder on the left side of the jail, and she then charged up her magic, then threw the key out of the jail, and then teleported out of the jail herself, and then took the key with her by her levitating spell, and then used it to unlock one of the doors back at her starting point, and she then went on to open the door, and there was another lever, Twilight then must have thought that there must be multiple layers of metal bars blocking of that entrance then as she flipped the lever, Twilight then went on to open the next door that was ahead of her, but when she did, she saw the Miasma very close by and she gasped, and then made sure she was not within it's radius of vision, and once he started moving away from the area, Twilight realized that the Miasma was moving around the area of that room with a specific pattern.

"Okay, if I can follow that Miasma's Pattern while I keep moving, then it probably won't be able to spot me, and I won't be caught off guard"

But as Twilight was moving around the area, she realized she then got a little too close to the Miasma, and it ended up noticing and spotting her, and then started chasing her with it's menacing purple eyes.

"Noooo!"

Twilight then tried to run as fast as she could out of the room, and back into the main torch room, and then hid behind the door, and once again, her panic breathing was beginning to come back, everytime that Miasma chases her, it's like her life flashed before her very eyes, but when she then realized that it seemed like the Miasma did not follow her out of the room, she gave a massive sigh of relief, then rested for about thirty seconds, before attempting to go back there and try again, she was not sure how much more she was able to handle of this stress and pressure, and thought that at some point, she's going to get caught off guard and finished off if she doesn't get out of this dungeon as quickly as possible, if there is a way out that is, Twilight then decided to beeline for the door, and just sprint around the area until she found something, she then found a key, and then used her levitating spell, hoping that she would not get spotted by the monster, and somehow, she didn't, and she got out of the room with the key that she needed, she then used the key to open that last missing door, and noticed that there was a lever there, and she then flipped the lever, and Twilight then knew that was probably the last lever that she needed to flip to unlock that one particular room that was blocked off by metal bars, she then headed back, and sure enough, all of the metal bars were now gone, and she was free to jump across to the other platform, which she of course managed to do.

"Hmm, I'm actually beginning to get quite good at jumping"

Twilight then opened the door that was in front of her, and it led to another staircase going upstairs, which, Twilight was relieved that for at least a little while she didn't have to do any big challenges.

"Oh thank goodness, just get me out of this floor!"

Twilight had now entered into another room upstairs, but she had a feeling that the Miasma was now REALLY onto her and could appear at any moment now, Twilight then noticed ahead of her, that a gate was locked, and as she got closer to it, she then noticed that there was a lever quite conveniently near her.

"Oh, okay, this is easy"

However, as soon as Twilight flipped the lever and the metal bars were removed, the Miasma appeared right behind her, and Twilight nearly tripped up on herself in fear and immediately tried to run away as fast as she could.

"Nooo!"

Twilight then immediately opened the door she saw in front of her, and jumped over a gap in the center to get the other platform, she tried anything to try to get away from the Miasma, but she was also now really beginning to get tired and fatigue was now starting to build in around her body as she was running slower.

"Go, go, go!"

She then just continued running forward until she saw from the distance that there was a platform across that had a big gap in the center just before it.

"Too far to jump!"

Twilight knew that the gap was too big for her, and that if she had tried to teleport across, it would take too long and the Miasma would for sure catch her by then, she then saw another room to her left however, and immediately darted towards that, however, she then came to an ACTUAL dead end with only sunlight leaking from above it.

"No! Dead end!"

Twilight then heard and saw the monster coming closer and closer, and when she saw it, Twilight then just at this Point closed her eyes, accepting that this would be her fate, but then, with a one eye peak, she then noticed something quite bizarre, the Miasma, actually looked terrified to go after her.

"H-huh?"

Twilight then saw that the Miasma was having second thoughts about going after her, and then simply just left with a loud growl, Twilight then began to have a theory.

"Was it... the sunlight? Is it afraid of it?"

Twilight then waited just for a little while longer to make sure that the Miasma would not come back for her, and at this point, she was now really beginning to get hungry too, her stomach was growling and she pretty much was now running on fumes in terms of her energy.

"God damn it, I should have taken my meal my last night, maybe I would have had more energy now!"

Twilight then slowly walked out, and then saw that the Miasma was nowhere to be found, and realized that she could teleport safely to the other side of the platform now, which she managed to do successfully, she then opened the door that was right in front of her, and took a moment to rest for a bit, Twilight then went into the room, and saw it was rather a bit large, and then, she found another note on the boulder, and decided to then read it, and sure enough, the note confirmed her suspicions.

"Dusty Tome's Log Entry 4

Leg still hurts. Barely got away the last time the Miasma found me. Don't think I'm going to make it. But I learned so much. The creature is a being of shadow. Sunlight may drive it back, or even maybe destroy it. A lot of good that does me here in this underground Chamber. So hungry, wish I had food. Not that it will matter soon"

"I was right! It doesn't like the sunlight! And yeah, i'm with you too Dusty Tome, I wish I had food right now too"

Twilight then found another note on one of the walls, and decided to read it too, however, after reading it, she then realized another one of the ponies who have written these letters has fallen.

"Can't run anymore

Getting closer

It's over

Sunny Spirl"

Twilight must have thought that the Miasma must have finished her off before she even got a chance to spell her name correctly, nothertheless, Twilight then found a Key as well on top of one of the rocks, and then used it to unlock and open the door right in front of her, Twilight then continued on her path, and she then opened the next door in front of her, which led hear to another Staircase heading upstairs, Twilight gladly trotted her way up.

"Okay, I'm seeing more cracks of sunlight, I surely can't be far away from the surface now"

Twilight had now arrived in a room, where there was a large crater ditch in the center, so she walked around it, and she then saw three metal bars that were blocking the entrance to another door that had a red crystal hanging above it.

"So, I have to search for another three levers again? Yay..."

Twilight then continued searching around the room, and she eventually then found an unlocked door.

"Okay, this must lead to where the three levers are"

Twilight then looked inside the room and walked in, but when she then looked left and right and saw the long hallways in front of her, Twilight then soon realized that she was in a maze.

"Oh, not a Maze!"

Twilight then continued looking on for her path, and looked at each corner, hoping that she might find something, but as she walked on, from the corner of her eye, Twilight saw the Miasma coming from one of the corners, she then gasped and immediately went to the other corner, hoping that the Miasma had not spotted her yet, Twilight then found an unlocked door and opened it, and inside was a lever, and she then flipped it.

"Okay, that's one down, two to go, but I have to find them while also making sure I don't get spotted by the Miasma, great, just great, they really wanna make this challenging now huh?"

Twilight stayed in the room for a bit longer, cause she heard the Miasma's growls not being too far away from her, once it started to become more and more faint, Twilight then finally decided to leave the room and continue searching for the other levers, Twilight then saw some metal bars blocking her path, and decided to just then charge up her magic, and  teleport past them using it, then as Twilight continued on her path, looking around, she then ran into head first another set of metal bars blocking her path.

"Ow, my head"

Twilight then was beginning to feel really dizzy and a bit dazed.

"I better take it easy, having a head injury while also not having any energy left and being hungry is not ideal"

Twilight then charged up her magic again, and then teleported again, and then, she then found a door in the left corner, and opened it, and it had another mini room inside it, she then started to look around it, and she then soon found a note on a boulder, and she then began to read it, but she then realized that yet another soul was lost.

"It's close, very close. I'm scared to move from here, but It doesn't matter now. None of it matters now. I wish I didn't have to do this alone. But I can't deal with the loneliness anymore.

It's right outside this door. These will be my last words, Silver, I'll be with you again soo"

Twilight then realized that she didn't even get to finish writing her letter before the Miasma had gotten to her, Twilight then took a small moment of silence for Crescent Aurora, and she felt a bit touched, but she then quickly continued looking around, and she then noticed a lever in the corner of the room, and then flipped it.

"Okay, now I only need one more!"

Twilight then decided to hide for a moment in that room, since she could hear the Miasma getting near that room, then once she heard it again become more and more faint, she then left the room and continued on her way, and after a little while, she found the final door and opened it, and sure enough, the final lever was inside, and she then managed to flip it.

"Okay, that should now remove any of the metal bars that were blocking that door's path"

Twilight then left the room, and galloped her way back to where she remembered where the blocked door was, and sure enough, when she looked at it, all of he metal bars had now been removed, and she could now open the door with her magic freely, which she then did, and Twilight then noticed that she found another note on one of the walls near it, this time from Dusty Tome, but this time, he couldn't even write his final log entry before he got interrupted, Twilight then realized what that meant.

"No.... nopony has actually escaped this place, have they? And I'm the only one in here"

Twilight then opened the door that was in front of her, and as she continued, she noticed more and more cracks of Sunlight coming through the roof of the walls, Twilight couldn't believe it, then, it lead to another Staircase upstairs, but this time, for the first time throughout her journey into this, Twilight actually felt that she might just be able to escape this terrible place as she continued on her way on walking upstairs, and she felt like she wanted to sing, but didn't really have the energy to do so at the moment, she really felt like she had hope now, and she was determined now to get the job done, and do whatever it took to escape this dungeon.

"Okay Twilight, you can do this! There's way more frequent cracks of sunlight now, I have to be extremely close to the Surface now, maybe just one or two more floors and I'll finally reach there!"

Twilight then arrived at a room where she saw a torch ahead of her, along with yet another crack of sunlight showing from the roof again, Twilight knew then that this HAD to be the Final Floor before reaching the surface.

"Okay... sunlight, I can run back here if I need to"

Twilight however then knew that the Miasma had to have been near her, and wouldn't let her try to escape, Twilight then carefully continued on her path, until in front of her, she saw another area that was blocked off by some metal bars and had a red crystal above it.

"Okay, i probably need to find a lever to open these bars"

Twilight then saw another path next to her, and she then decided to go there and so if she could find anything, she then saw a large gap opening full of sunlight in a corner that was covered by metal bars.

"Woah! I am near the surface!"

Twilight was then so relieved and happy that she was so close to getting out of the dungeon, Finally this nightmare experience would be over for her, but she knew that she still had to find a way out of here, knowing she couldn't teleport past because of those red crystals above them, Twilight then looked around the area, and noticed then that to her left side, there was a lever to flip, but Twilight was a bit confused.

"Wait, if I flip this lever, will that unlock the metal bars I saw earlier from that unreachable room? Or will it unlock the metal bars that are covering the sunlight, or both?"

Twilight was not sure, but she knew she had to flip it because there was no other choice, since there was a dead end right in front of her.

"Okay then, here goes!"

Twilight then flipped the lever, and sure enough, those metal bars blocking off the Sunlight area were unlocked, but when Twilight was on her to head over to see if the other metal bars were unlocked in the previous room, the Miasma came in front of her, Twilight then gasped again.

"Nooo!"

Twilight then ran away as fast as she could to the corner of the room where the sunlight was, but there was one problem, it was a dead end, she had nowhere to go, and the monster was now beginning to corner her and time and options were running out for Twilight, however, she then noticed something, she was near the sunlight, and she was right next to the lever, a wild thought came to her head then, but one that she thought might have a chance of working.

"Wait... if I can teleport to the other side of the room of where the lever is... can I trap the Miasma in this Sunlight? Well, I don't have any other options! That's it you Monster! Come on! Come on!"

Twilight then started taunting the monster, which made it even more furious to go after her, and she then charged up her magic, and teleported at just the LAST possible second before the Miasma could surround her, and she then immediately flipped the lever, and she then immediately heard an agonizing and screeching growl from the Miasma, she turned around, and literally saw it was being burned alive and disentegrated by the sunlight, it became smaller and smaller until eventually, it turned to dust and just simply vanished, Twilight couldn't believe she had just managed to pull it off and finish off the Miasma that has been after her for this whole dungeon, for the first time since being here, she felt like she could actually breath properly.

"I... I did it!"

Twilight then noticed that all of the red crystals as well have gotten destroyed and erupted around, which basically meant she was now free to teleport around any place, Twilight then saw that she could teleport now past the room that was locked with the metal bars, which is exactly what she did, she then continued on her, and she hen found a door, she opened it, and it lead to another staircase, but this time, there was bright sunlight pouring in it, Twilight knew at that point, she did it. She survived probably the most dangerous dungeon she could have imagined, Twilight had a big smile on her face seeing the sunlight, knowing that her biggest nightmare has come to an end.

Twilight had now come out of the dungeon, with a frazzled mane and looked like she hadn't slept for a week, and was now out onto the surface, Twilight's eyes took a little bit of adjusting to the Sunlight after being in the dark for so long, but after a few seconds, it seemed like she got her clear vision back, and she then soon realized that she had come out from some kind of swamp.

"Okay, now where am I?"

Twilight then got a bit worried that she might end up being lost, but quite conveniently, there was a map near her that showed which location she was currently on, and when she looked at how far she was away from Canterlot, she gulped a bit, knowing that she had to probably walk for hours until she gets there, but, anything at this point was better than staying in that dungeon, so Twilight just decided to take it in, and start on her path on her way back home.

Meanwhile...

Back at Canterlot in Twilight's Family's home, while the whole family was waiting for an update on how their daughter was doing, Celestia was carefully observing the book she had, looking at Twilight's status to see if she was still around, but pretty soon, she found that Twilight's status update with her cutie mark, was no longer available on the book, Celestia then had some mixed thoughts and emotions, and she then decided to go to all the others from Twilight's family who were waiting in the living room, once Celestia came in, the whole group got up, waiting for her answer, eager to her what she had to say, considering she was silent for the past few hours.

"So, Princess Celestia, how is our Twilight doing?"

Celestia then took a moment of pause for her and Twilight's family members, then slowly gave her answer.

"Well, Twilight's status on the book, had disappeared"

The other family members then started trembling and shaking.

"This could only mean either two things, one, she actually managed to find a way to escape the dungeon, and is on her way back, or second...., The Miasma had gotten to her"

The rest of Twilight's parents didn't even want to think of the possibility that their only daughter could have been taken away from them, and Spike and Shining Armor could only hope for the best.

"We have to wait for the next few hours before we can make a one hundred percent confirmation"

So then, the wait had began for Twilight's Family and Princess Celestia, however, for some reason, deep down inside, Princess Celestia had a feeling that Twilight had somehow made it and survived, however, when it was starting to become night time, she and the rest of Twilight's Family started getting more and more worried.


However, just a few minutes after those thoughts, there were some knocks on the door, and when Twilight's Family and Princess Celestia decided to open it, they were pretty shocked to see that it was a couple of Princess Celestia's guards, carrying an Unconscious Twilight with them.

"Sorry to bother you Princess Celestia, but you haven't been back at the Castle for a while, and from the distance, we noticed your star Pupil Twilight Sparkle just collapse to the floor near the castle"

The whole of Twilight's Family couldn't believe it, Twilight was still alive, they then immediately took Twilight into their home, and tried to get her to wake up, but not having much luck.

"Twilight, can you hear us? Please wake up!"

Princess Celestia then noticed the Massive weary hooves that Twilight had and her heavy eyelids.

"I think Twilight is okay and she only just passed out from exhaustion, it's probably best that we let her rest for now"

The whole of Twilight's family nodded then as they then continued doing their things as they waited for Twilight's energy to recover.


A few hours later...

Twilight had now finally began to wake up from her long unconscious nap, and then looked around her, and she then realized, she was back at her home, and she couldn't wait another moment to yell.

"Mom, Dad, BBFF, Spike!"

As soon as all of them heard Twilight's voice come from her bedroom, they all immediately rushed to her, and Princess Celestia followed close not too far behind them, and the moment they saw Twilight, they were all in tears of happiness, and Twilight started tearing up herself too, and they all then gave her a big hug and Twilight then returned the favor.

"I'm so sorry for making you guys worry"

"It's okay Twily, it's okay, what matters most is that you are safe and sound"

Twilight Sparkle then saw Princess Celestia and she was ready to get scolded on by the Princess for not being careful with her studying of the spells, but to her surprise, Celestia at that point was only concerned about her wellbeing.

"I see that you have recovered some of your energy"

"I did, so.. are you not... mad at me?"

"Why would I be? It was my fault that I didn't notice that spell didn't have a description, if I had known it had been torn out from the book, I would have warned you about Chapter 3, I'm terribly sorry for that Twilight, will you please forgive me?"

Twilight couldn't believe that the literal ruler of Equestria and her mentor, and teacher, was asking her for forgiveness.

"Of course I forgive you Princess Celestia, you're my most Favorite teacher ever!"

Twilight Sparkle and Princess Celestia then hugged each other tightly, much to the smiles of the rest of her family, Celestia and Twilight then signalled to the rest of their family, that they wanted to further continue their discussion alone, which the whole family accepted, as they headed back down to the living room, Princess Celestia then began asking Twilight some questions about what hee experience was like in there down in the dungeon.

"So, Twilight, what was it like down there In that dungeon?"

"Oh gosh Princess Celestia, where do I start? It was probably the most horrifying and traumatic experience I've ever heard as a pony, and I've eaten Quesadilla's and seen Ladybugs"

"Okay, can you at least give me a few descriptions?"

"Well, it was very dark, there were a few Ocassional torches to help light the way, a lot of puzzles that I had to solve, a lot of ditches with traps, and of course, a Terrible Miasma creature that was horrifying and was chasing me around the entire dungeon, and I literally had to look everywhere behind my back to make sure that it didn't get me"

"I'm terribly sorry for that experience Twilight, it must have been awful"

"Oh it was, and it did make me quite a bit sad when I found some of those sad notes from Sunny Spiral, Crescent Aurora, Silver Eclipse and Dusty Tome"

Princess Celestia then had a look of shock on her face, then sadness, then started to tear up a bit.

"You... you found letters and notes from them?"

"Yeah, what's the matter, is something wrong?"

Princess Celestia then tried her best to hide her tears from her star Pupil.

"No, no, it's okay, it's just... all those ponies that you have mentioned to me... they all were at some point, star pupil's of my school, and.... ever since they went to this place, I never heard from them again, and that's why I vowed to myself that i would warn anypony, that came across of that particular spell, and make sure that they wouldn't suffer the same fate that these ponies have"

Twilight then felt really sorry and touched for the ruler of Equestria.

"Oh my goodness, i'm so sorry about that Princess Celestia"

"It's okay, at least we now know they were gone for sure right?"

"Yeah, I doubt even Dusty Tome managed to escape"

"Did you actually manage to defeat the Miasma?"

"I actually did, and, I have no idea how I managed to pull it off, cause I was so close to imminent death and vanishment, but yeah, that thing is no longer present in that place, however, I do have a theory"

Princess Celestia then was interested

"Yes, go on Twilight, I'm listening "

"So, let's say if somepony were to unearth and cast this spell again, would that again "recreate" the monster, and repeat this whole process?"

Princess Celestia then could give her best and honest reply to Twilight.

"Honestly Twilight, I have no idea about that, and judging by how things have gone for all these previous ponies and for you, it's probably best that we don't bother testing to find out those questions and find out if they are true or not"

Twilight then nodded and agreed with her mentor and teacher.

"Yeah, you're probably right about that, plus, I'm just glad that this experience and nightmare Is over for me, and i'm here safe and sound in my home, although, I have really enjoyed some of the other spells from your book that I have tested out, some of them really came in handy for when I was in there"

"Well, i'm glad you like it and that you did find some use for them"

Just then, Twilight's stomach began to growl and rumble.

"I haven't eaten all day, I'm starving'

Night Light then came into the room where Twilight and Celestia were in, and overheard what Twilight said.

"Well, I'm really glad you said that sweetie, cause we have actually made your favorite meal, and it's waiting for you just in the living room"

"Really? I'm coming right over!"

Night Light and Princess Celestia then shared a laugh as Twilight immediately got up from her ber and went for the living room, Night Light then invited Princess Celestia if she could join them for dinner too, which she kindly accepted, and then, the whole of Twilight's Family in the living room, along with Princess Celestia, enjoyed one another's company, having chats with each other with Twilight about some of her struggles in her adventure, and they all had a great evening spending time together.
