Rainbow Dash returned 10,000 years later after being in Tartarus for that long and soon discovers that Equestria was super different with her return.
This story is inspired by the manhwa Player Who Returned 10,000 Years Later and different manhwas of similar nature.
Rainbow Dash was sent to Tartarus for a crime she didn't commit and now after being in Tartarus for 10,000 years, she wanted to return back to Equestria after being in Tartarus for that long. When she returned back to Equestria, everything changed of when she knows of her time's Equestria and now has technology and only 3 areas known.
This story takes place for Gen 5 wise after the winter special for Make Your Mark.
Tartarus, a realm of the most evil creatures that got sent here from Equestria or somewhere in Equus. But something happened that made Tartarus into what it is now.
10,000 years ago or 1,000 years outside the realm of Tartarus, a cyan female pegasus pony that wields the Element of Loyalty been sentenced to Tartarus for committed a crime she didn't do.
She was very upset that she's been sent to Tartarus for doing no crime at all. She even swore vengeance if she ever gets out of Tartarus, she'll have their heads on a silver platter.
For 10,000 years in Tartarus, Rainbow Dash been the Queen of the realm and the highest level player there. As well as made a family for herself there. And right now, she's sitting in her chair in her court room. She's been watching what's going outside Tartarus and saw that it has changed.
During these 10,000 years or 1,000 years outside Tartarus, she saw that the Equestria she knows, no longer look the same and been changed. She even saw what these ponies did. She saw that magic was brought back after her alicorn friend Twilight Sparkle was defeated by a evil looking purple alicorn.
Now, she saw that it was still snowing out there. She swiped a hoof across the screens to make them disappear. She then sighed. "I really wished I could be outside of Tartarus. After being alive for 10,000 years here in Tartarus, I want to experience what snow feels like."
She then heard one of her generals say this. "You could go out there, the spell that was holding you here in Tartarus is no longer there anymore. It died off 500 years ago."
She looked at the general who said that. It was General Ji'a Hinleplanit, a female humanoid demon who took a interest in Rainbow Dash all of those years ago and is one of Rainbow Dash's wives here in Tartarus and was also the one who found Rainbow Dash when Rainbow got sent to Tartarus. "And you couldn't tell me that all those years ago?!"
Ji'a just shrugged. "You were busy with having sex with High-Commander Ha'l Beinline at the time as I didn't want to disturbed you two."
Rainbow just groaned. "Let me just get ready alright?" She was not happy that Ji'a told her that the spell holding her here in Tartarus was gone. And now she was getting ready to finally leave Tartarus.
"Alright, I'll just get the portal ready for your departure while you do that." Ji'a said before leaving to get the portal ready.
Rainbow accessed her inventory from her menu screen as she was trying to find clothes to wear including her weapons when she leaves Tartarus.
After looking for a bit, she finally found what she wants to wear. She equipped the clothes that were dubbed 'Netherweave Outfit' as well as her main ranged weapon choice of 'Dark Matter Rifle' that has unlimited ammo. Her main melee weapon choice was of course the two swords from SAO.
Already set to leave Tartarus, she finally walked out of her court room and then walked towards where Ji'a currently is. As she walked, she looked around the hallway of her castle in Tartarus, it was the same as when her castle was built.
As she getting nearer to Ji'a Hinleplanit's location, she heard her say. "Queen Rainbow Dash, its ready! Good luck out there my queen."
She walked to where Ji'a is and saw the portal was already up and running. She smiled as it was finally time to leave Tartarus. She nodded. "Thank you Ji'a, I'll contact you when I'm on the other side of the portal."
"I'll say it again, good luck out there my queen." Ji'a said giving Rainbow the thumbs up.
Rainbow walked towards the portal before going through it. The final words of Ji'a before fully disppearing was. "I'll take care of everything in your absence my queen."
Rainbow Dash got out of the portal, leaving Tartarus behind as she was finally back in Equestria after all of those years. She felt the magic in the air, but it was different than the magic of Equestria all of those years ago. She could feel magic inside of herself. This magic was very different as she felt earth pony magic inside her own body.
"System command, contact Ji'a Hinleplanit." Rainbow Dash said. It was only a few seconds before the voice of Ji'a was heard.
"Yes my queen?" Ji'a asked.
"I finally made it out of the portal on the other side what looks like to be some kind of open field."
"Well, I hope you stay safe out there as I take care of your kingdom here in Tartarus and please don't get killed out there."
Rainbow snorted. "Ji'a, I won't be killed out here, I'm the highest level player in all of Tartarus, who the actual fuck would kill me with my current stats?"
"No one my queen."
"Good. I'll contact you later. Bye Ji'a."
"Bye my queen."
Rainbow disconnected the call to Ji'a. She sighed. "Now that I'm finally out of fucking Tartarus, I need to find those ponies who brought magic back to Equestria. But first." She accessed her menu screen to unequipped her clothes and weapons. As her clothes and weapons were unequipped, she felt how cold it was on her cyan fur, she missed feeling these cold temps all over her body. She remembers from all of those years ago that she and AJ were having fun in the snow in Ponyville before Winter Wrap Up time. But now with AJ no longer alive, she'll have to find another pony to have fun in the snow with. 6,390 years ago in Tartarus, she lost both of wings from fighting in a arena in Tartarus, but she got used to having no wings that she found a way to fly without wings.
She started to get off of the snow covered ground as she was floating in the air a few feet above the ground and closed her eyes to try to get a sense of where those ponies were. A few moments later and she finally found where those ponies are right now. She sensed those 5 ponies in the same location. "There you are." She said before going back down onto the snow covered ground. Her hooves made contact back on the ground with a soft crunch.
She then activated her agility skill and started running at speeds of over 500 mph across these open fields. It wasn't long before arriving at the location of these 5 ponies.
She knows this location from looking at the screens when she was in Tartarus. She also sensed a baby dragon in this town and this baby dragon has magic. That's a powerful magic this baby dragon has, better be careful about that.
The location she's at is of what looks like a lighthouse but it was rebuilt from being destroyed by that mechanized looking pony vehicle. She breathe in and out like the same thing she saw her friend Twilight did before knocking on the doors to the lighthouse.
She quickly equipped what she was wearing earlier before she heard the door opening. The pony who opened the door was none other than the one who became a semi-alicorn.
"Yes, who are you and why are you here?"
"I'll tell you everything once I'm in there and bring your other friends, they need to hear this as well for what I'm about to tell you. This concerns what you know of the past." Rainbow said with her face covered by her hood. Her voice was deepen a little so that this pony won't recognized her until she can tell them what's going on.
The pony on the other side of the door was confused then shrugged. "Alright?"
Rainbow nodded. "Thanks." She said before going in the building.
Rainbow saw what the inside of this building looks like.
"Umm... welcome to the Crystal Brighthouse."
So, that's the name of this building. Cool. Rainbow thought before nodding to herself.
"Who are you?"
"I'll tell you once you get the others here alright? And once they get here, I'll tell you."
"Umm... its like really close to Wishentine's Day, like tomorrow."
Wishentine's Day? Is she talking about Hearths Warming? Rainbow thought.
"Well, I'm gonna get my friends okay?"
Rainbow nodded.
"Be right back."
The pony left, leaving Rainbow there.
"System command, start video recording." Rainbow said before she starts recording a new video. "Well, lets look around shall we?" She said before looking around. The camera in her contact lenses was looking what she's looking. After she's done recording this new video, she'll send it to Ji'a for them to see back in Tartarus.
"I'm liking the inside of this brighthouse more and more. I hope you guys are liking this too, including you Ji'a."
After a minute has pass. "System command, end video recording." Rainbow said, ending the recording. "System command, send latest video to Ji'a." She heard the sound that the newest video just been sent to Ji'a.
Rainbow just plopped down on her ass. She then mess with her menu screen a bit, looking at what she has in her inventory currently. She has everything that she gotten over the years in Tartarus including weapons and other stuff. Her ears perked up as she heard that same pony coming back. She quickly swiped her menu screen away, making it disappear from view.
"Sunny, whose this new pony you want us to meet?"
"Yeah Sunny, I was a little busy with making sure tomorrow is perfect."
"I'm sorry Hitch, but with what's coming tomorrow, I want this Wishentine's Day more perfect than last year." The pony Rainbow met earlier now called Sunny said. "Well here's this pony I want you guys to meet."
"Hi new friend!"
This one reminds Rainbow alot like her friend Pinkie, but as a unicorn.
"Don't mind Izzy, she was a little excited to meet you. I'm Sunny Starscout and these are my friends, Izzy Moonbow, Hitch Trailblazer, Pipp Petals, and Zipp 'Zephyrina' Storm. The baby dragon on Hitch's back is called Sparky Sparkaroni. Now you know our names, what's yours?"
Rainbow sighed. "Before I do tell you my name, what I'm about to tell you never leaves this building. Got it?"
"Hoof to heart!" Sunny and her friends exclaimed together.
That's a new one, is this like Pinkie's Pinkie Promise in a way without the pinkie promise? She thought before she said. "Alright, this might come as a shock but..." She access her menu screen to unequipped what's she wearing and stuff.
Sunny was the one to gasped. "RAINBOW DASH?!"
Rainbow nodded before clearing her throat. "Yes."
"How?!"
"This may come as a even more shock but, I was sent to Tartarus for a crime that I didn't even commit for 10,000 years. Its only been 1,000 years here. I was watching your adventures Sunny Starscout."
"Sunny?" Hitch asked looking at his friend.
Sunny's eyes went back to her head, making her faint.
"Sorry about her fainting like that. I guess I'm one of her heroes huh?"
"You don't even known the half of it." Hitch said.
"I really want to tell my Pippsqueaks about this, but I think this soo much more than I can do on social media."
"Gee ya think?!" Rainbow sarcastically said.
"Pipp." Zipp shakes her head.
"Well, I guess you can put her on her bed and I can tell you all about what I've been doing Tartarus all of this time and I got alot of stuff to show you as well. But first I'll show you guys this." She said before accessing her menu again and going to her stats screen. "Look at this."
Eyes widen as what they saw on Rainbow's stats screen.
Rainbow saw their reactions. "Yeah, I'm the queen of Tartarus after the 500th year there and I'm still queen. I might do a video call with one of my generals that I'm letting her do my duties until I get back but I don't know how long I'll be here."
Its been some time since Rainbow revealed her identity to the mane 5 of the new generation. Ever since then, she told Sunny's friends about what's going on in Tartarus and stuff and what she was doing there for those years. She was sitting at one of the seats at the table eating some themed food like cookies.
When she was about to tell on how she lost her wings, they all heard a groan coming from Sunny herself. "She must be finally coming back after her fainting earlier."
They nodded. "You better be next to her Hitch so that she has somepony familiar with her."
"I will Rainbow." Hitch said before getting out of his seat and going to Sunny's bed to be with her.
"I'll wait until Sunny fully awake before I continue my story." Rainbow said. "Or I can wait until some other day to really tell my entire story. It wouldn't be right for you guys hearing my entire story without Sunny listening in as well."
Sunny's friends heard what happened to Rainbow from when she got sent to Tartarus until to the point before she lost her wings while fighting in that arena.

Rainbow saw the mistletoe as both Sunny and Izzy walked under it. Ever since she was watching their adventures the first time to get magic back, she saw that both mares were making faces like that they became in love with each other. She smiled as she approved the lesbian couple.
She also saw that Izzy has a present in her magic.
Both mares look up as they both saw the mistletoe above them. They both blushed as Sunny saw the present in Izzy's magic.
"Sunny Starscout, ever since I first saw you, I greeted you as a new friend, but as time went on, I had a lot of fun with you for our adventures with our friends, but most of all, you made me feel like that we can be more than friends." Izzy said before opening the present with her magic to see that its a ring made of crystal. "Sunny Starscout, will you marry me?"
Sunny started to cry as tears was coming out of her eyes, she smiled as she nodded. "Yes." After she had said that, both her and Izzy kissed under the mistletoe.
I'll be best mare for their wedding when that day comes. Rainbow thought as she smiled at the two mares kissing. She then turned her head towards Hitch and said. "Be happy for your foalhood friend Hitch, at least you got those pegasus sisters for you. And hey, maybe someday you'll have Zipp and Pipp as your wives."
Hitch smiled at Rainbow. "Thanks Rainbow."
Rainbow beamed. "You're welcome, now with that out of the way..." She then accessed her inventory and took out holiday themed cupcakes that she made back in Tartarus. "...who wants holiday themed cupcakes?"
Those holiday themed cupcakes are still freshly baked from being put in her inventory after she'd finished making them all of those years ago in Tartarus.
Sunny and her friends went towards Rainbow and grabbed a cupcake in their hooves. "I hope you'll love them. I'm already at max level for my cooking skill." Rainbow knows alot of recipes from her time in Tartarus, because she played all of The Sims games from 1-4.
After everypony ate the cupcakes, Rainbow heard yawning coming from Sunny. "Well, I'm getting really tired from everything today..." Sunny smiled. "...but now it's time for sleep. Night everypony."
One by one, Rainbow saw everypony else going to the beds until she herself was the only one left. Well, I know I'll tell my entire story to Sunny and her friends someday.
Rainbow yawned before getting a bed out of her inventory and started to sleep on it.
