> Chapter 1: A Amazing Discovery, the Battle Begins

In the magical land of Equestria, a few years back there was a strange occurrence that happened and affected every magical creature that lived in it. A strange octagon covered the sky before many bright lights exploded all around the land. Every creature's magic was suddenly gone when this occurrence happened. But just as this strange occurrence appeared, it suddenly disappeared after a few seconds and the magic returned. No creature figure out what caused this and how it was caused, they all only agreed on what it's called: "the Great Collision."

A number of creatures tried to figure out where the magic went when it happened, while most moved on. Many others thought it was a sign that it was the end of the world. But eventually they all moved on as very few still tried to figure it out. But this is only part of a much bigger story and a much even bigger battle.





Years later, in Ponyville during the night a young colt with a golden yellow coat, green eyes, red mane and tail with white streaks is seen running through the streets with a small funny with white fur and black spots like patches running beside him. Around his neck is a string with a small golden ball wrapped around it. The colt made his way out of town and he stopped when he came to the front of the Everfree Forest.

The colt looked at the forest for a bit before he had a grin on his face. "It's somewhere in there. We just need to find it." He said before he looked at the bunny. "You ready, girl?" The bunny nodded its head before the colt looked at the ball. "Can't wait to see it." Both the colt and the bunny charged right into the forest without a second thought.





"Check out the view." Gallus said as he and the rest of the Young Six are on one of the tall towers of the Castle of the Two Sisters. They ran away from their homelands when Chancellor Neighsay of the EEA closed down the School of Friendship. But even though the classes were boring, they really enjoyed their time together. They didn't want to be separated so it's the reason why they ran away and came here.

"I know right?" Sliverstream asked with a bright smile. "And the night sky looks so pretty!"

"Yona is happy to be with friends!" Yona shouted as she pulled her friends close.

"Easy Yona, we still need to breath." Smolder spoke up before Yona let them go. "It would be even better if we had any cushions to sleep on."

"Don't worry, I'll stop by the furniture store and buy a few pillows." Sandbar assured them. "Also grab a few apples and some cupcakes too."

"Those do sound nice." Ocellus commented before looking out into the forest. She looked around for a bit before she noticed a large area where there was a crater in the shape of a hexagon. "Hey, is that place what I think it is?" The other five looked in the same direction as her and saw what she was looking at.

"No way..." Sandbar said in awe.

"There's only one way to find out." Gallus said as he stood up. "Let's go check it out." The others nodded in agreement before they ran down the tower and out of the castle.





The colt and his bunny made it through the forest and ended up in the clearing, the one Ocellus spotted. The two of them ran down into the crater before running to the center where he looked up into the sky and took a deep breath. "This is the place." He said when he breathed out. "The spot where the Great Collision first happened."

"This is amazing!" He heard a unfamiliar female voice shouted before he turned to see the Young Six coming in. "The exact spot where it all happened."

"Yeah." Sandbar said as they walked up to the colt. "S'up bro, what are you doing here?"

"I just wanted to see the spot where it all happened." The colt explain. "And I can take a wild guess that you're here for the same reason. You guys got names?"

"I'm Sandbar."

"Sliverstream!"

"Yona."

"Smolder."

"Ocellus."

"And I'm Gallus. Now that you know us, can you tell us who you are and who's the bunny?" He asked he pointed the one next to the colt.

"I'm Shine Hope, and this bunny is Patches." He introduced himself as Patches used her foot to scratch herself behind the ears. "The very mean reason I came to this spot, it's because on the day the Great Collision first happened was the day I was born."

"Man, I bet your mom was pretty freaked out more that you wouldn't survive when it happened." Smolder joked when she put her hands behind her head.

"A lot properly did." Sliverstream added before they all laughed.

"By the way, that's a cool ball you got." Gallus complimented as he pointed to the one around Shine's neck.

"Thanks, I found it and two similar ones when I was little." Shine told them as he held it up. "I gave the other two to my parents, but my grandfather gave them back to me when they suddenly disappeared."

"Sorry to hear that." Ocellus said. "I hope you find them soon."

"It's fine, I know they're out there somewhere." Shine remarked as he looked back up in the sky. Ocellus was using her magic to levitate a book she brought with her, but all of the sudden her magic just stopped and the book fell to the ground.

"Huh, what happened?" She asked as she tried to activate her magic, but nothing happened.

"What's wrong?" Yona asked before Shine let out a gasp before pulling out a pocket watch. He looked at it and saw that it suddenly stopped on midnight.

"This is what happened before..." He said, causing the others to look at him. "This happened before. Magic just suddenly stopped, as if it was never there in the first place. Right before the--" His sentence was cut off when a giant hexagon appeared in the sky before multiple beams of light shot down from said hexagon.

"GREAT COLLISION!!" All seven of them shouted when it happened again before they scattered around to try and not get hit. They all ran around but none of them were able to escape the crater with the multiple beams shooting down. Then one by one each beam hit each of them before a bright light covered the area.

Shine is seen laying on the ground with the others before Patches hops over to him. She sort of sniff his muzzle before he scrunched up his face and wakes up. He sits up and rubs his head just as the others woke up as well. "Oh man...that was insane..." He groan before he noticed a strange device on his left hook. It looked like a watch of some kind, but it looked like nothing he had ever seen before. He looked at the others and noticed that they were also wearing the same kind of watch.

"Where did these things come from?" Smolder asked when they noticed the watches on them as Shine noticed the same watch is around Patches's neck.

"Looks like we just experienced what the first Great Collision was like before." Gallus commented as Ocellus powered up her horn and levitated her book over to her.

"Yeah, I'm just glad magic wasn't gone for good." She said with relieved to still have her magic.

"Yona never been so scared before." Yona said after taking a breath.

"Let's hope it was the last one." Gallus remarked.

"Yeah, I bet that's what they thought before too." Shine said with a warm smile as he rubbed his head.


Bakugan.


All seven of them looked around when they heard that strange voice say that one word. "Did any of you just heard that?" Sandbar asked the others.

"I heard it too!" Sliverstream answered.

"Yeah same..." Gallus added.

"Who said that?" Ocellus asked.

"Yona don't know." Yona said.

"But did you hear what it said?" Smolder asked.

"Yeah, it only said one thing." Shine spoke up. "It said..."

"Bakugan." The all said in unison before Shine felt like something was missing before you look down and saw that his golden ball is gone.

"Hey, where my...?" He asked before he spotted it next to him with the string gone. "Oh, there it is." He reached over and grabbed it before the ground was suddenly covered in glowing hexagon tiles all around him. He jumped when he saw the tiles but suddenly vanished when he dropped the ball. "What the...what was that?"

"What was what?" Smolder asked when they looked at him. Shine looked at the ball he dropped and cautiously picked it back up. The moment he did, the tiles reappeared around him. He saw many glowing tiles on the ground and some of them were different colors than others.

"Wow! I never see anything like this before!" He said in awe when he saw the tiles on the ground. The Young Six however are confused by what's he is going on about.

"Hey, are you okay?" Gallus asked as he walked over to him and grabbed his shoulder. But the moment he did, he started to see the glowing tiles too. He was shocked that he removed his claw from Shine's shoulder. When he couldn't anymore, he placed it back his shoulder and saw it again. "Whoa, this is so weird..."

Each of them grew curious as to what they were seeing before they joined Gallus. One by one, they joined him and started to see the glowing tiles on the ground. They're were so amazed to see this and wondered how many creatures didn't see it when it first happened. Smolder then spotted something on the ground that looked like some sort of ball of odd goo arising. "Whoa, what's that?" She asked before the others saw it as well.

"Where'd that come from?" Sandbar asked before Smolder noticed something inside the thing. She lowered herself to the thing and reached into it.

"Are you sure it's a good idea to touch that?" Sliverstream asked before the goo itself first and covered Smolder. She quickly covered her eyes when it did and tried to wipe it off her face before she felt something in her claw. She then saw a red ball that looked similar to the one Shine has.

"What is this?" She asked when she showed the others.

"It's like mine, but red." Shine said as they compared the two balls.

"You think these are Bakugan?" Smolder asked as Shine wonder the same thing.

"Yona found one!" They heard Yona shouted before they saw her covered in goo. "Yona found one too!" She held up a light brown ball like Shine's and Smolder's.

"I found one too!" Sliverstream called out as she held up a ball that is blue while covered in goo. "It's blue, gooey, and pretty!"

"I found a white one!" Ocellus called as she is covered in goo and holds a white ball.

"I found one that's green." Sandbar said as he is covered in goo and holding the ball he found up.

"So there's more of them in different colors." Shine said before he saw Patches covered in goo while balancing a black ball on her head. The other saw this and sort of laughed at this little amusement.

"There's got to be more of them around, right?" Gallus asked as he was looking around for his own.

"Shine! Patches! Where are two?!" They all hurting a elderly voice called out.

"Oh, that's my grandfather." Shine told them when he heard that voice. "I guess it is very late and I kind of went out without telling him. I'll see you guys around." The all said they're goodbyes before him and Patches went in the direction where they heard his grandfather called out.





The next day, Shine is with Patches and an elderly unicorn stallion with a grayish brown coat, gray beard, and a toolbox for his cutie mark. They were taking a nice stroll through Ponyville as to get a I feel for their new home since they just moved here. "I'm sorry again for walking out without telling you, grandpa." He said as they walked.

"Hey, it's all right kiddo." His grandfather told him as he ruffled his mane. "But I never expected another Great Collision to happen last night. Or for more of those balls you found." Patches was balancing the black ball on her head as she hopped with them.

"Yeah, it surprised me too when it happened." Shine said before he noticed that the other fillies and colts too have the strange watches that suddenly appear after the Great Collision. "So it's not just me and the others."

"Hey, why don't we check out that castle that the Princess of Friendship lives in?" His grandfather suggested. "It might be nice to see one of the six Heroes of Equestria and to see where they live."

"Yeah, that sounds awesome." Shine said before they mean their way towards the Castle of Friendship. They walked until they reached the castle before the noticed the school of friendship and a bunch of creatures in front of it. It was the Mane Six, Young Six, Princess Celestia, Starlight Glimmer, Spike, the mentors of the Young Six, and Chancellor Neighsay.

"What's going on over there?" His grandfather asked before Shine quickly ran over to his friends he met last night.

"Oh, hey Shine." Sandbar said when he and the others saw him come up.

"Hey guys, what's going on?" Shine asked.

"We sort of ran into some trouble in the forest before our teachers sort of saved us." Gallus started explaining.

"But we didn't know that our running away was going to start a war with our kingdoms." Smolder said as she rubbed the back of her head.

"But war won't happen, because Yona and friends are going to school!" Yona added.

"Okay, but who's he and why does he look so angry?" Shine asked when he pointed at Chancellor Neighsay.

"That's Neighsay, a chancellor of the EEA." Ocellus answered. "He thinks we are dangerous and closed down the school because he thinks friendship should be only ponies thing."

"But Headmare Twilight isn't going by the EEA rules and made her own!" Sliverstream added. "She's going to run the school her way."

"Allowing all of these creatures to attend your school, changing the rules for them...it simply won't work!" Neighsay exclaimed with a glare. "Plus we don't even know if they are the ones who are behind the Great Collision!"

"Now that's not right to accuse them of that event!" Twilight defended. "We don't know what was the cause of the Great Collision. It happened all over the world and no one knows how it happened."

"She's right!" Shine shouted and getting everyone's attention. "That especially goes for my friends! Like them and me, we're just kids and you have no right to blame them for something that happened no one could explain how it happened! I met them last night when another Great Collision just happened. None of them had anything to do with that and I know that they never would have."

"Another happened last night?" Princess Celestia asked in surprise to hear it.

"And besides," Shine continued as he looked at his golden ball before back at Neighsay. "Didn't unicorns, pegasi, and Earth ponies didn't get along before? Then we changed the rules and we live in harmony."

"Well said Shine." His grandfather said in a proud tone.

Neighsay's face twisted at this, only for Twilight to add, "I promise you chancellor, my school will help protect Equestria."

"Or destroy it!" With that, he leapt back through the portal and they all cheered as it closed. Twilight then walked over to Shine with a warm smile.

"Thank you." She told him. "That what's real kind of you to stand up for your friends like that."

"Well I can't let my friends get blamed for something that happened to all creatures." Shine said before he looked his golden ball. "No matter what happens, I will always be there to help defend my friends." Just then the golden ball in his started to glow bright and surprised everyone there. Shine was surprised at all of them that this was happening before his eyes suddenly changed from green to golden yellow when the light died down.

"What the hay was that?" Applejack asked before Shine suddenly held up the ball in his hoof.

"Drome up!" He shouted before a sudden gust of winds happened. Just then the glowing tiles suddenly appeared all over the ground as a dome began to expand. As it happened, the others started to be pushed out by the dome except for Shine, Patches, and the Young Six minus Gallus. The hexagon started cover the ones inside the dome as they suddenly began to change.

"What is this?!" Rainbow shouted as she flew and tried to beat down the dome to get back in, but no good. Those outside saw the others inside started to stand on two legs before the hexagons on their bodies started to vanish. 

Patches looked the same while the others look like anthropomorphic with hands. They even had strange clothes on as Sandbar is now wearing a dark green jacket with a strange symbol on the back and a light green t-shirt with long green dark pants. "This is new." He said as he looked himself over.

Ocellus is now suddenly wearing white clothing with light blue outlines. She was wearing a white top with a strange symbol in the shape of a star in the blue outlines while she was wearing a white and light blue skirt. "What just happened to us?!" She shouted as she is surprised by her new look.

Yona is now wearing a poncho that is light brown with earth orange outlines with a strange symbol on the back. "Yona likes the colors." She commented.

Sliverstream is now wearing a dark blue skirt with a strange symbol on it while also wearing a blue top with water waves on it. "Wow! This looks so cool!" She exclaimed as she was amazed by our new clothing.

Smolder is now wearing a red leather jacket with yellow outlines and a strange symbol on one of the sleeves. She is also wearing dark red jeans with flames on the bottom. "Huh, this looks good on me." She said as she already liked the flames on the pants.

Shine is now wearing golden yellow jacket with a strange symbol in blue outlines. He was wearing it matching pants with blue outlines, as well as a blue shirt. He looked like he was in a trance as he held out the ball in his hand and looked like he was taking aim at a glowing gold tile on the ground. He tossed up the ball in the air before jumping up and quickly grabbing it before throwing it towards the glowing tile.

The ball landed on the tile and suddenly popped open to be a miniature dragon toy before it glowed bright. Said toy started to grow large in size as it began to fold its arms, wings, and neck out before it's glowing red eyes opened and it let out a roar when it was in its full giant size.





The others screamed at the top of their lungs when they saw this giant golden dragon suddenly appeared. Those outside of the dome also saw this as they were trying to get in to try and save them. "What in the world is that thing?!" Twilight shouted when she saw the robotic golden dragon.

Shine's eyes returned to normal and started to take notice of his surroundings. "Hey, w-what's going on?" He asked before he noticed his body had changed. "What the--?! What happened to me?!"

"Hey Shine!! You might want to get way from that!!" Ocellus called out.

"What are you talking about?" He asked before he looked and saw the robotic golden dragon staring down at him. "Whoa!" He stumbled backwards and fell on his flank when he saw it. At first, he was afraid that this thing would hurt him but it just stared at him the whole time. "I don't think it's going to hurt us."

Shine got up and slowly approached the thing in front of him. "What are you doing?! Don't go near that thing!" Smolder shouted when they saw him walk up to it.

"Hey! Are...are you a Bakugan?!" Shine asked the thing.

"Yes, I am." It responded to him, which surprised everyone in and out of the dome.

"That thing just talked." Ember said when they heard it.

"So that's a Bakugan." Gallus said before they looked at him. "Oh, well last night we heard a voice after the Great Collision that just said 'Bakugan' to us."

"Oh, we see." Shine's Grandfather said before he looked towards his grandson. "To think my grandson had something like that since he was just a young colt this whole time."

"What is your name?" The Bakugan asked Shine.

"My name is Shine Hope." He answered the Bakugan. "What about you, do you have a name?"

"My name is Leonidas." The Bakugan told him. "And the of us are partners."

"What do you mean 'partners'?" He asked as the others can believe what was happening.

"So that thing is a Bakugan? Who would have thought?" Smolder said as Ocellus took out the white ball she found.

"If his ball could do that, then maybe..." Ocellus said to herself before she noticed a glowing white hexagon tile. She noticed how both the tile and the ball are the same color before she decided to toss the ball over to it. Once the ball landed on it, it popped open before glowing bright and growing to the same size as Leonidas.





"Another one?!" Celestia exclaimed when they saw the second Bakugan appear.

"Hey there! My name is Sairus." She introduced herself to Ocellus.

"Nice to meet you, I'm Ocellus." She introduced herself before turning towards her friends. "Those balls we found at the site are Bakugan. Take them out and throw them at the color tiles that match them."

"Okay!" Sliverstream shouted before she took out the blue ball she found and threw it at a matching glowing tile. Once it made contact, it popped open to be a small toy shark before it grew to the same size as Leonidas and Sairus.





"My name is Sharktar!" He introduced himself and sounded like a soldier.

"Hi Sharktar! I'm Sliverstream and you are the most craziest thing I've ever seen in my life!" She exclaimed.

"Yona's turn!" Yona shouted as she took out her light brown ball and through it at a glowing earth orange tile. It popped open to be a T-Rex toy when it landed before growing to the size of the other three Bakugan.



 (imagine Trox's color is light brown.)

"Hello there, my name is Trox." He introduced himself to Yona.

"Yona is Yona." She responded.

"Why did you say your name twice?" Trox asked.

"I guess it's my turn." Smolder said as she threw the red ball at a matching tile. It popped open to be a serpent dragon before it grew to the same size as the others.



 (her attribute is Pyrus.)

"My name is Smolder." She introduced herself when she flew up to the Bakugan. "What's yours?"

"It's Phaedrus and I really like the fire that burns within you." She responded with a proud tone.

"I guess it's my turn." Sandbar said before he threw the green ball at the glowing green tile. It popped open to look like a toy turtle before growing to the same size as the other Bakugan.





"Very good morning, I am Turtonium." The Bakugan introduced himself and sounding a bit mellow.

"Cool, you sound like a Bakugan Guru or something. I'm Sandbar." Sandbar said in the same tone. They all then saw Patches bouncing the black ball on her head before she bounced it high in the air. She then jumped up and kicked it right towards a glowing black tile before it popped open to be a three-headed dog before it grew to the same size as the others.





"I am Howlkor." He introduced himself as Patches jumped up and down while waving her small arms around. "Nice to meet you Patches."

"Wait, you can understand her?!" Shine asked Howlkor in surprised.

"Of course I can. We're partners after all." He told Shine.

"This is so amazing." Shine as he looked at each Bakugan that was thrown out. "I never seen anything like you guys before. Are there any other Bakugan or is it just you guys? And what did you mean by we're partners?"

"To tell the truth, it's just a feeling I had when I saw you." Leonidas admitted. "As for if there's more..." Leonidas sensed something coming this way before he quickly flapped his wings and dodged a powerful gust of winds that looked like a slash and missed him but hit the school.

"What was that?!" Smolder asked before something came down from the sky. It looked like a bird that stood on its back legs and was the same color as Turtonium.





"It's a Falcron." Phaedrus told her when she saw the Bakugan.

"That was awesome, Falcron!" They saw a light green pegasus colt fly down next to Falcron before he looked at himself to see his new form and clothes. "Whoa, and check me out. This is so cool."

"Thanks, but I think I hit that building when I showed you my moves." Falcron told the colt.

"Hey, what's the big idea?!" Shine shouted before Leo landed back down. "You almost hit Leo!"

"Not only that, but you also destroyed part of our school!" Ocellus shouted as she pointed towards the part Falcron hit.

"What's the big deal?" The colt asked as he shrugged his shoulders. "I don't go here, so it's not my problem."

"That's not the point!" Shine shouted. "You can't just go around and smashing things! You could have hurt somepony!"

"So what? They can just re-build the place." The colt responded.

"I don't think words will do anything, Shine." Leo said as he stood tall. "We will have to settle this with a Bakugan battle."

"Now we're talking!" Falcron exclaimed. "I'm been wanting to battle since I woke up!"

"A battle?" Sandbar repeated.

"Us Bakugan love to battle." Turtonium explain. "And it looks like this battle will be Leo versus Falcron."

"Looks like will sit this one out." Howlkor said.

"Okay, but after I want to battle." Sairus told them.

"I be happy to battle you!" Sharktar told her before each of them glowed and return to ball form before falling towards their partners. The only ones that still out is Leo and Falcron with their partners.

"Oh dear, I don't like conflict." Fluttershy said when they heard Bakugan battle.

"Okay, let's do this." Shine shouted before he heard the watch on his wrist beeping. When he looked at it, a holographic screen popped up in front of them. "Whoa!"


Bakugan Battle commencing.

Leonidas B-power: 800.

Falcron B-power: 700.


"Well, that's new." He look towards the others and their watches were doing the same.

"Let's do this!" Falcron shouted before took off into the air. "Sonic Scream!" Winds gathered above his wings before he launched a powerful blast right at Leonidas.

"Golden Guard!" Leonidas declared before a shield made of his energy suddenly appeared in front of him and blocked the attack. "Aurelus Laser!" He charge of energy in his mouth before firing a golden laser straight at Falcron witch hit.


Falcron B-power: 550.


"Check it out." Sandbar said when he saw Falcron's B-power go down. "His power went down when Leonidas landed a blow."

"Looks like the point of the battle is to get your opponent's power down to zero." Ocellus theorized as Falcron stood back up.

"Not bad, but it's my turn." Falcron told him before he flew back up. "Flash of Thunder!" He then send energy into the sky before clashes of thunder came down and struck Leonidas.


Leonidas B-power: 650.


Falcron then flew down and started to punch at Leonidas as he used his wing to block some of the blow, but his B-power was still going down. "Oh no, Leo!" Shine called out as he looked around to find something to help.

"Oh yeah, keep it up Falcron!" The colt cheered as Shine spotted a golden tile on the ground and ran over to it.

"Here Leo!" He shouted as he picked up the tile and threw it to Leonidas. "Take this!" The tile flew towards Leonidas before it landed and he absorbed it.


Leonidas B-power: 550.


Leonidas pushed back Falcron before spending around to hit him with his tail back.


Falcron B-power: 450.


"How'd pony do that?!" Yona asked when they saw Shine did with the tile.

"I don't know, it was just a feeling I had!" Shine told them as the colt picked up a red tile.

"Well if you can do it, so can I!" He declared before he threw the tile at Falcron. But when it was absorbed, it seemed to hurt Falcron than help.


Falcron B-power: 125.


"What the...?!"

"It looks like you have to use the same color tile that matches the Bakugan." Smolder said when they saw Falcron's B-power drop.

"Let's finish this!" Shine shouted as he threw another golden tile at Leonidas.


Leonidas B-power: 650


"Okay!" Leonidas shouted before he flew high up into the air and hovered there as he charged up power. Power surged to his mouth as he prepared for a final attack. "Omega Blast!" He unleashed a powerful beam of golden energy straight at Falcron which landed and caused a big explosion as Leonidas landed back down.


Falcron B-power: 0.


Falcron's body glowed bright before he shrunk down and return to ball form as falling to the ground. "Oh man, I'm out of here!" The colt said before he ran off. As Leonidas transformed back into a ball and went to Shine, the dome started to go down and those who are inside return to their original forms.

"Hey guys, look!" Sandbar said as he pointed to the school that was rebuilding itself. "How's that happening?"

"You see, anything destroyed inside of the Drome is restored after the Bakugan battle." Turtonium explain. "But anything destroyed outside of it stays destroyed." When it was finally down, Gallus walked over to Falcron's Bakugan ball and picked it up.

"That was so not cool that that guy just left you behind." He said to Falcron before he popped open.

"Yeah but who needs him?" Falcron said. "You seem more like a cooler guy than him."

"I must say, I especially didn't expect this." Celestia said as she looked at the Bakugan before she looked mostly towards Leonidas. "Leonidas, you were about to explain about if there's more of you around."

"Sister!" Luna called out as she flew in. "There's something that happen in Canterlot that came out of nowhere! Very strange beasts appeared when a child threw a small ball at the ground and they seem to get along!" Everyone was surprised to what Luna just told them and knew she was talking about Bakugan. "And it's not just here, reports are coming in from all across the lands in the different kingdoms that children found strange balls from some goo and happening in the same way."

Shine and Leonidas looked at each other before he smiled. "This is going to be one crazy year." He said as he feels like things are going to be different in Equestria with the Bakugan.





In an unknown location, a white cloak figure with light blue outlines was looking down in a pool of water and it showed a reflection of the Bakugan battle that just happened before said figure smiled. "There's hope for all yet." She said as she waved her hand over the pool to show an image of Shine, Leonidas, and their new friends.
> Chapter 2: Burger Run

The days that have passed have been interesting ones now that Shine enrolled in the School of Friendship and what Princess Luna told them was true. All across the land, a bunch of young creatures found Bakugan like Leonidas and the others. But for some reason, only young creatures are able to roll them out. It was real shock for Applejack and Rarity when they found out that Apple Bloom and Sweetie Belle have one of their own. 

But the ones who is really enjoying the Bakugan here in Equestria are Shine and the Young Six. Ever since they met their Bakugan partners, they have had most fun time having battles together. Plus, their teachers even let Patches come and everything. They even came up with the name for the tiles on the ground, Baku-cores. One day, the group were having a nice Bakugan battle as it's Leonidas versus Phaedrus.

"Phaedrus, Pyrus Flare!" Smolder shouted as she threw a Baku-core to her partner.

"You got it!" She shouted as she absorbed the core and unleashed a barrage of fireballs straight towards Leonidas.


Phaedrus B-power: 650.


"Leo, Golden Guard!" Shine called out as threw a Baku-core to his partner. Leo absorbed the Baku-core before he created a shield to block the attack.


Leonidas B-power: 800.


"Don't think we're going down that easy!"

"Oh please, you should be used to be losing by now!" Smolder taunted. "Charge forward, Phaedrus!" Her Bakugan partner move forward before moving her body to hit the ground and throw a bunch of rocks right at Leonidas. Leonidas used his claws and wings to block the incoming rocks being flung at him.

"Nice one, Leo!" Shine cheered. "Now counter that with Aurelus Laser." Leonidas then fired a golden beam from his mouth straight at Phaedrus. 

"We saw that coming!" Smolder shouted with a smug tone as Phaedrus did a evasive maneuver to dodge the attack.

"Leo, our best move! Aurelus Flame Wave!" Shine called out.

"But that would leave me wide open." Leo protest.

"Uh, you're already open!" Shine told him as the others watch from a hillside.

"Just because it's a practice match, doesn't mean you shouldn't try Leo!" Falcron called out.

"Okay Phaedrus, let's end this!" Smolder shouted as she threw a Baku-core to her partner.


Phaedrus B-power: 900.


"Bit Blast!" Phaedrus declared as she unleashed a bombard of fireballs straight at Leonidas while his back was turned. The moment he saw it coming, it was too late to dodge as it was too close.


Leonidas B-power: 500.


"Leo!" Shine called out in concern when his partner got knocked back. When Leo stood back up, he noticed that Phaedrus was nowhere to be seen. Little did he know that she managed to hide in the smoke from the blast and got behind him.

"Finish it!" Smolder shouted as Phaedrus change up the final attack. "Twisting Inferno!" Phaedrus unleashed a beam of flames straight at Leo and the moment he turned to see it coming, it landed and his B-power dropped to zero.


Leonidas B-power: 0.


Leo returned to ball form and fell to the ground before Shine went over and picked him up. "Oh yeah! I won! Dragons rule!" Smolder bragged as she won the battle.

"Okay, me and Sairus are up next." Ocellus said as she held up her Bakugan. Shine let out a disappointed scarf before he joined the others on the hillside while Ocellus rolled out Sairus. Leo popped open and flew up to Shine as Sairus and Phaedrus battle.

"But Shine, we lose when I do just what you say." Leo complained as they watched the battle.

"We just need to practice so that we can win." Shine told him. "Maybe if you just trusted me, Leo."

"'Trust'? Bakugan were born to battle." Leo told Shine. "You should be the one trusting me, Shine." The whole day, the seven of them continued to have battles with their Bakugan. The girls decided to play a little fun with the boys as their Bakugan kind of scared them into the water. Their Bakugan continued to battle all night until the following day.





Shine and the Young Six are in Headmare Twilight's office and looking dead tired. "Have any of you gotten any sleep?" Twilight asked as she is concerned for them. "Each of your teachers said that you all fell asleep in class and can barely keep your heads up."

"Sorry, Headmare Twilight..." Shine said as he let out a loud yawn.

"We really are..." Ocellus said as she laid on the couch next to Yona and Sandbar. "Our Bakugan really wanted to battle all night..."

"So tired..." Smolder groan as she was laying back to back with Sliverstream and Gallus.

"The Bakugan have so much energy when they battle..." Gallus complained as each other Bakugan partners popped open and looked at them.

"Well I guess I can let this slide." Twilight told them. "But you all should put a boundaries with your partners if this is the result every day. I'll even let you sleep here to help."

"Thank you, Headmare Twilight..." Each of them said as they were either laying on the floor or on one of the two couches.

"We definitely needed this..." Shine said before Leo hovered above him.

"You definitely do not need this!" He shouted as the other Bakugan hopped on to their partners. "What we really need is battles!"

"Lots of battles!" The Bakugan shouted in unison.

"Feel free to keep on going guys..." Shine told them as he turned to his side. "Right now we sleep, and eat, do bathroom stuff, maybe shower..."

"Shine, could you not talk so much? I'm trying to sleep here..." Smolder complained.

"Snap out of it!" Leo shouted. "I need to fight in a real Bakugan battle, like we did with Falcron."

"We will, soon, like tomorrow..." Shine told them.

"Bakugan Battle! Bakugan Battle! Bakugan Battle!" Their Bakugans started to chant. Silverstream tried to cover her ears to block them out as did Gallus.

"Give it a rest already!!" Smolder shouted at them as she was getting annoyed with them. "I can't sleep with all that racket!!"

"Yona so tired..." Yona groaned. "But Yona can't sleep, because Yona is so hungry..." She had a hungry look on her face that made Shine jump up.

"Something tells me that you don't want to be near a yak when it's hungry." He said as he is a little afraid of being near Yona at the moment.

"Fine, me and Shine will go get food for everyone." Leo said as he flew up next to him.

"Wait, me?"

"Other than Twilight, you're the only one who's standing up right now." Leo explained to him. "Plus your grandfather already gave you lunch money.

"I'll come with." Twilight told them as she got her saddle bag ready. "There are some things I want to ask Leo about and this might be a good opportunity." As they walked out, the Young Six waved them off in a sleepy tone before they rested their heads.





Both Shine and Twilight are making their way to the local hay burger place while Leo hovers next to Shine. "Like I don't get tired, huh Leo?" He spoke up as they walked.

"We need to battle more, Shine." Leo told him. "If we want to get better, we got to keep at it and--"

"Are you still going on about that stuff?" Twilight asked Leo.

"I feel like you both are holding me back from my full battle potential." Leo told them both.

"Leo, you woke up from a long sleep like a few weeks ago while your friends popped out of the ground." Shine told him when stopped. "So what potential?"

"We can learn through battles!" Leo answered with enthusiasm. "Look around you, potential battles are all around us." He pointed to a group of ponies walking by. "Those ponies for example."

"You can't attack ponies!" Twilight quickly told Leo before he pointed to some trees.

"Okay, that tall green creature."

"That's a tree, it doesn't move and we can't fight plants." Shine told him before Leo pointed to a train.

"That metal monster is eating ponies, we should battle it!"

"That's a train and ponies ride in it to get places!" Shine quickly explained. "Look, we battled Bakugan and only Bakugan. Why are you so focused on battling?"

"So I can get stronger and to be honest, I'm not quite sure myself." Leo admitted before they heard roaring coming from nearby.

"It's a monster!" They heard somepony screamed as they saw ponies run away. They were quickly ran into the direction where the ponies were running away from and saw a green mantis like Bakugan towering over the burger place.

"A Bakugan?!" Shine exclaimed when they saw it.





Back at the school, the Young Six were fast asleep while their Bakugan partners watched them and getting a little impatient. "Geez, how much sleep do they need?" Sairus asked the others.

"Too much, I'm done waiting!" Sharktar told them before he went over to Sliverstream. She started to push on her back before he pushed her off the couch and onto the floor, but she was still asleep after that. Trox got out a horn before squeezing the end and blasting Yona in the face with a loud noise to try and wake her up.

Turtonium rolled up into a ball as both Falcron and Phaedrus looked ready to launch them at their partners before Gallus's tail came swinging in and knock them away.





Back at the burger place, a lime green earth pony with a gauntlet like device on his hoof is leaning against a table in front of one of the employees with a smug look on his face. "I'm not going to say this twice," he said. "I want a large hay burger with extra pickles, a large chocolate milkshake, hold the chocolate, and all the cash you have."

"What...what is that thing?!" The employee asked as she was frightened by the Bakugan towering over the building.

"Haven't you heard the news? That's a Bakugan." He told the employee.

"Hey stop right there!" Shine called out to get his attention. "Who are you and what do you think you're doing?!"

"The name is Surge and it's quite obvious when I'm doing." He answered before he turned to the employee. "Is my shake ready yet?" She quickly snapped out of it before raced off to get his shake. "I wouldn't keep me waiting if I were you!"

"Surge, stop this at once or else I'll--" Twilight demanded before the Ventus Mantonoid stomped the ground.

"I don't think you're in a position to demand anything, princess." Surge said in a smug tone.

"What's this guy's problem? Bakugan shouldn't be used like this." Shine said in a angry tone. "It's despicable."

"Really, and who put you in charge of my Bakugan?" Surge asked before he noticed Leonidas hovering beside him. "Your brawler right? Mantonoid!" Said Bakugan went back to ball form before Surge caught it when it came down. "Why don't we settle this with a Bakugan battle?"

"That's just fine for me! Let's do this!" Shine shouted before Leo flew in front of him.

"Shine, this is going to be a real Bakugan battle." He told him. "Put up the Drome."

"The Drome? What's that?" Shine asked in confusion but Twilight knew what he is talking about.

"Just do as Leo said, hurry!" She told Shine.

"Still don't know what you're talking about, but here it goes. Drome up!" Shine shouted before a gust of winds swirled around before a dome appeared and started to expand. The Drome pushed Twilight, the burger place employee, and a few other ponies in the area as it expanded until is it expanded in a large area of Ponyville. Both Shine and Surge turned anthropomorphic while Shine is wearing the clothes from the first time the Drome was up and Surge is wearing a dark green vest with light green pants.

"The Drome keeps everyone outside and safe. Now we can really battle!" Leo explained before he folded up into a ball and landed in Shine's hand.

"Are you ready?" Surge taunted as he readied his Bakugan in one hand while holding his shake in the other.

"Here we go!" Shine shouted as readied Leo. "Bakugan Brawl!" He threw Leo at a golden Baku-core and popped open when he landed on it. "Bakugan, stand!" Leo then grew to giant size as the Baku-meter activated.


Bakugan Battle Commencing.

Leonidas B-power: 800.


"Bakugan Brawl!" Surge shouted as he threw his Bakugan at a Baku-core. "Bakugan, stand!" His Bakugan popped open when it landed before it grew to the same size as Leonidas.


Mantonoid B-power: 600.


"Blah!" Surge grunted after taking a sip of his milkshake before tossing it away. "Gross, needs chocolate."

Shine quickly picked up a Baku-core and threw it towards Leonidas. "Leo, Aurelus Laser!" He commanded as Leo charged up power before firing a beam right at Mantonoid.


Leonidas B-power: 950.


"Time to play!" Surge declared as he readied the device on his arm. Shine watched how when the device glowed before Mantonoid quickly dodged Leo's attack. "Mantonoid!" Surge then threw a Baku-core to Mantonoid. "Ventus trap!"


Mantonoid B-power: 750.


Mantonoid thrusted its arms around before throwing a ball of web straight towards Leo. The ball of web expanded before landing on Leo and covering him in web strings.


Leonidas B-power: 700.


"Leo!" Shine called out when he saw he could barely move with the webs all over him.





Back at the school, the Young Six continued to sleep as each other Bakugan partners got out a small glass as they were holding spoons. "Wakey wakey." They said as they got ready to wake them up before Smolder get up and shot them a death glare.

"Do it and it'll be the last thing you would do." She threatened them.





Back at the battle, a big puff of smoke was poofed in the Drome as Leo took damage from Mantonoid as Leo is unable to move with the webs all over him.


Leonidas B-power: 500.

Mantonoid B-power: 850.


Mantonoid continued to attack Leo as Shine watched. "Leo, look out!!" He warned.

"That's so sad." Surge mocked as Shine was looking for a Baku-core to help his partner. "You have no idea how to use a Bakugan. Control the Bakugan, you control the world!"

"What do you mean control the Bakugan?" Shine asked.

"Well how else do you get it to do exactly what you want?" Surge asked as held up the device on his arm.

"You can't be serious!" Shine shouted. "It's not about control at all! Bakugan are our friends!" He then spotted a golden Baku-core before he ran over to it and picked it up. "Leo, remember what Phaedrus did you during practice yesterday?! Let's use that!" He through the Baku-core to Leo and he absorbed it when it made contact.


Leonidas B-power: 750.


"Okay Shine!" Leo shouted before he stomped the ground to use Backdraft. The flames from that move traveled up the web and burn them, which set free Leo. Leo then used Backdraft again as the cracks on the ground traveled over to Mantonoid and did a huge amount of damage when it hit.


Mantonoid B-power: 500.


When the smoke cleared, both Surge and Mantonoid saw that Leo had disappeared. "Heads up!" Surge shouted at his Bakugan. "Now the enemy's behind you!" Leo is in the air behind Mantonoid. "Get it together!"

"Thanks Smolder and Phaedrus, that move really helped us out to get things back on track." Shine said with a smile.

"What do you suggest now?" Leo asked.

"I know what we need!" Shine told him. "Leo, just stall for time now!"

"You got it, Shine." Leo said as Surge picked up a Baku-core.

"Mantonoid, Optic Beat!" Surge commanded as he threw the Baku-core and Mantonoid absorbed it.


Mantonoid B-power: 750.


Mantonoid's eyes glowed before firing a laser beam straight towards Leo. Both Shine and Leo looked determined before they split up and dodged the blast. Shine went left while Leo went right. Mantonoid looked both ways and was confused as to who would go after. "Forget the colt, focus on the Bakugan!" Surge shouted at his Bakugan as Leo flew high into the air.

"Aurelus Bombard!" Leo declared as his wings glowed bright before he unleashed orbs of golden light straight at Mantonoid. Mantonoid used its blades to block each orb being shot at it while Shine picked up a Baku-core.

"Let's end this, Leo!" Shine shouted before threw the Baku-core to Leo to increase his B-power.


Leonidas B-power: 1000.


"Aurelus Flame Wave, let's go!" Both Shine and Leo declared in unison before Leo flew higher in the air before his wings glowed bright and the light shine down on Mantonoid. That he came thinner as Mantonoid took a big blow when that light exploded before Leo came down and an explosion happened behind him.


Mantonoid B-power: 0.


Mantonoid returned to ball form as it fell to the ground before Surge quickly picked it up. "So that's what it feels like to lose?" He said to himself as Leo return to ball form and Shine caught him. "Not much fun at all."

"Bakugan are our friends." Shine told him. "We shouldn't make them do bad things. Ponyville is under the protection of me and my friends, the Harmony Brawlers! You mess with this town, and you mess with us!"

"You'll be eating those words the next time I see you. Better watch your step." Surge promised before he ran off.





Later, Shine told Twilight but he won the battle but Surge ran away. "It's okay, we'll get him next time." She assured him before the cashier brought their order to the front in bags.

"Here's your order, your highness." She said before Shine and Twilight got out their wallets. "It's on the house."

"What, really?" Shine asked when she told them that.

"Yeah, considerate thank you for saving the burger joint." She told them with a smile.

"Hey, it was nothing." Shine said with a smile.

"What is 'on the house'?" Leo asked before they took their order.

"Free food." Both the cashier and Twilight answered. Both Twilight and Shine thanked her for the food before they made their way back to the school.





Once they came back and returned to Twilight's office, they find the Young Six well rested and up when they came in. "Finally, something to eat." Smolder said as Twilight levitated the food out of the bags and gave each of them a hay burger. She did Smolder a favor and replaced the hay in her burger with gems. Shine told them about his battle against Surge as they ate while he rested on the couch.

"So, you beat this weirdo and they gave you free food to say thanks?" Gallus recapped.

"Yeah, but now we know there are jerks out there who want to use Bakugan for bad things." Shine told them. "If I ever come across somepony like that again, let me tell you--"

"We have a Bakugan battle!" Leo quickly interrupted.

"A Bakugan Battle? You mean right now?" Sharktar asked excitedly.

"Yes, that works!" Trox said.

"Come on, let's battle!" Sairus demanded excitedly.

"As soon as we finish eating." Ocellus told them before they heard snoring coming from Shine. They looked over and saw him and Leo both fast asleep.

"Looks like we'll practice quietly." Sandbar whispered as him and Sliverstream placed a blanket on Shine. "These two deserve a little rest."
> Chapter 3: Foal's Play; Bullies and How to Deal with Them

The Harmony Brawlers are currently out in the field having a practice battle as it's Yona versus Shine. Leonidas threw a punch at Trox counter attack with a headbutt as their partners ran around for a Baku-core. "Trox, Rock Riser!" Yona called out as she picked up a Baku-core and threw it towards Trox.


Trox B-power: 750


Trox dumped his right foot on the ground, which caused it to glow before sharp rocks appeared and headed straight for Leonidas. Leo however quickly dodge the attack by flying up and doing aerial maneuvers around Trox. "Nice move, Leo!" Shine called out as Leo knotted in response.

"Chase down Leo!" Yona told Trox.

"I'm on it!" Trox then began to chase down Leo as he ran at full speed. Leo saw him chasing as he did a few u-turns to try to get away from him. Leo turned to see Trox catching up to him as he let out a chuckle. Just when it looked like Trox was about to pounce, Leo quickly flew up to dodge him and Trox was heading straight for some trees. "Uh oh!" Trox gasped right before he crashed right into the trees.

"Trox, no!" Yona called out as the dust settled and they saw him with a few fallen trees behind him on the ground.

"That was Leo's fault!" Trox blamed as he stood up.

"How was that my fault?!" Leo questioned as he landed in front of him. Both Bakugan and their Brawlers started laughing before Shine noticed the damage that had been done.

"Man, we really did some damage around here." He mentioned before he looked at Yona. "We should really be more careful around here."

"But was still fun!" Yona shouted excitedly as Trox and Leo returned to ball form. "Trox smash hard!"

"Yeah, but we're lucky no one got hurt." Shine mentioned before the others walked up to them.

"He's right, we have to be more careful when we're brawling." Ocellus said as she looked at the damaged trees. "We get focused on one thing, we lose focus on everything."

"But Yona and Shine just practicing." Yona simply said.

"It's really not practicing if we're just smashing up trees." Gallus mentioned as he placed his claws behind his head.

"We know Yaks like to smash things and stuff, but we need to be more careful." Shine told her. "You need to be more careful of our surroundings if we battle with the Drome isn't up. We could get into some serious trouble if we're not careful. We could really hurt someone or something if we don't be careful."

"Are you going to let them talk to you like that?" Trox asked Yona as she shook her head.

"Friends just looking out for Yona." She told Trox. "Yona understands and try to be more careful. Yona just wanted to have fun."

"We do too, but there's a difference between having fun and wrecking things." Silverstream mentioned. "By the way, we better get back to our projects for Fluttershy's class."

"Oh yeah, come on Yona!" Shine called out. "We better find some birds somewhere in town." Yona nodded in agreement before the two of them went into town.





Both Shine and Yona were looking around town Gathering some bird feathers or even taking some photos of birds. Shine noticed Yona was pouting a little as they were walking. "Look Yona, this isn't YakYakistan where you can smash things and things will be okay." He told her. "We're not trying to be all high and mighty and stuff. "We just don't want to see you getting in trouble."

"What is high and mighty?" Leo asked Shine.

"Nothing, we were just trying to give her some advice about being careful, especially about using Bakugan." Shine told Leo.

"Yona know, but Yona not small yak!" Yona complained. "Yona don't need lectures!" They then heard some loud commotion, like something was being smashed nearby.

"Did any of you hear that?!" Trox asked when they heard it.

"Yeah, and it sounds like…" Shine spoke up as he listened closely and could hear the sounds of Bakugan being rolled out.

"Bakugan!" All four of them exclaimed before they went to the source of the noise. They soon came to a park where they found three large scorpion-like Bakugan scuttling about. One was red, another was green, and the third one was blue.

"Huh, three Scorporos." Leo said after seeing the three Bakugan. He also saw three colts running around with the three scorporos. They also saw they were triplets as they almost look alike if it weren't for their coats and manes being different colors. One wearing glasses had a dark green coat with light green mane and tail, the second was red with a dark red manr, and the third was light blue with a dark blue mane.

"Are they training?" Shine asked when he saw the green call back the green Scorporos before rolling it back out again. The blue one was riding on top of his Scorporos well causing a bit of damage to the ground while the red one stood on top of his Scorporos while it stood on top of a damaged jungle gym.

"Colts need work." Yona commented after seeing the damage they're causing. A Bakugan ball then flew past their heads before the red colt ran over and picked it up.

"Hey, what are you doing?!" Shine called out to the three colts.

"Who, me?" The colt asked before he saw Shine and Yona, which caused him to smile brightly. "Hey guys look, it's Shine, leader of the Harmony Brawlers!"

"And Yona, the strong hard hitter of the bunch!" The green colt exclaimed.

"You both are so awesome!" The blue one told them.

"And look, they got Leonidas and Trox with them!" The red one pointed out.

"Um, how do you know us?" Shine asked the three colts.

"We heard about you guys, especially you Shine, about how you beat this bad guy who threatened a burger place!" The green colt told him. "We're huge fans! The Harmony Brawlers are the best! That's why we went out and found our own Bakugan!"

"Found them?" Yona repeated.

"Yeah, we had to look really hard too!" The blue colt added. "We had to dig holes."

"A lot of holes!" The red colt added. "Ponies cried a lot, and shouted."

"That explains the many holes in the backyard of my home." Shine mentioned. "But seriously, who are you three?"

"We are Rowdy Reds!" All three of them declared.

"I'm Blitz!" The red one introduced himself.

"I'm Tidal Wave!" The blue colt introduced himself.

"And I'm Whirlwind!" The green one added.

"Rowdy Reds show flair, but did too much smashing." Yona spoke up. "Bakugan are fun, but look what ponies doing to park."

"What do you mean?" Tidal asked Yona. "This is our playground, we're going have as much as we want here!"

"Just like the Harmony Brawlers!" Blitz declared excitedly before all three of them chanted the 'Harmony Brawlers'.

"They're acting just like Yona." Leo mentioned.

"Ponies act like yak?" Yona asked before she shook her head and walked over to them. "Ponies listen to experts, when ponies use Bakugan, ponies think about surroundings. That way, ponies won't smash things."

"Isn't that what me and the others told her?" Shine whispered to Leo.





The next day, the Harmony Brawlers had sat down together for lunch as Shine told the others what happened yesterday. "Did Yona seriously tell those kids what we told her?" Smolder questioned with a raised brow.

"That's kind of ironic considering you try to tell her the same thing." Phaedrus mentioned.

"But at least they were stopping their antics." Shine mentioned as he fed Patches a carrot stick. "They were really focused on playing with their Bakugan."

"Yona admits, Yona should be more careful." Yona spoke up. "And Yona is also sorry about yesterday."

"But do you really think that really younger ones than yourselves will listen to you?" Falcron asked them.

"Well, we're not really sure actually." Shine mentioned, with an uneasy tone. "But maybe just to be safe, we should go check up on them after school."

"I'll come with you, just see cock convincing Yona was." Smolder spoke up as she was enjoying her lunch.





The three of them soon came to the park where they saw a massive property damage being done by the Rowdy Reds and their Scorporos. "Yup, they definitely need more convincing." Shine sighed before one of them jumped on a jungle gym to cause a gust of wind to blow. "It's like they didn't listen to a thing you told them, Yona!"

"Yona confused!" She spoke up. "Why young ponies still do damage?!"

"Well maybe we can convince them in another way!" Smolder mentioned as she took out Phaedrus.

"Now wait, let's go easy on them considering they're younger than us." Shine stopped her before he spotted the Rowdy Reds. Smaller crossed her arms before rolling her eyes and giving a nod. "Drome up!" He called out before the Drome expanded and transformed not only him, Yona, and Smolder, but the Rowdy Reds too. Each of them were now wearing overalls with each of the attribute symbols of their Bakugan on the front.

"What's this?" All three of them asked with curiosity as the Drome expanded into a large area and pushed others out.

"Bakugan, brawl!" Shine, Yona, and Smolder shouted before they threw their Bakugan into battle. "Bakugan, stand!" They called out as their Bakugan landed on the same color Baku-core and popped open. They then grew the giant size as they prepared for battle.

"Hey Rowdy Reds, did you forget everything Yona tried to tell you yesterday?!" Shine called out.

"You're not the boss of us!" Blitz shouted back.

"You and Yona are not so great!" Whirlwind pouted.

"And Yona smells bad!" Tidal added. "We're just having a little fun! So stay out of it!"

"Looks like they won't listen to reason, so we're going to have to do this the hard way." Smolder said as she picked up a Baku-core and threw it at Phaedrus. "Spiral Flame!"


Phaedrus B-power: 705


Phaedrus unleashed a stream of lanes that almost hit the three Scorporos, but the impact brought them down a few points. "If it's a battle the Harmony Brawlers want, then let's give it to them Scorporos!" Blitz declared as all three of them stood tall.

"At least it's a three on three match!" Trox pointed out.

"Just remember, we're going to teach these three a really important lesson!" Shine mentioned as Blitz threw a Baku-core to his Scorporos.

"Lets go red, Poison Sting!" Blitz declared as his Bakugan got power up to 850 B-power and unleashed some poison sludge right at Trox.

"Leo, Sun Shield!" Shine called out as he threw a Baku-core to Leo.


Leonidas B-power: 950


Leo quickly flew in front of Trox and created an energy shield that blocked the attack. "Aqua Slicer!" Tidal declared as he threw a Baku-core to his Bakugan raising it to also 850. The blue Scorporos' claw aimed right for Leo before Trox quickly jumped over and knocked it back before it could land, knocking its B-power to 550.

"Tail sweep, green!" Whirlwind declared as he powered up his Scorporos to 850 as well. The attack hit the three Bakugan as they were brought down 300 B-power.

"Trox, here Baku-core!" Yona called out as she picked one up. She was about to throw it before the Rowdy Reds quickly climbed onto her, stopping her from throwing the core. Blitz tried to reach for the core while she struggled to get free.

"Okay, now that is just plain ridiculous." Smolder mentioned with an eye roll.

"Hey, you forget there's three of us!" Shine called out to the Rowdy Reds as he threw a Baku-core to Leo.


Leonidas B-power: 750


"Let's try that too!" Blitz called out as they let go of Yona and threw Baku-cores to their Bakugan, raising them to 1100 B-power. The battle started getting intense as dust was getting kicked up into the air.

"Things are getting intense!" Smolder called out before she jumped back when a rock flew out and nearly hit her. "Too close!" Her, Shine, and Yona saw that their Bakugan were getting exhausted and weren't going to last much longer as they were at 100 B-power. "Phaedrus!" Smolder then threw a core at her Bakugan to raise her B-power to 350. "Fly high!"

"You got it!" Phaedrus responded as she flew in the air.

"Hey, our Bakugan can't fly!" Whirlwind complained.

"And Scorporos going to be cornered!" Yona added as she threw a Baku-core to Trox, raising his B-power to 450. "Rock Riser!" He stomped the ground to create a wall around the three Scorporos.

"Phaedrus, Twisting Inferno!" Smolder called out as Phaedrus released a stream of flames at the opponent. The attack landed and not only did it hit, but it also set the park ablaze as each Scorporos was on fire and brought down to 100 B-power.

"Our Bakugan!" All three Rowdy Reds shouted.

"They're such big meanies!" Blitz complained before he ran over and picked up a Baku-core, just as his brothers did.

"Stop!" Shine called out as he stood in front of them. "Stand down, all three of you! This ends now!"

"But look what Phaedrus did to our park!" Tidal complained with a sad look.

"Yeah, but it's only going to get worse if we keep battling." Smolder pointed out. "So you're going to have to call it quits."

"What's the diff?" Blitz asked with an upset look. "It's trashed already."

"This no fun, is it?" Yona asked the Rowdy Reds with a sincere look. "So we stop battle?" The Ronnie Reds looked down as they nodded in response.

"This battle is over then. Drome down!" Shine called out before the Drome went down and the flames disappeared, along with the damage that had been done during the battle.

"Hey, our park!" Whirlwind called out excitedly with a smile.

"You see, anything destroyed inside the Drome during battle goes back to normal when the battle is over or we call it." Shine explained to them before he pointed to the destroyed jungle gym. "But anything destroyed outside before the Drome goes up no matter what, stays destroyed."

"Oh boy…" Blitz gasped after seeing the mess they made. "We need to clean this mess up."

"Don't worry, because the three of us are going to help out." Shine mentioned as he gestured to himself, Smolder, Yona, and their Bakugan. "Just promise you'll be more careful next time."

"We promise!" All three Rowdy Reds promised. It wasn't long before all six of them began to clean up the mess and fixed up at the park. It may have taken them nearly all day to do so, but it was worth it as the Rowdy Reds learned to be more careful when playing with Bakugan.





A week later, the Rowdy Reds were seen brawling against the Cutie Mark Crusaders in the park, this time with the Drome up. Apple Bloom was wearing a red blazer with a yellow pattern on the bottom of the jacket while she was wearing blue jeans and her Bakugan partner was a centaur-like Bakugan as it had a shield on one arm and held a spear in its other hand. Scootaloo was wearing a green sleeveless jacket with torn jeans while her Bakugan was a Ventus Pegatrix. Sweetie Belle was wearing a white jacket with light blue sleeves as she was wearing a matching skirt while her Bakugan was a tiger-like Bakugan.

"Tigress, Crystal Claw!" Sweetie Belle called down as she picked up a Baku-core and threw it to her Bakugan, causing its B-power to go to 750 as claws grew from its paws.

"Pegatrix, Wing Cutter!" Scootaloo called out as she powered up her Bakugan to 850 B-power.

"And Zentaur, Fire Spear!" Apple Bloom declared as she powered up her Bakugan to 900 B-power. Just before the six Bakugans could collide, something came by and struck all of them. It was moving too fast for them to see, but it looked red as he continued to strike them at super speed. They were completely shocked as whatever Bakugan was attacking them kept it up until their Bakugan B-power went down to zero as they each went back to ball form. "What in tarnation just happened?!"

They then heard sinister laughter before they turned to see a colt wearing a red hoodie with an orange coat and a dark red mane. Soon the Bakugan that attacked them stopped behind him and stood tall as it added sharp claws and looked like a warrior type Bakugan. "You see that?" The colt asked with a smug tone. "You brats don't stand a chance against me and my Zaldun! I, the great Striker, am the best Bakugan brawler there is!"

"But attacked our Bakugan from out of nowhere, that's not a fair battle!" Scootaloo argued before Striker snapped his fingers. Zaldun then jumped up and stomped the ground, causing a big gust of wind to blow towards them and knock them towards the ground. They all looked up with scared looks as Striker let out another sinister laugh.

"From now on, this park belongs to me!" Striker declared as the Cutie Mark Crusaders, Blitz, and Tidal Wave looked worried. The only one who wasn't scared and looked at Striker in awe was Whirlwind.





Meanwhile at the School of Friendship, the Harmony Brawlers were in the library as most of them were studying, Shine was mostly writing something down in a book himself. "Hey Shine, what are you doing?" Sandbar asked as he leaned in and saw that he was writing down some rules. "Why are you writing down rules?"

"I just thought it would be safe if there were some rules with Bakugan, just so there isn't any trouble with them." Shine explained. "Like how to use them, only to battle, and other things like that. I just don't want things ending up bad and every creature would end up fearing Bakugan."

"Oh come on, you're totally overreacting." Smolder spoke up with an eye roll. "I mean if things do go bad, we'll just use our Bakugan to take care of it." She even tossed up her Bakugan before catching it in her claws. "I mean we're totally like the best in town and we totally deserve some respect and everything."

"What are you talking about?" Gallus asked her.

"Back in the Dragon Lands, there's one thing that dragons respect about all others, and that is how powerful you are." Smolder explained to them. "I mean Shine here beat some creep that was threatening a burger place, and we sort of set right a bunch of colts in the park. If anything, they should be thanking us or giving us awards or something."

"I think all these victories are going to your head." Shine told her. "You know what we call those who pick on the weak around here? Bullies. It's not cool to be bullied or being a bully."

"I'm just saying we should be getting the Royal Treatment or something." Smolder mentioned before the doors to the library burst opened and both the Cutie Mark Crusaders and two of the Rowdy Reds ran in.

"Harmony Brawlers, help us!" Blitz and Tidal shouted, causing everyone in the library to shush them.

"Whoa, why don't you tell us what's wrong outside the library?" Shine whispered to them before the entire group left the library. After that, the Cutie Mark Crusaders, Bliz, and Tidal explained everything that happened in the park. "Are you serious right now?"

"Yeah, he came out of nowhere and attacked our Bakugan." Apple Bloom replied.

"Yeah, and we were right in the middle of our own battle when he attacked." Sweetie Belle mentioned.

"Striker's Bakugan moved so fast our Bakugan didn't have time to defend themselves." Scootaloo added with frustration.

"And after that, he kicked us out of her own Park." Blitz spoke up. 

"We could go to any adults, but he has a Bakugan with him." Tidal added. "So we came to you for help."

"Well of course you did." Smolder told them in a smug tone. "That's only because we're the best there ever is!"

"Please feel free to ignore her." Ocellus told them as she walked to them. "We'll see what we can do about this Striker guy."

"Yeah, but first let's see what he's done to the park of yours." Shine spoke up as he looked at Leonidas. "And if things go south, then we'll start battling him."





The moment they arrived, he saw some pretty big changes. "What's the deal here?" Shine asked as they could see banners of Stryker on them and a big stage where Striker is sitting on a couch like it was a throne with his Bakugan, Zaldun standing beside it. "So that's his Bakugan?" He then checked his Bakumeter and was seeing the data on Zaldun.

"Well that doesn't help much." Gallus mentioned before they were suddenly sprayed in the face with a water gun. They then saw Whirlwind holding a water gun at them as he had a grin on his face.

"This is King Striker's kingdom, you can't come in without permission!" He declared.

"Whirlwind?!" His brothers exclaimed with confusion before he started spraying them with his water gun again.

"Oh servant colt!" Striker called out as he stomped his hoof. "I'm thirsty, servant!" Whirlwind quickly stopped spraying them and rushed to Striker with a soda can.

"Right here, your majesty." He said with about as the others looked at him with weird looks. "King Striker is the best and not a party pooper like boring old Shine Hope there and his Lamer Brawlers!" Whirlwind told them as Striker was enjoying his drink. "He lets me do anything I want!"

"What's with Whirlwind…" Blitz asked as he and his brother looked at Whirlwind with disbelief.

"Looks like he went over to the dark side, which is obviously Striker's side." Sandbar mentioned, as Striker finished his drink and threw the can away.

"You had all better bow down to me too, that's the only way I'll let you join my kingdom, Brawlers." Striker told them. "And if you try to define me… Zaldun!" His Bakugan had her claws glow red before she swiped them to send a slash wave at the ground. This caused both World Wind and Striker to laugh as the others were startled by this.

"Striker, why do you do unkind things like this?" Zaldun asked him with concern. "Why are you threatening them?"

"Zaldun my friend, you don't understand how this world works yet." Striker told her. "Just keep quiet and do what I say!" Zaldun let out a small growl as Striker turned back to the Brawlers. "Bow down now Harmony Brawlers!"

"You're kidding, right?!" Shine shouted back. "There's no way we're listening to you! We won't let you get away with this!"

"Yeah, and if you want to do it the hard way, we're more than happy to oblige!" Smolder declared as she prepared her Bakugan. "We'll take this park back with a Bakugan battle!"

"Works for me!" Striker replied as he jumped down from the big stage. "I'll show you who's the strongest brawler here, I'll even take you all on!"

"Drome up!" Both Shine and Smolder called out as the Drome appeared and expanded. "Bakugan, Brawl!" Both of them then threw their Bakugan at the same color Baku-core and were close to landing on them.

"Now Zaldun!" Striker called out before Zaldun kicked her legs to create a big gust of winds that stopped both Leonidas and Phaedrus from landing on the Baku-cores. Both Shine and Smolder then saw their Bakugan being flown right out of the park. "Nice one! Ha!" They heard Striker let out a sinister laugh as Smolder glared at him.

"Hey, that's not fair!" She complained as Zaldun let out another growl.

"Guys, you take care of Striker while me and smolder find her Bakugan!" Shine instructed the others before he walked over to Sandbar. "But not you, I have something important for you to do." He then whispered something into his ear before he stepped back and they both nodded. Then both Shine and Smolder went to go find their Bakugan while Sandbar ran off in a different direction.

"Okay, looks like it's up to us now." Ocellus mentioned as she and the others readied their Bakugan. "We can't let him get away with this, and we're not going to fall for his tricks." They then turned in the direction away from Zaldun as they readied their Bakugan.

"Bakugan, Brawl!" Ocellus, Gallus, Silverstream, and Yona declared as they threw their Bakugan at the same color Baku-core of their prospective Bakugan. "Bakugan, Stand!" They each declared once they landed on each Baku-core and popped open. They then grew to giant size as Sairus, Sharktar, Trox, and Falcron were ready for battle.

"Bring it on!" Falcron challenged as they faced Zaldun.





Meanwhile outside the Drome, both Shine and Smolder parted some bushes as they were looking for their Bakugan. "I can't believe that guy is playing dirty." Smolder complained as they searched.

"You can say that again." Shine agreed as they looked around. "Leo, where are you?!"

"Phaedrus, come on!" Smolder called out.

"Up here, Smolder!" They heard Phaedrus called out before they looked up and saw her and Leonidas up in a tree, inside of a bird's nest.

"Get us out of here!" Leo called out before the baby birds started packing at the two.





Back at the battle, Zaldun jumped high into the air and landed a few feet away from the other bakugan. They chased after her before they suddenly fell into a big hole in the ground. "Wait, what just happened?!" Gallus questioned.

"It's a trap, guys, and we fell for it!" Ocellus told the others as each of their Bakugan B-power went down to 100 from that trap as both Striker and Whirlwind laughed.

"Bully pony not play fair!" Yona complained with a glare.

"Zaldun, Flame Claws right now!" Striker commanded.

"But Striker, shouldn't we fight fairly?" She asked him. "I don't want to fight in a cowardly battle like this."

"Listen up Zaldun, I'm your partner and you have to do whatever I say like it or not!!" Striker shouted at her.

"But…" Zaldun spoke as she looked down with a sad look.

"ZALDUN!!" Striker shouted with anger. Zaldun clutched her fist as she didn't want to fight a battle like this, but she had no choice.

"Flame Claws!" She declared as she slashed both her claws right at the Bakugan that were in the hole. The Bakugan in the hole saw the slash wave coming right at them and had nowhere to go as it made contact as dust got kicked up, making Striker laugh happily at that.

"Way to go, Zaldun!" He shouted before he pointed towards the Brawlers, the Cutie Mark Crusaders, and Whirlwind's brothers. "Next it's time to take on some smaller targets!"

"You mean them?!" Zaldun questioned in shock, while Whirlwind looked just as shocked. Striker then picked up a Baku-core and threw to her to increase her B-power to 850.

"Wait your majesty please, you can't attack other creatures." Whirlwind pleaded before Striker pushed him to the ground.

"Out of my way, servant colt." He told him before he noticed Zaldun wasn't attacking. "What are you waiting for, Zaldun?! Do it!" Zaldun looked towards the Brawlers and the others as the Brawlers stood in front of the younger ones. "Are you refusing?!"

"This battle is wrong!" Zaldun told Striker. "It's an unfair fight!"

"Just do as I say, Zaldun!" He shouted at her. Zaldun looked back at them as she was struggling with something inside of her. "Zaldun!" The Brawlers can hear her growl in frustration and can feel something wrong is about to happen. "Do it now!!" Zaldun held her head as she continued to struggle with herself before her eyes glowed yellow and yelled out in frustration before she launched multiple fireballs everywhere from her claws. Everyone was frightened by this sudden action while Striker just had a grin on his face. "Yes!" 

Whirlwind then saw a fireball heading straight for his brothers and grew worried. "Bliz! Tidal!" He called out with a worried tone right before both Leonidas and Phaedrus flew in and blocked the attack with their bodies. The others then saw both Shine and Smolder running towards them.

"Looks like we've made it just in time." Shine mentioned before they saw Zaldun making wild attacks everywhere. Her claw attacks were destroying everything around them as Leo and Phaedrus looked back at Shine and Smolder. "You ready to do this?"

"Always!" Smolder replied with a thumbs up before they saw claw slashes heading right for Striker and Whirlwind.

"Oh, that's not good!" Striker gasped before Leonidas quickly used his body to block the attack, making his B-power go down to 350. Leonidas groaned in pain from that attack before Zaldun started to attack him with a bunch of flurries blows to his back, knocking his B-power bit by bit. Phaedrus tried to help as she flew in, but was knocked back when Zaldun kicked her. "That's right, Zaldun! Keep up the pressure!"

"That's how you thank Leonidas for saving you?!" Whirlwind thought as he couldn't believe what Striker was having his Bakugan do. "You're a bad boy." The long pigtails on Zaldun's head glowed bright as she started to spin around on one hand. It looked like she was about to deliver the final blow before Turtonium came in and knocked her back.

She was then knocked away by Sharktar with his water blast and she got knocked in some rocks when Trox used Rock Riser. "Guys." Phaedrus spoke up when she saw them and the others, completely fine.

"I'm just glad we finally made it out of that hole." Sairus mentioned as she and Falcron helped her up.

"And just in time too." Falcron added as Zaldun stood up.

"Let's go Leo!" Shine called out as he picked up a Baku-core and threw it to him, making his B-power go up to 350. "Counterattack with Tail Crusher!"

"You got it!" Leo Road as he flew towards Zaldun. He then swung his tail and knocked her away, making her B-power go down. She quickly landed on her feet as Leo flew towards her again and began delivering a fury of blows as she guarded with her arms.

"What's your problem, Zaldun?!" Striker shouted. "Fight back! Do something other than defend!!"

"I…can't… anymore…of this… cowardly battle!!" Zaldun shouted as her eyes returned to normal, which surprised everyone as Leonidas stopped attacking.

"Shine, did you hear that?" Leo asked him.

"Yeah, I did." Shine replied before he looked at Striker. "Striker, consider this battle over!"

"No it's not!!" Striker quickly shouted. "Zaldun, what are you doing standing there?! Attack them now!! Take Leonidas down!!"

"No." Zaldun replied as she shook her head.

"I'm your partner, do what I say! Listen to me now, I demand total loyalty!!" Striker demanded as Smolder let out a small gasp. "What I say gose!! Now keep fighting!!"

"So this is what Shine meant what he said earlier." Smolder thought to herself as she remembered what Shine told her about bullies. "Maybe it's a good thing Dragon Lord Ember sent me to the School of Friendship, for the sake of all dragons."

"You are a Bakugan! You serve me! Now fight you monster this instant!" Striker continued shouting at Zaldun.

"That's enough!!" Smolder shouted before she ran up and punched him in the face. "Bakugan are our friends! So stop acting like you own all of them! Like Shine said, this battle is over! Drome down!" The Drome soon went down and the damage that was caused during the battle was returned to normal as the Bakugan, except for Zaldun, went back to ball form as they went back to their Brawlers.

"You think this is over?!" Striker shouted as he rubbed his cheek from where Smolder punched him. "It's not over until I say it's-OW!" He cried out in pain when his ear was pulled by a magical aura before Twilight walked up to him.

"Yes, it is over." She spoke with a stern tone. "It's a good thing that Sandbar came to get and I overheard everything that happened here. Especially the 'it's time to take on smaller targets' part." Striker let out a gulp as he knew he was in trouble.

"So that's what you whisper into his ear before." Gallus told Shine with realization. "Very clever."

"Yeah, I knew once we dealt with this little problem, we needed an adult touch to deal with him." Shine explained before he let out a small laugh. Meanwhile, Whirlwind walked up to his brothers with a sad look.

"Hey guys, I'm sorry I sided with that jerk Striker." He apologized to them. "I didn't realize you didn't care who got hurt and only cared for power. Do you think you can forgive me?"

"Sure we can!" Blitz replied with a bright smile, along with Tidal Wave. "The three Rowdy Reds stick together no matter what forever!" The three of them hoofbumed each other as they had smiles on their faces

"Hey guys." Smolder spoke up as she walked up to her friends. "Sorry if I was sounding a bit arrogant earlier today. I was acting just like that Striker jerk."

"Hey it's okay, you were just getting a little overconfident and you understand that you feel sorry about it." Ocellus mentioned as the others nodded in agreement. Smolder looked at her friends as she had a smile on her face.

"Looks like they have learned their lesson." Twilight said as she looked towards them before looking back at Striker with a frown. "Now let's go have a little talk with your mother about all this."

"Before you do your highness, I have something to say to him." Zaldun spoke up before she looked at Striker. "Smolder and her friends have the right idea. All Creatures and Bakugan are friends. You've got it all wrong, Striker. You're not my partner anymore."

"You dump me, Zaldun, I dump you-OW!" Striker yelped as Twilight dragged him away by the ear. The harmony Brawlers, Cutie Mark Crusaders, and the Rowdy Reds let out small laughs as they can hear him pleading with Twilight not to get his mother involved in this.

"Thanks for getting our park back, Harmony Brawlers!" Tidal thanked them before Zaldun walked up to Smolder.

"Smolder, your words expressed how I feel." She told her. "I like to be your partner." This not only shocked Smolder, but the others as well.

"Zaldun wants to partner up with Smolder?!" Sandbar exclaimed.

"Can she even do that?!" Silverstream questioned before Zaldun returned to ball form and landed in Smolder's claws.

"I guess we have a new friend now." Phaedrus mentioned with a cheerful tone.

"Yeah, sounds good to me." Smolder said as she held up Zaldun's ball. "Welcome to the team, Zaldun."





In an unknown place, the white cloak figure looked down at the pool of water as she saw everything that had happened with the Harmony Brawlers. She was joined by five other cloaked figures that were in different colors: red, blue, green, black, and brow. "So these are the creatures that first awoke the Bakugan?" The blue cloaked figure asked in a female voice.

"And it seems they can bring out Bakugan's true power by the looks of it." The brown cloaked figure mentioned in a deep male voice. "They just don't know it yet."

"All they must do is keep battling and work together, for not only is our world in jeopardy, but now their world is in jeopardy as well." The white cloak figure added as the rest of the cloaked figures nodded in agreement.
