Dancing with you
At Canterlot, Discord was dressed up properly in a blue tuxedo as he waited patiently by the stairs. Tonight was the Grand Galloping Gala at Canterlot. But that was not the reason why he was here.
A couple of weeks ago, he has asked Fluttershy if she wanted to go with him to the Grand Galloping Gala. When she said that she would love to go with him, he was both excited and nervous at the same time. To him, Discord wanted to really tell Fluttershy how much he really cared about her more than anything else in Equestria and thought about telling her how much her loved her. However, a part of him was worried that she would not return those feelings back to him.
Although Discord kept telling himself that it wasn't gonna go well for him and Fluttershy, the thoughts of the beautiful girl who won into his heart helped calm him down.
Taking a deep breath, Discord said, "Okay, Discord. There's nothing to worry about. You'll be fine. Just go through this night without any problems and tell Fluttershy how you feel."
Some guests noticed something as they whispered among themselves. Noticing this, Discord raised a confused eyebrow. What's going on? What is it that's catching their attention? Turning his head to where they were gazing, Discord's eyes widen in surprise as he saw what it was that got everyone's attention.
Walking down the stairs was Fluttershy. She was wearing a beautiful aqua ballgown with a light pink skirt and light pink gloves. Her hair was styled really elegant and was decorated with beautiful red roses that matched the roses that were on her gloves and the one on her dress.
Once he saw how wonderfully dressed Fluttershy was, Discord was speechless. Never in his life had he ever seen anything ever so beautiful. He continued to look at her as she walked down the stairs before coming back to his senses. Clearing his throat, he approached Fluttershy as she descended down the stairs. She smiled as she looked Discord and he smiled back.
"Shall we go enjoy our time at the gala?" he asked, bowing to her.
Fluttershy gave a little giggle. "Of course," she said, giving a curtsie.
Wrapping her arm in Discord's, Fluttershy looked at Discord as they smiled at each other before they walked together into the grand ballroom.
They spent the past few hours chatting and discussing things that they have been doing as they enjoyed some of the food.
While they were busy chatting, Discord was trying to find the right moment to tell Fluttershy about how precious she is to him and that he loves her. Unfortunatly, he was still feeling a little nervous of what she might think and what she would say.
Noticing the worried look on Discord's face, Fluttershy stopped what she was talking about as she looked at her friend in concern.
"Discord? Are you okay?"
Once he heard her speak to him, Discord tried to stay calm while trying to find the right moment.
"Uh, yes. I'm fine." he said, nervously.
Fluttershy looked at him, not believing what he just said. "Are you sure? I've been noticing that you have been twiddling your fingers while we were talking and you've rather quiet. And I'm the one who's mostly quiet."
Discord saw that she could tell something was bothering him and he didn't know what to do. He wanted this night to be perfect for him and Fluttershy and confess his love. But all of his worries of being rejected by Fluttershy was making it stressful for him. But he knew that if he didn't do it, he would end up blowing it.
"Well... you see...," he said nervously.
"Yes?" Fluttershy asked, wondering what Discord wanted to tell her that was making him so nervous.
"I... I really...," Discord said, trying the right words to say.

Before he could say anything else, music began to play. The two of them turned their heads to where the music was coming from. On the stage was Countess Colorturara standing by a microphone while some musicians were playing some instruments. The guests stopped what they were doing and turned their attention to the stage as well.
As the musicians continued playing their instruments, Coloturara approached the micrphone and began singing. As she sang, some couples walked onto the floor and began dancing.
Watching the couples dance, Fluttershy got an idea as she smiled. Getting up from her chair, she approached Discord, who was wondering what she was doing.
Taking Discord by the hands, Fluttershy led him onto the dance floor where the other couples were dancing.
Finally understanding what Fluttershy had in mind for them both, Discord gulped nervously. He looked at Fluttershy as she smiled at him, not showing a sign of fear in her eyes, before they began dancing.
While Colorturara continued singing her song, both Fluttershy and Discord danced together. As they did, Discord no longer felt nervous and started to feel that his confidence was beginning to grow. Smiling at Fluttershy, Discord held his hand with Fluttershy's as they continued to dance.
The two of them never took their eyes off of each other as they danced. Discord twirls her a bit as they danced. All they could think about was dancing with only each other and no one else.
At that moment, Fluttershy did something that he didn't expect her to do. As they both turned slowly while dancing, Fluttershy laid her head on Discord's chest. The moment she laid her head on his chest, Discord was surprised for a moment before he smiled as they continued dancing. While they danced, Discord could feel his heart pounding even faster as he looked at Fluttershy.
As soon as Colorturara finished her song, Fluttershy and Discord had finished their dance with the other couples while the guests clapped and cheered for Colorturara's song.
Fluttershy and Discord just looked at each other romantically before they both walk out into the garden.
Outside, the two of them sat on a stone bench. They both looked at the starry sky before turning to each other. Finally, Discord places his hand onto Fluttershy. He was ready to tell her now.
"Fluttershy," Discord said.
"Yes?" she asked.
"I've been wanting to tell you something for awhile and I thought that this night would be perfect for me to tell you."
Fluttershy listened to him as he continued.
"You're the most beautiful girl I am lucky to have as a friend. You showed kindess to me and opened my heart. I think you are amazing and I really love you."
Once he revealed about the feelings he had for her, Fluttershy happily hugs him.
As she hugged him, she said, "Thank you so much for telling me this, Discord! I love you, too!"
Upon hearing what she said, Discord smiled happily.
When she finished hugging him, the two of them looked at each other for a moment before they kissed each other. The night sky shined with stars as they continued their romantic kiss.
