Chapter 1: "Why are they fighting?"

It is early spring in Ponyville. The ponies are enjoying the warm fresh air; it really puts them in a good mood. Princess Celestia is in town today, visiting the other ponies. Celestia known as the sun goddess because she raises the sun everyday. Celestia lives in Canterlot Castle on the mountain side which you actually see from Ponyville. . 

Princess Celestia is at the Sugercube Coner, eating cupcakes and drinking tea with the other ponies Twilight Sparkle, Applejack, Rarity, Rainbow Dash, and Pinkie Pie. Everypony is having a great time, some other, however were kind of nervous around the princess. While enjoying themselves, suddenly they heard a loud boom.

"What was that?" exclaimed Twilight.

The Booming sound continued; everypony ran outside to see what's really going on. Everypony stared at the mountains where all the sounds cames from. There are large dark clouds like strom coulds on the other side of the mountain. Everypony believed it to be only thunder. But that booming sound... it didn't sound like thunder. The princess knew that the other side of the mountain belonged to the humans, and that there is a war going on. The two of the Princess' Royal Guards came back from the mountains, One of the guards told the princess that the humans were a lot closer to Ponyville. The war zone used to be two or three miles away; now it's only a half mile closer.The ponies began to worry, and be afraid that the humans would come and destory their land.

"Princess?" asked Twilight Sparkle. "What happens if the humans come here?"

"Don't worry Twilight." said Princess Celestia. "The humans won't even notice we're here since I cast the spell."

What the princess meant was that she cast an invisible barrier which prevents people from seeing the town of Ponyville from the outside. If a person walks through it however they can see everything.

"Why are they fighting?" Pinkie Pie wondered. "And what for?"

"Well...." Princess Celestia tried to explain. But she was speechless; she knows there is a war going on, but she dosen't want to get involve with the human's affairs again. She used to see someone twenty years ago. The ponies hoped that the humans will stay away from Ponyville, and hoping they won't come and destroy their homes.

I'm writing this story because I was there. My name is Tommy Watson, 19 years old. I'm the a rifleman from the Army of Potomac, during the Battle of Chancellorsville, and here's my story. The day is May 6th, 1863. It's the American Civil War, what we really fighting for is freedom and liberating the slavery from the south.

On May 1st, 1863, our General, Joseph Hooker, lost his patience's against the Confederate Army. He decided to send us across the Rappahannock River, possibly his biggest mistake ever. Five days later, we're sitting ducks - many of our men kept getting shot at, and we lost more than a thousand soldiers over the past few days. General Hooker can't make up his mind, but this time he ordered his troops to fall back. The day is almost over, and it's raining heavily, it's wet and cold. The ground is fill of mud and dead soldiers, and I can barely walk in it. My feet are under six inches of mud. 

I was in the first trench with ten soldiers defending from the Confederate attack waves. It was endless. The ten of us managed to stay alive for the first two waves. Then came the fourth attack wave which nearly wiped us out. Now there's only three of us.

"We're going to stay here until the next wave." said the Sergeant turning to me. "Private Watson, go back and warn the captain, we can't hold out much longer, and tell him we need reinforcements!"

"Just the two of you?" I said. "Are you sure about this, Sarge?"

"Don't question me soldier! Now go!"

"Yes sir!"

I quickly ran back down the hill, and it was getting dark. When I almost got back down the hill, I can see Captain Henry Oliver, helping with his few soldiers getting back across the Rappahannock River. I can see that their won't be any other chance to send more men to the front line.

"Captain!" I shouted while I was running up to him.

"Thank goodness you're here!" said Henry. "Now help us to get these wounded back across the river."

"Captain, listen! There's only two men up there holding the line! They not going to hold out much longer! Is there anymore men that we can send?"

Captain Henry looked shocked, and he can't believe what he just heard. He was speechless for a moment, then suddenly the two soldiers came running back down the hill.

"They got the trenches!" yelled the Sergeant. "We're being over run!" 

"Oh great! We got twenty more wounded. How on earth are we going to send them all back across the river?"

"I guess we have to leave them here. It's the only way we can save ourselves."

I can't believe my ears. Leaving these wounded soldiers here to die. I couldn't accept that, some of them are my friends, and I don't want to see them die. I saw too many of my friends killed already. I came to my senses.

"Captain," I said. "I'll go, and distract them by running through the forest."

"No Private! I need you here to help the wounded."

"Captain! If you don't let me go, you all will be killed."

Captain Henry looked up the hill, and saw the Confederate soldiers approaching on top of the hill. Captain Henry knew that there's no chance to fight back. He turned to me. "Okay, go... just don't get yourself killed...and good luck."

Right after that, I ran up towards the hill. "Come on Rebels! Come and get me!" I started shooting at them with my lever action rifle(Henry Rifle), then I ran off into the forest. Henry and his men started to shoot at the rebels while their soldiers are getting the wounded back across the river. 

"Get that coward! Get him!" shouted one of the Confederate soldier.

I ran quickly as I could, even though the ground is very muddy. Maybe a half or fifty of the Confederate soldiers are chasing behind my back while shooting at me. I wasn't sure where I was going, I knew I was in the Wilderness Forest. It was getting really dark by then, and I couldn't see anything at all. I kept on going, keeping the Confederate away from my men as far as possible. I had ran maybe for a half mile now, as soon as I saw the opening up ahead, it was a steep hillside. It's a dead end. I turn around, took my rifle and start to shoot. I don't even know where I'm shooting at . I'm just shooting into the darkness. There's a soldier sneak up to me, which I didn't even notice. He popped out behind the tree, quickly shot me at the left side of my stomach, and then my right shoulder, which made me fall backwards. Instead of falling down onto the ground, I fell down the hill. It was like a endless drop, and I didn't know how I survive that fall. I was lying on the soaked ground, and I was barely alive. I can still hear the rebels talking, and they wanted to make sure I was dead for good. At that point, I didn't really care anymore, I wanted to join my lost friends in the heavens. But, suddenly, I hear voices. When I look up, I saw a yellowish light. It must be somebody walking nearby with there oil lantern. I tried to pick myself up, and I can barely stand. I have to worn them that the Confederate Army are nearby.

"Hey!" I called out.

"Who's there?" called the voice. It sounded like a young lady's voice. I tried to see who it was, but my visions are poor. I can't see things that clearly. 

"What's that? Something is moving." This time, a different female voice. When I got out of the bushes, even though I still can't see, and suddenly I heard them scream.

"AHHHHH!!! MONSTER!!!" screaming while running away.

"What? No! Please wait!" Then suddenly I can't feel my body, and I'm starting to loss conscious. I fell down to the ground and passed out.

Lyra the unicorn, and Bon Bon the earth pony ran back to Ponyville, alerting to the other ponies.

"There's a weird looking monster in the forest!" cried Bon Bon.

"It's horrible! HORRIBLE!!! It can talk too!" cried Lyra.

Twilight Sparkle was nearby, and she walk over to Lyra and Bon Bon to see what is going on, while the other ponies did.

"A monster?" Twilight asked. "What did it look like?"

"Well." Bon Bon started to describe. "It has black hair, blue fur, it carrying a weird looking stick, and it has blood on him."

"That monster looks like it just ate up a pony!" Lyra panicked. The other ponies panicked and started to run back into there houses.

"Everypony STOP!!!" shouted Twilight. Everypony stopped, and looked back at Twilight. "Listen, there's no such thing as monsters. Now, where did you find this 'monster' anyway?"

"It's in the Everfree Forest, but-"

"I don't care what it is. I'm going to see it for myself."

Bon Bon and Lrya followed, and some of the other ponies did. It wasn't really a long walk into the forest until they found me. I was still alive but unconscious. The ponies were scared and afraid to approach, while Twilight slowly examine me.

"He's not a monster." said Twilight, finally figures out who I was. 

"Then what is it?" asked the other ponies.

"He's a human."

"HUMAN?!" The other ponies screamed, and run back to their homes.

Spike, the little purple and green dragon, who was Twilight's assistant and roommate.	

"A human?" he asked.

"Yes Spike, and he's hurt. I'm not sure from what, but it looks like some sharp metal objects impacted into his body."

"Is he even alive?"

"He still is Spike, we have to get him over to at Fluttershy's place before he dies."

"Whoa! Are you sure about this?"

"Spike! We have to save him, and I have to report to Princess Celestia about this! Now, help me. We need to get him over to at Fluttershy's"

Twilight is a magical unicorn, she uses her magic to lift me up, and Spike had to help, because Twilight never knew that humans can weights so much.

By the time Twilight and Spike are trying to get me over to at Fluttershy's, I'm starting to feel very cold. While I was unconscious, I can feel that someone is trying to save me. I was wet and soaked of from the rain. But after some time, I felt dried up and the injuries gone. It was less painful. For some reason, I feel like I'm actually sleeping on the bed, or maybe some clouds, I don't even know if I was in heaven yet. I'm starting to feel warm and very comfortable. I feel like, I'm at home sleeping in my own bed. Am I still...alive?

Chapter 2: Welcome to Equestria


It was a long night. I was either sleeping or already dead. Later, I feel the warm morning sun shining down on me. Then, I smelled someone's cooking.

"I'm alive?" I thought to myself.

I slowly open my eyes, and I can see that I'm in a house - a beautiful house with some beautiful flowers placed on the window next to the bed with a beautiful morning sunlight shining through.

"He's awake!" said Rainbow Dash. Fluttershy squeaked and hid under the table. Than Rainbow Dash came out of middle of nowhere, came up to my face and starting to scold at me. "Who are you, and where are you from?" said Rainbow Dash angrily. "Are you a human spy trying to take over Equestria?!"

I was in deep shock, there are talking pegasus, unicorn, and earth ponies. I don;t even know what's going on anymore.

"I don't know what you're talking about." I said nervously.

"Stop lying!"

"That's enough Rainbow." said Twilight while dragging her away from me and put her back down onto the floor.

"Where am I?" I asked.

"Welcome to Equestria." Twilight answered nicely. "This is where the ponies lives."

"Equestria?" I was very confused. Equestria, it was never written on the map. 

"Actually, right now you're in a village called Ponyville."

"Ponyville? Where am I? Seriously! I have to go back to the Rappahannock River, I need to get back to my platoon! I don't want them to think I gone AWOL! (Absence without leave)"

"Calm down." said Applejack. "We're not gonna hurt ya."

"We just found you right outside of town last night, and I brought you here, because you really needed a medical care." said Twilight.

Now I remember. I was injured. When I look at myself, I have bandages wrapped around my shoulder and my stomach. I was saved after all. Something is still troubling me though. How on earth I ended up a place like this?

"My name is Twilight Sparkle. What's yours?"

"Tommy Watson." I answered. Then the other ponies starting to introducing themselves.

"Howdy! I'm Applejack."

"Hi, I'm Rainbow Dash."

"Come on Fluttershy, don't be shy." said Twilight. The shy pony craw out under the kitchen table and slowly approach.

"Hi Fluttershy, I'm Tommy Watson. Nice to meet you." 

"Um.. hi...." said Fluttershy in a very soft voice.

Than Fluttershy pushed a cart over to me. It was my breakfest. There's a plate full of nicely cooked vegetables, and I never seen someone actually do something that nice to me before.

"Thank you, Fluttershy."

"Um, you're welcome."

Then I started to eat my breakfast. I haven't eaten something that tastes so good since the war started in 1860. When I was about finishing my breakfest, I can hear noises outside. There's Spike, he tries to get into the house in front door, and he forces the other ponies back out. Spike sigh in relief while leaning aginst the door.

"It's a big crowd out there." said Spike. 

"Spike? What's going on? Why are there's so many ponies outside?" asked Twilight.

"Everypony in Ponyville wanted to see this human-- WHAAA!!! He's ALIVE!!!"

"AHHHHH!!! A talking dragon!!!" Me and Spike were stared at each other, than Twilight chuckle. 

"It's okay Spike. He's harmless."

"Are you sure? What if--"

"Spike."

"Okay." Spike walk over to me and gave me a handshake. "Hi, I'm Spike."

"Tommy Watson. Nice to meet you."

"So why are you here Spike?" asked Twilight.

"Oh, I forgot! Princess Celestia got your message, and she wanted to meet this human and..." than Spike realize something else. "yeah, the princess' Royal Guards will be here shorty."

"What?! The princess?!" I was even more nervous now. 

Suddenly, the nosie from outside quieted down. Somepony knocked on the door. Fluttershy went to answer. It was the princess' Royal Guards. One of them answer the door, and there are three of them standing outside with the carriage. I got out of the bed, and I was still felt the pain. The painful part was my stomach, I end up falling down to the floor.

"Oh no!" Fluttershy gasped, and came over to me. "Are you okay?"

"Yes, I'm fine, don't worry about me."

"Oh no, please stay in bed."

"Are you here to pick him up to Canterlot?" Twilight asked. 

"Yes, we are." He answered.

"Oh no, please." said Fluttershy. "He's still in bad shape, he need his rest. Why don't he just go another time?"

"No Fluttershy. I'll be alright. I'm not going to keep the princess waiting."

When I walk out the door, everypony was staring at me in silence. I got onto the carriage, and Twilight and her friends got on as well. We're off to Canterlot. Canterlot is a capital city of Equestria, the residence of Princess Celestia, and also Twilight's hometown, but now she lives in Ponyville. Canterlot is not much known as a city, but it's a large beautiful castle where most of the unicorns lived. The journey to Canterlot is not that long. It only takes twenty minutes by walking. During our trip, Twilight and her friends kept telling me about their princess, and saying how nice she is, and how generous she can be. I'm feeling nervous, meeting a princess at the time like this. I'm afraid she might do something terrible to me since I'm a human and a soldier. She might think that I'm a spy or something. I hope everything will be okay.

When we arrive to Canterlot front gate, there's another big crowd. Maybe they also came from Ponyville. I got off the carriage, and walk to the castle's entrance while everypony starring at me. When I walked inside of the castle, it looked like a church. At the end of the alley way, there's a large royal chair, that's where the princess will be sitting. The princess is not here yet. So we waited. Everypony took their seats, and I'm the only one standing with two Royal Guards standing by my sides. They are making sure that I don't do anything stupid. While waiting, I can hear some other ponies chatting and whispering in the background. They were talking about me. Saying how creepy and scary I look. Well, I don't blame them, they never saw a human being before, and I was taller than everypony else. The ponies' height mostly around three or four feet tall.

We only waited for two minutes and there, here come's the princess. The royal guards played the trumpets to address the princess' arrival. Several feet in the air, you can see some golden sparkles appears. Than a bright light brust and there she was. Princess Celestia. Right after she appeared, ahe sat down. Before the ponies bow down to her, I was the first one to do so. I was very nervous and I didn't want to disrepect the princess. Looking at her, she is the most beautiful creature you'll ever seen, even for a human like me. She has a pinkish-white body, a wavy mane of pastel colors, and her cutie mark is is the sun. Princess Celestia was surprise when she saw me bow down to her.

"Please, rise." she said. I stood back up and look at her nervously. "Now, I'm going to ask you some questions and please answer them."

"This is going to be a little tough." I thought to myself.

"What's your name, and where are you from?"

"Tommy Watson, and I'm from the Army of the Potomac."

"Army of the Potomac?"

"It's the major of the United States Army." Right after that, I was very speechless. I felt like I really shouldn't had said that. Princess Celestia feels a little concern, and she looked at me with her suspicious eyes. No human ever step foot into Equestria before, even though the land is invisible by Celestia's magic spell, but there is no barrier to stop anyone that walks through. The princess continued, she asked me how I got here and why are the humans are fighting. I think she knows it already, but I told her that the Union Army are fighting against the Confederate Army. Like I said, what are we really fighting for is freedom and liberating the slavery in the south. Then, she ask me this question, if I were a spy. I said, no. After I finished answering some of her other questions, I wanted to ask her if I can leave and go back to the human world.

"Sorry your highness?" I said nervously. "Is it okay if I can go back to the human world?"

Princess Celestia gave me a unsure look. "I can't let you go just yet." said the princess. "If I let you go now--"

"Princess please!" I interrupted. "I swear I won't tell a soul about this place, I have to go back or else I gone AWOL!"

"Hey!" said the guard on my left. "You don't interrupt when the princess when she's speaking!"

"It's alright." said Princess Celestia. "I understand how you feel, but I need some proof from you."

"Proof? What proof?"

"I want to see what kind of person you are."

"The Kind of person?" I thought to myself. She want to see if I were the good, or the bad human. But at that point, I was getting angry. She even mention about my rifle that I dropped. She stored it in the magical room which can be able to unlock it only by the princess' magic. I was even more upset, because a soldier never leaves his weapons behind, it meant for his life.

Before I head back to Ponyville, I thought to myself; the princess must know something. When I look at her again, she gave me a sorry look as if I lost a good friend. Well, several of my close friends were killed in the war, and I still try to forget about it. 

When I went down with the other ponies. I was put to work. Princess Celestia gave me a schedule of the things to do. 

1) In the mornings, I work at the Sugarcube Corner to help out Mr. and Mrs. Cake. Afternoons, well it depends which days, 

2)Mondays, I had to be at Sweet Apple Acres. 

3)Tuesdays, at the Carousel Boudoir. 

4)Wednesdays, in Canterlot doing chores, 

5)Thursdays, at the library. Fridays, at Fluttershy's Cottage. It actually like her little animal clinic. 

6)And Saturdays and Sundays, I'm on breaks. 

And there's more, it says: P.S. Please come and stop by at Canterlot anytime, if you have anything to talk about. -Sign Princess Celestia. I knew that the princess knew something. She already know that I went through a lot.

I have to start working tomorrow, but today I'm going to meet some of Twilight's friends, and the other ponies. I have to stay  here for a while so I'm going to give this town a chance.

Meet the ponies:

Twilight Sparkle is a purple unicorn, with Dark Indigo with pink and purple streaks mane, and her cutie mark is Magenta six-pointed star, surrounded by five smaller stars. Twilight is a very talented in magic, and also a private student of Princess Celestia. 

Fluttershy is a yellow pegasus with pink mane, and her cutie mark represent Three Butterflies. Fluttershy is a shy pony who loves taking care of animals, big or small. Fluttershy used to live in Cloudsdale, is a city which is up high in the sky in the sky, right above Ponyville. She prefers to stay close to the ground, living in a cottage near the forest instead of the city of Cloudsdale with the other pegasi, becasue what I heard was that she is fear of heights.

Rainbow Dash is a light blue pegasus with Rainbow colored mane, and her cutie mark is Rainbow-colored lighting bolt with a cloud. Rainbow is a very insensitive pony and she boast a lot about her awsomeness. Rainbow and I never got along that well. Maybe at times.

Applejack is a reddish-orange pony with blonde mane, and her cutie mark is Three Apples. Applejack is a hard working pony that runs Sweet Apple Acres, a large apple orchard near Ponyville. She also has a deep southern accent, and she also a very honest pony I ever met, she share her true feelings at times. 

Later on, Twilight took me to Carousel Boudoir where Rarity lives and works. Rarity is a white unicorn with purple stylish mane, and her cutie mark is Three Diamonds. Rarity is a very generous unicorn pony. When I walked into her shop, and saw my messy uniform, she quickly redo my my uniform for me. I can realize that Rarity is very stylish and beautiful, and takes great interest in fashion and clothing design, and often tries to make herself the center of attention. 

Spike is a young dragon who assists Twilight. Spike was hatched from an egg by Twilight and has accompanied her ever since. He often writes down Twilight's messages to Celestia and sends them to the Princess through his magical fire breath. He even told me seceretly that he has a private crush on Rarity and is willing to do anything to help her.

Last pony I'm going to meet is Pinkie Pie, but she's not around for the whole dayand I wonder why. We decided to head towards Sugarcube Corner to meet her, and that's the place where Pinkie Pie lives. Onnce I walked inside the Sugar Cube Corner, everything is dark.

"Uh, is anypony home?" I called.

"Surprise!" shouted the ponies and lights went on. I was deeply touched for some reason. There's a nig sign says: "Welcome to Ponyville Tommy!" I'd only been here since last night and the ponies are throwing a welcome party for me. Strange.

Pinkie Pie is a pink earth pony with pink puffy-curly mane, and her cutie mark is Three party balloons. Pinkie Pie is a party planner, but very funny, talkative, a bit air-headed, and quite random at times. Pinkie is the pony who will makes you laugh and smile.  I haven't smile or laugh over a year now. Pinkie was the only pony who made me smile. I only met these ponies for a few hours now and I started to like this place. While I was sitting down eating and drinking my tea, the other ponies wanted to meet me, and I give them a hand shake or maybe a hoof shake. 

It was a long day, when the day was almost over, I almost knew all of the ponies in town. It's very strange, I just met these ponies and they started to like me . We were about to have dinner and we were dining outside of Sugarcube Corner, and boy I never ate so. It feels so good to have a full stomach. A little while later, Princess Celestia is here, and to be honest, I was starting to feel angry again when I saw her. She was concerned about me and made sure if everything is okay. While we're having a good time, the princess called me aside. One of her guards came over to me and said, "The princess wants to speak with you in private." So, I got up and walk to her. Princess Celestia stood up . "Follow me." she said. We walk down to a park which there is a lake. I didn't know what to say to the princess and I kept quiet the whole time.  

"So, how did you like the ponies?" asked Princess Celestia.

"Well," I said in a speechless tone. "They're friendly."

"Look Tommy, I know you're upset with me, and I respect that. I'm sorry. I thought you're one of the humans who want to destroy and torture."

"Why would I want to do something like that? Besides, I already been tortured I....I have lost most of my friends already." Then I stopped.

"It's okay, you can let it out."

"Oh princess. The thing is, about this war....It's getting to me....I can't stand it!...."

"Go on, I'm listening."

"Well, it's my friends princess. They were my close friends, we used to play at the streets together. When the war started three years ago, my mother passed away, and I keep seeing my friends getting shot, left behind, and murdered... I just keep seeing hundreds of people die in front of me..." Than I started to cry, and I covered my face and looked away, I felt so ashamed.

It's okay, Tommy." Princess Celestia walked up to me and giving me a hug. I also told her about my other half of my family were murdered by the Confederate Army on the northern state of Virginia, while they are trying to escape back to the north. I cried for a long time, while Celestia is still hugging me. When I stopped crying, Celestia told me that she met a human once, and that completely caught my attention.

"You met a human before?" 

"Yes, that was twenty years ago. He was just a little child."

"Where did you meet him? I know it's not around here in Ponyville."

"Well, I met him just outside of the Wilderness Forest at the Hazel Grove Lake."

" Really? That place? What were you doing there?" I know where Hazel Grove Lake is, it's located like a few miles down south of Chancellorsville.

"Well, that used to be my favorite relaxation spot. It's quiet, and you can hear the birds sing, it's very lovely."

Then, the princess started to tell me her story.

Chapter 3: Princess and the Little Boy

Twenty years ago, Princess Celestia used to see this little child; he was only five years old when they first met. One day, Princess Celestia was strolling in the Wilderness Forest with a beautiful morning sunlight shining through the trees. She strolled around the forest for a while until she reached the lake. Suddenly, she heard something. It sounded like someone crying. Celestia was a little scared, but wanted to find out who it was. As she looked over one of the bushes, she saw a little boy. He was sobbing and calling out for his mother in his quiet voice. 

Suddenly, he looked up. The princess and the boy gasped as they looked at each other. The little boy was frightened, and tried to run away, but he tripped and fell down to the ground and hurt his knees. 

"It hurts!" he screamed. Princess Celestia walk over to him, bending her head down towards him and using her horn to heal the child's wounds. The boy, still scared, said "Please don't hurt me!" 

"There, there. I'm not going to hurt you." said Princess Celestia. "I'm your friend." The little boy wasn't so scared anymore. Princess Celestia placed her face next to his, as a warm hug. "Now tell me, how did you get out here all by yourself young man?" 

"I'm lost." sniffed the boy. "I don't remember how I got here... I wanna go home." 

"Just tell me where you live, and I'll take you home." 

"Well, I live in a big farm, with all the corns fields are. It's next to a village."   

"Alright." Celestia Chuckled. "Hop on to my back." Celestia lowered herself to the ground so the boy could get on. When the boy climbed onto her back, Celestia spread out her wings and flew up into the air. "Hold on!" said Celestia, as she flew higher up into the air. The little boy was very amazed that he had never been this high up before. They were about three hundred feet high up in the air. 

"There!" the boy pointed. "That's my home." It's a farm that located near Chancellorsville. Than, Celestia flew down near the house where the boy pointed, and dropped him off. 

"Thank you so much!" he said. 

"You're very welcome. What's your name young man?" 

"My name is Henry. What's yours?" 

"Celestia. Princess Celestia." 

"Thank you for saving me Princess Celestia." 

"You're very welcome Henry." 

Than Henry's mother called. "Henry, is that you?" 

Henry gave Celestia a hug. "Will I ever see you again?" 

"Just come by to the lake again. I'll be there waiting for you." Then, Celestia flew off and magically disappeared with a golden sparkles. That day, that was the princess' very first interaction with a human. 

Once every week, Henry would come by to the lake to see the princess. Sometimes when the princess was not there, she would write a letter to Henry. When Henry turned thirteen years old, his father, was suspicious of his own son. He noticed that his son kept on leaving the house once every week and went into the forest. One day he followed Henry into the forest. When he arrived where the princess and Henry would meet, he saw his son Henry talking to a Alicorn (winged unicorn). Henry's father couldn't believe what he just saw. He heard about the legend story of the Alicorn, but everybody said it never existed. After what he saw he wanted to prove to others that an Alicorn that still existed. Henry's father said nothing to Henry until next week when Henry went back to the forest again. 

He took his double-barrel shotgun and some ammunition with him. He really wanted to hunt this Alicorn down. 

Celestia and Henry were chatting away until Henry's father tries to kill her. Princess Celestia just heard the gun's safety trigger. Before she knew, she quickly flew off while Henry's father tried to take a shot at her. Henry didn't know what's going on until his father fire his shotgun. 

"No!" cried Henry, jumping to his father knocking his shotgun down. Princess Celestia flew away safely. But that day, Henry's father was very upset. He would have got the Alicorn if he got the chance. Henry couldn't believe that his father would do something to harm a beautiful creature. All what his father said was: "We're going to be rich and become famous if you just let me kill that Alicorn!" 

Henry had no choice. He had to say goodbye to Princess Celestia for good. His father went around town that day to tell everyone that an Alicorn still existed. Later that night when everyone is asleep. Princess Celestia came back to Henry's home. She was near his bedroom window and Celestia wanted to know what happened. Henry explained everything to Celestia about the humans wanting her dead so they can see the legendary Alicorn. 

"You understand right?" said Henry. "I really can't see you anymore. You really have to go back where you came from." 

Princess Celestia understood and gave Henry a goodbye hug. Henry couldn't help but cry. Celestia gave Henry a neckless with a sun on it which represented her cutie mark. 

"Keep it well, and remember our friendship." said Celestia, who was about to cry. 

"I will." said Henry. He watched Celestia fly away into the night sky and disappear with her magic sparkles. 

From that night, Princess Celestia never saw that boy again, and never went back to her favorite spot in the forest anymore. The humans went to the forest that day and hunting for her, and they never did found her. And that was the whole story.... 

I can see why Celestia put away my rifle, she thought I was one of them. 

"So the boy... you never saw him again?" 

"No, that's was the last time I ever saw him." Than Celestia looked over to me. "Sorry Tommy, but do you ever know this person? Henry? I mean, I never knew his last name...." 

"I'm so sorry princess. Henry is a very common name. I only knew three Henrys. The first two Henry were killed in the battle, and this Henry, which he's still alive. Henry Oliver, he's a great captain and leading our men into battle. He's a great man. A man of honor...." 

Princess Celestia looked sad. "Tommy, you reminded me a lot of this boy." 

"Oh...." 

"Anyways." Celestia looks towards me. "The reason I wanted you to stay, because I thought you're one of those men, but to see that I was wrong. But, I also wanted you to make some friends, even of they are ponies. 

"Not at all princess." I said proudly. "I love them all. They all made me very happy today. I haven't smile like this for a long time, not until now. I'll stay and help out everypony around here, and thank you, Princess Celestia." 

Celestia and I walked back to Sugarcube Corner. There was something going on. Everypony is laughing, and cheering. Applejack made a pie eating contest. There were three ponies just eating away until one pony finishes first. There was Pinkie Pie, she's just hopping all over the place, and I was just laughing at her because how silly she was. Then, she accidentally fell over to a table which where another pie was sitting across at the end of the table. The table flew up like a seesaw, which made the pie fly. I wasn't paying any attention until the pie landed in my face. Everypony gasped as they looked over to me. 

"Pinkie Pie?" I was wiping the crust off my face. 

"Yes?" gulped Pinkie Pie. 

"You know what happens if I got face pie, right?" I was holding the blueberry pie. 

"OH! OH! You're gonna pie me back?" 

"You've got it!" I smack Pinkie Pie in the face with the pie. She didn't mind, she chewed away like I just gave her a big meal. 

"Yummy!" 

Everypony laughed, and so did I.

Chapter 4: A Hard Day's Work

What a great night I had. There's only one problem though. I had no place to stay for the night. I could sleep back at Fluttershy's place but the princess and I had our long talk tonight. She seems to trust me, and she was nice enough to let me stay over at Canterlot. There a guests bedroom which had not been used for a while. It was kind of dusty, but beautiful. It's a lot better than sleeping in the battlefield with all the mud and the dead bodies lying around. It's so nice to sleep on the bed again. 

It's Monday morning, and I have to get to work. I have to go to Sugarcube Corner to help out Mr. and Mrs. Cake. Before I leave, I go to the bathroom to wash up. Then I went down to the diner room to get breakfest. In that diner room there were a lot of formal unicorn ponies, just sitting eating their breakfest. I didn't stay to eat, I grab a muffin and a sandwich and left. I didn't bother to stay and eat with the formal ponies. 

It took me twenty minutes to walk down to Ponyville. When I arrived, there was Twilight and Spike. They were waiting for me. 

"Good morning, Tom." they said. 

"Good morning Twilight." then I turned to Spike. "Good morning Spike." 

Twilight took a close look at me. "Do you actually sleep in your blue uniform?" 

"Well, this is all I have to wear." I said. Actually, I slept with my T-shirt and my underpants. 

"We really need to get some new clothes. I bet Rarity can make you some." said Twilight. 

"Well why don't we just go over to at Rarity's place?" suggested Spike. "I know she'll make you some nice clothes." Spike sounded like he couldn't wait to see Rarity, and for a moment I laughed, because although Spike told me the other day that he had a secret crush on Rarity, you can still read him like a book. 

"Not now Spike. Tommy needs to get to work. Later on, okay?" 

"Oh, alright...." sighed Spike. 

When we arrived to Sugercube Corner, I introduced myself to Mr. and Mrs. Cake, they seemed to be a very nice couple. Afterwards, Twilight and Spike left, and I went to work. My job is simple. I was the waiter. I serve drinks and food to other ponies. The Sugar Cube Corner is very busy in the morning, a lot of ponies like to come here to have breakfast and lunch. The whole morning, all I did was run back and forth, into the kitchen and back out. Some other ponies were glad to see me though. They came to stop by and said hello to me. 

At noon, I took an hour lunch break before I headed towards Sweet Apple Acres. Harvesting apples was the hardest job. I have to carry tons of heavy baskets fill with apples back to the barn. I just realize that how hard it was for the slaves. I can see why the United States Government wanted to banned the slavery in the south. But, I do enjoy working with Applejack and her big brother Big Macintosh. He's a big red pony with blonde mane. Most of the time when I see Big Mac, his face barely changes. He always looks bored. But he is one big strong pony. The funny thing about him is this, when he agrees with something with you, he'll say: "Eeeyup!" and sometimes he'll say: "Nnnooope!" 

Everyday in the afternoons, I get different job. The next day, I worked at the Carousel Boudoir with Rarity. My goodness, Rarity is extremely busy. She has no time to take breaks or anything. Today, while I was helping her with the dresses, she already finished three beautiful, well-designed gowns. Later on that day, when I finished all my work, Rarity made me a pajama and a suite. Then she gave it to me. 

"How did you do that? I mean, how did you know my measurements?" 

"With magic." said Rarity, while using her magic holding up with a measuring tape. 

"Thank you so Rarity. You're very generous." 

"Aw, your welcome my dear." 

The next day, I was in Canterlot doing chores. It's not very hard work. All I do was cleaning windows, mopping the floors, and gardening the princess' favorite plants. Nothing much was going on; it's very quiet. The princess is busy with other things. But, there is a school upstairs teaching younger unicorn ponies about magic. 

On Thursday, I helped Twilight Sparkle in the library. There wasn't much to do because Spike got it all done before me. She needed my help sometimes when she needs to organize all of her books. This is a really pain in the butt because it have to be very organize or else, she'll take all the books back out of the shelves again. 

Friday, I was helping with Fluttershy at her clinic for the woodland creatures. Any animal that was not feeling good, they would come to see Fluttershy. Any animal that came to Fluttershy's, you name it! Big or small, that day a grizzly bear paid a visit. I panicked once I saw that creature. Fluttershy really has many ways to take care of the animals. 

Just a reminder, everyday in the mornings I work in the Sugarcube Corner from 9 to 12. I got different jobs in the afternoons, just like I described. 

That Saturday morning, I headed down to Ponyville to meet Twilight and her friends to get to know them better.  They agreed to show me around Ponyville. When I was about to leave, I was stopped by one of the Royal Guards. The guard told me that Princess Celestia wanted to talk to me about something. She was at the balcony having her breakfast, as I sat down next to her. I wondered what she wants. She sounded very concerned. 

"Tommy." she said. "How's everything this week?" 

"Fine." I said. "Why you ask?" 

"For the past few nights, I heard you screaming. Do you have nightmares when you go to sleep?" 

I totally forgotten about that. Everynight I kept dreaming about the war. I kept seeing people geting killed in front of me. So I told her about that, and I couldn't stop having those awful dreams. Celestia told me that she heard my screams for the past few nights, the screams of terror and saddness. They always keep coming back to haunt me no matter how hard I tried to forget and no matter how old I got, those horrible memories still stayed with me. 

"Are you sure you'll be alright?" said Celestia. 

"I'll be fine. Thank you princess." I got off the chair and ready to leave. 

"Remember, if you needed to talk, just let me know." 

To be really honest, Princess Celestia really reminds me of my mother. My Ma always there when I'm feeling down, but she already passed away from illness three years ago, right after I left for the war. I still miss her very much....

Chapter 5: Meet Princess Luna

*Man my gammer sucks, and please excuse of my poor writing, and I'll try my best to fix up the problem.*

I've been in Ponyville over a week now and I didn't bother thinking about going back to the war. I think the war is probably over now. Today, I'm with Twilight and the others. They show me around Ponyville like the shops, and so on. So far, this town is just... so peaceful. Mostly the ponies know each other and they hello to each other, and they always have a  happy face most of the time. 

I know I sounded like I'm repeating myself the same story. When we sat down for lunch, Twilight and her six friends including Spike, asked me about my life and what I did before I arrived here. I told them I grew up in New York City, on East 24th Street in Manhattan. It's a very poor neighborhood and the streets are very dirty, I MEAN very dirty. I won't go for the details though. I only lived with my big sister and my Ma. My father left the family when I was four. I didn't know why because my Ma never tells me, and I was too young to understand. Me and my sister didn't go to school because we didn't have the money. We only stayed home to do house work while Ma would be at work. Ma owns a local store around the corner of Third Avenue, but she didn't earn that much money. I don't know what to say anymore. It's just a bunch of sad memories. When I turned 16, I was sent off the military, that's when the Civil War began. After that, my Ma passed away from illness, and my sister was left alone taking care of the home and store which Ma used to run. Then I told them about the war, just like what I said to Princess Celestia. They can't believe their ears, it's a saddest story they ever heard. How you like that? Just right after losing my Ma, than I got sent to the military just to see one of your best friend dies.... I can see why Princess Celestia told me stay. She wants me to feel better before I go back to the human world. The only thing that made me laugh is that, Pinkie Pie is crying away like how she did it when Princess Celestia and Luna got reunited. I had a good time with Twilight and her friends. It's really good to have someone-- I mean, somepony to talk to. 
When the day is almost over, everypony went back home. When I arrive back to Canterlot, Princess Celestia left me a message at my bedroom door, it said: 

Dear Tommy Watson, 

How is your day with Twilight Sparkle? I'm informing you that my younger sister, Princess Luna will be arriving here, in Canterlot, tomorrow morning, and I wanted you to meet her. She'll be here around eleven o'clock in the morning. Please don't be late, I'll see you than. 

-Princess Celestia 

"Whoa...." I exclaimed clamly. "Celestia...had a younger sister?" I was feeling nervous again, just like that time when I first met Princess Celestia. 

The next day, when I went outside of the Conterlot's gate, I saw Celestia and her guards are waiting for Princess Luna arrival. 

"Good morning, princess." as I bowed down to her. 

"Good morning Tommy." said Celestia with her warming smile. "Did you sleep well?" 

"Yes I did. Thank you." 

"Sorry about informing you this late about my younger sister is coming over." 

"It's quite alright princess. You don't have to apologize." 

About a half a minute later, Princess Luna came in with a dramatic entrance. The bright blue sky turn into dark thunderclouds. Than I saw a opening from the clouds and there she is. Princess Luna. Two of her guards are  chauffeuring her flying carriage. Luna's guards look kind of scary, they are pegasus after all. They wore purple armor, and it has a webbed crest over the helm. They resemble Celestia's guards, except have a much darker look about them. 
So, I was standing here scaring myself off. It looks I'm meeting Celestia's evil sister. The lighting flash as Luna got off her flying carriage. This is really awkward, Luna had her overalls on and wearing her hood over her head... it feels like meeting the Grim Ripper in my opinion. 

"Uhhh.... Princess?" as I turn over to face her, while the sky is clearing up. "Does she do that often?" 

Celestia chuckled. "Most of the time, yes. She loves to scare everypony." 

"Well she did a good job, I can't feel my legs." I never seen magic like that before, but it's really amazing though. Celestia just laughed, while her sister came over. 

"Hi Tia!" said Luna as she leaning up against her. 

"Luna! It's so nice to see you again." They gave each other a hug, then, Luna came over to me and she took a good close look at my face. 

So Luna is a Alicorn who raises the moon every night, as opposed to her sister Celestia who raises the sun everyday. Luna look just like her sister except that she is smaller, and has a dark blue and purple wavy mane, dark blue coat, and her cutie mark represents a crescent moon on a dark background. What I heard about Luna was she used to be Nightmare Moon, and imprisoned on the moon for a thousand years. In the past, she got jealous of her sister because the ponies slept through the night and thus could not appreciate her work. That was how she became, Nightmare Moon. A thousand years later when Luna came back down to Earth, she was going to turn the whole world into darkest. When Twilight Sparkle and her friends came along they broke her evil spell that changed her back to normal by using the "Elements of Harmony". Even to this day, when Luna came back to Earth two years now, many ponies are too scared and afraid to approach Luna, but that is going to change. 

Back to the story, right now Luna just kept on starring at me. 

"Hi, I'm Tommy Watson." I said nervously, while Luna put her face close to mine, narrowing her eyes, and stared straight into my eyes. 

"So, you're that human everypony is talking about." Luna finally spoke. 

"Yes, that's me." 

"You look weird." she said. 

"Now, now Luna." said Celestia. "He's a human, he's different from us." 

"I can see that. But, you still look weird." Luna is starting to get on my nerves. 

"Alright, that's enough." Celestia cut in. 

"But Tia!" I thought the humans wanted you dead!" 

"Luna! Please, that's a awful thing to say! This gentleman is harmless. He also here to help out us ponies." 

"Well alright, at least he's harmless." Luna started to sound nicer. "So, how long you've been here?" 

"It's a long story." 

"Why don't you two go somewhere and have talk a little and get to know each other better?" suggested Celestia. 

"Sure why not." said Luna. "By the way, I'm Princess Luna. But, you can call me Luna." 

"Nice to meet you, Luna." Then, we decided to go to Ponyville to hang out. Once we arrive, the ponies quickly reacted as soon as they saw Luna. They were shocked, and quickly bow down to her shutting their eyes tightly as we walk by. 

"That's strange." I said. "Why are they taking you so serious?" 

"They haven't got used to me, since I've return from the moon." 

"What did you do to make them feel so afraid of you?" 

Luna told me how she became Nightmare Moon and threatened Equestria that the world will be living into complete darkness, like I said earlier. A thousand years had passed and Luna found everything very difficult for her. I mean, for a thousand years, the ponies she used to know, they're all gone now. She had no friends to talk to and to have fun with. The only pony who is close to her is her sister, Celestia. I can understand how it feels. But at least she had made some new friends such as Twilight and her friends, and some of the other ponies. Later we settle down at the cafe, and I told her the same story about myself. I told her the exact same story I told Twilight and her friends about the war and my childhood. Strange, Luna and I going through almost the same situation here. 

Luna and I were starting to get along. While we were still chatting away, everypony around us just stared. They were actually surprised how a human like me got along with Luna. We didn't really care. We continued our little chit-chat and talk about silly things that we used to do when we were younger. We also joke around. As the day went by, Luna and I walk around Ponyville visiting the shops. This is where Luna is starting to act strange, there was one store which Luna wanted to see and I didn't want to go in and waited outside. When Luna came back out of the store, she sneak and lean up against me like a loving cat. This is where Luna started to have feelings for me which I didn't know... yet. 

Luna and I hang around all day, until we had to go back to Canterlot, and it was time for Luna to lower sun and raises the moon for the night. As we walk back to Canterlot, Luna was leaning against me like how a happy couple would do, and kept doing that all the way back to Canterlot. Once we arrive back inside of Canterlot, we have to split, because Luna's bedroom is up at the tower where her sister's bedroom would be. 

"Goodnight Luna." I said. "I had a great time today. It's so nice to meeting you." 

"Me too." said Luna. Then she made sure no one was watching and quickly kissed me on my left side of my face. Then she went back to her room. I stood there for a moment, and I started to realize that Luna really likes me. 

"Oh no...." I thought. "A pony is in love with me?? No, that's impossible, I mean it could be a friend kiss... not like she really likes me that much...." I went back to my room and the whole night I still can't stop thinking about it. 

Finally when the morning came. I was up very early, because I didn't slept well. I was still thinking about last night when Luna gave me that kiss. Right away before I left to go to work, I bump into Princess Celestia, she was on her way to breakfast. 

"Oh, good morning, princess." 

"Good morning Tommy." Than Princess Celestia noticed that I haven't slept very well. "Are you okay Tommy? You don't look so well." 

"Oh, yeah. I meant to talk you about that." 

"Come, lets talk while we go and get our breakfast." Then we started to walk down the corridors, I didn't feel comfortable talking about Luna's kiss. So, I told her about the things we did yesterday. "I see that you and Luna got along pretty well." 

"Too well...." I put on a hard smile. Then, we sat down at the balcony again where Celestia ate her breakfast the other day. We ate our breakfast, and then I asked her. "Did Luna act differently last night?" 

"Matter in fact, she did. When I was going back to my room, I heard Luna's giggles." 

"Really?" I was getting curious. 

"Yes. You sure made Luna very happy yesterday. She told me how much she likes you and she also wanted to see you again." 

"Oh dear...." I said. I was right, she is in love with me! I really do like her, but not in love with her. "Did she... told you what happen yesterday?" 

"Well Tommy." Celestia chuckled. "You're the only one who gotten close to Luna." 

"Really? I am?" 

"Yes." Celestia nodded while she is still smiling. 

"Princess, well you see..." Than I whisper to her ear. "Did she tell you that she actually kissed me?" 

Celestia laughed. "Yes, she did. So, that's what you wanted to tell me." 

"Yes, but princess, I really don't want to hurt your sister's feelings, but I'm a human being, I really can't fall for Luna. Well, she's a pony you know." 

"I understand," said Celestia. "We're both from two different worlds. Well, if you don't feel comfortable talking to Luna about how you feel, why don't you let me go talk to her for you?" 

"No, that's... that's quite alright, I'll find the way to talk to her myself. Thank you princess, for the breakfast. I'll be on my way." 

"Anytime Tommy, enjoy your day." 

Later, I was at work again. I was having a difficult time in the Sugarcude Corner. Their are a lot of ponies taking out orders like, cakes, cup cakes, candies, ice cream, and etc. While I was putting the cakes in the boxes, Pinkie Pie just couldn't stop eating. Whenever I put down a tray of ten cupcakes and I went to get a box, when I come back, all of the cupcakes are gone. 

"Pinkie Pie!" I shouted. "You either help me or just stop eating!" 

Pinkie Pie just sitting there with her stomach full and laughed. Mrs. Cake came around and told Pinkie Pie either go out to play or go up to her room. Than, Pinkie Pie decided go outside to find Rainbow Dash. After she left everything is much easier. Later on, when everything had quiet down again. I was cleaning up the tables when I saw, Princess Luna. She had came by to see me. 

"Oh hi Luna." as I bow down to her. "You want something to eat?" 

"No I'm fine. I'm just here to say hi." Luna smiled at me. I was looking around the place, inside and outside of Sugarcube Corner, there are ponies starring at us. I was starting to feel really uncomfortable.   

"Well don't just stand there!" said Mrs. Cake. "Set up a nice table for her!" 

"Oh don't worry, I'm just here to ask Tommy a question." 

"Oh, what do you wanted to ask me?" 

"I wonder if you're free this Saturday?" 

"This Saturday?" 

"Yes, it's the Grand Galloping Gala. I wonder if you're free that day." 

I had nothing to do that day so I said yes. Luna became very happy and started to hop around in circles. 

"Alright! I'll see you then Tommy!" Than suddenly Luna gave me a big smooch on my face, in front of everypony and they all gasped and stared in silence while their jaws drop wide open. Then Luna left, I was just standing there speechless and stoned. I didn't know to say or what to do next. 

"Did you see that?!" shouted Pinkie Pie. "Luna kissed Tommy!" 

"Uh, yeah?" said Rainbow Dash. 

"What are you doing back here so soon?! You didn't see anything now leave!" I ran into the kitchen and hid in there for a long time, I was very embarrassed. 

"Did you see that?!" said Pinkie Pie in her exciting tone. "Now I'm going to tell Twilight and the others!" 

"Pinkie Pie!" shouted Rainbow Dash. "You better not go around and start spreading rumors like that." 

"Why not? It's big news! Princess Luna is in love with Tommy!" 

Rainbow Dash sighed and face hoof while Pinkie Pie ran off like a wind to tell Twilight and the others.

Chapter 6: A Date with Luna

Few minutes later at Twilight's library. 

"Thank you all for helping me to clean up the library you guys." said Twilight. "It's been a crazy weekend for studying." 

"No problem at all Twi." said Applejack. "But I have a lot more work back at the farm, and Tommy is going to help me harvesting apples." 

Suddenly, Pinkie Pie burst through the door, knocking everypony down to the floor and all of the books on the shelves fell off and pile on top of the ponies. 

"Urgh! Pinkie Pie!" said Twilight. "We've just clean up this mess. Just look what you've done!" 

Just than, Pinkie Pie got up and place her face against Twilight's face. "Twilight! You're not going to believe what I've just saw!" 

"Urgh, what is it Pinkie?" said Twilight while Rainbow Dash walked in. 

"Rainbow and I just saw, Princess Luna kissed Tommy!" 

"Whaaa?" Rarity dropped down her jaw and her eyes widen. 

"Oh, Pinkie Pie." said Twilight. "Are you sure you saw Luna kissed him?" 

"Well, duh! That's why I'm here to tell you. Luna asked Tommy out for the Grand Galloping Gala for the dance!" 

"The Grand Galloping Gala?!" exclaim Rarity. "I almost forgot, I've must get the dresses ready." Than she ran off. 

"Pinkie, you're not serious are you?" 

"She is telling the truth Twilight." said Rainbow Dash. "I was there, and I saw everything." 

"But how can Luna asked Tommy to the dance? They just met only yesterday." 

"Well, why don't we go and have a word with him?" Applejack suggested. "He'll tell us what really happened." 

"Well, I see why not." Then Twilight, Applejack, Rainbow Dash, and Pinkie Pie went to look for me. But this time I wasn't at the Sugarcube Corner, I was at the Sweet Apple Acres harvesting apples on my own. About two hours later, I finished ten baskets of apples, than I took a break. I was waiting for Applejack but she was no where to be seen. So I waited for her. I was sitting next the barn house wondering to myself about, what will the ponies will think about me. I waited for an hour until I saw Twilight and the others. 

"Oh there you are sugarcube!" said Applejack. 

"I thought you're still at the Sugarcube Corner hiding yourself because you're so embarrass for Luna kissing you." explained Pinkie Pie with her exciting vocie. 

"Oh, that's why you all here." I said. "Pinkie, why did you have to tell them about them this?" 

"Oh.... You don't want me to?" 

"Pinkie Pie!" 

"Well I tried to stop her." said Rainbow Dash. "She said how big news it was and she ran off." 

"It's alright Rainbow. I bet some other ponies who saw what happened back there probably telling to the other ponies about it." 

"Just what exactly you made Princess Luna liked you so much?" asked Twilight. 

"Well, since you're all here. I'll just tell you." They all sat down and listened. I told them about how Luna and I got along and some other stuff. I even told them what Princess Celestia had said to me. I was the only one who gotten close to Luna. 

"Ohhh. I see now." said Twilight. 

"You all get it now? Besides, what is this Grand Galloping Gala anyway?" 

"Oh you don't know about it?" said Pinkie Pie. "It's the best party in all of Equestria." 

"Really?" 

"Yes it is!" Pinkie Pie continued. "There is a shiny dance floor, pretty party ponies, live music, and great foods!" 

"Well, it's not that like the best party in Equestria." said Twilight. "The last time we went, it was kind of awful." said Twilight. 

"Awful, but at least we enjoy hanging out with friends." added Applejack. 

"Wait a minute, I don't know where the party will be, and when it going too start?" 

"It's right inside of Canterlot." said Rainbow. "Do you ever been inside of the Canterlot's ball room?" 

"Well, no. I never been to the ball room...." 

"Don't worry Tommy. You'll see it soon enough." said Twilight. "And the party starts at six o'clock in the evening." 

Just then, Rarity came back. "Oh there you guys are. I was looking all over for you." 

"Why what's wrong Rarity?" said Applejack. 

"Oh it's nothing, I've already got the dresses ready for the Gala." Then Rarity looked at me. "Oh my stars! Why are you still in that blue uniform? I thought I've made you some other clothes." 

"Oh this." I said. "Sorry Rarity, I'm just too used to the army life. I'm just use to wearing the same clothes all the time." 

"Oh that won't do." Rarity came over and drag me by using her magic. "Come to my place and I'll give you another redo." 

"No that's quite alright Rarity, I'm fine." I was still being dragged. "Uh girls? Please help?" 

"Well, you do need something different to wear." said Rainbow Dash. 

"Don't worry Tommy, at least you finished your work." called Applejack. 

Rarity took me back to her place and she made me something more casual to wear, which I feel more comfortable in. A white dressed shirt with a red tie and a black dress paints. 

"There! much better." said Rarity. "You look so nice in them." 

"Thanks Rarity. I always wanted to wear something like this." 

"You mean, you never wear something like that nice before?" 

"No never, only the rich can able to afford something like this." 

"Oh! Ideaaaa~! I'm going to make some more!" 

"Rarity! Please...! It's okay, I already had enough clothes to wear." 

"Are you sure darling?" 

"Yes, I'm sure. I promise I'll wear something different tomorrow." 

"Okay, promise?" 

"Promise." 

Right after today and Tuesday, I was in Canterlot doing chores again. I was mostly in the kitchen cutting vegetables. Luna, in the other hand, she was with me all day. It was kind of nice for her to keep me company. When I work in Canterlot on Wednesdays, I'm mostly by myself. But, I still can't tell her how I really feel. I really don't want to hurt her feelings. 

This week is a little odd, wherever I went, many ponies would stare at me and talks about between me and Luna. When it is Saturday, I was on my way to Rarity's Carousel Boudoir where Twilight and the others are getting ready for the Gala. I bump into Spike while I was on my way to Rarity's. Than Spike mention about me and Luna, and he wondered why she kissed me. I told him the same thing what I told to Twilight and the others. Spike was feeling jealous. He wishes it was that easy for Rarity to fall for him. I just laughed, but I told him, someday she'll know. When we arrived to Rarity's. Spike knocked on the door. "Twilight? Are you in there?" 

"I'm in here Spike." she called. 

"Me and Tommy are here, can we come in?" 

"Sure thing Spike." said Rainbow Dash. 

"Good havens no!" said Rarity, holding against the door. "We're getting dressed!" 

"Dressed?" said Applejack. "Beg your pardon Rarity, but uh, we don't normally where clothes." 

Than Spike and I just chuckled and looked at each other. 


"Well, you're wearing clothes." 

"I have to Spike, I'm not a animal, I don't even have fur." 

"I see." said Spike. Than Rarity open the door. 

"Please, do come in." said Rarity. "I'm Sorry about that. Some of us do have standards." Than Rarity look over to me. "Ohhh~, is that the suite I've made for you?" 

"Why yes it is." I was carrying it over my arm the whole time. 

"Good, come on." Rarity starting to dragging me again. "I'm going to make you look good for the princess." 

"Oh dears." I thought to myself. Rarity washed my face and my hair. Than she made me to take a bath, and after that I dressed into my suite and she put some male perfume on me. It smells pretty good though. At that moment I was starting to feel like a rich man. I'm in a suite for the first time, and I was nice and clean for the first time, and I would have done this for free. It's so nice to have friends like this, even though they're ponies. I was starting to realize that the ponies are hiding something from me. So I asked them. All they said it was a big surprise, and they all smile at me. "Hmm." I thought to myself. "Something is really big going to happen." When it was time, everypony was ready to head towards the Gala. Twilight and the others were wearing their beautiful gowns, and Spike was wearing his cute little tuxedo, they were also made by Rarity. 

About an hour later, we had arrived to Canterlot. Their is a lot of ponies here tonight, with all their fancy clothes. Than Twilight and the others took me into the ball room in a big hurry. Once we went into the ball room, it was very huge, it has a big beautiful ceiling, large glass windows, shiny tile floors, and a large golden statue of Princess Celestia. 

"Isn't it fancy pants?" said Pinkie Pie. 

"Yes." I said. "I...can't believe it." This is one of the most beautiful party that I've ever been in. Than I saw Princess Celestia, and walk up to her. "Good evening your highness." 

"Good evening Tommy." she said. "You look very gorgeous tonight." 

"Oh, thank you princess." I was blushing. "By the way, where's Luna?" All I heard was Twilight, Pinkie Pie, and Rarity giggling in the background.   

"Oh, there she is." said Celestia. Luna appeared and, oh....my goodness. She is so... beautiful. She had a biggest makeover yet. Her dark blue coat is now pink, including her mane. She is wearing a beautiful pink dress with yellow hearts and ribbons on it, and wearing her shiny pink glass shoes. I stood there speechless. 



Luna walked up to me. "What do you think? Do I look nice?" 

I just couldn't say anything for a moment. "ummm... you're so...beautiful." 

Luna gave me a warm smile. "I'm glad you like it. Rarity gave me a big makeover." 

I look over at Rarity. "So that's what the secret was all about!" 

"Eeyup!" she replied. 

"Well go enjoy yourselves, and have a good time." said Celestia. 

"Okay sure." I said. Luna and I walk to some tables to get something to eat. 

Twilight walked up to the princess. "Princess Celestia." 

"Twilight, it's so nice to see you, and your friends as well." 

"Me too, princess. But don't we're going to ruin this party again." 

"Don't worry about it Twilight, I actually enjoyed it." It's funny, I'm starting to realize that the princess has a fun-loving side and appreciating the humor like that one time Twilight sent her a bottle of disappearing ink. At times, the princess will even disregard the strict standards of high-class society when they become too much of a burden for her. Honestly, Celestia's personality is really like my mother's, her kindness, generosity, and she'll be there for you when you're feeling down. "So how Tommy's behavior, and how's he doing mostly down at Ponyville?" 

"Actually princess, Tommy is not a bad person after all. The ponies starting to like him. He works hard all the time, but sometimes... he feels sad." 

"I see.... You know Twilight, when I first saw him, I actually read his mind." 

"You did, princess? But why?" 

"I'm sorry, I just have to find out. All I see in his mind is sadness. That's why I wanted him to stay. You see Twilight, he lost a lot of friends during the war, and the special person he ever loved lost, it was his mother...." 

"Oh, yes, he told me that story." 
"Now look at him. He's more happier now." 

The fun was about to start. Luna and I were laughing away with our jokes, and a lot of ponies are surrounding us. These ponies are mostly unicorns, I never saw them before and they never saw a human being either. They were surprise that they never realized that human can be friendly. 

Than Pinkie Pie place a record disk on the record player. "Come on everypony! Let's party!" The music started to play loudly, and the ponies started to dance. Even Luna, she started to dance and I watched. I was a little shy to dance. 

"Come on Tommy, dance!" said Luna excitedly. 

"III~ don't know." 

"Come on Tommy!" said Pinkie Pie. "Look at Fluttershy! She's dancing away too, and everypony is watching her!" 
Fluttershy opened her eyes. "Oh, are they?" Fluttershy squeak and blushed, and covered herself with her hooves. 

"Aw Fluttershy." said Rainbow Dash. "You're doing great! Come on and dance with me!" 

"Come on ya'll! Let's rock n' roll!" shouted Applejack. 

"Care to dance Twilight?" said Celestia. 

"You dance too, princess?" 

"Well of course! The princess got to lived it up sometimes." 

Every one of us just dance away. I never felt so happy in my life. At this moment I never felt so alive, with everypony here in Equestria. Five minutes later, the music came to a stop and starting to play the soft loving music. 

"Oh, I loved this song!" said Luna. 

"You still want to dance?" 

"Yes of course." 

"Here, hold my hands." 

Luna rise her left hoof and place it my right hand, then her right hoof to my left hand. Everypony around us just stared with polite, even Twilight and her friends, and even Princess Celestia. We were in the center of attention, and I was starting to feel nervous. But when I look at Luna, to see how happy she is. I just couldn't resist. Just to see how beautiful she is. (Play this music, "Zoom" by Fat Larry's Band). I know why Luna loves this music, it matches her a lot. 

"D'awwww~" said Applejack. "Don't they just look nice?" 

"They sure do." said Fluttershy. 

"Kind of cheesy if you ask me." said Rainbow Dash. 

"Rainbow Dash, how can you say something like that?" said Rarity. "They are enjoying themselves can't you see?" 

We continue to dance and I keep hearing the other ponies talking about us in a good way, but sometimes I can hear the some other male ponies talking about us. They were jealous, and I heard that they do have a crush on Princess Luna. 

We kept dancing until the music stop. When we stop, the ponies clop there hooves and give us a big cheer. About a few hours later, I needed a break, I walk out to the garden while Luna went to get something to drink and talking to Twilight and her friends. Princess Celestia came outside to the garden where I was sitting down at the bench. 

"How do you feel tonight?" she said. 

"I feel great princess. I never felt so happy in my life." 

"Well, I'm glad that you have fun tonight."   

"Princess." I'm starting to feel sad. "How Luna going to feel? I mean someday I going to leave Ponyville and go back to the human world." 

Princess Celestia look at me and smile. "You're always welcome to come back here anytime, Tommy. Always." 

"Thank you princess." Than I said it. "You're such a mother to me." 

Celestia still smile. "You're welcome Tommy. I'll always be here if you needed me." 

Later on, the party still continue until ten o'clock. That's when I starting to feel very tried. I told Luna I was going back to my room and go to sleep. Luna is going to stay up until midnight when the party is over. Once I got into my bedroom, I quickly change clothes into my pajamas before I collapse. I fell asleep instantly when I lay down on the bed. 

I never knew what happened until the next morning. I found Luna sleeping on my bed next to me. That night Luna was very exhausted from dancing. She decided to sleep in one of the guest's rooms instead of her bedroom. She was way too tired to walk, fly, or transport herself back to her room with her magic. Luna didn't know I was in one of the guest's room, and she fell asleep on my bed next to me. 

While I was asleep, I was going to turn myself over to hug a pillow, but instead I was hugging Luna. I didn't even know, and I was too tried to open my eyes. "This is the hardest pillow I ever slept on." I thought to myself. But, it was soft and warm, and it smells heavenly. I felt so comfortable that I didn't move the whole night, I was hugging Luna like a stuff toy, like how a little child would sleep with their teddy bear. When the morning comes, it won't be surprising.

Chapter 7: Tommy and the Canterlot ponies

The next day, Princess Celestia is wondering around the corridors at the guest room section. She is looking for Luna and wondering which room she's sleeping in. She didn't bother looking at the other occupied rooms. But, she did checked mine. 

"Tommy?" she gently knock on the door. "Sorry to bother you, but have you seen Luna?" There was no answer, I was still asleep. Celestia gently open the door and walk into the room, it was dark, because of the curtains were closed. She gently open the curtains trying not to wake me. Then suddenly, Celestia gasped once she saw me and Luna sleeping in the same bed. Celestia giggled. She knew Luna was very tired last night and went into the wrong bedroom. Celestia tried to pick Luna up by using her magic. As Luna moved gently away from me, I grab hold of Luna so she cannot move anymore. "Oh my...." said Celestia. She had no choice but to wake me up. 

"Tommy." she whispered into my ear, but still no answer. "Tommy, please wake up." 

"Ohhh~, not now Ma!" I groaned. Then it came to my senses. That didn't sound like my mother's voice, it sounded more like Princess Celestia. I quickly opened my eyes and sat up "P-Princess! Oh I'm so sorry I uh-uh, you needed anything from me?" 

"No that's quite alright. I just needed to get Luna back to her bedroom." 

"Luna? Where?" Then I look, and there she was sleeping next to me, still having her pink dress on, and her pink coat and mane. "L-Luna! What are you doing in here!?" 

Luna finally awoke but sleepy. "What?" said Luna opening her eyes. "Oh hi Tommy...TOMMY?!" Luna jump out of the bed. "Why are you doing in m-- your room??" Luna is now confused. She didn't even know this was my bedroom. 

"Luna, you're must very tired last night." said Celestia. "You've must gotten into his room by mistake."   

"Ohhh." Luna starting to realize. "I see, sorry for yelling at you." 

"It's alright Luna. I forgive you." 

"Thank you Tommy." Luna smooched me in the face, and I can see that Celestia was trying not to laugh and looking away for a second. Then Luna left the room smiling to herself. 

"Well, you and Luna must very close." Celestia winked at me, letting me know that was joke. I wasn't sure, because I'm starting to have a little crush on Luna ever since last night. She was so pretty, and all. Later on, Princess Celestia took me to down to a large  long hallway, with the stained glass windows depicting various events. The Elements of Harmony, and six ponies defeating Discord. There's a door at the end of the hallway. It's a Purple, lavender, and pink, with an eight-pointed star in the middle. Celestia unlocked it by using her horn. Once she opened it, she took out my rifle, pistol, and my ammo bag. She made sure that the rifle and my pistol were not loaded, then she gave it back to me. "Now don't use these weapons in any reason, okay?" 

"Yes but, why are you giving it back to me?" 

"I trust you now, and I want you to be my Royal Guard from now on." 

"What?!" I can't believe what I've just heard. Than Celestia gave me a golden badge which looks like her cutie mark. It has a picture of Canterlot Castle, and my full name on it. 

"Well?" Celestia suggested. 

"Yes!" I said proudly, than I gave her a salute. 

"Okay that's enough." Celestia chuckled. "It's Sunday, so please go and enjoy your time off. 

"Yes, and thank you princess." The princess left. Later, I went back to my room, and put my weapons in a safe place. Today, I decided to stay here in Canterlot. I wanted to explore the big beautiful castle. I got dressed into my suite which Rarity made for me. I headed down to the streets of Canterlot, it's a small town located next to the castle. The town is fill of very wealthly ponies. They reminds me the people who lives on Park Avenue. 

The ponies around Canterlot are very formal. Some of them are very friendly but most of them are very self-centered, and stubborn. They never saw a human before, and they made some very rude remarks, especially those two married couple. Jet Set and Upper Crust. They are very self-centered and snobbery. I always ignore those type of people, but that married couple are very annoying. Wherever I go today, they always there. The first two hours just being in the Canterlot streets, it's just very frustrating. I decided to go back to the castle and to find some work instead. I asked Celestia is there anything I can do. She said there is a party outside of the castle's grounds and they do needed some waiters to help out with the refreshments. So I took the job. When I got down to the party, son of a gun! There they are again, Upper Crust and Jet Set. I went over to the crowd with a tray of refreshments, and I'm not going to lie, some ponies are friendly. But when I got to those two, they started to pick on me. 

"Oh my, what kind of clothes are you wearing?" said Upper Crust the female unicorn. "You called that fashion?" 

"Disgraceful." laughed Jet Set the male unicorn. "Now please get lost." 

I was very angry, but I have to let it slide. When I walked away, they continued to laugh at me. When I got back to the refreshment stand, I was grumbling to myself, than another unicorn came to speak to me. 

"Excuse me, sir?" 

"WHAT?!!" I screamed and I made the unicorn jumped. Immediately, I calm down. "Oh, I'm so sorry I didn't mean to yell at you. Anyway what do you need?" 

"It's nothing, I'm here because Princess Celestia sent you a message." 

"Oh? What is it?" 

"She said that she wanted to join the party so she can keep you company." 

"Really? Well that's nice of her. Please tell her I will be delighted to see her." 

"Yes sir." 

As the unicorn left, I had other ideas. Since the princess will be joining the party, I'm going to pay them back for what they had said to me. A little while later I was still in the refreshment stand preparing food and drinks. While I was cleaning the table with the sponge that I made a mess earlier by cutting the lemons. Upper Crust and Jet Set came to brother me again. They are really starting to get on my nerves. 


"Excuse me." said Jet Set. "Where is our drinks? We're been waiting for hours!" 

"It's right here," I pointed at those full glasses of cranberry juice. Jet Set and Upper Crust pick up their drinks without saying anything. 

"You missed a spot." said Upper Crust. 

"Where?" I was still cleaning the table. Then Upper Crust purposely spill some of her drink on the table. 

"There!" and they both laughed. I was furious. They still hang around and talked. When I had the chance after I finished cleaning up the table, I didn't dry the sponge at the sink, instead I sneakily squeeze all the juice back into Upper Crust's drink. Than, I walk away to make more drinks. When Upper Crust took a zip of her drink, she spit it back out hitting on her husband's face. 

"Why did you do that for?!" said Jet Set. 

"The juice tasted disgusting! Urgh, I'm going to get something better." As Upper Crust and Jet Set left, they went to greet the Princess Celestia. They chatted a little while until Celestia was looking for me. 

"Be careful of that human." said Upper Crust. "He's so rude." 

"Oh, he's not that bad." said Celestia. "He's just a normal human being." Upper Crust and Jet Set said nothing as Celestia walk over to the refreshment stand. 

"Hpmh! What can the princess see in that human?" grunted Jet Set. 

"Hi Tommy." said Celestia. 

"Oh hi princess." 

"How's everything so far?" 

"Just great." I said, and I even told her about the unicorns around here, the things they say to me and all. But I didn't mention about Upper Crust and Jet Set, because I'm waiting for the right moment to get back at them. 

Celestia snorted. "Yes, they are very formal ponies after all, but please Tommy, don't let them get into you, it really doesn't worth it." 

"I know, princess." 

"Princess Celestia." somepony called. "Please come over and meet one of our special guest." 

"Okay, coming." called Celestia. "I'll be right back Tommy." 

Than Celestia went to talk to the unicorns. The famous unicorn in this party is Fancypants, a Canterlot high society unicorn pony. Besides him is a white and pink beautiful female unicorn. What I know about her is that she is a supermodel pony. Her name is Fleur de Lily, she sure has the same taste as Rarity's. 

The whole time I just stayed inside of the refreshment stand. It seems like Princess Celestia is very busy talking to the other unicorn ponies. Well, like I said, everypony love the princess. I went back to cutting lemons again for the lemonade. While I was cutting the lemons, Upper Crust and Jet Set came back. 

"Excuse me, human?" said Jet Set. "Can we have some lemonade?" 

"Yes we're thirsty." said Upper Crust. They both said it in a very rude tone, so I paid no attention to them. I have side eyes, I can see the corners of my eyes. I noticed Princess Celestia is walking back towards the tent. 

"Here's my chance." I thought to myself. I continue to ignore Upper Crust and Jet Set. 

"Are you deaf?" said Upper Crust. "We want some lemonade!" 

"Do you want us to report to Princess Celestia about this? If you don't want get into trouble, now get us some lemonade!" 

By than, Princess Celestia is already behind them, but Jet Set and Upper Crust didn't even notice. And, here's my chance. 
I look up to them. "Do you wanted some lemonade?" 

"You fool! We repeated like ten times! Now get us some lemonade you foolish human!" 

Princess Celestia look shocked and surprise. "Now look here!" she began, while the two unicorn jumped and turn around to face the princess. 

"Oh! Princess, we meant to say was--" 

"Don't say those horrible things to Tommy! He's not a mind reader!" 

"B-but princess!" 

"Now, no excuses, I heard everything, now please leave him alone." 

Than Upper Crust and Jet Set left the tent and went back to the party. Deep inside, I felt so much better, and I wasn't angry anymore. 

"Sorry, I didn't really expect that to happen." said Celestia. 

"It's okay princess. Besides I got nothing to do today, and I'm glad to help out the party."

Chapter 8: "It's the Confederate!"

I've been in Ponyville for almost three weeks now, and sometimes I've wondered if the war is really over yet. Sometimes I'm very worried about Captain Henry and the others. I hope they would make it out okay. Today is Monday, the princess wanted me to be her guard instead. She is going towards Ponyville's Town Hall for a meeting. It didn't sound very good and I was starting to worry. Once we've arrived to Ponyville's Town Hall, I was waited outside, guarding the door while the princess and the mayor is inside having the meeting. It took like an hour long, then finally Princess Celestia came out. 

"Tommy." Celestia whispered. "Come inside, I needed to talk to you in private." I went inside, and I expected bad news. "There's something I needed to tell you." 

"What it is?" I wondered. 

"One of the pony spotted some other humans at the hills yesterday." 

"Really? Who are they?" 

"Well, they wore the same uniforms like yours... but there not the same colors as yours." 

"Oh no, it's not blue is it?" 

"No, it's gray.'" 

"Oh no no no no! It's the Confederate!" I was shocked. The Confederate Army found where I was, and not just that, they will be also launching an attack. Celestia showed me a letter, it was left by the Confederate Army last night. They are going to attack today, but...not sure when. The news soon spread and everypony in Ponyville are evacuating. "Princess, I thought this land was protected by your magical force. But why...?" 

"The humans gotten very close to our land Tommy. I'm sorry, we've already been spotted and there's no way I can--" 

"But princess! You've got to do something! Hundreds of ponies will die here! We don't have an army strong enough to fight back, they all have cannons, rifles, galting guns, and dynamites. I'm only one who has a rifle to fight. It's not enough!" 

"Don't worry. We're going to evacuate Ponyville." 

The only way I can save the ponies is to help them. Most of the ponies already know about this and getting ready to evacuate Ponyville. Later, while I was helping the ponies to evacuate, Luna, Twilight and her friends came as soon as possible, they heard the news and they were worried. Even though the Confederate didn't know about me hiding in this town, but they are going to found out. 

"Tommy!" called Luna and running towards me. "I heard what happen! Is it true they're coming to get you?" 

"I'm not sure." I said. "You better head back to Canterlot, all of you. It'll be safer there." 

"I'm not leaving here since you're in trouble." 

"The humans are coming here to destroy Ponyville?" said Applejack. 

"If they are." said Rainbow Dash. "I'm going to fight these guys one by one. Show them who's the boss." 

"You can't Rainbow! They have rifles, once a bullet hits you, you're finished!" 

"You're a good friend of ours Tommy." said Applejack. "We're not going to back away since our friend is in danger." 

"Exactly!" added Pinkie Pie. "We're not going to abandon our friend when he's in danger." 

"I agree." said Rarity. 

"But, um... isn't it a bit dangerous?" said Fluttershy, she seem to be frighten. 

"Look," I said. "Thank you all for supporting me, but I don't want to see any of you getting hurt, now please, you have to go." 

"We're not leaving!" they all shouted together. 

"Princess Celestia!" said Twilight. "Please do something! Anything!" 

"It's too late now Twilight. They know where we are." 

I just realize something when I look at Princess Celestia. I just realized that the humans talked about the legendary story of the winged unicorn. They also might want to capture her. I have to stay here to protect the princess, and my friends. 

"Oh my gosh!" cried one of the ponies. "Those humans are here!" 

We all look up the hill, there, it's the Confederate Army. They are just getting their cannons loaded up and then they opened fire. It hit one of the buildings, than another and another. 

"EVERYPONY, RUN FOR LIVES!!!" I scream as loud as I could so the ponies can hear me. They all ran but they were trying to take shelter underneath the houses. "DON'T HIDE IN THOSE BUILDINGS!! YOU'LL BE KILLED!! RUN FOR THE HILLS, GET GOING!! HEAD TOWARDS CANTERLOT!!" The ponies ran for it until one of them got shot. There are a lot of the soldiers this time. They were shooting at the ponies. Than I fired back, distracting them from shooting the ponies.  The other ponies went and saved that wounded pony. Celestia is guiding the ponies back to Canterlot, while the Confederate Army is beginning their invasion. There were at least two hundred soldiers ran down the hill, and I took cover behind the hay stacks, reloaded my rifle and ready to fight. The Confederate saw me and started to shoot at me. I looked over at Luna, Twilight and her friends taking cover behind a broken haycart with some hay stacks. They were scared and couldn't make a run for it. They were pinned. 

"Hey Twilight!" I shouted. "Try to make a run for it, while I distract them!" 

"But!" 

"DON'T BE SCARED!! JUST KEEP GOING AND DON'T STOP!!" I put my rifle over my head, than I started to shoot at the soldiers non-stop with my Henry Rifle. "YOU LEAVE THEM ALONE YOU ASSHOLES!!!" The Confederate took cover while I was shooting in all directions. Luna, Twilight and her friends didn't make a run for it. They watched in horror as I gunned down three soldiers. After I reload, I jumped out to the opening and kept shooting at the soldiers. But that was a stupid move, they got me. At first I got shot in the shoulder, then my stomach and my right arm. I fell down to the ground. The seven ponies watched in terror, as I got shot. 

"Hang on Tommy!" shouted Luna as she ran up to me. 

"Come on girls!" said Twilight. "We have to gave him!" Twilight and her friends cam around me and Twilight case a spell which called the shell. It forms a big bobble and it protects you from any harmful things. Twilight and the others got to me as soon as they could and brought me away. The soldiers kept on shooting at the bobble that we're in, and nothing really happen. Then we flew back to Canterlot Castle. Tha man who's in charge of this attack is General Barnsby. He and his men spotted this town yesterday, and they also spotted Princess Celestia the legendary Alicorn. This time, they plan a way to capture her. 

About a half hour later back at Canterlot, there were a lot of wounded ponies. Luckily none of them were killed, and there were nurses and doctors there to help. Luna and Twilight put me down on a mattress. I was screaming in pain. As the other ponies look at me, they were horrified. They never saw someone bleeding that much. I was shot three times and I survived. I didn't know how, but right now I couldn't feel my own body. 

"Oh my gosh!" said Rarity covering her face. "I've never seen so much blood!" I continue screaming, and my body is getting cold fast. Twilight examine my body. 

"Oh no! He's dying!" screamed Twilight. 

"Nooo! Tommy, please stay alive!" cried Luna as she is holding me. Princess Celestia came over to me. 

"Twilight, I need your help." she said. Twilight and Celestia team up together using their magic powers to heat up my body and took out the bullets which impacted into my body. Than, they heal my wounds and the pain was gone. It was a very painful progress though. 

"Are you okay?" asked Luna and Twilight. 

"I'm fine, thank you." 

"Thank goodness." said Celestia. "Your heart rate is very low, and luckily we still save you." 

"Thank you for saving my life again you guys... I really appreciat it." All six ponies and the two princesses look down on me with delighted smile, and relief. "How about the other ponies? Are they alright?" 

"They're fine." said Celestia. She also helped them to get back to normal, and I'm glad to see the other ponies are alive. 

"The humans are coming!" alerted the guards. As everypony went to the hillside to look. There were a few dozen of troops marching up the hill and carrying a white flag. 

"Wait a minute," said Fluttershy. "It looks like they wanted to talk." 

"Talk?" said Rainbow Dash. "Look what they have done to Ponyville! It's a mess!" 

"Ah'll say, we should teach these snobs a lesson, right here, right now!" added Applejack. 

"Yeah!" said all the other ponies. 

"No!" Princess Celestia ordered, and everypony looked up to her. "Let me do the talking." 

"Don't princess!" I said as I got up. "Don't do it! It's a trap! They wanted to capture you!" 

"Don't worry. Your safety is more important." Than the princess looked away and walked up to the edge of the hillside, she stood strong and tall, looking down at the Confederate Army with her serious look in her eyes. " I'm Princess Celestia, the ruler of Equestria. And who are you?" 

"I'm General Barnsby of the Confederate Army of the northern Virgina. And we're here for the yankee." Then the ponies look at the with fear. "We claimed that he's a spy of our territory." 

"I'm not a spy!" I shouted. "I'm a rifleman from the Army of Potomac!" 

"Well, princess?" said Bransby. "We have hostages." Then the soldiers showed the princess the hostages. Their were eight ponies that were captured. We were all shocked. "You eithier give us that Yankee or we kill one of your royal subjects." 

I can see that Princess Celestia is struggling, and I had no choice. "Princess, you should let me go." 

"No!" cried Luna, holding onto me. "Please don't!" 

"Why, that is a dirtiest trick someone can pull!" said Applejack furiously. 

"Let's get him!" said Rainbow Dash. 

"NO!" I yelled. "Do you want to see one of the ponies die?" They all stood still and said nothing. "Now, I think it's time for me to go.... It's been great knowing you all." 

"Tommy, don't...." said Luna with her tears running down her face. 

"Goodbye everypony." Than I dropped my rifle and stepped forward. Suddenly Luna noticed a sun light reflection that came from a tree. She looked closely, it was a man with a sniper rifle. Luna noticed where he was pointing at, it wasn't me, it was her sister. When the sniper was about to fire, Luna jump in front of Celestia. 

"SISTER!!" as Luna jump in front of her sister, the sniper misses his target, and it hit Luna in the back. Celestia stared at her sister in shock as she fell down to the ground. 

"LUNA!!" cried Celestia. Quickly I spotted the sniper and pick up my rifle again and gunned the sniper down than I start to shoot at the soldiers. 

"My plan didn't work! Kill them boys!" said Barnsby. 

When the soldiers were about to grab their rifles, Princess Celestia flew up into the air with her angry eyes glowing bright eyes. She set the hostage ponies free and then Celestia flew down to the soldiers and began her attack. But it was another trap. The soldiers toss their lasso and caught Princess Celestia, and dragged her down to the ground and tied her up, and they covered her horn up with the leather bag and tied it up. Celestia is no longer can uses her magic. 

"NOOO!!!" I cried. "CELESTIA!!!" I angerly shot at the soldiers, and they all fired back. This time I took cover, and there was no chance to fight back. The Royal Guards tried to save the princess and they were shot as well. The Confederate quickly drag Celestia away and there was no chance to save her. 

"Princess NOOO!!" cried Twilight, as she tries to go out there to save her. 

"Get down! You don't want to get shot!" 

"But! The princess!" After the soldiers retreated back to Ponyville, the other ponies went to save the wounded guards which they were shot. I quickly went over to Luna. She was bleeding pretty badly. 

"Luna! Luna!!!" I cried as I was holding her in my arms. "Please answer me!" Luna open her eyes and looked at me. 

"My... my sister...is she okay?" Than, I place my face against her's. "Yes, but... she's been captured...." 


"Oh no! My big sister!" Luna tried to stand up, but she fell back down to the ground. 

"No Luna. Stay down you're hurt. Here, let me help. Just don't look." It was disgusting, but this is the only way I can save her. I used my teeth to pull the bullet back out. Luna screamed in pain when I did that. Then quickly I put the bandage on her to stop the bleeding. 

"Ewww!" remarked the ponies. 

"I know it's very disgusting, but this is the only way that I can save her." 

"Tommy, we've go to save my sister! She's in danger!" 

"We can't let those humans get away with this!" said Rainbow Dash. "What will happen to Equestria without Princess Celestia?" 

"Then, Princess Luna will have to take charge." said Rarity. 

Then, Spike came running down from the castle, he saw everything. "Oh no! You mean the princess is kidnapped?" 

"Yes Spike." said Twilight. "And we're going to rescue the princess." All of the ponies agreed including the Royal Guards. 

"NO!" I shouted. "I want you all to stay here to look out for Princess Luna. She's the only one princess left, and I really do not want to see any of my friends getting hurt... and I'm sorry. It's my fault that humans are here, and I'm going to do this alone, and I'm going to make them pay for what they done." 

The other ponies didn't say anything. Than I turned to Luna. She was crying in tears. "Listen, Luna. I know everything is tough for you right now. But I wanted you to understand, if your sister and I can't make it back, you're going to be in charge to take care of Equestria." 

"But I can't! Only my big sister can handle something like this." 

"Luna, you have to. It is time for you to step up, and remember, if your sister and I can't make it back... you take charge." Everypony looked at me with their sad eyes, not one word was spoken. 

Luna gave me a sad kiss and I walked away. I walked back down to Ponyville and the town was almost burned down to the ground. There were dead bodies of the soldiers, and I picked up there ammunition as much as I can carry, and I took an extra pistol. When I was about to leave, I've discovered a piece of paper lying there. I picked it up and read it. It was mouth written by Celestia. It says; "Tommy, if you're reading this, quickly, so get Twilight and the others to help you. The humans are taking me away somewhere, further down south. So please, get help from..." That was it. She probably had dropped the letter when the soldiers took her away. No matter what... I'm going to bring her back home safely. She always looked after me, she a mother to me, and she's an angel to me, and I'm going to bring her back in one piece and that's a promise.

Chapter 9: The Union Army Arrives

A few minutes passed when I left Ponyville. The other ponies were searching for survivors and luckily no ponies were killed. For more than maybe two thousand years, Equestria was in a war once with earth ponies, unicorns, and pegasus. That was the only one war they ever fought at never happened again until now, when the humans came. The ponies were upset for losing their homes, well, most importantly the princess. 

"We just can't leave Tommy out there alone!" brusted Rainbow Dash. "He can't fight all those guys all by themselves." 

"I know Rainbow." said Twilight. "But how on equestria are we going to fight them? They have rifles, like what Tommy said." 

"Oh come on Twi!" said Applejack. "You're a unicorn, you can do something like, using your magic to defeat those soldiers." 

"I know Applejack, but it just...." Twilight was running out of options, she really wanted save the princess, but it will cost one of her friends life in this situation. "I don't want to lose any of you. Look what just happen to Tommy back there, he nearly killed himself for defending us. And look what happen to Luna, she almost killed herself from saving her sister.." 

"But Twilight." said Fluttershy. "Just leaving him out there alone? What happens if they really don't make it back?" 

"I don't know...." Twilight look over and starred at the dead Confederate soldier. She just imagine what will happen to Princess Celestia and me. "I just can't! If we go out there, one of us will end up just like them!" 

"But Twilight." said Spike. "Think what will happen without Princess Celestia. What will happen without her?" 

"Spike... but I just-- I...." Twilight couldn't speak another word, and she began to cry. "I'm so sorry Princess Celestia... please forgive me..." Twilight's friends felt sorry for her and gave her a hug. 

"Don't worry sugercube." said Applejack. "I know they will be just fine." 

"Thank you Applejack, but still..." 

Rarity spotted something on the hills. "Is that Tommy?" she pointed. 

Everypony took a closer look. At first they only saw one person standing there, and than they saw a several groups of soldiers stepped out of the trees. 

"It's the humans again!" screamed Spike. The ponies panicked and quickly ran for their lives. 

"WAIT!" yelled Twilight. "Look! They don't seem to be attacking." 

The ponies stop and gather around. They took a closer look at the humans. They wore the same blue uniforms just like Tommy's, and they seem to be harmless even though they are armed. 

"Wait a minute." said Pinkie Pie. "They are wearing the same outfits just like Tommy's." 

"Twilight?" said Fluttershy. "Are they...?" 

"Yes, they are! They are his soldiers." said Twilight. Than she saw a man waving at them. 

"Hey there!" a man called. It was Captain Henry. Than Twilight gave him permission for Henry and his troops to come into the village, and there were at least thirty five troops. At first the men were surprised, they never saw ponies that can talk before, and still wondered why. Henry is getting his memories back. "The talking ponies." he thought. Than he look at the ponies. Yes. Captain Henry used to know Princess Celestia, and he never saw her again since he was thirteen. It was Henry all along which I never knew. Sometimes, early 1862, I remember he used to take out a golden necklace and he would look at it. I never got a closer look, that was his secret. 

Henry's soldiers waited outside of Town Hall while Henry and Twilight having a long talk inside. Henry explain what really had happened. His troops had been looking for me over two weeks, and he explain that the Confederate had retreated back to the south and probably got split up and the other half of the unit ended up here. Twilight told her story about me. How I ended up here and all that. Twilight also mention about the princess is in danger and they really needed his help, and told him that I went to save her on my own. 

"So Tommy actually went after them alone?" 

"Yes." said Twilight. "He refused to have any help at all." 

"That's no good. We have the enemy's intel they are going to regroup just outside of Fawn Lake. There will be hundreds of troops there, and he had no chance to fight back all by himself. I must get going." 

As Henry and Twilight step outside, Twilight interrupted him. "Wait! We're coming too!" 

"What? Are you crazy? This is dangerous. You guys had no weapons to fight." 

"Well I can use magic on them. Here." Than Twilight surprised Henry by turning his rifle into a harmless snake, then changed it back into it normal rifle. 

"Well I see." said Henry. "But still--" 

"Oh, come on!" Rainbow Dash interrupted. "We're not afraid of danger. We're doing this for the princess, and her Tommy's sake!" 

"Are you sure? One of us will not make it back alive." 

"We're gonna save the princess, and we're gonna do it." said Applejack. 

"Princess Celestia is my most grateful teacher, and I don't want to see the princess gets hurt." said Twilight. 

"I'm maybe scared or afraid, but I'm not going to let those foolish humans get away for this." said Fluttershy bravely. 

"We may be weak, but together, we stand." said Rarity. 

"Because we are all good friends and we always be there for one another." said Twilight. 

"You see? That's what are friends are for." finished Pinkie Pie. 

Henry looked at the six ponies. They stood brave and strong, and ready to face the real danger. "Alright." Henry finally spoke. "You can all come along." The ponies felt grateful, and there is a chance to save the princess after all. Before the soldiers and the six ponies are ready to go, Luna came. 

"Wait!" shouted Luna while she was walking towards them. She was still limping from her wounds. 

"Princess Luna?" gasped Twilight. "Why are you doing here? You need to stay here and rest." 

"I can't Twilight. I can't just sit here and do nothing while my sister is in trouble, and I can't just let Tommy go out there to fight on his own." 

"Luna..." 

"I want them to come back home safely, and I don't want anything bad happening to them." 

Meanwhile, I was on my way to save Princess Celestia. Not for long I found the Confederate Army hanging around on the open plains just a few miles north from Fawn Lake. There is a large airship, they were using it to ship supplies, but this is being used to deliver Celestia further down south. Once they leave, there won't be another chance to save her. As I approach, one of the soldiers saw me. 

*NOTE: Their were airship at that time, but this one I'm just making it up.   

"General!" shouted the soldier. "That Yankee is here!" 

"Really?" said Barnsby. "How did he know we're here?" No one knows but Celestia had dropped the letter to let me know where she is. 

"Listen Barnsby!" I shouted from the distance. "I'm here for the princess! You rather surrender to me, or else face the consequences!" 

They all laughed. "You're kidding right? Surrender to you? Oh come on, I've got at least two hundreds soldiers here to kill you right now." than he turn away. "Do it boys." 

Before the soldiers grab their rifles, I grab my dual pistols and began shooting at the soldiers. Once I gunned them down I took cover behind the low stone wall. Barns ran towards to the airship and there are hundreds of troops are on sight and started to shoot at me. Than I saw a group of soldiers are pushing a large cage onto the airship. 

"That's Princess Celestia! Hold on princess! I'm coming for you!"

Chapter 10: "I'm leaving here with the princess!"

When Princess Celestia was loaded onto the airship, it wasn't ready to leave yet. It hasn't been fueled. Princess Celestia heard my voice, then she heard gunshots. The fight is on. She saw I was the only one here to save her. 

"Tommy!" shouted Celestia. "Please don't get yourself hurt! Go get Twilight and the others!" Than Celestia was interrupted by a soldier pointing a gun at her. 

"Shut up! If you don't I'm going to kill you!" Then Bransby smacked him in the face. 

"Are you crazy?!" Barnsby remarked. "We need her alive! This Alicorn worth thousands of dollars! When we sell her away by than, we'll have a strong army to defeat those Yankees!" 

"You hear me Barnsby!" I yelled. "I'm leaving here with the princess! No one can stop me!" I continue firing, taking down his men one by one, but it was endless. By then, I was running out of ammo. I still have plenty of my pistol ammo but it's useless against long range targets. I can't run out to the opening to grab ammunition from the dead soldiers or else I'll be killed. I was pinned. I know I shouldn't fight alone. I just don't want to see any of my friends getting hurt. It's really doesn't worth it. 

Than suddenly, I heard multiple gunshots fired in the distance behind me. It wasn't the Confederates, it was the Union Army. I was surprise, and there, I saw Twilight, Applejack, Rainbow, Fluttershy, Pinkie Pie, Rarity, and Luna. Even Captain Henry is here. 

"Tommy!" cried the ponies as they came running down towards me. 

"Girls! Why are you all doing here? I thought I told you not to come?" 

Than Henry came over to me. "Private Watson! What on earth are you doing here fighting these snobs all by yourself?" 

"Captain, I--" 

"This is insane Private! No one fights alone in this war! We all have to fight together!"   

Than Twilight looked at me. "I told him everything Tommy. We really can't let you fight alone." 

"Tommy, I'm sorry." said Luna. "I can't stand watching you getting hurt, and my sister is in danger. She's the only one who understands me. I really can't lose her again." 

I look at the ponies, and I can see how concerned they were about their princess safety. "Alright, but stay in cover. You really don't want to get hurt." 

"Hey look!" Henry pointed. "They're getting away!" 

"Oh no! They're leaving with Celestia!" 

The airship started up and ready to take flight. There are a few soldiers are untying the ropes. There's only like five troops and including Barnsby is on it. 

"Quickly! They're getting away!" shouted Rainbow Dash. 

"Hold on! Don't run out there yet! Captain, we need some support!" 

"You've got it! Come on boys, covering fire!" 

The men started shooting, making the Confederate soldiers pinned while Twilight, Luna, and me ran for the opening. 

"Alright Twilight! Let's do it!" said Luna. Twilight and Luna using there magical force by transforming the Confederate's rifles in snakes. 

"What happen to my rifle?!" screamed the Confederate soldiers. They were distracted while I was making a run for it to the airship. 

"Tie them up Applejack!" said Twilight. 

"You've got it sugercube!" Applejack and the others run to the opening. Rainbow Dash and Rarity was kicking a couple of the soldiers, and Pinkie Pie round them up into a circle, than Applejack use her lasso, each pony got the each end of the rope and running in circles to tie them all up together. 

"Good work everypony!" cheered Twilight. 

"Eehaw!" cheered Applejack. 

"Get back here Barnsby!" I yelled in the distance, running after the airship while it was taking off. 

"Come on Twilight!" said Luna. She started to run even though she is still injured. "We've got to save my sister!" 

"Princess Luna! Wait for me!" called Twilight. Twilight hop on Luna's back, than she start to spread her wings and began to fly. 

While I was running, I grab onto a rope which still is attached onto the airship. Right away the airship is already flying over twenty feet high up in the air. I was beginning to struggle as I was trying to climb up the rope. Than I was starting to loss my grip. Princess Luna came just in time to pick me up while I was about to fall. Luna quickly flew over to the airship's deck where their were only a few soldiers standing there shooting at us. I grab my pistol and gunned down the four soldiers. Once they're dead, we landed on the airship. 

"I never seen you kill somebody before." said Luna quietly. 

"That's why I told you not to come." I said. "This is war, and war kills." 

"Where's Barnsby?" Twilight wondered. There he was, standing there in front of the cage where Celestia is. 

"Well look what we have here." he said. "One unicorn and a another Alicorn. This must be your sister." 

"Leave them alone!" demanded Celestia. "They got nothing to do with this!" 

"Give it up Barns!" I said. "We've got most of your men, and now it's just you and me. We'll settle this once in for all." We dropped our weapons and we will fight with our fists.   

"Tommy." said Luna. She is trying to come over to me. 

"Stay back Luna. I'm going to teach this scumbag a lesson for killing half of my family, my friends, and the ones I love." 

"They deserved it! They are bunch of scums and don't like the way we run things, and now, you're going to join them." 

"I'm gonna bury you alive, Barnsby!" 

We began our fight. I punch him in the face. I got kneed in the face after I lowered my head down after he punched me into my stomach. Then I lost my patience, I used all my strength to fight back. He knocked me down to the floor and beating me up until I couldn't fight back. Than Barnsby pull out his gun, and pointed in my face. 

"Say goodnight, you Yankee bastard." 

"No! Tommy no!" cried Luna as knocked Bransby down. 

"That's it! You're gonna get it!" Than he pointed the gun on Luna, I quickly got back up and reach for his gun. He open fire but he missed his target. Than we struggled, Barnsby is trying to point his gun at me and I was trying my best to push the gun away from me. I used all of my strength once again, pointed his gun towards his chest and I shot him. Bransby fell down to the floor. 

"I think he's dead." I said, while catching my breath. Twilight and Luna went up to Princess Celestia. 

"Big sis!" cried Luna. "I'm glad that you're alright." 

"Me too." said Celestia. "Thank you for coming for me." 

"You can thank us later princess." said Twilight. "We have to get you out of here." While Twilight is trying to unlocked the cage's door, when Barnsby interrupted. 

"You fools! You think your going to get out of here alive? I don't think so!" Barnsby already had lilted the fuse. He is going to blow up the entire airship. "This ship is carrying a ton of explosives, and you're not going to get out of here alive!" 

"You fool!" I was going to kick him in the face, but he dies instantly. 

"You all must go!" said Celestia. "You only have a few seconds to get out of here!" 

"No big sister! I'm not leaving here without you!" 

"We've came this far, and we're not going to turn back now." Than Twilight quickly unlocked the cage's door. 

"Okay, you two get out of here while I untie Celestia." 

"But--" 

"NOW!!!" I demanded. Than Luna and Twilight quickly left the airship while I was untying Celestia. "Thank you for coming after me Tommy..." said Celestia. 

"I'm still your Royal Guard princess, and besides. I can't let them take you away, you're always like a mother to me princess and I'll never forget that." Than I got untied and uncover her horn. Than quickly, we ran for it. "JUMP!!!" 

The airship exploded just in seconds right after we just jumped. We were at least four hundred feet high up in the air. Celestia is next to me, than I saw her spreading her wide large beautiful wings and than she flew under me and caught me, and I was riding on her back. It was so amazing, I never been this high up before and riding on the Alicorn's back. It feels like flying up high in the sky with an angel. 

"Celestia! Tommy!" shouted Luna and Twilight in the distance. 

"Girls! We've did it!" I shouted. Than we cheered and headed back to the open fields. 

Captain Henry and the others were waiting for us, and they did saw the airship exploded and worried they if we got out alive. 

"Ohhh~" cried Fluttershy. "I don't think they would make it." 

"They will sugarcube." said Applejack. "I know they're will be alright." 

"Oh princess." said Rarity. "What happen if we lost both of them?" 

"Don't say that!" exclaimed Pinkie Pie. "They will come back I know! I can sense it!" 

"But you don't feel anything is coming." said Rainbow Dash. 

There's a long silence, and than the ponies broke into tears holding each other. 

"Twilight!" They all cried. "Our closest friend, whatever have we done?!" 

"Don't cry girls." said Henry. "There they are..." 

The ponies stopped crying and look into the sky. There was Luna, Celestia, Twilight, and me. 

"They're alright!" screamed Fluttershy. 

Everyone cheered for us as we landed. Twilight's friends gave her a biggest group hug ever, and the soldiers gave me a mighty cheer and carried me up into their shoulders, and Luna and Celestia gave each other a warm sisterly hug. 

"I'm so glad that you're okay big sister." said Luna while she's in tears. "Don't ever leave me...." 

"I won't, I'll be right by your side little sister." than Celestia look each and one of us. "Thank you. Thank you all for coming after me. I couldn't done it without you." 

"Princess Celestia?" said Henry. Than suddenly, Celestia recognize that voice. 

"Henry?" she said. "Is that really you?" 

"Yes, it's me." Than he took his necklace out which Celestia gave him when he was thirteen. "I never forgotten about you." 

"Henry!" Celestia broke into tears. 

"Celestia!" They both gave each other a hug. 

"Oh my gosh, I've seen you for twenty years! Look at you, you're all grown up." 

"Yes I have." 

It was the most touching moment that we ever saw, and I can't believe that little boy which Princess Celestia told me about, it was actually Henry Oliver. That little boy, was him. I can't believe that they actually reunited after that incident with his father twenty years ago.

Chapter 11: "Goodbye my little ponies." (Final) 

Pinkie Pie, crying for the most beautiful moment, and than she has an idea. "Hey! You know what this is call for? A PARTY!" 

After all, this is a successful battle, and we do desreve a nice party. Once we returned to Ponyville, all of the ponies were gathered and cheering for us. They were even glad to see Princess Celesia in one piece. There was Spike, he was also glad to see Twilight and her friends. I told my men that it's okay to talk with the ponies, they won't do any harm. It was really awkward with the Union soldiers, talking to a bunch of cute looking, and big eye ponies. But they are really friendly as long you do anything that you'll regret. 

About the Confederate soldiers, we didn't kill them as we wanted to. Princess Celestia gave them another chance. She made them to do the hard work, rebuilding the town of Ponyville they had destroyed. The Royal Guards watched the Confederate soldiers while the ponies and the Union soldiers enjoying themselves. As the party went on, the soldiers enjoyed the food, and all the fun. 

Meanwhile, I was wondering around Ponyville by myself until Henry came to speak to me. 

"Tommy." he called. "What are you doing here all by yourself?" 

"Captain." I gave Henry a solute. 

"At ease....It's strange Tommy, how did you end up a place like this?" 

"Remember that time I ran into the forest? This is where I ended up... but I didn't go AWOL." 

"Don't worry. I know you didn't. Besides, Twilight told me everything. You even defended Ponyville and saving the princess and all. I am really honored to hear that.... I really should thank you Tom. I'm really happy to see Princess Celestia again." 

"Yeah, I know." at that point, I didn't sound to pleasant. 

"What's wrong?" 

"Oh, it's nothing I'm just hungry and tired from all that fight back there. Let's go get some food." 

"Wait a minute Tom... I got something to tell you." I knew he would say something like that, sooner or later. "We need you back in the army. The war is not over yet." 

I couldn't believe my ears, the war is still raging on. 

"I'm sorry, I know this place is really comfortable for you to stay, but... we need you back onto the line." 

"I understand.... When are we leaving?" 

"First thing tomorrow morning." 

"Alright." 

The moments became overwhelming. Princess Celestia called me onto a stage for an award. I was going to be honored by Princess Celestia. A lot of ponies and my men are watching me on stage for the honor. I wasn't feeling too good. I feel like crying... once again I feel like a child. On the stage, Luna is standing by her sister, and followed by Twilight, Rainbow Dash, Applejack, Rarity, Pinkie Pie, Fluttershy, and Spike, they all smiling at me. Than I looked at the crowds, hundreds of smiling ponies and my men. They are really happy to see that I was getting honored by Princess Celestia. Than, Princess Celestia made a speech. 

"Fillies and Gentlecolts, and our royal human subjects. Thank you for joining with us here in this wonderful afternoon in Ponyville. Today, I am honored to present Tommy Watson who had fought and defended Ponyville, and saved the other ponies and myself from the Confederate army with the Medal of Honor of Equestria!" 

Everyone cheered and Celestia gave me the golden Medal of Honor and put it on my shirt. I was very happy and sad at the same time, and I was still trying not to cry. 

"Come, Tommy." said Celestia. "Go make a speech. I know you've got a lot of great thing to say." When I look at Celestia's warm smile, I couldn't take it anymore. My eyes are starting to water up. I began the sob, than I knee down to the floor, and the tears are now flowing down my face. Everyone was wondering what happen to me, and than they knew I was crying. 

"I'm sorry..." I sobbed. "I-I can't.... I don't want to go back...." 

Henry looked down to the ground, and he knew it was rough for me right now even for himself. The ponies weren't surprise. 

"You mean..." said Pinkie Pie. "You're gonna leave us?" 

I nodded. The ponies are now feeling really sad. 

"What? You're leaving?" said Luna. 

"I'm sorry Luna... the war isn't over yet." 

"No! Please don't go!" cried Luna, as the other six ponies gathered around me. 

"I'm so sorry my little ponies. Duty calls....Being here with you all is the greatest. Fluttershy... thank you for your kindness, and nursing me back to health at the beginning. Twilight, you're the smartest and the most talented magical unicorn I ever met. You've taught me a lot about friendship and I'll never forget. Someday, you'll be just like Princess Celestia. Rainbow, well you're the coolest pony around here, but sometimes, don't try to brag too much, but you're a one loyal pony. Rarity, thank you for your generousity for making me all those clothes. Thank you. Pinkie Pie, you always make me smile and I always love your awesome parties. Thank you for making me feel so happy. Applejack, I've learned something from you too. Always be honest to yourself, and don't feel ashamed of hiding your true feelings. Princess Celestia, thank you for understanding me...and thank you for everything... Luna, you're such a loveable pony and you always keeping me company and all, but really... I love you..." Then I gave Luna a kiss right on her wet cheek. Luna blushed and looked at me with her watery eyes. 

"I love you too Tommy." said Luna. The six ponies friends gave me a group hug, than Luna, the biggest hug of all, and also Princess Celestia. 

I told everypony that I'll be leaving first thing tomorrow morning. To make things even worse, I'm not sure if I'm going to make it out alive or if I can return back here in Ponyville. Princess Celestia look at me and smile. 

"Spike, take a note please." Spike got out his scroll and quill. "I, Princess Celestia. Hereby decree, the human, Tommy Watson and Henry Oliver, will always be welcome to come back here in Ponyville anytime, to visit his loving ponies." Than Celestia gave me a map which shown where Ponyville is located. After I finished reading it, I gave it back to Celestia. I told her that I'm not sure when the war is going to be over, but if I get killed in the front line with this map on me. They will surely come here again to hunt Celestia again. But I drew my own map in my own novel I am writing. As I was drawing the map, I didn't put words, I put landmarks that I can remember how I got here. Luna spent the whole afternoon with me, I understand that she'll going to miss me deeply. 

"When are you going to come back?" asked Luna. 

"I don't know. I'm not sure how long the war is going to last." 

By night time, I went to say goodbye to Mr. and Mrs. Cake from the Sugarcube Corner, remembering the time Pinkie Pie use to steal cupcakes from me when I was serving them. Then I went to Rarity's place, remembering I was standing there and she would redoing my uniform. Then to the library, where Spike and Twilight lives, remembering seeing Twilight studying and Spike would organize book shelves. I even went to Fluttershy's Cottage where I first appeared into this place and all that animals she took care of. Then to Sweet Apples Acres, remembering I used to work with Big Mac and Applejack. Not much from Rainbow Dash, but I do remember her clearing the sky most of the time. Then at last, I went back to Canterlot, looking at my own bedroom when Celestia gave this room to me, where I used to sleep and when the time Luna accidentally slept in here with me that one time. 

I was about to go to sleep but I couldn't. It was too quiet, and I only can hear myself breathing. Then someone or somepony knocked on my door. "Who is it?" 

"It's me, Luna." 

"Please come in." Than Luna opened the door. "What's the matter Luna?" 

Luna came and bashed on top of my chest and started to cry. "Please let me sleep here for the night. Please?" 

"Of course." I said. 

The whole night, Luna was holding on to me, and didn't say anything. But I can hear her little sobs. 

When the morning came, the Union Army is ready to pull out. Captain Henry gave an order to his soldiers, no one is allowed to talk about what happen yesterday, not one word about it. They all didn't, they didn't say anything to anybody except themselves, until the war ended in two years later. Twilight and all of her friends said goodbye to me and they all gave me a hug. 

"Henry." said Celestia. "Take care of yourself. I'll miss you." 

"Me too princess, and don't worry, Tommy and I will make it out alive." After we siad goodbye to each other, we marched up to the hill, back to the other side of the human world. I was the last one to step out. Than suddenly Luna came running up to me and she stop a few feet away from me. 

"Goodbye Tommy!" said Luna. "Please come back soon! I'll miss you!" 

In April 9th, 1865. The Battle of Appomattox Court House was the last battle we ever fought. That's when the Confederacy surrendered to the Union Army. It's one of the greatest day ever, the war had finally ended. The signing of the surrender documents occurred in the parlor of the house owned by Wilmer McLean on the afternoon of April 9th. On April 12th, a formal ceremony marked the disbandment of the Army of Northern Virginia and the parole of it's officers and men, effectively ending the war in Virginia. 

After the war, I decided to leave from the army. I really had enough with killing. I went back to New York and start my new life. My sister was married to a man who has responsibity to take care of her, and he was also the best brother-in-law. He was my best buddy. The first two years when the war ended, I worked at the New York Central Railway operating trains between New York and Albany. Than I got another job working on the 9th Avenue Elevated Railway which opened in 1867. All those years I've been writing letters to Ponyville every once a month to keep in contact with the ponies. By 1870, when I got enough money, I went back to Virginia with Henry Oliver. The ponies were very pleased to see us again, especially Luna, she was very happy to see me, so does Twilight and her friends, and also Princess Celestia. Me and Henry decided to go back to Ponyville every once a year for two week visit during the summer. In 1880, I got a job working on the Virginia Central Railroad, than I moved to Chancellorsville, which is closer to Ponyville. Anytime I want to, I would go and visit my pony friends.  

Tommy enjoyed living close to the ponies until his death in 1932, age 88. In the future, no pony or no one would ever forget, "The Man in Blue Uniform." who fought in the war and defended Ponyville by the Confederacy, and a hero of Princess Celestia.
