Anon-A-Miss, a name hated by every single student who attended Canterlot High. The account had started just before Christmas and had become extremely popular throughout the school.

The one most affected of all was the girl who was blamed for the account. Sunset Shimmer. Before the account was made, a new student named Concerto had transferred to the school. He'd befriended Sunset and stuck by her side.

He had gamboge eyes like his mother and the same orange hair with yellow streaks. He looked like a male version of his mother, Adagio.

Sunset kept her head down, trying to ignore the stares and insults of the students. She just wanted to get out of the school and get home.

As she tried to leave, Gilda, Hoops, Score and Dumb-Bell cornered her, preparing to beat her up.

Gilda cracked her knuckles, preparing to beat the shit out of Sunset. As she went to strike, she felt a hand grab her own. The white-haired bully turned and saw the newest student, holding her arm tightly, increasing his grip as it started to hurt.

"Leave her alone, Gilda. Now. That goes for all of you. Sunset is innocent." Concerto said firmly, his eyes slightly glowing red thanks to the gem on a necklace his mother had gifted him.

Hoops and Score went to hit the male siren. Seeing this, he elbowed Gilda in the stomach and kicked Hoops in the chest, grabbing Score's arm and throwing the guy over his body. He repeated the move with Hoops, bending his arm backwards in the process.

Both of them tried to get up, but were round-housed in the face, knocking them out. He turned to Gilda, who watched in fear and shock. His body gave off raw equestrian magic.

Gilda grabbed a pocket knife out of her coat and went to stab him. Concerto knew what Gilda would try and do. He grabbed her wrist with one hand and used the other to take the small blade out of her hand. He threw it across the hallway, leaving Gilda unarmed.

"Give up, Gilda. Sunset is not Anon-A-Miss." Concerto growled, keeping her at bay so Sunset could get Principal Celestia or Vice-Principal Luna.

The redhead looked over at her friend and smiled. She shakily stood up and went to fetch Principal Celestia. Knowing that Sunset would be safe, Concerto restrained Gilda's arm by holding her in an arm lock. His aunt Aria and mom had taught him self-defence and several fighting styles.

Soon, Sunset came back with Vice-Principal Luna who dealt with Gilda.

"Sunset told me that you defended her. Thank you, Concerto." Luna said, smiling. While she hated fighting in the school, Sunset had told her that Concerto defended her and didn't attack first. She saw no reason to punish them.

"You're welcome, Vice-Principal Luna. Sunset's my friend and I won't let anyone harm her. She's not Anon-A-Miss." Concerto replied, smiling back as Sunset kissed his cheek playfully.

"My hero." Sunset cooed teasingly. Concerto was the only one aside from Flash who believed she was innocent.

Sunset and Concerto walked out of the school, heading towards his car. As they got in, the male siren came up with an idea.

"Hey, Sunset? Why don't you stay with me and my family for the time being? Until Anon-A-Miss clears up. I won't let you be targeted by them. You deserve the best, Sunset." Concerto said, squeezing her shoulder gently.

The redhead smiled, her eyes watering as she grinned. Concerto and Flash were the only ones she had left. Her former friends had chosen to believe she was Anon-A-Miss like everyone else.

Concerto started the car and drove them to his home. A two-story mansion owned by his mother and aunts. They had managed to become rich enough to afford to live there.

Adagio had been a wonderful mother when he was growing up. She spent all her time doting on him, protecting him and making him feel truly loved.

He also loved his auntie Sonata and aunt Aria. The latter having been not close with him at first. But Concerto knew she loved him.

His mother had never told him about who his father was. He had no desire to find him. His main priority right now was to keep Sunset safe and somewhere that Anon-A-Miss wouldn't be able to post. Another reason was so that students didn't know where she lived so they couldn't attack her after school.

When he had first joined, he had no friends. After a while, he befriended Flash, Trixie, Derpy, Lyra, Bon-Bon, Vinyl and Octavia. He'd also befriended the Rainbooms. That was before Anon-A-Miss came into existence.

Concerto became good friends with Sunset, having a great mother figure and knowledge of magic. He also got on with Rainbow Dash and Applejack.

After Anon-A-Miss happened, they'd turned on Sunset, and in extension, him. Being betrayed by those he called friends had pissed him off.

Sunset was innocent and didn't deserve how the students treated her. All they did was bully her, try to attack her and destroy her locker.

He was the only friend she had left. He hated how it sounded. He wouldn't abandon Sunset. Ever.

Since he'd befriended her, Concerto had started to see her as more than a friend. He had a crush on her. Concerto didn't know how to tell her. He didn't want to ruin their friendship.

Soon, the both of them arrived at his home. Concerto and Sunset walked to the door as the male siren knocked on it.

To his surprise, his aunt Sonata opened the door. She looked to him and then Sunset. The blue-skinned siren grinned widely and embraced her nephew tightly.

"Concerto, hi! How was school?" The bubbly siren asked, wanting to find out how her nephew's day had been.

"Same as usual, aunt Sonata. Anon-A-Miss causing bullshit." Concerto replied, giving his aunt another hug. Sunset looked at him in shock. Wait, aunt Sonata?

"Concerto, you're her nephew?" Sunset asked, shocked by what she had learned. Concerto winced, remembering that he hadn't told her his last name.

"Oh, yeah. My last name is Dazzle, like my mom." Concerto replied, rubbing the back of his head sheepishly. Sunset folded her arms as she glared at him.

"Why didn't you tell me?" Sunset asked, the air becoming tense. Concerto sighed, knowing he had to explain himself to his best friend and crush.

"I was worried you'd judge me for my last name and who my family was. I know I lied to you, Sunset. I'm sorry. I didn't want to lose you as a friend." Concerto replied, looking down at the floor as Sonata tried to reassure her nephew.

"Don't be mad with him, Sunset. I told him not to mention his last name until I felt it was a good time for you to know." A voice behind Sunset said.

A figure walked out from behind the redhead. The person turned out to be none other than Adagio Dazzle, leader of the sirens.

"Adagio Dazzle?" Sunset said, still in shock at the revelation. She couldn't believe Concerto was related to the sirens.

"Hi Mom." Concerto said, greeting his mother as he hugged her. She wore a black and red Japanese yukata. The clothing had the symbols of the language stitched into the fabric.

"She's your mom?" Sunset asked incredulously to Concerto. He grinned and nodded, hugging his mother as Adagio returned the affectionate gesture and kissed his forehead.

"It's been a while, Sunset Shimmer. Concerto told me about Anon-A-Miss and how the school turned on you." Adagio began, her fists clenching at the thought of the students trying to attack her son.

"He told me that he befriended you. At first, I was furious and the loss of magic made me even more mad. After that, the constant hunger wore off. Our suffering ended, all because of you, Sunset. Thank you." Adagio finished, smiling warmly.

"I honestly expected you to want to kill me." Sunset said, blushing as she rubbed the back of her head.

"At first, I did. After the hunger stopped, we felt much better. We can eat normal food now and our voices have returned. You saved us, Sunset. For that, we're all extremely grateful to you." Adagio replied, smiling. She looked over at her son and noticed the way he stared at her.

It seemed her little siren had a crush. She knew it was about time. And with it being a fellow equestrian, she was even more happy for him.

"Oh, um, you're welcome, Adagio. I never knew Concerto was your son." Sunset admitted nervously, her cheeks blushing scarlet.

"The magic made me look younger. It would have been impossible in the eyes of many for me to look like I had a child. His father and I had a one-night stand and I got pregnant with Concerto. Ever since, I raised him with my sisters." Adagio explained, having told nobody else the story. Her sisters already knew and were willing to help raise their nephew.

"I'm sorry I never told you, Sunset. I was nervous and didn't want to risk losing your friendship." Concerto admitting, looking away from Sunset as she placed a hand over where her heart would be.

"I'm not mad, Concerto. I get it." Sunset replied, pulling his body towards her body as she hugged him. Concerto returned the hug as Sonata dawwed at the sight.

Adagio grinned, knowing her son liked Sunset more than just a friend. She wouldn't embarrass him right now. There would be time for that later.

"You're welcome to stay with us, Sunset. For as long as you need." Adagio said, smiling at the unicorn-turned-human.

"Oh, you don't need to do that. I'll be fine." Sunset replied, trying to decline Adagio's offer politely. She couldn't possibly stay with the sirens. She didn't really know them that well.

"Sunset, I insist. you're more than welcome. We have enough room. We owe you for helping us and taking away the unending hunger. Plus, we all want to get to know you. And if you ever end up with my son, we'd be family." Adagio replied, settling the offer.

"End up with your son? What do you mean?" Sunset asked, blushing at the statement from the mother siren. Adagio merely grinned, knowing Sunset was trying to deny it.

"I know that look you gave Concerto. You like him as more than a friend. And he feels the same way. Listen carefully, treat him right and always be there for him. If I find out you hurt him, I'll kill you." Adagio growled, staring into Sunset's eyes as the bacon-haired teen felt fear take over her body.

Sunset sighed and calmed herself. She'd started to see Concerto as more than a friend. She wanted to be with him. His gorgeous eyes and his beautiful voice. She loved everything about him.

Adagio smiled and hugged her briefly before walking off into the kitchen.

The family of sirens and Sunset enjoyed a wonderful dinner made by Adagio. Concerto had always loved his mother's cooking. Although his aunt Sonata made good food every now and then.

Soon, dinner had been cleared up and everyone was ready for bed. Sunset had showered and was getting ready for bed. She was in the living room, watching a movie with Concerto.

The male siren took a deep breath and prepared to admit his feelings to Sunset.

"Hey, Sunset? Can I talk to you for a second? It's important." Concerto said, tapping the redhead's shoulder. Sunset turned to look at him as she listened to his tone.

"Sure, what's up?" Sunset asked, placing her hands on her lap as she stared at the male siren.

"I know we're friends, but I've started to like you for a while. Your gorgeous eyes, your voice and your sweet, loving personality." Concerto explained, causing Sunset to blush at what she was being told.

"You really think I'm sweet and loving? You think I'm gorgeous?" Sunset asked, tears shimmering in her eyes. The last time she dated anyone was Flash. Even then, it was only one-sided.

"Of course you are, Sunset! You're a smoking hot vixen. Who wouldn't love you? I love you. For everything. What's on the inside and on the outside." Concerto said, cupping her cheek tenderly as he gazed into her eyes.

"I feel the same way, Concerto, I didn't know how to tell you. It's just, you're so handsome and you sing beautifully." Sunset replied, looking into his eyes as he blushed at the compliments.

"So, this is it. We're official, then?" Concerto asked, trying to hide the nervousness in his voice. Sunset nodded and smiled warmly.

She cupped his cheek as they leaned in to kiss. Their eyes slid shut as their lips met. The two kissed deeply with passion as Concerto pushed slightly into the kiss, Sunset doing the same as the two made out on the couch.

Eventually, the two pulled away, panting for breath. They looked into each other's eyes and smiled at each other.

"I love you, Concerto." Sunset cooed sweetly to the male siren, her love for him already growing. He was such a good kisser. How was it that none of the girls at CHS had asked him out.

"I love you too, Sunset." Concerto replied, cupping her cheek again as he gave her a chaste kiss. The tender moment was interrupted by Adagio.

"Aww, isn't this cute?" Adagio cooed at the sight, her little siren kissing her former enemy. Concerto had never dated prior to meeting Sunset. He held no interest in wanting a relationship.

Concerto jumped, moving away from Sunset as he turned to face his mother who smugly grinned.

"Mom, what are you doing?!" Concerto cried, blushing madly. Sunset found it cute that he was so nervous. It became obvious that she was his first ever girlfriend. It made their relationship all the more special.

"I was going to bed and heard you two confessing your love to each other. About time." Adagio replied, grinning smugly at her son and Sunset.

Both of them blushed and could only look at the yellow-skinned siren who merely giggled at her son's blushing face. She eventually turned in for the night, as did Concerto and Sunset.

The new couple were in Concerto's room. Sunset laid on the male siren's chest as she drew her finger in circles on him. His heartbeat thumped in her ear, relaxing her body further.

Sunset looked up at her boyfriend as they smiled at one another. The two leaned in for a goodnight kiss, holding it for a few seconds before pulling away.

"I love you Concerto." Sunset cooed sleepily, snuggling into her boyfriend's chest as he ran his hand through her hair. Her body shivered at the sensation. He was so gentle. The feeling of his hand in her hair and his heartbeat lulled her to sleep.

Concerto kissed her forehead and fell asleep after her. The pair drifted off to sleep in each other's embrace.
