> Godzilla: Equestria's Titanic Guardian > by Lord Shadow Eclipse > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- > Chapter 1 > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- In the Outskirts of Manehattan- Godzilla's POV "What happened? Was everything just a dream?" Godzilla thought to himself as he was waking up. The King of the Monsters opened his eyes to see something he didn't expect to see. Of all the creatures he's seen over his millions of years of life, he never expected to see what looked like very colorful horses. He blinked a few times to make sure he wasn't dreaming. Every time he blinked, he kept seeing the colorful tiny horses. They were all staring at him with looks of amazement and fear. They seemed to take a step back upon seeing his eyes open. It made sense that they would fear a creature much, much, much bigger than them. "Given how the humans reacted to me, I should try to make peace with these horse things. Maybe I should try smiling at them to show them that I mean no harm", Godzilla thought. Godzilla pulled his lips as far back over his teeth as he could to look like he was smiling. That's when the horses started to scream and panic. Total chaos erupted from the gathered creatures below him. Their panic was nothing new to Godzilla, as he had seen the humans panic just because he showed up to go fight another Titan. Godzilla mentally sighed. "Looks like it's the same old shtick as before. I don't need this crap again. I'm outta here," Godzilla thought. Before he could get up and leave, one particularly brave, or stupid, horse picked up a loose brick and threw it at Godzilla, with it hitting him straight in the eye. Pain shot from Godzilla's eye and throughout the left side of his face. Godzilla quickly stood up to his full height, causing the horses to flee, or fly, even faster away from him. He stood over one hundred-sixty feet tall, overlooking most of the buildings he saw. He clutched his injured eye with his claws and felt anger rising from within his chest. "That tears it! Now I'm really mad!", he thought in anger. But before he could retaliate, he saw what appeared to be this species' armed troops swarming towards him from the ground and the air. The flying ones were swarming him like a swarm of angry hornets. Godzilla was merely annoyed by their feeble attempts to harm his armored skin. At least the humans had weapons that would give him a headache, at worst. Godzilla opted to give them a classic threat display. He flashed his back spikes and eyes bright neon blue to show the attacking ponies that if they didn't back off, he'd start raising hell. Amazingly, the threat display only seemed to agitate the ponies even more. They fired colorful energy beams, spears, and even small bombs at him. "That's it! Looks like a roar is necessary", he thought. Godzilla sucked in as much air as possible to fill his massive lungs. The pony soldiers started to back away from the alpha of the Titans and finally unleash his classic ear-splitting roar. "AAAAAEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEHHHHAAAAEEH!!" That roar finally got the ponies to retreat. That's good. Godzilla would rather not have to destroy this city and its inhabitants for a brick in his eye. Now that the ponies were running away, he could see over the buildings to see something that made Godzilla want to smile again. It was a large river that was big enough for him to completely submerge himself if he got down on his stomach. Only problem was, there were buildings in the way. Godzilla made his way towards the river, destroying the sides and fronts of buildings and crushing carts and street vendors as he walked. He paid no attention to the screaming and fleeing ponies at all. All he wanted to do was get to the river and get away from these pony creatures. He waded into the river and made his way up the river to get further away from these creatures. "The apparent dominant species of this world are very weird, but they've proven themselves to be quite hostile. I hope things don't get any worse," he thought in exasperated hope. Klugetown The various peoples of Klugetown were experiencing an average day milling about their daily work. Everything seemed normal until a gigantic dark shadow appeared in the sky above them. Capper was watching the shadow from his high-top apartment in the town's interior. He got a pair of binoculars to get a look at what exactly was blocking out the sun. "What the--?" he asked in amazement until the shape landed just outside of town. The thing responsible for blocking out the sun was a gigantic creature. It looked like a dragon, but not like any dragon anyone had ever seen before. It was quite beautiful for a dragon, with glistening golden scales. It had huge leathery wings and two tails. But the most striking feature about this creature was the fact that it had three heads! The heads all looked at the town with curiosity. Something about the creature, apart from its size, made Capper start to feel afraid. A huge well of fear started to rise from his chest. "I think I should visit my friend Rarity in Ponyville," he said with false positivity. He made his way down the stairs and out of the building as fast as he could. He thanked his lucky stars that he lived so close to the airship docks. He went to one of the smallest one-man airships, untied it from the dock, and started up the engine. It revved to life and Capper steered it away from the town. He just had to get out of Klugetown and away from that creature. The creature continued to gaze at the town and the heads looked at each other. "Well, looks like we have a new planet to destroy, boys!" the middle head said. "Can I destroy the biggest buildings, Middle? Can I?" the left head begged. "No fair, Left! You destroyed the biggest buildings on the last planet we destroyed!" the right head retorted. "Enough! We can switch off with every town we find," Middle said. "Okay," Left and Right said in unison. This creature was the one and only King Ghidorah, the King of Destruction. He thrived on the death and destruction of life on every planet he's encountered. He was mostly unopposed in his position as an alpha monster, with the only exception being his arch-nemesis. Godzilla. Godzilla had proven himself to be the only Titan capable of challenging him and even defeating him. Despite all his power, Ghidorah would be put on the ropes by Earth's guardian. At least now, he wouldn't have to worry about facing that radioactive reject. "Time to destroy!!" Middle cried out. The three heads started charging up their Gravity Beams, mesmerizing some of the folks within Klugetown. Then, he unleashed his deadly beams. A huge chunk of Klugetown was destroyed in a matter of seconds. The people caught in the blast were either disintegrated or killed by flying debris. Ghidorah made his way through the town, crawling on top of the buildings, or whatever was left of them. Within a span of ten minutes, Klugetown was nothing but a smoldering crater. Ghidorah smiled at his handy-work. "Nothing like destroying a town full of innocent lifeforms to really get your blood pumping," Right said. "One down, countless more to go!" Left cried. "Yes, yes. I'm glad to see everyone so motivated. All destruction. No fuss, no muss, and best of all, no Godzilla," Middle said. Ghidorah spread his gigantic wings and took off into the air, climbing higher and higher until he was obscured by the clouds forming. Capper, having watched the whole destruction of his hometown, struggled to calm himself down. He had never seen anything like it. That golden dragon thing just destroyed all of Klugetown! Just for fun! "I... definitely need... to get to Ponyville now! I... have to warn them!" Capper panted. > Chapter 2 > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- Castle of Friendship Twilight and Spike were reorganizing the books in the castle library. Again. Spike was definitely not enjoying the task as the library was even bigger than the one Lord Tirek destroyed. The amount of books would take a Celestia-length lifespan to read through. The mail-pony Derpy flew through the open window and greeted Twilight. "Hello, Your Highness. I come bearing mail for you," she said in her usual relaxed voice. Twilight chuckled. "Thank you, Derpy. I trust you brought good mail?" "You bet I did! I have a letter for you from the Royal Army garrison in Manehattan," Derpy said. "What?! The Royal Army garrison?" Twilight asked. "Yeah. Here," Derpy said, rummaging though her mail bag and pulling out a letter with the military seal. Twilight took it and opened it. * "Dear Princess Twilight, My soldiers recently engaged a massive unidentified terrestrial organism with a draconic appearance that suddenly appeared in Manehattan. The creature caused some damage to the buildings, but there were no injuries or deaths. The beast fled to the river and swam away, heading south. Given the creature's immense size, I advise that everyone in the Equestrian military and all Pegasi be kept on high alert. Perhaps you and your friends can come up with a solution to this problem. Sincerely, General Hardhoof" * Twilight's face grew more and more grave with each word she read. But she was also relieved to hear that none of the citizens were lost. But the existence of this creature was intriguing. A creature of immense size and looked like a wingless dragon? That was an interesting idea. She turned to Spike. "Spike, gather the other Elements and tell them to meet here!" Twilight ordered. "If this creature posed a threat to the safety of Equestria, we'd better be prepared." "Roger that!" Spike said. He ran out the door to get the others. ... Later Everyone of Twilight's friends gathered at the throne room awaiting Twilight. They were all curious about what Twilight wanted to meet with them about. "Do you think there's another power-hungry lunatic on the loose?" Applejack asked. "Maybe. I think that would be an awesome way to pass the time," Rainbow said. "Maybe Twilight is throwing a surprise party for us!" Pinkie said. "Perhaps Twilight simply wants to spend some time with us. Our individual schedules haven't left much room for hanging out with each other," Rarity said. "I only hope everything's okay," Fluttershy said. Twilight entered the room and sat down in her throne. She had a hard look on her face that told the rest of the gathered friends that this would not be a friendly visit. "I'm glad you all got here so quickly," Twilight said. "We have something very important to discuss." "Well, what is it?" Applejack asked. "Just this morning, I received a disturbing letter from the Royal Army garrison in Manehattan detailing an encounter with a gigantic creature of unknown origin," Twilight said. The gathered friends, especially Fluttershy, all leaned forward with great interest. This was quite a lot of information to take in. "Are they sure it wasn't a dragon?" Rarity asked. "They can get pretty big." "According to the general that was there, this creature wasn't a dragon," Twilight replied. "Besides, he said that the creature was too big to be a dragon." "Is it a creature that escaped Tartarus?" Rainbow asked. "I don't think so. The letter said that the creature appeared out of nowhere," Twilight said. "It seems some unknown magic was used to transport the creature here." "Where is the creature now?" Fluttershy asked. "Well, the general said that the creature entered the river and started heading south. And since this river flows through this area, there's a change the creature may appear here," Twilight said. "And you think we can do something about this creature?" Fluttershy asked. "We have to. But since the creature seemed more eager to get away from the forces attacking it, I don't think this beast is malicious in nature," Twilight said. "So if we see it, we simply monitor it and its behavior. But most importantly, we shouldn't do anything to provoke the creature." "And what if it does become aggressive?" Rainbow asked. "A valid question, Dashy. If the creature becomes aggressive, I can simply put it to sleep and secure it like I did with the Ursa Minor," Twilight said. "It may be our best option. I'd like to avoid conflict with the creature if I can, so I think me and Fluttershy will be the first ones to deal with the creature." "I'll do my best, Twilight!" Fluttershy said with surprising boldness. "Happy to see Fluttershy so motivated," Twilight said. "We all on board?" "You bet we are, Twilight!" Rainbow shouted. "You know we'll help," Applejack said. "If that varmint tries anything fishy, I'll make shoes out of him!" "I may not be experienced using my magic for fighting, but I'll try to help in any way I can," Rarity said. "My party cannon is at your disposal, Twilight!" Pinkie said. "Great! I'll summon a force from the Royal Army and we'll set up watch at the river. After that, we'll have to wait," Twilight said. "If and when the creature shows up, me and Fluttershy will handle it from there." "Sounds like a plan to me!" Spike said with a thumb's up. "When does to Royal Army arrive?" "General Hardhoof is coming with five hundred of the military's finest tonight. We should get going to meet them there," Twilight said. "Right now, I have to inform the public about this and begin running evacuation drills. Just in case." The Elements split up to get ready for the incoming creature. They hoped that the future encounter with the creature would be peaceful. ***** Later that Night - The Riverfront The entire river was buzzing with activity by the time Luna's moon rose in the sky. The Elements and literally hundreds of armed soldiers were running around trying to prepare for a potentially dangerous encounter with the giant creature. The town's been instructed on what to do if they need to evacuate, an outcome they hoped would never happen. Starlight gave an impressed whistle at how quickly the Royal Army was able to set up along the river. Trenches, observation posts, and a command center where she and the rest of the Elements were gathered to plan their next move. After a little while, General Hardhoof joined them. General Hardhoof took over as high commander of the Royal Army after Shining Armor got married, and she's proven herself to be more than capable. An Earth Pony mare with dull green fur and a black mane and tail, she gave off an impression of strength under her armor. She was acting as second-in-command to Twilight, as she was one of the princesses. General Hardhoof made it clear that she trusted Twilight's thinking and judgement. "What have you got for us, General?" Twilight asked. "Pegasus scouts are steadily following the creature. The latest reports stated that the creature will be in this spot in precisely thirty minutes," General Hardhoof said. "For now, all we have to do is wait." A soldier came bursting into the command center. She saluted everyone in the tent before speaking. "Ma'am, an airship from Klugetown just landed outside of the established perimeter. The sole pilot says he need to speak to the Princess immediately," the soldier said. "Any idea who the pilot is?" Twilight asked. "He says he's met you and your friends before. His name's Capper," the soldier replied. Each of the Elements looked to each other in surprise. Capper had flown by himself all the way to Ponyville from Klugetown, so something must be wrong. "Where is Mister Capper now?" General Hardhoof asked. "He was on the verge of starvation and is in a bad state of mind, so we've got him in one of the observation posts," the soldier replied. "We'll go check on him," Applejack said. The mares left the tent and walked past lines of walking soldiers to get to one of the nearby observation posts. Inside, there indeed was their old friend Capper, wrapped up in a blanket and looking very worse for wear. Capper was shaking like a leaf, his eyes wide and didn't seem to be looking at anyone around him. The soldier was right, he was in a terrible state of mind. The girls were shocked to see their friend like this. "What happened to him?" Starlight whispered to one of the on-site doctors. "Physically, he's been without food and water for a long time, but we've been feeding him," the doctor replied. "But mentally, he's obviously seen something terrible. I've seen this in some of the soldiers I treat, and it's never easy to treat. I may have make a call to a psychiatrist." "Can we talk to him?" Rarity asked. "We're friends, so he may respond well to a familiar face." "You can try, and I hope you're able to get through to him," the doctor said. Rarity walked over to face Capper, who was shakily holding a glass of water. She knelt her head down to his level and tried to look him in the eyes. "Capper? It's me, your friend Rarity. I'm happy to see that you're okay," Rarity said in a motherly tone. Capper seemed to notice Rarity and the other Elements for the first time. His eyes finally focused on his surroundings. He gave Rarity a glad smile. "Rarity? Oh, am I happy to see you. I've had a... rough few days," Capper said. Starlight spoke up next. "Capper, I know you've been through a rough time, but if you can, can you tell us what's wrong?" she asked. The dapper cat put on a frightened face, but he spoke calmly if a little shakily. His paws trembled as he told them. "Klugetown is gone. It's been completely destroyed," Capper said. "Destroyed? By whom?" Fluttershy asked. "It... was a monster. The thing looked like a humungous dragon... but it also wasn't a dragon," Capper replied. "It was like nothing I've ever seen." The girls were shocked. A giant dragon-like creature destroyed Klugetown? That was more than weird. The creature the group was tracking was first sighted in Manehattan, nowhere near Klugetown. That had to mean that there was another creature out there, one that was more destructive than they one they were currently tracking. "Does that mean there's another giant creature out there?" Rainbow asked. "Yeah, it would appear so," Twilight said. "What does this mean?" "A monster destroyed Klugetown and another one showed up in Manhattan? That sounds to me like a rise of giant monsters," Starlight said. "If these two are here, who knows how many more may be out there." One of the soldiers from outside rushed into the tent and seemed to be out of breath. "The monster in the river's almost here! It'll be on us in five minutes!" the soldier said. "Then we need to get into position!" Twilight said. "Capper, stay here! You'll be safe here!" Capper dutifully remained where he was with the doctor while everyone else ran out to get into their assigned positions to wait for the monster. Outside, soldiers were running or flying to get ready for the monster's arrival, readying weapons just in case. There were Pegasus soldiers in the trees and others hidden away in the surrounding brush or in trenches. Twilight and her friends were all in one of the trenches waiting for the creature's arrival. The soldier said that the creature would arrive in five minutes, but the wait felt like an eternity and a half. Everyone was on edge waiting, with some soldiers shaking in fear. All eyes were glued on the river in anticipation. In the distance, there was a large shape in the water, making its way towards the stationed soldiers fast. General Hardhoof called out to her soldiers. "Turn on the lights to get its attention!" she called. The soldiers followed that command and bright lights came on, all pointed towards the shape. Now that the lights were on, the shape burst through the water for all to see. And they could hardly believe what they were looking at. Standing at a nearly 160 feet tall was a creature none of them had ever seen. It was similar in appearance to a dragon, but it was no dragon. It had no wings, but a back full of rocky dorsal spikes. It stood on thick elephantine legs and had arms that were short, but strong. A long tail swished behind him, knocking over some of the trees. The creature gazed at the ponies below him with a pair of bright orange eyes. This creature was sight to behold. Each of the Ponies looked at him with looks of fear and amazement, especially Twilight, Starlight, and Fluttershy. Rainbow nudged Applejack in the ribs. "Still wanna try making shoes out of him?" Rainbow asked. "Shhhh! I never said that!" Applejack retorted. "What about you? You said you wanted to take him on!" Rainbow visibly shook at that. "I could... but my wings are sore from practice, so I can't fight." "Mm-hm. Sure," Applejack said. "Well, looks like it's up to me and you, Fluttershy," Twilight said. Surprisingly, Fluttershy took off with eagerness. Fluttershy, of all Ponies, was eager to interact with a creature that looked so similar to a dragon. Twilight actually had to struggle to catch up to her. Once she did, she took mental notes of the creature before them. He seemed to be regarding them with interest and wasn't attacking, a good sign. "How do you think we should handle this, Fluttershy?" Twilight asked. "Well, animals get nervous if you try to go above their heads, so we need to hover at his level and just below him," Fluttershy replied. "If he gets nervous, he may get try to either make us submit or he'll get scared and attack." "Good call. I'll leave the calming to you and I'll try to talk to him," Twilight said. Before either of them knew it, they were right at the creature's eye level. Twilight found herself mesmerized by the huge flame-orange eyes before her. She stared deeply into those eyes for a long time, and she had the feeling that the creature was staring into her own eyes, too. A low, purring growl came forth from the creature's maw as he looked at the Ponies. Fluttershy cleared her throat. "Hello, friend. My name is Fluttershy. What's your name?" Fluttershy asked in greeting. The creature regarded Fluttershy for a bit before giving a few rumbles and growls as a response. "He said his name is... Godzilla," Fluttershy replied before turning back to Godzilla. "Well, welcome to Ponyville, Godzilla! May I ask where you hail from?" Twilight asked in greeting. Godzilla focused his eyes on Twilight and rumbled his reply, his throat vibrating from the sound. Fluttershy gave her translation. "He said he's from a world called 'Earth'," Fluttershy replied. "He also asked what this world is called." Twilight looked Godzilla with a surprised look on her face. Godzilla was from Earth, the home of the humans? If that was true, then why hadn't Twilight heard about him during her visits there? Surely a creature like him would be a common topic of conversation among the humans. Unless... he was from a different version of Earth. Now that Twilight thought about it, she had to ask Twilight about the monster that destroyed Klugetown. "Lord Godzilla, do you know of any other beings like you from your world?" Twilight asked. "There was a monster that destroyed a city just to the south of here." Godzilla's eyes widened in curiosity and growled louder than before. Fluttershy translated. "He's asking if it was a dragon-like monster," Fluttershy said. "Yeah, it was," Twilight said. "Do you know this creature?" Godzilla's eyes widened even more and took a few steps back. He craned his head upwards and did something both mares weren't expecting: a loud roar. "AAAAEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEAAHH!" The roar was so loud that both Twilight and Fluttershy covered their ears as they flew down to the ground. Godzilla's roar was so loud that everyone was covering their ears. They weren't sure what prompted this, but the roar had them spooked. When Godzilla stopped roaring, Fluttershy looked up and Godzilla, who seemed very angry. "I take it Godzilla knows this monster?" Twilight asked. "He doesn't seem happy about it." "I'll fly up and ask him," Fluttershy said. Twilight and the others watched from below as Fluttershy spoke to Godzilla. He seemed agitated when Twilight mentioned the monster that destroyed Klugetown. "What did you say to him that made him so mad?" Starlight asked. "I asked if he knew the monster that destroyed Klugetown, and he got mad. I guess that he knows about this monster," Twilight replied. Fluttershy flew back down to the others and relayed everything that Godzilla told her. And from the look on her face, it wasn't going to be good things. "Godzilla told me about the destroyer of Klugetown. He said its name is King Ghidora," Fluttershy said. "He also told me that where he's from, King Ghidora is called 'the King of Destruction'." "I take it there's a reason he got that name?" Applejack asked. "There is. Godzilla says that Ghidora is a beast of pure evil. A monster who destroys entire worlds just for fun," Fluttershy said. "And if he's here, all of Equestria's in danger!" Rarity said. "How do we stop him?" "Godzilla told me that he's fought Ghidora many times before and had managed to drive him away," Fluttershy said. "He and Ghidora have had a long rivalry." "If they're enemies, then Godzilla fight this Ghidora?" Pinkie asked. "He said that he's going to go look for him and fight him," Fluttershy said. "If there's going to be a fight between these two beings, will he allow us to help him?" Rarity asked. "I asked him that, and he said that it would be best if we stayed out of it," Fluttershy said. "Is that a good idea that we're supposed to do nothing while he fights?" Twilight asked. "Sounds to me like he'd have a higher chance of success if we join him." "He said that we'd just give Ghidora more enemies to destroy. I think we should just let Godzilla and Ghidora fight," Fluttershy said. "He says that he's beaten Ghidora before, so I don't think we really need to do anything." "Still, what do we do now?" Starlight asked. "What do we do now that we've got Godzilla here?" Twilight thought about it for a bit. Godzilla didn't seem to be extremely aggressive and he said he was going to fight a very clear threat to the world, so she could do something for him. She and Fluttershy flew back up to Godzilla's eye level and she spoke. "Godzilla, as one of the sovereign rulers of this land, I would like to extend my friendship to you. You can live here in peace and friendship and protect the realm from this Ghidora," Twilight said. "I know that everyone would love to be friends with you." The gigantic King of the Monsters looked at Twilight with a look of shock. He obviously hadn't been offered friendship by anyone other than his fellow Kaiju. For the first time ever, tears of joy came to Godzilla's eyes as he heard those words. He gave a few joyful sounding growls in return. "He says he'd love to be friends and that he'll stop Ghidora," Fluttershy said with a happy smile. Now that the matter was settled, both mares and Godzilla went from the river to the lake, where Godzilla would make his new home. Once there, he fully submerged himself in the lake, out of sight of the ponies. Twilight smiled to herself, pleased with everything. "Looks like Equestria's now got a titanic guardian," Twilight said under her breath. > Chapter 3 > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- Ponyville - The Next Day (With the Main Six) Twilight and her friends were all waiting for the Princesses to arrive to the scene that lay before them. After making a peaceful pact with Godzilla, the massive creature walked over to a large field and laid down there to rest, with the ponies currently looking at his sleeping form. Both Fluttershy and Twilight had been observing him all night, while the others simply camped out with the Royal Army. Twilight and Fluttershy were both flying around Godzilla, observing every feature of him. "Whoa! These dorsal spikes and long tail must provide some form of defense from the back, while his arms look like they were built for grappling," Twilight noted. "I wonder what he eats?" "A creature his size would need to eat a lot to maintain bodily function," Fluttershy said. "And since he's from another world, finding a good food source for him would be nearly impossible." "Still, I'd like to try to see what we could feed him on top of where he came from," Twilight said. "And I noticed that he seems to to experience REM sleep like us." "I'd like to talk to him more about this King Ghidora guy he mentioned last night. He sounded like he and this Ghidora have a bad history together," Twilight said. "I suppose we can ask him once he wakes up," Fluttershy said. "That would be good," Twilight said before hearing her stomach growling. "Before any of that, though, I'd like to grab some food." "I should eat as well," Fluttershy said. As they flew back down to the ground and made their way back to Ponyville, Twilight saw that the Royal Carriage was there in front of Twilight's castle, meaning that the Princesses had arrived. Twilight turned to Fluttershy. "The Princesses are here. I guess they found out about Godzilla," Twilight said. "And I have a feeling that this and Ghidora destroying Klugetown may have brought them here." "Do you think that the others are here?" Fluttershy asked. "Y'all got a letter, too?" Applejack asked from behind them. "No, we just arrived and saw them here. You all got letters?" Twilight replied. The rest of the Elements pulled out letters with the royal seal on them, providing their answer. Twilight and Fluttershy turned with the rest of their friends and entered the crystalline castle. Town Castle of Friendship was a beehive of activity. Ponies were preparing one of the larger rooms for a meeting of important officers and government officials, with chairs and tables being arranged in a way to include everyone involved. There were also separate tables to hold snacks and drinks for the attendees. Mayor Mare showed and up and immediately trotted over to the heroines once she saw them. "Good afternoon, Princess Twilight! I was just about to send someone to retrieve you," Mayor Mare said. "What's going on here, Mayor?" Twilight asked. "The Royal Sisters are here to discuss the current situation with the giant creatures with the rest of the world leaders," she replied. The Elements were surprised to see that the world leaders were taking part in this meeting, but a destructive monster like Ghidora would warrant discussion like this. Twilight looked back to Mayor Mare. "When does the meeting take place?" Twilight asked. "In thirty minutes," Mayor Mare replied. "Good. That should be more than enough time for lunch," Twilight said. -30 Minutes Later- Twilight and her friends had returned just in time for the meeting. The Princesses sat at the head of the table and waved in the Elements with smiles. The rest of the world leaders were there and having small talk with each other and the other officials and commanders gathered. The Elements sat closer to the front of the table with Celestia and Luna before Celestia hammered a gavel on the table. "Alright everyone! Now that we are all gathered here, the meeting can now begin!" Celestia called. All in the room fell silent now that the meeting had begun. Celestia put on a serious expression as she spoke her next words. "As I'm sure you've all read about in the dossier, a gigantic dragon-like creature completely destroyed Klugetown a few days ago with a powerful breath attack," Celestia said. "Capper, the only survivor, gave us as much information as he could before being transferred to Canterlot for psychiatric treatment." Dragon Lord Ember raised her claw in the air to ask a question. "Are we certain that this is a creature that looks like a dragon and is not a true dragon?" "Mister Capper described the creature as being gigantic with three heads and golden scales, Lord Ember," Luna replied. "I have never heard of a dragon like that." "At least I can rest easy knowing that it's not one of my people," Ember said. "Then what is it if it's not a dragon? Some mutated form of Hydra?" Thorax asked. At that, a Unicorn scientist dressed in a classic lab coat stood up to answer. The scientist gave a small bow and introduced herself to the attendees. "I can answer that, King Thorax. I am Dr. Telomere, Head of the Royal Science Ministry," Telomere replied. "From what we've been able to observe from the military reports, this is a lifeform not from our world." "What do mean, 'not from our world'?" Gruff asked harshly. "I'm saying that a creature like this suddenly showing up along with the other one outside Ponyville doesn't make any sense. And we weren't able to detect any trace of magic when we encountered the creature as it flew away," Telomere replied. "You actually managed to get close to this monstrosity?" Prince Rutherford asked. "How?" "I was a part of the extermination attempt on the creature and managed to get a good observation of the monster," Telomere replied. "Which reminds me of our next point," Luna said before turning to Spitfire and an Earth Pony officer. "Miss Spitfire and Admiral Ironclad, can you give your reports on your attempt to eliminate this creature?" Spitfire and Admiral Ironclad stood up and gave their reports. Spitfire spoke first. "Me and the other Wonderbolts were called in to assist the southern base in eliminating a three-headed monster that was destroying towns and cities," Spitfire replied. "We were told to fly around the creature and distract it until the Seventh Air Fleet made its way to the area to destroy it with an artillery barrage. Once they arrived, we joined them on the ships." "And the details of this attack?" Ember asked. Admiral Ironclad was the one to respond. He was a stallion of shorter stature, but he had a bearing and gaze that demanded great respect. "We fired upon the monster for a good six hours until we ran out of ammunition, but nothing seemed to even scratch the monster's hide," Ironclad replied in a deep voice. "Once we had run out of ammunition, the thing... smiled at us." "It smiled?" Gruff asked. "Indeed. Then it opened its three mouths and fired a breath attack of some kind. It looked like golden lightning of some kind," Ironclad replied. "The attack destroyed 20 flying warships in mere seconds. I was thoughtful enough to order a retreat before the rest were destroyed." The room fell eerily silent knowing that the lives of good pony soldiers were lost. From what Spitfire told Rainbow before the meeting, both Soarin and Fleetfoot were sadly killed while Thunderlane had lost one of his wings. Celestia broke the silence by asking the admiral another question. "What is the Royal Navy doing now?" she asked. "We have scout ships following the monster from a fair distance and having them report back anything important," Ironclad replied. "The rest of the military is keeping an eye on the second gigantic creature." That brought the topic of Godzilla on the table, as evidenced by Thorax's question. "Now that you mention it, what about the second creature that's currently being watched?" he asked. "What do we know about this particular creature?" General Hardhoof stood up reply. "Me and the Elements have first encountered the creature last night and both Fluttershy and Princess Twilight have managed to establish actual communication with the creature." That got the world leaders and officials murmuring to each other with surprise. Communication with a creature like this was something they never expected. Celestia banged her gavel again. "Let us hear what Princess Twilight and Miss Fluttershy have been able to glean from their communication," Luna said. Both Twilight and Fluttershy stood up. Twilight spoke first. "Well, this creature is willing to communicate with us and doesn't seem to be violent unless provoked. I mean, he hasn't made any attempt to destroy anything since he got here." "And the creature gave us both his name and the name of the three-headed monster," Fluttershy said. "The one we spoke to is called 'Godzilla'." "And what about the three-headed one?" Celestia asked. "That one is called 'King Ghidora', and Godzilla said that he and Ghidora have a long rivalry with each other," Fluttershy said. Thorax raised his hoof to ask the question that was on everyone's minds. "If these two creatures have a rivalry, is there a chance we can convince Godzilla to fight him for our world?" "From what I could tell, Godzilla seems to be more than willing to fight Ghidora regardless of whether or not it's for us," Twilight replied. "Are you sure we can trust this Godzilla to not turn on us once this is all over? We can't just trust a creature like that just because he hates a more threatening one!" Gruff asked. "I agree with Gruff! There be no guarantee that this Godzilla has good intentions!" Prince Rutherford said. "We need to do something about this other creature here and now!" "And if we do, how are we going to fight King Ghidora if our greatest asset is dead?" Ember asked. "Ember's right! Like Twilight said, he could've destroyed the town during his arrival, but he didn't! I move that we should join Godzilla in the upcoming battle against King Ghidora," Thorax said. The whole room became heated with debate of what to do with Godzilla. Gruff and Prince Rutherford wanted to try to destroy him before he could destroy their lands while Ember and Thorax wanted to form an alliance with Godzilla to fight against Ghidora. Celestia was about to bang her gavel to reign in the discussion when they heard something outside. "AAAAAAAAAEEEEEEEEEEEEEYAAAAAAAAHH!!" A loud roar and the sound of stomping feet came from just outside the castle. Some soldiers ran into the meeting room and spoke directly to Princess Twilight. "Your Highness! Godzilla is coming right for the town!" he told them. Everyone in the room got up from their seats and ran to the outside of the building to be greeted by the terrifying sight of the humungous Godzilla stomping towards the town. He was so big that his head blocked out the sun, and he gazed down at the gathered ponies and other creatures down below. Twilight and Fluttershy flew up to his snout and he gazed at the with his bright eyes. Twilight spoke to him first. "Godzilla, were just talking about you!" Twilight said with a friendly smile. "To put everyone's fears at ease, could you tell them of your intentions here?" Godzilla looked from Twilight to Fluttershy to the gathered leaders and officials down below. "Well, if it'll make them feel better, I'll just have to be honest and tell them what I plan to do. If I want a peaceful life in this new world, I'll have to stop Ghidora and make sure they see me as their guardian." The Kaiju King gave his growling reply and Fluttershy turned to Twilight. "He says that he simply wants to live a peaceful life in our world, and will stop King Ghidora regardless. He said that he'll act as the world's guardian as long as the others leave him alone." Twilight flew back down the ground and relayed Godzilla's message to the rest of the gathered leaders. They all looked up and saw Godzilla looking down at them with kind yet noble eyes. The leaders all looked to each other and even both Rutherford and Gruff gave looks of resigned acknowledgement. "I suppose we can rely on Godzilla for the upcoming battle," Gruff said. "He may prove to be a good ally for Yaks," Rutherford said. "Not afraid to say that Yak army wouldn't be able to defeat him." Everyone else nodded in agreement. Twilight flew back up to Godzilla and told him that the rest of the world's leaders were ready to work with him to bring Ghidora down. Godzilla growled and Fluttershy translated. "He says that he knows how to track Ghidora down and is ready to fight him," Fluttershy said. "This is great news! I'll tell the others!" Twilight said. Now that everyone knew that Godzilla could find Ghidora, the rest of the leaders put on serious expressions. Even both of the Princesses looked ready for a fight. "We'll support from the side. If he needs help, we'll step in and provide him support," Celestia said. "Let's get ready for a fight!" Everyone let out an outstanding battle cry. Even Godzilla got hyped up and gave an excited roar. After that, Godzilla felt his heart racing in excitement and anger. "I hope you're ready for another fight, Ghidora! Because I'm coming for you!" Godzilla thought. ***** With King Ghidora The three-headed King of Destruction was finishing up destroying another town when he heard something he recognized all too well. A very familiar roar. Middle smiled in anticipation. "Well, well, well. Looks like my old nemesis is here in this world after all," Middle said. "And here I thought destroying this world would turn out to be boring." "Gojira is here?" Left asked. "If he's here, wouldn't that mean that he'll try to protect this world from destruction?" "If he tries to fight us again, then we'll have to use our new techniques on him," Right replied. "If he tries to stop us again, then we'll be ready for him." Middle turned to the other heads and smiled. "Still, if the two of us are to battle again, then let's make sure we make an entrance." King Ghidora flew up into the air until he hit the cloud layer. Using his bioelectrical powers and powerful wings, Ghidora was able to create a humungous storm of rain and golden lightning. Next, he flew off in the direction of the roar he heard. If he could finally kill Gojira, then there would be nothing left to stop him. The whole world would soon fear the King of Destruction! > Chapter 4: Godzilla vs King Ghidora > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- With Godzilla and the Main Six - The Next Day Godzilla, the Main Six, and a fleet of flying battleships were heading south. Everyone was following Godzilla as he was tracking where King Ghidora was. Twilight and her friends were on the flagship leading the fleet, enamored by the sight of the regal Kaiju King as he slowly walked through the edge of the desert. Fluttershy and Twilight flew up next to Godzilla's head as he walked. "Godzilla, how long have you known this 'King Ghidora'?" Twilight asked. Fluttershy translated his growls. "He says that he first encountered Ghidora a few million years ago." Twilight nearly fell out the sky from shock. "A few MILLION years ago?! How is that even possible?!" "Maybe his species simply live for a long time, a really long time," Fluttershy suggested. "Either way, it's amazing that he's lived for so long." Twilight looked to Godzilla in wonder. It's amazing that he's lived for so long, yet looks like a specimen in his prime. He gave off the aura of an experienced warrior king, something that made Twilight's heart race every time she looked at him. She made a mental note to study more about Godzilla later. Suddenly, the wind picked up drastically and the flying ponies had to go back to the flagship. Making their way to the helm, the pair looked back and saw a huge dark storm of golden lightning approaching. "Where did this storm come from?!" Rainbow yelled over the roaring wind. "Sudden storms like this don't appear naturally!" "I'm not sure, but Godzilla seems to hate it!" Twilight replied. The Elements turned to look at Godzilla, who was snarling in anger at seeing the storm and was making a beeline towards it regardless of the golden lightning. Godzilla roared in anger, which Fluttershy translated. "He says that this is no normal storm! That is King Ghidora!" Fluttershy yelled. Emerging from the storm like a demon from Tartarus was a creature perfectly described in the meeting. Golden scales, giant wings, and three draconic heads greeted the Kaiju King and the flying fleet with malevolence in all six of his eyes. The sight of the monster immediately caught the attention of all in the fleet. "That's him! That's King Ghidora!" Fluttershy squeaked. Godzilla snarled and assumed a threatening posture with his claws flexed and his dorsal plates glowing a bright shade of blue. King Ghidora reared his heads back and flared his wings to threaten back. It was clear to all who were witnessing this that this wasn't merely two monsters about to fight, this was a battle between two Titan kings over the fate of the world. And it was about to get ugly. -(Godzilla's POV)- So... here he was. Once again in the same world as me. Another world for him to destroy, a world that I swore to protect. All I wanted was a peaceful life, and nothing made me angrier than this guy and his single-minded desire for destruction. I had to stop him here and now if I am to protect my new friends. The bastard Titan before me smirked. "I was wondering when you were going to show up, old friend," the middle head said. "Destroying this world would've been really boring without any challenge." "Truthfully, I could've gone my whole life happily without you being here," Godzilla retorted. Ghidora faked a look of shock. "Oh, you don't like me?" he asked sarcastically. "You wound me! How could my archenemy say such things to me?" My old foe looked behind me and saw the fleet of flying ships and the ponies that piloted them. He turned back to me with a look of amusement. "That is so like you to play buddy-buddy with lesser species, Goji," Ghidora said. "These may be your most colorful cast of friends I've ever seen. Still, it'll be nice reducing them to atoms!" That tore it for me! No one threatens my friends! I gave him a glare and a few pulsating glows from my dorsal plates. I was not in the mood for his wordplay! "Are you going to stand there rambling or are we going to fight?!" I roar at him. "You know what? For once, you're actually right," Ghidora said. "Let's get this little sparring match started!" Ghidora and I ran towards each other ready for another clash. I wouldn't let him destroy this world or my friends! My honor wouldn't allow it! -(With the Elements)- The fleet watched as both Titans smashed into each other with devastating force that they could physically feel from a distance. Rainbow Dash was watching the fight unfold with a look of excitement. "This looks like it's going to be an awesome fight!" Rainbow said. "We should place bets!" "We're not here to watch or place bets, Dash. We're supposed to help Godzilla if he needs it," Applejack said. "Fine, but that doesn't mean that we can't enjoy the fight!" Rainbow said. Rarity turned to Twilight out of concern. "Do you think Lord Godzilla will win?" "He's said that he's fought Ghidora before, so I think that he should stand a pretty good chance against him," Twilight said. She hoped that Godzilla would be able to defeat him. Back with the fight, Godzilla and Ghidora were grapping each other in a shove match. Godzilla was able to push Ghidora back a few feet while Ghidora was biting at Godzilla's arms and neck. Godzilla pushed Ghidora off and swept his long tail around and managed to knock Ghidora off his feet. Once the King of Destruction was on his back, Godzilla approached to attack again. But Ghidora was ready for that. Ghidora opened all three of his mouths and blasted Godzilla right in the chest with his Gravity Beams. The three-pronged attack was so powerful that it knocked Godzilla off his feet and sent him flying back a good distance. One of the beams nearly hit the flagship the Elements were on, causing the admiral to give an order. "We have to fall back!" he shouted. "We'll maintain a safe distance away from them until Godzilla needs us!" "Agreed! Let's do this!" Twilight said. Godzilla looked back and seemed happy and relieved that they were leaving, something that Fluttershy noticed. Godzilla turned back to Ghidora with the determined look of a warrior. He got back up and decided to use his most iconic attack. All of his dorsal plates lit up with blue light until his internal energy traveled all the way up to his mouth. Before Ghidora could dodge, he was hit right in the chest with Godzilla's Atomic Breath. A blue beam of atomic energy struck Ghidora in the right pectoral and managed to burn a hole through his right wing. Ghidora screeched in pain as the beam had seared his scales black and burned a whole in his wing. Seeing his opening, Godzilla rushed towards his opponent and unleashed a barrage of blows to each one of Ghidora's heads with his fists. Godzilla both used his claws and clenched fists to beat Ghidora before he could go on the defensive. Ghidora wrapped one of his two tails around Godzilla's neck and threw him off. Ghidora stood back up on shaky legs and each of the heads spit out a few teeth and drops of blood. He glared at Godzilla with hateful eyes. He had no more strength left to fight. "Just you wait, Gojira! There's always next time!" Middle shouted. "I'll be back to destroy you and this world one day!" With a few pained growls, Ghidora spread his wings and launched himself into the sky until he was outside the planet's atmosphere. "And I'll be here to take you down next time," Godzilla promised. Godzilla roared in victory as the fleet flew back towards him. All ponies were cheering after witnessing such a fight. Rainbow flew loops in the air as she began to chant his name. "Godzilla! Godzilla! Godzilla!" she cried. Everyone else joined in the chanting as Godzilla nursed the spot where he was hit by Ghidora's Gravity Beams. Both Twilight and Fluttershy flew up to him and looked him right in the eyes. "Godzilla, you have won the day and saved our world! We are in your debt," Twilight said with a polite bow of her head. "We would like to throw a party in celebration of your victory." Fluttershy translated what Godzilla said. "He said that he would be honored to attend the celebration, but this won't be the last time we'll hear of Ghidora." "What do you mean?" Twilight asked fearfully. "Godzilla said that Ghidora will simply find somewhere in space to heal before he'll come back for another fight," Fluttershy replied. "But he did say that he'll protect us from him no matter what." While the threat of King Ghidora coming back was something in itself to worry about, it was nice knowing they had Godzilla to defend them. The world would be that much safer with Godzilla around. Little did they know that this was only the beginning. ***** Griffonstone - 1 Day after the Ghidora Battle Gruff was sitting in his home with his two adopted granddaughters Gilda and Gabby having some of Gilda's revised scones for a teatime snack when they heard shouts coming from outside. Gruff slammed his talons on the table in frustration. "What the hailstorm is going on out there?!" he yelled irritably. "I'll go check, Grandpa!" Gabby said happily. Gabby went over to the door and opened it. There were Griffons running and flying all around with their heads facing something further up their mountain. When Gabby turned to see what they were looking at, her feathers seemed to go pale as her eyes widened and her legs buckled. Gilda, concerned for her little sister, walked up behind her alongside Gruff. "Hey, what's wrong?" Gilda asked, only to be just as shocked as Gabby. Gruff shoved past them to look outside. "What are you two looking... at?" Gruff asked before he looked up at the mountain. Perched on top of the mountain's summit was a winged creature they've never seen before, nor one they could've ever imagined. This creature was a deep red and black in color, with an eagle-like head with two hornlike crests on the back of its head, glowing orange eyes, and a pair of leathery wings with claws on one point. The creature looked around a bit before its eyes settled on the town of Griffons below. The citizens were terrified to see such a creature, who was moving its head in a way that said that it was curious. After a few shakes of its head, the creature extended its wings and took off into the air with a loud shriek. As the beast flew over the city, a powerful burst of wind swept over the city. Griffons both on the ground and in the air were swept up in the air and were blown back for several hundred feet. Some of the buildings and houses were swept away by the force of the wind and left rubble in the creature's wake. Gruff held onto Gilda's and Gabby's talons for dear life until the wind subsided. Gruff watched as the creature flew away with an irritated look on his face. "Great! Just what we need: more giant monsters!" Gruff grumbled. ***** With Captain Salaeno and her Crew The famous pirate Captain Salaeno was in the midst of leading her crew through a storm. The storm was threatening to completely rip the ship apart as the crew rushed to tie everything down and get below for safety while Salaeno was left to pilot the ship to a safe place. One of her crewmates rushed to the helm to retrieve her. "Captain! We have to get below deck, or we'll be swept off the ship!" he shouted over the sounds of the maelstrom. "I can't! I have to find a place to set the ship down or we'll be killed!" Salaeno said. "You should get below deck where it's safe!" "Not without my captain!" the crewman shouted back. A strong wind washed over the ship and caused the ship to turn sideways. The crewman was knocked over the side of the ship and fell into the darkness of the storm. Salaeno stared in shock and tears. "NOOOOO!" she shouted. As she was crying over her crewman, the skies around her were suddenly bathed in heavenly light. The clouds cleared completely with the rains gone and the winds a calm breeze. Salaeno looked around in shock to this sudden weather change. A large shape emerged from underneath the ship on Salaeno's left side and was now flying above the ship. The pirate captain was in awe at what she saw flying above her ship. She placed the ship in hover mode as she joined her emerging crew on the deck to see what she was looking at. Right in front of the ship was a... giant moth. She had solid bright blue eyes, white fur, feather-like antennae, a sleek body, six legs, and a pair of beautiful wings with orange, yellow, blue, and black markings. She made a lovely squeaking call as she observed the ship and the crew. As Salaeno stared at the beautiful moth creature, a familiar face appeared on top of her head. It was the crewman that was swept overboard! "Captain!" he called down to her. The moth creature moved one of her legs up to the crewman and gently grasped him. She moved the leg downwards to place him on the deck, where he was hugged by Salaeno. "That moth creature... saved you?" she asked. "Yeah. Talk about lucky, huh?" he replied. Above them, the moth chittered in way that said that she was glad that the crew was safe. She then turned and began to fly away from the ship. It looked like the moth was heading for somewhere in particular. "What now, Captain?" one of the crew asked. "I think... we follow the moth," Salaeno replied. "I like that plan!" another crewman said before they returned to their stations. They were going to follow this godlike moth one way or another. ***** Starlight's Old Village Night Glider was enjoying her mountain picnic date with her boyfriend Double Diamond. They had found a nice secluded spot on one of the mountains near the village. "I'm so glad we were able to find a spot like this," Night Glider said with contented sigh. Double Diamond pulled her close for a cuddle. "So am I. I'm happy you were able to find a way here that didn't involve me having to climb over huge rocks. Again," Double Diamond said. "Nothing could ruin this." The universe must've taken that personally, because loud rumblings began to occur from somewhere below them. The lovers scrambled to the edge of the cliff where the chose their spot and saw something that made them think they were losing their minds for a second. It looked like parts of the mountain were moving! A section of the mountain, complete with a small grove of trees and rocks on the back of a huge creature. Night Glider and Double Diamond were shocked to see such a creature below them. Walking just below them was a gigantic quadrupedal creature that was dark gray in coloration. The creature's thick neck held up a draconic head with white eyes that had no pupils and a mouth full of razor-sharp teeth. A set of horns framed the sides of the creature's head that curled inwards. The creature had long forelimbs with sharp claws while its hindlimbs had cloven hooves and a short tail. It bellowed as it walked. "So, it seems that young Gojira has found his way to this world alongside some other allies," Methuselah said to himself. "As the king's advisor and fellow guardian, I need to be by his side." Night Glider and Double Diamond watched in awe as the gigantic beast lumbered forward below them. They waited until the creature left before they made their way down the mountain. They had to report what they saw and make sure the village was safe, and get the military involved with this. > Chapter 5: The King's Council > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- Ponyville - 3 Days After the Battle with Ghidorah Twilight had been in a hurry to get to the clearing where Godzilla had been sleeping for the past few days. It seemed that the fight took more out of Godzilla than Twilight thought. Once the fight was over, Godzilla came to the clearing and had done nothing but sleep for the past few days. She wanted to tell him the reports she had been hearing from messengers about other giant creatures popping up in the world. Twilight got to the clearing just in time to see that she didn't need to try anything to wake him up. Immediately after she got to the clearing, Godzilla's eyes opened wide and his head perked up. He lifted himself off the ground and stood to his full height and looked around as if he was trying to track something. Godzilla then tilted his head back and his throat vibrated with sounds that she couldn't hear. "Godzilla?" she asked quietly. Godzilla obviously didn't hear that, or he was listening for something else in particular. Next thing she knew, Godzilla actually hurried away from the clearing and made a beeline for the Everfree Forest. The ponies of the town wouldn't not notice that the kaiju was hurrying in the direction of the Everfree Forest, and the rest of the Elements joined Twilight in following the Monster King. "Twilight, what's going on with the G-Man?" Rainbow asked. "I don't know, but it may have something to do with the other giant creatures I've been hearing about," Twilight replied. The shock coming from the rest of the Elements was palpable. "What?! There are other creatures like Godzilla showing up here?!" Pinkie asked. "Yeah. According to government intelligence, gigantic creatures of unknown origins have been popping up in random locations all over the world," Twilight replied. "Maybe Godzilla can sense them." "How many of them?" Applejack asked. "And are any of them friendly like Godzilla?" "I'm not sure, but for now, we follow Godzilla and see what he does," Twilight replied. The girls followed Godzilla towards the Everfree Forest, making sure not to follow behind him. Godzilla was obviously determined to get to whatever destination he had in mind. He stopped somewhere just outside the forest near Sweet Apple Acres. The Elements all waited for whatever it was the Godzilla was waiting for. (Godzilla's POV) It was them. It had to be them! My old comrades and friends from my old world had appeared in this world! I could hear them through our bio-sonar network. I immediately replied to their calls with my own Alpha call, inviting them to meet with me at the edge of this town. I heard voices I could clearly recognize. "Mothra! Rodan! Methuselah! It is so good to hear the voices of my old friends!" I called. "And I am happy to hear your voice, as well, Lord Gojira!" Rodan responded. "I've been looking forward to sparring with my old friend ever since I came here." "I'm heading to your location now, Gojira," Mothra said softly. "I've missed you." Mothra was always the kind and caring one of my inner circle. But she was a powerful warrior on her own. She's helped me in several battles in the past and I'll always love her for that. Though, I noticed that she would act somewhat prickly when I ever interacted with any female Titans. Still, it was good to have one of my friends in this world with me. "I'm looking forward to seeing those blue eyes of yours, Lady Mothra," Godzilla said. Mothra made a flustered set of chitters, which made me laugh. It was fun teasing Mothra like this as she was always so easy to read. As I was laughing, another familiar voice spoke to me from afar. "Your banter with Lady Mothra is always a treat for the ears, Lord Gojira," Methuselah said. "Happy to hear the voice of my advisor, dear Methuselah," Godzilla said. "How have you been faring in this bizarre world?" "The inhabitants of this world have been treating me with more respect than the humans did. And I managed to drive Ghidorah off this world," Godzilla said. I could hear surprise in their voices when they spoke to me again. Rodan was the first one to speak out. "King Ghidorah? You fought him again and drove him away?" Rodan asked. "That guy really needs to get a life." "No kidding. That demon's the most sickening creature I've ever had the displeasure of meeting!" Mothra added. "At least he's been driven off the planet. Though we should prepare for if or when that monster returns," Methuselah said. "Knowing him, he'll be back to settle the score." I cracked my knuckles in response. "If he does come back, then we'll be there to destroy him." The others laughed in agreement. If my old nemesis ever returns to this planet, then I'll have allies to help me in the fight against him. Even the ancient Methuselah would be able to hold his own in a fight, as he wasn't just my old advisor but was also a veteran warrior. "I'm almost at your location, Goji. Can't wait to get there," Rodan said. "I'm almost there, too, Gojira. I'd like to see how you've been faring," Mothra said. "It'll take me a while to get there, but I'll get to you eventually, my king," Methuselah said. "I can't move as fast as I used to." I smiled at hearing the voice of my old friend. "Please, take your time, old friend. I'll see you when you get here." (A Few Hours Later - Pony POV) It's been a few hours now and the sun was getting pretty low in the sky. Godzilla was still standing near the forest, with the Elements and a crowd of townsfolk gathered around to see Godzilla and wonder about what he was up to. Twilight was especially curious about what it was Godzilla was waiting for, with a good theory in her mind. "You think Godzilla is waiting for someone?" Rarity asked. "He looks like he's waiting." "I'll go fly up and ask him," Fluttershy said. Fluttershy flew up to Godzilla's head to ask him what he was waiting for. While he didn't look at her, he did growl in reply to her words. She flew back down and relayed the message. "He said that he's waiting for some old friends that have recently arrived in our world," Fluttershy said. "It seems that he's on good terms with these creatures." "I just hope they're as nice as Godzilla," Applejack said. "If Godzilla vouches for them, then that's good enough for me," Twilight said. "The last thing we need is another Ghidorah incident." "And surely the G-Man wouldn't associate with a bunch of world-killers!" Pinkie said with a hop. A high-pitched squeal approached the group from the south, beyond the line of sight of the ponies below. Twilight, Fluttershy, and Rainbow Dash flew upwards and saw something that made their eyes became the size of plates and their jaws drop. "What do you see up there?!" Pinkie called from down below. Rainbow shook herself out of her shock and looked down below. "We see a... giant moth!" The Queen of the Monsters, Mothra, was rapidly approaching Godzilla. Meanwhile, Godzilla was growling in joy at seeing this new creature. She chittered in joy at seeing Godzilla, so she landed on the ground before him. Godzilla knelt down and gently nuzzled Mothra's face while she returned the affectionate gesture. The ponies below "awwed" at seeing the gentle display before them. The flying ponies landed on the ground, with Fluttershy's eyes literally sparkling. "I don't know who this creature is, but she's so beautiful!" Fluttershy said. Rarity joined her with sparkling eyes. "Indeed! Her colors are absolutely divine!" Rarity said. "She looks like she's a noble creature with a regal bearing." "And it looks like those two are pretty... close," Applejack said with a mischievous smirk. "Honestly, I heard the reports that there was a giant moth creature, but I didn't know she'd be this... lovely," Starlight said. "And the sounds she makes... it makes me happy and sleepy," Pinkie said with a yawn. Pinkie's sleepiness was broken by a loud shrill cry in the distance. The crowd turned around to see a large flying creature flying down from the north. The creature landed near to Godzilla and Mothra and actually bowed down to Godzilla in a submissive fashion. Then he looked up with a few cheerful chirps. Each of the creatures were now conversing with each other in what sounded like their own language. Everyone in the crowd looked to Fluttershy for translation. "From what I can tell, the moth creature is referred to as 'Mothra' and the birdlike one is called 'Rodan'," Fluttershy translated. "It seems that they know each other as if they were old friends." It was indeed nice of them to hear that Godzilla had friends back in his old world. And they all seemed to be getting along pretty well. After a while, Rodan and Mothra looked down at the crowd below. Twilight decided to once again play the role of the diplomat and offer a hoof of friendship to them. Since Rodan was closer, she and Fluttershy flew up to him. As they approached Rodan, it became clear that this creature's body temperature was insane. The air around him was so hot that the tips of their feathers started to singe. They would've caught fire if the girls hadn't landed a good distance from him. Rodan chirped in a pattern that sounded like laughter. He then trebled another response to Fluttershy. "Rodan says that it would be best to keep our distance due to his high body temperature, and that he understands the danger of getting too close to him," Fluttershy said. "That sounds good. I was afraid I was going to catch fire," Twilight said. Now that Fluttershy and Rodan brought it up, Twilight noticed that the area around Rodan was turning black from the heat and drying out. The grass beneath his feet was even turning black. Twilight looked back up and spoke to Rodan. "We would like to offer you and Mothra our friendship as well as a warm welcome to our world," Twilight said. "Would you two like to join us in friendship?" Mothra and Rodan looked to each other and then to Godzilla, who gave a nod of approval. They looked back to Twilight with their own approving nods. No one needed a translation for what they said. "Great! Now then, maybe we can throw another party to welcome our new friends!" Pinkie Pie shouted. The crowd erupted into cheers at seeing that Godzilla and his friends were here. Surely, another party was in the works. ***** Somnambula's Town It was yet another peaceful day in Somnambula's hometown. She was leading another group of townsfolk in another session of meditation when the alarm bells of the town's outer wall started to sound off. Just as her group was starting to panic, she flew over them. "Do not panic! Return to your homes, immediately!" she called to them. "Me and the town guard will handle this! Stay in your houses and do not come out until we give the word!" She flew over the crowd until she dropped down to some of the gathering guards. One of their number was a Pegasus that looked like he had just seen a ghost. Somnambula approached them quickly. "What happened?" she asked. "Lady Somnambula! There's a huge monster out near the Sphinx's Pyramid!" he replied. "Has the Sphinx returned?" Somnambula asked. "No, not the Sphinx! Something different, something... bigger!" the scared soldier replied. Somnambula looked to the other guards. "Let us go and survey the area to search for this monster! We have to drive it away from the town!" And so they were off, flying towards the Sphinx's Pyramid to look for the monster. The town sat not too far from the pyramid, so it wouldn't take long to see just what had scared the poor soldier near to death. Somnambula stared below her in shock. The beast she was looking at only bore a vague resemblance to the Sphinx. Below the gathered soldiers and Somnambula was a humungous creature that had a lion-like physique, but also wasn't a lion at all. Since the creature had no mane, Somnambula guessed that this creature was like a lioness. The head of the creature was shaped like a lion's with sharp fangs protruding from the upper jaw. Her body was coated in blue and golden scales like a pangolin, with gold making up most of the body and blue coloring the head and underbelly. A row of spines lined the creature's back and tail and a pair of bat-like wings lie folded against her back. And the beast was absolutely gigantic. The beast looked up at the flying Pegasus soldiers with curious golden eyes. "Lady Somnambula, should we attack?" he asked. Somnambula knew that it would be a bad idea to try to attack a creature of this size and obvious power. She knew that it would be absolute suicide. "No. We'll fall back and simply keep and eye on the creature for now. We can't risk the safety of the town by attacking a creature we've never seen before," Somnambula said. "Let us go!" They flew back to the town, with Somnambula casting one last look at the lion monster down below. The beast continued to stare after them as they flew away. (Sekhmet's POV) What were those flying colorful things staring at me? They looked pretty, but they seemed scared of me. One of them reminded me of the ancient Egyptian humans who used to worship me in the past. Maybe they're nicer than the modern humans I've met. I don't know where exactly I am, but this place reminds me of my old home. It even has a pyramid and everything. This world might be a good one to call home. Besides, if the flying things come back for violence, I'll make them regret it. "GGGRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR" That... that was Gojira's Alpha call. My old friend and king is here in this world? Awesome! It's been so long since we've seen each other and I would like to visit him. Though, before I do that, I'd like to take a nap first. Good thing the pyramid was there. I sat in the shadow of the pyramid and settled down for a nap. I made a mental note to visit Lord Gojira once I woke up. ***** The Hippogriff Kingdom/Seaquestria Queen Novo and her daughter Princess Skystar looking out of the window of their land palace enjoying the lovely sunny day with some boats of fishermen looking like little dots on the water. "This is a lovely day, isn't it, Sky?" Novo asked. "Yeah it is! Nothing can ruin this day!" Skystar replied. Karma was a cruel mistress since the waters down below started to get choppy way faster than they normally would. The sight of this immediately made the two Hippogriff rulers afraid for the lives of their citizens. Queen Novo turned to her daughter. "Sky, go below and see if you can help get the fishermen to safety! I'll go and see about evacuating the shoreline!" Novo ordered. "Got it!" Skystar said as the two monarchs flew off. The two of them made it to their destinations in no time once flying at top speed. Skystar was trying her best to convince some of the stubborn fishermen to abandon their boats. Just as she was helping the last of them leave, she turned around to see something big rise from the waters in front of her. Rising from the waters below was a gigantic serpentine creature with light-blue and vibrant purple serrated scales covering the entirety of the creature's body. There were long wing-like fins protruding from near the creature's draconic head, which housed bright yellow eyes and four barbels extending from it. The creature extended its fins and gave a loud hissing call. "XHHHHHSSSSS!" Skystar screamed in terror at seeing the huge monster, turning tail and flying back to shore. Now that she was on the safety of land, she saw the monster turn around and go back out to sea. The Hippogriffs and Seaponies stared out at the spot where the monster was in disbelief. Queen Novo joined her daughter and gave her a serious look. "I think it's time that we should send a message to the rest of the world leaders," Novo said. (Tiamat's POV) This world's oceans were so much fun! Even the murky depths were bathed in light and home to creatures I've never seen before! As I was exploring the southern seas, I saw a bunch of colorful creatures swimming around and having a good time. I tried to join in the fun, too, but they all swam away from me. Some of them shot out of the water but didn't come back down. I popped my head out of the water to see where they were going and saw that there were other colorful lifeforms on the land. Maybe I could be neighborly and say "Hello". I am in their part of the sea, after all. I raised my head out of the water so that they could all see me clearly, with one creature particularly close. Maybe she wanted to be friends with me! I gave my heartiest "Hello" to her and the others on the shore. The small one screamed and flew back to the shore at top speed. That was a bit odd. Perhaps she was saying "hello" but was just shy. I think I'll come back to visit them again after I get done exploring the rest of the world's seas. ***** The Jungles to the South Daring Do was having a good time exploring the ruins she found. Not only did these ruins look like they were built by an ancient civilization, but it was full of artifacts that she could give to a museum. Her saddlebags were nearly filled to the brim with such things. "Alright! The Royal History Museum is going to have a field day with these!" she said to herself. Making her way towards the entrance of the ruins, Daring thought about what to do about her next book. It was becoming an increasingly daunting task to come up with new stories. "Maybe I should write a conclusion to Daring Do and write a new series entirely," Daring said to herself. "I could try my hoof at writing mystery novels. My fans always said I'm good at keeping them guessing." Before she could think about this further, a loud rumbling came from just outside. Daring Do flew out of the ruins and flew above them to get a better view of what she saw. And it was quite a sight to behold. A titanic beast was walking near the ruins. The creature was covered in deep brown fur and had a body shape similar to an ape. The beast's forelimbs had long curved claws and walked on it knuckles like an anteater, yet the creature's head had two long curved tusks like an elephant. A bellowing call came from its mouth as it simply walked away. Daring Do was staring at it with wide eyes. "Just when I thought I've seen everything," Daring said to herself. "Maybe I can include this in my next Daring Do book." (Behemoth's POV) This world is both strange and familiar to me. There were vast jungles in this section of this world's continent, so this was a good place to call home. If the calls I've been hearing were true, then Lord Gojira and the rest of my friends are here as well. If we were summoned to this world, then it would be my duty to help Gojira protect this world from anything that may threaten it. Like that vile King Ghidorah. Still, I had better things to do. I have to explore this jungle and familiarize myself to this new world, and then reunite with my friends. It would be nice to see some familiar faces again.
