> Book 1: adventures in Senior Year > by GRYFFINDOR123456 > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- > Prologue( 3rd Person) > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- Sunset smiled as she sat on the sofa, cuddled next to Flash. They were watching FRIENDS, the episode when Monica gets married and Rachel finds out she is pregnant. They laughed. “Sunset?” asked Flash. “How do you feel about tomorrow? 1st September. Senior Year.” “I’m a bit nervous,” replied Sunset. Flash smiled. “May I have you know what with you? Sorry, it’s taboo in our house. If my dad heard me say the word, he’d kick me out.” Sunset grinned. “Hmm… yeah,” she replied nonchalantly. Sunset slid onto her back. Flash scooted over to her, gently going on top of her. She could feel her breasts flattening against his chest. She smiled, closing her eyes. > chapter 1: auditions (5 weeks later, 3rd person) > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- Sunset sighed as she and Flash walked into school. She ran to her locker, fetching her script for the annual school play. “Are you gonna audition for Phantom of the Opera?” she asked Flash. Flash nodded. They ran into the gym, where the remaining Rainbooms were waiting. The Cutie Mark Crusaders were also there, giggling in the corner. She saw all the drama kids there as well. Sunset shook her head, laughing at the CMCs. “How was your summer?” asked Twilight. “I haven’t seen you for ages. Of course, we don’t share the same classes.” “Good,” replied Sunset, smiling. “Flash and I watched FRIENDS. You gonna audition?” “Only for a minor character,” replied Twilight. “Rarity is mad. She is auditioning for Christine Daae. No one can do opera.” “She can,” interrupted Applejack. “I’ve heard her.” Rainbow Dash laughed. “SERIOUSLY?!” she shouted, screaming with glee. “I’ll prove it,” replied Rarity. “That’s enough!” shouted Miss Cheerilee. “Miss Dash, if you can’t behave, you can go out of the room. Sunset, Rarity, Flash, can we hear All I ask of you (reprise) and The point of no return (reprise) SUNSET. I looked at Flash. He squeezed my hand gently. “Go on,” he said. “Let’s do it.” Flash took a deep breath and began to sing. “Rarity, you have a beautiful voice,” said Flash. “Flash,” I said softly. “Flash, you know in the play the Phantom attempts to hang Raoul?” Flash grinned. “I know, I’ve seen the movie. Loved it.” I looked at Miss Cheerilee. I looked back at Flash, my cyan eyes wide with fear. “Do we have to act the full scene now?” I asked shakily. “Yes,” said Rarity and Miss Cheerilee simultaneously. Flash grabbed the rope from backstage. “Take it,” he said. “Tie me up and let’s begin.” I tied Flash to the stage door. I created a loose noose and slipped it into my pocket. I looked at Rarity, my eyes saying “Sing” After the auditions, I let Flash go. The bell rang, signalling it was time for class. “At least we don’t have to return here,” I said. “I hated that.” I swung my satchel on my shoulder. “What do you have?” I asked. “History,” he said. “You?” “Art,” I replied. I squeezed his shoulder. “See you at recess,” I said. He kissed me on the cheek. “In the cafeteria?” he suggested. “Or the band room?” “Band room,” I replied. “See you later, sweetie.” I walked out of the gym, to art class. > chapter 2: I find out I am pregnant. > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- SUNSET. Recess came around. I swung my bag on my back, walking to the band room. I let myself in. Rarity and Applejack were already inside, talking. I felt a movement in my abdomen. Flash came in. “Flash?” I asked. “How long was it since we watched FRIENDS?” “Uh, 5 weeks?” he replied. “Flash, I’m late. My ladies' week late,” I replied. “By a week. And my ladies’ week is always on time.” I felt the same movement in my abdomen. “Whoa, steady on!” I rubbed it, turning to the side. “Rarity, can you see anything different about me?” I asked. Rarity shook her head. The rest of the girls came in. “Sunset, what’s wrong?” asked Fluttershy. “I’m late,” I said. “By a week. And I’m always on time,” I replied. “Shy, there is this strange feeling in my abdomen. Whoa! whoa, steady on!” Fluttershy rubbed my abdomen. “Sunset, I’m pretty certain you’re pregnant,” she said. I looked at Flash. I sighed. He sat down. “Okay,” he said. “Should we postpone the play?” “No,” said Twilight. I looked down at the floor. “What do I do?” I whimpered. “Just do what you normally do,” replied Fluttershy. “If you feel nauseous, just let us know. We will get the understudy when we get to the play and you are about to give birth.” “Or she can carry the baby around in a carrier and use breast pumps,” replied Rarity. “We’re here for you, Sunset. We’ll support you.” I smiled wanly. “Thanks,” I replied. Flash ran his fingers through his bright blue hair. “I’m a father,” he whispered. “I’m going to be a father.” “Speak up, Flash,” I said. “What did you say?” “I’m a father,” he repeated in a louder voice. “I’m going to be a father.” “It’ll be painful,” said Fluttershy. “I know. I’ve had to take care of pregnant animals. You do realise Sunset may die in the process?” “I know,” I replied. “I know. It’s a painful process. I’ve read Breaking Dawn countless times. Also, you do know I’ve just converted to Judaism? I’m a Reform Jew?” I kissed Flash. The bell rang. “Let’s go,” I said. “Class.” > Chapter 3: first rehearsal(on script) > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- FLASH We all sat around a large table in the gym. I grasped Sunset’s hand gently and smiled. “Alright!” Shouted Miss Cheerilee. “The auction. Rainbow Dash, let’s begin! Sunset, grab that mask while you’re at it, please.” Sunset sighed. She stood up, walking backstage, looking and trying to find the mask. She smiled triumphantly, grabbing the white mask from the rack. She placed it on her face. “What did I miss?” She asked. “The auction,” I replied, squeezing her waist gently. Sunset’s eyes lit up. “You know what this means? I have Angel of Music to sing. I love the song.” Rarity stood up. She sang Think of me. I looked across at Sunset. I squeezed her arm. She smiled, her warm hands brushing against my skin. When it was time for her to sing Angel of music, she stood up. She turned her head towards me, reaching out her hand towards me. I lifted her mask, kissing her gently. “You can do this,” I whispered in her ear. She let go of me, as she went, moving behind Rarity. Rarity began to sing, her beautiful voice carrying like an infectious disease. I wanted to sing with her, but it wasn’t my time. I nodded at Sunset. She nodded back, as she began to sing. Her voice was like an angel, but more gravelly than usual. I smiled at her. I was so proud of her. “Okay,” said Miss Cheerilee. “That’s enough. Sunset, do learn the song.” Sunset nodded meekly. She took off her mask and walked back to sit next to me. I smiled. She walked backstage to return the mask and then returned to me. I put my arms around her abdomen. The bell rang. > Option B > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- TWILIGHT “PHYSICS!” I shouted enthusiastically. I swept up my bag in one swoop. Sunset grinned, as she picked up her bag and then kissed Flash on the cheek. “See you after school in the band room,” she whispered. I dragged Sunset to Advanced Physics. “Easy, Twi,” she said. “I feel a little queasy.” I dragged her to her seat, her hair looking like it has been dragged through a hedge backwards. She dumped her bag on the chair, hurrying to the bathroom to fix her hair. She came back, neat and tidy, ready for learning. Micro Chips slipped in, sitting next to me. Mr Doodle swept in, shutting the door with a bang. Sunset jumped, before rubbing her left hand against her stomach. I smiled. “Today we will be talking about the conservation of energy. What is the most important rule?” asked Mr Doodle. My hand shot up. “Shimmer!” snapped Mr Doodle. “Were you even listening?” “Sorry sir,” replied Sunset meekly. “Shimmer, what is the answer?” He asked impatiently. “Um… Energy cannot be created or destroyed? It can only be transferred, dissipated or…” she groaned. “Sir, I feel like l am going to be sick. Can I go to the bathroom please?” “No,” he replied. Sunset’s face was as white as a sheet. “Sunset, are you sure you’re okay?” asked Micro Chips. “ Did you eat today?” Sunset shook her head. “I don’t want to damage the baby.” she said. Sunset then threw up. “Go out of the room,” he said. “Sir, she’s pregnant,” I said. Sunset looked up at Mr Doodle angrily. “Look, sir. I’m having a baby and I’m not at my strongest. Didn’t Nurse Redheart tell you?” “Get out of my classroom,” he snapped. Sunset stood up unsteadily. She grabbed her bag and walked out of the room. I heard the wall shake, as her head hit it. I went out; she had knocked herself out. Blood oozed from the top of her head. Her eyes were closed. I knelt down next to her, moving her away from wall. Flash came down the corridor with the rest of his Geography class. He knelt down next to Sunset and I. “What happened?” he asked. “Mr Doodle sent her out for being pregnant and she was so unstable that she must have banged her head on the wall.” Flash looked up. “I think we need to get her to Nurse Redheart,” he said. > Coma part 1 > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- FLASH Micro Chips and I picked up Sunset. We took her to the Nurse’s Office. Nurse Redheart gasped. She took Sunset from her and went into a small room. Micro Chips and I waited patiently. Nurse Redheart came out. “She’s in a coma,” she said. > Coma part 2 > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- FLASH. I ran into the room. Sunset was on a life support machine. She looked so peaceful, lying there, still. I collapsed into a chair beside her. “Will she be okay?” I asked. “I hope so,” replied Nurse Redheart. > Coma part 3 > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- Sunset “Sunset,” said a voice. Flash? I wanted to reply, but I couldn’t. It was like my mouth had been taped shut. I tried to lift my arms, but they felt so heavy, that they refused to move. I tried to open my eyes, but my eyes wouldn’t open. It was strange; nothing was working, apart from my ears. “Sunset...” said a voice. My ears kept making weird noises. “Sunset, can you hear us?” asked another voice. I heard someone sobbing. “She’s never gonna wake up!” wailed another voice. “She will,” said a familiar country voice. I had to do something. Even if I was in a coma, I wanted to help. I wanted to prove I was alive and hear everything they were saying. I heard footsteps walk away. I wanted to reach out, tell them not to go, not to leave me here. I tried to tell them. I couldn’t. Would I ever wake up? Could I? Could I wake up in time for the play? > 6 months after the coma > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- Flash. Sunset was recovering from the accident she had in Physics class. It was 6 months after the coma and she had just gotten out of the hospital. We were in the gym, again, going through the script. After all, she needed to catch up. I looked up. Gilda swaggered in with her cronies, Hoops, Score and Dumbbell, walking towards Rainbow Dash. Rainbow Dash was behind a desk which acted as the counter for the auction scene. Gilda climbed onto the stage, grabbing her by the neck. Sunset stood up. “Leave Dash alone,” she said quietly. “Gillie, please.” “Don’t call me by that stupid nickname, Shimmer!” snarled Gilda, letting go of Rainbow Dash. Sunset clenched her fists. “No one ever hurts my friends, do you hear me?” she asked. “Don’t go near my friends.” Gilda punched Sunset in her abdomen. Sunset let out a cry of pain, falling to her knees. I stood up. “Sunset!” I cried. I knelt next to her. “Gilda, please!” I begged. “Don’t hurt her! She’s 6 months pregnant!” “I don’t fucking care a shit if she’s pregnant!” screamed Gilda. “Sunset, are you okay?” I asked. “I’m fine,” she replied. “The baby was kicking me. That’s all.” I smiled. “Okay,” I replied. “Shall we get started? Or do you need to break?” “I’m fine!” snapped Sunset. “Sorry,” she said in a quieter voice. Rainbow Dash gave Gilda a hard glare. “Go!” cried Rainbow Dash. “GO!” Gilda laughed. “Oh I will!” she cried. “When Sunny-Bun here has given birth, then I’ll get my revenge!” She walked out with her cronies. Sunset and I exchanged looks. What did Gilda have in store for us? > Full dress rehearsal pt 1 > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- Micro Chips Lighting. Check. Sound effects. Check. Backing track. Check. Special effects. Check. Curtains working? Check. Twilight Sparkle. I went backstage to check on Micro Chips. I looked at him, high up, checking the lights. When he came down the ladder, I squeezed his hand. “You’ve done so well,” I said. Sunset Shimmer Flash smiled at me. I giggled as he put his hand to my belly. He pulled me into a soft kiss. I turned around. Gilda came through the double doors of the Gym. She grabbed Flash by his neck. I gasped. I gently prised Flash away from Gilda’s grip. Gilda and I fought. She threw me to the ground. I let out a cry of pain as I fell on my abdomen, on my visibly pregnant belly. “Sunset!” shouted Flash. “No! No!” I grunted. Gilda laughed, sprinting out of the Gym. Flash knelt down next to me. “Come on,” he said. “Let’s get you started.” > Full rehearsal pt 2: a digression > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- Flash. “Hit it, Flash!” shouted Pinkie. “Let’s hear you sing all I ask of you!” I took a deep breath. Sunset appeared from behind a statue she and AJ had placed there. I squeezed her hand gently. Sunset let out a cry. “The baby’s kicking!” She cried. “Breathe!” I shouted. “Breathe, Sunset! It is going to be okay.” I lifted the mask off her face in one fluid movement. We kissed passionately. I ran my fingers through her wig. She sighed, as she stroked my wig. “No more talk of darkness,” I sang. “Forget those wide eyed tears…” My voice broke. A tear leaked from my eyes, onto Sunset’s face. The song reminded me of our relationship. “Say you’ll love me, one love, one lifetime,” sang Sunset. “Say the word and I will follow you…” She led me into a weak dance, of course, taking into account she was pregnant. We waltzed, as I twirled her around to the song. She leaned her head against my shoulder, as the song concluded. > Dress Rehearsal part 3: point of no return > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- Flash Sunset looked up as the entrance came down from the ceiling of the gym. She smiled, as I placed her mask back onto her face. She led me to the entrance, tying me to it with a long rope. I sighed. She squeezed my hand gently, as she gagged me. Rarity entered from off stage. She sang. I joined in, Sunset harmonising with me. Sunset tied a noose around my neck, pulling it tight, but not so tight that I couldn’t breathe. Then I heard a noise. I wanted to turn, but I couldn’t. I heard a familiar voice, Gilda, walk onto the stage, and into the back. I heard Rainbow Dash grunt. Sunset threw off her mask and ran backstage. I heard Sunset groan, then silence. Was she hurt? I reached up to loosen the nooose. I took down the gag. I untied myself from the entrance and ran backstage. Sunset lay on the floor, a gash through her left eyelid, her lips, her cheek, and a wound in her back. I gasped; she had been stabbed in the back. Fluttershy was kneeling beside her, wiping her wound on her back, wrapping bandages around it. I lifted Sunset’s head gently. Her eyes were closed, her breathing ragged and faint. Then her heart stopped. I knelt beside her, desperately trying to do CPR on her. I looked up at Fluttershy. She nodded. She ran to get a defibrillator while I continued to try to save her. Fluttershy ran back with a defibrillator and I took off her clothes from her body. Fluttershy placed the defibrillator on Sunset’s back and chest and then switched it on. An electric shock was sent through her body. She took a weak breath. I moved Sunset into the recovery position while Fluttershy took off the defibrillator. I sighed. I waited for a sign. Sunset’s eyes fluttered open weakly. “Sunset.” I said. “You’re alive.” > 2 months later… > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- Sunset. I was getting ready for the big day. First performance. Flash squeezed my hand, kissing me gently. I smiled, standing up to fetch the prosthetic. I let out a sharp cry of pain, as my water broke suddenly. I was not expecting my water to break on the night of the play. I almost fell, but Flash caught me in time. “Has your water broken?” he asked. I nodded. Flash lay me down. “I’m gonna find Twilight. We’ll take you to Nurse Redheart.” he said. Flash ran out. I screamed, as the pressure of the pregnancy began to rise rapidly. Flash ran back in, with Twilight. They lifted me by the arms, leading me to Nurse Redheart. Nurse Redheart gasped; she got them to lay me down on a hospital bed. Flash held my hand as I sat up gently, and began to push. > I name my kids > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- Sunset I held my twins in my arms. Identical twins, both girls. “What do you want to call them?” asked Flash. “Dawn,” I said. “And Eclipse.” I kissed Flash. “And name Twilight and Micro Chips as Godparents. Do you agree?” “Yes,” replied Flash, taking Eclipse from me. Dawn cooed. Dawn began to breastfeed on me. I giggled. Flash smiled. > Finale > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- Sunset When I finally got out of the hospital, Flash and I were in the gym, talking. “Well, look what we have here!” cried Gilda from behind me. I stood up. I passed Flash Eclipse and then I clenched my fists. Gilda and I engaged in a fist fight, each other matching up equally. I kicked her in her shin. She doubled over. She stood up, kicking me. Gilda then came up behind me, a knife in her hand. I turned around, grabbing the knife, and twisted it out of her grip. I threw it across the room, into the wall. Gilda grabbed her knife. I backed into the wall, Gilda getting dangerously close. Then I felt an overwhelming pain in my abdomen. I looked down, Gilda had stabbed me, and I hadn’t even realised. I let out a cry of pain as she stabbed me again. My stomach hurt like a son of a bitch. I collapsed. Flash hurried to my side, putting down the twins. He put my head in his lap, as my eyes began to close. “Don’t leave me, Sunset,” he sobbed. “Please.” “I love you,” I said quietly. “ Look… after them.” My head fell, as life faded from my eyes. I closed them, then I was still. Flash “No!” I shouted. “No!” I buried my head in her clothes, sobbing. She was gone. I looked up. Gilda had escaped. Now it was time for revenge. Save Sunset, and defeat her murderer.
