> Chapter 1

The girls had gone to the beach for the start of summer. It was a nice day, the sun was shining and it wasn't too hot. They picked a spot on the beach, to set their things down. 

Rarity had made them all new bikinis, Rare's bikini was white & dark purple, Twi's was purple & magenta, Sunset's was red, Pinkie's was teal, Flutter's was light green, Rainbow's was blue & red and AJ's was yellow.

Sunset & Pinkie were holding a large yellow & blue inflatable raft for them to lay on in the ocean, Fluttershy was opening a package she brought.

"What do you have there, Flutter's?" asked Rainbow.

"This." answered Fluttershy, she pulled out a mermaid tail from the package. The mermaid tail had yellow scales with pink fins.

"Pretty." said Pinkie.

"I read about these mermaid tails that can help you swim better, so I wanted to try it." said Fluttershy.

“Cool.” said Rainbow.

“How much did that thing cost?” asked Applejack.

”Oh not much.” answered Fluttershy.

“Shy?” said Sunset.

“500.” said Fluttershy.

“WHAT!” said Twilight.

“I don’t spend a lot and have a bunch saved up.” said Fluttershy.

Fluttershy got her tail with help from Sunset & Pinkie, Applejack carried Shy two the water. Sunset, Pinkie & Fluttershy sat on the inflatable raft, when they were far enough out. Fluttershy put on a mask & dived into the water. 

While she was swimming, dolphins swam to her and bumped her, the dolphins chirped and she petted each of their heads. One of the dolphins pushed her back into shy’s chest & stomach, shy grabbed the dolphin's fin and it pulled shy through the water. Fluttershy looked down and saw something sparkling in on the ocean floor.

Fluttershy’s geode glew and her yellow aura went through the dolphin and it took shy to the surface. 

“There’s something on the ocean floor, can you take me to it?”Fluttershy asked, the dolphins chirped in response.

Fluttershy took a breath and was taken to the floor, what Fluttershy saw was a silver shard. Fluttershy grabbed it and was taken to Sunset & Pinkie.

Sunset & Pinkie were reading Powergirls comics on the raft.
“I see you made friends.” said Sunset, when she came back.

“Look at what I found.” said Fluttershy, showing them the shard.

“Oh sparkly.” said Pinkie, taking it.

“What do you think it is?” asked Fluttershy.

“I don’t know, I kinda looks like a pearl.” said Sunset.

The shard started glowing white. “Um it’s glowing.” said Pinkie.

The rainbooms geodes all started glowing a little in reaction to the pearl shard, but none of them noticed, the shard let out a small flash of light and the geodes got brighter. When the flash of light from the pearl went away, the geodes stopped glowing.

“Shy, what happened to your hair?” Sunset asked, noticing Fluttershy hair gained teal & purple stripes.

“Same with yours.” said Fluttershy.

Pinkie’s hair gained a light blue stripe and Sunset’s a orange stripe.
“It’s like when we pony up our hair gains more color.” said Pinkie.

“We gotta get back to the others.” said Sunset.

Fluttershy sat on the raft & went to remove her tail, but she couldn’t. “We have a problem.” said Fluttershy.

“What?” asked Sunset.

“I can’t remove my tail.” said Fluttershy.

Pinkie dipped her legs in the water and they morphed into a pink tail with light blue fins, Sunset did the same & her legs morphed into a red tail with orange fins.

“This shard turned us into mermaids!” Pinkie yelled.

“Do you think the others changed?” asked Fluttershy.

“I assume, since the three of us changed.” said Sunset.

“So we got four mermaids stuck on the beach.” said Pinkie.

“How do we get back on land?” said Fluttershy.

One of the Dolphins brought Fluttershy’s fake tail up to them.

“So much for the tail I bought.” said Fluttershy.

“Now you got a real one.” said Pinkie.

The girls paddled back to shore when they touched the beach, their tails turned back into legs. “Pheww, so we regain our legs when we’re out of the water.” Sunset said. 

The three regrouped with the others, Applejack’s hair gained a red stripe, Rarity’s hair gained a yellow stripe, Twilight’s hair gained a teal stripe & Rainbow’s remained unchanged.

“Girls!” said Pinkie.

“Have fun in the ocean?” asked Twilight.

“It was interesting.” said Fluttershy.

“What happened to your tail?” asked Rainbow.

“Fluttershy found this pearl shard & it turned us into mermaids.” said Sunset.

“Seriously?” asked Applejack.

“Yes all three of us gained real tails in the ocean, but they changed back to legs on land.” answered Sunset.

“And have you noticed our hair has changed?” asked Pinkie.

“What do we do?” asked Twilight.

“Tell Princess Twilight.” answered Sunset, who reached for her book.

Hey Twilight.” Sunset said.

“Sunset! How is the summer vacation going?” asked Princess Twilight.

“Interesting.” answered Sunset.

“What happened?” asked Princess Twilight.

“We've been turned into mermaids.” answered Sunset.

“Are you serious?” asked Princess Twilight.

“Yes.” answered Sunset.

“How did this happen?” asked Princess Twilight.

“Fluttershy found this pearl shard in the ocean and we’ve been turned into mermaids.” answered Sunset.

“That’s a piece of Queen Novo’s pearl of transformation which turns those affected into sea ponies & in your case mermaids.” said Princess Twilight.

“How did this get here?” asked Sunset.

“Maybe an underwater portal? You said portals to Equestria can open in random places.” answered Princess Twilight.

“Our tails can morph back into legs on land.” said Sunset.

“That sounds like what happens to the sea ponies, when they leave the ocean the turn into hippogriffs.” said Princess Twilight.

“How do we change back?” asked Sunset.

“Since you can also harness the element of magic & are a powerful unicorn when over here. You probably can connect with the shard and turn all of you back into regular humans.” said Princess Twilight.

“What she’s saying?” asked Rarity.

“She says that I can probably turn us all back into regular people.” answered Sunset.

“But we just got our tails, Fluttershy’s the only one who’s swam with a tail and Rare, Twi, AJ & Dahsie haven’t gotten to see their tails yet.

“I’m good without it.” said Applejack.

Pinkie wrapped her arm around Applejack, “At least experience it once.” said Pinkie.

“I want to.” said Rainbow.

“Sounds fun.” said Twilight.

“It was weird at first swimming with one, but you get used to it.” said Fluttershy.

“Alright.” said Applejack.

“This is crazy.” said Rarity.

“We're not ordinary girls.” said Pinkie.

Sunset wrote back.
“We're going to take our tails for a spin.” said Sunset.

“Myself & the others over here experienced it and it was fun, go ahead.” said Princess Twilight.

“What do we do with the pearl shard?” asked Sunset.

“Hide it, in your bag and then keep it safe somewhere.”' answered Princess Twilight.


The rainbooms walked into the ocean and they gained their tails, Rarity’s tail was white with purple fins, Applejack’s tail was orange with yellow fins, Twilight’s tail was purple with magenta fins & Rainbow’s tail was blue with red & green fins.

The rainbooms quickly realized they could also breath underwater, the dolphins from before returned with more of them and they all twirled around the rainbooms. The girls followed suit, they twisted & twirled as well. Rainbow wanted to see how far down they could go, so they traveled 80 meters down before surfacing.

“This is AWESOME!” cheered Pinkie.

“It’s really fun.” said Twilight.

“I could stay here for hours.” said Fluttershy.

“AJ, what do you think?” asked Rainbow.

“I like it.” said Applejack.

“I knew you would.” said Pinkie.

“Are we keeping the tails?” asked Rarity.

“I want to keep mine.” said Fluttershy.

“Same.” said Pinkie

“We have to be careful not to let people know.” said Sunset.

“Why? People already have seen us use magic and know that it exists.” said Rainbow.

“People probably would hound us if they knew we had the power to turn people into merpeople.” said Sunset.

“Speaking of which.” said Twilight, pointing towards a group of people approaching on jet skis.

“Dive.” said Rainbow.

The girls dove underwater to avoid detection, they swam under the pier.
“Okay, almost hit by a bunch of jet skis.” said Rarity.

“We need to get back to our stuff.” said Rainbow.

They waited 10 minutes and when the coast was clear, they got back on land and thankfully all of their things along with the pearl shard was still in their spot. They put their stuff in Rarity’s RV and had lunch at one of the restaurants on the pier.

They were sitting in a table with a curved booth, during lunch they chatted about multiple things. Fluttershy’s mind drifted back to the sea, being a mermaid and her legs then turned into her tail.

Sunset felt Shy’s tail brush her leg, she looked down and noticed. “Shy your tail’s out.” said Sunset.

“What?” said Fluttershy, coming out of her thoughts.

“Hide it.” said Rainbow.

“With what?” asked Twilight.

“I thought our tails came out in the water.” said Rarity.

“I was just thinking about the sea & being a mermaid and my body made my tail appear.” said Fluttershy.

“Well think about having legs.” said Sunset.

Fluttershy did and her tail turned into her legs. “There.” Fluttershy said.

“It was hard enough to keep this a secret, now with a thought are tails can appear.” said Applejack.

After lunch they returned to the ocean for more exploring, the sea creatures were happy to see their mermaid friends again. The dolphins challenged Rainbow, Pinkie & AJ to a race to which the mermaids accepted. The other 4 were exploring sea caves & the ocean floor, Twilight & Sunset found a few fish fossils, Fluttershy & Rarity were watching a school of colorful fish.

Fluttershy & Rarity found some green sea flowers and after the race Applejack joined Shy & Rare. Brightly colored fish swam around AJ & Rare, the fashionista grabbed AJ and pulled her into a kiss. One of the dolphins wanting to be petted swam in between them, breaking up their kiss. 

Rarity smiled and petted the dolphin’s head, Twilight & Sunset found a family of baby turtles. One of the baby turtles had its head stuck in coral, the momma turtle saw the mermaids and motioned for help. Twilight wrapped her magic around the baby turtle and slowly pulled her out, the turtles smiled at the two mermaids and left.

Pinkie was looking into small coral caves and a couple of electric eels popped out, not happy being distrubed. Pinkie held her hands in front of face expecting to get stunned, then blue sparks came out of her hands making the eels stop. Pinkie looked confused and her hands made the sparks appear again.

The eels went back into their home, Pinkie gathered the group together and showed them what she could do, surprising the others. The rest tried to make electricity appear like Pinkie, but couldn’t. Rarity waved her hands and froze a small bit of ice around them. Sunset was able to heat up the water and Fluttershy made water bubbles turn into different shapes.

They all resurfaced.
“We got mermaid powers!” said Pinkie.

“Not all of us.” said Rainbow.

“Rarity has cryokinesis, Fluttershy has hydrokinesis, Pinkie has electrokinesis & Sunset has Pyrokinesis.” said Twilight.

“Why only them?” asked Rainbow.

“I don’t know, maybe we all have something.” answered Twilight.

“Well I like to know.” Rainbow said and she threw her hands up and the wind lifted Rainbow up and she fell back into the water.

The slash of water made Applejack jump and balls of yellow light came out of her hands.
“Whoa, what was that?” asked Dash.

“There you go dash, you have aerokinesis & AJ can generate & manipulate light.” said Sunset.

“AWESOME!” said Rainbow and she did a backflip jump.
> Chapter 2

They returned to the RV, Pinkie was making the light go off and on.
“Pinkie stop!” called Sunset from the bathroom.

“Sorry.” said Pinkie.

“Twi didn’t get a mermaid power.” said Rainbow.

“Maybe my telekinesis is already enough.” Twilight shrugged.

Applejack held the pearl shard. “Funny how this little thing can turn us into mermaids.” she said.

Sunset exited the bathroom, she saw the shard light up white and then saw their geodes light up.
“That’s how.” said Sunset.

“What’s how?” asked Fluttershy.

“Our geodes are reacting to the pearl shard.” answered Sunset.

“Because our geodes are connected, that’s why all of us changed.” said Rainbow.

 “Where are we keeping that?” asked Pinkie.

“I don’t know.” answered Sunset.

“Should we give it to Princess Twilight?” asked Twilight.

“Probably.” answered Sunset.

Back in Equestria Princess Twilight was in a meeting with Queen Novo, they were in P.Twi’s library/office.

“Before I return to Sea Equestria is there anything else I should know?” asked Queen Novo.

Princess Twilight squirmed a little. “Well…..um one of the Pearl of Transformation shards has ended up with Sunset Shimmer & her friends.” she answered.

“WHAT!? Where is Sunset?” asked Queen Novo.

“It’s complicated.” answered Princess Twilight.

“How exactly?” asked Queen Novo.

“Sunset’s in the human world.” answered Princess Twilight.

“The Human World?” said Queen Novo.

“It’s another world connected to ours and in that world there’s another version of everypony here. The version of everypony in that world is a species called Humans.” said Princess Twilight.

“We must go there and get that pearl shard back from Sunset!” exclaimed Queen Novo.

Twilight sighed. “You must follow my directions while being in the human world, many of the people in that world, like many over here are unaware of their being two worlds connected to each other.” said Princess Twilight.

“I will follow & respect your instructions.” said Queen Novo.

Princess Twilight opened a purple & magenta colored portal when they entered, it closed. The two appeared on the pier in a magenta flash, thankfully it was night time and the pier was empty. Queen Novo lost balance, fell to the ground and she was astonished at her human form. Princess Twilight helped her up, Novo stood at 6 feet 5 inches, the colors of her eyes, hair & skin were the same as her eyes, mane & fur in her seapony/hippogriff form.

Novo’soutfit was a purple sleeveless top, a light blue skirt & gold boots.
“Where is this Sunset?” asked Queen Novo.

“Don’t know exactly.” answered Princess Twilight.

The rainbooms had gone for a night swim, it was difficult to swim underwater in the dark. Applejack lit up her hands so they could see. Princess Twilight & Queen Novo saw two bright circles of yellow light in the water and caught a glimpse of the rainbooms tails.

“There they are!” said Queen Novo.

Queen Novo jumped off the pier, when she landed in the water her legs turned into her light gray tail with a large magenta tailfin and she had two magenta fins coming from her back like in her seaspony form. Novo was given a purple bikini top in over her breasts in her mermaid form.

The rainbooms were having fun swimming, twirling and dancing around.
“What’s that?” asked Pinkie, seeing the large shadowy shape approaching.

Queen Novo came into view. “Queen Novo the ruler of Seaquestria & Hippogriffa and you’ve stolen my pearl shard!” thundered Queen Novo.

“Come here.” said Sunset, leading them all to shore.

Princess Twilight ran down the stairs on the side of the pier when she saw them come up.
“How did you get here?” asked Sunset.

“That would….be…..me.” painted Princess Twilight.

“I thought the portal was connected to the statue & CHS?” said Rarity.

“I focused on Sunset & the other me and was able to create a portal that took us here.” answered Princess Twilight.

“Nice.” said Sunset.

“Can we get back to you thieves?” aksd Queen Novo.

“We’re not thieves.” said Human Twilight..

“We didn’t even know about Seaquestria or your kind until today.” said Rainbow.

“I found the pearl shard just laying on the ocean floor.” said Fluttershy.

“Natural portals between our worlds exist, there’s probably one in Seaquestria somewhere that opens up in the ocean here.’ said Sunset.

Princess Twilight put a hand on Queen Novo’s shoulder. “See no one’s a thief, it’s a reasonable explanation.” Princess Twilight said.

“Where’s the pearl shard?” asked Queen Novo.

“In there.” answered Applejack, pointing to the RV.

Sunset went & got the pearl shard, as she handed it to Novo, the shard and the rainboom’s geodes all lit up. Once Novo had the shard the stopped glowing.

“That’s how we got our tails, the shard & our geodes react to each other.” said Human Twilight.

“And we got new powers.” said Pinkie.

“Powers?” said Princess Twilight.

The seven showed their powers to the princess & queen.
“The pearl of transformation only gives the weider a tail and the ability to breath underwater, but nothing else.” said Queen Novo surprised.

“That came from our geodes and we don't know why.” said Applejack.

“Interesting.” said Princess Twilight.

“Can we keep our tails?” asked Fluttershy.

“Obviously they are the version of myself & my friends, plus they can also harness the power of friendship & elements of harmony.” said Princess Twilight.

“Seeing & hearing everything, yes I allow you all to keep your tails.” said Queen Novo.

"Thank you, your highness." bowed Sunset.

Queen Novo held out a hand & chuckled. "No need for that." she said.

"Sorry, being raised by Celestia. Learned to bow to royalty." said Sunset.

"I should be apologizing for my hastefullness, my kind's been away from the greater world of equestria. Even though things are better, I went to the worse scenario and judge you." said Queen Novo.

"The shard is your property, you have every right to be protective of it." said Rarity.

"No, I still shouldn't have jumped to conclusions." said Queen Novo.

"It's alright." said Sunset.

"Thank you for handling the pearl shard & I better get back now." said Queen Novo.

"How about a swim first?" said Rainbow.

"You are our guest and as you felt the water was great." said Pinkie.

"No need to rush out." said Sunset.

Queen Novo smirked. "You make a good argument." she said.

Queen Novo used the shard & a purple aura glee around Princess Twilight, like Human Twilight. P.Twi got a light blue stripe in her hair.

"It would be rude to leave you out Princess." said Queen Novo.

The women ran into the ocean, Princess Twilight's tail was purple, she had larger tail fins than Human Twilight and Princess Twilight had magenta fins coming from her back, Princess Twilight got a pink bikini top in her mermaid form.

Applejack lit the way so they could see, while the oceans of Equestria and the human world were very similar. It was still fun for Queen Novo, they swam for a couple hours.

At the end of the 2nd hour Sunset thought she saw a very faint blue glow coming from down below. Sunset pointed to the glow's direction and everyone followed. 

They traveled 150 meters down and they found an underwater cave. The geodes lit up, the walls of the cave also lit up blue and in the middle of the wall a portal formed.

The women entered the portal & they came to another underwater cave in Sequestria. They were changed to their Equestrian forms.

"We found that portal." said Queen Novo.

"Hopefully no human or Seaquestrian finds the portal." said Princess Twilight.

"We travel 150 meters down in the human ocean." said Queen Novo.

"Which is too far down for Humans to dive." said Sunset.

"That leaves my people, like the princess said hopefully they don't wander into that portal." said Queen Novo.

"We all better get going." said Princess Twilight.

"Yes." said Queen Novo.

"It was lovely meeting you, your Highness." said Rarity.

"Likewise." said Queen Novo.

Everyone returned to their respective homes, Princess Twilight gave back her tail after reaching the surface in Equestria and she teleported home,

The Rainbooms headed off to bed when they got back, in the morning Fluttershy went for a morning swim. In Seaquestria Princess Skystar & her cousin Silverstream where swimming, they were racing each other, Skystar was winning and she stopped when she saw the faint glow coming from the portal in the underwater cave.

“Sky, why’d you stop?” asked Silverstream.

“I saw something.” answered Skystar.

“What?” asked Silverstream.

“A light came from here.” answered Skystar.

The two entered the cave and the portal opened.
“Cool.” said Skystar.

Skystar poked a fin into the portal. “I don’t know about this.” said Silverstream.

“Come let’s see where this goes.” said Skystar.

Skystar dragged her cousin through the portal and they ended up in the human world; they both gained human halves. Their tails & fins were the same, their maines turned into hair and both had light blue bikini tops in their mermaid forms.

“What happened to us!?” asked Silverstream.

“Like I know.” answered Skystar.

“Let’s go back.” said Silverstream.

Skystar grabbed Silverstream. “Maybe she knows.” said Skystar pointing at Fluttershy.
> Chapter 3

The two swam to the other mermaid.
“Excuse us miss.” said Silverstream.

“Huh? What? Who are you two?” asked Fluttershy.

“I’m Princess Skystar of Seaquestria & daughter of Queen Novo and this is my cousin Silverstream.” answered Skystar.

“Hi.” said Silverstream.

“Now where & what are we?” asked Skystar.

“Um…okay, so the two of you are in the human world.” answered Fluttershy.

“The human world?” asked Skystar.

“Yes, it’s a world that’s connected with yours and theirs portals in both, which take you to both worlds. Each world has their version of the same person in them, here the versions of beings from Equestria are humans.” said Fluttershy.

“WOW! Wait until we tell my mom about this.” said Skystar.

“Actually myself and my friends met your mother last night.” said Fluttershy.

“My mom came to a different world and didn’t tell us.” said Skystar.

“She probably knew we would come here.” said Silverstream.

“Your mother, the other princesses, myself & my friends want to minimize the number of beings that know about the two worlds.” said Fluttershy.

“That makes sense.” said Skystar.

“You look familiar.” said Silverstream.

“She does?” asked Skystar.

“I’m this world’s Fluttershy.” said Fluttershy.

“That’s why you looked familiar.” said Silverstream.

“Where’s the rest of your friends?” asked Skystar.

“Follow me.” said Fluttershy.

Fluttershy led them to land, their tails morphing into legs; both Skystar & Silverstream had light blue bikini bottoms to match their tops. The Seaquestrians had a hard time standing, but were helped by Fluttershy and she led them to the RV.

“Have a nice morning swim, Shy?” Sunset asked.

“Who are these two?” Rarity asked.

“This is Queen Novo’s daughter Skystar and her cousin Silverstream..” said Fluttershy.

“HOLY CRAP! THIS IS SO EXCITING!’ said Pinkie.

“Hi.” said Skystar.

“Hello.” said Silverstream.

“The two of you got here through that portal in the cave?” asked Sunset.

“Yes.” answered Skystar.

“Novo is probably going to freak out when she sees you’re gone.” said Applejack.

“We’ve gone off before without telling her.” said Silverstream.

“Sunset-” Twilight whispered to Sunset..

“Already on it.” Sunset whispered to Twilight.

Sunset opened her book.
“Morning Twily, how are you doing after last night?” Sunset asked.

“Good why?” asked Princess Twilight.

“Princess Skystar & Silverstream are here.” answered Sunset.

“Oh sweet Celestia.” said Princess Twilight.

“Yeah, if it isn’t dealing with magical artifacts, it's always something or someones in this case.” said Sunset.

“Did anyone else see them?” asked Princess Twilight.

“No, just Fluttershy.” answered Sunset.

“I’ll let Novo know, please keep them out of trouble.” said Princess Twilight.

“We can do that.” said Sunset and she closed her book.

“What are you writing there?” asked Skystar.

“This is a journal that allows myself & Princess Twilight to send messages back & forth with each other.” answered Sunset.

“What’d she say?” asked Silverstream.

“I told her that the two of you are here and she’s going to tell Novo.” answered Sunset.

“Mom’s going to come & drag us back now.” said Skystar.

“But until she gets here, can we have some fun here?” asked Silverstream.

“Please?” asked Skystar.

“I don’t think that’s a good idea.” said Applejack.

“Well Princess Twilight did say for us to keep an eye on you two.” answered Sunset.

“Thank you.” said Skystar.

“But the two of you listen to us and don’t go wandering.” said Sunset.

“Yes, ma’am.” said Silverstream.

“Well the two of you need an outfit.” said Rarity, she took out her supplies and got their measurements.

After 45 minutes Rarity finished the outfits, Skystar’s outfit was a light red blouse, a light blue skirt, black boots, a red hairband & and a blue necklace with a gold star pendant attached.. 
Silverstream’s outfit was a hot pink shirt, blue shorts & purple shoes.

“These feel nice thank you.” said Skystar after putting it on.

“Amazingly done.” said Silverstream.

“You’re welcome.” said Rarity.

The Rainbooms got dressed and they went to breakfast, Skystar & Silversteam split a big plate of hash browns & each had an egg & cheese sandwich.

“These are really good.” said Skystar, scarfing down a hash brown.

“Glad you like them.” said Pinkie.

After breakfast the rainbooms took their guests around the pier & stores next to the beach. They went on the roller coaster which made Skystar & Silversteam vomit in a garbage can. Sunset bought them ginger ale drinks to help settle their stomachs.

“Don’t worry you’ll be fine.” said Pinkie.

“I don’t want to do that again.” said Silverstream.

“Same.” said Skystar.

“It’s better when you don’t have a big meal before riding it.” said Rainbow.

Sunset’s bag started vibrating, she opened her book.
“Queen Novo has been told where Skystar & Silverstream are and she’s not pleased but is relieved to know they’re safe.” said Princess Twilight.

“That’s good, should we take them back now?” asked Sunset.

“Queen Novo will let them stay for a few days, Novo jokingly said now she can get some piece & quiet.” said Princess Twilight.

“I was worried Novo would come storming here with some guards.” said Sunset.

“I was as well, but after last night Novo knows you & the others are very capable of watching over Skystar & Silverstream.” said Princess Twilight.

Well they’ve been having fun and haven’t caused any trouble.” said Sunset.

“I’ll let Novo know.” said Princess Twilight.

“What did Twilight want?” asked Fluttershy.

“To see how they were doing.” answered Sunset.

“Did she tell my mom?” asked Skystar.

“Yes and your mom isn’t happy, but she will let the two of you stay for a few days. So she can get some peace & quiet.” answered Sunset.

Silverstream chuckled. “That sounds about right.” she said.

“ALRIGHT!” cheered Pinkie, hugging Silverstream.

They were swimming away from other people in the afternoon. Flash, Sandalwood, Soarin & Thunderlane were in a small boat getting ready to dive without any gear to see how far down they could go. They had dropped a line with marker buoys to show how many meters down they were.

Skystar watched them as the dove, she was hiding behind large rocks and Sunset soon joined her.

“Something catch your eye?” asked Sunset.

“Huh? what?” Skystar jumped.

The boys had gotten to 40 meters, they fist bumped as Flash released the buoy. 
“Who are they?” asked Skystar.

“That’s Flash Sentry, Sandalwood, Thunderlane---” said Sunset pointing out each one.

Soarin went further to 50 meters and released the 50 meter buoy. “And him?” asked Skystar.

“That’s Soarin.” said Sunset.

“It’s surprising that being without a tail can go down this far.” said Skystar.

“Yeah, people can surprise you.” said Sunset.

Sunset went back to the other girls, Skystar continued watching. Flash, Thunderlane & Sandalwood went back up for air, but Soarin went down further to 70 meters. 

“Wow.” Skystar said to herself as she watched Soarin go back up.

“Soarin! You’re a beast dude!” holled Flash as he & the other pulled him into the boat.

Soarin coughed up water as he came to. “Thanks.” asked Soarin.

“You shouldn’t push yourself that much, so fast.” said Sandalwood.

“I pulled myself back up.” said Soarin.

“Well thankfully you did.” said Thunderlane.

“Too much longer and we would’ve had to go back for you.” said Flash.

“Just be more careful.” said Sandalwood.

“Yeah.” said Soarin.

The girls took a break from swimming about an hour later and were on the pier & boardwalk. Skystar was getting a big ice cream cone, she hopped as they were fixing it.

“You must really like Ice Cream.” said Soarin, buying a hamburger, fries & a soda from the booth next to the ice cream one.

“Um..yeah.” said Skystar.

“That’ll be $6.00.” said the guy behind the counter.

“Here.” said Soarin handing the money to the guy.

Skystar took her Ice Cream which was blue & pink in a pink cone. 
“You didn’t have to do that, I had money in my hand.” said Skystar.

“Don’t worry about it.” said Soarin.

“Well thank you.” said Skystar.

“I’m Soarin.” said Soarin.

“Skystar.” said Skystar.

“What flavor did ya get?” asked Soarn.

“It’s called Bubblegum unicorn.” answered Skystar, she took a bite and her eyes went wide.

“It’s it good?” asked Soarin.

Skystar nodded her head, she took 4 more bites and then stopped as her head got cold & a headache.
“Ow.” said Skystar.

“If you eat it too fast that’ll happen.” said Soarin.

“Thanks for the info.” said Skystar.

After a few minutes they walked to a table. “Did you not know that was going to happen?” asked Soarin.

“No, this is actually the first time I have eaten Ice Cream.” answered Skystar.

“Really?” asked Soarin.

“My mom didn’t buy it when I was growing up.” answered Skystar.

“What kind of parent doesn’t buy Ice Cream for her kid.” Soarin asked.

“Mine.” said Skystar.

“Are you here by yourself?” asked Soarin.

“No I’m with my Cousin Silverstream.” answered Skystar.

“Where’s she?” asked Soarin.

“I don’t know, we were taking a break from diving.” answered Skystar.

“You two dive?” Soarin smiled.

“Yeah, we’ve been doing it a little.” said Skystar.

“Myself & my friends were diving earlier today.” said Soarin.

“How far did you guys make it?” asked Skystar.

“They went only 50 meters, but I pushed myself to 70.” answered Soarin.

“Wow.” said Skystar.

“How about you? How far do you & Silverstream go?” asked Soarin.

“60 for both of us.” answered Skystar.

“Dang, you two should come with us when we go back out there.” said Soarin.

“We’re good.” said Skystar.

“Why?” asked Soarin.

“Because you don’t want to push yourself too much.” answered Skystar.

“You sound like my friends.” said Soarin.

“They’re right.” said Skystar.

“If we can’t do the diving, how about something else?” said Soarin.

“What do you have in mind?” asked Skystar.

“How about you & me, tonight where we can have dinner?” asked Soarin.

“That sounds nice.” said Skystar.

“Let’s say 7 o’clock?” said Soarin.

“That works for me.” said Skystar.

“SKYSTAR!” said Pinkie running to her with the rest of the girls following.

“Oh hey Pinkie.” said Skystar.

“We were wondering where you took off to.” said Rarity.

“I’m fine.” said Skystar.

“Hey Soarin.” said Rainbow.

“Dash, rest of the girls, hey.” said Soarin.

“Alright come on.” said Sliverstream.

“Oh wait Skystar, are we still doing tonight?” asked Soarin as she got up.

“Yes, see you then.” answered Skystar.

“Did Soarin ask you out on a date?” asked Applejack as they walked away.

“Um….yeah?” answered Skystar.

Later that evening Skystar stood in front of a mirror. She was wearing a yellow sundress with a blue star pattern on it, Rarity was putting the final stitches on the bottom of it.

"You look cute!" said Silversteam.

"I'm extremely nervous." said Skystar.

"Really?" asked Pinkie.

"Yes, growing up a Princess meant everything I did was under a giant spotlight. Especially when it came to finding someone, a number of the Seaquestrians want to be with me because I'm royalty." answered Skystar.

"Oh." said Pinkie.

"This is the first date where the person doesn't know who I am and trying to make a good impression makes me nervous." said Skystar.

"Soarin's a little bit of a showboat, but he's a good guy." said Rainbow.

"You two were having a nice conversation earlier on the pier, just think about that." said Sunset.

Rarity stood up, giving her a look over, she touched Skystar's shoulders.
"So you'll be fine." said Rarity.

"You think?" asked Skystar.

"Yes darling." answered Rarity.

“Just have fun & relax.” said Fluttershy, who was shapeshifting a bubble of water.

Applejack touched the water bubble & it lit up with gold light. “Shy’s right.” she said.

“Now go have fun!” said Pinkie, she accidentally released sparks from her hands and it zapped the water bubble, bursting it onto Fluttershy & Twilight.

“Pinkie!” said Twilight.

“Oops, Sorry.” said Pinkie.

There was a knock on the RV door, Sunset opened it and it was Soarin. He was wearing a white buttoned shirt, blue pants & black shoes.

“Hey Soarin.” said Sunset.

“Is Skystar ready?” asked Soarin.

“Just about.” answered Rarity.

“It’ll just be a minute or two.” said Sunset, closing the door.

“And lastly these.” said Rarity, handing Skystar a pair of light blue shoes.

Rarity opened the door in a dramatic fashion. “Soarin, here’s your lovely date this evening.” she said.

“Um… wow, you look--” said Soarin as he watched Skystar exit the RV.

“Enchanting?” asked Rarity.

“I was going to say beautiful, but that works.” answered Soarin.

Skystar bushed a little. “Thanks.” she said.

Soarin held out his hand and took her to his car.
“You kids have fun.” called Sunset, as Soarin & Skystar got in his car.

Soarin took Skystar to a seafood restaurant. They got an outside table because it was a very nice night.
“What will be having?” asked a waitress.

“I have the fish sandwich meal & a cherry soda.” answered Soarin.

“Miss?” said the waitress.

“What’s a plant burger?” asked Skystar.

“It’s a burger with kelp in it on a plant made bun.” answered the Waitress.

“I’ll take that.” said Skystar.

“Drink?” said the waitress.

“Oh yeah, um a strawberry soda.” said Skystar.

“Okay, um both meals have fries on the side. Would you both want your own side of fries or one big plate of fries?” asked the waitress.

“I don’t mind sharing, you?” asked Soarin.

“No, that’ll be fine.” answered Skystar.

“Alright, it’ll be out soon.” said the waitress and she left.

“I hope this place is okay.” said Soarin.

“No, it's perfectly fine, i’m not picky.” said Skystar.

“Great, because I was worried.” said Soarin.

“You don’t strike me as worried, I figured with what Dash told me, worried wasn’t you.” said Skystar.

“What did Dash say?” asked Soarin.

“That you were confident, a nice guy and bit of a showboat.” answered Skystar.

“That’s only when I do sports and around my friends, this kinda makes me nervous.” said Soarin.

“Well I’m really nervous too.” said Skystar.

“Here’s your drinks.” said the waitress, setting them on the table.

“Thanks.” said Skystar.

“Food will be about 20 minutes.” said the Waitress.

“Thank you.” said Soarin and the waitress left.

“What sports do you play?” asked Skystar.

“I’m on the soccer team with Dash and I also play baseball.” said Soarin.

“Cool.” said Skystar.

“What about you?” asked Soarin.

“I don’t play anything.” answered Skystar.

“How do you know Sunset & the others?” asked Soarin.

“Myself & Silverstream have known Sunset for a little bit. Mine & Sunset’s moms are friends and that’s how we met.” answered Skystar.

“Where do you go to school?” asked Soarin.

“Home schooled.” answered Skystar.

“What grade?” asked Soarin.

“Final year.” answered Skystar.

“Home come you’re not in public school?” asked Soarin.

“My mom wanted me to focus on school, because I go off and wonder about. So she hired the best teachers for me.” answered Skystar.

“So your mom’s kinda controlling?” asked Soarin.

“Oh yeah, she wants me to take over for her when she steps down. That’s another reason for homeschooling.” answered Skystar.

“She’s a hard woman to please then.” said Soarin.

“Yeah, that’s one of the reasons why I was very nervous to be here.” said Skystar.

“Mom’s gotta approve of the boyfriend.” Soarin chuckled.

Skystar put her hair in her face. “This is also my first date.” she said.

“Oh!.” said Soarin, he moved her hair away. “It’s the same for me.” he added.

“That makes me feel better.” said Skystar.

Dinner went well, afterwards they went through the shops next to the beach and then went for a walk on the beach, other People had gathered for a fireworks show on the beach.
“Tonight was great.” said Skystar.

“I’m glad I made it great.” said Soarin.

“It was nice to have fun & relax, I don't get a lot of those.” said Skystar.

“Hopefully we can have more nights like this.” said Soarin.

“I would love that.” said Skystar.

“That’s a relief.” said Soarin.

“I see the others over there.” said Skystar pointing to where her cousin & the rainbooms were.

Soarin pulled a red box from his pocket. “Before you go, when we were going through the shops I found this.” he said, it was a small silver hairband that sparkled with small blue butterfly wings on the sides of it.

“It’s lovely, thank you.” said Skystar and she put on the hairband.

They continued walking and started holding hands, the fireworks then started. The fireworks were multiple bright colors, the crowd reacted with cheers, oohs & awess. Soarin & Skystar looked at each other, they moved in slowly and did a quick kiss.

Skystar smiled and they continued to watch the firework show, when it ended they walked to Rarity’s RV.
“So did we have fun?” asked Sunset as the others walked up.

“Yeah.” answered Skystar.

“See you tomorrow.” said Soarin.

“Yes.” said Skystar.

Skystar smiled big and excitedly waved as he drove off.
“So what happened?” asked Rarity.

“Just had a fun night.” answered Skystar.

“Did he buy you that hairband?” asked Twilight.

“Yes.” answered Skystar.

“Anything else happen?” asked Applejack.

“Nothing much.” answered Skystar and she entered the RV.

The next morning Skystar woke up with a spring in her step.”Morning.” she said.

“Sleep well?” asked Silverstream.

“Yes I did.” answered Skystar.

“What else happened between you?” asked Fluttershy.

“We went through a few of the shops, that’s when he got me the hairband, we walked on the beach, held hands a little and we had a small insignificant quick kiss.” answered Skystar.

“WHAT! You kissed a guy you only know for a day?” said Silverstream.

“During the fireworks show, there was a moment and it just happened.” said Skystar.

“Soarin’s a good guy, they know him.” said Skystar.

Silverstream sighed. “What are you going to do, when we have to go back?” she asked.

Skystar’s happiness instantly became deflated as realization hit her, she sat on the couch next to Twilight & put her head in her hands.
“I completely forgot about that.” said Skystar.

“What are you going to tell him?” asked Silverstream.

“I don’t know.” said Skystar.

“Soarin, Flash and everyone at our school knows I’m from a different world.” said Sunset.

Skystar lifted her head up. “Really?” she said.

“Yeah, they know about magic & stuff.” answered Sunset.

“That makes it easier.” said Skystar.

“He’ll be okay with it.” said Pinkie.

“But I don’t think my mom will let me have a world distance relationship.” said Skystar.

“It’ll be alright.” said Twilight.

“What if…” said Skystar.

“If what?” asked Silverstream.

“If i just stayed here.” said Skystar.

“You’re the princess of Sequestria!” said Silverstream.

“But this place is wonderful, I don’t have to worry about the stress of being royalty, I can just relax and be myself without judgment.” said Skystar.

“Your mom won’t let that happen.” said Silverstream.

“I know.” said Skystar.

The girls went out for breakfast on the pier & on the other side were Flash, Thunderlane, Sandalwood & Soarin at another restaurant.
“Hey Soarin there’s Skystar.” said Flash.

“Excuse me boys.” said Soarin.

“So we’ve been replaced?” said Thunderlane jokingly.

“Shut up.” said Soarin, throwing a piece of cheese at Thunderlane.

Skystar was twirling her fork around in her food, while holding her head in her hand thinking about leaving this world.
“We need time to practice our mermaid powers.” said Pinkie.

“But when & where?” asked Twilight.

“Hmm…..good question.” answered Pinkie.

Pinkie put her hand on her pancake, zapped it which charred it. The lights in the restaurant also flickered from this.
“Pinkie.” said Twilight.

“Come’on, you know I’m right.” said Pinkie.

“She’s got a point.” said Sunset.

Rarity grabbed her glass and froze the water in it, Fluttershy made her water bubble & Sunset put a finger on the ice in Rarity’s glass and turned it back to water.

Soarin got to their table, touched Skystar’s shoulder. “Hi.” he said.

Skystar jumped a little. “What? Oh hi.” she said.

“Ladies can I borrow her?” asked Soarin.

“Go ahead.” said Sunset.

Soarin & Skystar walked to the end of the pier and found a spot where they could be alone.
“Glad you found me, because I was wanting to tell you-” started Skystar.

“That you’re from the same world as Sunset.” said Soarin.

“How did you?” asked Skystar.

“After I returned to the beach house where myself & the boys are staying, I thought about you saying your's & Sunset’s mothers are friends. Since I know Sunset’s from another world I realized the only way your mothers can be friends is if you're from the same world.” answered Soarin.

“Oh, good detection.” said Skystar.

“Why didn’t you tell me?” said Soarin.

“My mom’s the Queen of this place called Seaquestria, which obviously makes me a princess and there’ve been a number of Seaquestrians who’ve tried to be with me because I'm royalty. It was just nice getting to meet someone and have my first date with someone who didn’t know that.” answered Skystar.

“Wow.” said Soarin, taken back.

“You okay?” asked Skystar.

“Yeah it’s surprising that I went on a date with a princess.” chuckled Soarin.

“I got some sad news.” said Skystar.

“Which is?” asked Soarin.

“I’m going to have to return home.” answered Skystar.

“But you could still come back right?” asked Soarin.

“I don’t know, since I'm my mother’s only kid, there’s a strong chance she won’t let me.” answered Skystar.

“That sucks.” said Soarin.

“It does.” Skystar put her arms & head on the railing. “I know this is only day 2 of us knowing each other, but I like you & I want to keep seeing you and the girls.” she said.

Soarin rubbed her back. “We still got time until you have to leave.” he said.

“Yeah.” said Skystar.

“What’s Seaquestria?” asked Soarin.

“Um… do you want to go for a swim?” asked Skystar.

“Okay.” said Soarin, confused.
They went back to the RV, so Skystar could change into a bikini & Soarin grabbed his swim trunks from his car. 

After they got changed they headed to the water. “This is an answer to your last question.” said Skystar.

They walked into the water and when it got deep enough, her legs became her tail.

“You’re a mermaid?” asked Soarin.

“Yes, Seaquestrians are sea creatures from the underwater city of Seaquestria. Our tails turn into legs when we go on land and in this world I’m a mermaid.” answered Skystar.

“Can we dive?” asked Soarin.

Skystar smiled, they two dived down to 60 meters before coming back up because he needed air. The dolphins from the other day were excited to see one of their mermaid friends and played with the two.

Back on the pier Flash, Thunderlane & Sandalwood had finished their breakfast and where looking all over for Soarin.
“Hey Boys.” said Rarity when the girls spotted them.

“Have you seen Soarin & Skystar anywhere?” asked Flash.

“They walked towards the front of the pier.” answered Sunset, leading the group to the front.

They obviously didn’t find them at the front of the pier, but Sunset looked down at the water and barely saw Skystar’s tailfins.
“Where are they?” Thunderlane wondered.

“Um I think they’re swimming.” answered Sunset.

“What?” said Twilight.

“Something wrong?” asked Flash.

“No nothing.” answered Fluttershy.

“Let’s go and join them.” said Sandalwood.

“Wait.” said Rainbow.

“What?” asked Flash.

“You boys are in for a surprise.” said Sunset.

When they all got changed into their swimwear, they walked into the ocean and the girls' tails were revealed, shocking all the boys.

“What the heck?” said Flash.

“Told you.” said Sunset.

“When did this happen?” asked Flash.

“Tell you when we get to them.” answered Sunset.

Skystar & Soarin were holding hands while swimming, they stopped when the others found them and like the other guys, Soarin was shocked to see the other mermaids.

They all went to the surface. “What’s going on?” asked Soarin.

“A couple of days ago Fluttershy found a shard of a magical pearl from mine, Skystar & Silverstream’s world that turned us into mermaids like Skystar & Silverstream.” answered Pinkie.

“Whoa, your girlfriend’s a mermaid.” said Sandalwood.

“Mermaid Princess to be exact.” blushed Skystar.

“Well, hello your highness, wait do we have to do the bow thing?” said Sandalwood.

Skystar laughed. “No.” she said.

“Good because I was confused on how to do that in the ocean.” said Sandalwood.

“The seven of us also have mermaid powers.” said Pinkie.

“You do?” asked Thunderlane.

“Yup.” said Pinkie & the rainbooms each showed off their mermaid powers.

“Those aren’t exactly mermaid powers.” said Silverstream.

“They’re not?” asked Soarin.

“No, are geodes added them when they reacted to that pearl shard.” answered Applejack.

“Where is this pearl shard?” asked Thunderlane.

“Back home with my mom.” answered Skystar.

“We were worried that if others found out about the pearl shard, people would want tails of their own.” said Twilight.

“Smart choice.” said Flash.

“Can we get back to swimming now?” asked Rainbow, making eyes roll.

In Sequestria there is a vault that has a trident inside, the trident is light blue with small golden jewels in each of its three spears & a large golden jewel in the middle of the middle spear and top of the staff. A purple seamare with green eyes, purple tail, yellow mane & yellow back & tail fins had knocked out the guards to the vault; she had a black ring with a green jewel on her arm fin. 

She pointed the ring at the vault, the green jewel let out a green ball of energy which opened the vault and set off an alarm. The seamare grabbed the trident and swam away as fast as she could, more guards were quickly on the scene and using silver spears with blue jewels, they made strong currents appear and surrounded the purple seamare.

The purple seamare lit up the trident and made a sea current of her own and it clashed which made a violent big ocean current. It made the seamare drop the trident and the current took the trident into the underwater cave and into its portal.

“NO!” yelled the purple seamare. she swam after the trident, but had difficulty with the current.

In the human world ocean the geodes of the rainbooms lit up making them stop swimming. They all went to investigate, Skystar saw the faint gold light coming from the trident and was very surprised to see it.

Skystar grabbed the trident and the group found a secluded spot for them to talk, they sat on the rockbed getting hit by waves.
“Is it okay to leave your tails out in the open?” Sandalwood asked the girls.

“It looks safe.” answered Sunset.

“What’s that trident?” asked Flash.

“It’s from my home, it was used by this Seamare named Calypso. She tried to take over Seaquestria once, but my mother was able to stop her. Her trident was supposed to be locked in a vault.” answered Skystar.

“How did it get here?” asked Thunderlane.

“There’s a underwater cave that has a portal which connects to our world.” answered Silverstream.

“That sounds dangerous.” said Flash.

“The cave is 150 meters down in the Ocean.” said Sunset.

“So it’s difficult for people to find it.” said Fluttershy.

The purple seamare had found the underwater cave, the portal opened up, making her back away. She could see Guards in the distance, so she swam into the portal. The seamare was surprised when she gained a human/mermaid form. Her mane became long yellow hair, she had a yellow bikini top on her chest, but she was a little relieved that her tail remained the same.

She swam, noticing the human ocean wasn’t that much different from her own. After 30 minutes she went to the surface.

“Where is the stupid trident.” she angrily yelled at her ring.

A small black dot then appeared on the top of the jewel, it blinked and pointed her in that direction. 

The purple mermaid found the others. “Those things have tails too? Are they like me?” she said to herself.

“We should get back to figure this out.” said Sunset.

The rainboom group started moving towards the ocean, the purple mermaid lit her ring and made herself invisible. She followed the group back to the beach, after checking that the coast was clear, the rainboom mermaids turned their tails back into legs and the group walked to Rarity’s RV.

The purple mermaid made her legs appear, she had a yellow bikini bottom appear with her human legs. She was still invisible, as she tried to walk, she stumbled and fell to the ground, and a couple of kids tripped over her. 
“What happened?” said one kid.

“I thought I tripped over something.” said the second kid.

The purple mermaid used her ring to make air blow them down as they ran back. The purple mermaid stood next to the door of the RV, listening to the conversation.
“I’ve messaged Princess Twilight about the Trident.” said Sunset

“What do we do with it?” asked Soarin.

“Keep it in here, it’s too dangerous in the wrong hands.” said Skystar.

“Soon to be in my hands.” said the purple mermaid to herself.

“What exactly can the trident do, Skystar?” asked Twilight.

“Princess Skystar!” said the purple mermaid to herself.

“The Trident can control water, shoot lighting, duplicate the user, make the user invisible, make an energy shield around the user and fire energy beams from its spears.” answered Skystar.

Sunset’s journal vibrated. “Princess Twilight wrote back saying Queen Novo’s guards said there was a purple seamare that opened the vault to the trident and tried to escape with it. But the seamare dropped the trident when she made a current and it ended up in your world. The guards couldn’t find the seamare, so Queen Novo & myself are urging you to keep an eye out for the seamare if she finds the cave portal.” said Sunset.

“So we have a dangerous seaquestrian on our hands?” asked Applejack.

“Looks like it.” Rarity.

“So much for a fun vacation.” said Rainbow.

The geodes started to glow fainty & so did the purple mermaid's ring.
"What are you doing?" The Purple Mermaid asked her ring.

"Are the geodes reacting to the Trident?" asked Soarin.

"The trident's not glowing." answered Fluttershy.

"Then it's something else." said Sunset.

"What now?" groaned Twilight.

Sunset got up and went to the door, the purple mermaid ran. Sunset opened the door and didn't see anyone. The purple mermaid got far enough away to where her ring and their geodes stopped glowing.

"So what happened to that Calypso person?" asked Applejack.

"When Calypso tried using the full power of the trident, she fired it at my mom who used one of the energy spears that we use to protect ourselves from enemies. 
the energy from the trident collided with the energy from mom's spear and the energy backfied hitting Calypso, which killed her." answered Skystar.

"Dang." said Sandalwood.

"It took my mom a little while to get past it." said Skystar

"Hopefully we can avoid that with this seamare." said Sunset.

"I don't wanna have to use this thing." said Skystar.

Soarin put a hand around Skystar. "It'll be alright." he said.

“I didn’t see anyone out there.” said Sunset.

“If that Seaquestrian was the cause of our geodes glowing then she knows where we & the trident are.” said Rarity.

“What do we do?” asked Fluttershy.

“How about joining us at the beach house we’ve rented.” said Flash.

“Really?” asked Sunset.

“Yeah, some of us will have to share rooms. But If what Rare said was true then we should move you girls & the trident to another place until we catch her.” answered Flash.

“Thank you.” said Sunset.

The purple mermaid ran into a clothes shop, she walked around invisible looking at the clothes. She found a spot to turn visible, she took a yellow top, blue shorts, blue shoes, white socks, purple bra & purple underwear and went into the changing room, put them on, ripped off the tags, turned back invisible, took a plastic bag for her bikini and left.

Once she was far enough away from the store, she found another spot to carefully reveal herself.
“Damn, so they know when I’m close! Calm yourself Nixie, I just have to break into where they’re staying and steal the trident.” Nixie said to herself.

In Seaquestria the guards were searching all over for the seamare. Queen Novo was staring at the broken vault. 
“Your highness we haven’t found the Trident or the attempted thief.” said a male Seaquestrian guard.

“But we won’t stop until we find them.” said a female Seaquestrian guard.

“Thank you, continue your search and please don’t strain yourselves.” said Queen Novo.

“Yes your highness & don’t worry we won't.” said the female Seaquestrian guard.

“I have a feeling of where they are.” Queen Novo said to herself.

The beach house the boys rented was large, it had 8 rooms & 3 bathrooms, the ones sharing rooms were Sunset & Flash, Sandalwood & Thunderlane, Rarity & AJ, Skystar & Silverstream and Flutters & Rainbow, Twilight, Soarin & Pinkie got their own rooms.

The Trident was in the living room, Skystar & Silverstream were sitting on the couch; the Trident was in a corner of the room and Skystar was just staring at it.

“Stop obsessing over it.” said Silverstream.

“It’s intimidating.” said Skystar.

“It’s only intimidating if you allow it to be.” said Silverstream.

Skystar went to grab the Trident and its jewels lit up when she got close to it.
“I feel so much power.” said Skystar.

The Trident got brighter and yellow sparks started coming from its spears.
“Okay Skystar, that's enough.” said Silverstream.

“I could probably find that seamare using this, deal with her and anyone that stands in my way.” said Skystar.

“SKYSTAR!” yelled Silverstream.

Skystar snapped back, the Trident’s jewels stopped glowing & its sparks went away.
“What’s going on?” asked Rarity.

Skystar looked back at everyone else, she leant the Trident back against the wall and walked away from it.
“Okay your right, it’s intimidating.” said Silverstream.

“It was in control, sorry for scaring you.” said Skystar.

“What are we going to do with that thing?” wondered Fluttershy.

Rainbow’s stomach growled. “I know we have an important job, but could we go get some lunch?” she asked.
“We have to go searching for this thief anyway, might as well do it on a full stomach.” said Sunset.

Nixie meanwhile was sitting on the beach, watching the people. She saw a few people surfing, she smiled to herself and used her ring to make the waves crash on the surfers, knocking them off their boards.
“These beings make fun test subjects.” said Nixie.

“Hey our geodes are glowing.” said Twilight, as the group walked back to the pier.

“Split up & be careful, this thief must have some magical artifact that the geodes are sensing.” said Sunset.

They split into three groups: Sunset, Twilight, Fluttershy, Flash & Thunderlane as a group. 
Pinkie, Sandalwood, AJ & Rarity as the second group and then Skystar, Silverstream, Soarin & Rainbow as the third group.

Nixie noticed her ring was lighting up, she turned and saw Skystar, Silverstream, Soarin & Rainbow getting close, Nixie put her ring in her pocket.

“Are we close?” Skystar asked.

“Can’t tell, not like it can talk.” answered Rainbow.

Nixie slowly got up and walked away. “Hey wait.” Rainbow whispered.

“Her?” asked Soarin, pointing at Nixie.

“The thief was a purple seamare.” said Silverstream.

Rainbow took off her necklace, pointed it in Nixie’s direction and the geode got brighter.
“That’s her.” said Rainbow.

Nixie looked back, saw the four following her, put her ring back on and used air to knock them down.
“Where’s the trident?” Nixie asked her ring, and the black spot showed her the way.

Rainbow texted the others that they found the thief, Rainbow turned on her speed and chased Nixie. 
“Not so fast.” said Rainbow, grabbing Nixie’s arm.

“You’re quick, so can’t have you stopping me.” said Nixie.

“What are you going to do?” chuckled Rainbow.
Nixie used her ring and encased Rainbow’s legs in ice. “That good enough?” smirked Nixie and she continued towards the trident.

“Yea that’ll do it.” sighed Rainbow.

“Dash.” said Soarin as the other three caught up.

“Don’t worry, Sunset can thaw me out, get her.” said Rainbow.

Nixie opened the beach house door with air and grinned when she saw the trident.
“Finally!” she cheered when she grabbed the Trident.

“Put it down!” yelled Skystar.

“No Princess, this is my birthright.” said Nixie.

“You’re Calypso’s daughter?” asked Silverstream.

“Yes, I'm Nixie.” answered Nixie.

“Nixie, just calm down & give me the trident.” said Skystar, approaching cautiously.

“No!” said Nixie.

Nixie pushed the other four out of the house, with a big air current.
“Holy smokes.” said Pinkie when the rest arrived.

Sunset conjured a large fireball and threw it at Nixie. Nixie made an energy shield appear to block it.
“Who are you!” thundered Sunset.

“Calypso’s daughter Nixie.” groaned Skystar as she got up.

“Perfect revenge for my mother, is taking care of her killer’s daughter.” said Nixie.

“My mom didn’t mean to kill your mom. It was an accident, the energy from the Trident backfield on her.” said Skystar. 

Nixie made three duplicates of herself. “Nice try princess.” said the Nixies.

The Nixies fired energy from their tridents at the group, and Rarity made a diamond shield around them. 
“Hurry! I can’t hold this forever.” grunted Rarity.

Rainbow glowed in multiple colors, and Rare opened a hole for Dash to run through. 
“You’re really going to try that again.” asked the Nixies.

Rainbow jumped and when she landed, she clapped her hands and made a big wave of air which collided with energy from the tridents & it pushed the Nixies to the ground and made the duplicates disappear.

Before Rainbow could get running again, Nixie blasted Dash with ice, freezing her.
“DASH!” yelled Fluttershy.

“Now that she’s out of the way, we’re were we?” said Nixie getting up.

The large clouds formed in the air. Pinkie then flew up in the air, blue electricity coming off her body, her eyes were a bright solid blue. Pinkie blasted Nixie with a large amount of electricity; Nixie blocked it with an energy shield.

Pinkie’s electricity made the clouds get darker and made loud thunder booms. People ran for cover, as heavy rain started failing.

Nixie didn’t notice the Rain drops around her stop, she was then engulfed in a large water bubble, suspending her in the air & forcing her into her mermaid form.

“AHHHHHH!!” yelled Nixie, she saw Fluttershy’s eyes glowing a solid pink and pink aura around her hands.

Sunset thawed out Dash, “You alright?” asked Sunset.

“C-c-c-cold.” said Rainbow, sitting down.

Sunset wrapped her arms around Rainbow and heated her up. Nixie tried to fire an energy beam at Fluttershy, but Pinkie zapped the water bubble before she could.

“OWW!!” groaned Nixie when she got zapped.

Nixie dropped the Trident and Twilight brought the Trident to them with her magic. Skystar grabbed the trident, Fluttershy dropped Nixie and she hit the ground with a painful thud & turned back to her human form.

Nixie was levitated by Twilight, Skystar took a deep breath and used the trident to encase Nixie’s legs in Ice.

Twilight took Nixie’s ring with her magic.
“So are you going to follow in your mother’s footsteps?” asked Nixie.

“No! It’s over.” said Skystar.

Soon Queen Novo arrived with a few of her guards.
“You all did a wonderful job.” said Queen Novo.

“Thanks.” said Sunset.

“Catching bad guys is our specialty.” said Rainbow.

“Mom can I stay here?” asked Skystar.

“Why?” asked Queen Novo.

“I’ve just had a lot of fun here & umm..” answered Skystar.

Queen Novo looked at Soarin and saw him look away. “I see, I request that you please come and visit me.” said Novo.

“Does that mean yes?” Skystar smiled.

“Yes.” said Queen Novo & Skystar hugged her mother.

Skystar broke the hug. “Here’s the Trident back.” she said.

“I think it’ll be safer with all of you.” said Queen Novo.

Queen Novo & Guards then walked to the ocean with Nixie in handcuffs.
“I was very depressed & full of guilt when your mother died.” Queen Novo said to Nixie.

Nixie looked down as they went into the ocean & back to seaquestria.
“Now about lunch.” said Rainbow, making the rest laugh.

“Alright.” chuckled Sunset, they went to get food and enjoy the rest of their vacation.
