She gasped, seeing Snips’s hand clamped over Spike’s mouth. Spike was wriggling, struggling to break free. “That’s close enough!” snarled a female voice. Twilight gasped, as Sunset Shimmer appeared from behind the portal, holding a sledgehammer. She saw Sunset’s belly was bloated, and she was struggling herself. But Twilight could see in her eyes that she would not give up and that even if it risked her health, she’d take that crown from her. “Twilight!” cried Spike. Twilight glared at Sunset. “Don’t hurt him!” Sunset’s lip curled. “Oh, I wouldn’t dream of it!” she sneered sarcastically. “I’m not a monster Twilight.” She turned to her two cronies, Snips and Snails. “Let him go.” Snips dropped Spike. He trotted into Twilight’s arms. She hugged him. Sunset turned to Twilight. “You don’t belong here. Give me that crown, and you can go home tonight. Or keep it and never. Go. Home. So, what's your answer?” “No,” replied Twilight. “Are you fucking kidding me?” shouted Sunset. “You are going to leave your friends behind?!” “Yes,” said Twilight. “I am. They can survive without my element of harmony. If I let it fall into your hands, this place might not. So go ahead. Destroy the portal. You are not getting this crown!” Sunset snarled, then sighed. “Fine. You win.” She put her hand to her stomach. She winced. “You... are... so AWESOME!” shouted Rainbow Dash, as the girls began to crowd around Twilight, talking at once. “It’s no wonder she’s a real live princess!” cried Rarity. “Oh yes,” sneered Sunset. “She’s so very special.” She turned to her 2 goons, as Spike snatched Twilight’s crown. “GRAB HIM, YOU FOOLS!” Snips and Snails looked at each other dumbly, then realising she had a mission, they ran after Spike. Spike was too fast for them. Spike threw the crown to Rainbow Dash. Rainbow Dash threw it to the girls. The crown went through Applejack’s lasso, towards Twilight, who fumbled with it, accidentally throwing it into Sunset Shimmer’s greedy hands. “I’ll take that!” she cried. She laughed evilly. “At last, more power than I could ever imagine!” A jet of blue light engulfed the pregnant woman as she was lifted into the air. Sunset threw her hands over her head, yelling in pain. She was crying, as she began to transform into a she-demon. She cackled. She flexed her claws as she shot a ball of magic at Snips and Snails, turning them into demons. Students screamed. “I've had to jump through so many hoops tonight just to get my hands on this crown, and it really should have been mine all along!” She growled menacingly. “But let's let bygones be bygones. I am your princess now, and you will be loyal... to me!” She then used magic to remove the bricks with her fist. She then entered the demolished school, turning all the students into zombies. Flash’s eyes were glazed with cyan, as he searched for Twilight. “Round them up and bring them to the portal,” she commanded, flapping her bat-like blood-red wings. She flew towards Twilight and the girls. “Spoiler alert: I was bluffing when I said I was going to destroy the portal. I don't want to rule this pathetic little high school; I want Equestria! And with my own little teenage army behind me, I am going to get it!” “No, you’re not!” shouted Twilight. “Oh, please! What exactly do you think you're going to do to stop me? I have magic, and you have nothing!” laughed Sunset. Rainbow Dash stepped forward, the wind blowing in her multi-coloured hair. “She has us!” Sunset laughed mockingly. “SHE!” she cried, wiping her eyes. “Gee, the gang really is all back together! Now, step aside. Twilight has interfered with my plans one too many times already! She needs to be dealt with!” She shot a golden ball of magic at Twilight. The 5 girls covered her. But the girls turned pink. “ The magic contained in my Element was able to unite with those that helped create it!” cried Twilight, as she and the girls ponied up. “Honesty! Kindness! Laughter! Generosity! Loyalty! Magic!” she cried, each element echoing. “Together with a crown, they create a power beyond anything you could imagine, but it is a power you don't have the ability to control! The crown may be upon your head, Sunset Shimmer, but you cannot wield it, because you do not possess the most powerful magic of all: the magic of friendship!” A jet of rainbows hit Sunset in the back. Sunset let out a roar, of pain. “Here and in Equestria, it is the only magic that can truly unite us all!” cried Twilight. Twilight looked down at the pit. Sunset had transformed back into a human girl. She was on her side, her long red-gold hair over her face. Flash hurried to the edge of the pit. “Sunset!” cried Flash. Sunset turned, her eyes wide with pain. She let out a cry of labour. Flash hurried into the pit. “Sunset,” he said. “Sunset, are you okay?” Flash knelt by her. “Come on,” he said. “Come on! The baby!” Fluttershy gasped, hurrying inside. “Flash, I’ll take it from here,” she said quietly. “Fluttershy,” whispered Sunset. “I’m sorry, okay.” She spoke louder. “I’m sorry, all of you. I- I didn’t know. I was angry, I guess. Flash raped me. And tortured me. I wanted to take over another world.” “You’re forgiven,” said Fluttershy. “Now, listen to me, I need you to relax and push.” After Sunset gave birth to a set of beautiful twins(both girls), she collapsed. “Flash, you have to name them!” cried Fluttershy desperately. “Rose and Lily,” said Flash quietly. “Look at me, Sunset! Look at me! You’re okay!” She moaned. Fluttershy removed Sunset’s leather jacket. Her magenta top was blood-stained. Twilight went inside the pit. “Sunset, please!” begged Flash. Sunset groaned. “My back,” she whispered. “Ow...” She collapsed, her cyan eyes closing. Flash brushed her hair out of her face. Sunset reached out to touch his face. Flash smiled. “Hey,” he said. “It’s gonna be okay. I promise.” Sunset sighed. “I know,” she said. “At least I got to see you one last time.” “Don’t say that!” cried Flash. “You’ll be okay, you’ll see. I know we’ve split up. I know we’ve had our arguments, but you know, I think it’s time. We need to talk. Just the two of us.” “No... No... not yet,” said Sunset weakly, coughing. “I’m not ready. Neither are you. We should wait. Wait until we know if I’m okay. We should just... just give this time. You love her anyway. Twilight. She deserves you. You deserve her. You take her. You don’t need me, Flash. I should... go.” She closed her eyes. She was still. Twilight took off her crown. She placed her crown upon Sunset’s head. A wave of light burst into the sky, as she was lifted into the air. She landed, and her wounds healed. She opened her eyes. > Alternate endings: Rainbow Rocks > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- The Dazzlings had their hands over their heads as the crowd booed and threw rotten food at them. Princess Twilight walked up to them, placing a hand on the leader’s shoulder. Sunset smiled. Adagio looked up. A baby cried. “What’s that?” asked Adagio. “My kids.” she replied. Sunset lifted Rose into her arms. “Hey, sis. Do you wanna hold Lily?” “I’d love to!” shouted Sonata. Sunset lifted Lily into her arms and gave her to Sonata. “She’s super cute!” she screamed. “I know,” replied Sunset. Sonata gave Lily back to Sunset. Sunset smiled. “Wait…,” said Rainbow Dash. “You’re related to these girls?” “They’re my half-sisters,” replied Sunset. “We have the same mother and my father was a pony. I was bitten by a werewolf when I was young.” Princess Twilight looked at the 3 sirens. They looked away. Pinkie went over to Sonata. “Look,” said Pinkie. “We’re a very forgiving group. Shall we invite the Dazzlings in?” “Holy shit,” said Adagio. “No.” “Yes,” said Sonata. Sonata sighed. “I’m my own Siren!” she cried. “Fine,” said Adagio. Adagio and Aria ran off. Sonata squealed as she and Pinkie walked off together. Princess Twilight laughed. “Looks like Pinkie found a new party planner,” she said. Sunset giggled. Flash ran up to them, hugging Princess Twilight. “Rainbooms rule!” he cried. Lily began to cry. “Shh,” said Sunset softly. “It’s okay.” The Rainbooms and Sunset crowded around the portal. Princess Twilight hugged each of the girls in turn. Sunset had tears in her eyes; she had learnt so much from her. Princess Twilight smiled, as she and Spike went through the portal. The girls were in the auditorium, practising their new song. “One! Two! Three!” shouted Pinkie. Once upon a time, you came into my world and made the stars align Now I can see the signs, you pick me up when I get down so I can shine Shine like rainbows Shine like rainbows Friends, you are in my life and you can count on me to be there by your side And when the music comes alive, you sing us songs to lift us up so we can shine And the sound that we hear in our hearts Makes a crescendo And the light that ignites in the dark It makes us all glow And shine like rainbows We shine like rainbows Together we stand As the rain begins to fall And holdin' our heads up high As the sun shines through it all And the sound that we hear in our hearts Makes a crescendo And the light that ignites in the dark It makes us all glow And shine like rainbows We shine like rainbows Shine like rainbows We shine like rainbows We shine like rainbows > Alternate ending: friendship games > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- Sunset looked up in horror, her mouth aghast as she saw the human world Twilight Sparkle get sucked into a magical ball. Twilight reached her hand for help, but none came from her school. Sunset and Flash picked up the twins, both stumbling back. Sunset looked at her ex-boyfriend, then at the transforming Twilight. When the light died down, a demonised Twilight was cackling. The demonised Twilight was creating inter dimensional rips in every nook and cranny she could find. Sunset put down the baby. People slipped into the crannies. Sunset saw the device Twilight was using. She ran towards it, grabbing it. She then held it up, as she realised what she was meant to do. But Sunset was scared. What if she turned into the demon again? What then? She turned back to Flash. “Turn into a werewolf,” he whispered. “I’ll put the pendant around your neck. It’s full moon.” Sunset’s head snapped up, as her eyes were fixated on the full moon in front of her. She felt her clothes rip as brown fur erupted from her body, replacing her skin. Her teeth turned to fangs, her eyes narrowing, her ears more pointed. She felt her hands and feet turn to paws, a tail growing. Finally her height had heightened from 5 ft 4 to 6 ft 4. Sunset howled at the moon, attracting Twilight’s attention. Demonised Twilight laughed. “You!” she cried. “You thought you can defeat me with that?!” “Yes,” said Flash. “Sunset is our best fighter.” He placed the pendant around her neck. Sunset snarled, as she tried to leap up at the demon Twilight. The pendant opened, as the young werewolf was lifted into the air. Flash gasped as each of the 5 girls glowed a certain colour. Orange for Applejack. Purple for Rarity. Pink for Pinkie. Blue for Rainbow Dash and yellow for Fluttershy. Sunset gave a panicked howl as the demon Twilight flew at her, pushing her to the ground. Sunset rubbed her shoulder with her paw. The demon Twilight had begun to rise. Sunset leapt up, shoving the demon Twilight to the ground, pinning her down. The demon Twilight started created a magical ball of deadly magic. Sunset rolled out of the way. “Twilight, don’t do this!” shouted Spike. The demon Twilight looked at him. She diminished the ball. Sunset leapt onto her, the pendant catching on demon Twilight’s hand. A white ball engulfed the 2 monsters, the demonised Twilight shooting another deadly ball at Sunset, hitting her squarely in the chest. A jet of colour enveloping Twilight. Sunset snarled weakly, as she fell back while Twilight began to transform to her human body. As the light died down, Twilight was lying on the floor, her eyes closed. Spike bounded up to her and licked her face. Sunset lay on the floor. Her heart rate had depleted considerably. Flash ran to her side, doing CPR on her. Principal Cinch glared at the students. She took one look at them, then stormed away. Sunset sighed softly, her eyes half closed. Her sight had clouded over, as life began to fade from her. Flash looked up. “Sunset’s about to die!” he shouted. “She needs help!” “There’s nothing we can do,” said Fluttershy. “You’re wrong,” said a voice. Sugarcoat. “We can save her. If Twilight killed her, then she can bring her back.” “I can’t!” protested Twilight. “Her life depends on you!” cried Applejack. “I am alive,” murmured Sunset weakly. “Sunset, hang on!” shouted Flash. Sunset closed her eyes. > Alternate ending: Legend of Everfree > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- Sunset grunted as she and Twilight were struggling against the binds that Gloriosa had put them in. Sunset growled, anger coursing through her veins. Brown fur erupted from her body, her skin shifting to her werewolf form. The ropes binding the young werewolf snapped off her body. Sunset gave a howl, slicing her claw through the ropes binding Twilight and Spike. “How are we gonna get out?” Asked Twilight as she saw the boulder blocking the cave. Sunset gave another howl. Twilight sighed, lifting her hands. Her hands glowed pink, as she moved the boulder. Sunset nodded. She waited for Twilight and Spike to climb onto her back. Then she ran off. Sunset stopped outside a forest of thorns. She growled, ripping the thorns with her teeth. She looked at Twilight with pleading eyes, asking for help. Twilight shook her head. Sunset released her teeth from the thorns, bounding over to Twilight, placing her paws gently on Twilight’s heart. Twilight raised her hands, a pink aura surrounding it. The thorns created a doorway for them. Twilight, Spike and Sunset came through, arrows raining down onto the 3. One was heading towards Twilight. Sunset leapt onto her, one of the arrows impaling the wolf in the chest. Sunset gave an anguished howl, her skin shifting to her human form. Sunset tried to stand, but her knees gave way, as she fell to the ground, her cyan eyes almost devoid of life. Applejack sighed. “Flash,” murmured Sunset. “Flash…” Fluttershy looked up. “We have to get Flash by our side,” she said. “Twi…” muttered Sunset. “Use your powers.” Sunset could feel life slipping from her. Twilight raised her hands, opening a window in the thorns. “Flash!” cried Twilight. “We need you!” Flash ran through the window. Twilight let go. He ran towards Sunset, yanking the arrow out of her chest. He then pressed his hands over her wound. “Twilight, you’re the only one who can stop Gaea Everfree,” said Sunset weakly. “I can’t!” cried Twilight. “Sunset will die if you don’t do it!” yelled Rainbow Dash. “Twi, please!” cried Flash. “I can’t hang on any longer!” shouted Sunset. She sighed, her head wilting like a flower. Sunset gave a small moan, as her vision greyed out. Twilight sighed, using her magic to tear apart the brambles covering Gaea Everfree. 7 gems were released from the tree demon. One for each of the girls. One floated towards Sunset, its powerful aura wrapping around her, healing the young girl magically. Sunset held out her hand, Flash holding her up, as she touched the gem. Each of the 7 girls got a costume change. Flash looked beside himself, his eyes lighting up with joy. He was screaming with happiness, as a jet from each of the gems merged into one, undoing the magic of Gloriosa Daisy. Then green dots of magic were floating. Time passed and everyone was saying their goodbyes. Twilight and Timber were rubbing noses, their hands intertwined with each other. Sunset smiled, as she leaned on Flash. “You know,” said Flash. “Once the bus drops us off, what do you say we go and rekindle our relationship?” “Sounds like a plan,” said Sunset. The students got on the bus. As the bus drove off, The Mane 7 began to sing: Somewhere's a book With chapters still blank Insi-i-ide It's the book of our lives And the story is ours To write Ours to write Some pages fade While others are black And whi-i-ite And the story begins Again every time We try (Every time we try) And hope shines eternal And friends are all I need (All I need) And hope shines eternal (Shines eternal) And the future is always bri-i-i-ight When you're here with me I fought through the darkness And come out the Other si-i-de For rain clouds will clear The way for the Sunny skies For the sunny sky-y-y I've been afraid And stayed through the longest Ni-i-ights But morning still comes And with it, it brings a light Oh, it brings a li-i-ight And hope shines eternal And friends are all I need (Friends are all I need) And hope shines eternal (Shines eternal) And the future is always bri-i-i-ight The future is always bri-i-ight Yeah, the future is always bri-i-i-ight When you're here with me. > Alternate ending: forgotten friendship > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- Sunset ran out into the CHS parking lot, pushing the twins’ pram. “Wallflower?” She cried. “Wallflower, STOP!” Sunset ran in front of a car. Flash. Flash braked suddenly. The girl in front of her turned. “You remember my name? But I thought I remembered erasing the entire afternoon!” Flash gasped from inside the car. The 6 girls were watching. Twilight let out an audible gasp. Sunset turned. “Oh now you’re shocked!” she yelled at her former friends. “You didn’t even try to help me!” “Sunny,” said Pinkie. “Don’t call me that stupid name!” yelled Sunset. Sunset turned to Wallflower. “Wallflower,” she said. “I know how you feel. I used to be popular, sure. But I was lonely too!” Wallflower’s lips curled, a sneer upon her face. “Oh really?” She sneered. “Because I’m not lonely, because I have… PLANTS!” She facepalmed herself. “That sounded less lonely in my head.” “I’m sorry, Wallflower!” Cried Sunset. Wallflower pulled a knife out of her pocket. “No, you’re not!” She shouted. ““What happened if I erased all their memories of high school?” “Do that and I will strangle you with my bare hands,” snarled Sunset. “Too late,” said Wallflower, pointing a green stone which she took out of her pocket, at the 6 girls. Sunset gasped, as a jet of green flew towards them. Sunset ran, as the green jet hit her. Her cyan eyes were wide. Flash got out of the car. Sunset grasped her head. “FLUTTERSHY!” she yelled, grunting. “APPLEJACK! RARITY! PINKIE PIE! RAINBOW DASH!” she screamed, as the memories of the girls flew out of her brain. “TWILIGHT. Don’t forget me!” she turned to Flash. “Flash... look after our twins.” The memories of Twilight, Flash and her twins were erased too. Sunset collapsed, exhausted. Wallflower sniggered, raising the knife over Sunset. She stabbed her, Sunset crying out. She was losing so much blood. Flash walked over to the twins, hushing them. Sunset sighed, her eyes closing gently. Her head moved to one side. Then she was still. Flash fell to his knees, a loud sob tore from his throat. Twilight walked over to Sunset. She held the other girls’ hands, then grasped Sunset’s hand. The geodes glowed, a jet of colour erupting, hitting the memory stone, destroying it. Wallflower stumbled back, as a golden light weaved around Sunset. Twilight smiled, as the wound began to heal. Memories were restored. “Sunset?” whispered Flash. Her eyes fluttered open. “Flash?” she asked. “Sunset!” he cried. He gently helped her sit up, then he pulled her into a bruising, hard kiss. “I love you, babe,” he said. “You and me, against the world.” Sunset smiled. She groaned as she sat up straighter. “I love you, Flash,” she whispered. “I’d never thought I’d say it, but I love you.” Wallflower was sobbing. Fluttershy walked over to the former villain, sitting next to her. “Wallflower,” said Fluttershy. “Listen. I forgive you for your actions. It looks like you need a friend. Well, let’s be friends. We can talk about nature. I’ll come to your gardening club as well. How does that sound?” Wallflower looked up at Fluttershy. “You mean it?” she asked, her mood brightening. “I do,” said Fluttershy. She whistled. A white bunny hopped into Fluttershy’s arms. “Here,” she said. “Holding a bunny always helps me feel better.” Fluttershy held the bunny out to Wallflower. Wallflower took it uncertainly. The bunny nuzzled Wallflower. “Awww,” said Wallflower. “It does make me feel better.”
