*Groan* "What happened?" I said as I opened my eyes, I then looked around and found myself in a study, and on the floor, was a knocked out Fluttershy, his girlfriend. "Fluttershy! Fluttershy, wake up!" I said as I tried to shake her awake. "Israel?" she said as she woke up slowly, but then a loud thunderclap scared her awake and then she clinged to me. "Where are we?" She asked in fear and confusion. "That's what I want to know." I said to her, and then a voice came from the desk. "Hello, hey come over here, Quick there's not much time!" the voice said. We approached the desk and saw a typewriter, I reached out and touched it and the keys started clicking and a face appeared on the page. "I'm R.L. Stinewriter, I mean I'm a writer, darn it, I'm a typewhiner, I mean I'm a Stine, just R.L Stine, a writer, I wrote Goosebumps, you know? Over 400 million in print worldwide, never mind that for now.....Someone has.....something has.......writers block.......so.....horrible. Stine was coughing as if out of breath. "I need.......ink.....look under me......the drawer.......I.......help." Stine said. I opened the drawer and grabbed the ink ribbon and inserted it into the typewriter. "Oh my goodness......whew, wow, much better. Okay, listen. *Door bangs* "Oh no, hide, quickly, under the desk!" He said in a panicked state. We both crouched and hide under the desk, then a small little human like dummy walked right by us. "Ah, the books, the Goosebumps, but just one won't do, this one's fun, always good for a scare." The dummy said as he gave an evil laugh and ran off. After closed the door, we came out from under the desk. "Slappy, released, he must be stopped, I.......we..........you two have got stop him!" Stine said in fear. "How do we do that?" Fluttershy asked. "First, you need to find the book, it's called "Night of the living dummy", I left it over by the Egyptian display." I turned to the left and saw the book in the statue's hands. "We found it." Fluttershy said "Alright, so all you two need to do is......something's wrong.......the book is missing some pages, maybe their over by the fireplace." Stine suggested. We walked over to the fireplace, in front of it was a page. Fluttershy pick it up and I opened the book, and she put the page back in and some weird letters appeared. "You guys need 2 more pages, they are somewhere inside this house, you guys will need a key to get out of the study, it's behind the blue books by the door, unless you can see in the dark, I suggest turning on the lights, the light switch is next to the door." Stine said. Fluttershy and I approach the door, and turned on the lights, we removed the books and found the key. "Great, now just gather up the rest of the pages." Stine said. "Oh boy, I hope we can do this, Are you ready, Fluttershy?" I asked. "I think so" Fluttershy said still a bit scared. "Then let's do this thing! I said in bravery.
As we open the door to look for the rest of the missing pages, we saw evil dummy in front of us, and Fluttershy hid behind me.
"I don't want to scare you two, but if you guys see or anything strange, HIDE!" Stine told us.
We then stepped out into the hallway and opened the guest bedroom door, inside was a lawn gnome holding a rolled-up piece of paper.
"That lawn gnome is stealing a page, don't just stand there, SMASH HIM!" Stine ordered.
We both ran in and smashed the little pest, we took the page and put it in the book.
"Uh....what's that?" Fluttershy asked while pointing at a burnt up looking book on the floor.
"Hm....looks like a burnt manuscript." I said getting a closer look.
"Attack of the Graveyard Ghouls, anything that crawled out of that book would be hungry" Stine warned.
As we were about to leave the room, we heard a moan from behind the door, and we knew we had to hide, so we hid under the bed.
The door then opened to reveal a woman, but her skin was grey, and she smelled rotten, she had a shirt, a skirt and black shoes.
"That's a Graveyard Ghoul, slow.... but not too smart, just keep a little ahead of her, if she traps you try and hide." Stine explained
We hid under the bed and soon she left.
"That was close" I said as we got up.
We left the room and walked down the hallway, we open the door and found ourselves in the master bedroom, peeking out from under the bed was a page, we took it and put it back in the book.
"You guys did it, you completed the book, now find Slappy and open the book on him!" Stine said happily.
We entered the hallway and turned our heads to see Slappy in the Study.
We ran to the door and we each hid on both sides.
"Just make sure the lights are on when you go after Slappy." Stine said
"Are you ready?" I asked Fluttershy
"Yes" Fluttershy said.
We ran in and got close to Slappy and opened the book. A vortex appeared out of it.
"You guys are trying to put me in that book, well that's not, no no NOOOOOOOOOOO!" Slappy screamed as he got sucked back into the book.
I then slammed the book shut, trapping Slappy, and it was over.
As we woke up, we found ourselves in a familiar room. We were back at the study in Stines house.
"What the, why are we back here, we defeated Slappy already." I said in shock and confused.
"What's the matter? I thought we were gonna be buddies." A familiar voice said, we looked and saw the evil dummy was out again, he ran off downstairs.
"Don't panic, don't panic..........best to trap him again, wait a minute, there's even more pages now, I hope you two can find your way downstairs." Stine said.
"Let's start upstairs first." I said in fear.
"Um...ok" Fluttershy said scared as I was.
We saw a page under the table by the door, we picked it up and heard a familiar sound, we then hid under the table.
The Graveyard Ghoul walked in and looked around for us, and then she left.
We then went out into the hallway and open a door, we found ourselves in the storage closet, inside was another gnome with a page.
We ran and smashed it and took the page, on the floor was another burnt manuscript.
"Revenge of the lawn gnomes, what was I thinking, just smash them as fast as you can" Stine said
We left the closet and entered the master bedroom, by the closet was another page.
"So that's three pages, we are halfway done. I said proudly.
"Yes, let's check downstairs next" Fluttershy said still scared.
We went downstairs and found another burnt manuscript.
"Toy Terror-Batteries included, so long as it's not the Annihilator 3000, we should be fine." Stine said worried.
We were about to enter the Parlor, but on the table in the middle of the room was a small robot.
"Oops, It's the Annihilator 3000, I would stay out of that red beam if I were you." Stine warned
We got on the floor and crawled across the floor.
On the table was another page, thankfully the Annihilator 3000 didn't see us.
We crawled into the dining room, suddenly a yellow gnome came in and turned off the lights, we smashed it, and went under the table, where the next page was.
"We better keep our eyes open for more yellow gnomes." I suggested.
"Yea, we need the lights on to catch Slappy" Fluttershy said.
We got up and entered a hallway, we then found ourselves in the kitchen.
We then checked in the cupboards and found the last page, behind some boxes.
"Alright, so I'm guessing we need to do the same thing as last time? I asked.
"Yes, open the book on him." Stine confirmed.
Slappy ran into the kitchen and laughed.
Just as he was about to run out of the room, I opened the book and the same vortex appeared.
"No, not again!" the evil dummy yelled.
I slammed book shut, trapping the evil dummy once again.
But as soon as we were about leave, a flash of light blinded us both.
