Chapter 1- Big Bugmom Problems

Titans. That was a term that had quickly become the subject of debate extremely quickly among the population of Equestria. Which makes sense considering the recent events that had taken place over the past few weeks. One moment ponies were living their normal lives and committing to their daily routine, the next second they had their lives turned on their heads as one they witnessed individuals grow in size to unimaginable heights, towering over the landscape and towns.

They loomed above all. Mighty, unstoppable, and completely immune to magic. As evidence of what was seen with the colossal noble ponies of the upper class who had become large enough to hold the capitol city of Canterlot in the frog of their hoof, their humongous frames riveling that of the mountain the city had rested on. The elements of harmony, comprising of the six mares that represented a certain attribute acquainted to harmony, had even tried out their signature rainbow laser, their instant win card against the greatly enlarged Blueblood during that instance and it had done little more than tickle the titanic Prince.

The strongest weapon in all of Equestria had been reduced to nothing more than a joke in a span of seconds because of the gigantic ponies’ size and newfound resilience. It’s like comparing a mosquito bite to a shark bite. The former is so small you would bearly notice such a tiny prick on your skin, if at all. In contrast to the latter, whom is much bigger and if it was to bite you, you would definitely notice it.

Of course, with unstoppable power like the ones being presented and viewed for all to see and flaunted around for sport, it would make sense that somepony else would try and get it for themselves. Because after all, we can’t have a nice, quiet day in Equestria can we?

The Princesses still had the royal guards searching through the forest for any sign of the magic spellbook that had caused all this trouble in the first place. First the growth spell had been casted by Blueblood, allowing the ponies of the upper class to grow into giants, and after the spell wore out, it mutated due to it being activated for too long and was automatically cast again. This time shooting into the direction of Ponyville and colliding into Big Macintosh. An adult stallion who was already quite large to begin with. The mutated spell turning him into the largest being alive in all of Equestria in a matter of days, easily outclassing the nobles in size and power. Had he not possessed the loving and caring heart of gold within him, the kingdom would have certainly seen disastrous results from somepony that large. Thankfully everything had eventually returned to normal and after long last, the guards finally found the original campsite where the first growth had taken place.

Only to find it completely void of any magical tome full of size magic.

The guards practically tore the already squashed campsite apart as they despretly tried to locate the missing book. They rifled through the dark and tie-dyed cloaks left behind by the nobles when they originally met up, tore apart the campfire, and even searched the surrounding area three different times.

Nothing.

Where could the book have gone?” Many of them wondered as they completed another search through the forest. Maybe they got lucky, and some wild animals tore it apart and used the remains as nesting or something of the sort. That was the scenario many of them were hoping for. Hoping for the best but expecting the worst. But after more searching and still revealing nothing, they had no choice but to call it quits and return to Canterlot to inform the Princesses of what had transpired. Hoping they would accept the excuse that some wild animals most likely ran off with the lost book and probably tore it up by this point.

But had the royal guards reached the campsite just a little earlier, they would have been there in time to stop the real culprit from making off with the spellbook.

The Queen of the Changelings Chrysalis.

She was currently on route back to her hive as she held the book tightly in her jaws, wincing a little as the book faintly sparked with energy from the wild magic from the growth spell.

At last, I have it!” She thought with glee, her eyes sparkling with mischief as flew over the grassy fields of Equestria “Soon, the ultimate power will be all mine!”

The beautiful green fields of Equestria soon began to vanish as the Changeling Queen continue to fly towards her kingdom. Soon, barren land and rocky planes was all that was visible to the eye as Chrysalis continued to fly south.

She winced again as another stray bolt of arcane magic bit into her cheek as the sight of her hive came into view. Her eyes narrowed as a plan began to formulate in her head.

Landing heavily on the ground at the hive’s entrance, Chrysalis strode forward with a purpose. Emanating power and authority every Queen should have (in her eyes) as she entered the darkened passageways. Almost immediately, she found herself in front of two armored Changelings. Both of them holding spears as they guarded the entrance.

The two of them bowed down deeply at the sight of their ruler returning

“Welcome back your highness,” one of them said

“How was your trip?” the other asked, leaning back up a little as he did so

“It was…quite informative,” Chrysalis replied, the book now suspended in the acid green glow of her magic as she looked it over, soaking in the details and observing the wild magic still present in the tome “But I shall inform the hive later about all that. For now, get me Chip and Chirp. I require their assistance immediately.”

CLANG! CLANG! CLANG! CLANG!

“Almost done!” came a high pitched, joyful voice

“Yay! This has to be one of our best projects yet!” said another voice with excitement

The two voices, belonging to a pair of young Changeling twins named Chip and Chirp, looked on proudly as they continued assembling a large machine they had been tasked to work on by their mother, Queen Chrysalis.

Chip and Chirp were young among the ranks of the Changelings. Still hatchlings in fact. If compared to ponies and their ages, they would be around the same age as the fillies known as the cutie mark crusaders. But they never let their age slow them down in the hustle and bustle of the hive. Because among all of them, the two twins were easily some of the smartest creative minds in the entire hive. Ever since they were young, they had a knack for putting things together.

Chip was the older one of the twins by about twenty seconds after he had hatched. The little changeling looked like most of the other grubs in the nursery though he was born with a deformity in his left wing. Leaving it bent in an odd angle which unfortunately rendered him mostly flightless, though he was able to maneuver in the air for only a brief time period. Though he never let that stop him from having a positive outlook on life nor did that sully his always cheerful attitude.

Chirp was the youngest of the twins. Like his brother he was born in the nursery and shared many of the characteristics of the other changeling hatchlings. But unlike his brother, he did not possess the ability to fly, having to rely on his older brother carrying him in order for his hooves to leave the ground. But instead of his left wing being bent, it was his right wing. Chirp usually was the more silent of the two. It was no secret that he was a little shy around others, not unlike Fluttershy, though that wouldn’t stop him from having a conversation with another when prompted.

Queen Chrysalis usually kept them away from the usual activities of the hive because of their lack of mobility in their wings. Meaning that they can never get a role in the hive like an infiltrator or warrior. But, their mother had found other uses for their talents. Allowing them to continue to tinker away to their hearts content while she sporadically came to check up on them.

Chrysalis had come to them just a little while ago after she had returned from her journey to the pony lands with a strange book she had recovered. She said she would get into the details later but she needed them to find a way to siphon off the energy and magic being created by the book and stabilize it. So that way, the spells inside the book would be safe to use. A task that the two brainy hatchlings were eager to begin working on.

They pulled another large plate of metal from the scrap heap of various odds and ends they left in a corner. Machine parts they had both made themselves and some of it taken from pony civilization.

And what was it they were constructing you ask? They were constructing a ray gun, under the stern and watchful eyes of their mother and Queen.

Saying the last few weeks have been eventful at the hive and in the kingdom of Equestria was a complete understatement to say the least. Changeling spies posted all around pony towns and cities sent frantic reports back to the hive of ponies growing into gigantic titans. This news alone had stirred the hive into a frenzy. Things had eventually settled down after the growth spell had cancelled itself out on the Canterlot ponies who had become huge, leaving the changeling to believe this was some freak, onetime event. Only for the alarm to arise again as the changlings in the hive gave witness to another one of those pony Titans. Once so big he could be seen from the hive. And this had once again stirred things into a panic. The Changelings all had questions of how this happened and what this meant for the hive going forward.

Queen Chrysalis was determined to get answers, both for herself and for the wellbeing of her hive. So, at the first chance she got, she infiltrated Canterlot Castle herself, disguised as a maid and personally went to interrogate Prince Blueblood. One of the ponies that had first become a Titan.

The process was simple if she was being honest. Why, the dolt was even easier to put under mind control then Shining Armor was! “Not much going on in that empty head of yours,” Chrysalis had thought with a snicker as she finished putting Blueblood under her control. There was practically no resistance from him whatsoever. Though that did make sense considering she had ambushed Blueblood in his sleeping quarters. Apparently, he still slept with a teddy bear.

Once under her influence, Blueblood pretty much told her all she needed to know; Beginning with how he and his fellow nobles (with the exception of a Ms. Sturdy Step) all felt like they were being snubbed by the Princesses because they wouldn’t give them extra benefits for trivial things, so, in some insane attempt to get their attention and force their hoof, they all used an incomplete growth spell in a book that Blueblood had stolen from the restricted section of the royal library, grew into titans, and personally made their demands.

However, before they could get what they wanted the spell had worn off and they all reverted to their natural sizes and punished. Blueblood and his cohorts all had gotten scolded by the princesses, had to issue a public apology, and do community service to make up for any damage they had done. Blueblood himself getting personally punished by his Auntie Luna by being shrunken down for a whole day, trapped in a jar while she read Moby Dick to him as Nightmare Moon. The exception for the punishment ended up being Sturdy Step, because she had not really done any damage nor made any demands. All she had done was go from town to town and interact with her tiny fans because she was a professional boxer. So, her punishment was kept to a minimum.

The second time the event was triggered was when the element of honesty’s eldest brother, Big Macintosh, was hit from some leftover magical residue from Blueblood’s spell. Since the spell was incomplete and still partially active because the numbskull Blueblood never canceled the spell, a bit of the remaining magic had latched onto the nearest living being it could find, which happened to be Big Macintosh. However, this time the effects were different. The spell had become wild since it had been incompletely activated for so long, leaving the spell itself to become mutated. Sort of like how the inside of an apple turns brown when left outside for too long. You still get to eat the apple but it will taste slightly different. Such was the case with the mutated frowth spell. Big Mac had grown into a titan like the nobles, soon towering over the landscape and mountains, but he also gained a new ability; his earth pony magic had been amplified to a ridiculous degree.

He simply tapped his immense hoof and all the apples at his family’s orchard was ready to pick. He manipulated the old and dry wood in their barn and willed it to repair itself and fix the holes on the roof. Next when he was walking around the kingdom, he stopped to fix up all the damages the careless nobility had left behind. The kindhearted Titan even stopped to help some poor town who were struggling with their crops due to poor weather conditions. Another simple tapping of his foot and all the dried-up plants became green and lively. Though it was noted that anytime Big Mac used his newfound abilities, it would cause him to shoot up in size dramatically.

Eventually the Princesses realized that Mega Macintosh was not shrinking back down like the nobles did due to the mutated spell, so they managed to create a counterfeit shrinking potion and change Big Mac back to normal.

Ponies thought that was truly the end of it all but there has been rumors of a third mystery pony who has turned into a Titan. However, they only seem to come out at night. Ponies have reported occasional booming hoofsteps at night, seeing a gigantic silhouette looming outside cities, stepping over towns, and towering over mountains. There were even reports of the mystery Titan leaving behind a gargantuan hoofprint near a settlement in the middle of the night, but the next day it would vanish and a different hoofprint would pop up in a different location far away. Sometimes with a smiling face or inspirational quote drawn on the inside of the humongous crater.

So far nopony has stepped up to say it was them, but the fact that this mystery titan only seems to come out at night and nopony has actually gotten a good look at them, led many to assume this was all some very elaborate prank some jokesters are trying to pull off, to capitalize on the current events caused by the Titan craze.

A prank was the most likely explanation in Chrysalis’ mind. Why would any pony who was a giant want to keep it a secret? It didn’t make any sense in her kingdom conquering mind.

After she found out that the cause of all these titans was due to a silly little book, she grilled Blueblood on where it was. Chrysalis expected it to be in the castle under heavy security but was pleasantly surprised to find out that the royal fool just left it in a forest in a campsite he had squashed when he walked over to Canterlot as a Titan. It was practically begging to be stolen! The power to grow into an unstoppable giant was just within hoof’s reach! She just had to nab it and then conquering the kingdom will be child’s play. Thoughts of simply moving entire platoons of royal guards aside like they were toy solders and humiliating the Princesses and Mane 6 as she messes around with her size filled her mind.

Chrysalis was getting giddy at the easy win that would soon be in her hooves and couldn’t wait to get started!

After obtaining the book (which was left next to a pair of ugly tie-dyed cloaks for some reason) she then brought it back to the hive where she asked two of her children, Chip and Chirp to help finish the growth spell. A process that was surprisingly easy (which made Chrysalis wonder why it was not finished in the first place since it was so easy). There was one problem though, the book’s magic had been worn out due to the growth spell being activated for so long and was thus extremely unstable. Moreso than when it had struck Big Macintosh. The unstable magic that hit Big Mac had caused some unpredictable results. Though the wild magic had worked out in his favor that time, Chrysalis had no intention on experimenting on herself by casting unstable magic.

This is when Chip suggested that the remaining magic in the book could be transferred into a machine to keep it from becoming wilder and they could use a power source to stabilize it. Chirp then pitched in and said they could use some of the hive’s supply of love. After all, if love can power up a Changeling, there should be no reason as to why it wouldn’t work on the residue magic. Seeing as most of this made sense to her, Chrysalis agreed to the plan. Eager to grow into the next Titan and conquer the Equestria.

“And done!” Chip panted out, collapsing into a buggy heap at the base of the ray gun, his wrench falling out of his black hoof and onto the hive floor with a clatter. Another PLOP followed and Chirp found himself next to his twin brother, dropping his hammer in exhaustion. The two had been working non-stop for hours under the cold and calculating eye of Queen Chrysalis, who finally decided to speak after her long period of silence.

“And you’re sure this will work?” She asked her two children coldly, not taking her eyes off the large machine as she slowly walking around it, soaking every little detail of it. From the cylindrical shape of the base and body to the glowing pink container of love in the back, and lastly to the barrel with the rings attached to it, allowing the residue magic to mellow out and not overwhelm the subject when they blast themselves with the growth ray.

“You got it Mo-I mean your majesty!” Chirp said, hastily correcting himself as he scrambled up from the ground and bowing. “The magic in the machine will no longer be unstable because it has been combined with the love gathered from the hive!” Chip also got up from the crumpled heap he had found himself in and added “The spell is will no longer comprised of wild magic and won’t suffer from unforeseen side effects or mishaps!”

“Good,” Chrysalis replied, finally averting her gaze from the growth ray to her two sons as she stood in front of them “It would be highly unfortunate if the effects were to wear off while I was in the process of dealing with my enemies, like it did with those upstart upper class ponies. I would no doubt escape them, but make no mistake, I would hold you two personally responsible!” She hissed as she leaned down and glared at the two of them.

Chirp and Chip started sweating profusely “D-d-don’t worry your majesty!” Chip stuttered out as he nervously met his mother’s piercing gaze “I promise Chirp and I got the stabilization down to a T! It won’t give you any problems.”

Chirp nodded frantically as he listened to his brother’s explanation.

Chrysalis stared into their small eyes for a second longer before standing back up “Very well, I shall take your word for it. Fire up the machine immediately and use it me!” she announced as she walked to the front of the growth ray.

The two little brothers nervously looked at each other before scrambling after their Queen “Wait your majesty! Shouldn’t you wait? You know, just so we can make absolutely sure we got everything down correctly?” Chirp asked “You know, do some tests runs and stuff?”

Chrysalis turned around with an eyebrow raised “I thought you just told me you solved the stabilization issue?” she asked flatly “That is the only problem I wanted solved,”

“Well, we did but- “

“Then I see no reason why we can’t proceed if you have already delt with the only issue we were having. Now fire up that growth ray! We haven’t got all day!” Chrysalis exclaimed, cutting off Chirp and stomping a hoof.

Chirp and Chip’s ears folded down against their heads as they averted their gaze from their mother and nodded. Chip fluttered his tattered little wings, flew up to the ray, and pulled a lever down. The machine hummed to life and the end of the barrel began to glow, aimed directly at Queen Chrysalis.

This was beginning to garner attention as the rest of the changelings in the hive all gathered into the experiment room to see the spectacle. All of them had heard that their Queen was about to single handedly conquer Equestria.

“And while I’m gone, clean up this mess you two made!” Chrysalis said, pointing to the pile of scrap metal Chirp and Chip had left while they were building the growth ray.

“Ok mom…” Chirp said quietly as the ray reached the peak of Its power.

A bright orange laser blasted out of the barrel and hit Chrysalis directly in the chest. Chip watched as the growth ray exhaust all its magic, love, and power into the one blast. Everything directed into the Changeling Queen.

For a moment everything was still, not a single living being uttered a sound. The hive watched in bathed breath as they waited for something to happen.

And just as suddenly, a neon green glow suddenly engulfed Chrysalis like an inferno. She closed her eyes and hummed in pleasure as her form began to expand, rising towards the rocky ceiling.

And promptly smashed through it effortlessly like it was paper.

The Changelings present all screamed and scattered as rubble began raining down from the roof, flying in all direction. Chip grabbed his brother Chirp’s hoof and took flight. The two little grubs trying to fly out of the way as well but due to their inexperience with flying they had a much more difficult time navigating through the dust and rock. They didn’t even notice themselves buzzing straight into a large wall of thick, silky, turquoise strands, until it was too late, the two twins getting tangled in it immediately. The two were too disoriented to notice that strangely, the strands were growing larger around them while they were not.

RUMMMMBLE!

With a tremendous BOOM! Chrysalis’ head burst out of the top of the hive in a shower of rock, dust, and changeling slime.

Chrysalis smirked and looked down at herself as the neon glow still surrounded her, allowing her body to continue to increase in size. Her head continued to rise through the opening, followed by her neck and torso. Chrysalis simply took a step forward and burst out of the hive, tearing away the entire front of it as her hoof landed on the ground with the THOOM! Completely flattening one of the dead trees underhoof.

And yet, she still wasn’t done growing yet as the ray’s power continued to serge within her. Bigger and bigger the colossal Queen grew. She looked around with a pleased expression as her surroundings diminished in size around her. The hive, once as tall as she was just a few seconds ago continued to decrease in height, lowering to her chest, then knees, and lastly as small as her hoof.

The now extremely tiny changelings timidly poked their heads out of their hiding places in the wreckage of the hive. The growth ray lay in ruins nearby, completely flattened after it had been unknowingly squashed by Chrysalis’s hind leg when she outgrew the hive. Chip and Chirp were nowhere to be found.

The drones, very cautiously, made their way to their goliath of a Queen outside. Extremely intimidated by her gargantuan presence as she towered high above them. Nearly half of the entire badlands was covered by her shadow alone. They almost fell on their backs trying to look up the dark black spires that were her chitin legs looming above. Only the underside of her massive muzzle was visible as Chrysalis looked out into the distance, strangely quiet.

The drone cautiously approached Chrysalis’ titanic hoof, it being so big they couldn’t keep it all in their field of vision.

Suddenly the air rumbled as Chrysalis’ immense shadow shifted high above them. The changelings directed their attention they sky. Their hearts dropping into their stomachs as they saw Chrysalis staring down, her attention directed onto them now though there was still no emotion on her face.

When suddenly, her expression shifted from unreadable to so joyful and happy, Pinkie Pie would be jealous.

“Awww! Everything is so tiny and adorable!” Chrysalis thundered with a teasing voice, her eyes sparkling with warmth and kindness, not unlike the same kind of kindness Celestia radiates when speaking to a loved one or her subjects.

At the sound of her voice, the drones all squealed in fear and darted back into the hive, going straight to their hiding places, their minds not registering what she had said. But as soon as it clicked, they all timidly looked back out at their gigantic ruler.

Chrysalis leaned down and lowering her massive head to where the hive was. The Changelings squeaked out in fear as the gaping hole in the hive was filled with the colossal, glowing green eye of their mother looking down at their diminutive forms, Chrysalis being so big now that her eye alone completely filled the area of the hive she had previously stepped out from.

“Awww, I didn’t mean to scare everyling so badly,” Chrysalis spoke sweetly to her tiny drones “Is anyling hurt? Momma can give you a big ol’ hug to make it feel better!”

The changelings look at each other in confusion. Why was their queen acting so…happy? Just a second ago she was dead set on conquering Equestria. Now she was absolutely humongous! so why wasn’t she stomping off to go flatten the kingdom?

“Ummm, y-y-your highness?” one drone timidly called up to the monolithic eye still staring at them “Why aren’t you…you know, heading out to take over Equestria like you planned?”

Chrysalis’ eye blinked, a mirthful look growing in it. Then suddenly, Chrysalis’ thunderous giggles filled the air and shook the ground, the changelings crouching down on the floor to prevent themselves from falling over from the shaking.

“Me? Taking over Equestira?” Chrysalis asked as she chuckled, lifting up one of her giant hoofs up to wipe a tear of laughter from her eye “Now why would I do a silly thing like that?”

“B-b-but you said that… once you became a Titan then you’d crush Equestira,” the same drone hesitantly reminded her

“Now, now, sweetie, perish the thought! I won’t be doing any of that,” Chrysalis gently reprimanded the little drone, getting back up to her hooves. One more looming over the hive. “Why would I want to conquer those adorable little ponies when we can be friends with them instead? No need for such pointless fighting when we can all be happy!”

“O-ok?”

“In fact, today is a beautiful day!” Chrysalis remarked, looking up at the clear blue sky, her snout nearly touching the clouds at her great size “I think I’ll go out for a little morning walk and say hi to our dear teeny-weeny little pony neighbors. Oh, I’ll be so happy to see the cute tiny smiles on their faces after I announce to them that I want to be friends with all of them!”

Chrysalis had a charming yet giddy smile on her face as she raised her gigantic hoof started to head out, the squashed tree falling from the underside of her hoof as she did do and back into her hoofprint. Chrysalis began to stride across the landscape, heading in the direction of Equestria when she stopped with a loud gasp of alarm.

The titanic Queen turned around, quickly dashed back to her tiny hive, the world trembling from her hoof falls. Chrysalis skidded to a stop in front of her miniature hive and brought her head back down to the ground again, her humongous eye peering in at her little changelings with deep concern.

“I almost forgot, all of you will be ok of I head out for the morning, right? We have stored love in the fridge if anyling gets hungry, ok? And don’t forget to drink plenty of water!” Chrysalis said lovingly.

The changelings blinked and looked around at each other. What were they, hatchlings?

Nevertheless, they nodded, “Yes your highness,” they said, much like a class answering their teacher together.

Chrysalis’ huge eye brightened with happiness “Wonderful! I’ll be back soon my adorable little sweetums!” she boomed.

And with that, the gigantic changeling queen stood back up to her full height and set off, the ground shaking with thunderous BOOMS! As she strolled across the tiny badlands. Chrysalis was prancing happily like a giant filly, sending even larger tremors across the ground as she left the hive and headed to Equestria.

Back at the wrecked hive, the changeling group still stood in the same chamber, blinking blankly at the space where their giant mother’s eye had just occupied, trying to figure out what in the world just happened.

“Is she…prancing?” a changeling named Pharynx asked, his leg holding his little brother Thorax close as they among the rest of the Changelings watched their jubilant Queen vanish over the horizon, all of them bouncing slightly from the shaking.

Noling wanted to answer that.

“Um, so, who’s going to clean all this up?” a lone voice piped up. Everyling looked around at the wreckage and the rubble left behind, truly a huge mess. “There’s only one way to settle this!” piped up another changeling. The others glanced at their comrades, eyes narrowed and tension beginning to rise as they prepared themselves. There was only one way to settle this. Like warriors.

All at once everyling quickly put their hoof to their nose and shouted, “NOT IT!” as quick as they could. Unfortunately, not everyling was fast enough.

“Ha! Too slow Wasp!”

“Awwww!” the poor drone named Wasp groaned. The other changelings cheered and dashed off in a cloud of dust, leaving unfortunate Wasp all alone in the ruined chamber to clean up, with the distant sound of more rocks crumbling to the ground in the background.

Chapter 2- Large and in Charge

Outside a home in a village a few miles away from the Badlands, an earth pony mare stood outside her home. She was standing up on her hind legs as she hung laundry outside on a clothesline in the early morning sunlight. Just one of the tasks she had wanted to get done before properly starting the day and going about her morning routine. After putting up the final blanket she dropped back to all fours, gazing at her accomplished work proudly and looked up at the beautiful sky as she admired the lovely day. A clear blue sky, gentle breeze blowing, and the sun’s warm rays shining down. “It’s quite a lovely day,” she thought.

But her morning musings would almost immediately come to a halt. Within a few seconds the mare began to feel the ground quake. Small pebbles were bobbing around on the ground in the midst of the strange rumbling, but the shakings only increased in their intensity. Several other ponies in the village began to notice as well. A few of them coming out of their homes as the rhythmic shaking got greater and greater, a few of the ponies were beginning to bounce around because of the shaking ground. And that’s when they finally heard it. The air reverberating with BOOMS.

It wasn’t long before a shadow fell over the village like a drape, the surroundings now completely darkened. Several of the ponies that were outside looked up at the sky in confusion. the sun was still out, so why was it so dark all of a sudden? What was the deal here?

Well, their answer came in the form of one mega sized bugmom passing by.

An absolutely colossal, black chitin hoof, bigger than the village itself, slammed down next to the settlement with a thunderous THOOM. Causing everything in the village, from the residents to the houses themselves, to tremble like it was a stack of blocks.

The ponies on the ground looked up in awe as they beheld the behemoth spire of black chitin. Towering above them like a living, breathing mountain. The owner of the gargantuan hoof looked down at the tiny settlement as she smiled pleasantly down at them.

“Good morning everypony! I hope you have a lovely day down there!” Chrysalis said kindly in her thunderous voice.

That was all the village residents managed to hear from the dark titaness’ powerful voice before her titanic, hole-filled hoof lifted its immense bulk from the ground, ripping out a chunk of the earth as it did so, and zoomed forward as the colossus continued her leisurely stroll across the kingdom, humming pleasantly as she walked. Chrysalis thundered away, blissfully unaware of the shaking ground the tiny inhabitants had to endure as she sauntered away.

Back at the village, everypony was completely frozen, trying to process what just happened as they gently bounced up and down from the fading, booming hoofsteps of the gargantuan royal changeling mare that had just walked by.

The earth pony who had just hung her laundry out to dry sat gob smacked on the ground, her mouth hanging open as her mind swirled with thoughts.

Did I just see a gigantic Chrysalis walk by, almost squash us, and then wish us good day?” she wondered, her brain almost short circuiting at the absurd situation. One of Equestria’s greatest villains is now thousands of feet tall and she just said hello to the village like they were good friends?!

She slowly turned her head to the side where she had a good view of the edge of the village. There, the mare was able to make out the massive hoofprint Queen Chrysalis had effortlessly left behind as she had walked by. It was gigantic! Chrysalis could have easily squashed the village and she probably wouldn’t have even noticed if she hadn’t been paying attention. She slowly turned her still shocked head back towards her laundry, which, along with the clothesline itself, had all fallen in a wreck amidst the shaking. The mare blinked a few times before shaking her head in defeat and wandered back inside her home “And this is why I should drink my coffee in the morning before I start my day.”

Queen Chrysalis, meanwhile, now many miles away, was still humming a pleasant and catchy tune as she walked across the miniature countryside. At her great height, her head nearly surpassed the height of the mountains as she towered high above the landscape. And the best part was? She could get bigger. Much bigger. Chrysalis could feel it. Like all changelings, she needs love to sustain herself and get stronger. And Chrysalis had a sneaking suspicion that if she was to devour more love then she would boost up in size exponentially.

I can already feel the ambient love in the air,” Chrysalis thought as she closed her eyes with a gentle smile. Equestria was already a quite peaceful kingdom, filled to the brim with happy ponies who live their lives and spent time with each other. And that alone had traces of love sprinkled all over the atmosphere and air. And now that she was back and bigger than ever, Chrysalis could easily feed off of it thanks to the massive boost to her natural abilities and magic because of her gigantic size, something no other changeling has previously been able to do.

That spell really had it’s perks,” she thought with a giggle.

Chrysalis opened her mouth slightly as her horn began to glow, and little by little she consumed the ambient love in her vicinity, taking care not to directly drain any of those adorable tiny ponies. Her eyes glowed pink as she powered up even more, fueled by more love. Once more, green energy surrounded her and within a few seconds, Chrysalis found her head peaking above the mountains. Her size increasing even more, already she was taller than the nobles had been initially.

Excellent!” Chrysalis thought happily as she lifted up her mighty hoof and examined the underside of it. Chunks of earth and rock rained down from her squishy sole into the mile wide hoofprint below. Her chitinous exoskeleton definitely looked stronger and glossier while the underside of her hoof remained soft and plush. “But I don’t want to go about stealing love. That would harm the poor little dears! If I want to get bigger then I will earn it properly myself,” She decided “What better way to show off to Equestria that I want to be friends than being the biggest and best self I can be!”

Chrysalis smiled as she resumed her pleasant morning stroll through the tiny kingdom. Occasionally, she would pass by a village, or a larger town. In these instances, the mega sized queen would pause her exercise and say a very happy and heart-felt “Good Morning little ones!” to the very miniscule equines before resuming her hundreds of miles long trek. The ponies all watching on in confusion as they received such a warm greeting from the villainess.

Chrysalis watched with some amusement as she witnessed just how frail the world was around her now as her power continued to increase. Her hooves easily broke into the planet’s crust like soft snow as she trekked across it, taking some pleasure in the feeling of the warm ground splintering underhoof. The civilizations she passed all bounced around from her hoof falls as her gigantic shadow passed over them like a living mountain. The ponies on the ground staring up in awe at the colossal Queen passing by.

But though she was being as kind and gentle as she possible could, like Celestia and Luna, Chrysalis did have a mischievous side that she was happy to indulge a in.

As soon as her height increased even more and her head passed the clouds, Chrysalis noticed a couple of unsuspecting Pegasi taking a nap on the clouds floating by her snout. A big toothy grin crept across the colossus’ face as she leaned down close to them. Her stadium sized nostrils flexed as a torrent of warm air buffered the tiny ponies. They looked around in confusion before noticing the humongous set of teeth behind them. And the absolutely gigantic form of one big happy bugmom grinning down at them playfully.

“Hiiiiiii,” Chrysalis purred

The Pegesi all squeaked out in fear and tried to fly away. Only to get swept up in a cloud of Chrysalis’ powerful green magic as she held the tiny group in her grasp.

Chrysalis giggled musically and nuzzled the miniature ponies against her warm cheek. “Awww! You’re all so adorable! Like tiny little plushies I can just snuggle up,” she joked as she gently set the group down on the ground by her hoof.

The ponies all looked at each other in confusion. They just got the biggest hug of their lives by none other than Equestria’s greatest villain. None of them know how to feel about that.

Chrysalis had a big smile on her face as she winked down at the group “Ta-ta little dearies!” she said as she raised a foreleg, daftly stepping over the tiny group as she made her way past them. The world around the ponies shaking from her steps as they watched Chrysalis disappearing over the horizon.

Now where should I go next?” Chrysalis wondered “I feel like, for all this time, all I have been doing is wander about aimlessly. I should probably think of someplace to head to because I know for a fact, I haven’t been to everywhere in Equestria yet,”

As she pondered the question, Chrysalis began to sit down so she could properly think this over. Her hind legs bending as she lowered her gigantic rear to the ground, setting it down with a tremendous THOOM! Narrowly missing a nearby village she had somehow overlooked. The speck sized residents all screaming in fear as they all scurried away from the squishy black masses that gobbled up the landscape after they had descended from the sky.

Nearby pony towns watched in awe and slight fear as they beheld the monolithic form of Chrysalis, who was now casually recline against a several thousand-foot-tall mountain like it was a chair. At Chrysalis’ current height, the ponies on the ground by her hooves were now even smaller than bugs to her.

But some ponies tried to take some solace in the fact that even though Chrysalis has somehow turned into another one of those Titans, she, for some reason just stomped by and gave everyone a cheerful greeting. So maybe she wasn’t planning on squashing them all or doing anything else horrible.

…Right?

Everypony watched on in amazement as they saw Chrysalis lift one of her city sized hooves, small bits of land and trees falling from it, and began to nonchalantly tap it against her chin, deep in thought, as she continued to think about where to head next. They all winced as they heard each tap create a muffled BOOM! Registering as a huge shockwave to their tiny ears.

Let’s see, I left the hive, passed a few villages, cities, and mountains, and…that’s really it. Wow. That seems quite boring now that I’ve thought about this. I guess that was to be expected considering so much of the land looks flat and bare from up here. So where else haven’t I gone?” Chrysalis wondered, still gently tapping her hoof against her chin as she mulled over the subject.

Then it hit her.

Of course! I completely forgot about my former enemies! Oh, the little darlings will sure be in for a surprise when the get a load of me!” Chrysalis thought, excitement beginning to build. She covered her mouth with a hoof as she stifled a giggle at the thought of the shocked expressions on the Princesses face when they see her looming over the landscape. She definitely needed to pay them a visit. But who was closest? Chrysalis’ ears perked up as the realization struck her.

The nearest one was the newly revived Crystal Empire. Now the current residence of Princess Cadence and Prince Shining Armor.

“Alright, it’s settled. I think I’ll pay a surprise visit to dear itty-bitty Shining Armor and Cadence first, I hear they just settled into their new Empire, then I’ll head out to Canterlot and say hi to those adorable little Princesses and the element bearers! I definitely need to give those adorable girls a giant-sized hug to make up for all the trouble I caused them in the past!” Chrysalis thought. A giddy feeling began to grow inside her as the titaness clamored back to her hooves, causing more earthquakes to shake the ground below her, to the dismay of the mite sized ponies.

Well, time to head out!” Chrysalis thought enthusiastically as she practically pranced off with excitement, leaving several sizable cracks in the mountain behind her where she had leaned against it. Passing through the little landscape with renewed enthusiasm, the tiny kingdom was treated to non-stop quaking as the energetic giant resumed her leisurely storm across the land.

In no time at all, Chrysalis felt the temperature around her start to drop, with snowflakes fluttering around her. But thanks to her newly gigantified self, the cold was hardly an issue for her.

Chrysalis soon spotted the crystal mountains as she approached them. She looked on with mild amusement as she noticed them trembling with each one of her mighty steps, practically shaking the snow off of the peaks. Though that didn’t stop the kindhearted Queen from catching the avalanche with her magic to prevent any damage to nearby settlements. Chrysalis soaked up the love and gratitude she received from the tiny ponies living in cottages in the mountains. She lowered her colossal head towards the civilization and lovingly nuzzled the tiny crowd that had gathered when they had saw her approaching over the horizon, thanking them as she was powered up even more. Shooting her up in size once again. Chrysalis watched the height of the mountains shrink in front of her increasing size as she bade the residence goodbye and continued to stomp her way to the Crystal Empire.

Though as she passed by the Crystal Mountains, which were now level with her barrel, she spotted a little speck traveling along in a straight line by her humongous hooves. Chrysalis blinked as she stopped and stared at it, trying to figure out what it was she was looking at. Which didn’t take long as her eyes lit up with delight as she recognized what it was.

Chrysalis was looking at the tiny form of the Friendship Express, packed to the brim with tourists as it sped on its way to the Crystal Empire, the new tourist destination.

she tittered at the sight. From her multi-mile tall perspective, the usually large train looked like it was the size of pebble. With even tinier ponies inside the train snapping pictures with their cameras and taking in the landscape. The snow, mountains, and the giant changeling looming above the kingdom outside.

Chrysalis looked down, an amused smirk on her face as her giant hoof landed next to the train, jostling its little form as the titaness continued walking forward, easily outpacing the tiny train with nothing more than a few casual steps.

She swiveled her head around and peered behind her. Shooting the gnat sized ponies she left behind in her wake a playful wink before resuming her walk towards her destination. The resonating sound of BOOMS! Shaking the world as she went.

The crystal empire was said to be a nearly forgotten about kingdom. Once it was a prosperous land a thousand years ago, though it soon became a figment of the past after it had been sealed in ice and banished along with its tyrannical ruler: King Sombra.

For years there had been nothing related to the empire. No news about it, no update, not even a whisper. So, it was quite a shock to everypony when it had suddenly reappeared once more.

This was, of course, immediately investigated by Twilight, her friends, and the newly married royal couple; Shining Armor and Cadence. They had run into a bit of trouble along the way, but ultimately, they had won the battle against the evil king of the crystal empire.

With the denizens now free from the tyrannical rule, they all needed to be properly integrated into the society of the modern world. The vote for who the next rulers were was almost unanimous among the populace. They all asked for Cadence and Shining Armor to take up the role as their next Emperor and Empress. And after much debate and discussion among the two, they agreed.

Now, weeks later, they were all doing everything they could to get the empire up to speed. From establishing relations with other kingdoms, to creating a guard force, and the basic needs of the ponies. Though there was still plenty of work to be done. some of the houses and structures had been wrecked in the scuffle against sombra while he bashed on the magic shield trying to get in and during his reign, leaving some families left to lodge in a temporary shelter that had been set up until it can be fixed.

The current rulers, Prince Shining Armor and Princess Cadence were currently up at the Crystal Castle, in the royal suite as they got their work done for the day. Shining Armor had just wrapped up court and was now back in his office going over paperwork for the guard and all the final check for the applications on the ponies that wanted to join the force.

In the office next to his, another one stood that was nearly identical. That one belonged to his wife, Princess Cadence. Though she didn’t manage the military (deciding to leave that up to Shining because his experience outweighed hers) she was more involved with the politics of the Empire and delt with the nobility and the later courts.

But despite that, even with the overloading amount of work they had to go through to keep the empire running and bringing it up to speed, they never lost a smile on their face as they went about their day helping out the ponies of the empire. Everything was peaceful after the fall of Sombra. And that peace was something the married couple wanted to maintain, for both the empire and their subjects.

…But who are we kidding? This is Equestria, there’s never a moment’s peace around here.

Princess Cadence’s ears perked up as she heard somepony knocking on the door to the royal suite. As she made her way over to it, the door to the secondary office opened and Shining Armor stepped out, drawn to the knocking as well. The two shared a quick nuzzle as they made their way over to the door.

Shining’s horn flashed with magic as the door handle turned, opening it up to reveal one of the new royal guards.

“Ah, good morning Private!” Shining said brightly to the guard.

The guard, a young stallion, fresh out of training, hastily threw a hoof up to his head and saluted “Sir!” he said in loudly “I have something to report sir!”

“Indoor voice please, dear,” Cadence said with a light giggle, which only intensified as she and Shining noticed an embarrassed blush forming on the stallion’s cheeks.

“S-S-Sorry your majesty,” he said timidly

“It’s alright Private,” Shining told his guard reassuringly “Just remember for next time, ok?”

“Yes sir,” he said “But I do have a message for you from one of the sentries patrolling the ramparts. They said to inform you that there seems to be several series of earthquakes that have intensified over the last few minutes. They’re not sure how strong it will get but they said to let you know,”

“I see,” Princess Cadence said “Thank you for letting us know dear,”

The guard nodded, acknowledging Cadence as he turned to Shining next to await his instructions.

“Tell everypony to stay under tables or chairs in an event of an emergency. Or take shelter in their cellars if need be. Since we don’t know how big these earthquakes will be it would be best for them to take shelter there,” he said

The guard nodded and threw up a crisp salute before scampering off to spread the word.

“Now that he mentions it, I have noticed a slight shaking,” Cadence told her husband as the two of them made their way back into the royal suite

Shining Armor nodded “Same. And I can feel it getting stronger,” he said.

But just then, one of the strongest shakings so far happened right there and then. Shining and Cadence were both bounced up into the air from its power and landed on their bed with an “oof!”

As they struggled to untangle themselves from the mess of limbs and blankets, they barely were able to register the faint sounds wafting through the air

BOOM! BOOM! BOOM! BOOM!

Cadence managed to untangle herself first, falling to the ground with a plop! The entire castle, and possible even the entire empire was shaking now. Shining soon joined her on the ground after falling off the bed once he had extracted himself from the sheets.

Groaning, he shook his head to clear it as he shakily got back onto his hooves, helping up Cadence as well. But that was when he looked out towards the balcony and noticed something rather peculiar about the landscape in the distance.

It looked like an extra mountain had suddenly appeared.

“Uh, Cady? Are you seeing what I’m seeing?” Shining Armor asked as he pointed out towards the horizon.

Cadence held a hoof to her head as she grimaced before turning her attention to where Shining was pointing. And subsequently felt her jaw drop as she beheld the sight of the extra mountain that had suddenly appeared.

The extra mountain was also moving

it was completely black, a stark contrast to the snow-covered mountains in the area. Not to mention it had a flowing turquoise mane

And it had four legs with holes in them.

And a jagged horn.

Shining Armor and Cadence stared on with horror growing in their stomachs as they put two and two together.

Walking towards the Crystal Empire, bigger than the mountains themselves, was the absolutely colossal form of the Queen of the Changelings. Chrysalis herself.

Chrysalis let out a happy hum as she stomped by the remaining mountains that was in between her and her destination. The Crystal Empire. She had grown substantially in the passing time as she fed off of all the love in the air.

The Crystal Empire was practically oozing pure, sweet love. Produced to perfection by the adorably tiny crystal ponies of the Empire.

Chrysalis stopped walking for a second as a playful smile overtook her, the mountains were now only as tall as her thighs. And analogy had just popped up into her mind, one that she personally found a little funny. The ponies of the empire had to maintain their love energy practically all the time, so it can be stored by the legendary crystal heart. That kinda reminded her of how bees stored their honey and kept it in their hive. The crystal ponies were the bees in this case, and the love was the honey. While she, Chrysalis, was the beekeeper coming to collect all the excess love while she paid Shining and Cadence a visit.

Chrysalis giggled at the mental image of her giant self, wearing a beekeeper uniform as she went from city to city, removing the excess love from them and putting it into a honey jar that she repurposed to say “love” instead and bringing it back to the hive.

She shook her head, while the idea of taking so much love was appealing, she had already made up her mind that she wasn’t going to hurt the ponies.

Not to mention all that love will go straight to my hips,” Chrysalis thought self consciously as she snuck a glance at her figure reflecting off the crystal mountains.

Nodding in satisfaction, she raised her gigantic foreleg and continued walking forward. The snow was almost completely shaken off the mountaintops as they all shook from power of Chrysalis’ hoofsteps. Ponies living in the mountains had already taken shelter as the gargantuan Queen casually walked by.

Now where could this ‘Crystal Empire’ be?” Chrysalis wondered as she stormed over the tiny landscape, snow covered trees were unknowingly squished as the giant walked by, with miles of land disappearing underhoof, only for it to be torn out as the monumental black chitin hoof lifted from the ground, leaving behind an enormous crater.

Chrysalis had never actually seen the Crystal Empire before, so she was quite curious as to what it looked like. Setting her hoof down once more, she paused and looked from side to side.

“Wherever could it be? Surely, it’s out here somewhere,” Chrysalis mused as she tapped her hoof on the ground in thought. A faint noise could be heard over the icy wind.

Great, now I’m hearing voices all the way out here,” she sighed “And why does it sound like squeaking-”

Chrysalis froze with wide eyes, her hoof raised mid-tap, before she slowly directed her attention to the ground.

There, laying helplessly next to the city sized crater she had made while tapping her hoof, was a rather shiny looking civilization. Complete with a tiny castle, tinier houses, and the tiniest little ponies, no bigger than multicolored specks from her perspective.

“Oopsie daisy!Chrysalis said as she withdrew her hoof, setting it down beside her. She walked closer, jostling the Empire with her strides until she was right in front of it. The villainess bent her knees as she crouched down in front of the downsized Kingdom. Her enormous face filling the sky above them.

“Sorry about that little guys!” Chrysalis said brightly with a toothy smile, her thunderous voice shaking the little empire “I barely noticed you all down there. Guess I’m still getting used to just how massive I am now, huh?”

Tiny squeals filled the air as Chrysalis’ skyscraper sized fangs loomed high in the air

The giant Changeling queen held a hoof to her mouth as she giggled pleasantly “Awww, it never ceases to amaze me just how adorable you all look down there. So tiny and cute!” she boomed.

But as the Titaness was busy cooing over the miniature residents of the Crystal Empire, there was a slight movement that caught her eyes atop one of the highest towers in the Crystal castle. Chrysalis turned her great head and spotted two tiny little specks on the balcony. One pink speck and one white speck.

Chrysalis’ eyes lit up as she recognized the familiar colors. But she wanted to know for certain if it was who she thought. It was so hard to tell when you’re bigger than a mountain.

She leaned forward and sniffed down at the empire, the smell of all the swirling emotions and scents filling her nose. You see, emotions all have very distinct scents to Changelings, and each one is unique to each pony. And Queen Chrysalis just so happens to be quite an expert on the new royal couple’s scent based on…prior experiences.

Chrysalis’s nostrils flexed, sending powerful winds cascading down on the tiny empire. The warm breeze swirled around the puny ponies as they all tried to keep their balance amidst the overeager Titaness’ sniffs.

“I thought so!” Chrysalis exclaimed happily as she got back up to her hooves, once more looming high above the miniature Empire “Hi down there dearest Shining and Cadence. I’m so happy to have gotten a chance to see you both again!”

There were a series of squeaks coming from their general direction, sounding a little bit angry. But Chrysalis could see past that. Their words may be a little angry, but their emotions told a different story. She could definitely smell the strong sent of fear in the air coming from them. Something that she was determined to alleviate.

Her horn lit up and the acid green glow of her magic surrounded not only the tiny couple, but the entire balcony and the platoon of guards that was with them. With a SNAP! Chrysalis effortlessly tore off the balcony and all the ponies on it as they were raised up to her gargantuan face.

Chrysalis winced “Maybe I used a little too much power there,” she thought as she floated the balcony chuck over to her “It’s so hard to gauge just how much I should use now. Everything’s just so tiny and fragile!” She could barely make out the faint squeaking of fear as her magic held them all in her grasp.

Smiling warmly, she gently dislodged them all from the floating balcony piece and nuzzled them against her city sized cheek. “There, there, little ones. See? There’s nothing to be afraid of,” Chrysalis said soothingly. She cupped her hoof against her chest and levitated the ponies onto the warm and squishy frog of her hoof, inclining it a little so they’d all slide up against her chest as she gave them the world’s biggest hug.

Chrysalis kept them there for a bit, even adding a little rocking motion as she further tried to comfort the frightened specks.

Down below, a few of the guards looked at their rulers in confusion as they were gently pressed up against the Titanic changeling.

“Umm, your highness? Are you sure this Chrysalis character is evil? She seems really nice,” one of the guards said as he gestured around him. The remaining guards around them were in a state of pure bliss as they practically melted into the warm and loving embrace of the colossal Queen.

Shining and Cadence had no answer to this. Literally everything Chrysalis was doing went against any previous encounter with her. She had gone from a cold and calculating ruler who had led an invasion to a mountain sized, doting, ultra-kind mare.

After a little while, Chrysalis gently levitated the tiny cast back onto the chunk of balcony she had accidently torn off. But thanks to her nearly unstoppable might, she was able to effortlessly repair the damage.

“Mmmm, there we go, good as new!” Chrysalis chirped happily as she leaned down again “Congratulations on the new Empire Shining and Cadence. I’m so proud of you two!”

Shining and Cadence just blinked in disbelief as Chrysalis’ words washed over them.

“This little kingdom is just adorable, and personally I think the aesthetic suits you two just fine. But I do have to say, why is your empire so dirty? I can see it from here. Look! Those little buildings are covered in dust and dirt. I know you two just got your empire, but you shouldn’t just leave it in this condition!” Chrysalis boomed, a look of righteous ire amassing in her colossal eye.

Cadence and Shining gulped and backed up a little as the mountainous form of Chrysalis leaned down further towards them. Her city sized snout, almost as tall as the entire castle, hovered just above the balcony.

“As a mother myself, I won’t stand for this. Honestly you two! You need to take better care of your home!” Chrysalis lightly berated them as she got back up on her humongous hooves, sending more tremors throughout the Crystal Empire.

“When did she become our mom?” Cadence grumbled to Shining, who just shrugged. But before he could respond, a shadow fell over the empire. The couple turned their attention skywards but quickly felt a jolt of fear shoot through them.

Lowering itself towards the Empire was the underside of Chrysalis’s colossal hoof. Panic burst out across the empire as ponies ran for cover while the hoof descended towards them.

RUMMMBLE

Crystal ponies everywhere clung onto the nearest thing they could find as they experienced a sense of vertigo. Chrysalis’ hoof had effortlessly torn into the earth and simply picked up the entire Crystal Empire.

The giantess looked down with a bemused smirk at the little kingdom sitting innocently atop the chunk of earth she had plucked out of the ground. The tiny kingdom sunk slightly into the squishy underside of her hoof of she held it in her hoof's frog.

“Well now, I simply cannot just allow you two too leave your new Empire in this state. Appearances must be kept! So, this time I’ll just clean your little Kingdom myself,” Chrysalis thundered as her horn flashed once more. This time, Chrysalis magicked up an enormous handkerchief. She lowered it into a nearby lake and dipped it in, soaking up the water before raising it up above the empire. Ponies down below looked up in fear as the watched the colossal handkerchief lower itself towards the ground.

The gigantic handkerchief landed with a soft BOOM! On the ground before sweeping forward, guided by Chrysalis’ magic. Ponies all ran inside the safety of their homes and nearby shops in a panic as the city sized handkerchief passed over the tiny buildings, somehow not damaging them in the slightest.

Chrysalis hummed pleasantly as she worked, being as thorough and careful as possible. Any one of the tiny ponies that got swept up in her cleaning were instantly teleported into a nearby shop or home and safely out of harms way. One of the benefits of currently being the most powerful creatures in the world. Chrysalis could manipulate spells anyway she sees fit thanks to the extensive magic boost she received as a giant.

“Annnnd done!” Chrysalis said happily as she magicked the handkerchief away “Looks like this old empire was quite the fixer-upper huh?”

She chuckled as she lowered her gigantic hoof back towards the ground and gently set the Crystal Empire back into the crater, she had previously torn it out off.

“There we go little dears, good as new!” Chrysalis thundered proudly with a smile “Though as I recall, the Empire needs love to function properly, does it not? Well, thank goodness I’m here. Because I got plenty of love to give everypony. Chrysalis lowered her head towards the ground and opened her mouth.

Shining and Cadence looked up at the sky nervously. What was she planning on doing? Surely, she wasn’t going to eat the empire was she? Chrysalis was certainly big enough to do so. At her size the empire would be no bigger than a biscuit for her to snack on. But thankfully that wasn’t the case. The giant mare had other plans.

A stream of pink mist flowed from her mouth and engulfed the empire. All at once the ponies felt a sense of warmth and contentment flowing through them. The Crystal heart getting supercharged from the generous amount of love willingly given by the titanic Queen.

Chrysalis smiled warmly down at the tiny civilization by her hooves, positively bursting with joy at the sight of them thriving from the simple act of her giving them her love. It made her feel so fulfilled on the inside.

I think that’s my cue,” Chrysalis thought as a gentle smile began to spread across her face “I got to pay these adorable little ponies a visit, say hi to Shining and Cadence, clean up this old empire, and give the little ones a good amount of love to sustain them,”

The gratitude and love that the Crystal ponies felt for the Changeling Queen for what she had just done filled the air as it was absorbed into Chrysalis. Those on the ground watched in awe as they witnessed her grow even bigger than before.

Chrysalis looked down at the empire one last time, spotting the two royal specks still standing on the balcony. her eye filled the sky as she leaned down one last time towards the tiny couple “Now remember dears, take good care of your home and the ponies in it,” she boomed, her voice sending tremors through the air “These little dears will be relying on you a lot now. But if you ever need some extra support, please feel free to reach out to me. Mamma would be happy to lend a giant helping hoof!” Chrysalis giggled as she stood back up to her true, absolutely gigantic height “I’m sure I’ll see you two around sometime. It’ll be pretty easy for me to do visits from now on because I’m so big!”

Chrysalis chuckled as she raised a hoof and effortlessly stepped over the tiny empire on the ground, strutting away as she continued her morning stroll, her hips swaying as she stormed over the absolutely tiny Equestria. Sending tremors across the tiny land with each step.

Back at the Crystal empire, Cadence and Shining Armor watched dumbfounded as the Titanic form of Chrysalis walked away. The faint sound of THOOMS could still be heard as it shook the empire.

“S-S-Shiny. What just happened?” Cadence asked weakly.

“Honestly Cady, I have no idea. Do we even consider that an attack?” Shining Armor asked as he glanced at his wife “I was expecting the worse, but Chrysalis didn’t even do anything bad! She gave the entire empire love and even cleaned it. She even fixed all the buildings that were damaged or destroyed by Sombra. How did she even do that?! She only used a handkerchief!”

Cadence could only shrug as she tried to wrap her head around the situation.

“I-I’m going to send a letter to Canterlot and let Auntie Celestia and Luna know what’s going on. They’d definitely want to know that a Titan sized Chrysalis is walking around,” Cadence said in a dazed voice as she stumbled away to go grab ink and paper.

Meanwhile, now many miles away, Chrysalis thundered across the equestrian landscape with a bright smile on her face.

“Well, I’d say that went pretty well!” She thought cheerfully as she pranced about “Guess that means it’s onto my next destination then!

Chrysalis sighed contently as she continued her globetrotting stroll, relishing in her newfound freedom and newly acquired size and power she had just gained from the Empire. But unbeknownst to the Queen, there were two individuals that were extremely close to her who weren’t having nearly as much fun as she was.

“EEEEEEEK!” Chip squeaked in fear as the world around him shook and quaked. The little changeling grub held tightly onto a single strand of hair that was thicker than a house as it swayed from side to side. After Chrysalis had been hit by the growth ray and grew to absolutely gigantic proportions, the hive had started to crumble around them. Panicking, Chip grabbed his brother Chirp and flew blindly away, trying to escape the falling debris. Only to fly headfirst straight into Chrysalis’ tail, immediately getting tangled in it's strands.

Things only got worse for them as Chrysalis continued to grow, their surroundings getting bigger and bigger. Each one of the tail hairs getting bigger and heavier, restricting their wing movement. Now, the both of them could only dangle about helplessly as they were forced to endure the movement of their gigantic mother as she walked around. They could feel each one of her mighty steps, the power behind each hoof fall. And the tremors that shook their world as Chrysalis walked about.

“Chip!” Chirp hollered to him over the booming sounds of Chrysalis walking “We have to climb up Mom’s tail and try to reach her ears and get her attention! She’ll be able to help us!”

Chirp nodded, since they couldn’t use their wings this was the only option they had. Hopefully they could get her attention in time before she got too big, or worse, sat down again. The two young twins got to work as they began to scale the colossal strands of hair, all the while their colossal mother was blissfully unaware of them as she continued her morning walk across Equestira.

Chapter 3- Colossal Tourist

View Online

To say that the city of Manehatten had been through it’s fair share of trouble throughout the last few days had been an understatement to say the least. Just a few weeks ago, the city had been visited by four of monstrously sized ponies.

The first of these gigantic ponies was named Enterprise pursuit. He was a middle-aged unicorn stallion as well as a Centerlot noble who sported an extremely thick black mustache, a dark gray coat and black mane. He often wore a light grey suit vest with gold highlights. As well as a gold pocket watch attached to a golden chain that was nestled in one of the vest pockets. He even wore an expensive golden monocle on his right eye. Enterprise’s cutie mark was a pile of bits. He owned a vast number of stores and factories that made carts, normally the ones stallions pulled in big cities.

The second one of the titans was the supermodel named Lily Shine. She was also Enterprise’s wife. Lily had a cream coat and a styled, wavy orange mane. Her cutie mark resembled a Lily on its stem. Much like her husband, the unicorn was pretty tall as well. Probably a product of her occupation. She shared a friendly rivalry with Fleur de Lis. She was extremely kindhearted and caring to all, though, she was known to be a little bit of an airhead and kind of ditzy at times. Maybe it ran in the family because that was how she described her second cousin Ditzy Do who worked as a mailmare in Ponyville.

The remaining two titans were named Jet Set and Upper Crust. The husband and wife were part of some of the highest ranked nobles in Canterlot. Alongside other famous names such as Fancy Pants, Fleur-de-lis, Blueblood, and Count Caesar. Jet Set was a famous business pony that had a company that made carts. Some of the more popular ones that were pulled by ponies or the self-driving ones. His wife, Upper Crust, owned multiple chains of hotels all across the Equestria, though most of her income came from Canterlot because of all the tourists who came to the capital to visit.

When they arrived at the city, they only had one goal in mind: to romp around however they pleased and without a care in the world. Ponies had to constantly run out of the way of their building sized hooves as they slammed down on the streets and sidewalk, tearing out enormous chunks of it as the Titans flattened everything in their paths. After the giants had left, leaving behind tons of destruction in their wake, the poor populace had to scramble to try and fix the damages to their once proud city.

Ponies were shaken to say the least from the events. Just the thought of a normal, everyday pony becoming as large and powerful as some ancient monster from legend was terrifying to say the least.

The idea of titans had frightened the populace greatly. So, when another one had come by, they, rightfully so, were scared. But luckily it didn’t look like history would be repeating itself. This time the Titan in question was an extremely large country stallion by the name of Big Macintosh. Residents found out later that he hailed from the town of Ponyville. The same town that the elements of Harmony lived in. And what he did to the city was nothing short of a miracle. He had somehow managed to restore the entire city to its proper glory after it had been ravaged by the nobles. And he even managed to make some new improvements to the city as well.

The ponies there had cheered for Big Macintosh by the time he had finished fixing up the city. As he had departed, they had watched him get even bigger. This was due to a mutation in the growth spell that had been casted onto him. When they had next saw the country apple stallion, enormous wasn’t even enough to describe him. Looming well over thousands of feet tall, he could poke his head above the clouds, sweep aside entire cities with a hoof if he wanted, a smush whole mountains into dust. Somepony that unfathomably huge would surely spell disaster for not only Equestrian, but the whole world, right?

Wrong. In fact, all Big Mac did was act about a pleasant as can be. Albeit he was feeling pretty playful as he too took full advantage of his size. The first thing Big Macintosh did when he returned to Manehatten was scoop the entire city out of the ground. The thousands of Ponies that were held in his gargantuan hoof couldn’t fathom what the giant was planning to do. Flick them away like pests? Squish them? Eat them?

Nope, they were all wrong. The first thing the gigantic stallion did was simply give all the ponies a huge hug, fit for a Titan such as himself. It was then ponies truly trusted Big Macintosh. Despite his colossal size he was still as kind and gentle as can be. And the ponies’ trust for him remained even after he was turned back to normal by the Princesses and Element bearers.

But now there is another Titan on the rise, and she is making her way over the Manehatten at this very moment.

Queen Chrysalis blinked as she looked down in confusion and cocked her head to the side. Laying innocently by her humongous chitin hoof was a city.

A city?” She thought, bewildered “I was sure this was the way to Canterlot. Oh dear, I’m not lost, am I?”

Chrysalis huffed, puffing her cheeks out in disappointment. She looked around at the surrounding landscape, but it did little to help her find any sort of direction. Everything was so tiny from her height it all looked practically the same!

Well, what does one do when they’re lost? Ask for directions of course!” She thought brightly. Chrysalis looked back down at the tiny mystery city thoughtfully. “Though, this city is awfully small. I doubt I’ll be able to hear anypony at all when they’re talking to me, even if I lay on the ground and stick my ear right next to them,”

Down below in the ‘tiny mystery city’ otherwise known as Manehatten, the citizens were in an absolute panic. One minute they were all peacefully enjoying their day and the next, Equestria’s greatest villainess casually strolls up to their city. And she’s over 20,000 feet tall. Ponies were panicking in the streets, bumping into each other as they senselessly ran about, screaming their heads off, fearing what Chrysalis might do to them, their terror echoing through the streets.

Chrysalis meanwhile frowned and wrinkled her snout as she contemplated her predicament. she couldn’t hear the ruckus in the city at all, they were too tiny. “So, what to do?” she wondered as small airship buzzed by her nose. Suddenly an idea hit her. Chrysalis knew she got bigger and more powerful every time she absorbed love. So, will it work in reverse? She had felt a little bit different after she had given her love to the Crystal Empire so they can be sustained and thrive. However, she hadn’t given it much thought because immediately after she had gotten such a massive power boost from the Crystal Ponies’ love as thanks for her taking care of their home. Hence her massive size now.

Well, it’s worth a shot,” Chrysalis thought with a smile as she closed her eyes, opened her mouth, and lowered it closer to the ground. A stream of love, in the form of pink mist began to flow out from her and floated down towards the ground. She didn’t really have a specific place to send all this love. All she could hope for was that it would help as many ponies as possible.

Down below, the ponies gasped as they saw Chrysalis open her mouth and began to lower her head.

“S-S-She’s gonna eat us!” one random mare screamed out, restarting the panic all over again as the shadow of Chrysalis’ head covered the entire city. None of the ponies were prepared for the wave of pink mist that would wash over the entire city seconds after, engulfing everything and everypony in sight. For a moment there was silence as the pink mist lingered. Then, it slowly dissipated. The ponies blinked and looked around at each other in confusion.

“W-We’re alright?” somepony asked hesitantly, sneaking a glance at the gargantuan Queen looming above.

“I suddenly feel all warm and fuzzy inside!” a nearby stallion exclaimed

“Yeah same!” came another voice “that was weird, we were all panicking and running around because of Chrysalis but I don’t feel scared anymore!”

The mayor of Manehatten, who had been in the crowd as well looked up at the sky curiously “Speaking of Chrysalis, what was she even…OH MY GOODNESS!” he shrieked as he gazed up to where Chrysalis had been. And the dramatic change that had followed.

While Chrysalis was busy releasing some of the love stored inside of her, she opened her eyes to reveal a sight she had been hoping for. She was slowly getting smaller!

Chrysalis sighed in relief “Thank goodness that actually worked. It would have been pretty difficult to talk to the little ones if they’re all as small as microbes,” she giggled. Chrysalis watched the city by her hooves steadily get larger until finally she stopped shrinking. The tallest skyscraper visible just came up to her barrel.

She looked around at her new surrounding pleased “Not too shabby if I do say so myself. I’m still pretty big, but not too big. Just big enough to interact with everypony and see the town,” Chrysalis thought. She smirked a bit as she took in the view “Besides, what kind of gal would I be if I didn’t stop to spend some time in the big city?” she giggled to herself.

Chrysalis sniffed the air, a pleased look forming on her face “Not to mention all the ambient love is still swirling around in the air. I can always reabsorb it and grow back to my full size from before after I’m done here,” she thought.

Turning her attention to the ground below she was now able to make out the small forms of the dozens of ponies that littered the streets of the city. All of them were gazing up at here with wide eyes. There didn’t seem to be any fear in them though, instead it seemed to be more…amazement? Chrysalis didn’t really understand why considering everywhere she had gone before had reacted with some fright in one way or another, but hey, she wasn’t going to complain.

“Uh, hi little guys,” Chrysalis raised a foreleg and waved it awkwardly, a wide toothy smile plastered on her face “How’s it going down there?”

“Ummm…H-Hi Queen Chrysalis,” one pony said hesitantly

Squee!

Oh my goodness! They sound absolutely adorable!” Chrysalis thought with delight, her eyes sparkling at the spectacle.

“Ms. Chrysalis?” The mayor of Manehatten began hesitantly “May I ask what you are doing here…?

Chrysalis fixed her gaze on him with a bright smile (causing the mayor to backpedal a few steps) before answering “Oh, I just thought I’d stop by and ask for some directions.” She spoke

“Directions?” the mayor implored

Chrysalis nodded her great head “Yes, you see I was on my way to Canterlot to say hi to the Princesses and I seem to have gotten lost. Could you be so kind as to point me in the right direction?”

The mayor blinked before nodding slowly “W-Well, this city is Manehatten so all you’ll have to do is continuing heading east and you’ll eventually reach it,” he said

Chrysalis brightened as she heard the response “Really? Thank you so much dearie!” she said sweetly.

“Y-y-you’re welcome your majesty,” the mayor stammered out

“Though, now that you mention it, I don’t think I’m ready to leave just yet,” Chrysalis said as a grin began to overtake her.

The mayor felt his blood run cold for a second “Why not?” he asked fearfully as he gazed up at the titan, the reality of her potentially cataclysmic size settling in again in his eyes

Chrysalis gazed around excitedly “Well, it’s not too often I get to simply stop and enjoy myself considering I spend most of my time running my hive. So, I think I’d like to spend some time sightseeing,” she said, “It’s not every day a Queen such as myself gets to go to the *giggle* big city and simply enjoy herself,”

The residents thought it over. Well, putting aside the fact that Equestria’s biggest villainess was now over a couple hundred meters tall, Chrysalis hadn’t really done anything bad since she arrived. In fact, she had been about as polite as they come! It wouldn’t hurt to give her a chance. They had done the same to the Titan sized Big Mac and things had turned out for the better. Besides, giving others a second chance and befriending them is something the Princess Celestia always talked about. Something she had reminded the nation about when Princess Luna had returned from her banishment on the moon.

The crowd looked at each other in contemplation before turning their attention back up to the gigantic changeling queen. A resounding cheer pierced the silence as they shouted their approval to Chrysalis, who grinned at the response. She was definitely going to enjoy her time here.

BOOM! BOOM! BOOM! BOOM!

The ground and buildings themselves trembled and shook as the colossus strolled her way around the city. Various ponies still inside the buildings watched as the gigantic mass of black pass by their windows, bathing them in shadows. Some would even get the occasional scare of their view outside being obstructed by Chrysalis’ huge acid green eye peering inside the building, filled with mirth.

Chrysalis giggled as she leaned back up after she had looked inside another building, waving down to the ponies inside merrily.

Now where should I go first?” She wondered as she gazed around at her surroundings, taking in the sight of the now chest high buildings. Internally she was relieved, expelling the vast amount of love inside her had certainly helped in her side mission of simply relaxing in the city. At least now she could actually interact with everything around her while still maintaining her now signature size.

A metaphorical lightbulb appeared above her head. Since she was in a city as notable and special as Manehattan, why not go around to all the tourist attractions and see them for herself? They are the wonders of the city after all and the main attractions.

Chrysalis nodded her head, a goofy grin adorning her face as she stomped off down street. The ponies down on the paths fleeing from the road as she stormed down the road, each hoof as large as the street itself.

“Oh dear, I’m so sorry little ones!” she called down to them “I’ll try to be more careful walking around,”

And she remained true to her word. A few ponies were stumbling around amidst the shaking from her hoofsteps a few tumbled to the ground, not being able to find their footing from the constant quaking.

A concerned look came over the colossal queen as she noticed them sprawled on the ground. Quickly lighting up her horn, a cloud of her signature acid green magic surrounded those who had fallen like a bubble. The ponies she had picked up instantly felt a strong feeling of warmth and safety. As if Chrysalis was projecting her love and care into the magic itself as she carefully picked them up and gently set down on the sidewalk.

The ponies Chrysalis set down on the ground got to their hooves, still a little dizzy from the vertigo as they shook their heads to clear it. As soon as they did a shadow covered them. They looked up in shock as Chrysalis lowered her huge head down towards them.

“I’m so sorry my dears! Are you alright?” she asked, giving them puppy dog eyes.

“Uh, yes your highness!” one of them called up to her “Thank you for your help!”

Their response was a gigantic buggy snoot being gently pushed in front of them as Chrysalis tenderly nuzzled them. “I’m just glad you’re unharmed,” she said sincerely as she stood back up to her full giant height and continued on her way. A small smile forming as she felt a buildup of love forming behind her in the air emanating from the ponies. She thankfully absorbed some of it, rising in height a little.

Chrysalis soon found herself in the Bridleway Theater District. And the place was absolutely bustling with activity. Here she could see ponies and other creatures of all shapes and sizes (“Though not nearly as big as me!” Chrysalis thought with a giggle) going to and fro as they went about their business. Some were eating at restaurants while others simply sat at cafes talking to friends and loved ones. Soon her massive presence had become known. By now everyone knew Chrysalis meant no harm as they had already seen her shrink down from her Titan size to her current height. They simply smiled and waved at the gigantic monarch, who was all to happy to return the favor happily.

Continuing on through the Theater District Chrysalis soon came across an open field performance in session. There on a nearby field was a live play of Romeo and Juliet in progress! There was a stage built on the grass and around it was a crowd of ponies. Deciding to treat herself a little, Chrysalis laid down on her stomach and folded her forelegs neatly as she watched the performance. Through her emotion sensing abilities, she could see just how much heart and soul these talented actors and actresses put into their craft. Emotions on full display as they reached the climax and ending of the play. Everypony stomped their hooves as they applauded. Even Chrysalis got in on it, tapping her huge hoof on the ground, causing everypony to bounce up in the air and back down as the ground shook.

Once that was done, she got back up and continued on her way. Saying goodbye to the Theater District. Her eyes were set in front of her. There was one location that she had been eyeing up ever since she decided to stop by in Manehattan. The famous mare stature standing proudly on its little island. Chrysalis grinned as she saw it. This will definitely be a good spot to take some pictures.

There were already tourists milling about on this island. They were all appreciating the sight in front of them. The stature was given to Equestria by a foreign nation several decades ago after Princess Celestia had given them much needed aid after an economic collapse. One day they pulled up to Manehattan harbor when the princess was visiting and gifted her and the entire nation the statue. Ever since then it’s been sitting proudly on an island off the cost of Manehattan. Ponies were scattered about the base of the statue reading about its history, some Pegasi were in the air snapping photos of the statue, and others were inside the crown area taking in the view from above.

One filly with her parents inside the crown was using the binoculars inside to gaze out at the city ahead. But her eyes fell on a rather peculiar sight. Walking though the ocean towards them like a giant monster from a movie was Chrysalis. Immediately those present on the island became aware of the behemoth heading towards them.

Chrysalis waved over at the ponies “Oh don’t mind me dears! I’m simply just another tourist as of today wanting to see the sights,” she said. Chrysalis stepped onto the island, causing it to shudder under her weight. The ponies buckled their knees as the ground shook, nearly making them loose their footing as Chrysalis approached the statue.

“So, this is the famous Mare Statue,” she remarked giddily as she slowly circled it, each one of her heavy steps causing it to jostle around, bouncing around the ponies inside it. After she finished inspecting it Chrysalis walked back over to the front of it and threw her foreleg around it like she was giving it a hug. She even tilted the entire statue and the base it was on towards her and rested it on her side like it was nothing.

“Woah!” some of the ponies inside cried out as they felt the structure shudder and groan from the sudden weight and shifting position

Chrysalis’ horn glowed green and a gigantic instant camera poofed into existence, held aloft by her magic as she floated up to her. She smiled wide and clicked the button, snapping a photo of herself holding the now fun sized mare statue. Chrysalis giggled as she watched the photo print itself out. She gently released the statue and set it back straight as she took the photo in her magic and examined it.

“Now this will do nicely for my scrapbook,” Chrysalis said as she poofed away both the camera and photo. As she was leaning back down to peer into the statue’s crown, some of the Pegasi form earlier floated up to her face, calling up to her and trying to get the colossal queen’s attention.

“Your highness!” one of them called out “Down here!”

Chrysalis blinked and looked down, spotting two mares wearing press hats.

“Hi Queen Chryalis, we’re from the Daily Equestrian. Is it ok if we get a quick picture of you to publish in our article of you visiting our city?” one of them asked, buzzing around her face.

Chrysalis blinked, then smiled “Well of course you can girls! Just be sure you get my good side!” she said playfully to the two of them.

As the two reporters got into position they watched as Chrysalis open her mouth and began to reabsorb some of the ambient love she had expelled out into the air. With their mouths agape they watched her grow even more until the statue in front of her became no taller than a figurine. She was now standing taller than the island, the tip of her horn just bushing the lowest clouds in the sky.

Chrysalis smirked mischievously as she reached down to where the green statue was. Ponies on the ground dashed away as they watched the colossal black chitin hoof lower itself from the sky and grasp the entire statue. Effortlessly tearing it out of the ground, leaving behind a large crater where it had been.

The two mares from the press stared up in shock as Chrysalis raised the statue up to the heavens where her massive head was. They gulped as she looked back down at them “Ready when you are!” Chrysalis boomed joyfully.

The two press mares shared a glance before flying up even higher, trying to match Chrysalis’ new size. When they finally reached her colossal face Chrysalis got into position. She sat back on her hind legs in the ocean, the water level barely passing her legs, and struck a silly pose. She had one eye closed as she winked at the camera, stuck out her tongue playfully, and held up the mare statue. Even the ponies inside got in on the action, some of them poking their heads out from the crown and waving at the camera while others were hoisted by Chrysalis’ magic and set down on her muzzle and in her mane.

The members of the press giggled and began to snap away. The ponies and changeling occasionally switching up their poses as they did so.

“Thank you, Queen Chrysalis! I think we got enough!” one of the mares called up to her. Chrysalis smiled as she levitated the ponies that were on her back into the statue. “You’re welcome my dear. I was more than happy to help. Good luck to the both of you writing your article. I know you’ll do a good job,” she said encouragingly. The pair thanked her and shot off back to the mainland.

Chrysalis meanwhile was checking over to make sure everypony was safely back inside the statue before lowering it back down towards the ground. The ponies still standing on the island scattered again away from the growing shadow as the gargantuan hoof began to grow on the grown as the titanic owner of the hoof set down the statue as easily as one would set down a coin.

“There we are little one, wasn’t that fun?” Chrysalis asked sweetly. The ponies inside the statue cheered as they all leaned out the openings and waved up to the enormous changeling. Chrysalis looked down happily at the response before turning her attention to the sky. It was nearly high noon.

Horsefeathers, looks like I’ll need to get going soon if I’m going to make it to Canterlot,” She thought disappointed. Chrysalis gazed back out at the city, sad that she had to leave it behind so soon. There was still much she didn’t get a chance to see yet. “But that doesn’t mean I can’t come back,” She thought, her ears perking up again “I can always come back some time later and see the rest of the city. Maybe I’ll take the rest of my babies with me too. They’ve all worked so hard for the hive. They definitely could use a vacation.”

Nodding to herself Chrysalis stood back up out of the water after waving goodbye to everypony on the island and began to head back to Manehattan. Now that she was much bigger than before she had to be extra careful where she stepped. With the buildings now only coming up to her ankles she carefully navigated around the city line and back out towards the outskirts. Once there Chrysalis waved goodbye to Manehatten, promising to come back and visit again at some point. The ponies all sent their gratitude towards the Queen which Chrysalis was all too happy to absorb, along with all of the rest of the ambient love she had expelled from herself earlier. Once more rising back up to her full Titanic size.

“Goodbye Manehatten!” Chrysalis thundered, her voice shaking the ground “I’ll be sure to drop by again sometimes!” And with that, using the instructions that the mayor had given her, she resumed her path towards Canterlot where the Princesses, Mane 6, and Spike were waiting.

Chip and Chirp were not having a good day. It had started off alright, with them hanging around in their rooms in the hive coming up with a bunch of new ideas of stuff to build, but it quickly went downhill from there. First, they came up with a love vacuum invention, then a changeling cloning device, and even a flying cart. But that had all been cut short when their mother had returned from the pony kingdom again with a mysterious book. Suddenly they found their relaxing morning being dedicated to extracting all the magic from the mysterious book and diverting all of the power into a ray.

It wasn’t long until one of the drones in the hive stopped by to check in on them. He had said that the book that they were experimenting on was the one responsible for all the recent sightings of the pony titans that they had seen stomping around Equestria. Titans so big that they could be seen from the hive. The two of them still shuddered in fear as they recalled just how big that red earth pony with the apple cutie mark had become. They were afraid that he’d come over to the hive and get revenge on the changelings for what happened at the Canterlot wedding. But thankfully that didn’t happen. But the drone told them that Queen Chrysalis wanted them to build a ray that would derive all the magic from the book safely into her.

And there’s only one reason why she would order them to do that. Their Queen wanted to become the next Titan. After a few hours of painstaking labor, they finally finished the growth ray. Only for their mother to use it almost immediately, outgrow the hive entirely in a matter of seconds, and be completely unaware to the fact that her two young sons were trapped in her tail heir while she grew. Tangling them up in hair strands the size of tree trunks when she left the hive. However, as the day dragged on, much to their chagrin, their mother only seemed to keep getting bigger and bigger each passing moment. Initially Chip and Chirp’s plan was to climb up the hair strands and try to get up to Chrysalis’ ears so they can let her know they were there. But things only kept getting harder as their Queen’s size increased more and more. A single hair strand, once as big as trees were now reaching the same size as a building.

“EEEEEK!” Chirp squealed out as the strand he was on swayed from side to side from the titanic steps of their mother. Chip wasn’t fairing much better. It was nearly impossible for them to use their wings and fly due to how close together each strand was. And their goal of reaching the top of the tail only seemed to be getting further and further away the more Chrysalis kept getting bigger. But they eventually got a lucky break. They were only a quarter of the way there. Yet somehow inexplicably they saw Chrysalis getting smaller.

“What’s going on?!” Chip called out to his twin brother

Chirp looked lost in thought as he contemplated the potential reasoning for this. “I think I got it!” he said “I think mom figured out that the more love she absorbed caused her to get bigger. Sort of like adding fuel to a fire. The love she’s taking in is adding to the love that caused her to grow. That’s how she’s been getting bigger. Mom must have realized that if she released that love from her body then she’d be able to shrink back down,”

They soon realized however that even though Queen Chrysalis was getting smaller, she was still very much a giant. Though thankfully the hair strands they were on weren’t as overwhelmingly big anymore and they were able to see their surroundings.

The two brothers looked around at their new location “Why do you think mom came to the pony city?” Chirp asked

“I don’t know,” Chip replied with confusion “But I’m not going to waste this opportunity. Mom’s smaller now. We can totally climb up her tail now. Maybe now we can get her attention and she can take us back to the hive!”

Chirp nodded enthusiastically and the two resumed their climb with renewed vigor and hope. Covering much more ground than they were before thanks to Chrysalis’ greatly reduced size. After a little while they noticed that Chrysalis didn’t seem to actually be destroying anything or conquering Equestria like she had said she was going to do originally. In fact, the way she was acting almost seemed…friendly?

“Hey Chirp, does mom seem off to you? She’s been acting weird ever since she got zapped by the ray,” Chip said

Chirp nodded “I noticed that too. But I’m not entirely sure yet why she’s acting like this. Maybe she really enjoys being huge?” he suggested.

Chip rolled his eyes “You’re probably right. Mom’s already the biggest Changeling in the hive, she has the biggest and most important rank, maybe now she just wants to be the biggest in the world,” he giggled.

After a little while later they finally reached the base of Chrysalis’ tail. “Finally!” the two of them cheered, prancing around in place happily. After so long trapped on those ridiculously large hair strands, they were finally past them. But of course, the celebration didn’t last long.

The world shifted suddenly as they felt Chrysalis move again. She was now at the Mare statue, taking in more love so she can grow back to bigger heights for her photoshoot in the Daily Equestrian. Chip and Chirp watched in shock as they saw Chrysalis’ form begin to increase in size once again. But to make matters worse, the ground beneath them, Chrysalis’ back end began to shift vertically as she began to sit down after she picked up the Mare statue so she could pose for a picture with it.

Chip and Chirp squealed in fear as they began to slide backwards. Chip grabbed Chirp’s hoof and took to the sky. But due their inexperience of flying as well as the added weight they didn’t stay airborne for long. Chrysalis sat down in the ocean with a THOOM! Sending a shockwave of water rippling away from the impact zone. And with a squeak of fear, the two tiny brothers fell down seconds after. Bouncing harmlessly off of Chrysalis’ tail dock and into the water with a Sploosh!

They surfaced, spluttering water from their mouth.

“Are you ok?” Chirp asked

“Uh-huh,”

The two looked up as they were casted in an immense shadow, staring up at the back of their ten thousand foot tall mother towering high above them as she sat down in the ocean for her impromptu photoshoot.

“I can’t see what mom’s doing up there,” Chip sighed as he treaded water “she’s too big,”

“Yeah,” Chirp said with exhaustion “We should hurry and swim back over to her tail. That way when she gets back up, we don’t lose any ground. It’d suck if we have to climb back up her tail again. Or even worse, she leaves without us and we get captured by the ponies.”

Chip nodded and the two swam back over to Chrysalis’ tail. They thankfully reached it just in time as she begun to get back up.

“Hurry!” Chip squeaked and he grabbed onto the base of the tail, with Chirp following suite.

RUMMMMBBBLLEE

As Chrysalis got back up the air around the two tiny hatchlings shook rapidly, causing them to struggle to keep their grip. But thankfully they managed to do so. Their mother now beginning to make her exit from Manehattan.

Chip sighed in relief “Looks like that’s over. All we have to do now is run across mom’s back, climb her mane, and reach her ears. Looks like it’ll be smooth sailing from here!” he said

But just as he said that Chrysalis reabsorbed the rest of the ambient love around her. Restoring her back to her Titan size. The length to run across her back changed from the size of a city block to the size of the entire badlands.

Chirp looked on at their new challenge with exhaustion “It was going so well…” he groaned as the two of them began their long walk across the smooth black chitin and towards the colossal mass of green mane that loomed several miles away. Trying to keep their balance as the powerful steps of their mother sent shudders along their living terrain.

Princess Celestia, co-ruler of Equestria, and Princess of the sun was having another average day. She begun her day doing her morning routine as per usual. Waking up at 6 in the morning so she can raise the sun and say good morning to her sister. After taking a relaxing bath she brushed her mane, tail, and fur before donning her crown and regalia and headed down to the dining hall.

Blueblood was already there, eating his food quietly while finishing up some paperwork. He looked up when he saw his aunt enter the dining hall “H-H-Hi auntie,” he stammered out before ducking back down behind the mug of orange juice.

“Good morning Blueblood,” Celestia greeted warmly as she took her place at the head of the table “Did you sleep well my dear nephew?” she asked gently. Ever since the Titan incident and Blueblood’s subsequent punishment by the hooves of Luna he had become far more timid and frightened of both of them. Celestia was getting worried. He usually now just kept quiet, did his work in silence, didn’t leave the castle, barely ate, and for the most part seemed to go out of his way to avoid both her and Luna. Luna in particular. Celestia tried to talk with Blueblood to see if she could do anything to help or see if he simply needed somepony to talk too but every time she tried Blueblood would make up some excuse to leave.

“I-I did,” he said hesitantly

“I’m glad to hear that,” Celestia said sincerely. The two were quiet for a bit, Celestia simply eating her breakfast in silence while Blueblood feverishly continued to write on his papers.

“May I ask what you’re working on Blueblood?” Celestia asked as she nibbled on another bite of red velvet cake.

“O-Oh, it’s just t-t-the tax reform papers. I’ve b-been going through some of the older o-o-ones and putting in some better policies to suggest later. Reduce the taxes of lower income households and maybe try to bump up the taxes a little on the ponies that could chip in because they have the e-extra b-b-bits. Like the nobles,” Blueblood said.

Celestia raised an eyebrow “Wouldn’t that mean you’d be increasing taxes on yourself?” she asked.

“W-well yeah. But I figured I might as well do what I can to help,” Blueblood said “I-I-I wouldn’t want to not pitch in or anything. Being a noble means I have to try and be better than that,”

Celestia didn’t say anything as she sipped her tea but internally, she felt a spark of pride. It seemed that even though Blueblood’s outer mannerisms may have changed his inner ones has changed as well. He was genuinely trying to make things better in his own way.

The door to the dining hall opened and Luna walked in holding a teddy bear in her magic. “Good morning sister!” Luna called as she took a seat and called the waiter over.

“Good morning Luna,” Celestia said.

Luna placed her order to the waiter before turning her attention to the right where Blueblood was trying to not be noticed as he ducked lower towards his papers.

“…Blueblood,” Luna said stiffly with a nod

Blueblood squeaked as he hurriedly collected his papers, quill, and ink and shoved them into his bag. “G-g-g-good morning, Auntie Luna. Sorry I can’t stay long I just remembered I have something important to do, bye!” he practically scampered off.

Celestia sighed “He didn’t even finish his food,” she said.

She called over a waiter “Please have Blueblood’s breakfast sent up to his room,” she said. The waiter nodded and did so. Celestia sighed “Poor thing was about to go hungry again.”

Luna raised an eyebrow “Any reason why Blueblood hasn’t been eating properly?”

“If I had to guess, Blueblood is punishing himself for the whole titan incident. He hates the fact that he allowed the company he kept to influence his thoughts on how he views others. Looking down on the common pony like much of how the nobility does today. He’s completely isolated himself from all the nobles he used to talk to and rarely leaves the castle. Though I’ve noticed he’s been trying to change and add several laws to aid our little ponies who are less fortunate than others. He’s been doing a very good job of that. Though I will have to eventually speak to him about his silent self-proclaimed punishment. It simply is not healthy,” Celestia said

Luna rolled her eyes “If the brat wants to punish himself over what he did then I say let him,” she muttered “1000 years ago and he would have been severely disciplined for his actions. What care have we for something he is willingly doing to himself?”

“This isn’t 1000 years ago Lulu,” Celestia said giving her younger sister a reproachful glare “And regardless of his past actions we cannot simply stand by and let our nephew do this to himself. It is not good for his health, and it would be completely irresponsible on our parts for not doing anything. We’re his aunts Lulu! His family! And right now Blueblood needs our help. We should set some time aside in the future to talk to him and offer him some help. And you need to talk to him as well. I’m certain you’ve noticed how jumpy he’s become around you because of your punishment. You should have a chat with him and maybe he’ll find it in his heart to forgive you.”

“I don’t care about his forgiveness,” Luna muttered as she shoveled another spoonful of pasta into her mouth

“Luna!”

“Fine! I’ll talk to him! Happy?” Luna asked

Celestia exhaled heavily “Yes. Thank you, Luna. I know you’re still angry for what happened, but you can’t keep holding that anger forever. It isn’t good. The last time you did something like this I ended up having to banish you for 1000 years,”

At this Luna’s ears flopped down “Yes sister,” she said solemnly.

Celestia leaned over and nuzzled Luna “You won’t be alone sister. I’ll be right there too. We both can confront this problem together to bring our family back together,” she said

“Thank you, Tia, I’d like that,” Luna said with a small smile.

But as the two of them broke apart and resumed eating, the door to the dining hall burst open and a guard ran though.

“Your highnesses! You need to see this immediately!” he said panicky brandishing a newspaper

“What is it my little pony?” Celestia asked kindly as she took another sip of tea

“We just received the latest copy of the Daily Equestrian, and you won’t believe what’s on the front page!” The guard said levitating the paper over to the royal sisters.

Celestia took a glance at the front page. Her eyes skimming the title and picture before spitting out her tea in shock. All over Luna.

“Tia!” Luna wailed “My fur! I just did it!”

But Celestia didn’t reply, her eyes were fixated on the front page. There, plain as day was a picture of Chrysalis. But that wasn’t all. She was the size of a Titan now, posing for the picture while holding the famous mare statue in Manehatten in her hoof like it was nothing more than a toy.

“Uh, Luna? we have a problem,”

Chapter 4- Parental Guidance

Thimble Turner huffed and puffed as he loaded another bushel of cotton into a wooden cart. There. That made another two hundred. Fastening himself up to the yolk of the small, colt sized cart, he began to pull it out of the fields and towards his family house.

his life had taken a bit of an unusual turn over the past few weeks. His quiet and generally isolated lifestyle had been replaced by series of strange and fantastical events that left him with a new big sister and his family now in the limelight. It had all started off normally one day, with him coming back home from the market with supplies for his parents. But he could have never predicted what would have happened next.

The entire town had started shaking rhythmically. Everypony had thought that it was an earthquake. But with the frequency of the shakings, they all realized pretty quickly that wasn’t the case. And pretty soon they found themselves at the mercy of, not a natural disaster, but a pony. An impossibly large pony. A mare so large the mere sight of her couldn’t be contained in their field of vision.

Panting, he emerged from the fields and wheeled the cart along with all of its precious cargo over to the storage cellar that was built into his house. Where the subject of his thoughts was just pulling up, hauling with a much larger cart of her own. Sturdy Step was her name. At one point she was a national professional boxer, somepony that always made the headlines whenever she was in a match and had tons of merchandise. So of course, Thimble was a huge fan of her. Then one day Sturdy’s (now ex) coltfriend, Prince Blueblood, had invited her over to discuss a plan he and a few of his associates had been concocting. Something about using a growth spell to become giants. To which she ended up going along with the plan.

Thimble paused. Now that he thought about it, his parents and Sturdy haven’t really told him why Sturdy had decided to grow into a Titan. Something about telling him when he was older because it was personal to Sturdy. But he was grown up! He was almost 10!

He shook his head, but that didn’t matter right now. What mattered was after Sturdy had gone along with the plan, all the nobles had split up, each one left to their own devices to do whatever they wanted around the kingdom. It wasn’t like anypony could stop them. Sturdy was using that time to do an impromptu fan meet and greet. Supersized of course.

And of course, that was when he had met her when she had arrived at Oakenwood. Oakenwood was Sturdy’s first stop for the day and at the time she had not gotten used to her newfound power and might. So, she accidently swept up Thimble in her tail and unknowingly taken him along for the ride for the rest of the day.

Sturdy panted, whipping sweat from her brow as she deposited her cargo inside the storage celler. “Alright, that’s another load. How many are we up to now Law?” she asked.

Standing next to the cellar door was Sturdy’s parole officer True Law. He technically wasn’t supposed to help out while Sturdy was serving her community sentence, but he decided to make an acceptation and crunch the numbers for the plants they were bringing in because he knew the full story behind the noble Titans. You see, out of all of them that had become gigantic, Sturdy was the only one who hadn’t really done anything bad. There was no law against a pony becoming huge, and she never once put anypony in danger. She didn’t even cause any damage unlike the other nobles. Any damage she did cause she used her magic to repair. Really the only reason she was getting punished was because she was affiliated with the other nobles and willingly went along with the plan. Though the Princesses did show leniency towards her.

“We’re up to 420 bags of cotton now,” Law said as he flipped through the pages on the clipboard he was holding. Sturdy sighed in exhaustion and plopped down on her hunches “At this rate we’ll be done in, like, a million years!” she exclaimed with frustration.

“Yeah! What big sis said!” Thimble squeaked as he sat down in a similar manner next to Sturdy, earning a chuckle from Law and Sturdy.

“Don’t get me wrong kiddo, I’m happy your family has so many plants now. But yeesh! That other Titan kinda, really overdid it with how many plants he grew,” Sturdy said ruffling Thimble’s mane.

Law nodded as he set down the clipboard. “Well, I wouldn’t be so quick to judge. In a span of a day that single stallion managed to save not only the livelihood of not only your hosts, but the entire town as well. Honestly, I didn’t think it was possible for a Titan to do something like this. Because of all of the destructive power they hold, no offence Sturdy, when he first arrived I thought we were going to get squished or something. But instead, he gave the townsfolks another chance. I’d say that’s something to commend. It’s a shame we never got a chance to find out who he was or thank him,”

Thimble awkwardly looked off to the side. He alone found out the mystery Titan’s identity because only he managed to get a look at his cutie mark No one else had a clue as to who it was. The titan’s name was Big Macintosh. He was an apple farmer living in Ponyville that his parents had met only a few weeks ago. Ever since then, they’ve made regular visits to Ponyville to visit the Apple family and buy their famous apple products. Thimble even managed to befriend the big friendly stallion. But the real kicker to all this was the fact that Big Macintosh kept his powers. He isn’t public about it however, in fact, as far as the kingdom was concerned, he was perfectly normal. Though Thimble would occasionally see his mountainous figure out and about late at night enjoying an evening stroll.

Sturdy sighed as she glanced at Law “It’s no worries, Law. If anything, the only thing that sucks right now is all the plants we have to harvest. And the rest of the town too! The big guy really made the plants grow wild,” the boxer said

“Don’t worry Sturdy!” Thimble squeaked, scrambling to his hooves and puffing out his chest “We’ll be sure to get this done in no time!” he said.

Sturdy gave him a faint smile “Yeah, you’re right kiddo. Let’s get back to work.” She said. With a groan she slowly rose back up to her hooves and stretched like a cat. Sturdy yawned and cocked her head from side to side, loosening up her muscles “Alright, let’s go.” She said, grabbing her cart and hooking herself back up to it.

Thimble grinned and did the same to his mini cart, looking at Sturdy proudly ‘Let’s have a competition! Whoever harvests the most cotton by the end of the day gets to eat all the broccoli at dinner tonight!” he challenged

Sturdy smirked while Law stifled a giggle behind a hoof at the childish challenge “Alright squirt, you got yourself a deal. Just remember, when big sis beats you, remember this while you’re munching on a whole bowl of broccoli: always remember to eat your greens!” she laughed as the two dashed off back into the fields.

Thimble scurried back to his spot from before and began to once more, pick cotton at a rapid-fire pace “Gotta beat big sis so she’ll be the one with all the vegetables tonight!” he thought. The sun was now at high noon. At this rate Thimble was sure he could beat Sturdy before time ran out!

Or at least that was what he thought was going to happen.

About an hour later the little colt found himself absolutely pooped out. Exhausted from all the time he spent out in the field in the sweltering sun. He fell down on his belly with a squeak, splaying out his limbs in fatigue

Ok, maybe this wasn’t such a good idea,” he thought glumly as he stared up at the clear blue sky “Stupid cotton! Why’d there have to be so much growing now? I wish it could just pick itself.”

Thimble sighed, the odds of that miracle happening was pretty low. He knows sooner or later he’d just have to bite the bullet and get moving on those cotton plants for his parents so they could make more hats for the family business. Thimble gave a resigned grumble and slowly stumbled back up to his little hooves and feverishly continued to pick the fluffy cotton patches. Just wishing these chores could end so he could go play.

Now, given the past events that had been going on all day, it is safe to assume that Thimble’s wish may just get granted. The miracle he was hoping for was fast approaching the small and quaint town of Oakenwood. A rather big miracle. And she went by the name Queen Chrysalis.

“Nearly there now Chryssy old girl, nearly there!” The newly enlarged Chrysalis said to herself. Fresh from her impromptu break from her supersized tour of Manehatten, Queen Chrysalis had soon found herself back on her trek to Canterlot. She had been pleasantly surprised beforehand to find out that expelling the love she had absorbed earlier allowed herself to shrink. This allowed her to actually visit Manehatten while still maintaining a relatively massive height. Fitting for a Changeling like herself bearing the Queen status. She had been around the height of one of those Kaiju creatures from those books that she keeps catching her young twin sons Chip and Chirp reading about in their downtime.

And she was thankful that all it took was to reabsorb all the love in the air again to return to her Titan size, allowing her to traverse the country much more easily as she made her way to Canterlot.

Though I’m still contemplating what I should say to all of the ponies when I get there,” She thought “No doubt some of them are still cross with me after my previous visit to Canterlot. ‘Oh hi Celestia darling! So sorry about what happened at the wedding. Mind if we become friends now?”

Chrysalis rolled her mountain sized eyes and chuckled to herself

Ah yes, that would go swimmingly I’m sure,” she thought sarcastically to herself “Now what can I do to show that I want to be friends with them now?”

Chrysalis pondered this, lost in thought as she kept walking, not really paying attention to the ground.

Suddenly her ears perked up “I got it!” she said out loud “Hugs and cuddles! The tried-and-true method to making anyone your friend! That’s sure to work. And maybe a little game while we’re at it,”

Squeak! Squeak! Squeak!

Chrysalis froze at the noise reached her ears and slowly looked down, glancing around at the ground. There, right next to her hind hoof was a small village that she had nearly squished as she had walked by.

“Oh goodness! I’m so sorry little ones! I didn’t notice you down there!” Chrysalis cried out woth concern, leaning in towards the tiny village. The ponies down below began to scream and run around in a panic as Chrysalis’ gargantuan muzzle lowered itself from the sky towards them. Once Chrysalis set her snoot down on the ground next to the village, she began doing puppy dog eyes “Here, let me make it up to you!”

If ponies weren’t panicking before they sure were now. Queen Chrysalis withdrew her muzzle from the ground and lit up her horn. The signature green magical glow of the changelings surrounded the entire village. The flea sized ponies began to scamper around in a terror as their surrounds began to shake around like an earthquake. The town began to rise out of the ground, still on the chunk of earth it resided on, and supported by Chrysalis’ magic. It settled down onto her outstretched hoof, fitting on it neatly.

Chrysalis raised the town up to her eyes with a bright smile, not able to hear the confused screaming of the denizens down below because of how ridiculously huge she was, though she could fathom a guess as to what they were making a ruckus about.

“Awwww, it’s alright my little dears!” Chrysalis cooed “Did the big, scary, and powerful Queen frighten you? Don’t worry, I know the perfect remedy to this. Hugs of course!”

The ponies down in the village gulped as they watched the continent sized mare pull them into the worlds biggest hug. Their surroundings darkened as the sky above was filled with the image of Chrysalis’ black chitinous body.

All the ponies braced themselves for the inevitable collision, but it didn’t come. Instead, they found themselves pinned to a comfortably warm and surprisingly soft surface as Chrysalis gently hugged the village against her barrel.

The colossal changeling queen smiled as she kept up the hug for a good long while, even adding a slight rocking movement to it, before she carefully pulled the village back and held it back up to her eyes.

“There we go my little darlings, isn’t that much better?” She asked sweetly

Chrysalis was pleased to hear the squeaks of gratitude arising from the village as well as the sweet smell of love wafting though the air as well. An addition dose for her good deed which she gladly absorbed. Hey, it was given freely after all. Chrysalis set the village back down on the ground and waved them good-bye as she walked away. The village ponies watching in amazement amidst the shaking ground from the gargantuan queen’s hoofsteps as she departed.

Chrysalis’ nose flared as she sniffed the air, she could smell more love in the sky around her. Truth be told, she had actually been using it as a trail of sorts. As much as Chrysalis prided herself in being a fantastic queen with great tracking skills (as to be expected from a changeling) she had to admit, finding Canterlot from her size was a pretty difficult task. Even with the directions she had obtained from Manehatten previously. Because she was several miles tall, all of Equestria pretty much looked like a flat green field. With the occasional discolored protrusions in the ground that was usually a mountain, village, or city. And of course, the hair thin lines of blue that were rivers. Unfortunately, all of those things were slowly getting smaller the more Chrysalis got bigger. Luckily, she came up with a way to direct herself to Canterlot.

Though I must admit, I am quite proud for coming up with this strategy,” She thought, smirking a little “It’s quite simple. Since there is so much love in the air, it would make sense there would be more love in some places than others. Namely populated areas. And since I can smell it, as well as the fact that I know what most of the love in Canterlot smells like because of my time there, I should find it in no time!”

And that was her strategy for most of the time since leaving Manehatten. Follow the trail of love, get bigger and better while doing so, and make her way to Canterlot. It was a win-win for her!

But as she began to get close something happened. She was still sniffing the love in the air and following its trail when suddenly a completely different scent assaulted her nose, piercing though the sweet smell of love like it was pepper.

Chrysalis’ eyes shot open at the unexpected and unpleasant smell, her eyes watering and her nose wrinkled.

“A-A-ACHOOOO!!!!” She sneezed loudly, her thunderous voice echoed across the entire kingdom and shook the land. Ponies all over the Equestria were freaking out at the unexpected 6.0 magnitude earthquake. The clouds in the sky were split apart from her sneeze, even poor Cloudsdale got caught in the crossfire, getting blown away from receiving the blunt of it and getting blasted with Chrysalis’ hurricane grade sneeze.

Chrysalis sniffled and shook her head “My goodness that was unpleasant,” she muttered, collapsing on her hunches as she rubbed the tears from her eyes. Residents and structures within a 10-mile radius were bounced up into the air as Chrysalis’ rump slammed down on the earth, fracturing it beneath its weight.

What was that atrocious emotion I smelled? It definitely was NOT love. It seemed more like…anger perhaps? Accompanied by a portion of frustration and just a hint of exhaustion to worsen things,” Chrysalis thought, shuddering at the thought.

She looked around at her, examining her surroundings as she tried to pinpoint where that awful amalgamation of emotions was coming from. After a second, the giant queen zeroed in on what looked like another village right next to where she was sitting. Chrysalis snorted in a very equine like way out of frustration as she lowered her head towards the miniature town. “It would appear I have gotten a little too big,” she murmured. Absorbing and collecting love all day had really done a number on her. She was miles bigger than she had been originally when she left the hive, her power had skyrocketed into unfathomable heights, and she enjoyed every moment of it. Though now she was so big, this village looked no bigger than a few scattered crumbs on the ground.

I could make myself smaller by expelling some love inside me. But…I honestly don’t want too. It’s too much work to go around and eat it all again after I’m done. I know! Why not do this instead?” Chrysalis’ horn glowed green, and a magnifying glass appeared. Giggling, she took it in her magic and leaned back down, holding the glass to her eye as she examined the tiny ponies down below. “Funny, usually it’s the ponies using a magnifying glass to examine teeny tiny little bugs and their habitats. Talk about a role reversal. Now, it’s the queen bug observing a bunch of itty-bitty little ponies and their village,” Chrysalis chuckled to herself

She was able to spot hundreds of speck sized ponies all scurrying about. Some of them pointing up in the air as they watched the sky get replaced by a giant green eye looking down at them through a magnifying glass.

Chrysalis laid down to get more comfortable. She rested her head against one of her hoofs as she continued to watch the tiny civilization with a small smile. Though there was something odd about the town that she noticed. All over the town was an unusually high amount of greenery. Plants of abnormally large sizes were everywhere. Fruits were overflowing stands in markets, flowers were unusually large and plentiful, and the fields in farms were completely green because it was teeming with whatever was planted at each farm. She’d imagine for ponies as tiny as they are, all these greenery

Chrysalis ignored that for a second and focused. Trying to sense where those unpleasant emotions had originally come from. Maybe it was a pony just having a bad day. If that was the case, it was nothing a giant hug from momma Chrysalis couldn’t solve!

She zeroed in on the mix of negative emotions she had smelled before and began to trace it. Much like how she was tracing the location of Canterlot though smell alone. It lead over to a farm near the back of the village. There, Chrysalis could see three ponies there. A mare, a stallion, and a small colt. Though what caught her attention was the colt and the absolutely enormous load of cotton he was pulling in an undersized wagon.

Is…is he serious? He could strain himself or pull a muscle doing that!” Chrysalis thought, concern washing over her as she entered “mother mode”

“Excuse me? Little one? May I have a moment of your time?” Chrysalis asked the little pony softly, trying to not cause another earthquake with her voice while moving the magnifying glass over to where the tiny barn was.

Chrysalis saw the little colt jump up in the air in shock at the realization that he was being addressed. He looked up at the sky and spotted the humongous green eye in the sky. His eyes went wide. Chrysalis silently winced. She probably should have prepared herself for the inevitable fear the colt would feel when he saw her.

Honestly, I probably should have approached this better,” Chrysalis thought “Why, I should have-”

“Oh, wow miss! You’re really, REALLY big!” the colt squeaked out.

Chrysalis’ thoughts came to a crashing halt. She slowly blinked in confusion and focused back on the colt “Little one…are you not frightened of me?” Chrysalis asked uncertainly

“Nope!” the brown colt answered brightly “And my name is Thimble miss! Thimble Turner!”

“O-Oh, I see. Ahem, why are you pushing around such a heavy load of cargo Thimble? Surely you have somepony to help you? You’ll strain yourself trying to carry that much,” Chrysalis said with concern.

“Oh, I do have help miss!” Thimble said as excitedly as any child his age would “My big sis is in another part of the field picking her own cotton cargo. We’re trying to get most of the field done before the day’s finished!” Thimble watched as the giant eye behind the magnifying glass bugged out as Chrysalis registered what he was saying

“T-This entire field by yourselves?!” Chrysalis asked incredulously “But there’s so much. Here and all over this village. Where’s your parents? Surely, they can lend a hoof too?”

“Well today they couldn’t because-”

“THAT’S ENOUGH!” another voice yelled out.

Thimble and Chrysalis looked over to the side of the field to see two more ponies dashing over. One of them was a furious looking white mare with sky blue highlights in her mane and sporting a blue headband. The other one was a guard stallion who was looking up at Chrysalis’ eye with an apprehensive look on his face.

The mare jumped in front of Thimble Turner protectively and pointed an accusatory hoof up at the sky where Chrysalis was looking down at the village “You’re Queen Chrysalis aren’t you!” she yelled up at the giant changeling. Meanwhile Thimble poked his head out from behind her and stared up at Chrysalis with newfound wonder “Oh wow! So you’re Queen Chrysalis!” he said in awe.

“What are you doing here? Gonna try and harvest this village for its love or something mean like that?” The white mare asked

“Oh, dear heavens, of course not young filly!” Chrysalis recoiled a little “That could seriously hurt all of you dear little ponies if I drain love from this size,”

“When what are you doing here?” The mare asked.

“Oh, well, I was just passing by when I noticed a very unpleasant jumble of emotions. It was coming from this village. More specifically from this farm. So, I decided to investigate,” Chrysalis answered honestly “I saw little Thimble down there struggling with his cotton load and I was going to offer to help him,”

“Yeah right! You’re one of Equestria’s biggest villains! There’s no way you’d do something like that,” The mare hollered.

Chrysalis sighed “What’s your name young filly?” she asked.

The mare blinked, clearly not expecting that question “Oh, I’m Sturdy Step. You already know Thimble, and this is True Law,” she said.

“Well Sturdy, I can assure you that I harbor no ill intention to you, this village, or anypony else in equestrian anymore,” Chrysalis said “All I wish is for us all to live peacefully,”

“R-really?” The stallion named True Law spoke up nervously, though Chrysalis could smell a hint of hope sparking within him.

“Indeed my little ponies. My days of conquering is long over. So, I will ask again: Would you like me to help you and this entire village harvest your crops?” Chrysalis asked.

The trio thought it over. It seemed a little too good to be true; one of Equestria’s biggest villains just turning over a new leaf like this.

“I don’t know about this one guys,” Sturdy Step remarked as she snuck another glance up at the Queen’s colossal green eye in the sky.

“She seems genuine,” True Law said, looking up at her as well “Besides, by the looks of things she somehow became a titan herself. If she really wanted to do some damage or conquer Equestria don’t you think she would have done that already instead of wasting time here?” he asked.

Thimble nodded excitedly “You’re right Mr. Law! Let’s ask Miss Chrysalis for help!” he squeaked, dashing around the two adults.

“Woah there kiddo, slow down!” Sturdy called “Let’s not rush this decision just yet!”

But she was too late. Thimble got on his hind legs and began to wave up at the giant, trying to get her attention “Can you help us Miss Chrysalis?!” he yelled up to her “We would all really appreciate your help if you can help us pick all of these crops!”

Chrysalis smiled softly as Thimble’s words reached her ears “Of course dear,” she replied as she began to stand back up. Ponies all over the ground felt the ground rumble once more as the colossus rose to her hooves, towering over the small village. The ponies gulped. They didn’t realize just how big Queen Chrysalis was now that she was standing at full height.

“Now then, why don’t I do you all one better? How about I harvest the crops for everypony there?” Chrysalis said as she powered up her jagged black horn. A burst of green magic erupted from in and flooded over Oakenwood. Ponies watched in astonishment as their plants began to pick themselves from their fields. Apples are plucked from branches and neatly placed in baskets and levitated towards a food storage, flowers were picked and organized into type for a mare who planted them in her backyard to sell, and the cotton that Thimble and Sturdy were struggling with picked itself and was loaded up into the Turner family storage for hat production later.

The ponies on the ground burst into applause for the titanic queen as Chrysalis took a sweeping bow. Her mane brushing against the ground, uprooting trees and shrubs, and getting them tangled in her hair strands.

She giggled in embarrassment “Oh silly me. I guess I should be more carful next time,” Chrysalis said as she reached up and began to sweep the dislodged objects in her mane away, clearing it in no time. After she was done she leaned back down towards Oakenwood, giving the town a giant nuzzle before waving them good-bye. Thankful she was able to help out.

Pant, pant, pant

Wheeze!

“N-Nearly there,” Chirp gasped out “We’ve almost reached mom’s mane!”

Chip nodded “Thank goodness! My legs feel like jelly!” he said

It seemed like forever ago that the two young changelings began their long trek across Chrysalis’s gargantuan back. After getting stuck in her tail when she initially grew, the two twins were on a mission to reach their mother’s ear and let her know she had been unknowingly carrying two tiny stowaways this entire time.

They had finally made some progress back when Chrysalis was in Manehatten when she shrank herself a little to explore the city. During that time the duo managed to make it to her back. But before they could progress further she grew back to her titan height. Now it meant reaching her ears would take much longer than it would have before.

“D-dang it mom! Stop growing!” Chip groaned in defeat as he watched the back of her head and mane get even bigger than before “You’re not making this any easier on us!”

“You know she can’t hear us, right?” Chirp said

“I know that! I’m just getting it off my chest,” Chip replied with annoyance.

But at long last, their patience was rewarded. They finally made it to Chrysalis’ mane. The twin brothers sat down on the “ground” to catch their breath. The two of them panting with exhaustion from the marathon they just ran to get here.

“Almost there,” Chirp gasped out between breaths “Just gotta climb mom’s mane and reach her ears,”

Chip slowly looked up at their next dauting challenge. The size of Chrysalis’ head seemed bigger than the biggest mountain known to pony kind.

“Alright, let’s get started,” he whimpered. Chip grabbed Chirp’s hoof and buzzed his wings, gaining a little bit of height in the air before his strength ran out and the two of them landed in the building sized turquoise hair strands

But as the two of them began their climb up, Chrysalis suddenly ducked her head down as she gave her bow to Oakenwood. Her mane swept across the landscape getting all sorts of debris inside it. Debris that unfortunately for our two hapless ‘lings had to avoid. Chip and Chirp yelped as full sized trees and bits of houses got tangled up in Chrysalis’ mane. The strands swinging wildly as their queen leaned back up.

“That was close,” Chip sighed, glancing off to the right where a pine tree was stuck between two giant hair strands.

But the young hatchling had spoken too early. A shadow fell over them, growing bigger each second. Curiously the two turned around, only to be met with the sight of Chrysalis’ Mountain sized hoof moving in towards them.

“EEEEEK!” they screamed and scrambled in place, trying to gain some height or drop down back onto her back. Anything to get away from the giant hoof. But it was too late.

TWACK!

Chip, Chirp, and the pine tree were all sent flying out of Chrysalis’ mane, effortlessly swatted away by her while she was sweeping through her mane for debris.

“AHHHHH! WE’RE GONNA CRASH!” Chirp wailed as he flailed his limbs uselessly, as if trying to swim in the air.

“Hold on!” Chip hollered. He angled himself in the air and spread his wings again, now using them as a sort of glider. Chip managed to make his way over to where Chirp was and grab his hoof. He pulled his brother close to him, not wanting to get separated if they do end up crash landing.

“Wait, I think I see something coming up ahead!” Chirp yelled over the rushing air.

“What is it?!” Chip shouted

“It looks like…water?”

SPLASH!!

Chip spluttered as he suddenly found himself very wet. He flailed his hooves for a second but managed to balance himself out enough to swim for the surface. He gasped for air as he broke through the water.

“Chirp? Chirp! Are you alright?” he called

“M’all right,” Chirp mumbled, his eyes rolling from the crash landing. Chip groaned “Lucky this water was here, huh?” he said with exhaustion “Speaking of which, where did we even land?”

“Halt! You’re under arrest!” a loud authoritative voice commanded.

Chip blinked his eyes weakly and looked around at his surroundings for the first time. Now he was able to make out the stone bowl like structure he and Chirp were in. As well as the dozens of ponies around them in a crowd staring at the two of them.

Oh, and the platoon of guards surrounding them as well.

Chips eyes widen as realization struck him. They got knocked though the air so hard they landed in a fountain.

In Canterlot.

Oh Horsefeathers,” Chip sighed as he and Chirp put up their hooves.

Chapter 5- The Coming Colossal Chrysalis Cataclysm

View Online

Clang! Clang! Clang!

Chip winced at the ominous sound of the guard’s metal hoofsteps as they were herded along. It sounded like a clock. Always ticking, like it was counting down to their doom when they went to go meet the Princesses of Equestria.

After they had been captured by the royal guards, magic suppression rings had been put on both of them and now they were held at spear point as they made their way to the throne room.

How did today end up so bad?” Chip wondered miserably as he and Chirp trudged along “All Chirp and I were supposed to do was come up with new ideas for inventions to build! That’s about as laid back as you could get,”

But ever since that morning, things just seemed to be spiraling out of control. First their mother had grown to a colossal size, at her request, accidently destroyed half of the hive because it became too small to contain her growing body, next the two of them had gotten caught in Chrysalis’ tail like two little dust mites, having to endure her earthshattering steps and swaying movements as she walked around like a living mountain, climb up her tail and attempt to reach her ears while they bounced against her rump and tried to avoid getting squashed every time she sat down, and third Chrysalis had unknowingly flicked the two of them straight into enemy territory right after they had finally reached her mane after several hours of climbing and running. Now, after all that had happened, the hatchlings found themselves being led towards the throne room to speak to Princess Celestia and Luna.

Eventually, after several uncomfortable minutes of silent walking, they finally reached the throne room doors. The guard leading them saluted to two more guards standing outside, a stallion and mare, which they returned. Wordlessly they nodded to each other and opened the doors.

“Follow me,” their escort said “And don’t try any funny business you two, or else I’ll bring you both straight to the dungeons,”

Chip and Chirp exchanged panicked glances “Y-y-yes sir!” Chip blurted out hastily.

“Good,” their guard replied and lead them into the throne room. Once the two young changelings entered, for a moment, their worries melted away as they gazed around in wonder and amazement at the throne room’s splendor.

The room was absolutely massive. A long fluffy carpet ran down the length of the room. There was an ivory interior decorated the walls, floor, and pillars all around them. As well as hints of gold highlights mingled in. Not to mention the beautiful glass-stained windows.

“Wow…” Chirp whispered “This is even nicer than mom’s throne room,”

But it wasn’t long before the two were bright back to their harsh reality.

Chip and Chirp found themselves standing before the base of the throne, and up on the dais was Princess Celestia and Princess Luna, with the elements of harmony and a pudgy little purple dragon with green frills standing off to the side. The Princess of the sun had a hard, flat stare dominating her features as she glared down at the two changelings, causing the brothers to unconsciously huddle together while the Princess of the moon gazed at them with a calculating expression and a hint of…pity? Chip didn’t know what that was all about but he was hoping beyond hope it wasn’t because they were about to be thrown into the dungeons or something else unchangeling like.

“So, you two are the Changelings that caused a scene a little while ago, correct?” Princess Celestia asked in a frosty tone as she took a step forward.

“Y-y-y-yes your m-m-majesty,” Chip stammered out in fright.

Luna frowned as she noted Chip’s reaction “Sister, mind your tone,” she whispered to Celestia “They’re only foals.” But Celestia either didn’t register what Luna said or she didn’t care. The second she realized that Chrysalis was back once more, and this time as a titan, she had flown into a fit of unease. And Luna knew why: Celestia, in all her years of leading kingdoms, fighting monsters, dealing with nobles, had developed a slight fear of the Changeling Queen. After her humiliating defeat at Cadence and Shining’s wedding in front of her entire kingdom and then getting put into a cocoon and strung up like a piñata in the throne room, it was no surprise to the moon princess why her sister was acting uncharacteristically aggressive.

Celestia snorted with frustration as she slowly advanced towards the two brothers, spreading her wings menacingly and narrowing her eyes as she approached them “Then you will tell me immediately what I want to know. What is Chrysalis’ plan? Does she mean to attack Canterlot again and endanger my little ponies? Speak!”

Luna got up from her throne and quickly made her way over to where Celestia was. There was another reason why, in her mind, that Celestia was acting this way. The whole Titan fiasco. When it first occurred, the two of them, the elements, and all of Canterlot were utterly powerless to do anything against the Titans sized ponies. Leaving them to toy around with them as they pleased. Their magic had no effect, and their defenses were practically laughed at when the nobles attempted their coup. All it took was a few drops of giant sized hair gel to completely incapacitate the royal guards. In fact, as much as Luna hated to admit it, the nobles would have won and gotten what they wanted if it wasn’t for the fact that the spell ran out of power just as they were about to get their way.

When it happened again, the two sisters assumed the worst. Another Titan in Equestria? What terrible things could they wrought to the kingdom next? But to their immense relief, a letter from Twilight alleviated their worries. The new Titan was none other than the element of honesty’s eldest brother; Big Macintosh. And if their family reputation was anything to go by, such as their elder Mrs. Smith founding Ponyville, the adorable antics of little Apple Bloom and her friends in the quest to find their cutie marks, and Applejack’s role as the element of honesty, then it was safe to say that Big Macintosh was not going to be such a massive threat to the kingdom like the nobles had been. In fact, the gentle giant had been anything but threatening. He had gone on a globe trotting walk around the kingdom helping out anypony who needed it, if the spectacular reports from the mayors of Oakenwood and Manehatten were to be believed. It was also heard that he gave spectacular hugs as a Titan, something Luna thinks Celestia became a little jealous of hearing because now, every time a pony is about to leave day court she will always ask if they’d like a hug. As if she’s attempting to one up Big Macintosh.

Now, it appears the growth spell had kicked in once more. And this time it has struck one of their most heinous enemies. This combined with how Celestia feels about Chrysalis was definitely clouding her judgement on how to approach the situation.

“Sister let me take it from here,” Luna said as she stepped up in front of Celestia and gently edged her away from the two cowering hatchlings. Celestia huffed in frustration but nevertheless relented.

Luna stepped up in front of Chip and Chirp and held up a letter bearing the Crystal Empire seal in red wax. “This letter arrived from my niece and nephew in the Crystal Empire. In it, they detail some interesting events that had just taken place. They claim that your Queen had paid them a visit and that she was now the size of a Titan. And yet, despite her overwhelming size advantage and power she practically leaves no harm on them and leaves. Several accounts from the guards claimed she was kind even,” Luna said dryly “A characteristic that seems extremely out of character for her if the events of the wedding is anything to go off of. Interesting wouldn’t you say?”

Chip and Chirp clammed up, staring at the letter with wide eyes. Luna took note of their reaction silently and pressed on.

“Furthermore, one of our guards gave us a copy of todays paper written by the Daily Equestrian. And do you know what was on it?” She asked.

Chip shook his head frantically.

Luna floated over the paper towards the two twins and dropped it on the floor for them to read. Chip and Chirp looked on in shock as they saw their mother’s escapades in the pony city already photographed and printed on paper.

“Judging by the reports that have come in and Chrysalis’ current trajectory from the places she has ‘visited’ it is safe to assume she is on her way to Canterlot. So I’ll ask you again: What happened to her? Why is she acting like this? And what is her plan? Answer truthfully and I shall consider being lenient on your punishment,” Luna said sternly, glaring down at the hatchlings with her icy cold stare.

Chip and Chirp slowly looked up and the intimidating Alicorn looming over them and her much more intimidating sister behind her, as well as the elements and the potentially changeling roasting dragon further in the back. That along with all they had to endure the entire day finally building up to it’s breaking point.

And their floodgates finally broke.

“WE’RE SORRY!” the two cried out, throwing themselves down in the lowest bow possible in front of Luna.

“This is all our fault! Mom asked us to do this to her!” Chip bawled.

Celestia raised her eyebrow “what do you mean she ‘asked you’ to do this to her?”

“Mom came back to the hive with some weird looking book and asked us to extract the magic from it because she said it was unstable! She said she wanted us to do that so she can have the power all to herself and try and take over Equestria again,” Chirp added

Everypony and dragon’s eyes narrowed.

“But things didn’t go right!” Chip added on desperately “Something really bad ended up happening!”

“Yeah I’ll say,” Rainbow Dash piped up “Not like she’s thousands of feet tall now or anything,”

“That’s not what I meant! After mom asked us to extract the magic from the book and restabilize it so the magic wasn’t wild anymore, we transferred it into a machine we built called a growth ray and fired the magic into mom. All the magic in the book was drained into the ray when we did that and mom grew as tall as the hive,” said Chip

“Wait a darn second. Ya said that she was as tall as tha hive didn’t ya? Don’tcha lie ta us now cuz she’s way bigger than that,” Applejack said

Chirp opened his mouth to answer but leapt back in fright as Twilight popped up into view, pressing her muzzle against his, her eyes shining with glee as she brandished paper and a quill “Wait, did you say you and your brother stabilized wild magic? How did you do that? I gotta know! Working with wild magic is extremely difficult because it’s nature is always changing! Hey, even most scholars here are still theorizing how to work with it. Tell me how! For SCIENCE!”

A golden aura surrounded Twilight and gently pulled her away from the two hatchlings and back over to Celestia.

“Twilight, perhaps we should let them finish their story first and then ask questions later,” Celestia said, staring at her protégé with tired eyes as Twilight scratched away uselessly at the ground while she was being pulled away.

“But my knowledge!” Twilight wailed.

Chip and Chirp inched away from the knowledge starved and potentially feral purple pony, seeking refuge with Luna. The two little changelings peeking out apprehensively from behind her tail. Luna, sensing their destress, gently wrapped them in a warm hug with her wings “It’s alright you two,” she said “Please continue your story.”

The two brothers nodded “Ok, well, to answer your question miss, Mom really did start off that big. But we saw later that when mom absorbed ambient love in the air and given to her, not forcefully from ponies, it powered her up more and she got bigger. She kept getting bigger the more love she consumed,”

Celestia slowly nodded “Alright, that makes sense. At least she wasn’t stealing love from ponies either. But that doesn’t explain why she’s currently acting the way she is right now. You said that Chrysalis wanted to conquer Equestria didn’t you? She is in the prefect position to do that right now and yet all she seems to be doing is playing around,”

Chip nodded “I think that’s because me and Chirp accidently did that to her. You see, we needed a power source for the growth ray and we decided to use love to power it. Because love always energizes us changelings we thought the same thing could work. But Chirp and I think that when mom absorbed all the magic from the book, the love went into her as well, causing her personality to alter into what it is now,”

“Well thank goodness for that,” Rarity said “I can’t imagine the amount of ghastly things that evil mare would be doing right now if she was in the right state of mind.”

“I’ll say!” Pinkie exclaimed as she bounded around “I wonder who’s love was strong enough to do that to Chryssy?”

Chirp tweedled his hooves and eyed up the floor, not looking anypony in the eye “Actually, um, I think it was Princess Celestia’s and Princess Luna’s love we used to power the machine. We used Alicorn love because we thought it would be stronger than normal pony love. The one we were using was taken during the wedding a few days before Mom got found out by Miss Twilight” he flinched as his response earned him a glare from the two rulers.

Celestia facehoofed “Well, I can’t say I’m pleased about this, but at least some good did come from that invasion,” she said with bitterness in her voice. Luna was nodding as well, part of her was still guilty she was asleep during the invasion but some side of her was relieved that her love was part of the reason why the kingdom wasn’t being held in Chrysalis’ hoof right now.

“Well, I guess that begs the question, how are we going to stop Chrysalis now?” Asked Twilight “If she really has all the book’s magic than there’s no way we can beat her. Chrysalis is invulnerable to all attacks, both physical and magical. Our elements won’t work on her, nor will any of our spells.”

Fluttershy sighed in frustration “If only Big Mac was still a Titan,” the small butter pegasus lamented in her meek voice “he could probably hold off Chrysalis for a bit while we figured something out. Oh, if that’s ok with him that is,”

“Yeah, it sucks that he ain’t big anymore! He could have really help out!” Rainbow Dash sulked “I’ll bet he could have become bigger than her in no time and save the day. Of course if I was the huge one I’d kick that evil buggy’s flank into next week!”

Applejack snorted “If yer tha Titan Dash we’d all be worried,”

Rainbow rounded her gaze over the Applejack “You got something to say cowpony?”

“Ah sure do ya big ol’ blowhard!”

Twilight sighed in resignation as Applejack and Rainbow Dash began to start up their usual arguing “I wonder what Big Macintosh is up to right now anyway?” she asked, glancing over at Spike who just shrugged

Meanwhile at Sweet Apple Acres

“CUTIE MARK CRUSADERS: DOCTORS! YAY!”

Big Macintosh’s eye twitched as he laid down in bed, covers thrown over his body, a bag of cold water on his head, and a thermometer sticking out of his mouth All around him Apple Bloom, Sweetie Bell, and Scootaloo were bouncing around in circles in his room. They were each wearing doctor coats complete with a stethoscope, reflex hammer, and a bunch of colorful band-aids.

And they had been going on like this for the past hour.

“Macky! Are ya up there?” Granny Smith’s voice wafted though the door “Ah made some of mah best homemade soup! That’ll cure that no good flu in a jiffy!”

“T-thank ya Granny,” Big Mac managed to cough out, glancing at the door which was opened slightly ajar. When he returned his gaze to his room, Big Mac nearly jumped out of his fur as he saw that the Cutie Mark Crusaders had all clambered up onto his bed and were all standing cheek to cheek on his chest looking down at him with unsettlingly large grins.

“Don’t worry big brother, tha Cutie Mark Crusader doctors are on tha case! We’ll get you back up on yer hooves in no time!” Apple Bloom exclaimed brightly “Right girls?”

“YAY!!” all three of them cheered again, Big Mac swore we felt his eardrums rupture

As swear, Ah’d shrink y’all an keep ya in a cup for tha rest of tha day if y’all weren’t so darn adorable. Even though y’all are noisier than tha ah cow trying ta take ah bath,” Big Mac thought.

Back at Canterlot Castle

While the other elements were busy trying to break apart Applejack and Rainbow Dash’s impromptu brawl, Celestia and Luna were conversing with several guards that had called into the throne room to debrief them on the Chrysalis situation, Chip and Chirp where just left standing awkwardly off to the side.

“So, do you think we can make a run for it?” Chirp whispered hopefully. Chip looked down dejectedly “No, there’s too many ponies in the room. Plus, we barely have any training with shapeshifting. We’ll get caught immediately.”

“Yeah, you’re right,” Chirp said gloomily.

“But Chirp, hear me out. Maybe we should help the ponies just this once,” Chip suggested.

“Why? Mom said they’re all evil remember?”

“Yeah, but mom always comes up with a bunch of crazy plans and ends up saying some outlandish things remember? I heard one time mom said 1000 years ago water was bad for your health and taking baths was bad,”

Chirp snickered “Did she really? That’s hilarious.”

“Yeah, she totally denies she ever said that now, which is even funnier,”

Chirp giggled at the thought of their Queen getting so flustered over something as trivial as that.

“But back to the subject, we should help out the ponies and get mom back to normal. At least things can go back to normal for us. Then we can all go home and forget this ever happened,” Chip said. Chirp thought it over for a bit and eventually sighed “Fine, I guess you’re right. But how are we even going to do that? Mom has absorbed so much love all day. She’s pretty much unstoppable at this point. And immune to all attack, both physical and magical,”

“I’ve been thinking about that. What if we reverse engineer the growth ray we made? That way we can suck out the magic we put into her in the first place! It’s not a physical attack and it’s not a magical one either! It’s just science!” Chip explained excitedly.

“Yeah that could work!” Chirp exclaimed, prancing in place happily “Let’s go tell them!”

The two cautiously made their way over to where the elements were just pulling apart Applejack and Rainbow Dash.

“Honestly you two!” Rarity was saying “Starting a fight here of all places? In Canterlot? Near the NOBILITY? Oh, the horror! I can only imagine what horrid things they could be saying about us now!”

“Cool your jets Rarity! I was just giving little miss smug over here a piece of my mind!” Rainbow Dash said, glaring at Applejack, who in turn stuck her tongue out at her offender.

Chip and Chirp walked up to Twilight, who was watching the fight’s aftermath with disapproval in her eyes, and warily poked her side to get her attention. Twilight perked up at the sudden unexpected contact and looked down to see the two hatchlings staring at her expectedly.

“Oh, it’s you two. Is everything alright? OH! Are you ready to answer my questions on wild magic?!” Twilight asked excitedly as another bunch of papers and quill poofed into existence next to her. Twilight squeed and as she pranced around. Popping back up in front of the two young brothers with stars in her eyes again.

“Ummm, no Miss Twilight,” Chip said hesitantly (Twilight groaned in disappointment and poofed away her materials again) “We actually think that we have a way to change mom back to normal.

Twilight’s ears perked up as she heard his words “What do you mean?” she asked.

“Well, Chirp and I made the growth ray that turned mom into a Titan, right? All we have to do is reverse engineer it to remove the magic and she’ll turn back to normal.”

Twilight thought it over, tapping her hoof on her chin “I think this could work actually. Since you two have the knowledge on how the machine works, I don’t see why not. Let me ask the Princesses,” Twilight called over Princess Celestia and Luna and explained the two’s idea to them.

“I don’t know Twilight dear, this could be a trick. How do we know that they won’t simply infuse Chrysalis with more power? Or revert her personality to normal?” Celestia asked.

“We wouldn’t do that!” Chip protested “We want mom back to normal as much as you do!”

Celestia frowned and was about to reply but Luna beat her too it “Well, if you’re as truthful as you say, then Twilight, Princess Celestia, and I would wish to watch you two work on this machine. You can explain to us about each part and how it works while you’re putting it together,” Luna said, glancing at Celestia with a reproachful glint in her eyes.

Celestia rolled her eyes but nevertheless conceded. After all, they were short on options and were getting pretty desperate.

“Alright, you two tell me where the hive is,” Twilight said “I can take you two there via teleportation, help you get your machine, and teleport back so you can work on it.”

As hesitant as the two hatchlings were about divulging such sensitive information like where their hive was, they were left with little choice in the matter. Twilight’s purple aura surrounded the three of them and they all vanished in a POP!

The three of them reappeared in the ruins of the hive, Twilight looking around in awe “Wow, so you guys live here? This is incredible! Do you follow similar sleep patterns as normal insects that live in hives like bees? Or maybe you use a dance to communicate where you can find the nearest source of love? Oh, this is so exciting!”

But Chip and Chirp didn’t have the same reaction. Their ears drooped down as they looked around in dismay at the ruined remains of their home. Chirp sniffled “Does this mean we don’t have a home anymore?” he asked quietly “Mom practically destroyed it all when she outgrew the hive,”

“I-I don’t know,” Chip admitted quietly.

Skitter skitter

All three pairs of ears perked up at the sound. They looked around towards the shadows to where the sound was coming from. The three of them slowly made their way over. Peering over the edge of a small chasm they saw a lone Changeling working. Panting with exhaustion while toiling away at the bottom, trying to clean up the unfathomable mess around him.

“Is that…Wasp?” Chip asked.

The Changeling, Wasp’s ears perked up at the mention of his name and looked around, spotting the three of them at the higher ledges. “Chip? Chirp? Is that you?” The Changeling asked. He spread his wings and buzzed up to where the three of them were standing, touching down on the ground next to them, a big smile on his face “It is you! Oh, thank goodness! Everyling lost track of you after Queen Chrysalis used the growth ray and I was worried you might have gotten buried under all this rubble,” Wasp said as he lunged forward and pulled his two little brothers into a big hug.

The two brothers sniffled and tightly hugged Wasp back. At last, they were getting some peace of mind after the day they had. The two of them tearfully explained what had happed ever since and the events leading up till now. Overcome with emotion at their difficult day and now being captured by the ponies.

Wasp looked thoughtfully over at Twilight as Chip and Chirp finished retelling their story, who in turn was looking at the twin brothers in shock and pity as she heard firsthand what they went through today.

“Twilight Sparkle, is it? A pleasure to finally meet the mare who helped take down Nightmare Moon and King Sombra,” Wasp said, catching Twilight’s attention as he stuck out his hoof to her. Twilight blushed in embarrassment “Well, I can’t take all the credit for defeating those guys,” she mumbled. Twilight cleared her throat and shook Wasp’s hoof “And it’s a pleasure to meet you to Wasp,”

Wasp nodded “I assume you three have a reason for coming back here? No offense, but I highly doubt Princess Celestia’s student would come herself to the Changeling hive for a simple return mission,” Twilight nodded “Chip and Chirp here told me, my friends, and the Princesses that they can undo the effects on Chrysalis if they can reverse engineer their growth ray. I offered to bring them back so they can retrieve their equipment and the ray and we can take it back. Queen Chrysalis is on her way to Canterlot as we speak so we have to be fast.”

“Speaking of which, do you know where our ray is Wasp?” Chip asked his brother hopefully.

Wasp’s ears flattened against his head as he looked at the three of them sadly “I’m sorry everyling, but I don’t think your plan will work. Follow me please,” he said and beckoned them to follow him over to the side of the chasm. Twilight, Chip, and Chirp all exchange confused (and worried) looks as they followed behind. Wasp lead them over to one particularly large chasm and glanced back at them, pointed down at the bottom.

Twilight, Chip and Chirp all carefully made their way over to the edge and peered down. “Is that…” Chirp began.

Chip swallowed in fear “Yeah… I think it is,”

The chasm wasn’t a chasm at all. It was simply an extremely large hoofprint. Left behind by Chrysalis as she was outgrowing the hive. But to make matters worse, at the bottom of the crater, completely flattened like a pancake, was the remains of the growth ray.

“OH NO!” Twilight exclaimed, panic filled her voice as she looked down with dismay at the ruined device “Now what are we going to do?! All of Equestria is doomed! We’re all gonna be smothered by Chrysalis’ hugs! This is worse than when mom made me dress up in 20 layers of sweaters so I can go play in the snow!”

Strands of Twilight’s mane began poking out as she started prancing in place, panic gripping her heart at the thought of the multi-mile tall, unstoppable villainess hugging the hey out of the entire kingdom, the unintentional damage she could case just by her kindness, and her overwhelming and overbearing mothering. With Wasp trying (and failing) to calm her down. But while Twilight was having another lesson zero moment, Chip and Chirp continued observing their ruined growth ray. Silently Chip grabbed Chirp’s hoof and flew the two of them down to the bottom of Chrysalis’ hoofprint. Touching down at the bottom they began to inspect their machine.

“I have to be honest Chip, the damage isn’t that bad. It looks worse than it actually is. I think we can actually repair it and add the modifications to change mom back,” Chirp said.

“Yeah, I think I see what you mean. All the parts seem to be intact, just a few odds and ends misplaced but we can easily fix that up. Let’s tell Twilight and we can head back,” Chip said. One explanation later Chip, Chirp, Wasp, and Twilight were all standing around the squashed growth ray.

“So, do you think you can teleport all this back to Centerlot along with us?” Chip asked purple smarts. Twilight eyed up the contraption “It won’t be easy but I think I have just enough magic to transport all four of us and the machine,” she said

“Oh, actually I’m not coming along. I still have to finish cleaning up the hive,” Wasp said, taking a step back “I lost ‘not it’ and so I have to deal with this huge mess. I think everyling else went to throw a party or something because this was the first break they had in a few decades,”

“Ohhhh, so that’s why there’s noling else here,” Chirp said “Sorry you got left behind Wasp,”

Wasp waved his hoof “Ah don’t worry about it. It’ll do everyling some good to relax their minds and think about something other than Chrysalis’ revenge or love for once. Never been much of a party guy myself, so some time alone will do me good.” He replied dismissively.

Wasp then turned to face his two little brothers “Also, Chip, Chirp? I can taste your emotions that you’re feeling. Some trepidation with a hint of fear and anxiety. It’s all to do with being in the company of ponies, is that correct?”

The two slowly nodded their heads. Twilight taking notice and kneeled down in front of them, getting in view of their eye level. “Is that why you two were shaking so much? Are you afraid of ponies?” she asked.

Wasp nodded “They’ve been listening to a few too many of Chrysalis’ tall tales about your kind. After Mother’s failed invasion she was extremely bitter about entire situation as you can imagine. Lately it’s been eating away at her, almost to the point of obsession. I wouldn’t be surprised if the point of her obtaining the growth spell was her way of securing an easy win,” Wasp then turned back to his two little brothers “I don’t blame the ponies for being wary of us for what Chrysalis did, however, you should cooperate with them and rebuild this machine. Not only for them, but for us as well. Whether our queen wants to hear it or not, this unhealthy obsession she’s developed for revenge over a conflict she caused needs to stop. I understand that as of now she isn’t doing much harm but who knows if there’s a time limit on the amount of love she ingested when she was blasted with the ray. I’m sure the last thing we want is mom to be that size and she isn’t as cheerful and kind as she is now,”

Twilight shuddered at the thought “Don’t even joke about that. I don’t even wanna think about what it’s gonna be like for Chrysalis to play exterminator when she’s giant sized and we’re the bugs,”

Wasp nodded “Yeah, and that’s assuming Mother wants to stop at Equestria. At the rate she’s growing, she’ll eventually be able to walk over the continent in just a few steps and cross over to the next kingdom. She’ll be able to take over the world and noling will be able to oppose her. So don’t let me keep you three anymore. Head back to Canterlot right away and work on that machine. I’ll keep cleaning up here for our Queen’s plan eventually falls flat and she has to retreat back here,”

“What? You don’t think we can capture her this time?” Twilight asked challengingly. Wasp simply shook his head “Definitely not. She’s quite the escape artist. I remember her boasting about a time she got captured by all of you a few months after the wedding and she escaped with nothing more than a book,”

Twilight blushed and averted her eyes. She remembered that quite well. After all, she had been the one to give the Changeling Queen the book after she had been captured. Imagine everyone’s shock to find an empty cell and hour later and note left behind that said: Chrysalis rules, ponies drool and a picture of Chrysalis sticking her tongue out at them. She cleared her throat “Maybe you’re right,” Twilight mumbled. She turned around to Chip and Chirp, who were just emerging from their rooms with their tools and supplies for the ray, and called to them “Got everything you need?” she asked. The two brothers nodded. “Alright, I’ll teleport us back now,” she said. The three said their goodbyes to Wasp and vanished with a POP!

They reappeared in Canterlot Castle’s throne room along with the squashed machine and the brother’s supplies, catching the attention of all the ponies in the room.

“You’re back!” Rainbow Dash exclaimed and shot over to them, the rest of the mane 6, Spike, and the Princesses bringing up the rear, with the gathered guards standing away in the back.

“Um, Twilight, is this the machine?” Spike asked as he walked around the flattened heap of metal “What happened to it?”

“Queen Chrysalis apparently stepped on it when she grew for the first time back at the hive,” Twilight replied, causing Luna to groan with exasperation “Curse that fiend. Of course, she’d do something like that to prevent anypony from turning her back,”

“Actually, mom did that by accident,” came Chip’s voice. Everyone turned around to see the brothers already hard at work trying to repair the machine. “She accidently stepped on it when she outgrew our hive. But don’t worry, Chirp and I should be able to fix it in no time,”

While they brothers were working Twilight gave everyone the rundown on what happened in the hive. “So wait, you mean to tell me that even some of the Changelings are with us on this?” Rainbow asked.

Twilight nodded “They want things to go back to normal as much as the next pony, surprisingly. I talked to this really nice Changeling named Wasp and he gave me the details on what happened and what we can expect. He did present me with a rather terrifying idea. We found out that the reason why Chrysalis is like this now is because she absorbed the love from the machine and that altered her way of thinking right? But what if it runs out eventually? And she turns back into her right state of mind?”

Celestia turned to look over at the brothers hard at work “Well, it looks like we have no choice but to trust these two and hope they can change Chrysalis back to normal before that happens.” She spoke solemnly “I can only imagine what sorts of heinous and nefarious actions that mare could be up too right now,”

“Now what do you have to say for yourself mister?!”

Chrysalis levitated a speck sized hydra up to her eye, giving it a stern glare. Down below by her hooves was Ponyville, with some of the buildings smoking, vendor stands smashed, and merchandise thrown everywhere. It looks like some of the beasts of the Everfree took advantage of the distinct lack of mane 6 in the town and decided to go and cause some havoc for their Saturday past time.

And they were really going to town on the place. All the ponies could really do was their usual: scurry around aimlessly while screaming like a bunch of eggs in a frying pan getting stirred up. The Hydra in particular was really keen on showing off its fearsome might as it stomped though the streets of the village. With the guards of the town completely ineffective against the beast it seemed all the Everfree monsters would have their run of the place until the mane 6 returned to Ponyville.

That is, until a mountain sized chitin hoof landed next to the town, attached to an even larger Changeling Queen. The houses, ponies, and monsters were all simultaneously bounced up into the air and back down from the impact of the titanic hoof. Needless to say, Chrysalis was less than pleased by why she was seeing. She quickly scooped up all the Everfree creatures, a colossal wave of her magic splashing down on the mite sized town like a tsunami. The ponies screamed and ran and the neon green magic tidal wave washed over them, only to blink in confusion as they found themselves standing right were they were, completely fine. The beasts on the other hand weren’t so lucky and found themselves getting a stern talking to by the gigantic queen.

The Hydra whimpered as it stared at the never-ending sea of green that took up it’s entire field of vision. Chrysalis’ eyes narrowed “What would your parents say about this? Acting like a bunch of foals gallivanting in the streets and stirring up a ruckus! You lot better say sorry right this instance!” she snorted, earning the beasts a strong buffering by hurricane like winds. Chrysalis levitated the Everfree monsters down towards Ponyville until they were suspended right above the buildings.

The monsters gulped and stared up at the imposing figure towering over the country. Chrysalis nodded encouragingly. The hydra, taking initiative, let out a sigh and a murmured grumble as it gave its apology to the small pony town. The other monsters following suite.

“There, now was that so hard?” Chrysalis asked sweetly as she levitated the monster back up and depositing them into her humongous overturned squishy black hoof. Her horn flashed green and Ponyville was instantly restored to what it was before. With her power growing even greater than before, Chrysalis even managed cleaned up the town. Making it all bright and sparkly. She then lowered her hoof down to the everfree forest and let the tiny monsters slide down and back into the forest.

“Remember you lot, be good from now on! I don’t want to hear that you’ve been causing trouble from now on, understand?”

All Chrysalis heard was an annoyed growl from the forest.

“That’s the Spirit darlings! Be good!” she said with a bright smile while she watched the speck sized monsters all scurry away. Chrysalis hummed pleasantly to herself as she raised her hoof and casually stepped over the dot on the ground that was Ponyville “Bye little dears! Stay safe now!” she said as she thundered away, the residents of Ponyville standing shell shocked over what just happened.

“That was Queen Chrysalis! The horror! The horror!” a lone voice pipped up.

And just like that the panic started all over again.

While most of the Mane 6 went back to conversing with each other, the Princesses were talking with the guards, Twilight went over to Chip and Chirp to ask questions. Something that got annoying fast to the two little grubs while they were trying to focus on their work.

“So how does it fire the laser? Does it all run on love? What about the wild magic? What secret is there to-”

“Miss Twilight can you please wait!” Chip exclaimed in exasperation “This is a very delicate stage we’re in. If Chirp and I mess up even one thing here we won’t be able to shrink mom back to normal,” he said

Twilight frowned “Fine. But sooner or later I want that explanation on wild magic. It’s so unknown! And chaotic! The fact you were able to get it under control is like calming Discord down. I gotta know how you did that!”

“Did someone page the king of awesome?” a disembodied voice wafted through the air. A portal opened up above the growth ray and out stepped Discord in all his chaotic glory “Hello, my name is Inigo Montoya, and I’m not left handed!”

Chip and Chirp ran away from the lord of chaos with an “Eeeep!” of fright, seeking refuge behind Luna again while Discord hopped off the ray gun and spread his arms widely.

“Discord! What are you doing here? And…what are you wearing?” Celestia asked, cocking her head in confusion. Discord was sporting a button up shirt with palm trees on it, square shaped glasses with a blue and red lens, and holding an enormous tub on popcorn under an arm, which he was munching on contently.

“Oh yes, sorry for the mild indecency, but you see I was in the middle of a movie session just now. I was visiting this place called Hollywood and met someone who makes movies there. He recommended some to me and I’ve haven’t been able to stop since!” Discord exclaimed in delight as he tossed his popcorn to the side. It hit the ground and exploded into flowers. “I think his name was Lucas. First name was, like, George, or James, or something like that. But some parts of the trip was a little weird though. Everyone there kept saying 'I love your Discord cosplay.' Whatever that means. Though of course, I just had to stop here by when I heard my name being called.”

Pinkie slowly raised her hoof “What’s a movie?” she asked.

Discord snapped his fingers and a flying saucer appeared. He hopped into it and began floating around, flying slow laps around the room “So, what’s the deal here? If I didn’t know better, I’d say you all were doing something right out of a 50’s science fiction movie.”

“We’ve run into a predicament. Chrysalis is back and she used the magic in an ancient tome to become a Titan,” Celestia replied, pausing to duck her head as Discord passed by on his UFO over her “These two changelings here believe they can use that machine over there to shrink her back down,”

Discord gasped and reappeared right in front of Celestia’s face upside down with a delighted grin “They’re building a shrinking machine? Right now? Oh, how marvelous! This is just like the time when Wayne Szalinski built one in the movie series I saw last night called ‘Honey I shrunk the kids.’ So, does it work yet? We can try recreating some of the scenes from the movie with you and your guards Celly! I know how much you like being large and in charge. The guards can be the helpless kids and you can be the giant parent sweeping the attic.

Celestia waved him off, an embarrassed, yet faint blush was heating up her face “I don’t understand half of what you’re saying Discord, but no, it doesn’t work yet. The foals over there were in the middle of fixing the machine up before you arrived.”

“Awwww phoey,” Discord moped.

“Can somepony tell me what a movie is?” Pinkie asked again.

But before anyone can answer her, everypony felt the ground shake. Then again, and again. Celestia and Luna shared a glance before hurrying over to a nearby window. Several guards, the Mane 6, Spike, and the two Changeling brothers all looked outside too. With Discord bringing up the rear as he looked out curiously. Outside, everything looked normal, but the shaking didn’t stop, in fact it was only getting more and more intense. Then, over out in the distance behind some mountains, a colossal, jagged, black spire began to rise into the air. Followed by an even larger face of a mare with flowing, silky turquoise hair. Chrysalis’s entire head started off at eye level with them, taking up the entire horizon, but with each step she took it rose higher. Everyone’s heads gradually looking up more and more until they couldn’t anymore.

“Huh, Chryssy looks different. New manestyle perhaps?” Discord asked dryly, breaking the shocked silence that had fallen over them.

“She-She’s even bigger than I could have imagined!” Luna exclaimed in alarm as she looked up at the country sized queen. Tearing her eyes away from the Titan with enormous effort she turned her gaze back to Chip and Chirp “You two! You must fix your machine post-haste! She’s almost here!”

Chip and Chirp yelped and scrambled over each other as they raced back to the growth ray and continued working on it with renewed vigor. Everyone else meanwhile couldn’t do anything but simply look outside in awe at the gargantuan mare striding across the continent.

“Wait!” Spike exclaimed “Since Discord is here now can’t he just turn Chrysalis back to normal?”

All eyes turned to Discord, who simply pointed at himself “Me? Well since you asked nicely, I don’t see why not,” he said and snapped his lion’s paw. There was a flash of magic that followed. Everyone turned to look back outside the window, but to their dismay, Chrysalis looked exactly the same.

“Huh, that’s never happened before,” Discord remarked as he looked at his lion paw in confusion. He shrugged and tried again with the same result. And again. And again. “What’s wrong Discord?” Fluttershy asked quietly, floating up beside him as Discord continued snapping his fingers in frustration. “Do you know why it isn’t working?” she asked.

Discord gulped “I…I think it’s because…Chrysalis has become more powerful than me at this point,” he said with a slight quiver in his voice.

There was silence. Then the room erupted into confused voices and questions.

“Dang nabbit Discord! What do ya mean ‘she’s more powerful than ya are?’ Don’tcha always brag about how powerful ya are? What’s tha deal now?” Applejack asked with annoyance.

Discord opened his mouth to explain but Twilight beat him to the punch. “Oh! Oh! I know!” she hollered and pranced around on her hooves. Twilight zoomed up to stand next to Discord and Fluttershy and began her lecture “You see, when somepony get’s hit by the growth spell then their magic and magic resistance increases a thousand-fold. When Discord says that Chrysalis has become more powerful than him then he means that she has become so huge that her magic and resistance grew along side her. No spell in the world can stop her now! Only the Changeling science behind that ray!” Twilight said with a smile, gesturing to Chip and Chirp who waved nervously at them.

There was a pause, then Twilight’s face morphed into horror “T-then if no spell will work on her, we might be DOOMED!!” she squealed in a panic, more stands from her mane were beginning to poke out. But before anyone could panic again, Spike coughed into his fist, getting everyone’s attention “Just a thought, If Discord’s magic won’t work on Chrysalis, then why not use it on somepony here to make them bigger? Big enough to slow down Chrysalis until Chip and Chirp can finish their machine,”

“Spike, you’re a genius!” Twilight exclaimed, pulling Spike into a hug and ruffling his frills.

“Hehehe I know,” Spike giggled happily “But who are we gonna send to slow down Chrysalis?”

“It shall be the royal guards,” Luna replied “We shall send as many as possible to slow down the Changeling Queen,” She said. Luna turned to the gathered royal guards behind her “Princess Celestia and I would go ourselves but we are needed here to prevent the populace from devolving into a chaotic frenzy. The elements are needed here as well to ensure with absolute certainty that the machine is completed. Which means the responsibility of safeguarding Equestria will fall to all of you once again. Do we have any voluenteers?”

“Oh! Oh! Me! Pick me!” a very excited mare in the front was waving her hooves wildly.

Luna pointed at her “You there, guard. Name and rank please.” She asked.

“My name is Sargent Sunny Days your highness!” the guardsmare said proudly, puffing out her chest and standing at attention. Sunny Days, a Pegasus, had a bright red curled mane with a very light cream colored coat and positively beaming from cheek to cheek. Her cutie mark was a sun over a flower, slightly covered by her golden armor.

“I’ll volunteer as well,” came another deeper voice. The guards stepped to the side to reveal the speaker. That being a guardstallion “Major Iron Mettle,” he said. Iron Mettle, a unicorn, was a strong built guard with a grey fur coat and white mane. He wore gold armor and had thee iron ingots stack up as his cutie mark. He was more stoic than his grinning counterpart but nevertheless stepped up in front of the Princesses.

“Anymore volunteers?” Asked Celestia but Discord cut her off “Actually princess, I only have enough juice in me to grow two ponies,” he said. Celestia raised her eyebrow “And why is that?” she asked “I’ve seen you turn all of Equestria into a chaotic no-pony land. Surely you have more magic for something like this.”

“Yes but I’m tired,” Discord said, stifling a yawn “I used a lot of magic to travel to Hollywood back and forth to rent out movies (“Seriously, what’s a movie?!” exclaimed Pinkie Pie) not to mention I’m still using magic in my dimension to keep my electric massaging chair warm and more popcorn in the oven. That’s all I can do for now,”

Celestia gritted her teeth “Fine. “Let’s just hope only two are enough to keep that evil mare at bay,” she growled. Outside Chrysalis had torn an entire city out of the ground and was busy snuggling it.

Discord nodded “Fine, fine, don’t get your bunny ears in a twist Tia, sheesh!” he said nonchalantly. The two guards followed Luna to the balcony, there she pointed towards the looming form of Chrysalis out in the distance “Buy as much time as possible. Keep her away from Canterlot you two,” she said

The two guards saluted “Yes ma’am!” they said simultaneously. Luna nodded and looked over at Discord, who grinned “Oh this is going to be so cool!” he said, dawning his 3D glasses again “This is just like the sequel to Honey I shrunk the kids!” and with the last remark Discord snapped his fingers, a flash of magic blinding all of them momentarily.

When they could all see again, they turned towards the balcony. Luna looked outwards and gasped. Filling her entire field of vision was a grey wall of fur. Iron Mettle’s hind leg. The two royal guards were now standing tens of thousands of meters tall! Nearly on par with Chrysalis’ size. Luna gulped as she watched the titan lifted his hoof, pulling it out of the crushed earth with a RUMMMBBBLEEE and took a step, setting his leg down hundreds of miles away from that single step, narrowly missing a nearby village. The two guards set off, walking across the landscape, leaving behind colossal hoofprints in the ground as they move towards Queen Chrysalis. Low, thunderous BOOMS echoed through the air as Equestria quaked under their mighty hoofsteps.

“Hey! What gives Discord? Chrysalis is still bigger than them!” Rainbow Dash pointed out. Discord grinned sheepishly “Well, I could only make them proportionally bigger. Not make them the same size as Chryssy,” he said.

Rainbow blinked owlishly “What?” she asked.

“Imagine Chryssy is her normal size right now. I could only make those two as big as they would be if Chrysalis was her normal size,” he said, grabbing a tub of popcorn out of thin air and reclining back “Two reasons. One: Chryssy’s power right now exceeds my own, so my chaotic spells are having a hard time battling through her ambient magic in the air. And two: it’s more dramatic this way. The underdog story of a lifetime!”

Celestia sighed but nevertheless looked out over the horizon where the two guards were approaching Chrysalis “Let’s hope you’re right,” she said softly.

Chapter 6- Size Matters

View Online

Earthquakes could be felt reverberating through the ground for miles on end as the two giant royal guards made their way over to the Changeling Queen, who meanwhile was busy cooing over a city she was holding. The ponies in the city at first had been running around in a panic as they saw the gigantic black hoof reach down from the sky and scoop them all up. But a quick expelling of love from Chrysalis quickly calmed them down and stopped the mass panic.

“Awwww, look how adorable you all are!” Chrysalis gushed with delight at the chunk of ground in her hoof housing the metropolis. She leaned in and began nuzzling it and everypony there. All the ponies held in her hoof were gently pushed to the ground as the massive black muzzle lowered down and bombarded them with love. Chrysalis giggled and set the city down back into the hole she had torn in out of. With another steady stream of love being released from the ponies down below. It was a cycle, Chrysalis would send down love to calm down ponies and in return, the ponies would send up more love. Doubling the amount Chrysalis received initially.

But before she could consume the love in the air, Chrysalis heard a voice behind her. “Halt Queen Chrysalis!” someone commanded.

Chrysalis blinked. The voice didn’t sound high pitched and squeaky, like all the voices sounded like when she was a Titan. On the contrary, it sounded perfectly normal. With a bit of an echo like hers. She turned around and was greeted to quite an unexpected sight. Two royal guards from Canterlot were making their way towards her. But, to her great surprise, they were the same size as she was.

“Queen Chrysalis!” the larger of the two called out, a unicorn stallion with a charcoal colored coat, white mane, and wearing golden armor “My name is Major Iron Mettle. Cease your hostilities at once and come with us quietly! And if possible, cancel out whatever spell you may be using to make yourself big,” the aptly named Iron Mettle thundered as he levitated up a ring that cancels out magic, usually meant for Unicorns who were being too rambunctious, and the guard had to place them under arrest. The ring had been on Iron’s armor when he grew, and it grew along with him. Iron took a step forward, his gigantic hoof landing next to a nearby village, bouncing the homes and ponies into the air and back down again as he made his way over to the Changeling Queen, who was just staring at him inquisitively with a cocked head.

But just as quickly, Sunny Days jumps forward in front of Iron Mettle, landing on the ground with a tremendous BOOM! The entire country shook under the weight of the mare’s jump. The malleable earth cracked, leaving a small crater under Sunny. Even Canterlot mountain, now no bigger than a baseball to the three Titans, was starting to crack a little. Sunny, blissfully unaware of the casual damage, pointed her hoof towards Chrysalis dramatically with a big goofy grin on her face and shouted, “Halt criminal scum! The royal guards are placing you under arrest!”

Iron facehoofed with a sigh “A little quick to the jump there rookie,” he said tiredly “And watch the cities! You almost stepped on one!” Sunny flushed red with an embarrassed grin as she raised a hoof and looked down to examine the landscape, apologizing profusely to the unfortunate city that had almost fallen underhoof “Oh gosh! I’m soooo sorry little guys!” Sunny exclaimed frantically. But while their attention was focused on the ground, they failed to realize Chrysalis had walked up to them. The two of them yelped as they felt two strong hooves pull them into a hug.

Chrysalis smiled as she hugged the two guards, who were both squirming in her surprisingly strong grasp. “I don’t really know what’s going on, but I’m happy that you two are here!” she squealed giddily “It’s been a little lonely being the only big ‘ling around, but now that you’re both as big as me we can have some fun now!”

Iron’s grip faltered on the suppression ring he was holding in his magic as Chrysalis squeezed the two of them tighter against either side of her in happiness. The colossal ring fell to the ground with a loud bang! Entrapping an entire city within the diameter of its circular confines. The residents of the city all screamed as they were launched up into the air from the impact. When the dust cleared, they all looked up in awe at the colossal circle of metal surrounding their city. Completely trapping them inside the diameter of the gargantuan ring. But to make matters worse, all of the ponies within the city suddenly began to feel a wave of nausea hit them. Unicorn magic stopped working, pegesi stopped hovering, and earth pony strength gave out. With the gargantuan magic suppression ring surrounding the city, its effects were affecting everything caught within its boundaries.

Back above, Chrysalis suddenly let go of the two guards. While they were panting and wheezing from her iron grip, Chrysalis pranced leisurely over to a small grey lump protruding out from the ground. Canterlot mountain. The denizens below all screamed and ran around in a panic as the underside of Chrysalis’ black, holed, hoof blotted out the sky above and lowered itself down towards them. It dug into the earth and as gently as could be, lifted up the entirety of Canterlot mountain onto the sole of her squishy hoof. Chunks of dirt as big as buildings fell back down to the wide gash left behind in the ground as the mountain was held up. Everyone that was in the castle and the town respectively ducked down to the ground as the winds rushed past them and they were all lifted up into the air as they were held up to Chrysalis’ eye.

Inside the castle, everyone took several steps back as the entire horizon in front of them was replaced by Chrysalis’ beaming face, her toothy grin on full display as she towered high above them all. “Awww look at this! An itty-bitty mountain as big as a pebble! How cute!”

Discord whimpered as the full force of her voice boomed down at them. Normally, only a disappointed Fluttershy is enough to frighten him. But this? This was a close second. Especially since this wasn’t a situation, he could just snap his fingers out of. Some of the castle walls even cracked under the pressure of her voice. Chip and Chirp squeaked in fear amidst their repairs, tumbling to the ground as everything around them shook. Chrysalis meanwhile lit up her horn amidst the chaos she was unaware she was causing and encased the mountain inside a glowing green sphere of magic.

“W-What is this?” Luna squawked in alarm as everything around them was bathed in a green hue. Her answer came soon enough as Chrysalis’ voice boomed all around them once more. Chrysalis turned to address the two giant guards who had finally gotten their bearings. They shook their heads, sharing a brief glance between them before they located Chrysalis. Their eyes widened in alarm as they noticed what she was holding in her hoof.

“Let go of Canterlot right now witch!” Iron Mettle thundered authoritatively, his voice shaking the entire kingdom.

“YEAH! WHAT HE SAID!” Sunny added, flourishing her arms around wildly.

But Chrysalis, in her pleasant state of euphoria and ecstasy of love overflow, pleasantly smiled at the pair and chirped out “How about us new best friends play a game? A nice fun game of keep away! I’ll have the ball and show off my balling skills befitting a queen, and you gotta get it back!” she said with glee.

“That’s not a ball lady! That’s a mountain filled with thousands of tiny ponies! And the Princesses! And the elements! And Discord…for whatever reason.” Sunny cried out (“What about me?!” Spike hollered, clutching onto Celestia’s throne as the mountain rumbled around in Chrysalis’ grasp. “Well, at least I’m included for once,” Discord said proudly, poofing on a medal that said number one draconequus on it).

Chrysalis tossed the “ball” into the air, causing everyone inside the magical sphere to scream in terror, and began bouncing it off her holed leg up and down, shooting the two guards a playful wink and smile, sticking out her tongue at them. Inside the castle everyone tumbled around from the titanic movements of the giantess. The thrones flew around, decorations were skewed about, and ponies, dragons, and changelings alike were scrambled like eggs. Thinking fast, Twilight cast a spell on the shrink ray to keep it in place and not get tossed around, and Discord surprisingly, came to everyone’s aid by turning the floor and walls into pillows for them all to bounce off of.

Back outside, Iron and sunny both made a lunge for Chrysalis, only for her to gracefully sidestep them, tossing the mountain ball into the air and catching it on the tip of her black chitin snout like a seal. Sunny and Iron meanwhile both crashed to the ground, churning up tons of earth and creating their own mountains of dirt as they skidded along the ground. Regular sized ponies on the ground screamed and ran away in terror as the two Titans slid closer and closer to them and their towns. Only for a neon green barrier of magic to engulf them and their towns all together.

“Really now you two. It’s no fun if the little ones are put in danger like that,” Chrysalis chided, her horn glowing brightly with her trademarked green magic.

Iron grumbled and got back to his hooves, helping up Sunny while he was at it. “Alright rookie I think I have a plan,” he whispered to her. Sunny’s ears perked up “I’m all ears boss!” she said loudly and saluting, shattering a few windows in the process. Iron rolled his eyes at her over enthusiasm before leaning in and whispering into her ear “We’ll flank her rookie. I’ll go in front of her and distract her and you go in from behind and try to get Canterot back!” he said.

Sunny nodded and crouched down on all fours and crawled away on her belly. Iron facehoofed. It was super hard to be sneaky and covert when you’re currently taller than mountains. Chrysalis stared at Sunny as she slowly crawled away, leaving behind humongous creators in the ground “Is…Is she alright?” she asked curiously.

“Uhhh yeah she is! Nothing suspicious going on here!” Iron said quickly, moving in front of Chrysalis and drawing her gaze over to him “Now hand over that mountain Chrysalis!” Chrysalis just giggled and began bouncing the ball on her snout again “That’s part of the fun deary. You have to get it from me first,” she said, her old cheerfulness coming back as she tossed the ball from her muzzle into the air once more and onto her back, now bouncing Canterlot mountain around on her rump. Iron growled and made a lunge for the mountain. Only for Chrysalis to gracefully sidestep the guard as he flew past her and crashed onto the ground behind her. He tried again and again and again but to no avail. Each time he made an attempt to grab Canterlot Chrysalis would always seem to have a way to avoid him.

And of course, there was always the near misses. Nearly every time Iron Mettle made a grab for the mountain and missed; he would fall careening over one of the tiny settlements. But even more embarrassingly, he was caught by Chrysalis of all ponies by her magic and carried away safely from the civilizations. All while she was still bouncing the mountain ball on herself.

“Now, now deary, I did say to be careful of the little one!” Chrysalis said with a frown “The game is no fun if they’re in danger,”

“I agree. So how about we stop putting them in danger and just hoof over that mountain!” Iron Mettle demanded.

“But I can’t! We haven’t finished the game yet!” Chrysalis said brightly, once more bouncing the mountain on her snout.

“Oh yes, we have. Rookie! NOW!”

From behind Chrysalis, Sunny Days leapt forward, forearms stretched out as she dived forward, aiming straight for the ball.

Yes! Finally, we can get the capitol and Princesses away from this villain!” Iron Mettle thought triumphantly.

Only for Chrysalis to duck at the last second.

Sunny yelped as she flew over Chrysalis’ head had crashed onto the ground with a tremendous BOOM! Skidding on the ground and sliding towards Ponyville. “Sunny watch out!” Iron cried as he ignited his horn. A pale white magic swirled around it as he prepared to levitate the Titan sized Sargent away from the tiny town. Only for a familiar green glow to surround the entirety of Ponyville and uproot the entire town from the ground. Chunks of dirt and earth fell to the ground as Sunny slid underneath the town and away from it. Chrysalis set Ponyville back down after Sunny had slid by.

“What did I just say?” Chrysalis demanded. She stopped bouncing the ball and held it in her hoof as she frowned down at the two guards on the ground “Be careful of the ponies! If you two can’t be careful then I’m going to have to put you two in time out for all the damage you’re causing,”

“It’s not like we’re trying to cause any damage.” Sunny protested from her spot on the ground. Meanwhile, inside the castle, everyone groaned as they groggily got up from their spot on the ground. Well, everyone except for Chip and Chirp, who had stuck themselves to the ground using their changeling slime. Somehow, someway, amidst all the shaking and chaos, they were still able to continue repairing the shrink ray.

“Uhhhhh…” Rainbow Dash moaned from her position on the floor. She poked her head up and looked around, seeing the crumpled forms of the rest of her friends, the Princesses, Discord, and the guards all sprawled around the pillow covered throne room. “Did…did that really just happen?” she asked out loud.

“Which part? Tha part where we got tossed around like Winona’s dang bouncy ball, or tha part where we got bounced around on Chrysalis’ big rump like a couple o’ fleas?” Applejack asked as she retrieved her hat and placed it back on her head. “Both,” Rainbow replied weakly “Thank goodness Discord put down all these pillows all over the place,”

“Not just here, but all over Canterlot too,” Discord said, popping out from inside a plant vase and brushing himself off.” Spike turned over to Chip and Chrip “Please tell me it’s almost done. Your mom is going to squish everyone in Canterlot at this rate!” he begged.

“Nearly there!” Chirp wheezed out “We just gotta recalibrate the size modulator so mom can shrink. If we use it now, then she’ll get even bigger!” Discord gulped and peered outside the window timidly, quickly ducking back at the sight of the colossus “Yes, I feel like that would be a very bad idea. The last thing we need is for her to start playing around with the planet like a marble. Let’s just shrink her back down quickly like the baby in Honey I blew up the kid,”

“How long will that take?” asked Celestia, jumping down from the ceiling after she got launched up there. “A couple of minutes,” Chip answered. He pulled off a panel on the side of the shrink ray and pointed to a small bar inside it. The bar was slowly filling up with a cherry red substance. “We call this a loading bar. It’s changing the size sequence from grow to shrink. When it reaches the top then the ray is ready. If we shoot it now then we’ll have to start the sequence over, so it can’t be rushed!”

Celestia sighed in frustration and facehoofed “Of course it wouldn’t be this easy,” she muttered to herself as she watched the two hatchlings get back to work.

Back outside, however, it was a different story. It seemed like Chrysalis’ patience had finally run out. She was just too good at playing keep away. And the guards, not so much. Chrysalis snorted in frustration as her powerful magic held both Iron Mettle and Sunny Days aloft in the air, the two of them wiggling and flailing helplessly in her grasp “Honestly you two, I’d say you landed yourself into a heap of trouble! Look at how much you’re scaring all the ponies! And how scary you look stomping around so close to them like that. I have no choice but to put you two in time out!” Chrysalis announced, her horn glowing brighter.

“Hey wait! You were doing the same thing! Doesn’t that make you a-” whatever Sunny tried to say, she never got a chance to finish. As soon as the blinding green magical charge around Chrysalis’ horn reached its apex, she unleashed it. The beam of magic engulfed the two guards, and, in a flash, they were reverted back to normal size. They gulped in fear as they were levitated up to the gargantuan changeling queen’s eye as she looked down at them sternly “You two will be put in time out for the time being until you can learn to act properly!” she said and without further ado, teleported them back into the throne room of Canterlot Castle.

“What happened?!” Princess Luna shouted as she ran up to the two guards. Iron Mettle and Sunny Days were picking themselves off the ground wincing in pain “I thought the two of you were holding off Chrysalis?!”

“We were. But she overpowered both of us Princess,” Iron said solemnly. “Yeah! She made is small again too!” Sunny whimpered “Well, it was fun while it lasted,” she said to herself. Discord meanwhile simply looked shocked “You mean she overpowered me? ME?! The lord of chaos and movie critic extraordinaire? Why this is an outrage! And a pretty concerning if I’m being honest,” he said.

“What are we going to do? Queen Chrysalis isn’t going to stop anytime soon, and the shrink ray still isn’t done loading up yet!” Twilight panicked, frantically pacing around the room in a circle, skittering around nervously. Even a few strands of her mane were beginning to stick out. “Uh oh, she’s having a lesson zero moment again,” Pinkie whispered to Applejack, who just looked at her in confusion.

“WHAT ARE WE GONNA DO? CHRYSALIS IS GONNA USE US AS A TOY FOREVER!” Twilight wailed, closing her eyes as she pronked around in a panic “I DON’T WANNA BE USED AS A BAOUNCY BALL FOREVER! WHY COULDN’T SHE USE US AS BOOK FOREVER!!”

Twilight finished rant was greeted by the sound of complete silence. She opened her eyes and looked around at everyone deadpanning at her “Or…she could just put us down and not play with the mountain at all? Squee!”

Chip blinked and leaned over to whisper to Chirp “Is this what all ponies are like?” he asked. Chirp just shrugged. Chip turned his attention to the gathered ponies, baby dragon and draconequus “Ummm, I have an idea,” he stammered out “Chirp and I can go up to the roof and try to distract mom while you guys keep an eye on the shrink ray. Once its done booting up all you need to do is push the button in the back and it’ll return mom to normal size,”

“HA! As if! How do we know you won’t just try and ask for Chrysalis to squish us all?” Rainbow Dash asked accusatorily, pointing at them with a glare. “You don’t,” Chip said bluntly. Rainbow clammed up immediately. “As it stands, we’re really the only ones who can probably get through to her. Hopefully. She’s just gotten too playful with you ponies and she probably won’t take any of you seriously. But if she saw us then she’d most likely stop for a little bit to actually talk to us. Maybe long enough for the shrink ray to finish calibrating and in time to turn her back to normal.” Chip responded.

There was silence. But eventually Celestia spoke up “As much as I’m hesitant about this plan. It looks like we don’t have much choice in the matter. The two of you will go to the roof and try to get Chrysalis’ attention and distract her while the rest of us finish getting your contraption ready for use,” she said. Chip and Chirp nodded. They followed Luna as she lead them away to the roof while the rest of the creatures stayed behind in the throne room. Rumbles occasionally shaking is as they were still held in the frog of Chrysalis’ hoof.

Back above, Chrysalis was busy looking around, trying to think of her next fun activity. We’ll she had plenty of ponies around her now that she was smack dab in the middle of Equestria. Why not throw a dance party? She could conjure up some gigantic foods and drinks for everyone and break down on the dance floor right now for them all to see. But before she could carry out her next plan, Chrysalis began to hear some very faint squeaking. She blinked and looked around. Was that somepony trying to communicate with her?

Her ears caught wind of the sound once again and it directed her muzzle to the tiny chunk of mountain she was holding in her hoof. Chrysalis leaned down and squinted, just bearly able to make out two extremely tiny dots dangling on the highest spire in Canterlot castle.

CHIP? CHIRP?” She boomed “IS THAT YOU?

Chapter 7- Colossal Care

The two changeling grubs gulped as they stared up at the monolithic form towering above them. From down here, big couldn’t even begin to describe the absolutely enormous form that towered over everyone and everything. Almost like Queen Chrysalis had become a walking, talking, living country. Before they could answer, they felt their bodies tingling as the powerful and signature green glow of Chrysalis’ magic engulfed both of their bodies and lifted them up high into the air and Canterlot mountain was set back down onto the ground. The two hatchlings felt a little nauseous as they were lifted up higher than they could have ever dreamed of flying. The world seemed to rumble around them as they ascended in front of the living wall of black chitin that belonged to Chrysalis. First, they were lifted past the birds, then the clouds, and lastly, into their mother’s awaiting hoof.

The two of them let out a weak meep! As they were deposited gently into their mother’s awaiting hoof, sinking into the black and squishy sole. The two hatchlings watched the slow, lumbering movements of Chrysalis as she conjured up a humongous magnifying glass. Her eye filled the sky above them as her iris narrowed and took in their forms.

“IT REALLY IS YOU!” she boomed. Chip and Chirp covered their ears and as did 90% of the Canterlot population “WHAT ON EARTH ARE THE TWO OF YOU DOING HERE? YOU ARE BOTH SUPPOSED TO BE BACK AT THE HIVE CLEANING UP THE MESS YOU MADE WHEN YOU BUILT THAT RAY!” Chrysalis scolded the two of them “DID YOU TWO EVEN FINISH OR IS THAT MESS STILL BACK AT THE HIVE?

Chirp kept silent as he simply listened to what Chrysalis was saying. Chip on the other hand was sweating profusely. To put it simply, he was terrified! Queen Chrysalis was already scary enough when she was normal sized! Constantly yelling at the hive and giving out threats to the other changelings whenever they couldn’t do their work. And now she was thousands of miles tall, holding him and his brother in the frog of her hoof, and looking directly down at them with a furious motherly wrath!

And he crumbled under the pressure. In an instant, the plan they had devised in the castle to distract Chrysalis so the ponies could keep an eye on the shrink ray melted away from him. Chip felt his heart beating wildly, sweat pouring down his face, as his ears flattened onto his head and his tail tucked between his legs. All he could manage was an incomprehensible whimper.

WELL?” Chrysalis asked sternly.

Another squeak of fear.

Chrysalis sighed “IF YOU AREN’T GOING ANSWER ME THEN I’LL JUST TELEPORT YOU TWO BACK MYSELF!” she thundered, her horn beginning to get engulfed in a powerful green glow. Chip tried to say something but found his mouth was too dry. He had fumbled the ball hard. Now he and Chirp were going to be transported back to the hive and the shrink ray would be destroyed once Chrysalis turned her attention back to Canterlot.

That is until a small voice spoke up next to him.

“Mom…can I ask you a question?” Chirp asked hesitantly, starting up at the looming form above them.

Slowly, the monolithic form above them blinked, staring at Chirp in slight surprise before answering “OF COURSE YOU CAN. WHAT’S THE MATTER?” Chrysalis asked.

Chirp scraped his hoof against the ground, as if contemplating his next words. Once his wits had been gathered, he took a deep breath and asked, “Do you even love us?”

Silence.

Absolute silence hung in the air.

A silence so loud it was almost suffocating. Chip stared at his brother, wide eyed in disbelief that he would even dare to ask something like that. Especially since they were both in such a helpless situation.

The Mane 6, Princesses, Spike, guards, and even Discord himself watching from the castle balcony were all standing shell shocked, mouths hanging open disbelievingly as they heard the question fall from Chirp’s mouth.

“I-Is he nuts?!” Rainbow Dash asked as she looked around at the others and gestured her hooves at the two hatchlings frantically “She’s gonna squish them for sure!”

Discord shoved a handful of popcorn into his mouth and chewed nervously.

Chrysalis blinked, as if she was taking a second to process what she heard, before booming out “OF COURSE I DO HONEY! WHY WOULD YOU EVEN THINK THAT?!” she asked in alarm, hoping to ease the mind of her hatchling. But it didn’t take.

Chirp sighed to himself, once more building up his resolve before replying “Do you really think that? Or is that just the effects the excess love in the growth ray talking? Am I speaking to a product of the growth ray? Or am I speaking to my mother and queen, Chrysalis?”

Once more, a nauseating silence permeated the atmosphere as everyone held their breath.

WELL-THAT IS-I MEAN…” Chrysalis was flustered as she tried to come up with an answer to the question “OF COURSE THAT’S HOW I REALLY FEEL CHIRP! WHY WOULD YOU THINK OTHERWISE?” There was almost a note of offence in her voice.

Chirp shook his head as he once more eyed up the titaness “Because ever since you tried that dumb wedding invasion plan you’ve been different!” he shouted up to her.

Chrysalis’ eyes went wide with shock “W-WHAT DO YOU MEAN? I HAVEN’T BEEN ACTING DIFFERENT. I STILL CARE ABOUT ALL OF MY LITTLE CHANGELINGS. MY PRIORITY IS TO MAKE SURE YOU’RE ALL FED WELL AND KEPT HEALTHY!” she boomed.

“Maybe that was your original intention mother. But after the wedding invasion failed, you changed. It was like you had become a completely different changeling,” Chirp said “When you first explained your plan to the hive, it was simple. You wanted to make sure we would stop going hungry and you were going to find a way to give us a long-lasting supply of love that would last us for hundreds of years. Your original plan was simply to take control of Equestria so we could put ponies in pods so they could be eternally happy in their sleep, and we’d have food. But when that failed you suddenly changed the plan and launched an all-out invasion! Where had that even come from? That wasn’t the plan you had told us before!”

Chirp paused, stopping to catch his breath before continuing “Chip and I didn’t participate in the invasion because you told us we’d only be a liability because of our wings. But when the others came back, they were all shaken up. Your plan failed because you got too egotistical and wanted to rub it into the pony’s faces that you won. So, when Princess Cadence and Prince Shining Armor released that shockwave and launched everybuggy away you had to admit defeat. It was there you changed. You seemed more interested in revenge against the ponies for a problem you caused to start with! You could have tried talking with them but no! you had to ruin our chances and pull that invasion. Ever since then you seem to want less of what’s best for the hive and focus on revenge!”

Chrysalis could only stare at Chirp in shock. Normally he was meek and quiet, in opposed to his normally more outgoing and extraverted brother. The fact that he was telling these things to her had taken her by complete surprise.

But Chirp wasn’t done “Ever since you started a conflict with Equestria mom, you’ve wanted nothing but revenge. And not only that, but ever since the invasion failed, everybuggy back at the hive talking about how much angrier you’ve become. We rarely ever see you anymore. Not in the throne room, not at mealtimes, and not even in the nursery looking out for all of our little brothers and sisters!” he exclaimed “Mom…you’re scaring everyone at the hive. Day in and day out you always go on and on about how you will be getting your revenge and how the rest of us changelings will be the key in you doing so.” Chirp stopped talking for a second, the impalpable and shocking silence followed his words as the young changeling hatchling, normally so shy and quiet, now stood firm as he looked his titanic ruler dead in the eye and asked “Your highness, do you really care for us as your subjects? Or are we all just a means to an end for you to keep fighting your pointless battle against the ponies?”

“…Wow. Tha lil’ feller got some real guts standing up ta Chrysalis like that,” Applejack commented in amazement. Finally breaking the silence.

“Indeed,” replied Princess Luna as she gazed back out at the two young colts with a softer regard than she had done so previously “I had no idea that such a sentiment was shared with some of the changelings. Even some of them feel like the invasion was not the right move, and negotiation was the better alternative,”

Pinkie Pie nodded sagely “Awww, poor little guys! I can’t imagine how sad they must have felt knowing their mommy was acting all grumpy-wumpy! I know! I can throw them a ‘sorry you feel sad but here’s a party to cheer you up’ party!” the little baker squealed, tossing a hoof full of confetti into the air that she had pulled out of…somewhere.

“Sorry Pinkie, but I don’t think a party is going to be much help to those little guys,” Rainbow Dash said.

“Not with that attitude!”

“Those poor little colts,” Fluttershy said softly “I can’t imagine just how scared and anxious they must have been while they were at the hive. Ohhh, I wish I could give them both a hug right now,”

Discord meanwhile was still munching on his popcorn nervously and had conjured up another large tub which he handed to Spike and Twilight while he and the rest of the others present waited in bated breath for Queen Chrysalis’ response.

Meanwhile Chrysalis was just standing there in silence at the outburst Chirp had just had. Contemplating deeply what she had heard. Was she really doing all of this because of the influence of the growth ray? Had her little changelings suffered so much because of her negligence? In the past she had only done those actions because she was trying to do what was best for her hive, right? So why did it all feel so…wrong now? Chrysalis contemplated everything that she had heard up till now. It all swirled around in her head, becoming clearer and clearer by the minute.

…The Wedding

…The failed invasion

…The feeling of shock and then pure rage and loathing.

…Isolation from everybuggy

…And her revenge

Chip and Chirp were looking up in confusion as Queen Chrysalis had stopped talking entirely, and was now looking out into the distance, lost in thought. “Is she…Is she alright?” Chip whispered hesitantly to his brother. Chirp just glanced at him and shrugged. Turning his attention back to the colossal changeling queen. But as they were about to attempt to fly up to her to check what was wrong, Chirp suddenly gasped in fear. “Chip look!” he cried, pointing upwards.

Chrysalis blinked as her senses slowly came back to her. The sudden influx of thoughts and reminders of the past slowly jumpstarted her mind. Memories of her rage, anger, and plans of revenge began to fill her mind once more. The large, goofy smile that had adorned the giantess’ face for the entire duration of the trip slowly faded away, now being replaced by an all too familiar stern look. Chrysalis slowly turned her head back down towards the tiny mountain, and the even tinier changelings. And it was there, Chip felt his stomach turn upside down and his blood turn to ice. Chrysalis’ eyes were no longer tinted pink. They were back to their normal emerald green.

The effects of the growth ray had finally worn off. And Queen Chrysalis had not been shrunken back down. The Changeling Queen now stood thousands of miles tall, looming mightily over the entire continent, the most powerful being alive. With the evil mare now completely in the right state of mind.

“I KNEW IT!!” Rainbow Dash hollered out as she landed hard on her hooves. She pointed up accusingly at Chip and Chirp and yelled out “I knew those two little troublemakers weren’t trying to help us! They were just trying to make Chrysalis remember she’s supposed to be evil! Now she’s gonna squish us!”

“Chrysalis turned back to normal?! WE’RE DOOMED!!!” Twilight screamed, running around in a panic, Spike doing the same, and even Discord getting in on it. The three of them throwing up their hands, hooves, and claws and running around frantically. The others weren’t faring well either. The thought that one of their greatest enemies was now this big and powerful was too nauseating to bear! The Princesses were taking this especially hard. What was going to happen to them now? Should they just wave the white flag of surrender now? Hope that things can be settled somewhat peacefully? Or will they all end up getting confined to those icky pods and then Chrysalis would wear them all like necklaces? Or maybe she would-

SPLOOOSH!!!

Princess Celestia and Luna’s ears shot up as the menacing sound of gallons of water impacting the castle. Before either of them could react, the doors and windows burst open and a waterfall cascaded in. With the force of an ocean descending down upon them, the guards, princesses, mane 6, Discord, and Spike were all washed up against the tidal wave and splashed against the back wall of the throne room, taking out the thrones in the process too. The ponies all groaned as they tried getting back up shakily “Whoo nelly! What in tarnation was that?” Applejack asked as she dumped water out of her sopping wet Stetson before placing it back on her head.

“Maybe it was a giant water balloon!” Pinkie suggested, stretching in place and shaking herself off like a dog. “Pinkie dear, I don’t think that was it,” Rarity grumbled as she pushed her wet bangs out of her face.

Sniffle

Every creature in the throne room all blinked as the echoing sound of someone sniffling rumbled the castle. Something huge. Luna looked up at the ceiling in bewilderment “It couldn’t be. Could that have truly been…?”

“Chrysalis?” Twilight finished as she wandered over to the balcony and looked up at the Titan “She’s crying?”

Chrysalis was indeed. She sniffled again as another tear rolled down her cheek, dropping down towards the ground.

“Hit the deck!” Rainbow Dash hollered as another gigantic wave splashed into the castle, washing them all back against the wall again.

Now that she was in the right state of mind, the verbal tongue lashing she had received had finally resonated with her. Beforehand, had one of her drones talked this way to her, she would have punished them severely for their impudence. But since she was under the effect of the growth ray, she finally got to hear what her own children have been wanting to tell her for a while now. And It was hard for her to bear. Because everything they had said was right. Back then, everything she had done was for the welfare of the hive. From gathering food, to supplies, and other such endeavors. But now, even Chrysalis had to admit she had started becoming over ambitious when it came to her plans. She had wanted a way to secure food for the hive for years and years to come. And the wedding had seemed like a perfect way to do that. But when it failed, Chrysalis had felt like this wasn’t only a failure on her part, but a failure to the entire hive. To her children.

That was why she had become so obsessed with revenge.

But with all of her planning and scheming she had done, Chrysalis never realized just how profound of an impact it was having on the rest of her hive. To put it simply, they were beginning to become scared of her. She had become more violent, having several angry outbursts at some poor unsuspecting drone for trivial matters, increased work hours to secure even more love, even when it was now riskier than ever to do so. And while her drones, no, her children, were toiling away from the labor, she had isolated herself from the other to continue planning and scheming for revenge on the ponies.

And it broke her heart to hear from her little changelings just how far she had fallen in such a short amount of time. Another tear fell to the ground, striking Canterlot and unleashing another torrent of water. Chrysalis sniffled again, turning her attention back to her two grubs that she was holding in her hoof. And as slowly and carefully as she could, brought them into a massive hug. Chip and Chirp squeaked in surprise as they were brought into the warm embrace of their Queen.

I AM SO, SO SORRY TO THE BOTH OF YOU,” Chrysalis said, her voice now a great deal softer than before, though it still echoed through the air with a great deal of power and ferocity “I HAD NO IDEA WHAT I WAS DOING WAS…NO. YOU KNOW WHAT? NO MORE EXCUSES. IT’S TIME I OWNED UP TO MY MISTAKES,” Chrysalis gently broke apart from the hug, holding her hoof back out in front of her so she could see the two hatchlings. Chip and Chirp staring up inquisitively at her “I’VE BEEN MAKING SOME PRETTY BAD DECISIONS LATELY. FIRST THE WEDDING, THEN OVERWORKING THE HIVE, AND MY REVENGE. I DIDN’T LEARN ANYTHING FROM ANY OF THOSE EXPERIENCES. AND NOW, I WAS ABOUT TO MAKE ANOTHER BAD DECISION UNTIL YOU TWO STOPPED ME AND TALKED SOME SENCE BACK INTO ME. BUT APLOGIZING ALONE ISN’T GOING TO BE ENOUGH. I WANT TO START OVER AND DO BETTER. NOT JUST AS QUEEN OF THE HIVE, BUT AS A BETTER MARE OVERALL.” She said. Chrysalis took a deep breath and continued “I WANT TO DO BETTER. I WILL DO BETTER. WILL YOU TWO ACCEPT THIS OLD AND FOOLISH MARE’S APOLOGY?” she asked.

Everyone down in Canterlot had their jaws on the floor. The fearsome and evil Queen Chrysalis had shed tears over her past grievances and then apologized for what she had done, promising that she wanted to do better? No one could hardly believe what they were hearing!

Chip and Chirp looked at each other as they heard Chrysalis’ apology. This was the first time she had ever apologized for anything she had done. And not only that, but she was asking them specifically too.

Chip smiled “Of course I forgive you!” he said. Chirp nodded, voicing his approval as well.

Chrysalis smiled and lit up her horn. A soft emerald glow enveloped the two of them and they were carried off her hoof and back onto the balcony of Canterlot castle. From there, Chrysalis focused in on the diminutive form of Twilight still watching her from the balcony “Alright Sparkle. You can go ahead and shrink me back to normal now,” she said authoritatively. Twilight blinked “Wait, you knew? You knew what our plan was the entire time?” she asked the titan in disbelief. Chrysalis giggled, covering her mouth with a hoof “I’m the Changeling queen young filly. Of course, I would know what you were all planning down there,” she tittered.

Purple smart grumbled as she walked back into the throne room to retrieve the shrink ray, lamenting the fact that a perfectly good plan had gone to waste. And while Twilight went to do that, Chrysalis reached down and scooped up the inhibitor ring that was covering the nearby city, winking down at the speck sized inhabitants as her gargantuan hoof descended down from the sky, blotting out the sun as she retrieved the mountain sized ring. The world shook around the residents of the city as the gigantic ring was lifted into the air, chunks of dirt and grass falling from the bottom of it. But once it was high enough away from them, their magic was once more restored. The citizens all cheered as they saw the titanic changeling save them from their entrapment.

As Chrysalis magicked the ring away, she turned her attention back to Canterlot, where Twilight had returned with the shrink ray, accompanied by Chip, Chirp, and the rest of the others who had been present in the throne room. She laughed to herself “I guess I shouldn’t be surprised that the others would want to be present. Very well then, go ahead Sparkle,” she said. Twilight nodded and pulled down on a lever. The machine hummed to life, the tip sparking with orange electricity, before a beam shot out and engulfed Chrysalis. Everyone on the balcony watched as at long last, Chrysalis’ gigantic form finally began to get smaller until she was back to her normal size. The shrink ray spluttered and died down, finally exhausting all of its power as Chrysalis flew up to the balcony and touched down. Chip and Chirp both cheered and rushed over to her, leaping into her outstretched arms.

Everyone let out a dawwww at the adorable scene, Chrysalis even rocking in place as she held her two hatchlings against her chest, feeling like for the first time, there was actual joy in her heart. A feeling she hadn’t felt in a very long time.

“So, what will you do now Chrysalis?” Celestia asked her, as the changeling queen finally broke away from the hug and gently set the two hatchlings back down on the ground. Chrysalis looked at her with an even state “I believe the first thing I need to do is go back to my hive and inform my subjects that I no longer wish to have any conflict with you or your nation,” she said, “I wish to properly establish a working relation between my hive and your kingdom,”

Luna nodded “I believe we can work something out,” she said calmly “It would be most beneficial for both of our nations to finally come up to the negotiation table and talk about our own given terms. I believe you wish to have a deal worked out so Changelings no longer will need to go hungry, correct?”

Chrysalis nodded “Yes, as I stated at the wedding, that is my main concern.” She then broke off with a wince and an apologetic smile “Uh, yes, sorry about that again,”

Celestia waved her off with a hoof “I’m sure that you’ll be able to apologize to Cadance and Shining Armor later down the line, now that we will be working more closely together,” she said. Chrysalis nodded “I fully intend to. I need to make up for my past mistakes because it harmed not only my hive and children but your nation as well,”

“Chryssy! Ol’ pal! Nice to see you joining the reformed villain club!” Discord exclaimed joyfully as he popped into existence and threw an arm around her, pulling her into a hug. Chrysalis was none too happy about the sudden proximity and began squirming around “Awwww don’t be like that Chryssy! We’re amigos now! Reformed baddies now trying to be good in the world,” he said.

Chrysalis growled “That doesn’t make you any less annoying!”

“Oh, pish posh darling!” Discord cackled, giving his best Rarity impression “How can you be annoyed at the all powerful master of chaos that is Moi?” he said gesturing to himself with a wide grin. Chrysalis rolled her eyes “Didn’t seem ‘all powerful’ when you were cowering away at my power a few minutes ago,” she grumbled.

Discord deflated a bit “Oh, you heard that huh?”

“Yes! I heard everything! None of you here can talk quietly! I could hear all of your plans!” she said.

“Any doozy, Celly, mind if I keep this is a souvenir?” Discord asked, frantically changing the subject, poofing away and reappearing in front of them with the Changeling’s size ray with him. Celestia raised an eyebrow “And what could you possibly want that for?” she asked.

“As a souvenir!” Discord said again “This is just like the shrink ray from Honey I shrank the kids! I wanna add it to my movie prop collection I’m starting. Sure, this will be the very first item, but I’ll be expanding the collection soon! I want to get a lightsaber next! Oooh! Or maybe a DeLorean! Oh wait! How about Godzilla plushies! So many possibilities!”

“Discord what are you even talking about?” Twilight pipped up.

“This my dear little purple pony is movie magic!” Discord cried out, spreading his arms as confetti and streamers rained down from nowhere.

“Ohhhh key, well, I don’t see anything wrong with that. So long as you don’t use that ray for anything else,” Celestia said.

Discord pouted “Awww, I wanted to reenact some of the scenes from the movie. Maybe shrink some of the guards into the carpet and have you and Luna go on a scavenger hunt for them, or grow you and Lulu as big as the mountains next,” Celestia and Luna waved him off, a heavy blush on their faces “Absolutely not!” Celestia said, while the guards took several steps back, eyeing the machine warily, staying far away from it in case Discord tries one of his many tricks.

But that thankfully was no longer any of their concerns. Everyone’s attention was turned back to the size ray as it began shuddering and vibrating. Sparks flying off of it.

“Wh-what is this?” One of the guards asked in a panic, backing up even more “What’s going on?”

“Oh no! The machine overloaded! It’s gonna blow!” Chip hollered “Take cover!”

Instantly, Chrysalis dashed in front of her two ‘lings and threw up a barrier while several of the guards and the princesses did the same. Discord let out an eep! And took refuge behind Twilight as she threw up a barrier as well. The size ray was vibrating more violently before, finally, it exploded in spectacular fashion. Metal shards and other parts flew everywhere, bouncing harmlessly off of everyone’s shields and onto the floor while a beam of energy shot through the roof and into the sky. The last of the size ray’s power being expelled after it had been squished and then hastily put back together. The machine couldn’t take anymore.

Everyone coughed and waved away the smoke while some guards began putting out the tiny fires that sprang up using water spells.

“Nooooo! My shrink ray!” Discord wailed, dropping to his knees and throwing his arms into the sky in despair.

“Perhaps this was all for the best darling,” Rarity commented, staring at the smoldering remains of the ray and patting the draconequus on the shoulder comfortingly.

Applejack leaned towards Rainbow Dash and whispered into her ear “Can’t he jus snap his fingers and fix tha darn thing?” she asked. Rainbow Dash snickered “Yeah but don’t tell him that,” she giggled.

Chrysalis meanwhile slowly walked up to the royal sisters and humbly bowered her head “Again, I must apologize for the damages Princess,” she said.

“It’s alright, there was no harm done,” Luna said, “the ray barely made a dent in the throne room,”

“And not much was done to our ponies while you were, out and about shall we say,” Celestia pipped up “So there’s nothing to worry about Chrysalis. You want to apologize for your actions as well as make amends, you’re already taking several steps to bettering yourself,”

Chrysalis nodded “I appreciate it, but for the time being, I should return to my hive and address the situation going forward. I shall send a messenger later tomorrow to inform you when I wish to meet with you and begin our negotiations,” she said. The Princesses nodded and Chrysalis bid them farewell. But as she spread her wings, preparing to fly all the way back to her hive with Chip and Chirp in her magic, Fluttershy stepped up, asking Discord to teleport them back the hive to make it easier for them. Though he was reluctant at first, he eventually relented. With a snap of his fingers, Chrysalis, Chip, and Chirp found themselves standing in front of the ruins of the hive.

Chrysalis’ eyes bugged out at the sight of her ruined hive “What happened here?!” she exclaimed, gesturing wildly at the rubble.

“Uhhh, you…sorta did this,” Chip answered nervously.

“I did?!” Chrysalis said “When?”

“When you grew for the first time. You outgrew the hive,”

Chrysalis stared at the hive in silence before sighing “Alright, I guess we have some cleanup to do before we can begin negotiations with Equestria. Where’s the rest of the hive? We should all work together to rebuild,”

“Uhhh…They’re having a party,”

Chrysalis facehoofed “Of course they are.” She mumbled “Alright then, let’s go round them up and get to work. Starting today, we’ll be entering a new era of the hive,”

A few days had passed since Chrysalis surrendered. Since then, there had been a bunch of remarkable changes brought forth by both the Changeling hive and the kingdom of Equestria. First and foremost was that Changelings were no longer seen as enemies of the nation. In fact, when Chrysalis had finally made it back to Canterlot to begin her negotiations with the Princesses, she was brought on stage with Celestia and Luna as they publicly announced and welcomed their new allies, while Chrysalis nervously waved at the cameras with an awkward smile on her face, not used to being in the center of attention like this.

Of course, some ponies from Canterlot (the nobles especially) already had a negative opinion of her due to her invasion during the wedding a while ago, that was to be expected, but for the ponies who had traveled from out of town for the announcement were excited to hear this. After all, they had all encountered Chrysalis while she had been Titan sized and had really enjoyed getting to meet her in all of her bubbly nature. So, they were more than willing to give her a fair shot at redemption. Their cheers for her drowning out the boos from the nobles by a landslide.

Once the announcements were made, the three of them made their way to the conference rooms and got down to business, discussing their negotiations. It was agreed on that Changelings can become citizens of Equestria if they so choose and that ponies will work with changelings to help develop a way to combat their constant love hunger. Chrysalis had mentioned being able to eat passive love in the air while being a Titan so she had gladly allowed some of the best scientist at Canterlot to run some tests on her to see if there was a way to replicate that with other changelings. This way they wouldn’t have to constantly feed off ponies.

On the changeling side of things, they had agreed to share their engineering knowledge and building experience with Equestria, helping to develop the nation further as well as their own. And there was also the issue of the damages Chrysalis had caused while Titan sized. She agreed to send some of her Changelings over to help fix the damages and fill in the craters her hooves left behind as well as help fund the repairs herself. Both parties had left the negotiation room feeling satisfied, looking forward to the future as allies rather than enemies.

After the announcement was made, it was the perfect time for Pinkie to pop out of a random suit of armor as they were exiting the conference room (scaring the stars off Luna’s mane and causing Chrysalis to jump into some random guard’s arms in fear while Celestia fell on the ground laughing her flank off) and announce she was planning a ‘thank you for becoming friends with us now lets have an awesome time’ party. While the others were gathering their wits at the impossibility of Pinkie Pie once again, Pinkie simply walked around the corner and then reemerged pushing the entire mane 6 and Spike forward. All of them extremely confused as to how they got there because they could have sworn, they were all going about their day before suddenly finding themselves in Canterlot being pushed by Pinkie through the castle halls for a party.

But none of them were complaining. A Pinkie party is a pinkie party!

And so, the celebration went, with both ponies and changelings in attendance. All of them were in high spirits at the recent events that had passed as they partied with their new allies and friends. With the size ray now completely destroyed, the energy that was left now released and dispersed into the air, and the original spell book completely out of magic, it seemed like this was finally the end of any size related shenanigans.

…Right?

Right?

As night fell across Equestria and the moon rose into the sky, everyone settled into bed and fell asleep, tired but pleased from the festivities that had taken place. But, if anyone were to have stayed awake, they would have noticed the huge hulking figure slowly growing in size, their eyes glowing a warm emerald green as they rose higher into the sky. Eventually coming to a stop at a height thousands of feet tall with clouds circling around the titanic pony’s legs.

Big Macintosh looked around at the tiny Equestria in front of him. Now that he was better from feeling sick, he could go back to testing out his new/mutated magic given to him from the spell book. Truthfully, he was excited to be back at it because even now he was still discovering new abilities left and right. But tonight, he had a different goal in mind. Growing himself even taller, until an several mountains could fit under his hoof, Big Macintosh began to walk. His powerful new magic manipulating the earth to avoid causing any tremors and his hooves not damaging anything either as he walked over to the sites where Chrysalis had caused damage. Whether that was a giant hoof print left behind, a town put back in the wrong place, or a few damaged buildings. There was plenty for him to repair. Big Macintosh grinned to himself, imagining the shocked look on everyone’s faces when they discovered everything had been magically repaired overnight. Just another bit of helpful pranking he liked doing.

As the moon rose high into the sky, Big Mac got to work, silently repairing everything while everypony slept. Eager to finish up so he can continue experimenting with his size magic and upgraded nature magic.

Ah wonder how life’s gonna go now that Ah have this here magic?” he wondered as he tapped the ground and a crater magically refilled itself with the greenery regrowing in a shower of emerald magic “Ah’m sure life’s gonna get real interesting now. Though, Ah still have ta keep it a secret since tha princesses and AJ think there ain’t no titan left in me. Judging by how everypony acted during tha whole titan debacle, Ah’d say it’s best ta keep this under wraps fer now,”

Big Mac nodded to himself, holding in the “Eeyup,” he was going to say but thought against it or else everyone would have heard it. He set off into the night, repairing Equestria as he went. Now, secretly, the only remaining Titan.

For now, at least. But that’s a story for another time.

The End
