Castle of Friendship: Cutie Map

The group had navigated through the corridors of the castle finally arrived at the cutie map room, when they did the Mane Six and Spike were shocked to say the least that the map had expanded.

Sonic on the other hand was in awe of the map itself, it showed all of Equestria along with a lot of places outside of the country. He felt his stomach fill with excitement, from all of the possible adventures that could come from these places.

After a moment of silence Twilight was the first to break it. “This happened while we were gone?” Her question was answered by Sonic.

“I think so, but honestly I’ve never even been here before.” His answer was mostly ignored.

“Wow! Those are all the places we went when we left to save Equestria!” Applejack pointed out, as they all looked to one another.

“Ugh! There's that horrid town where we were almost sold!” Rarity said with disgust, with most of the others agreeing with her when they went to Klugetown.

Rainbow suddenly zoomed to a certain ship that was flying in the air. “The pirates! They were pretty awesome! Uh, once they decided not to throw us overboard. And where Blue dude here did a… uh what was it called again?” She asked Sonic to which he faced her.

“Sea Shanty also known as “Wellerman” which is pretty ironic, when you think about it.” He joked making the others shake their heads in amusement.

“And Mount Aris!” Pinkie pointed out as she knocked Applejack over. “Ooh, Starlight! Did you know we made seashell necklaces for aaaaaa...” She inhaled to catch her breath. “...aaaaall the seaponies?” This caught Starlight off guard.

“I... You... Really? What about that unicorn? The one who attacked Canterlot?” She asked with concern.

“Tempest! I invited her to come to Ponyville, but she wanted to spread the word of the Storm King's defeat and share what she learned about friendship.” Twilight explained.

“You’re right on that “Bookmaster” kinda of a shocker that she decided to leave, so soon.” Sonic commented.

Twilight smiled and nodded at him with understanding. “Y'all think that's why the map grew? Friendship quests beyond Equestria?” Applejack asked as she trotted over to Fluttershy.

“I hope not. I've had quite enough life-threatening adventures, thank you very much.” She said with sternly, while Applejack smiled at her with amusement.

A measuring tape suddenly appeared from nowhere extending its reach towards the map, and coming into contact with it as Pinkie ran over holding it with a construction hat, that had a red light blinking on top of it she also wore a buckle with construction tools. “How many friendship quests do you think we need to go on before we have to expand the throne room?”

Everyone looked at her weirdly before refocusing on what was happening. “We can’t do it all alone.” Twilight declared.

“Sure we can!” Pinkie exclaimed whiling holding a clipboard before dashing to one of the walls with a drill. “We just need to knock this wall down, get some paint...” She held out a paint can and brush, but Twilight cut her off.

“No. I mean, the world is filled with so many different creatures who know nothing about friendship. We need help if we're gonna teach them all about friendship. Lots of help.” She explained as she went around the table to a certain part of the map.

“Perhaps. But where does one go to learnabout friendship?” Rarity questioned.

“I’m with “Fashionista” on this one, considering it took me thirteen years to interact with someone else.” Most of the group looked at him with wide eyes, except Twilight and Spike.

“Oh yeah that’s how long I was in isolation for, with ten years being spent on a different planet while the other three were here in Equestria.” He explained making them all ‘oh’ in response.

They all then diverted their attention to Twilight who placed her hoof, right by the waterfall that went down to Ponyville was. “Here! They can all go here! Because we're gonna open a school!”

“That’s a great idea just one question.” Sonic said to Twilight who faced him.

“Go on.” She responded.

“How long will this take exactly to build, more specifically who’s gonna build it?” He asked, to which Twilight grew a confident smile.

“I already have that figured out.” She replied, Sonic simply whistled as he gave her a thumbs up.

“Well I better get my face ready!” He commented when suddenly a frying pan appeared from nowhere hitting his forehead, the others winced before he placed a hand on said forehead. “AAAAAUUUUUGGGGGHHHHH!!!”





Sonic ran at incredible speeds through the town of Ponyville, passing by most of the residents who jumped in surprise of his sudden pass by. He also ran past the Mane Six before sliding to a stop and running back towards them.

Sonic ran with his fist forward as he then ran through the school hallways entering different rooms, it then showed Sonic and the Mane Six standing in front of the students who walked into the school.

The CMC high hoofed, as a figure opened their eyes with a glare, while Celestia looked at scroll worried, to which Sonic ran with determination before shrugging nervously.

Chancellor Neighsay looked furious, while Sonic jumped from nowhere and grabbed hold of Starlight’s hoof running with her, it then showed Cozy Glow who flew alongside the CMC.

Sonic then ran through the Castle of the Two Sisters, barley dodging a sword that was swung by a hidden figure.

Sonic was seen standing before he rushed off to the side. Sonic then jumped at something with his arms spread out. Sonic then ran really fast to where his legs had become wheels before blasting off down the train tracks.

Sonic was seen hanging out with Discord, to which it showed him dancing alongside the Young Six, then showing multiple moments of him fighting the mysterious figure. He then hugged Celestia and Luna at the same time who smiled.

Sonic dodged arrows by moving left and right, it then showed him playing guitar alongside Vinyl and Octavia, before showing him jumping off of a house.

Sonic did a midair flip, but then joined in with the Mane Six and all of the students within a picture that showed them all together.

Chapter 1: School Daze Pt 1



Celestia’s School for Gifted Unicorns

“I think a school of friendship is a wonderful idea, Twilight! I'll help in any way I can.” Celestia expressed with agreement as she gestured her hoof towards the classroom full of Unicorns.

Twilight who was holding a notepad with her magic wrote down some notes with her quill, trying to get as much information as possible. She then ran after Celestia who was walking down the hallway, with Spike also following closely behind. “I just have a few questions. What time should school start each day?” Twilight asked Celestia who smiled at her student.

“It really d—“ But she was cut off when Twilight swapped notes. 

“What's the ideal length for class? Do you test regularly?” Celestia smiled once more.

“Oh, well, that's—” But she was cut off again.

“What about class projects?” Celestia tried to speak once more.

“That's a very—” For the third time she was cut off. 

“Assigned seating? Open seating? Or is that... too unstructured?” Twilight asked only for Celestia to giggle lightly and grab her notes, with her magic. “Oh, Twilight. You were my star pupil. If anyone knows how to run a school, it's you.” She explained while handing back the notes.

“There's a big difference between attending a school and running one. It's not like there's a rule book to follow.” Twilight guessed.

“Actually, there is. The EEA guidebook is very specific about how to run a school.” Celestia explained.

“The EEA? I've never heard of that.” She looked at Spike who shrugged. “Should I have heard of that?!” Twilight asked with worry.

But Celestia continued smiling at her. “Of course not. You've never run a school before. The Equestria Education Association is a board of learned ponies that oversee every school in Equestria.” The explanation was written down by Spike.

“Even your school? But you're you!” Spike pointed out.

Celestia shook her head lightly. “Not even a princess can do whatever she likes when it comes to shaping young pony minds. The EEA ensures that whether it's unicorns studying magic, Pegasi learning weather, or Earth ponies researching agriculture, all schools are held to the same high standard. They'll need to approve your plan before you can move forward.” After she said that Twilight grew determined.

“Okay, Spike, looks like we have a presentation to make.” She stated.

Spike scoffed. “After everything we've been through, how hard can that be?” He asked with a slight smug tone.



EEA

A light shines down onto them and they were both to say the least were intimidated, by what they saw. Even though they had notes upon notes of books prepared for the occasion it all seemed to be useless, when all of the eyes were on them with emotionless faces.

“I'm gonna go with "really hard".” Spike whispered to her as he hid behind the notes, while Twilight faced the ponies in front of her. 

“Uh, hello. My name is—” But she was cut off by the Unicorn who stood above them all, “Princess Twilight Sparkle. I am Chancellor Neighsay. Equestria owes you a great debt. But princess or no, we expect you to do things by... the... book!”

He grabbed the book that was in front of him and placed it on the ground, in front of Twilight with his magic. Twilight picked it up and flipped through all of the pages before looking back up at Chancellor Neighsay with a smile.

“I think you'll find my curriculum meets all your requirements, Chancellor.” She told him before sending all of the books to each member of the EEA.

Neighsay opened it up and went flipped through it’s pages. “And can we trust you to follow through with this plan? Will you leave the school unattended to gallop off on your... "adventures"?” He asked cynically.

“My journey beyond Equestria showed me firsthoof that the threats out there are greater than we imagined!” This caused all of the EEA members to talk amongst themselves with what they just heard.

“If we want to keep our land safe and create a friendlier tomorrow, we need to teach the Magic of Friendship far and wide.” She continued.

“A school for ponies to learn how to protect themselves.” He inquired.

To which Twilight became a little nervous. “Uh, more like respecting differences and communicating.” This caused Neighsay to look towards the different members who all nodded, at Twilight’s idea with approval.

He then came to a conclusion. “The EEA concurs. Every pony should be prepared to defend our way of life. So, if your work is in order, provisional EEA approval is granted. We will need to observe your school up and running before it can be fully accredited.” He explained.

Twilight and Spike smiled at the approval. “Then please, join us for Friends and Family Day. It'll be the perfect time to see our progress!” She finished.

Neighsay then grabbed a stamp and pushed it against her curriculum book, approving of school which made both Twilight and Spike relieved that they managed to do so.



Castle of Friendship

Sonic was on his bed casually reading a comic book titled. “Humdrum and the Black Knight Issue 3” and to say the least he was enjoying it.

“Ha! Take that King Archer you should never underestimate the power of Humdrum, no matter how small he may be in size!” The sound knocking on his door became present as he faced towards it.

“Come in!” He called to whoever it was, the door opened up to reveal Twilight walking in with a smile on her face. “Oh hey ’Bookmaster’ what brings you into my humble abode?” He quipped getting a chuckle out of her.

“I’ve come to tell you that we’re officially opening up the school.” She announced making Sonic cheer a bit placing his comic down.

“That’s great!” He hopped off the bed and stood in front of her. “So what happens now?” He asked to which she continued smiling.

“While I was discussing with Celestia about the school, she mentioned that you should attend it as well… with her permission of course.” Twilight explained.

Sonic pumped his fist into the air. “Yes! I finally get to do something else for once!” But he noticed his friend held a small frown to which he raised a curious brow.

“There’s a catch to all of this isn’t there?” To which she nodded with disappointment, obviously not liking what she was about to say.

“You see the EEA might not take a liking to you considering, there has been no recorded history between a species Like yours and ours. And I believe if the EEA found out about you, it might lead to consequences that could affect not only you, but those that are close to you as well.” Her explanation made Sonic groan in annoyance sliding a hand down his face.

“Great, just great… the second things start to get good, they decide to get worse.” His complaints made Twilight feel bad for him.

“Look I don’t like it either but we have to do this, otherwise we won’t be able to succeed at spreading the magic of friendship far and wide.” She then pulled out something from behind her.

“Also you should wear this just in case.” Sonic saw what it was and he just stared at what he was seeing.



School of Friendship

Just adjacent of the Castle of Friendship was the brand new school, that Twilight and her friends have opened which was a pretty good size all things considered.

Out front a path to the entrance rose from the water and lead to a waterfall, which split in half to reveal the entrance doors and right above it was a picture of Twilight Sparkle.

But inside were the group of nine individuals who were preparing for the first day of school, but… “It's too much. Too much!” Rainbow Dash yelled from inside.

Rarity was the next to speak. “Ugh, you think so? I had hoped dressing the part would help me feel the part.” Rarity complained while wearing a teacher outfit.

Rainbow flew down and met with her nose. “Not your dress! This! Us! Teaching?! They're gonna think I'm an egghead!” After releasing her stress she flew forward only to backup, as a cannon moved forwards.

And Pinkie popped out of it. “Well, the students are gonna love my confetti cannon class. It's gonna be... a blast!” She put on a helmet and blasted quite literally out of her cannon.

Fluttershy stood in front of some of her animals and tried practising. “Um, hello there. I'm your teacher. I hope you enjoy class. But if you don't enjoy it, that's okay, too.” Only to have most of them leave and Angel Bunny facepalm himself, making Fluttershy frown sadly.

Applejack stood next to Starlight behind a table. “I don't know about all this.” She admitted.

“Yeah me too, after all I have to wear my same attire I had from the festival.” Sonic added while being seen wearing a red shirt that went down to his legs, a cowboy like hat and sunglasses.

“Why are you wearing that darling might I ask?” Rarity questioned.

To which Sonic scratched the back of his head. “Honestly it’s because “Bookmaster” is worried of what the EEA may think of…” he took of his hat and sunglasses.

“…This!” He finished making them all look at each other in understanding as he put his hat and sunglasses back on.

“Makes sense considering they had to make a cover up story, to avoid you being known to the full public all over Equestria.” Rainbow inputted.

“Yeah and I thought becoming friends with you guys would be enough.” Sonic added with disappointment while crossing his arms.

“It's going to be fine. Everything about this school just feels right.” Twilight said casually while reading the rule book.

“See? If Twilight isn't stressed, you've got nothing to worry about.” Starlight pointed out before walking to the side with some books.

“And you're sure you want us to be teachers? In classrooms?” Applejack asked with worry.

“And me being a student?” Sonic added just as worried, Twilight then floated the rule book in front of them.

“The EEA is very clear on how schools should be run. We have a hugeresponsibility, and I need you all to do this by the book. That means no cannons in class, Pinkie and no using your speed Sonic.” She stared at the both of them with a serious look.

“Awww. Not even a teeny cannon?” Pinkie asked high pitched while holding a very tiny cannon that went off.

Sonic frowned however. “Come on! That’s my special trait, I mean I’m still weary of those who want my power… but isn’t this a little excessive.”

“I know it's not some big adventure against the forces of evil, but this could be the most important thing we've ever done. I can't run a school of friendship without my best friends. Can I count on you?” Twilight asked them.

“Of course you can, darling.” Rarity responded.

“Call me Professor Egghead. I’m in!” Rainbow added.

Sonic looked at them and smiled. “Okay I’ll do it because it’s something new after all.” They all placed their hooves/hand together, and then lifted them up into the air showing they were ready.

Suddenly the bell rang and Pinkie got excited. “Ah! First day at school! So many new ponies!” She screamed loudly, making the group smile.

“About that. One thing I forgot to mention. It's not just ponies.” Twilight explained as she opened the door revealing not only ponies but a Dragon, Griffon, Yak, Changeling and a Hippogriff.

All of them came in and to say the group were shocked would be an understatement. “That was unexpected.” Pinkie admitted which took Sonic by surprise but he didn’t speak about it.

“Okay I guess I should go join the crowd then.” He told his friends before walking into the mass of students, not before grabbing the edge of his hat and tipping it to his friends.

“Ooh! Students certainly traveled from far and wide to attend our school!” Rarity admired while handing a student a book with her magic.

Twilight who was reading the rule book looked at her friend. “Princess Celestia helped me reach out to all the kingdoms. After all, friendship is something that needs to be shared with every... creature.” They saw a Changeling who looked very shy, which reminded Twilight that they couldn’t just say Everypony.

She then made the rule book disappear in a flash and went up front, to get all of the students attention. “Welcome to the School of Friendship! I'm your headmare Twilight Sparkle. Please follow Guidance Counselor Starlight to sign in and get your class assignments. Then we can show you your living quarters.” With that said the students began moving around.

One particular pony walked to the right and admired the location, but then accidentally bumped into someone. He looked to see a Griffon who turned to face him. “Whoa, sorry! I'm Sandbar. Are you a student here, too?” Sandbar asked to which the Griffon stared at him unamused.

“No, I just figured I'd randomly stand here and see how many ponies would walk into me.” The Griffon spoke sarcastically.

Then a loud gruffly voice was heard. “Gallus!” This caused both of them to flinch but Gallus complied to the voice, and walked towards its owner.

An elder Griffon wheezed heavily scaring off a few  ponies, Rainbow Dash flew over recognising him. “Grandpa Gruff? What are you doing here?” She asked in surprise.

“Flew all the way from Griffonstone to introduce Gallus.” He gestured his hand towards the blue Griffon, who had his head hung low.

Gallus then looked up to Rainbow Dash and went wide eyed. “Rainbow Dash, right? Gilda told me about you. You're a teacher?” Rainbow nodded. “Huh. Thought you'd be... cooler.” This made Rainbow frown in shock.

Suddenly the doors opened. “Ponies!” Some turned their heads to see a giant Yak.

One particular pony recognised him instantly. “Prince Rutherford!” Pinkie yelled as she bounced over to a younger Yak that Rutherford walked over to as well.

“This Yona Yak. She come to pony school. Hah. Make it better.” Pinkie saluted.

“Yak can't wait to meet ponies and tell all about Yakyakistan!” Yona exclaimed only trip on her hair and hit a wall which caused a plant to fall, then she hit a statue holder that made a stone statue fall, followed by a hanging fabric.

Yona then fell flat on her stomach dazed as Pinkie caught all three objects, Yona managed to get out of her daze as Applejack walked over and placed her hoof on the Yak.

“Why don't I show you around before you destroy the place?” Applejack suggested.

A blue dragon pulled an orange dragon by her arm much to the latters annoyance. “But dragons are better than this! Why am I here?“ The orange dragon asked while getting out of the hold.

The blue dragon came back over. “Because as Dragon Lord, I'm ordering you to be here!” She then looked over and saw a familiar purple dragon. “Hey, Spike! Come meet Smolder.”

Spike looked over and smiled running over, as he dropped his parchment and quill. “Great to see you, Ember!” He hugged her waist, making Ember embarrassed but he let go quickly.

He then looked to see Smolder only to get confused. “Uh, which one is Smolder?” He asked to which Ember turned around and was surprised.

Smolder looked confused before looking forward to see a taller brown dragon, who looked shy rubbing her arm. Smolder leaned forward analysing the dragon with and eye only for a voice to break her concentration. “Ocellus! What did we talk about?” A Changeling named Thorax walked over scolding the fake dragon.

Ocellus looked down embarrassed as a cyan aura surrounded her, and turned into a smaller cyan Changeling. Smolder in absolute shock walked backwards. “I told you, stay in your own form. It's the polite thing to do. Sorry, she's shy.” He explained.

Suddenly a new voice appeared. “What is that?!” A Hippogriff poked her head over the crowd and flew after Ocellus, who transformed into a pony before running off as the Hippogriff continued following her.

Ocellus ran and hid under Fluttershy’s mane. “No way! I didn't know ponies could turn into... um... What are you?” The Hippogriff asked pulling up Fluttershy’s mane.

“A changeling.” Thorax explained to her.

“Ponies can turn into changelings?!” The Hippogriff squealed.

“No, but changelings can turn into ponies.” Fluttershy explained as she rubbed the back of Ocellus’s head making the young changeling smile.

“Huh. That's confusing!” Suddenly a bigger Hippogriff landed next to the smaller one, making Ocellus walk back in fear transforming into her normal form.

“I am General Seaspray of Her Majesty Queen Novo's navy. I would like to introduce the queen's niece, Silverstream.” He told them.

“This place is amazing! I've spent most of my life in a coral reef underwater. I was a seapony, but now I'm a Hippogriff. Long story. Anyway, wow! Is that a yak?!” She yelled flying off after messing up Fluttershy’s mane.

Soon enough all of the students were hanging out with one another, but one student was by himself. Sonic just walked around in his disguise casually not really thinking all that much, but he was interested with the other creatures attending as well. “Man I wish I could just not wear these clothes anymore, but alas I have to because of potential fear of my existence being known to the EEA and all of Equestria which I’m surprised mom pulled off.” He then sighed in disappointment.

“If only things could be different but, I’m glad she’s given me a chance to improve myself.” He complimented her silently.

“Thank you so much for supporting the grand opening of our school. I hope you'll all join us for Friends and Family Day to see the amazing progress your students are making.” Twilight announced which caused most of the students to cheer.

“Looks like school's in session!” Twilight said to herself while levitating the rule book into her hoof.

They then began to sing.




Students: The School of Friendship, first day of class

Brand-new friends here by our side

Twilight Sparkle: Take a breath, look around, it's amazing
I can't believe that it's real
Students galore, new ideas to explore
Can't contain the excitement I feel

Make sure to do things by the book
Make sure to do it all right

Students: The School of Friendship, must get to class
Will we fail or will we pass?

Taking notes to pass the test

Twilight Sparkle: Wait, hold on! Not like that! Just a second!
I'm not sure if that method's approved
Let me take a look – yup, right here in the book

Rainbow Dash: Come on! We just got in the groove!

Twilight Sparkle: Can't mess up, can't afford a mistake now
We are shaping young minds to ignite
Do it like it says in the book
Now make sure you're doing it right

Pinkie Pie: There's not an equation on how to have fun

Fluttershy: The students look bored now – oh, what have I done?

Applejack: Can't teach bein' honest, not sure what to do

Rarity: I'm quite certain I'm lost

Mane Five: None of us has a clue!

Students School of Friendship, another class
Wish it were more of a blast
Thought this school would be more fun
Can't wait for our classes to be done

Twilight Sprakle: Can't mess up, can't afford a mistake now

Pinkie Pie: No way to have fun

Fluttershy: Oh, what have I done?

Students: Bored with this class

Twilight Sparkle: Think "success", keep it firmly in sight

Students: Wish that we could leave en masse!

Rarity: We don’t have a clue

Students: Listen to this one request
Make things fun, we're really stressed

Twilight Sparkle: Make sure to do things by the book now

Everyone sans Twilight: Can we tell her this thing is a mess?

School of Friendship: Days later

Sandbar, Smolder, Gallus, Ocellus, Yona and Silverstream were walking together down a hall to their next class, all of them groaning loudly. “Is this what boring is? Am I bored?” Silverstream asked desperately.

“Ugh, please. These ponies are the heroes of Equestria?” Smolder complained obviously not believing anything she was told.

Sandbar faced her. “Listen, these ponies saved all of us from the Storm King.” He explained, making Gallus frown even more.

“How? By boring him into surrender?” He sarcastically remarked getting a smile from Smolder.

“Our teachers are a little different than I expected.” Ocellus admitted with disappointment.

“Ugh! Pony school waste of time! Yak school teach how to braid yak hair! Braiding yak hair is best! Whoa!” Yona’s rant stopped when she accidentally tripped on her hair again, causing her to roll into Smolder sending her flying.

“Is there anything in Yakyakistan that isn't the best?” Smolder asked while crossing her arms, Yona quickly got back up to her feet.

“Yes! Wait. No! Yaks best.” This made Smolder roll her eyes.

“No claws, no wings, no fire. What is it exactly you're proud of?” She asked questionably this made Sandbar step forward.

“Whoa, cool it. No need to harsh Yona's love for her heritage, okay?” Only for Gallus to speak up.

“Awww, are we not being sweet and friendly enough for you, pony?” He retorted aggressively.

“That was sarcasm, right? Because you weren't being sweet or nice!” Silverstream inquired with optimism.

Smolder walked over to Gallus. “Maybe dragons and griffons are just too tough for friendship.” She fist bumped Gallus who smiled at her.

“Yaks tough, just not nasty.” Yona claimed stepping forward.

“Who you calling nasty, klutz?” Gallus growled.

They were head to head pushing aggressively until someone called out to them. “Okay, break it up! Break... it... up!” Rainbow flew down and pushed them apart.

This was followed by Applejack lassoing Gallus and Starlight levitating Yona into the air, all three Mares glaring. “What is going on here?!” Starlight demanded to know.

Gallus smirked. “Just a friendly discussion about the magic of friendship amongst friends.” He sarcastically remarked.

Applejack though wasn’t having it. “Everypony— I mean, everyone, go to your next class!” She ordered to which they all did as told. “I just can't believe it. Fights breakin' out when they're supposed to be learnin' friendship?” Applejack said with confusion.

“Things definitely aren't going as "by the book" as Twilight planned.” Starlight told them.

“That's because we're terrible teachers! Face it. This school isn't gonna work.” Rainbow pointed out making the other two Mares realise she was right.



School of Friendship: Minutes Earlier

Somewhere else in the school Sonic was walking by himself, sighing heavily as he took note of how this wasn’t working. “This has been so boring! Nothing fun has been happening, I haven’t been able to have a single conversation with anyone here because of how I look! And worst of all “Bookmaster” doesn’t seem to realise at all because of that stupid book!” He ranted to himself.

“So much for trying to make friends.” He muttered to himself, but suddenly an idea popped into his head. “Hey I know a place I could go, the nearby lake! None of the “Rainbow Ponies” will even check there!” He smiled to himself, before heading to his next class.



School of Friendship: Headmare’s Office (The next day)

To say all of the teachers were upset would be an understatement as they all complained about their problems, but Twilight didn’t seem to phased.

“I get it. Things are getting off to a rougher start than expected. But that's okay!” She said happily to which Spike grabbed her face bringing it close to his own.

“Who are you, and what have you done with Twilight Sparkle?” He questioned only for Twilight to levitate him off the desk.

“Every school in Equestria follows these rules. As long as we do too, we'll be fine.” She explained with optimism.

“Maybe we should... try something new?” Starlight suggested.

“The EEA will be here this afternoon for Friends and Family Day. They need to see a school that follows their guidelines.” This made the others uncomfortable.

“Even if those guidelines aren't working?” Fluttershy said nervously to which Twilight stood up.

“Well, then we have to try harder and make sure they do.” This caught them off guard.

“But what about Sonic? From what I’ve seen he hasn’t said a single word to any student, in any class I’ve taught him.” Rainbow inputted, this made the others look at her in agreement.

“Yeah he hasn’t said anything in mine too.” Pinkie added, all of them seeming to agree.

But Twilight wasn’t having any of it. “Just try to talk to him about it.” The others were very unsure considering what he was already dealing with.

The bell suddenly rung as Twilight regained her happy attitude. “Another morning, another chance to inspire our students!” She exclaimed as the others frowned but decided to leave, she nodded in approval before refocusing on her work.



School of Friendship

In one of the many hallways students were heading to their next class, but Smolder and Gallus were heading another direction which caught Sandbar’s eye. “Hey! Professor Dash's class is this way.” He pointed down the hall but he was ignored.

Both Gallus and Smolder ended up walking towards Ocellus, Yona and Silverstream. “Where are you going? You're not skipping, are you?” Ocellus asked with concern.

“That’s exactly what we’re doing.” Smolder replied calmly while fist bumping Gallus.

“But Friends and Family Day—” Silverstream was interrupted by Gallus.

“Is after class. Relax. This is just a quick... mental health break.” He explained while tapping his head with his wing.

The three creatures in front of them whispered amongst themselves, before facing the mischievous duo. “That sounds legit! We're in!” Silverstream confirmed.

“I guess I'll tag along, too. Make sure you don't get into... trouble.” Sandbar told them, making both Gallus and Smolder roll their eyes.

All six of them walked forward laughing only to hear a familiar voice. “This way, Angel!” It was Fluttershy.

“Professor Fluttershy! We're busted!” Silverstream whispered, to which Ocellus walked forward and changed into Rarity.

Fluttershy came around the corner and saw them. “Oh, my! What are you all doing? Aren't classes that way?” She asked them pointing down the hall.

“Ah— A generosity field trip, daaaaarling. I'm taking the students to the lake to look at our divine reflections.” “Rarity” explained.

“Oh, that sounds nice. Have fun!” Fluttershy told them before walking off, but Angel glared at them growling but hopped after his carer.

Ocellus turned back to normal, and together they all jogged down the hall laughing. “I take back everything I said about you! That was cool!” Smolder admitted making Ocellus smile.

“Thanks! Wait, what did you say about me?” Ocellus asked confused but she didn’t get an anwser.

The six of them made their way down the hall and were ready to relax a little bit.



School of Friendship: Courtyard

Meanwhile both Twilight and Starlight were walking together, discussing about the school. “You're sure sticking to the book is gonna work?” Starlight asked concerned.

“My friends can handle anything. They'll have these problems turned around before we know it.” Twilight stated with determination.

Then a portal opened up behind them. “Problems?” Chancellor Neighsay asked stepping out of the portal with a clipboard, making both Twilight and Starlight gasp.

“Chancellor Neighsay! You're here!” Twilight greeted nervously.

“Yes. And you seem unprepared. If there are problems...” He said as he wrote in the clipboard.

“Problems? Ha! Of course not! We can't wait to show you around!” Twilight exclaimed as both her and Starlight smiled nervously.

Neighsay continued writing notes making Twilight chuckle nervously.



The Lake

Somewhere a little bit away from the school were the group of young creatures, all having a blast talking with one another. “And that's why griffons breathe fire when we get mad.” Gallus finished making Silverstream excited.

“They do not! Wait! Do they? No! Really?!” Silverstream asked with excitement still filling her voice.

“Griffons just full of hot air!” Yona joked making them all laugh.

“And yaks are actually good at jokes. How about that?” Smolder admitted with surprise, before anyone could continue the sound of one’s voice became known.

They all became nervous as it got closer as they hear it was coming from in front of them, but their worries were put to rest when it turned out to be a bipedal wearing clothes.

“Hey isn’t that one of the other students?” Ocellus asked, to which they nodded.

“Yeah but I’ve never talked to him, have any you talked to him?” Smolder asked them to which they shook their heads.

“Well we should do so anyway.” Gallus said calmly to which they began walking over to the figure.



The Lake: Meanwhile

Sonic had made it to the lake not noticing the other students, he was purely focused on just relaxing for the awhile.

But then he heard footsteps coming his way in fact multiple footsteps, he looked to see the group of students walking towards him and he was nervous. “Hello there friendly student why are you here?!” Silverstream asked him.

“Uh… I came here because I wanted to get my mind off of school.” He replied making her gasp.

“Same with us!” Sonic was shocked to say the least. 

“That’s pretty cool but yeah I don’t really like school right now.” He admitted.

“What’s your reason?” Smolder asked him to which he held a frown.

“Because of well… this.” He gestured to his clothes.

“What’s wrong with that? It’s just some clothes from what I was told.” Gallus said calmly.

“No you don’t understand… it’s just that well… I’ll just show you guys.” He proceeded to take off his hat, sunglasses and shirt off revealing to the group of students who he was.

“Woah!” They all gasped in surprise of the blue Hedgehog that stood in front of them.

“Yeah.” Sonic replied flatly.

Suddenly Silverstream shot up. “Wait, wait, wait, wait! I’ve heard about you!” Sonic and the others were surprised to say the least.

“Really?” He asked her to which she nodded.

“Yeah you were uh… who are you again I kinda forgot.” She replied embarrassed.

“Oh I’m Sonic, Sonic the Hedgehog!” He answered making Silverstream cheer.

“Now I remember!” This made them laugh.

“So what’s the whole deal with the disguise thing?” Ocellus asked with curiosity to which Sonic faced her with a frown.

“Alright I’ll explain why… Basically I’m like an alien only from another world. Somehow I ended up with my adoptive mom, then I was forced to leave because of reasons. Then three years later lived on a different planet, and then spent next ten years alone on another planet called Earth, then came back here three years ago and ended up meeting with the “Rainbow Ponies” went on an adventure, helped stop The Storm King by sending him to another planet. Reunite with my adoptive mom and then the school opened up, thus leading to where we are right now.” He finished with a smile after his fast explanation.

And the group were speechless jaws dropped to the floor, none of them having any idea of what to say. “That’s so cool!” Smolder yelled as the others also commented on his explanation.

“Thanks.” Sonic replied.

They were all silent for a few more seconds before Sonic broke it. “So… what now?” He asked, to which Smolder flew up Into the air and smirked at them.

“Competition! Who’s up for a race?” She asked to which they all nodded in agreement.

Sonic most of all was ready to have some real fun, for once since school got boring but they weren’t aware of what was happening back at the school.

Twilight and Starlight were walking through the halls, with Chancellor Neighsay writing on his clipboard things were going okay for now, that was until Rainbow Dash came down the hall and stopped in front of them. “Rainbow Dash! Why aren't you in class teaching?” Twilight asked with nervousness.

Rainbow looked worried. “Because my students are gone!” She replied making both Twilight and Starlight scared as Chancellor Neighsay was right behind them.

Rainbow realised instantly and became nervous as well. “Uh, g-gone somewhere else! Doing a loyalty lesson! And-and I was just going to grab, uh... this pencil! Because they need it. Wherever they are. Which I know, 'cause... I'm the teacher!”

Starlight facehoofed while Twilight tried to talk out of it. “I see. Well, Chancellor, we have other classes. We can just—“ But she was cut off.

“Let's follow the professor. I'm quite curious about this lesson in loyalty.” He said with a cold tone which made Rainbow even more nervous, as she couldn’t fly away now.

With reluctance she guided them down the hall to this supposed ”Loyalty Lesson” She had.



The Lake

The Young Six and Sonic were all having a blast, running around the lake together Sonic held back due to obvious reasons, but he would soon show them.

Gallus, Silverstream, Ocellus and Smolder were all flying while Sonic, Sandbar and Yona were all running. But they were all laughing with each other enjoying the thrill. “Of course, we want to instill a sense of loyalty towards others. We encourage acts of generosity and kindness.” Twilight spoke.

Sandbar helped prevent Yona from tripping again when she stepped on her hair, by pushing her up with his strength making her smile at him as they continued to run.

Silverstream suggested an idea to the others and they agreed, flying down to the members on the ground. Gallus picked up Sandbar while both, Silverstream and Smolder picked up Yona who screamed.

Sonic grinned at them and quickly jumped up into the air and landed on Gallus’s back, which annoyed the Griffon but he quiickly realised how light he was and regained a smile.

Ocellus continued following the group without carrying anyone. “Figured we shouldn't be the only ones enjoying the view.” Gallus commented.

Yona kept screaming. “Waaaah! Yak not best at flying!”

“And appreciation for the value of laughter...” Twilight voiced again, but Yona who had closed her eyes in fear opened them and smiled at the view.

“Flying is best!” Yona yelled happily.

“Congratulations, Yona! You are officially the weirdest thing I've seen so far!” Silverstream joked.

“What do you say, Ocellus? Can you be weirder than a flying yak?” Smolder requested, to which Ocellus smiled and transformed into something huge that casted a shadow over the group.

They all looked on in awe and Sonic was beyond speechless. “Oh my Celestia that is awesome! It could compete with the national treasure!” The others gave him confused looks.

“Uh what national treasure exactly?” Smolder asked, to which Sonic smiled at her.

“Oh you see the planet I lived on for ten years, there’s this guy named Keanu Reeves and he is the nicest creature in all of the universe, and the best part is that he kicks flank in all sorts of movies!” The explanation caught them off guard but they smiled at him in response.

“Best part is that I’ve got some of those movies.” They all laughed and continued flying alongside the giant creature that Ocellus turned into.

“...and to always be honest in any situation.” Twilight finished as they walked through the same hallway.

“Honesty is imperative. Princess, are we going in circles?” Neighsay asked with suspicion.

“Uh, look at the time! We'd better head to the lake for Friends and Family Day. I'm sure all the students and faculty will be there.” Twilight spoke nervously with Starlight and Rainbow Dash feeling the same way, as they walked down another hall.



School of Friendship: Outside

All of the ponies were out and about having fun, students and parents had arrived and the Mane four organised it all.

They even had cake prepared for the occasion, Pinkie then pointed at the incoming creatures who were happy to be here, Spike was with them as well being the one to guide them.

Everything was going great Thorax and Seaspray were talking with one another, Rutherford laughed while Gruff angrily stared down a pony.

Spike and Ember clinked glasses of water and juice together smiling, suddenly the sound of buzzing became known and Ember was the first to react. “What is that?!” She yelled pointing behind Spike who also turned to look.

They turned around to see most of the group of students, but were mostly focused on the giant bug like creature in the sky that flew behind them.

This caused screams to fill the air and all of the ponies fled while everyone else stayed behind, Twilight, Starlight, Rainbow Dash and Neighsay saw the commotion and were confused.

But when Neighsay looked up to his right he saw the giant bug and he was scared. “Aah! The school is under attack!” He yelled hiding behind Twilight who was also panicking.

Gallus accidentally threw Sandbar down because of a pony flying in front of him which caused Sonic to fall off of him, Sandbar rolled into the other creatures causing both Rutherford and Seaspray to be knocked over, while Thorax spun around in circles before falling onto his side like a toy figure, Gruff fortunately didn’t get hit.

Silverstream and Smolder who were holding Yona nearly hit a Pegasus, causing them to fall down into the stand that had the cake causing it to fly and hit Gruff in the face.

Ocellus who was still a giant flying bug nearly fell onto Thorax before quickly darting to the side, only to crash into a tower causing it to break and fall down, Ocellus transformed back to normal  falling onto the ground.

The tower pieces fell down and landed hard onto the ground causing dust to rise, blocking everyone’s view. Thorax and Seaspray coughed from the dust while Rutherford was on his back, Gruff licked some of the cake actually enjoying it.

Twilight and Neighsay looked to the right and saw the group of students, Twilight was shocked but Neighsay was flabbergasted. “Uh, maybe skipping class wasn't the best idea?” Silverstream said nervously.

“How dare you! This act of aggression against ponies—!” Neighsay began but was interrupted.

“I-I'm so sorry, Chancellor. We clearly had some students get a little carried away.” Twilight spoke with authority but Neighsay couldn’t believe what he’d just heard.

“Those are students? But you said you were opening this school to protect Equestria! To defend ponies from... dangerous creatures who don't have our best interests at heart!” He growled while pointing at the other creatures.

Sonic who had been tucked into a ball was shocked at what he heard, racism against others because of things he mistook them for.

“My school teaches for all of us to work together through friendship.” Twilight explained calmly.

“And how do you know these creatureswon't take what they have learned here and use it against us?” Neighsay spat back.

“Friendship isn't just for ponies!” Twilight shot back.

“It should be.” Neighsay replied coldly not backing down.

Sonic who had uncurled was shocked. “Hey isn’t that going a little too far!?” He shouted to the Chancellor who was disgusted to see him.

“What is that thing?! Another one of your students?!” Neighsay demanded.

“Yes I am and you shouldn’t judge others based on bad history!” Sonic defended the other creatures.

“We’ve already dealt with enough of you wretched creatures and none of them should have ever come here it’s no wonder you’re out of control, you’ve had no family to guide you!” This made Sonic go wide eyed that was the worst thing anyone could have said to him.

He felt tears in his eyes well up and he hugged himself looking down at the ground. “Unicorn think yaks no need friendship? Maybe yaks no need pony school!” Rutherford yelled.

Neighsay frowned. “Well, perhaps you should return to your kind.” He pushed Rutherford back.

This made Ember angry. “"Your kind"?! Smolder, let's go!” She flew off and so Smolder followed suit.

“Queen Novo will want to hear of this!” Seaspray growled.

“Well, this place seemed lame anyways.” Gruff said without hesitation as the both of them walked away.

The other students followed as well with Thorax walking up to Ocellus. “It's fine. We know not every pony sees us the way you do. We're used to it.” Thorax sadly spoke as he and Ocellus flew away.

Twilight was angry with Neighsay and walked up to him with a frown on her face. “Princess Celestia helped me reach out to all the kingdoms! When she hears you closed the school because—!” But she was cut off again.

“Because you failed to meet the EEA's standards?” He accused pointing a hoof at her.

“What?!” Was all Twilight could say confused.

“Irresponsible teachers, students skipping class, endangering ponies! Your school is a disaster. Perhaps if you had had higher standards for who was admitted, this could have been avoided. Regardless...” He placed a hoof on his medallion causing his horn to glow yellow with magic.

He then shot a yellow beam at the school causing cyan chains to wrap around the building, which then manifested into a lock that became a part of the entrance.

Neighsay turned around to face the group. “By order of the EEA, I am shutting this school...” He stomped his hoof. “down!” He declared.

This made Twilight sadly gasp while the others looked on in worry, Sonic meanwhile was still affected by what the Chancellor had said to him prior, hugging himself the entire time.

Neighsay then left via his medallion through a portal and disappeared leaving them with their thoughts.

Twilight looked at the Hedgehog who was looking down, she along with her friends heard what Neighsay had said to him it was awful and just cruel.

“Sonic are you okay?” She asked nervously, which was met with silence the others felt the wind blow around them showing that they were the only ones around.

“I thought that if we followed the rulebook then we…” But Sonic quickly spun around and faced her with an annoyed face.

“That’s where I stop you Twilight.” This caught most of them off guard he had never said Twilight’s name before, meaning this was serious.

“You see all of that thinking going into one book, Y’know if you actually paid attention, then you would have noticed things weren’t so great and that everyone but yourself was miserable.” He grabbed the book from her wing holding it with an angry look.

“But considering you didn’t I just have to ask you one question?… how smart are you now?” This made them all go completely silent, as he threw the book onto the ground causing an echoing sound of a bang, making the group flinch from how loud it was.

He turned away walking a few steps before stopping once more, facing the group with his back turned to them. “But to be fair it’s not entirely your fault…” He faced straight ahead once more. “…It was also mine.” He whispered loud enough for them to hear.

And without another word he walked forward back towards the castle, arms dropped with his head hung low sniffling silently to himself.

Twilight who felt the most guilty, did the same walk with shame leaving only sigh as a response. The rest of the group watched in sadness as both of their friends entered the castle, allowing their thoughts to thrive and re-evaluate their whole situation.

Frowns staying strong across all of them with the wind whistling silently.

Sonic ran at incredible speeds through the town of Ponyville, passing by most of the residents who jumped in surprise of his sudden pass by. He also ran past the Mane Six before sliding to a stop and running back towards them.

Sonic ran with his fist forward as he then ran through the school hallways entering different rooms, it then showed Sonic and the Mane Six standing in front of the students who walked into the school.

The CMC high hoofed, as a figure opened their eyes with a glare, while Celestia looked at scroll worried, to which Sonic ran with determination before shrugging nervously.

Chancellor Neighsay looked furious, while Sonic jumped from nowhere and grabbed hold of Starlight’s hoof running with her, it then showed Cozy Glow who flew alongside the CMC.

Sonic then ran through the Castle of the Two Sisters, barley dodging a sword that was swung by a hidden figure.

Sonic was seen standing before he rushed off to the side. Sonic then jumped at something with his arms spread out. Sonic then ran really fast to where his legs had become wheels before blasting off down the train tracks.

Sonic was seen hanging out with Discord, to which it showed him dancing alongside the Young Six, then showing multiple moments of him fighting the mysterious figure. He then hugged Celestia and Luna at the same time who smiled.

Sonic dodged arrows by moving left and right, it then showed him playing guitar alongside Vinyl and Octavia, before showing him jumping off of a house.

Sonic did a midair flip, but then joined in with the Mane Six and all of the students within a picture that showed them all together.

Chapter 2: School Daze Pt 2



Castle of Friendship: Sonic’s Room

The Blue Hedgehog had been sitting on his bed for what felt like hours, he didn’t how long he was sitting there but all he knew was that this whole school idea fell apart, not just from the rulebook Twilight had followed and the EEA but also him.

He along with his brand new friends were the cause of the school getting closed down, to which he didn’t blame them for it, how were they supposed to know any better. He had been watching the Ponies from afar for awhile, and had secretly inter grated into its society recently with knowledge of what it was like.

Maybe he should go meet up with his mom and just stay with her for awhile, while also getting to know her a bit more. But these thoughts were interrupted by the sudden sound of knocking, but they weren’t coming from the door rather from above him.

He looked up at the window and saw the familiar face of a Hippogriff, it was Silverstream in flesh right above him smiling and waving down at him getting his attention.

With his full attention he quickly jumped up towards the window, and opened it standing on the small portion of roof the castle had, staring at the Hippogriff in disbelief. “Silverstream?! What are you doing here? Didn’t you get taken back to Seaquestria after what happened?” He asked with a curious brow.

The Hippogriff continued to smile at him. “Yes I did but just like the others, we didn’t want to stay apart so we all left and found a really cool place to stay!” She explained in a quick manner which Sonic managed to catch without problem.

“Woah that’s awesome! But why did you come to me?” He wondered pointing at himself.

“Because we want you to come as well, after all we were all involved in that fiasco at the school so there’s our reason!” Her explanation made Sonic smile slightly, but he then looked back down at his room thinking heavily weighing the options.

He could leave to run off with his new friends, but it would mean he’d leave behind his best friends and his mother. But on the other hand he could stay and feel miserable about what happened, which allowed him to make up his mind right then and there.

“Alrighty then I guess I’ll go.” He declared making Silverstream’s smile grow wider.



Castle of Friendship: Twilight’s Room

Meanwhile in another part of the castle the Princess of Friendship, was hiding underneath many pillows with Shame, Guilt and Sorrow.

She had messed up big time with this whole opening a school idea, if only she knew how the EEA would act towards other creatures she would have taken extra action to prevent a problem, she also thought back to what her friends said about Sonic and she felt a whole lot worse knowing he considered her his best friend.

Aside from his mom which was obvious for many reasons, and she had done very little to actually help him at all because she worried of what the EEA may think of him.

The music of her phonograph continued to play a sad tune showing her emotion, suddenly the door opened to reveal a familiar Lavender Dragon popping his head into the room. “Twilight? You feeling okay?” He asked her with concern only to receive a muffled groan in response.

He walked into the room turning off the phonograph, he then grabbed the first pillow in front of him only to see Twilight crying with a tissue box, a bunch of used crumbled up tissues and a small puddle of her tears.

She made another groan this time sounding incoherent, she then grabbed the pillow from Spike and placed it right back where it was sitting moments earlier, covering her face.

Spike sighed climbing onto the bed. “Look on the bright side. Sure, the EEA closed your friendship school. But now you've got time to do other stuff! It's like being on vacation!” He explained in optimism trying to cheer her up, he rested his arms behind his head feeling relaxed with a smile plastered on his face.

Only to get knocked off when Twilight rose up pushing the pillows off the bed, with a messy mane and eyes she looked down at her Dragon friend who face back up at her. “A failure vacation! I'm supposed to be the Princess of Friendship! And all I did was make enemies with Equestria's allies, upset my friends, and get my school...” Her eye twitched for a second. “...unaccredited! There is no bright side!” She exclaimed dramatically before flopping back down onto her bed, causing more pillows to fly off.

She then grabbed a tissue from the tissue box with her magic, blowing her nose loudly. Spike however had another plan, “Okay, then. I'm gonna need backup.” He smiled.

“Operation Cheer-Up is a go!” He called out towards the door, to which Rainbow Dash flew in opening the curtains of Twilight’s window allowing the sunlight to shine in.

Twilight however still looked miserable proving so by blocking said sunlight, with her wing. “Come on, Twilight! You can't sit around in the boring dark all day!” Rainbow exclaimed as the others came into the room.

“Exactly! What you need is a double dose of Granny Smith's apple mash.” Applejack grabbed the spoon from the jar, bringing it close to Twilight’s face who rolled her eyes in response before proceeding to block the sunlight again.

Applejack moved back disappointed, Fluttershy then walked on over next to her apple buckin’ friend. “Whenever I'm sad, a hug from Angel Bunny always makes me feel better.” She looked at her satchel seeing Angel Bunny pop his head out of said satchel.

He had a brow raised as Fluttershy pointed at Twilight, shrugging in response Angel hopped on over pulling Twilight’s wing away before hugging her face, unfortunately she didn’t react making him whimper with sadness seeming to have felt what she did.

Both Applejack and Fluttershy were taken aback. “Oh!” Fluttershy grabbed Angel placing him back into the satchel smiling sheepishly. “Uh... Maybe it's just me.”

Rarity then walked on over. “I find that nothing brightens my mood like a new ensemble!” She expressed lifting a dress from behind her placing onto Twilight, making her friend jump up standing on her hooves for once.

Twilight sighed sadly on the point of sobbing. “Thanks, Rarity. It's a great dress...” But she then broke. “for somepony who knows how to run a school!” She blew her nose into the dress with tears going down her face.

Rarity winced realising how bad this was but she wasn’t the only one, as Pinkie Zipped right over to Spike with a plate of cupcakes balanced on her head. “You didn't tell me this was a pity party! I would've brought ice cream!” She whispered loudly to him.

“I appreciate you trying to make me feel better, but not everything can be fixed with dresses and cupcakes.” Twilight admitted still depressed.

This made them all gasp while Pinkie just yelled. “What?!”

Twilight who now took off her new dress began making her way towards the door. “I just need some time to be alone and think.” This was followed by her closing the door behind her, leaving the group of friends in shock of what they’ve just witnessed.



School of Friendship: Front Entrance

Twilight who had now left her Castle ended up walking up to the entrance of her School, which had a giant lock on the door preventing access. She looked up at it in sadness as it resembled how much she failed to run her School, and how she failed to live up to her title. “Oh...” She muttered in sadness not realising that Sompony was behind her.

“I wondered how long you'd take to get tired of pillow-fort pouting.” Starlight spoke up catching Twilight off guard, she faced her friend but continued to not change how she felt.

“Everypony's already tried to cheer me up. It won't work.” Twilight stated with her head hung low, as if it was obvious.

Starlight however gave a short laugh. “I'm not gonna cheer you up. I'm gonna tell you what you did wrong.” This caught Twilight off guard again.

“What?!” She exclaimed. 

Starlight pointed her hoof at the Alicorn. “You gave up too easily.” This made Twilight feel offended with the face she made, but Starlight just shrugged it off. “Hey, you made me a guidance counselor. That means tough love.” Starlight pointed out placing her hoof onto Twilight’s chest.

But the latter placed her hoof onto the former’s pushing it down. “Neighsay was right. I failed. The school was a disaster.” She started to walk away again only for Starlight to run in front of her.

“So was I when you met me. But you showed me that when you know in your heart something is right, you stand up for it. You did that for me. Why not for this?” She questioned gesturing to the whole school.

Twilight seemed flabbergasted. “I can't go against the EEA! They're in charge of all the schools in Equestria!” She pointed out.

But Statlight was quick with her rebuttal. “And you're in charge of all the friendship in Equestria. Why should you let somepony else stop you from doing your job?” Twilight then pulled out the rulebook with her magic.

“But the EEA rulebook—” She was cut off when Starlight smacked it into the water, shocking Twilight further as she looked into said water seeing her reflection.

“Doesn't matter! You can write your own rules! Because you are doing something new. Something important!” Starlight declared, making Twilight ponder over what she had just been told.

The Alicorn for the first time since the school closed smiled at her friend. “You're right! Why we're doing this is way more important than how we're doing this! And we are doing this!” She exclaimed making Starlight satisfied.

“Now, that's the Twilight I know. How can I help?” She asked only for the Alicorn to walk up to her with a smile.

“You already have.” She hugged her friend as the latter did the same, both feeling happy about the situation.



Castle of Friendship: Cutie Map

The Mane five and Spike all sat at the table doing whatever entertained them, all seeming to be relaxed. That was until the door burst open catching their attention, to reveal Twilight standing proudly. “Guess what? The School of Friendship is back in business!” She declared raising her hoof up as Starlight peeked out from the side.

“What?!” Rainbow Dash yelled as the others all made their opinions known, although Pinkie tried to sound positive. “Do we still get to guess?”

“No offense, Twilight, but teaching at that school was the most boring, horrible, awful thing ever.” Rainbow stated in a quick manner.

Applejack faced her Pegasus friend with caution. “Uh, pretty sure she's gonna take offense to that.”

“No, Rainbow Dash is right. I owe you all an apology. I was so focused on doing things the EEA way, I didn't listen to any of you. I'm sorry. I promise, this time, we'll run the school the way friends should – together.” Twilight stated, to which they all became curious.

“So... we'd be allowed to teach however wewant to?” Rarity asked with a smile.

“No more scary pop quizzes?” Fluttershy vocalised.

“Confetti cannons for everycreature?” Pinkie questioned as a bunch of cannons for all of them popped up from nowhere, even from behind Starlight.

Twilight smiled with acceptance. “Whatever you need to teach the Elements of Harmony.” she stated.

This made Pinkie excited. “Yippeeeee!” The cannons went off causing confetti to fly everywhere.

They all hopped out of their chairs and walked up to Twilight with smiles. “Well, in that case, we're behind you one hundred percent, Twilight.” The moment was interrupted when Spike cleared his throat, getting their attention.

“Just three small problems. The school is still unaccredited...” He pointed out making Twilight’s eye twitch.

“...we don't have any students and we kinda need to cheer up a certain somepony.” He finished.

The others were all confused that was until Twilight realised what he meant. “Right well I can take care of the both the first and third part, if you five can round up our class.” Twilight explained.

Rainbow was the first to respond. “Totally! Uh... how?” 

“Roundin' up the pony students ain't gonna be an issue, but...” Applejack trailed off.

“The creatures from the other kingdoms seemed pretty upset with us.” Fluttershy reminded them, only for Rarity to step forward.

“Pfft! Nonsense! I'm certain we can win them over with our charm and style!” This made them all have satisfied smiles, as they were ready to begin their mission.



Yakyakistan

Outside of Equestria in Yakyakistan Prince Rutherford sat on his throne, with crossed hooves obviously angry. Suddenly Pinkie walked in with a delivery hat and a box full of cupcakes, “Cupcake-gram for Prince Rutherfoooord!” She singsonged loudly getting his attention.

“Why pink pony here? Yaks mad at ponies!” He reminded her, to which Pinkie came up beside him with a cupcake in hoof.

“Because...” She then shoved the cupcake into his mouth. “…you don't have to be mad anymore! We're reopening Twilight Sparkle's School of Friendship! And it's gonna be super-uper-duper better than before! We're—”



Dragon Lands

“—ever so sorry about the misunderstanding. All creatures are, of course, welcome.” Rarity continued speaking to Ember who looked upset as well.



Changeling Kingdom

Fluttershy stood in front of Thorax and some other Changelings. “We would be really happy if you sent your student back to class.”



Mount Aris

Applejack was also explaining what was happening to Seaspray and anther Hippogriff. “It won't be the same without 'em. We're open and ready to start teachin'—”



Griffonstone

“—right now! So, what are you waiting for? Get your student and let's go!” Rainbow finished explaining to Grandpa Gruff with excitement.

“Not happenin'!” He replied catching Rainbow off guard.

“Do you need me to do the whole apology and explanation thing again? Okay.” She groaned breathing in ready to say it again, only for Gruff to place his finger onto her mouth.

“Listen, missy! It's not happenin' because—”



All of the Kingdoms

“Our student is gone!” The leaders stated simultaneously, to which the Mane five replied all the same way.

“What?!”



Castle of Friendship: Sonic’s Room

Twilight walked into the room nervous about what was going to happen, he hasn’t even left his room once from what she can tell and he had been basically silent all throughout as well.

“Sonic? You awake? Listen I’m so sorry about what happened, and I just wanted what was best for everypo— I mean everyone and I’m just hoping if you would be happy to come back, and be able to be yourself?”

Her question got no response which made her confused, to which she walked closer to the bed before quickly realising, that a sudden breeze made its way into the room.

She looked up to see the window above her was open, letting her know what happened. “Oh no!” She whispered with worry before making her way out of the room.



Canterlot: Throne Room

“Where Yona?! This all pony's fault!” Rutherford yelled as he and the other creatures entered the throne room.

Ember however darted right next to him. “You're pretty quick to blame them! What are you hiding, yak?!” They both pushed against each other’s heads.

Thorax tapped her on the shoulder. “C-Can... Can we just focus on finding our lost students?” Only for Grandpa Gruff to raise his voice at the Changeling.

“Nice try! You grubs are probably hidin' the whole lot of 'em!” The arguing was interrupted by Celestia. “Please, everycreature! If you can just explain what happened...”

Seaspray waked forward. “The students left us notes before they disappeared. When the school closed, they didn't want to say goodbye to each other. They claim they ran away to stay together.” 

Twilight perked up at this. “I can't believe it! They did learn friendship!” Only to receive glares and frowns in return. “Sorry.” She whispered.

“The students couldn't have done this by themselves. Some creature is hiding them! If the niece of our queen is not found soon, I promise there will be retribution!” Seaspray exclaimed which caused the other creatures to get angry.

“Yeah? Well, my dragons will burn every kingdom until we find which of you is hiding Smolder!” Ember accused them.

“Tell it to the griffon army!” Gruff shot back, only for both him and Ember to be pushed back by Rutherford.

“Yaks fight griffons and dragons!” He declared.

Thorax was very scared on the other hand. “The Changeling Empire can't afford an international incident. If any creature blames the changelings for this—” Ember then zoomed up to him pointing her finger.

“What are you up to, shapeshifter?!” She demanded to know, which confused the Changeling very much.

“B-But we're friends!” He stammered.

“Wait a second!” They all turned their heads to Seaspray who flared heavily, “I believe I know who took the students!” This made the other creatures curious.

“It was that blue Hedgehog!” This made the Princesses gasp in unison silently.

“You mean that thing that was with them?!” Gruff asked with fury, only for the Hippogriff to nod in response.

The other creatures sans Thorax all grew angrier looks as they began arguing once more, Celestia leaned over to Twilight. “Find the students quickly, Twilight, or I fear our world will be at war!” She whispered loud enough for her student to start flying immediately.

Celestia frowned with fear over her face. ‘Please be careful my dear Sonic! And never stop running if you have to!’



Sugarcube Corner

The Mane seven and Spike all sat together after returning back from where they went to, and were now trying to assess their current predicament. “Okay. Let's review what we know.” Twilight announced.

“Smolder, Ocellus, Silverstream, Yona, Gallus and Sonic disappeared together.” Spike began, relaying the information pointing at the chart.

Twilight who held a parchment and quill gestured for him to go on, “That’s all we know.” He finished.

Applejack smiled. “They're probably just off hidin' somewhere.”

Starlight spoke up. “Unless they used some kind of spell to disappear.” She guessed.

“Ooh! Or went undercover!” Rainbow exclaimed with excitement.

“Maybe they were attacked by a ferocious shrimp! Nopony ever expects that!” Pinkie added making Fluttershy scared.

“Shrimps can attack?” Fluttershy asked desperately.

“Nope! That's why nopony expects it.” Pinkie reassured her, the door to the building chimed loudly making them all turn to see Sandbar walk in with a ticket.

He looked over at them and saw the chart, he immediately became nervous, smiling as he walked towards the counter.

He placed his ticket onto said counter as Pinkie zoomed up to him. “Hi, Sandbar! Are you having a party?” She asked while giving him lots of boxes filled with cupcakes.

“No! I'm just, um... really hungry? Yeah?” He replied incredibly nervous, Pinkie smiled at that as Sandbar made his way to the door.

“We need to think like our students. If someone told us we would never see each other again, what would we do?” Rarity asked her friends.

“Go someplace we could all hang out and eat lots and lots of cupcakes!” Pinkie answered already having let Sandbar out the door.

All became silent as they all stared at their happy friend, “What?” Pinkie asked confused.

“Sandbar was friends with all of the missing students... and he just got plenty of cupcakes.” Fluttershy inquired.

This got Applejack thinking. “Huh. He was at the farm this mornin' pickin' up a wagonload of apples...” She pointed out.

“And I saw him in a shop buying pillows and blankets!” Rarity added making Rainbow gasp in realisation.

“He must be taking all that stuff to the other students! We've gotta follow him!” She declared as they all tried to make it through the door, only to get stuck as Pinkie joined in for fun.

They eventually flew out and landed on the ground, dazed from what just happened while Twilight, Starlight and Spike all stared at them.



Castle of the Two Sisters

Deep into the Everfree Forest Gallus flew high in the air above the Abandoned Castle laughing, he flew down to where the others were hanging out. “Huh. This place is way cooler than I thought it'd be.”

Yona who had been running down some stairs, tripped on her hair and fell flat onto the floor. While Smolder held a helmet eating the gems that were a part of it, “Even I'm impressed. What's it called again, Ocellus?” She asked her friend who was reading some books.

“The Castle of the Two Sisters. I remembered it from class. Princess Twilight's "History of Pre-Equestrian Friendships".” Ocellus answered.

“Huh. Who knew? School was actually good for something.” Gallus remarked.

Sonic who sat on the stairs looked around the place with curiosity, “I don’t know why? But this place feels and looks familiar.” He gaped in wonder silently.

“Yona not really like school. But Yona like new friends!” She admitted hugging them tightly, however Smolder thought otherwise.

“Smolder... like breathing!” She gasped straining from the hug, Sonic gave her a goofy smile. “Well at least you get to have fun.”

“Hey, you guys! Sandbar's back!” Silverstream called to them, to which they began walking over to the door.

Sandbar walked with three wagons filled with supplies not noticing he hit a rock, that dropped an apple which was grabbed by a small hand.

Yona pushed the doors open. “Cupcakes are best cakes!” She yelled loudly before charging forward.

Sandbar yelled in fright as she was coming at a fast pace, but was thankfully stopped when Gallus made her trip on her hair again. Causing the young Yak to roll forward and stop right in front of the Earth Pony, who breathed a sigh of relief.

“Thanks for the assist, Gallus.” Sandbar thanked him, The Griffon scoffed in response.

“I was saving the cupcakes.” This was followed by Gallus and Yona chewing on an open box of cupcakes, which caused the frosting to go everywhere.

Ocellus flew past them seeing some pillows in a wagon, flying into them. “Pillows! How nice! The castle is gonna be so much more comfy.”

Smolder appeared from behind. “And fun! Pillow fight!” She grabbed a pillow and threw it at Sandbar, who proceeded to pick it up and play with Smolder who had one of her own.

Sonic who was excited grabbed one of his own and proceeded to hit both of them, causing a three way clash. Only for a shadow to appear above them, with loud buzzing which was Ocellus as a giant bear bug creature.

She landed on them causing making them to all laugh, that was until… “You guys!” They all turned to look towards Silverstream.

“I just found stairs!” She yelled in excitement, this made everyone stare at her with confusion. “Aaaand we care because...?” Gallus asked deadpanned.

“Stairs are awesome! We don't have anything like 'em underwater, 'cause you know, no way to climb 'em!” She explained while transforming into her Seapony form, making them all ‘Oh’ in response.

Silverstream then transformed back into her Hippogriff form. “This place has everything! If only my family back home could see it...” She said sadly only to receive an apple to the head which she ate happily.

“wish the other changelings could meet you all. You're not nearly as strange as the stories say.” Ocellus told them.

“Gee, thanks. But yeah, hanging out with other creatures is actually... not bad.” Smolder admitted.

“It’s more than not bad! It’s amazing, easy top five!” Sonic expressed with a smile making them all face him.

“So what else is in your top five exactly?” Gallus asked with confusion, making Sonic smirk at him.

“Well I haven’t exactly shown you guys yet but I do have to say that, we all have something unique about ourselves.” The others looked at each other nodding in agreement before facing Sonic again.

“Well for me it’s… too do this.” 


Without warning he darted off into the castle running through the halls, laughing as he felt so free with nothing holding him back.

He entered a hallway and proceeded to jump onto its walls, running on them never losing speed once. This continued when he entered back out into the main room, zooming past his group of friends who were in awe of what they were seeing unfold.

He even drifted around a corner entering into another hallway, this time activating traps that went off behind him which didn’t go unnoticed with his smirk growing wider.

He then came across a pillar that went up to a hole in the ceiling, to which he ran up it managing to reach its peak before flying upwards through the hole into the sky.

As soon as he reached the peak of his height he went into a relaxed position, with his hands behind his head smiling with satisfaction.

After a few seconds he fell right back down through the hole, managing to grip his feet to the pillar before dashing off once more back to his friends by the entrance skidding to a complete stop.

“So what’d you think of that?” He only received dropped jaws and wide eyes from the group, as they were processing everything they had just witnessed unfold. 

“Okay I think I broke them.” But after he said that, the group came out of their shock and stared at him before cheering.

“Oh my gosh that was amazing, the way you just went zoom, zoom and everything else like wow!” Silverstream blurted with excitement.

“You just went from weird to cool!” Gallus admitted.

“Friend even better friend!” Yona yelled hugging the blue Hedgehog tightly.

“Yona I… can’t… breathe!” He wheezed out causing the young Yak to place him down allowing him to catch his breath.

“How did you even do that?!” Smolder asked him to which he just chuckled.

“Just a natural habit of mine, been doing since I was very young and I haven’t stopped doing it now!” Suddenly the sound of movement came from a nearby bush, causing them all to turn their attention towards it.

Suddenly a brown hairy ball flew out and landed on the ground, revealing a creature of sorts this made them slowly walk forward with interest while Ocellus smiled.

“Uh, most other creatures. What is that thing?” Sandbar questioned.

Ocellus sighed. “Am I the only one who didn't sleep through Professor Fluttershy's "Critters of Comfort and Conflict" class?” She asked them receiving funny looks from the rest of the group, except Sonic who had a straight face.

“I didn’t exactly sleep, just forgot what happened.” He admitted making the Changeling roll her eyes with a smile.

“It's a Puckwudgie. Maybe I can make friends with it!” She transformed into a Puckwudgie, before standing high on her hind legs walking towards the former creature trying to communicate via noise.

Unfortunately this was not the right thing to do as the Puckwudgie growled, causing more of them to appear growling as well. Ocellus who had moved back to where she was standing, transformed back to her normal self with shock while the others were also doing the same. “Oops.” Was all she could say.

“Yak plan better.” Yona then made a battlecry charging forward towards the small group of creatures, only for them to fire their sharp needles at her.

She would of been hit had it not been for Silverstream, blocking said needles with one of the wagons they had with them. They both smiled at one another before the Puckwudgie jumped towards them, causing the both of them to run back to their friends as it fired again.

More Puckwudgies started to appear from all sides surrounding the group, who hid behind their blockade of wagons as the former creature turned their backs towards them ready to fire.

Smolder tried to throw a pillow at aggressive creatures only for it to get torn apart by the needles, and flop onto the ground. 

Smolder looked at their Changeling friend for help. “Think, Ocellus! Did Professor Fluttershy say anything about how to beat puckwudgies in her lecture?!” She asked desperately.

“Uh... I'm sorry, I can't remember!” Ocellus replied after thinking for a bit, Gallus was the next to speak.

“I'm gonna go ahead and guess it's not pillows, apples—” He lifted something into the air only to hear the piercing of the needles, he brought down what he was holding to reveal a cupcake filled with said needles. “ ...or cupcakes.”

“Wouldn't class have been about how to make friends with them?” Silverstream asked them receiving no answers.

“Uh, guys? They're getting really close...” Snadbar pointed out.

“Oh geez, you think!” Sonic retorted.

“Yona not scared! Yona have friends!” Yona stated placing her hoof forward, this was followed by the rest of them doing the same making a pile of hands, claws and hooves.

They then turned to face the army of Puckwudgies, only for three of them to jump towards the group making them look away, only for the sound of whooshing to be heard.

They all turned to see a rainbow trail stick the three creatures onto some trees, keeping them stuck revealing Rainbow Dash who had a smug smile before blasting off.

“Is that Professor Egghead?!” Gallus shockingly asked, which was followed by both Twilight and Starlight running in levitating the Puckwudgies away, before connecting their horns together blasting them away.

Spike ran up and headbutted one of them before running away, from three of them chasing him. Rarity held one with her magic and applied makeup to its face, while Applejack lassoed two Puckwudgies chasing Spike while the other one was grabbed by two birds, who flew up to Fluttershy. “Oh! Don't hurt them! Just ask them to leave nicely.” She told her birds while hugging the Puckwudgie.

Pinkie brought out a huge cannon aiming upwards, while Rainbow Dash placed a whole bunch of them into the barrel, to which Pinkie fired it causing them to fly off and slowly fall towards the ground with parachutes.

There was only one left that was trying to escape silently, only for Sonic to notice. He ran towards it and kicked it far away. “Have a nice landing!” He called to it before facing the Young Six.

Yona was the first to speak. “Not bad!” Before correcting herself. “For pony.”

Ocellus was next to comment. “Wow! They’re amazing!”

“I had no idea our teachers were actually cool.” Gallus said with disbelief.

“I’ve been trying to tell you!” Sandbar chimed.

“Did you see that?! Rainbow Dash was like voooooom and then werrrrr, and the puckwudgies went flying! And then the birds came and—!” Silverstream’s excitement was stopped by Smolder.

“Yeah, we all just lived it. But you're right. That was pretty amazing. Even by dragon standards.” She admitted.

Twilight, Starlight and Rainbow Dash scared the rest of the Puckwudgies off, before moving back towards the Young Six and Sonic.

“Is everycreature alright?” Twilight asked them while checking Yona for potential injuries.

The group of students all replied with agreement calming the Mane seven and Spike down. “You’re lucky we got here in time!” Spike panted.

“You know, this probably isn't the safest place for a campout.” Starlight pointed out to them, which made the Young Six all look upset. 

“Does that mean you're going to send us back to our homes?” Ocellus asked to which they pulled sad faces except Sonic, who had a question of his own.

“And does it mean I have to stay hidden… forever?” He then also pulled a sad face.

“Not exactly. We have another option in mind.” Twilight responded, this was followed by an awkward silence where they looked to see the smiles on all of their faces, causing much confusion for the group of students.

“We’re listening.” Gallus replied.

“It's pretty clear you've already started learning friendship without your teachers. But we'd like to show you even more... if you'd come back to school?” She requested.

“Not much of a choice.” Smolder deadpanned.

Applejack took off her hat and placed it onto her chest. “To be honest, we felt exactly the same way when Twilight told us she was reopening the school.” Much to the embarrassment of her former friend.

“But this time, we guarantee it shall be different.” Rarity promised.

“Oh, yeah! With class run my way, it'll be two hundred and twenty percent cooler.” Rainbow told them while stretching out her arms for effect.

Fluttershy was the next to speak while holding up the EEA Rulebook. “And without the EEA—” she threw it behind her not noticing it landed onto a Puckwudgie, “—it'll be much friendlier.”

“Plus, all your nations won't go to war and try to hurt Sonic if you come back with us! Bonus!” Pinkie smiled widely much to the shock of the group in front of them.

“Wait. What’s happening?” Sandbar questioned.

“Wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, they want to hurt me?” Sonic asked with a raised brow only to receive nods.

“Except Thorax but yeah, every other leader wants you found.” Twilight explained to the Hedgehog.

He then facepalmed. “Man my life sucks at times!”



School of Friendship: Front Entrance

The big group of Ponies and Creatures finally made it back to the School of Friendship, with no trouble at all seeming to be ready for what was ahead of them.

Twilight stepped forward igniting her horn ready to take down the lock, only for a voice to interrupt her focus. “Twilight! I was so relieved to get your letter!” Celestia applauded to her student.

Behind her were the other Creatures. “As was Queen Novo. Oh, we're just glad you're alright, Silverstream!”

Grandpa Gruff then suddenly zoomed up to Gallus pointing at him. “Don't expect a welcome party from me, sonny! It's time you got home!” He grabbed Gallus’s ear pulling hard on it, only to be slapped in the face by the latter forced to let go of him.

“I'm not leaving.” Gallus said flatly.

“Whaaaat?!” Gruff yelled.

“None of us are. Sorry, Thorax.” Ocellus apologised causing much confusion amongst the creatures.

“Yak not understand. This pony joke?” Rutherford questioned.

“No. We're going back to school.” Smolder argued only for Ember to fly forward.

“How? You can't even get inside!” This was met with chuckling that made everyone turn to face the blue Hedgehog who smirked.

“Listen ladies and gentle creatures, let the Mare do her magic.” He told them gesturing towards Twilight with his hand.

Twilight shot a powerful beam at the lock causing it to break into pieces, making the others smile. “School is back in session!” The Young six, Mane six and Sonic cheered loudly only to be interrupted by a sudden sound.

Twilight turned around to see a portal open, revealing Chancellor Neighsay who stepped out from it. He frowned as he picked up a piece of what was once his lock, falling apart in his hoof he looked up with anger. “Who dared remove my seal?” He demanded to know.

“I did, Chancellor Neighsay! And I respectfully ask you to step aside, or classes will start late.” Twilight answered with a frown of her own.

“Classes won't start at all! The EEA has spoken, and none shall pass!” He stomped his hoof onto the ground causing a shockwave.

“Yak pass if yak say! Hmph!” Yona tried to move forward only to be stopped by Sandbar.

“This is for the greater good. The school was disorganized, the teachers unqualified! And those dangerous and unpredictable "students" put ponies' lives in danger!” This ended up angering the five Leaders.

“I'll show you unpredictable!” Ember growled as they proceeded to walk forward only to be stopped by Celestia.

“Hold on, please! I'm sure Princess Twilight Sparkle has a good explanation for all of this.” Twilight nodded slightly.

“I do! It's true that my School of Friendship is EEA-unaccredited...” 

“Look! She said it without doing the eye thing!” He whispered to Rarity who smiled.

“Then it is not a school!” Neighsay growled.

“It's not an EEA school. It's a friendship school with its own rules. I should know. Iwrote the book!” She threw it in front of him, showing how big it was catching him off guard.

“These students reminded me that every friendship is special, so the way we teach it has to be just as unique. My school is going to do things differently.” Twilight stated.

“Allowing all of these creatures to attend your school, changing the rules for them – it simply won't work!” He spat.

“I seem to recall something about Earth ponies, unicorns, and Pegasi doing something similar, don't you?” Celestia smugly asked him.

“I promise you, Chancellor. My school will help protect Equestria.” Twilight promised.

“Or destroy it!” Neighsay seethed ready to make his exit only for a voice to stop him.

“So why exactly are you even acting like this?” All heads turned to Sonic who was confused.

“I mean you run lots of schools already, you have a sustainable life… are you seriously just a guy trying to be rid of creatures from schools just because of some bad history?! Is that really your whole thing?! Is that it?!” 

Neighsay was quick to reply. “That is a very gross oversimplification coming from a Creature like you!”

“I mean you came out of the gate with all of this philosophical bullcrap, about how Ponies should defend themselves and how other creatures are dangerous, you’re just a racist!”

“That’s not at all what I am!”

“You’re messed up in the head dude! You’re freaking bizarre!”

“I’m bizarre?!”

“You’re weir— you’re weird!”

“You’re—

“Dude you’re weird!”

“You’re literally an outworlder!”

“You’re weird! Go take the L dude!”

“Real mature!”

“Lalalala! Can’t hear you weirdo! Lalalala…”

“Y’know what I’m just going to leave!”

“Get out of here you loser!”

Neighsay then left through the portal even angrier than before.

“What a peculiar character.” Was all Sonic could say.

Everyone just looked on in shock of what just happened, even Grandpa Gruff who was normally just cranky.

Sonic turned to face them. “So… who’s ready to learn?” Everyone cheered in victory knowing that everything would be fine except for one Griffon.

“Hmph. How is this school going to be any different from last time?” Gruff scoffed, only for Twilight to wink at him.

“Ugh, fine! If you promise to stop singing, Smolder can stay!” Ember groaned, which Smolder cheered in victory.

“Uh, if dragon stay, yak stay.” Rutherford affirmed hugging Yona.

“I know you will make the changelings proud, Ocellus.” Thorax assured her caressing her head.

“You belong here. Now, can you show me those stair things you mentioned?” Silverstream with excitement pulled Seaspray away.

Gallus smiled only to see Grandpa Gruff flying away, with his mind not being changed.

“What? You belong at home! You think I care if you've made friends?” Gruff crossed his arms looking away stern.

“Please, Grandpa Gruff?” Gallus pleaded, to which Gruff looked and saw his puppy dog eyes which caught him off guard.

“Alright, alright! Stop doing that!” Gruff demanded, making Gallus smile in victory as he and the rest of the Young six ran into the school.

Starlight walked up to Twilight who stood by the door. “Guess I make a pretty good guidance counselor, huh?” She guessed.

“Yes! Writing the rulebook was the most fun ever! I can't wait to start working on the new lesson plans!” Twilight expressed with excitement before hearing Applejack clear her throat.

“...with some help from my friends.” She and the others proceeded to walk in ready to start their newest adventures.



School of Friendship: Front Entrance

As the Mane six all went inside, Sonic hung back to talk with a certain someone. “Hey mom.”

“Hello Sonic.” They both embraced for a second before letting go.

“I see you’re ready to take the next step in your journey.” Celestia noticed.

“Yeah. But I won’t be doing it on my own, as I’ll have my new friends and family to help me every step of the way.” He explained making Celestia smile proudly.

“I’m glad that you are home.” She embraced him once more this time for a bit longer.

“Me too mom… me too.”



Canterlot Castle: Garden

Meanwhile in the garden of Canterlot Castle a statue of a Pony started to crack all the way up the body, until a part of it fell off to reveal an eye that glared heavily then another part fell off to reveal a mouth.

Whoever this figure is, he’s ready to find his target…“Hedgehog.” He whispered.

School of Friendship

It had been a few days since the School of Friendship was reopened, and all seemed to be going well. Aside from one incident involving Pinkie and her Sister that happened, which involved the latter finding a Stallion she loved even if she was sounded completely bored.

But after that happened everything went smooth sailing from there, until about a day ago when Pinkie remembered that she had yet to have thrown a party for their Hedgehog friend, and from what she could tell from all of the information she had learnt about him, it turns out he has never been thrown a party at all in his sixteen years of being alive.

With all of this in mind she began planning, preparing and inviting the entire school for this one party. Although she didn’t invite all of Ponyville with a few exceptions, she wasn’t dumb in knowing that Sonic had to slowly introduce himself to the townsfolk, to hopefully prevent a panic and a potential exposure to all of Equestria.

Now that she was prepared, everything had to now play out as she and everyone else hid away in a dark room waiting for his arrival.



School of Friendship: Front Entrance

Sonic who had been told to meet at the School’s entrance by late afternoon was confused, he didn’t exactly know why he was told to do so but went along with anyway since Pinkie told him it was something special.

Once arriving at the entrance he looked up at the door with awe once more, always seeming to be floored anytime he saw something that peaked his interest. “I still can’t believe they managed to pull this off!” He whispered to himself.

After a few more moments he faced forward once more before walking up to the doors, knocking on it with firm strength while not going all out with it.

This was soon followed by the bright pink Mare opening the entrance slightly, peeking her head around the corner looking at the Hedgehog with a cherry smile that showed innocence. “Heya Sonic! You ready to come in!” She asked with excitement with a nod from the former answering her question.

“Alright come on in!” She disappeared behind the door into the black abyss that was inside, Sonic pushed the door open walking inside getting slightly fearful from how quiet it was.

He ended up closing the door behind him taking slow steps, as if he was tiptoeing through his home at night when everyone else would be asleep.

He came to a stop after a few more moments only being able to hear his own breathing, until the lights came on revealing all the teachers and students standing around him, all yelling one word in unison. “SURPRISE!!!” 

This made him jump a little bit, but that quickly stopped when he smiled widely. “Now this is what I call a surprise! Wait a second is this for me?” His question was met with Pinkie Pie zooming up to him.

“Yes it is buddy! And we’re gonna give you so much fun!” Sonic nodded, looking at everyone around he pumped his fist into the air. “What are we waiting for?!” This was met with the cheers of the crowd, as they all began to have fun.



School of Friendship: Lobby

The music blared loudly as many dance around, some were talking with others and some were just running around with pure joy. Sonic meanwhile was having a great time, playing all of the games that were there, interacting with a few fellow students and even eating some cake which he loved very much.

But the music was something Sonic wanted to spice up, give a little more fun vibe. So without anyone noticing, he quickly left the School before returning back to his position with a record in hand.

He walked up to Earth Pony known as DJ Pon-3 who was operating her DJ stand, the Hedgehog came up to her tapping the shoulder of the former getting her attention.

She looked to see Sonic holding up a disc of sorts with the title of it being known as Saturday Night Fever. Dj Pon-3 smiled with a nod taking hold of the record, before placing it down onto her setup.

A song then played…


The sudden music caught them all off guard but the sound of clapping became audible, as Sonic walked out onto the dance floor… that only exists  for this one chapter.

Many watched in curiosity of him walking out doing something unexpected, Pinkie gasped seeing this new discovery that their Hedgehog friend was going to dance with talent.

His clapping was followed by more clapping as the lyrics had yet to start, but when the first words happened Sonic began to dance.

He started by taking a few steps backwards, which was changed to him walking forward with style, he then spun around a few times clapping after each spin.

He then placed his hands on his hips before shifting from side to side, he then pointed out his index finger placing it down on his hip before moving it back up to the air, doing five times in a row.

He then rolled his arms in front of him before swinging them side to side behind him, he then began to repeat it all over again. But when he did those who were close by joined in on the fun, more specifically Pinkie Pie who got up on her hind hooves, standing next to Sonic on his left following along.

They both gave each other smiles not once faltering, eventually the rest of the party joined in on the fun some staying on their hooves while others stood on their hind hooves/feet.

Even Twilight who was bad at dancing followed along, seeming to have an easier time doing so as she followed what everyone else was doing.

Not once did it slow down everyone was swept up by the music, which kept blaring loudly entering all ears within the school.

Sonic eventually decided to add something new by placing his hand onto the floor, he began to spin around quickly switching hands. His legs moved rapidly as some took a step back to avoid getting hit, he got closer to the ground until eventually he raised himself up into the air spinning on one hand, finishing by stretching his right leg up into the air holding the tip with his right hand.

Many cheers erupted from the crowd as the song stopped, Sonic got back to his feet smiling at them bowing in quick succession. “Thank you! Thank you! I’m here every Tuesday ready to dance some more!”

With that said the music changed to a much more quiet piece, making everyone calm down to which Sonic took the opportunity to sit off to the side with a fresh cup of fruit punch.

After a few minutes everything had settled down allowing peace to be restored, that was when Twilight walked over to the Hedgehog’s side smiling at him. “Hey Sonic.”

“Heya “Bookmaster!” How’s it going?” He asked her with a goofy look, getting a chuckle from her.

“Alright but I… uh wanted to talk to you in private right here right now.” She requested making the former nod. “Sure we’ve got time to do so, plus this conversation won’t be heard by anyone else within a foot’s distance of us, so go ahead talk away!”

She smiled at him which turned into a frown. “Well I just wanted to apologise with what happened a few days ago, when we opened the school and how I forced you to hide your identity from everyone else!” This made the Hedgehog look at her with sympathy as she looked down at the ground, only to feel her head move up to see the face of the former who had finger under her chin.

“Hey don’t worry, if anything I should be the one saying sorry! After all I said something that insulted your intelligence!” But Twilight’s face didn’t change immediately.

“But you were in the right to say that, I pushed you and our friends away just because of some stupid, piece of—“ Sonic then covered her mouth with his hand preventing her from finishing.

“Okay that’s enough of that attitude! Look I get it you feel responsible for what happened on that day, but I was also responsible with the damage that was caused but look at us now, we fixed up the school, we have awesome happy Teachers, Great Students of all sorts and a Headmare who does what she can to help those in need!” He explained.

He slowly took his hand off her mouth showing a shocked face that stared at him. “It’s okay, we’re all here right now partying inside of the very thing that you managed to accomplish, with the help of those closest to you! And if you can do that, then nothing can ever bring you down!”

Twilight felt mesmerised with what he said to her, he was usually jokey and non-serious but here right now he was giving a bigger insight on life to her very face, making a smile grow across it. “I’m not even going to ask how you managed to think of that, but all I can say is that you should keep doing it whenever possible.”

“Sure! But just know that this doesn’t change how I’m going to act around you guys.” He reassured, getting a giggle from her.

“Oh my god you can be adorable at times!” He teased, causing the inside of Twilight undo a chain that locked up something deep inside of her.

She however didn’t realise that she had zoned out  with what had just happened. “Hey you alright?” Sonic asked placing a hand on her shoulder, making her shake her head quickly realising he spoke. “What? Oh yeah, yeah, I’m fine just thought about something!”

He continued to smile. “Well if that’s the case then let’s continue to have fun with the night while it lasts.”

After receiving a nod from the latter, they both proceeded to join the rest of their friends to have as much fun as possible before they all had to go to sleep.

But adventures still awaited them with some potentially, being just right around the corner.

Castle of Friendship: Sonic’s Room

After the crazy party that happened the night prior everyone had gone to sleep, and I’m already boring you with that generic explanation.

Anyway Sonic was resting on his bed, looking like he had drank too much apple cider. But he then woke up suddenly holding a hand to his forehead,  wincing from the sudden pain that throbbed wildly. “Next time ‘Cowgirl’ should warn me with how strong Cider can be, and maybe Pinkie should choose to not have as much Berry Punch juice.”

He hopped out of the covers placing his feet onto the floor, walking slowly towards the door keeping his hand where it’s placed. 

Just as he reached for his door he suddenly felt like he fell through the floor, which caused everything for him to go dark.

Darkness was all that Sonic could see at the moment, he tried remembering what had happened prior but nothing came to mind. 

Slowly but surely he opened his eyes to reveal a purple like space area, with tons of pieces of land floating. Some with natural environments like water that was pouring into the endless abyss below, or lava that fell into a pool of sorts that streamed off the edge.

But what stood out to Sonic the most was the house that sat by itself, on top of a floating island that looked normal with its grass terrain.


After a few moments the Hedgehog looked down at himself to realise he was floating as well, he was weirded out at first but realised that this seemed pretty normal compared to most things.

Only now did he notice the throbbing pain in his head was gone, seeming to have never existed in the first place which caused relief on his part, he then did the most responsible thing to do in this situation. “Hello?”

Unfortunately he got no answer much to his disappointment, he looked back up to the house thinking about how he could possibly get help from whoever lived in there, sure it wasn’t conventional nor a smart move to make but it was better than not knowing how to get out of here.

Within a few seconds of gaining control he floated down to the closest piece of land, gaining normal gravity in the process. Without too much hesitation he boosted towards the front door, stopping right in front of it.

Then after a moment of thinking he knocked on the wooden door, waiting for someone to open it but he received no answer as it just stood dormant.

He then knocked again this time with a bit more force, loud enough to be heard by someone at least. But once again no one showed up to answer him, with frustration he gave one more attempt at knocking on the door this time it was really loud, as it echoed throughout the purple space that surrounded him and everything that existed here.

Finally having enough he snorted steam out of his nose walking backwards away from the door, stopping at the beginning of the path that lead to it. He placed his hands onto the ground getting ready to charge forward, “Alright I’m gonna bust that door down right of the hinges, alright it’s nothing here we go!”

With his target locked he ran for it not stopping to think about what he was doing, he then curled into a ball flinging himself towards the obstacle in front of him.

This resulted in him crashing through it knocking it down onto the floor, resulting in a loud bang which and small dust to form. Which then revealed Sonic laying face down on the door, which lifted to see his surroundings but this was interrupted with a certain figure appearing. “Congratulations my friend you’ve earned your reward! That being breaking and entering my house successfully with no consequence for your actions!”

Sonic looked up above him to see being who was made of different creatures, that everyone knows by now considering they tell you in every story that introduces him.

“Gee a bit rude much narrator, after all it’s not like you are alone and just do these stories for the sake of trying to be noticed.”

Wow Discord that would’ve of affected me years ago, but now I’m dead inside so shut up. “Eh whatever.”

Sonic now processing what he saw in front of him, just continued to stare with confusion, as he remembered being told about a certain creature who looked like this.

“Don’t just stay on the floor young child, I’m not going to bite!” With that said Sonic stood up quickly still wondering who was in front of him.

“Um who are you again?” He asked stupidity which received a chuckle from latter.

“Oh please, Tia seriously hasn’t told you about me yet?” He continued to chuckle waiting for a response, but he was met with silence from the Hedgehog who continued to stare at him, but he wasn’t nearly as confused.

“Seriously?” He facepalmed. “First they don’t put me in the Movie, then they waste my character away with no future development and I come up with an idiotic plan…”

“What movie? Star Wars, Matrix, Indiana Jones…” Sonic responded making the creature face him.

“Wait you know about those movies?” Sonic nodded to his question.

“Okay I might as well introduce myself.” He changed into a tuxedo, with a top hat and red bow tie.

“Discord the Lord of Chaos, at your service!” A silver tray appeared in his hand before he threw it behind him causing a crash noise.

Sonic just stared at him but decided to play along. “Sonic the Hedgehog, a little ball of super energy, in an extremely handsome package!” He caressed his head touching his quills.

Discord laughed. “Oh my now I remember who you are, oh I really wish I could’ve hung out with you but being corrupted ended that plan!”

Sonic’s ears perked at that. “What do you mean corrupted?”

The Draconequus flinched slightly suddenly having memories come to mind. “It’s something I wasn’t proud of back then, but I don’t like to show it to those who don’t seem to trust me.”

“If it’s that bad I won’t delve further into it, after all why should I when I have the only person who has any knowledge that I have.” Sonic reassured making the Draconequus smile.

“I see why I’m liking you already, being one for adventure and excitement. Having a chaotic amount of knowledge that no other creature has, and a actual arc to fulfil.” This confused the Hedgehog.

“What do you mean an arc?” This made the Draconequus chuckle.

“You’ll find out soon enough young Hedgehog, but that is for you to figure out and accomplish. I cannot do anything to help you, it’s just how it all works… and I’m acting out of character to give you wisdom, what is wrong with me?”

Sonic flashed a grin towards him. “Maybe you’re developing as an individual yourself, cause from what I’ve heard you were way different before now.”

Discord seemed to have been caught off guard, by the response he got. This Hedgehog of another world, a Hedgehog who was the son of Tia was something Discord didn’t foresee coming, and it was spelled out in one word… Unpredictable.

He had no idea how it was possible, but it was true this mysterious Hedgehog who he has known for a short amount of time, throughout his whole lifetime was impossible to know how powerful, meaningful and impactful he was to Equestria.

But all Discord knew was that the Blue Blur was in for one big ride of life achievements, he even sensed a romantic future with someone that was unknown to him because of how deep it was.

With all of that in mind he gave the Hedgehog a smile of what seemed to be confidence, pride and even respect. “Well played Hedgehog.”

With that said he opened up a portal that led back to Sonic’s room. “Know that we’ll meet again and that it’ll be fun.” He smirked.

Sonic who had already taken step towards the portal that was behind him, smirked back towards the Lord of Chaos with respect as well. “I promise I won’t make it dull.” He then walked through making it back to his room, leaving Discord alone as the portal closed.

He sat down in his chair thinking about how the Hedgehog he had just interacted with, was able to make him feel change and actually come to terms with the fact that maybe he could fully embrace becoming reformed. ‘I’m really losing my edge of being sarcastic, maybe I should pull a prank on Tia to forget about this feeling.’



Castle of Friendship: Sonic’s Room

Sonic had stepped back into his room seeing the portal close behind him, he took into account of Discord’s words of having an arc. “I should probably tell mom about this, but then again now remembering who Discord was I don’t think she would take it too lightly.”

He pondered a bit more on his thoughts wondering whether he should tell his mom or not, but he then dismissed it. “Nah I think I’ll keep it a secret for now.”

With that said he made his way out of the room, into the halls to go find something to do, but all he did know was that today started off interesting to say the least.

Who knows what other scenarios he would run into.

School of Friendship: Entrance

“Okay they all left.” Sonic concluded as he saw a note on the Friendship School front door, saying how Twilight and her friends went to Manehattan for a quick trip.

“Welp I’m stuck here with nothing to do for awhile, so i might as well just do what I used to do… watch everypony while being hidden!” He exclaimed holding a finger up in the air.

With that said he ran off in the direction of Sugarcube Corner, passing by many Ponies who were caught off guard by the sudden wind.

He then ran by the dessert shop, making his way to where the Ponyville Schoolhouse was hiding in a bush. He then pulled out binoculars from nowhere, before using them to scan the town but unfortunately he got bored pretty quick.

“Well this sucks.” But suddenly out of nowhere something ran into him, causing His entire body to fly out of the bush along with whatever hit him.

He flopped onto the ground, laying on his back feeling the fur of three individuals. He opened his eyes to see a yellow Earth Pony with a red mane and pink bow, a white Unicorn with a pink and lilac mane and a orange Pegasus with Purple mane.

But to his surprise the three of them were fillies… well not really he kind of already figured that out, but you know what I mean.

Anyway the three Fillies opened their eyes staring right into Sonic’s, both parties didn’t make any sudden movements or noise, just blinking at each other for a few moments. But eventually the Fillies hopped off him staring with wide eyes, while Sonic sat up looking back at them but he was more normal.

“Did you three crash into me?” He asked dumbly, making them tense up.

None of them said anything for a few seconds, before the Earth Pony finally did so. “Yeah we did, we’re so sorry!”

Then the Unicorn spoke up next. “We were just having fun by running through any bushes we came across, but didn’t realise there was somepony in there!”

Finally the Pegasus talked. “We promise we didn’t mean it!”

Sonic who had listened just continued to stare before chuckling, then full on laughing causing confusion amongst the three fillies. “Hey cheer up, look at me I’m fine just a little surprised that you ended up running into me, but it didn’t hurt.”

They then looked surprised, as if they had just witnessed a major event. “Wait you’re really ain’t upset?”

“No… why would I be?” Sonic asked with curiosity.

“It’s because everytime we do something like dat, we end up making Ponies angry or annoyed.” Sonic had sympathy go through his face for the three of them.

“But you’re just kids, it’s just something normal for you to do.” The Unicorn nodded in agreement.

“Well most don’t see it that way.” They all hung their heads to which Sonic had his sympathy grow even more.

Then suddenly he had an idea to cheer them up. “Hey Y’know what? Why don’t I hang out with you three for today, how does that sound?”

The three Fillies immediately lit up with bright smiles and big eyes. ‘Oh my Celestia, they are so adorable I think I’m gonna die!’

Sonic just stood there with a goofy grin, waiting to see what would happen. “So where are we gonna go first?” He asked, but as soon as he finished saying it he was immediately grabbed by the trio and dragged across the floor.

“Holy Crap!” Was all he could say as they continued forward down the path.



CMC Clubhouse

After being dragged all the way from the Schoolhouse, Sonic was finally able to sit up inside of the wooden like room he was in and overall he was stunned by what he saw, it was definitely something that was built out of a kid’s imagination multiplied by three.

The three Fillies looked at him excited. “So what do ya think?” The Earth Pony asked him, to which he finally spoke after processing what’s happened in the past few minutes.

“Okay first off I have to ask… How are you three that strong?!” That made them flinch but Sonic changed immediately to a much more calm tone. “Second did you three make this place? Cause it’s really cool.” He asked in wonder.

“It was once owned by mah Sister Applejack, but she later gave it to us and ever since then, we’ve been having so much fun!” Sonic smiled at that.

“Nice to finally be meeting the Sister of ’Cowgirl’ but can you tell me your names please?” He requested to which they smiled once more.

“Ahm Applebloom!”

“I’m Sweetiebelle!”

“And I’m Scootaloo!”

They then breathed in unison. “And we are the… CUTIE MARK CRUSADERS YAY!!!”

Sonic had to cover his ears for how loud they were, but once they stopped yelling he took his hands of his ears smiling at the trio. “Aside from that loud introduction, those are really nice names.”

They smiled back at him to which Sweetiebelle walked up to him. “What’s your name?” He gave a grin as he pointed a thumb at himself.

“Sonic, my name is Sonic.” They all liked the anwser until Applebloom gasped at something.

“Ya don’t have a cutie mark!” This confused Sonic because he knew he couldn’t get one at all, after all he is a different species.

“Um I’m pretty sure I don’t get one at all.” The three of them looked shocked but then snapped out of it.

“That does make sense.” Sweetiebelle stated making Scootaloo roll her eyes.

“Welp since I’ve basically been kidnapped or foalnapped by three Fillies, might as well spend the time with them.” Sonic spoke with a chuckle making the three of them look at him surprised.

“Really? Ya mean it?!” Applebloom asked for clarification.

Sonic nodded. “Absolutely! After all, the others are gone for a while to Manehatten so I might as well spend some time having fun!”

The trio of Fillies jumped up and down excitedly, going around Sonic in circles which made him chuckle at how adorable it was.

He finally stood up although being taller than the Three Ponies, it didn’t scare them all too much. “So what’s first?” He asked to which they grinned towards each other all too familiar looks.



Top of a Hill

“Are you girls sure this is safe?” Sonic asked with worry as he was in a cart on top of a hill, but the CMC just smiled.

“Don’t worry! We’ve done all kinds of crazy things before, which got us into trouble but it was worth it!” Scootaloo exclaimed making the Hedgehog more nervous.

“Okay then, I’ll trust yo—“ He couldn’t finish as the cart was pushed down the hill, as the CMC hopped in with him.

“Next stop the Clubhouse!” Sweetiebelle called out.

“You mean next stop Ohio!” Sonic added which went unnoticed.

The cart got faster as they kept going downhill, not once stopping. They then stopped going down the hill, traveling across the straight path that led to the Clubhouse. “Look we’ll be fine!” Applebloom spoke up gesturing to the group.

Sonic was still nervous. “Yeah but we could potentially hit a tree!” They then crashed into something as they all flew forwards, crashing onto the ground with Sonic laying on his back with Sweetiebelle on top of him, and Applebloom and Scootaloo on either side of Sonic.

“Told ya.” Sonic commented opening his eyes to see Sweetiebelle on top of him, she felt soft and look cute.

She opened her eyes staring right back into his for a few seconds before hopping off of him. “Sorry!” She blushed in embarrassment.

Sonic waved his hand. “Eh don’t worry about it! Besides we’re fine at least, and I was right we crashed into a tree!”

Both Applebloom and Scootaloo who finally got up looked towards where Sonic was looking, and saw that he was in fact right and that the cart had indeed crashed into a tree like he predicted. “I think I should be called the prediction master!” He commented.

“Well there goes that plan! What else are we gonna do to have fun?” Scootaloo asked largely bummed out.

Sonic placed a finger to his chin thinking about what else they could do, which led to him coming to a conclusion.

“I’ve got an idea.” He told them causing their eyes to lock onto him.

“What is it?” Applebloom asked.

Sonic just continued smiling at them with excitement, knowing that this’ll keep them from being bored.



Castle of Friendship

The Mane six had returned from Manehatten not too long ago and they were all exhausted, but one thing was for sure that Applebloom, Sweetiebelle and Scootaloo had disappeared.

“Do ya think they’re here?” Applejack asked Twilight who responded to her friend.

“Probably, after all they do come here from time to time for a bit of fun… and mischief, but it’s all fun and games at the end of the day.” This made Applejack smile.

“I just hope that Sweetiebelle didn’t get too reckless.” Rarity spoke up making the group nod.

“I’m sure they’re fine! Besides they’ve done so many crazy things before, that this all normal for me.” Rainbow Dahs added.

They all then came up to Sonic’s room with Twilight knocking on the door lightly. “Sonic are you in there? We’re just wondering if you saw where the CMC went today?”

There was no answer that came from the other side, but she discovered that the door was open slightly. Pushing it open lightly she walked in with her horn lit, and came across something she never thought she’d see.

Sleeping on the bed was Sonic who was on his back, Scootaloo and Applebloom were under his arms curled up snuggling against his body, and finally Sweetiebelle who was asleep on top of Sonic.

The Mane six all gasped silently in surprise but fell  into awe as it was too cute. “Let’s just leave them be, they must’ve had a fun day to have fallen asleep like that.” Fluttershy suggested to which they all agreed.

They turned to leave but not after Twilight looked back into the room smiling and saying one last thing. “Good Night.” She then closed the door and left.

School of Friendship: Entrance

The afternoon had arrived as school ended for the day, Sonic had walked out of the front doors stretching his arms out. “Glad that’s over, now I can have more time to catch up on those comics Spike gave me to read!”

But he then heard the sound of nearby bustling, coming from the left side of the Castle of Friendship. This intrigued him as he hasn’t heard anything coming from there before, but his curiosity took him over as he sped across towards the mysterious sound.

He came to a halt, slowly making his way around the outer edges of the Castle, that stood tall next to him.

He then stopped as he finally saw where the noise had come from, it turned out to be a big wagon that sat there seemingly parked with its bright colours shining brightly.

“Whoever owns this must really be dedicated to their style.” Sonic noted progressing his advance once more, but much slower than before to the point you could hear a pin drop.

He climbed up the steps that led to a door, and without warning he knocked on it with his left hand, to which a muffled voice responded to the former sound. “Not now Starlight, Trixie has to clean up at this moment!”

Sonic was a little surprised to find the owner home, which he decided to respond. “Uh… It’s the pizza man, just wanted you pay for your order!”

Hoofsteps reached the other side of the door, which then opened inwards revealing a blue Unicorn, with a light blue mane and purple eyes standing there looking surprised at the Hedgehog who was standing there.

“Trixie didn’t expect anypony to come here, other than Starlight. But you are different, what brought you to my wagon?” The question made Sonic smirk.

“I just heard noise coming from over here, and I was just curious as to what it could’ve been.” He answered honestly with the Unicorn raising a brow.

“You seem to be weirder than anything Trixie’s ever seen.” This made Sonic come to a realisation he wasn’t happy about.

“You talk in the third person don’t you.”

“Yep!”

“Dang it!” He facepalmed at the answer knowing this was gonna be a doozy.

“Trixie would like to invite you in, if you don’t mind?” She requested with a smirk of her own.

Sonic looked around him for a moment before shrugging. “Wouldn’t hurt to do so for a little bit.” Then without warning he was pulled into the wagon, as the door closed quickly behind him leaving an abrupt silence.



Trixie’s Wagon

“Ok I gotta stop getting pulled by random Ponies.” Sonic spoke sarcastically staring at… me, for god sake does everyone know I exist in this universe.

Anyway back to the chapter, Trixie sat opposite of the Hedgehog with a cup of tea floating in front of her face, while Sonic held one of his own awkwardly as they just stared in silence.

“So… you do anything for a living?” Sonic asked the Mare, breaking the abrupt silence. She smiled at him, with obvious pride being shown on display.

“Why yes. The Great and powerful Trixie is a magician, who runs magic shows across Equestria to not only entertain, but to earn profit to pay out rent!” Her explanation was met with a straight face from the Hedgehog.

“Okay, guess it’s only fair I introduce myself as well. My names Sonic, i’m a Hedgehog, I love to run and I currently go to school like every other teenager!” The Unicorn stared back incredulously.

“Hey Trixie’s supposed to be the one, who speaks in the third pony!” She complained.

“Jeez, didn’t expect us to be playing the who’s superior game!” Sonic quipped making the Unicorn Magician grit her teeth.

“You don’t want to make me angry!” Trixie warned but Sonic got excited.

“Hey you spoke without saying your name!” This angered her more.

A bead of sweat appeared on the side of Sonic’s head, as he became more nervous about how the situation would unfold. “Okay, okay we should move on to something else! Like how about the most stupid thing we ever did!”

Trixie then grew a sudden look of sadness, as she remembered about a certain event that happened not too long ago. “It wasn’t exactly stupid, more or less Trixie being rude and selfish.”

The tone caught Sonic off guard. “What do you mean? What happened exactly?” He asked to which she hesitated but finally caved in.

“I ended up making my one and only real friend at the time, believe she couldn’t make me friends because I wanted to beat an old rival of mine at something for once. But all it did was prove that I never did change, and ever since that day I don’t believe I ever could correct those actions.” She sighed in defeat with tears brimming her eyes.

But Sonic wasn’t going to let her feel like a failure. “Hey remember the Friendship Festival, that happened not too long ago?” He asked making Trixie perk her head up, as she nods slowly.

“Well the night before it happened, I kinda caused lightning to come out of my butt which resulted in a giant explosion that somehow had the Storm King come to us. And even after going on the whole adventure, making it out alive happily I still feel the guilt of what happened that night which I know will never truly go away, but what I do know is that I can learn from that mistake and improve after all I’m still questioning how you Ponies have bowling.” The last comment made Trixie chuckle.

“Look I may not know what you’ve been through, but I promise when I say you can improve if you try and not think about the past.” 

Trixie didn’t know what to say but one thing came to mind. “Are you always like this with life lessons?”

“No. Just because I give some good advice does not mean I’ll always be like this, besides I guarantee you I’ll be cocky and confident way after this.”

…

“So I’ll just go now.” 

“Yeah, you do that.”

With that said Sonic left the Wagon with a straight face, noticing how the moon and stars were out already. “Alright I’m going to bed!” And so he ran towards the castle doors, opened them and closed them after he went inside.

Today’s interaction was a success in his eyes.

School of Friendship: Guidance Counsellor Office

Today was very much a quiet one, to say the least, it had been busy a few times but otherwise, it was pretty lacking in terms of actual activity.

Starlight sat in her chair bored with a hoof to her chin, as she just patiently waited for something, anything to happen to pique her interest. Cause the best part about this position, was the fact she could interact with many new faces from all sorts of places.

Heh, I’m freaking good at this rhyming…

But she has yet to interact with her new roommate, who she knew from the Festival when The Storm King’s reign came to an end. It was the Blue Hedgehog who took him down, alongside the help of her friends but even after that whole fiasco ended she still hadn’t had one full conversation with him.

It was like she felt awkward around him, he had this weird aura that greatly concerned her because of how strong it was, and it made her want to keep her distance from him.

This feeling was making her frown, all because of him just making her want to break. These thoughts however were broken, by the sound of knocking on the door. ‘Finally!’ she thought to herself.

Who was it going to be? Maybe Gallus, Smolder even Ocellus? But much to her dismay and disappointment it was neither of them, it was Sonic the one she didn’t want to see at the moment.

“Hey “Glim Glim!” How’s it going?” He exclaimed with a burst of excitement, making Starlight’s eye twitch.

“Oh… Y’know the u-usual Guidance Counsellor work, just living the dream!” She answered awkwardly, but the Hedgehog didn’t take notice.

“Do you mind if I take a seat?” She thought over it for about a second before shaking her head. “Not at all.” This was a half-lie she conjured up on the spot.

Cause in actuality she didn’t have any malice towards him, it was just a weird feeling of something she just didn’t want to be brought up. “So what do you need?” She asked.

“I just wanted to you know catch up, maybe talk for a little while, 'cause in all honesty, we’ve barely talked to one another,” Sonic stated making her nervous.

“Talk about what exactly? Because I have no idea what we should discuss.” Starlight was hoping to try and divert the conversation.

“How about… uh, our lives after all as much as I have seen you hang out with the “Rainbow Ponies” I don’t exactly know anything about you. Not saying we should dive into that cause of that invasion of privacy, but if you feel like it then go ahead and tell me something.”

Starlight felt the sudden urge to potentially do something to the Hedgehog, like using her magic against him.

But she held her calm nature and decided to just push these thoughts down deep, as far as she could push them into the back of her mind.

“Look it would be best if you leave, I don't want to potentially say something stupid,” Starlight admitted with a groan making Sonic’s ears flop down.

“Oh okay I understand, you don’t want to talk to me for some unjustifiable reason so I'm gonna stay here until you tell me what's wrong.” He grew a smirk knowing he had her trapped within his control.

Starlight felt her anger come out and it became obvious to him. “Why do you even want to be here around me?! I have nothing of value that's worth your time!” 

Sonic looked at her seriously. “Okay listen here buckeroo, you’re being moody and seem to be stuck with who you are as a Pony, so suck it up right now because I’m gonna help you!”

Starlight however wasn’t having it. “I don’t care! Besides I have much better things to do than being a loner.”

That set one of Sonic’s nerves off. “What’d you just say?” He growled.

“I already told you, need me to spell it out for you! ’ I have much better things to do than being a loner!’ So go away!” She demanded.

Sonic got out of his seat walking towards the door, but then suddenly he dashed right towards Starlight jumping over her desk and grabbing her body pushing it down to the ground.

She was caught off guard by the sudden action, seeing the anger on his face. Whatever she said must’ve ticked him off but she wasn't going to stop now, she activated her horn blasting him off of her and sending him across the room.

She quickly stood up as he did as well, starting each other down and not letting up on either side. “If it's gonna be a fight then bring it on!” Sonic declared as they both charged at one another.

Upon colliding they began throwing one attack after the other, Sonic would land a normal punch to Starlight while she’d land a blast of magic.

Yet no matter how many times one of them received an injury, they continued to get back up and fight their stamina not decreasing.

“Alright, this is getting nowhere.” Sonic pointed out, to which he immediately dashed forward once more this time however he swiped Starlight off her hooves, making her fall on the ground with her back.

Before she could get up he quickly grabbed her horn softly, to prevent her use of magic while making sure her forehooves didn't move to make sure escape was impossible. 

Breathing laboriously, Sonic stared into her eyes with a glare that intimidated her enough to not fight back. “Had enough yet?”

“...Yeah, I-I think that's enough.” Sonic let go of her horn, standing up so she could get back on her hooves.

After a few seconds of abrupt silence, Sonic finally spoke. “So... what's making you feel uncomfortable?”

Starlight glanced at the Hedgehog for a second, contemplating whether or not she should answer him, but she eventually sighed finally keeping eye contact with him. “I-I feel as though Twilight and the others, don't see me as a real friend. Considering that I'm in a position that doesn't exactly fit me at all, all I've done is give low-effort advice that most likely doesn't help in the long run.”

Sonic looked at her with sympathy, he couldn't imagine that sort of feeling especially since his friends felt like real friends. “Y’know what? I think I know what the problem is,” he stated with confidence.

Her eyes widened a little. “Really?”

He nodded, “Yeah, you see that's only what you think because, in reality, I've talked with them about many topics and whenever you’re brought up they’ve said nothing but praise about you.

“I guess that since you don't exactly hang out with them, all the time as they do with each other it has left you thinking about all these negative thoughts that make you feel uncomfortable.”

Starlight stared at him in shock, he had figured out what her problem was and he'd pointed out what she could do to fix it.

“How are you so good at the whole advice thing, it sounds like you should be a guidance counsellor!” She asked with genuine curiosity.

“Well when you've been alone for over a decade, you pick up on that sort of thing and I guess it just sticks with you.

“Or it's just because I can play as both a therapist and myself at the same time, who knows?” He shrugged.

For once Starlight smiled today. “I guess you should keep doing it. After all, it may come in a hoof or hand later on.”

“Possibly but I shouldn't worry about that right now, right?” He asked with slight concern.

“Yeah, yeah… yeah don’t worry about it right now heh, heh.” Starlight chuckled nervously very unsure about it as well.

They both sat in the silence finding it very awkward, until Sonic brought up a question. “Is there anything you do in your spare time, as in like a hobby?”

Starlight was taken by surprise, but she smiled at him seeming to accept his presence now. “Yes, yes I do. However my question to you is, have you ever heard of kites?”

Sonic’s face brightened like a little kid. “I’ve heard of them, but never got the chance to use them!”

Starlight giggled at his reaction. “Well today is your lucky day, Mr. Hedgehog.”
