> Aria of Your Moonlit Mistress > by Lunar Hymn > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- > Didn't Name The Chapter Since I Was Lazy > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- Trial and error, a lesson you’ve engraved into your mind ever since you found yourself tossed into a world full of ponies and heaven knows what else. Only a week has passed, but to you, it feels like a year. You were trapped inside of a dungeon due to spreading mass panic throughout the land since you were considered a threat to them. The first few days were a pain since you had nothing to do besides count the tiles on the floor. But eventually, the time for judgment has come. "Rise, creature, it's time to face the music." A deep, masculine voice echoes throughout your cell. You awaken to see a black coated unicorn guard plated in gold armor and a matching gold helmet glaring at you through the bars of your cell. Appearance wise, he seems to be calmer than all of the other ponies you’ve met thus far. "Get to it! "You've got a busy day ahead of you, now eat up and make yourself somewhat presentable for the princesses." "Fine, but why don't you seem to be afraid of me? Every other pony I've met so far has fainted or screamed bloody murder." "At least let me introduce myself before I answer that. My name is Astral Nova. I've been working here as a guard for about two years now and have grown so used to these spontaneous events happening that it just doesn’t phase me anymore." You take a moment to ponder on what he meant by "spontaneous events", but decide to tell him your name to give him a better impression of yourself. "And to answer your question, it’s because I’ve got a feeling you won't try anything. Just looking at you reminds me of myself. A simple pony trying to live a simple life." You sigh and give a weak smile before responding. "Sure, if your definition of a simple life is being thrown into a world full of ponies and putting you into a dungeon, at least I know some level-headed people out there." "You're right about that kid, but it seems like that should be the least of your worries for now. Sure, I might understand you, but that doesn't mean the princesses will. Now clean yourself up; it's almost time for your trial." After washing your face and trying to make yourself look at least decent, you walk towards the door of the cell where the Astral was waiting to escort you to the trial. The walk was short but interesting. To say the least, the architecture of the palace alone sends shivers down your spine. Gold and red ribbons cascaded down the smooth marble columns that supported the building. Even the floor impressed you, being so clean that your reflection was clear. You think to yourself, whoever keeps this place clean deserves the raise of a lifetime. As you are still in awe of the scenery around you, Astral coughs, grabbing your attention. The massive gold and white door before you reminds you that this might be the end of your life as you know it. Goosebumps slowly rise on your arm as you approach the door while Astral prepares to open it. The doors open to a long red carpet leading to a short incline leading up to the thrones of the diarchy of Equestria. Guards are posted alongside each pillar in the room, attentively observing your movements as you make your approach. Ponies of various shapes and sizes are whispering amongst themselves, some eyeing you with malicious intent while the others hide, scared of what you may be. You take a moment to admire the stained glass windows in the room depicting different moments of history and pause when you see an oddly shaped creature that looked like a child had just jumbled things together on a dragon's body and called it a toy. It made you think that you were no longer at home, but somewhere your life could be easily taken from you if anyone deemed you a threat. While your mind is cluttered with all the thoughts going in and out of it, Astral nudges you with his hoof, snapping you out of your trance. There before you were the princesses, the beings that you assume that the ponies all around you worship as god-like deities. "I am Princess Celestia, and to my right is my dear younger sister, Princess Luna. Please tell me your name, what you are, and how you got here." The taller white mare's voice was pleasant and elegant. Her mane was a swath of glorious colors similar to an aurora borealis and even appeared to move, though there was no sign of wind in the room. All your thoughts vanished as you were in awe of her beauty. You take a deep breath, then confidently state your name and what you were. Telling them where you came from was a bit of a challenge. At first, they gave you a skeptical glance when you told them that you had just been pulled from your home to their world, but they eventually realized you spoke nothing but the truth. Murmurs from around the room flood into your ears, many intrigued, while others still see you as an abomination. You continue on about Earth for quite some time, explaining various different topics such as technological advancements and even agriculture. The faces of the ponies around you began to lighten up as some of the things you mentioned peaked their interest. You sigh in relief that you're gaining the public's best interest and continue sharing knowledge. From the looks of things, everything was going smoothly until you noticed the younger princess whispering in her sister's ear. A flurry of emotions went through your body as you hoped that whatever she said did not lead to your potential demise. A small yet obvious blush was on Celestia as her sister pulled away from her ear. Celestia rose from her throne. "It would appear that my sister and I would like to take a moment to discuss any further actions upon this ‘human’ The court shall be dismissed." The ponies started exiting the throne room chatting to one another, hoping they'd make the right decision, and before you knew it, even the royal sisters had left, leaving you to wait in silence. As seconds turned into minutes, anxiety started to grip upon your soul as the sound of the ticking clock began to grow louder and louder. Out of the corner of your eye, a golden glow engulfed a nearby door. The two sisters returned to their respective thrones and exchanged glances before returning your gaze. You took notice that the elder one had a smirk on her face but decided it was best to ignore it. After you regain your composure, Celestia begins to speak, "So dearest human, it seems that my sister has an interest in you and would like to hire you as her servant." After all, you’ve seen the looks the noble ponies gave you during the trial, and it would be best if we kept you here for now." You looked towards Luna and saw a faint little blue blush on her cheeks, complementing her colors nicely. Her mane was just like her sister’s but was a translucent blue-violet that shimmered like the night sky. You had to do a double-take for a moment because you thought you saw the stars in her mane move. "Lieutenant Nova, you may enter." Celestia’s voice echoed through the room, and the doors opened to reveal the only person you somewhat consider as a friend. "Yes, your majesty?" Astral spoke with nothing but pure loyalty in his voice. "Please escort the human towards his room in the Lunar Hall and then you are dismissed for the evening. I’ve noticed that you two get along nicely enough, so you are permitted visitation after you clock out for the night." As you and Astral walked down the hall, you noticed that he took off his helmet. His mane was a gleaming royal purple with a black stripe down the middle. You also noticed on his flank a mark that appeared to resemble a supernova. You pause for a moment before speaking. "If you don't mind me asking, what's the mark on your flank supposed to mean? I’ve noticed everyo- I mean everypony has one of them but never figured out what it meant." Astral turned to face you with a look of confusion on his face before answering. "Well, that is my cutie mark, and it is a representation of what a pony is talented in. In my case, I was just a colt who was interested in space and saw a supernova one night while stargazing and wanted to create one myself after seeing its beauty. After years of studying and many failed attempts, I managed to create a smaller version of it, but it sure did pack a punch and had me in the hospital for a week." As soon as Astral’s story ended, you arrived at your new room. It was just as grand and luxurious as the castle itself. The room was spacious and had everything one might need. The black furnishings really complemented the violet-blue room, making it all the more beautiful. As you lie on the bed, you notice the moon and sun depicted on the ceiling above, which both Celestia and Luna had on their flanks. Planting your face into the pillow, you recount your stressful yet interesting day. Time ticks by and you slowly drift away to dreamland as you wonder what your first day of being a servant will entail. > Morning and a Meating > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- The morning sun crept in through the window, signaling to you it was time to wake up. You weren’t really a morning person, but starting a new job meant it was time to get over it. You drag yourself out of bed and into the bathroom to take a shower. Luckily for you, they had some rather nicely scented soaps to really get the weeks' worth of grime and sweat off you from being in the dungeon.  After your shower, you took some time to remove the stubble from your face and headed towards the wardrobe that contained your new work clothes. It was an indigo dress shirt with matching pants, with Luna’s cutie mark emblazoned on the breast pocket and on the back. Realization smacked you in the face as you wondered when they got the size for your clothes, but put that aside for now. Getting dressed was probably going to be the easiest part of the day though. You've had to do some odd jobs back at home to make ends meet, but being a personal servant for a princess, let alone a pony was a first. You exit the room to see your one and only "friend" Astral back in his guard attire standing at attention next to the door. He trots around you, looking up and down, then stops, giving you a nod of affirmation. "Looking good there, human. Now you're ready to go get some breakfast before you start off your day?" while nudging you towards the direction of the dining hall.  The room was crowded with ponies conversing to one another. Maids and guards were scattered around enjoying their morning before the long and hectic day of being a part of the castle staff. As you make your way through, the stares of the castle staff directed toward you made you feel a tad bit uncomfortable but it was bound to happen. You were an unknown entity in their world after all. Grabbing a muffin and some orange juice you headed towards the table Astral was flagging you down towards and took a seat. "Ehh, Its not a sausage biscuit but it'll do for breakfast." Astral glances over towards you. "So you're one of them meat eaters? Honestly thought you ate the same things as us ponies." "Nah, we humans are omnivores so we eat meat and plants. Sure we can go without it, but it can lead to health problems later on. I'm more surprised you aren't screaming in terror." "You aren't the first meat eater I've been around so it doesn't bother me, after all I'm a member of the Royal Guard, wouldn't be here if I couldn't handle a bit of blood. Don't know if the princesses filled you in on them yet but we do have griffons." "Griffons, even in a different world some things are similar. Wonder if I'll ever get to meat one." You couldn't really tell if Astral caught on your little meat pun, but you still thought it was funny. A couple minutes passed by and an earth pony mare cautiously sat down next to Astral and looked at you before she began to eat as well. “So are ya this things foalsitter?” The mare said, giving Astral a look of disappointment. Her words kind of hit pretty hard but you've accepted that not everyone knew who you really were yet. Confidently you begin to speak, “Nope, He is my only friend in this world and just showing me the ropes before I start my first day as Princess Luna’s personal assistant.” “Yeah he’s actually quite a good companion once you get to know him, but there was no need to call him a thing Lickity, you were briefed last night about who he was just like the rest of us so the polite thing to do is apologize.” Astral included. She seemed to be quite an interesting mare since she was the only other pony besides Astral and the princesses who decided to approach you. You took notice that she keeps glancing over towards Astral every now and then. You weren’t the best with women back on earth, but weren’t a complete idiot either, you recognized right away that she had some type of feelings towards him and if anything anime and T.V. Has taught you, Men are clueless. Lickity looked over toward you feeling guilty for making fun of you and began to speak, “Well then I’m sorry, and I should at least introduce myself as well. Names Lickity Split, Second in Command in the Maid Corp, We got off on the wrong hoof and I hope we can start over anew as friends. “Preciate the apology Lickity. Hey Astral, she seems like a keeper, better shoot your shot while you can." Astral blissfully unaware of the comment you made looks at you with a cute and silly confused face before rising out of his seat. “Welp, guess it's about time to start your first day ehh Monkey Man?” 'Monkey Man'. You thought the nickname was a tad bit offensive but in human nature you weren't going to go down without a fight. Slowly, you begin to head towards the door before yelling, "Okay then Ass-tral lets get a move on! Unlike you I'm not trying to be late for my job." All of the ponies in the room began to laugh and cherry red blush appeared on Astral's muzzle before he started pushing you into the hall. "Now what did you go and do that for, I'm gonna be the laughing stock of the guard because of you!" There's a saying back in my world, 'If a pony makes fun of you, make fun of them ten times as much. "Let me guess, humans have all sorts of sayings related to ponies?" "Nope just wanted to mess with you again is all." You both breakout into a small giggle fit as you make your way towards Princess Luna's quarters. The azure colored door towards the end of the hall signaled the end of your journey with Astral and the start of your new job. "Well we've arrived seems like it'll be awhile until we see each other again Monkey Man, better not screw this up since I don't want to be the one standing outside a dungeon cell again." "No need to worry Astral, if its one thing you should know about humans, we can adapt to situations quite well." "I'll take your word on that, I need to get to my post for the day see you around. " Astral began to trot away leaving you to wonder what could be in store on the other side of the door, > The Mistress of The Night > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- You already knew that Princess Luna entrusted a being like you to be her own personal assistant but the reason why is still what makes you concerned. The tall door separating the two of you makes all of your anxiety boil up remembering the power that she holds. One wrong screw up and you could be back down in the rundown dungeon or even worse. Being late to work wouldn't be your best impression to make on a member of royalty, you decide to take deep breaths and let all those feelings drift away into oblivion. Work time can be fun but since it's your 1st day the serious face needs to stay on at all costs. Cautiously, you knock upon her door and await a response.  “Thou may enter thy chambers, we have been expecting thee.” Her voice shook the stained glass windows through the hall and even made you lightheaded. You wondered if she was irritated, but on further inspection of your watch you were a few minutes earlier than expected. A midnight blue glow consumed the door exposing the room's interior. The room looked quite similar to your own, the color of the walls were a darker shade of Luna’s coat and furnishings were black lined with silver. Mounted on the wall above her bed was a glimmering silver spear that looked like it could pierce the heavens themselves.  “I see that thou is amused by my spear, maybe one day we shall tell the tales of adventure we once had.” Luna said while eyeing you as your eyes wander the room. “Excuse me your Highness, but why do you use the royal ‘we’ when you speak unlike your sister?” Luna sighs, “I do apologize, we’ve been trying our best to learn to speak the common tongue but it just feels natural to speak that way.” You walked closer toward her, placed your hand on her back and began to pet her. “It’s no big deal, even though I'm still getting used to saying everypony. Seems like we both already have a similar goal to work towards princess.” As you remove your hand from her back, you hear her groan. “May I ask why thou decided to stroke our back just then?, back in the olden times, you’d be sent to death for doing so.” “Uhm, I guess it felt like the proper thing to do at the time. Back home on earth, most people usually loved to pet ponies and such so it was just an unconscious reaction.” “I see, do ask for permission next time, I am a princess after all. Now then let's get on with the explanation of your new post. I do believe this is thou's first time working with royalty based off the story you told?” “Yes it is your highness, we did have them back home but it mainly was used as a title rather than a position of power.” “So we shall now discuss all the title of Personal Assistant entails. You are expected to work at least five of seven days a week in the Royal Night Court taking down important notes and keeping me on-time to scheduled appointments. You shall perform tasks I have delegated towards you and your salary will be based on your performance. Any questions?” The job seemed simple enough in your eyes but deep down you wondered why she still chose you. ”If I may ask Princess, Why have you chosen me over the hundreds of thousands of ponies at your own disposal?” Your voice quaked with unease but you really wanted this question answered to get it off your chest. “Tis a simple answer, you’ve piqued my interest, we’ve never seen your kind before and it would be a waste to let you do simple menial work when your talents can shine elsewhere.” She gave you a bit of closure but a small feeling deep down made you feel as if something else was still there. There was no point in dragging out what she was thinking so you decided it was best to leave it at that. “Are you still there, dear assistant?”  Luna’s voice snapped you out of your daze. “Yes Princess, Just lost in thought, nothing to be worried about.” Your mind was still trying  to pick apart any other meanings in her words but to no avail. “Very well, if there aren't further queries let us move to the royal courtroom to explain your tasks a bit more before you are dismissed.”  Luna walked towards the door signaling you to follow with a slight flick of her head. To be someone who was away from her duties for whatever reason she did seem quite confident with her actions. The trip to the royal court was a bit of a trek since the castle’s interior was bigger than you actually thought. On route, you encountered quite a few others from breakfast that morning who began to smile and wave towards you. On one hand you thought they were finally warming up to you, but on the other it may just be them being courteous since one of their rulers was with you. On arrival to the room, Celestia was seated upon her throne with a face that openly showed that she had enough. You know the face that people, and in this case a pony princess, would sport knowing that the next stupid thing they hear will cause a mental breakdown. “Sister, may I ask what is the matter? You know we hate seeing you like this.” Luna pleaded.  The sheer sisterly love radiating from her almost made you forget to breathe. Those two were close to one another after all, you even thought that they could potentially end the world with their sisterly aura if they wanted.  Celestia was rubbing her hooves against her temples. “ Lulu, no need to be concerned, the nobles are still trying to push for a land plot to be offered in order to make a resort. The idea isn’t bad for the country's infrastructure, it's where they want it built that raises an alarm.” Luna approached her and nuzzled her cheek to relieve some of her stress. “Let me take a guess, they want to use land from Sweet Apple Acres in order to build such facilities? Do they even have a clue that the Apple Family has been there since the founding of the place? Sure we have the executive power to do so, but they are as close to us as most noble families." “And that’s where the problem lies, dearest sister, the noble ponies don’t appreciate them as apple farmers and consider them mere farm folk. I never gave them a clear answer but I doubt this will end anytime soon, I shall retire for the evening so I shall see you both later.”  A bright golden flash filled the room and she was gone leaving you and Luna together yet again. “Now back to the matter at hand, since your main duties are to be based around my night court it will be for the best that you take note of any important events that transpire, I’m aware that our spoken and written languages are similar so ensure that your penmanship is tidy. Court isn’t in session today so you may ask me anything before you leave for the night.” You fiddle with your fingers a bit thinking about anything but only the only thing on your mind was answered already. “No your highness there I have no further questions”. “Very well you are dismissed, I shall see you tomorrow evening my assistant may you have a good night.” The door closed behind you as you began to enter another deep thought wandering the castle grounds wondering what the future entails as Luna's assistant. > Night at The Bar > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- 3 Months Later You cringed looking back at some of your screw ups since you began your job like the one time you threw a bucket of water at a wild phoenix since you thought the poor bird was on fire, or when you accidentally brushed into Astral’s horn causing him to buck you into a pond. How were you to know that a unicorn’s horn was sensitive and aroused them, you weren’t a pony anatomy specialist. Thinking back on it gives you shivers down your spine but it was a moderately enjoyable time nonetheless.  The blissful evening breeze wafted across your room relaxing your entire body. Since you had the night off there was only one logical thing to do, hit up the local bar with Astral and have some nice manly banter. Scheduling this night was a pain at first since your working times varied, but in a recent turn of events, the planets aligned giving you both the same days off. Work wasn’t difficult, just being primarily around two princesses, snobby nobles, and the occasional foreign dignitary, you really couldn't be ‘yourself’. Sure meeting new ponies and other creatures was cool, but a man has to have his manly time after all. The streets of Canterlot were less crowded unlike the day, however it was still brimming with life. Ponies gathering about enjoying their night out on the town. Seems like gallivanting around at night is a universal thing no matter where you are. The smell of exotic pony cuisine fills your nostrils as you progress towards the bar, you make a mental note to swing by one of these places when you get the chance. They might be primarily herbivores, but damn some of these vegan meals you’ve tried put the earth's vegan food to shame. It was beautiful during the day, but at night it turned into a whole different place. Your leisurely stroll finally came to an end once a golden glow came into view. The Lucky Horseshoe, the best bar in all of Equestria, at least in your eyes, not a single snobby noble would ever come here. This was the pinnacle of the common stallions Friday night out with the boys. The scent of alcohol and peanuts drifted into your nose and hearing conversations of hoofball and mares as you opened the door. Sure it wasn’t like a bar back on earth but the energy felt exactly the same.  “How’s my favorite human customer doing?, been awhile since your last visit, anything new to share?” You recognized that condescending voice from anywhere as you see the bartender and owner Moonshine signaling you to head his way. “Pfft favorite, I'm the only one you have Shine. I’m fine though, just happy I can have a night out with Astral for a change. Dealing with nobles and randomly scattered villains really puts a mental drain on you.”  Moonshine was a bit of an older unicorn stallion. His mane was a weird mixture of grey and brown that looked quite nice on him, his faded tan coat makes you wonder how bright it used to be back in his prime. Sure he was old but he knew how to make one hell of a drink. “Could be worse, you could be dealing with drunk stallions breaking everything when they have the Great Stallion Chug. It’s all fun and games until somepony is thrown through a window and I have to clean up the mess.” Moonshine stared deeply at the smooth wooden countertop he was cleaning off and let out a deep sigh. “They prance in here all confident in their drinking skills and lo and behold their knocked clean out on the floor being trampled upon by other drunkards, I’m not dealing lawsuits, making sure nopony sues me by making them all sign a waiver as soon as the night comes.” “There you are, monkey man was looking all over the district for yah.” Yet another familiar voice graced your ears and a shit eating grin came across your face.  You turn around to see the “Somedays I swear your and actual fucking idiot Astral, but your my idiot, bring that flank on over here and let loose.”  “Hey Shine, how do you manage this place so well on your own? You're quite an older stallion than most bar owners here, what’s the secret?” Astral said with a confused look. “Sure but a price. If I tell you what makes this place stay a float your first drink will be double the bits? Sounds like a fair deal if I do say so myself.”  Astral looked over towards you nodding making sure he wasn’t drunk off of the cider fumes in the air. “Fine I’ll do it, this better be one hell of a secret for double the price Shine.” Moonshine signaled Astral with his hoof to get a bit closer and whispered something you couldn’t quite hear. Their little secret sharing conversation lasted quite a while before you saw a puzzled Astral and Shine had a shit eating grin upon his muzzle. “So is that all? No magic, no anything, just some guy named Joe? Can you at least tell me who he was?” You flicked your head towards Shine and smiled. You knew exactly where this was going and nodded your head. Shine took note of your gesture and returned it. "Astral how do you not know about Joe, he’s quite famous here in Canterlot." You added. “For Celestia’s sake WHO THE BUCK IS JOE!” Astral shouted at the top of his lungs. Yet again you and Shine lock gazes and nod. Simultaneously you both shout “JOE MOMMA!!!” Astral looked dumbfounded for a brief moment before taking in his surroundings watching you both turn red in laughter. “I-I can’t believe you fell for the oldest trick in the book Ass, here I thought being a royal guard trained you for anything, guess I was wrong.” You barely managed to utter as your own laughter overwhelmed you after such a corny joke. “You ask and you shall receive Astral, you wanted my secret and you got it, better pay up lad. Someone like you should be more observant to body language, seems like you're getting a tad bit rusty. Astral began to shake his head. “You're not the only person who said that to me either. Reading you is difficult since I’m learning more about humans but ponies are different. Guess I might as well tell you guys about somepony special that entered my life.” Moonshine sat the glass he’s cleaning down and gave a bit of a chuckle. “Heh a stallion in love, cherish these moments my boy. Best take care of your mare Astral, somepony who found love in you must be worth it.” Astral and Moonshine continued to chat back and forth while you were pondering on who was the lucky lady that conquered his heart. Sure Astral was quite the handsome stallion compared to most, but his typical attitude to most things might just shake them away. Most likely the mare in question was a member of the guard since they spent plenty of time with one another but who knows, might as well get the answer out of him. You clear your throat and begin to speak. “ So Ass, who’s the lucky lady and when are we going to meet her? Can’t be holding out on us man.” “You of all people should know her already you bucking idiot, but Lickity and I have been a thing for about a month now. Before you ask, she asked me out and the rest of the guard pressured me into giving her a shot. A few dates and drinks later I discovered she and I clicked and I enjoyed spending more time together.” Your jaw dropped after hearing his statement. You knew Lickity liked him from the start but the sheer fact Astral didn’t utter a word about this to you until now kind of hurt. “Damn Ass, didn’t tell your own best friend about your lady. Sure you don’t gotta tell me everything in your life, but something like this is grounds for celebration my man.” “I have to agree with him on that Astral.” Moonshine included. “You’ve  been a great friend of mine and a generous customer for some time now. Let’s have this first round of drinks in your honor, obviously you’re paying double for your drink also.” With an annoyed sigh, Astral nodded his head. “Shine, bring out the strongest stuff you have and let’s enjoy ourselves tonight.” Moonshine walked out from behind the bar with a crimson red bottle labeled Solar Eclipse. “Hope you're ready for this gentleman. Finest liquor on Equis, most won’t dare to give it a taste but in honor of Astral’s new found love let’s give it a run shall we boys?” The strong scent of the drink knocked you out of your stupor. It smelt quite similar to vodka but toned down quite a bit. Glancing over toward Astral, you notice that the smell took quite the toll on him as he rubbed his muzzle with his forehooves.  You slide them their drinks and lift yours into the air. “ To Ass and his new marefriend.” They followed suit and chugged it in tandem. 3 rounds of drinks and pointless dialogue later… Astral was probably one drink away from drunk to just plain incapable of any intelligence level of speech. You take note that he was a weak drinker compared to yourself and Shine and that leaving him alone long enough might make him spill any national secrets he may know. You stood up and attempted to wake him up but to no avail. Only more drunken rambling and occasional neigh’s came from his muzzle. Moonshine went to begin closing up shop leaving you to take care of the sack of potatoes you call a friend. Placing him upon your back, you wave toward Shine and he nodded in response before leaving the bar. Astral kept shaking and nuzzling your back as you walked the city streets. The lights within homes slowly began to turn off as most were settling down for the night.  “Hey Monkey Man, you should find some mare of your own, even if someone like me could find love, sure you can too.”  Astral’s little drunken spiel caught you off guard before you looked over your shoulder before seeing him fast asleep yet again. The thought of dating a mare has come across your mind often but from the few you did know they were already taken or were royalty. Sure dating a princess would be an interesting venture, but you already knew Celestia saw you as a good friend and reading companion while Luna stayed to herself unless she needed you.  She was quite the mysterious mare after all. Being banished to the moon for a thousand years really can change someone, well in her case somepony. Luna did have her adorable moments though especially when it came to pulling small pranks on her sister. It was one of the few things she kept on to even after all those years. Her laughter was quite contagious and even you helped out in some of her shenanigans..  Shaking the thoughts of Luna and romance aside, you continue your trek towards the castle barracks to drop off the pain in the ass known as Astral. He was right though, it's about time to give some mare a chance but it was all a matter of who. > A Sister is All You Need > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- You are Princess Luna, Lunar regent of the Equestrian throne, Mistress of the Night, and completely confused on how to make a move on the human.  Sure being away for 1000 years may have made your communication skills poor but romance was just nowhere in your field of expertise. You do recall every now and then stallions did attempt to court you with words, chocolate and the likes, however your studies of dark magic and dream walking was a major priority. Ever since the arrival of your new personal assistant, all of your emotions were scattered about anytime it dealt with him. He was a quite interesting creature having a build closely resembling the minotaur's but still smaller. Your first thoughts on him made you think he was nothing but a slightly intelligent ape, but upon closer inspection, he was much more than that. The moment he spoke something within clutched upon your heart. He was so similar to you yet different. Faces in a new world that they had little to no knowledge of.  Back in the times of old, a stallion did everything in his power to get a mare to notice him. Diving into pits of mud, fighting in the streets, and even as far as eating the weeds in her yard just to get a chance at courting them. Watching stallions fight for a mare's attention was a sight to behold, even as a princess you were graced to see a few scuffles.  Upon your return, not one stallion gave you a compliment like they once did in the past. Someponies would smile and wave in your direction but never maintained one bit of eye contact. The castle staff did their best in trying to make you feel better but a genuine compliment from the heart never was spoken towards you as it was their job. All they saw now was the monstrosity allowed Nightmare Moon to run rampant. That all changed when he arrived. Such an unusual creature that at first glance looked nothing more than a sophisticated ape. However hearing him speak changed your opinions instantly, the compliments he gave to you and Celestia were heartfelt. From that moment onward you knew you wanted to become closer to the point you wanted him as a personal assistant, after all Celestia had Lady Inkwell so sooner or later you'd get one of your own. He always managed to make night court more entertaining since it wasn’t as popular as the court Celestia held. From speaking about how the different constellations shared similar features from his home to even reenacting some of his favorite scenes from what he called “movies”. One night after dealing with Blueblood trying to weasel his way into power, he brought up one of his favorite series of all time Star Wars. Taking the chance of being yelled at by Celestia, he stood upon her throne and screamed “I have the high ground now Anakin!” You didn't have an iota of a clue what it meant but the smile upon his face said it all. Snapping out of your daze a stray thought popped in. I wonder if he wouldn't mind having me as his special somepony? We get along quite well and enjoy each other’s companion  But like every time something good happens, the seeds of doubt began to make themselves known. Would he be interested in somepony like me?  *knock*  After all I’ve done to my sister, my jealous rage almost took someone I loved already.  *knock* Would it strike again? Would I be able to handle being Ni- Several loud and repetitive knocks snapped you out of your stupor. “Who dares knock on the door to my chamber!?” “Dearest sister, may I come in? I’d like to speak with you for a moment “Ahh Tia you may enter, what brings you here this fine night? You’re typically at rest during this hour.” “Lulu what is on your mind, we are sister’s after all. Complaining to one another is a good way to relieve stress.’ “Tia, what would you do if you had feelings for another?, When we were younger, stallions lined up to court you. I'm just at a loss on what to do next.” “Have you tried making it known you're interested in him?  Stallions tend to be a bit clueless to a mare's feelings unless they are in heat or you constantly rub against them.” “But of course, I’ve nuzzled his cheek, stood close to him and even flagged my tail once but not once has he said anything yet.’ “Luna by any chance the one you’re interested in was the human? Maybe since he is a different species their courting rituals may be different?” “I… uhh never really thought about it like that. Perhaps I should’ve asked him more about his kind.” “So for the last few months you’ve been trying to attract a mate the way our species does and not once did you think that he doesn't know any of the signs?” “Sister, you don't have to make me feel like a dunce. Maybe teaching him our body language would’ve been beneficial. Picture all the mares that might have tried to make a move on him but he was oblivious the entire time.” “With that little episode out of the way. Lulu, is it love you’re feeling or just curiosity taking over? Sometimes other emotions can feel like another so I want to make sure this is not just a one time thing. Love is a precious feeling, you shouldn’t rush into it blind.” “Tis love I feel Tia. Just being around him sets my heart aflutter. The last time I felt like this was when we were fillies running amok in the gardens of Everfree Castle. It brings me delight when we get to spend time together after night court. Staring at the stars and even discussing various ways to play practical jokes on thou. His mere companionship as we walk the halls relaxes me after dealing with some of our more ‘extravagant’ subjects.” Celestia nodded her head and smiled. “Putting the prank comment aside for now, I will support you in your relationship with him. It’s not everyday you see an alien and alicorn wedding after all. I’ll do everything in my power to make sure it’s a beautiful day. I’ll have to ask Rarity to craft the finest attire for you and your husband to be.” “Wedding!?! Tia, we aren't even together yet and here you are thinking of marriage. I wouldn't object to the matter but it’s way too early to be thinking about it.” She broke out into a laughing fit observing the flustered state that you were in. ”Sorry Luna I had to, but I wouldn’t mind having him as a brother-in-law. It would seem that it's time for me to rest.” “Farewell sister, may you have a good evening. I appreciate talking to you like this and hope we can share more moments like this.” As Celestia exited the room she turned back to speak. “I too enjoy speaking to you like this. I hope whatever I said alleviated some of your troubles. Lulu, just remember in the end be honest with yourself and whoever you’ve fallen for.”  After a brief moment of eye contact she gives you a heartwarming smile and walks away. If only it were that easy. You thought before walking towards the balcony. If only. Listen to the beat of my aching heart I never lost sight of you from the start My soul can’t take when we’re apart I knew that I was on the mark Each day when I see your face I know no one can take your place As we stare at the setting sun It’s our time to have some fun I knew it was always meant to be I just want you right next to me One by one each day will come Until we both become as one  Now it's time no need to flee It is my heart I’ll give to thee “Ok, it’s time for me to mare up and tell him how I feel. Sister was right and I know it all too well, I want to be the only mare he needs.” You glance towards the crescent moon shaped crystal on your nightstand and take a deep breath before pouring magic into it summoning your human assistant. > Luna's Confession > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- 15 Minutes Earlier Astral’s words lingered in your mind after dragging him back to the barracks a couple of days ago. You’ve been in Equestria for months already but never really looked into love. The ponies were all cute and easy going after they met you but none really suited your fancy. You overheard several stallions talk about their taste in mares and it didn’t help the conundrum you found yourself in. Even if you were interested in hoping back into the dating scene. You hardly knew any mares outside of the castle that weren’t guards, maids or the princesses so options were quite limited. It took a bit of time to accept that you were stuck in magical pony land and even longer to start seeing them more like people than animals. Dating never really appealed to you until Astral told you about Lickity. Seeing them together made you realize how everyone needed love. Being a sad old man wasn't on your bucket list and won’t be any time soon. Wouldn’t mind having a marefriend of my own though. You thought. She doesn't need to be anything special, just somepony that can be there to talk to. The crescent shaped crystal hanging around your neck began to buzz and a deep blue glow illuminated from it. Speak of the devil. Seems like a certain somepony heard my thoughts. Might as well see what she wants. Back To The Present The azure colored door that you’ve had the pleasure to be acquainted with yet again presents itself before you. It was a common sight to you, however it was cracked just a bit unlike most nights. Slowly opening the door, you glance around the room to find Luna but she is nowhere to be seen. Her room was dimly lit with a few black candles scattered about in various places. The colors of the room were quite similar to your own since it was in the Lunar Wing of the castle. Luna’s taste in décor really was easier on the eyes than the flashbang of white and gold Celestia preferred.  “Dearest friend, have you ever considered finding yourself a marefriend?” Luna creeped out from the shadows giving you quite the spook. “All the work here at the castle must be tiring. Surely there's a mare out there that has given you a chance?” A shiver goes down your spine as her words reminded you of how mere moments ago you were thinking about the same thing. “Can’t say there is anypony like that in my life right now. Closest one to me is Astral, but neither of us swing that way nor want to share his marefriend.” You chuckled at your clever joke. “Then what kind of mare would you be looking for as a companion?” Luna moved closer to you out of curiosity. Taking a moment to ponder upon her query, you began to start scratching your chin. “Hmm. She doesn’t really need to be anything special. Somepony who likes to relax and enjoy the quiet time we have together. Obviously she has to be okay with someone simple and laid back. But the most important thing has to be somepony who I can call my best friend.” “Interesting… Well in that case I have a proposition for you,  Would you like to be my coltfriend?” Luna’s face blushed with a dark bluish hue. “We get along quite well and I’ve been infatuated with you for quite some time now. I heard being straightforward is the best way to express the feeling of love.” She raised her hoof before you even could open your mouth. “Now before you respond I just wanted to let out my genuine feelings to you. Ever since your mysterious arrival many moons ago I've always had an interest in you. At first it was mere curiosity at a new species but as time went on and the time spent with each other helped me figure out that it was love that I began to feel. You managed to get close to me without anyponies help, twas your own efforts that changed my view of you. You may speak now.” All rational thought just flew out the window. Your own boss, one of the princesses of Equestria, just asked you out. On one hand you felt honored to know she feels that way but on the other, you don’t know how to respond to her. Luna was great company and one of the sweetest mares you’ve grown to know. How could a mere human become the item of her affection?  “Hey Luna, are you sure you’d want someone like me? I’m nothing special. Just a man doing his job.” Luna puts her upon your shoulder. “If I didn’t like you, I wouldn’t put myself in a spot like this. You know how others are with me She was right, it’s only been a few months since her return and ever since you became her assistant, you’ve mainly done the talking in all of the meetings so far. Everypony would just nod and stay silent in her presence.  “Fine you win. How could I say no to somepony like you? I’d be honored to be your coltfriend princess.” “Huzzah! We now have somehuman to call our own.” Luna flew across her room with a smile that rivals the pink blur Pinkie Pie herself. Another chill found its way up your spine as a sudden realization hits you square in the face. The weird alien thing and princess are a couple, what would the public think? “Hey Luna. Are you going to, you know, keep us a secret like most royals do?” You ask with a tone of deep concern in your voice. “You’d be jeopardizing your public image after all. We both should know what scandals can do to a family. What you and Celestia share is special and I don't want to put a dent in it.”  Luna sauntered towards you and caressed your face with a hoof.. “I say let them. Why should I hide away the one I love simply because I'm royalty? They can think however they please about me. I am plagued with the repercussions of Nightmare Moon’s actions so their interest in anything related to me is quite low.” “What about your sister? Will she have something against the two of us being together?” “Celestia already gave me her blessing to be with you so she doesn’t mind your company one bit. She even said she already began planning out our wedding if we manage to make it that far.” “Marriage?” you hesitate for a moment before continuing to speak, “It's not out of the question, but being a prince probably is something Equestria isn’t ready for yet. Don’t they have to go through years of training?” “Then we shall teach thee the ways of being a prince worthy of ruling by my side.” Luna replied in an instant. “Should you succeed, your beautiful instructor may even give you a reward.” “This better be one hell of a reward then if I have to devote my time into it.” She leaned even closer, being mere centimeters from having her muzzle brush against your cheek and whispered in your ear. “Oh, it most certainly will be worth your time.” “Sooo since I’m guessing you aren’t doing anything tonight… Would you like to go out on a date? I mean we don't have to if you want to or anything but if y-” “But of course I’d like to spend the evening with my special somehuman. Oh, I’ve been imagining this moment for weeks on end now. Is there anywhere in particular you'd like to take me?” “I think I know just the place. The owner and I are pretty good friends.. Hope you don’t mind someplace for the common pony. I consider it to be the best of the hidden luxuries of Canterlot.” “So being by my side isn’t one of them?” Her bottom lip began to quiver. "Oh woe is me, my special somehuman doesn’t even consider me to be his number one” .Luna dramatically fell on her bed sighing loudly. “Whatever shall I do, not even being together for ten minutes and I’ve already lost my lover.” “Okay fine the 2nd best place Canterlot has to offer. Does that make my little princess feel better now? Or do I have to bow and seek forgiveness from you?”. Luna raised herself from the bed and giggled .“All is forgiven. Now let us depart on our first night of revelry together. I’m quite eager to see the place you speak so fondly about.” > Date Night (not edited yet) > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- As you walk down through the entertainment district, you carefully use your peripherals to observe Luna. Her face was glowing similarly to a filly who was seeing something new for the first time as she admired the activities her little ponies indulge themselves in. Canterlot’s night time scene was a new sight for her to behold coming from a time when the night was only illuminated by simple lanterns. “I still can’t believe my citizens enjoy my night. Before my banishment once night fell it was just pure silence and the guard patrolling the streets.” Luna said with a smile gracing her muzzle. “Ponies and creatures everywhere spend their evening out and about, some of which don’t even return home until dawn. Your night has become the home of many new things the day cant provide. Just because most are awake during the day it doesn’t mean the night isn’t as important." Luna galloped in front of you then skid to a halt. “But do you know what is important? The destination of our first date. We’ve been about for quite awhile now so how much longer until we arrive?” Chuckling at your impatient mare, you point at a dimly lit neon sign .“Well you’re in luck we already are here. Behold the greatest place in Equestria, The Lucky Horseshoe, a run down bar to outsiders, but to the worthy it is known as their home away from home.” “It’s a rundown tavern in an alleyway my love. Who would ever guess that something like this would ever exist.” Luna chirped in. “That's the beauty of it, Luna. You see a rundown tavern since you haven’t been here. I see a magical retreat where ponies can relax and let out the stress of the day. This place exudes a magic only the common pony can feel. You wouldn't dare see any nobles come here due to its location and to my knowledge you’d be the first.” “A place even my dearest sister hasn’t visited. At first you had my curiosity, but now you have my attention. Let us commence forth, I can't bear to wait any longer.” Luna shoved you through the door without a moment's notice. Upon entering, a wet rag slaps you directly in the face followed by a hearty laugh that only one pony you knew was capable of. “It's not your day off, whatever it is must be important if you're here now.” A smug grin graces your vision as you see Moonshine use his magic to clean the mess he made with his little prank. “You're right but today isn’t about me. I got myself a marefriend now and decided to bring her to my favorite place in town”. “So who’s the mare that managed to snag you up? You aren’t what I'd call a ladies man but at least somepony sees value in you.” He gave a quick stare down of your body before continuing to wipe down the counter. “Well tis good to know I'm the one mare that sees his true value then isn’t it Sir Moonshine?” An abrupt silence filled the entire bar as ponies' jaws dropped to see the Princess of the Night enter in the flesh. Moonshine’s body began to shake uncontrollably after recognizing the voice. “P-p Princess Luna?! It’s an honor to meet you in pony! My apologies for not bowing before you.” “No need to bow before me Sir Moonshine. I wish to be considered a patron tonight and if possible a friend. So please just call me Luna.” Tossing aside all of his nervousness, Moonshine switched back into bartender mode. “Well thank you for visiting Luna. So if you don’t mind me asking, what do you think of the place? Been taking care of her for thirty years and not once has a princess visited.” Luna’s eyes glossed over the establishment. The dimly lit bar was very reminiscent of her own room. The dark oak walls that were warped formed unusual yet alluring patterns that mimicked the ocean's waves. The floorboards creaked with every step and its color was slowly fading away. A hazelnut incense combined with the various different meals that ponies were feasting on filled her nostrils relieving excess stress she wasn’t aware of. “Sir Moonshine, this is such a fine establishment you have here. The atmosphere brings peace to my mind. I wouldn’t mind coming back here for another date, or even after night court is adjourned.”  Murmurs of the other patrons slowly began rising in volume after realizing she was there for a visit and not handing out divine punishment to those who sat before her. Some of which turned into friendly gossip realizing the princess was there for a date, and just seconds later the entire bar became lively yet again and Luna received several warm welcomes. “Appreciate the compliment princess. Now you two love birds go take a seat and I’ll be over there in a moment.”  Moonshine shouted before attending to a different table. “And you said ponies wouldn’t talk to you.”  “Yes but some also had looks of disgust upon them.” Luna muttered under her breath. “No freaking way. Monkey Man is that you?” Your mother always told you it took a dumbass to know a dumbass and she was right. Astral was your best friend after all and what's better than one dumbass, two. “Fuck off liberal. You know I come here too, don’t start acting surprised now Astral.” “Hey Astral, what's a liberal?” Lickity chimed in. “Don't worry about it. Human reference.” You added before Astral could even lift his muzzle. “You have me intrigued as well, what is this liberal you speak of.” Luna included. Quickly glancing around you notice Moonshine heading towards the table you all were seated at. "Why don't you look at that, a conveniently timed plot device that will get me out of this situation. Hey Shine, we are ready to order!” “Ignoring that you called me a plot device, what can I get the Princess and her mare tonight? I don’t have access to any of those fancy royalty drinks since that's way above my price range.” “I’ll take some Applejack Daniels and a Twisted Mare for my beautiful companion.” “I can handle more than just a Twisted Mare, my love. Don’t start treating me like a fragile princess. You of all pon-  people should know what I’m capable of doing.” “And I surely don't want the pony who can control the sun seeing her drunken sister waddle about the castle with a hangover. Sorry Luna but rules be rules.” As Moonshine departed to retrieve the drinks, Lickity finally asked a question that was eating her on the inside. "Soo… Who made the first move? Which of you had the confidence to confess? Tell me pretty please? I'm dying to know.” You and Luna glance between one another before she takes the initiative. “Twas I who asked him to be mine. I was getting anxious after overhearing other mares becoming interested in him. So I summoned him to my quarters and poured out all of my feelings which led him to accept my proposal of being my coltfriend.” Lickity and Astral took a moment to whisper quietly between one another. After separating, they burst into a fit of laughter that could even rival Pinkie Pie herself. “May I ask what is so funny?” Luna said with a tilted head. Lickity let out a long sigh. “Princess, the entire castle staff knew about your crush on him. It was pretty obvious.” “Yeah we all figured it out after about a month” Astral included. “The royal guard and maids were even making bets to see who would crack first. The two of you spent so much time together already so it was bound to happen. We were so tempted to get involved but decided to let fate run its course.” “Speaking of bets, it would seem you owe me 50 bits. “ Lickity gently nudges Astra’s withers. “Does paying for this night out count? You already know how old man Moonshine treats me. Don't want my own marefriend hopping on my case either." “I’ll let it slide this time, but you better pay up next time we bet on someponies love life. I already know a way you can pay me back if you play your cards right loverboy.” Lickity commented with a wink. As the flirting couple continued to spew out all sorts of innuendos, your eyes drifted back over towards Luna. She stared at you and poked your thigh but never said anything. “Something wrong Luna? “You ask with a hint of concern in your voice. “I was just wondering when we will speak to one another like those two. It seems like a way to bond between one another that I'd like to try.” Luna responded. Scratching your head nervously upon her request you respond. “I wasn’t in too many relationships back home but I can give it a shot. Uhh… is that a moon on your flank or are you just happy to see me?” Laughter broke out from your partner as your attempt at flirting went down hill immediately. After a moment of catching her breath, she finally was able to speak yet again. “You gave it a valiant effort so I commend you for at least trying.” "Hey! I’d like to see you come up with a compliment to the co-ruler of a county on the fly. Hell, after all the compliments she’s gotten over the years I'm sure I wouldn't be able to come up with something she hasn't heard before.” You replied with a hint of pain in your voice. "If my knowledge does not deceive me back when we were in my chambers we had a little moment we both were quite into it." Luna added. "But you asked me to do it in the heat of the moment. Guess I'm better at giving compliments when we are alone instead of in public." As history loves to repeat itself, another rag slaps you on the face bringing your attention to the old stallion who threw it at you. "Here's your drinks scum of Tartarus and his Princess. Luna, I made sure to give you something that isn't weak like your boy toy over here suggested." "Why thank you Sir Moonshine, it would seem some stallions know what a mare wants." Luna said smirking at him Throwing yourself upon the ground dramatically, you entered acting mode. "Do my ears deceive me, my own marefriend already cheating on me. It hasn't even been a whole day and her heart has found another. Whatever shall become of my fragile heart. Why does the Mistress of Fate forsaken me so in my time of happiness." A tan hoof to the chest stopped your little show. "No need to be such a drama queen. I'm too old for her as it is and I'm married. Take my advice though kid, better listen to what she has to say. Thirty years of marriage and the biggest lesson ive learned is the mare is always right. Now y'all take care, I got to get back to work." Lickity's curiosity peaked yet again after the little engagement between you and Moonshine. "Alright then I have another question for the two of you. Y'all gonna get down and dirty once your back in the castle?" You and Luna spit out your drinks from her unorthodox question. "What? Did I say something wrong. Astral and I got busy the after our first date. For a guard he really knows how to use those hips. Princess mind letting me in on that training, my sex game could grow with hip movement like that." ....... Not a word was uttered. The table was completely silent, all eyes were on Lickity after her comment. Nopony or even yourself knew how to react in the slightest. Astral's jaw looked like it unhinged itself nearly slapping against the table, while Luna just sat there with her forelegs covering her face hiding the deep blush on that laid underneath. "Said a little too much didn't I. Never really knew how to keep it simple but that's what makes me the pony I am and why Astral loves me so." "... Anyway to answer no we haven't. I'm might be a man but even I know not to rush into that. Luna might be a beautiful mare and I've known her for a while but even I know not to rush into things like that." You said trying to keep your composure. "If it makes you feel any better we didn't. Somepony thought she could be funny and it clearly didn't work." Astral added. You go into a hoof bump with your good friend. "This is why we are friends Ass. Always keeping things real with me no matter what." "The two of you get along quite nicely. I'm happy to know that I have coltfriend who has such a reliable friend to count on." Looking over at a nearby clock you saw that it was approaching 1 A.M. “Guess it’s about time we head out... Don’t want to keep you out too late and get sent to the dungeon by your sister. We all know what happened the last time I was late, never again.” A chill crept up your spine recalling the memory. You never knew a chocolate cake could be used as a dangerous projectile if need be. Lickity sauntered over to Luna and gave her a hug. “Bye you two, don’t do anything we wouldn’t do, and if you do, make sure to go over the top with it. " “And between you and I princess it would be great to have someone to talk about mare stuff with. Sure Astral is a great lover but he wouldn't understand mare talk.” She said in a hushed tone that you couldn't make out. The two mares shared a giggle before departing for the night. The return trip was silent and uneventful. The streets of Canterlot began dying down since the early morning hours would soon begin. The Lunar guard was actively patrolling the streets escorting drunken ponies to their homes before sunrise. The long corridors of the castle were illuminated by Luna’s moon giving it an eerily calm feeling. The blinding gold trim of the day became a dull shimmer during the night but didn’t take away any of the beauty of the castle's interior. Your footsteps were the only sounds present but a certain someponies hoofsteps were absent.  Glancing backwards you notice that your newfound lover became a sentinel at a nearby window. Her eyes were glued onto the moon, the very place she loved and was subjected to be her own prison. You knew she still felt the guilt of what she's done and it was still weighing down on her.  “Luna, it’s time to move one from the past. Sure you and Nightmare Moon were two halves of a whole, but now it’s all you. Take me for an example, dragged into a new world without any way to make it back. I had to cope with knowing everything I had was lost but I’ve accepted that being here is a new chapter of life. Now look, I have such great friends, and even a princess to call my own. I’ll always want to get back to Earth but this is my home now and I’m here to stay.” "But how could I forget the atrocities I've committed? Somepony like myself shouldn’t be allowed to atone for her past transgressions. I almost killed my own sister just because of my jealousy.” Tears slowly began to form in her eyes. Wiping the tears from her face you recall the two words that got even a king through his toughest of times. “You don’t have to forget. Painful memories can help motivate you to become better than ever before. Just remember Hakuna Matata.” “Hakuna Matata?” Luna giggled. Seems like quite a peculiar phrase if you ask me.” “It means no worries for the rest of your days. You don't need to worry about what has been done. It's time to look forward to a better future. You have your sister, Twilight and her friends, and even me to be there for you." As you began to walk away from her door, you felt a small tug on the back of your shirt. Luna’s magic held you firmly, preventing you from leaving.  She was mumbling something under her breath but it wasn’t audible at all. Her eyes darted back and forth between you and the ground.  You wondered what was going through her mind until a soft sensation upon your lips.  She kissed you. She kept her eyes closed and the blush on her cheeks grew even stronger. Knowing it took all of her courage to do what she did, you fell victim to the soft lips of the pony princess and melted into her kiss. Kissing a pony really didn't feel that much different than a human rather than the mouth size and the fuzziness of her fur. It slowly became a feeling that you would grow attached to. Breaking apart to take a breath you notice everything about Luna was different now. She seemed much brighter then ever before after the kiss. It was like a whole new aura encompassed her entire being and you were proud to know the catalyst of her change. "Tia was right, I do love you. Thank you for being there for me. I enjoyed our little night out and can't wait for the next. I'm happy to call you my own, now go forth and sleep. Looking out of a nearby window the moon crept out from behind the clouds. "Goodnight Luna." You whisper before walking away. A lingering thought took over your mind. She tasted like blueberries.
