> Pokémon Showdown: Fair and Balanced > by PPEF1 > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- > Chapter 1: Team Preview > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- Sunset hopped on her computer opening the Pokémon battle simulator, Pokémon Showdown. She clicked onto Teambuilder which sent her to a page full of teams she’d created. One of the teams that caught her eye was the one titled “2nd Team”, right under her main team. That team consisted of Donphan, Manectric, Togekiss, Roserade, Araquanid, and Malamar. “You know, I don’t think Malamar has been very good lately,” said Sunset. “I mean, Contrary Superpower is pretty good, but Malamar can’t really pull that off as it’s kinda weak and slow to do so.” Sunset had made up her mind and decided to delete Malamar off the team. She then thought to herself of what could be a good replacement. Since my only physical attackers are slow, and I do need a Dark-type to stop Prankster Pokémon, I guess a Pokémon like Drapion wouldn’t hurt. The bacon-haired girl added Drapion to her team, giving it a set that she thought would work best with it. “I guess I could record this and upload it to YouTube. It would be kinda fun.” Sunset opened up her screen recorder which was showing her completed second team and pressed record. “Hey everyone, it’s me Sunset. And welcome back to another Pokémon Showdown video. So on screen here we have a team with Donphan holding Heavy-Duty Boots with the moves Stealth Rock, Rapid Spin, Earthquake and Ice Shard. Next is Manectric holding the Manectite with the moves Thunderbolt, Volt Switch, Flamethrower, and Hidden Power Ice. Up next is Roserade holding Black Sludge with Toxic, Sludge Bomb, Giga Drain, and Hidden Power Fire as Roserade has hard times with Steel-type Pokémon like Scizor and Ferrothorn.” “Then we have Araquanid holding Splash Plate with Sticky Web, Leech Life, Liquidation, and Magic Coat as there really isn’t much to do with this thing. Then there’s Togekiss and I’m pretty sure this set is self explanatory and finally is Drapion, which fun fact, used to be Malamar but I decided to take it out as Malamar hasn’t really performed that well. Anyways, Drapion is holding Scope Lens with the ability Sniper to boost our crit chance especially with moves like Cross Poison and Night Slash, two moves perfect for it. The other moves are just Fell Stinger and Agility.” “Now obviously, this team isn’t the best but it isn’t the worst. So let's head into a battle.” > Chapter 2: Cr1TiKaL H1t Dr4P10n > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- Sunset was now in a battle. Her opponent had Zygarde, Xerneas, Blaziken, Dusk Mane Necrozma, White Kyurem and Starly. “I’m gonna assume that this guy is gonna lead with Starly to Endeavor then Quick Attack so really, it doesn’t matter who I lead with. I’ll just go into Araquanid.” Araquanid and Starly were sent out into the battlefield. Sunset, knowing that Starly was going to use Endeavor, went for Sticky Web. Starly used Endeavor and failed. “Now I could save Araquanid for Blaziken but it’s not really a good match for the rest of his team so I’ll just sack it off.” Araquanid used Liquidation dealing 99% to Starly which hung on with its Focus Sash. Next turn, Starly took out Araquanid with Quick Attack. “Alright, now with that over with, let’s try out using Drapion and use Fell Stinger.” Sunset did just that. Drapion took out Starly and got to plus three physical attack thanks to Fell Stinger. Her opponent then sent out White Kyurem. Kyurem went for Ice Burn but since it’s a two turn move and it wasn’t holding a Power Herb, Kyurem had to charge first turn. Drapion used Cross Poison, getting a critical hit KOing Kyurem. “Nice!” Sunset was proud with the satisfying knockout. Blaziken was then sent out. “I’m gonna assume he’s gonna use Protect or Substitute so I’ll just use Agility.” Drapion used Agility while Blaziken Mega Evolved using Swords Dance. Blaziken was now at plus one speed with Speed Boost. “Good thing I went for Agility.” Drapion used Cross Poison again, dealing 100% to Blaziken without a critical hit. Her opponent then forfeited, winning Sunset the battle. “Holy crap he forfeited! Damn Drapion’s pretty good once it gets going. Let’s do another battle.” *** The next battle, Sunset’s opponent was again, full of legendaries except for Gengar. “Jesus Christ, again with the legendaries? Well anyways, I think I’ll go Manectric just so I could Volt Switch into someone else.” Sunset sent out Manectric while her opponent went into Ho-Oh. “Alright cool I sent out the right Pokémon, though I don’t think Thunderbolt will kill here. We can let Manectric take a hit as it might carry Earthquake and Mega Manectric has Intimidate.” Sunset Mega Evolved Manectric and went for Thunderbolt dealing 58% damage. Ho-Oh used Earthquake but thanks to Intimidate, it only 61% damage. Sunset decided to use Volt Switch KOing Ho-Oh then switched into Drapion. Sunset’s opponent sent out Darkrai. Darkrai used Dark Void but missed. Drapion used Agility getting plus two speed. “Thank God that missed,” Sunset said while also letting out a sigh of relief. Drapion used Cross Poison dealing 34% to Darkrai. Darkrai used Focus Blast doing 60% to Drapion. Darkrai then gained a little bit of health from Leftovers. “Crit please,” prayed the bacon-haired girl. Her wish was granted. Drapion KOed Darkrai with a critical hit Fell Stinger getting the plus three attack. “Yes!” Sunset then proceeded to sweep the rest of her opponents team with Drapion’s Cross Poison and Night Slash. “Daaaayum, Drapion’s a beast. You know what? Let’s do one more battle.” > Chapter 3: Hax > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- In the final battle, Sunset’s opponent’s team was thankfully not a legendary spammer as the only one was Jirachi and Volcanion. The rest of the team consisted of Azumarill, Rapidash, Sceptile and Electivire. “I think we can still lead Araquanid to set up webs.” The bacon-haired girl sent out Araquanid while her opponent sent out Sceptile. The opposing Sceptile Mega Evolved and went for Energy Ball dealing 37% while Araquanid went for Sticky Web. “He’s gonna go for Energy Ball again so I’ll switch to Togekiss.” Sunset withdrew Araquanid for Togekiss and predicted the upcoming attack from Sceptile which dealt only 23% to Togekiss. Togekiss then healed a little from Leftovers. Next turn Sceptile was withdrawn for Jirachi while Togekiss went for Air Slash dealing only 13%. “So it’s not Leftovers. Should I switch into Donphan or Drapion? Maybe Drapion.” Togekiss was switched with Drapion while Jirachi went for Ice Punch dealing 22%. “Good thing I swapped out Togekiss with Drapion and not Donphan. Kinda scared that it's gonna Iron Head me to death so I’ma see if I can get an Agility off and crit with Night Slash.” Jirachi, outspeeding Drapion, went for U-turn into Azumarill. Drapion successfully pulled off the Agility. “This thing is probably gonna use Belly Drum so I’ll just use Cross Poison. I’m faster anyway so a Cross Poison crit should KO from here. He might actually go for Aqua Jet here.” Drapion used Cross Poison, not getting the critical hit dealing 63 %. However, neither of Sunset’s predictions occurred as Azumarill didn’t go for Belly Drum or Aqua Jet and went for Play Rough dealing 44%. “Wait what? Why didn’t you…? Are you even Huge Power?” Risking Drapion’s longevity, Sunset clicked Fell Stinger getting the critical hit, knocking out Azumarill and getting the attack boost. “Yes! Alright, Drapion might be able to sweep again.” Her opponent sent out Electivire which got obliterated by Drapion’s Night Slash immediately. Rapidash was then sent out. Drapion went for Night Slash again getting a critical hit but the opposing Rapidash survived with a sliver on 1%. Rapidash then went for High Horsepower KOing Drapion. “Damn it! I got the minimum roll! That’s fine, I think Mega Manectric’s got this in the bag.” Manectric was sent in, Mega Evolving and KOing Rapidash. Her opponent then sent out Volcanion. Manectric went for Thunderbolt which barely did more than half of its health while Volcanion went for Earth Power dealing 85%. “WOW!! It took that Thunderbolt really well. Must be like max special defense or something.” Another Thunderbolt was able to knockout Volcanion. Sunset’s opponent sent out Jirachi. Manectric went for Flamethrower dealing 60% while Jirachi used Zen Headutt, KOing Manectric. “I think I should go into Donphan as I wanna preserve Togekiss and Roserade for Sceptile.” Donphan was sent into the battlefield. Jirachi went for Iron Head, flinching Donphan. “Really? Oh boy, uh, let's switch into Araquanid to absorb this Iron Head.” Donphan was switched with Araquanid and Jirachi, instead of going for Iron Head, went for U-turn, switching into Sceptile. “Wait, why did you switch into Sceptile? I guess we can sack off Araquanid but if we live it’s possible we KO with Leech Life.” The opposing Sceptile used Energy Ball dealing 37%. Araquanid, surviving on 6%, went for Leech Life KOing Sceptile. Araquanid gained 36% health back. “Oh cool we actually survived! I think we win this.” Jirachi was sent out. Sunset willingly let Araquanid fall to Zen Headbutt. “I honestly don’t know who to go into. Anyone could get flinched till they faint. I guess I’ll just go into Togekiss.” Togekiss was sent out. The opposing Jirachi used Ice Punch. “Don’t freeze.” It froze. “Thank you,” Sunset said sarcastically. “I LOVE JI-FUCKING-RACHI!!!!” Togekiss then fainted after an Iron Head. Sunset sent out Donphan. Jirachi went for Iron Head, and it flinched. “I hate this game.” Another Iron Head from Jirachi flinched. “I think this is how it ends. I know we still have Roserade but honestly, with what just happened now, I don’t think we stand a chance.” Jirachi used Iron Head again, but it didn’t flinch. Donphan successfully fired off the Earthquake, KOing Jirachi, winning her the game. “OH MY GOD YESS!!! GG YOU STUPID ASS FUCKING JIRACHI!!!” Sunset then let out a long sigh. “Well guys, this is a good point to end this video, so please like this video, subscribe, and all that good stuff and I’ll see you all next time. Bye everyone.”
