A new kid shows up during the week of Fall Formal

A new student from Philydelphia just moves in to Canterlot High during the week of Fall Formal. It doesn't take him long to know about Sunset Shimmer who everyone is afraid of. The latter who won Fall Formal Princess three years in a row due to fear if someone voted no. But it looks like he's not the only new one at school because at that same time, another girl also happened to be new and by the looks of it. She's planning to run for Princess against Sunset. Will he be able to help her win?

Meeting new people (and bullies)

View Online

The hallways of this new highschool were a sight to look at. Not that they were any different from his old school but he defintley notices that the school put quite a bit of effort into the designs. Lance Ace was wondering the halls. He had just moved to Canterlot a few days ago when his mom got a job as an accountant for Canterlot's National Bank. His father also worked as an accountant too. This was his first day at Canterlot High and he didn't know anyone at all. That was until a teen boy approached him with a charming smile and introduced himself. He was gray skinned with black hair. He wore a collard white t-shirt with a pair of jeans and tennis shoes. Lance noticed his hair also seemed to be neatly combed.

"Hey there, you the new kid?" the boy asked smiling.

"Yeah," Lance said feeling a bit awkward. While he did make a few friends back in his old school, he was still awkward when it comes to meeting new people. At the very least he could say his name. "I'm Lance. Lance Ace."

The other boy extended his hand and Lance shook it. "Name's Score. I'm Canterlot's body President. It's a pleasure to make your acquaintance. Principal Celestia usually asks me to give tours to new students. So how about a tour eh?"

"Why not. This school does seem pretty huge." Lance shrugged

"It won't feel like it once you know it like the back of your hand like I do," Score laughed. "Come on!" He began to lead Lance on a tour. "This right here is the library." He said gesturing towards the entryway. It's primary purpose is for study halls but sometimes it can be used for projects and other research."

"Lot of people," Lance commented.

"Yeah, but it is a nice place to just relax. I do it almost all the time. You know High School is a lot of work," Score chuckled.

Lance couldn't help but chuckle too. "Tell me about it. My old school gave so much homework. And I didn't even take any advance courses."

"Must have been a prestigious one. Anyway these are the computers right here." Score continued gesturing towards the computers. "They're only supposed to be for research purposes but there are a few who used it for...inappropriate things."

Lance stiffled a laugh. "Wait are you serious?"

"Yeah. It might seem funny but you won't be laughing when you get caught doing it so...just don't do it okay?"

"Don't worry. I won't do it. I don't think I'll even have time anyways."

Score continued to show Lance the rest of the library. The sections and the process of checking out and returning books.

When they got out of the library, Score decided to ask him a few things. "So you made alot of friends back in your old school?"

"A few. I'm not exactly the total extrovert but I do have enough to not be totally alone. We still keep in touch when we play a round of Equestrian Warfare." Lance ssid

"Nice. Well I'm sure you'll make new friends here too."

As they continued to walk down the hallway, they heard some sort of commotion around the corner.

"Please let me go! I have to get to class!" Pleaded a girls voice. Score and Lance saw a girl being cornered by a bully. Also another girl. The one being cornered had pale yellow skin with pink hair. She wore a green skirt with a white tank top and green boots. The one who cornered her had short white hair, wore a brown jacket with ripped jeans and black boots. The bully grabbed the pink haired girl by the front of the shirt and gave her a hard backhand slap. The latter gave a yelp of pain as she fell on the floor. Tears started to leak down her cheeks as she sobbed.

The bully however didn't feel anymore remorse as she grabbed the crying girl again and and threatened her. "I don't wanna hear that crap! You had it and now you're saying you don't?!" She raised her fist.

"Please! I told you I turned it in. Why do you want it?! It's not even yours anyways!" The crying girl sniffed.

"We gotta do something!" Lance whispered to Score.

"Yeah but I think we should get the tour done first so,"

"Dude! We need to help now!" Lance hissed. He almost couldn't believe the very student president was almost bout o let someone get bullied. "The tour can wait!"

"Okay okay." Score said putting his hands up. "Just stay here and I'll go talk to her." He put his thumbs in his pockets and went towards where the two girls were.
"Gilda, how about you not be so rough, alright?" Lance was caught off guard about how calm he sounded. He didn't even sound angry.

The girl turned around taking off her attention from the other girl. Gilda let go as she looked at Score. She turned towards the girl and snarled. "You got lucky you hear me, cunt?!"

The girl nodded and whimpered as Gilda stomped away.

"What the...how did you?!-" Lance stammered as he joined Score. The latter only shrugged.

"Let's just say being the council president really makes people listen to you."

"I guess...but she didn't even threaten you..." Lance stammered.

"What can I say?" Score smugged. "I guess I have a special talent."

"Right..." Lance was unsure about Score now. It was almost like he would've turned a blind eye about this poor girl getting beaten. Speaking of her. He looked down and it seemed she was still shaken up after what Gilda had done. "Hey...Are you ok?" The girl sniffed and looked up.

"Yeah. I-I just never seen her so mad before. I can't believe you did that."

A warm smile was appeared on Score's face. "Come on. I wasn't about to let Gilda hurt you. Would I?"

Lance wanted to say something in objection but decided it was best to keep quiet, so he bit his lip and kept his mouth closed.

"Well thank you, Score." The girl smiled and looked at Lance. "And I don't think I ever saw you around before. Are you new here?"

"Oh yeah. Brand new here." Lance replied. "Name's Lance Ace. Everyone and everything here is brand new to me."

"Well it's very nice to meet you. I'm Fluttershy." she introduced herself in her usual kindness.

"You as well," Lance replied. "By the way, if you don't mind me asking...Do you know who that bully was? It seems like this wasn't your first encounter with her."

Fluttershy nodded. "Mhm. She's someone you do not want to mess with. If you're unfortunate to get subjected to her tormenting, she can make your life a living hell. She's a sadistic bully who takes so much joy in hurting others...a-and then when she hurts someone, I don't mean like a few bruises here and there. She sends people to the ER!" Fluttershy whimpered as her lips started to quiver just thinking about how she too could've almost ended up at the hospital.

Score nodded in agreement. "It's true. Gilda's a psycho," but Lance notice the tone in his voice. It wasn't fearful like Fluttershy's. Rather it was calm, like Score knows about Gilda for a long time but just doesn't care. As if having a psycopathic bully was as normal as taking a stroll in the park.

"So she just targets everyone because she's a bully?" Lance asked.

"Well today, I was her target because I actually made her mad. I turned in something that she needed. And now she's angry at me because she tells me she needs it to give to Sunset Shimmer."

"Sunset Shimmer? Who's she?"

"She's like the only one Gilda answers to. She makes all our lives miserable and rules this High School with an iron fist. No one dares to stand up to her. Not even Gilda would dare. Then there's Garble. Another one of this school's worst bullies. He's really cruel and would do anything to make anyone's life miserable on Sunset's orders." The bell rang for class and Fluttershy decided to leave. "Well it was really nice meeting you, but I gotta go to class." She smiled as she waved bye.

"How about we continue with the tour, eh?" Score smiled. "And then you can get your schedule."

"Alright," Lance agreed." The two continued their tour with Score showing Lance the cafeteria, hallways, the upstair classrooms. The last place he showed Lance was the gymnaiusm. Lance noticed it was decorated for what appears to be a dance.

"Oh yeah I forgot to mention in a couple days we're going to have the Fall Formal. It's sort of like a dance at our school." Score informed Lance. "I'm actually going to help plan the event along with the head of the Party Planning Comitee later today."

"So it's like homecoming," Lance assumed.

"Yeah, something like that," Score agreed. "We elect a princess of Fall Formal each year. We cast a vote and the girl with the most votes win. Anyway, I think you should probably head on over and get your schedule." He pointed down the hallway. "Third door on the right, is where the Principal's office is."

"Alright, thanks for the tour, Score."

"Hey, don't mention it." Score replied with a smile. Suddenly his tone became serious as his smile faded away. "Now you be careful, this school isn't exactly a friendly place." Then his smile returned. "But you'll be fine."

Lance wasn't sure how to feel but notheless he waved goodbye and left for the office."

Little did Score know, Lance wasn't the only new student. There was also a new girl who plans to get the same crown Sunset Shimmer wants.

The new girl in school

Twilight Sparkle looked around in amazement at her surroundings. Sure it was just a regular old high school but for someone who's never been in a world like this, even the most mundane things can seem exciting.

"Wow Spike, this castle doesn't look anything like back in Equestria!" She whispered. "Do you think this is where Sunset took my crown?" Just last night, her crown had been stolen by Princess Celestia's ex-pupil Sunset Shimmer with the intent of gaining its magic. Of course, all the mane 6 wanted to go together but this was one where Twilight must go alone...Well not exactly seeing as she had Spike with her.

"I'll say more than likely," Spike replied. He whispered in Twilight's ear, "Why don't we ask that dude over there?"

Twilight turned her attention towards a boy who was walking somewhere and waved toward him to get his attention. "Hi! Excuse me?" She called out hoping he would see her. Lucky for her, he did as he now had his attention on her.

"Uh yeah? What's up?"

"Ok so, you can call me crazy but have you happened to see like any crown...anywhere?" Twilight chuckled, wondering if this boy would think she was crazy. To her surprise, he didn't seem to think that at all.

"Nope, sorry. I'm brand new here so everything is all news to me hehe...I'm Lance by the way," He smiled holding a peace sign. Twilight returned the smile and introduced herself as well.

"I'm Twilight Sparkle and I'm also new here."

"Oh, so you just moved from another school?"

"Not exactly, I came from-," Twilight was about to say she came from a pony world but quickly realized he would have never believed her so she made something up instead. "I come from Filydelphia," The boy's interest seemed to grow.

"Really? I also moved from Filyadelphia too. Though I didn't see you at my old school." He was starting to get a bit suspicious but figured he shouldn't jump to any conclusions too fast.

"Oh right! Because I was homeschooled." Twilight said scratching the back of her head.

"Oh ok. Got it. That makes a lot more sense now. Well, I think I better get going now. Nice knowing you!" Lance said as he continued on his way. Twilight waved bye and Spike popped his head out of her bag.

"Maybe we should ask someone else. Someone who's been here for a while," he suggested. Twilight nodded but who was she going to ask?...No one? They would just think she was crazy. No one would believe she is a pony princess from another world! That would get her thrown in the white room!

"Spike I think I'm going to have to think of something new. If I continue asking people and telling them why they'll think I'm crazy!"

Spike sighed. "Alright, but we still need to ask someone where we are at least." He pointed to two girls walking down the hallway. The one on the left had dark pink poofy hair and light pink skin. She wore a blue skirt with a cyan blue short sleeve jacket and a white shirt with a heart in the middle. The one on the right had pale light purple skin had streaked cyan blue and purple hair. She wore a green short-sleeved t-shirt, grey jeans, and grey shoes with purple laces. She also wore a dark gray vest and sported a wristwatch on her right arm. The pink-haired girl could be seen talking excitedly to the other.

"Oh, you have to come to look! I just know it's going to look amazing!"

Twilight decided to ask these girls where she was. She hid Spike back in the bag and went up to the two girls. "Hi there...umm sorry to bother you but...can you girls tell me where I am-" She was cut off by the pink-haired girl suddenly zooming towards her and shaking her hand (and her whole body) at an incredibly fast speed. "Hi, there! My name is Pinkie Pie and it's very nice to meet you! I love meeting new people, making friends, and hanging out with friends! Oh and this is Starlight Glimmer. She's this school's body Vice President. Starlight gave a friendly smile and waved to Twilight.

"So you're new here is that right?"

"Yes I am, and I was wondering if you know where I am," Twilight said.

"You're in Canterlot High School. I'm assuming you just moved here today." Twilight responded with a nod. Starlight seemed to think for a moment before she said, "Since you're new, how about you come with us to the gym?" she suggested

"Ok then," Twilight said. She followed the two inside the gym and the first thing she noticed was how well it was decorated. The walls were lined with streamers, tables filled the perimeter with bottles of fizzy apple cider, balloons of all colors scattered throughout the gym, and in the center of the ceiling was a big disco ball. "Wow. This looks amazing!" Twilight gasped. Starlight giggled.

"Pinkie here is the one who made it all possible."

"Awww it was nothing!" Pinkie giggled. "The drinks weren't mine though, but I hope Score likes it."

"Who's Score?" Twilight asked.

"Oh, he's the Canterlot's Body President. He was supposed to check on Pinkie's decorations today but he texted me and asked if I could do it. He had some sort of urgent crisis to take care of," Starlight explained. "But he's a great guy. Almost everyone likes him, even some of our most strict teachers do." She looked around the gym. "And everything looks great, Pinkie. Love how much effort you put in here." She took out her phone and took a few pictures of the gym. "I'll send these to Score later."

"So what is this for?" Twilight asked.

"It's for the Fall Formal. Usually every year we elect a female student as a Fall Formal Princess and she wins the crown." Starlight explained. She then frowned and Twilight noticed this.

"I'm sorry, was it something I said?"

"Oh no, it's not you it's just that every year there's this mean girl who wins because everyone is afraid of her."

Pinkie gasps. "You don't mean Sunset Shimmer!"

"Sunset Shimmer?" Twilight repeats. Starlight and Pinkie looked at her.

"You seem like you know her?" Pinkie asked.

"Well, sort. It's a bit complicated but...she's the one who won all previous titles?"

Starlight nodded. "She's an entitled bully who thinks she's above everyone else," she said with a bit of annoyance. "By the time she reached a junior year, no one wanted to run against her. They were too afraid she was going to do something awful to them."

"But can I still try out to run?" Twilight asked. "I mean it can't be that hard to beat her right?"

"Ehhhh I don't know. If you think you can beat her. Otherwise, she'll just humiliate you and make your life awful."

Just then, the door to the gymnasium swung open and two girls walked in. The one who did not look happy was tan-skinned and had red and yellow streaked hair. She sported a black leather jacket, gray boots with purple designs on them, a purple shirt with a sun symbol on the front, and wore an orange skirt with a single yellow and purple stripe. The other girl was also tan-skinned, but unlike the other one, she had freckles. Her hair was yellow and she donned a light brown stetson hat. She wore a green and white collared shirt, a blue jean skirt, and brown boots with a design of three apples on them. The first girl who was not happy pointed towards the table with the drinks on it.

"Speak of the devil," Starlight muttered under her breath.

"AppleJack look at this and tell me what the fuck is wrong with this picture?" The girl snapped. The other one looked at the table and sighed.

"What is it, Sunset? What in the almighty universe could it be?" she said with an equal amount of annoyance.

Sunset threw her hands in the air. "Oh you don't see it?" She marched up to one of the bottles and shoved it in AppleJack's face. "What is this?"

"A bottle of Fizzy Apple Cide," AppleJack said flatly.

"This!" Sunset began to say, "Is supposed to be my coronation! Not a hoedown!" Sunset snapped. AppleJack got angry and pointed a finger at her.

"Well I'm sorry if it aint to your liking, Miss High and Mighty but you don't get to decide what changes can be made!"

Starlight put her hands on her hips and gave Sunset a dirty look. "Last time I checked. Score and I are the only ones who can make changes to the dance."

It hasn't even been five minutes and Twilight could see what kind of person Sunset was. She was about to say something but Sunset had turned her attention to her first and smirked.

"Well who might you be?" She got a little too close for Twilight's comfort. "Whoever you are I'd be smart if I were you and stay out of my way got it?!" She threatened. Twilight wasn't liking the way Sunset was talking to her so she came up with a retort answer.

"And what if I don't?" she asked back. Sunset gave a mocking gasp and stepped back.

"Well if you don't, let's just say you might regret it. This is obviously going to be my coronation. I'm running unopposed!"

"I'll run against you." Twilight suddenly said. AJ and Starlight gasped. Pinkie looked like she was about to faint. Sunset rounded on Twilight and looked enraged.

"What the hell did you say?!" She screamed.

"You heard me! I'm going to run against you!" Twilight snapped. Sunset closed her mouth but then forced a smile.

"Fine. You can try to beat me, but if you lose you will never live it down!" She stormed out of the gym leaving the girls alone. Pinkie was the first to say something.

"Did you just-"

"Yeah, I think she did," AJ said. She turned to Twilight. "Name's AppleJack by the way and you are.."

"Twilight Sparkle," The former pony answered.

"Well, Twilight I don't mean to burst your bubble but when you're running against Sunset Shimmer, you're not just dealing with her. She's got a whole hella lot of followers willing to do whatever it takes to make sure she get what she wants!"

"Ooooh oooh I know them all!" Pinkie said excitedly. "There's Trixie, Gilda, Garble, Dumbell, Hoops, Diamond Tiara, Silver Spoon, Snips and Snails!"

"That is quite alot." Twilight said starting to feel a little nervous.

"Oh and I almost forgot, there's also one called "The Alpha!"

Starlight nodded in agreement. "He's Sunset's number one. No one knows who he is except for Sunset, Trixie, Garble, and Gilda. Speaking of those five, they're the only ones who you really need to watch out for. The other bullies aren't really a problem as long as you can outsmart them." she explained.

"Twilight, are you sure you want to do this?" AJ asked with a bit of concern. "I know it's your first day but you have no idea what happens if anyone tries to run against Sunset."

Twilight nodded. "I have to."

Pinkie bit her lip and darted her eyes to Starlight, AJ, and to Twilight. She gave a great sigh and fished something from her pink hair. A paper clipboard with paper on it and a pen. "Just sign here and you're official a contestant for the Fall Formal Princess!"

Twilight looked at the Pen and her pony instincts kicked in. She grabbed the pen in her mouth but quickly realized that wasn't the proper way. She then used her hands, which she still wasn't acusstomed to yet and tried her best to write her name. The word was supposed to be "Twilight" but when she was finished it looked nothing like the word. Pinkie seemed to confirm.

"Wow! Your handwriting is really awful! But no worries I've seen worse!" She said joyfully. "Well good luck, Twilight. You're going to need it."

"Yes. You're going to need a lot of luck." AJ agreed and Starlight nodded.

The Great and Authoritive Tr-r-r-r-rxie!

Gilda stomped through the hallways towards the Library. She was clearly angry about what happened. That fluttercunt thinks she can get away with giving away that crown?! Nah Ima show her!. In the Library, she went up to one of the study rooms. Though it was supposed to be a place for "studying", it was really a place to discuss plans to help Sunset win the crown. Every vile and cruel plan was made in the study room. It was also sound-proof so no one from the outside could hear what was going on. Gilda opened the door and a light-blue skinned girl was sitting at the table inside talking on the phone. She had white hair and wore a blue jacket with a purple skirt and blue tennis shoes. At first she didn't notice Gilda come in as she was still talking on the phone.

"Yeah, I know I'll make sure it happens. Don't worry." She replied back to whoever she was speaking to. She put down her phone and now noticed Gilda. She gave the bully a dirty look and spoke to her in a condenscending tone. " The great and powerful Tr-r-r-r-rixie hopes you have some good news for her, Gilda."

Gilda sighed. "The crown...Fluttershy took and gave it away." Trixie was Gilda and Garble's immediate leader just like how Gilda is Hoops and Dumbell's leader. "I really don't get why we need to-"

Trixie slammed her fist on the table. Her face contorted with anger "And you didn't do anything to stop her? The most feared bully Gilda too afraid to get Fluttershy to cough up a stupid crown!" She pointed a finger at Gilda's chest. "You know what you are? An incompetent retard that's what you are!"

Gilda got angry now but she couldn't do anything. All she could do was bite her lip and stand there as Trixie was having a cow. "Not like you do anything else, whore." She muttered but Trixie heard her.

"Oh you're saying I don't do anything? If I didn't do anything, you think I would be where I am right now? Why can't you be like Garble? He's competent unlike you and he doesn't complain like a little bitch!"
In Gilda's mind, she wanted to say You only like him because he licks your pussy 24/7 and you're only above me because you kiss Sunset's ass pretty much all the time. but all she did was roll her eyes. Trixie still wasn't done. "You wanna know why I put you in charge? Because the Alpha insisted that you were a good lead but I guess clearly not if you can't even get a crown back! A fucking simple task!"

Gilda was not having anymore and lashed back. "Why do we even need that fucking crown anyway? And all you do is sit on your ass all day!"

"Watch how you talk to me, Gilda! Don't forget who's in charge of you! Sunset really needs that crown for reasons I had sworn to never tell except the Alpha, so I need you to get your shit together and get that crown back do I make myself clear?!"

Gilda stormed out of the room and didn't bother to gently close the door behind her. She approached two boys. One was light-brown skinned and had dark-brown hair. He wore a grey athletic t-shirt and shorts with a pair of black tennis shoes. His name was Hoops. The other was dark-grayish brown skinned with amberish grey hair. The other boy named Dumbell, sported a red jacket and a pair of jeans and tennis shoes.

"Hoops! Dumbell!" Gilda barked. The two boys jumped a little at being addressed so sharply but when they saw the look on her face, they knew she wasn't going to be all happy. Though she was never really happy anyways, except the times when she hurts anyone.

"Yeah, Gilda what's up?" Hoops asked.

"Were you able to get that crown back?" She had already guessed the answer but just had to hear it.

"No, I think the only way to get it is if Sunset wins it back," Hoops said. Gilda rubbed her temple with her fingers and cursed under her breath.

"Well that's just fan-fucking-tastic! I need you and the others to get that crown back win it or not I don't care! Trixie is really getting on my nerves right now and I'M GONNA BE SO PISSED OFF IF TRIXIE GETS ON MY ASS ONE MORE TIME!"

"Of course, we'll make sure we'll get that crown," Hoops quickly replied as Dumbell nodded in agreement. Gilda took a few deep breaths to calm herself down and asked, "And where is Garble?"

"He's in the Cafeteria collecting all the student's money. It's that time of week again."

Inside the Cafeteria, Lance had met Flash and his friends and was sitting at the table with them. Apparently Microchips was the first person Lance met who had a 107 average in all his classes. Something he never thought was possible. As they were eating, Lance noticed Fluttershy sitting alone at a table. Lance felt a bit bad because he knew when it was his first day, he had no one to sit with. Fortunatley, or rather unfortunatley for her, a boy came over towards her. He was dark red skinned and had yellow hair. He had on a black jacket and jeans plus a pair of athletic tennis shoes. He approach Fluttershy and even though Lance and his lunchmates were decently far away, they could hear every word the boy is saying.

Fluttershy tried her best to ignore the boy but he approached her with a shark grin on his face. He then held out his hand like he was expecting a payment of some sort. "You know what time it is, Fluttershy?" He asked codly. Fluttershy looked down.

"I-I don't have it," she said barely above a whisper. The boy made a sarcastic laugh.

"Oh um, I'm sorry but didn't I warn you a few days prior that every Thursday is when you need to turn in five bucks?"

Fluttershy started to whimper. "I-I-I'm sorry. I promise I'll bring it it next time just please leave me alone!"

The boy grabbed Fluttershy by the hair with one hand and with the other, threw her lunch tray at her face creating a mess all over her shirt and face. He violently shoved her onto the floor and landed a really hard kick to her sides. Fluttershy started to cry even harder. Something Lance did not fail to notice. Seeing how this poor girl was treated made him extremely pissed. He could hear the boy's sadistic laughter. "You really picked the wrong time to forget huh? Oh you're crying? boohoo! First you take something that isn't yours and now you forget to pay up!" he snapped harshly.

"I'm really sorry! Please just leave me alone I promise I'll bring the money next ti-" the boy grabbed her by the hair making her yelp and snarled,

"Sorry...does...not cut it, Fluttercunt!" He looked around the entire cafeteria and everyone had been watching. "Was there anyone else who forgot?!" Everyone else shook their heads and frantically dug through their backpacks for their five dollar bills just for this occasion.

"What the actually hell is wrong with you!" Lance hollered across the room. "How depress do you have to be to pick on an innocent girl?!"

Everyone in the cafeteria went silent and the boy turned his head over to Lance. He let go of Fluttershy and walked towards him. "Well who might you be? A newbie perhaps?" he chuckled. "Boy I remember my first day here. Always wanting to be the hero am I right? Who might you be? Her boyfriend?" he taunted. Lance's face went red and he started to get more pissed off.

"Shut your mouth, dipshit!"

The boy made a fake gasp. "Oh my, you do have anger issues. Isn't that shocking?" He then smiled at him and said, "Do you know who I am? Since you're new here let me introduce myself: Name's Garble. If there's one thing I've learned is that fear keeps everyone in line and respects you."

"They fear you yeah, but they certainly don't respect you for taking other people's money," Lance said coldly. Garble put his hands in the air.

"Hey, this was not my idea. If you have a problem you can talk to Trixie about it. I'm sure she would be very happy to respond to your request." he said. "And since it's your first day, you get a free pass for today." He marched over to Fluttershy and picked her up by the front of her shirt. Tear tracks were clearly visible as she looked at him in fear. "And as for you, Klutzershy. Next week you owe me ten dollars or else I'll have Gilda go after you won't that be fun?"

Fluttershy nodded. "I p-p-promise." she cried. Garble's phone rang and he saw Trixie was calling him. He decided answering his phone was more important so he finally left Fluttershy alone (though not for the last time) and answered. He stepped out on the hallways and waited for a few seconds to take a breath and speak. Lance quickly ran over to Fluttershy and helped her up. She was still shaky over that terrifying encounter so he figured talking in a gentle voice would help calm her down.

"Hey I'm really sorry about what happened. Are you okay?" he asked.

"I'm fine. I just forgot my money and-and," Fluttershy sniffed.

"Hey you don't owe that asshole anything. He's just a sadistic bully who's probably had a miserable existence."

"Why are you being so nice to me? I don't even know you at all." she continued to cry.

"I know what it's like to get bullied. Trust me it's not fun," Lance said with a smile. "Oh uh here i guess. If you want to buy a new lunch". He said fishing a twenty dollar bill from his pocket and handing it to her.

Fluttershy looked at it great fully and gave him a hug. He wasn't expecting that response thus his eyes briefly widened but nonetheless he hugged her back. After they broke apart Fluttershy looked at him,

"No one's ever been this nice to me besides Score," she said softly.

"You have to tell Principal Celestia about this," Lance told her. Fluttershy's shook her head.

"He almost never gets in trouble. And even if he does he always come back."

"Well we should at least let Score know. Maybe he'll do something about it."

"Score had said that he'll try to put a stop to it but nothing seems to be happening."

Okay that is a huge red flag Lance thought, but it might just be taking a bit of time..

Meanwhile Garble made sure that no one was around him when he answered the phone. Even then he spoke in a quiet tone.
"Yeah, Trixie what's up?"

"Good news for you, Garble. I'm putting you in charge of getting Sunset's crown back. The Alpha and I have decided that you were a better fit. We don't know why we didn't know any better but we realized you are more capapble than that fucking incompetent Gilda."

"Wow, thanks. Quite surprised honestly but Gilda is not going to be happy about this."

"I'm not surprised. Oh I'm going to have so much fun telling her!". Trixie said as she hung up.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

To say Gilda wasn't happy was an understatement. When Trixie had told her the news in person, Gilda had never been so angry before. "SO YOU'RE TELLING ME THAT YOU'RE PUTTING SOMEONE ABOVE ME JUST BECAUSE HE KISSES YOUR ASS?!"

Trixie sighed. "No Gilda! Trixie decided to put Garble in charge because unlike you he's more capable. Yeah you may be strong and violent but he actually has a brain that can work!"

"Oh really, well let's see how long he can last!" Gilda's face started to twitch in rage.

"About that, Gilda. If Trixie see's one bruise on Garble from you. I'll make sure you regret ever meeting me DO YOU UNDERSTAND?!"

"FINE! BUT IF HE FAILS YOU DON'T GO CRYING THAT YOUR PRECIOUS LAPDOG FAILED YOU!" Gilda screamed as she stomped away.
