Hey AJ,
Just moved into my new place. It’s pretty small but that’s what the apartments are like here. Trying out this new ‘magic message’ post thing. Don’t think it’s the same as old-fashioned pegasus mail but hey I guess it gets the job done seeing as they don’t have good coverage outside Equestria. Watch it though, they charge by the word!

Took me a while to figure out the system. Had to write each word in a separate box which I didn’t understand the first few times. I think I also prefer pegamail.
Getting used to having the farm all to myself. In the house, that is. In the orchard there’s all them farmhands I hired but it’s not the same compared to family and friends.
Let me know how the whole ‘flying instructor’ thing goes!

It’s been going great. You know, I kinda like being the centre of attention. Teaching is fun, and when I make mistakes they’re so green they don’t realise! It’s not as good as actually flying but Spitfire says it’ll be a goodbe good experience for me. Too bad it’s so far away from Ponyville, though! I miss the diet cupcakes at Sugarcube Corner.
Got any word from Mac and Applebloom? They settling in?

I’m not going to start the messages with ‘hey RD’ any more because I think this isn’t technically a letter? Also they make you pay by the word, like you said. Though I guess saying that cost me even more words, so… I guess I don’t get much chances to ramble.
Big Mac is settling in just fine. He’s with Sugar Belle miles away; they’re starting up their own small orchard that’s going to be used for Sugar’s baking stuff. Big Mac was a little vague about his exact plans.
Applebloom is in Filly studying cutie-marks with Scootaloo. I think Sweetie is in Canterlot. She’s also doing great! Better than me, ha ha.
Going a bit mad by myself; I’m used to there always being noise around in the house. Rarity’s on her way back in a few months, a bit after Hearths Warming, though, so I’ll be able to talk to somepony properly then.

You’ll get used to it. I love being alone sometimes! The quiet, being able to fart whenever I want, not having to tidy up, not worrying about embarrassing myself around family…
Up here there sometimes aren’t any other creatures around for miles. I like to fly up to the peaks and just sort of enjoy the silence. There aren’t even any birds! Just me.
Rarity staying at her old place?
Yeah, she’s staying at the Boutique. She never got rid of it, actually; it’s still open, even though she’s mostly living elsewhere now. Pinkie stopped leasing her apartment at the Corner though and you know, I don’t know what Fluttershy’s arrangement with her cottage actually was. I don’t remember her talking about renting or buying it or what?
I went and visited not long ago. A lot of the animals are still there; Hugger takes care of them now.
Been trying to make new friends in Ponyville but frankly I don’t know how well it’s going. You know I wasn’t exactly very good at connecting with ponies before you and the girls turned up. Used to be friends with Rarity when we were young but we drifted. It was just me and my family, and now they’re gone, so I have to learn all that again, I guess. Would like to find somepony to chat with who isn’t on the other side of Equestria.

Also, why’d you go to Fluttershy’s place? You know she’s not there. You know I also have no idea what the deal was with her cottage. Did she build it herself? That doesn’t sound right. She’s travelling with Discord now, right?
I’ve actually made a few friends here. There’s this weightlifter that I’ve been chatting with and we’ve been having drinks now and then. You’d like her! Very competitive. Couldn’t beat you in a footrace though I bet. All top, no legstop no legs, you know how it is, haha.
Happy to hear Rarity is heading back to visit. Just hold out until then!
I don’t think Fluttershy built that cottage, it looks older than she is. It must have belonged to somepony before she moved in. And yes, she’s somewhere with Discord. Nopony knows exactly, which is the sort of thing you’d expect when Discord is involved.
Will keep sane until Rarity comes by. Wish I could make friends as easily as you, apparently.

Sorry I didn’t reply for a while there, stuff came up. Wonderbolts were visiting so I temporarily joined the team again to participate in a race. We won though!
She’s great, we go to the gym together a lot and spot for each other. Different preferences; I’m more of an agility kind of mare and she’s more about lifting big weights. She’s actually looking to move to Equestria soon, now that Twilight’s been promoting this kind of exchange.
Are you sure you’re okay? Remind me when Rarity is coming back to Ponyville again? She’s supposed to be there in a few weeks, right?

Hey there,
It's really just me here for the next month or so now. Rarity actually had to postpone her trip because of business in Manehattan. Looks like it’ll just be me here during winter. I’m kind of not doing great; I feel sort of tired and fuzzy all the time, like I’m not really there. I don’t think I’m getting used to it.
