Danny Ends Up in Equestria

View Online

At a high school called ‘Casper High’, there was a boy named Danny Fenton, eating lunch together with his two best friends Sam Manson and Tucker Foley.

Sam looked up from her salad. “I finished my project, did you?” she asked.

Sam was talking about the class project that their teacher, Mr. Lancer gave to them that is due tomorrow.

Tucker looked proud. “I finished it a few days ago so that I would have time to play my new game,” he explained.

Sam then looked at Danny. “What about you, Danny?” she asked.

He sighed, frowning. “I’ve been so busy fighting ghosts that I haven’t had time to finish it yet,” informed Danny.

“Danny, if you don’t finish it soon, Lancer’s going to give you an ‘F’,” informed Sam.

“I know that. All I need to do is be ghost-free for the rest of the day, and I can finish the project,” he said.

Tucker felt a twinge of sympathy for his friend. “Good luck,” he said.

“Thanks. I’m going to need it,” said Danny.

After they were finished with the rest of their lunch, the school bell rang, and the three of them headed for their next class.

Few Hours Later

Danny was walking down into the lab as he needed the peace and quiet to work on his project. He was down there since his parents were in the living room, reminiscing of their youngers days by blasting an old song of their youth at full volume.

Danny then placed his stuff on a desk. “I just need to finish this project, and then I’m done,” he said.

Danny was in a hurry as he only had the rest of the day left to finish the project and turn it in tomorrow. Unfortunately, a lot of his parents' lab equipment was on the table.

“Ugh,” groaned Danny.

He had to place his project down onto the table, and then started making a few trips back and forth between two tables as he was placing his parents' stuff onto the other table. The desk was almost clear as there were only a few things left on the table, one of them being the Fenton Thermos. He picked it off of the table and looked at it..

Since there were no ghosts inside of the thermos, Danny threw it over his shoulder behind him, not caring where it ended up. He then placed his stuff down onto the table, but before he could go and get a chair, the alarm from the Fenton Portal went off.

Danny was shocked. “What the..?!” he shouted.

Danny turned to see the thermos at the base of the Fenton portal opening up and letting the inhabitants of the Ghost Zone fly out.

He needed to stop the ghosts and close the portal so that he could finish his project. “I’m going ghost!” shouted Danny.

He started transforming as he became his ghost alter-ego, Danny Phantom. He quickly started flying after the rogue ghosts, punching and blasting them back through the portal. He went over to the Fenton Thermos, grabbed it, and started capturing some of the ghosts in it.

One of the ghosts was flying around the room. Danny started blasting at it with his energy blasts, but it kept dodging them.

“Hold still!” he shouted.

He shot a strong blast at it, but then the ghost dodged out of the way. The energy blast ended up hitting the control panel, which then ended up partially destroyed and had electricity sparking from it. Suddenly, a strong vortex of air was coming out from the ghost portal and started pulling everything in its path in: Danny’s project, and the remaining ghosts, including some of the Fenton Gadgets that were pulled off of the tables that were to the side. Danny was trying to fly away as he was caught in the strength of the vortex and was being pulled in no matter how hard he tried to fight it. The thermos slipped out of his hand and got sucked up into the Ghost Portal.

Danny was being pulled through the portal as he couldn’t escape it. “Aaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhh!” he shouted.

Danny ended up going through it completely. Then, the Ghost Portal shut off, leaving the lab almost empty of its stuff.

Few Minutes Later

Danny was waking up. “Ugh, what happened? Where am I?” he questioned.

Once he was fully awake, Danny looked around and found himself inside of a forest.

“Hello?! Anybody around?!” he shouted.

Danny got up off of the ground. He then tried to walk forward but ended up tripping and falling.

“Ow! “What the?!” shouted Danny. He picked himself off the ground and looked down. “What happened? Why did I trip on my hooves?” Danny then realized something. “Wait. Hooves?”

He looked himself over and saw that he was a cream-colored earth pony. Everything about Danny was the same as he had the same blue-colored eyes and he was still wearing his shirt. Also, Danny’s mane and tail were a black-color and were stylized after his haircut as a human.

“AAAAAAAAHHHHH!!!” he shouted.

Danny was freaking out as he saw that he wasn’t human anymore.

“Why am I a pony?! I don’t want to be one!” shouted Danny.

He started running around, freaking out. Well, Danny tried running around, but he sometimes tripped since he was in a new body.

Few Minutes Later

After a while of freaking out, Danny was now calm. He looked up at the sky.

“Either I’m somewhere in the Ghost Zone, and I was somehow turned into a pony by the Ghost Portal, or I’m currently dreaming right now and I’m missing out on finishing the rest of my project. Either way, freaking out won’t help,” said Danny. “Right now, I should find the nearest civilization and figure out where I am. If this is a dream, then I shouldn’t be able to do this. I’m going ghost!” he shouted as he began transforming.

He looked at himself. “Sweet. Although, the horn is distracting,” commented Danny. The young boy tapped the horn protruding from his head. It was yet another addition to his form, but he wasn’t a stranger to such things.

Danny crouched down and started flapping his wings. It all just felt natural to him for some reason. Then, Danny somehow started flying off into the air. He started looking around until he spotted a village in the distance.

“Let’s hope the people over there are friendly,” he said.

Danny headed towards the town. Although, his flying was a little shaky.

Meanwhile-Ponyville

A certain pink pony was working the register at the bakery, taking another pony’s order, when suddenly, she sensed something.

“A new pony will be arriving at Ponyville! I have to welcome them before they get here!” she announced. The pony then ran into the kitchen. “Mrs. Cake, a new pony will be arriving soon, so I’ll be busy for a while. Is that okay?”

“Of course, Pinkie Pie. Make sure to clean up when you’re done baking,” said Mrs. Cake.

“Okey dokey lokey!” confirmed Pinkie Pie.

She then began to plan a surprise party for the mysterious pony.

Danny Causes A Scare

Danny was on top of the roof of a house, crouched down as he was looking down at the town, surprised.

“Whoa. I can’t believe what I’m seeing,” he said. “It’s just impossible.”

It was a town filled with ponies of different ages, shapes, sizes, and shades of color.

Seeing the ponies, it confirmed one of his theories. “Okay. I have to be dreaming if I’m seeing a town full of different colored ponies,” said Danny, observing.

The ghost pony continued to observe from his hiding spot. As he watched, he could tell that every pony there looked quite nice and friendly.

Danny suddenly had an idea. “It wouldn’t hurt to take a peek, right? What’s the worst that could happen?” said the ghost pony.

He shouldn’t have tempted fate. Especially since he was new to using his ghost powers as a pony.

Danny closed his eyes and started struggling, trying to turn himself invisible. “Come on. Come on,” muttered the ghost pony.

His horn started emitting an ectoplasmic green-color aura, which then spread across his entire body. Once it completely covered Danny’s body, his body then turned invisible.

The ghost pony opened his eyes. He looked at himself and saw that it was a success. “Awesome! It worked!” cheered Danny.

Nearby ponies who heard him shout, looked up in his direction, confused, but there was nothing there. So, the ponies went back to what they were doing.

Maybe I should be quiet and not shout out loudly, attracting unwanted attention to myself? Especially since I don’t know how long I can remain invisible?” he thought quietly.

The ghost pony then strained himself again as he was concentrating on trying to fly again while also trying not to drop his invisibility. After a few seconds of concentration, Danny started levitating into the air again.

He looked a little tired. “Man, for a dream, this feels kind of realistic. I feel exhausted from using my ghost powers, which should be impossible in dreams,” commented the ghost pony. Danny thought about it until he came to a conclusion. “Ugh, I’m probably sleepwalking or ‘sleepflying’ around town in my ghost form right now, using my powers without realizing it. I must be feeling the exhaustion my body is going through right now.’

The ghost pony flew off into the air.

“I just hope I wake up before I end up crashing into something. Like the side of a building,” said Danny.

He then started observing the ponies closely.

Few Minutes Later

While observing them, the ghost pony saw that the ponies have small pictures on their ‘butts’ like he did, have weird names, and they had a currency of gold coins known as ‘Bits’.

This dream is getting weirder and weirder. If I told anyone that I dreamed this whole thing up, I’d be a laughingstock until the end of High School ,” thought Danny. “Luckily, I might forget this as soon as I wake up.

The ghost pony looked around at some random houses, trying to decide which one to take a look in.

“Hmm…I’m going to have to decide this in a more mature way,” he said.

A few seconds later, Danny was spinning in place with his eyes closed and a hoof extended, pointing straight.

“And…Stop!” said the ghost pony before stopping in place.

He opened his eyes and saw that his hoof was pointing at a cream-colored house. Danny landed onto the house’s roof. Now came the hardest part for Danny as the ghost pony needed to keep his hold on his invisibility and flight while trying to turn intangible. He was already tired from turning invisible and from flying, and from keeping them both up for a while. Turning intangible would tire him even more. In the end, the ghost pony’s curiosity won.

Danny concentrated hard once again. After a while, he started phasing through the roof of the house.

“Danny does it once again,” cheered the ghost pony.

He flew down into the house. It was a charming-looking home and in it was an earth pony mare, a pegasus stallion, and a unicorn filly and an earth pony colt too. They were sitting at the living room table, playing a board game.

Danny became interested and decided to get closer. He didn’t notice that both his invisibility and intangibility had just worn off. His presence had created a shadow to the left of the mare, causing her to notice and look in his direction.

She looked shocked, said her husband’s name, and pointed out where the ghost pony was. Everyone followed where she was pointing and saw the source of the shadow. They looked shocked just like her. The ghost pony was confused at what they were staring at and decided to look behind himself, but didn’t see anything. Then the mare screamed, followed by the stallion and the two children.

“What is that thing?!” she asked, shouting.

“I don’t know! Must be some kind of ghost or something!” he shouted.

What the stallion said shocked Danny. He looked down at himself and realized one thing.

“Uh-oh,” said the ghost pony.

Meanwhile-Outside of the House

Ponies had stopped and looked at the house, concerned as they heard the family screaming. All of a sudden, the door opened and the family ran out followed by some kind of perplexed, terrifying-looking Alicorn creature. The ponies didn’t know whether to be scared or shocked, so they chose to be scared. Now, there were ponies running around like the family: scared.

Danny reached the streets. His flying had ended as he couldn’t maintain it anymore. “Hey! Wait!” he shouted. “I’m not here to hurt you!”

No one was listening as they were scared of him.

Suddenly, there was a voice.

“Hey, you! Stop right there!” shouted a female voice.

Danny turned his head and saw that the voice belonged to some sort of a blue pegasus with a rainbow-colored mane and tail. All the ponies stopped running around as they looked at the mare herself.

“I want you to stop terrorizing the ponies right now and come with me,” she demanded.

The ghost pony, instead of saying something reasonable in response, ended up voicing his thoughts out loud. “Are those hair colors natural?” asked Danny, wondering.

The ponies who were nearby were stunned to hear him speak.

The mare was shocked at first as well, but she quickly became furious. “Wha-?! Of course they are!” she shouted.

The ghost pony then realized that he had accidentally said that out loud. “Sorry. Didn’t mean to make you angry,” said Danny, apologizing.

The rainbow pony scoffed. “Whatever. Make this easy and give yourself up,” she informed. “Don’t, and-” the rainbow pony gave him a big grin “-I’ll catch you faster than you can run.”

So, my choices are either get brought before whoever’s in charge, who might treat me like I’m some sort of bad guy, or run away?” he thought. After a few seconds, the decision was made. “Yeeeeah, no thanks. I’m leaving.”

The ghost pony then turned around and galloped away with some difficulties.

The rainbow pony grinned. “Fine. More fun for me,” she said.

The rainbow pony crouched down and quickly flew off into the air.

While galloping, he turned his head and saw that the mare was flying after him at a fast speed. “She’s coming in hot. Better disappear,” thought Danny.

The ghost pony turned the corner into an alley. He needed to hurry as she turned the corner and was getting closer and closer and there were only a few more feet until the end. If he didn’t turn intangible now, the ghost pony would end up caught by the rainbow pony. He’d either end up crashing into a brick wall, and then be caught, or his transformation would wear off and then he would transform back into his other pony form, and then he would be caught. Either one was bad. The ghost pony concentrated hard.

The distance between them was shrinking. “You shouldn’t have run down this alley. You made it all too easy for me to catch you,” the rainbow pony informed. “I don’t know what Twilight will do to a male Alicorn like you, but I don’t care.”

The distance between Danny and the wall were also shrinking too. The mare’s hoof was extended, reaching for him. Just as he was about to crash into the wall, he had finally turned intangible and phased right through it. Safe.

The ghost pony gave off a relieved sigh. “Phew. That was a close o--” he was interrupted before he was finished.

The mare was not so lucky as she had crashed through the brick wall and through the front of the building, creating a dust cloud.

Danny winced. “Oof. That’s got to hurt,” he commented. “Better get out of here before anymore trouble happens to me.”

With a little bit of difficulty, the ghost pony flew off into the air, unseen.

Danny Meets Pinkie Pie

View Online

Danny was at the edge of Ponyville, sitting against the side of a building while back in his regular pony form. The ghost pony was feeling tired as he had exhausted a lot of his energy from using his ghost powers.

O-okay. This dream has either become very, VERY realistic, or this isn’t a dream at all, and seeing as how I haven’t woken up AT ALL anywhere within Amity Park by now, I guess I’m not dreaming,” he thought, worried. “This is bad. I guess that that means that I’m somewhere in the Ghost Zone, temporarily trapped in this form while my powers are hard to use. Even if I make it back home, I don’t know where I am. And even if I do find my way home, I don’t know if going back through the portal would either fix me, or I might be stuck like this forever.

Danny noticed some ponies that were a little far away looking at him. The ghost pony waved at the ponies, who waved back, smiles on their faces.

After all that commotion I caused in my ghost form, it’s better if I try not to use any of my ghost powers while in the town for a while until I either somehow master my powers in this new form, or until Sam and Tucker notice that I’m gone and will come and rescue me from here,” continued Danny.

The ghost pony was so wrapped up in his thoughts that he didn’t notice that a certain pink-colored, party pony was standing right in front of him, smiling. She was silent as she was waiting for him to notice her.

Danny sighed sadly as the ghost pony knew what would happen if the second thing did in fact happen. “Though, if that does happen, and those two see me like this, they’ll laugh and will never let me live this down,” he continued again.

The ghost pony finally noticed the pony standing in front of him.

“Uh, hello?” greeted Danny.

“Hello! My name’s Pinkie Pie, and welcome to Ponyville!” she greeted, excited. “What’s your name?!”

The ghost pony was surprised at the level of energy Pinkie Pie was exhibiting. “Whoa, she has a lot of energy for a pony. It’s like she’s on a sugar rush or something,” he thought. “Better give her my name or else I’ll look weird. My name’s Danny Fenton.”

The party pony giggled. “Nice to meet you, Danny! Are you moving to Ponyville or are you here visiting somepony?” she asked. “Must be from some place outside of Ponyville.

Danny decided to lie to her. “Actually, I got separated from my friends. So, I’m just staying here temporarily until they eventually find me,” explained the ghost pony.

While it was a lie, it also wasn’t a lie either.

Pinkie Pie felt bad for him. “Aww, that’s so sad! Do you have any money or a place to stay at the moment?” she wondered.

“Well, no, but-” he said, but was then interrupted.

“Then you can stay with one of my friends until your own come and get you! I’ll introduce you to them right now!” she offered. “And if not, then you can stay with me and the Cakes until then!”

“No-no, it’s okay-” said the ghost pony before being interrupted again.

The party pony grabbed Danny by the hoof and galloped away, pulling him along with them.

“Aaaaahhhhhh!!!” screamed the ghost pony.

He would’ve used his ghost powers to escape from Pinkie Pie’s grip, but couldn’t as there were too many ponies around. If Danny had used his ghost powers in front of them, then they’d figure out that he was actually the ghost pony from before, or if not, they would know that Danny’s connected somehow. Also, he was too tired, and even inexperienced with his new form to even properly use his powers. So instead, the ghost pony had to go along for the ride, for now.

Few Minutes Later

They arrived at a building that looked like some sort of a gingerbread house.

“Welcome to Sugarcube Corner! One of the greatest places in all of Ponyville!” announced Pinkie Pie. “It’s also where I work and live. Neat, huh?”

She faced Danny, who had a look of amazement on his face.

“Wow. It looks good enough to eat,” said the ghost pony, impressed. He realized that what he just said sounded weird. “If it was made out of real sweets, I mean.”

The party pony smiled widely. “I know what you mean, and I completely agree!” she said. “If it was made out of real sweets, then of course it would be good enough to eat. “She gestured to Danny to follow her. “Knowing the girls, they’re all inside, having some sweets while talking about what to do about a mysterious ghost pony that showed up a while ago. I can introduce you to them while you eat some sweets yourself.”

Danny was kind of worried. “Uh, I don’t have any money-” he tried to say. Pinkie Pie had interrupted him once again.

“Don’t worry! This one’s on the house!” reassured Pinkie Pie. She then galloped behind the ghost pony and started pushing him towards the door. “My treat!”

Danny sighed as the ghost pony knew he had no choice but to go along with her as she pushed him up the stairs and into the bakery. The moment he was inside, the ghost pony was hit by the smell of sweets and pastries.

“Whoa. It smells good in here,” complimented Danny.

Pinkie Pie took a deep breath in, and then out. “Yup! Smells like sweets, pastries, and sugar!” she said.

Suddenly, a voice sounded off.

“Hi, Pinkie dearie. Are you here to see your friends?” asked a female voice.

He turned his head and saw that the voice belonged to a blue-colored adult mare with a mane and tail that was two different shades of crimson and was wearing an apron. Riding on her back were two foals: a pegasus colt and a unicorn filly. The party pony stopped pushing the ghost pony so she could talk to the mare.

Pinkie Pie nodded. “Uh-huh! Danny’s a new pony in town and I wanted to introduce him to my friends,” the party pony informed. “Danny, I want you to meet Mrs. Cake, and the Cake Twins, Pumpkin and Pound Cake.” She had run around, pointing at the ponies. “And Mr. Cake is in the Kitchen, baking.”

“It’s, um, nice to meet you all?” greeted the ghost pony.

Mrs. Cake smiled. “Likewise, dearie,” she greeted.

The Cake Twins said something in their baby talk, which was probably a greeting of some kind.

The party pony then pointed at something else. “And over there is where my friends are sitting,” Pinkie Pie informed.

Danny looked in the direction of where she was pointing, and saw that sitting at a table was a group of five mares. One of them was the familiar pony, Rainbow Dash, who for some reason, seemed completely fine even after crashing a while ago. The five of them were so absorbed in talking that they haven’t even noticed the two yet.

The party pony smiled. “You can go and say hi to them while I’ll go get you something to eat. They’re very nice ponies and would make very nice friends,” Pinkie Pie informed.

“I see. I’ll do that, Pinkie Pie,” he said. “Like I have a choice.

She smiled widely. “Great! By the way, do you like Chocolate Chip Muffins?” asked the party pony, curious.

He nodded. After all, Chocolate Chip Muffins did sound good after tiring himself out from using his ghost powers and from being dragged around the town by Pinkie Pie did sound good. “Yeah, I do,” confirmed Danny.

Pinkie Pie was happy that he accepted her offer. “Okay,” said the party pony.

She galloped fast and into the kitchen. The ghost pony let out a frustrated sigh. He would’ve left right now, but if he did, then Danny would’ve felt bad. After all, the ghost pony did say he’d talk to Pinkie Pie’s friends. Also, there’s a chance that if he did leave, then the ghost pony might end up upsetting the party pony, who would then tell her friends what Danny looked like, and there’s no way he’d be able to outrun the rainbow pegasus as himself.

The ghost pony released another sigh. “Here goes nothing,” muttered Danny.

He trotted over to them while making sure not to trip and fall over himself. The ghost pony could hear the mares talking about the ‘mysterious skeletal ghost alicorn’.

Once Danny reached their table, he cleared his throat. “Uh, excuse me?” the ghost pony called out.

They all stopped talking, and then they all turned to look at him.

“Hi,” greeted Danny.

Danny's Interaction with the Mane 6

Danny looked at the table and saw that there was an orange-colored pony wearing a farm hat, a shy-looking pegasus, that Rainbow Dash pony, an elegant-looking unicorn, a purple unicorn with wings, and a small green and purple-colored dragon.

“Howdy there, stranger. Mah name’s Applejack,” said the orange pony with a country accent. “Never seen ya in Ponyville before. Ya just arrived?”

He nodded. “Yeah. I was looking for a place to stay temporarily until my friends arrive, but then your friend brought me here, saying that she’d help me find one?” the ghost pony informed. Danny was kind of impressed. “A country pony? Why not?

“That’s Pinkie Pie for you. Always helping out those in need,” said the elegant unicorn, giggling. “The name’s Rarity. Carousel Boutique’s fashion designer. Pleased to meet you, darling.”

He held up a hoof in greeting. “Same here,” said Danny.

She took a look at the ghost pony before her eyes landed on his shirt. The fashion pony had a shocked look on her face. “Oh, my. What is that drab, awful clothes you're wearing?” asked Rarity.

Danny was confused about what she was talking about. The ghost pony looked at his own shirt before looking back at the fashion pony, eyebrow raised.

“It’s my shirt? I always wear this one,” answered Danny. He looked insulted. “And what are you calling ‘drab’? I happen to like this shirt. I wear this shirt everywhere I go. Even at parties.”

Hearing that shocked the fashion pony even more. Rarity couldn’t believe what she was hearing.

The fashion pony shook her head. “No, no, no. This won’t do at all,” said Rarity. “You have to visit my boutique sometime so that I can make you a new outfit to replace that one.”

The ghost pony shook his head. “No, thanks. I’m perfectly fine wearing this shirt,” said Danny.

He really wasn’t interested at all. Besides, who knows when the ghost pony will be rescued? Danny didn’t want to return home with some kind of a weird outfit, and even if it wasn’t weird, he might wear it only once or twice after getting back home.

Unfortunately, she wasn’t going to take no for an answer. “I insist, dear. I’ll make you an outfit free of charge,” said the fashion pony, adamant.

The ghost pony frowned. “And I said that I don’t want it. Like I said before, I’m perfectly fine,” said Danny. He stressed out the two words. “Is she stubborn or hard of hearing?

Before Rarity was about to say anything, the fashion pony was then interrupted by the shy-looking pegasus.

“Rarity, you shouldn’t force an outfit on him when-”, stopped herself. The shy-looking pegasus looked at the ghost pony, wanting his name.

Danny realized why she was looking at him. “Danny. Danny Fenton,” the ghost pony informed.

The shy-looking pegasus nodded before looking back at Rarity. “-Danny doesn’t want one. You have to respect that,” she continued. “Who knows? He might want one when he feels like it.”

The fashion pony knew that her friend was right, and sighed in defeat. “You’re right, Fluttershy,” said Rarity. She then looked at him. “I’m so sorry about that, Danny. I let my generosity get the best of me. Could you ever forgive me?”

The ghost pony sighed. “It’s fine. I forgive you,” said Danny. “But if she tries to force some outfit on me again, then I am out of here.” He then looked at the purple unicorn with wings.

She realized that he was looking at her, and smiled. “I'm Princess Twilight Sparkle, but you can call me Twilight,” said the purple unicorn with wings.

Danny was kind of surprised. “Now there’s a pony princess? I wouldn’t be surprised if there were more of them here in this kingdom of ponies,” thought the ghost pony. “It’s nice to meet you, Twilight.”

The smart pony then looked at the dragon. “And this is my number one assistant, Spike,” she introduced.

“Hi. Do you like comic books?” asked Spike.

That surprised him that comic books existed in their part of the Ghost Zone. “Yeah. I do,” answered Danny.

The dragon kid smiled. “Cool. I’ve got some comic books at home if you want to check them out one day, and there’s even a comic bookstore here in Ponyville if you want to buy some yourself,” he informed.

The ghost pony smiled. “Cool,” said Danny.

The rainbow pony decided to choose this time to interrupt the conversation. “Sorry to interrupt, but we have a ghost alicorn pony thing to find. I’m sure they’re still somewhere in Ponyville, and I am not giving up until I catch them,” she said, determined.

Applejack sighed loudly. “And like ah said before, how are ya supposed ta catch a ghost? They're dead and can slip through ya hooves like a greased up hog,” she argued.

“And that’s why I asked Twilight if she knows or can find any spells that can allow us to capture a ghost or at least let me hit one,” argued Rainbow Dash, still determined.

That worried the ghost pony. He really hoped that there really weren’t any spells, or that Twilight didn’t know any of those spells that could be used against ghosts. It’d be really hard for Danny to defend himself against them if that were the case since the ghost pony doesn’t have full control over his ghost powers for now.

The smart pony cleared her throat. “Actually, Rainbow Dash, I don’t know any spells that could help us against ghosts,” said Twilight. “I could check, but spells involving ghosts and spirits sounds sort of like Necromancy, something I don’t deal in or want to be involved in. But I can send a letter to Princess Celestia about this and see if she knows any spells that could help.” She then looked at the rainbow pony with a stern look. “Until then, none of us will be fighting any ghosts. Got that?”

Everyone, except for Danny, nodded their heads. As for Rainbow Dash, she only crossed her hooves and grumbled, knowing that her fight with the ghost alicorn would have to be put on hold for now.

Danny inwardly sighed, relieved that he was safe, for now. The ghost pony was also kind of surprised that there was actually another pony princess other than Twilight herself.

I was only joking that I wouldn’t be surprised, but now I am,” he thought.

Suddenly, Pinkie Pie reappeared right next to the group.

“Hello, everypony! What happened while I was in the kitchen?!” exclaimed the party pony, excited. “Did everypony become friends?!”

He was surprised again as the party pony had come out of nowhere. As for her friends, they weren’t as all of them were used to it.

Once the ghost pony calmed down, Danny was able to talk to Pinkie Pie. “Well, your friends were talking about some ghost alicorn thing, and Rainbow Dash wanted to catch it, but can’t because Twilight said that no one should for now. Also, I guess we did become friends,” he informed.

The party pony smiled. “Great! Also, it’ll take a while for the Chocolate Chip Muffins to be ready,” she said. “Until then, we can discuss whose house you’ll be staying over until your friends get here.”

The ghost pony had forgotten about that, until now. “Oh. Well, I am a bit hungry,” thought Danny. He was thinking more about the muffins than about his living situation.

The smart pony had an apologetic look. “I’m sorry, but we don’t have an extra room at the library, but we do have a couch if you want to sleep on that,” offered Twilight.

The ghost pony thought about it. Sleeping on a couch might be uncomfortable because of Danny’s current form.

“Um, I’ll think about it,” he said.

Pinkie Pie had a sad look on her face. “I wish you could stay over at the bakery, but I don’t think Mr. and Mrs. Cake would let you. It’s already crowded with the Cake Twins living here too,” the party pony informed.

“It’s okay. I don’t want to make the place overcrowded than it already is,” reassured the ghost pony.

That made Pinkie Pie smile.

“Well, he can’t live with me. I live inside of a cloud home,” Rainbow Dash informed. “He’d fall right through on the first step.”

The others agreed. It would be dangerous if Danny lived with the rainbow pony. Hearing about that made him worried, but also thankful too.

“If you want, you can live with me and my animal friends at the cottage,” offered Fluttershy.

The fashion pony decided to bring something up that was kind of concerning.

“Fluttershy darling, I was wondering, but what about Discord? How would he feel about it?” asked Rarity.

The shy pony remembered something as soon as the fashion pony had brought it up. “Oh, my. You're right, Rarity,” she said. “I don't know how he’d react if I were to tell him.”

The ghost pony was confused. “Who’s Discord?” asked Danny.

Everyone was shocked that he didn’t know who Discord was.

“You don’t know who Discord is? Everypony in Equestria knows who he is after all of the chaos he caused a few times,” the smart pony informed.

Rainbow Dash snapped out of her surprise and was now looking at the ghost pony with narrowed eyes, suspicious of Danny. “Something’s suspicious about this stallion,” thought the rainbow pony. “Where did you say you were from?”

The ghost pony realized that he was in trouble but decided to play it cool. “I didn’t. No one ever asked,” said Danny.

“Well, I’m the one who’s asking now,” said Rainbow Dash.

“Rainbow Dash! Don’t be so rude,” admonished Fluttershy.

She looked at the shy pony, shocked “But-” said the rainbow pony.

“No ‘buts’,” said the shy pony. She then looked at Danny with a kind smile. “Sorry about that. Continue.”

He smiled a little. “Thanks,” said the ghost pony. Danny hoped that telling them where he’s from might fool them. “I’m from, uh, Amity Park.”

They were all confused as they all had never heard of ‘Amity Park’ before. Then, the smart pony had a mistaken idea.

“Oh, I get it. You must be from somewhere across the ocean, right?” she asked. The ghost pony was surprised to hear there was an ocean here. He just nodded in response. “Now that I think about it, I don’t think ponies or other creatures from outside of Equestria would have heard of Discord anyway.”

Luckily, the others fell for it as they agreed with Twilight, seeing as how she was right. As for Danny, he inwardly sighed in relief.

The smart pony decided to answer the question Danny had asked before. “Discord is the God of Chaos and a Spirit of Disharmony. A long time ago, he took over Equestria, but the Princesses defeated him by using the Elements of Harmony to turn him into a statue,” explained Twilight. “At some point, Discord escaped from his stone imprisonment and terrorized Equestria once again. My friends and I went up against him. Thanks to the power of our friendship, we were able to defeat him with the Elements of Harmony and turn him back to stone.”

The ghost pony nodded. “Oh-kay? Then why did Rarity ask Fluttershy about how this Discord guy feels if he's just a statue?” he asked, looking at Fluttershy and the fashion pony.

Before the smart pony could answer again, Rainbow Dash interrupted the smart pony.

“The Princesses thought it'd be a good idea if he were released and reformed by Fluttershy. Every now and then, he causes chaos with his magic despite being ‘reformed’,” she explained with hoof quotes. “I still don't trust him.”

Fluttershy gave the rainbow pony a soft smile. “Now, Rainbow Dash. Discord is still learning to use his magic for good,” she said. “Just give him some time and you’ll see that he’s doing his best.”

The rainbow pony only rolled her eyes. “Whatever,” said Rainbow Dash.

The shy pony looked back at Danny. “I could go home right now and talk to Discord and tell him about you. If you’re planning to stay over, I mean,” said Fluttershy.

He thought about it. “This Discord guy sounds like he could be a real pain in my butt, or flank I think, if I stayed with her. It’s better not to get on his bad side until then,” thought the ghost pony. Danny shook his head. “Sorry, but I don’t think he’ll like me staying over your house one bit, even if you talked to him about it. Better safe than sorry.”

She nodded, agreeing.

“Well, darling. That just leaves me, Twilight, and Applejack to choose from,” said the fashion pony. “Applejack lives at her family's apple farm, Sweet Apple Acres, while I live at my fashion store, Carousel Boutique. Both of us have an extra room for you to temporarily stay in until your friends arrive. But you could also choose to stay in the Library with Twilight and Spike if you want to.”

The ghost pony had a thinking expression on his face. “So, I either choose to live in a fashion store surrounded by clothes, in a library surrounded by books, or live on a farm and do farm work every day? Ugh, which one should I choose while I’m staying in this town?” thought Danny. In the end, the ghost pony made his decision. “Applejack, can I live with you at the farm?”

The apple pony smiled. “Why sure thing, Danny. Glad to have ya,” said Applejack. “I'll introduce ya to mah family and even give ya the grand tour around Sweet Apple Acres once we get there.”

Danny smiled, but was kind of worried on the inside. “I hope I made the right decision, or else I'm going to regret it later,” thought the ghost pony. “Also, I hope Tucker and Sam noticed my disappearance after I had gotten sucked into the Ghost Portal. Speaking of which, if I got sucked through and ended up here in this part of the Ghost Zone, then it’s possible that the other ghosts who were in the lab got sent here as well. And if that really happened, and they find me and find out that I don’t have control over my powers, I’ll be toast, or worse.

Meanwhile-Manehattan

At some random city, ponies were running around screaming as boxes of different kinds were floating around everywhere, surrounded by an eerie, blue aura. In the air, a mysterious earth pony figure with red eyes was floating.

An evil, joyful laugh sounded from them as they enjoyed the terrified screams of the ponies. “Mwa ha ha ha ha ha!” laughed a male voice. “Now, to terrorize the next city for I am the ‘Box Ghost’! Master of all things that are square and box-like!”

The pony floated off into the air above the city, and then he flew off in a random direction with an evil laugh, but it wasn’t just any random direction the pony went. It was in the direction of Ponyville.

The Box Ghost Appears

After eating some Chocolate Chip Muffins that had finally finished baking, Danny was now following Applejack on a path outside the town of Ponyville. Apparently, the apple pony's family farm was located somewhere on the outskirts of the city. As soon as he heard that, the ghost pony immediately regretted it since that would mean that Danny would have to walk back and forth between the farm and town.

Right now, he was feeling tired from walking for so long. “Are we there yet? My fe-hooves are getting tired,” complained Danny. “Phew. That was a close one. Almost said feet.

The farm pony chuckled. “Dun’t worry there, Danny. We’re almost there like ta last time ya asked,” Applejack explained. “Ya can see it in the distance over yonder.”

The apple pony looked ahead, causing the ghost pony to follow her gaze. In the distance was a farm with rows and rows of apple trees as far as the eye can see.

He looked impressed and amazed. “Whoa. So many apple trees,” said Danny.

She smiled. “Yeah, an’ ya’ll be helpin’ buck ‘em too,” said Applejack.

Danny stopped trotting, surprised. “Wait, wait, wait. Hold on,” he said.

The apple pony stopped trotting and turned around to face the ghost pony.

“Did you say ‘buck’? As in, ‘kick backwards with my hooves’?” asked Danny.

She nodded. “Ya-huh,” confirmed Applejack.

He then pointed at the trees. “At those trees?” asked the ghost pony.

“Ta git all of the apples to fall inta the baskets,” the apple pony informed.

Every single one?” asked Danny, in disbelief.

He was starting to regret choosing to live with Applejack.

“Just the ones yer able ta clear before the day is up. Ya also be helpin’ around the farm doin’ chores too,” she informed.

The ghost pony was regretting it even more.

“Now, come on. We’re burnin’ daylight, an’ ah want to introduce ya to mah family since ya will be livin’ with us fer a while,” said the apple pony.

She continued on down the road, leaving the ghost pony dumbfounded.

Danny was really regretting his descision now. “I should’ve chosen to stay at the library. I could have read those comic books that that dragon had,” thought the ghost pony. He sighed. “Too late to switch now.

The ghost pony reluctantly and begrudgingly followed after Applejack.

Few Minutes Later

They arrived at a farm house. There, sitting on the porch in a rocking chair was an old mare.

“Hay there, Granny Smith. Ah'd like ya ta meet Danny,” said the apple pony. “He’s stayin’ over at the farm temporarily and helpin’ with the chores until his friends come ta git ‘em. Ya don’t mind, do ya?”

She smiled. “Ah dun mind at all, Applejack. We do have an extra room fer ‘em to stay in,” said Granny Smith. The old mare looked at Danny. “Nice ta meet ya there, dearie. ”

He smiled. “Nice to meet you too,” said the ghost pony.

“Where’s Big McIntosh and Apple Bloom?” asked Applejack.

“Yer big brother finished applebuckin' a while ago an’ is inside havin' a drink, an’ as fer yer little sis, she left a while after ya did,” she informed. “She went off ta go hang out with her friends to try and git their Cutie Marks again.” The old mare chuckled. “Those three will probably end up covered in tree sap again.”

Hearing that made the apple pony frown. “Ah hope that filly finished all of her chores. Ah told her that she couldn't play with her friends till she's done,” said Applejack.

“Knowin' that filly, she did all of her chores so you wouldn't git mad at her later,” said Granny Smith.

Her frown lifted a little. “We'll see,” said Applejack.

Suddenly, the house door opened, and in trotted a big, red-colored stallion. He was bigger and taller than all of them.

Danny was flabbergasted. “Whoa!” shouted the ghost pony. “What do they feed him to make him so big?!

“Hay, Big McIntosh. Ah’m goin’ to see if Apple Bloom did a good job on all of her chores,” the apple pony informed. “Can ya guide mah new friend Danny here ta the guest room? He’ll be stayin’ with us fer a while.”

Big McIntosh nodded. “Eeyup,” said the red stallion.

She looked at Danny. “Ah'll see ya in a little while, an’ then ah’ll give ya the grand tour of the farm,” Applejack informed.

The ghost pony nodded. “Sure thing,” he said.

The apple pony smiled and headed for the barn.

Danny looked up at Big McIntosh, a nervous smile on the ghost pony’s face. “Um, I'm Danny. Nice to meet you there, Big McIntosh,” he greeted.

“Likewise,” responded the red stallion. “Follow me.”

Big McIntosh then started trotting back into the house, and Danny followed after him. After trotting up the stairs and past a few rooms, the two arrived at another room. The red stallion opened the door, revealing a room that had a bed, table, bedside table with a lamp on top, and a dresser. It even had a window that had a view of the forest.

“Homey,” said the ghost pony. “And not even a single tv, phone, computer, or video game console in sight. This is going to be a fun stay here in pony town.

“Eeyup,” agreed Big McIntosh.

Danny looked at him with a grin. “You’re a pony of few words, huh?” asked the ghost pony, joking.

That made the red stallion smile. “Eeyup,” said Big McIntosh, joking.

The two of them laughed for a while, but then Danny’s stomach interrupted them.

GROOOWLLL!!!

Realizing that the sound came from his own stomach made the ghost pony blush out of embarrassment.

“Want somethin’ ta eat?” offered the red stallion.

Danny nodded at his offer. Even though the ghost pony had some muffins, he hadn't eaten dinner yet, so he was kind of still hungry. “Sounds good,” said Danny.

The ghost pony followed Big McIntosh to the kitchen. If the two of them had looked down at a distance, they would have noticed that underneath the end of the bed, cloaked in its shadow, there was some sort of long, cylindrical object with some sort of half-hoop on top on its left side.

Meanwhile at the Library

Twilight was reading a letter that she had received from Princess Celestia. It was responding to the letter that smart pony sent to her teacher about the alicorn ghost and asking if there were any spells that could help them catch ghosts.

Twilight sighed sadly.

Spike was cleaning when he heard the sigh. “Something wrong, Twilight?” asked the dragon kid, concerned.

“Princess Celestia said that while there are sealing spells, it might be impossible to seal the alicorn ghost away. Even if we were to use magic, we might not be able to hold the ghost once it escapes by becoming intangible and disappearing,” the smart pony informed. “And since it’s an alicorn, its magic will be powerful. A battle with it might end up destroying Ponyville, so the princess suggests that we talk it out with him first and try to become friends. If a battle does indeed happen, she wants us to get the alicorn far away from Ponyville. The princess will help us if it comes to that.”

The dragon kid was surprised. “Whoa,” he said.

Suddenly, the sound of screaming and things crashing into the ground. She and Spike looked at each other before galloping, or running in the dragon kid’s case, towards the door. The door was slammed open by the smart pony’s magic as the two came out of the library.

Twilight was shocked at the sight, but then she snapped out of it. “What's going on around here?!” exclaimed the smart pony.

There were some ponies that were galloping around, screaming as boxes were floating in the air with an eerie, blue glow surrounding them, while others were hiding, scared. Some of the boxes smashed into the ground, spooking the ponies.

“What’s going on around here?!” Twilight repeated even louder.

Then, all of a sudden, Rainbow Dash crashed into the ground, looking battered, causing the smart pony and Spike to gasp.

“Rainbow Dash, are you okay?!” asked Twilight, concerned.

The smart pony’s horn glowed with a magic aura. Meanwhile, Rainbow Dash’s entire body was surrounded by Twilight’s magic. The rainbow pony was lifted off of the ground and placed onto her hooves. After that, the magic aura disappeared.

Rainbow Dash brushed herself off. “Yeah. Nothing can stop Rainbow ‘Danger’ Dash,” reassured the rainbow pony, confident.

“Rainbow Dash, what’s going on around here? Why’s everyone screaming?” asked the dragon kid. “And why are there boxes floating in the air?”

She frowned. “Seems like there’s a ghost in Ponyville,” the rainbow pony informed.

The smart pony became worried. “Is it the alicorn prince?” asked Twilight.

“Nope. A different one,” answered Rainbow Dash.

Before either one of the two could ask her what she meant, they were interrupted by an evil laugh. The three looked up to see a pony floating in the air.

“Fear me, for I am the Box Ghost! Master of all things square and box-like!” exclaimed the ghost worker pony.

The dragon gasped again, and then pointed at the Box Ghost. “It’s another ghost pony!” exclaimed Spike.

The rainbow pony chuckled while giving off a grin. “Don’t worry, Spike. I’ve got this,” reassured Rainbow Dash.

But before she could even fly off into the air to go fight the blue ghost, Rainbow Dash was held in place by the smart pony’s magic.

“Hey! Let go of me, Twilight!” shouted the rainbow pony.

“Sorry Rainbow Dash, but I need you to go find the others. We need all the help we can get,” she informed. “Me and Spike will stay here and distract the ghost.”

“What?! But-” Rainbow started but was quickly interrupted.

“There’s not much time, Rainbow Dash. Hurry,” said Twilight.

The smart pony released her magic from the rainbow pony.

She grumbled. “Fine, but if you two are in any trouble, I'll come right back in an instant,” said Rainbow Dash, serious tone.

“Fine. Just go,” said Twilight.

The rainbow pony flew off quickly, leaving the smart pony and the dragon kid alone with the Box Ghost.

He laughed. “A horse with wings and a plastic horn, and a pipsqueak lizard. This will be easy,” said the ghost worker pony, confident.

What the Box Ghost said had insulted Twilight and Spike.

“I am not a horse with wings and a plastic horn! I'm a unicorn with wings!” she shouted.

“I'm not a pipsqueak!” he shouted.

The ghost worker pony didn't care though. “Now, it's time for you to fear, tremble, and most importantly, cower at my power!” shouted the Box Ghost.

Tons of boxes had appeared and started to levitate behind him. The smart pony hoped that Rainbow Dash gets back with the others fast enough.

Meanwhile at Sweet Apple Acres

Danny had just finished off a slice of apple pie and a glass of apple juice.

He happily sighed. “Ahh. That hit the spot,” said the ghost pony.

Granny Smith was at the stove, cooking, while getting some assistance from the red stallion. “Glad ya liked it, dearie, cause dinner will be ready in a few hours,” she informed. “We'll be havin' mashed potatoes, green beans, vegetable stew, biscuits, and some apple dumplings.”

Danny was both impressed as all of it sounded good, but was kind of sad as there wouldn't be any meat.

Great. The one place I end up in the Ghost Zone that doesn't have any meat is a town full of vegetarian ponies,” thought the ghost pony. “If Sam was here, she'd love this place. As for Tucker, he'd freak out and want to get out of here as soon as possible, especially since they don’t have the tech that he likes.” He got up from the seat and carried each of the dishes into the sink before heading for the door. As soon as the ghost pony opened the door, he then realized something. “Wait a minute. I've only been a pony for a little while, so how have I been picking up and grabbing things easily without a problem?

Danny's train of confused thought was interrupted as the ghost pony then heard Applejack's voice. He looked ahead to see the rainbow pony talking with her while flying in the air sporting a face of urgency. Feeling concerned, the ghost pony trotted over to them. Oncein range, he was able to hear what the apple pony just said to Rainbow Dash.

Applejack was confused, but wanted to make sure that the rainbow pony wasn’t being mistaken. “Slow down there, Dash. Now, what are ya sayin' about some kind of pony callin’ himself the ‘Box Ghost’?” she said.

As soon as the ghost pony heard those two words, he stopped, shocked. “The Box Ghost?! That moron is here too?!” thought Danny. “I have to help them out somehow before he causes even more trouble.” The ghost pony continued to trot over to them until he was eventually noticed by the two.

“Howdy there, Danny. Did ya see the room?” asked the apple pony.

Danny smiled. “Yeah. It was quite…homey,” he said, while thinking the last part to himself. “Anyway, I heard you say ‘Box Ghost’? What’s up with that?”

Applejack nodded. “Yeah. Dash was sayin’ somethin’ about how there’s another ghost, but the rest ah couldn’t follow since-” The apple pony looked at her. “-somepony was talkin’ too fast for me ta follow,” she said. “Now, repeat what ya said before but not too fast.”

Rainbow Dash gave off a frustrated sigh. “There’s a new ghost in Ponyville calling himself the Box Ghost’ and is going around attacking everypony with boxes. Twilight and Spike are distracting him while I’m getting the others to help out,” explained the rainbow pony. “I came here to get your help as well.”

The apple pony, now understanding, had a determined expression on her face as Applejack remembered that her little sister, Apple Bloom, was in Ponyville right now, which meant that the filly, plus her friends, were in danger.

“Got ya’,” said the apple pony. She looked at the ghost pony. “Stay here at the farm with mah family, Danny. Ah’ll be back later to help mah friends out an’ find mah little sis while ah’m there.” Then, Applejack looked at Rainbow Dash. “Let’s git goin’, Dash.”

The two then galloped, or in the rainbow pony’s case, fly, away towards the town.

He watched the two leaving. “I hate to say this, but they’re only going to end up getting hurt if they go against the Box Ghost. Especially since he’s not that terrifying or hard to beat,” thought Danny. “I know that I’m going to have a hard time dealing with both them and the Box Ghost, while trying to control my powers, but, I’d better go help them before it’s too late.

The ghost pony then galloped away towards the barn. Once he was inside it, Danny checked to see if the cost was clear.

The ghost pony smiled, seeing that no one was inside. “Perfect,” he said. “I'm going ghost!”

Danny transformed into his ghost form.

“Now then, time to fly…” said the ghost pony, looking in the direction of the town. Then, Danny looked worried. “Oh man, I have a feeling that I’m going to end up feeling pretty sore after this is all over, but a hero’s work is never done, even if I’m not known in this part of the Ghost Zone.”

The ghost pony concentrated really hard while focusing on his powers. After a while, Danny opened his eyes to find himself floating in the air.

“Yes! I did it!” cheered the ghost pony. “Now, to Ponyville.”

Danny flew out of the barn, in the direction of the town.

Vs. The Box Ghost Part 1

“Watch out, Twilight!” warned Spike.

Twilight, who was flying in the air, and Spike, who was riding on top of her back, were currently battling against the Box Ghost and dodging boxes that the ghost worker pony had been throwing at them. Hearing the dragon kid’s warning, the smart pony flew out of the way as some boxes flew past them and smashed into the ground, ending up as a splintery, broken wreck.

Twilight smiled. “Thanks, Spike,” said the smart pony.

During the battle, Twilight had been using her magic to either catch the boxes and throw them back at the ghost worker pony who’d either go intangible or fly out of the way; or the smart pony would teleport out of the way, or create shields. As for Spike, the dragon kid was watching her back as, since a while ago, him breathing fire at the boxes had made things a bit worse for them, so Twilight had placed the dragon kid on her back and be the smart pony’s lookout.

More boxes had appeared behind him as the Box Ghost grinned evilly. “Surrender, or perish!” shouted the ghost worker pony.

A determined look had appeared on Twilight’s face. “Never! We won’t surrender to you!” she shouted.

“Yeah!” agreed Spike.

“Then perish as you are crushed by the power of my boxes!” he shouted.

The Box Ghost then sent a ton of boxes at them from different directions. The smart pony and the dragon kid looked around as they saw the boxes were getting closer and closer. Twilight could have teleported them out of the way or she could have created a shield, but with all those boxes, it’d be hard to get out from under them. Also, the smart pony had already used a lot of her magic in the battle and needed to conserve what she had left. Everything seemed hopeless, until…

“Watch out, Twilight! Spikey-wikey!” shouted a familiar voice.

The next thing that Twilight knew, she was pulled out of the air by her tail by somepony’s magic. The boxes crashed exactly where the two were once more. The next thing they knew, they had found themselves landing right next to Rarity whose horn was glowing with the same kind of magic aura that was on the smart pony’s tail.

She looked worried. “Are you all right, darlings? I hope that brute didn’t hurt you,” said Rarity, concerned, with an angry tone in the fashion pony’s voice.

Twilight smiled. “We’re fine, Rarity. Thanks to you,” said the smart pony.

Rarity gave her a relieved smile. “I’m just glad I was at the Spa with Fluttershy when Rainbow Dash showed up, telling us what you and Spikey-wikey were doing,” said the fashion pony. “We had to cut our spa date short and came as quickly as we could.”

She looked around, confused. “Speaking of Fluttershy, where is she?” asked Twilight.

Rarity looked next to herself, confused as well. “That’s quite peculiar. She was right next to me a moment ago,” said the fashion pony.

“Um, excuse me,” said a familiar voice.

Everyone looked up to see Fluttershy flying right next to the ghost worker pony.

Rarity had a worried look on her face. “What is she doing?! She’s going to get herself hurt!” shouted the fashion pony.

The smart pony held out a hoof in front of Rarity. “Hold on, Rarity. Let’s see what Fluttershy is up to first,” said Twilight. “Maybe she has an idea?”

The shy pony gave him a shy smile. “You’re scaring everypony and making quite a mess. You might even end up hurting somepony, too,” she said. “So, um, if you don’t mind, can you stop throwing boxes at everypony? Please?”

The Box Ghost pretended to think about it. “Hmm, let me see. How about…NO!?” he shouted.

The ghost worker pony’s shout scared Fluttershy. “Eep!” she shouted.

The shy pony flew away quickly and hid behind the fashion pony.

“Now, time to be packaged, boxed, and delivered by my Boxes of DOOM!!!” shouted the ghost worker pony.

The Box Ghost brought up his hooves, causing lots of boxes in the entire area that were on the ground to levitate into the air behind the ghost worker pony to join with the other boxes. The four mares and Spike looked on in shock at the amount of boxes, it’d be impossible for them to dodge them all. Just before the box ghost could unleash his arsenal a voice called out.

“Now hold on there, ya varmint!” shouted a familiar voice.

Suddenly, a lasso wrapped itself around the ghost worker pony’s hooves.

“What the…?” he said.

Everyone looked to see that the lasso was being held in Applejack’s hooves as she was pulling hard on it in order to keep the Box Ghost from controlling the boxes with his powers.

“Applejack!” said everyone, relieved.

“Don’t ya worry, y’all. Me an Dash came here as soon as we could,” said the apple pony.

As soon as Applejack had said that, Rainbow Dash appeared, flying towards the ghost worker pony at a fast speed.

“Yeah! You can’t get away from us now!” shouted the rainbow pony.

She became frustrated at Rainbow Dash. “Consarnit, Dash! Ah thought ah told ya ta take care of the boxes before they fall on everypony!” shouted the apple pony. Just before the two arrived in town, Applejack explained to her about what their plan would be.

The rainbow pony grinned. “You did, but I think the only way to stop the boxes is to take care of this guy,” said Rainbow Dash.

The Box Ghost only grinned back, evilly. Then, he turned intangible, causing the rope that was holding the ghost worker pony’s hooves to phase through, surprising the apple pony.

The rope fell out of her mouth. “What the hay?! Ah didn’t know that he could do that!” shouted Applejack.

Not only that, but it also caused the rainbow pony to go right through the villain and crash into the side of a building. There was a sudden gasp next to the mares and dragon kid, surprising them. It came from Pinkie Pie.

The party pony quickly galloped over to the hole in the wall. “Are you okay, Rainbow Dash?!” she asked.

There was no response for a few seconds until a groan left the hole.

The pegasus couldn’t believe that she fell for it again. “Ugh. Not again,” groaned Rainbow Dash.

There was an evil laugh.

“Foolish ponies. Do you all think that you can stop the Box Ghost?” he asked.

“They can’t, but I can, Box for Brains,” said a male voice.

It sounded like the voice was right next to the ghost worker pony. The Box Ghost turned to see who it was.

The voice belonged to Danny. The ghost pony smiled while waving with a hoof before decking him in the face, sending the ghost worker pony through the same wall that the rainbow pony crashed through. The Box Ghost’s control over boxes had ended, causing them to fall. All of the townsponies who were around the fall area of the boxes had galloped out of the way to avoid getting hit. Everyone, except Pinkie Pie and Rainbow Dash, was surprised to see Danny, an unknown pony.

Twilight shook her head to recover her senses. “The ghost Alicorn is here. Seeing as how he hit that other ghost, the two must be enemies or they know each other,” thought the smart pony. “I just hope he can help us out.

The ghost worker pony flew out of the hole and glared at the ghost pony. “Oh, it’s you. Have you come here to be defeated at the hands, er, hooves of the Box Ghost?!” questioned the Box Ghost.

Danny rolled his eyes. “Just because these ponies can’t stop you, doesn’t mean you’re undefeatable. Now be a good pony, and leave everyone alone,” advised the ghost pony.

Danny hoped the ghost worker pony actually listened.

“Never!” shouted the ghost worker pony.

His eyes glowed. Then, the boxes that were intact from the fall flew back into the air, behind the Box Ghost. He sent his ‘mighty weapons’ right at Danny, who dodged cleanly and flew towards his opponent.

Vs. The Box Ghost Part 2

View Online

Danny was flying towards the Box Ghost while dodging his projectiles, making it hard to focus on both that and flying at the same time.

Danny hoped he could defeat the ghost worker pony since the young pony didn’t have his other powers or any of the Fenton gadgets. “Give it up, Box Ghost. You’re just using the same old tricks,” said Danny.

The Box Ghost gave the ghost pony an evil smile. “Then perhaps it’s time I tried something new,” he suggested.

The ghost worker pony then used his power to bring the medium-sized boxes together to form a big wall and sent them towards Danny.

The ghost pony now carried a deadpan expression on his face when he saw what was heading for him. “Me and my big mouth,” said Danny.

He was quickly hit by the boxes and sent flying into the ground

“Augh!” groaned Danny. After a few seconds, the ghost pony got back up. “If I had my other powers, I’d be so kicking his butt, er, plot everywhere right about now.”

Meanwhile with the Mane Six

The Mane Six and Spike were doing their part by making sure to get any ponies that were still around out of the way of the battle, or to stop the boxes from destroying ponies’ homes or place of business by either catching them or destroying them. Though, knowing which ones were filled and which ones were empty was kind of a problem for the group. Rarity let out a loud gasp as she saw what was inside one of the destroyed boxes, and then pulled it out, revealing that the stuff inside were rolls of fabric.

“This is the fabric that I ordered from Prance more than a week ago!” shouted the fashion pony. Rarity then growled, angrily. “That uncouth stallion! How dare he do this!”

Applejack looked at her with a deadpan look. “We got more important things ta do than care about random stuff, Rares,” the apple pony informed.

The fashion pony looked back at Applejack with a look between anger and despair. “What could be more important than the expensive fabric that I wasted tons of bits on, Applejack?! What?!” questioned Rarity.

The apple pony rolled her eyes. “How about the fact that we're supposed ta be helpin' get these ponies outta here while the ghost alicorn battles the ghost pony that controls boxes? So that way, no pony gets caught in the crossfire?” Applejack explained. “And ta make sure that none of the boxes damage anypony’s property?”

After a few seconds, she sighed. “You’re absolutely right, darling. I don’t know what I was thinking,” said the fashion pony. Rarity then gave the apple pony a confident smile. “Besides, I can always just dust them off and they’ll be as good as new.”

Applejack nodded. “Darn tootin’. Now, let’s go an’ help the others before somethin’ bad happens, and before Dash even thinks about tryin’ ta fight that ghost agin’,” she said.

The fashion pony nodded. “Agreed,” said Rarity.

The two mares trotted away.

“By the way, have ya seen Apple Bloom? Ah didn’t see her when ah was comin’ inta town,” asked the apple pony.

She shook her head. “No, but I know that Sweetie Belle and Scootaloo are with her. They were planning to acquire their Cutie Marks again,” Rarity informed.

“Knowin’ those three fillies, they might get awfully curious enough by the sounds of the battle an’ will try ta get a closer look,” said Applejack. “But if they know what’s good for ‘em, they’ll know ta stay far away from here.”

The fashion pony giggled. “Well, there’s no way they would actually do something that dangerous, would they?” she asked.

The next thing that happened, there was silence as the only sounds around them were the two’s trotting hoofsteps and the sounds of crashing boxes. After a few seconds, there was now the sound of the two speeding up as their trotting turned into galloping. Both mares had worried looks on their faces.

The apple pony looked determined. “Of course, they would do that, Rares! Those fillies have done tons of dangerous stuff!” shouted Applejack.

“Less talking darling, and more hurrying!” shouted Rarity.

They then started searching everywhere for their sisters, checking every place.

Meanwhile with Danny

So far, the ghost pony had been able to land some hits on the ghost worker pony, but the others either missed because the Box Ghost dodged out of the way, Danny got hit by boxes, or the ghost worker pony sent boxes to block his punches. During the battle, the ghost pony’s eyes had been glowing greener than usual.

He laughed evilly. “Give up! You have no chance of defeating me and my boxes!” exclaimed the Box Ghost.

Suddenly, Danny’s eyes started glowing even more. Not only that, but his horn was glowing too. Then, a ball of ectoplasmic, green-colored magic appeared above it and was increasing in size.

“Would you just shut up about your stupid boxes?! You’re getting on my nerves!” shouted the ghost pony, closing his eyes.

A beam of magic energy was shot out of the ball of magic and headed towards the ghost worker pony, who was surprised and couldn’t dodge in time. The Box Ghost was then sent flying a few feet away. As for the ghost pony, he opened his eyes and was surprised as well.

Danny looked up and saw his horn giving off a green smoke. “My ecto beams come from my horn?” said the ghost pony. He then looked excited. “Awesome!”

The ghost worker pony recovered. “Is that all you’ve got?” he asked.

Right before Danny could say anything, suddenly a voice sounded off close to the Box Ghost.

“Nope! Now it’s my turn!” shouted a familiar voice.

They both turned to see that the voice belonged to Rainbow Dash, who was flying towards the ghost worker pony at a fast speed, front hooves stretched out in front of her. This time, he didn’t have time to turn intangible and got hit by the rainbow pony’s hooves. The Box Ghost was sent crashing into some store called the ‘Golden Rule Rulers’.

She looked down at Twilight and Spike, smug. “Ha! Did you see that, Twilight?” said the rainbow pony, confident. “We can hit them as long as they’re solid. So, we don’t need any spell to defeat them. All we need is our hooves and the element of surprise.”

Rainbow Dash’s confidence was short-lived as some pony shouted out something.

“My store! It’s a complete mess!” shouted a random mare. “Rainbow Dash, you’re going to pay for that!”

“It’s not my fault!” argued the rainbow pony.

That did not calm her down. “You sent him flying into my store! It’s completely your fault!” shouted the random mare. “Either you pay for the damages later, or I hope you have a good lawyer.”

She would’ve responded back, but Rainbow Dash was hit by a big, random box and was sent flying a few feet. Before the rainbow pony could hit the ground, she was caught in Twilight’s magic. She was then placed down, safely, in front of Twilight and the dragon kid, both who looked worried. Meanwhile, the ghost worker pony flew out of the store and back into the air, brushing himself off.

The Box Ghost looked at the ghost pony, an evil grin on his face. “I would toy with you a bit longer before destroying you, but I shall spare you for now. We’re evenly matched, or you’ve gotten weaker, but no matter, as I shall return,” said the ghost worker pony. “For I am, the Box Ghost!”

The Box Ghost then flew off in a random direction.

Danny released a sigh. “I never thought I was going to say this, but any longer, and the Box Ghost might’ve actually won. On the plus side, I can now use my ecto beams,” he said to himself. “Though, I’m going to need lots of practice with it, just like with my powers.”

The ghost pony looked down at where the smart pony, an unconscious rainbow pony, and Spike were. Danny was planning on flying back to the farm, but decided to check on them first.

“Hey! Is your friend okay?!” he called out.

The two looked up at the ghost pony.

She nodded. “Yeah! Rainbow Dash has been through tougher things and she always comes out okay,” said Twilight. “Though, we might need to bring her to the hospital, just in case.”

“Well, I hope she’s okay. The Box Ghost was kind of a tough opponent after all,” said Danny. The ghost pony couldn’t believe he actually said that. “Until next time.”

Danny was about to fly off, but then the smart pony called out to him.

“Wait!” she shouted.

The ghost pony stopped, and looked back down at Twilight. “Yeah?” said Danny.

“I was wondering if you wanted to be friends?” asked the smart pony

Since she doesn’t know that it’s him, the ghost pony had to pretend that he’s never met Twilight before. “Sure. Sounds great,” said Danny.

The smart pony smiled. “My name’s Twilight Sparkle, and this-” She pointed a hoof at the dragon kid “-is my number one assistant, Spike.”

Spike waved at the ghost pony.

“What’s your name?” asked Twilight.

“Uh, my name? Well, it’s…” he said. Then, Danny had an idea. “It’s ‘Phantom’. Now if you’ll excuse me, I must leave.”

He then flew off before the smart pony could say anything, and headed for the farm.

Few Minutes Later

The ghost pony flew back into the barn. Once he landed onto the ground, he transformed back to his normal pony self. Danny looked past the barn door to check the surroundings. Once he saw that no one was around, the ghost pony trotted out of the barn, heading towards the house.

Danny was relieved. “Good thing no one was around to see me going in and out of here. That’d be hard to explain away,” he said. “Now all I need is a good excuse in case anyone is going to ask where I’ve been all day. Should be easy.”

The ghost pony started running many excuses in his mind to see which one would work.

Meanwhile with Fluttershy

After the incident in Ponyville had died down thanks to the ghost worker pony leaving, Fluttershy had offered to help clean up the mess or take Rainbow Dash to the hospital, but her friends and the ponies had told the yellow pegasus that they got it. So, Fluttershy, reluctantly, flew back home. Once she was inside her cottage, the shy pony noticed something strange. All of the animals that lived in her home were all backed up in a corner, scared.

Fluttershy approached them, concerned. “Oh, my! Are you all okay?” asked the shy pony.

The bunny, Angel, decided to be the one to inform her.

He pointed a paw over the shy pony’s shoulder. “Behind you! Scary ghost!” warned the bunny.

That made Fluttershy tense up. “A ghost?!” she said.

The shy pony turned around to see that floating behind her was the Box Ghost.

He was grinning. “Boo,” said the ghost worker pony.

“Eeeep!” screamed Fluttershy.

She backed away from the Box Ghost as he gave off an evil laugh.

“You should count yourself lucky that I, the Box Ghost, will be living here with you, and I shall continue to do so until I feel like leaving,” said the ghost worker pony.

The shy pony pony was both scared and surprised. “W-What?” asked Fluttershy.

“Not only that, but you shall not tell any of your friends. Because if you do, then they shall feel my wrath,” said the Box Ghost, talking in a scary voice.

Hearing that her friends would be put in danger if she were to talk made Fluttershy worried. “O-Oh no!” exclaimed the shy pony.

He floated over to Fluttershy’s couch. “Now that we’ve come to an understanding, I ask that you get me some refreshments. I’m feeling a bit parched after that battle I was in,” the ghost worker pony informed.

She quickly nodded before galloping over to the kitchen while the Box Ghost sat down onto the couch. After a while, the shy pony returned with a glass full of ice-cold lemonade.

The ghost worker pony took the glass of lemonade from her, and then began to slurp up a few sips of lemonade through the straw. He happily sighed. “Ahhh. I could get used to this,” said the Box Ghost.

An Almost Normal Day

Danny was looking down at his plate of food, eating while also deep in thought while the Apple Family were talking amongst each other during the meal.

“Yer lucky that ah don't tan yer hide fer doin' somethin' so foolhardy like that. Ya coulda gotten hurt, Apple Bloom,” complained Granny Smith.

Big McIntosh nodded. “Eeyup,” he agreed.

Apple Bloom looked down at the table, frowning. “Ah’m sorry, Granny Smith, but Scootaloo wanted ta see Rainbow Dash beat up the ghost pony that she boasted she was goin’ ta capture one day. She convinced us ta go along with 'er an see the fight,” explained the apple filly. She looked back up from the table. “We got ta see the ghost pony fightin’ another one until ya an’ Rarity found us an’ pulled us away.”

Applejack frowned as she couldn’t believe that Rainbow Dash’s boasting could actually cause a problem like that. Well, the apple mare can believe that, it’s just that Applejack wishes that the rainbow mare would tune her boasting down a little...Actually, more like a lot.

The apple mare shook her head. “Ah’m gonna have a word with that mare tomorrow about 'er an’ 'er boastin’. As for you, ah want ya ta promise me that ya won’t do anythin’ that dangerous ever again, or even think about doin’ anythin’ that involves ghosts,” said Applejack. “That also includes Cutie Marks as well.”

The apple filly looked back down at the table again. “Ah promise,” said Apple Bloom. She looked back up once more, confused. “But what if Sweetie an’ Scoots want ta go do somethin’ that involves ghosts fer our Cutie Marks an’ they need mah help?”

“Don’t ya worry about that, Apple Bloom. Knowin’ Rares, she’s tellin’ Sweetie Belle the same thing, but as fer Scootaloo, ah have a feelin’ ‘er aunts are givin’ ‘er a talkin’ to as well,” the apple mare said. Seeing her little sis’ confused face, Applejack decided to explain. “Ah had Twilight go with Scootaloo an’ inform her aunts about what happened. Ya see, while ah do trust Rainbow Dash ta do the right thin’, ah just didn’t want ‘er ta be convinced by that filly ta not tell ‘er aunts in exchange fer bein’ more careful or somethin’ next time.”

The apple filly gasped, and then had an angry look on her face. “Scoots would never…Ah mean, Rainbow Dash would never…” said Apple Bloom. The apple filly had a conflicted look on her face every time she had paused. A few seconds later, the apple filly’s face had morphed into a defeated look of resignation as Apple Bloom laid her head onto her hooves. “Okay, fine! They both would actually do that.”

The apple mare only nodded. Granny Smith had noticed that the ghost pony was staring at his food.

“Is somethin’ wrong, dearie?” asked the old mare.

The apple siblings heard her and were now looking at Danny.

“Huh? Oh, uh, just enjoying how good this food is,” lied the ghost pony. Danny then shoveled some of the food into his mouth and ate it. “Mmm. This is delicious.” It really was delicious though.

The old mare smiled. “Glad ya like it. Now eat up,” said Granny Smith. “There’s plenty more where that came from, but don’t ya eat too much now ya here?”

Danny nodded and continued to eat. The ghost pony didn’t even notice the apple mare looking at him.

Few Minutes Later

Danny trotted into the room with a full stomach, and then closed the door behind himself. The ghost pony was feeling tired as the food coma was going to set in soon. He was almost close to the bed, but fell down on the floor, tired.

The ghost pony’s eyes were closed. “Come on. Move already,” he muttered. “It’s only a few more steps. I don’t want to sleep on the cold floor.”

Danny forced open his eyes just so he wouldn’t fall asleep on the floo, but before the ghost pony could get up, Danny’s eyes landed on the mysterious object that was located underneath the bed. It looked quite familiar to him.

The ghost pony realized what it was. “It can’t be,” said Danny.

He got up and trotted over to the bed. Once Danny was there, he reached under and pulled the object out. The mysterious object turned out to be one of the ghost pony’s parents’ inventions used to catch ghosts: the Fenton Thermos.

“It really is the Fenton Thermos. I thought I lost this forever thanks to that portal I went through,” he said. The ghost pony grinned. “Now with this, let’s see that box ghost be so smug next time.”

Danny then remembered that his ghost powers were on the fritz because of the ghost pony’s new body.

He inwardly groaned. “But I need to master my ghost powers first. If I don’t, I’ll get creamed again like last time if the Box Ghost returns again,” thought Danny. The ghost pony shivered. “What a terrible thought, being defeated by the Box Ghost.” He then realized something as an even worse thought came to mind. “Hold on. If the Box Ghost ended up here just like me and as a pony, then that means so did the other ghosts that had gotten sucked through the Ghost Portal as well, and they all must be ponies too. Not good. If they find out I’m here and that my powers are acting up, I’ll be worse than getting creamed: I’ll be destroyed.

Danny placed the Fenton Thermos onto the bed. He had a determined look on his face. “I have to start practicing my powers first thing tomorrow morning,” thought the ghost pony.

There was a knock at the door. He became worried and quickly hid the device underneath the bed where it couldn't be seen.

“Come in,” said Danny.

The door opened, and in walked Applejack.

“Hey there, Danny. Just came in ta check up on ya and see how yer doin’,” she said.

The ghost pony put a smile on his face. “Oh, I’m great. Ponyville seems like a nice place, and the ponies are pretty welcoming too,” said Danny. “And especially since I just found the Fenton Thermos too.

The apple mare smiled. “That’s just how everypony is in this ‘ere town, an’ that’s what makes the town a mighty great place. Everypony bein’ friendly with everypony else, Pinkie Pie with ‘er parties, an’ even me an’ mah siblings buckin’ apple trees and sellin’ the apples ta ponies,” she explained. “Anywhoo, ah wanted ta check up on ya an’ see how yer doin’, an’ ta see how yer settlin’ in fer the night. Also, ta remind ya that we’re doin’ chores first thang in the mornin’ after breakfast. So, ya better get lots of sleep now. Ah don’t wanna have ya doin’ chores all tired-like.”

“Oh, great. Yippee,” cheered the ghost pony, fake enthusiasm in his voice.

The apple mare smiled, not fooled by the fake enthusiasm, which to her was funny, but tried not to laugh. “Uh-huh. Well, see ya in the mornin’,” said Applejack.

“Goodnight,” responded Danny.

After the apple mare left and closed the door behind her, he then climbed up onto the bed and laid down, feeling defeated for some reason.

The ghost pony inwardly groaned. “Make that first thing in the afternoon. Well, at least things can’t get worse for me,” he thought.

A Few Days Later

Everything did get worse, but only a little bit. While during the night, Danny was training to use levitation, invisibility, and intangibility, and even unlocking his ghost energy blasts and other powers. In the forest, the ghost pony had crashed into some trees, into the ground, blasted a branch off a tree which came crashing down onto his head, etc. Luckily, none of the ponies of Ponyville were there to see Danny do that as he would never be able to live down the embarrassment if they did. So far, the ghost pony can now float on command, so there was that, at least. Danny was currently looking at himself in the bathroom mirror, and sighed. “Another day of doing farm work, another day of no ghosts appearing,” said the ghost pony.

During the days that have passed by, Danny helped out around the farm, hanging out with Twilight and her friends, training his powers, and waiting for Sam and Tucker to rescue him.

So far, no ghosts have shown up, not even the Box Ghost, letting Danny know that they were out there somewhere, just not in Ponyville, seeing as how there have been reports of ghost ponies haunting and terrorizing towns and cities.

I wish I could help these ponies, but until I’ve mastered my other powers, I’m useless. But, once I do, I’m coming for them,” he thought, frustrated.

Danny trotted towards the kitchen.

Meanwhile at Fluttershy’s House

Fluttershy was groaning as she was currently struggling to pick up a big, heavy bag of animal food from the closet.

The shy pony groaned again. “Ooh. Why did I have to buy the biggest bag of animal food?” she complained to herself.

Then, a groan sounded off from the couch, spooking Fluttershy. Laying on it was the Box Ghost, who was currently bored. Previously, he did go to other towns to scare ponies, but eventually it got quite tedious to the ghost worker pony. So, he started just doing nothing but eat, sleep, and fly around, easily spooking ponies without even trying. The Box Ghost had groaned because the shy pony was disturbing him.

“Can you keep it down? I’m trying to sleep,” he complained.

Fluttershy felt ashamed. “Oops. I’m so sorry,” she said. “I’ll try and be quiet so as to not disturb you.”

The shy pony tried picking up the bag while groaning quietly, but the Box Ghost still heard her. He was getting annoyed.

The Box Ghost floated up off of the couch and over to Fluttershy, letting out a frustrated sigh. “Let me do it. The sooner you finish, the sooner I can sleep,” he complained.

“B-But–” said the shy pony.

Before she could say anything, the ghost worker pony easily picked up the bag of animal food and floated over to the animals’ food bowls.

“Okay,” muttered Fluttershy.

Once the Box Ghost was finished pouring the food and was away from the food bowls, the animals swarmed over to their bowls, hungry.

He placed the bag of animal food off to the side and floated back towards the couch. “There. You’re welcome,” said the ghost worker pony.

“T-Thanks. You’re so strong,” said the shy pony.

That stopped the Box Ghost in his tracks, causing him to turn around and float over to Fluttershy. “Did you say I was ‘strong’?” he asked, intrigued.

The shy pony blushed, realizing that she was heard.

Fluttershy poked her hooves together. “U-um…Well…” she answered. “...Yeah.”

The Box Ghost floated closer to the shy pony. “I’m sorry, but I couldn’t hear you. Would you mind speaking up?” asked the ghost worker pony, dramatically.

At the same time, he needed to hear Fluttershy repeat what she said.

The shy pony was still blushing. “I-I said…‘Yeah’, she repeated.

That made the Box Ghost feel prideful. He then flexed his right foreleg’s muscle in front of her. “Go ahead and touch it. I know you want to,” said the ghost worker pony.

That made the shy pony blush even more. “Oh, n-no. I couldn’t,” said Fluttershy. Though, she did want to but thought it might be rude if the shy pony did do it.

The Box Ghost smirked. “Don’t worry, I’m okay with it. Besides, I won’t tell anyone if you won’t,” he said.

Fluttershy blushed a little more as, after being convinced that the ghost worker pony was okay with it, had her hoof slowly head towards his muscle. Once the shy pony touched it, Fluttershy realized that there was nothing to fear. Then, she started poking around at it, impressed.

“Impressive, isn’t it?” asked the Box Ghost, confident.

The shy pony nodded. “Y-Yeah,” answered Fluttershy, distracted.

They were at this for a while before the two realized and stopped what they were doing. The ghost worker pony flew back and laid down on the couch while the shy pony went to go help out her other animals, both of them blushing.

A Few Minutes Later

The ghost pony was helping out with cleaning as he was currently sweeping the loose hay that was on the floor.

“There’s got to be an easier way to do all of these chores,” grumbled Danny.

“There is, but I don’t know if you’d rather take the easy way out,” said an unknown female voice.

“I would if it means I get done much faster,” argued the ghost pony. He then realized something as his Ghost Sense went off. “Wait a minute.”

Danny turned towards the source of the voice to see a shadowy pony figure floating in the shadowy part of the corner of the barn. The figure floated into the light so the ghost pony could see who they were.

He gasped. “It’s you!” exclaimed Danny.

Meanwhile-Back at Danny's House (3 Hours Later after Danny Left)

“Danny, it’s time for Dinner!” shouted a young, female voice.

After a few seconds of no reply, there was then the sound of footsteps going down the stairs. Eventually, the person made it to the lab, revealing it to be the ghost pony’s human older sister: Jazz. She gasped when saw the mess, including the Fenton Portal’s destroyed control panel.

Seeing the mess and Danny not being around, Jazz had instantly put two and two together. “Oh no. Danny’s in danger!” she shouted. “I have to let Sam and Tucker know.”

The teenage girl quickly got out her cell phone and dialed a number. It rang a few times before a voice sounded off on the other side.

“Hey, Sam,” said Jazz.

“Hey Jazz, glad that you called me. I’ve been calling Danny a few times but he’s not picking up,” said Sam. “I guess he’s busy with the project Lancer gave us. So, I was wondering if you could–”

The teenage girl had to interrupt the goth girl. “Sam, I need you to call Tucker and get to the Fenton Lab, quickly. The lab’s a complete mess, the control panel to the Fenton Portal is destroyed, and Danny’s gone,” Jazz informed. “I think he got sucked into the Ghost Zone and is trapped there, and I need your help.”

Hearing that made her worried. “I’m on my way,” said Sam.

The goth girl hung up the phone.

Pandora's Box of Answers

Chapter 9: Pandora’s Box of Answers

The pony was a unicorn mare who was floating in the air with a box levitating in her ectoplasmic, green-colored magic.

“Pandora!? What are you doing here?!” asked Danny, shocked. “Shouldn’t you be in the Ghost Zone?!”

Pandora looked at him, annoyed. “I was in the Ghost Zone, minding my own business at my home, when all of a sudden, some sort of portal appeared and whisked me and my box away and we landed next to some place that resembles Greece. After that, I found myself-” The ancient ghost pony gestured a hoof at herself. “-like this, but I also found out that I can use magic, and that there are different kinds of creatures living in this world too, not just ponies, unicorns, and pegasi,” explained Pandora. She then looked at the ghost pony with a suspicious look. “You wouldn’t happen to have any involvement with this, did you?”

Danny felt himself sweating in fear. The ghost pony put on a fake smile. “Nope. I’m in the same boat as you, Pandora,” he lied. “I have no idea what’s going on or what did this.”

The ancient ghost pony had an unbelieving look on her face. “I met the Box Ghost yesterday and he told me everything about what you did,” Pandora informed.

Realizing that he was caught, Danny decided to come out with the truth. “That Blabbermouth Box Ghost. Next time I see him, I’m decking him in the mouth,” muttered the ghost pony. Danny cleared his throat. “Fine, you caught me. It’s all my fault this happened, but I know that Sam and Tucker are working on a solution to get me out of this part of the Ghost Zone.”

She shook her head. “Unbelievable. All this time you’ve been here, and you haven’t realized it yet?” asked Pandora in disbelief.

The ghost pony was very confused as he didn’t know what she was talking about. “What? What haven’t I realized yet?” asked Danny.

“That we’re all in a dimension that is separate from the Ghost Zone. Another dimension,” answered the ancient ghost pony.

The ghost pony had a disbelieving look on his face and scoffed. “Pfft. There’s no way that we’re not in the Ghost Zone,” said Danny. “We’re just in some unknown section of it. Uncharted territory.”

Pandora looked serious. “I know we’re not in the Ghost Zone. While I was traveling through this world, I met up with one of your friends: Frostbite,” she explained.

Danny looked surprised. “Frostbite’s here too? Where?” he asked.

“Somewhere cold in the North, but that’s not important right now,” said Pandora. The ancient ghost pony tried to get back on topic. “He showed me this map he had, the ‘Infini-Map’, and tried it out. It wasn’t working, which let us both know that none of us are anywhere in the Ghost Zone, and if we’re not in the Ghost Zone…?” She paused in order to let the ghost pony figure it out himself.

Danny thought about it for a while until his mind finally connected the dots. “Then that means…that Sam and Tucker won’t be able to find me if I’m trapped in another dimension, even if they get the Ghost Portal working. I’m going to be trapped here…forever?!” questioned the ghost pony, despairing. “What am I going to do?! I don’t want to live my entire life as a pony!”

“Don’t despair. Frostbite said that he’s going to go look for a solution and that we should wait until there is word from him until he’s found one,” reassured the ancient ghost. “For now, you should just do things normally like you always do until then.”

“But what about the ghosts that ended up here? Aren’t they causing trouble everywhere in this world?” he questioned, still a bit worried.

She nodded. “Well, it seems that whatever you did had caused portals to open up from this dimension into the Ghost Zone, dragging in not only me and Frostbite, but also some other ghosts as well just before they closed. Some of them have become ponies, while others have become different creatures,” Pandora informed.

That bit of bad news made Danny even more worried and with his enemies becoming different creatures, that might have made them even more of a threat. “Well, thanks for telling me, Pandora. What are you going to do now?” he asked.

“I’ve decided to travel the world again, but this time I’ll be taking in the sights instead. I did work my butt off gathering information after all,” the ancient ghost pony informed.

Before the ghost pony could comment, a voice sounded off near the barn.

“Hey, Danny. How’s it goin’ over there?” asked a young voice.

“Oh no, it’s Apple Bloom. You need to get out of here before she sees you,” whispered Danny. “It’s going great, Apple Bloom. I’m almost done.”

“Kay. Also, big sis wanted me ta tell ya that she went out ta help ‘er friends fight off some ghosts that had appeared amongst the trees near the farm, causin’ a whole heap of trouble fer us,” Apple Bloom informed. Also, that she should stay away from the commotion no matter what.

“Okay. Thanks,” the ghost pony said.

“Yer welcome,” said the apple filly.

There was the sound of light hoofsteps as Apple Bloom left.

The ghost pony turned around to see that Pandora had left while he was distracted.

“Me being in another dimension, having to master all of my powers, and both my allies and worst enemies, and the Box Ghost, were transported here with me. What else could go…” said Danny.

It was a few seconds as the ghost pony had repeated part of what the apple filly had told him before realizing something.

“Wait, there are ghosts near the farm and those girls went out to go fight them?” questioned Danny. The ghost pony groaned. “I can’t believe it. They’re off to go fight some ghosts even after what happened the last time.” He sighed. “I have to go help them and return before anyone notices I’m gone.”

Luckily, Danny only had one more spot of hay left to sweep up before being done. After that, he galloped in the direction of the house in order to go get the Fenton Thermos.

Meanwhile-Somewhere in the Apple Family’s Apple Orchard

“Protect those apples with yer lives! We can’t let those darn ghosts take ‘em,” said Applejack, determined.

The Mane Six, except Fluttershy who was hiding in fear, were currently battling against the ghosts as there were not only ghost ponies of different races, but also ghost griffins as well. Unfortunately, every time they thought they’d defeated the ghosts, there would be others to take their place. Not only that, but the ghosts that weren’t fighting were stealing the apples while the mares were distracted.

“Applejack, there’s just too many of them! We can’t stop all of them!” shouted Twilight Sparkle. “We need a different plan!”

Rainbow Dash was enjoying fighting the ghosts as she was able to land some hits on the ones that didn’t have enough time to turn tangible before the rainbow mare got to them. “Says you! We just have to keep hitting them!” she shouted.

Rarity was fighting some ghosts by swinging some branches at them while Spike was by her side breathing fire at the others that approached them. “Even if we keep on fighting them, Rainbow Dash, more will just keep on coming without stopping! All of this fighting is going to ruin my mane!” shouted the fashion pony. Rarity was worried that her mane would end up messy after all of this was over.

Fluttershy was hiding behind Pinkie Pie, who was blasting at ghosts with her party cannon.

“We need that friendly ghosty pony to give us a helping hoof. He bonked them good last time,” said the party pony.

The smart pony had to agree with her. “He did help take care of that ‘Box Ghost’ before. He might have a way of defeating these ghosts with his ghost abilities,” said Twilight Sparkle.

Rainbow Dash stopped in the air, scowling. “No way! I don’t need his help,” she said. “We’ve got this.”

Rainbow Dash’s friends could tell that the rainbow mare’s pride was in the way of making her think smart.

“Rainbow Dash, fer once in yer life don’t let yer gosh darn pride blind ya ta the fact that we’re losin’ an’ we need help!” exclaimed the apple mare.

The rainbow mare knew that she couldn’t argue as Rainbow Dash knew that her friends were right as they really did need help. As soon as the rainbow mare thought that…

“Hey. Can I join in?” asked a familiar voice.

Everyone saw the ghost pony smirking. He quickly flew towards the ghosts and pulled a hoof back before delivering a punch to one of the ghosts, sending them flying. He followed it up with a kick to the face with one of his hind hooves. Afterwards, the ghost pony grabbed two ghosts before slamming their heads into each other. Everyone watched as Danny was beating up the ghosts, leaving them pleasantly surprised. Rainbow Dash was only a little impressed yet jealous as the ghost pony was easily handling the ghosts.

Some of the ghosts had flown off, wanting to get away from Danny, leaving the other ones behind to face a beating from him. Seeing that the ghosts were defeated even though some had escaped, the ghost pony opened up the Fenton Thermos before pointing it at the ghosts.

“Please work. Please work,” said Danny, hopeful.

Luckily, his hopeful pleas were answered as the thermos released some sort of a vacuum-like, ectoplasmic green-colored energy tornado at the ghosts. When it had come into contact with them, the screaming ghosts started getting pulled into its maw, trapping them within the cylinder. The ghost pony was impressed as it actually worked, while everyone else was surprised at what he was doing.

“Ooh. Lookie at what he’s doing!” exclaimed Pinkie Pie, now impressed. “All the big bad ghosties are disappearing!”

She was impressed too. “Impressive. He’s trapping and containing all of the ghosts inside of that thermos,” observed the smart pony.

The rainbow pony looked at the thermos. “Can you make something exactly like it to trap ghosts too, Twilight?” she asked.

“If I could study and recreate it, then maybe,” responded Twilight Sparkle.

The group continued staring as Danny captured the last of the ghosts before placing the cap back on the thermos. The apple forest was cleared of all ghosts, except for the ghost pony.

Seeing as how he was finished, the smart pony decided to speak up before Danny left. “Excuse me, Phantom,” she called out.

That gained the ghost pony’s attention, so he turned to look at Twilight Sparkle. “Yeah?” asked Danny.

“I’m sorry for bothering you, but I was wondering if you’d let me borrow your ghost catching Thermos for a while. I want to study it and see if I can make my own based on it,” asked the smart pony.

He thought about it. “Wouldn’t you need to take it apart to also study the inside too?” questioned the ghost pony. Danny was only asking out of fear of what could happen if Twilight Sparkle did that.

“Well…Yeah, but you must have another one to put the ghosts in, right?” asked the smart pony.

The ghost pony shook his head. “I’m sorry, but I have only one of these things and I need my…uh, ‘Phantom Thermos’ to catch the ghosts. Unfortunately, I don’t have a way to send them back to the Ghost Zone yet,” answered Danny. He had no choice but to lie about the name of the thermos as the ghost pony’s last name in it would’ve tipped the group off about who he really was.

The group became confused.

“Excuse me darling, but did you say the Ghost Zone?” asked Rarity.

Danny nodded in response.

“What kind of place is it? If you don’t mind me asking,” asked the shy pony, curious.

He saw no harm in answering Fluttershy’s question. “The Ghost Zone is a dimension where the ghosts live. I usually catch ghosts and send them back there through my thermos, but now I don’t have access to the place anymore,” answered the ghost pony. “Until I do, I’ll need to find somewhere to contain them.” Danny needed to leave and make it back to the farm before Granny Smith, Big McIntosh, or the apple filly even notice that he’s not at the farm. “Now then, I must really be off. Until next time.”

Before anyone else could ask the ghost pony any more questions, Danny flew off in another direction. Everyone only stared in the direction where he had flown off.
