Spike jumped not knowing she’d woken up. “Geeze Twilight,” Spike replied rubbing his frills. Twilight teleported into his room her large wings opened. “I could hear you pacing. What in Equestria is going on?” “An adult dragon can’t pace?” “You have a reason, Spike. I’ve known you over the years.” Twilight closed her wings. “I do not,” Spike said matching her gaze. Twilight could tell that his gaze hid something else. She looked eye to eye with him now, he was as tall as she was while he stood upright. He held up a claw when she started to say something. “Don’t even.” “I knew it. I can say one name and…” Spike could feel the heat rushing to his cheeks. “Rarity.” The name echoed on the walls in Spike's room. “Aw come on Twilight, you know my weakness…” “Yeah, and it’s driving you crazy until you deal with what’s going on, it’s not going to stop or go away.” “It’s just me.” He noticed a shift in Twilight, a different look in her eyes the second he said that. “What?” He came down on all four and added. “I know you as well, Twi.” “Yes, you do, good friends should.” “So, spill.” Twilight shook her head. “This was Rarity’s idea.” Spike noticed Twilights horn starting to glow. “Wait…what are you doing?” What idea? He got the thought out as he vanished from his room in a flash of light. Opening his eyes, he found himself standing in another room. “Where in Equestria am I?” His frills twitched when he caught the sound of gentle breathing. This is Rarity’s idea. Twilight’s voice echoed in his mind. “She wouldn’t…” His vision cleared up from the bright flash of light and he saw his surroundings and knew in an instant exactly where he was. “She would.” With Spike's dragon vision he watched Rarity stir in her bed. Good thing she has her night mask on. The bright flash would have woken her up. “Spikey…Wikey…” Rarity let out a giggle in between the words. Spike lifted an eyebrow and took a step back when a high pitch meow broke the silence. Opal hadn't noticed Spike and his unexpected arrival. The sound caused Spike and Rarity to both jump when he'd stepped on her tail. Opal shot off out of Rarity's bedroom. Not bothering to look back. "Opal, darling, I was waiting on Spike to show up-" "I'm already here Rarity." Spike blurted out. Rarity's night mask flew off her face as she threw off the covers. Her unicorn magic illuminated her face, she took in the sight of Spike standing in her bedroom. "When?" "Um...while you were sleeping...and talking." Rarity's eyes widened. "A lady doesn't talk in her sleep." "You laugh too," Spike added. Giggling...how can I use that? "Spikey..." "You were saying my name and giggling when I arrived. Twilight said this was your idea." Rarity felt a bit of heat in her cheeks. "Yes, it was my idea." Twilight, I said before I fell asleep. Inside her head she could hear Twilight laughing. Spike walked up to the side of the bed and noticed a few feathers beside the bedposts where the head of the bed was. "Your cheeks look a little red." Rarity had momentarily forgotten about Spike being a dragon. Spike looked at Rarity's back hooves. "What were you dreaming about? It was me, wasn't it?" "Spike a lady doesn't-" Her voice trailed off when she felt his claw take hold of one of her back hooves. His gaze met hers as he lifted his other claw extending his index claw near the bottom of her hoof. "You wouldn't dare-" Spike called her bluff and ran his claw up and down her hoof. Rarity couldn't hold back the snort from her nose as it came out followed by a fit of laughter. "Spikey...Wikey..." When he stopped she took in a deep breath. She sat up and took Spike into her arms. “Okay, okay, I’ll talk.” She said still trying to catch her breath. Spike's eyes widened at being held by her. “Um…Rarity?” Rarity could feel the heat of his body wrapping around her. Her eyes opened and she realized that she was holding onto Spike. “Oh…my…I’m terribly sorry-” “Please don’t let go.” Rarity let out a gasp. Did he just say that?” “This is just like my dream, you holding me…well minus you laughing that is.” His arms came around her midsection and he pulled her closer to him. “What about yours?” “Um…well, darling, in my dream you’d used a feather and it was on my belly.” Spike pulled back when she said that so he could see her face. “Really? Why was I doing that?” He remembered the feathers and was able to grab one without her noticing. “Well, you’d interrupted my dream.” Rarity managed to say without letting her voice crack. “So…a feather huh?” Spike grinned and produced the feather in his claws. Rarity’s mouth opened slightly “You wouldn’t-” Her voice trailed off knowing the answer. “You…you…were trying to…to get me to…” She watched him twirl the feather in his claw. He turned the tip down and held it over her belly. He could see she was trembling, glancing at her face her mouth was also twitching. “I’m enjoying this.” He admitted. “I…I…” That was all Rarity could say as Spike twirled the feather on her belly. “I…I…like you?” Spike said and saw her shake her head. He lifted the feather off her stomach. “No…that’s not…” She said as her body shuddered from the sensation. Her sapphire gaze met his as she ran her hoof along his cheek. Spike’s jaw dropped open as the feather floated to the floor. “You…mean…” “Uh…huh…” Rarity said. “I know you feel the same way.”
