Biollante's new life

View Online

Biollante never thought her life would change so much since arriving in this world. Nor did she think she met so many new friends. Her Brothers would sometimes visit, though their new jobs kept them busy. But she didn't mind. As long as those two knuckleheads were getting along. She even got to know the other Earth Defenders but had a hard time trusting Destroyah. She would never forget had she almost killed her little brother but she has tried not to let that get in the way of her chance of knowing the Kaiju. There would be times a few ponies would try to enter the Everfree Forest and she would lead them out. Sometimes a young foal or colt would enter and she would make sure they left unharmed.

The only Ponies that ever came to the castle were the six that live in the village as well. Each of them was surprised and awe at what she did to the castle. While not able to replace the stonework, she has placed some flowers over the ceiling and covered some of the broken doors with long vines that move when she steps into them. Sadly, she couldn't cover the giant holes, but she was fine with that. It did let in lots of sun and water when she needed it. She was still a plant base Kaiju even if she had the genes of a Godzillasaurus.

She did spend time with the six ponies, learning much about them and their lives. Her two favorites were Applejack and Fluttershy. Applejack work on a farm and took care of the trees and the plants. Anypony that did that was a good pony in her eyes. Applejack even invited her over when she wanted to see it. Fluttershy, while meek and shy, took a while to warm up, but she likes how she was friendly towards animals and took care of them. She didn't mind animals herself, but they do get annoying when they think of her as a resting place.

Today, Fluttershy was decorating her mane. Biollante didn't mind. She was tired of her mane getting in her eyes. Made her wonder how both ponies and humans could get used to having it in their faces.

"So, where did you learn to do this?" She asked, surprising the pegasus.

"Um, my brother, Zephyr Breeze, works at Mane Event salon in Ponyville and I sometimes go to check on him. I might have...pick up...a few things...from him?" Fluttershy said, meekly.

"Oh? You have a brother?" Biollante asked.

"Yes, he's my younger brother. Though, he's not like yours." Fluttershy sighing.

Biollante could only nod. She doesn't know much about these ponies so she would listen to them as they told her about their lives.

"And done! What do you think?" Fluttershy asked.

Biollante turns to a mirror that Rarity gave her as a gift and saw her new mane. Fluttershy had taken some of her long mane and tied it into a bun. Simple, but kept her mane out of her face.

"I like it. If only Junior and Xenny could see me now." She smiles.

Fluttershy smiles. Glad she liked it.

"Oh, I just remember!" Biollante said, calling forth her vines.

Fluttershy flinch from the monstrous vines as they started to carefully bring over a teapot and come cups. They pour the tea into the cups before handing them to the two mares.

"Um, Thank you?" Fluttershy said, taking the cup.

The vine bow before returning underground. Fluttershy looked at Biollante, who was taking a sip of the tea. Fluttershy blinks and soon tastes it as well.

"Oh my!" Fluttershy squeaks.

She took another sip and smiled.

"This is really good tea! Where did you learn to make this?" She asked Biollante.

"From a Zebra. I met her during my walks and she taught me how to make it." Biollante answered.

"You mean, Zecora?" She asked.

"That's the one! She seems to love speaking in rhyme." Biollante said.

"Well, Zecora is a friend of ours too. Though, she didn't start out that way at first." Fluttershy said.

"Oh? Why's that?" Biollante asked.

"Well, when she first appeared, we mistook her as an evil enchantress because of how different she was. We thought she'd curse us when we followed her into the Everfree, only to learn it was the Poison Joke that change us." Fluttershy said.

Biollante knew about those flowers. She had a run-in with them during one of her walks, and since she was a plant herself, she could feel what other plants were saying. They were thinking she was just another pony they can joke with, but she quickly put a stop to that. So far, they never tried to prank her.

"So, how did you meet Zecora?" Fluttershy asked.

"Hmm, let's see. It was about two weeks after I first moved here..." Biollante said, thinking.

One week eailer,

Biollante walks through the Everfree Forest, trying to learn much about the new land. She was outright confused on why ponies find this place so weird. In fact, it reminded her much of home. But she knew that it wasn't without dangers. She was attacked by a few beasts that mistook her as a normal pony. While she didn't kill them, she did make sure to show them she was not to be messed with. She came across a small pond and notices how thirsty she was.

She leads down to take a drink before spotting somebody standing on a wooden pole with on hoof. It didn't look like the others she has seen before. As she got a better look, she recalls an animal that looks just like it. A Zebra.

"What is this I see? I rarely get visitors in the Everfree." The Zebra said, opening her eyes.

"Forgive me. I was taking a walk and found this pond to take a drink." Biollante said, sensing no evil in her.

The Zebra jumps off the pole and lands on the ground next to her. Biollante raises an eyebrow as the Zebra turns to her.

"No need to fear, it's really nice here." She said.

"Indeed, my name is Biollante," Biollante said, holding up her hoof.

"Biollante? An odd name indeed, but I'm not one to be mean." The Zebra said, shaking her hoof.

"My name is Zecora." She said.

"So what are you doing out here?" Biollante asked.

"Just clearing out my mind. The day looks quite fine." Zecora said.

Biollante nodded. The day did look nice. Did Celestia ensure a nice day? She did know that she could control the sun during the trip over here two weeks ago.

"Pardon me, Miss Biollante? What brings you to the Everfree?" Zecora asked.

"Hmm? Oh! I needed someplace to stay until a way home could be found. The Everfree fits my needs quite well. I'm not too good with crowds." She said.

"I see," Zecora said, watching as Biollante's mane covered her face.

"Augh! Stupid mane! How do ponies deal with this?" She groans.

Zecora raised an eyebrow but was stopped from asking questions when a loud growl was heard.

Biollante blinks as she realized that growl was coming from her. She was a plant, but she also still had to eat food as well. She was lucky this body didn't have to feed on radiation that much. Much like her brothers, the sun covered most of the radiation, though she take more than them, she does have to eat from time to time.

"Follow me, you must be hungry," Zecora said.

"Yes, I must be. I still learning about this body." Biollante said, confusing the zebra.

Zecora lead her guest back to her hut, which Biollante was a bit surprised to see. After making sure she could fit through the door, she was surprised again to see all the potions and masks around the hut.

"Welcome to my home. It quite the nome." Zecora said.

Biollante looks around, trying to get a better look at most things. Namely, the potions.

"You made these?" She asked, feeling her human genes kick in.

"Indeed, I did. But, please, don't touch them." Zecora said.

Biollante nodded and looks at the mask. She stops when she noticed one mask look almost similar to someone she knew.

"Papa?" She whispers.

The mask did look reptilian, but it was much different than the rest of the mask. It looks almost like her father, Godzilla Sr.

"Miss Biollante, are you still hungry? I have some soup ready for your tummy." Zecora spoke up.

She pulls away from the mask before looking at Zecora.

"Oh, yes, and please just call me, Biollante." She said, walking over to the zebra

Today,

"Wow. And Zecora didn't know what you were?" Fluttershy asked.

"Oh, she knew. She told me after we ate. What she didn't know was that I was the older sister of both Junior and Xenilla." Biollante said, drinking her tea.

Fluttershy never thought she would meet a nice Kaiju. The first time Xenllia, she was scared out of her fur when she saw his power. She then looked at the sun and notices it sinking.

"Oh my! I need to get home and feed the animals!" She said before turning back to Biollante.

"Thank you for the tea." She said, bowing slightly.

"Please, like Junior, don't bow to me. I'm no queen." She said, waving the bow off.

Fluttershy nodded before turning to leave.

"And do not worry. You will find no dangers on your trip back." Biollante called out.

Fluttershy nodded in thanks before flying back to Ponyville. Biollante watches her fly and smiles. Maybe this world isn't so bad after all.

Forest Lover

Biollante awoke the next day, feeling the sun cross her body. With the sun covering most of the food her body needs, Boillante head to the lower area of the castle to a small pond. She leads down to drink as a few birds sing in the air. She has only been here for a few weeks, but she has grown used to it. She misses her island, but the castle was enough to make her feel safe. Besides the Mane 6 and her brothers, she rarely has company, which she doesn't mind at all. Zecora rarely comes so deep into the forest but she wasn't bothered by it.

Biollante snaps up, her new ears hearing a new sound. Or rather, an old sound. She looks into the forest and spotted some eyes growl right back at her.

'Timberwolves, Again! She thought, readying herself.

She fought these things before. They were one of the first creatures that attack her during her stay in the Everfree. However, she knew they were really prideful and kept attacking her to get back at their first defeat. She steps forward, ready to teach those creatures another lesson.

"Do you really think you can beat me? You had tried time and time again, only to be crushed, torn, and melted by me. You still fail to understand that I'm no normal pony. I'm the guardian of this forest! I'm the daughter of the most powerful monster on the planet. I am Biollante! And I will not fall to the likes of you!" She told them.

The Timberwolves growls as they step out of their hiding places. Biollante saw that the pack was a bit bigger this time, meaning they were trying to out-number her. But Biollante wasn't scared. They may have the number average but they still had no chance against her. The Timberwolves attacked, suffering the same fate that they always have when fighting a pony that was also a Kaiju.

A Pony stood near the Everfree. She looks at it, her mind made up. She heard many stories about the Everfree Forest and Forest Lover was going to discover its secrets!

"Are you sure about this, Forest Lover?" Another pony asked.

The Green pony faces the one that brought her here. She gave a friendly smile and nodded.

"Of course! Forests have many secrets that are waiting to be discovered! Don't tell me any pony even wonders why the Everfree does what it does? Why it's so different from the rest of Equestria? Rumors have it that princesses themselves use to live there!" Forest Lover said, using her magic to tie up her lighter green mane.

"Well, before you go, there are two things you should know. One, there is a pony that lives in the Everfree. Her name is Zecora. She might help you understand the forest a bit better should you run into her." The Pony said.

"I heard. And the other?" Forest Lover asked.

"There have been rumors that the Everfree has a new guardian. Completely different from the legends of Gaia Everfree. But many believe that it is Gaia Everfree. She's known to let Ponies leave the forest freely, and ensure that the dangerous beasts leave them alone. She even saves them from the dangers of the forest. The only one that seems to know what she truly looks like are the six ponies that keep traveling into the forest." The Pony said.

Forest Lover nods. She's familiar with that legend. But she knew there was more to this forest than what most ponies know. Still, it wasn't going to stop her.

"Don't worry about a thing! I have faced the dangers of the Forests before! There's nothing I can't handle!" She said, smirking.

"You don't know the Everfree Forest." The Pony said.

Forest Lover rolled her golden eyes. She made sure her saddlebags were still on her before beginning to enter the forest, not knowing what lies inside. But to her, that just makes her more excited to find out!

Biollante sighs as the remaining pack retreated back into the forest. Sighing, she knew she'll see them again. She goes back to the pond in hopes to clean herself up from the fight. She stops when she senses something else enter the forest. It wasn't one of the six nor her brothers. It wasn't Zecora, she was still at her hut. She was used to sensing new ponies enter this forest from time to time. Most of them either came in to prove their bravery or by complete accident. This one feels different. If she was in her normal form, she would barrow underground and appear close to the pony. But this new body couldn't last underground as her real body can. So, she sends her vines to have a look.

With Forest Lover,

Forest Lover walks through the forest, taking in many sites as she did so. But she wasn't stupid. She did look up something of the other dangers that were well known. Even the Poison Joke. She didn't want to get pranked by those flowers. Still, her eyes scanned the area, trying to see what she could find to explain the way the Everfree works. What she didn't know, she was being watched herself.

Forest Lover kept walking through the forest, taking notes of all things she sees. She didn't understand why everypony thought this forest was so unnatural. Sure, the weather and animals did things on their own without anypony help, but that means there is more to discover. Not everything needs a pony's help to live. She enters deeper into the forest, deeper where the more dangerous creatures live.

With Biollante,

Biollante pulls back her vines and sighs. This pony was clearly not scared of what lies in the deeper parts of the forest. Still, there was something different about it. She even notices her cutie mark was a tree with a heart around it. Biollante began to think to herself.

Hmm, this pony is clearly unlike any I've seen before. Most of them as scared the minute they enter the forest. But this one seems happy to be here. I better make sure she doesn't get hurt.

With a nod, Biollante started to walk away from the castle, knowing it would be safe without her around.

Forest Lover kept walking, staying clear of the dangerous animals before finding herself near a swamp.

"Huh, didn't know there was a swamp out here." She said, looking for a way across.

Little did she know, something was watching her. Something that was not happy to see her in its territory. Forest Lover finally saw some rocks that were evenly spaced apart and started to hop across them. However, when she hops on the next rock, it moved.

"Whoa!" Forest Lover cried before jumping off.

She lands on another rock and looks behind her. Her ears folded back as her eyes widen in fear.

There, standing on two feet with four heads and one tail, was a Hydra and it was not happy to see her. It roars, causing the Fourth head to be surprised before joining the other three. Forest Lover waste no time in running, or rather hoping across the remaining stones. However, the Hydra had not forgotten the last time it had ponies in its swamp and slammed its tail in front of her path. Forest Lover started to turn around but found herself in front of the Hydra. She was trapped and the Hydra looks ready to attack her.

"REEEAAAAK!"

The Hydra stops as Forest Lover blinks at the unknown cry. She wasn't sure, but it came off more as a cry of agony than anything else. Suddenly, a vine with sharp teeth tore free from the ground and bit the Hydra's body. It roars in pain as another vine wraps around Forest Lover's body and pulls her away. She almost scream before she was dropped in front of a large mare. Forest Lover was shocked to see her. Its mane was like grass and had a glowing sack on her chest. The Hydra struggles before the vines let go and disappear underground. The Hydra looks around before one of the heads spotted them.

It looks ready to roar, but Biollante beats it. She sent out her roar, the same roar Forest Lover heard before. However this mare was, it's clearly wasn't what she appears. The Hydra looks ready to attack her, but found its feet wrap under some vine from the swamp. It trashes as it tries to break free.

"Come. While it's busy." Biollante said.

Forest Lover blinks, shocked to hear that mare talk. Biollante turns and walks away, knowing the Hydra would break free long after they were gone. Forest Lover blinks again before following after her.

Who is this mare? She thought.

Getting to know you

View Online

Forest Lover has seen many things during her trips into forests of all kinds. However, she has never seen something like this. The huge mare walked through the Everfree Forest and Forest Lover could have sworn some of the trees were bowing to her. She also saw the mare look behind her every five minutes, probably to make sure she was still there. But Forest was trying to place together who and what this mare was.

'That cry. It wasn't like any animal I know. And it sound like she was in pain. But the way she summons those vines. She's not even a unicorn! She's far bigger than anypony I've seen!

Forest didn't know why she was still following her, but it appears that the dangers of the Everfree stay away from the huge mare. They finally step into an open area with a castle in the middle, covered in all kinds of flowers. The Huge Mare then stops and faces Forest Lover.

"Now that you're safe, I have some questions for you." She said, her voice calm and curious.

"First off, who are you? And what are you doing in the Everfree?" She asked.

Forest Lover was a little unsure about answering this mare but took a breath.

"My name is Forest Lover. I was trying to figure out why the Everfree Forest was so different from the rest of Equestria." She said, trying to keep calm.

The huge mare started to think to herself before shaking her here.

"I'm afraid that secret is going to have to stay hidden. However, I don't mind you exploring the Forest of your own free will. But be warned, the dangers of the forest will not stop just because you're with me. Few dare to attack me at my home." She said.

"Are you Gaia Everfree?" Forest Lover asked.

The huge mare blinks before giving a small laugh.

"No, little pony. My name is Biollante, the Everfree's new protector." She said.

Forest Lover was surprised to hear her name. It didn't sound like any pony name she knew.

"Well, nice to meet you, Miss Biollante. I'm Forest Lover. I love exploring forests and learning what I can about them. " She said.

Biollante looks at her. Before starting to circle her. Forest seems to withdraw at that. It reminds her of her middle school days where the bigger mares would do the same and start picking on her when they were done. As Biollante finished, she wasn't smirking but actually thinking.

"Hmm, my brothers did inform me that all ponies come in shapes and colors. They have been here longer than I have so I'm still not used to this." She said to herself.

"Your brothers?" Forest Lover asked.

"Younger Brothers. I'm the firstborn. Through, we were hardly a family when we first meet." Biollante said.

She could still remember the first time she saw Xenilla, back when he was known as SpaceGodzilla. Though she was still healing from her fight with her father, she and Junior got along well. She tries to help her father when Xenilla kidnapped Junior but their fight destroys most of the land, leaving her unable to do anything, but watch and try to save the island. She was even surprised to hear him call himself Godzilla's son. It took a while, but there was proof to his claim. Much like her, he had the cells of her father, making him Senior first son. But, that first meeting truly ruins any chance of becoming a family. When Xenilla finally sat down and talk to her, she learned the truth of why he did that with Junior and why he fought Senior. She whacks him on the back of his head and scorns at him for his actions, but she understands his fear. She actually recalls seeing her father's power build up in him that also killed him, and she just learn that her brothers can use it too.

"Um, Miss Biollante?"

She was snapped out of her thoughts at the sound of Forest Lover's voice.

"Forgive me. I spend a lot of time alone. Sometimes I get lost in my thoughts." She said.

Forest Lover could only blink. From what she saw, it was clear that asking her about her family was a bit touchy subject for her. Before she could say anything else, Biollante spoke again.

"And please, drop the miss." Biollante said.

Forest Lover nods and decides to look around the area. She was a bit surprised to see so many flowers, some she knew, some she didn't.

"Did you grow all these?" She asked.

"Yes, it was to liven the castle up. It's my home now until the princess can find a way to get us home." Biollante said.

"The Princesses?!" Forest Lover asked, shocked.

"Indeed. I may look like one of your kind, but in truth, I'm very different. I'm sure you heard of my brother saving Canterlot a few months back?" Biollante asked.

"Wait! That giant lizard is your brother?!" Forest Lover asked, recalling reading the paper about it.

"Dinosaur, and yes. But I'm different." Biollante said, using the flowers to make an image of her true form.

Forest Lover's eyes widen and her ears flatten when she saw it. It was clearly a monster and it was not at all like the pony she was talking to.

"Since the world knows what Junior is, it's only fair I tell you about myself. Be warned, Miss Lover, if you try anything to hurt me or this forest, I will not hold back." Biollante warns, adding a growl to her voice.

"I would never do anything to a forest! My father, on the other hoof..." She said before whispering.

Biollante caught that last part and decide to ask later.

"Come with me, there are some refreshments I grew in case ponies come this far." She said.

Forest Lover blinks before following the giant mare again.

Forest Lover's mouth dropped when she saw all kinds of fruits and vegetables grown in an area behind the castle.

"Take as much as you need, but only the ripe ones," Biollante said.

"You...grew...theses?" Forest Lover asked, shocked.

She thought from her cutie mark she had a thing for flowers. But growing fruits and vegetables?!

"My new body requests I eat some food. Though, I only need the sun and some water, I eat to help me feel less hungry during the days there is no sun." Biollante said.

"I don't understand. From that image you showed me, you look like a creature that would attack anyone that crosses your path, but now? You seem very kind and is willy to let me pick the food you grow." Forest Lover asked.

"A monster I might be, but I'm different than what most think. I carry a soul of a human inside me. It's the reason I'm not as monstrous as some might think." Biollante said.

Though confuse on what Biollante meant by carrying a soul of something else, she did take notice on how well the food was grown. She might know a lot about Forests, but that doesn't mean she only studies them. She knew that some of the food grew in Forests and other places. Ponies help or not.

She heard her stomach growl from looking at them and pick the ones she knew that were ripe. Biollante watches as the unicorn carefully grabs the fruits and vegetables and made sure they were ripe.

'Hmm, she clearly knows what she's doing. Biollante thought.

"Where are you from?" She asked.

"Huh? Oh! Manehattan." Forest Lover said.

Biollante raises an eyebrow. She knew very little about cities besides the ones that Junior tells her about. But how in the world did a pony that loves forest come from a city? She mentions something about her father.

"Miss Lover, you mention your father. Is there something wrong with him and forests?" She asked.

Forest Lover sighs. She did hear her.

"Yeah, my father is not happy about my cutie mark or my love for trees. He's a city pony through and through. He finds that trees and forests are just a waste of space and need to be removed for more ponies to build homes. But father forgets that the forests are part of our daily life. But he doesn't listen. I have tried to get him to understand, but he refuses to hear me out. Even Mom wasn't against forests that much! At least she understands that forests are a part of life!" Forest Lover told her the truth.

Biollante narrow her eyes. She was familiar with those kinds of people. She mostly drives them away whenever they came to her island to cut down trees or try to turn the island into something else. But if the people wish to live on the island without harming the land, she lets them.

"I'm nothing like my father. I love the forests and the trees. I know there's more to them than meet the eye!" Forest Lover said, wanting to stay on Biollante's good side.

"Relax, I was watching you picking the fruit and vegetables. I know how much you care for the trees. But you must be careful of which forest you enter. But if I would to ever meet your father, know this..." Biollante said, opening her mouth wide, showing her sharp teeth.

"He will learn why I'm the oldest child of Godzilla Senior, King of the Monsters!" She roars.

Forest Lover took a few steps back. She took a breath and tries to calm herself. It was clear that Biollante cares for trees and forests as she does, but she was super protective of them and will not hold back on those that would harm them. She recalls seeing the flowers making an image of her true form. It was something she was hoping to never see.

Celestia's sun started to set and after having a cup of tea with Biollante, Forest Lover headed back to Ponyville, the trip still fresh in her mind.

She couldn't believe it. She met the sister of Godzilla! The Hero of Canerlot! And like Godzilla, she was a creature known as a kaiju. After moving away from the topic of her family, Forest Lover got to see another side of Biollante. She was really kind and didn't mind company, even though she prefers to be alone. As long as you respect nature, you were safe. If you don't, then she will give you her wrath.

Forest didn't want that, and she surely doesn't want her father to find out. She had to keep this a secret.

"Forest!"

She snaps from her thoughts when she saw the same pony that brought her was waiting for her.

"Oh, thank Celestia! I thought you were a goner!" He said.

"Hardly! Had a run-in with Hydra, but was able to get away." She said, leaving Biollante's name out.

"Are you hurt?" The Pony asked.

"Nope! Found some food in there. Don't worry, I pick on the ripe and safe ones." Forest Lover said.

The pony looks confused and before he could ask, the sound of singing fills the air. All of Ponyville stops what they were doing and listen. The three hidden Kaiju's all stopped to listen to the song, with a Changeling smiling at it.

Forest Lover blinks before feeling at ease.

What a sweet melody. I may not know the words, but I can tell they're something that eases a troubled soul. Was that you, Biollante? Forest Lover thought.
