It is a story about a changeling that was different and will make an impact in the pony world.
A changeling named Akita is not like the rest of her hive. Twilight and the rest of the mane 6 learn more about Akita. What will happen to Ponyville with this new changeling around. The story timeline starts on the day of the first Grand-Galloping Gala. She is the first custom character I created. Hope you enjoy! :)
It was a lovely day in Ponyville. All of the ponies were picking out their outfits for the gala, that would begin tomorrow. Many ponies would buy their outfits, but Rarity and her friends had a different plan.
"Okay," Rarity said. "Now it just needs some gems. Spike, could you bring me some gems out of the chest please?"
"Sure," Spike said, as he walks over to the chest. "We have 20 left."
"Perfect, just the amount I need to finish this gown." Rarity said.
As Rarity stitched and sewn, she had completed the dresses.
"I hope they will like them." Rarity said.
As her friends arrived, Rarity put the dresses on display. To her surprise her friends loved them.
"You made it just the way I like it," said Applejack.
"Yea, great job Rarity," Twilight said.
"Thank you, I'm glad you like them." Rarity said. "Now we're all ready for the gala."
"I hope it won't be a mess like last time..." Rainbow Dash said.
"No that was certainly not too... pretty." Rarity said.
"Well now that these fancy schmancy-dresses are done let's head to the spa after the hard work." Pinkie said.
"Yes, a good spa day would be nice," Fluttershy said.
"Then let's go," said Twilight.
"ahh." said Pinkie "Nothing could be as relaxing as the spa."
"You sure you don't want to join us Rainbow?" Applejack said.
"Nah, you guys relax, I will wait out here," Rainbow replied.
"Who wants to get a hoofacure after the beauty masks?" Rarity said.
Everyone agreed.
"And how about a steam bath after the hoofacure?" Fluttershy said.
"Okay, maybe just one steam bath wouldn't hurt?" Twilight said.
When they leave the spa, the ponies hear something odd in the bushes.
"What was that?" Rainbow said.
"Probably nothing," Twilight said.
"Goodbye, see you tomorrow!" Everyone says.
"Spike, wake up," Twilight says.
"ten more minutes," says Spike as he grumbles in his sleep.
"SPIKE!" Twilight shouts. "The gala is today!"
"Twilight!"
A voice says while knocking on the door.
"You forgot your dress at my boutique." Rarity says.
"Right, thanks Rarity," Twilight says.
"Goodbye"
"Now time to help Pinkie with those cupcakes-"
"Hi, Twilight! I already finished the whole batch; I am just too excited for the gala!" Pinkie says.
"Okay Pinkie," Twilight responds.
"Bye!"
In the distance, birds were chirping in tune.
"Hey, what's that sound?" Twilight says.
"Um excuse me Mr. Woodpecker, you're a little off cue," Fluttershy says.
"That was beautiful!" Twilight says.
*Time passes by. As the ponies travel to the gala, they hear something again.
"Here is my 1,000 cupcakes your majesty!" said Pinkie Pie.
"And here are the apple pastries." Applejack said.
"Great now could you put those on the table please?" Celestia replied.
"The dances, and mmm... the cupcakes are my favorite part of the gala!" Pinkie says.
"Oh, Darling. I love the dances too!" Rarity says.
"Attention attention every pony. I am pleased to announce that we have a special guest playing for us tonight! Coloratura!" Princess Luna says.
"Wow! I never thought Coloratura would be here!" Applejack says.
Every pony came up to dance when Coloratura started playing.
"Oh, the garden looks so beautiful!" Fluttershy said.
"Fluttershy!" Rainbow Dash shouted. "It's time for your birds to sing."
"Oh, thanks Rainbow Dash. We'll be out in a second," said Fluttershy. "Okay everyone sing the best you can!"
"Wow Fluttershy, that was the best show ever!" said Rarity.
"Oh, thanks, but it was all because of the birds," Fluttershy said. *yawn. "After Rainbow Dash and the wonderbolts perform let's head home."
"I must say Rainbow Dash, you are an excellent flier," said Rarity.
"Aww, thanks.' Rainbow Dash said. "Let's head home."
"I think that was the greatest gala I've been to!" Twilight said.
As the ponies headed home they saw something.
"Huh?" said Twilight. "Hello?" ...
"Changeling!!" Pinkie Pie shouted.
"What are you doing here?!" Rainbow Dash said.
"I... am" the changeling stuttered.
"Get it!" said Applejack.
The changeling flew away.
"I'll get Celestia!" said Rainbow Dash.
"Get back here!" Twilight said while flying after the changeling.
The changeling used a spell there was a circle of lightning around it, and the changeling was gone.
"What was that?" Twilight said.
By then, Celestia, and Rainbow Dash arrived.
"What happened, where's the changeling?" Rainbow said.
"There was a flash of lighting, and it was gone..." Twilight replied.
"I don't recognize a spell-like that..." said Celestia. "Twilight, maybe you can find it in a book?"
"I'll try" Twilight replied.
Twilight had been up all night looking for a similar spell.
"How is it possible?!" Twilight said. "A spell like that can't be found in any book, not even the changeling spell books." *yawn "I should get to bed..."
"Why, why can't ponies accept a creature like me?" the changeling said. "I just say, Hello, I'm Akita and they all run..." "I wish I had a friend," Akita said, as she gazed in her pond.
Back in Canterlot, Twilight and her friends discussed about the changeling with the princesses.
"A changeling in Ponyville, can you describe anything?" Luna said.
"Well, it has powerful magic, I couldn't find the spell it used while flying," Twilight replied.
"Hmm... maybe we should announce this to the public," Luna said.
"Yes dear sister, all the safer we will be," Celestia said.
"Every pony, there is a serious matter, a changeling has been spotted. Stay on guard and in your homes." Celestia announced.
Every pony quickly ran into their home and locked every window, and door. Some of Fluttershy's animals had gone missing. It soon turned night and Twilight chose to scout for the changeling during the night.
"At least no pony is out tonight," Twilight said. "Huh? What's that?"
The changeling was fixing a pony's house, then moved on to another pony's house helping their plants. Twilight didn't know what she was seeing. The changeling spotted Twilight and quickly flew off. Twilight had tried to find the changeling again the next night. The changeling flew back to the forest, and Twilight followed.
"Where could they be flying to?" Twilight wondered.
The changeling stopped in an open area, then used magic to reveal a cave. Twilight snuck into the cave before the entrance closed. It took the changeling a minute to realize Twilight was with them. Then it spotted her.
"Ahh! Please don't hurt me!" The changeling shouted.
"Why were you in Ponyville," Twilight said sternly.
"If I told you, you wouldn't believe me!" The changeling responded.
"I saw you in Ponyville, helping ponies while undisguised," Twilight said.
One minute later they got comfortable with each other.
"I'm Twilight, Twilight Sparkle." "I'm Akita."
"You seem to be good with magic," Twilight said.
"No, I only know some new spells..." Akita said.
"Well, who taught you those spells? And where is the rest of your hive?" Twilight said.
"I don't have a hive..." Akita said quietly. "I used to have one, but all the others hated me..." "I didn't want to steal friendship and feed on it. I wanted to leave, but I was too afraid." "Then one day, the queen banished me for not obeying terrible, terrible orders..." "As I searched for a home I practiced spells, that is how I was able to create this home." "It's been very lonely without a friend; will you be my friend?"
"Of course!" Twilight said. "You look a lot like a pony, that is unusual for a changeling..."
"It's what makes me different, though I have always wondered why," Akita responded.
"Wait a minute... you're a Leora changeling!" Twilight said.
"Huh?" Akita was confused. "What does that mean?"
"It means that you're a changeling with excellent magic and a pure spirit!" Twilight explained. "I thought it was a myth!"
"Wow, but no pony will believe that..." Akita said.
"I might be able to change their mind..." Twilight said.
"When will they realize she is nice?" Twilight asked herself.
Twilight headed over to Akita.
"Twilight! Did the plan work?" Akita said, sounding excited.
"To make it short, it didn't work," Twilight responded.
"Oh... I guess there's no use in trying... If they don't believe the princess of friendship, then who will they?" Akita said.
"Don't worry we will find a way. I have a plan."
They discussed the plan, but Akita is uncertain about it.
"Are you sure this will work?" Akita said.
"Yes, the ponies in Ponyville will trust you," Twilight said.
Later that night Akita and Twilight began setting up props that help with their plan. Just as they were almost finished someone caught them.
"Huh?" Rainbow said. *gasp* "The changeling!" "It must be trying to earn her trust so changelings can take over Ponyville!"
Rainbow Dash flew down to them.
"Alright, changeling, your evil plan will be stopped!" Rainbow said.
"What? no, Rainbow Akita is good, she doesn't have an evil plan!" Twilight responded.
"Well, Akita if that IS your real name! Release Twilight of your spell!"
"Wha- But-"
Akita went silent and lowered her head, then a buzzing sound occurred just behind them.
"Ahh! More changelings!" Rainbow said and dashed away.
Twilight gazed over to see it was not a hive of changelings, but a hive of bees.
"Should we continue?" Akita said.
"Why did you go silent?" Twilight asked, ignoring her question.
"Well, all ponies think changelings are evil, and maybe it will stay that way..." Akita responded.
"Nonsense" Twilight assured her. "I promise we will get every pony in Ponyville to appreciate you."
"You think so?" Akita said. "I know so," Twilight said.
The next day they had used the plan. "
Ok, so the plan is I will pretend to fall off a cliff, and you will be wearing a hood while you save me then reveal yourself, and the ponies will trust you." Twilight explained.
"Ok, but why do I have to wear a hood? Can't I just change?" Akita said.
"Well, when you turn back, they might think it was an accident," Twilight responded.
They had performed the plan. As Akita revealed herself the ponies still didn't accept her.
"Ahh! A changeling!" a pony screamed.
"Wait! They mean no harm!" Twilight said.
"STOP!" Fluttershy suddenly shouted.
"Every pony this changeling means no harm!"
"During the night, they had returned my darling animals' home."
"If Twilight says they're my friend, then she's my friend too!"
Ponyville agreed. Then every pony trusted Akita. They all lived happily ever after. The End.
