> Sisters' Reunion > by StormLuna > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- > Morning Discussions > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- It was a Saturday morning in Equestria as Aria Blaze was waking up. It had been over nine years since she arrived and life had been great for her. She had a great job being Dr. Colgate's receptionist and living with Colgate and her younger sister Lyra had provided her with not only a free place to live but companionship from two unicorns with personalities that in the past she never could have tolerated, especially Lyra and her cheerful ways. As she pulled herself out of bed, a wave of sadness washed over her. It was ten years ago to the day that her youngest sister, Sonata Dusk was found dead in her bedroom. Every year on this day Aria always did a fair amount of deep thinking, knowing that she was horribly unpleasant to her baby sister. She stood up and sighed, "This day is always the hardest and the more I think about it, I wonder if maybe I didn't drive her to suicide." She then began to head towards the dining room given that both Colgate and Lyra were early risers. When she arrived, she found that those two along with Adagio were already awake. Adagio was sitting at the kitchen table while Colgate and Lyra were in the kitchen, fixing them breakfast like they had every morning since the two moved in with them. Aria saw the sad look on her sister's face and asked, "You too?" This was the one day of the year that Adagio still found it hard to interact with her sister, the day that Sonata was found dead. She gave her a slight glare and nodded. This was something that Aria had grown used to over the years and rather than yelling at her or throwing a tantrum she simply took it, knowing that she likely deserved the cold reaction from Adagio. Once Colgate and Lyra brought them their breakfasts, they saw a look of sadness on the faces of the two sirens. Both of them knew what it was over and did their best to not bring it up. Colgate knew that they usually sought solitude on that day and let them have their space. Breakfast that morning was rather quiet. Despite having the sirens living with them for nine years now, they still knew not to try and have any cheerful discussions, which was a lesson they learned on the first anniversary of Sonata's death when they did so. On that day, Adagio went off on them and stormed out to go visit Twilight and Sunset while Aria called them the worst and sought solitude until the following day in the Everfree Forest. After breakfast Adagio's voice began to break as she asked, "Colgate, I think I'm going to go visit Twilight and Sunset. This day is always so hard for me." Colgate replied, "Dagi, I know this day is tough on you. You don't have to let me know about where you're going, they're the ones you go visit on a regular basis anyway!" Adagio gave her a slight smile, "Thanks Colgate, I'll be back tonight or maybe tomorrow." "Alright, I will see you tomorrow." Adagio left and remaining with Colgate and Lyra was Aria. Aria was hanging her head low and tears were dripping down onto her plate. Lyra gave Colgate a nervous look, one that Colgate returned. Aria had been sad on this day in the past but this year she seemed to be worse, almost distraught. After a couple of minutes Aria began to cry, "I feel like its all my fault Colgate, I feel like I might have driven her to suicide." Colgate knew a bit about what had happened but not enough to know why she would say that. "How so?" she asked. Aria continued to cry, "I was horrible to her, I was always so horrible to her. I killed her boyfriend, I always put her down, I always snapped at her....I just wish there was a way to bring her back and a way to bring her here to Equestria to be with me and Dagi." Colgate thought for a good minute before replying, "I'm sorry Aria but Celestia destroyed that mirror and even if she hadn't, I don't think she knows any spells to revive the dead." What she said caused thoughts to start running through Aria's head. She began to wonder if perhaps Celestia could fix that mirror and then maybe learn a resurrection spell of some sort. She asked, "Colgate, what if Celestia could fix it and what if she does know a resurrection spell? Do you think she'd take me to the human world so we could bring her back?" Colgate had always liked Aria and tried to do what she could for her. Despite her being completely against this and believing that it may jeopardize her standing with Princess Celestia, the look of despair in her receptionist's eyes was more than she could handle. She suggested, "How about you and I take a little trip up to Canterlot and see if Celestia will see us?" Aria's eyes lit up as she asked, "Really? You'd be willing to do that?" Colgate gave her a smile, "I would now let's finish eating and then get going!" Aria was thrilled that there was even a slight chance that she might be able to bring Sonata back. She hadn't felt that optimistic since the days back when she was a siren and she and her sisters had a chance of conquering all of Equestria. As the two were headed to the train station, Aria couldn't help but be happy. She knew that there may be a chance that Celestia would tell her that either she couldn't fix the mirror, she couldn't resurrect Sonata or that she might simply refuse to. Still though, a hope was better than nothing at all to her. Colgate didn't have the same optimism, or enthusiasm for that matter. She had her concerns that Celestia might see Aria wanting to do this as a way to cause Equestria problems and wind up throwing her in Tartarus. What bothered her even further though was that this could damage her reputation with Princess Celestia. She knew that Celestia wasn't going to want to have to attempt to repair a destroyed relic, much less go to the human world. > A Visit With Celestia > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- After what was a somewhat tense trip up to Canterlot, Colgate and Aria disembarked from the train and headed to the palace. As they were headed there Colgate said, "Aria, if she says no to anything, please don't go getting upset and please please don't call her the worst. I know that would anger her greatly and that may jeopardize both of our standings with her." "I won't, I know that disrespecting anypony is a mistake." replied Aria. The two continued their journey to the palace and once they arrived they were greeted by two guards. One of the guards was present on the day that Colgate took Aria before Princess Celestia and given how good his memory was, he gave the two a smile, "Colgate, Aria, I take it you need to speak to the princess?" Colgate replied, "Yes, Aria has something she needs to ask her, well a couple of things actually." "Very well, let me go see if she will see you." The guard headed into the palace while the other guard remained standing at attention, paying little attention to the two unicorns standing before him. Several minutes later the guard returned and continued, "Princess Celestia has agreed to see you two, follow me." The two followed the guard to the throne room and upon arrival, both were greeted by Celestia, "Colgate, Aria, it is so good to see you. So to what do I owe this visit." Colgate stated, "Well Aria really wants to talk to you about some things, things that are specific about this day in her life." Celestia motioned for the two to come closer and she asked, "Aria, what is it you want to talk to me about?" Aria was nervous, very nervous. She hesitated to start telling Celestia until she received a nudge and words of encouragement from her boss. She began, "Um well, this day is very hard on me. It was ten years ago to the day that my sister and I found my younger sister Sonata Dusk dead and whenever this day comes, I always feel like her death might have been my fault." Given that Aria had only brought up the name Sonata a couple times around Celestia she had no knowledge of who Sonata was nor did she know about her having a younger sister. She asked, "Younger sister? You have a younger sister?" Aria replied, "Yes, her name was Sonata Dusk and like I said it was ten years ago to the day that she was found dead. She had buried her face in her pillows overnight and my sister believes I drove her to suicide and the more I think about it, I think she may be right." This really piqued Celestia's interest. "How could you have driven her to suicide? I don't see how a friendly pony like you could do that to anypony." Aria hung her head low, "Your Majesty, in the human world neither Adagio or I were nice and friendly. We were both very hateful individuals and I treated Sonata like dirt because of her cheerful personality. While she never really acted like a human, Adagio and I did and one thing I have noticed since returning to Equestria is that ponies and humans are very different. I have yet to meet a single pony who behaves like a human." Celestia asked, "Aria, you are bringing all this up but what is it you want to ask me?" Aria froze upon the question until she received another nudge from Colgate. She then continued, "Well I know you will likely say no but I am wondering if you could fix that mirror, we could go to the human world and we could dig Sonata up and you could resurrect her. I really wish I had my sister back." Celestia developed a scowl on her face and sighed, "Aria Blaze, having a connection to the human world again is something that I do not want. That place has caused Equestria enough problems and even if I was to agree to fix that mirror, I would have to bring Sonata's remains back here to resurrect her....well that and using necromancy magic is forbidden. Lord Grogar used that long ago and it was because of his use of it that it was forbidden." Aria hung her head low and began to cry, "It's alright your Majesty. I understand your reasoning, you have a good day." Aria and Colgate turned around preparing to leave until Celestia yelled, "Aria, wait." The two turned around and Aria asked, "Yes your Majesty?" While Princess Celestia was not in favor of what it was Aria was asking of her, Aria's respectful reaction and the fact that she seemed truly remorseful of what had happened involving her sister she changed her mind. "Aria, I can tell you feel bad for what happened with your sister and I have changed my mind. How about you and Colgate follow me to Canterlot Tower. That is where the mirror is being stored and where the spells required for what you want me to cast are located." Aria jumped up and exclaimed, "Really, you're going to do this?" Celestia gave her a warm smile, "I am, now follow me." Aria and Colgate followed Celestia as she was leading them to the tower. Colgate wasn't exactly sure what to think of the whole situation. She knew that the mirror had done nothing but cause Equestria problems and if Celestia was to repair it, that nothing but problems could be in Equestria's future. She also cared deeply about her receptionist as she had grown to view her as a close friend, perhaps her closest friend, and wanted her to be happy. Once they reached Canterlot Tower, Celestia inserted her horn into a hole and released some magic into it, causing the door to slide open. Celestia motioned for the two to follow her in and the two would be shocked when they saw what was in there. There standing right in front of them was the mirror, perfectly restored. Aria's eyes grew wide as she asked, "Your Majesty, how can this be? I thought you destroyed that thing." Celestia replied, "I did but it was a year ago or so that things began to run through my mind so I decided to right a wrong, a wrong that hurt the feelings of at least two individuals." Aria knew what she was talking about but Colgate did not. She gasped, "But you destroying that thing was for the best! Who could possibly be distraught over it?" Celestia held her head low and sighed, "Sunset Shimmer, Twilight Sparkle and perhaps even Adagio." Another thing they noticed is that all the equipment that Twilight had hooked up to it in the past was hooked up to it. This caused Aria to become very happy, "I know you have that thing fixed but what about resurrection magic being forbidden? I can't ask you to break any laws!" Celestia gave her a warm smile, "Oh don't worry about that. I do know resurrection magic and I know if we bring her back here and I resurrect her, nopony will even know....well except for Sunset, Adagio and Twilight and I'm sure they won't say anything." She saw Aria's smile grow bigger as she added, "Whenever your ready Aria, as much as I don't want to go to the human world, I will activate this and we can bring your sister back." Celestia then activated the mirror and Colgate looked at the now glowing object with a look of concern. She had no desire to set hoof in the human world but decided to see if she could do something else. She turned to Celestia and asked, "Princess Celestia, do you think I could just wait here and make sure nothing unsavory comes through that thing?" Celestia giggled, "I figured you wouldn't want to come and besides, we do need somepony to keep Equestria safe!" Celestia and Aria turned towards the mirror and walked through. Colgate wasn't sure what exactly would happen but she did have a very strong feeling that she was going to have a third siren turned unicorn to help access her magic. > Return to the Human World > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- After stepping into the mirror, Celestia and Aria found themselves flying through a portal of swirling colors. The first thing that ran through Aria's mind as this was happening was not a pleasant one, it was of her and her sisters being banished from Equestria. When they came out the other side, they landed on their hands and knees. Both were humans once more and much to the displeasure of both, they were also without magic. When the two arrived, it was daylight and there were plenty of people out and about. Both Celestia and Aria tried to stand up but both fell forward. Aria groaned, "Oh shit, I've been a pony for so long I don't even remember how to walk upright!" Celestia reprimanded her, "Aria Blaze, watch your language! I do not want you cursing like a fucking....." Aria began to snicker over Celestia's use of profanity causing her to continue, "Aria, let's do this. If we're here for too long we'll start behaving like humans and treat everyone like shit." Once the two got up they noticed five individuals off in the instance. Celestia took a look at them and noticed that they looked like Twilight's friends for the most part. She pointed at them and said, "Aria, who are those girls? They look a lot like Twilight's friends." Aria's jaw dropped open. It was not so much that it was Twilight's Rainboom friends but that they hadn't aged a day. She gasped, "Princess Celestia, they haven't aged a day! It is like not a single second has passed here since I came home." Celestia stood there for a moment thinking about the whole situation regarding the time situation, "You know, perhaps time doesn't pass here while one is in Equestria." She saw the girls approaching and added, "We better get going before they get here. I really don't think that anypony, I mean anyone, should see us." They began to head off in the direction of the cemetery but would be stopped by the Rainbooms. Applejack was the first to say anything, "Howdy Principal Celestia. What are y'all doing with Aria?" Celestia knew that she couldn't go revealing her identity and that she would have to pretend to be the human Celestia. She replied, "Aria just wanted to talk about some things. You know she's had a rough time here lately and she needed someone to talk to." This made no sense to any of them because the Aria Blaze they knew was the last person who would want to spend her free time around the school nor would she want to talk to Principal Celestia unless it was completely necessary. Rainbow questioned, "Aria, something doesn't seem right. Normally you'd be holed up at home avoiding Adagio and why in the world are you with Principal Celestia?" Rarity asked, "Speaking of Adagio, have you seen her? We went to Sunset's house neither one of them were home." Her eyes grew wide as she added, "You didn't do anything to them did you?" This caused Aria to panic and become angry. "No I did not do anything to them. Ugh I swear, you are the worst!" Aria then took off running towards the cemetery, causing Celestia to run after her, "Aria, wait! Why did you get so angry?" Once Aria had finally got to the cemetery she stopped and waited for Celestia to catch up. She was still irked, "Princess Celestia, I think they're on to us! I think they know we're up to something, ugh I swear they are....." Celestia finished her sentence, "The worst?" Aria had a bit of a smile on her face, "You're catching on fast." She paused momentarily before continuing, "Now we need to get them dug up and get them back to Equestria, I don't want to have to be in this cursed place any longer than I need to be." Celestia added, "Nor do I." Aria began to lead Celestia towards Sonata's grave. When they finally reached it Aria held her head low and sighed, "I'm sorry Sonata, I'm sorry for how I treated you." Celestia began to look around and asked, "Aria, how are we supposed to dig her up? It isn't like we have any shovels." Aria looked forward and saw what appeared to be a tool shed and rushed to it. Almost immediately she found a couple of shovels and said, "Your Majesty, we have shovels now." She returned to Sonata's grave and looked off to the left towards the one of her boyfriend. She wasn't sure what Celestia would think of this but she knew that unless he were resurrected too that Sonata would be devastated. She asked, "Princess Celestia, do you think that we could dig up her boyfriend and you could resurrect him too?" Celestia sighed, "You really want me to revive someone who was never an Equestrian?" Aria replied, "I do. I know that if Sonata is revived but he isn't that she will be really sad and I don't want to see that." Celestia knew pretty much nothing about the situation involving the boyfriend but she did know that if what Aria was saying was true, that Sonata would be miserable living in Equestria without her beloved. Despite it going to require twice as much work she replied, "Yes Aria, we can. Now let's get digging, this is going to take a while." The two got to digging and neither one was all that muscular so the digging was slow going. This was frustrating Celestia and she yelled, "This is hopeless, we're never going to get them dug up." Aria groaned, "I know...." she paused for a moment before adding, "I've got it! Flash Sentry has a heart of gold, I know he will help us!" She began to head back towards the school and yelled, "Follow me, we need to get Flash and if there are any other strong boys around, we have to get them and bring them here." Celestia knew plenty about Flash Sentry and how Twilight had a crush on him when she was in her human form. She initially thought this would be a good idea until she thought about what he would think about them not only digging up bodies but also taking them back to Equestria. She was not real big on the idea of anypony knowing what their true plans were. She sighed, "Aria, as much as I would like to ask for help, we can't have random people knowing about our plans." Aria groaned, "Very well, let's keep digging." The two continued to dig until the sun was dropping below the horizon. By that time they had finally uncovered the caskets but then they realized there was one problem, getting them out of the ground. Celestia wasn't happy and neither was Aria. "How are we supposed to get them out of the ground? asked Celestia. Aria stood there in thought for a moment but then came up with something. Something then crossed her mind, magic. She turned to Celestia and asked, "Your Majesty, do you have some sort of spell that would allow us to go through the portal but remain ponies? If we have our magic, we can just levitate these babies back home!" Celestia exclaimed, "Aria, you're a genius and under the cover of darkness this would be a piece of cake!" She got a huge smile in her face and added, "Speaking of cake, I'm hungry. Let's go home for a bit and have some cake!" Aria's stomach replied, "I agree, let's go home and have some cake. Then you can hopefully find and cast a spell and then we can take care of this." The two then headed back towards the portal a bit frustrated. Before coming back to the human world, neither one even thought about how impossible it would be to remove caskets from the ground. Despite this though, the two were not going to give up so easily. Celestia knew how badly Aria wanted this and was going to find that spell and if one didn't exist, she'd write one. > Retrieval and Resurrections > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- Once Aria and Celestia had went back through the portal they were greeted by Colgate, "What happened? Were you two unable to get her remains back here?" Celestia replied, "It was hard enough getting those caskets uncovered but getting those out of the ground and bringing them back here would be impossible so I am probably going to have to either write my own magic or see if there is a spell to where we can remain ponies and use our magic to get them out of the ground." Colgate noticed something about what Celestia said. She used the term caskets, as if there was more than one that they were going to be exhuming. She asked, "Caskets? Are you bringing more than one body back here?" Aria replied, "I talked to the princess about reviving her boyfriend too. I know that if we only revived Sonata that she would be miserable and lonely and I don't want my sister being sad like that." Colgate knew about how Aria was in the human world and knew how she hated her boyfriend enough that she killed him and this shocked her yet made her happy. She gave her a smile, "Aria, now I know that you have shed the last parts of your human self. The human you would never want to revive him, much less see Sonata be happy." Aria replied, "Colgate, she is my sister and Princess Celestia has agreed to help me right not just one but two wrongs." Celestia added, "I have." She deactivated the mirror and suggested, "Now how about we go and have some cake. After that, I'm simply going to write my own magic to make sure that we remain ponies." Something then began to cross her mind, having to write a separate spell to cast it on herself. She added, "It is going to take twice as long to write magic because I know there will have to be a separate spell to cast it on myself." Colgate was unsure what kind of message that Celestia was sending there but wanted to help get this whole thing done more quickly. She offered, "Princess Celestia, so you won't have to write two separate spells, I will go with her. That way we can bring them back, you can resurrect them and assuming she becomes a unicorn like her sisters, I will aid her in accessing her magic." Aria questioned, "What if her boyfriend becomes a unicorn too?" Colgate replied, "Well I would help him too because every unicorn should have good magic." Celestia commented, "Good but the cake is almost done and I have one rule for while I'm having cake, no serious discussions! I want my guests to enjoy their cake as much as I want to enjoy mine!" After having their cake the three returned to Canterlot tower where the mirror was. Colgate noticed that Celestia did not go looking for a spell. She asked, "Your Majesty, aren't you going to go looking for a spell to keep us ponies?" Celestia replied, "I don't think such a spell exists so I'm going to write one myself." She headed to the back of the tower where there was a desk. She requested, "And could you remain quiet while I do this. I need to be able to focus." The two agreed and Celestia began to think of not only the proper wording but the energies that would be required. This was the type of spell that nopony ever thought would be necessary since nopony knew anything about how the world was on the other side of the mirror before Twilight went there, save Clover the Clever when he buried the memory stone there. She continued to sit there in frustration until something came to her mind, "Right now they are ponies but their trip will change that, With their change they will no longer have their magic, Doing anything without powers could be tragic, With this spell we can change that. Unicorns they currently are and unicorns they shall still be, With their powers any task they can do, This task must be done and falling short they must not do, The results of being ponies is something all will be happy to see!" Celestia approached the two and said, "Alright, hopefully this will work. This kind of magic has never been attempted before so if it doesn't, don't be surprised or upset." Aria replied, "We won't. I know magic isn't easy to write." Celestia nodded and grasped the two in her aura before casting the spell. Once she cast the spell she activated the mirror and said, "Now if you two go through the portal and still wind up as humans, come back immediately and I'll try to write another spell. If you remain unicorns, go get those remains so I can resurrect them." The two nodded and stepped into the mirror. Like it always was, the two found themselves flying through a swirling portal of colors until they came out the other side. Much to their delight they remained unicorns. They looked at one another and Colgate exclaimed, "Good, now let's go do this!" Aria agreed and they headed towards the cemetery. It was pitch dark as there was no moon out that night so both of them lit up their horns to create some light. Once they got across the street they saw a car coming in the distance. Aria began to panic, "Colgate, power down your horn and get down! We can't be seen by anypony, I mean anyone!" Both powered down their horns and got on the ground and laid on their sides, making it to where they could not be seen. Once the vehicle had passed, the two got up and continued their journey to the cemetery, hoping that no one would see them or worse, catch them. Once they arrived at the cemetery, things were just as they were when Aria and Celestia had left. Colgate looked at the headstones and read the names out loud, "Sonata Dusk and Storm Lewis....huh, Storm is an odd name but then again not everyone from this world may have pony names." Aria flared up her horn and suggested, "How about we do this and get back home. The sooner we do this the sooner I will have my sister back." Colgate agreed, "Very well. You grab Sonata's casket and I will grab Storm's alright." Aria nodded and the two grasped the caskets in their auras and lifted them out of the ground. Despite her having lived in Equestria for nearly a decade, carrying Sonata was not the easiest thing. She however was not going to show any signs of discomfort that this was really testing her magic. To her getting Sonata back to Equestria was her number one priority, that along with making sure they didn't get caught. Once they got to the portal, Colgate gave Aria a smile, "Alright, here we go. Let's get back to Equestria before someone comes along, sees us and discovers this thing." Aria nodded and was the first to cross back into Equestria, followed not long after by Colgate. When they got to Equestria they saw flashes come from inside the caskets, knowing that even their remains transformed. When they saw this Aria was thrilled, "You know your Majesty, I was worried that you might have to write a transformation spell." Celestia replied, "Well we won't know until we open the caskets." Colgate began to back away and said, "I'm going to have to get a fair distance away. I know when we open those, the smell will be horrible." Celestia sighed, "Very well." She turned to Aria and asked, "Which one first, Sonata or her boyfriend?" This was a tough one for Aria. She knew that if they resurrected Sonata first she would be devastated to see her boyfriend dead but if they resurrected him first, he would be devastated to see Sonata dead. After a full minute of thinking she came to a decision, "Let's take care of Storm first, seeing Sonata devastated is something I don't want to do." Celestia nodded and opened the casket of Storm Lewis. Very quickly both backed away, rushed to a corner and began to throw up. The smell was so strong that it reached Colgate and she too began to throw up, "Ugh, I've never smelled anything worse in my life!" Aria added, "I know." She paused before heading back to the caskets, "But this must be done!" Celestia finished, "Well let's do this." Aria and Celestia returned to the caskets. When they looked down at Storm's remains they noticed that once revived, he would be a unicorn which was something that made Aria happy. As Celestia grabbed his remains in her aura, she remembered that there was a second spell, one that was not filled with the evil of Grogar. She then recited the spell, "The fallen one's time has yet to be, the fallen one still has many days to run free, for potential the fallen one has a lot, without life it would all be for not, for life shall be renewed, the fallen one's past decisions need not be reviewed." The moment she finished reciting it, Storm became encircled in a bright ball of white light. Both Celestia and Aria watched in anticipation waiting for the ball to pop. Aria knew one thing she would have to do once the ball popped, apologize to him for not only killing him but for being so horrible to Sonata. Once the ball popped an off white unicorn with a drum cutie mark emerged and drifted to the floor. He raised a hoof up to his eyes and wiped them. He looked around and asked, "Ugh, what happened." He then looked forward and saw three ponies in the room, two of which were unicorns and one that was a much larger winged unicorn. "Aaaah, what is going on! How can this be, unicorns aren't real." Aria wanted to get him calmed down, "Storm, it is ok. Everything you're seeing is real." He wound up calming down and noticed that not only were the ponies in front of him on all fours, but so was he. He asked, "Wait a minute, how is it that I'm suddenly a pony....." He then took a much closer look at Aria and noticed that she seemed very familiar. She had the same coat color, mane colors and mane style as the girl who had murdered him. He gasped, "Aria Blaze, how the hell can this be? How are you a unicorn and how is it that I am alive again after you fucking killed me?" She pointed her hoof to Celestia causing her to explain, "Storm Lewis, you are in the land of Equestria and like Aria, you are a unicorn. You have been revived because Aria wanted you to be." She motioned for him to step aside and requested, "Now step to your side, there is one more that must be revived." Storm watched in horror as the body of his deceased girlfriend was lifted out of her casket. He noticed that she was a unicorn before Celestia recited the spell, "The fallen one's time has yet to be, the fallen one still has many days to run free, for potential the fallen one has a lot, without life it would all be for not, for life shall be renewed, the fallen one's past decisions need not be reviewed." Celestia cast the spell and Sonata's remains too became encircled in a white ball. Everypony in the room watched in anticipation as the other wrong from ten years ago was in the process of being corrected. Five minutes passed and the ball popped. When the newly revived Sonata dropped to the ground she was facing in the direction of Storm. She immediately knew who he was and rushed to him she embraced him, "Is it really you Storm, are you really alive?" Storm returned the embrace, "It is me Sonata." He drew back, kissed her and continued, "I have missed you so much Sonata, I love you so much." She broke the kiss and let out the squeal that Storm adored so much, "For realsies, you love me!" Storm replied, "I do Sonata, you should know that." The two again engaged in a kiss and one pony in the room was particularly moved by it, Aria. She was crying tears of joy as she saw her baby sister so happy. Colgate noticed this, walked up to her and asked, "Aria, are you ok?" This was another thing that the old Aria would never have done, cry tears of joy, "Yeah, I-I'm just so happy to see Sonata back and happy." Sonata broke the kiss and turned towards the source of a voice that she found so unpleasant. She became angry, "Aria, what are you...." She then noticed something radically different about her elder sister. She noticed that she was not in bitch mode, she noticed that she was actually crying tears of joy. She approached her and asked, "Aria, are you crying?" Aria was able to calm down a bit, "I am Sonata, I'm just glad to see you again." She paused for a moment before continuing, "Sonata, I'm so sorry for being so horrible to you for all those centuries, I'm so sorry for being a bad sister." She looked around and finally realized that not only was she but everyone else a pony. She then turned to Celestia and asked, "Who are you and how is it that we're all ponies, and how is that Storm and I are alive?" Celestia replied, "My name is Princess Celestia, the ruler of Equestria and you are alive because I know a resurrection spell but it is because of Aria that you are alive again." Aria added, "Sonata, it has been ten years ago to the day that Adagio and I found you dead and the grief for me was too much. I came up to see Princess Celestia and she agreed to help make this happen." Sonata finally gave her elder sister a smile, "For realsies, you wanted me to be alive again?" She pointed back towards Storm and added, "And my boyfriend alive again? You truly wanted me to be happy again?" Aria gave her a smile, "I did Sonata, I wanted this more than anything." Sonata embraced her before asking, "But how is it that you and I are unicorns, how is it that Storm is a unicorn? Aria pointed to Celestia and suggested, "You should probably ask Princess Celestia, she can give you the best answer." Sonata approached Celestia. Celestia overheard her discussion with Aria and began, "Sonata, I'm going to be honest. I wasn't overly thrilled at first about any of this but reviving not just you but your boyfriend and bringing you to Equestria was all Aria's idea." She saw Sonata smile as she continued, "From what I understand Aria was not a pleasant individual in the human world but this here proves that she has changed. She cares about you deeply Sonata Dusk and regarding you two becoming ponies, it just happened. Like how you and your sisters became humans after being banished, you became ponies upon your return since you don't have those pendants." She asked, "Alright but do you know where Adagio is, do you know where my other sister is?" Celestia replied, "I do and I think it would be best if we all took a trip to see her. I know she will be happy to see you." Sonata embraced her and exclaimed, "For realsies, she'll be happy to see me?" Celestia replied, "For realsies!" She then broke the embrace and announced, "Alright everypony, we're taking a trip to see Adagio." She turned to Colgate and asked, "Would you mind helping me with that mirror and Twilight's equipment? Could you help me get it in a crate so we can deliver it to Twilight? I don't want all of that being seen by anypony." While Colgate did not like the idea of any further usage of the mirror, she knew that since she helped her and Aria bring Sonata back that helping her with this would be the least she could do. She replied, "Yeah, I can help you." While Colgate was helping Celestia, Sonata had returned to Storm and the two were holding one another in a loving embrace while Aria watched with a smile on her face. What she thought might only have a small chance of being possible had become a reality. She then got a smile on her face thinking of another thing, Adagio's reaction. She knew that she would be ecstatic and that once again the three sisters would be together, as they should be. > Sisters' Reunion > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- Ten minutes later Colgate and Celestia returned with two large crates. Celestia was carrying the one with the mirror in it while Colgate was carrying the one with the equipment in it. Aria was watching them with a look of curiosity and asked, "I take it you're giving that back to Twilight?" Celestia replied, "It was nearly ten years ago that I took Twilight and Sunset's friends in the human world away from them and today I seek to right that wrong." She sat down the crate and said, "Colgate, you stay here with them while I go get the private train ready. I don't want this stuff being transported on a regular train." Colgate nodded and decided to approach the newcomers to Equestria. She asked, "Sonata, Storm, with you being in Equestria now, what do you think you'll do?" Neither one had even thought about that since the main things on their minds were one another. Both remained silent until Colgate added, "Well don't worry about that right now, you two be happy in one another's company." Aria was less than thrilled over the question and she approached Colgate over it, "Colgate, they were just resurrected and are happy to be together again! Give them some time before asking about what they plan to do to earn a living!" Colgate sighed, "Alright, I see where you're coming from." It wasn't long until Celestia returned. She said, "Alright everypony, the train is waiting. Follow me." Everypony followed her to the train and one thing that Aria noticed was that Sonata and Storm were holding hooves. She gave the two a smile realizing that adjusting to Equestria may not be so difficult for them given they already had the hoof holding down. Colgate too gave them a smile but for different reasons. She was wondering when the two would be ready for her to help them access their magic and after that, find a job. When the train pulled into Ponyville, both Sonata and Storm looked around at the new surroundings. Sonata was the first to say anything, "Princess Celestia, where are we and what is that tree looking thingy?" Celestia couldn't help but giggle by how Sonata described it. She replied, "We are in Ponyville and that is where Princess Twilight Sparkle lives, that is where we will find not only Adagio but Sunset Shimmer." Out of the three, Sunset got along the best with Sonata prior to her death. She asked, "For realsies, Dagi and Sunset are there?" Celestia replied, "Unless Twilight is out and about, most likely." Sonata was excited to see not only Adagio but Sunset as well. The only time she had ever seen Twilight was when they were defeated in the battle of the bands so she wasn't so sure about her. While Storm and Sonata were looking around, Celestia and Colgate were unloading the cargo. Celestia asked, "So Colgate, how happy do you think Twilight and Sunset will be to see I fixed this?" Colgate sighed, "I don't know but I just hope that when she uses this cursed thing that nothing comes through." She paused for a moment before adding, "You know, I'm thinking maybe you should tell Twilight that she has to have somepony on this side of the mirror to protect Equestria." Celestia knew that Colgate likely would have preferred that she put a seal on that mirror and kept it away from Twilight but she knew what she did was wrong. She replied, "Colgate, I took her and Sunset away from their human friends. I think this is the least I can do for them and the good thing is it seems like almost no time has passed in the human world so their friends should still be the same age." Colgate mumbled, "Whatever, I still think this is a bad idea." Celestia went silent as she knew that any further communication with Colgate over this would be pointless. She knew of Colgate's overall opinion of the human world and Twilight traveling back through. Once they got to the castle Celestia knocked on the door, "Twilight, do you think we can talk?" Relations between Twilight and Celestia had soured somewhat since Adagio's return to Equestria and the destruction of the mirror. After a minute she yelled, "What is it?" Celestia replied, "Twilight, I need to talk to you and Aria needs to speak to Adagio." Twilight opened the door and by her side was Adagio and Sunset. Out of the three, Sunset was the least pleased to see her. She sighed, "What do you want?" She first turned to Adagio, "Adagio, I need you to come out here. Aria wants to speak to you about something very important." On most days Adagio got along fine with Aria but it was this one day that she still didn't want to have to deal with her. She then heard Aria's voice, "Dagi, just come out. I'm not the only one here who wants to see you." She sighed in frustration and headed out but would stop in shock when she saw who was with Aria. Her jaw dropped open, "It can't be! Celestia destroyed the mirror and you two are supposed to be dead." Sonata rushed to Adagio, embraced her and exclaimed, "It is us, Aria talked to Celestia about reviving us, both of us!" This was something that shocked Adagio more than anything, Aria being the one to be behind all this. She turned to Aria and said, "She's shitting me, there is no way that you would ever do this. The Aria Blaze I know would never have Sonata revived, much less her boyfriend, the one you killed." Before Aria could respond Storm replied, "Adagio, Sonata isn't lying about this. It was Aria's idea that Celestia resurrect both of us and bring us to Equestria." Adagio was still having trouble believing this. She knew how to get her sister to tell her the truth, she knew that using the same words with her that she used with her after the death of Sonata would do the trick. She approached Aria and asked, "Aria, I would love to know when the bad girl I used to know became such a softy." This did not get the angry outburst out of Aria that Adagio was expecting. Aria calmly replied, "Dagi, we were both sad this morning. It is just a matter of me wanting to bring Sonata back. I wouldn't say it is a matter of me being a softy, it is a matter of me finally being something I should have always been, a good sister." Sonata added, "Yeah and now she is a great sister!" Adagio again wanted to test Aria, "You know what Aria, you are the worst!" Aria held her head low and replied, "I know Dagi, I know I'm the worst. I've been the worst ever since we got banished to the human world. I'm not going to deny it......" All the negativity was really starting to bother Sonata. She yelled, "Please Dagi, stop! Aria has changed and this is proof of it! She is being the true siren sister she once was and that is all I want for us, to be true siren sisters!" Aria added, "And like I told you when Celestia destroyed that mirror and Colgate got you that job at the hospital, siren sisters are always there for one another, always!" It did bother Adagio some that now it was her that was causing Sonata undue stress despite her only testing Aria. She sighed, "Sonata, I was merely testing Aria and she has proven she has changed. She truly is the siren sister she once was." Storm had no clue as to what the three were talking about but wanted to find out. He asked, "Sonata, what is this whole siren sister thing?" Sonata put her arm around him and replied, "We can talk to you about that later but for now, I'd love it if we could get some tacos!" Aria laughed, "Oh you and your tacos!" Colgate was still with them and she commented, "Well I'm taking all four of you out for tacos and I'm paying....." Before she could finish her statement Sonata squealed, "For realsies, you're taking us out for tacos!" Colgate replied, "For realsies now let me go talk to Celestia. She needs to know where we are going." Once Colgate headed into the palace to tell Celestia, Aria had a huge smile on her face. She felt like finally they could be what they lost over a thousand years of being, true sisters. She knew that no longer would they have being humans corrupting them and with Sonata back, it was like the team was back together. > Celestia's Surprise > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- While Adagio was being reunited with Sonata, Celestia was having a discussion with Sunset and Twilight. Out of the two Sunset was the least thrilled to see her. She gave her the same glare she did the day she was brought back to Equestria, "What do you want?" Unlike she was the last time they saw one another, Celestia was not upset by her behavior as she was expecting it. She sighed, "Look, I came down here with Aria and Colgate because Adagio isn't the only one to be reunited with one she cares about." Sunset was frustrated because it seemed like Celestia was speaking in riddles but Twilight was more curious, "Celestia, what are you talking about? Did you bring her parents here or what?" Sunset added, "If that is the case then just go. I have no desire to have anything to do with them." Celestia sighed, "No I didn't bring your parents but I want both of you to step back and close your eyes, I have a huge surprise for both of you." The two stepped back and closed their eyes. Celestia went outside, grabbed the crates in her aura and as she began to head up towards Twilight's chambers she ordered, "Keep your eyes shut, I'll be down to get you shortly." Once Celestia got out of earshot the two opened their eyes and were very curious. Sunset asked, "Twilight, what do you think she is up to? Why did she go upstairs, why does she want us keeping our eyes shut and what do you think she is doing up there?" Twilight replied, "I'm not sure but she seems to be a bit secretive but not in a bad way, it seems almost like she has something with her that will make us both happy." Sunset sighed, "I don't know what that could be unless she has some sort of amulet that would allow us to travel between dimensions." While Twilight and Sunset were wondering what Celestia was up to, she was up in Twilight's chambers. She first removed the mirror from its crate and got it set up. She then began to remove all of Twilight's equipment from the other crate that made it work and began to hook it up. She let out a sigh as deep down this was something that she wasn't completely happy over, using it to retrieve the remains of Sonata was one thing but knowing that Twilight would be using it for menial and insignificant reasons was another. Once she got it fully set up, she set the crates off to the side and headed to the entrance. She turned back and noticed that it looked the same as it did on the day she destroyed it. She gave a slight smile to the ancient relic and headed back downstairs. When she got downstairs she noticed that the two did not have their eyes closed and were discussing her behavior but did not say anything. "Twilight, Sunset, follow me." The two began to follow her as she headed back towards Twilight's chambers. As they neared their destination she again ordered, "Now close your eyes again, I want this to be a surprise." The two again closed their eyes as Celestia guided them into Twilight's chambers. She then said, "Ok, you can open them....SURPRISE!" When the two opened their eyes they could hardly believe what was standing before them. There, in front of them, was the mirror to the human world along with all of Twilight's equipment hooked up to it. Twilight's jaw dropped open, "It can't be!" Sunset was in even more shock, "But how, you destroyed the mirror when you forced me and Adagio to come back to Equestria." Celestia gave the two a smile, "I repaired it around a year or so ago because I had this feeling I might need it and as it turned out, I did need it so Aria could right her wrongs." Bringing up Aria and her wrongs shocked Sunset, "Wait a minute, what do you mean by Aria righting her wrongs? How could she possibly right the wrongs of killing a guy and driving her sister to suicide?" Celestia replied, "You see, I know resurrection spells so what I did was cast spells on her and Colgate to where they could go through the mirror, remain unicorns and then bring their remains back. Once they did that, I revived them and as we speak, Adagio is being reunited with Sonata and Storm." Twilight asked, "So you're saying that had Aria not wanted to have her sister back that you wouldn't have wanted to right your wrong?" This was something that Celestia knew would likely anger both Twilight and Sunset but knew she had to be honest, "That is right Twilight, had Aria not wanted to use it to have her sister back, none of this would have even crossed my mind. It would have remained locked up in Canterlot tower until the time came that I figured would be a good time to use it." Twilight snapped, "So you only thought about me because of Aria Blaze, because of a siren who brainwashed ponies....." Sunset nudged her and suggested, "Twilight, how about we just be happy that Celestia fixed it and is giving it back to you. We can't change the past, only determine our own future." Celestia gave Sunset a smile, "Thanks Sunset." She paused for a moment before adding, "So what are your plans now? Do you plan on returning to the human world?" This was a tough decision for Sunset. She was upset when she was pretty much forced to return to Equestria but over the past 9 plus years Sunset had grown to love Equestria. She had grown even closer with her pony friends than she did her human friends and there was also one other she had grown close to and that individual's path would weigh heavily on her decision. She replied, "I honestly don't know. I love my friends in the human world but I've adjusted to Equestria, I love my friends here and well...." she began to blush, "I wonder if Adagio would want to go back to the human world?" Both princesses got huge smiles on her face as Twilight snickered, "Sunset, do you have a crush on Adagio?" Sunset's blush deepened, "Uh maybe!" Twilight commented, "Well I guess you'll have to talk to her but given that they're all back together now, I know what her sisters want will weigh heavily on her decision." Celestia added, "And I know Aria well enough to know that she won't want to return to the human world and with the spell I had to cast on her to retrieve Sonata's remains, she'd wind up remaining a unicorn anyway." Twilight asked, "Seriously? Why did you have to cast some sort of spell on her like that?" Celestia went into detail with the two on the nature of the spell and why it had to be done so both Aria and Colgate could retrieve their remains, "Look, her and Colgate couldn't have retrieved those remains without magic and Sunset, you know as well as I do that Aria despises the human world." Sunset sighed, "That is true but could we go down so I can talk to Adagio about this? Besides, with the looks she gives me I think she might have a crush on me too." Twilight giggled, "Oooh, is my friend going to maybe be off the market?" Sunset blushed, "Maybe!" Celestia then suggested that they go down and talk to everypony else about the situation that was going on. Celestia could tell that Sunset was torn yet was shocked that Adagio would wind up being the one to influence her decision. She knew right then and there though that the selfish Sunset she knew from so long ago was long gone. What she saw now was a Sunset that she would be more than happy to make her protege again. > Everything's Going to Be Just Fine! > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- After Celestia revealed that she had repaired the mirror and Sunset had pretty much revealed that she had a crush on Adagio, Celestia led Twilight and Sunset downstairs. Once they departed the castle, they discovered that Colgate was talking with Sonata, her sisters and Storm. Twilight saw that they all had smiles on their faces and heard Colgate talking about how she was going to take all of them out for tacos. When Twilight heard this she suggested, "Instead of going out for tacos, how about I fix us some tacos? I can make more than enough." Sonata's head shot up upon hearing this, "For realsies, you can make more than enough?" Twilight wasn't exactly sure what to think about her reaction as she had never really got to know Sonata after she and her sisters were defeated. She saw Sunset giving her a slight smile and she replied, "Yeah, I can fix more than enough tacos for all of us." Sonata eagerly bounced into the castle and was followed by everypony else, with Colgate and Aria bringing up the rear. Colgate could tell that Aria was not exactly thrilled by this. She asked, "Aria, what's wrong? Your sister is so happy and I thought that is what you wanted." Aria sighed, "It's just that I'm not overly fond of Twilight. Yes I've only ever dealt with her a few times but still, how she treated Adagio and I when we got back is still fresh in my memory." Colgate sought to reassure her, "Aria, it is alright. Twilight has known for a long time that you and Adagio mean no harm and she actually smiled when Sonata happily bounced into her castle." "I know, I know. Getting over my past with Twilight is one final hurdle I'm going to have to clear." Once they all got into the dining hall, everypony except Twilight got sat down. Twilight gave her guests a smile, "How does three tacos each sound?" They all agreed in unison before Twilight headed into the kitchen to fix 24 tacos. After leaving the dining hall, Storm and Sonata continued to smile and hold hooves. Colgate, being the curious pony she was asked, "Sonata, Storm, I know you just got back but what are your plans now that you're back in Equestria?" Before either could respond Aria suggested, "How about you help them access their magic first before you go demanding they get a job." She paused for a moment before adding, "You saw how I was before you aided me in accessing my magic and with Storm not being a native to our world, he may need more help." Adagio added, "And chances are both will just want to spend some time together before being pressured into getting a job." Sunset gave Adagio a smile and agreed, "Colgate, I know you're one of those ponies who thinks everypony should be working but please, let them enjoy being back." Adagio saw the smile and noticed something a bit different. Sunset smiled at her on a regular basis but she saw that her cheeks were a bit red this time. She too blushed slightly and asked, "Sunset, was that a blush I saw?" Sunset found herself at a loss of words. She began to wonder what Adagio would think if she told her the truth. She did know though that she had to be truthful, especially if she was to ever have a chance with her. "Yes Sunny, I do...." Sunset had a huge smile on her face as she cut her off, "You're calling me Sunny?" she paused for a moment before continuing, "Dagi? Do you have a crush on me?" Adagio had a deep blush on her face upon hearing the question. This was something she had been hiding from Sunset for years. She wasn't sure how Sunset would handle it and she certainly wasn't sure how Twilight would handle one of her former enemies having a crush on who may very well be her best friend. She would not be the first to respond. With a huge smile on her face Sonata said, "You do, don't you?" Aria figured she would add something as well, "Don't deny it Dagi, that smile says it all." Adagio finally responded, "I do Sunset, I do." She began to blush again and added, "I even began to grow fond of you back when we were still in the human world." She leaned over and whispered, "Back when you helped me so much when Aria was being such a bitch." Sunset gave her a smile, "Dagi, had I known that we could have became girlfriends then because I had a crush on you too. We could have been a couple for nearly a decade!" Aria knew what Adagio was telling her when she whispered but didn't want to say anything. She didn't want to stir the pot and bring up anything from a time in her life that she had done a very good job of moving past. She figured that if she didn't bring it up outside of when she wanted to have her sister back that psychologically she would be far better off. After a minute of smiling Sunset asked, "Well Dagi, with that being the case, would you be my marefriend?" Adagio exclaimed, "Yes! Yes I'll be your marefriend!" The two began to kiss as Twilight returned with two big plates of tacos. Twilight saw this and asked, "Uh, why are you two kissing?" Sunset began to go into detail with Twilight about how the two felt and how long they had felt that way. Twilight was indeed shocked that the two had feelings like that for one another. She knew the two were close and had grown closer over the years when they would spend time together but never saw that they had developed that kind of relationship. Twilight asked, "So what now?" Adagio had a smile on her face as she asked in return, "Twilight, I don't know what you'd think of this but could I move into the castle with you so Sunset and I can be with my marefriend?" Celestia would be quick to bring something up, "But Adagio, with the mirror working again, what if Sunset was to want to return to the human world?" Twilight smiled when Celestia said this as it seemed like she really wasn't going to take it away from her again. Adagio became nervous upon hearing this because what if Sunset did want to move back to the human world. Adagio did love Sunset but she also liked being a unicorn and had kind of befriended Twilight. Adagio gave her a nervous smile, "Well....." Sunset gave her a smile, "Dagi, I want you to know that I love you and I know you would never be happy in the human world and I have grown to where I really don't like the idea of living without my magic." Twilight had a slight glare on her face as she felt that maybe Sunset was being forced until she heard the following, "Also, I've gotten to where I love being back in Equestria and to be honest" she turned towards Twilight and added, "I've gotten closer to our pony friends than I was our human friends." Twilight had a huge smile on her face as she exclaimed, "Oh I'm so happy to know that and Adagio, of course you can move in with me!" This caused Sonata to wonder one thing, "What about me and Storm though, where are we going to live?" Twilight saw the look of uncertainty in her eyes and replied, "Well I don't have any shortage of rooms here so you two can move in here but you must have your own separate rooms. Sharing the same bedroom is best saved for marriage." The two blushed deeply and agreed. The two sisters then turned to Aria, wondering where she would want to live since they were all back together. Aria knew that her sisters probably wanted her to move in with them in Twilight's castle but that wasn't what she really wanted. She still held a bit of distrust towards Twilight and while she knew it was completely irrational, she wasn't the type of pony she'd want to spend extended periods of time with, much less live with. She had an uncertain look on her face as she began, "Sonata, Dagi, you have no idea how happy I am that the three of us are together again and I'm hoping we can spend plenty of time together like true siren sisters do" she paused before turning to Colgate and continuing, "but if she is ok with it, I'd rather stay with Colgate." She saw Colgate get a smile on her face as she continued, "Colgate, you're the one who took me in when I first got back to Equestria, you're the one who taught me all the magic I know, you're the one that took me before Princess Celestia so I could get proof of my citizenship and most of all, you have been a very dear friend." She began to get more emotional as she added, "You didn't have to do any of that for me. You could have hauled me to Twilight and had her throw me back into the human world." Colgate was touched by her very out of character statement, "Aria, it was obvious you were at your lowest and you just needed somepony who cares in your life and yes you can continue living with my sister and I." Aria embraced Colgate and exclaimed, "Thank you Colgate, you are the best!" Adagio and Sonata gave one another curious smiles as both still remembered Aria's old saying yet here she was saying something that was the polar opposite to somepony. Granted it was directed at the pony who took her in and helped her adjust to life to Equestria, it still surprised them. Aria did want to know one thing though, "Sonata, Adagio, we can still hang out like normal sisters can't we?" Both embraced her and exclaimed, "Of course we can." Sonata then got an idea, "You know, we could always start singing again!" Aria became serious, "Sonata, singing is what got us banished in the first place." Celestia came up with an idea, "You know, that might not be that bad of an idea." She turned to Aria and continued, "When you sang that song to me, you sounded great but you didn't brainwash me so you and your sisters could start singing, why you could even make more money than Countess Coloratura!" Sonata had no clue who she was talking about knew that it was likely a good thing. She exclaimed, "For realsies, we could make more money than Countess Colorawhatchamacallit?" Celestia nodded but Aria had a suggestion, "Sonata, Dagi, Storm, do you think the three of us could talk, alone." The three nodded and followed Aria. Once they were outside of earshot of everypony else Aria turned to Storm and did something that up until recently she never would have dreamed of doing, apologizing to Storm. She began, "Storm, I know I was a horrible bitch not only on the day that I killed you but also towards everypony when you were in our house looking after Sonata and for all of that, I would like to apologize." The faces of the other three looked on in shock as Aria was doing something that Adagio thought that even with Aria's change that she would ever do, apologize Storm asked, "Really, you want to apologize?" Aria continued, "I do and while I was being a bitch thinking that you'd take advantage of my baby sister, looking back I now realize that you likely would have been the only guy who wouldn't have taken advantage of her." Aria saw a smile developing on Sonata's face and added, "Storm, Sonata, I want you two to know that whatever path you choose to take, I want you to be happy." At that moment Sonata and Adagio both knew that Aria truly had changed completely. They knew that no longer was she the horrible bitch she had been for the whole time they were in the human world. Sonata rushed to her and embraced her, "For realsies, you want us to be happy?" Aria smiled, "For realsies!" She looked back towards Celestia along with the others and added, "Now how about we join the others and discuss our futures further. Sonata, Storm, I know that Colgate will help you with your magic and I will do the same." She turned to Adagio and added, "Dagi, how about you spend some time with your new marefriend!" Sonata was curious about one thing, "Aria, what about you? Do you think you'll ever search for love? Aria replied, "I don't think so. Romance ain't my thing and I've never been attracted to anyone, the single life is what I want." Everypony else nodded and the three headed back towards Celestia and the others. All of them were happy but Aria was the one who felt the happiest. She felt like not only had she righted the wrong of killing Storm and being responsible for Sonata's death but also was happy that Adagio was able to find love in Sunset. She knew that the other three liked the idea of singing again but singing brought too many bad memories for her. She thought to herself, "If we do this, we're forming a band and I'm playing bass!" While Aria was talking with her sisters and Storm, Celestia motioned for Twilight and Sunset to follow her. They followed her and once they were out of earshot of Colgate, Celestia gave the two a smile, "Well you two, I think everything has turned out alright." Twilight wanted to know one thing right away regarding the mirror, "Princess Celestia, I know you brought back the mirror but what now? Are you going to let me use it whenever I want or are you going to want somepony like Colgate monitor it when I use it?" Sunset added, "Can we go visit our friends without somepony having to stay on this side, somepony like Colgate who may decide to deactivate it and strand us?" Celestia gave the two a smile, "You are free to use it whenever and however you want." She paused before becoming a bit sad, "Twilight, I am sorry for how I treated you the day I destroyed it. Nothing bad ever came through it and I should have just trusted your judgement." She saw the two begin to smile and finished, "However you wish to use it and whenever you choose to use it, you have my blessing." In unison the two exclaimed, "Really?" Celestia held her head low again, "It was wrong of me to do what I did. It was wrong of me to force Sunset and Adagio to return to Equestria the way I did." The two began to smile bigger as Celestia finished, "Again, I'm sorry for taking you away from your human friends. Twilight, I do hope that someday we can be close like we once were." Twilight had tears running down her face as Celestia admitted to her wrongs and corrected them. She rushed to Celestia, embraced her and exclaimed, "It's alright Celestia, I forgive you." Sunset added, "Princess Celestia...." Celestia quickly cut her off, "Just Celestia please, there is no need to be formal with me." Her voice began to break as she continued, "Sunset, I am sorry for not coming to check on you. Had I not been so stubborn, I would have come to check on you and apologize for my short sighted behavior. If you wish, I will take you back into my school and who knows, maybe one day you could become a princess." She saw an uncertain look on her face when she heard this. She knew that the option of going up to Canterlot may not be what she would want given her closeness with Twilight, her friends and her marefriend Adagio. She gave her a smile and added, "Or you could stay with Twilight and she could put you on the path to being a princess." Sunset was in a state of shock when Celestia told her all this. No only was she giving the two her blessing to use the mirror whenever they wanted to but she was bringing up that one word that she once imagined herself being, a princess. She replied, "Celestia, I am honored that you would take me back in as a student but my life is here in Ponyville. All my friends are here and my marefriend is here so I would rather stay in Ponyville." Celestia gave her a smile, "I figured that would be your answer and Sunset, again I want you to know that I hope you will be happy for the rest of your days and if Twilight ever thinks you're ready for your wings, have her bring you up to Canterlot and I will ascend you." Sunset blushed, "Well that would be up to Twilight and I know Starlight would be very angry if she did that for me but not her." Twilight gave her a smile, "Sunset, it takes a whole lot more than powerful magic to earn your wings. Hopefully both of you would earn that honor at the same time." Celestia gave the two a smile and said, "Well everypony, I think the time has come for me to return to Canterlot but I do hope that you will come to visit at times just as if I want to come to visit, I can." The two exclaimed, "That sounds wonderful!" Celestia gave the two a smile and took off. Twilight and Sunset couldn't be happier that finally things felt right again. They knew that if they wanted to, they could go visit the human world and not have anything to worry about. They both couldn't help but be happy for the siren sisters as they were back together and wouldn't be a threat to anypony, they were simply three unicorns wanting to live in harmony with the rest of the country. Twilight gave Sunset a smile and suggested, "Hey, what do you say we go to the human world and tell our friends the good news?" Sunset replied, "I think that would be great and I'm sure I can convince Adagio to join us since we won't be staying there." Twilight said, "Well let's go get her and then head on over!"
