> Steve the miner > by Asher Blade > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- > Day 1 > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- Steve pov I looked around at the booths at this year's com-a-con, and I moved my hair out of my face and looked around for anyone selling a diamond sword or pickaxe to finish my custom. As I walked, I saw a woman in the back dressed like Alex, and she had a complete set of diamond tools. I smiled and walked over, and she looked at me with a smile on her face. “Hello, Steve. Come to trade for some tools or food.” I laughed and nodded as I pulled some glass emeralds from my little side bag. “Haha, what will twelve emeralds get me?” She smiled as she looked at my emeralds and nodded. “A sword and pickaxe.” I laughed and was about to put the glass emeralds away to get my wallet; she took them from my hand. “Hey!” She smiled and waved at me.  “Good luck.” She snapped her fingers, and everything started to move like when you walk into a neither portal. I fell and nodded my head. I blinked and moved my hands, and hit something. I jerked my hand back and saw the diamond pick-ax and sword with an iron ax and a note. I grabbed the note as I sat up and grabbed the diamond sword.  Hello Steve This is Alex, and you are now in the world of Equestria at the beginning of Princess Celestia and Princess Luna's rule. Try to avoid them until you have at least enchanted iron armor and a hidden base. They are nice enough, but the ponies around them, not so much. I’ve also given you two gifts. First, the iron ax, and as in the game, your bed will be your savepoint. You can keep one item in hand and one on your back. Whichever item you keep on your back will be held with a chest strap. As for other items, you’ll have your own storage. All you have to do is touch the other items. If you want another item besides the two, you have at hand think about the item. I’ve also hidden chests with custom crafts and machines like those you see in custom worlds Weapons. I blinked and didn’t believe what I was reading. I looked down at my sword. There was a wooden handle and a jagged guard and pale with a diamond fixed into the pale. The diamond blade was bright blue and jagged.  ‘Well, here goes nothing.’ I put the sword on my back, and a leather strap appeared around my chest. I jumped back; it didn’t hurt at all. I sighed and nodded as I patted my chest. I nodded and grabbed my ax before touching the pickaxe with my free hand. It vanished once I put my hand on the handle. I jerked my hand back but nodded as I looked at it. “Okay, that's going to take some getting used to.” I looked at the trees around me and shrugged my shoulders as I looked at them. “Guess I better get to work at least I have more than twenty minutes to work.” I walked over to a tree, pulled my ax back, and swung it. I cut deep into the tree and came out smoothly. I swung again, and I tried to keep count, knowing I only had two-hundred and fifty-one swings in it. ‘I’ll need to find diamonds to make a diamond ax.’ I cut through the tree and heard the cracking. I moved away, and the tree burst into blocks and then vanished. I blinked before I nodded and did as the note said. I thought of the woodblocks, and a small wooden block appeared in my hand, no bigger than the palm of my hand. I was a name tag over the woodblock. It was an oak block, and I got five blocks. ‘Okay, this is cool, but I’ll need a lot more and a crafting table, but how do I do that.’ I stopped and looked at the five. A two by two appeared over my hand, and I smiled as I looked at it. “Hell ya!” I tapped the two by two with my other hand. I tapped on a box, and another screen popped up below the two by two. I saw the five blocks, and I smiled. I tapped on the blocks, then tapped the slots. I smiled as four wood moved into the slots and made sixteen oak planks. I moved the rest of them and smiled as I saw a crafting table. I smiled and crafted it, and it appeared in my hand.’Yes, now I can make everything else. But first more wood.’ I turned and summoned my ax again. I walked over to another tree and started to cut it down. I heard a branch snap, and I spun and stopped as I looked down at a girl or werewolf. I blushed as I looked at her. She was nude, but her fur covered everything. She was about four and a half feet tall with light amber eyes. She had white fur on her chest, hands, feet, nose, and tail tip. The rest of her fur was a nice light brown. I noticed her rips showing a little, and she looked scared. (No collar) “D-do you have food to spare?” I blinked as I looked at her, more shocked that she spoke than her human-looking body. I blinked as I looked at her and looked back down at my bag. I opened my bag and smiled as I saw the three bags of jerky I had. I pulled a bag out and looked back at her. “I don’t have much, but you're free to have it.” I took a few steps, and she looked at the bag, and I saw some joy in her eyes. She slowly walked over, and I smiled as I dropped to a knee, making us the same height. She smiled and grabbed the bag from my hand. I smiled as I sat down, and she sat down in front of me and ripped the bag open. She grabbed a few pieces of meat and started to eat them. I smiled as she ate, and I reached up and ran my hands through my hair. She looked at me as she ate, and I could guess by how she was eating. It's been a while since she last ate. I reached down and put my hand on her head, and she stopped. I smiled as I ran my hand down, straightening her hair out, then stood back up and looked at the tree. I started to walk again.  “W-wait!” She grabbed my shirt, and I looked back down at her. I looked down at the bag and saw more than half the jerky was gone. “T-thank you.” I smiled and nodded as I looked into her eyes. “Don’t worry sweetie, I’m just starting to get wood I need to build myself a home.” She looked a little as she looked at me. She looked like she wanted to ask me something but was too scared to. I got back down on a knee and looked her in the eye. “Is something wrong?” She broke eye contact and nodded as she looked down.  “I don’t want to sleep outside again. I don’t want to keep running from the monster that come out at night.” I frowned, then realized what she was saying. ‘Oh fuck.’ I nodded as she looked back up at me. I patted her head and stood back up. “Don’t worry; we'll have a few walls to keep the monsters away.” She smiled as she looked up at me. “Finish your meal, then get some small wood together for a fire, and I'll work on getting us wood for our wall.” She nodded and went back to eating as I looked back at the tree. I walked over and started to cut the tree down. I watched as the tree turned to blocks. I turned and started to cut another tree. I started to hum as I chopped away at the tree. I had two more trees down a few minutes later and checked my tree count. I have thirty wood in my inventory. “Okay, more than enough. I sent the wood back and summoned my pickaxe. She had a nice stack of starter wood next to an empty bag. I nodded as I walked over and looked at the small hill and saw a nice wall of stones. ‘Stone tools and a sword for her.’ I walked over and stuck the stone a few times, and it broke and disappeared.  “Magic?” I looked back down at the little dog-girl and smiled as I looked at her. “Well, I guess you could call it that. I can break down anything and then carry them with me. Or make them into something else. I’m about to get you something to make stuff after making the house.”I broke more stone, and I stopped as I broke into a vein of coal. I smiled and broke some of it, finishing my little mine. I walked back out of my small cave and looked at the stunned little dog. I laughed as I walked back out into the small clearing. I switched back to the woodblocks and walked over to the crafting table. I made a door and trap doors. I smiled as she watched me work with the table. I grabbed the leftover wood and walked over to the center of the clearing. I placed down a corner block as she tried to start a fire. She was doing well, and I laughed as I started working on the walls. I hummed as I finished the left wall, then jumped back down to the right wall and started to build it. I was more than happy for all the extra time.  “Wow.” I Stopped at the top of the right wall, and she looked up at me. “Ya, I can make a home fast. Before nightfall I want to make a few furnaces.”  “Why?” I smiled as I got back to work. “For one, I’ll need it to smelt ores, cook food and keep us warm when the night gets cold.” I finished the walls and smiled as I looked at the ten by ten walls. I switched over to the wood with the bark still on it. I started to make a roof keeping an eye on the girl. She’d gotten a fire going and looked proud at her work. ‘I need to get her name.’ I finished the flat roof without putting too much effort into this temporary house. I jumped down, making a deep pain run up my legs. Even though the house was only five blocks high. I saw I had ten at the bottom of my vision. I saw three and a half were dark. ‘Oh shit, I have a health bar.’ I nodded my head as I looked around. Walked over and smiled as I saw the hole I had left in the wall. I walked in the set down my crafting table. Then made a few torches then put them on the walls. I smiled and nodded before walking back over to the crafting table. “Okay, All I need is a door and maybe a few furnaces to smelt the ores I’ll find.” “Ores?” I looked back at the door and saw the girl standing there. I smiled as I walked back over to her and patted her head. “Metals I can use to make items. Like tools, armor, and weapons.” She nodded, then looked back over at the small fire she had going. I smiled and patted her head again. I walked out and then looked at the sun, glad to see it hadn’t moved. I pulled out my new stone pick-ax. I walked back into my stone mine and started to break more of it. I spent a good thirty minutes. I had a whole stack, half a stack of coal and three raw iron, and one raw iron block. I smiled as I walked back out and saw the small girl carrying arms full of leaves into the house. ‘Guess that’s her idea for a bed. Well, I guess I need six sheep and wood.’ She walked out and saw me.  “Mr!” She ran over and grabbed my hand, and pulled on it.  “Come look!” I laughed and let her pull me along to the open door. I saw two big piles of leaves and moss on the bottom. I smiled and rubbed her head with my free hand. “Thanks, honey, they look nice. But I need to go hunting for us.” She smiled before she walked back over to the fire and threw more wood onto the fire. I smiled as I walked into the trees and started up the hill. I rested my ax on my shoulder as I walked. I got to the top of the hill and looked across the forest. I looked around, looking at the beauty of this forest. “What a beautiful forest. This is where I’ll make home base.” “Really?” I jumped and looked behind me. I laughed and nodded before I summoned the stone sword. “I made you something to protect yourself with too.” I held it out to her, and she took it, and it shrunk to fit her size. “Interesting, I didn’t see that coming.” She ignored me and smiled as she looked at the sword. I patted her head before I started to walk down the hill. “Come on little honey.” “My name isn’t honey. It’s Emma.” “Okay, Emma, call me Steve. Steve the miner.” > day 2 > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- Steve pov Emma laughed as I carried her on my shoulder as I walked around. I didn’t have luck hunting, as she charged anything we saw. I patted her thigh. “Okay, listen to me, Emma. I take lead and you follow no charging in without thinking about it.” “Okay, and sorry I let the pigs getaway.” I laughed as I reached the top of the hill and stopped to see a village. But, they looked like horses standing on their back legs.  “A pony village. We need to get away from this place. Ponies hate anyone who isn’t a pony.” I hummed as I looked at them. “I’ll have to make note of these place. Come back at night if I can get them to owe us it may come in handy.” “Why?” I turned and started along the tree line. “Say I’m not around the house. If they know that youre with me and they know I’m a friend it may keep you safe.”  “I guess that makes sense.” I laughed as we came up to a small stream. I saw a few sheep down near the water. I took Emma off my shoulder and set her on her paws. “Remember follow me, and no charging.” “Okay.” I nodded before I looked back at the sheep and saw a pig with them. I started to walk around to a small bridge. Emma was right behind me. ‘I need a bow and some arrows.’ I got back into the trees, and Emma stayed on my heels. “Wait!” Emma grabbed my shirt, stopping me as I was about to come out of the tree line. I looked back at her, and she pointed to the other side of the tree line. I saw another dog woman standing there with a bow. She looked like a wolf with her white and brown fur. She had her bow drawn and had an arrow aimed at one of the animals. She looked like leather clothes on with a quiver on her back. She looked like she would be a few inches shorter than me. “Stay here. I’m going to see if she’s willing to talk.” Emma nodded as she held her sword tight. I patted her head before I walked out of the tree line. I stepped on a stick, and she spun with an arrow pointing at me. She blinked as she looked at me.  “STEVE!” Emma ran out of the tree line, and I saw the sheep and pig runoff out of the corner of my eye.  She turned back and fired at a sheep still in site. It missed and slammed into a tree. She growled before she looked back at us.  “You two just cost my pack’s puppies their next few meals!” I raised my hand as I looked at her. “Easy, I didn’t mean to cost your little ones a meal, let alone a few. Tell you what. I'll make it right if you can tell me a good hunting ground.” She huffed, then nodded her head over the hill.  “There is a small plain the ponies use as a grazing field for the sheep they use for wool. If you can get two or three, then it will feed the puppies for a week or so.” “Okay, if you don’t mind keep an eye on Emma here and I’ll be back.” ‘What!” I laughed and patted Emma’s head as the she-wolf looked at us.  “Why is a non-diamond dog looking after a older pup?” I patted Emma’s head before setting my ax down and walking over to her, leaving Emma standing there. She looked at me before we both took a step away.  “So?” “She came up to me earlier today asking for food. I know you can see her ribs too. She said she didn’t want to sleep outside again.” She looked shocked before she looked at her and then back to me. “Again? How long has she been out here?”  “I don’t know what happened. But I couldn’t send her back out on her own. I have a shack. I guess you could call. I’m staying in right now, and I’m letting her stay with me for now. It’s not pretty but it has walls and a door. Keeps the monsters out.” “I see; she may have been abandoned by her pack. To leave the poor thing to the undead.” I nodded before I patted her shoulder. “I’ll go and get the food you need.” She smiled a little and nodded.  “I’ll make sure she stays safe. You stay safe too. The pony guards march around this area every now and then.” “Thanks for the warning.” I walked back over to Emma and patted her head. She smiled up as I kneeled and grabbed my ax. “I want you to stay with this lady. I’m off to get food so be a good girl for her.” “Okay.” I stood up and rested my ax on my shoulder. I started to jog over to the hill. “Steve!” I stopped and looked back to see Emma trying to follow me. The she-wolf had dropped her bow on the ground. She was holding Emma off the ground. “Honey he will be back I promise.” I laughed before I waved and jogged up the hill. I started to hum a tune as I got to the top of the hill. I smiled, seeing a few sheep still in the woods. ‘Score!’ I jumped down, ax raised high. I buried it down on the sheep’s head, and it cut deep. It dropped, and a few more sheep ran. A second later, it vanished, and I held my hand out a smiled as a wool block appeared in my hand. I started to wonder if food worked the same way. ‘Well, one way to tell. Let's see.’ I found I had more than just raw mutton. I had legs, shoulders, chops, racks, and rumps. “Moo.” I stopped and smiled as I heard a cow. I started into the field, and I smiled as seeing cows, sheep, and pigs. I looked around to see if those ponies were around. They were none, and I smiled as I charged another sheep with a cow nearby. I switched between my ax and sword. I need attack power to get this over with quickly.  “MAA!” I cut a sheep’s throat and ran up to a cow. I stabbed it through the side, making it scream before it fell over and vanished. I looked at the blood on my hand and sword. It scared me a little with how easy I had just killed three animals. I nodded my head, knowing this was how I would have to get food. “Hey!” I turned my head and saw a pony with a large stick coming my way. ‘Shit!” I took off back into the woods and over the hill. I jumped down and saw Emma sitting with the she-wolf. They jumped up as I ran up to them. “Emma, miss! Move ponies are coming.”  The she-wolf grabbed her bow and picked Emma up with her other arm. We ran up the hill Emma, and I came over. The she-wolf smacked me with her tail.  “Come this way!” I did, and she led me deeper into the forest. I put my sword on my back again as we ran.  “You two can come to the den for a little while!” “Thanks! I got some meat. I’ll give it to your pack once we get to this den.”  “Good!” I saw a smile on her face as we ran. Soon we ran up to a large cave mouth with a few more she-wolfs standing guard at the mouth of the cave as we ran up. The two guarding the mouth were much bigger than this girl. A large white hair wolf with more leather armor and a leather cape to my left. In her hand was what I think was a longbow with a sword on her side. She had blue eyes, a collar, and a small ruby set in metal.  The other wolf had white and grey fur with long fingers and claws. Shwe had much better-looking armor. She had shoulder, forearm, and shin guards on. She had a blue robe over some chain mail. On her back was a massive quiver with a bow. In her hand looked like an ax on a spear pole. She was also built better than these two.  She stopped in front of the two.  “Ruby, Jasper, this male got us meat for the puppies.” The wolf on the left looked at me, and I smiled before holding my hand up. “If you're wondering where the meat is, watch this.” “What?” I turned my hand and started to drop the items from my inventory. All their eyes widened as I finished dropping all the sheep meat. I smiled, and Emma got out of the she-wolf arms. She ran over and grabbed ahold of my pants. I laughed and patted her head as the wolfs got the meat. I patted Emma’s head as she held onto my pants.  “This is more food then I could normally get alone.” I looked at the wolf I had come with. I laughed before I picked Emma up and set her on my shoulder.  “Okay, Emma, why don’t you hang with these fine Ladies. I’m off to get more wood and coal.” “Coal?” I looked at the grey wolf. “Ya. It’s a black rock that burns. I can use my magic to make stuff with it.” I summoned my stone pick-ax surprising everyone but Emma. The three shook it off then Japer pointed back to the cave, and I think the white one was called.  “We’ve got some rocks like that in the walls of our cave. And we keep guards posted near a pit going deeper into the cave.” I smiled and nodded as I looked at her. “Mosters spawn down there right?” She blinked and nodded.  “Ya, how did you know?” I laughed as I rested my pick-ax on my shoulder. “In my old home, we learned they spawn much more often in caves. We also learned a way to stop them from spawning in nearby caves.” That got their attention. “You can stop them from coming that close?!” I laughed as I waved my hand. “Ya, I don’t have what I need right now. But, items that are made with my people’s magic can help. If I can make enough magic torches, they can stop the monster from spawning in caves.” I smiled before I switched back over to my ax. “If you all will watch over Emma for me, I will come back in a little while.” “Ya, we can she can have a bite with the other puppies.” I nodded before I turned and started to walk over to the hill. “I’m getting more wood be back soon.” I climbed up the hill as I thought this area would be nice for a storage base. ‘The wolfs would keep it safe until I can build something better.’  “Wait up!” I stopped and looked back and saw the grey one running up behind me. I stopped and turned to face her. “It was Ruby, right?” She nodded as she looked up at the sky and then at me. “Night will come soon. We want you to come back and stay in the cave. If what you're telling us is true, we could take the lower caves and expand our home.” “Okay, but I need a lot more wood for what I’m going to do for all of you. Now, you can stay and watch my back or maybe go make plans for when I help you clear the caves.” She smiled, then laughed a little.  “I know your being a little rude but I like the way you put it.” I laughed and nodded before turning to a massive dark oak tree. “Oh, and so you know I have some coal already, so I will start clearing tonight.” “Really?!” I laughed as I chopped at the tree. “I can’t go far, but I can expand your home.” I finished chopping, and the tree burst into blocks and vanished. I smiled before I walked over to another tree. “So, how long have you all lived here?” Another oak tree fell as I spoke.  “We just moved here. The ponies forced us to leave the cave system I was born in. Many of or warriors we killed in the fighting.” I finished the third tree, and I checked the count. I had nineteen and smiled. ‘That is enough for now.’ “Maa!” We both looked to the hill and then looked at one another. We smiled, and I nodded as she readied her spear thing.  “You go right I’ll go left.” I nodded, and I jogged around the hill. She rushed off to the left, and I smiled as I got low on the hill behind a tree. I saw a sheep and two pigs. ‘Hell ya.’ I waited for a minute before Ruby burst out from the trees. “AH” I smiled and jumped out of the tree and pulled my sword off my back. I cut the sheep's throat out, making it vanish as I ran at the pigs. One of the pigs turned to the right, but the other kept coming at me. I buried my sword into the pig coming at me. It vanished, and I heard Ruby cursing. I saw she had her spear thing stuck in a tree.  “Damn it!” I laughed and put my sword on my back again. “It’s good I got two of them.” She pulled the thing free and looked over at me, and I smiled before I pulled the three wool out. ‘Emma would need the bed more then me.’ “What is that?” I laughed before I sent the wool back to my inventory. “Just wool for now, but I think I’ll make Emma a bed with my crafting table.” “Crafting tool?” I laughed before I crossed my arms. “You’ll see soon. For now, we have more food and wood. If you're ready, then let’s head back.” I check what I got from the pig. I got two shoulders, two hams, pork loins, and pork chops.  “So how much meat did you get this time?” I had an idea of what she wanted. “An okay bit. Once I make another furnace I’ll cook some.” “What is a furnace?” I blinked and smiled before I looked back at her. “It’s something I can use to work on raw metal and cook.”  “Oh?” I laughed as we walked over the hill. I saw Jasper playing with Emma a little way from the cave. I smiled as I watched her play around. “Come on.” Ruby punched my shoulder and laughed a little as she started to walk down the hill. I nodded and started to walk down the hill. Emma ran around Jasper, trying to grab Jasper's tail. “Careful Emma.” She grabbed her tail and then looked over at me. She smiled before she let her tail go.  “Steve!” She ran up to me, and I smiled as I picked her up like she was a happy puppy. She hugged my neck, and I laughed a little. > days 3-5 > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- Steve pov I sat in the caves and watched as the guards killed a zombie that looked like a pony. I watch the small opening in the back of the cave. It wasn't a big opening in the ground, more like a huge crack. Once it calmed down, the guards changed. Ruby and Jasper walked up, taking the place of the two guards.  "Steve!" Emma jumped onto my back, making me laugh as she licked my cheek.  "So your steve." I looked back and saw an older she-wolf. She had black and grey fur with a little longer hair on her head. She had on some leather armor like the other, and she had two short ax's on her sides. But, her eyes were striking. They were bright green, almost like an emerald. "Yes, miss, and I'm about to start working anyways." "Oh, what are you going to do?" I smiled as I summoned my torches. "Once I see a good gap, I'm going to jump into that crack." She looked surprised as she looked at the torch.  "Where did you get that?" I laughed before I summoned my ax, shocking her. "My magic comes in handle with crafting stuff. Things like torches and lumber is easy." She nodded before she sat down, moving her tail to the side. "I could see how that is useful. But you don't have armor. Are you sure you want to go down there?" I laughed and nodded before I patted Emma's arm. She let me go, and I re-summon my torches. I walked off the small overhang to Ruby and Jasper. "What are you doing?" I smiled as I held up the torch. "My magic finished making the torches. I got about fifty, so I'm going to light up some of the cave." "Really?" I laughed before placing two of the torches right outside the opening. They ignited once I placed them, scaring the girls.  "What just happened?!" I laughed before I patted Ruby's shoulder. "It's a magic torch. Once I place it ignites a magic light that can block most monster spawns. "Slimes can still spawn from time to time, but killing them is easy." They nodded, and I started to walk.  "Wait!" I looked back at the older wolf. I walked back over, and she waved a few more wolfs over. Two large male wolfs, and a smaller female came over. The two males were like clones, except one had a scar over his eyes. They both had red and white fur and only had leather pants with leather helmets. The female looked like an older version of Emma's, but she had golden fur and full leather armor with blue eyes. The older wolf looked at me with a smile on her face.  "These are three of our young warriors. Jade, Copper, and my granddaughter Sapphire. They will go with you and guard you while you light up the caves." I nodded before I looked at the three. The weapons they had rusted and chipped swords, and Sapphire had a nearly broken stone ax. "Give me a second, you three." I ran through the inventory, summoned my iron ax, then held it out to Sapphire. She smiled and dropped her old ax away. 'I can make another.' I then pulled my stone sword and ax out for the other two. They took them happy for the new weapons. "Fair warning, my weapon-making skills aren't the top level. Iron tools are good for over two hundred uses, and stone is good for a hundred a forty." "That's better than what we have now. The stuff we make is only good for a few hits before they break." I looked at the older wolf. "Ya?" "Yes, our only craftswolf was killed when the ponies forced us out of our old home." I nodded before I re-summoned my torches. I looked at the alpha female. I guess that is what this older she-wolf was and spoke. "Well, at least these will stay lite for a while. And hell, if you all don't mind me staying here for a while, I'll make all the tools and armor you need for a while." She smiled and nodded. "Yes, I would love that, Steve. But, I would like to ask one thing." "Sure." "If your weapons are like that, how good is the one on your back?" I laughed before I spoke. "I didn't make that one. I bought this one. I think the craftsman said it was good for fifteen-hundred swings in it. And if what he was telling me is true, it's made of diamonds." She looked shocked, and I smiled before nodding my head to the cave.  "We can talk more later, miss. For now I have a job." She smiled and nodded before she waved us off. I walked over, and Sapphire knocked my shoulder with hers.  "You're okay. Oh and thanks for the new axe." I laughed as we walked into the dark cave. I place the first two, lighting up the beginning of the cave. "No problem. Once I find iron and leather, I will start working on my armor and weapons for the pack. "Yes, were are a pack." I nodded as I walked a little deeper and set two more torches before I heard the groaning. I backed up, sent my torches away, and summoned the second stone ax. "Guard up." We formed a line as a zombie and spider came out of the darkness.  "Copper, Jade, you two take the spider. Steve, you and I got the zombie!' Sapphire barked orders, and I was happy to have someone with a cool head. 'Well, at least I know I have allies with armor. Copper and Jade jumped on the spider, and I charged in and buried my ax into the zombie ponies chest. I used all my strength to force the thing against the cave wall.  "Steve move!" I did, and Sapphire split the things head. It fell to the floor, and I laughed. "Damn, Sapphire, that's brutal." She laughed before putting her paw on the zombie's chest and pulling my ax out. She threw it over to me, and I grabbed the handle.  "Let's get back to it." I laughed and patted Sapphire's shoulder. I sent my ax away, then got my torches back out. We walked forward again, and I placed more torches.  "So, Steve. Are you really going to stay with the pack?"  I placed another two torches and stopped as I looked at a few iron pieces. "Hell ya." I got my diamond pick-ax out the started to mine the iron. "You guys keep an eye out. If this is raw iron, I can start making tools sooner than I thought." "Can you make some more swords for us?: I finished the front row of raw iron and saw two more behind them. "Ya, but it will take a little time. Maybe a day or two." "That's fast or you sure you can do that?" I nodded as I finished getting the raw iron. "Ya. Now that I have an area to mine in, I can get more work done. Coal, iron, red stone, and so much more. But, before all that, I need a lot of stone, but that can wait." I got the torches back out and then kept moving, lighting up the cave until I came to a split in the cave.  "Jade can you see the mouth of the came we came through?" I looked back and saw we were a good way from the mouth we came from. I checked, and I had two dozen torches left. I sighed and nodded before I looked back at my little crew. "Okay. I'm almost out of torches, so do we keep going or head back for now?" Copper and Jade looked at Sapphire, and she looked at me.  "You told us your torches would keep the monster from spawn in the light right?" I nodded, and she nodded. "Okay. until you can make more, we go back. "Besides, the sun was going down. Monster will soon be coming from the woods…." She trailed off before they looked at me. "I have enough wood to seal the cave mouth and make a small gate. and , I will be making a few area's for living since I need stone anyways." "Can me and my grandmother have one?" I looked at Sapphire and shrugged. "I don't care. I'll just be mining into the cave walls to get cobblestone. Anyone who wants one of the areas is free to them." They smiled, and I laughed until we heard a scream. We all looked at the cave, and Copper and Jade took off running full spread. Sapphire and I weren't far behind. I had my ax in hand as we ran. "Move it Steve!" We come out of the mine. Two zombies and a dog-looking skeleton had gotten in, and a guard had an arrow in her shoulder. The two guards were trying to fight the zombie, and the Alpha was trying to keep Emma and the few puppies protected with a shield as the Skeleton shot arrows at her. I charged the Skeleton, and it aggroed me.  "Died!" I heard Ruby yell as she slammed into a zombie trying to get in. I dodged an arrow before tackling the Skeleton to the ground and smashed the skull with the back of my ax. It vanished, and a bow appeared in my hand. I switched back to my ax and looked at the cave mouth. I could the lights helped a little. I switched to the wood and quickly started to build a walk right outside the cave. "Watch out!" Sapphire grabbed me and pulled me back as an arrow slammed into the side of the cave's wall. "Thanks." I started working again, and I was happy I had enough to make a two-by-two wood wall. I looked back as they killed the last zombie. I sighed before I let myself fall dot the dirt ground. "Damn, that was intense." "Ya, well, thanks to you were safe tonight. Maybe seal the other cave mouth like that and we can sleep with both eyes closed." I looked up at the Alpha. "Sure." I checked to see if I had more than enough wood for that six cave mouth. I got up and walked over to the lift-up cave. 'I guess I would make them feel safe. I sealed it up. I sighed, then pulled my sword off my back and leaned against the wall.  "Going to stay here?" I looked up at Sapphire. "Ya, I made the wall so if something happens I'm first to fall." She smiled before she sat down beside me.  "Well, if it does I'm here to save your tail." I laughed before I leaned back into the wood. 'I'll make a few beds later.'  Day 4 Steve pov I smiled as I finished my fifth furnace and set up a crafting table in my new third by twenty-five area. I had woodturning into charcoal for torches.  "Steve!" I looked to the door I'd made before Ruby slammed it into the wall. I looked at her and smiled as she held up her new stone ax.  "These things are great! We just came back from a hunt and we got three cows and a pig!" I smiled and nodded. "That's nice to hear, Ruby. But don't push too far. We didn't want the ponies coming at us before we were ready." "We know. Bronze has told us the same thing." I looked back at her with a new stone sword in hand. "Bronze?" She nodded as she looked at me.  "Ya, Sapphire's grandmother." "Ah! I didn't get her name yesterday. Well, that aide I thing I've made enough stone swords and axes for all the fighters. Will you gather them for me?" "Ya, I got it." She walked out, and I sighed before I checked the furnaces and smiled at the three-fourth stack of charcoal. I smiled and took out then but the five raw iron I had in. I sighed and heard a knocking coming from my door. Started making torches with the last of my sticks. "Come in." I head the door open. "Hello Steve." I looked back and saw Borzen stating there with Emma in her arms. I laughed before I opened my double chest. "What do you want? A sword or ax?" "I'm not here for a weapon Steve. I came to thank you for setting up the gates. Now we don't have to have guards post at all times. The none fighters like to hear that we don't have to worry about the undead now."  "Well, just you wait. In do time I can turn this place into a fortress. Ponies, undead and anything else will have a hell of a time getting through the gates I'll make. Nice strong walls with iron gates." "Does that mean you plan to stay with our pack for a time?" I nodded as I finished my work for now. "Ya, but there is a problem. Once I make this place a monster-safe zone. They will start attacking the pony town. After that they will coming looking so I want be ready." I had five swords and seven axes. "You make a good point, but we only have twelve fighters and twenty none fighters." "I see, so the pack only has thirty-two members. Maybe we could take in some more strays like Emma and me." "I don't know about that. You and Emma were not a threat to us. Plus, you have magic to could help make our cave safer." I nodded before I walked over as more knocks came from my door. I laughed, then walked over and opened the door to see Jasper and a few more of our fighters. "Who wants an ax, and who wants a sword." "Most of us want axes with swords for backup." I nodded as I started handing out the axes and swords. They all smiled as they looked at their new weapons, and I laughed before I summoned my stone ax. "Hey Sapphire, I'm going back into the mine. Want to come along?" "How far are we going?" I shrugged as I started to walk. "I got an almost full stack of torches. We can go deeper and maybe find some more iron or diamonds if we're lucky." She laughed as she walked up beside me, my ax on her side. "So, how's the ax treating you?" She smiled as she patted it. "It's great. I've never had an ax this light and sharp." I laughed and nodded as I looked ahead. "I see well when it gets worn down or breaks I'm make you a new one." She laughed and punched my shoulder. "I want a diamond ax like you're sword when you can." I laughed and nodded as I chopped through two wooden blocks and placed a door. I opened it, and we walked through." We'll take that left opening." "Why?" It looked like it was leading up. It was that is where I will make a storage area. Put food away for the winter. My magic chest will keep meat from spoiling or rotting." "Oh, that is great. We wouldn't have to hunt in knee-deep snow." We walked up to the split, and I got my torches out. "I could make you guys some bows. Getting arrows made would make it, so we don't have to chase down our prey." "That would be nice, but we still have the ponies to worry about." I nodded as I lit up the cave, happy not to hear any monsters. I looked forward and saw we had reached a dead-end. "Well, I guess this is a good thing. With this, we've cleared this cave area of the cave." "It's nice to know we have a little of this cave system as our own." I laughed, and I checked my torches. I had forty-four torches left, and I smiled. "Okay, I got a good number left of torches. Let's see how deep the cavern next to us goes." "Right Steve." We started to walk back down this cavern. "I think I will carve out a larger living area inside this little mountain. Maybe I could recreate one of my people finest fortress city." "You know I was wondering about that? Where do you come from?" I laughed, nervous, as I looked forward. I interlocked my hands behind my hand. "Well, you could say I'm not from this universe." She looked at me with a raised eyebrow.  "This universe?" I nodded as I looked at her. Best come up with something believable. "Ya, I came through what you would call a universal portal. Think of it as a magic gate." She nodded, and I stopped before we came to the split. Sapphire looked at me. "What's up?" I smiled before I sat down on a stone. "Have a seat. I guess I should explain why I'm here." Sapphire nodded and sat down on a large rock across from me. "I guess the best way to put this is I want to see if an ancient legend is true." "A legend?" I smiled as I leaned back into the stone wall. "I want to gather the great items known to us from the legend. A nether star, a totem of undying, full netherite armor and gear. I also want to get my hands on an Elytra. I want to see the lava lakes of the neither and the great gold hoards of the countless bastians. To be straight, I want to go on a grand adventure."  "Is that all really?" I smiled as I leaned toward her. "It is, and I there so much more. There are also ancient magics that can make armor unbreakable. Weapons that can repair themself in battle. Spells that allow extra damage like sharpness and flame aspect and protection. My people wanted to stop all the madness of the age of the builders."  "So why are you looking for them?" I laughed as I looked at her. "Simple, like I said, I want to prove to myself the legend is true." Sapphire nodded before she stood up.  "I would like to come along on this great adventure of your's." I laughed as I looked up at her. She looked annoyed at me, and I held my hand up. I wiped my eyes as I looked at her. "Sorry. It's just nobody wanted to come along with me. So, hearing you say you want to come along makes me happy." She laughed, and a smile crossed her face.  "Well, I've taken a liking to you so I want to see this stuff your talking about." I laughed a little more and nodded before I stood up. "Well, It's a ways away from that. First, we need to clear these caverns."  "Ya." We looked down the right cavern, and I started to light up the beginning. We started to walk, and Sapphire crossed her arms.  "So, your people know all that did they ever find out where monster come from?" I shrugged as I placed two more torches. "No, but we did learn ways to deal with them. We learned that they could only spawn in total darkness. Something as simple as these torches can stop them. But, there are other things to worry about. We found out some dark magic can make a spawner to spawn a specific monsters. Hell If I could find a skeleton spawner I'd make a mob grinder. Bones for bone mill to help the farms I'm going to make. Bows to repair and use, arrows for days if it's a good one." "We could eat the bones too." I blinked, and I looked at her. "What? You guys eat bone?" She nodded before she spoke. "We cook them over a fire and break them open to get at the insides." "Oh, you mean the bone marrow. It's good to eat in the winter, high in fats and proteins." I placed the lights, and I started to see the lights off in the dark. "Oh no." I hurried down the carven placing the torches on the ground. "Steve!" I came to a cliff edge and looked down into an underground ravine. I saw mobs walking around and a few slimes bouncing around. Sapphire stopped beside me and looked down into the ravine with me. "Damn it. Talk about the worst case. No armor, no bow, and nowhere near enough torches." "Well, can you do something about it?" I sighed and nodded before switching to some of the leftover cobblestone in my inventory. "Not, right now. But I can make sure none of these mobs come close to us. I'll block this off until I have the means of dealing with this." I started doing that as some zombies and skeletons started our way.  "So your just going to seal this one?" I nodded as I left two holes up at the top. "For now. Even if all the fighters charged in, most of us would be dead before we could dent their numbers. They may be stupid, but if there are enough of them." "Good point." I sighed before I got my stone pick-ax back out. "You can head on back. We passed a lot of raw iron and coal. I got enough iron to make an iron sword and one ax." "You sure you got this alone?" I nodded as I looked up and saw some coal above us. "Ya, I'll be down here for a little while."  "Okay, well don't forget to come out to eat." I laughed and shoved her shoulder, making her laugh. She started to walk off, and I noticed she had some red on the end of her hair and tail. 'Hm, I guess she isn't to bad.'  Day 5 Steve pov I looked around everywhere and sighed. I had everything in this cave area and filled the holes back in with stone. I'd also leveled out the main cave area with Bronze's permission.  "Steve, Bronze!" I looked over to the cave mouth and saw Ruby and Jasper with weapons drawn. I quickly pulled my diamond sword off my back. I ran down the opening I'd made, and Bronze was beside me a minute later. I looked out and saw three ponies, two with weapons. They were skinny and looked like they had been in a nasty fight.  "Ruby, Jasper move." 'But!" "You two heard him!" Bronze barked at them, and they did as I said. They moved aside, and I walked out of the cave. I put the sword off my back. I looked closer and saw one was two decades older than the other two. The two bigger mares had similar coats and manes. They had red manes with blue coats. The smaller mare had a black coat with a head full of blue hair. She was smaller, so I assumed she was a kid. "Are you three okay?"  "Steve! What are you doing!?" I looked back at Ruby. "leave this to me, Ruby." She frowned but backed off, knowing Bronze had faith in my actions. I looked back at them and then reached around my back. I got my apples from the trees I've been chopping down. I pulled my arms back around and showed them the apples. The little girl looked happy and took a step toward me. The oldest mare looked shocked. "Apples this time of year?" I smiled and kneeled to be level with the little girl. She smiled, then slowly walked over and grabbed the two apples. I smiled, then reached around her ear and made another appear shocking her. Then she laughed and took that one too. She rushed back over and gave an apple to each mare.  "What do you say Grapejuice?" I tried not to laugh as she looked back at me. "Thank you!" I laughed before I stood back up. I looked at the older mare as she ate her apple. She looked beyond tired. I walked over, and she looked at me. She gave me a small smile as she looked at me. I waved for her to follow me over to the trees. She nodded, and I started to walk over to the trees. I leaned back onto a tree, and she stuffed the apple core into her mouth. "I just want to know what happened." She covered her mouth and then swallowed the core.  "Griffon raiders. They attacked in the dead of night. A lot of powers are trying to expand. Since Equestria is a new nation, we're still trying to survive after Discords fall from power." I nodded and sighed as I looked at the other two mares talking with Bronze. "I can talk with the Alpha. She let me stay here, and we've found a way to keep the monster away at night. Plus, it would be nice to have the extra hands." She looked shocked. "A diamond dog pack welcomed strangers?" I nodded as I looked at her. "I knew how to stop monsters. Plus, I was looking after a pup, so they were willing to help me. I've also started working for the pack." "What do you do for a pack of dogs?" "Their diamond dogs. And if you must know, I'm a craftsman. That stone wall you saw when you walked us was my doing. I plan to rebuild a fortress city that has stood for nearly eight hundred years." She looked at me with a look I had a little trouble placing. I looked over to the others as the puppies came out.  "Do you think…" I looked at her again. "Do you think we could have a place here? Were earth ponies so we could work the land and if more of us come we can be a great work force."  I shrugged as I looked at her. "Not up to me. Bronze is the Alpha here." "Do you think she's let us stay?" I sighed and uncrossed my arms. "Miss, I'll be straight with you. Ponies forced her and this pack out of their last cave. They killed some of their pack." She looked worried, and I nodded. "I get it, I do. Look, I don't have any say in it." She looked worried, then she looked over at the other two mares.  "What about my daughters? Do you think that she'd let them in?" I couldn't look her in the then a thought hit me. I patted her shoulder before I looked over to Bronze. "Wait with your fillies, right?" She nodded, and I quickly walked over to Bronze. Her ear twitched, and she looked over at me. I nodded my head to Ruby and Jasper. She nodded and then said goodbye to fillies. I walked beside her, and she looked at me. "So?" "Griffon raiders. The other two?" "Same, I'll be honest. I feel for them, but I don't want them here."  We got close to Ruby and Jasper, and they walked up to us.  "What's the plan Bronze?" Bronze looked at me. "You seem like you wanted to say something before." I nodded as I looked at them. "Look, we need bodies. I want to start farms, build walls, and make this place safe, but we need numbers. And, I can't send them back out there knowing raiders and monsters will be out there when night falls." Bronze nodded as she looked at me.  "I can see reason in that. And it would benefit the back but the other members of the pack. If I let this pass, the other members may see it as weakness. We don't need infighting for a new alpha." I nodded and crossed my arms as I looked at Bronze. "Look, if you don't want them to live with us, then let them stay with us for a few days. I'll gather the supplies and build them a house and a fence in the surrounding area with my magic. Besides, I need more time to make some leather armor for myself. Once I have that, I'll go into the underground ravine to get iron for iron armor." Bronze sighed and nodded.  "I'll give you four days, Steve. But, they do as I say when I say it. But, if they start trouble, they are out with nothing but what they brought." I nodded as I looked back at them. "Thank you Bronze." I walked back over to the mother and her girls. She looked at me, and I smiled as I looked at her.  "So?" I smiled as I looked at her. "You'll stay with me for a few days. I have magic that lets me do a crazy amount of work in a few days. I will clear some land and build you a house and a large fence. I'll get you a safe place, but the deal is off if any trouble is started." The mother looked panicked. "I promise everything will be fine." I smiled as I looked at her. "Good." "So, will we stay with you for a few days?" I nodded as I looked at her. "Ya, but fair warning, I only have two beds. I'm fine sleeping on the ground for a few nights. But I ask that you please not mess with my stuff." "We can do that. Is there anything else?" I nodded as I looked at her. "You'll come with me tomorrow, miss. You'll be picking out your homestead." She nodded, and I smiled as I looked at her. "Come on. My place is this way." We walked into the cave behind Bronze. I ignored the looks of the pack as I will up the stone steps I'd placed. I opened my door and laughed as I looked at Emma and another two puppies. They were playing with things that kind of carved dogs. "Steve your back!" Emma jumped up and rushed over to me. I laughed, and I patted her head as she held onto my leg. The other puppies got up and told Emma bye and me as well. I waved to them as they walked out. Emma let go of my leg and followed with them. 'She's probably going to sleep at Jaspers again. I need to get more beds out there.' I sighed and looked around and saw the family sitting on the beds. "Um…" I looked at the little filly, and she held her stomach. I laughed before I walked over to my double-stacked chest. I had eight more apples in this chest. I got them all out and walked over. I gave them two more apples each. The filly smiled and started to eat the apples. I laughed and patted her head.  "Thank you but, can I ask you to do something?" I looked at the mother. "What do you need?" "I left something very important to my family behind in the rush to get away. Dd you think you can go to our old village? It's not too far if your willing I'll do anything you want." I laughed as I looked at her. "It's fine. I need to go out that way anyways. What did you forget?" She smiled and then explained her late husband's guard helmet was left next to her bed. "Which house am I looking for?" "We live out of the village on a big farm. If it wasn't burn their is still some wheat in the fields. Like I said I'll do anything you want and you can take what you want from the house and farm just please get his helmet." I nodded and walked over to my door. "Their is some more fruit with Bronze and I made a nice water pool in the back of the cave near the wooden wall. Female's bathe be for night fall so if you all need a bath wait till then."  "Thank you." They all stood then gave me a polite bow, and I finally noticed that the mother and her oldest daughter both had nice racks. The mother had to be a double d-cup, and her oldest daughter had to be a small e-cup at best. I cleared my throat, and I walked out the door. I'd tried hard not to pay attention to anything like that these few days. The leather armor the Diamond dogs wore helped with how tight the armor hung onto them. "Is something wrong" I jumped and looked at Sapphire. I laughed and tried to look away from her, but she grabbed my face and forced me to look at her.  "Why is your face all red." I made her let me go." "SapphireI'mm fine. I just got flustered." I sighed and walked down my steps. "Where are you going." I stopped and looked back at her." "They told me some stuff was left behind at their farm. They said I was free to take whatever I wanted if I brought back her late husband's helmet. Sounds like a nice deal, so I'm off to find it" Sapphire looked annoyed, then a strange smile crossed her face. "I'm getting my ax. I'm coming with you griffon raiders, you know." The edge of her tone seemed like a knife at my throat. She jumped down from the stone steps and gulped as I looked at her back as she walked. I sighed and nodded before I walked over to the cave's opening." Best to listen to her. I don't need my throat ripped out." > day 6 > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- Steve pov I sighed as I sat next to a campfire with Sapphire. I looked at the bandages around her leg. I looked at the three crossbows, pissed at the raiders. I looked back at Sapphire’s leg. ‘Why the hell did you come with me?’ I sighed before grabbing a crossbow and using my feet to pull the string back. “What are you doing?” I looked at Sapphire as she tried to put weight on her wounded thigh. Her leg gave out, and she fell to the stone. I dropped the crossbow. “Stop!” She huffed as she got up straight. She leaned on the wall and huffed. “If you're going out there. They’re going to kill you.” I just sat back down and grabbed the crossbow. An arrow appeared in it before vanishing. “You need help, Sapphire. I’m still good to move and it will be night soon. I saw a few of them using healing potions. I’m going to get a few so we can get the hell out of here.” “You’ll get yourself killed! Think about what happened out there.” I huffed before I readied another crossbow. I stopped as I started thinking about what had happened after we left the cave. Steve's pov eight hours ago I hummed don’t mine at night as I waited for Sapphire. “Steve?” I looked over from my spot above the cave. I put two fingers in my mouth and then let out a whistle. Sapphire looked up, and I waved down to her. “Hello.” She blinked as she looked up at me. “How did you?” I smirked before I stood up. “I made a small path up here.” I walked around and started down the side. I walked down a small path on the backside of the cave. I walked around the corner and looked at the puzzled Sapphire. “How do you do stuff like that?” I shrugged before I started to walk. “Magic remember?” She nodded as she looked at me. “Good point.” I huffed and smiled as we walked. I had an iron sword in hand as we walked. I rested my sword on my shoulder as we walked. “So, what item do you want to find first?” She caught me off guard with the question. I hummed as we walked through the trees. “I guess I want to get my hands on a totem of undying. If the legend is true then you can’t be killed while holding it.” “That does sound useful. How do you get something like that?” “You have to kill something called an arch evoker. Once they're dead they drop a totem. I don’t know how it works I think it’s their leftover life energy.” “That sounds a little scary. What are they? Are they undead or something lease?” I shrugged as I walked. “I couldn’t tell you if I tried. I know they are a monster of some kind. All I know is that they use some powerful dark magics. And they can summon more monsters to fight for them.” “Damn, I wonder if that would work with old age.” We stopped. I had to give that one some thought. ‘Hm, you don’t age in the game, so would that totem work like that?’ I rubbed my chin as I looked up at the sky. “You know I have no idea. The original miner used his totem in a great battle.” “What was he fighting?” I shrugged as we started to walk again. “The legend isn’t clear. But, my money is on the ender dragon.” “Ender dragon?” “Did I not tell you about the dragon?” “I don’t think so.” “Well damn, I guess the best way to explain it is that the dragon will keep me from an item I want. I want the elytra, so I’ll have to fight my way through the dragon.” She snorted, and I nodded my head as we started up another hill. “You know the pack isn’t happy.” “I know. But, I couldn’t just throw them back out into the cold.” “Maybe if ponies thought like you we would have been thrown in the cold.” “Ya, but at least life is getting better again.” She huffed as we walked into the open, and I saw a dead cow with arrows covering the body. “Damn.” I nodded as we walked along the tree line. “So, griffon. They fly any favrite weapons I should know about?” “Crossbow and axes.” ‘Pillergers then. I guess I can deal with that.’ We rounded a bend, and I saw griffons walking around the burnt town. They were tall with large wings on their backs, and I could see they were strongly built. Their heads were full of white feathers. A few had grey fur, I guess, on the body. “Damn, this is a big group.” I nodded as we slipped back into the trees. “If you see any wheat tell me right away.” “Why?” “My magic can help us make massive farms in time.” “Okay.” As we walked, I counted as many griffons as I could as we walked. I gave up when I hit twenty-five. ‘Sneaking is the plan.’ We got out of the woods, and we walked over to a half-burnt house. We slipped into the house through the burnt-down wall. “Hey look.” Sapphire pointed to a table, and I smiled and saw a crossbow with arrows. “Score.” I walked over and grabbed the crossbow, making it vanish. I checked and smiled as the crossbow appeared in my hand. “It’s always impressive to see you’re magic.” I laughed as I grabbed all the arrows, making them vanish. I looked at the door. “Keep an eye out lets see what they left in the house.” “Okay Steve.” I looked away from the door to see if they had chests or barrels. I saw a damaged chest. I walked over and looked in, seeing some loose seeds in the bottom. I smiled and scooped them up, making. They vanished, and I checked them. I had ten wheat seeds and three beetroots seeds. “Hey!” Sapphire harshly whispered, and I jumped up. She grabbed me and pulled me hard to the ground with her to the ground. She pulled me tight to her body; she had us between the flipped table and the wall. “Keep our mouth shut!” I felt my face burning as the side of my face was pressed into her leather bra. I heard two guys talking near the hole in the wall. “Damn. This town was poor and not many females either.” I gripped my sword tight before I heard them walk away. Sapphire held me still for a few seconds longer before she let me go. “We need to get that damn helmet and get out of here.” I nodded as we got up. “Listen, slip back into the woods and try to find that damn house. These guys are going to be a pain to dance around.” “So what are you going to do?” We put our backs against the wall as she looked at the forest. “Im thinking a few more crossbows and arrows would make hunting a lot easier.” “Don’t get to crazy.” I nodded before she ran out of the hole into the tree line. I nodded before I stepped out into the open, catching some attention. I rested my sword on my shoulder as I walked toward the two griffons that had walked away. “What is that?” “Wait is that sword made of a gem!?” ‘Don’t forget, this isn’t a game. They don’t come back when you kill them.’ I started to walk faster as I got closer. I lifted my sword off my shoulder and started to run. “It’s attacking!” I smirked as I switched my sword out for the crossbow. It seemed to scare them. I shot the arrow, and it hit a big male in the shoulder. He fell down to the ground holding his shoulder. I switched to my ax as I got onto the shocked griffon. ‘Feathers!” I swung my ax, buried it into his chest, and felt his rips break from the impact. I kicked his body back, making the ax vanishes, and my sword appeared again. I moved fast when I saw a few about to shoot arrows at me. “After him!” I smiled as I ran into a house through a broken door. I heard arrows hitting the wall. I grabbed a table and then flipped it before looking over to a window. I saw a few more coming. I smiled as a few ran in and kicked the table at them. I knocked a few down. I stabbed my sword through the back of the closes one. “Damn it get him!” I grabbed a wooden bowl and threw it at another one coming through the door. I ran up the steps as one cursed and screamed. I saw this house had a door upstairs, and I smiled as I looked at it. I switched to a stone ax before I slammed into the door. A few arrows flew over me. “Someone kill him already!” I shut the door, swung my ax, and buried it into the wood. I let it go with a smile as I saw it deep in the wood right against the door. I then punched the wall a few times and broke two blocks out. I smiled and jumped down to the ground. I landed hard, and a few of my heats when dark. “Hey!” I looked over and saw Sapphire beside a house. She waved her hand for me to follow her. I nodded before she started to run. I followed her and smiled when I saw a house off in the distance. “I saw some cleared land on the other side of the hill. Maybe a farm area or something else.” I nodded, and we hurried off. I looked around and saw a few griffons drinking potions. I saw their wounds healing with a glow. ‘Healing potions!’ I smiled as we ran next to the forest. I watched as we got around the hill and saw the house coming closer. We stopped and then looked around, not seeing any of the griffins. “Hey there is wheat!” I looked where she pointed, and I smiled, seeing the wheat with some potatoes. I smiled and switched over to a stone hoe. I ran out and quickly started to cut down the wheat and potatoes. I had a dozen seeds and ten potatoes. ”Come on!” I saw Sapphire as she ran up to the house. She threw her shoulder into the door, breaking it open. I followed her in, and I quickly summoned another stone ax. I buried it into the wood of the door and the side of the door. “I got it!” I looked up and saw she did have a helmet in her hands. It looked like a well-made iron helmet. “FIRE!” I looked over at the window as bolts came through the window. Sapphire took an arrow to the right thigh. I ran over, sword in hand. I threw her over my shoulder as a bolt flew beside my head. “Stop!” “Shut up!” I ran over to a back door I saw next to a small kitchen. I kicked the door open and started running for the forest. “Steve!” “Shut the hell up!” I ran through the trees, arrows flying by me. I saw a few caves and smiled before turning, heading for the smallest caves. I switched from the helmet and had a stack of cobblestone. ‘Tell me if they get close!” “Fine!” I quickly closed up the cave mouth and then switched to the campfire fast. Steven current pov I nodded my head as I sent the last crossbow away. I summoned my pick-ax and broke open the wall. “I’ll be back soon I promise.” “Steve!” I sealed her back in before I started to run through the trees. I switched back to another stone sword heading for the town. I burst out of the trees charging for the closest house with light coming from it. Two of the griffons were standing by the door looking into the town. I charged them, and they only turned when I was right on them, sword raised. “Shit!” I swung my sword as hard as I could. I took the head off the first guy and slashed the neck of the second one. He fell to his knees he held his neck in a futile attempt to stop his bleeding. I kicked him over and saw he had a bag on his side. I looked at the door, glad to see that no sounds were coming from inside. “Custom Achievement acquired” I jumped, sword ready at the voice. ‘Avanger of the villagers. Custom sword craft awarded.’ I blinked before nodding my head. ‘Think about it later.’ I kneeled down and opened his bag. I grabbed it and ripped it open, seeing a few potions. I grabbed them all, and they vanished. I smiled, then turned and ran back into the forest. Two healing potions in my inventory. ‘Good seems like nobody saw me.’ “Fire!” I looked up and saw four griffins in the air. I jumped to the side, dodging the arrows. I ran through the trees as I made my way to Sapphire. I switched back to my pick-axe, jumped over a small rock, and smiled as I looked at the stones I’d blocked Sapphire in with. I quickly broke it open and slipped in the close the opening. I looked at Sapphire and smiled as I put my back on the stone wall. I sighed as I slid down the stone. “That was quick.” I laughed as I pulled a healing potion. I tossed it over, and she smiled before she drank it, and I saw her leg wound glow. She smiled the threw the empty bottle out of the top of the small cave I left open. Sapphire smiled as she got up, and she looked at me with a happy look in her eye. “Your one hell of a hound, you know that?” I laughed as I knocked on the wall. “Well, your a bitch I’m happy to do it for.” She blushed and laughed a little as she looked down at me. “My, you sure can be bold when you want to be.” I laughed again and stood up, and Sapphire pulled me into a hug. I patted her back and ran my fingers down her neck. She sighed and held me a little tighter. “That’s so much better without claws.” I smiled before I pulled away from her. “Come on, we need get back. I have a farm and a house to build for the ponies.”
