Prologue: The Night Begins
Once again, it is a great day in Ponyville... And listen. *Screen Hearing Distant Laughter* Fun laughter is in the air. Let's see what's going on.
*Screen views a group laughing wildly*
Oh... It's only Pinkie Pie, Rainbow Dash, Raptor, Soulfire, Makoto, Sonic, Datozo, and the Cutie Mark Crusaders, laughing their heads off after a pranking day. They went to the Oak Library, knocked on the door, and hid completely from sight, leaving behind a gift. Spike opened the door and saw it, followed by Chameleo walking up behind him.
"Ooh! Hey, Chameleo! Someone left me a present! And it's not even my birthday!" Spike said cheerfully.
"Strange, but eh... Go on and open it." Chameleo said to the little drake as Spike grabbed the lid.
"Ooh, this is gonna be gold!" RD whispered to the other pranksters as they continued hiding, snickering in anticipation.
When Spike opened the box, a head jumped out at him and Chameleo, scaring them greatly.
"GAH!!!" Spike screamed.
"WHOA!!!" Chameleo yelped.
But they calmed down when they realized it was just a Jack-in-the-box, as a plastic head on a spring in the box. Then they heard laughter, as they saw the pranksters come out of hiding and went away. But they just smiled, knowing it was all in good fun.
"(Sigh...) Those pranksters. I'll get them back." Chameleo calmly said with a smile
"That was a good one! Pinkie's always pulling a fast one on me!" Spike commented with a laugh.
It was all a good day, and everypony headed home for the night. But there was something strange going on at Sugarcube Corner, in Pinkie's room, and I mean really strange. Pinkie was shifting and turning in her bed, fearfully, as if she was having a nightmare. In fact, she was, for she seemed to be running away, in fear of something.
"Are you having fun yet?" A mysterious voice asked.
"I know fun, AND THIS IS THE OPPOSITE OF FUN!!!" Pinkie screamed as she started running faster. But then all of a sudden, she trotted into a dead end, leaving her cornered.
"Now, don't be scared." The mysterious voice said, causing the party mare to turned around, seeing the body of that voice. It was a strange stitched white anthro bunny rabbit with a blue bowtie and menacing glowing red eyes. She crept closer, and closer, and grabbed Pinkie Pie as the pony screamed out of absolute terror, causing the earth pony to shoot up, wide awake, in the middle of the night.
"Calm down, Pinkie. It was just a dream, yeah, a bad dream." Pinkie told herself as she gave out a scared and nervous laugh, trying to go back to sleep, but found herself unable to. "I really need to tell Princess Luna and the others about this."
Next morning, Twilight and Chameleo met up with all of their best friends.
"Morning everypony." Twilight greeted as they all greeted back.
But then Chameleo noticed something off. "Wait a minute. Where's Pinkie?" He asked the others, not knowing where.
"Something's wrong with her!" A voice called out, revealing to be Inferno who spoke. They saw him and the other five members of the CMC carrying Pinkie Pie, who looked absolutely exhausted, due to her baggy eyes and flat mane.
"Whoa! What happened, squirt?" Rainbow Dash asked Scootaloo.
"No idea! When we tried to find her, we went to her room, and found her asleep." The pegasus filly answered.
But then all of a sudden, Pinkie jolted up, wide awake and screaming in fear, scaring everyone else.
"Pinkie! Why'd y'all wanna scare us like that?" Applejack asked her friend, not happy about that jumpscare.
"I'm really really sorry about that! I didn't mean to, I didn't even know I was carried here!" Pinkie explained.
"What happened to ya, little gal? Where did that happy energy go?" Datozo asked Pinkie, concerned, as Angel bunny hopped in front of Fluttershy.
"GAH!!! Stay away from me!" Pinkie screamed as she ran and hid from Angel, much to his own and everyone else's confusion.
"Um, Pinkie... Why are you acting scared of Angel? That's not like you." Fluttershy said to Pinkie.
"Wait, it's only Angel?" Pinkie asked as she peeked out of her hiding spot and gave a sigh of relief, knowing it was only Fluttershy's pet. "Oh, I'm really sorry. It's just, ever since last night, I couldn't sleep much and I'm really jumpy about white rabbits." Pinkie explained.
"Wait, what happened last night?" Viper asked the party mare.
"A strange tall rabbit, standing on two legs, it had stitches everywhere on it, it was wearing a blue bowtie, really scary red eyes and gave a really creepy smile. It asked if I was having fun, and if you call being chased around by a psychomaniac wanting to shake you to death "fun," I wasn't having any fun. I know fun." Pinkie answered with a whimper.
"That can't be a coincidence." Crane said.
"Definitely." Raptor agreed.
"That sounds like that dream Twilight had about Clockwerk." Spike realized.
"Ugh... Please, Spike. Do be a dear and not mention that name." Rarity requested the drake.
"Wait, why?" Inferno asked.
"It's not good memories." Sweetie Belle answered.
"Yeah, especially Aunt Sapphira's gone because of that metal bird." Water Wing agreed in distain.
"Oh. Right. Sorry." Spike apologized.
"It's okay, Spike. Besides, that does sound a whole lot like that." Vector said.
*Knock-Knock*
"I got it." Sonic said as he zipped to the door, opening it to see Big Mac.
"Huh. Big Mac, what're you here for?" Sonic asked the stallion.
"Ah'm here ta hang out with Spike." Big Mac answered.
"Oh, he's here big guy, but we're talking about something important." Sonic said.
"Somethin' important?" Big Mac asked.
"Pinkie Pie's exhausted and scared out of her hooves because of a nightmare she had." Sonic explained.
"Whoa nelly. I'll try to help then." Big Mac said to the speedster.
"Okay. Come on." Sonic responded as he and the earth pony went back to the others.
"Big Mac?!" Apple Bloom gasped.
"What're y'all doin' here?" Apple Wasp asked his big brother.
"Ta hang out with Spike, but I'm gonna help y'all get Pinkie Pie feeling better." Big Mac told his little siblings.
"Ah appreciate it, Big Mac." AJ responded with a tip of her hat.
Then a portal appeared, catching the others by surprise.
"Whoa!" Makoto gasped.
"Looks like we'll find the source of Pinkie's nightmare in there." Morrigan guessed.
"Seems to be the case." Blade agreed.
"As much as I would love to go on another adventure, I must stay here, just in case trouble comes to Ponyville." Skylyzi said.
"I'm staying here as well." Mamota agreed.
"I think I'll go fishing." Big said.
"Me and Cheese will stay here too, but please everyone, be careful." Cream added as Cheese agreed with a "Chao!"
"Okay, looks like we're off." Chameleo said.
"Let's go do our best." Twilight added as everyone else agreed.
Everypony in the room went into the portal, even the CMCs. In the portal, they saw a window to the past, hearing a voice.

Everyone in the portal saw what happened, but unknown to them, those older Spike and the CMCs went unconscious as they all began to transform.
At the Mega Pizzaplex, a portal opened in dark hallway, as everyone in there went out of it.
"Whoa. That was a bit of a wild ride." Spike said before noticing something. "Everyone! We're humans!" He told the CMCs, who saw that he was right as they were in their human forms. But unfortunately, Apple Wasp noticed something else.
"Uh... Guys... We may be human, but everyone else ain't!" Apple Wasp pointed out, as Apple Bloom turned to his direction and gained a look of shock, knowing he was right. "He's right y'all! Look!"
The other kids looked and saw the older family and friends unconscious and mechanical. They also had strange markings on their faces, clothings, and accessories that looked like outrageous rock stars.
"Wow, Rarity actually looks great." Sweetie Belle admitted, admiring her elder sister's appearance.
"Yeah, I think so too, but I think we should look at ourselves." Water Wing pointed out.
Everyone looked at themselves, seeing that they were wearing clothing that wear similar to the style of the mechanized heroes.
"Whoa! We look awesome!" Inferno cheered.
"Yeah! Just like during the talent show!" Scootaloo agreed, before the kids heard footsteps, causing them to panic.
"What're we gonna do, y'all?!" Apple Bloom asked, starting to get scared.
"Ah don't know, but Ah don't like what's goin' on!" Apple Wasp answered, as feeling pressured.
"Oh...! I wish our siblings could help us!" Sweetie Belle whimpered.
"C'mon! They gotta help us!" Water Wing agreed, when all of a sudden, the chests of Twilight Sparkle, Pinkie Pie, Rainbow Dash, Raptor, Rarity, Fluttershy, Applejack and Big Mac opened up, revealing to be empty and big enough for them to fit into.
"I think they can hide us! C'mon!" Spike urged as they went to different heroes.
"I'll admit, this is starting to get scary, even for me." Inferno admitted.
"Me too." Scootaloo scarcely agreed as she went into Rainbow Dash, Inferno into Raptor, Spike into Twilight, Sweetie Belle into Rarity, Water Wing into Fluttershy, Apple Bloom into Applejack and Apple Wasp into Big Mac, before their chests closed on them. Pinkie Pie's chest was still open, when the source of the footsteps was revealed to be a little girl, known as Melody.
"I need to hide. But where?" Melody wondered before spotting Pinkie Pie with her chest open. "That'll work!" Melody realized as she got into Pinkie's chest, with that closing on the girl, hiding her from sight.
But then a figure walked up to the unconscious machines holding a flashlight, as the figure sighed. "More animatronics? Better put them in Freddy's room, but I'll need help." The figure said, sounding female, as she began to drag each and every one of the robot bodies with the help of other robots towards an orange room.
